1:57Yeah, pardon my take Yeah, pardon my take Yeah, pardon my take Yeah, pardon my take Welcome to Pardon My Take presented by DraftKings. The crown is yours. Today is Friday, November 7th, and we got some bad Thursday night football, boys. PFT, I have one question for you. Are you still a Bo Lever? He stunk. I'm a Bo Lever, but Bo wins football games. This is why we've been saying that he is Tim Tebow. You can give him all the credit in the world for this. And that was a dog shit football game. The NFL should send us a thank you card for watching it. We're going to keep consuming that garbage. It doesn't matter.
2:45I don't think that there's any two-team combination that could roll out there on a Thursday night where I wouldn't actually tune in and watch. But I did wish for a moment that YouTube TV was also blocking prime video. I thought that would have been nice, I think. But Bo Nix tonight was so bad. So bad. There was one particularly. It was a really egregious sequence. I forget if it was in the second or third quarter. It was around halftime. But they picked off Geno Smith in plus territory. Then the Broncos go three and out. Punt. then they force a three and out from the Raiders and block that punt, then get the ball at like the 10 yard line.
3:29And then they go three and out and kick a field goal. Yeah. And that's, that's what tonight was. That was the offensive explosion. And ironically, if you thought it was going to be a punt fest, I, in the first half, AJ Cole was dominant as a punter, two coffee corner punts inside the one. And, and the Broncos. The Broncos. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He was getting booed. I did learn something. They were booing the punter. They were booing the whole team, even though they were winning, which I don't blame them for. We're going to talk about windmills later on in today's episode, but I learned something tonight.
4:02I learned a fact about wind because in the first quarter, the wind was blowing so strong and the ball was like rolling around the field. The referee had to come in and like re-spot the ball. Did you know that at altitude, mile high, the wind doesn't have as much of an effect because the air is so thin so if it's blowing 20 miles an hour 20 miles an hour in denver is like uh 25 miles an hour down at sea level so just something to remember in the future that is it's a good good thing to remember i don't want to remember anything from this game uh the raiders are just dog shit they had one drive where you're like oh the raiders are live tonight they had the graphic at the end of the game the raiders had one interception one punt blocked nine penalties one missed field goal one touchdown negated by a penalty and while they were showing that graphic they kept it on there for a very long time almost like a really rubbing it in they were just showing everyone sat on the sideline Gino got hurt and the Raiders are so bad they're like we just got to make sure he he's like 30 percent and we'll keep playing him and the game to me um the perfect encapsulation was when the Broncos it was third quarter on like maybe the 40 yard line the Raiders 40 yard line they had a third and one it was like third and maybe like six inches and they decided to do a trick play pass backwards uh that almost was a fumble and then ended up being a sack and it was the most what the fuck are we doing right now what are you doing Sean Payton what are you like just run the you have third and one in a game that the Raiders cannot score, just run the ball right in their face twice.
5:43And if you don't get it, guess what? The Raiders cannot score. So it doesn't really matter. And it was just – the whole thing was just a debacle. Like, I don't remember seeing two pretty makeable kicks missed in mile high like it were – like it was tonight. It was just – this is what happens later in the season. Thursday night football becomes a slog, especially division games where teams know each other. I don't know how much longer Pete Carroll will do this. It doesn't seem like he's having fun. I would agree. And I'm starting to agree with Hank. I don't know how much competitive advantage Tom Brady could possibly be getting if that's what the end result of it looks like tonight.
6:20Yeah. And you could actually make the argument that the Raiders maybe outplayed the Broncos. Yeah. Because in the first half, there were two drives, back-to-back drives for the Raiders. um one knocked them out of field goal range on a penalty one knocked them out of field goal range on just a stupid sack by geno smith stupid sack on that they could have easily had six more points hypothetically at least three more points let's just say that that the kicker misses one of those two um now that i think about i don't think either team outplayed the other team i think they were both equally bad tonight uh Bo Nix sometimes when he drops back and he just chucks it he is he looks like he's playing 500 the most of any NFL quarterback I've ever seen yeah yeah the total yards by the way in this game total yards were just over 400 total for both teams so both teams were under two or the Broncos had 220 the Raiders had 188 it was both had 10 first downs yeah they I'm looking at the stats right now.
7:27It was six passing first downs to five, four rushing first downs to five. They were both just shitty, and it was a tough watch. 22 penalties total. And the Bo Nix's, I will say this, Bo Nix's interceptions weren't really his fault. No, they weren't. The first one. Yeah, the second one wasn't his fault. The first one was. the first one was the 500 throw where he drops back and he throws it as high as he can and under throws his receiver by about seven yards to the point where the receiver a cornerback and a safety all turn around get their hips squared to the ball retreat three yards and then jump in the air to try to make a catch yeah that's that seems to be what Bo likes to do and I think we were all waiting for him to just turn it on in the fourth quarter because the Broncos offense is so much different in the fourth quarter than it has been for the previous three quarters it just never happened it was just they built the entire game out of the first quarter yeah so all right that was Thursday Night Football I'm mad at ourselves for uh waiting to record the beginning of it we should have been we love we love the AWL so much we had to we we always stay up for Thursday Night Football I'm mad at myself right now I think the AWLs are mad at us they're like why did we do eight minutes on what the fuck we just watched just prolong the game there's a little overtime from a shitty game got it i was when the raiders were lining up for that kick i was like if this fucking game goes to overtime it was reminding you know reminiscent of the broncos colts game the russell wilson matt ryan game a few years ago it was it was just so it was i would have liked al to get a little bit more upset during this game he he usually reserves his uh anger for the referees now on Thursday night where he'll just be like, yep, well I could have told you there was going to be a penalty before they snapped the ball.
9:22My, my theory too on Al is that it just depends on how long of a flight he had to take. So when he's like at a chargers, the chargers playing the Vikings, which was a blowout, he was pretty happy tonight. Broncos like Denver to LA is not that long of a flight. If he has to call next week, jets, Patriots, we're going to get a surly, surly Al Michaels. because he's got to go cross country. He's going to be pissed off. That's a fact. I do like it. It's cathartic for us to listen to because we're thinking the same things as Al. So I'm glad that he's reached the point in his career where sometimes he just doesn't give a fuck and he'll be like, this game stinks, guys.
10:01I'm sorry. They actually need to do that for, like, they should have a second set of announcers for when a game goes really shitty that you can roll in that are just, it's like, you know what? the way this game's going we're bringing in the hater crew and they just start shitting on everything we should have that should be something that you can opt into i think we'd be pretty good at that role yeah we'll just sit in our studio be like hey just just call us when a game's going really bad we'll just just hop on and we'll just be the hater crew yeah i like that idea i like it a lot yeah okay uh we're gonna kick it to ourselves back in studio we're gonna have more fun because we actually have week 10 to talk about talk some windmills talk some jerry o 'connell have have chris long on the podcast great podcast back to ourselves okay before we get to the weekend preview draft kings nfl fans what's your favorite touchdown there's over a hundred years of tds to pick from for me it's the next one because with draft king sportsbook and official sports betting partner the nfl every touchdown could bring you closer to cashing in draft kings sportsbook delivers the unmatched intensity of the NFL right to your fingertips from first touchdown score to any time TD props or the thrill of live in-game betting.
11:19Every snap is loaded with opportunity. Boys, we got to win one. Did we get shut out? Well, Luke got hurt. Let's see. Luke got hurt. That was early exit. Mahomes didn't throw any touchdowns. I had Kelsey. Yeah. Yeah. Who was the third? I can't even remember. We scored one. It was bad. Was it Puka? Yeah. No, Puka didn't score. Remember, he almost scored? at the beginning of the game? I think he did. I thought Puga did score. He scored later? He did score. Okay. Either way, we're bad right now, so we've got to come up with something good. We've got to come up with something good. We'll have that later on in the show.
11:52Luke would have scored. Luke would have scored. That was the Luke night. Yeah, and Travis should have scored. Yeah. All right, so here's the best part. New customers bet just$5. It is the Bengals, the Cowboys, the Titans, and the Chiefs. I'm okay with the Titans being on a buy. Yeah, it's really nice. That's nice.
13:57We have back. We're back to the morning games. We have a Germany game, and we'll start there with the Falcons and the Colts in Berlin or Munich? Berlin. Berlin. And the Colts are hosting. Yeah. They're the home team this weekend. The Colts are the home team. Very important. Colts are minus 6.5. Over under is 48.5. The Falcons got to win one of these desperate games. I don't know if it's going to be this one. I'm just pumped to see Sauce Gardner in that uniform. Yeah. So this has got to be a crazy week for him. So he gets traded, and then he flies over to Germany. on Thursday night, and he hangs out with the team for the first...
14:36It's going to be like an unrealistic expectation for that relationship moving forward. It's like the first week of your relationship is on vacation somewhere. Yeah. But I think that he's exactly what the Colts need in terms of a football player. Yeah, Raheem Morris said he hopefully doesn't have a passport. That would be nice. Just a fun little coach joke. Do you remember season one, year one of part of my take, we kept diving into whether or not teams had passports. Yes, that's right. Where everyone has to get a passport. We should ask Chris Long that. The second you get to the NFL, make sure you have your passport.
15:07Now every team needs it, not just the Jaguars. Yeah. This will also be Raheem Morris' first time coaching overseas without a quarterback named Josh. That's a fun stat. So he lost in 2011 with Josh Freeman, lost in 2009 with Josh Johnson. Okay. So will he be prepared to play without a Josh? Josh-less. Yeah. Although he's 0-2. he's two times two Joshes 0-2 so not a Josh Merchant no the opposite maybe he needs to rid himself from Josh to have a chance finally Josh Free see if he can get one I like the Colts in this one I think the bounce back for the Colts is going to be high they're a very good team we talked to Chris Long about it in a minute adding someone like Sauce Gardner at the deadline it gives you the pump up of like we're going for it I do have one thing I wanted to throw out to you guys and I'm going to say this right now.
16:00I don't believe it, but I was just looking at it, okay? I was just looking at it. And it's the odds to win the AFC South. Obviously, the Colts are very, very good. They're 7-2. The Jaguars are 5-3. Yeah. The Jaguars are plus 3-10 right now. And I say that because if you've looked at the Colts' schedule, it's not easy. Yeah. I'm in. They have a pretty tough schedule. So I broke it down. The Colts are playing the Falcons this week. I think that's probably a win. Then they have the Chiefs, Texans, Jaguars. Seahawks 49ers back-to-back is tough, and then finish again with the Jaguars and Texans. This all comes down to, my theory is this, the Jaguars actually control their own destiny.
16:44If they could somehow beat the Colts twice, they will win the AFC South. Yeah, that counts. That counts as control your own destiny. Yeah, like if you look at it, and then on the other side, the Jaguars schedule is a lot easier. They played the Texans this week. Then they have the Chargers, which is a tough game. Then the Cardinals, Titans. They also have the Jets in there, and they have the Titans again. So they still have two more games. They have four games against the Titans, Jets, or Cardinals. You sound a little bit like Prisco right now. I'm just saying. If you look at the Jaguars' schedule.
17:15I don't think the Jaguars are better than the Colts. I just want that on the record. I'm just saying if you're looking for value, the Colts have a difficult schedule. and the Jaguars have an easier schedule and they play twice. And if the Jaguars can somehow beat the Colts twice, that would erase the lead that exists right now. And then you're just going on the rest of the schedule and the Jaguars have an easier schedule. I get that. That's a very logical argument for the Jacksonville Jaguars. I just think that the Colts are a much better team. Hank, are you betting it? Yeah, I just did. Okay.
17:49I couldn't bring myself to bet it. I was just more doing a thought starter like, Like, hey, who's maybe got a little value going into halfway point of the season? What's Trevor Lawrence's record as a starter in November and December? I would want to look that up. Probably not good. Because I don't think it's very good. No. I don't think his record as a starter, period, is very good. Because remember, he started with Urban Meyer and went 2-14 or whatever. That is true. But when they've stacked wins, it's usually been early on in the year. Yeah. For the Jaguars. And faded a little. Yeah. By the way, here's a stat for you.
18:19Your team's coming off a straight-up loss as a favorite before an international game are 15-9 against the spread, including 2-0 against the spread this season. Just an interesting, like, hey, if you were a favorite and then you lost, you usually have a nice bounce-back game. Yep. Just one of those angles that we always look for. Like, if you've got a big game coming up, you don't want the team that's a favorite to lose that week. Yep. That kind of thing. Interesting angle to get. It's just an angle that has some stats to back it up. Yep. Can you repeat that stat? I don't know if that's already.
18:52Yeah, teams coming off a straight-up loss as a favorite before an international series game are 15-9 against the spread, including 2-0 against spread this season. That's pretty crazy. Yeah, so if you're a favorite and you lose a game, you're going to probably have a real... Did you say international? That's international. Yeah, no, no, I know. It's just one data point. But that's just... What do you mean? Neutral site. Yeah. So you said international? It's an international series game. Neutral site. But it's team coming off a loss, a straight-up loss, as a favorite. Before an international series game.
19:20Yeah, yeah, yeah. Then they get a little... It's just one interesting data point. It's just one interesting data point, dude. It's not like it's... That's not the entire... I have said about data points. It's interesting for the international series, for sure. It's very interesting for the international series. This is sad. This is so sad. There was just some news that just came out right now as we're talking about this game. So I'm really glad that Schefter tweeted this out at the moment. We just got tagged with sad. Yeah, we did. It was sad. Make the graphic. BFD and Big Cat, sad. DeForest Buckner is not traveling to the game.
19:51Doesn't have his passport? Neck injury. Ah. Yeah, neck injury. So that's a big one. Flying with a hurt neck would suck. Yeah, but you know it would kick ass if you were told you didn't have to go on the international trip the day of the international trip. Imagine how awesome that would be. I hope he doesn't have to go, right? Incredible. Don't put that man on a plane. Do you think he goes to the facility? Watches at the facility? Dude, there's got to be no. It's like Home Alone. Yeah. Just go to the facility and just have it all to yourself. Just order a bunch of pizza. That would be so awesome.
20:22That would be very cool. Mark Sanchez is trying to break in. We should set up booby traps for him. We should see if a team will host us at their facility on a week they're in international. Do you think they have like a big screen TV that just the people that work in that office get to watch the game on? Yeah, probably. Like a huge one. Yeah, like a really, really big one. Yeah. That would kick ass. Our dreams are basically finding another place we can watch all the football games that have an open space, maybe a basketball court or something. Oh, he's so sick. They probably have an ice cream machine there.
20:52They probably have an ice cream machine, probably have a shitload of food delivered. A hot tub. Oh, man. Watching it in the team issued a hot tub. That'd be sick. That would kick ass. What are the Falcons doing with kickers? They got Zane. They got Zane. So they went from Young Ho to Parker to Zane. Parker Romo is no longer their kicker, I think. I'm pretty sure Zane is going to be kicking in this game. He's a good kicker. he just it's tough i don't want to discriminate against individuals with obsessive compulsive disorder because it's a real thing that people learn to live with their entire lives but it it just doesn't give you the most confidence as a fan when you're watching on tv and your kicker is having to do his rituals before he goes on the field now he's a good kicker he's managed it and it's got a name pretty impressive that he's gotten to this point in his profession yeah which is all about being mentally tough yep uh so he's obviously figured out a way to to take what was a limiting factor and make it a strength of his i'm just speaking strictly if you're watching on tv and you're nervous and you see that it doesn't it makes you more nervous yeah yeah but shout out zane i got another two uh quick stats for you one i don't understand but i'll just say it because it sounds cool colts have scored 61.3 more points than their expected point totals this year number one in the NFL Falcons have scored 39.8 fewer points than their expected point totals this year number 32 in the NFL so basically the Colts are way over expected and the Falcons are disappointing yep and then the other one which you know PFT your season last year there was a big a big part of the what the commanders were doing was aggressiveness on fourth down it felt like you guys were always getting fourth downs having the ball kind of roll your way the Colts are kind of in that zone right Right now, the Colts on the season are 15 of 17 on fourth downs.
22:43That's good. 88.2 % conversion percentage. No team has ever had 15 plus fourth down attempts through their first nine games with that high of a conversion percentage. 2020 Bengals had the second most. That's pretty crazy. Yeah. And then you get to the point where now you're calling plays on second down, not necessarily to must get a first down or third down. You're not having to get a first down. You're calling plays that could get you like one yard away, two yards away, three yards away, and then you have a play for that and ready to go. Yeah, the Colts have been great this year. I think Steichen, he's like top, what, definitely in the top three for coach of the year so far this year.
23:20Yeah, so one thing I'm looking at in this game is the fact that we're seeing a lot of back-to-back games from Bajon where he does not look great combined with the Falcons just forgetting to use him. And Indy has the number four ranked rush defense. And what we could be looking at is another one of those games. If the Colts jump out to a lead, the Falcons forgetting to use Bajon. What the Falcons need to do is just put in the cool Bajon camera in every stadium. Yeah. Because that seems like when he does really well. I agree with that. Yeah. Like fly it out on your own dime if you're the Falcons.
23:59And Arthur Blank's like, listen, I paid$50 ,000 to put this camera in the stadium in Berlin. Do we know anything about the grass in Berlin? I don't. Because the international games, always weird grass situations going on there. Always. Maybe some slippery-ass turf. I don't know. I'll be breaking out the World War II puns. Got to. Don't really have any right. I wish the Colts still had Reich as their coach. That would help. That would be fish in a barrel for this. That would be very easy for them. They're going to love Kirk Cousins, though. They're just going to look at him and be like, wow. Yeah, look at that guy.
24:32Look at his jawline. He is him. Yeah. Okay, let's go to Sunday afternoon or the first slate. So we're getting our morning slate out of the way. We have the Giants at Bears. Bears minus four and a half over under is 46 and a half. The Giants are still wearing their throwback helmets. Good. Which are awesome. I'm nervous about this game because I don't think the Bears can stop anything. And that makes you nervous about every game. Yeah, I mean, I understand that. But the defense has looked a lot better. Like, you've held up against the run. Ours? Yeah, at times. Yeah, you've held up against the run at times.
25:08Not if... 470 yards for Joe Flacco was bad. Right. No, the defense is not good, and it's very injured, and we don't have a pass rush, and we don't have a secondary. Two very important parts of defense. I do think the Bears are going to have a lot of success just running the ball down the Giants' throat, and that would be my hope for this game. But yeah, the Giants are frisky. I mean, Jackson Dart is a definition of a frisky quarterback right now. He is. He's made a lot of really good plays when he's had to scramble around off schedule. That's what's tough for Brian Dable. And he's done a great job, like we said, of trying to date Jackson Dart.
25:48They're probably going to get to the hotel in Chicago, and Dable's going to be like, oh, this is crazy. They only give us one hotel room. Oh, fuck. I guess we could see if they could do two beds. Yeah. Oh, shit. Oh, shit. They don't have two beds. So maybe just one. But he does. We'll go head to feet. Yeah, it's all good. Yeah. But it kind of hurts his case a little bit that Jackson Dart is making a lot of these plays outside the design play. Like scrambling around and making something happen on the move. Not really the way that it's drawn up. So while you might get a few splashy plays, Dable's like, fuck, I really wish that my offense was working a little bit better so that I could claim them a little bit harder.
26:28But yeah, I think you're right. I think Chicago is going to just they're going to pound the fuck out of the rock. We got to pound the rock. We got to pound the rock. I did see my friends at Sports Info Solution did send me a positive Bears stat. So the Bears are actually not better when they're doing a lot of motion, pre-snap motion. They have a 53 % success rate on dropbacks without motion and 41 % with motion. and the Giants, though, are a pass defense that's top five against motion and bottom five against static looks. So that actually plays into the Bears' favor in this game. That is good.
27:04The Giants are not good when it's static. The Bears are better when it's static. How many players are going to attempt to pass for the Bears this weekend? I think as many as Ben Johnson wants. Yeah. As many as Ben Johnson. By the way, Caleb Williams, not wrong just early. the Bears through eight games have the least amount of punts in their franchise history in the Super Bowl era. 26 punts. Not wrong, just early. That was bad last year when it was like 85 punts after he sent that text. No, the offense has been looking exciting. Just wasn't right. Yeah, Colson Love an MVP. Yes. He won the MVP last week.
27:40He did, yeah. He got slimed. He got slimed big time. And Ben Johnson confirmed on a podcast this week that he just watches guys at practice and he notices if they can throw. And he's like, okay, we'll work out a new trick play for this guy. Yeah, you're right. He looks like he's got a fucking cannon on his arm. I do think the Bears are going to win this game. I'm just, when you go into a game with a bad defense, anything can happen. I have a question about the Bears for you, Big Cat. Roma Dunsay's dad. Yeah, he's always been a little bit of an issue. I kind of like him. Yeah. Because he's like always standing up for his son.
28:15Sometimes I imagine that Rome leaves practice. Because he's like, what a dad tweet. Oh, shit. I don't think it's speaking for Rome at all. No. I think he's speaking like, as a dad, my son's the best. Get him the ball. Here's where my take on Rome Adunze's dad. I think his name is James. James Adunze. He has tweeted many times about stuff. And I think that if you're going to be one of those dads, if you do it a lot, I don't care. Because it becomes kind of white noise. Like, oh, he's mad again. it's when a dad just shows up out of nowhere one time and being like they're fucking over my son then you have to write articles about it and take notice to it yes he's just he's just doing it he's done this multiple times i don't care he's sticking up for his son yeah it doesn't bother me that's kind of how i looked at it too and i i like that the bears put out a video of roma dunze mic'd up during the game and then tagged it like selfless yeah almost in a respect like the bears clap back at Roma Dunsay's dad online.
29:11Yeah, he actually, like, if you watch that game, he was doing a great job blocking in that game, and that was a big Ben Johnson culture change thing, the whole no block, no rock. Yeah. And part of the run game being good is because guys are buying in. DJ Moore, Roma Dunsay, these guys are buying into blocking downfield, and you get these big chunk plays in the run game. So, yeah, Rome's fine. He had one game where he didn't catch a ball. Who cares? He's got a good amount of touchdowns this year. I think they'll probably try to target him a few times. I'm excited for this game. It's not a must win, but the gateway, the 6-3 gateway would really be nice if we got the 6-3 and not the 5-4.

29:51How hot is the seat for Brian Dable? Would you say is it blazing hot? Well, to answer your question, yeah, you have the quote? Yeah, well, I have the report. Oh, I have the John Mara quote. Do you have a John Mara quote? Oh, no, there was a report that came out like an hour ago. Oh, I don't have that. You give your quote. The quote from John Mara was in January of 2025. He said, if I'm sitting here a year from now and you're asking me these questions, I'll take the heat on bringing back Brian Dable and Joe Shane. It's been almost a year and you're still getting the questions. So you taking the heat?
30:22I guess he's got to take the heat. He's got to take the heat. Well, there was a report that came out like an hour ago. Sean Marash from New York. He's a radio host there. He said that Dable was about to be fired right after the Denver Broncos loss. Oh, wow. When they gave up that late fourth quarter lead, the collapse, and someone talked John Mara out of it. He was going to be fired in Denver, I think. Was it Jackson Dart? It could have been Jackson Dart. Or Jackson Dart's dad, I don't know. But it did feel like it was a very, very bad loss. I didn't know that Dable, I didn't think that the Giants organization was leave a coach on the tarmac.
30:59Yeah. I didn't think that they had that in them. We talked about it on Monday's show. Brian Dable, first year, 7-2 through nine games. 2-7, yeah. Yeah, and then he's... No, no, he was 7-2 through nine games his first year. Okay, yeah, yeah. And then since then, 2-7, 2-7, 2-7. Yep. That's... You could think he's a good coach. At some point, records have to matter. Yeah. And that's really what it comes down to. I do think he's a good coach, but... Records have to matter. They have to matter at some point. And Jackson Dart's dad went on an Ole Miss podcast this week, and they asked him about Lane Kiffin.
31:32And he was like, yeah, we're on a text thread with him. The whole Dart family is still texting with Lane, which is awesome. And then somebody sent a link to Lane Kiffin to the Giants as a joke, and Lane Kiffin said, not interested, too cold up there. So Lane Kiffin has officially taken his hat out of the running to be the Giants' next head coach. Because of coldness. That's actually nice that he gets to the – Lane Kiffin is so sought after, or he can just decide his next job based on temperature. Yeah, but do you think that they would have made more moves if they were going to get a new coach or a new GM?
32:06Actually, it's more on the GM, I think. Yeah, I think they're a combo. But then they did draft Jackson Dart. Yeah, that's good. If you're trying to attract a – I think a good young quarterback will bring in a coach, but having assets, that would bring in a great GM, right? And so they didn't really get any of those before the trade deadline. But they do have a good roster. I shouldn't say good roster. They have some pieces that are nice. Yes. I think they have the exact right amount of pieces to get a very good coach. If you're talking about quarterback, they have running back. Andrew Thomas is really good.
32:44They theoretically have a very good defensive line. Yeah, very good. And some very young pieces on defense. So there's something there. Yeah. This will be a tight game, though. I just don't know if the Bears have the ability to blow anyone out because of their defense. Are you going to do Giants? I did them last week. Hungry Dog? I don't know. I can go back to the well. Okay. Let us know when the Hungry Dog, when you start popping up, okay? I just want to say if Brian Dable does get left on the tarmac in Chicago. I mean, there's two obvious ones. Just come to the office. Yeah. Come hang. Immediate guest on part of my take Sunday night.
33:24Couch is yours. We have a Jackson Dart at home. His name's Ben Mintz. Yeah. You can just talk to him. Okay, Bills at Dolphins. Dolphins minus nine and a half. Or sorry, Bills minus nine and a half. Over under is 50 and a half. The Bills just own the Dolphins. They have owned them in this series. Overall, the Bills have beaten the Dolphins in seven straight meetings, including 14-1 straight up in their last 15 matchups. That's a lot. Yeah, so the last time that the Dolphins beat the Bills the Bills were also on a seven game winning streak. So it's tough to beat the Miami Dolphins eight times in a row.
33:59Okay. That's what we always say. I think the Bills are probably going to win this game. I would tend to agree with that. Brandon Bean basically was like the trade deadline. It sounded like the Bills were trying to make moves. And it was just what he said. Damn, that was a waste of time. Yeah. That's what he said about the trade deadline. Do you think that the Bills – which fan base do you think is the most upset at the lack of moves at the trade deadline? The Bills could be up there. Patriots could be up there. Hank personally could be up there. Probably – I'd say probably the Bills wanted a receiver.
34:37But we're going to talk to Chris Long. He's going to tell us why the Bills are just fine how they are and built to win. Yeah, I think their tight ends are going to go nuts this weekend. This is kind of weird for Miami, though, because they're just basically playing out this season, not going to fire or bench anyone. There just kind of is what it is. They're just showing up. It's that meme, the teacher who shows up in the same shirt every day. That's just what they're doing. Mike McDaniel is showing up in the same pair of capris. Yeah. Tua is showing up with the same attitude of, hey, I can try my best, but I'm still short.
35:13Yeah. And then they're going to lose. and then next week they'll just show up with the same thing and nothing is going to change. I mean, hopefully if you're a Dolphins fan, nothing does change this season. Yeah. Just lose. Just lose. Just lose out. Got to hit the hard. Well, they did fire Greer. Yeah, they did fire Greer. We didn't think that that was going to happen. That's true. So they did make one change. You're right. If you're a Dolphins fan, that's actually a huge change that you have because I don't think anybody expects McDaniel to come back next season no matter what. Right? So they did make the big change that you were renting planes out to fly banners behind demanding.
35:48So I think you've got to be a tiny bit optimistic about the direction that you're going. Yeah. And then Tua said that he's not playing to keep his job. He's playing to try to help our team win. That's good. Yeah. His eye is still fucked up a little bit. His eye, it got more red, I think. It's weird. It's weird. So, yeah, this game is Bills. Yeah. Okay, next up, good game. Battle of the Purple. Ravens, Vikings. Right now, the Vikings are three-and-a-half point underdogs. Over-under is 49-and-a-half. I like the over in this game. I just don't think. I think Lamar. I think the Ravens are ready to take off.
36:30I think they're ready to take off. A little stat that a lot of people forget about Lamar Jackson and his record against the NFC. He's 0-2. in his last matchups against NFC teams. Oh. Something interesting to think about. Before that, I guess he's 24-3 lifetime against the NFC. Wait, he's 0-2. Who did he play this year? Let's see. The Lions. The Lions. The Lions. They lost to the Lions. They did. Yes. Anyone else? I don't know what the other team is. Yeah. But it might have run out. Oh, Philly. No, they lost to Philly last year. Right. Did you guys play him last year? Yeah, we beat. Yeah, we won.
37:12Yeah. So that's it. I think it's I think it's Philly and the Lions. Yeah. 0-2 in his last two. But yeah, he was 24. He was 23-1 until the loss to the Eagles and the Lions. Down a little losing streak. A little bit of a losing streak. I do. I do agree. I think that the Ravens are they're a really fucking good team right now. Yeah. Well, I don't. Yeah. I don't know if they're. I would like to see them win this game convincingly. Then I'm ready to say they're a really fucking good team right now. because it's two they played lamar didn't play in the bears game and then the dolphins so i'm not ready to say all the way that they're a really fucking good team right now do you know is that fair i think that's fair but we also expected the ravens to get really good even when they sucked yeah i want to see them this is the game this is the game that if they win this game i can i can get back to saying they're really fucking good right now they're they're not really fucking good they're trying to get back to it we'll see we'll also find out a lot about jj this week yeah how How many yards did he have in his wins?
38:06173? 143. 143 yards. 143 yards, two touchdowns, one interception, one rushing touchdown in both of his wins that were 27-24. So that's the formula. That is the formula. Yeah, we've got it. Just get him to exactly that, and he should win. Although the formula is also playing against a division opponent, which is not this game. Anything else on this game? I like the purple. The Ravens are obviously the Vikings are wearing the majority of the purple. Yeah, but still, it's very purple. It's very purple. I like purple on purple. Also, Derrick Henry is a lot better when Lamar Jackson's in the game, which is a no-duh.
38:43Yeah. But his rushing yards per average, I actually, someone texted me this stat. I think Ibo texted me this stat. It was a pretty good one. Give Derrick Henry some love. Derrick Henry with Lamar on the field this year. Derrick Henry averaging six yards per attempt. When he's off the field, he's averaging just 3.7. That's a pretty drastic jump off. You got to worry about everything. This is one of those matchups that I don't recall these teams playing against each other. The Ravens and the Vikings. I would agree. You lose it a little bit because of the purple. But yeah, I can't. This matchup never happens.
39:17Yeah. So enjoy it. Also, J.J. McCarthy said that he has an alter ego. He flips a switch on game day. Calls it nine. Nine comes out, and I got to understand he can't be at his peak performance throughout three and a half hours. So how do I find little ways on the sideline to get back to my breath? get back to my visualization that can maintain that intense competitive stamina throughout the whole game it's the pure will determination to get the job done so watch out for nine dude that's awesome nine so he puts on when he puts on the eye black in the in the locker room nine that's nine doing that doesn't answer to jj no just strictly nine that's nine he did you see that clip of him in the locker room he is a psycho he's he's nuts and i do think that his teammates love Yeah.
39:59Like, you saw their reaction when he threw for a touchdown last week. Everybody is bought in on J.J. inside that locker. Now, it might be bought in like a cult, and it might not work, and they might end up drinking Kool-Aid instead of champagne at the end of the season. But you can tell that his teammates actually enjoy playing for him and they're rooting for him, and they like him as their quarterback, which goes a long way. Yeah. Okay, next game. Browns and Jets. Let's go, memes. Jets plus one and a half over under 37 and a half. How are we feeling? I actually think the Jets are going to win.
40:29I also think the Jets are going to win. Okay. Good. You're back. I'm back. We have A.D. Mitchell. There's now a receiver that Garrett Wilson actually respects in the wide receiver room opposite of him. Is Garrett Wilson back or no? He's back. Oh, he is. Okay. Yeah. And Justin Fields doesn't know if he's the starter or not. He'll be the starter. Okay. Because he said that. He's like, I don't know. Yeah. I think they're playing week to week with the starter, which I actually don't mind. Okay. Yeah, keep them guessing. So, Memes, are you expecting the Jets to win? Are you hoping that they'll win the game?
41:06Where are you at? I'm expecting them to win. It's going to be – God bless John Fanta for going to this game. Yeah. God bless everybody that is attending this game at MetLife Stadium. There was almost a trade this week, Memes, that didn't happen. Did you see – did you read about the move that the Jets did not make? No. They received some interest in Garrett Wilson. And do you know what team was hoping to get him and ultimately failed? I'm going to guess the Bills. The Cleveland Browns tried to get Garrett Wilson. I don't know why. They don't really have a receiver. I guess. Judy is kind of, but is he?
41:47But why? You just got to try to stack some good players. I think their GM was probably just bored. Yeah. And he's just kind of reaching out, being like, hey. I wonder if I could trick them. What about Garrett Wilson? Yeah, maybe they'll say yes. Also, I'm very happy that the other trade that didn't happen that was talked about was the Jets trading Brees Hall to the Chiefs. The Jets wanted a third rounder. The Chiefs only wanted to give him a fourth rounder. That would have sucked. Yeah. If the Chiefs got Brees Hall, that would have sucked. Oh, yeah. They would have won the whole thing. Yeah. Yeah.
42:19I want everybody to remember this. If the Chiefs don't win the Super Bowl this year, the Jets stop them. Mm-hmm. Yeah, that's the one team that can stop facts. The Kansas City Chiefs is the New York Jets. You did your job. It's true. Zach Wilson did outplay Patrick Mahomes on Sunday Night Football that one time. Yeah, he did. Yeah, he did. Also true. Also, Aaron Glenn just made a little correction on expectations for the Jets. Did you see this quote? Yeah. Sometimes you need to clarify yourself. Yeah, he said, I want this to be a team that the fans are proud of. But again, I never said they were going to be proud of them right now.
42:51Just to clarify. at some point I want them to be a team the fans are proud of. I stick to that. This will be a team the fans are proud of. Don't let go of the rope and just continue to watch us work. So just so we're clear, he never said right now they're going to be proud of them. Never said that. Yeah, sometimes you've got to clarify what you say in front of the microphone. I like it. I'm just admitting too, yeah, we get it. You guys do not. You're not proud of this. I said I would take out the trash. I didn't say I was going to do it this week. Yeah, right now? Next week. What are you, crazy?
43:26Right now? I think Aaron Glenn, I think the team likes him. He's got some big learning curve about how to deal with a microphone. Oh, yeah. Well, the Jets PR team is the worst in the league. How do you think they should have handled that? If you're the Jets PR team, what would you do? Tell him to stop saying shit. Stop giving expectations. Stop. No expectations. That's a good... Jets fans take every single word you say, and they're like, well, he said we were going to be proud. He said we were a couple pieces away. He said all we had to do was retool. Nope. Just to be clear, he didn't say proud right now.
44:08Yeah, just say we're going to suck. Yeah. Building for two years, and then we'll be good in 2028. I do think that a lot of coaches forget that the majority of the people that are listening to their words are fans of the team. that will take all the good stuff you say and be like, okay, yeah, yeah, let's go. I think a lot of times they're just so caught up in not giving any, like, splashy quotes or bulletin board, anything like that, that they end up forgetting that they can be doing a disservice to their own fans. Yeah. That's good advice, Memes. Yeah, it was essentially aura farming. Memes, question for you.
44:40Because this game is not going to be the best game, would you like to talk about wind turbines real quick? Sure. Okay, Max, is it okay if we talk about wind turbines? Because you are the accusations that you are maybe paid off by oil or someone else. I don't know where your angle is, but you shut down the wind turbine conversation very quickly. You guys can talk about whatever you want. People were mad that I wanted to get back on track, but that's on me. But just tell us who's paying you. I didn't even know that wind turbines was a political thing. me me hand up i didn't either the fact that that it turned in i i just thought that we were going off on a tangent and i wanted us to get back to football i just care about the ocean but uh gaz tweeted very funny he said also what the fuck was max delante's problem he spells your name not even close problem continuously trying to change the topic off of wind turbines when hank was about to take down the whole industry max delante live of the year i didn't know it was Put me up for nomination.
45:47I did find out that 10 % of our energy comes from wind turbines in America. That's pretty cool. That's good. Is that not something you would be interested in? That's cool, I guess. No, you're not ready for that. You don't like that. 46 million American homes can be powered by wind. Can be. Oh. Wait, you don't think. They do? Why does it say can be? Well, I mean, it's how much energy they take. Are they? No, they're saying that they provide enough energy for 46 million homes. It's not saying that there's 46 million individual homes, and those homes are the only ones that get all the wind energy.
46:32Interesting. I don't understand why it's can and not are. Because the energy goes other places, too. It should go to buildings. It should go to offices. you could go to scoreboard you go to tv shout out awl ethan he works in wind turbines he sent me some stuff he said that they're massive obviously which are really cool just incredible engineering what we've seen that we everyone's seen a winter all right but i don't think you understand how massive they are i have seen them you don't think those blades are how fast do you think the blades are moving i don't know 100 miles an hour 200 miles an hour cool how about that that's pretty Yeah, imagine being a bird just trying to fly west.
47:10Oh, that's funny, actually. But first, before you get to the actual facts, if you're a bird and you get killed by a windmill, that's on you. Question. Do you have anything against house cats? No. Oh, okay. Because we should probably just eradicate all house cats because house cats are responsible for an estimated 365 million bird deaths per year. wind turbines are estimated 140 ,000 bird deaths. One is man-made. I'm just saying. Cats are killing millions and millions of birds. That is literally the circle of life. A couple hundred thousand. That's the circle of life. A couple hundred thousand birds fly into a wind turbine like idiots.
47:54That's not the circle of life. Did you say 365 million? It's actually, the range is insane. I don't know how this is a range. cats are responsible for estimated 365 million to 2.4 billion bird deaths per year in the u.s alone and then the feral cats are the biggest threat by the way they're they're doing it all the time and then wind turbines are responsible for an estimated 140 000 to 680 000 bird deaths annually also awl ethan said he's been working at the wind turbine for a decade he's only seen about three bird deaths okay that's yeah that's very low how about that that's a million a million birds are killed each day by a cat and the turbines take a hundred gallons of oil and they can be to to keep it going moving to like grease the wheels and stuff and that could be in there for years three bird deaths can't be true that's what he said uh hank i think i've had more birds fly into my window in my apartment what kind of what kind of apartment do you have i live in like He works on a wind turbine with 400 of them, and he said, I have seen maybe three bird deaths near the towers.
48:59Hank, I have a question for you. Yes, PFT. Also, how do you feel about electricity? That's cool. Pro. Okay, well, it's interesting because also power lines kill 64 million birds a year. Damn. And they're everywhere. That's a lot. And only 140 ,000 on wind turbines? It's only 140 ,000? Yeah, that's in the low end. It's 316 million? Yeah. From cats? From cats. You're forgetting feral cats. They kill all of them. That seems erroneous. I googled it, and I read it off Google.
49:37Also, AWO, Ethan wanted to say real quick, fuck you, Clay. I don't know what that's about. Lighthouses can kill birds. Especially during migration, when birds are drawn to the light and collide with the stars. I don't see a stat. They can kill birds. Anything can kill birds. You can kill birds. Zach's the one that brought this to my attention, by the way. Do lighthouses kill birds? They can kill birds. What I'm hearing is that Carson Wentz is responsible for more bird deaths a year than windmills. Mm-hmm. It's difficult. This is an AI overview. I'm just going to read off this. It's difficult to give an exact number for lighthouse-specific deaths, but estimates suggest up to a billion birds a year die from collisions with artificial light, with lighthouses and communication towers being a significant factor.
50:24Okay. That's a lot of bird deaths. So are you anti-lighthouse? Nope. Are you anti-bird? Where do you land on wind turbines? I actually, I'll say this. Here's what I'll say. It's hard to do research about anything because I'm one, stupid. Two, I don't trust AI. And my conclusion on wind turbines are feral cats are a problem. That's the conclusion I came up with. I was either last summer the summer before was on a boat off of Block Island and the captain was telling me about how a wind turbine broke and the pieces of the wind turbine were just completely destroying the ecosystem of the ocean and basically it did for the whole summer.
51:07I'd like it on the record. And so that is my entire basis of being anti winter. Okay. So maybe on land ones. I really don't have a problem. I don't have any anecdote to go against the ones that are on land. Fine. Get them out of the ocean. I will right now say that I like my wind turbines not broken. Yeah. It's probably the guy that sent you those stats. Again, did you hear my conclusion to the wind turbine debate? Feral cats are a problem. Just as a word of warning, there's been like one guy in the history of the world that is as anti-windmill as Hank is, and that's Don Quixote. And he got AIDS and died.
51:49Who is that? The man of La Mantra. Political? Don Quixote. Is that the tequila guy? Yes. That's like tequila, right? Yeah. Why didn't he like winter? I don't know. He just didn't. It was like something going on. Probably all the tequila that he drank. It drove him crazy. I like his tequila. And then he went on this quest against windmills. And then I think it was probably hepatitis or something. He died, had a bad fever, and could not finish his quest against the windmills. It was very sad. But good tequila. But yeah, I don't... I mean, again, I'll stay in our business on getting wind turbines out of the ocean.
52:26I don't really care one way or the other about the ones on land. I think that's fair. You know what? I think you're just anti that one wind turbine. Yeah, it fucked up all... What about feral cats? You need feral cats. I mean, that's just society. That's the world. Doesn't care about the birds I think Hank might be like a little bit of a Internet gangster like keyboard warrior Because he and I went out yesterday Played a little golf There was a wind turbine right there He didn't say shit to it in person Oh shit You pussied out? It was right there We weren't that close It was in the distance They're so big They're so big that it looked like it was close Yeah you got a little scared Yeah we gotta say about that Gaz You got a little scared buddy I don't know It wasn't that close It wasn't within distance I would have tried to hit it with a golf ball.
53:15Yeah, I know. It was staring you down. I did see that one video where the guy got the soccer ball in the wind turbine. That was cool. That video is cool. Yeah, that was really cool. I like driving on the road when they transport the wind turbines, like the pieces of them. It's crazy how big they are. So we pretty much learned nothing. Yeah. The cat thing is a real issue. That's a big issue. It's a real issue. It's on my radar now. Illinois has more wind turbines than Indiana, I found out. Oh. So this all started from you trying to own someone, and then you got owned. No, but Indiana just has nothing.
53:47Oh, they're not even good enough to have wind turbines. No, they got the Hoosiers. That's good. Yeah, Indiana's got stuff. Indiana's got a lot of stuff. I feel like Illinois and Chicago are different. Well, I mean, like if you go south, yeah, it's like farmland. Yeah, it's just completely different. I've only seen this part of Illinois So have you No he drove Well he drove to That's not really But it's all All of your driving is in other states Whenever you travel anywhere From where we are What's really cool is driving out Like if you're in the farmland area Of like Illinois and Iowa at night time And you just see the blinking red lights From all the windmills that are off in the distance It's kind of cool And they're very cool And they're just very welcoming And no birds fly into them No, because they've got blinking lights on them.
54:38They're like, oh, that light's red. That means danger. Okay, next game. Good job, Jets and Browns. Next game, the Patriots and the Bucs. The game of the week. Oh, yeah. Barstool game of the week on DraftKings Sportsbook. How are we feeling, boys? The Bucs right now are sitting at two and a half point favorites. The over-under is 48 and a half. This will obviously be in the Hunger Dog. Okay. Zach, Hank. feeling good about the game by the way we should say real quick zach is a little nervous right now because spotify has updated their uh app and you can now see how many people listen to each episode this has been for a little while yeah but shout out the awls it's pretty insane we have like 500 000 plus people on listen to every show just on spotify that doesn't include apple youtube all the other apps so zach seeing the numbers and being like us explaining to him that it's like a million people listen to every episode has him a little rattled right now shout out to awls great group of guys and women and everybody who listens yeah so that that was just heard by a million people you guys rule we might have lost zach zach if you were if you were to talk to um what's the capacity of raymond james stadium do you know 75 000 okay so let's just think like uh if you took we'll say 25 raymond james stadiums filled to capacity and they're getting ready for kickoff and they want to hear some words of motivation or or zach's keys to the game all those people right now are are in front of you you have one mic and they're all looking at you right now What do you say to those people?
56:22Just play ball. That's good. That's good. I think you nailed that. Zach's not happy with the way that Hank talked about the boat or the ship. Oh, yeah, the pirate ship. Not unhappy. You didn't have to come for the pirate ship like that. It's a fun thing for the fans. I like the pirate ship. I don't think you do. I like that take. I just said the shape of the stadium was bizarre on game time. It's weird. Stand up business, Hank. Like, what do you do this winter? I'm going to fuck you. I'm go after that. I like the fucking boat. I'm pro ocean aquatics, everything involved. So I'm not going to I'm not going to sit here and besmirch a boat and then prop up a lighthouse.
57:01That would be make no sense. OK. I don't know what to make of this game because Drake May has been incredible against the Blitz so far this season. He is number one in its success rate, 64 percent against the Blitz. and Todd Bowles loves to blitz. He does. So what's going to happen? I don't know. Bucks off a bye. This is a big game, Hank. Are you for real game for the Patriots? Yeah, because obviously the Bills game was a huge one, but then you guys have not played the best. You've taken care of business. That was the passing of the torch game. This is not a must win. It is a must compete. It is like if we lose, I'm not going to be.
57:44If we lose and it's a close game, I think that might be a good thing long term. like this is could be a start of the championship dvd game yeah no i'm just saying like i'm not going to be like doom and gloom if we lose this game depending how it is if we lose by call it 10 plus and yeah that's that's a that's going to have to be a big reset expectations like what's going on i don't think we're going to win out like i think that would be unrealistic to say we're going to lose at some point it might be this week i still think we're going to win but i it's a must compete it would be a little doom and gloom though if you lost the bills won and then And now you're looking at the division standings.
58:18You're looking at the playoff picture. No, because we have a better schedule. Okay. So not doom and gloom. No. The Bills have a little bit of gloom. I think the Bills have the easiest schedule remaining. Maybe a little bit of gloom? I thought we had the easiest schedule before and after. I'm pretty sure. Look up the easiest schedule remaining. The Bills have a very easy schedule remaining as well. The Chiefs was the reason why the Bills' schedule remaining was not the easiest. but I think now that they've gotten past the Chiefs, I think it's pretty damn easy. Keep scrolling, keep scrolling, keep scrolling.
58:54Oh, no, I was wrong. All right, so it's still the Patriots. The Bills do have an easy schedule. They have the, what is it? Scroll down. We have 32nd. They have 28. Okay. So, yeah, it's going to be. Oh, yeah. They still have to play the Eagles. Bill still. I miss Bucky Irving. I miss the days when Bucky Irving was playing on Sundays. I think he is. He's back? I was looking on DraftKings as we were doing this game, and he's listed as a touchdown scorer. Because that could be huge for the Bucs. Mm-hmm. Zach. Yes, sir. Will you be sitting in the cave with us? I can sit and watch wherever you'd like me to sit and watch.
59:33Okay. Yep. Maybe Hank in the middle of you and Che? Are you ready for Che? Oh, you love Che. Che does nothing for me. He couldn't get me mad if he tried, and he's not scary whatsoever. I think that's a good group of guys to watch a game with. Zach is the same. I mean, I don't even. Steven can be annoying. Jack is just a delight. Zach. Zach, yeah. He is a delight. That was fucked up. Yeah, that was pretty messed up. That was fucked up. What? You just called him Jack. They sound so similar. I mean. You called him Jack by accident. Sorry. Okay. Sorry. Only a million people heard him call you Jack.
1:00:14Yeah, I don't care. If that bothered me, I would have not been on the show 10 years ago. No, but it's insane. It's got it in his head. No, it's going to be a good game. I'm looking forward to it. See? These are the takes we get now. So give us your spiciest take about this game. Hottest take. I guess hottest take about this game would be this could be. It's a game. We're going into this game. Everyone's taking the Bucs. Maybe not. I'm going to say should win, but like probably may win. May win. Definitely a may win. It's a may win. Drake Mays wins. Might be a little inflated due to their easy schedule this year.
1:00:51Good boy. You play Zach. Whoa. So we'll see. Get his ass. Yeah. That's a great point by Zach. That was a spicy take. I'm going to be pissed at you for that. All the years of the show, we've never thought to call it a May win. Yeah. Okay. Saints at Panthers. Panthers minus five and a half. Over under is 39 and a half. Hank, have you seen any other Hungry Dogs we've hit on or no? No. I'll let you know. Okay. I'm interested because this might be the week that I opt in. The Panthers. Panthers are favorites. Yep. The first time all season. Yep. That's crazy that they have the record that they have right now.
1:01:26and they have yet to be favored in a single game. Since 2020, the Carolina Panthers are 3-13 against the spread as favorites. The three quarterbacks they beat as favorites were Davis Mills, Zach Wilson, and Dwayne Haskins. So not a lot of times they're favorites. Tyler Schuch, he fits in nicely with that group, though, doesn't he? I don't know. They had the ball like two times in the second half last week. I kind of feel bad for Shuck because they traded Rashid Shahid and then Chris Alavi. He also tweeted out the unhappy face after it all happened. Yeah. But if you've got a rookie quarterback that just now got the job and then you trade away the deep threat option that he seemed to like, that's a tough day at work.
1:02:13This is going to be a tough week of work for Tyler Shuck. Yeah. The Saints had the ball for 16 minutes last Sunday. That's insane. They just didn't have the ball. I feel like we're going to maybe get a lot of Taysom Hill in this game. We should. Do you think about that? We should. Do you think about that? Like outside of Taysom Hill. He's going to work them along. Taysom Hill, Alave, Kamara. I don't really know who else the Saints have on offense. Juwan Johnson. Do they have him? Is that their tight end? I think they've got the guy from Denver. Vele? Is that right? I like the Saints tight end because he's one of those guys who.
1:02:52Yeah, Juwan Johnson. He's one of those guys who will score three touchdowns in one game a year, and everyone will look at his stats on fantasy and be like, should I pick him up? He scored a lot of points. Then you realize he did it all in one game. Yeah. What are his stats this year? What are Jawan Johnson's stats this year? Look him up for me, Max. He does feel like that type of guy where he'll just go off. And this might also be like last year he did this or two years ago he did this. He has two touchdowns this year. He's not a... I like him, though, because he sometimes scores touchdowns, and I get pumped.
1:03:26I'm like, ooh, should I pick him up? 400 yards receiving. Oh, Brandon Cooks. He's on the Saints. Yeah, Brandon Cooks. That's cool. And, yeah, Devon Valle. I guess Valle's their number... He's a starting receiver this weekend. Good for him. Good luck. Point of clarification, Jawan Johnson, I don't think has ever scored three touchdowns in a game. He did in 2022, had two games where he scored two touchdowns. That was huge. Yeah, so I just made this up in my head, but that's okay. Sometimes you got to just make shit up in your head. It's okay. He's got one of those names. Two touchdowns is basically three touchdowns for a guy like him.
1:04:01That's true. With Shuck, you get rid of your deep threat option, then you also trade away an offensive lineman. That feels like they're not really setting him up to win. Yeah. This is a big – I mean, the Panthers at 6-4. This could be the Panthers at 6-4. Or do we trust to bet on them? I think that I do. Meow Mix came back, but then... No, they didn't. Well, they said that they were going to come back, and then on our show and many other shows, they said, you can't do this. You can't come back, Meow Mix. We're riding hot right now. And then a bunch of former Panthers weighed in. Like, Jonathan Stewart was like, you can't do the podcast now, guys.
1:04:38You got to sit this one out for the good of the team. So they issued a statement saying, we're listening to you guys. We can't come back right now. Thank you for your support. Yeah. So they're men of the people at Meow Mix. Yes, big time. Okay, next up, Jaguars, Texans. Davis Mills time. We have Davis Mills going up against Trevor Lawrence. Texans are plus one and a half overrunners, 37 and a half. Did you guys see James Gladstone, the whiz kid GM of the Jaguars, take, I would say, maybe a subtle shot at Brian Thomas when talking about Jacoby Myers? He said Jacoby Myers' superpower is not dropping the football.
1:05:17Hmm. That's it says a lot that that could be interpreted as a shot at your number one wide receiver. Well, he said the full quote is you think about where we're at in terms of volume of drops. What is what? What's his superpower? It's not dropping the football, right? So you just take it from the surface level. It seems fitting. So, yeah, he basically saying Brian Thomas just drops it so much. We need someone who wouldn't drop it. Also, Jacoby Myers has the weird wrinkle of playing for the team he just played against. And he said it is weird because it's very weird because I was just talking crazy to some people.
1:05:54I like that. He had to come in and be like, you guys know how it gets out there. Yeah, my bad, guys. Nothing personal. It's like that bell curve thing where it's like the idiots at one end when they analyze wide receivers. and they're like, he doesn't drop the pass. And then everybody in the middle is like, this guy has explosive separation at the middle of his nine routes. It's part of the middle of the six routes. He's incredible between the hash marks. And then at the very end, it's this wide receiver is good because he doesn't drop the football. Yeah. That's how you analyze it when you're an expert or an idiot, which is great.
1:06:27I think I like the Jaguars. I cannot trust the Texans. I can't trust the Jaguars either. And to me, it doesn't really matter that much if it's C.J. Stroud or Davis Mills. I think that their problems run a lot deeper than just who's throwing the ball. Yeah. But on defense, they're really good. Yeah. I think the Jaguars are going to have a long day on offense, but I do think that this is a – my strategy with the Texans is basically when they play a team that can get a pass rush, you bet against the Texans. The Jaguars can. And when they play a team that can't, you bet on the Texans. So I'm going to take the Jaguars in this game, and I'm going to hope and pray that they can do enough offensively to win this game.
1:07:07Yeah. Because this could be an ugly one. Last time Davis Mills faced Trevor Lawrence, the Jaguars won 31 to 3. Not that that matters at all. Right? No. No. I'm not going to. Whatever. Okay. Afternoon games. Is the Texans one of your hungry dogs? No. It's not getting involved in this game. This might be one of your hungry dogs. This is the Cardinals plus six and a half at the Seahawks. And the over-under right now is sitting at 45 and a half. The Kyler Murray era is officially over. It was really strange this week because after the game was over, Gannon seemed to indicate that he was not going to bench Kyler Murray for reasons outside of injury.
1:07:55And then they asked him to clarify it again later. Has anything changed? And he said pretty much, yeah, it kind of has changed. He doesn't want to say that Kyler Murray's benched, but he kind of was forced to say it a little bit this week. And I think anybody that watched knows because in all the games that Kyler Murray had with Jonathan Gannon as his head coach, he has not really come close to touching what Jacoby Brissett has done in his very limited time running that offense. And so for anyone that's watching, we all know that Jacoby Brissett is not a quarterback of the future, but we know it looks a lot better when he's in there.
1:08:32Yes. And the Seahawks are really fucking good. They're really good. They're Super Bowl contenders. Yeah. What was your favorite Kyler Murray memory? The Hail Mary. Hail Murray. Yeah, the Hail Murray. I was going to say, I think the one time he played in the playoffs and I bet on him, they got absolutely killed. And then I think he blocked me on Twitter after that. I'm just thinking back to the times. He used to just scoot around out there. Yeah. Right? Just like a little rug rat. And you're right. I mean, Jacoby Brissett has just looked better. He looks like he runs the offense better. I have a fun stat for you, Big Cat.
1:09:06Yeah. Did you know that Jacoby Brissett has the all-time lowest career interception percentage? No. 1.33%. Damn. Now, is that a situation where he should be throwing more interceptions? Maybe. Maybe. But I think he's also the best quarterback at quarterback sneaks in the non-Jalen Hurts category in the history of the NFL. Okay. So, I just like the Cardinals in this game. And it's purely because I think the Cardinals are a little underrated the way they've lost a lot of their games. Jacoby Rissett's been playing better than Kyler Murray. And the Seahawks, this is kind of the peak of, like, they just went on a primetime game and played perfect football against the Commanders.
1:09:49It was perfect football. So, everyone's got that in their brain. Mike McDonald also is awesome on the road, not as awesome at home. I think the Seahawks are a really good team. I'm buying their stock overall. I'm just taking the 6.5. Did you know that the Seahawks, they have the best against the spread record in the NFL? And they average 8.6 above the spread. They're beating Vegas. They're crushing Vegas. It probably helped a lot. That game did help a lot on Sunday. They win by 28. That game helped, but they are almost two scores above Vegas. Damn. Good for the Seahawks. Yeah. At least Kyler Murray gets Call of Duty time.
1:10:31Yeah, it's a nice time for him, right? Do you think there's a chance he could maybe go play baseball? How cool would that be? Yeah. How much money is he? He's got some baseball in him. I can see some like... Remember when that was a real debate? Anthony Rendon tendencies. He made the right choice. I'll say that. Even if he never is a good starting quarterback in the NFL and never gets another bona fide shot, he made the correct choice because he's made$170 million. Great choice. You have to be a really good baseball player to make that. Great decision. But again, I don't think I'm done with Kyler Murray.
1:11:05The next stop. Get him in a good spot. I think he could have a little second career. I am. Jets. I am very done. I'm happy that I'm done with Kyler Murray in Arizona because I was so sick of that. It's just not a good vibe. It's just never – it hasn't been a good vibe for a long time. Yeah. And it's good for it to be – would you take him on the Jets? For free. For free? Nothing in life is free. I think he's got one of the worst contracts in the league. He's got three years remaining. They cut him after the second year. So he's got two more years of getting like$50 million. He should get fat out of protest.
1:11:45He would look hilarious if he got fat. So next year he's making$53 million. The year after he's making$43 million potential out in 2020. What about baseball? Would you take him on the Mets? What position? Whatever you want. Sure. Like, what if he quit right now and was like, I'm going to go to spring training? Yeah, it'd be awesome. It'd be a cool story. He's young enough. He's young enough that he definitely could still do it. Imagine if he just became a good baseball player. He's older than I thought. He just turned 28. Yeah. No, there's late bloomers. Yeah. he could do it okay another we got two more afternoon games rams at niners this is gonna be a good game oh here we go niners plus four and a half over under 49 and a half i know you're gonna say yeah so the last 14 times these teams have played the underdog has covered 13 of them yeah and cal shanahan he owns mcveigh except for that except for the one nfc championship yeah but outside of that, he's been dominant.
1:12:45I think Purdy's getting re-evaluated. I don't know if Purdy's going to play again this year. I don't know how bad that foot is. It's so weird. I don't get it. I don't get it. We also get the thicker kicker there for the Rams. They signed the Harrison Mevis guy from Missouri. Love that. Six feet tall, 242 pounds. That's awesome. It's going to be so sick. We need more of those. That's awesome. Puka baby bump? I think he got the baby bump last week. It already happened. Yeah. What? What's that face? Baby drama bump. Oh, is there a baby drama bump? He broke up with her? Isn't there a baby drama? Did he break up with her?
1:13:22I don't know. I think that was a TikTok rumor, and then they did have a kid together. Oh, okay. Congratulations to Puka. Congratulations to Puka. Jerry's in my head. Yeah, Jerry has been just spreading that for some reason. I don't know why. He told me today that Italians were done in this country. Over? Italians, done. done no because a lot of them are attracted to latinas that's jerry and so then they have kids with latinas and then there's no more italians so jerry just looked at his own kids and was like man italians are done yeah italians are done too much crossbreeding for italians i guess i don't know this is i'm just reporting what i heard from jerry that italians i mean he has a sample size of two in his house that is true and those 100 percent of his of his children yeah or not or not 100 % Italian.
1:14:10At that rate, we're not going to have Italians in like three years. Max, do you agree? Italians, based on Jerry's research, they are done. Not Jerry O 'Connell. Jersey Jerry. Yeah. Who? Jerry. Jersey Jerry. Jersey Jerry has two. He's Italian. Yeah, I know. But he says Italians are done. His girlfriend is Colombian, and he has two children with her, and that is now made non-italian babies they're still italian yeah no but but all of them according to jerry are they're more attracted to latino women yeah and so then they have kids and then eventually there's no more italians do i have permission to leave for one second yeah of course i don't know what's going on there's jerry jerry's wrong well no he's right in his house he is he is attracted to latina women correct yeah but he's italian but he's he doesn't get to speak on all italian anecdotally speaking he's right wrong you know he's 100 right for his what he knows as an italian he's attracted to latinas and then he procreated with a latina he is right for himself my fiance also not italian oh no here we go here we go max my wife's italian i'm not there we go There it is.
1:15:30So it keeps happening. No, that's what I'm saying. It keeps happening. I'm 1 % Italian, and I got to say - My brother's married to an Italian. I'm probably at least 2 % attracted to Latinas. So yeah, the math checks out. So your brother's got to have like 1 ,000 kids. Big Dom. Big Dom. Big Dom. Shout out Baby Dom. Shout out Baby Dom. Okay. I like the Niners in this game I do too We finally got a hungry dog And then Hank left Yeah no I do too I like the Niners a lot Not I wouldn't care who the favorite was I think I would just I would take the Niners Yeah it's a game where you just take the underdog That's exactly right Yeah this was This was Hank's big moment With his hungry dog Yeah Well yeah he did ask for permission Yeah he did What has he got He's got a pee I think maybe Oil lobby's hitting him up He's so scared of the windmills Yeah Okay PFT your game commanders are currently seven and a half point underdogs over under is 49 and a half how you feeling i terrible because the lions they lost last week and their backs are against the wall we're a bad team that lost last week so that doesn't really affect us as much in my opinion not only did we lose we obviously lost jayden uh marshawn latimore towards acl which is saying Like, he stunk.
1:16:57Yeah, but you could have maybe traded him? He stunk, but he was probably our best cornerback. Yeah, that's not good. It's not good. That's not a good place to be in. I mean, Amos, I think he's good for a rookie. I like Mikey, but I don't know how we're going to defend against the Detroit Lions. I really don't. I think that Dan Campbell is going to have his team just like salivating, ready to destroy us. I think we're going to get destroyed. I don't Big Cat, listen I've seen this movie So many times before I don't know I'm not going to bet on this game But the Lions, what are they, 9.5? 7.5 I think this is going to be one of those weird weeks That's all I'll say Watch out Feels like these are the weeks where We're going to have one Maybe it's stupid to try to time it But there is definitely a week in the next couple of weeks coming up where everyone's going to lose everything.
1:17:58Here's what I will say. I think that there's probably, if you want to bet on the props, I could talk about some of the props in this game because I think that Vegas doesn't think that Marcus Mariota is capable of throwing a forward pass. And he is. He is. And he can throw some touchdowns. So you can find some value for the commanders in terms of touchdown scores. But I would not ever dream about betting on the commanders in this spot. I want to go out on the street and warn people. Are you or a loved one considering betting on the Washington Commanders this weekend? Because we suck dick. And we got, obviously, Luke is out.
1:18:34Terry is still out. So we got Debo. We got Marcus. We got Bill. And we don't really play defense at all. But we did make a big move today. Joe Witt, our defensive coordinator, is moving down to the sideline. Oh, huge. So, yeah, instead of getting fired, he just is going to take it. Maybe it was just an optical illusion. From where he was sitting, the defense wasn't bad. Now that he's going to be on the sidelines, it might look better up close. It'd be nice if he were to change up the defense a little bit, but I don't think he wants to do that. The other story this week was Dan Quinn taking full responsibility for leaving Jaden in the game, which I agree, yes, Dan, that was your responsibility.
1:19:17It was good to hear him say that he was responsible for it. and I think that the team's still going to play hard for Dan Quinn because they like him but that was the stupidest fucking mistake that you can make if you have a player like Jaden Daniels and he made it yeah really dumb but to his credit he was like yeah that was a stupid fucking mistake that I made and you can judge me on it so at least he owned up to it I don't know what do you think I don't know I think we are underrating Marcus Mariota I agree with you on that I think the Lions might have some issues that are like they're a good team, but they might have a few issues.
1:19:55I don't know. The thing that scares me the most, and I probably will, like this is my lean as the commanders. I probably won't actually bet on this game. And actually when I say that right now, I definitely will bet on this game because it's one of three afternoon games. So I take all that back. I will definitely bet on this game. The thing that makes me nervous is Dan Campbell off a loss. Yeah, I agree. I agree. I have a staff. Are you ready for this? teams after losing as a favorite of seven points or more are 81 57 and three against the spread 58.7 percent including 22 and 13 against spread over the last three seasons that's a high strike rate that's and that would be the lions fall under that category and i think there's one other i'm forgetting who lost his double who lost his over seven point favorite outright last week so they They're probably...
1:20:45No? No, Colts are three-point favorites. But they'd have to be a good team. They'd have to be a good team. Oh, yeah, yeah. The Packers. That's just staring right at me. Listen. It's Packer Dan. No, we're just... Bears fans everywhere just say, no, we got Packer Dan this week. I'm saying stats. We got Packer Dan this week. I already bet the Eagles, so you can't say that. I know, but you're saying that. I'm saying stats. In your head. I'm saying stats. In your head, you're rooting for the Packers. No, I'm not. Yes, you are. No, if the Packers lose and the Bears win, the Bears will be in first place.
1:21:16Apparently, it doesn't matter when you're fighting for seeding. Well, no, if we were playing the Packers next week, it would be different. Oh, yeah? Yeah. This is insane. It's okay to be wrong. I was just saying a stat. It's okay that you guys are wrong. Max's problem is that he just can't admit being wrong, and that's all right. This is a stat. This has no feelings. Stats are just no feelings. There's no feelings in a stat. You're getting mad at numbers, bro. You're getting mad at numbers. Three.
1:21:46No, Jared Goff and Dan Campbell are 21-8 against the spread off a straight-up loss. Yeah, they're going to kick our ass. It's going to be an ass-kicking. Yeah, you're probably right. Nothing good is going to happen. I think that the one way that we could be competitive in this game is if we somehow figure out a way to generate pressure up the middle. And so when Jared's doing his play action, have a guy right in Jared's face when he turns around. But if there's not a guy already in his face as he turns around from the play action, he's going to throw for 450 yards against us. Maybe the field's wet?
1:22:21Yeah, we could lube it up real nice. Is it going to rain at all? Anything outside of that, I don't know. Yeah, it's not going to be fun. This is one of those weekends, and fan bases deal with this on a week-to-week pace. There are some weeks that you know that you're about to get your teeth kicked in, and on Sunday morning you got to wake up you got to you got to put on your jersey you got to put on your uh your matching like pants and your hat and announce to the world that I am a commanders fan on the way to my own funeral and you just got to sit there and get your teeth kicked in and be like well we suck yeah and then that's ready for it that's for a lot of people watching the NFL that's that's every week for them yeah and that's just I it's my turn well It's my watch.
1:23:05Got to punch the clock. If we're going to spin it one good way, the Lions, if they do demolish the commanders like you expect it to happen, that's good for whoever plays the Lions next week. Oh, who are they playing next week? Who are the Lions playing next week? Because then the Lions would be off a really big win. Yeah. Shut up. Oh, yeah, they're playing the Eagles. Oh, are they? Yes. Wow. Max, you got to root for the commanders this weekend, buddy. this is one of the dumbest debates we've ever had and I just get so much joy out of it it was like a throwaway comment I made I was just like man you probably wish that they had won that game we're on episode 3 of this I love it so much the fact that the Lions are playing the Eagles next week I've also been asking everybody that I see in my life what they think about this hypothetical scenario but you never bring up the fact that it put the Eagles atop of the NFC yes dude when are you going to figure out that we manipulate the argument to win it?
1:24:05How long is it going to take for you to figure that out? I don't care. I know what you do. I can't help myself. You know I can't help myself. And it's going to be I always leave out the conference standards. I've never brought up the conference standards. This is the one Monday night game that we're streaming all year just so that we can talk about this for an entire game. I'm going to drop a bomb on the Eagles because I want the birds to just fly, and I don't want to be right. I don't want to be right. I'll tell you one better, Max. You should kind of be rooting for the Eagles to lose this weekend so you can beat the Lions.
1:24:43Because if you look at the best rosters, I think that the Lions – He's right. Listen, hear me out, Max. The Lions are probably going to be, in my opinion right now – it's still early – the Lions, I think, are more of a threat to go to the Super Bowl than the Packers are. I know they played week one But that was actually What happened after the Lions lost to the Packers Week one, Max? I don't care They got good again They got good again It's true Just something to think about Just something to think about The Packers win against the Eagles They'll be 6-2-1 if the Lions beat The Commanders will be 6-3 Then you gotta beat the Eagles The Eagles got to beat the Lions.
1:25:26Otherwise, they would. Yeah. You should be thinking about losing the Packers. Just to get yourself ready for the Lions. Yeah. On a short week. It was the hardest schedule ever. When I was looking at it, I saw the Lions were playing the Eagles next week. I was like, well, I got to throw this in my notes. Max, do you hope that the Commanders beat the Lions? What would your thought be going to play against the Lions next week if the Commanders somehow beat them? I would like the Commanders to beat the Lions. Look at you. Look at you, Commie Max. I would like the Commanders to beat the Lions. Rooting for the Commies.
1:26:02All of the teams in the top of the NFC to lose. It would be sick if we beat the Lions and went on a winning streak in the season, and then we overtook the Eagles. Are you going to start rooting against the Bears? All because Max. If they beat the Giants? Bears aren't on the radar yet. Oh, shit. Bears aren't on the radar yet. If they beat the Giants, it'd be 6-3. The Bears aren't even in the playoffs right now. I understand that. I don't think they're a good team yet. But I'm just saying, if they're 6-3. I had a fancy question for you guys. Jerry O 'Connell, he's been calling me. He was upset that he did not know that Jaden Daniels injured his elbow when he started pounding his chest and being like, look what a great job I am as a fantasy owner.
1:26:46I started Brock Bowers. You remember that Jerry in the preseason, he said that Jaden was going to break every quarterback record of all time. Jerry asked for permission to release Jaden Daniels from our team today. First of all, Jerry, he never asks us for permission for any moves. That was nice. That was respectful. I would like to see Jerry keep Jaden Daniels on the team, on the bench. Yeah. That way Jaden can get a ring if we win that league. Does he have an IR spot? He's got IR spots, yeah. So then do it. So then, Jerry, I want Jaden on that team so that he can be a champion at the end of the season.
1:27:23Yeah, that's fair. Yeah. IR spot. Put him on there. This is an order coming from the top. Okay, last game. Steelers, Chargers. Chargers are three-point favorites. Over-unders, 45 and a half. I think I saw a stat. Since 2008, these teams have just flipped, flopped wins and losses when they play. That sounds right. Yeah. And I think the Steelers won the last one. Yeah. And there's also going to be a lot of Steelers fans there. I would say so. And also, this is the first time Justin Herbert and Aaron Rodgers are playing against each other. And also, Joe Alt is out. And Joe Alt is out. And that Pittsburgh defense looked pretty good last week.
1:28:00The pass rush was there. Jalen Ramsey at safety. So the big thing, though, is Pittsburgh, the Steelers, Mike Tomlin does like to play in his own. And Justin Herbert shreds zones. But maybe Mike Tomlin's changing. I don't know. I don't think. Probably not. If I had to bet on whether or not Mike Tomlin was evolving and changing. Changing at all? Yeah, it doesn't matter what it is. If it's like the kind of toothpaste that he uses, how he likes his steak cooked, what kind of defense he runs. Nah. No. Hungry Dog? No, the last leg of the Hungry Dog is the Eagles. Oh, huge. Huge. Eagles, 49ers, Patriots.
1:28:42So a two-day Hungry Dog. Yep. Wow. Yeah. I like that. I got to ride with the dog. Let's go. Hungry Dog Weekend? Hungry Dog Weekend. So, wait, you said Steelers, Niners. No. No? Niners. Eagles. Eagles, Patriots. Oh, Niners, Eagles, Patriots. Yeah. I like that. Do it. I'm doing it. I'll opt in. Let's go. Do you think that the Eagles are going to be more motivated because they're underdogs? Yeah. Yeah. I think so, too. Absolutely. Absolutely. motivation is a funny thing. No game has ever been broken down more from a motivational standpoint than this one. Do you think the Lions are rooting for the Eagles to win?
1:29:27Wait. No. Yeah, they are. No, the Lions are not rooting for the Eagles to win because they're in a division race with the Packers. So standings obviously matter a lot.
1:29:42No, that argument didn't even work. No, he's right. You've got to focus on the standings. At the end of the season, where the Lions finish, when they compare record to record against the Packers, the Packers are too good right now. They want the Packers to lose no matter what. Yeah, no matter what. It doesn't matter who they're playing the next week. Yeah, but the Eagles play the Lions the next week. Right, right. But they need the Packers to lose. Yeah. Because they're worried about the division. I don't think you understand the division. Also, Max, what's so hard about this? So they want the Eagles to beat...
1:30:21No, it's my bad. I'm not thinking about it. They want the Eagles to beat the Packers because they're in a division race with them. And also they play the Eagles next week. So they're going to be super happy that the Eagles won because the Eagles won't be motivated to play against the Lions. Correct. Double win. This is actually the easiest one of all. But if the Packers win, then the Eagles won't be as motivated against the Lions. No, if the Packers win, the Eagles would be super motivated. I'm getting the cross stuff here. We submitted them. We submitted them. This game, your game is actually more important to the Lions than it is to either the Packers or the Eagles.
1:30:55The Lions will be tuning into your game more than they tune into their own game. Right. They got a doubleheader this week. Got it. Got it. Got it. My brain needs to be better. Okay, let's do our TD parlay. Then we got Jerry's Fantasy Minute. and then we'll do our picks and we'll get to Chris Long. 1:33:07Yeah. He did not score last week. Okay. Ladd, Kittle, and then Max, build this real quick. Who else? Okay. Ladd, Kittle, and then I'm looking at. Me and Memes both said the same guy. What did you guys say? Well, I'll let PFT say it first. No. Well, now we have to say it. You have to say it first. I'm not going to say anybody in the Lions-Commanders game, although you could find a lot of people that you could choose to score there. But I'm looking at the Cardinal Seahawks, and I'm thinking either JSN or I'm thinking Trey McBride. Yeah. What were you guys going to say? We were going to say Kyron.
1:33:44Oh. I think he's like even money, which is, I feel, good value for. I like McBride. McBride? Yeah. We go a couple tight ends. McBride. That would be some juicy odds. Lad. Yep. Kittle. Yep What do we got? Is that right? What is it? 15 to 1 Yeah That's pretty good Yeah Fuck yeah Okay Let's listen to Jerry's Fantasy Minute And then we'll do our picks

Also, we didn't do any blind resumes. Yeah, we haven't done blind resumes in over a day. I think we may have done a blind resume on Sunday. The Eagles didn't play last week, so you didn't do a Jalen Hurts blind resume. That's the only reason. I think you did one two days ago.
1:36:08Yeah, I said only. We haven't done one in a day. We haven't done one in at least one day. That's pretty good. It's been two days. Yeah. Listen, we can't just go cold turkey on blind resumes. No. Okay, let's go picks. What are the standings? There's a three-way tie for last now, I think. Yeah, Big Cat's in first. You got a good record. 12-6. I went 2-0 last week because I doubled up on the Bears game. Big Cat hasn't lost in three weeks. Oh. Beast. That's guaranteed loss now. Big Cat is 12-6. I am 10-8. Zach is 9-9. And then Memes, Hank, and PFT are all 8-10. I have one in three weeks. Oh. So bet Memes and fade me.

That was her name when at pause. At pause. At pause, yeah. And the farmer's dog, they make great food. Blake absolutely loves it. He wakes me up in the morning. He can't wait to have breakfast. I've noticed that earlier and earlier in the evening, he's like coming to me like, hey, it's dinner time.
1:41:49It's dinner time. He wants that farmer's dog dog food. It was developed by board certified nutritionists. The farmer's dog is human grade dog food. It's made with real meat, real veggies. It's gently cooked to preserve nutrients. The turkey, the turkey looks, every time I look at it, I'm like, I could eat this meal. I could. It looks like human food. It's not highly processed like traditional pet food. And it's super easy to portion it correctly. Just one bag. Some dogs get half a bag. Very, very easy to do. And your dog will love it. You can take the guesswork out of those serving sizes. And you can keep your dog healthy and thriving.
1:42:24And the best part is it delivers right to your door, automatically sending you new food as soon as you're running low on your current food. You don't have to go to the store. It just shows up, and it shows up on time. And they have 24-7 customer support with real people because sometimes you have a burning question about your dog's food at 2 a.m. I actually just recently made the switch over. We're doing just turkey for Blake now, and I wanted to update the food delivery. It took me, I think, 10 seconds online to change the recipes that Blake was getting. It was super easy. Okay, we now welcome on a very, very, very, very special guest, our good friend, Chris Long, from the Greenlight Pod. You can see him every single week. Does an incredible job. Breaks down all the games. Talking ball. Talking just friendship. Great time. His Virginia Cavaliers are right now, if the playoffs started, would be in the playoffs. He also, which I haven't even, we haven't even said this to you, but you, just so you know, a heads up.
1:43:38The book that we're writing for PMT, you are going to have to write a chapter as our first guest ever. It's great to see you. Do you want to start with Virginia? You want to, is Virginia for real? Are you guys going to the playoffs? I think we are, dude. That's what$20 million will do for a team. I guess if we pay the players, we can win too. So, yeah, I'm all in. Although I've been on Stanford Steve's ass to try to get game day. Not that I make a difference, but I tried to FaceTime last night because my son was like, why don't we get game day? I said, why don't you ask Uncle Steve? I love that.
1:44:15That's a great move. Yeah, we can start that movement. I'll sign up for that. Do you guys have a big game coming up? We got Wake Forest this weekend. We have Virginia Tech, though. You know, we barely ever beat them. But I think this year we're going to beat them. I have a good feeling. It's really the autumn of Chris Long. All your former NFL teams are doing well, too. Yeah. If you had to do one, got to go. I guess they are, dude. Yeah, I guess they are. If you had to pick one that you would eliminate, one got to go. all of Chris Long's former teams, the Eagles, the Patriots, the Rams. Which one are you putting off to the side?
1:44:57Is this like a fuck, marry, kill situation? Kind of, but you're fucking two of them, and you just have to kill one. Okay. And I'm killing this year's team based on the aspirations of this year's team. I hate to say it because I just have so much respect for the Rams and the Eagles just won a Super Bowl. It's going to be – like I love the Pats. I think they're great. I think even most Pats fans would tell you, you know, love to see a little bit of a bigger sample size, but they have been Drake Mays fantastic. I think Josh is doing a great job too. And since Gonzalez got back, that defense is tough as well.
1:45:33That's a tough deal you just hit me with. Yeah. So I just looked it up, by the way. This is actually insane. Your four teams are 27 and seven. That's some really fun football. 27 and seven. Your four teams combined. yeah and like the teams and you know like the teams that i you know every year there's like teams you hit your wagon to as a like an analyst or podcaster like the bucks are one this year for me they've been winning a bunch of close games i i made them i put them real far in that you know when you pick the super bowl or like whatever before the season you're just throwing darts but i put the bucks in the super bowl and uh i'd love to look smart you know if it's not gonna be my birds then why not the bucks yeah so they're playing really well too i do have an important question for you because we talked about uh big dom and the eagles and the story of him going to the hospital and and welcoming cam scadaboo giving him some pizza some cannolis being like don't say nothing keep your mouth shut cam i love you uh and we got into a debate on this show because hank was saying that he might have done that performatively i don't know if you had any experience with big dom paying a visit to the hospital if an opponent got injured and went there while you were in philly or if a player from the team but but hank seemed to think that it was it wasn't like a common thing that he did he only did it to get his name in the headlines which i disagreed with well wouldn't he be visiting like everybody in the hospital wouldn't it be like one of these fucking like um like make a wish things if uh if you know like dom would be at the hospital every week if he wanted attention.
1:47:08It's just something about Scadaboo that he likes. And who knows? It could be like a horse's head situation. Right. Right? Like, you know, maybe it wasn't just delivering calzones. Maybe he got back to his room and there was a horse's head in the bed. He was like, hey, listen, Kim, if anyone comes and asks, you fell down the stairs. You didn't get hurt on the job. You know. You look like you're comfortable, but I imagine that this wouldn't be a place that you'd like to ever go back to. Yeah. It'd be a real shame if you had to come back. No, you'd hate to come back here. It'd be a real shame. And it'd be a shame if Hank were just being a hater.
1:47:45Yeah. It would be. It would be a shame, although we need it for the ecosystem. Hater Hank is all the way back. I got a question for you about the trade deadline. We had it this week. What happens in a locker room after the trade deadline? Because I think we kind of overrated a little bit, And I don't know maybe if that's wrong, like from the outside looking in, like, you know, the Jets trade Sauce Gardner and Quinton Williams. Everyone's like, well, the Jets just stink now. Well, they kind of stunk before. I don't know. I don't think it's going to change much. So is there like a drastic change in the locker room when you add a guy or send off a guy?
1:48:19Well, I haven't been a part of too many teams that were like big time buyers or sellers at the deadline. Like when I was in Philly and I started being on like good teams, you know, we were trying to make moves. It was like we brought in an A team. We brought in like Golden Tate or Jay Ajay the year before, and I might be forgetting a couple moves that Howie made. But like I think more than anything, it's just kind of a declaration, like a public declaration of where the team's going, not that you needed the nudge in New York. They're like one and seven, right? But like when you show up on Tuesday or whatever it is or Wednesday and, you know, the two best players on your defense are gone, like that kind of says something.
1:48:58And, you know, as if it weren't like buckle in and we got to we got to find something to be motivated about to finish this season. Like, you know, the thing I like about and the thing I don't get about the whole Jets discourse is like I heard Kyle Brandt talking about this yesterday and he's ranting and raving about, hey, it doesn't matter. The picks don't matter until they have a good quarterback. It doesn't matter. Did they not draft Sam Darnold? Yeah, right. It's not just about the quarterback. It's about building the program the right way. And, you know, I'm actually a fan of for the receiving team, especially the sauce Gardner trade.
1:49:34I think both teams win in that situation, although it's not like kind of common to trade away lockdown corners. Yeah. Yeah. No, I love the move for the Colts. That was their secondary was definitely a weakness, and now they got another dude. And Lou Anamor, I can't ever say his name. Sweet Lou. Sweet Lou Anarumo. Sweet Lou. He's never had corners. He's never had corners like this. Right. And when he has, you know, that Bengals team that went to the Super Bowl, when he had good players, like he is a really good defensive coordinator. And I think that was a smart move by the Colts to be like, hey, these opportunities don't come along very often where it looks like our offense is going to be able to compete with anyone.
1:50:14Let's take advantage of this. Let's try to win a Super Bowl this year. Dude, the player in me is always like, let's go get it. And as an analyst, it's hard because I'll be – and Brandon Bean hates this shit because you heard him talking about it. It's like fantasy football and Madden has ruined the trade deadline where everybody thinks it's going to be like the NBA every year or whatever. But as a player, I always want to go for it. And I do think like the Pittsburgh game, they didn't play great. You're not going to turn the ball over six times every game. Like that's not in the game plan. It was crazy to me sitting in a room full of guys, as you probably were, watching that game, how many dudes in unison when Daniel Jones threw like, his second pick, said, there he is.
1:50:54Yep. Yep. Which sucks for Daniel Jones because he really has played great this year under pressure, the whole thing. Steichen, you know, he'll scheme up man beaters with the best of them. It's hard to play these guys in the run phase, in the pass phase. I thought Pittsburgh matched up while they got some big physical guys in the secondary, played Jalen at safety, which was a little wrinkle. I guess what I'm saying is the Colts shouldn't be discouraged by that game. they should take that next step, which they did, in trying to cash in on this window. You've got a bunch of guys under contract over the next couple years.
1:51:28Another thing this means is Daniel Jones is probably getting paid. Yeah, yeah. Which is a pretty wild thing. That happened fast. But I like their defense. You get Kenny Moore inside. You bring in Bynum. You've got two locked-down corners outside who have the size and versatility to play in loose scheme. And I always say this. You cannot manufacture coverage. You can manufacture pass rush. So for a team that's not elite rushing the passer, this is going to help guys like Latu a lot. Yeah, what comes first, the pass rush or a strong secondary? Because they feed off each other, right? Like if you've got a great pass rush, you can take an average secondary and make them look great.
1:52:08If you have an average pass rush, sometimes you can take – with an elite secondary, you can make the pass rush look a little bit better than it is. So, yeah, what comes first mostly? I think it's my you know and this is a former pass rusher I guess maybe my my bias is like I've played with with less than great corners behind me at times and like you know the the fractions of time when you win it can be so frustrating the difference between a sack and a pressure is you know it's it's a lot when it comes to like uh the court of public opinion but it really isn't much when it comes to what you're doing as a rusher so we see it all the time like I think Denver's an example of really good rush and amazing coverage, right?
1:52:51Like you don't get that all the time. I just think like if you put two lockdown corners outside and you can man up, which, which, and you can press, which kind of increases that kind of fractions of time equation. We always used to talk about that. I think it is coverage and then rush. That's why like if I had an opportunity to, you know, like a generational pass rusher with nobody behind them or a generational corner with decent rushers up front. I'm taking the generational corner. Yeah. I got a question about the Lions. They lose that game to the Vikings. Are the Lions okay? Because I think we think they're okay, but that was a weird one, especially with the Vikings being able to stop their run.
1:53:34The Lions have had a couple games where they played the Chiefs. They got kind of handled by the Chiefs on Monday Night Football. They come back. They beat the Bucs. That was a very nice game for them. But there's been a couple points where it's like, I think the Lions are good. I think they're okay. But just some weird situations where it's like, are we sure their offense is humming the way that we think it is? Because, you know, beating up the Bengals doesn't really get you credit. No, the Bengals, the league should honestly hire the Bengals to play this, just this way, like every week. Yeah.
1:54:06Because they made a depth game exciting. They made that Bears game incredible last week. It is insane. um but i just for the lions and this isn't me waffling because i did take the packers to win the division and i still think the lions are a playoff team and i still think they're one of the nfc elites but they're not who they were last year you know like it is hard to to to make the transition from coordinator to coordinator their scripts have been very good they start the game strong um but but at times like the play calling aspect of it leaves something to be desired um You know, I think the interior offensive line is the big theme, right?
1:54:41We all love Jared Goff. I think he's a fucking stud, right? Like, this didn't take anything away from him. But pressure up the middle at his feet is kind of his worst enemy. And, you know, you can look at metrics and say he's great under pressure and that sort of thing. But if he's got to move off his platform, and if he gets the feeling that, hey, that wall is not being set in the middle of the pocket like he's accustomed to, it is a big difference. Like, Glasgow playing center is way different than Ragnall playing center. I think Ratlidge is great, but Mahogany just left on a cart last week.
1:55:11And Ratlidge has been injured. Decker's been injured. I just think schematically, you saw this last week, B-Flow and the Vikings took a step forward, right? Like they blitzed the fuck out of those guys. And not even like to their standard every week from a volume standpoint, but just the precision with which they attacked the A-gaps. Jameer Gives gave up like seven pressures. So teams are on to this problem. I think schematically the Vikings gained some ground because you've got a first-time play caller. I think the Packers, from a physicality and a roster standpoint, gained ground. And I think the quarterback in Chicago who we – it felt like just yesterday, Dan, you were on my show like, I'm fucking done, dude.
1:55:51That was after week two. It was scary hours. And then I found the gateway, and I've been – the gateway's been correct. I was like, hey, this team can put it back together. But yeah, it's been – the Bears are – they're not going to win the NFC North because I don't trust the defense. But I've been saying for a while now, Ben Johnson has clearly changed the culture. And it's clear this team is fighting in a way that, you know, that Bengals game they would have lost. It would have been like a fourth and 18 and Justin Fields getting sacked or Caleb Williams getting sacked to end the game. They're fighting in a way that they haven't fought in the last couple regimes.
1:56:32well dude they run the ball great um which is one of the reasons i i texted you last week and i was like yo i'm betting the fuck out of the bears and then for like 35 seconds at the end of that day although you were busy making like an untold amount of money on that jersey jerry parlay i was freaking out it's the same thing this week like they run the fuck out of outside zone the giants give up a bunch of explosives they have a bunch of explosives on the ground like i love that but what i was going to say is the running back or the the quarterback Caleb Williams, like, I don't think it's unreasonable to say he's the most talented quarterback in the division.
1:57:06Talented. You know, there's people that look at Jordan Love's big arm and that sort of thing, and they say, like, but he's got a different kind of talent. Like, the extension of plays, the throwing off platform, like, that's big in today's NFL. The athleticism, the extension of plays. I like Caleb, dude. And I think, honestly, like, you look up in two years, and you might be really well positioned in this division. So, yeah, you said it. You said I saw the left tackle 79 dry block somebody into the bench last week. Yeah. Attitude. Yeah. Yeah. No, no, no. Yeah. Yeah. Left is better. He's struggled a little bit.
1:57:45Darnell Wright was throwing people out the club, too. Darnell Wright has turned into Penesul. Yeah. He was he was ready to make that leap. But I think Darnell Wright should be talked about just about in the same light. I think he's fucking fantastic. So I guess I'm just saying Detroit, they're used to a certain luxury when you're the big bad wolf in the division and you're so physical. But like, you know, that's just okay. Over the last three games, I think, look at their yards per carry. I mean, look at Gibbs yards per carry. You take away, I think, the 78-yard run against Tampa, which is a big ifs were a fifth thing.
1:58:20But like, they're just not productive on a consistent basis on early downs. And so, you know, and the secondary, we haven't even talked about that. Like, there's a bunch of dudes off the street. There's a bunch of dudes that, you know, and they just play man. And, like, they, you know, the Tampa game, sorry, I'm rambling, but the Tampa game, Baker played as bad as Baker could have played. And he missed a lot of those schemed up opportunities. JJ didn't even play that great, just took advantage of some of them. Yeah. I think this is a get right week, though, for the Lions. I feel like you could not draw this up any better for the Lions than playing against the Commanders.
1:58:57Yeah, we were talking about this earlier this week, how the Commanders, they've now lost three games in a row by 21 or more points, which you'd have to go back to 2020 to find a team that did that. And then they're on the verge of potentially losing a fourth to the Lions, who desperately need a win, and you'd have to go back to 2002 to find a team. And I feel like with that commander's defense right now, especially the commander's secondary, this feels like it could be a huge week for Detroit. I like the commander. I mean. I do. I do. I like the commander. I hate it. Because it's like you just, it's the NFL.
1:59:32You lose three times in a row by 21 plus. Feels like a zag. Everyone's like, holy shit, this team is garbage, it's trash, it's terrible. One thing Big Cat's forgetting is that last week the Lions lost. So now they're really, really hungry to put it on the map. This is the tough thing about this spot because you're kind of like, you know, it's an unstoppable force versus an immovable object. You know, the team that's mad that you lost in the playoffs and just lost and committed like 20 fucking penalties, and Dan Campbell's probably corporal punishing everybody in the building this week, just like flogging dudes, man.
2:00:06And then it's the other team who's been getting the brakes beat off them. But I think it's a stay away for this reason, guys. Okay. I think it's just a stay away. That makes sense. I've talked myself into a stay away. There's a lot on the board I like this week, dude. Yeah. By the way, so PFT alluded to it. Is there anything to be said about a team, you wanting to play a team off a win instead of off of a loss? Because a team off of a loss, especially if they're like a Lions or a Packers this past week where they were heavy, heavy favorites losing outright, they're going to be more focused, right?
2:00:42Yeah, I mean, you think so. So well-coached teams are always locked in. But, you know, I think sometimes in the NFL it's an interesting thing. Like we would lose a game and, you know, you're going to get ripped, right? But when you win and the things you're not doing well, like as much as coaches try to coach, honestly, they do at the NFL level sometimes coach off the result. So like our D-line could have played the best game in the world. But if we lost and there's yelling in every – The way an NFL meeting room is like it's a hallway full of meeting rooms. And you can if you go out and take a piss in the middle of a meeting after like a shitty game on a Monday, you hear screaming in each room.
2:01:23And, you know, certain rooms scream more than other rooms like offensive line coaches and that sort of thing or a DB coach. D line coaches are big on like whatever the weather is in the building. We're just going to act this way because there's really not a lot to coach in that room. It's just like, hey, did you set the edge? Did you not? Did we get a pass rush? So a lot of times I used to hate like you'd come in after a loss if we played well, coach off the result. I think a loss can do a lot to force coaches and players to have tough conversations. And so, you know, I think sometimes it's cliche to talk about it, but it is true.
2:02:00There's something to being that pissed off team that's coming off a bad loss. And in Detroit's case, they're going to play really well this weekend compared to last week. But they have personnel issues that they're not used to. Like in the past, you could say, oh, Dan's just going to decide they're going to fucking skull fuck this team. But this year, like if you've got problems inside, like that's kind of the domino for your whole offense. Yeah. Yeah. Another big topic in the NFL this year has been soft benching. I think this is the first year that we've ever like that terms really caught on this year.
2:02:30So now we're just saying that everything is soft benching, everything that we see. Have you ever been soft benched? And did you know that there was a thing as a soft benching until this season? Well, the nice thing about being a defensive lineman is like, even when you get soft bench, you kind of still get to play, you know, because we rotate so much. And I can remember like, you know, in the middle of my career, things are going great. I'm part of my take guests all the time. Like things are like I'm playing well. I'm a captain on my team, you know, just all the, all the good stuff. and I got hurt like two years in a row and tried to play hurt, like just play like shit, terrible tape.
2:03:06And Greg Williams kind of sat me down like when I came back off my injury and was like, you're not – like it's not fair, like the way you're running around out there for you to start, right? And so like I just was the second guy off the – it was behind William Hayes. You guys remember William Hayes, who's one of my best friends, and they put William Hayes in to start the game. and I'd come in off the bench. This was the last half year of my St. Louis career, and it wasn't made to be a big deal, but I'm not a quarterback. I don't know what that feels like to be the quarterback that's kind of like everybody knows that the Kyler thing is clearly a soft bench.
2:03:43It's over. It's over. It's over there in Arizona. I think Gannon even said if he was healthy, he'd go with Jacoby Brissett. So it's like it's over. it's gotta be over dude i've seen enough of the same movie there and and and i think the thing i feel bad for Jonathan Hinganen on is like, I think he's a good coach. Um, I didn't love the like shoving dudes thing. And, uh, you know, like, I also think you can make mistakes. Um, but that defense is really actually pretty good. Yeah. And, uh, and they're one of the most unheralded, unheralded groups in the league and they got good cover guys. You know, my boy, Josh sweat coming on down there.
2:04:20I think he's got like seven sacks. And, um, so I think this team's going to be a dangerous team, but like Arizona, Seattle, what's that line at right now? I like the Cardinals plus six and a half. That's too many points. It's too many points, and it's also just going off my basic theory of if a team like played a perfect football game on primetime, just go against them. Just fade them. The Cardinals played primetime as well, but that wasn't a perfect game against the Cowboys. The Seahawks played a perfect game against the Commanders. That first half was a perfect football half. Dude, it was like playing somebody that – It was like playing somebody in a video game that's never played the game.
2:04:58It was crazy to me how easily they were scoring the explosives, everything. And I just, yeah, so we're talking about Arizona. Another thing I like is Trey McBride starting to catch touchdowns. Yeah. Like Jacoby Brissett has found, and I love Marvin Harrison Jr. I think he gets way too much shit. But like Trey McBride's their weapon. Like he's their ace. Like how the fuck does that guy not score, you know, eight, ten touchdowns a year? And I think he's got like three or four since Jacoby took over. So I like that. And you got to realize like their run game took a step back from last year. Like, and they're still playing a lot better in this scenario.
2:05:35They've had injuries in the backfield. Like, yeah, stick with Jacoby. Yeah. I love the dude. On the Seahawks side of that, I do feel like the Seahawks are legit. And the addition of Rashid Shahid, that's like, that's perfect for that because he's going to have the opportunity to do what he does, which is get downfield and just be super fucking fast and not, not be coverable. And I feel like the Seahawks right now, if I'm looking at the NFC, I'm putting them right – I think I might put them top three in the NFC right now in terms of who can make the Super Bowl. Yeah, dude, because their defense is – and I don't want to take anything away from Sam because I think he's playing actually better than he played last year, which didn't surprise me because I think their offensive line is better than the offensive line that the Vikings fielded the back half of the year.
2:06:19And that's probably factors into how they made that decision to move on from him. but he didn't have a full deck. I think if you look at Clint Kubiak, who's there as the offensive coordinator now, he was in New Orleans last year, look at the way they used Shahid early in the year. I mean, he was going off. I think this is going to be a lot of fun for them. They can already stretch the field a little bit because of JSM, but who's the one stretching the field for Shahid or JSN? You can kind of play high-low games with those guys. Barner's a hell of a tight end. And hopefully with all this speed, it gets people off of them so they can run the football because they actually haven't run the football that well this year.
2:06:56Yeah. They're always playing like a hot, cold game with the running backs where it's like, okay, hopefully Kenneth Walker's going to have a good night. Okay, maybe it's Charmaine's night. And it takes them sometimes like a quarter and a half, a full half of football to figure out whose night it really is going to be. And by that time, it can be just too late to get the running game going. But, yeah, I'm buying big time on the Seahawks, right? I got a question for you about you mentioned Jonathan Gannon, hands on the player. Where do you land on that? Are you a hop on Twitter and be like, if anyone ever put their hands on me, I'd fucking kill them.
2:07:28You don't do this. Or is it more, hey, look, it's a passionate sport. You probably shouldn't do it, but shit happens on the sideline. Well, I think baked into my analysis is the acknowledgement that there are plenty of dudes on a 53-man roster who are going to want to choke the coach. Yes. like and maybe i'm one of them in that situation but i'm not going to get on twitter and like you know huff and puff and put my chest out the problem is like you know i don't really like either reaction which is the like oh i'm gonna find jonathan gannon in the parking lot and beat him up or the reaction of the dude that never played a sport hadn't played a sport since high school being like hey toughen the fuck up nfl player like the you know coaches put their hands on kids i'm like yeah maybe on your youth football team but like we're adults and this is a workplace and and you know it's kind of a slippery slope if i if i don't like something a coach says do i get to put my hands on the coach right you know i think it's funny because fans always find a way to side against the the working class if you know what i mean relatively speaking in that situation they always take the the side of the coach or the you know the gm or whoever it is anything but the player and that was a suit it was a stupid fucking play but um you know you could have avoided all that by just taking them out of the game i do think there's you said the workplace it's funny because i do think one of the disconnects that happens between fans and players and fans in like professional sports is how much you're yes you're playing a sport yes it's it's you're getting paid millions of dollars but how much of your existence day-to-day is truly like work like you are going to the office from nine to five you are doing yeah it's totally different everyone would love to do it it's it's not saying that it's not the best job in the world but at the end of the day like you are you you guys are going to work and you're like everyone assumes that players are best friends with each other like no they're co-workers so there are some well the funny thing is the funniest thing is like people will be like you know when you're like hey we work really fucking hard they're like not as hard as a marine in afghanistan that's true i'm like okay well what What about like an accountant?
2:09:41Yeah. Who's watching. Who's yeah. Who's watching like who's hanging out, watching Barstool all day, which I love that. I love that guy. Yeah, which is great. And like, I'm now in the private sector, you know, a private sector. I'm, I'm civilian. Yeah. Yeah. I'm quote unquote. I'm not, you know, I'm not laying my life on the line for the NFL anymore, but like, you know, like work is hard. It's hard for everybody. I mean, like, but that's a different kind of stress, dude. Like that's a different, I don't think I realized until I got out how how wired we all are in that scenario. Like they're just things that are not acceptable at any other workplace in America.
2:10:18And like, you know, it is funny to me that people always want to compare it to like the people that obviously we can't compare to, which are like police officers or first responders or like, you know, Marines or something like it's a fucking hard job. And guys are on edge and like you got to be able to control your emotions, players and coaches. Like, you just don't put your hands on anybody in a situation like that. It's not that hard. Yeah, actually, and this is not saying that we're comparable, but probably the only place you can compare it to is Barstool Sports and the fact that we have, like, we had a controversy of Max putting his hands on Hank in the gambling cave.
2:10:53And everyone was like, we had a lot of people who were like, I would fucking slap the shit out of Max if that happened to me. It's like, dude, they're friends. Like, they get emotional. Who cares? Meek, Phil, and Clever. Yeah. Sometimes when you get two alphas in a room, sometimes they butt heads. You can't do anything about it. You got to let them sort it out like bull elephants out in the wild. And then, you know, nature. Actually, there's a third type of guy. There was a guy that, like you said, would be like, oh, you know, back in my day, my coaches used to beat me up and I turned out fine.
2:11:21Also, they turned out not in the NFL. Oh, yeah, that's the best. I turn out fine. I'm like a 50-year-old tweeting drunk or something. Yeah. I'm just cussing at Chris Long on Twitter because I'm pissed off. because an NFL head coach should be able to push one of his players. But I'm good. I think the bigger highlight in that is that it says a lot about how Gannon looks at DiMarcado because I don't think he would have done that to Josh Sweat. No, you're right about that. There is something to that, and people always say, what about Andy Reid and Kelsey? Like, okay, now there's nuance where these guys have been together for 20 years, and they are kind of like equals.
2:11:59Like Travis Kelsey and Andy Reid are kind of equals. dude and you know d mercado who you know might get cut he's fumbled a ball on the goal line like it'd be one thing and honestly like players coaches you know if coach comes up slaps this is an interesting nuanced discussion about touching players but like if you come up and you put both fists on the shoulder pads come on man like there's some hype in the guy up to that or even if you give him a pat on the back, like on the way, or you touch his helmet just a little bit. Yeah. But it was the way that Gannon kind of twisted his body. Yeah. You'd see the frustration.
2:12:40It was almost like he was spanking him. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? Like when you get the hip twist in there, you want to avoid that. Yeah. And I actually don't love how the Cardinals handled it either. They find Gannon. Like the team find him. And so now everybody, all the players are like, well, this guy's not calling the shots. He just got, he just got bitched by the ownership. Yeah. It's a mess. And that's just why it's further evidence why you just don't draw attention to your team that way. You know, it's so funny people, the same guys that are like, you know, they're the first ones to blame players when there's a distraction, which is, you know, the most misunderstood word in the NFL are the ones defending the guy who's got the media crowded around the podium on Tuesday because he pushed a fucking player.
2:13:23yeah like just avoid that bullshit yeah have you ever been distracted i do love that term when it comes to football like oh this guy he's a locker room distraction like everyone's going to work distracted by setting my nba fantasy lineup i swear to god i use we used to play nba fantasy like heavy dude we used to uh rent out the the ritz carlton ballroom and have our drafts with like it was a big deal it It was kind of like in what's the movie where Paul Rudd's doing, he's doing the fantasy baseball draft and then he drafts Nomo and his wife shows up and she's all pissed off. What's that fucking movie?
2:14:01Was that I Love You, Man? Yeah. I Love You, Man. Yeah. I want to watch Spider-Man too. Like it was like a big deal. We had like in-person drafts and like Jolene Dunbar and Cortland Finnegan. But that shit is tough to keep track of. And on Sunday mornings, like I swear, sometimes I come back in from warm-ups and set my lineup. Yeah. fans would not be happy about yeah nba fantasy is uh it's a different beast i tried doing it one year and this is way too much work for me we should do we should do dingers only but for dunks yeah only dunks yeah dunks only we gotta track it dude i can't even remember to set my fantasy lineup by the way i'm in that tommy alter league which is basically he holds me at gunpoint every year and is like be in my fantasy league like and and i don't even set my lineup i'm in that We're in there with like, aren't you in there?
2:14:48Yeah, I'm in there. Isn't like Tim Robinson in there? Tim Robinson's in there. I'm trying to Pablo Torrey's in that. I think Pablo Torrey's in first place. You might not want to be in a group text with Pablo Torrey. He might hack into your mainframe. Jesus. Wait, is there money involved in this league? Yeah, there's some money. Okay. Because that's the thing is too, is like you can't, I can't do a fantasy league. If people invite me and it's like, you know, a hundred bucks, like I'm not going to check it. I'm just not going to check it. No. No, there has to be a punishment. Good fantasy leagues are defined by the punishment.
2:15:22But also this, I didn't draft my team because Tommy kept changing the fucking day like he always does. And I had a recreational day lined up. I'm not going to change my schedule for the fourth league that I'm in. I do think Chris and I are aligned in that league that our main goal is to just beat Tommy. I think that's your team name, isn't it? My team name is Beat Tommy, dude. I'm tired of it, bro. I'm tired of the pictures. I'm tired of all his cool friends. I'm tired of him making me be in the league. And then he's like, hey, I know she haven't paid. I'm like, bro, I didn't ask to be in the league.
2:15:54You pay. No, I do love Tommy, but he is. Tommy's the man, dude. This is like his little playhouse that he invented where he's like, okay, I'm going to get all my friends together and make them play against each other while I watch. Yeah. It's kind of sick stuff. Yeah, it is. No, no, it's crazy, dude. It's crazy. All right, Chris, I have one last question for you. This has been awesome. Always love having you on. We're going to do it again. That's good seeing you guys. Go listen to the Greenlight Pod with Chris. And he's got our guy, Stanford Steve, on. Macon is the man. Facts. Yeah, there's his whole.
2:16:26Macon's got to be going nuts about Virginia. Oh, he is going nuts. We went to the Virginia game. We went to the Florida State game, which I don't really go a lot. Not being too cool. I just like watching from home. Yeah. But I rushed the field with him. He talked me into rushing the field, which was sick, and some FSU player's mom cussed us out because we rushed through the Florida State section, but Macon was going nuts, dude. He was skipping on the field. It was awesome. That is awesome. It was maybe the best field rush of all time. Also, it looked a little scary. Yeah. Oh, dude, there was a guy that disappeared in the – Yeah, is he okay?
2:17:05Did he make it out of there? No, we haven't seen him since. He's in a milk carton. He's gone forever. Okay, last question, Roback question, R-H-O-B-A-C-K.com, promo code TAKE, 20 % off your first purchase, Q-Zips, polos, hoodies, joggers, shorts, Roback.com, promo code TAKE. Week 10, give us, if you want to go, one or two best bets, games you're looking at, maybe most interesting games. You don't have to, I don't want to put you on the spot and have it be a pick that everyone's like, oh, Chris steered us the wrong way, but maybe something you're feeling. No, and for the record, if I blow this up, I was 5-0 last week.
2:17:41So, all right, I really like the Ravens. Really? I think the Ravens roll this week. Yeah, I do. I think Detroit played so poorly last week, and people are overvaluing Detroit. And I feel like since Kyle Hamilton's been unleashed in the box, I also like the Draymond Jones trade. Wade, I think this team knows that they have no margin for error. Lamar's back. It's like, it's time to go, man. And, you know, I think I hit my stack guy up a little bit earlier. I'll give you one little nugget here. Yeah, I mean, also off that, I like that as well. Just you can't blitz Lamar. Brian Flores likes to blitz.
2:18:25Detroit did that well, but that was a funky spot. Vikings defense versus scrambles this season. 30th in success rate allowed, 29th in EPA per play allowed, 27th in yards per play allowed. And so I really like the Ravens. I also like the Bucs. Okay. It's a good time to back the ball. That's another one where actually off of that, I'm curious because I was looking at some numbers, and Drake Mays has been phenomenal against the Blitz this year. That's right. Todd Bowles wants to Blitz. Is a guy like Todd Bowles a good enough, different enough Blitzer? Or is it a situation where he will throw stuff at Drake May that Drake May has never seen before?
2:19:06It's not just, hey, Drake May's good against the Blitz, Todd Bowles Blitz, Drake May's going to kill him. Well, I think it's like Todd Bowles prefers to man up and be aggressive, like if he can. And one of the reasons he was so giddy this offseason was like, hey, we found a couple young man-to-man corners, which over the last couple years at times he's had to be out of character. I think it's mostly about, like, those young offensive linemen who have been good. I think Will Campbell's a good player, man. I think he's going to be a really good player in this league for a long time. But, you know, they've given up some pressure.
2:19:38Last week they gave up some pressure on twists and stunts. So I just feel like in a game like this, I'm going to trust the more proven commodity. And if the Pats beat them, great, man. That's a big win for them. You know, they can hang that up there with the Bills win because they are a team that I respect a lot. Yeah. I got one more kind of like detailed football question for you, but it's more about us being dumb and not really understanding when people dive deep into the numbers. I've seen a lot of discourse recently about 13 personnel, about 12 personnel. I understand what the numbers mean.
2:20:13We learned that like four years ago. I think we retained that pretty well. It's one running back, three wide receivers, or one running back, two wide receivers. Two tight ends, sorry. Tight ends. Tight ends. We're almost there. I almost got it, 90 % of the way there. Why are we talking about this all of a sudden, and which teams are the smartest in using those things? That's a great question, PFT. We've heard Greg Olson talking about this, and I think there's something to be said for teams that get heavy, right? So you match their personnel. And by get heavy, I mean two tight ends on the field, 12, 13 personnel.
2:20:48You implore the opposing defensive coordinator to put a third linebacker on the field, right? Yeah. And then you throw the ball on them. And, you know, one of the cases that's being made right now is that, you know, Seattle, who likes a bunch of tight ends on the field, likes these bigger sets because they like play action. They like a lot of bodies on the edge to slow rushes down, which is why I think they're brilliant that way. But, you know, like they get in those those deals to throw the ball. And so when I think about like using 12 personnel, it's a perfect example, like get heavy and pass.
2:21:19And then there's teams that refuse to to get heavy defensively and you run the ball on them. ideally you know so so i think that's the biggest thing i i don't think there's um i don't think there's a ton of great defenses in the middle of the field in the nfl so like look at the bills that game last week was was amazing and i'm gonna get off in a second but like it you know how the whole thing is like yeah but the bills are gonna lose in the playoffs here's the bill's best hope is like i don't know what kansas city does to cover the tight ends because with Reed, their safety going to New Orleans, like they're down a cover guy.
2:22:00They're not a great rush football team. Pass rush outside of Chris Jones. Like that to me is like the Bills have owned the middle of the field. How do the Bills continue to win, you know, without great wide receivers outside? They own the middle of the field. And so if they get in these two and three tight end sets, more so two tight end sets, and they used a fullback a lot last week, like you saw Gilliam on like those lead plays, like that's coming back a little bit and i like it man yeah because there's a rusher i don't like that shit it's not that tight ends are big and strong they're in the fucking way and they make you adjust your angles like they make you get outside of them fit in a crease like whatever you know it's just there's more traffic yeah yeah that's why i like arroyo he's he's a big dude that can be on the end of that line in seattle and he's also a great pass catcher yeah and they ask all those guys to block that's why like cooper cup came in and that sort of thing which you know It's cool to see you guys bought in, blocking.
2:22:54How about shout-out to Mercedes Lewis, too? Yes. Still doing it. Yes. It's incredible. Incredible. All right, Chris, you're the best, man. Thank you. All right, boys. Hope to see you soon. Morgan & Morgan has been fighting for the people and helping with your Fyre Fest for over 35 years. With Morgan & Morgan, it's easy to get started. Their fee is free unless they win. You can check them out at forthepeople.com slash PMT. That's forthepeople.com slash PMT. Okay, Fyre Fest of the Week. Henry, what do we got? Fyre Fest of the Week, just being old, we did a Barstool After Dark dodgeball stream on Tuesday. Yeah. There's 20 of our people, me, Max, PFT, played.
2:24:46There's three college dodgeball teams, and we probably played 25 matches. Didn't win a single one. That's not true. We won two matches. We won 20 versus three. Finally. Back to back. And then we lost to 20 versus three. You're just doing semantics at this point. You are doing semantics. You won a match. Wait, is he doing semantics or some antics? both he's doing both yeah but my body was sore after and it's been more it's gotten worse every day i've woken up since yeah like i was more sore today than i was yesterday same i woke up this morning my shoulder was just i couldn't move it do you still have like raspberries and marks on your body because old age when those balls hit they sting yeah i got smoked in the face max got smoked in the face i laughed in his face and then i got smoked it was great it was within like 30 seconds of me stepping onto the dodgeball court just an absolute fireball right to my the left side of my face hank couldn't have laughed harder and then like 20 minutes later the same thing happened to him damn some elite it was funny it was like i felt like i was in a movie like in a war movie where it's like the two you know two soldiers are talking to each other and then one of them just gets blown up yeah that's what it felt like i was standing next to max and he just got smoked thank you for your service max yes yeah that looked like uh it didn't look fun it wasn't it was not fun it was fun for the viewer the crazy thing about those balls is there's a way that you're supposed to grip them to throw them hard yep and these college dodge they've all like mastered how to do it how to throw it they throw it like 70 miles an hour they're really good with curve on it and then if you try to do that you have to like grab it and then pinch underneath the nipple of the ball is what they say and so i tried to do that the whole time and every single finger on my right hand feels like it's jammed right now just gripping that fucking ball for what was it like three hours brutal yeah it was tough grind but we won don't let don't let max you won a game disinformation well you guys didn't win i was the one who defended that we won he was oh yeah that's right doing disinformation that's right hank was doing disinformation i just lost we lost 20 verse 3 that's yeah that's a tough loss but we won two of them that were 20 verse 3 that's cool i guess to the championship you made it to the championship yeah and lost okay well you made it to the championship 20 verse 3 losers all that for all that to lose okay pft uh my firefest has been the the ongoing saga of the internet invitational as it as it keeps unfolding and the matches are going to get crazier and better i can't wait to watch the entire rest of the series i think people are going to continue to really really enjoy all the different wrinkles and stuff that happens moving forward but uh to clean up stuff that happened from last week it's The Luke Kwan thing is like a story that won't die online.
2:27:37And it's taken a turn where now there was like a backlash to the backlash against Luke Kwan. Of course. And now people are like, Luke did nothing wrong. Some people are now questioning my handicap on both sides. I've got people saying I'm a sandbagger. People saying I'm a reverse sandbagger. And that's like a weird... Golf Twitter is insane when it comes to that. But Luke put out a video this week where he apologized. and Memes made a super cut of all of his apologies. I think he apologized, I don't know, dozen times. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I genuinely am apologetic for that. Genuinely sorry.
2:28:13Just want to reiterate, I really am sorry. PFT, genuinely from the bottom of my heart, I'm really sorry. I really am sorry. I genuinely would have came up to you and said sorry to you in person. I should have said sorry. Like I definitely should have said sorry. I'm sorry that I didn't. I made an honest mistake and I was sorry. Harder of a environment for me to go up there and just say sorry. Why didn't you say sorry? I should have just said sorry right away. but I'm sorry. Specific, I'm sorry. And I'm sorry to my teammates. Again, I'm sorry. I genuinely am sorry. I apologize. I apologize. I'm sorry about my nonchalantness.
2:28:41I'm sorry. I'm sorry for saying those things. PFT, honestly, I'm sorry. I really am genuinely sorry. I'm still sorry. I'm sorry. I really do apologize. PFT, if you're watching, I really do apologize. I'm also sorry. Genuinely sorry. And I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm genuinely apologizing. Sorry. I'm just sorry. At the end the day i just want to say i'm sorry um so i've been going back and forth with lou way more than that can i see one of these do we have it he said the word sorry i only watched half i watched half the video he said the word sorry probably 50 times i thought it was i thought he was doing a bit it is i actually at one point i was like it might have been he might be doing satire it escaped containment it's popping up everywhere online like places i'm not expecting to see talking about the luke kwan pft scramble match at the invitational uh so he yeah we can play a little bit of it addressing internet invitation 16 minutes yeah that's too long 16 minute apology 18 minutes to be addressing the this has been a whirlwind few days usually i am opening instagram habitually just being an idiot and i've just like tried to not open the app anymore i don't like there's like apps that are not safe anymore anyways you guys know what happened i i just wanted to come in here and at least say something to all the teammates i i apologize like sincerely from the bottom of my heart if i haven't said this to you in person yet i hope you hear this now i'm i'm sorry for waking up late i'm sorry for disrespecting uh i'm sorry i was disrespectful to your time this event did he address you specifically i don't know if he i haven't watched the full video but he sent me this video on friday night uh before he posted he's like hey I'm thinking about posting this because I've been texting with him.
2:30:21I want to see how he was doing and be like, that was pretty crazy. And I haven't watched the full video, so I'm not exactly sure what he does or doesn't say in the full apology. When he texted you to say, hey, I'm thinking about posting this, did you watch the video or you're just like, that's good to post? No, I watched it. Oh, okay. Yeah, I watched it. But you didn't watch the full video. I watched the full video that he sent, but I think he probably edited some of that down into the 18-minute version. Got it. All right, here's him addressing PFT. PFT, if you're watching, I really do apologize.
2:30:49That was not my intention. Oh, nice. And I know I'm saying it's banter. Maybe you guys think it's disrespectful. I really do. I'm also sorry for thinking that I can banter with PFT like I do with my friends. I misread that. Wow. I can't banter. That wasn't banter. Yeah, that's the thing. He didn't banter. He was just a dick. I was just trying to win the golf tournament and then be like, hey, Luke, let's be friends and play this round. And he started just jumping into ball busting, which is like my feelings aren't going to get hurt. No. I work at Barstool Sports. I hear way worse than that with the people that I work on the show with on a daily basis.
2:31:23His biggest problem was that he talked to talk and then he slept in and didn't walk to walk. Like if he had come out and dominated, none of this would have mattered. It's just like you can't talk the talk and then have that happen to you. And then people online. It's also not a very big deal overall. It's really not. But then now people are online and are like, I can't believe that Luke did that. and then he showed up and proceeded to berate his poor 25 handicap playing partner. And so now I'm like a big victim in all this. You are? Which I am. Like my feelings. No one's talking about my feelings throughout all this.
2:31:57So I've been going back and forth with Luke. I think the best way out of this, and I've told Luke, I want to play him heads up, head to head in a match, handicaps included. And I want to make it happen soon. Your sandbagging handicap or your regular handicap? My handicap just dropped. I think it's going to, I think it's a 21.8 now. Oh, shit. My real handicap is what we're going to use. I want to do a thing where the loser has to wake up at 5 a.m. every day for a month and go live or do something like proof of I'm awake and fully dressed. I'm capable of waking up at 5 a.m. and post that online somewhere for accountability.
2:32:38That was my idea. I actually haven't talked to Luke about that wrinkle to it, but I want to play him head-to-head in this. I want me to be able to pick his caddy. I want him to be able to... He can pick anybody for my caddy, and I've got a short list of probably two people that I'm thinking about for Luke Kwan's caddy, and I want to make it happen soon. I think we will, but it does feel like it's the very strange controversy that just won't die on us. Yeah, yeah. I just hope that next time I sleep in and miss something that I get the, like, the amount of people being like, I stand with Luquan, I stand with Luquan.
2:33:15I want that. Yeah. No. Like, I would just, AWLs, if you're listening, like, if I sleep in and miss something, like, keep that same energy. They're not. People were very supportive of them. They're not supportive. Like, people were overwhelmingly being like, I stand with Luquan. But they're not. You're standing with the guy that just slept in and missed the tee time. But you understand, they're not standing with him for sleeping in. I think they are. No, they're standing with him because he got brutalized online, which was a fair reaction. It's a reaction to the reaction, like PFT said. Also, some of the video recaps that I've seen of it recently are people that are like, there are just a lot of people using the F word on Luke Kwan's comment section online.
2:33:58And I've never seen something like this on golf YouTube. The Internet Invitational is awesome. It is. I can't wait to see it grow. So golf, like Twitter and fans, they're a little soft. Wouldn't you agree, Hank? They're a little soft. It's okay to say that. They're soft. So this is a different world. Barstool's a different world where this is like something that happens and it's like, yeah, he's an asshole, but we'll move on. They're a little soft. Yeah, so his comment, he pinned this comment on the YouTube. Also, no hate to PFT, please. Thank you, Luke, for calling the Quan Army. I'll stand with you, PFC.
2:34:35The Quan Army. Oh, I don't like the end of this. He reached out and texted asking me how I'm doing. He's a good dude, and we're down to do something in Chicago when schedules line up. Life goes on, doesn't it? No. Oh, you missed something there. What? Life goes on, LOL. LOL. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Yeah. No, no, no. Not doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. So I don't think it's... I'm trying to work out something where we don't have to wait to play in Chicago. I want to do it soon. I want to have a head-to-head rematch. I want just like me. You're going to go to New Zealand?
2:35:10Me versus him. Maybe go to New Zealand, Hank. You got the shirt on right now? I'll say... Listen, it doesn't matter long term, but I still hate Luquan. Yeah, I mean... I'll be in that camp. That's fine. I stand with him. You stand with him? The sleeping in part. Even though he disrespected someone who's very close to you? Multiple times? They made up. Okay. I'll hold the grudge. I never felt disrespected in the moment because I suck at golf. I know that. I'm bad. I just thought he was being a dickhead. You can be like, yeah, this guy's just being a dickhead right now. And my feelings weren't like, oh, I can't believe Luquan made fun of me because I can't putt very good.
2:35:51Yeah. On the list of things that I care about in my life, my putting ability is it's got to be close to the bottom still was dick moved like you're not going to make that doesn't matter he was right he was right he was right on that yeah he was very right about it so yeah we'll try to make something happen uh but in the meantime the uh the next few episodes of the internet invitational are going to be incredible yes and i can't wait to watch how it turned out the all right my fire fest is at max i think you probably are going through the same thing i miss baseball i've had like kind of a weird and i think part of it was i went on tuesday i went to get dinner at chick-fil-a with my son and we went to the one by wrigley so we drove by wrigley and the weather has also been perfect fall weather i just miss baseball i don't know i miss the boys of summer it hasn't hit me i think it's a combo of the cubs being in the playoffs and then the world series being as good as it was i miss the fuck out of baseball yeah i miss baseball too but i have great news for everyone else who misses baseball oh what's the news next week yes dingers only video yes steven che who lost stingers only this no no oh you oh no oh you actually from last year yeah from last year oh wow that's weird because it's like over calendar yeah it's confusing i forgot i thought we're just going right to steven che no no no we did it's gonna be i'm excited i'm excited for the people to see yes the savannah bananas max yeah fuck it yeah savannah bananas we pitched we played against savannah bananas at the white socks field an undisclosed undisclosed it looks like a major league stadium but we don't know where it was that's why i didn't use their actual name yeah and it's it's a cool stadium at chicago stadium chicago baseball yeah i saw like the generic yeah when they didn't when a video game didn't get rights yeah to a certain team it's we're playing at the chicago baseball all i can say about what stadium it was when i was leaving i saw some delicious looking s'mores desserts that they were making in the concourse there looked like some really good ballpark food so yeah my miss baseball also i i think i've talked about this before i think this is actually now because uh like going through uh like your kids different ages i think this happened a couple years ago and i mentioned it but now my middle child my four-year-old is in the phase of just waking up at two in the morning and coming into my room and i she is a terrorist because i can't stop her i said to her straight up i said to her hey you gotta stay in your room and she just said no and just smiled in my face and there was nothing i could do about it argument one it's just she just is like i was like hey can you please stay in your room like we really we gotta stay in our room we gotta get our sleep and she just goes no and i was like fuck i'm out you can't There's nothing you can do.
2:38:42You can't negotiate with that. No, you can't. You can't reason with no. She's got me. She's got me. It's bad. It's a bad scene. So I said I was going to lock all the doors. That didn't go over well. So, yeah, it's a problem. I think I got to beat someone up in front of my kids. So they think that like because they're always coming and being like, I'm scared. I'm scared. I'm scared. It's like, but I'm here. So I got to do like a feature. Maybe I got to like simulate like Max coming to our house. I just beat him up. You got to hire somebody for that. Yeah. Yeah. Max breaks in wearing a mask. I just beat the fuck out of you tap.
2:39:16Make him tap. Make a burglar tap. Yeah, I could do. And then you give him a lesson like dog, the bounty hunter on the way out. And then he becomes like indebted to you for the rest of his life. And she's like, wow, my dad, he can beat people up. And he's also a really kind, sweet guy. Dog, the bounty hunter has been DMing me randomly, and I don't really understand why. But he's just been DMing me like every other week. Let me look up. How does a girl suicide herself with two dozen knives, brah? The Jigsaw couldn't write this in a sequel. Please share. Please share this, brother. Aloha. And then the other day, on Tuesday, he just said, are you for Trump or no?
2:39:53I haven't replied to any of these. Yeah. I might need to get back in the dog business. That's wild. Yeah. He just keeps sending me hot tips being like, hey, let's get this guy. Maybe I got to mount up. Yeah. Have you ever helped him track anybody down? I haven't, but I'm down to help. Absolutely down to help. Yeah, whatever you need, dog. With your baseball thing about missing baseball this time of year, I had a dumb thought. What if the NBA was a summertime sport? And what if – I know baseball in the fall is incredible. I love it. But what if baseball – yeah, baseball stays in the summertime.
2:40:30Yeah, you can't – were you going to move baseball to winter? Well, I was just thinking about, like, flip-flopping sports seasons. No. When I was trying to go to sleep the other day. and I just felt like NBA in the summertime would be good. No, the only fix for NBA would be start at Christmas. Yeah. That would be more because I just, November basketball is just so, I don't know. It's like, it's not real. I like college basketball. College, Feast Week is my favorite. Yeah. Yeah. But NBA can stay, could do Christmas. Right. Yeah. I think my thought was more about how much I dislike the NBA this time of year.
2:41:07I was like, what if we just moved to the summertime? Fill in some of those gaps in days a little bit. But yeah, you're right. I think the sports calendar, they got it right. They got it right. Shout out God. They got it right. Okay, Zach, finish us off. My favorite of this week is I've been hearing conflicting reports on this, and I'd like to get your guys' take on this as well. I went on, I guess, what someone called solo date the other day. I thought it was. Okay. I thought it was like a super normal thing to do, and I'm hearing otherwise. How did the date go? It was fantastic. Oh. Like, I think there's like, you got to think about it.
2:41:43There's no small talk. You get to order whatever. You get to eat at your own pace. Oh, wait. Hold on. I was confused. Yeah. I thought you meant a solo date. You went just you and a woman. Oh. No. Oh, no, no, no. You just went out to dinner by yourself. Yes. Yeah. Yes. Got it. Which I thought was more normal at the time, and I'm hearing conflicting reports. No. I'm just curious what you guys' thoughts were. Joe Flacco told us that's heaven on earth. Yeah, dude. It's nice to just go do something. I did a solo walk the other day. It was a beautiful fall day. It was like I dropped my kids off at school.
2:42:16I didn't have to be in work for, I don't know, like an hour or so. I was like, I'm just going to go for a walk. And it was sick. You ever go to the movies solo? Yes, sir. All the time. That's great. I think that's the best way to go to the movies. What was your solo day? Did you order for two? No, I like played the field a little bit Let's hear the order Where'd you go? I went to a dessert place on the street No, it's not a dessert place Travoli Tavern, not a dessert place Just like a very nice restaurant But has a very good dessert I've been hearing so many things about the dessert For weeks It's like a very, very nice restaurant Also, everyone just tells you about desserts You hear about desserts from everywhere That's a good point, didn't take that into consideration Did you only get dessert?
2:43:02or did you get a full meal? I did a couple courses. Give it to us. Give us the order. Pigs in a blanket, crab wontons, and then just a prime rib sandwich and some pasta. You always have a great way of adding the last thing that you don't expect. And then what was the dessert? A sticky date cake that everybody's been raving about. This place is a dessert place because that was the best thing on the menu. It's a dessert place. So you basically, you force fed yourself four courses just to get to the dessert i i was just anticipating dessert the whole time i was like i need to look like an adult and order regular food and the whole time i should have just went double dessert and got out of there yeah exactly i'm curious to know what what you're like at a restaurant especially in a solo date if you're ordering food because you're the nicest guy in the world and you're always asking people what you can do for them like when you order you ask for an item of food from a server do you feel bad about making them go get that food no uh the the waiter was very nice i was just more i was asking him what his favorites were i was like we'll play the hits this guy knows ball probably so i put together his his one one meal there that's good yeah that's a good way to do it but yeah nothing wrong with solo date nothing wrong at all there are some places where you probably shouldn't go on a solo date like the zoo the zoo feels like a bad solo date place kind of a cool place you get to walk around You don't have to deal with anything.
2:44:28You just see the animals. Yeah. If a guy goes to the zoo by himself, he's going to be in and out in like an hour because he's just going to like speed walk to every place and be like, saw the giraffe. Yeah. Yeah. Saw the elephant. Yeah. Zach, be yourself. How is the duo dates going? Any? Duo dates are cool. I just think solo dates might be a better alternative to duo dates. Do we have any female AWLs in Chicago area that maybe want to solo date with Zach? I got no duo dates on the calendar. Probably some solo ones coming up. Okay. At the end of... So that was your first date, the solo date that you went on.
2:45:03Did you get invited up? Oh, yeah, straight back to the house. Yeah. Yeah. Nice. That's nice. Nice. Close the deal. Yeah. 100%. Way to go. All right. Good show, boys. Let's do numbers. Memes, do you feel good about this today? You're in your lucha fit. I do. I also go to the zoo by myself sometimes, and I felt extremely disrespected right there. You could walk through the zoo. Yeah, you could definitely go through the zoo. You could definitely do the zoo. On a solo? I've never done it. I guess maybe. The zoo's free, too. You just walk. You just walk through. Yeah. All right. Listen, I love the zoo.
2:45:36I've just never been there solo. I'm going to go 100. You might have to try. You got to go. Have you been to the Chicago Zoo? I have, yeah. You got to see the polar bears. Been there like four times. The park zoo's awesome. It's great. The lions are incredible. There's two new bears at the park zoo, too. Yeah, two brown bears. That's sick. Yeah, it is so sick. A 99 foot. Also, the gorilla enclosure there. They could just jump over. Oh, yeah. Big time. Big time. And you get the added family drama of the gorillas. You can see the kids running around, the mom being like, hey, quit playing. The kids being like, I'm going to keep playing.
2:46:06My son went to zoo camp. You should drop your kid in the gorilla enclosure and then shoot the gorilla. That's how you show them. No, my son went to zoo camp the last two years at the Link Park Zoo. I was like, I'm so jealous. Zoo camp. I would go to zoo camp as an adult. Yeah. And then when we go to the zoo, he's like the expert. where he's like, oh, no, it's over here. It's like, fuck, you know it all. It seems like they get really cool shorts when you work at the zoo. Yeah. Just khaki. The khaki ones, yeah. All right, everyone say their numbers again. 77. 22. 100. 33. 44. 15. 86.
2:46:4761. Means, would you like to do another? Sure. All right, let's do one more. He's getting close It's gonna happen He's gonna He's gonna beat Hank's Guess record Well I have guessed it What? I have I have guessed it No You didn't get the ball I have guessed it Stop doing this again I have guessed it Right now Memes is Also I think I think Huey's on there He hasn't gotten it Memes is Where's Where's Where's Hank I don't see Oh yeah Memes is He is like What is he at 336 guesses so damn after this he's going to be 66 guesses 68 guesses away from Hank and he's not getting this one we know that oh two oh my god means two brutal That's the one I guessed correctly.
2:47:54Love you guys.
2:48:28Thank you.
2:48:54Thank you.
2:49:22Thank you.
2:49:50Thank you.
