In short

Pilot Plus discusses Prime Video’s Every Year After (romantic drama based on Carly Fortune’s novel) and then does James and Steph’s Yellowstone Roundup covering Yellowstone season 3.

Guests

No external guests. Hosts are James and Steph (they debate the shows and read listener “post bag” messages).

Every Year After key claims

It’s “sugary sweet,” highly formulaic second-chance romance with flashbacks to Percy’s teen summers in a lakeside town; a “dark secret”/“unforgivable betrayal” drives the split; the show “ticks every box” (dreamy love interest now a doctor, jetty/lake imagery, friendship bracelets, predictable reunions). Noted cast: Sadie Soverell as Percy (also known for The Fate the Winx Saga).

Notable examples

jetty/lake scenes, teen-to-present flashback structure, friendship bracelets, and a late-episode reunion in episode 1.

Yellowstone season 3 roundup notable examples: Beth’s hatred of Jamie tied to a clinic procedure that turns out to be a hysterectomy; Walker’s return; Monica and an indigenous murder storyline; Jamie learns he’s adopted; Will Patton as Jamie’s father; new antagonist Rourke Morris (Josh Holloway); Wade’s branding/betrayal; Teeter/Colby trampling in a creek and later stitching.

0:07Welcome to Pilot Plus, your extended guide to every show that matters. And we are gathered here today for a summer of love. Specifically, every year after the upcoming American romantic, I was going to call it a teen drama. It's actually not teen. It's kind of like a 20-something romantic drama. This is based on the novel Every Summer After by Carly Fortune, and it It is every year after, as it is on Prime Video. It's been developed by Amy B. Harris and Layla Gerstein. And it follows a young woman named Percy who returns to the idyllic lakeside town where she grew up and where her first love lived and indeed still does.

0:45So it's a nice little romantic sojourn in the sun with lots of swimming in lakes. Isn't that right, Steph?

0:50Steph:So, you know, second chance romances are like the staple of every kind of TV Christmas movie that I've ever watched and loved. okay and for me i watched an episode and a half of this because i only got the screen is quite late and this is all the saccharine teen romance i mean you're saying it's not teen but the fact is it it flips between kind of their their teen years and then present day so so persephone persephone to use her full name um is is brought back to this idyll this you know beautiful lakeside town where there's a jetty and everything's wonderful um and she spent many a just incredible summer making best friends with two brothers and eventually falling in love with one as you would expect from anything that was like this.

1:46Steph:I mean, I think every single girl that watches this is going to be like, oh, you know, this is what you think all Americans, how all Americans spend their summers. They go to a lake house and there's a jetty and you jump in and then you make lifelong friends and then you visit them later. And then there's a romance that lasts forever. And that is exactly what this is it's so sugary sweet it's like eating a massive bag of skittles in one go it's that saccharine i am fully in because sam the boy that is her best friend and the line that he uses percy was not just my girlfriend she was my best friend okay which is the line everyone's every teenage girl wants to hear um he is dreamy not only is he dreamy he's also now a doctor so he's or he's got this floppy hair that's beautiful he's got these beautiful eyes everything about him is wonderful percy has got this she's had that there's been an unforgivable betrayal which is not revealed i mean obviously if you've read the books you know what the unforgivable betrayal and i just want to stress it is a real unforgivable teen betrayal it's not you know it's not we're not talking like murder here well like someone tore up someone else's you know take that poster yeah it's like oh my god they read my diary that kind of team it's a little bit it's a little bit worse than that anyway but it's billed as a dark secret that tears them apart and it's and it's and it's if at best it's kind of a light gray secret have book Steph you sound like someone who's read the book no I haven't read this book but I have read so many but and I did when I was teenager so many books like this and again I'm going to bring up the point the predictability of this story is delicious like if you just want you know like the teen kind of you know notes of the notebook um young couple who are meant to be together their first love obviously there's going to be complications over these eight it's eight episodes isn't eight episodes but she's come back because his mother has died and she and you kind of i don't want to give away who's invited her but someone's invited her and she's going to come back and deal with all with all of the the stress and the upset of why she had to leave and the decade that they spent apart and it's just exactly what it's billed as you look at that you look at all of the press info about it you look at the picture and it's like that's exactly what it is there's no hidden surprises it's you as they say is the is your first love going to kind of be the love of your life and i'm i'm absolutely a hundred percent in i'm going to watch all of it even though i know what's going to happen even all the scenes that are predictable like there's a scene at the end of episode one i'm going to give away a slight spoiler here but i don't think it's that bad but the thing is it's so obviously going to happen no i know what you're going to say and i'm banning you from saying it are you yes okay well it's brilliant when they finally meet and they only meet they only are reunited in the last 10 minutes and you know something happens which you totally know is going to happen um yeah like i said you know the the the sibling rivalry the the fights on the jetty the jumping in the water the soundtrack is like the soundtrack of every teenage dream it's it's it's everything you want it's everything you want and it's exactly exactly what it says on the tin and it does exactly what it does on the tin are we saying that the prime is actually rebranding themselves from dad core to teen core is this their new this is super teen core this is super teen core yeah it's right up boyd street i was about to say boyd clearly you are the target audience for this yes i'm not sure if i am entirely the target audience um let me just say that it's off-campus is it it's no no no it's very it's very kind of white bread middle brow inoffensive i mean there's some swearing in it there's some effing and jeffing going on but when it comes to matters of uh adult behavior it's all very chaste well it is so far in episode one and i mean if they're not going to get if they're not going to make it less chaste in episode one then what's the point you know no one's gonna no one's gonna carry on watching it apart from bugger me steph who's already did you enjoy the uh reference to clarkson farm where one of the characters said i'd rather be at home watching that giant british car on his farm this giant british he says the giant british guy on his farm yeah yeah that's accurate yeah john clarkson's huge yeah how tall is he oh i'd say he's at least three six or four oh i didn't know that okay but you know no it's a big beast of a man that was a good that was that was in fact you've you've That was the one interesting line of dialogue in the whole fucking hour.

6:46Because it's just, I mean, the situation is just, oh God, it's just exhaustingly predictable, isn't it? What horrible thing has she committed? What horrible act of betrayal has she done? You know, what could it possibly be? I sat there thinking, I really hope this goes super dark. And I hope the act of betrayal is so horrendously grotesque that it all shocks us out of our system.

7:08Steph:but it won't be because it'll be like it doesn't yeah it'll be like you know i don't know she set fire to the jetty or something um it is like half as you were saying it's it is half teen romance um because of all the half of it is in flashback form by the way the um younger brother doesn't look anything like his adult acting oh yeah that's so true it's so confusing whereas He kind of looks more like the brother, the other brother. So it's like the casting is confusing, whereas she and the other guy do look like their teen selves to some extent. But I was just confused by the other guy. The music, oh, my God.

7:52Steph:Oh, I love the music. It's just like a teenage dream. It was like sub Dawson's Creek. Island in the Sun. Don't you come for Dawson's Creek soundtrack. That was great. Oh, but every, like, there's so much of it. well you know like just relentless montages sometimes not your mom sometimes entire scenes play out with like some annoying woman oh i love it it's totally it's just it's so saccharine it's unbelievable um awful music um it was just bland wasn't it it's just super bland and you know i get yeah i think this could be like the i i fully respect you know women's literature I'm about to dive into I don't think it's a majority of my own making but yes you are how many just think how many men adult grown are going to sit through this thing it's an interesting let's just say it's an interesting you know divide isn't it I think that this is entirely aimed at women young women or whatever and I think that kind of I don't know it's fine nothing against it but it's definitely not for me like yeah god yeah i mean it's not it's not like riverdale do you know i mean it's not like you're not gonna get you're not getting like an element which will kind of maybe appeal to a wider audience this knows what it is yes it knows who it's for and it doesn't try it leans so heavily into what it is that it's i like that's why i liked it i don't like things trying to be something else is there any difference between this and amazon's extensive portfolio of dadcore content it's it's It's just content that knows its audience, pitches directly to its base, and doesn't really worry about bringing other people in.

9:33And they might do. Other people will enjoy Reacher. Other people will enjoy Cross. You're right. You're right. I bet in the pitch documents, they insist on, you know, like, who is this for? And basically, when you're pitching a show to Prime Video, you still - It's just a picture of Steph at the bottom of the page. Yeah, in this case.

9:47Steph:Steph and all her teenage dreams. Yeah. They clearly go, well, this is for men. This is for men. this is for big bad strapping men when it comes to all the tom clancy bullshit while the butterfly butterfly how can we forget butterfly the masterpiece this is the butterfly of teens slash adult romance series it's so bland it's so predictable it's so uninspiring it's so routine they don't even make there isn't there aren't even any raunchy isn't any raunchy nudity people taking their shirt off it's not even the summer i turned horny like it could have been that it isn't that? It's not that, no. At least off campus had rampant good shooters nudity, right?

10:26It did, yes. Whereas this doesn't even have that. The most it says is that some bloke with his top up wandering around with his top up for no good reason, by the way.

10:32Steph:This isn't for you guys. This isn't for you. I know. Your main criticism, Boydie, of Euphoria was the relentless nature of the male gaze. I would say this show is the purest example of an exclusively female gaze from end to end. And actually, there's something quite charming about it from end to end like but it's something quite charming about it and i like i came out of the show and i was like it will be absolutely adored by the people who enjoyed this particular like so teenage girls i think will love it i think it has some charm to it i don't think it has teeth i don't think it necessarily needs teeth i think carly fortune's book was a bestseller because she knows exactly who her audience is and i think people will lap this up and i've got to be honest with you while i was watching it even though i was just like this is so cheesy and it is very formulaic but there was something compellingly sweet about it and Sadie Soverell who plays Percy obviously she played Beatrix in Fate the Wink Saga so I'm almost oh here we go predisposed to like what I'm doing yeah he's been compromised yeah I've been compromised but I thought as a you know as an example of you know a very female gaze romance it kind of ticks every box like it does kind of what you want it to do and I think its target audience will 100 % lap it up and I don't think they'll be disappointed at all.

11:50Listen

11:50Steph:there is a scene in the first episode with friendship bracelets in okay. I totally take offence. It's not that this is not good this is excellent for exactly what it is. This is absolutely for what people for what it's setting the world it is for what it's setting up to do like James says it ticks every single box. The guy's dreamy the girl's troubled but beautiful there's a dark secret they've got friendship bracelets they're not just boyfriend and girlfriend you know they're best friends it's got a fucking jetty it has a lake the jetty in the lake made it for me because it has got big dawson's creek energy there yeah there's a local eatery there is everywhere's everywhere's got those you know gorgeous lights outside yeah i'd love to go to what these american towns where they just have ferry lights out all year round just yeah yeah it's the most idyllic kind of rural americana location you could possibly imagine what's it called like barry's bay or something yeah barry's bay it's barry's bay it's got all the it's got all the scenes you want you know like well she's she she her hands are lingering on surfaces and while they linger there she catches the memory of a of a love gone by it's wonderful the amount of wistful reminiscences in this is quite extraordinary yeah they could have cut half of those whistle reminiscences out it was too i i don't i can't agree i don't i think it's fine And you're right, it ticks all the boxes.

13:17But I think, you know, in any formulaic genre like this, there's room for something more. You know, there's room for some wit or, you know, it just feels like Dawson's Creek. Let's go back to the OG, right? The reason Dawson's Creek became a phenomenon wasn't because it gave you all of those elements you just listed about this show. It's because actually the dialogue was quite funny and charming and lots of pop culture references. And it was quite daring for its time, Dawson's Creek. It was different, whereas this is not different. This is just ladled on the same, you know, kind of with nothing particularly special about it.

13:56That's my only complaint. I just think they could, when you make this kind of show, you could do better, I think.

14:01Steph:But this is a limited series. Dawson's Creek was never designed, from what I understand, to be a limited series. I think you've got, this is based on the novel, okay? so this is just telling the exact story really verbatim of the novel i i don't think it's a fair comparison to dawson's creek it's like or even like i love the oc um one of mine and k roberto's favorites but yeah you're right yeah that there was the the narrative in that is come is come and the driving force is completely different in that um this this is a one note story it's it's are they going to get back together or not? That's what this is about.

14:39Steph:Yes, they are. Can they overcome, can he overcome the betrayal? And what is the betrayal? Right, that's what this is. And it does make you want to watch. I'm just thinking of the author, Carly Fortune's oeuvre. Every summer after it came out in 2022, when she was only 38, by the way, then followed by one golden summer, meet me at the lake this summer will be different not really I bet it won't I hear your snootiness do not cast aspersions do you know what I'm going to do Boydie I'm going to play devil's advocate here and I'm going to refer you to some of the titles of Lee Child's book Persuader The Enemy One Shot The Hard Way Nothing to Lose and I will put it to you that this series this first series is no lowering quality than the third season of Reacher.

15:35And it does exactly the same thing for a different audience. Because it doesn't need to be good. It doesn't need to be good. Because season three of Reacher is not good on any level. But I enjoyed it for what it was. Because it knew who I was when I came in. It knew what I wanted. It gave me what I wanted. It didn't pretend that it was high quality. And I think this show does the same thing. It knows what its audience want. It gives them exactly what they want. It services them and off they go. And it's much the same thing. but I think there's maybe less general acceptance for bad romance than there is for bad action thrillers.

16:07No, no, no. I'm not going to fall into that trap. That is, you know... I don't like any of those. You're the one who likes the mediocre Tom Clancy thing. I do. I really do. I absolutely reject those as well. I reject formulaic bullshit. You didn't watch both seasons of The Terminal List and I did. Exactly. I did watch Butterfly. Anyway, yeah, I condemn those as well. It's just, I'm not, it doesn't make me angry or I'm not, you know, it just could do better for me. This just could be done better. If everyone sat down and worked a bit harder.

16:37Steph:Boy, can I ask you a question, right? Tell me the truth, right? Tell me the truth. Yeah. Is there any part of you that wants to know what the portrayal was? I mean, I know what the portrayal was because I'm a sentient human being. Okay, another question. Is there any part of you that really wants to know if they get together in the end. Again, you know. What? That's my point. It's such a formula. Because those are the two driving forces behind watching this show. This is what's going to happen. You're going to be on holiday this year. Let's be honest, it'll be to New York. When you go on holiday to New York next, I'm going to buy you a copy of Every Summer After by Carly Fortune, and you're going to read it on the plane.

17:20Oh, wow. I look forward to that. I mean, you know what even annoyed me? My level of enmity towards the show slightly increased. I even find the fact that she's called Percy intrinsically annoying. What? It's like, why is she called Percy? Oh, you know what? Because they have to, because like the Sunrise Sound Pretty, she's called Belly. They always have to have like a nice, like fun nickname. Exactly. They have a fun nickname. Or Taggy from Rivals. Like it goes around. Oh my God. Rivals is like a masterpiece. Can they do this?

17:50Steph:Oh, okay. All right. Okay, fine. Just letting you know that Jeremy Clark's in a six foot five as well. You know what I like to say? Oh my God. He really is a giant. He is a giant of a man. How did he fit in all those cars? Who knows? The only thing we learned in the hour of every year after is that Jeremy Clarkson is a huge giant. It's true. I did learn that. Every year after then, which is available now, I want to say, on Prime Video. Is it available now? Yes. It is. Okay. Watch it and judge for yourself. Is it dropping all at once? It is. It is. All in one go, so you can find out what the betrayal was on day one.

18:26and then and then at boydy and tell him because he wants to know

18:34fantastic okay now that that's out the way it's time for the post bag

18:47all right let's see what we can get through on this week's post bag uh we have a message here from guy and guy wishes to correct some egregious bond injustices guy says all right i know james bond isn't strictly tv but two 007 adjacent topics on the last pilot prompt me to email firstly steph skyfall is not a good bond film the according to steph best bond villain ever has an incredibly convoluted scheme to accomplish something so banal uh humiliate and then kill a pensioner that the only thing more risable is that bond entirely fails to stop this from happening also his second point sir roger moore claimed to have invented the magnum apparently he sat next to the chairman of walls at wimbledon subsequently thought a choc ice would be easier to eat if it were on a stick wrote a letter to his new friend was ignored and was subsequently disgruntled when the magnum appeared in the shops the following summer i will address both of these points uh let's start with your you you have right reply steph on the skyfall i'm just gonna say okay

20:00Steph:skyfall okay guy you're wrong skyfall is absolutely okay maybe it might not be your best but it's 100 top three of all bond films and i put it to you that if skyfall ever comes on the television everyone watches it like you watch you just watch it because it's such a great film and even if you don't like bond skyfall is an amazing film that you can watch in isolation without knowing anything else about bond okay um and so did they take umbrage with me with my villain i think everything to do with skyfall it seems guy did not appreciate wow guy um i agree with you steph i think skyfall is a great bond film because i love daniel craig's bond films and it is either the best or second best it's either that or casino royale they're both fucking brilliant Javier Bardem as Raoul Silver, when he removes his false teeth, that is one of my favourite Bond scenes of all time.

20:57Steph:It is absolutely incredible. So, Guy, you know, why don't you write back and you tell me what you think the best Bond villain and the best James Bond film is, and then we'll have this little tête -à-tête going, okay? Thank you. That is all. Goodbye. Wow There is a Sorry just to say There is a school of thought To which this correspondent I'm sure Is part of That thinks that Skyfall Is not good And is overrated And I don't agree I completely agree with you I think it's brilliant I love it But there's a whole Like slightly Picky You know Like old school Bond fans Who think it's a bit of a Like Who think it's a bit of a Betrayal for Moronic reasons To be honest But I remember when it came out There was a lot of flack It got from A certain segment Of the Bond Fandom community based on what what what based on what bullshit reasons i can't i can't even remember the details now but just like the i guess there's an overall overarching implausibility to the whole story i mean that's bond as a whole exactly that's some of them try to claim that it's not bond as a whole and that you know certain episodes are more plausible that i think it's it's nonsense yeah yeah it's not it's bond as a whole yeah uh yes and also on the roger moore thing i believe that has been discredited as an urban legend there is some evidence that he certainly said it in an interview but we can't 100 say that roger moore did in fact invent the magnum maybe he did i don't think the truth will ever be known also i'm just gonna say i'm pretty sure that the magnum like i eat a lot of chocolate and i'm pretty sure do you remember the magnum wasn't always the magnum it was actually called the dove bar do you remember that i thought those were two separate things I thought they were different, yeah.

22:35No, I don't think so. I mean, you are the confectionery expert, but I thought they were two separate things.

22:39Steph:I'm going to just double check that. Who invented the... Steph's going to find out. I'm going to do a number crunch. John wishes to upbraid me for an error, which I do unfortunately have to cop to, and he says, I hate to be the I think you'll find guy, especially after James resisted the temptation to be so with Emilia Clarke, but I feel I should mention that James said on last week's Pilot Plus that the famously out gay woman, Sarah Paulson, was married to Game of Thrones showrunner David Benioff. I think you'll find he meant Amanda Peet. You are absolutely right, John. I 100 % did. What I meant to say was, what I meant to say was that Pedro Pascal called his friend Sarah Paulson, who he has known for a very long time, and she spoke to Amanda Peet, who is in fact married to David Benioff.

23:22You're right. That was an egregious error, for which I can only apologise to both Sarah Paulson and Amanda Peet. So there we go. Boyly.

23:30Steph:Sorry, sorry. this is important the Magnum Ice Cream was developed in the late 1980s by Morgans V Larson the technical director of Danish ice cream maker Frisco I'm going to get back to you on the dove thing go on Boyd noted this is from Rachel Rachel says hi team Rival Season 2 Part 2 isn't returning until all caps November has any show ever had such a long break within one season do you think episode 6 was absolutely fantastic all the awards to Claire Rushbrook and DT would love a mid-season spoilery chat, which is something, Boydie, I believe you suggested only this morning. I did, yeah. There's a lot of chatter about episode six, which was phenomenal.

24:12And I would very happily do that. Unfortunately, neither Steph nor James watch rivals like they should be doing because they've been distracted by some stupid Western thing that goes on for 50 episodes. We'll get into that. Yeah. But I too am bewildered by this, by the fact they've been split. this i was told as i often i mentioned time and time again it was down to the world cup the world cup finishes in the middle of july they could have come back to it but that now there's a massive massive gap till november it seems perverse i don't know whether it's because so there are 12 episodes in total which makes it a longer season but it's almost becomes a third season doesn't it once you have that big a gap i mean so horses have less of a gap between seasons two and three or whatever it was so i am generally furious as i think most fans are of rivals that it's not coming back till november that it's it seems it seems horribly cynical to me i don't even know if it's cynical i just like i worry the people it will peter it'll have petered out you know the the excitement about it i don't know i mean it's such a good show that they could probably you know a 10-year gap between series and i'll still happily watch it but it feels like an unnecessary um gap Well, when Kay gets back from holiday, you and her can do an impromptu spoiler special for the first half of Various Season 2.

25:27She's already committed to that, so yeah. Excellent. Oh, has she? Oh, good.

25:31Steph:Oh, good. Good, good, good. Stephen says, I recently read James' preview of Silo Season 3, this was in Empire Magazine, and shivered when I read there would be a temporary amnesia storyline. This is one of my most hated tropes in television. What are the worst examples? For my money, Terry in season one of 24 is up there. On that note, 24 is absolutely worth a rewatch, especially the first three seasons. Thank you, Stephen. Yes, the Terry amnesia one is genuinely awful. And I would agree that amnesia tropes are dreadful in television. And they do strike me often as lazy writing. I will say there's a lot more to the silo one.

26:11It is not like she's had a bump on the head. There's a whole thing going on there. And it's integral to the storyline in the books. and it's a broader theme, I would say. I would say the theme of this whole third season is memory as a whole. So, yeah, it's vital to that. But how do you two feel, or have you forgotten?

26:28Steph:Oh, no. Very good. You know how in The Fall, Jamie Dornan's character, he gets temporary amnesia, but it's just so he can get away with having murdered all those people, all those women, do you remember? It's a reasonable excuse, I guess. there was actually a show called amnesia wasn't there um with john hannah yeah 2004 um i seem to remember it was quite bad um but that may be unfair i was created by chris lang in fact of um unforgotten fame it probably wasn't bad then it was probably good it was probably really good yeah but i can't remember the details of the amnesia involved the irony of this conversation do you remember do you remember the tv show blind spot yes which had yes jane doe who had tattoos all over to figure it out right she has to figure out her history basically it's basically poor man's memento is essentially what it was it was so good that show yeah but again entirely based on the idea of amnesia and actually works very well memento of course one of christopher nolan's best all about amnesia works brilliantly it's the whole device of the of the film so amnesia can work if it's done well it's not always you know terrible and there is uh there is a show and i can't remember what it's called but there's a uh i know it's the irony that i can't remember the title but there is a show it's about an fbi agent who gets abducted for ages and then comes back and when she comes back she has amnesia it's one of these ridiculous shows that has like a one-word title and it's uh entirely yeah it's a one-word title and it's incredibly generic and I can't remember what it was but but that that I've enjoyed that I watched both seasons of that and it was great I like the tagline for the show I'm obsessed with the show now I'm gonna have to check it out amnesia the tagline is some things are better left forgotten there you go nice is of course a show about amnesia really isn't it yeah yeah yeah well yeah kind of yeah I suppose though like enforced amnesia amnesia did i say amnesia that's not right is it amnesia in fact isn't the oa built around doesn't when prairie comes back doesn't she have amnesia she because when we isn't the way the device works that she's she returns after having been gone for seven years and she's piecing together what happened to her that's right yeah yeah absolutely yeah okay so you know so what we're saying is amnesia is great yeah bring amnesia all is forgiven yeah all is forgiven we've remembered why we like it okay and i'm just going to interject to say that dove bars are completely different to magnum bars okay thank you clearing that up for us uh this comes from phil phil says i'm a complex man who contains multitudes i love foundation and the oa etc but i must confess i loved euphoria season three no sydney sweeney is a goddess a marilyn monroe for the instagram generation steady what's not to love just one issue i had i don't know about the male gaze every minute i loved it i could feel boyd's gaze looking on disapprovingly and judging me he's judging you he's absolutely judging you i've had a few people telling me that i'm wrong about um but uh about euphoria but i'm sorry yeah i actually thought the the excruciating 90 minute finale was was one of the worst episodes so we shall have to differ perhaps you shall we have one here from Asif and Asif says I hope Boyd and Steph do a spoiler chat for Widows Bay this stupendous show every week it gets better episode 8 was sublime and this was some funny shit with the excellent Kate O 'Flynn centred episode can't wait for the final two episodes and do you have any insight if they will do a season 2 possibly with an anthology type set up I think I read the other day they were thinking about there was going to be a season two.

30:18Steph:Let's number crunch that. But they definitely should. They definitely should. They definitely will. They definitely will. It's done well. It has been received by all right-minded people. As I said from the beginning, it is genius. It's a great show. I've always liked it. James, please go back and watch it. Taking part in the spoiler special that we do. It is on my list. Once I get off the Dutton Rubs, I will return to it. How long is that going to take? I mean not as long as you would think but we'll find out about that later in the show you better not have watched anymore because you're going to be in massive trouble if you have we will find out we will find out what happened speaking of which I should say we have a message here from Amar and Amar says hey bunkhouse I think the same to me and you guys I hope you're well howdy howdy this is a question slash feedback but are you seriously going to go through the whole of Yellowstone for the next few weeks the voice of reason yeah he says i watched yellow zone i liked it but not enough that i want to listen to it and have it bleed into the regular pod also i mean if others are feeding back that they like it then do ignore me so what's been our what's been the feedback james should we just stop now should we stop now no no privately text message each other about that's it what what this is this is the definition of this is a podcast that could have been a whatsapp group there's gonna be just me and you having support tests bouncing forward as we watch this but no We've decided to air our dirty laundry and make it very public.

31:44Steph:We could just start sending each other voice notes about it. Yeah, we could do that. It would probably be a better way of dealing with this. But I'm saying we've done it this far, we're going to press on to the end of this point. Where are you up to now? We can't say. You'll find out very shortly when we get to the Yellowstone roundup. But certainly let's just say season three for this week. But Amar continues with an idea to go with his criticism. One idea for Pilot Plus is maybe a wrap-up where listeners write in about thoughts on shows that have finished and have been previously reviewed and the gang can comment e.g your friends and neighbours finishes this week or dear England but you do it in a spoiler context and what warn people beforehand um I'm not sure how we'd work the logistics of that but I would absolutely welcome people to send in their finale thoughts when a show finishes uh I would definitely like to hear that and then maybe we can read some of them out on the show under strictly uh ring-fenced spoiler conditions uh I think we can do that right well before we head on to the yellowstone roundup which is next on the list uh we're going to do one last message and this one comes from kirsty and kirsty says long time listener and subscriber here i'm writing what i think is a very important tv emergency in a few weeks i'm having all of my wisdom teeth taken out which means i'll be spending a few days recovering looking like a hamster eating liquid food and being unable to do much other than sit on the sofa naturally i'm choosing to see this as a rare and glorious opportunity to make a serious dent in my watch list so my question is with a sofa list as long as james's what would the pod team recommend i binge over two to three days when i'm mildly swollen possibly a bit grumpy and in need of excellent television currently on my list are yellowstone thanks to stephan james widow's bay half man paradise smoke task the diplomat and the studio i'm also very open to anything else you think would be the perfect recovery binge for context things i've recently watched and enjoyed include believe me legends amanda land the cage saturday night live the capture hijack puribus and under salt marsh please help me turn dental misery into peak sofa time okay firstly i'm going to say Kirsty, that sounds horrendous.

33:54Steph:And also I'm going to applaud your excellent taste in shows. And thirdly, I just want to say that you having your wisdom teeth out reminds me of that scene in Colin from Accounts where she has her wisdom teeth out, but she's at that wedding, do you remember? And her face, and she was like a hamster, bless her heart. And I'm scared for you about that. That is a great question, which I think you've sort of answered yourself. I am going to say, because I'm in the midst of it, Yellowstone. And I would also say, if you want something, the other show which i mention all the time and i don't know whether you've watched is damages because that is a binge watch so you could watch damages it's a little it's dark but those would be my two i would i would say yellowstone 100 because i'm just enjoying it so much and boyd's obviously gonna say every year after but i will just say yellowstone no i'm gonna say more recently I'm going to say two weeks in August which is yeah still ongoing on BBC One Saturday night it's really good fun it's a little stressful a little stressful for you yeah but I think I don't think I don't think I think it's more fun than it is most people consider it it's yeah marital shenanigans and bickering and arguing goes on it is a stressful situation they end up in I think every year after would be more soothing but in her list in the read there was some you know spikier show so i think it's in this in its own strange way an escapist thing because you're watching stupid people having a bad time on holiday i don't know anyway i don't think you mentioned um rivals on that list no which case yes i'd say give rivals a go for sure that that will ensnare you quite quickly i think i think pick something like yellowstone that has a lot of seasons because then if you're enjoying it you can absolutely wallow in it and just like transport yourself to another place which if you're in a lot of pain and hopped up on painkillers is probably not a bad thing but you know who knows what about shrinking did they meant did kirstie mention shrinking i miss i feel like kirstie watches shrinking you reckon yeah i think so if not then you know why not because shrinking all three seasons watch that that's amazing that's a that's a yeah that's a ted lasso is a good shout i think something you want something soothing something that kind of feels like something like gilmore girls you know something that feels like a warm bath uh or you know as we said every year after which uh fulfills that purpose when i had my tonsillectomy remember i watched running point which which i deemed recovery tv um because you really don't have to pay attention to that at all and when you're kind of in and out of like you know sleeping that you can just pick up you know what if she has prime video she could do a ping pong dad core teen core double bill and watch like all three seasons of reacher interspersed with every year after so you get both both angles covered i want someone else to watch all of Damages though so they can we can bring it back and talk about how brilliant it is so Kirsty just you make the decision Kirsty you make the decision watch Damages just for Steph and then you can join a WhatsApp group with Steph and talk to her about it on there I'm so horrified that we really should have turned our Dutch brunch into a WhatsApp group yeah we absolutely should have done in retrospect we've made a terrible mistake I'm so sorry Emma I'm so sorry all of us that doesn't mean we're going to stop no clearly not clearly we've committed to this path we're going to see it through i've made a list of points for us to discuss so we can't well i think it's time boydy i think it's time strap in strap in corral the horses bring the steers home because it is time for james and steph's yellowstone roundup okay it is that time of the episode the time that some of you love and some of you, let's be honest, hate, but we're going to do it anyway.

37:39It is James and Steph's Yellowstone Roundup, aka Pilot TV, Dutton Brunch, whatever you want to call it. Thank you. Now, now, now, Steph and I have not confirmed. We have not spoken. We do not know what has happened. Steph is, of course, the great betrayer. And as we know from last week's installment of this particular soap opera, Steph had watched ahead. Despite being confined to season two, she had watched half of season three, which meant she only had half of season three to watch this week so Steph the question I'm going to ask now is and I can almost I can almost detect what's going to happen from the look on your guilty face how much of Yellowstone have you watched in the past seven days how big is your betrayal okay um firstly I can't believe

38:19Steph:people hate this why would they hate this this is great us catching up with something that's like seven years old however many years old we're always on the pulse right okay I'm going to be honest with you because I can't lie to that beautiful face right and I'll talk about I'll talk about this now when you watch the season three finale it is I I'm gonna say it's completely impossible not to watch episode one of season four because you really need to find out what happens okay so James I did watch the first episode of season four and then I stopped there I promise you you stopped after the first one of season four because i didn't oh you didn't that's more than i did because i watched all season four so oh my god you shit i would have watched the whole of season four i was like i can't do it again i cannot do this to him again i can't oh my god the things in store for you stephan season four i can't even tell you james i am gonna finish this by next i'm gonna finish this by next tuesday i am honestly i will see you next tuesday my friend i bet you will oh my god yeah i watched all the season four that's right that's right don't don't bring a don't bring a i was about to say a lasso to a knife fight or something i don't know whatever some kind of equestrian cowboy metaphor i i mainlined all of season three and all of season four since we recorded the last one of these and it nearly killed me i finished the season four finale this morning i got up early to watch it so that i'd seen it before the show just so that i could put on this particular smug face we are the worst we cannot trust each other no we can't we cannot oh my god but you know what it just speaks to the addictiveness of this show it's so addictive okay well you can't talk about we can't talk about any season four okay part of me was almost hoping that you just completely got ahead of watching all season four so then this could have been a seasons three and four edition but what i'm going to say is because let's just say to satisfy the people who are honestly sick to death of us talking about yellowstone we will talk season three this week and then next week we will do four and five so we will we will finish next week we're going to finish the yellowstone roundup completely the hell will soon be over people the hell will soon be over okay so i have literally written down my discussion points for season three based on the fact that i was like right don't talk about because i knew you know i know what happens in the first episode obviously now you know what happens in series so i'm going to bring up the discussion points okay and you're going to have to try and forget what you know about the rest of season four right do my best so season three for me is absolutely this is a killer season this has been my favorite season so far because there's so many revelations i'm just going to list some of them right okay you finally find out why beth has got such deep-seated hatred for jamie yes and now we all do wow jamie is a massive shit i'm gonna i'm gonna list them and then we can talk about them individually hang on that's an insane approach to this let's talk about them as you this is deranged but yes we should mention that this incident where beth for reasons unknown goes to Jamie, her big brother, when she gets pregnant, when she's, I don't know, what is she, 14, 15?

41:35It's hard to tell.

41:36Steph:Yeah. I think she's young and she's like, you know, rips come to the ranch and, you know, like they're having this gorgeous teen romance and then she finds herself in, you know, the family way. In the family way. But you've got to remember, she goes to Jamie because at that point, she doesn't have any hatred for him and he's the brother who can, he's that older brother who can sort things out and I think you know that that's what I would have done if you're her if you're in Beth's mind at that point of course you go to him because he can get things done and obviously he does but he's a fucking awful evil piece of shit and and takes her to that terrible that place and they explained him okay if she has this procedure she hasn't has an abortion she's you know one of the conditions of having it at that clinic is that sterilization and he immediately goes that's fine and then you doesn't tell her doesn't tell her crucially doesn't explain it to her and then later on you find out that it's not just sterilization like she has a hysterectomy they completely remove her womb um and it's just oh god and then everything you know about beth you're like well of course yes this all makes a certain amount of sense now why she hates him yeah he eternal damnation for jamie and jamie shows no level of remorse and even the fact that in previous episodes she's asking him she's like he's asking her oh what is it why do you hate me so much and he couldn't he can't possibly think that that's the reason why i'd be fascinated to know how much this was retconned in because obviously we've went until season three for this revelation i wonder if taylor sheridan had even thought of this when he was writing why she was so awful to him the previous seasons i don't know i've not read an interview with them on it but uh well i i watched an interview because all i do in my spare time now is watch interviews with kelly riley i watched an interview with her the other day where she talked about her audition for beth and she said the reason she was she she was able to do the audition well is because taylor had told her everything about beth and beth's entire backstory so i wonder yeah okay so maybe it was baked in from the beginning yeah i think he i think he had put those layers in because it's that is central to her to her outlook on life everything about her is centered in this terrible tragic thing that happened to her and this this betrayal by her brother that this betrayal of trust and that is why she cannot trust anyone she only trusts rip but um yeah so that's amazing the return of walker okay yes so oh my god i I thought we'd see that they've had to put the return of Walker because it shows that Casey has some, there's some vulnerability in Casey in terms of he's not rip.

44:23Steph:He won't just kill. And he gets that great line about the fact that he has killed, but he has never murdered anyone, which I think is a great distinction between Casey. And like I always say, he's very, he's, all of his, all of his kills, they're very Dexter. You know, most of them are very, you know, he's killing for a reason. Okay. Monica. The setup, so there's a woman, there's an indigenous murder, it's absolutely horrific. I would say all credit to Taylor Sheridan for shining a light on something that's a very, very real issue. Then Monica gets involved and is going to become this kind of spokeswoman and front this sort of campaign.

45:02Steph:Then they do a setup to see if they can weed out to show how commonplace this is. if you have an indigenous woman by the road, she will, you know, she'll get picked up and she may get murdered or assaulted. And that is absolutely amazing, that scene. And so she does get picked up and somebody attempts to assault her and then they kill that person. And that's amazing. That whole sort of having monarchy, it's an interesting idea because obviously weirdly it brings her and Casey, I think, closer together. She's just, oh yeah, I killed someone today as well. Honey, how was your day? Which was an interesting wrinkle, I think, for their relationship.

45:38but it has to be said like and i said this earlier on i'm going to double down on this now i cannot in good conscience tell you that this is a good show because it's such nonsense it's really addictive i'm really enjoying it but it is basically i said this was brothers and sisters with cows it's not at all it's coronation street with cows like it's it's a hundred percent soap

45:58Steph:opera with a beautiful landscape you take that back it's true you know it's true no you are being so dismissive. This has got so many layers. This has got so many layers. I think that's a really, really clever and important thing to bring a subject like that to the fore. I'm so impressed with Taylor Sheridan. And if you say Coronation Street one more time, I don't even want to think about what I'm going to do. Okay, fair enough. Okay. Jamie finds out he's adopted. I mean, if we're talking so popular. Oh God. That was not the best point to bring up. That was quite the segue. It's like Jamie finds out he's adopted because of course he does.

46:41Steph:I mean, I had my suspicions he was adopted from the beginning. You know, even when Beth says to her dad, he says, can you really say, you know, I think it was in season two, she says, can you really tell me that you love him in the same way you love me and Casey? And I kind of had that idea. And just because he kind of is just such an arsehole. like you just can't believe that they wouldn't have instilled him with something else but obviously he was adopted when he was three months old i don't i don't know but then he meets his dad played by will pattern which is a master stroke of casting i love that his dad's will pattern so much can we talk about will pattern for a second here and indeed kevin costner now this is something that will come up more in season four but it is not a plot boiler because did i mention steph that i've seen uh all of season four including the end of the game anyway there's a point where someone references kevin costner and refers to him as a man in his 50s uh your honor your honor kevin costner is 70 years old wow what are you talking about will pattern is 71 years old and yet at various points to be fair i think kevin costner is always supposed to be in his early 60s and there's a bit where will pattern refers to himself as being 61 years old i'm so sorry you are not 61 you are a decade older than that you don't even look close to 61 what are you doing james james in this life and especially in montana you get the face you deserve okay yeah it really is okay so yeah i love will pattern binning i really like that new dynamic then josh holloway comes in as rourke morris who's this horrendous hedge fund manager and what a great addition as well.

48:20Steph:I mean, you know, you know what happens to him and I know what happens to him. I do know what happens to Rourke, yes. And then we also get another antagonist, Wade, who was previously of this parish, Dutton, Dutton, Yellowstone, Dutton Ranch, and has got a big betrayal. But I really loved, it was such a little thing, but I love the whole Kevin Costner saying throughout, he's got something that belongs to me and I want it back. And then he kept saying to him, you have something that belongs to me and then I want it back. And it just turns out to be the branding which walker then cuts out of his skin yeah as they do on coronation street regularly that's absolutely true uh yeah that was mad i do you know what the thing that shot me was when wade and his son trample teeter and colby in the creek i was like that's wild i thought they were both dead but then what happens is that then they have the kiss and it's so great and the way he like stitches her up after she gets the big and she says and she says you know you should have you know f-worded me when um when i had a face yeah for someone whose face is hanging off she gets a very small scar from that incident leave teeter alone um the other person that came on came on um in this season is willa hayes played by karen pitman yes oh my god i mean everything karen pitman does is brilliant she she's very much for me she feels like a very james marsden character you can put her in anything and she just fucking rolls with it and she's such a brilliant actress she's great and everything i love i love to this i mean obviously the morning show for me she's mvp but yeah her but the greatest thing to happen in this season without a doubt is beth's proposal to rip and let me just let me just say this the only thing i ask is that you Outlive me so that I never have to live another day without you.

50:14Steph:I was in my boots. I was like, oh my God, I can't cope. This is too much love. It's amazing. That for me is this, like this is this, every episode in this season has an absolutely standout scene. But yeah, I'm really excited to see season four. But obviously when we get to the finale of season three, we don't know if we're going to see anyone again because there's everybody's from all angles everybody's trying to be murdered it's a hell of a finale and people had to wait well over a year to find out how that resolved as well so that was i couldn't have coped yeah that was that was a big finale to end up because you get end up like beth's been blown up like casey has gunman coming into his office although he is a navy seal so you're not that worried about him and then you know old john gets shot like 15 times or something by the side of the road we're trying to help someone john gets john gets literally like this this is this assassination this drive-by shooting whilst he's just trying to teach a young boy to like change a tire and then casey goes out after them and then he's like then they have this massive shootout oh my god and then of course beth walks out of the burning burning building like of course she's going to know any of this in season three this is all season four does she not walk out of the burning building at the end of season three i think if memory serves you just get the explosion you don't know who's who lives or who dies i don't think you know anything at that point everything's like dang spoiler they're still alive that's not a spoiler because we know they're still alive because you know dutton ranch exists but my favorite my favorite thing about beth walking out of the building building is that the first thing she does is yeah yeah it's very funny what else did you love about this season i mean it is it is it's fascinating i read a vulture review of the third season and they said it was split roughly equally between engaging moments and infuriating idiocy which i think weirdly sums up this show as a whole i think season three is probably the strongest season to date i think it kind of coheres into something like it knows what it is at this point and again it's much more preposterous i think josh holloway's a really fun villain for this as well sitting in his river fishing for his trout um you know jimmy nearly paralysing himself at the rodeo that was a whole drama and I think the Beth abortion one, it felt again super soapy as did the adoption thing but you needed an explanation because she's so venomous towards Jamie and you don't understand it and so I think you needed something like that, you're like oh okay it now makes sense and the whole when she gets betrayed by her boss at Schwartz and Meyer you're like okay you're all dead she's going to kill you She gets all the best lines.

52:59Steph:She does get the best lines. But it's fascinating, this show, for so many reasons. But one is that there are very few likeable characters. Like, genuinely. That's not true. They are likeable, but there are very few hugely sympathetic characters. But we love them regardless. I disagree. And I think this is a really interesting dynamic, because you've got, like, all of the characters in this, and I mean pretty much all of them, are on some level reprehensible. Even if you, like, you can justify some. like beth for example is a horrendous human being but you love her regardless and you do root for her partly because she's funny partly because she's been for a whole load of shit partly because the people around her often worse than she is that's the dexter model for you again um but i find it interesting the way it manages to get you so invested in because i'd say the only pure character this might just be fucking jimmy he's maybe the only one you can legitimately morally root for well saying that you don't know what he's done this season i think you do understand i don't think they are all like massively dislikable because i think like i said and i'm going to bring up this point again you you understand the motivation behind all these characters everything that happens okay you understand why it happens because you are so you are so deeply entrenched with the emotions of these people that you're like well every time rip you know hurt somebody it feels justified oh yeah we're always on rip side yeah always on his side even though he's generally just murderizing people like yeah go for it rip that's just rip that is genius of this show that you love these people like i i genuinely have so much affection for everyone and you know and i would say again i think casey probably has the highest um body count of everyone well he has that line isn't it you'll never be a man who's killed more men than me wow and he is arguably the the the most likable the most on the surface likable yeah um dutton i would say yeah you know like he's a he's sweet you know but yes it's a low bar but he's sweet he's not he's not um angry by nature um he's he's softening towards his dad he loves his sister even jamie you know there's a great scene where jamie says um you know can i even call you brother and he he holds him in his arms and said you better not call me anything else um till the day that i die and in casey casey at his core is a huge softy he's just a beautiful person he has got a great soul and that is why he's ended up with the world's most beautiful woman monica um and you know and actually because she's got great soul but now also she's a killer i mean and you still love her it's just technically mo did the killing she just facilitated it so you know that's okay i mean she's an accessory let's put it that way all right what i find fascinating about this and i was reading an analysis of this they were talking about like that this show i remember when succession was on people used to talk about yellowstone and say it was succession for republicans which obviously it isn't because it's not it's nowhere near as as you know sharp and astute as succession is but there is something to be said for this is some sort of weird conservative fantasy series because this analysis where I was talking about it as like the season three crystallizes really what this show is about which is a seventh generation sort of ranching patriarch and his family fighting against you know the evil globalist impersonal corporate conglomerate like it's a western but instead of it being like a man in black as the villain the villain is late stage capitalism and it's just fascinating but the the core of this show is individual versus collectivism and tradition versus progressivism and you know when Dutton and I was about to say oh no that's a season four thing can't mention that well so I say Dutton there is a point where he talks about himself as the opposite of progress he is the he's the anti-progress he is what progress breaks against he's about maintaining the old way of life and like and so it is the most right-wing show imaginable and it's absolutely fascinating and it talks about you know every any mention of the word progressive is seen in a negative way you know and it's about it's about ownership and self-determination and individualism and i find that whole thing absolutely genuinely fascinating because it speaks to a whole swath of the american population who i think i think that's one of the reasons why the show was so successful because it speaks to you know a demographic that not a lot of television programming does speak to this sort of very old school american conservative thing and i do wonder why there was such a massive gap between the critical reception to yellowstone which was resoundingly at best mid at worst quite negative and the audience reception which is it was one of the biggest shows on tv when it was when it was on and i and no one really talks about it like the discourse about yellowstone even we on this podcast were quite dismissive oh it's a fucking another yellowstone but lots of people do give a shit yeah i mean i think for me if you can if you can kind of put any politics aside and really see this on a basic level this is kind of a character-driven narrative a reimagining of a western genre and that is enough for me right that's enough for me to keep this so this level of enjoyment um it's so well cast it's just yes of course you can look deeper and deeper and deeper and there are lines and john dutton at some point says to, you know, it says to a group of tourists who are saying it's wrong.

58:28Steph:Not one man should own this land. And he says, this is, this is fucking America. You can, you can do what you want. Yes. You know, so the political undertones, they're not even undertones. They're political overtones, actually. No, it's Republican propaganda is what it says. Yeah. But also there's another amazing scene, which I haven't mentioned, which is probably the fucking darkest uh in terms of you know kind of i don't know i don't know what i think it positions john dutton in an all as an all-powerful figure and it is when some bikers um attempts come back seek revenge on land that they know is owned by him and they are they they're they're going to set it alight and then he is actually sitting on the land on his land and he and he's calmly saying were you what would you do if you were me and the guy says I'd kill you and then all the lights come up everyone's got their guns out and they make these men dig their own graves and it's such a fucking badass move you're like like it's just even on just a really just a really basic level of entertainment which I think is for what I how I'm watching this how I'm watching this yes I also I do really enjoy the indigenous storylines I love those Such as they are.

59:46Steph:Yeah, yeah. They have been sort of much more marginalised, I think, as the show's gone on. Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. But there is something there. Taylor Sheridan is trying to do something with that, which I appreciate. But yeah, of course, look, you can analyse this to death, couldn't you? But from the perspective which I think you and I are watching this, which is fucking, we're on the roller coaster. This is purely entertaining for us. Oh, my God, Beth's an absolute badass. Oh, my God, John Dutton's correct. You know, all of that. this is a such a win this is such a great place to be it's so entertaining it's so propulsive we're both like completely caught up in this world and we're so addicted we're lying to each other like we're literally like yeah don't watch this okay i won't you he you let's just say you sent me a message which said i hereby give you a yellowstone injunction which i stood by and you fucking didn't the irony is when i sent that i was just watching the finale of season three and i instantly went straight into season four because i was like no unfortunately steph you broke the promise last week so it doesn't count exactly we're this is what like on a very basic level we are acting like the characters we've gone full button it's true but yeah but i i can completely forgive you because when i watched the finale of season three there was no choice but to find out i fully understand that and i i had the same thing because at one point i was like yeah maybe i'll stop here and i went nope that's not happening no way because it's impossible it's the only thing i I will say is that I do think I've gone a bit funny.

1:01:15Because I've watched 20 episodes in the past week, in addition to all the other stuff we've had to get through. I genuinely, God's point where, every time I close my eyes, I see cows and horses. And I was like, I don't want to get a Stetson. I genuinely, I feel like going full city slickers and getting a holiday where I just have to kind of drive cattle across pastures in Montana.

1:01:35Steph:Okay, 100 % we both need to learn how to horse ride, okay? the other day i literally bought myself two tops and i swear to god when i bought them i was like and i rarely ever buy clothes i'm like in a live in a hoodie or something denim right and i was like oh my god i'm i'm buying for best i was like this there's like there's flowers on this top and they would definitely go with cowboy boots what is happening to me if anyone from paramount plus is listening and you want to train me and steph to be cowboys do get in touch yeah we'll do it We'll absolutely do it. Okay, that is the end of our Yellowstone Roundup for Season 3 and a little bit of Season 4.

1:02:13Next week, we're going to press on for the finish line, aren't we, Steph? Next week, we're going to try and do Seasons 4 and 5. Do you think you can do it? Can you rise to the challenge?

1:02:21Steph:I think I can do it. Okay, okay. I'm giving you free reign to gallop for the finish line and develop the last two seasons. I'm so excited. To be fair, it's worth bearing in mind, Season 5 is a long one. I think it's like 15 episodes. so see how you get on let's see how we get on I'll report back midweek yeah okay good well we'll look forward to it that is it then for this Yellowstone Roundup for those of you enjoying this particular side quest I hope you had fun with that for those of you who absolutely hate it all I can tell you is you know tough well you know what though I was going to say to you I was going to message you in the week saying I really think we need to do another episode which is like Rip's top 10 scenes of the whole series is and you could just keep this going next episode top 10 scenes we could just go on it should be the yellowstone corner forever and ever but then i think everyone would just unsubscribe yeah that's uh yeah okay right that is it for this week's show please do join us on the regular podcast on monday when we will have javier bardem on talking about cape fear and we will be doing house of the dragon and the light in the hall colon that still waters on channel four uh it's a quiet week because uh it's the world cup but that's okay because there are dragons and we will watch them not the same as horses has stuff and you know it's not yellowstone but no it's no regardless regardless anyway pilot out
