In short
Pitchside’s 2025 end-of-year awards segment is followed by a full Premier League “final table 1–20” predictions debate, plus a “who should each club buy?” round where hosts name one target per team.
Guests/backgrounds
Reeve, Thea Baker, and Tom Garrett are the regular hosts of Pitchside. The episode is mostly their panel discussion; no external guests are introduced in the transcript.
Key claims (table predictions)
Multiple conflicting 1–20 forecasts are argued. Common themes: the league is “tight”; Arsenal and Man City are top contenders; Liverpool/Chelsea/Villa are debated for top-four; relegation battles center on Wolves, Burnley, West Ham, Leeds, Nottingham Forest, and Fulham. A major argument is Tottenham’s poor home form under Thomas Frank, with debate over whether January signings and money can fix it. Another recurring claim is that Bournemouth will “turn it around” despite a slump and potential player departures.
Notable examples
Thomas Frank at Spurs (home form: only one PL win since late October, away form better). Bournemouth’s slump and Semenyo transfer speculation. Arsenal title talk tied to Gabriel’s return. Transfer-window targets mentioned include Semenyo (linked to Liverpool) and Dan Byrne (referenced as listening to the show).

Maybe right. In 20th, I have... No, don't say it. Burnley. What? Wow. He's gone crazy, Maud. No, Wolves. 19th, Burnley. 18th West Ham The Hammers You changed your A week away I just think Leeds are just The Irons That's very fickle of you I just think Is it Nah To be fair Is it fickle or not fickle Is the word I'm talking about Fickle is the reactionary Reactionary I just I think Beyond my gossip Yeah but it is It doesn't make sense To be reactionary After they've just beat A good Palace side football It's not even that It's just I think What we've seen over the last few weeks In Leeds They've really They're just They've got a lot of fighting them.
2:58I do actually agree with you. I don't think West Ham have a lot of fighting them. I do actually agree with you. And also, apparently they lose from full Krug to AC Milan. Oh, no! How's he getting a move to AC Milan? He's shit! He's got the best agent in world football. And do you know, do you know another thing which I think is really key is how, because I always think how it is in the stands translates to the pitch often, which I think you've seen that at West Ham, how toxic it is at the minute. Whereas Leeds, it's, they're all behind the lads. So Leeds 17th, 16th Fulham, 15th Forest, Stavrist, 14th Bournemouth, 13th Brentford, 12th.
3:32Is it Bournemouth are going to sort of like have another drop off again? Well, they're about 14th now. Yeah, but... If they lose Semenya. Yeah. Someone's got to be in and around that area. Yeah, that's true. Someone has. 13th Brentford, 12th I've got Spurs, 11th I've got Palace. Do you think Frank keeps his job if they finish third? I think he keeps his job, that's why they'll finish 12th. Interesting. Because he's shit. 11th Palace 10th Brighton 9th Everton 8th Sunderland I think they're going to maintain it 7th United 6th Newcastle 5th Chelsea I don't think it's crazy We were 12th last year at Christmas you realise It's a tighter league this year 5th I've got Chelsea 4th Liverpool 3rd Villa just the gap's too big so the whole they're like seven points clear they are actually I don't know what to do say you love them I really I really wanted to put them fourth but I don't trust Liverpool or Chelsea I was in the same I really don't Wolves stay up Villa miss out on Champions any European football or Wolves go down and Villa get Champions League football Wolves go down Villa get Champions League football I've dealt with Villa in the Champions League before.
4:58I want to play the Wolves next year. Second... He's going to say us anyway. It's fine. City. Really? First... The Oracle Spoker, guys. Wow. I honestly didn't see that coming. I swear we could go and say we're going to bottle it again. Yeah, it was funny, isn't it? I just think... I don't think City have got enough and I just... They got long. I don't think it's enough. I think I've... Even at the weekend, The last two games You've been so shit And still won Not last two Arsenal have Did you play after Wolves We haven't Oh is it Yeah The last two games You've been so bad Yeah we played Champions League And we won And you've just won I just think 3-0 I just think I think if City play like that At Everton They might not win I get what you're saying there I think you I just I don't know I think I'm glad it's not You're not going to run away with it Yeah it's going to be tight Like it looks like Pardon Very tight Really fed But I just think you're too good It's a shit league By the way An arse full of crap It'll be the worst league Yeah To win Would it?
6:02Yeah So annoying Honestly it's quite fit That arse will win it on this year Yeah It's kind of like It wouldn't be worth celebrating Right It would actually count Yeah it doesn't really count It's kind of It's kind of pathetic The Liverpool one count last year Yeah Oh yeah that was a good one Yeah they were great Yeah I thought so I thought about their asterisk season Nah that's good Nah that's all good Just you Just our one Go on, Rave 20th I have Wolverhampton Wanderers Wanky, wanky, wanky, wanky Wanderers Brackers Brackers breaking the record You're on a copy with a straw I think I reckon Is it a matchup?
6:38I think or I reckon Therefore I am 19th Burnley I didn't really want to say this But I'm trying to keep consistent From my opinions last week So 18th I have Forrest Because I did say We did our three down Do you think that Or are you just trying to be like I'm not changing my opinion Nah Something's different Is going to happen So I'll just go Put him down there You don't think Forrest will go down I think it's probably West Ham But I'm going to say Why would you not Why would you not Change your opinion I said last week Leeds will go down Now I don't think They will So I've put Leeds I haven't even thought I didn't even Can't be able to do it If we all say the same For it's boring It's more boring You lying about your opinion You're a liar Yeah You're lying I'm calling you a truther Fuck it A 17-18 doesn't really matter You don't Forrest aren't going to go down You're just saying things To clips mate You're clip farming.
7:22Oh. I don't think that's the opposite. 17th, I have written West Ham. So there you go. 16th, Leeds. 15th, Fulham. 16th, Leeds. You think they're... Wow. Okay. Yeah, well, if Forest go down, Leeds are better than West Ham. So that was my order that... Yeah. 14th, Brentford. Now, this might be a bit low, but... Oh, fuck it. I'll say it anyway. 13th, Everton. 12th, Bournemouth. 11th, I've got Brighton. And then 10th, I have Palace. Only on the basis that I think they might change manager at some point. Tom Hotspur in ninth. Not the bottom half finish. Eighth Sunderland. Seventh Newcastle. I think you'll fix it, mate.
8:01Yeah, we'll kick on. Sixth Man United. Fifth. We will, don't worry. Because they can't keep getting away with it. Aston Villa. You think they drop off? Yeah. I hope so. Wait, Man United where? Six. And then Villa fifth. Yeah. Fourth Liverpool. Third Chelsea. Second Manchester City. And first Arsenal. Oh. he thinks Arsenal's going to win he doesn't only say that it's hopium and hopium and and belief you say it's hopium but also at the same time no when Gabriel comes back we've won the league like it's fucking easy oh and he actually might win the Champions League play as a year he's back in like two weeks isn't he is he well here to tell you boys this is the crack list do you want to hold the ball oh I love that no problem you went for it I was going to pass it along I was like I want it for me 20th I've got Wolves shit with their points prediction how many do you reckon two they're not going to win not only are they not going to win again they're never going to score again ever I think they're going to finish on in fact that Strand Larson still missed by the way Strand Larson the fact they didn't take 60 million for him is mental that wouldn't have worked than any other deal he's sulking he's angry he's upset I think he's just a sulker he might have just booted maybe he's just not that good he had one good season what's he's a wonder 19th Burnley 18th I have went West Ham The Amherst 17th I've actually went Leeds I know they haven't a good patch but it's not going to sustain too well but I reckon they've got enough I mean surviving is still a pretty good thing Indeed indeed That's so crazy That's a rogue one You guys are not going to believe this I'm sorry I put Leeds 17 They do have the best strike in the league in their team so you could think they'll be higher Very good point 16th I've got Brentford 15th Bournemouth 14th Fulham 13th Forest 12th Sunderland which I think is a good season I know you're like oh gender but I actually think that's a really good season for them 11th Brighton 10th Man United 9th yeah I just I don't buy it I think they do I think it's more that other teams are really good they're not though but these are the teams that are really good United have been drawing and beating we've just said how shit the league is I think they'll be going bye bye do you think the league is shit or are all the other teams really good I think the teams Sounds like your contrary opinions right now No, I think the teams that are traditionally mid-table are way improved this season Who?
10:28You've got your Palaces, you've got your Everton looking really good, Aston Villa, I know they are up there anyways, but they went way amongst it We're down in 12th, but we're going to kick on You've got Brighton who you'd fancy to kick on All of them are way better than you I don't write Brighton, they piss me off every week Two different sides Well, 9th Everton, 8th Palace 7th Spurs 8 with European football it's crazy league this year you think Tottenham are going to finish higher than Man United based on what you've seen I know it's not good now I don't understand how you've got Tottenham anywhere near the top 7 I really don't see them getting you up at all I understand it doesn't look good now right that's my argument fair enough but I just think I don't have you just thrown the teams in you have to remember you have to remember it's not like the state of we had this conversation at the start of the season when Tottenham are around top four it'd be very different there's a whole other half of football to be played I do agree and you don't want to be reactionary on where the league is now it's not reactionary it's December yeah no but if you went if you went three months ago so cut this half season in half they were up near the top four and they could easily get back there they have good quality players they weren't playing well they weren't playing well you know they are starting to play well I think they'll get up there I trust in Frank as well I still trust in Frank I think he's a good manager he's stubborn I think he's a good manager.
11:48But what's he shown this season other than consistently similar mistakes and lacklustre football? The home form is dreadful. It is, but you could take some solace in the fact that their away form, which is the harder bit, is good. The home form should be easier to fix. They were great at Forest last week, wasn't they? I know, but in general this season, their away form's been better. They started okay away from home, yeah, but they're crap. Do you think a home form is easier to fix than away? So they've got an easier solution. It should be. Yeah, it should be. that's more of an indictment on how bad he is then yeah no but it's also it also shows a bigger scope for improvement it doesn't though because of course it does no because we've been through this again with the big clubs Thomas Frank cannot manage a big club at home because he has to be on the front foot and he has to dominate position he can't do it I understand Lou the only team they've beaten in the Premier League the only team they've beaten in the Premier League you're just going oh the league's crazy or this and that I've told you why I think you're not actually giving reasons your opinion of that of Frank can't do that this club, like he can do that.
12:48He can decide to, what do you mean? We haven't, he's never shown he can do that. So you have to give him time to adapt to a new club where he has to, you give him half a season to adapt to the jump from Brentford to Tottenham. I think Frank is a smart enough manager and showing it through Brentford that he will be able to adapt. If he was that smart, you would have seen signs, wouldn't you? Yeah, but, at least signs. Guys, since October the 26th when they beat Everton 3-0, they've won one Premier League football match. Yeah. they're crap this might be right okay well we'll see at the end of the season and this will be a stinker I have faith in Frank I think they have a good team and also they have money to spend in January who the fuck is going to want to get to Spurs no one that's a good point because Semenya said no but they got money to spend they got money to spend to fix this season and I trust in Frank and I might be a silly man I just don't I understand Frank did a good job at Brentford I just don't understand this the people saying like I can rating him highly as a top manager.
13:48I just don't... There's no evidence of it. Ever. I know, but for there to be evidence of it, you must give them time. How much time do you need to show signs? So you think managers in the modern day need six months to show they can win a home game? A few months into the season... Am I going mad here? A few months into the season, Tottenham are amongst the top four. Listen, a few months into the season, Tottenham are amongst the top four and they've fallen off since. they're going to have money there's no point in me disagreeing with him and disagreeing with him when I agree with both people obviously yeah can you agree with both when we're against each other's opinion no no he's saying that he believes that Thomas Frank's a good manager in which case he'll turn it around and I agree with that but your point of there's no signs for them to have shown in the last six month period winning games at home is also valid as well but then that contradicts your point of saying you agree that he can turn it around then why can he turn it around if he shows no signs of doing it for a manager to build up for a manager to build up experience of displaying that they're able to turn it around at a bigger club you must allow them to do it it's like when people say Eddie Howe will never take you to the top level because there's no background of doing it you have to give him the opportunity to show like Mourinho wasn't born winning Premier League Eddie Howe as soon as he came in at Newcastle showed signs and got results and made things happen straight away even still now the debate is he's never going to get you to the top on his that's not he's not the manager I'm not arguing that about Thomas Frank I'm not about him just winning a home game that's something that you can fix you can't fix it we're in the new year and they've won one game was it one game at home they're at home they're do you think they're going to go the rest of the season not winning at home probably not they probably will win at home again I think it's a case of once they win a couple games at home then the more that thing is gone and the momentum builds that's just hyperbole hyperbolic nonsense.
15:45You're not actually giving footballing reasons. You just go, oh, well, yeah, a bit of momentum and they'll start with the game. I am giving reasons to you, Tom, but they're not reasons that you agree with. My logical support of yours would be if they do make a couple of signings in January, which obviously might change the team's up. They have a lot of money to do so. This happened with Amarim as well. Man, you're not way better now after a few improvements, different, you know, personnel in terms of where they play on the pitch. And then he turned it around. Okay, but my character to that is Ruben Amorim has proven himself admittedly a lesser league but for a top team in that league who are expected to dominate and win games at home and basically they're like the giants of their league or one of which Spurs are now You don't believe that because his methodology is three at the back and you think that I'm not talking about tactics I'm on about Ruben Amorim shown he can for a big team deliver and basically be the big boys.
16:45Thomas Frank's only ever done it for minnows. So like Brentford, you can go nine games without winning at Brentford and then get a good away win or something like that. That's kind of how he rolls. But at Spurs, you have to dominate the ball at home for one, which he doesn't do. He likes to hit teams on the break. The way he plays is so fucking negative and boring. You can't get away with that at Spurs. And he showed no signs of changing that. since he's come in. He's still trying to play the way he played at Brentford, which is, they're good away from home because they can hit teams on the break and they can surprise teams like when they beat City at the start of the season.
17:19He will pick up results like that because that's his style of football. That style cannot run at a top six club because you have to dominate the ball at home. That's just a fact of life. Because your fans don't accept it. Imagine if Arsenal played like that at home. I would be very angry. You just can't, it's just not a realistic, what's the word realistic ambition I don't know whatever but it's not realistic to sustain like you're just going to lose your job it's a bit like the best the best what's it what's the fucking word the best the best the best oh no fuck the best nah it's lost now he reminds me he reminds me to a profile of like of Roy Hodgson who was amazing at West Brom he did great at Fulham.
18:09As soon as you get to Liverpool, you cannot play that style of football. It's so negative. It's so structured. It's fucking boring. So he's like the elite A-tier manager. He's just a good coach and a good manager for lower to mid teams. He hasn't shown he can do it for top teams and top players, I don't think. And I think it's the new year now. He's had enough time at Spurs to at least show he can do that. And he's still playing the same negative. to football. And Lewis thinks he will show it around not necessarily because of what you've seen but because football's not all about stats and what you've seen.
18:44Sometimes it's about heart. Is that what you're saying? My overall point is they're able to spend there's teams above him who are worse than Tottenham's and I feel like there's a huge score for them to improve and Tom's point yes he hasn't shown that he's able to do a bigger team but like sometimes I understand what you're saying about no change but sometimes there will be stuff going on in the background but it might not be ready to put and play into a game. Like we randomly came out with a brand new formation against Marseille we'd never seen before but it worked really well and it's something we've clearly been working on for a while.
19:15So like I wouldn't be surprised if you come into the new year and there is change. It's like I don't think six months, I feel like six months when they're like five, six points off where I'm sitting, five, six points of where I'm sitting they're going to finish is mental for you to think it's that mental. They're like five points off the position I'm sitting in. I just think if a manager knows that his job's under threat he's going to try different methods. Exactly. They have money to spend. they've got a huge scope to improve yeah but they're better now so you just got to believe he has started to adapt though now Amren in fairness to him took two years I don't think it's like if you boil it down they have five points off where I say they're going to finish I know but have you watched them play football is it even less what position are you up to they're four points off where I'm saying they're going to finish like that really isn't mental at all I think they I think it is when you watch Spurs they're so bad Lewis they're so so bad when you see yeah but what they're doing is they're underperforming from their ability, which gives me confidence for improvement.
20:08Yes, of course they are. I think they've got crap players as well. Fucking Odebert. I liked him yesterday. He looks good. He was good yesterday. He's got flashes, but Odebert, Odebert is good enough to be like a starting winger in the top 16. I know, again, like we said, January's coming and there's a huge opportunity for them to sign players. Obviously, they're not going to get some manual, but they are going to recruit strongly in January, 100%. Of course they are. The league with Semenyo, that's already shown their intent. He's not going, mate. He said no. I know, but that's shown their intent going into the transfer window.
20:40Spurs are going to be bottom of the pecking order to get these players. Yeah, they'll find someone. So do you think... I'm not going to get Semenyo. You think they're going to really go in January and spend? Well, they'll definitely sign a winger and they're going to sign someone. And also, based on their last few years, I wouldn't trust them with the money. How much was Solanke? 65 million. We'll see at the end of the transfer window if you look smart or stupid. What else you got? Fucking hell. Oh, shit, we haven't even done his list. Sorry. Yeah. Sixth, Chelsea. Fifth, Newcastle. You are fucking deluded.
21:09Again, I just don't get it. I just don't get it. We've shown signs. No, just keep saying this. I feel like it doesn't go through. Chelsea are better than you, mate. Last year, we were 12th at Christmas. We finished fifth. That's nothing to do with this year. No, no, no. It shows our capability to turn around the second half. And also, in this time round, it's actually a smaller gap to turn it around. Last year it was a bigger gap Yeah but you were Just how big was the gap last season? I can't remember off the top of my head So you don't actually know Whether or not it was bigger or smaller Okay I feel like we could all say That the top half of the table is tight I'm asking because It definitely is tighter You're 13 points back from the position Oh no sorry You say fifth Six points back Luke can I add one thing as well You're forgetting last year You also had You were better Isak up front Again I think Valtaparte is decent But like he is Isak's a match winner do you know what I mean I think you do look slightly worse as a team again actually Volta Marder has I think he has one more goal or the same amount of goals as Isak did last year at this point in the season so like again that's so like it's Isak thing Volta Marder actually has the same amount of goals as Isak did last year but Isak went on a mad run didn't he exactly but this is what I'm saying so you're writing off a team that's in the exact same position of what they did last year I'm just writing you off at all but you're worse than you were last year I think I understand we're worse but we're we're playing differently it's like we are adapting to a new player but like I think we've played the whole season without Wisser who's back who is much more like Izak in terms of how we can press and that is how we would normally play football so like we've had to adapt to Volta Marder sitting and to Nali doing the press and it's not really worked that well who she can't hold on to Leeds I know but this is what I mean like there is spurts there our defensive record is actually good our defensive record is actually good it's just not in the last 10 minutes and so that is definitely an issue to solve it's not good then 13 points from winning positions you can't just go No, he's good for 80 minutes.
23:02That's a key part of the game is the latter stages. But again, we did this last year. I'm only saying we're going to do the same thing again. It's not a silly thing to say. He's that argument. We already have a striker who scored the same angles as he did last year. And this time, we don't have a I think you're finishing sick. I think you will finish hard, but you're not better than Chelsea. I think we're going to... I actually disagree. I think we'll... Wow. I think in the league, when we start getting our consistency we're going to be really good fair enough well obviously the when is like last week of the season well I'm not curious we will probably just want to be fifth I imagine carry on now fourth Liverpool third Aston Villa second I have Arsenal and first Man City alright that's not a crazy thing to say it's not ridiculous to say that that is not ridiculous to say that Nick Russell finish higher than all did it last year I'd love to know what you actually believe oh he's mugged you we did it last year he came with that Isaac thing I had that Volta Marder stat right there that's proof in the body Isaac was now he's injured no but like Isaac had a great season last year but he has the same goals as Volta Marder did weren't Wolves like bottom near Christmas last year and they stayed up as well so you could say the same for them teams are different each year just because you did it one year with a different team doesn't mean you do it this year do you not think Newcastle's shown what we're able to do it's just been the consistency I think we've all yeah but that's a massive part and that was our issue last year as well mate that was the issue last year I don't see how you can watch Chelsea Newcastle and think you're better than Chelsea I think we'll by the way it doesn't necessarily have to be about being better than Chelsea it's about us picking points because we're not playing Chelsea every week are we once we have our consistency you need to be better than them to finish above them that's how it works the fact that we've dropped what now 13 points from leading positions shows the our defensive record is actually brilliant until that 75th minute it shows Fucking shut up, Lou.
24:59It's just... By the way, by the way, we are brilliant for 10 minutes. By the way, that shows the scope of how 15 minutes away from 30 points. That's a lot. That's a massive part of it. But a football match is 90 minutes long. I'm literally not saying mental things long. A football match is 90 minutes long. Our defensive record is good. All it is, is that last 15 minutes where that's the thing to fix. And then we can see the amount of points that unlock. The goal scoring has been fixed. The defence is good. It's just that last 10 minutes. That's a massive thing. That's a massive, massive issue.
25:30That's not something that just gets fixed on a training ground. Yeah, last 10 minutes isn't like a tactical decision, mate. That's experience. Again, I really... It's like fitness. I've said a lot of mental stuff, but here I have literally, we have done it in the past as recent as last year. It's not a mental thing to say. Why have you got some red? Is that burning up inside? Are you about to explode? I can't just say a logical fact. For the first time, actually, I'm actually arguing with facts. But anyways, you're this. I actually was, yeah. Right, ready? Yes, go on. In 20th, I got Wolves. What's your points prediction for them?
26:10I think they might scrape four.
26:17Because I'm holding my mic. I always hold my mic. 19th. Burnley. 18th. I have got West Ham. I think what you said about them is correct. 17th, Leeds. 16th, Forest. 15th, Fulham. 14th. Now, this will go against our bet, but I think it may be correct. You remember our bet? Me? No. About Newcastle and a certain few other teams finishing above them? No. Got Palace in 14th. What's our bet? Whoa. And I... Yeah, we said we'd have... I said Sutherland and Palace would... It was Newcastle and Palace to finish. Or Sunderland would finish above both of them. Yeah. I think Palace are... How would that go again?
27:00That's for your bet. That's supportive for your bet. No, because Newcastle are going to finish above Palace. No, it was Newcastle and Palace to finish, either or to finish above Sunderland, because you were pro-Sunderland, weren't you? You said Sunderland would finish above both. You said Sunderland were a better team than Crystal Palace and Newcastle, so they'd finish above both. Okay, fair enough. So actually just support. Well, Palace, I think they're just, I think they're running out of legs. I don't think they have a strong enough squad depth. but I think they're going to struggle with midweek and I think it's just going to catch up on them they've had a great luck like they won the FA Cup I think it's just they're going to it's going to catch up do you remember where you put them at the start of the year?
27:35what 6th? it was like 5th I think yeah what's wrong with that? I'm just thinking no it's funny isn't it how times change 13th I've got Brentford in 12th I've got Tottenham Hotspurs in 11th I've got Newcastle in 10th I've got Everton you have been crap From what I've seen in Newcastle, evidence suggests. Absolutely. You can only go with the evidence for boring reasons only. Not all this hyperbolic nonsense. We just need to fucking not concede in the last 15 every fucking year. My 1 to 20 is based on what I've seen this season. Not on what they've done as a club. I think that's a very fair assessment.
28:1410, I've got Everton. 9th, I've got Bournemouth. 8th, I've got Brighton. Bournemouth, 9th. Why do you think they're going to kick on? I think they're one of them clubs. that I can't see them finishing bottom half and they're just going to keep like going. Yeah, but... And they've got Danny Welbert. They've been... Wait, no. You said Bournemouth. Yeah, Bournemouth in ninth. They don't have Danny Welbert. Are they going to lose Semenya? They don't have Danny Welbert. Well, similar to Bournemouth. They just somehow always win. They've got a great... Why are you mentally deficient? They've had very good...
28:43I'm sorry, Bournemouth in ninth. You just said Danny Welbert in ninth. It's crazy. Why is that crazy? Because they're losing Semenya, the best player. They're like average. They're not a top-half team, are they? They were for the majority of the season. And they still... No, they've been crap for weeks. They're not as crap as you think. They've been crap for weeks. They're just drawn to Burnley. Burnley at home. At home. Even if they lose to Menuhi, I think they'll just find a replacement. No, yeah, I think Bournemouth... No one's suggesting Bournemouth are going to get down or nothing. Knife's mid-table.
29:16It's top-half. It's still mid-table though, isn't it? It's literally one place off mid-table I'd say mid-table is like 10 to the last year They haven't won in five Mid-table is literally nine They haven't won in five games That's like only one off Europe now Mid-table is 10th, exactly It's one place off the mid-table The last win was nine games ago Their last win was nine games ago The last win was in October against Boris They've also got an excellent manager Who I think will be able to turn it around as well By the way I'm not saying they're fucking going to get Europe I said ninth They're not far off though, in nine.
29:49but they're not getting it. He is right though. Technically, yes, mathematically, mid-table is 10th, but you class mid-table teams from like 11th to 13th, don't you? That's what you class as mid-table, or 10th to 13th. I haven't said ninth, lads. I'm not putting Champions League here. I don't class them. You're trying to make a big deal out of like a very small deal right now. No, but Bournemouth are going to finish like low. Look at how they've been playing. You're saying they're going to get into ninth after losing their best player. After losing their best player. and I've seen evidence of that earlier in the season this is their performance with their best player because I'm saying this is their performance with their best player it's kind of his argument for Thomas Frank really so he should be in your case a little bit no because there's a difference between Tottenham and Bournemouth Bournemouth were exceeding their performances at the start of the season Tottenham are below their performances and also they're losing their best player I also said with the Semenya thing yeah he looks like he's agreed but he's still he might end up staying he's going to go do you know what I mean so are you back Are you basing that league position Of him going?
30:49If he goes No, no, no Is that based on him going or staying? Well, staying That's based You're a liar You're a liar You're a liar But I am He said in the short How he's gone to Liverpool You said in the short How he's gone to Liverpool You are He's not being confirmed yet You're a sneaky little devil You're lying Can I say one thing as well, Tom? Swear on your mum's on He's lying Even if he goes I think they'll be able to replace him Because as we said earlier That's logical No me disagree Can I move on to my Less to my thing But even with No I know why you want to move on Because you look silly No I don't Even with You do I called them to finish mid-table With Semen Even with Semen How are Bournemouth Going to finish ninth When they can't win You put them below You put Newcastle below them Yeah You put Newcastle below them Because of how we've looked this season They haven't won in nine games They still look better than you No they don't No they don't Fucking do We're undefeated in eight games at home.
31:46In a semi-final. In eighth. No, I can't believe I just tried to skip past the Newcastle. We were, I've just had a row with him for 10 minutes. A full row. We have to skip past you and Bournemouth. And you just want to skip past him? Why? Give reasons why they're going to finish above Newcastle. And compare it to, yeah. Explain your arguing for Newcastle to Bournemouth, please. They've got a better manager. They've got a better manager. Okay, they've got, fuck off. Let him go, let him go. They've got a good defender in Sanessi. One good defender. One good defender. We don't have good defenders.
32:10They've actually got Krupe Jr. they've got who doesn't start but he should please is this an argument that you believe and also we're forgetting only a few months ago they're in a bloody title race boys yeah but they have oh my god anyone at the start of the season can fucking be in the top four admit if you did it out of the agenda admit if you did it out of the agenda but Bournemouth in ninth no put in Newcastle solo because that argument contradicts themselves yeah and you can't and you can't argue out of it no but I've seen I've seen from Bournemouth I've seen them better than Newcastle this year they haven't won a ninth What are you on about?
32:41What are you talking about? What are you on about? Wait, can I, sorry, are you angry at me putting Newcastle 11th No, I'm saying, I'm using Newcastle as an example of how it contradicts what you say. Both. Based on your arguments for Newcastle. Your pro-argument for Bournemouth contradicts what you said about Newcastle. Yeah, Bournemouth jumping in five places. It doesn't make any sense. It's the complete opposite. Your pro-argument for Bournemouth was they have a good defender. Newcastle have... And Kroofy Jr. Yeah. And they've still got Semenya as well. And they've got Tavernier. but you Chris D Scott oh my Theo Truffaut you've been caught out in an agenda is what it is yeah compare them to Newcastle players it's a lapping stock so why are they only one point behind Newcastle at the moment oh my god Theo if you look at the trajectory look at the Sunderland team look at the Sunderland team Sunderland have got better players in Bournemouth most areas of the pitch better than Newcastle as well no I don't think so so why are they above Newcastle then because Newcastle have been inconsistent but no you're Sunderland on Southern's 8th grade form and Bournemouth haven't won in nine games?
33:40You're talking about players on paper right now. You started bringing up players individually. You asked me the players who I think will be good for them. No, we didn't. We asked for your points on why Bournemouth are going to finish above Newcastle. And you went, they've got a good defender in Sydney. By the way, the argument was better manager, good defender and Krupy Junior. Yeah. That's your four points for Bournemouth. Fucking hell, mate. Why do you think Arsenal are going to finish second? Is it just your opinion? No, because I'm crazy. Is Bournemouth just a random team that you think will kick on?
Read the full transcript
34:10Okay, fuck it, never mind. I put Bournemouth ninth. By the way, I put Newcastle fifth. You can disagree. First thing I said about five minutes. Sorry, so what did you say? Is Bournemouth just one of those random teams you think will kick on just because it's the Premier League? I think they're just a good side, man. They're just all right. Like, they've gone through a rough patch. Yeah, but you can't be all right and finish ninth. You don't believe it. They've gone through a rough patch and I think they'll come out on the other side. That's not fucking crazy, mate. I put them ninth. I put them ninth.
34:31That's quite a nice time. competitively. That's a really high position. So it's fifth in Newcastle. Yes, but mine is based on, you might think my thing's just silly, but it's based on history. It's based on what we've last seen. And I'm not basing it on history. I'm not basing it on the team. I'm basing it on what I've seen this season. It's not that crazy. The other one at nine! They've been crap for weeks. They're looking terrible. They'll turn it round. Why? Because of how they were at the start of the year. But we now have a bigger sample size and they're crapper. For half the... They drew to West Ham.
35:00I'm good for... In the last month or so, they haven't looked as good. I still think they'll turn it around because I've seen them be good. I've seen them be good once. Theo, by the way, that is... By the way, you're making yourself look really silly if you actually like mean what you say. You haven't seen Newcastle be good once this season. That's not true. We beat Man City. I've obviously been pedantic there. The mighty Man City. Mighty Man City, the treble winners. Honestly, you are. You've made such a big deal out of Bournemouth in ninth. The reason is, it's because you've been caught out with your contradiction on other teams.
35:29Spurs are going to turn it around. Newcastle are going to turn it around. Spurs definitely won't turn it around. I agree with that. Not if that fucking dickhead's in charge. He's gone seventh. We'll come back to the end of the year, won't we? Theo, yet again, you fail to see what's annoying. We don't really care where you put Bournemouth or anyone. Fuck me, it sounds like you care. No, or anyone. Jesus Christ, mate. It's your reasoning. And then you use addiction. No, but you use the opposite reasons. I don't think Newcastle will. You don't think that though You don't Yes I do You put Newcastle there You don't think that Also Newcastle I don't Your arguments Your arguments for pro-Bourmuth Contradict what you fear About Newcastle It's football Football doesn't make sense I think Bournemouth Will turn it around Newcastle I don't think Will turn it around It does make sense To some people No it doesn't You just got mugged You think it made sense That Leicester on the league Yeah They were the best team That year But like you haven't even said Like a reason why you don't think Newcastle will turn it around No because they've got I just don't think they will Bournemouth got Sonetti better manager Newcastle's never proven to turn around bad form Eddie Howell's never done that I just think you're going to struggle with European football you actually think Iriola's a better manager than Howell he doesn't I do yeah he really doesn't not based on like trophies and stuff not based on like these huge accomplishments no but it's like who would be who would be more sought after from like a big European side I think Iriola but that's by the way that's that argument is completely irrelevant to a performance of the team I don't think Eddie Howell's a bad manager No, but a manager being sexy to other clubs...
37:01I agree with him who does that. Can you understand? A manager being appealing to other clubs has no impact on his ability in his job with his current club. So that argument doesn't help your argument for Bournemouth being above Newcastle, saying he's a bigger draw for other clubs. You can see Raulder going for Irelia, but not Eddie Hall. No, but that doesn't... I really could not see Raulder going for Irelia. But even still, even if that's true, that doesn't affect how good either of them do in their job. Yeah. It's irrelevant. I'm allowed my opinion. Oh! You have allowed my opinion. I'm perfectly allowed my opinion, just because it's about Newcastle you get fucking crying every time about it No it's because it's not consistent it's because it's not consistent If I think Bournemouth will turn it around I don't think Newcastle will shoot me if I'm having that opinion like actually shoot me You're so childish sometimes carry on You're being childish No I'm not being childish but I don't You say something we disagree we have a football debate because that's the point of the show then you go why don't you just calm down guys like come on I'm not saying it's just my opinion I'm just saying I put Bournemouth in ninth position in the Premier League and I think they'll turn it around That's fine I put Newcastle No no no The argument isn't the position, it's the fact you've used different logic for different things.
38:04You say things like Ira Hall is a better manager than Eddie Howe and expect no one to debate it. Eddie Howe? Eddie Howe. Oh, you say Bournemouth are going to do that because they have Zanessi and expect no one to debate. It's like... If they had Zanetti, they fucking would turn around. Or they have Krupy Jr. up front. It's like, well... You can't expect us not to... We're going to debate that. All right, well, that's a bit mental. I think Bournemouth will turn it around and they'll push on. I understand that. And I think Newcastle, who are currently 11th, will finish 11th. That's a completely fair opinion, Theo.
38:29And that's what I think. But it's your reasonings was the issue. That's the only thing we were debating. Because I just think it, though. That's fine, but I'm allowed to ask you why. Yeah, and I've tried to answer you, but sometimes I can't always get it out of my head, and I just think that's going to happen. Like, you probably think Newcastle are going to get Champions League football. Probably not going to happen, but he's allowed to think that, because he's a fan, and he thinks how football works. Sometimes football isn't based on stats, opinions. I think my reasoning's consistent, though.
38:54He thinks fucking not, unfortunately, and relegated. No he doesn't No he doesn't Well he said it Yeah but We know he's fucking Being a knob Being a knob Go on then Carry on Have you got his 7th Arsenal I just think We're going to fall off Sunderland Sunderland 7th And they're going to Keep going 6th they've got Liverpool European football For Sunderland So they're going 6th 6th Liverpool Fucking hell Really And Yeah Fucking hell I think Yeah fair enough I don't think Liverpool have finished 6th What happens if Eke Tiki gets injured. Yeah. You said, by the way, you said you were basing yours on the season so far a second ago, by the way.
39:32They can't start the High School now. I think Liverpool just look like they're struggling, aren't they? What if Semenya leaves? You know, what if, what if, what if? What if? Do you know what I mean? What if you guys are Arsenal? He won't, carry on. Do you know what I mean? It's even less likely that they'll finish ninth. I'm trying to figure out who he's got missing here. Fifth, I've got Chelsea. Fourth, I've got Man United. Fucking hell. I really think they're going to do it They are looking better Can I have a bet with you About United finishing above Liverpool please Hell yeah you can How much would you like to have And Chelsea really Can I have a bet with you On Newcastle bottom half as well I'll have that £100 please I think Liverpool I'll have Liverpool United finishing above Liverpool You're having United I'm having Liverpool Thank you Can I have Newcastle Can I have Newcastle bottom half Top half please Well mine's on the border So there's only one position Yeah So like You can have You can have 10th and below, so better odds.
40:27What I'm saying is, I really think Man United are going to finish by Liverpool, but Newcastle are literally one position away from the top half, so I'm not going to take that bet, am I? Okay, that's fine. I was just trying to get a bet. That's fine, you don't have to take it. If you're pussy, you're pussy. I'm saying he offered you a bet and you don't want it. He said, I want it, we won't do it. I know, I don't have a problem. I'm saying that's fine. That's fine reasoning. Come on, carry on. Come on, buddy. Third Villa, second City, first Arsenal. that would have been insane top four by the way fair fucking play there is what United and Villa United, Villa, City, Arsenal we've all put Villa top four no I mean no it means it's just like it's just when you look back at the years in the start of the season that would be a crazy thing to say but you put Man United in my attempt didn't you yeah we were both anti-Man United I'm saying like in terms of the landscape of how the Prem's changed it's not a dig at you by the way I'm just saying he's getting no no no you're putting your guard up for no apparent reason all I'm saying is how different the current Premier League season is compared to how we would have seen at the start that's it it's not an offensive thing to say is he trying to is he trying to do what I think he's trying to do is he trying to he's already mugged you've just been mugged you've been mugged I'm really not well that was a longer clip than expected because we've got two fucking idiots in the corner of there God forbid a man puts Bournemouth ninth fuck me again missing the point yet again it's really frustrating And God's been a man for Newcastle in the same position they currently are.
41:54No one cares about us. Again, missing the argument. Missing the argument. It's like you didn't listen to any of the arguments. It's like you weren't there. It's like arguing with a wall. It really is. Is anything going up but there?
42:11Moving on. Booyah, shooter. We've mentioned a few buy-sell players, haven't we, already today? So we're going to be doing naming one player every Premier League club. should buy I think you should buy some knickers that's sexy I'm famous for them that's fucking fit it's falling at a really awful time this actually because some of mine are linked with other places well the transfer window is a crazy place and anything they watch this the clubs actually watch the show and as we've seen with Dan Byrne they listen can I get mine out of the way because I hate this I would like to go first as I went last I hate this I just want to get mine out of the way no we just say the club and then we also the player ah yes ah let's start at the bottom with Wolves I'll put Fred West goalkeeper Bryce Samba I think is probably a good shout who's that he used to play for Forrest fucking hell how old's he now 31 Jesus where'd that come from you pulled that one out of them well they needed goalkeeper and I just did a bit where'd you play for who'd you play for he's in France at the moment that is the what that is so red I thought we were supposed to do research on the segment though yeah I'm Bob Oobles we said Fred West yeah I think he should bury the ground under a patio Jesus Christ I've gone Chris Wood even if it's just alone he isn't playing that's not actually a bad shout I don't mind that at all I've gone Joe Willock on loan Joe Willock to Wolves I don't think he'd call that that's not very realistic is it I think he's too good I think another team might go for him did he play though yeah he should be starting we would allow him to go but I think he would I think you'd allow him go on loan he'd aim higher not to Wolves he'd even sell him I think but I think Willock has a standard tie because that's his championship I think Stan No, but not by It's like a short Get his price up And then send it At the end of the season Yeah, I mean I've got Willock down For a different transfer Which you'll see at some point I also don't think That's a position Walls really need With Gomez-Andre Well, next up It's Barnler I've got Chris Wood You've got Chris Wood?
44:06Yeah Well, I have Adam Armstrong I've got a similar Sort of thing to Chris Wood But Troy Parrott, mate Give him Premier League minutes I don't think he's got good No, I don't I could have put a blank He's too good for the Premier League I try to be realistic with mine I'm like he's cheap and he would come sort of thing i've actually he won't leave saying so armstrong he's probably gonna go up again i've got one and it just absolutely kills me to say it but he's too good for us and we need the money i'd go on a hegebo our striker for burn because i think it'll be good surely there's no way he goes right haha i think it'll give him good premier league experience and then they'll come down and have the best strike in the championship and come back up so that's a good previous one and we can just probably treble our money in six months.
44:46West Ham? Maybe like a Heger boomerang. Ha ha ha ha. West Ham. I'm going to be Stran Larsen. So have I. I've got Stran Larsen. I've got Stran Larsen as well. I went Chris Wood. It's because they're linked aren't they? Is every one of your answers Chris Wood? You can't keep saying the same players. There's going to be a transfer for Chris Wood. Yeah but you can't say 10 Chris Woods and then like think about the other. No there's only three Chris Rods. Chris Rods? No! There's only three. I think they should get Chris Wood. I reckon they could get Strand Larson for like 20-30 million no they could get Strand Larson they can't afford him they wouldn't sell him for Fulker's off Fulker's off West Ham can definitely afford him they're not going to get him for 25 million he just turned on 60 they might they're going to go down he's probably he's probably got a relegation clause in his contract they're going to get 50 mil no they're not he's going to get 50 I bet you they get less than 50 million if they have a relegation clause for 25 million the contract they'll wait till they get relegated I reckon he's I'm having four seasons he's 50 % as valuable but West Ham I agree I agree.
45:45But I think they're in denial. Because imagine how bitter you'd be when you turn on 60 million. People are offering 10. I'm telling you now, Wolves will accept 30 million. I agree. I think so. I think they've accepted it. Who's the next team? Forest. Is it Chris Wood? He already plays that much. No, I've actually got Azula. Oh. I think... Really? Chris Wood's leaving. Yeah, but they've got Igor, Jesus, and... Yeah, I'm not saying he's one who'd start, but I think he's a... I've won you still. I think he's versatile. and he's still a bit raw but there's a lot of score for improvement. I think he'd just be a nice little...
46:18You're getting rid of Chris Ward. You want to replace him with someone and I think Asulu would be a good little get. Well, I've gone full Deitch ball. I'll put Dwight McNeil. Are they linked with him as well? Yeah. Quite an easy one. Did you go on transfer rumour market or something? Well, I think that they probably... There's a person that might move away based on my other transfer. But I also said like Hinshelwood from Brighton because obviously he has a replacement for who might leave. Dwight McNeil? Sean Dyche. I know, but they've got wingers, haven't they? Sean Dyche. I've gone with Victor Johansson, the goalie from Stoke.
46:50He's the best goalie in the championship, and I think they need a goalie. Perez? I've gone for Schlager. Schlager? My mother. No. Schlager. Don't you fucking dare call her that again. Leipzig sent him in. I think with Sangari going afcon, they could probably do a bit of bolstering next to Anderson. Damn. Seen a lot of him, have you? Yeah, in the Bundesliga. What are you thinking of players you've never watched? Schlager What's his best attribute? He's a runner He's a midfield He's a box-to-box midfielder Is he? How do you spell his name? Schlager S-C-H-L-A-G-E-R Oh, Schlager Schlager Schlager Schlager Nice What foot is he?
47:31He's got it in his back He's right foot Go on He is, yeah Well done 28 Market value of 5 million Experience They could afford him Nice Research, mate Nice What colour has he got? He's bald Is he? I don't know Is he bald? No, no He's got blonde hair Don't look at me That's why I thought he was bald Because I look at my own I've got blonde hair technically No, but he's actually got He's actually got noticeable hair What about Leeds then? I'm sorry, Tom Mikey Johnston Yeah, it wouldn't be bad I've gone similar I've gone Anis Mometti From Bristol City I think he's I'd like to see him Take a step up Who's doing well at Leeds At the moment?
48:11Sean What? Sean Longstar? No, no, no. They've got loads of players. Who's doing well at Leeds? Calvert-Lewin. Oh, Calvert-Lewin. Exactly. And what's he? Striker. An underappreciated English player from back in there. Yeah. Dele Alli. That is the stupidest thing you've ever said on this show. Full resurgence. To be fair, if it happened to Calvert-Lewin, it could happen to Dele Alli. How's that a bad suggestion? I'm going to challenge one of my things on the award show. He can't. Didn't Como say, like, we don't want you anymore? Dele Alli. Oh, man, I didn't really have a proper player, so I wanted to make a fun suggestion because Calvert-Loon is doing really well.
48:45Sorry, guys. Calvert-Loon wasn't out of the game for four years. Do you think they need him? No, no, I didn't actually have a player and I don't think Leeds necessarily need a lot of people. Do you remember when you... Sorry, yeah. I got Matty Longstaff. Let's get the brothers together. Let's get the fucking brawls together. Is he in America? He's over in America. He's schooling Messi. I don't know. What a stupid... What do you mean? Dele Alli and Matty Longstaff. Long stuff's great, man. Get the broads back in town. English players, mate. You're scoring against Man United outside the box. That's one of the worst ones you've ever done.
49:17I knew, actually. Sorry, boy. Mine's good. Fulham, I've gone with... I just think Wolves should just basically cash in now. I've said Fulham should go and get Andre. I think they're quite short in midfield. I think Wolves are about to accept that they're down, mate. They might as well prep. They might as well go for the record. Yeah. At least you get remembered. At least you get famous, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I said Strand Larson where's that come from mostly because I predict something else not Chris Wood nope because Chris Wood's going somewhere else then Strand Larson's going to go Fulham does Strand Larson's start for them well someone might be leaving a Fulham I've cheated a little bit here because apparently they are still well they're looking at him I don't know if this is going to go through or not but Moyes Keane is who they've I've got Moyes Keane for a different reason because he's no because Fiorentina bottomed Serie A Are they?
50:11Bottom, like, bottom, bottom, like, 20th. Oh, aye. I understand what bottom is. He got, like, 20 goals last year, I think. 25 goals last year. Munez hasn't... He's actually all right. He's been injured forever. He's going to leave Fiorentina. He's always had a big reputation, hasn't he? Yeah. But he was bad when he comes to Everton. No, he was. But he had a good season last year. He's having an all-right season amongst the shit of Fiorentina at the moment. He was probably going to get relegated. How about get Mitrovic back? Moussaadi can't afford him, mate. That'll be so a bit smart. Bournemouth.
50:42I've gone with a similar vein. I've gone with Jaumez. Oh. That's too good. I put Semenya replacement in Tyreek George. I struggled with a Semenya replacement. That's why I went with Jaumez. I couldn't think of one. I've done my scouting on the Semenya replacement. I've got Aziz. He's from Millwall. Oh, yeah. Femi Aziz? Yeah, man. Come on, man. Get him in the fucking ground. Wait, is he at the stylish player? He's also a right winger. Nah, nah, you can play him on the left if you want. So Semenya couldn't do you? He literally scored at Old Trafford, from the right. Nibble. Memi Aziz, mainly off the right.
51:13Yeah, no, you can put him on the left if you want. He'll alternate. You'll put Clive out on the left or something. He's a great player to have. Yeah, true. That's true. That's true. He's going to cook and also, nice little fix. Hey, I'm not saying he's going to be the long-term thing. Sell him for profits. I think you're looking too low. He's not even like... I couldn't think of, I'm not going to lie, I couldn't think of like a player who would go to Bournemouth in this state. By the way, Bournemouth have got a lot of money to spend. Oh, don't they, Tom? Well, they will do that. It's just like...
51:38Don't they. If you look in the championship, though, I know you don't watch it, but Femi Aziz, he's not better than Mikey Johnson or Mekti. Yeah, you just have to manage him right, though. Oh, right. Sorry, yeah. Like you did when you got relegated. Yeah. You boys might have heard of this player from a couple of years ago. Is it Kylian Mbappe? Is it Dele Alli? No, but it is a Como player. Oh, my God. I've just thought of a good one for them. Sorry to put in. Go ahead. Ethan Mbappe? For Leeds? no we're doing Bournemouth oh sorry no sign him who's he at Nice I presume he'll go back to the league he's not on loan from PSG oh I don't know he might be yeah I'd sign him back just to the crack ex-Ramadid he's one of Lake Homo's best players plays attacking mid he can play across the line Nico Paz yeah you heard of him I know you've heard of him Nico Paz he was like a Ramadid yeah he's like one of the top rated players in the league this year Bournemouth Bournemouth have money I think Madrid they could go and get him Is any on loan from Madrid?
52:36He's either on loan or I think... He's not on loan. He's not on loan. I think he's linked back recently because he's been good. It's either him or some other... No, he plays for Lil Ethan and Bapak. They should go and get him. Signed him. Yeah, they should go and get him. For the name. No, but they could afford him. Bournemouth have fucking dough. I know, that's what I'm saying. Get Nico Paz, mate. Yeah, but Nico Paz, he isn't like a light for Semenya. No, but I didn't want to think of a Semenya replacement because it hasn't gone yet. As in like, I also just thought you play someone who crossed the board, you can fill in multiple positions kind of have to project kind of horny yeah that's pretty fucking horny bro he's fucking good Spurs Conor Gallagher yeah I'll put Buwadi I've actually went with I know he's not going to go on I suggested him for Brighton last time we did like buy and sell but he's the little kid isn't he don't know 17, 18 he's a little kid that is not what Spurs need no they need experience what do you mean an 18 year old they need experience no but he's like he's like new up and coming one of the best tens in Europe kind of vibe well he's 8-10 but I went and put I know in real life he's not going to go but I said Semenyo I still think you should go for him mainly because in my list I haven't got Liverpool or City going for Semenyo you've only got Chris Wood and Semenyo I think going at Conor Gallagher he's been in and out the team I need Atleti this season not a bad shout out I've got a similar sort of vein I've got Testeghan out of the Barcelona side I'll put him for someone else he doesn't play for Barcelona he played like 9 games last year he's been found out as being the snitch what that Barca have had a problem where like apparently they were leaking teams and then the manager said to Stegen like the wrong team and that one got leaked oh no way well I think they just need they need a better goalie than Vicaria to Stegen's experience will provide hopefully a bit of solidarity to the back go get him sons solidarity good shout thanks mate Brentford I've gone for a backup for Thiago I think if he's out and we know he can't really play two games a week three games a week Johnny Kenny young Celtic striker Was that the Shamrock Rauvers?
54:32Never heard of him. The Rauvers. Rauvers. He's number nine at the moment. I don't watch that. The Rauvers. I've got Badgetich from Liverpool. Nice, up-and-coming, versatile, central player. Oh, fuck. Badgetich? A young lad, eh? Yeah, a young lad. I didn't know if he's injured. He's class. I might get rid of him. For a good price. For a good price to Brentford. I don't know. I thought... Or even on a little loan. I don't know if he's injured. I didn't know that. yeah he's he's out till he got a hamstring injury in August he's out till the end of December oh well he's back for the transfer window they ain't gonna sell him mate oh wait they might he's not even at Liverpool wait what he's at Liverpool he was at Liverpool oh he was on loan at Las Palmas last year and he Liverpool might want to raise a bit of funds they're doing a lot of transfer business at the moment they might want to raise a bit of funds Badgetich will bring another little money not in the first team yeah they might get quite a lot from Salah though to be fair that is true Danny Kenny that is true just reiterating Johnny Kenny be a good striker yeah has everyone said the Brentford ones no I mean I've got defensive strengths down but probably like Sergio Dest Sergio Dest I think they just need a backup striker I think they need a midfielder if Thiago gets what Strand Larson Strand Larson I think I've got a really good one for them versatile can play multiple positions he's too good for the championship Hayden Hackney he might want to stay at Borough because they might go up so I don't know yeah they'll live a good life Newcastle United Kobe Manu Kobe Manu I have Manu I've got Bowen yeah I like it I'd love Bowen I like it a lot you'd have to sell a longer which might be hard to get just money for don't sell him just sack him would Manu go on loan?
56:19I think he would no what they wouldn't lawn him to us they won 50 or 60 million for him I just don't see Manu going Newcastle because Manu United will see Newcastle as like competitive for their position I think for the money I feel like for the money they accept 60 million business exactly business is business I mean it's not stopped them before has it they gave Gornacho to Chelsea we've done business with them we give them Debravka and Lorne Everton I've gone with Bobby Thomas centre half at Coventry arguably the best they've got Bravway coming back though very very soon I know but he's now's the time to get in because Cov are probably going to go up he suits their style would Coventry sell though I think yeah If Everton come in for Bobby Thomas And it's enough money Thomas will force them Would him leave in heart Everton are a huge club No no Would him leave and scare Coventry from getting promoted Possibly I still think Coventry may fall off Hot take But He's been quality He's been so good for them I think
57:50He's a good got because they need a new striker and you're going to think I'm crazy, but a little experience in the team. Don't say Chris Wood. No, Chris Wood, a Bamiang. He is cooking in France right now with Marseille. Yeah, she is. He is cooking. No, but that's a really stupid suggestion. Get a Bamiang in. No, I think he likes Marseille. I know obviously Barry doesn't necessarily look too great on the ice, but wasn't he fairly close to getting him a record transfer? It's like 30 million. Yeah, sack him. Every time I'm not sacking a Langer and you're not sacking Barry, then what the fuck are we doing but also just is it a bit like how much his wages will be so good yeah probably 200 grand a week or something like come on he won't be on 200 he's old now Aubameyang will be on minimum 100 grand a week yeah Everton can afford that but 36 year old mate well they're a bit desperate Aubameyang would get some beast they're not desperate at all Everton are not desperate Barry's shit mate Bettle's fucking shit Barry tries hard that's cute I've actually gone for another I've got actually I don't know if I'm allowed to do this got a loan I think they should loan someone yeah well I think they should go in for Savino on loan oh and I think he might do it do you think they've let him go because he's not he's not favoured there at the moment but he's good enough yeah he's getting game time though isn't he no I know but I think I think I think Pep likes him towards the end game but with Dewsbury Hall's injury you know and with Jai off to AFCON as well I don't think it's a bad idea I think Pep just with him it's a good idea I just don't think City would do it I think he'd want to cover his own back you don't need to get rid of him do they Brighton oh I've got one for Brighton oh Tom we might have the same player I ain't got one for Brighton oh we might we won't the most bright and coded player I've ever seen the best player I've seen in the championship this season in my opinion and I don't think he'd be that much Imran loser at Watford he's a loser what's his position he's a centre mid but like he's left footed Moroccan he's like he you know like he reminds you of one of them lads like you go out power league and you just can't get near him he's just he's not fast or nothing but oh fuck me he's an absolute baller he's only 26 like I think I don't think he'd be that much primitive years and I think he can play in the 10 but he can play deep because he's so technical I just think god he'd be perfect for providing him and it's not that far of a journey I've got a centre mid replacement because obviously if Believer's going to get bought for however many I don't think Believer's going to go Bogard and Villa because if Villa offload him they'll get sort their finances a little more as well you losing your voice yeah I lost it on Saturday are you going to cry sounds like you're going to cry sorry no I'm crying do you need to cough cough it out cry I want you to cry in front of me now I didn't know what to say for Brighton I just said any random wonder kids so let's say Mikey Moore he's just not going to I love the depth I genuinely didn't know what to say for Brighton it's like they always sign I think the old skit Premier League So you say the Spurs wonder kid would never ever get sold by them I said that as a joke Thomas I just said some random wonder kid Just a little Good joke Take a little easy there Take a little easy there Boys let me tell you about this guy Okay A player he's never watched Nilsson Angulo Ah He's 22 He's a left winger but he can play across the front line Okay Pays for Anderlecht He's Ecuadorian Oh so he's already Do you know what I'm saying?
1:01:19He's one of Andalek's best players this season Brighton You might have already had the radar on him To be fair Nilsson Angulo Do you see what I'm saying? Nice What foot is he? He's left footed Tom No he's not By left I mean left footed Man United Crystal Palace He's right footed Crystal Palace I think they could do a little deal of Arsenal here recall someone who's not really getting the game time at Fulham and changes loan to Palace who's that Rhys Nelson oof right I've gone with Oscar Bob on loan oh interesting I've said Joe Willock I'll put Nathan Ake if a certain someone else goes yeah that's a really good shout I like that a lot I like it I like it I like it a lot who did you say Joe Willock nice yeah I think and that will open up the past transfer that I said for Maynard to Newcastle.
1:02:16See, mine works in the same universe right now. He's got Chris Wood for every other club. No, Chris Wood's only in a... He's just a joke, guys. Only on three clubs. He's just in a three-club race, Chris Wood. Man United, I've gone with Elliot Anderson. Oh! I mean, I've got two names, but... I think Elliot Anderson... It depends which position they want to strengthen. I mean, they're both from Palace. It's Wharton and Munoz. You can't have two. No, I know, but... So you have to pick one. Adam Warton. You have a little snot hanging. Yeah, I don't want to say because he always gets embarrassed when you mention it.
1:02:50We've done it anyway. No, I saved you for the edit though. Sorry, yeah. Right, I went a bit silly with Man United but this team has financial troubles. This player's already been linked with having to leave to part for that money. Man United should go and get Rafinha. Big money move. He's linked away. They have financial struggles. They might be forced to sell a major player and if they are to sell someone... But also Man Utd, like out of all the positions Man Utd need, it's not a winger. I know, but Man Utd, they've got Abuelo, Cunha, Diallo. I know, but I don't feel like they really care. If you have the opportunity to get a big player like that, they probably just get him.
1:03:28Yeah, but we're doing what we think they should get. I think they should get Rufignan, yeah. All right. I mean, I feel like any club should get Rufignan. You think the profile that Man Utd need out of everything is like a left-hand? What I'm saying is there's certain players in the world who are so good, you just ignore what you need and you get. It's like why Liverpool wrongly got Isaac but it's like he's so good at his ability. So you're telling them to do the wrong thing that Liverpool do? I believe that's what they will do because they're silly. You can play him in the six. Play him wherever the fuck you want, mate.
1:03:55Right. It's fucking base mode. Nice. He doesn't even play that formation. It's fine. He's changing. I really don't know where he'd fit in. He wouldn't fit in. It's really like Diallo at the moment. He doesn't fit in. Play Cunha in the centre for a Mondele. You're going to play Rafinha in the left wing back. They play with two tens and they don't play with a left wing they don't play with a winger Lewis Yeah he's already adapting now I remember these days He's starting to conform Not to having wingers he has wing backs Well you never know I think it's a really obvious player they should go and get the injured Munoz They need a new right wing back and he's the best in that position How long is he out for though?
1:04:31Don't know He's basically said as well in interviews that he wants to go to Man United He just said Sergei you're out for a couple of months Possibly the best fit for the position they need most But they should even at the end of the season they should get Maniol he fits the team he's the perfect player for that football I agree I mean yeah Sunderland I'd put nobody they would have to sign anyone I mean it might sound silly saying it but Bergvall on loan I know he probably won't leave come on Vee what are you doing I can't leave it empty I'd put nobody I don't think they should sign anyone I agree with you but if they were to sign someone Villagin Ipswich forward line bolster attack.
1:05:11He's already shown he can't do it in the promo. He's looking good for this season. In the championship. I went a bit rogue. Orby from Man United. Just a youngster backup striker. Didn't know who to say for them really. Orby's good. But I'll say to Tom they signed so many players. I'm still getting used to who they have and what they need. They've got fucking big Broby up front mate. They don't need him. Liverpool. Gay. Mark Gay here. Gay here. Indeed. Gay here. Right, moving swiftly on to Chelsea. I've gone four, back up in midfield to get Rhys James back at right back. Joao Gomez. Mmm. I think Wolves are going to get pillaged.
1:05:52Pillaged. They won't. They're only going to lose like three players. Well, three of the best players. If you watch them. Pillaged shit. Well, if you think about Chelsea, what do they have? They have a striker who's not really a striker, right? You want that big talisman to lead them forward? You say Chris Wood. Not Chris Wood. Dan Larson. The even better one. Stranathen. Carver-Lewin to Chelsea. It's not going to happen though, is it? It's my opinion of who they should sign. Generally, you put Carver-Lewin in that team, he'd score so many goals. He'd score so many goals. But that's not the style of football that they play.
1:06:23No, but like Joe Pedrolyan gets bullied and he's not really that... They want a talisman. Yeah, but Carver-Lewin's great because he's always in and around it in the box. That's why he's performing when he leaves. They put some balls in the box with the ability there on the wings. They don't really do that that much. They should get an injury-prone striker to replace De Laat who's injured I mean obviously he's playing better this season but I still think they need an improvement on the keeper so I went for Mike It's hard to do Mike Nan Yeah I don't mind that I've gone with Lautaro Martinez Fucking hell Tom that'll be a finally get him to the prem I'll just I'll be like 80 million He feels like a Chelsea sign No I know what you mean but he'll probably just go there and just be shit He's another one of those he's good but is he good No yeah he's I've never seen him play well he only plays well when I don't watch But he would cost so much money.
1:07:11But not when you watch him. But he would cost so much money. Shredding is nothing. Yeah, I think you're looking at 100 mil probably, yeah. Minimum. For Arsenal Villa, they shouldn't really sign anyone because they're fucking bankrupt a little bit. Yeah, but who would you suggest? Chris would. To start over Watkins. What are you doing? I don't think... Well, it's the same like you said about something. Like they shouldn't sign anyone, so I just threw a random move. Like they shouldn't. Like they can't afford to. They're doing really well. but that's exactly where I put Vernon Johnson out out of the Spurs side I mean they've got John McGinn right wing that's why I said it John McGinn he's playing out of position he's doing a good job but he's playing out of position I think they should go for Testegon like you said about Spurs because I think Martinez might leave but not in January if you can't get Testegon in January that would really piss off Martinez though wouldn't it I think Martinez is going to leave one way or another so get prepared I think I know where he's going as well because their backup's so bad in it that'd be zot Marco Bezos I think Do you reckon Martin Let's go into Miami Yeah probably Do you reckon That would be a cool link up Yeah fair enough Called it Fucking loves him as well Wow that's such a fucking Crazy prediction I think we might have The same name For Man City guys No 3 2 1 De Jong Elliot Anderson No I went with Adam Warton I'd say Gihie or Bastogne Oh City and United I swapped over then Interesting I'd say Gihie or Bastogne He's just a nice I think Warton He's just the perfect player For City Warton's a great man I didn't know why He could go over in January He'll go eventually to Manchester City Money talks mate Shit Money talks Dirty cash I want you Dirty cash Need you well Dion would be good though As with Elliot Anderson I think Dion's He's like in and out of Barcelona I know but Last couple games he's been in Then he's been on the bench He's just I don't know if he's going to be there Is he fully fit though?
1:08:54I don't know Yeah he's fully fit He's played 290 minutes in a row now So he's not in and out of the squad No but prior to that He was like benched for ages Fair enough Yeah Arsenal Semenyo I wrote Semenyo I think it's hard because you just basically have everything I mean you can see either Semenyo or Jimenez the final piece of the puzzle Jimenez well you bring Jimenez in and then they they brought in Strand Larson they brought in Strand Larson then you just can let Yukarez go to the reserves also are not going to buy Jimenez are they no but he's doing it based off his previous few weeks of them no it's my opinion of what you should do I'll go with Ilyman and Joy it's not a bad idea on the line play anywhere on the wing left wing but he can play anywhere so he's a bit versatile as well You can play the winger I wonder what yous do So we've all gone for a winger I think a left winger And you've gone Yeah you get him and Ezra I mean you can see us Emmanuel But it's like Really the problem is The big man Let us know in the comments Who you think your teams Or not your team sign Who do you think West Brom should buy?
1:09:51I don't know Jesus Christ himself Fair enough That still wouldn't help us We need Superman Hi everyone This is The 2025 and 25 awards show. We're waving. What's going on here? No. Nah, end of season awards. You can put it on if you want, mate. I mean, you can put it on. Right, the categories are for this. We're going to do player of the year, manager of the year, flop of the year, moment of the year, shock of the year, best take of the year and worst take of the year. And notice how I said year. Yeah. Not season. No. It's a year. I mean, I've done year because that was on the prep and then it got changed whilst I was getting my head up.
1:10:42I have also done year. It's a year. It's whatever happens in the year. I don't know what's going on. It can't be season. Oh, I changed mine to season. That makes no sense. Genuinely doesn't make sense. I have elements of both. No, I did year and then he said in the chat, do season. It's year. It's the year. It's anything that happened in 2025. I'm just no. Why are you looking at me like I'm speaking Arabic? I agree with you. Also, if you do it based off stuff that's happened this season, it will have been in 2025. No, no, no. I agree with Tom here and Lewis. I disagree with you. He's a shirt when he has a shirt on.
1:11:10You're the one that suggested it. No, I didn't. Yes, you did. I think you did, actually. You're the one that suggested it. I just agreed with you. Boys, relax. Oh, he's gaslighting. Kicking it off with... By the way, this is all Premier League. We haven't done, like, the world because we don't watch anything other than the Premier League. That's true. How about player of the year? It's player of the year Are we doing as usual? It's the motherfucking player of the year He's the best player in the fucking Premier League this year Yep, correct Are we doing the usual three nominations Then we each put one forward Indeed you're only You know the schedule I'll just put a name for each Oh no, it's three Guys, we're going to have to have a bit more Like, chat before we do this show Well, I'm sorry, he doesn't say that there Yeah, he does in the chat in the group chat.
1:11:58Same format every year. It's not in there, but it's always we put three forward and then we combine them. And also, you know the pitch side group chat we have? Like we said it in there. Yeah. I don't read that. Right. Either way, these will be put into a poll for you guys to vote on the pitch side tweets account. So that's pretty decent. Yeah, it's called pitch side tweets. Pitch side tweets account. I think it's what it's called. Go on then. Tweety. Right. Who's going to go first then, Dal? Harland. Yeah, he's one of mine. I have Harland, Rice and Gabriel. I have Morgan Rogers, Forden and Haaland for this year well I was halfway through having a change from like the argument that we had in chat so like mine's a bit of a mismatch now do you still think he's top three for the season alone then for coming back from how bad he was and to his top level now yeah I think he's interesting and also we have to get a variation for the poll don't oh yeah I've got Haaland Rice and for this season Rhys James and the year yeah no Well, I did have Gabriel, but I changed it to Rhys James.
1:12:55But I got Harland and Rice. Rhys James is a great shot. I know you love that one. Rhys James. Well, interesting. How are you playing this season? Well, I think I'm going to put forward Harland. I wonder who might win that. Who are you going to put forward? Declan Rice. I'm going to put forward Margaret Rodgers. I'll put forward Rhys James. Fucking sensational. There you go. Choose your favourite. Who would we agree? It's Erling Harland. I think it's Harland. Erling about Harland. Either season or year, it's Erling Harland, isn't it? It is Harland. But I feel like some people are bored of Harland, so the Paul might not reflect it.
1:13:23I think Rice has a big shout. Yeah, Rice is good. He's good at football, I think. Nice analysis. Manager of the Year! Glasner. Who's your other two? I don't have any. Mine was specifically for the season, so I've actually put Unai Emery, Reggie Libri and Mikel Oteta. You don't have Glasner in for Manager of the Year. Reggie Libri is a good shot, actually, but not Premier League. These segments, in terms of player, manager and flop, were for this season alone, so I'd done it wrong well I've got Emery for him being very good I've got Eddie Howe for ending the 70 year trophy spell and I've actually got Slott in because although he's a bit shit this year he won the Premier League on his first year about a huge I think if I was to do three I'd have Glasner Glasner, Slott and Ange because he won I did have Ange I removed him for Spurs which is crazy I did have Ange just a crazy achievement I've incorporated the year and the season because the season is in the year I've got Glasner, Emre and Reggie Labrie Emre?
1:14:26Emre Chan? Emre Unai Interesting, who are you going to put forward then? I'm going to put forward Glasner Oh well I need to do that because I haven't got that No, it doesn't matter Put forward then I can't, what are you doing? You should have done your fucking job I didn't know it was three Learn to read a text I'm going to put forward Eddie Howe Fuck me No, he ended a 70 year trophy draw What are we talking about? By the way A 70 year trophy drought ended Year in there Did he? Yes he did And Champions League Why don't you ever mention that? Who do you ever mention? Reggie LeBrie, Emery and Glasner You can't have Reggie LeBrie Spend half the season in the championship You can't say Glasner Of the years You can't say this season You question how then You say Reggie LeBrie?
1:15:06I said Reggie LeBrie This season is in this year You want to troll Unai Emery Well I'll put Slott forward then No you put Glasner forward you said Or have I done that? You've done that You've refused me to do it I thought I was joking. I thought I was joking. I was joking with myself. So we got Glasner, Howe, Una Emery, Una Emery and Slot. I like the way you said Howe there. In 2025, you got a trophy in Champions League, man. It's a really good year. That is a pretty good year. Ended a spree that people thought would go on forever. How's it going this season? Right, moving on to flop of the year.
1:15:43Jokeres. Yeah, I've got Jokeres, Izak and Sesko. put Isaac Verts and Wolves oh yeah because he didn't define a player didn't say a specific player outside the box I like that I've got Isaac Verts and Ilanga ooh I did think Ilanga but he's just like too much money and not enough money so do you agree with me I think he's in competition but not a nomination for a fucking div hey he's nice he's shit up for stars sorry and his name's What's your order? What's the order you've done? I've got Jokerez, Izak and Sesko. I just don't get how you didn't even have him in your top 10 transfers of all time though.
1:16:24Like from this season for you as well. You've nominated your one player. What do you mean, sir? Why don't you didn't have Jokerez in your top 10 worst transfers? I did. What? Oh, what? No, I don't know. No, Lewis didn't. You didn't have him and now you're suddenly putting him flopper. He still flopped from how big he was built up. Yeah, but that would incorporate you'd surely have 10 people in your top 10 transfers of the season. He's in that. I don't think Alanga's flopped as hard. A few weeks has gone since then. He's been even worse. He's scored. I think Alanga's flopped as hard as Yikarez.
1:16:49He scored a penalty and then got dragged, stinker and hooked. Why didn't you put him in the list there at the time? Because it's because Alanga's a worse transfer, but he hasn't flopped as hard as Yikarez. That's a very good point. They're two different things. Fucking as. They are different things. The expectation was way higher for Yikarez than it was Alanga. Agreed. Right, I'll put Yikarez forward. because he's crap. Wolverhampton Wanderers. Well, Isaac. That's nice. That'll be a tough one, you know. That is a tough one. Who the fuck wins that? Who's going to win that one? That is anyone's game.
1:17:23That's wide open, that. I think Isaac will win it. That is now worth only 50 million quid. Good one, bro. What is the moment of the year I've gone with Sunderland beating Newcastle? Yeah, I went Volta Mata own goal in a derby after a whole stream Lou dedicated himself to Volta Mata. Rice, Real Madrid free kick. There he is. Live in the Flesh and Beardless Tom Beardless Tom I love how your memory works I wish I had your memory I've got Tarkalski's equaliser in against Liverpool final day at Goodison Park Dan Byrne head of us It's your moment of the year It's one of the moments it's quite a cool moment it's not going to get nominated by me but it's the last game of Goodison for the day It's quite significant I thought they were like personal moments though No just moments in the year of football this one's a bit personal Dan Byrne's header against Liverpool in the League Cup final and Ange winning the Europa League I did have a fourth of Tom Chiven's but it's been sad your moments of the year only included one Newcastle one personal moment not even when you win the League Cup no but like the moment was Dan Burns header that was the that was a huge moment and it's being in Dan Burns Dan Burns scoring a finesse up from his head I didn't want to just do three Newcastle ones we all know which one I'm going to nominate I got Rice's free kick against Real Madrid, both of them.
1:18:43That was just like... Second one in the flesh. Just like, oh, fucking yes. I got Palace winning the FA Cup for Stannard. It was a really nice moment from one of my best friends. Way to make it about yourself, mate. I was really happy for them, as a club as well. Get in there and make it about you. By making it about Crystal Palace. Weird. Aren't you ex-Palace though? Aren't you a previous Palace player? Nope. And then I've got Gabriel's winner versus Newcastle 2-1 and then second to that Marino's equaliser against Newcastle small club mentality that life nah your smugness I've got winning a trophy and you've got scored against the mighty Newcastle even that still rattled him just then I mean I just think it's levels I had a fourth one of Theo's laptop into it as well that wasn't this year I was going to do it was it not no it wasn't this year I've seen the comments on another video I was like this is the average I've seen Theo since Lewis touched the laptop you break my laptop yeah I've assaulted it.
1:19:40Get off my laptop. Get off it. Also, Martin Ely's goal against Bayern Munich. I'm not allowed to have that. I'm going to nominate... What are you nominating, Reeve? Martin Ely's goal against Bayern Munich. You're going to say Beardless Tom. Your moments are... No, I'm not going to say Beardless Tom. He didn't put that in his three. No, you said it, Tom. I'll go Beardless Tom then. I'll go Sunderland beating Newcastle. I'm going Dan Burnteller versus Liverpool cup final. What are you going for? Beardless Tom. Oh. Beardless Tom. Rice Rice free kick Versus Real Madrid Yeah Wow What a trophy Classic arse It's a tight Tight to the Gabriel winner That was just so sweet It was just like Right You are It's true though You felt that They were great free kicks But it led to fuck all I'm talking about Gabriel's winner Against Newcastle Yeah what'd that lead to Led to fuck all What'd that lead to Well being top of the league We'll see it at the end of the year What was being What's everyone's best It is the end of the year That's my fucking point when we're doing this.
1:20:38I've actually only managed to find one good take and it's a bloody good one. Do you want me to play it? No, we got shock of the year. We got shock of the year. Oh, shit. Yeah, shock of the year. I've gone with Liverpool's drop-off. Oh, okay. I went three. Sunderland, good shock. Cavaloo in good shock. Newcastle, bad shock. What's Newcastle's bad shock? It's just been really bad. We're in the semi-final in good place. It's not that bad. We're not the League Cup semi-final. But we are. It's really not that bad. At the start of the season you just haven't been good at all I mean that's fair I don't think it's bad enough for I think that's a bit harsh personally that's doing alright I've got Newcastle it's not only a nomination guys I got Newcastle winning the first trophy in 70 years not a shock though you predicted that it's a bit of a shock to the football you predicted it it's a footballing award to the world I think we all thought Newcastle winning the league cup you don't have to put Newcastle for everything that wasn't that much of a shock yes Newcastle winning the cup first time in 70 years you predicted it it's really not that and we all thought Halle's been in the Cups a shock.
1:21:36Yeah, that would go in. I've got Isak quitting football. That was shocking to me especially. Shocking to me. Then finally Arsenal finishing second. That's not a shock. Yeah, it was shocking. You said you were going to win the quad. I think he's saying shock. If us bottling it is not a shock, let's be honest. Let's be real. You bottled it then. Is that what you're saying? Let's be real here, Tom. Did you bottle it? Put everything on the table and leave nothing outside. So you're saying your club bottled it? Is it a shock? No. Did you bottle it? Yeah. You bottle a while. Imagine saying that about your...
1:22:06It's not a shock though, is it? You're actually fucking... Hang on. I think higher about Arsenal than you do, apparently. Lewis, guys, one thing to you. You predict Arsenal every year to bottle it and finish second. Just for a joke, mate. I've always backed you to win it. So was that a shock when it happened to you? I was so surprised, mate. I couldn't believe it. You are... I couldn't believe it. You are someone else. You might win the... You are really... This might be your first trophy that you win on this vote. I might actually change my Newcastle one to Lewis quoting something that isn't Sky Sports Keith.
1:22:32Keith. That wouldn't be a shot. I suppose Keith's a goal, man. All right, my shocks of the year are Crystal Palace winning the FA Cup. That's why none of you had that in. I only did one, didn't I? I think Liverpool's drop-off's more shocking. Well, I've also... I put Liverpool's signings all flopping, which is basically their drop-off, essentially. And then the other shot is Sunderland start to the Premier League. Very shocking, yeah. Right, which one are we nominating? I'll put Liverpool's drop-off because that's my only one. Calvert-Lewin. I'll post forward Arsenal finishing second That's not shocking Well we'll see what the viewers think It's them voting on the poll Let them have the say Palace winning the FA Cup I should have gone with Sunderland Fuck Yeah I thought you were going to do that Damn No one expected Palace to win the FA Cup No but I The first trophy Ever Yeah I think it is That's a good shout Yeah Moving on to best take Again I've only found one I've got two Would you like me to play Have you got clips from it as well Well I've only done one Because I didn't realise We were doing three I could have definitely found three Okay guys My best take Is it from you perhaps?
1:23:36No it's actually I think Tom and I Right That seems unlikely No we both agreed on something Which I know is rare But we called Silas drop off this season Yeah I mean I call it every year though So I'm not really Claming that I just think maybe He had a fantastic season Last year But he didn't Even though he got The goals and assists He didn't You're right He didn't look He's always a shit that's a pure agenda coming out hear that it's just also father time catches up with everyone i think it finally might have done but is he not inevitable like it does always just end up that's what i'm saying i think maybe this yeah did we not see him last year is like maybe this yeah no i just think he's gonna find me he's not gonna do till he's 60 is he it is it's a fair argument yeah i know the same argument and he still gets a 95th We do all the time.
1:24:29It's Messi and me. No, not anymore. It's Messi and Ronaldo longevity. Of course, but he's so bad. But this is the inevitable argument. He's still the one. I said this will be the last season at Liverpool, and it might well be. Nice. He actually is, isn't he? He's off after Africa. Yeah. I'd just nominate Tom Cole and Forrest's fall off. Oh, I like that one. Well, it was us three versus Tom and they are. But he might be back. I'd put Tom and Forrest as well. Tom's Forrest down four, and then I also put Lewis Cole and he's active flop. I also called it when Forrest were third it's actually a pretty crazy take it was good enough for us to remember it as the best take just so you feel better and I don't come across a nod play devil's advocate here did you not I have put myself on worst take as well was it December last year you started that why do you want to call technicalities well when you get I'm proud just outside the box it goes in for a penalty alright then I'll just go on Tom and Forrest in the summer when I said they'd be in the bottom half and Nuno get the sack yeah I like that My worst take is Oh we're doing best take Oh sorry We're doing best take No I've got a different one I only have Tom's forest on I've only got that as well That's a two of them I'll also put You calling these And then you've got Us calling Salad to drop off And I had his last season At Liverpool That's pretty good And then We only think of another one Don't we We just do three In this category You can do Paul three It's funny when there's Less best takes Yeah Do you know what the thing is though There's actually a lot of our best takes come on stream.
1:25:57Yeah. Yeah, and we can't remember them and people don't clip on them. I can't lead to win. Yeah, you said they'd be. Is that really what was you also in the prediction show predicted a draw? Yeah. Yeah, that's not me. And he put Sunderland to lose every game. Ah, hang on. Oh, that could be worse too. Aha. Right. How many worst takes we got? I got three. One, two, three, four, five. I got four. I got five. You go last. Okay. you're going to list five I'll go because I only got one I can think of two though I'll go the second one I can think of is Lewis reverse Mulligan in West Ham yeah that's a good one Newcastle 3 yeah that's I would say we've actually that could be nominated moment of the year that could be and then my actual worst take is my prediction of Wolves yeah I've got that where did you put them 11 I think 11 oh my god and they're the worst team in history in history and I honestly thought they'd be pretty good I thought they'd be alright now Bellegarde though eh
1:27:04four I've got Tom predicting Wolves 11th me predicting Brentford and Sunderland to go down Verts per the season predictions and then Lewis calling Sunderland to lose every game on predictions also Newcastle will win every game as well probably the biggest discrepancy in points margins of all time I think they have 54 points Newcastle when he's going to win the league. On these predictions, they will have won the league by February. I've got Theo insisting there's a conversation to be had on Messi versus Ronaldo. I don't know if you can remember. That was probably your biggest head loss. But that's not...
1:27:36What? I don't even remember. Worst take. Yeah, you were screaming. Yeah, but that's not a worst take. There is a conversation to be had. This was the argument that we were having. That's why there's an argument. Is he's opinion? Right. Why did you get so offended about it? Weird. because I want to film with him one day. Lewis puts Marcelo in all-time right back position. I wasn't there for that yet. Was that this year? I thought that was the year before. What do you think of that? You're a silly goose. And then when I was scanning back again, it seems when I scan, the way I look is through the old TikToks.
1:28:03You have a thing with putting players at right back, didn't you? When we go back through the old TikToks, it's always only Theo Howler or Lewis Howler. Yeah, which doesn't make sense because he has so many Howlers. They don't get clipped. Because all these are on his payroll, like you don't want to do it. Sure, buddy. So I've actually got another Theo one, which made me laugh looking back at it. Shearer is clearly the second best striker and then moving him to sixth two months later. Wait, what? We did an all-time list. You had Shearer second then two months later. I think you had Shearer second.
1:28:33You were arguing like, obviously he's second. Didn't he have Shearer second in his all-time Premier League? Second best player in the Premier League. But then he had him sixth in all-time best striker. Yeah, it was even worse. It did not make sense at all. I don't think that's true. and it's like we were saying yeah in two months what has he done to be less I must have got confused yeah I get confused sometimes you claimed that you'd been enlightened was your defence yeah which was a good way the only way you could have went if I'm honest come on man because I know you spent all morning trying to find things I've got wrong no not all morning all season I've been collecting them oh my god and you've only got five yeah wow yeah I sort of gave up halfway through some of them are a bit premature sure, but I know they're going to be a bad take forever.
1:29:21I don't think that counts. First one is Tom thinking Bayern are going to be shit this season. Currently undefeated in the Bundesliga. By the way, again, that's false. I said they'll flop in the Champions League. And they're second. So? He's got the link for everyone. I stand by this. I'm firm on this. You also meant you hadn't even watched them. I don't even think Dortmund will qualify. But Bayern, I'll go with Bayern. and I think Bayern will be shit this season. In my opinion. It is very different. It is very different, isn't it? You haven't watched them once. You've seen them beat the fucking Union whoever.
1:29:56SG. Oh. Hey, Tom. Oh. You haven't seen them either. What have you thought? They've got no moves. So my opinion's just as valid as you are. I don't think they're that good anyway. I get some angry as well. I don't know. This is old, mate. This is hairless, Tom.
1:30:14By the way, I've realised what's happened here. I stand firm on this. I then go and tell you there are four games undefeated in the league and you didn't even fucking know. Because we were talking about the Champions League though. It's everyone else's worst takes but when Theo's actually contradicting the other point. Yeah. Theo being on the good side of it. I think you're going to look stupid. I've disagreed with you. You think I'm going to look stupid. They're second in the Champions League undefeated in the Bundesliga. They're looking as strong as they've ever been. I don't know why you're bringing up season of the World's League.
1:30:47That was an argument about the Champions League. He gets second in the Champions League. We were arguing who's going to flop in the Champions League. Obviously Bayern will qualify in the Champions League. I think they'll get knocked out in the round of 16 or the quarter. How they look in the leagues does count for something in the Champions League. Next one I've got Lewis saying Salah's going to win the golden boot this year. Who's your top goal scorer this season? Who did I? I can't remember who I put. I have put down the inevitable Salah. Oh, Jesus. Shit, yeah. Didn't you think about that? Oh, shit.
1:31:20Oh, that's not even matter anyways. Even after what he's seen about Christmas on Afton, I feel like Eketika is really, I think you've seen in Community Shield where I'm comforting myself. Just like with that little flicky dude. I feel like Salah's going to find himself with a lot of chances. Oh, that's just after the first game. I've seen one bit of Eketika in Community Shield before. After 11 for ages. I've got another one from you. Oh, yeah. Any from yourself? I couldn't find any. Oh, right. That's weird. He's got his own name. I don't even need to explain this one. I've got a hot take on this game.
1:31:57Oh, my God. Go for it. Right. Arsenal on their high horse at the moment. All like, oh, yeah, we're classing that. I think yous are going to look pretty bad today because this is one of the rare times that you are playing a team that's better than you. Like, in the league, you have never played a team that's actually better than you. It is good logic. As Lewis referencing, he thinks Arsenal are going to get taught a lesson by Bayern Munich to then go on and win 3-1. Didn't that. That really isn't that bad of a take, though. Oh, it is, Tom. Compared to some things that get said earlier. Oh, look at this.
1:32:25It's another big one. Compared to the Shearer one. He predicted Bayern to beat Arsenal. Oh, wow. What a shit time. Don't worry, Tom. You also made another prediction about... Overachievers, which is club, and Newcastle. I was going to say... I could actually say... Not over. You were going to say this there. Again, this is in the Champions League. You think they're going to get semi-finals? Yeah. Jamesy's part, people. I still think they will. You still think Newcastle are going to get semi-final for the Champions League? In fairness, nothing has been real. What have you seen of them this season that thinks they might get semi-final for the Champions League?
1:32:51They've been really good at home in the Champions League. But what about every other game but the Champions League? It's that 12th in the fucking Premier League. Why did... Oh my God. It was that 12th last year. We've just had this debate about the Bayern thing. That, that one that you've fucking saved for how many months to try and... By the way, I'm allowed to use Champions League tapes, by the way. Yes, but don't bring up the league then? Yeah, but that counts for how they play football. It's not when we're talking about that clip is a discussion about our Champions League predictions. Yeah.
1:33:19Why are you talking about Newcastle in the league? You think they're going to get semi-finals of Champions League? I think I said quarter-finals of semi-finals, didn't I? But I'll put semi-finals forward. We're only 12th and we're only two points off the armatic. I wouldn't be strong enough to bet. I'm only in the same games left. But again, you're putting things in that have like that could easily happen. No. That hasn't derailed. That hasn't derailed at this point. Boyan could go out in the round of 16. Would you then agree that they've flopped in the Champions League? I mean, yeah, you have said that.
1:33:51I preempted it earlier, I know, but I'm backing it. Yeah, okay. Right, final one is us doing the best free transfers of all time. Oh, he's bang on, yeah. To Chelsea. Yeah. Gotta be on there, man. And Lewis' number one spot. Fucking Erling Haaland. I like that, Sean. Next, Alaba to Real Madrid. Yeah, again. I don't think I don't want to see what it means but it's not a take it's not an opinion he just got he got a fact rung sorry I believe something to be true that wasn't true to Arsenal I think we know what happened first place for me because of the success to come Harlan to City the most sought after player in world football he wasn't just 51 mil I thought he was free me I swear on my head he was a free you don't think Lewis putting Erling Haaland as the best free transfer of all time it's stupid is a bad take it's not a take I thought he was free he hasn't given an opinion just misinformation it's misinformation it's still wrong it was fake news yeah I understand but as me saying sorry sorry we're trying to have a laugh on this thing that's a fucking bad take it's not a take I think it's a good take do you think that's a taste It's just more lack of knowledge, isn't it?
1:35:09It's thick. Therefore, it's the worst take. No, but takes are usually something you've said. It takes usually an opinion, isn't it? You're defending it. No, he's a fucking idiot. But my point... What's wrong with Alaph on this show? That's a fucking awful take. You put Alaph on one and three transfers. It's not a take. You could argue with fucking anyone. You could. Jesus Christ. It's not a take. Honestly, God forbid we put Alaph on this show. He's put Alaph on the worst free transfer of all fucking time. Of all time. Of all time, he's put Erling Harless. And you're defending. No, I'm not. It's not a take.
1:35:42If that was right, it was good. It's just misinformation. It's one of the stupidest things he's ever said. No, it's just misinformation. But it is. Fuck me. It's not an opinion. Why don't you smile and have a fucking laugh? Jesus Christ. Why are you getting so angry, Red? It's just a bit of banter. I'm just saying, I don't consider that a take. I thought a take was like an opinion. So it was like, if me saying Ward Prowse was a left back. By the way, you said it on that. I got him back. I don't want to go back a few years. but he has been near a touchline you dickhead I looked yeah that was Ward Brown that's not a bad take I know this is I know this is two and a half years ago that's just not having enough information but I was right technically technically that means that wasn't a bad take do you know what I mean he never played the position you said yeah that's just not having the information though Tom that's not a bad take left back maybe no he didn't he did he didn't play right back yeah exactly you fucking smiled you convinced me actually he just didn't have enough information on Ward Brown I didn't have enough information okay do you know what I mean like fucking hell That was originally my son You flipped me You got any more clips?
1:36:39No Aww Why? Just having a laugh With the Earl and Arlen take Pretty bad to be honest Yeah it's one of the worst things He's ever said I just I personally Don't consider that That's all I'm saying I don't consider that a take But you do consider The Wal-Prowse one a take Er Yeah That doesn't add up Because that's misinformation No it's not You thought By the way Let's have a look. He played left back. Wait, what position did you say? Left back. Yeah, he's never played left back. He's just not having enough information, mate. He's never played left back. He fucking has played left back, by the way.
1:37:18I know I've rolled back the clock a bit here. How much do you want to bet on that? I don't want to bet any because I'm not that confident. He has never played left back. He may have played right back. But he just didn't have enough information. He's been near a wing. Do you know what I mean? He said he's never been near a touchline in his life. Pardon me. played right wing for years he did he's a sentiment he played right wing for years sorry we nominate him then because we've got to finish Tom for saying that Ward Prowse never touched a touchline in his life that's the year before it was three years ago two and a half years ago that was old Tom hair three years in August four years soon that was short Tom hair anyway I wasn't there four years ago Okay I'll put me on Wolves Yeah Lewis's Sunderland to Newcastle Discrepancy predictions I'll put forward Theo Shearer I'd love that I'd love that Which one do I
1:38:26I'm going to put Lewis thinking Erling Holland's The best free transfer Of all time That was a stinking take Oh so it's a take now What's in a tear? I was actually right I would have been right Why are you so like Bitty? Relax Come on man It's Christmas It's fucking Christmas In a few days They're really angry It's so much I know I've got no voice Aw Right Theo's gonna go Cry everyone Thanks for tuning in Make sure you like Subscribe You made it to the end Well done you And if you haven't already Hit the follow button Why not Tap it right now For new episodes Every week And if you want to see more Pitchside, you can catch us on YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram by typing in Pitchside.
