They also discuss specific team performances: Liverpool vs Ipswich/Fulham, Newcastle vs Bournemouth, Coventry’s winless start, Fulham’s struggles, City’s chance-concession issues, Spurs’ goalless run, Hull’s setup vs Villa, Everton vs Man United, and Arsenal’s style vs Chelsea.

Guests

No full guest list or biographies are provided in the transcript.

Key claims

  • Liverpool’s front line is clicking; Van Dijk and Gakpo are singled out as major positives.
  • Coventry’s biggest issue is not scoring despite competitive performances.
  • Bournemouth look good but repeatedly drop points via last-minute concessions and poor finishing.
  • Fulham are “in trouble” due to missed chances and defensive/structure problems.
  • Man City create chances but concede too many; Arsenal’s system is more settled and expressive now.
  • Spurs are stuck: no goals, low creative output, and a tough fixture run.

Notable examples

  • Ipswich vs Liverpool: early Liverpool dominance; keeper criticized for second goal.
  • Newcastle vs Bournemouth: Bournemouth should’ve been out of sight; last-minute equaliser theme.
  • Fulham: missed chances again; debate over a viral “line bike” story involving Kenny Tete.
  • City: disallowed/offsides and a near goal-line moment; Enzo Fernandes’ offside tap-in described.
  • Everton vs Man United: late winner disallowed/controversy and “legless” midfield criticism.

0:53Reev:Ah, I'll talk in my normal voice then. And your normal laugh. From Seaford. She's even posher now. That's right. Seaford is a really posh place, guys.

1:02Theo:Some huge resorts of the weekend, boys. Where do we fancy starting? I think we start with the tractor, boys. Sure. First game of the week, yeah. Ipswich at home to Liverpool. I mean, you've just gone... You're already on the tractor. Appreciate the prep already, mate. We were already on it. We were already on it. I'm actually fuming. Isaac is back! He's not here to retort.

1:22Lewis Bowden:that Lewis actually

1:24Tom Garratt:might actually still be a good player yeah we gave him the benefit of the doubt they were a bit I thought the keeper could have done better oh the keeper was shocking especially for the second one I thought

1:32Reev:yeah I know it's like 3-3 now for Isaac but are we getting a little bit too excited for him I'm not getting excited but basically

1:41Theo:everything we said he's right and he is absolutely a confidence player so the fact that he's scoring just means he's going to play well since Lewis said

1:49Lewis Bowden:he's done and he's finished and we can't give him many more greats. He scored three and two.

1:55Reev:Do you know the craziest start? You know, it was the earliest Liverpool player had netted twice in a Premier League game since Maxi Rodriguez. Against Fulham. And actually,

2:05Theo:speaking of Fulham, they look in disarray, but we'll get into that later. Yeah. Liverpool are playing Fulham next, mate. He could get four. By the way, since them goals went in, Ipswich was just fine.

2:14Tom Garratt:It was still alright, man. I actually think they've had one of the best transfer windows. Yeah, I think it was just a bit of a...

2:20Reev:Well, Keeb has got a damn better. it was just a mental first 10 minutes wasn't it but I thought Ipswich were absolutely fine they did well to keep it

2:26Lewis Bowden:they were competitive

2:27Reev:and Cicero was good again

2:28Lewis Bowden:I thought they showed moments Halacius was good as well the problem is in this league

2:31Theo:if you as I say switch off the first 5-10 minutes in the game yeah

2:35Lewis Bowden:but a lot of a lot of the promoted teams would have lost that 5-0 yes absolutely I've seen Albion do it so many times you get two down and it's so hard to think

2:45Theo:even Hull though are going to break the Chelsea well no

2:47Lewis Bowden:obviously not Hull not the mighty Tigers I think the average promoted side could have like really crumbled there but I thought they were really competitive I thought it was a good game actually

2:56Reev:yeah absolutely I think it's quite similar to Coventry City as well I thought Coventry were well in that game they could have scored three the game could have been 3-0 for Coventry City I don't remember just having a bit of fun but you know

3:07Lewis Bowden:I think Ipswich have got a good chance there man they look really well drilled do you think

3:12Theo:even with the fast start that Hull have had to the Premier League season Ipswich are the most likely out of the three to compete

3:20Lewis Bowden:I still think it's really close at all three. I wouldn't get too worried about Coventry the way they played the weekend but I think Coventry have had the worst transfer window. That's the problem. They've also had the hardest start. True.

3:33Theo:Arsenal and City. Yeah, but they had Hull. They should have won that game at Hull. Yeah, Hull have had... No, that's the three points. The concerning thing for Coventry... Hull have had Coventry,

3:39Reev:Villa and United. The concerning thing for Coventry probably is that they've been playing well in these games especially against City. They've played really well but they're still on zero points. Yeah.

3:47Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but again two of those games you'd have ripped off anyway. The whole one will hurt and that will sting them still.

3:52Reev:Do you think we're in store this season for quite a big shake-up in whom potentially might go down? Oh, yeah, 100%. It could be two teams

4:02Theo:that have been in the Premier League for a while. Yeah, we could see some established teams.

4:04Reev:But watching all three promoted teams, do you actually fancy them to give it a proper go this season? Whereas if you look at the likes of maybe a Fulham or a Crystal Palace...

4:12Lewis Bowden:I will still say, though, even saying that, I know maybe not so much Ipswich, Coventry still haven't scored. Yeah. That is massive. And Cole haven't conceived. Yeah, but... And those chances they missed the weekend. You can't not... One of them, you've got to... Especially the one-on-one.

4:29Tom Garratt:Radoni and Awanyu. I actually think Radoni's is easier, though. Nah, Awanyu should do better. He's got to get on target. Yeah. He's put it wide. He's not even worked on a rumour. I worry for Coventry at the minute.

4:41Theo:Should we go back to Liverpool as an entity, though? Yeah. is this obviously easier teams are far like you're more likely to build momentum off the back of playing those do you think this is the start of Irayola ticking with the players he's got

4:58Reev:they've got exciting forwards now I think Munoz looks good good Barcollo was sharp when he came on Islet's looking well I think also a key thing for them is they've just got the best centre-off but also Gatpo was playing well Gatpo was immense I thought that was one of Van Dijk's best ever Van Dijk was so good He's quite insane. He makes it look so easy. And Gakpo, again, is just... The fact that they kept him as well.

5:19Lewis Bowden:Yeah, I've never understood the hate with Gakpo.

5:22Tom Garratt:He starts every game. He's just a good player. He can be a bit inconsistent last season. He can be, but...

5:28Theo:And versatile. He's always... Across the front three.

5:30Lewis Bowden:It's very rare Gakpo will go a game without even nearly scoring or nearly assisting. Semi-influenced. He's always influencing the game. I really rate him. I just don't like him down the middle.

5:41Theo:He has to be wired. He will have to do that, though, I think, for a bit this season. because Izak won't be able to manage the minutes with that in Champions League too much Verts looked a bit better as well

5:49Lewis Bowden:I will say are you not still

Read the full transcript

5:50Theo:pandering a little bit with Verts

5:53Lewis Bowden:I'm still done with him he played okay against Ipswich well done I thought NC so I played better than him well you know

6:01Theo:what will happen he'll play really well in the Champions League because it's against him he gets more time and space but to be fair

6:07Lewis Bowden:they've got Atleti

6:08Theo:but I just mean generally through the league format Verts will get more time and space and people go he's back and then he'll play a Premier League game.

6:15Reev:Early kick-off on Saturday, Newcastle-Bournemouth.

6:17Tom Garratt:Great game again. Really good game. Enjoyed that a lot. Bournemouth should have been out of sight at half-time. Yeah. Really sick.

6:24Theo:They are the bogey team.

6:25Tom Garratt:They're so good to watch though, man. That front four, I've really enjoyed watching Bournemouth.

6:30Reev:But once again, Bournemouth can see the last-minute equaliser and drop points. Yeah. That's every game this season they've dropped points. Yeah. Every single... To a last-minute goal as well. It's like the reverse of Newcastle last year. Yeah, literally. but it's a weird one for Bournemouth because they look so good but they're on two points and they should be on nine. Yeah. They should be on nine.

6:50Lewis Bowden:I mean, that first half from Newcastle was appalling. They were all over the gaff. The first goal they conceded was shocking. They looked too easy to score against Newcastle for me at the minute.

7:03Reev:Yeah, I do agree. The defence isn't as good as a certain man has been telling us.

7:07Lewis Bowden:I don't think it's just the defence. I think as a team, they don't defend well.

7:11Theo:I think

7:13Lewis Bowden:they have a lot of ball watchers I don't like that

7:16Theo:I mean Dan Byrne I know like

7:18Tom Garratt:I've never liked never liked ball watchers

7:20Theo:no as an Englishman it's quite you know cliche to say but I think Dan Byrne returning is probably going to offer them quite a bit of stability where do you play the centre half instead of Botman surely he's the new club captain I think that I think they'll be okay when he's back but Botman leadership in there yeah Botman looks a little bit

7:38Lewis Bowden:I just felt like I don't know if I'm just checking the stats That's because I was just trying to, from my memory, Bottman just kept giving the ball away. Yeah. Didn't he like... He's just sloppy a little bit. Like 11 times you gave the ball away. Yeah, that's mental. That's not even like... And against a team like that who press show high and then are on you, they want that. They want to win the ball high. That's where most of the problems are coming from. But Tavernier was class again. He's so underrated him.

8:04Tom Garratt:I agree. I agree. I see what you're doing here, Tom. We're not doing an underrated list. Here we are. Au revoir. We'll do that next week. Yeah, that's not...

8:13Reev:Oh, it's next week. Oh, yeah. You're foreshadowing next week's episode, I see.

8:17Theo:I see what you've done there. Just dropping it in for us. Quick question. Do you think keeping Alex Scott's one of the best bits of business?

8:24Lewis Bowden:He was the best player on the beach. Yeah.

8:25Theo:As usual, right?

8:26Lewis Bowden:He's fucking class. He's so good. Yeah. Do you have any questions with their depth, obviously, going into Europe?

8:33Theo:Yes. I mean, two games a week now for a side that looks pretty... The first 11's great, but I mean, in terms of who they can bring on...

8:40Lewis Bowden:They're bringing on...

8:41Tom Garratt:Remember they still got Kruppi to come back. He's out for a few months still, isn't he? Yeah, but then they're bringing on... I mean, is that Jebberson? Is he any good? Truffaut was great.

8:51Reev:He is just brilliant. He's brilliant. That bench is not good for Bournemouth. I wouldn't be surprised to see Truffaut get someone to come in for him in January.

9:01Theo:I thought he might get nabbed.

9:03Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but it might be Kirk as tax.

9:06Theo:No, he's better. You reckon? just any left back at Bournemouth just any defender it's a self-amilic prophecy if you become a left back at Bournemouth you're destined to be an offensive ball player at that club centre-half's gone on to do really good things of course they have just a defender

9:24Tom Garratt:at Bournemouth

9:26Theo:and yeah

9:26Tom Garratt:they're going to Evan Nielsen again he just can't finish chances great movement though great stretch of the play

9:33Reev:great hold up

9:33Lewis Bowden:those four are great together I really like them like Clivert's lively Ryan's good but yeah I think not finishing chances could come back to haunt them as he did the weekend really

9:44Reev:another game which had another level of disallowed goals there's so many disallowed goals this weekend busy weekend for VAR I love it

9:52Lewis Bowden:I love it just keep disallowed goals guys it's fun VAR I love it

9:57Reev:that Ballard one keeper's never getting there

9:59Theo:of course he's not but I mean like

10:01Reev:he is offside yeah the ruling is but his keeper's never getting there

10:04Theo:yeah Keller's not getting it but it is what it is He's never getting there.

10:07Lewis Bowden:I know, but...

10:08Theo:That is the argument, though. If I was going to Arsenal, you'd...

10:11Tom Garratt:Oh, side scream it. Exactly.

10:13Theo:It's good to start.

10:15Reev:Obviously, absolutely.

10:16Tom Garratt:Absolutely. Also, they need to sort them socks out. Yeah, it's doing my... Well, I kind of like it, but it is doing my... I don't like...

10:22Reev:They look like they're playing an ankle sock. I was trying to work out, like, where are the guys' socks? Because I saw a tweet about... On the face panel here. Yeah, I saw a tweet about it. I was like... Is he allowed to do that? Then I tried to zoom in. I still can't work it out. Kit's nice, though, isn't it?

10:31Lewis Bowden:Yeah, he's nice. That's a great result for Sunderland, I think. The way Brentford have started. Sangara had a bit of a stinker, though. Yeah, 45 minutes in Hooked. Hooked.

10:39Reev:Yeah, but everyone has sometimes good, sometimes bad.

10:42Theo:I think he's the best player in the world, so I expect more. Yannick's goal. Shinned it. Yeah. Okay, right. Just disagreeing with the commentary a little bit there. Why? He's cut across it. He's meant to pull that to me. I was like, no. He shinned it. He shinned it into the top corner. Looks good, though. It looks great on the first look. Yeah, yeah. Without a replay, it's like, fucking hell. Looks bloody brilliant. Thiago? I'm surprised because that was at three o 'clock.

11:07Reev:Isn't it mad that like...

11:09Theo:I think that World Cup's like... You actually did say that.

11:12Tom Garratt:I think it's...

11:13Theo:So you're one for two now.

11:15Tom Garratt:Sangari.

11:16Reev:Isn't it mad just like...

11:17Tom Garratt:I think Ancelotti's just thinking... I think it scarred him a bit that World Cup. Really, Ancelotti's looking at these two and just thinking,

11:21Reev:what did I do?

11:22Tom Garratt:Yeah. What did I do? He's mental, really, when you think about it. Oh, 100%. But any...

11:26Theo:Yeah. He did have a great season last year, though. Who am I to question Carlo Ancelotti? but at the same time if you're going to pick one

11:32Reev:it's always you have a bit yeah Tiago did have a great season last year

11:35Lewis Bowden:he did but like you could still be like yeah he's still pretty average

11:40Reev:yeah

11:40Lewis Bowden:like Chris Wood scored 20 goals one season he's average he was in the New Zealand squad though

11:45Reev:the New Zealand guy yeah

11:46Tom Garratt:he did go to the World Cup yeah but come on let's let's not take the piss here Colin's got an injury though

11:52Theo:yeah it's going to be a big miss

11:53Tom Garratt:do you know how long he's out for

11:54Theo:no apparently it's a calf calf strain calf injury but calves can be bad

12:00Lewis Bowden:Because they've also got Thingy out, haven't they? Vandenberg. Yeah, they do. But he's back soon, I believe. And Pinnock's gone. I thought they really missed Jensen. Brentford. He makes them tick, I think.

12:12Theo:It's tough because, I mean, when Damsgaard's back and you've got Jan-El Sangare. No, he was injured though, wasn't he? Damsgaard and Jensen.

12:17Lewis Bowden:I still think Jensen probably would have played. Do you think? Actually, I don't know.

12:20Theo:I think Damsgaard's just their number 10, though, isn't he?

12:23Tom Garratt:I love Jensen. What, because of the slicked back hair? Is it because of Damsgaard's haircut, Tom? Yeah, I don't like you said. I hate people with routine hairlines. They wind me off.

12:33Reev:I do think Damsgaard goes a little bit sort of under the radar. Yeah, no, Damsgaard's a great fighter. If he looked a bit sexier, I think he would get more plaudits. 100%. Which is actually kind of mad. Yeah. He's a really talented number 10. Well, that is literally the difference between Jensen and Damsgaard. Yeah. They kind of often do everything. But he's got good head of hair.

12:53Lewis Bowden:No, I just think whenever I watch Jensen for Brentford, I always think he just makes them tick. and I like the way he sets the temper Damsgaard can find a pass I can't even yeah Damsgaard's a great player I'm not and to be fair you're probably right even if Jensson was fit you probably wouldn't play because Janne and Sangari are going to play and then it's Damsgaard and then obviously they've got the pacey wingers but Wattara is shit

13:13Theo:from Wijnald well I mean they've still got Kevin De Bruyne to make an appearance haven't they so your favourite left back of all time he's not played yet has he who oh

13:22Lewis Bowden:Kevin De Bruyne I was wondering what you would do yeah he was on the bench he didn't come on though

13:28Reev:From one 1-0 game with disallowed goals to another 1-0 game with disallowed goals.

13:31Lewis Bowden:Oh, yeah.

13:31Tom Garratt:More goals disallowed. Thanks, guys. Yeah, Brighton leads.

13:34Reev:Leeds, Leeds, Leeds. Leeds, Leeds. See your goals. See your goals.

13:36Tom Garratt:Leeds look really good, right? Leeds do look good.

13:37Reev:You know, Leeds haven't won at Brighton since like... Yeah, literally. With Dean.

13:42Theo:Yeah. Really?

13:43Reev:Yeah.

13:44Theo:Since the With Dean. I mean, that shows you how much they're improving then.

13:47Lewis Bowden:I thought this was a really good, two good team. Yeah.

13:51Theo:And they're quite evenly matched, I think.

13:53Lewis Bowden:Yeah. Which is a testament to Leeds, actually. Yeah. they're now at this level but Brighton have the issue of

13:59Theo:conference league don't they

14:00Lewis Bowden:yeah at the minute yeah again another issue it's just like lurking they've got players

14:06Reev:to come back they've got Hintra to come back they've got Maitoma to come back they've got players do you know what I mean yeah they do Hintra was out for a while

14:11Theo:though in terms of who you could see maybe doing better this season based off the amount of games in the squad that's happened still going to get 18 don't worry about it if he gets those every game then he'll miss them

14:25Reev:that's the whole yeah but some

14:26Theo:will go in he misses them all the time he's on one

14:31Reev:he's on one 1 in 3 that's better than

14:33Theo:some people at the moment they're on zero yeah if he gets

14:37Lewis Bowden:1 in 3 he's not hitting 18 mate yeah

14:39Reev:I thought Yalcouye is class he's good man I like him good find yeah really very good find only 20 years old as well good FPL and Buscovic mate

14:48Lewis Bowden:bad defending though for the goal that is he's wide open in the 6 yard box

14:55Reev:It's the only time they switched off.

14:57Lewis Bowden:Yeah, unforgivable, though. It is unforgivable, that. You can't be getting... Like, I don't know if it's... I'd probably have to watch it, but I don't know if it was the goalie. I don't know if it's someone switching off on the back post, but that's... He is still raw, though. He's 19, right? Who? Vescovic.

15:10Theo:I wonder about the Leeds defending. Oh.

15:12Reev:He scored a header, didn't he?

15:13Theo:Oh, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sorry. But, I mean... Why are you here? I often ask this. I often question myself in my head at some point. No, the...

15:23Lewis Bowden:the Leeds goal was actually quite lucky

15:25Theo:do you reckon Aronson's going to play that across or is he shooting Tanaka oh sorry Tanaka playing it across and then sorry sorry sorry fucking hell did you watch the game yeah of course he's shooting that's what I mean he's shooting for sure he's blooped that across for sure yeah yeah yeah I thought Tanaka played

15:42Tom Garratt:really well yeah he's

15:43Lewis Bowden:he's underrated it's a weird it's a weird one him because obviously he didn't really play that much last year but they've moved stacked forward haven't they that's why yeah he's left off the right now because he was their

15:51Tom Garratt:best player in the championship Championship. Yeah, Tanaka's a good player. How much plaudits of Stack and Ampadu get, I think Tanaka goes under the radar. Yeah, because he wasn't playing last year. Well, this season he's starting to cook though, isn't he? He's not going to get the plaudits last year if he wasn't playing. Yeah. It was Stack and Ampadu midfield. You said the season before

16:06Reev:he was their best player, no? Or the best midfielder. Yeah. I mean, he'd get the plaudits there. I think he wouldn't play with it. Did he?

16:13Theo:I think so. Might still be Stack and Ampadu moving forward in midfield if Harry Wilson gets up. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

16:18Reev:Yeah, yeah. It's going to be a pen.

16:19Theo:Mate, Leeds,

16:20Tom Garratt:this is an exciting season for Leeds.

16:22Reev:Tell you what though, Cavaloon started up front again, Tom.

16:26Tom Garratt:He is the striker. I don't know why we had this argument. Yeah, I don't know what you're getting at.

16:30Lewis Bowden:He's doing the thing. You said Okafor's going to start up top instead of

16:33Reev:Cavaloon.

16:33Lewis Bowden:No, I don't think I did say that. I don't think I actually said that. He did. I didn't say he's going

16:39Tom Garratt:to start. I went, what about Okafor? No, you said Okafor. He did play games up front last season. You said Okafor would start with Cavaloon. Yeah, in a two. But he could play up front of his own.

16:47Lewis Bowden:He could play up front of his own. Good. He's better than... He'd fucking finish them chances he missed. Jesus. Well... Fucking Winesmith. Cavaloon, he's brilliant until he has to finish.

16:56Theo:Yeah, almost the best striker in the league until he actually... Do you think he's going to get 18 goals? He got 14 last season and Leeds are better this year. And that's like his best ever season. Yeah, so what's to say that he can't improve on that with a better team behind him? Because he can't finish, Reeve. Yeah, he's got a point. Sorry, he can't finish, but he scored 14. Well, Jokeres can't finish and he scored 15. Exactly.

17:15Lewis Bowden:He can't kick a ball. Exactly. I'm starting to think we're the farmers.

17:19Reev:Right. I'll tell you who is fucking good. Mitchell. Yeah. And I've been his biggest advocate for many years now. Oh, fucking him. Biggest advocate.

17:29Lewis Bowden:He's one of the only people that's still left of the club.

17:31Tom Garratt:I don't think you've ever mentioned him on this show.

17:33Lewis Bowden:Every year we do... You don't even know his first name.

17:34Reev:Tyreek. Nibble. Every... Oh, fuck. Every year we do underrated. Every year we do underrated. I always got him in my team.

17:42Theo:Well, yeah, because he's one of the only players that still gets left at Palace after they get...

17:45Reev:You know someone put a 500-1 bet on him because he's got a hat-trick and they won because obviously the super sub of Ben Chilwell coming on. Nice.

17:51Theo:That is pretty fucking cool.

17:53Lewis Bowden:I mean, who is putting that on?

17:55Theo:Tyrone Mitchell. I saw Ben Chilwell had a go at the crowd after the game, didn't he?

18:00Tom Garratt:Yeah. He walked off. Wrong game. That's the wrong game.

18:03Theo:That's not the guy. Wrong game. That's Tyrone George.

18:05Reev:Oh, no. It's Tyrone. The producers are trying to be funny, guys.

18:09Lewis Bowden:They're trying to change Mitchell to evil sacks. You spoke about it earlier.

18:13Theo:Fulham.

18:14Lewis Bowden:Well, actually. Fulham are in trouble. They're in trouble. Fulham are in trouble. I don't know how true this is as well, but I'm going to say it anyway because it's kind of fun. I saw a tweet that someone said they saw... I'll below a crying.

18:25Tom Garratt:No, no, no. They saw... I think it was either... I saw crying. Kevin.

18:31Lewis Bowden:They either saw Kevin or one player leave. This is where I think it's bullshit. They saw... The tweet was they saw him leaving on a line bike. leaving Craven Cottage on a line bike. What's wrong with that? And he went, would a professional footballer get a line bike? Dex done it. Wait. Dex. What? He's left the Emirates on a line bike? Really? Yeah.

18:54Reev:Hey, Craven Cottage has loads of lines around it.

18:56Tom Garratt:It's West London. They'll probably live around the corner. Wait.

18:58Lewis Bowden:No, no, no. Let's go back to what you just said.

19:00Tom Garratt:You know for a fact

19:01Lewis Bowden:Declan Rice left a game.

19:03Tom Garratt:Kenny Tete.

19:05Lewis Bowden:Oh my God, it's true. It was Tete. That's not anymore. That is Tete. That's a fan.

19:12Theo:They did a shift to deliver her after. That's Tete. He's got a food basket.

19:17Reev:He's got a food basket.

19:18Lewis Bowden:So the tweet says, I saw Kenny Tete leaving Craven Cottage on a line bike and asked him what's happening. His response, speak to that fucking coach. That's bullshit. That's not him. Why can't we just... Is it true, mate? Go on the reply to that.

19:32Reev:That is just not true. That's not... No, not that. Why are we looking at Raven Cottage? Oh, my God. On the line bike.

19:38Tom Garratt:Go down.

19:39Reev:Why is he going to be in a...

19:40Tom Garratt:Is it true or made up? Is it true or made up? Stanley, you...

19:45Reev:Oh, you've got to cut that out. That one, yeah. Make a note, please.

19:49Lewis Bowden:Yeah, it happened, mate. Oh, yeah. So someone said, is it true or made up? So I went, it's true. I was there propositioning locals to come home and I'm... while I punched myself in the balls. Okay.

20:00Tom Garratt:I don't think that's testing. Yeah, apparently it might have been made up then. But I want...

20:03Reev:I think he's going to be in a massive winter coat in summer. It's like 25 degrees at the weekend It gets chilly

20:14Lewis Bowden:on the evening He's got fucking

20:16Tom Garratt:Air Forces on Mate he gets the Thames whips up a wind he gets chilly He's got night dunks actually Why would that determine whether or not he's a professional We'll check his boot sponsor Tete is sponsored Tete's not a Nike athlete is he I think he is

20:29Lewis Bowden:No he might be I did that But yeah You can just pick

20:32Theo:the boots you want to wear

20:34Lewis Bowden:Massive He's got a

20:35Theo:Deliveroo basket and his live bike. That was my logic, yeah.

20:37Lewis Bowden:That's a massive stinker from Fulham. Missed chances again. Oh, yeah. I think they're in trouble.

20:46Theo:I agree. I think in a few weeks they've got a couple of the newly promoted teams to play, so I mean, you kind of see where they are after that.

20:53Reev:I don't think... I think also,

20:55Tom Garratt:they are scoring goals.

20:56Reev:Yeah, every game's pretty fun. But do you know what I think? Arbelowa, he's trying to play a certain style of football with that job. I just don't think he has the ability

21:02Tom Garratt:to do that with the players he's got. Maybe. and they're a young team, man. Well, they're just defensive defensive.

21:07Lewis Bowden:Well, sorry, they're not a young team. The signings they've made are really young. Yeah, they are.

21:13Reev:They've got Oscar Bob, Josh King, Garcia's only 22. Bob and King play well, though. Palacios, they've got a very young front line. Front line is, yeah. Very much so. Yeah. Very young. Do you like that? Very old defence, though. Like, super old. Super old defence. How old's Castagne? Question. Bertie. Bertie. Anderson. Bertie. I have a question. Bassie. Bassie's 26?

21:32Lewis Bowden:Yeah. Yeah. He needs to pull his shorts up, man, I keep conceding. When was Bassey,

21:36Reev:26?

21:37Lewis Bowden:Yeah. 26 years ago. He's four years younger than me. 26 years. Yeah, but obviously, they've signed Shea Charles, who's obviously a really good player, but it's a big step up coming into this league. Yeah. This Garcia, I am not convinced with. What the fuck's he doing for the goal? The Mitchell goal? Oh, right, Just kick it.

21:56Theo:Just kick it away. And then, who comes over to him? Is it Anderson that comes over to him? I'd have punched him out there. Good try, mate. I'd have punched him.

22:03Reev:Tell you what, that is such a huge three points for Palace, by the way. Yeah, a bit of a turning point.

22:07Theo:I thought that would be two of the teams that are potentially in and amongst it.

22:11Reev:I think Palace are going to really struggle this year. I think they'll be fine. But beating at a moment who probably will be of a similar position to that.

22:18Lewis Bowden:Both know my power run.

22:19Reev:Yeah, it is a big three points. It's a huge three points. Six points.

22:22Lewis Bowden:I feel like they've got a good record there. Didn't they beat them in the cup and that as well? Well, I can pan that. I think Palace always do well at Craven Cottage.

22:30Reev:Palace have won the last three times at Craven Cottage.

22:32Lewis Bowden:Yeah, there you go. Oh, wow.

22:33Reev:Ball knowledge. And then lost at Sellers Park 2-0 in 24. Going back through the entire fiction.

22:39Tom Garratt:Yeah. Is that Kasami volley? Not in 2024. It was a joke. Should call that.

22:46Theo:Anyway, on to Enzo Maresca's Manchester City. And I looked pretty good.

22:53Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but then Maresca slagged him off.

22:55Theo:Yeah. Sad times, really.

22:57Lewis Bowden:He's not staying in this position. Maybe Palmer was right, guys. Yeah. This guy is a f***er.

23:04Theo:Not allowed to be fluid across the front.

23:07Lewis Bowden:I would say... When you sign players like Semenyo and Jai, like proper street ballers, Cherky, you've got to give them freedom.

23:15Reev:You can't be pinning them down. Semenyo is going to be their own mainstay in the team, I think.

23:20Theo:Yeah. And even Stryker and Haaland can't.

23:23Reev:Again, we briefly touched on that earlier. This game could have been 3-0, which is very... That's worrying for City.

23:29Tom Garratt:City defensively very worrying, exactly. You compare it to the Arsenal game against Coventry.

23:34Lewis Bowden:That's where you've seen the difference.

23:36Reev:The chances Haaland had, he should have scored. He's put them all into the keeper's hands. Do you know what I mean? Normally you'd see him put them in the corner.

23:44Theo:The actual goal he scored was really good.

23:46Reev:It was a very good goal.

23:47Theo:He was a good header.

23:47Reev:He actually scored, I thought Enzo Fernandes was alright. Is it though? He's timed it well, he's died.

23:52Tom Garratt:If he missed that, you'd be saying that's a sitter.

23:54Reev:That is true. Did you see the disallowed goal?

23:56Theo:He's still got to score. Can we believe it wouldn't?

23:58Reev:Did you see his disallowed goal? Enzo Fernandes? Yeah, yeah.

24:01Theo:Oh my God. That's such a good pattern. I haven't seen that. Oh, mate. Have a look at it. Basically, the ball comes over his shoulder and he hooks it straight across the six-year-old box hole and taps it in. You know what I'm saying? But he was offside. Mate, have a quick sweater of it.

24:11Lewis Bowden:He's going to suit City very well, I think. He's a brilliant signing. Fits him really well, doesn't he?

24:16Theo:Anderson was really good in that game. Isn't it mad they just got rid of five players

24:20Tom Garratt:and just replaced them all?

24:22Theo:Money.

24:23Lewis Bowden:Watson dry his injury. Is it serious? Do we have a look? I didn't even know he was injured. Yeah, he apparently went off injured. Might have just been cramped to be fair. But I just, yeah, I don't know. City give up too many chances for me. Like Donnery made some good say. Yeah. Nearly threw one in.

24:39Reev:That's crazy. Did you see the goal line?

24:41Lewis Bowden:Yeah. Yeah. It's like a millimetre.

24:44Theo:Yeah.

24:44Lewis Bowden:Just cramps. Okay, it's just cramps.

24:47Reev:I was a bit surprised

24:48Lewis Bowden:he threw and dropped straight in. Me too. Like Foden was on the bench. But the only reason Enzo started

24:55Reev:because O 'Reilly got injured in the warm-up.

24:56Tom Garratt:Yeah.

24:57Reev:That's right. It's the only reason he started.

24:58Tom Garratt:Ah, yes, I did see that actually. Yeah. but yeah, I don't know, Kusanov at right back. He's not a right back. That's what I mean.

25:06Theo:With Nunes on the bench. That's what I mean, you've got Nunes and Lewis on the bench. Has he seen something in training that we're just...

25:11Reev:Maybe he just doesn't trust Nunes or Lewis at the moment.

25:13Theo:But I mean, he's been pretty good for a moment.

25:15Lewis Bowden:Maybe he's going for the old four centre-halves in defence. That's basically what he's playing. I know Vardial can play left back, but... I'd say Vardial's more of a left back now anyway. I think he's naturally a centre-half. He is naturally.

25:26Reev:No, he is naturally a centre-half, but when was the last time he actually played centre-half?

25:30Tom Garratt:Yeah, that's probably fair.

25:31Reev:Ben White is naturally a centre-half. But he's actually a right-back.

25:35Theo:Yeah.

25:35Tom Garratt:I'd say he's moved though now. He's now a right-back. Yeah. But do you know what I mean? Is Vardio now a left-back? But when you got D-ass at the back, you're always going to concede chances.

25:43Theo:The match before though? Huh? Was he not in left-centre-back with D-ass the match before because Gaye was in the series?

25:48Reev:Potentially, yeah. So maybe it was last week.

25:50Theo:You know what I mean though? Yeah.

25:53Tom Garratt:Vardio played left-back. Gaye played. Oh, there you go. Damn.

25:56Lewis Bowden:So you're talking shit, mate. You're trying to make him look an idiot, aren't you?

25:58Tom Garratt:Make me look like a fool. You look like a fool. Yeah, he's played left back every game this season. Yeah, told you. There you go.

26:03Lewis Bowden:You are miles off it. You're miles off it. Say, I'm wrong.

26:06Tom Garratt:I'm sorry. I apologise.

26:07Lewis Bowden:See, I've seen a lot of discourse people being like, oh yeah, City, I know they're three from three, but...

26:14Theo:Well, they scrape past Bournemouth.

26:16Lewis Bowden:I'm not... It's City. Yeah. Chelsea look way better than Chelsea. Yeah, they do, yeah. I think the manager is going to make a massive difference in Alonso. is night and day from Maresco.

26:28Reev:Before we get on to the old United and Arsenal games, Forest nil, Spurs nil?

26:34Lewis Bowden:Yeah, are they going to score a goal at some point? I think Mamou should have scored. Yeah, he should have. I think I think it'd be alright. I think Spurs take that. No shot on target, though he's worrying. Yeah. I know they've missed two big chances, but yeah, I'm not I think that's a good point for Spurs, I will say.

26:55Theo:Based on the previous couple of games.

26:57Lewis Bowden:It is. It's stopped the rot, hasn't it? It's stopped the rot. It's a point away from home against a decent team. It's like... Yeah. But...

27:05Theo:I don't know about that.

27:06Reev:No, I... Yeah. Well, you seriously think

27:08Lewis Bowden:after the first two games they should go and win that?

27:11Reev:No, I'm not even saying that. It's more about the performance as well. Not even having a shot on the target.

27:14Lewis Bowden:I don't think they played that badly.

27:15Reev:They got no creative output.

27:17Lewis Bowden:No, but they... Like you're Spurs fan. No, but they missed two massive chances that just didn't hit the target. Like, you're making a lot. They haven't created anything. Yeah, but...

27:27Reev:They haven't scored.

27:27Theo:No, that's what I'm saying.

27:28Reev:No, I know. It's worrying. It is worrying. They haven't scored a goal this year. They're walking hard. They're in the relegation zone again.

27:33Theo:No, they're not.

27:34Reev:Yeah, they are. Are they? They're 18th. I thought they were 17th. They're 18th. Like, once again, they're 17th or 8th. Villa are 17th. Who went above them then? Villa, Forest, Bournemouth, Ipswich, Ballas. Villa on alphabetical, yeah, basically. Do you know what I mean? Like, they're still rotting. Yeah. If you're a Spurs fan, you're not happy. You're not going to be like, yeah, we've got a point. Well, of course not. You think, fuck off. We should be beating Nottingham Forest.

28:00Theo:They'd be clicking straight away. They spent 300 million quid this summer. It's more like 900 million. Yeah, but you look at it. Oh, it's 800 million.

28:06Reev:Yeah. Yeah, but look at it. They spent 2 billion this summer.

28:08Lewis Bowden:The only new players that played were Van Heek, Tonali, Savino and Mamouche. So four. Yeah. But a lot of the players I've signed still aren't playing. Or Fernandes didn't start.

28:21Theo:But that was a choice from dessert.

28:23Lewis Bowden:I mean, that's just...

28:24Reev:Roberson came on, Mudrick came on, Fernandes came on.

28:28Lewis Bowden:Yeah, no, come on. You can't be starting... They need Maddison back desperately, I think. You can't be playing Gallagher in the 10.

28:34Reev:Yeah.

28:35Lewis Bowden:That is stinky.

28:36Reev:Where's the 2 billion they spent gone?

28:39Lewis Bowden:What do you mean 2 billion?

28:41Reev:They spent the same as Eze cost for Arsenal, mate.

28:43Lewis Bowden:No, they haven't. Nowhere near.

28:45Reev:No, yeah, I think... You're just concerned, mate. It is worrying them a little bit. It's worrying they haven't scored. Better run, they've got Everton, Liverpool, Villa, United. and Chelsea coming up.

28:54Tom Garratt:I think they'll fancy that Villa. Is Villa at home or away?

28:57Reev:Villa is at home. They've got Everton at home. Oh, they've got Liverpool in the cup, sorry. Villa, United away, Coventry at home, Chelsea away. They've got a tough run of fixtures.

29:05Lewis Bowden:I don't think that's that bad of a result.

29:07Tom Garratt:I think you kind of just take that.

29:08Lewis Bowden:You've kept a clean sheet. Look at the positives. Do you think they got fortunate

29:13Theo:with the Necco Williams incident across the line?

29:16Lewis Bowden:No. You've got to give it, haven't you? It's come off his arm.

29:21Theo:Yeah, I mean, he was pretty annoyed after it, wasn't he? Very annoyed.

29:24Lewis Bowden:But he scored with his arm, so what do you expect him to do? It's like the Maguire one, isn't it? Why didn't they? That would have been pretty poof on Tonali, to be fair,

29:30Theo:for not even being able to kick the ball away.

29:32Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but do you think that should have been allowed?

29:38Tom Garratt:Because, I mean... In what world is that ever going to get given? He scored with his arm? Yeah, it wouldn't get given.

29:44Reev:But then we talk about the Maguire one setting himself up with his arm.

29:48Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but we agree with that. Yeah, true. I just, I think that's a non-start of that.

29:54Tom Garratt:Alright, fine. No, it's harsh. I think Tonali has been a bit shit though. No, he has. He didn't play that bad the weekend, to be fair to him.

30:01Lewis Bowden:I think he's just so overrated. It's off the ball, man. They look quite tidy on it, but off the ball, they're fucking, they're everywhere. It's like a jigsaw puzzle. Someone's just gone bang. Yep. But I think that comes with time and playing together. I definitely don't think the Spurs are going to be as good as I thought, but I still think they'll be alright are they back

30:21Theo:it's not been the same 11 any game

30:23Lewis Bowden:those aren't back aren't back and that's massive yeah like he's suddenly thrown a doggy back in and it's like you haven't got nowhere in their team he's settled and that's has Snessy even

30:36Reev:come on yet for them yeah

30:37Lewis Bowden:he played the first game I think didn't he they it's very it's very reflective of the club though it's just almost unsettled club yeah like bang just go on then go and have a go yeah it seems to be

30:51Tom Garratt:no thought process.

30:53Lewis Bowden:It's not really when you've got Savino who's just the most

30:55Tom Garratt:average player of all time. Savio actually now. Yeah, what is that? He just wanted to like mix it up.

31:01Theo:It's like Rodri, isn't it? Technically Rodrigo.

31:03Tom Garratt:Yeah,

31:04Lewis Bowden:but it's always been

31:05Tom Garratt:Rodri.

31:05Lewis Bowden:He used to be Savino.

31:06Tom Garratt:No, he had Rodrigo on his back for ages, Rodri. No, no, but everyone called him Rodri. Yeah. Everyone's always called Savino, Savino. Well, I'm not calling him Savio. His name is Savio, that's why.

31:16Reev:I reckon as a kid, yeah, he saw like Ronaldinho all these players like yeah fuck it I'll be Savinho he's actually Savio

31:24Theo:told City to put Savinho on the shirt hope it brings me luck

31:27Reev:yeah so he tried to be a Brazilian you're going to need luck well he is a Brazilian he tried to be like a Brazilian proper Brazilian proper Brazilian do you know what I mean they have a nil-nil Hull Villa good result for Hull I thought this was actually for a nil-nil quite a good game it was

31:39Lewis Bowden:Hull are so well set up man they're going to honestly they've got a chance they've got a chance

31:45Tom Garratt:a lot of money spent in the window as well they've had a good window Sorba Thomas I think that could be a really interesting siding.

31:52Lewis Bowden:I thought Villa... Suzuki looks... Suzuki looks... Yeah, I want to put it out there. He's incredible. He's a really good goalie, man. And to be honest... He's going to hit. Hull almost had the perfect game plan. Like, kind of tucking, be hard to beat, hit them on the break when we can, and then McBurnie at the end. Yeah, mate. Probably should have scored.

32:12Theo:Giles' crossing is actually a joke.

32:13Lewis Bowden:He's really... It's technically gifted. He is left foot. They nearly got rid of him as well. Really? Mm-hmm. I can't remember who'd come in for him. I think it might have been a championship club. It might have been maybe Borough. They're fun because Balumi, he's got a bit, he's decent. Mate, that effort that hit the bar,

32:29Theo:that goes to Aaron's goal on the weekend.

32:31Lewis Bowden:The new signings look decent.

32:34Reev:Maitland-Nars?

32:36Lewis Bowden:No, it wouldn't have been better than that.

32:39Theo:It would have been an elite effort though. I'll say you're wrong.

32:42Lewis Bowden:But also I think I'm not sure how Villa will feel about that.

32:47Reev:They would have They wanted to absolutely get it. Missed chances. They would note down, any game against a promoted team, the clubs pushing will note down that that should be three points. Yeah. Oh, yes. But I guess you never, like, oh, I'll be laying well. Let's talk about it then. Momentum as well, haven't they? Everton United. It was the half of the weekend, wasn't it? It wasn't the game of the weekend, but it was definitely the half of the weekend. I like the Arsenal-Chelsea first half was nuts, though. But I know what you mean. Yeah, but the 96th minute. The goal was insane. The goal was absolutely insane.

33:17Reev:Yeah. Bear in mind, United thought they'd won it with Sesco. That was an 88.

33:21Theo:Yeah, he's running off thinking it was done. I will say, I feel a bit sorry for Carrick.

33:26Lewis Bowden:I think they've let him down.

33:28Reev:Yeah, they could have defended it. I know it's a great goal, but they should have defended it better. No, I mean in the window. Yeah. Oh, right. Okay, I'm not. But I think they should have defended the Maitland-Niles goal better as well. Even the build-up to it.

33:38Theo:I mean, the lack of defensive transfers is crazy, considering, as you mentioned, that they're in back four.

33:45Reev:2021.

33:46Theo:and that's their best back four as well no Luke Shaw was signed

33:49Reev:the same window

33:50Theo:well I don't if De Ligt's fully fit then that's probably

33:52Lewis Bowden:De Ligt don't start for them he does over who?

33:57Theo:Maguire?

33:57Lewis Bowden:yeah easily Maguire or Martinez I think Maguire will start for them

34:00Theo:De Ligt's their best centre back when he's fully fit

34:04Lewis Bowden:well that's yeah you are in trouble then well if that's if that's all you've got fuck me isn't it Matt I actually think Heaven's their best centre off if I'm honest but

34:13Reev:you are such a loser Jamie me. Look at Maitland now, he's got coming faces.

34:21Lewis Bowden:Is that your coming face? Drooling?

34:24Reev:Keep that in. No, oh shit. Simon George

34:28Tom Garratt:first Everton goal. Great goal. Yeah, you were saying the goal, he should have saved it, I think that was harsh.

34:33Reev:I didn't, he was so powerful, I said that. I didn't say that. He's just getting beat in the near post though isn't it, but it's a great finish, it's a powerful

34:39Lewis Bowden:strike. To be fair, you know what he did well to get, after the 1-1, and come back in to get what we thought was a winner. But I'm sorry, they are just legless in midfield and they can't defend. Do you know what I think,

34:51Reev:is it not just mental?

34:52Lewis Bowden:And it isn't an agenda. I'm sick of United fans saying I've got an agenda

34:54Reev:against them. They're just so average. But is it not mental to say like, in the summer, everyone could see they needed defenders? Yeah. So whoever's in charge of this, why aren't they getting defenders?

35:06Lewis Bowden:It's almost like they're doing like, last year they sorted out the front line. This year they sorted out the midfield. Maybe next, I don't know, maybe that is the plan or the project.

35:15Reev:Why can't they just go get like...

35:16Lewis Bowden:Because they can't come there because they're not in Europe and stuff. They won't be... The financial fair play rules will probably halt them. And they had to sort the midfield out, didn't they? Losing Casimiro.

35:25Theo:Yeah.

35:27Lewis Bowden:I thought Mainu played well though, in fairness to him. I agree. He's been really good this season. I agree.

35:31Theo:He's started the season off really well.

35:33Tom Garratt:And also, Dorgu, remember when he came up?

35:35Lewis Bowden:He looks fucking...

35:36Tom Garratt:Bulky boy.

35:37Lewis Bowden:Two stone overweight.

35:38Reev:Yeah.

35:38Tom Garratt:Big boy.

35:39Reev:He's good though. He is good. He's not good. He didn't play well, but I like Dorgou. Dorgou's shit? No. You rate Dorgou? I rate Dorgou, but not as a full-back. I rate him as a winger.

35:47Theo:Yeah, but that's the problem.

35:48Reev:I don't think he's a full-back. He's kind of me either. He played in the first game against Hull. He was wank. No, but last season when he played, he was quality. I think maybe he's just a little bit over.

35:56Theo:The problem I have with Dorgou is I don't... I don't write Dorgou. He's not good enough to displace anyone at left wing, but also not good enough.

36:03Reev:He's a squad player at left wing, isn't he? He's not going to try it at Rashford. You need squad players.

36:06Tom Garratt:He did against all.

36:07Reev:Yeah, but I mean... Exactly. He crap. But that's why he's a squad player.

36:13Lewis Bowden:Yeah, I mean, he shouldn't be getting 20 minutes. He should maybe be getting two. If that. I'm not having him one bit. But then, just to speak on that point,

36:25Theo:they just have a lot of squad players in that case. They do, yeah. They have a lot of average players

36:29Lewis Bowden:at United. I don't like Kunja in the nine either. He's not a nine.

36:33Theo:But why doesn't Sesko start these games? Kunia is better than Sesko.

36:36Lewis Bowden:Not as a nine.

36:38Theo:Not as an out-and-out number nine.

36:39Reev:I still just trust him more. I know Sesko scored, but he almost, Pickford's almost saved it. Yeah, but...

36:45Theo:Yeah, but he's not... Yeah, I mean, obviously he's scored, but like, he's not getting the opportunity to play a full game. So what, do you do Rashford in the nine and Kunia on the left?

36:52Lewis Bowden:No, I'd play Sesko in the nine and maybe Kunia on the left, yeah. What about Rashy? I know, Rashford's playing well,

36:58Theo:so I mean, that's the...

36:59Lewis Bowden:He's a tough one. That's why... He's got too much firepower

37:02Reev:and they get paid the money. That's why Carrick gets played the big books to sort that out,

37:05Tom Garratt:which he won't do. No, and Everton, I thought Jack Grealish played well. Yeah, he did all right when he came on. He did all right.

37:10Reev:Are they going to be all right? Everton? Five from nine?

37:14Theo:Yeah, they'll be all right. Solid, mate. They'll be all right. How long is James Garner out for now? And also... It'll be only cramped, though, I think, won't it?

37:22Lewis Bowden:I don't know. He pulled up off the ball. Do you think... He was stretching. I don't know if it was a muscle injury or just cramp.

37:27Theo:We'll find out. We'll find out. But yeah, you are right. Mikilenko and playing role at right back is just...

37:32Lewis Bowden:part by right back. Maitland-Nagre surely

37:34Tom Garratt:earned his start now. I think he'll play, yeah.

37:36Reev:Oh, Maitland-Nagre,

37:37Theo:does he?

37:37Tom Garratt:He likes midfield.

37:38Reev:He's such a frustrating one, right? He could have had such a good career at Arsenal at right back, but he left because he wanted to play centre midfield. Yeah. But he's such a good right back. Yeah. Like, he's genuinely, he's a top-tier player. He's a good player in general. And I think that especially maybe when he left Arsenal, the right back wasn't maybe as attractive, but now right back is such an attractive role because he can move into centre midfield. You see a lot of us developing that position. It's not a structure now anymore, is it? I think right back is a very appealing position. It's better than playing Jake O 'Brien out there, isn't it?

38:06Reev:Yeah. He just needs anything. Maitland-Nard's still young. He's still young. He can still make a proper career at Everton. George has,

38:13Tom Garratt:he's settled in well, actually.

38:14Reev:I like him. He'll be a good little side. Say young, he's 29. But he's still got plenty of years left. Fucking hell, he's 29.

38:20Tom Garratt:Yeah. Jesus Christ, that's gone well. He has been around fucking like 10 years, mate.

38:24Theo:But he can still get

38:26Reev:a good career going at Everton at right back.

38:27Theo:Yeah. A lot of Everton's hopes this season are just how well Barry performs. Again, if you're hoping on that. That's what I mean.

38:34Reev:Well, how about Barry gets injured, by the way?

38:36Tom Garratt:I have no idea. George can play up front, I think. Alcaraz? I think George can play up front. Can he play up front, Alcaraz? Brendan Johnson in the nine. Alcaraz, he's a centre mid. No, he's not. Yeah, he is.

38:48Reev:He plays in like 10 out wide for him. Yeah, but he's not a nine.

38:53Theo:It will be George, isn't it? It will be Tyree George. Yeah, he'll have to play in the nine. Yeah, what a mental decision. Because they had... Balogun almost across the line and then just... He decided not to then. He failed his medical on purpose or something, didn't he? Is that what it was?

39:05Lewis Bowden:Yeah, you are right though. They're fucked up front. Literally no number nine. Because I'm just looking at the bench. They've had this Braid and Graham on the bench who's a left winger apparently.

39:15Theo:The only person they have out injury-wise is Norgoth. He's not playing up front.

39:19Lewis Bowden:Maybe they'll stick. Get Grealish in the nine. Or Brendan Johnson could play it maybe. That's what I mean. that is poor I mean they're fucked with Barry

39:27Reev:they're fucked without him yeah

39:29Lewis Bowden:yeah Barry's probably the worst striker in the league no

39:35Reev:starting strike other than Jokerez mean speaking of Jokerez great game yeah what a game great game of football by the way I just want to say fucking liquid the way Arsenal knocked it around was a joke Arsenal was superb oh my god I've not seen an Arsenal play that way in a long time did you and Jamie collab today

39:55Tom Garratt:on what you were going to wear.

39:56Reev:He's wearing long sleeve, I'm wearing short sleeve, yeah. We were knocking around like...

40:00Tom Garratt:When Erdogan was at 4-4, mate, it was Prime Barcelona. Two glory on it, he was wearing the next team. Prime Barcelona. Prime Barcelona.

40:05Reev:The way we knocked around was Prime Barcelona. Okay, let's calm down. I'm not calming down. Let's calm down, mate. Martin Erdogan, that World Cup has done something to him. He's unleashed him. Instead of playing it sideways, he's playing it forward.

40:16Theo:Do you think it's more... It's beautiful. Do you think it's also more winning the Premier League helps for that as well? Maybe, yeah. I'll tell you what's going right.

40:24Lewis Bowden:I think the style you're now playing suits him to a tee. It means, obviously last season, I just don't think it suits him because it was all about defence. It was all about structure and he can't express himself. He's probably told to maybe not... Defence first, yeah. Defence first, maybe don't play that sliding pass. Maybe just keep it simple. Just keep the ball. But now, yesterday...

40:45Reev:They asked Arteta about that, actually, in the interviews. They basically asked him, we noticed you're playing differently. Is this another layer you're adding to it? and how do you feel it's like yeah this is absolutely another round I'm adding to it and I'm very excited because it's a purposeful thing you've already got

40:59Lewis Bowden:the best defence in Europe you've there's no need to play that way anymore and what you missed last year was games you didn't maybe kill off or you weren't as attacking now you've got that structure that's so solid and so set it doesn't matter who goes out or who comes in whether it's Mascara or whether it's Califuri or whether it's Ben White or Timber it doesn't matter who plays they all know their job they all do it really well you've got to set even the midfielders with Rice or Louis Skelly or Bruno G or Zubimendi they all know their job and role now so that's just set and you've got the best goalie in the league

41:32Reev:do you think the scariest thing is to then

41:34Lewis Bowden:then the next step is just let them lads up front just have we do give them free reign

41:41Reev:get a lead off no saliba I'd be the best setback in the league and we look absolutely comfortable without him do you think the issue I wouldn't say that

41:48Lewis Bowden:you conceded chances yesterday by the way Chelsea are probably the second best team in the league it's not like

41:53Tom Garratt:I don't expect Arsenal to never

41:55Reev:not concede chances but we talked about it though like how good Califuri is but I said in the live stream the chances will come from Califuri's side because of how forward he's playing and the chance they had was other than the Neto and Esteval what else did they really and the Esteval

42:13Lewis Bowden:one isn't really a chance is it it's a great save as well that it is a great save other than that

42:17Reev:Chelsea didn't really there was a few yeah there was a few

42:19Lewis Bowden:like nearly moments like Palmer had the pass first half that nearly got to Jaipedra and then second half Rodgers broke and then Conte makes a great challenge we had a couple of those

42:27Theo:as well to be fair

42:27Lewis Bowden:no no no I'm not comparing you versus anyone just how there is

42:32Tom Garratt:a level of susceptibility

42:33Lewis Bowden:yeah and I think

42:33Tom Garratt:but they're the best

42:34Theo:attack in the league really

42:35Lewis Bowden:as brilliant as Arsenal are I think if you're Chelsea you can't I'd be alright with that I do think we are

42:41Theo:it was a free hit for them anyway I'd be alright with that oh they played well I'd be alright with that

42:45Lewis Bowden:going to the best team in the league and giving them a game

42:48Theo:didn't realise Martínez made eight saves yeah mate and he should have saved the one

42:51Lewis Bowden:and I do think that second one if Koisado's there yeah probably prevented because that do we know how long he's out for? I've never rated this for Fahna and it's just it's part of Puffing it yeah but he wouldn't be

43:04Theo:if Koa was

43:06Lewis Bowden:you've got to make a decision you either go with Avert you either go with Avert or you stick the leg out and he just stands there it's shit that it's so bad it's a great goal from Arsenal's point of view but it's terrible from Chelsea

43:18Reev:Avert's obviously clearly our number nine now I think he's been playing very very very well. He's been brilliant. I do still think we are missing a forward. Yeah, the superstar signing that we were going to win didn't happen. You look at...

43:30Lewis Bowden:It was Solis played well. No,

43:32Reev:you know how much I love Solis. But if he gets injured, you've got Eze, but you don't have that explosiveness on the left-hand side. It's a different kind of left-winger. Yeah. We want to be able to put people on the brakes. But that's what

43:43Theo:Odegaard loves, having people that will just run in front of him and he can... But then again, I think...

43:49Reev:Isaka's injured.

43:50Lewis Bowden:I actually think Eze now would be fine because the way you're playing all the combinations Erdegaard, Havertz and Solis Eze can fit into that popping it one or two touches like the third man runs of Erdegaard man I just think he's he looks a different beast that Erdegaard goal

44:06Reev:was just so good

44:07Lewis Bowden:he looks a different beast

44:08Reev:where Havertz left it

44:09Lewis Bowden:that is why I've always got onto Erdegaard because that's what that's what I feel like I know he can do that I want to see it more I do think

44:18Reev:I know obviously winning the league was hell but the World Cup would have played a big impact on that. I think the way he was allowed to control the game. It is, but I think it's more

44:24Lewis Bowden:your style now. Arteta's obviously told him you're going to be my man this season. He's going to be the main man for your attacking prowess.

44:33Theo:100%.

44:34Tom Garratt:He's got three and four this season, hasn't he? Yeah. Mate, he's just...

44:38Lewis Bowden:I said it before.

44:39Theo:We've known how good he is.

44:40Lewis Bowden:Before, I was like, if there was no goals, he'd be the best player in the world. Yeah. Because he is a beautiful footballer. I just think... Yeah, I was really, really, really impressed with Arsenal yesterday. You showed a different... Also, you showed a completely different style to the Villa game, which I think... I like that. I like it. I know, obviously... There was a lot of talk after that Villa game, or Solis maybe is not that good, or the board have left us short without a striker, then you go and do that. It's against the second-best team in the league. That's kind of... Do you think...

45:09Reev:I know, obviously, we had no Saliba, but no Timber still, Ben White just locking down that right-back position, linking up with Declan Rice and Saka on that right-hand side. Ben White would start

45:17Lewis Bowden:for nearly every team in the league. He's all back-up right-back. Mental, isn't it? Your depth and quality throughout the team is just, it's unbelievable.

45:24Theo:And we also had this conversation before we started about his just sheer ability to make those overlapping runs and just pull people out of position is just so useful.

45:33Lewis Bowden:In games like that. Even though he did dive and he should have got booked. Should we talk about some of the controversial decisions? 100%. Joe Pedro and Cole Palmer stink, as someone said. Yeah, to be fair, they weren't bad. Do you want to talk about

45:44Reev:the Morgan Rodgers angry one with Declan Rice?

45:46Lewis Bowden:Rice knows what he's doing. Yeah, absolutely.

45:48Reev:Got away with it.

45:49Lewis Bowden:He did get away with it because he what I think while Rodgers you can see a little bit he clicks him with his stud

45:54Tom Garratt:yeah yeah yeah

45:55Lewis Bowden:it's a naughty one that he knows exactly

45:56Tom Garratt:what he's doing he's looking down also I do like that yeah yeah I think Gabriel was lucky as well I think that's so

46:03Reev:he has gone to kick the ball though but he does kick him in the head yeah I know but that is an accident like someone does a bicycle kick and then kicks someone in the head they give fouls for it yeah but he's I don't know but he's also on the ground I understand that do you see what I mean but to make like It is a genuine accident. I think the ref is kind of...

46:22Tom Garratt:Yeah, but that's irrelevant.

46:24Reev:So what do you think should happen?

46:25Tom Garratt:A free kick? I think... Nothing happened. And also knowing him, how do you know it's an accident? He's gone to kick the football. Because Gabriel Lee's like that. That's unfair. You can't do that. You can't do that. You can, and I am.

46:37Reev:You're not allowed to do that. I can. Two refs can do that.

46:39Lewis Bowden:I just think he gets away with a lot, man, Gabriel. He does.

46:42Reev:I think you're being a Twitter merchant. I think you've read a lot of Twitter. Do you not think he...

46:45Lewis Bowden:You don't think he doesn't get away with a lot?

46:47Reev:No, he gets away with a lot, but that in particular but a lot of good centre-halves get away with a lot that's part of the parcel of what they are like Van Dijk gets away with a lot as well

46:53Theo:no not as much as him ironically I do think the ref was a little bit too passive

46:57Reev:a lot of times there could have been a lot of yellow cards for both of you

47:00Theo:way more I don't mind that

47:01Reev:do we not like that he's being fair throughout the whole game

47:04Theo:yeah but then there's the controversy of well that just definitely is a foul and a yellow yeah I saw some people saying Palmer should have

47:10Lewis Bowden:been setting up I can't remember it the first clip I remember the first one oh yeah you're right oh yeah because because he got booked with the break do you know what he said

47:19Reev:that was too early to give a yellow no that was Hato was that Hato well even more another example yeah I know what you mean oh yeah sorry

47:25Lewis Bowden:yeah he probably could have been sent off then actually no I'll just think no I'll be honest me personally I don't think that's a red card Gabriel no but in the modern day the way they ref it I wouldn't be surprised if someone else would get sent off for that I think that's a conspiracy

47:39Theo:okay but with how everything is so scrutinised on screens and VAR and stuff you can see it happen because really silly is dangerous play. Yeah. It is.

47:49Lewis Bowden:Whether you try and kick the ball or not, you've kicked him in the head. Yeah.

47:53Tom Garratt:Do you know what I mean?

47:54Reev:But then also, his head's on the floor next to the ball. So is he. That's not... So does he have a right to challenge?

48:03Theo:A right to challenge.

48:05Reev:I challenge you, good sir. When a keeper goes, say a striker's going one-on-one when a keeper goes round the keeper. I do agree, but then... And then glides with the head.

48:15Lewis Bowden:but that happened didn't it when Mane got sent off at Man City a few years ago when he kicked Edison in the head when he was going for the ball like going for the ball isn't an excuse for dangerous play yeah 100 % that's why I think he might and I think why I think he got away with it or why they didn't give anything is because he kicks in with the top of his boot if that had been he stood I think he'd have

48:36Theo:been sent off oh yeah if he's bleeding then you'd probably look at it a bit more oh my god he's bleeding he's bleeding yeah

48:42Tom Garratt:but yeah brilliant brilliant performance it actually was

48:46Reev:you know Gibbs White when he cut his face how did he how did he cut his face open from that was that a boot

48:51Tom Garratt:I can't remember was that not a head collision I can't remember that was horrible wasn't it yeah it was a bad one I think it was a head collision was it head I can't remember

48:58Lewis Bowden:but yeah unbelievable result for Arsenal they look furious they are going to absolutely walk this league I think but

49:05Tom Garratt:encouraging signs for Chelsea very much so apart from defensively they're defensively just shit they're just going to have to outscore everyone they are and unfortunately you just can't do that against Arsenal. No.

49:15Theo:As they're playing one game a week when they get their full back line settled and fully fit I think

49:22Lewis Bowden:what is their best defence though really? Guys, Chelsea

49:25Theo:Well, Palestra's in that and Colwell's in that

49:27Lewis Bowden:It's going to have to be Achim Pong, Lacroix and Colwell, no. Yeah. Chelsea have on and then Palestra

49:32Tom Garratt:Hato or Palestra Neto. Yeah, I like Hato I think he's really good. I love Hato

49:36Lewis Bowden:I'd play Palestra the lad yesterday was saying Palestra would play on the left Yeah, in preseason Hato, Neto's doing a good job No, but he can't be there. He'll play both.

49:44Theo:I think he's comfortable playing both sides. So, I mean, in terms of like, who would you sooner displace? It's probably Pedro Neto because Hato's actually a...

49:51Reev:But Neto, all their... Most of their attack comes from Neto on that ride. So, I think he's going under... But that's game-specific, isn't it, as well? Do you not think it's a bit mental that Chelsea have won two out of three, but conceded seven?

50:03Lewis Bowden:Mate, they're the best team. Seven goals in three games. They are going to be the most exciting team this season, I think.

50:08Theo:But then also... What's the Swindon record again? Like 140-something.

50:12Reev:Man United have conceded six this season.

50:14Theo:Yeah, they're two a game at the moment.

50:16Reev:They're two defences that need to improve.

50:21Theo:Now we are heading into Europe because we are going to do all of our predictions for this season's Champions League because it starts this week and we're watching... You're not here for it. We're watching Arsenal versus Napoli. Heading to a wedding.

50:39Tom Garratt:I want to believe. we have got

50:41Theo:it's going to a wedding that happens five days after

50:44Tom Garratt:yeah I know yeah

50:45Reev:looked it ages ago didn't even think about Champions League well you have to as a football host mate that isn't our fault that's your fault I know it is it's a me problem so sorry sorry right so we've got winners

50:55Theo:okay

50:56Reev:winners runners up biggest overachiever biggest underachiever best player top scorer breakout star biggest flop brackets player and hot take yeah right Everyone's Champions League winners. Who have we all got? Arsenal. Arsenal. Arsenal! Yay! Getting over the line. I think we might, in January, go in for a forward somewhere. Don't know who. Don't know where.

51:20Lewis Bowden:I wouldn't be surprised either with that.

51:21Reev:But I think that'll be our thing in January to get us over the line in the Champions League.

51:26Theo:Interesting you guys have said that. Carry on. Why? I'm just pre-crestering some of my other stuff. Anyway, carry on. Who do you think is going to be the runners-up in the final of the Champions League? I've got Barcelona. I've got Barcelona. I've got Barcelona. as well. Oh, God. Oh, I'm far exact. It's going to be a five-minute segment. I mean, the runners-up is a tough one because you never know

51:45Tom Garratt:the routes and stuff. Like, Arsenal could play Barcelona in the semis. Yeah, Barcelona look so good.

51:51Theo:They win every game 5-0.

51:53Reev:Yeah, they're good, man.

51:54Theo:Obviously, regardless of how the tree works through the competition, if you were to say who's the second best team that could potentially be in the final, I think Barcelona is. But that's the logic, isn't it? Oh, my God.

52:04Reev:They actually do win every game 5-0. First game 5-0, 2-0. 5-2, 5-0. they've got three Ruffini's playing striker games in the last four they've scored five goals and Rodri's just a massive signing and also Gordon looks sensational for them and Yamal is playing really well and Ruffini's playing up top he's scored about 20 goals what did you say? I said Ruffini's playing striker oh sorry but that's

52:26Lewis Bowden:also at the same they're not going to be able to do that to Arsenal that's the thing exactly

52:30Theo:that's why I think we'll win it

52:31Lewis Bowden:I do think it's between those two they've got anyway but yeah

52:34Theo:right then guys biggest overachiever

52:37Tom Garratt:of a sport in Lisbon

52:38Theo:Ah I've gone Como I've gone Como for too

52:41Tom Garratt:I've gone Roma I've had a really good start

52:43Reev:To Serie A

52:43Theo:Yeah I kind of went with The same vibe like Obviously Como Just scraping through

52:47Lewis Bowden:A lot of mine A lot of mine link though

52:50Tom Garratt:So you'll see Why I've said Sporting

52:52Reev:Okay I think Yeah And you'll see why You'll see why

52:56Theo:Roma 9 from 9 right

52:57Reev:Yeah they're doing Really well in Serie A 9 At points Oh I was going to say Yeah 3 and Yeah

53:03Theo:Como 1 of 7 I think So still a good start To the season

53:06Reev:Well that sort of leads me on to underachiever. I've gone into Milan. I think they finally hit their sort of, their top of the mountain. They're now a really aging squad. I just think they've just, I don't think they've had a very good start to Serie A either.

53:22Theo:No, they're second of them.

53:22Reev:They're second. They've won about every game. Oh, well, I think they're done.

53:27Theo:But there's no Johnny Stones or Jed Spence in the teams, which is a bit like, what's the point? Anyway, my underachiever is, for the similar reasons of reaching the top of the mountain, not quite getting to semi or final, in my opinion. I think there's an early exit for PSG. No! Yeah. Guys, controversial. Why? Can't be too square. I don't know. I feel like there's always like a freak result in the Champions League. Like last year, everyone thought Barcelona were going to, well, some people thought they were going to win it. They've had a really,

54:02Reev:oh my God, they've had a horrible start to Liga.

54:04Theo:Yeah, exactly. Oh my God, they haven't won a game.

54:05Reev:Yeah. how many games they've played

54:07Theo:I think PSG might have a little bit of a slip up in Europe

54:11Reev:I like that that's bold I like it since beating Villa they lost to Lenz in the Super Cup they drew to Rennes also in three games three league games they lost to Monaco 2-1 2-2 to Lille and 2-2 to Rennes

54:25Theo:I think if they come up against Arsenal or Barcelona in their side of the bracket then they probably exit early

54:30Lewis Bowden:my underachievers Man United

54:33Theo:oh yeah what is underachieving what are you expecting from Yeah. That's my issue. I'll tell you later. Okay, nice. Best player of the tournament then, guys. What do you mean you'll tell us later? Well, he's probably first hot take.

54:42Reev:Oh.

54:43Theo:Or biggest block, perhaps. Best player? I've gone Laminya, man. I've gone Erdogan. Like it. I like it, mate.

54:51Tom Garratt:For you, turn his crazy. Come on, Martin. Martin. I mean, we've covered it earlier.

54:57Lewis Bowden:He is so essential to this. And I think if I've got Arsenal to win, it usually goes to a winner, doesn't it? Yeah. I did have Yamal originally, but I think if Arsenal win it,

55:05Tom Garratt:I think Odegaard captain he's probably going to get loads of assists and goals I've got Jamal because I think it'll be Arsenal Barca final

55:11Theo:that's why I went Jamal and I think he's just he's playing so well at the moment yeah

55:16Reev:but I like the Odegaard chat a lot different mate but also I was tossing up between two players I actually for my top goal scorer I've got Jamal or Rafinha well no you need one well if I've got best players Jamal then I'll have to

55:31Tom Garratt:who do you think is going to score the most goals

55:32Reev:Rafinha

55:33Tom Garratt:there you go

55:33Theo:do you yeah I've still got Mbappe for that. How do you think Romero will do this season? Semi-final.

55:40Tom Garratt:I've gone Kane. You've just got Kane. Three different ones. Or Rafinha, Kane and Mbappe.

55:46Lewis Bowden:They tend to win like 7-1 in some of their games, don't they? I think you'll just stat pad in the group phase

55:53Theo:and they'll probably go out in the quarters. I think, yeah, early on in the... Bayern in the quarters?

55:58Tom Garratt:I don't think they'll be... Where do you think Bayern will get knocked out? it's so hard to say and it would yeah unfortunately that's not how the show works bro depends on their odd go quarters and Can't Will finish top goal scorer I like that

56:11Theo:but yeah but the league face yeah the league face Gordon got four in one game last year so I mean there's definitely a chance um a breakout star I have gone Jeremy Jacquet because he's never played in the Champions League

56:25Lewis Bowden:oh I don't mind

56:26Theo:a lead of appeal I don't mind Van Dijk's going to carry him to a good season I think I think he's just a top player and I think he'll probably establish himself as a great centre-back in Europe and obviously he's not been in the Champions League yet. So that is technically a breakout. Yeah. Tom?

56:40Tom Garratt:I've got a bit... I've had a...

56:42Reev:I've got a bit... Can I say mine? Yeah, you go. So I've got Javi Espart. He's playing left-back at Barcelona but he's not actually a left-back which is quite interesting because he's a centre-mid. Oh, right. Those transferable positions. And he's actually... If you watch a bit of Barcelona this season he's sort of helping their midfield. He's changing a lot of how Barcelona are playing, which is quite interesting. He was part of the Spanish Euros under-19 winners this summer. He's quite a quintessential part to their midfield and team as a general. He's only 19 years old. He started every game at left-back this year, which is quite a...

57:17Reev:Is that because he can't quite fit in the midfield? No, it's just because he's... I don't... Well, yeah, part and parcel of that. But then also he's proving his worth at left-back. But he's actually playing in midfield a lot. Yeah. He's coming inside a lot. Only 19 years old. You've already seen Kabassi sort of nail himself. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The starting line-up for Barcelona. I think this is... Young Spaniard's right team. This is the next guy to nail his spot into the season.

57:38Tom Garratt:I've got one who I'm pretty happy with.

57:40Lewis Bowden:I've gone with Flavio Gonsalves of Sporting Lisbon.

57:44Theo:Oh, okay.

57:46Lewis Bowden:He's only 19. He's already got three goals and an assist in five games this season. And the main thing with Sporting is... He's a left-winger. Sorry, right-wing. Left-winger. The main thing with Sporting Lisbon is...

57:58Theo:They had another guy called Gonsalves.

58:00Lewis Bowden:there's a lot of Gonsalves he's knocking about the thing with Sporting Lisbon is the reason I've got them overachievers I like their fixtures other than Barcelona yeah

58:10Theo:well there's always a couple

58:12Lewis Bowden:other than Barcelona I think a lot of their games are very winnable like they've got Lons I know Lons come second in fucking league but then they've got Lask I watched Lask against Celtic the other week like they'll beat them then they've got Shakhtar who won't even be at home they'll be at fucking Sanford Bridge then they've got Man United who I don't think are going to do very well Then they've got Roma, which is a tough one. I just think sport, and they always tend to do all right. I like sport. Provided one of the best comebacks. Who's the manager at the moment? It's something, it begins with an R.

58:43Lewis Bowden:Rui Borges. Rui Borges, yeah. Never heard of him, but yeah. I've gone with a bit of a, I think he could be a bit of a breakout this season. Yeah, I like it. Yeah, you like that one? You like that, don't you?

58:57Theo:I like it, boys. All the way across the road. Right, this is a less fortunate one. Biggest flop.

59:06Tom Garratt:It's... Got a big one for you here. I've won Bruno Fernandes.

59:09Reev:Yeah, I was close to right. What's a flop for Bruno in the Champions League?

59:14Tom Garratt:Then I thought... Well, I'll explain. I'm a hot take.

59:18Theo:Okay. I went Diamande for Real Madrid. Oh, I like that, actually. 125 mil, mate. Just don't think he won't start or what? Yeah, yeah. I think after a while you'll see the front three and he just won't be part of it. Interesting. And for that amount of money, mate, I think that's pretty floppy.

59:38Reev:Has he been playing for them?

59:41Theo:Comes on.

59:41Reev:Diamande, yeah. He's only 19, though.

59:45Theo:Yeah, he's only been coming on. It's more so the price tag. I'm sure he's going to be a great footballer throughout his career, but at the moment, if you're worth that much money, change the game.

59:54Reev:Yeah. Theo? I've gone for Julian Alvarez. He hasn't... That's so interesting. Sorry, Stanley. Why is that funny? Yeah, mate, this is so interesting. He hasn't started a game for Atleti. Obviously, he is coming on. He's got a few minutes this season. Is he not going to play? Hold that thought. So they're going to allow him, on all those wages, just not play for the rest of the season? He's clearly upset there. He don't want to be there. Is that not a flop? Isn't he depressed? Because he doesn't want to leave Atletico. Madrid isn't it no he does want to leave that's what I mean he does want to leave but he can't is that not a flop and I think Atleti in general I think if he doesn't play that isn't a flop but he's played minutes he's coming on so he's playing I mean he may play but they've got I think in general Atleti are going to have a really truly bad season this year but I think Julian Alvarez is going to flop

1:00:50Theo:do you want to hear my hot take what Arsenal sign Julian Alvarez in January and he scores the winning goal in the final against Barcelona, winning Arsenal the Champions League against Barcelona.

1:01:02Lewis Bowden:He ain't going to go to Arsenal.

1:01:03Theo:He doesn't want to go. Mate, we're going to go for him. He told Artetti he don't want to go. He's going to go back. Arsenal are going to go back in for Vinny Jr. and Alvarez. We're going to try and find one. He's just signed a new contract. Yeah, okay, sorry. Well, maybe that's incorrect. Maybe that's incorrect. I'm wrong with that one, but I've read that we're going to go back in for a superstar forward. But he doesn't want to go. You don't want to go. He's told Artetti he don't want to go. Right. It's a hot take. Yeah, no, I don't mind that. Yeah, I like it.

1:01:30Lewis Bowden:Mine is Man United don't make it out of the league phase. Wait, you've just hated on them. That's an agenda. Yeah, they all think I've got an agenda. I just don't rate them. And, mate, they're... Okay, their first game is Sabah. They'll win that. No problem. Then they've got Atleti away. Easy. Como away. Roma at home and Sporting away. Yeah, that's tough. And then Leipzig at home. I think they only get two wins.

1:01:51Reev:Might be enough.

1:01:52Lewis Bowden:Yeah, it might be enough to get them into the playoff bit.

1:01:54Reev:Yeah.

1:01:55Lewis Bowden:Then they go out. Wow.

1:01:57Reev:Shit.

1:02:01Tom Garratt:What was you going to win all on there? Yeah. Man United win every game. No, it's not an agenda. I don't...

1:02:08Lewis Bowden:I can't... I'll just say how I see it. I don't rate Man United this season. I think defensively, they're so poor. And the extra games, the lack of depth at the back, I think they're going to concede a lot of goals and they can't just keep relying on Bruno.

1:02:20Theo:Well, it's too a game in the Premier League.

1:02:22Lewis Bowden:They can't just keep relying on hero ball from Bruno. It just won't work, I don't think. I might be wrong guys it's not an agenda I don't hate Man United it's just my opinion stop fucking crying my hot take

1:02:31Theo:in before Bruno

1:02:33Reev:yeah hat-trick here

1:02:34Theo:in the Champions League

1:02:37Reev:Atletico Madrid are going to have an awful season and this is the year we're going to see Simeone leave

1:02:43Theo:why because he's just

1:02:44Tom Garratt:never going to leave

1:02:45Reev:well his contract's up in 2027

1:02:47Lewis Bowden:that's not a Champions League prediction

1:02:48Reev:it's a hot take yeah they're going to have an awful season in the Champions League as well define that

1:02:54Tom Garratt:they're not going to make it out of group stages Okay, so your hot take is Atleti don't make it out the... Yeah, but that will lead to Simeone.

1:03:02Reev:That is hot. I don't know about that. He's contracted that in 2027. So he's only got a year left. I have to do the maths there. I think this is... He's been there, what, 25 years? Yeah. 20 years?

1:03:17Theo:Well, I mean, if they don't... If they don't make it out of the group stage, then that's definitely a reason for...

1:03:22Reev:25 years? 20 years. He's been there since like, oh, 16. How old is he? When did he join? Shit, this is a tough one. This is make or break. I don't think... 14 years. 14 years?

1:03:32Theo:It's just half the tenure of what you said. No, he's not.

1:03:36Reev:Well, it's pretty long for a manager these days. It feels like 25 years.

1:03:40Theo:25 years is 2001.

1:03:42Reev:Oh, yeah.

1:03:43Theo:He was still playing. Oh, yeah.

1:03:47Reev:Oh, he's been there 14 years. You can't do that. Well, I think this is the end of his tenure, though. Okay. Yeah. He's going to give up 25 million a year.

1:03:57Tom Garratt:I just don't, yeah, unless he's...

1:04:00Reev:So is he going to sign a new contract for 30 million a year?

1:04:03Tom Garratt:He can do what he wants.

1:04:04Reev:That's a hell of a hard take. Because I just...

1:04:06Tom Garratt:They always get through. Yeah.

1:04:08Lewis Bowden:So do Man United, bro. No, they don't. Their last few... They haven't even fucking been in it. Their last time they were in the Champions League wasn't even the league phase.

1:04:15Tom Garratt:They got through, though.

1:04:16Lewis Bowden:I don't think they did.

1:04:17Reev:They must have got out of groups.

1:04:18Lewis Bowden:Go on, Man United's last few...

1:04:20Theo:Did they not go into the Europa League off the back of not getting through it?

1:04:23Lewis Bowden:Their last few stints in the Champions League have been terrible. Right, yeah, go on the history. Yeah, go on, go on.

1:04:30Tom Garratt:Go on, do it, do it, baby. Oh, fucking hell. Oh, let's not bother. Let's just not do it. Oh, yeah.

1:04:35Reev:They got out. Round of 16, group stage. There you go, see?

1:04:38Lewis Bowden:No, they didn't. Group stage. They went out in the group stage. That's the times they left the tournament. And then before that round of 16, before that group stage.

1:04:46Reev:So awful. Fucking hell, how long have they been shit for?

1:04:53Lewis Bowden:A while?

1:04:54Tom Garratt:Yeah, a long time. Look at that, fuck me. They are shit. Oh my God, they're dog shit. So 2010 was good.

1:05:04Lewis Bowden:But 2018, 2019, isn't that Europa? Or was that Champions League?

1:05:08Theo:No, this is Champions League, isn't it? Yeah, but the...

1:05:11Lewis Bowden:No, I know, but you see 2020, 2021, that was Europa League, I'm sure. Because it says...

1:05:16Reev:No, this is all Champions League.

1:05:18Theo:Yeah, but they would have gone into the Europa League off the back of the getting group. well

1:05:24Reev:Atleti are not going to do it bro they're going to be dog shit this season

1:05:27Tom Garratt:yeah

1:05:28Reev:you just caught it nice have they started badly oh no once the Atleti fans come to this show

1:05:34Tom Garratt:they've won one again oh well they've won again no they've won two yeah they just lost 3-0 to the Atleti club though didn't they yeah Bilbao yeah but they won 3-1 at Sevilla you can't call them that what Bilbao can't do that can I have and I will no you're not allowed they don't like that I still think

1:05:50Reev:Atleti club to be fair their team doesn't look that good mate they are shit I'm telling you they're shit they're still gonna make it to the corner let us know in the comments what you think Simeone's leaving he's going to

1:06:02Lewis Bowden:leave a sport in Lisbon I can wear my sporting top as well

1:06:05Reev:it will replace Anja our Nasser why would he do that wait Anja's gonna fucking cook

1:06:11Theo:mate

1:06:12Reev:we're gonna be doing a tier list of the Premier League transfer window the the clock is shut

1:06:18Theo:the clock is shut

1:06:20Reev:was it no the transfer window is shut The window is shut. We've shut the windows. It's cold outside. And let's assess who's had the best transfer window.

1:06:28Theo:Yeah, but it's a tierless system. So before we start, how many are we putting in S?

1:06:35Lewis Bowden:Because it has to be... Well, there's 20 teams.

1:06:38Theo:Yeah, it has to be limited, doesn't it? I think maximum three in S. Yeah, great. I don't mind that. Okay. Three in S. And then obviously we've got A, B, C and D as well, guys. We don't have to put three in there. Remember that. No, no, of course. We don't have to. I'm saying the upper limit is 3 and S then.

1:06:52Reev:Great badge choices. That looks clean, by the way, Stanley. I'm liking this.

1:06:57Tom Garratt:Right, first up, we have got... Spurs. Why have we got Bournemouth first? Yeah, that is weird. AFC.

1:07:03Theo:Oh, yeah, AFC.

1:07:07Lewis Bowden:Mate, you... Oh, you fucking know, Bournemouth. Big time.

1:07:11Theo:Right, where do we start? Let's start at Spurs, no? Start at the bottom. Come back up to the top. Spurs.

1:07:16Tom Garratt:I'd go B. On paper, they've had a good window.

1:07:19Theo:I I'm I'm not tempted you're not tempted to say higher

1:07:24Tom Garratt:they spent a lot

1:07:26Theo:yeah

1:07:26Tom Garratt:I think a lot of it like Savino 85 million

1:07:29Theo:oh Moushi's a good signing

1:07:30Lewis Bowden:yeah

1:07:31Theo:Van Hecker

1:07:32Lewis Bowden:they've overpaid for Tonali

1:07:33Tom Garratt:they've overpaid for Savino

1:07:34Lewis Bowden:Sanessi for free

1:07:35Theo:Sanessi for free

1:07:36Tom Garratt:yeah maybe A maybe A I think I think A

1:07:40Theo:Tonali

1:07:40Tom Garratt:yeah I'm happy with A

1:07:41Reev:they just need them players if we put Spurs and B

1:07:44Theo:then that's going to set a precedent for the rest of the thing I mean they've been oh you've got the list up here yeah I have got them

1:07:48Reev:they need the players I'll get the list up here they need the players to actually start cooking

1:07:53Theo:the problem is if they'd have started off well we'd have unanimously just said A yes but because they've stunk it up to begin with bro you're debating but the players they've actually signed are good transfers in my opinion

1:08:07Tom Garratt:yeah I agree okay right Forest so they've lost Anderson they have they've got Dancer on loan they've got Malik

1:08:15Reev:oh wait no they've got Munoz

1:08:18Tom Garratt:good signing why are you not doing Sunderland? What order is this in? It doesn't matter does it? It doesn't matter does it?

1:08:24Theo:Just do it on the screen it's a bit funkier this way

1:08:26Lewis Bowden:obviously Diamande is a good signing De Lape look pretty good 50 million

1:08:31Tom Garratt:I think De Lape's a good signing a lot of money though it's overpaid probably Munoz's a great signing

1:08:39Theo:Schlaeger again we don't

1:08:41Tom Garratt:know much about him

1:08:46Lewis Bowden:Gustavo Sarr again I don't know much about him

1:08:48Theo:I think it I think it possibly is But they've lost Anderson Anderson is a big miss though

1:08:53Lewis Bowden:I'd go C Just because I'm unsure Of who they've signed

1:08:56Reev:Munoz is a great signing

1:08:58Lewis Bowden:That is Yeah Actually yeah

1:09:00Tom Garratt:Could be Because dear man That is really good as well

1:09:02Reev:Don't you There's also There's not many right backs Who can play under Glasner Really is there

1:09:06Theo:Oh yeah Do we count Glasner As a They've got Glasner No I mean Do we count him as a He's a new signing That's what I mean

1:09:13Reev:Yeah it's a good signing

1:09:14Theo:I mean that's almost

1:09:14Reev:Still think they're going to Turn to shit though

1:09:16Theo:Shit's not Yeah somehow He's going to fall out of Maranacos at some point. He's going to get relegated. So I'm presuming we're not counting like new managerial appointments, just purely player signings. That's a new signing. No, that's what I'm asking. Because that, in theory, would make it a better window.

1:09:32Reev:Let's go B. Newcastle United.

1:09:35Theo:I think it's actually better than people give up. Nico Gonzalez, I think it's a great signing.

1:09:40Tom Garratt:I think they've lost Tonale, who I don't think is that massive of a miss.

1:09:45Lewis Bowden:Gordon's a big miss. For the amount of money they got for him. And exactly. Bruno G obviously terrible miss Sean Sturz come in looks good Bambo we don't know about Dedic looks good Dedic looks brilliant Hornacek Nico Gonzalez looks unbelievable Gonzalez looks really good Fernandes Pardo we're not sure about Torre didn't look great in the game he played I saw against obviously the Album Jasler looks good yeah the manager yeah I'd be tempted A

1:10:11Reev:but then they lost hang on a minute B it's got to be B it's got to be B yeah they've lost they lost the players I don't think it's quite as good as Spurs

1:10:18Theo:No

1:10:18Reev:If I'm honest I would agree Manchester United Belieber 70 million Andres Santos 50 Tielemans 35's great signing That's it

1:10:28Theo:Yeah but great signings But as we've spoken about before Exactly They have not Bought players in the positions they've needed I think it's a D I D I think it's a D

1:10:39Reev:Everyone knows what they needed I get they got the midfield fine 70 million for Belieber is a lot of money It is That's a great signing Yeah, but that's what they needed. They haven't got any defenders.

1:10:50Theo:Is it not a low C? Yeah. I agree with you. Because they've at least been active.

1:10:57Lewis Bowden:And they have sorted out the midfield.

1:10:59Reev:And they've got a new third-choice keeper, Cardalo.

1:11:02Lewis Bowden:Once believers play, and that's going to make a massive difference for United.

1:11:05Reev:That is true. All right, fine. I'll give you a C.

1:11:07Lewis Bowden:Yeah.

1:11:08Reev:They didn't buy the players they wanted. They needed it. No, yeah, but that's why they... Well, they need the midfielders, yes, but they also need the defenders.

1:11:14Theo:Yeah. And Tidamies is a great sign. Yeah, great sign. Manchester City. Manchester City. I mean, they've bought half of Europe, haven't they? They've got Buadi. They've also let... Fernandes.

1:11:24Tom Garratt:Buadi and Jai, Fernandes. Stones on a three, Silver on a three. I don't know how good he is.

1:11:27Reev:Marmouche is alone.

1:11:30Tom Garratt:Calvin Phillips has gone out online. Elliot Anderson. It's an A.

1:11:34Reev:And they've kind of... They've got 51 million for Rinders. Yeah. That's another thing. They've made so much money. Trafford, 40. Nico Gonzalez, 50. Rinders, 51. Roger 65 Savino 85 million actually it's an S you know with the sales it's an S

1:11:49Tom Garratt:it's an unbelievable

1:11:51Reev:window they've replaced

1:11:54Tom Garratt:their entire midfield what's their net spend but it's not that high

1:11:57Reev:yeah it can't be that high they've sold so much money bit dodgy though but they have sold a lot of money they've loaned a million players how the fuck are they imagine doing their books

1:12:10Tom Garratt:no comment

1:12:16Lewis Bowden:Allegedly

1:12:17Reev:Imagine being their accountant

1:12:19Lewis Bowden:Shall we agree, S? Yeah

1:12:23Theo:Yeah Right There aren't many that are If we're doing three It's S It's S It's absolutely S

1:12:29Reev:Sunderland They got one of the most sought after midfielders in Europe And we're not even talking about Elliot Anderson We're talking about Buaddy Yeah For 85 million, mate They've signed They've signed Buaddy Same prize Spurs have signed Fucking Savino Yeah Lost Pep though Got Pep's replacement Looks identical to him

1:12:48Lewis Bowden:Right so Sunderland

1:12:50Tom Garratt:I think Sunderland is They managed to get for Farno

1:12:54Theo:They also kept players

1:12:55Tom Garratt:Which I think is really important Yes but Danso's pretty good Danso's alright He's alright

1:13:01Theo:He only looked bad Because he was in a spurs That was I thought he played okay Is Muneo on a three Not a really good sign in? For Belgium he scored a world

1:13:11Reev:in Russia he's 34

1:13:13Lewis Bowden:I think that's a really weird signing if I'm honest Angulo looked pretty good

1:13:18Theo:I think Sunderland

1:13:19Lewis Bowden:will be disappointed with their window

1:13:20Theo:yeah they absolutely could have been but again knowing their scouting network

1:13:25Lewis Bowden:this like Metali's probably really good Angulo we don't know like

1:13:29Theo:is it enough for two competition is keeping players

1:13:34Reev:just as important I'd go I'd go D or C I think D You think, really? I do think, do they have not like...

1:13:41Theo:Do you think it's worse than United?

1:13:43Reev:At least United have... Have Sardin have strengthened? Or have they just stayed the same?

1:13:47Lewis Bowden:Yeah, I don't think they've...

1:13:49Reev:Do you know what I mean? At least United have strengthened in midfield.

1:13:51Lewis Bowden:I mean, Fafana's a good signing, isn't he? You know what, Theo?

1:13:55Theo:You raise a good point. I don't feel like they've necessarily improved. I think they've probably just held the standard that they have. Which is absolutely fine, but...

1:14:02Tom Garratt:But in terms of a transfer window, I think for now we'll put them in D. Maybe if we get to it. There's no progression.

1:14:07Theo:Go to Europe and not get better in terms of players you've attracted. Right, Liverpool.

1:14:15Lewis Bowden:Liverpool are a weird one. Obviously, Barcola's a good signing, but a lot of money. Munoz looks good. Jacké, 60 million. Jacké looks good. They still haven't signed fullback.

1:14:25Reev:Araujo on loan is quite a versatile defender to have in your books, isn't it?

1:14:28Lewis Bowden:Yeah, he's all right. I still would have liked him to maybe get a left back.

1:14:31Reev:Brugmans, I don't even know who he is. 30 million from Genk. Opposition?

1:14:35Tom Garratt:No idea. I haven't seen that Is he one of them Where they've blown back out Potentially I've not a clue

1:14:42Reev:Yes Yeah you actually have

1:14:44Tom Garratt:Yeah He's a goalie

1:14:46Reev:Curtis Jones 30 million They got from You've got to remember Do you know what's really poor From Liverpool I think Well maybe not But They sold Curtis Jones For 30 million But they let Salah, Robertson And Canate All on a free More similar to City And Bajetics How are you letting Canate go on a free Well because his contract Was up wasn't it But that's an issue with the board there, isn't it? You can't be letting someone of Canate's talent and age go on a three. You could have got a few minutes. There's also not much you can do.

1:15:16Theo:The argument is a year ago, not now, isn't it? That's what I mean. I think I'm happy with C. Yeah. C? They've actually bought players for the future as well. Rather than purchasing...

1:15:27Reev:Is it not B?

1:15:28Theo:No.

1:15:29Lewis Bowden:It can't be B, can it? Because they haven't... They've bought Munoz and Barcola in here, which is good, but centre half probably could have done with another midfield I agree and a full back

1:15:38Reev:ok go see

1:15:40Lewis Bowden:Leeds United they've had a good window good window Trafford in centre half Muharrovic looks good Harry Wilson good obviously they kind of need

1:15:54Theo:they got

1:15:54Lewis Bowden:got rid of Strauch and Nonto but other than that

1:15:58Theo:is it a good as you say I think it's B

1:16:01Lewis Bowden:yeah I think it's middle order it's a really good It started off immensely

1:16:06Theo:and then towards the end of the window they just weren't as active and then obviously like Rodon got injured. They strengthened defensively

1:16:11Tom Garratt:really well I think. Ipswich Town.

1:16:14Reev:Tractors. S for me. So.

1:16:18Theo:This list is massive.

1:16:20Reev:Emerson. Palacios. I think Palacios

1:16:22Tom Garratt:for Bayer Leverkusen is such a good signing. Fleming for 17 million is a joke. Yeah. Everton should have signed him. Fatawu. They should have signed him. Fatawu went mate when he's good he's really good. Maeda looks good as well from Celtic I think. he looks decent Lukic is a solid Premier League midfielder even Chibat Akpom yeah what was he 31, 32 no he was already there

1:16:39Lewis Bowden:though wasn't he Sherpen who's like 8 foot 4 was he on loan he was on loan yeah but then I think they've signed him haven't they that Emerson looks alright like and CISO yeah no yeah

1:16:50Tom Garratt:I'll say well how much is it undisclosed yeah it's probably about 20, 30 mil why is there undisclosed I don't know what's the point I actually don't know I really don't know

1:17:02Lewis Bowden:under the

1:17:03Tom Garratt:I have this S.

1:17:04Lewis Bowden:I think they've had one of the best windows. For a promoted team to go and get some of the players they've got, I just think excellent.

1:17:09Theo:Very reminiscent of Sunderland's last year, isn't it?

1:17:12Lewis Bowden:Coming up to the league and trying to give it a go. And the players who've come in, like Fatou and Cease, have started well. Fleming's going to score goals. I really like... They've signed that Florentino as well from Burnley. I like them a lot. I like it a lot.

1:17:28Tom Garratt:Track the boys in S. I think they've given it a really good go. All right, Hull City. What are you saying? Oh. Aye.

1:17:35Reev:Yeah, it's a good one. Oh, Chad Butland? Didn't even know that. Yeah.

1:17:39Theo:Wow. Nogel Mendy looks good. Harrington when he's been coming on. Iribunum is a great sign.

1:17:44Lewis Bowden:Didn't realise they got him. Norton Cuffey. The goalie looks really good.

1:17:48Theo:Yeah, Zalakis.

1:17:49Lewis Bowden:Zalakis looks quality.

1:17:50Tom Garratt:They've signed Gelhart after a good season last year.

1:17:52Reev:Did you see their TikTok of signing Matt Target?

1:17:54Tom Garratt:No. Oh, it's brilliant. It's absolutely brilliant.

1:17:57Lewis Bowden:And I also love how the owner come out and basically told them and they were going to sign all the players.

1:18:03Reev:And also, they've got a great social media admin. Yeah, we were on it the other day.

1:18:08Theo:Pandering.

1:18:10Reev:Mate, they replied to me.

1:18:11Tom Garratt:Yeah, we saw.

1:18:12Theo:You bit your lip at them?

1:18:13Tom Garratt:Yeah, but then they replied to me in the... Do you reckon they're going to be biting their lip at the next game? I'll be biting my lip at half of it. They've got Sunderland away in the EFL Cup tomorrow.

1:18:21Theo:And Chelsea.

1:18:22Tom Garratt:But then they've got Chelsea. Are they going to be biting their lip at that, or are they going to be clenching their arse? Mate, whoever's in... Look.

1:18:27Theo:He's just not listening. No, he's not. Watching himself.

1:18:29Tom Garratt:Hall in A.

1:18:31Theo:Yeah, absolutely.

1:18:31Tom Garratt:Whoever's in charge of their thing is just really good. Fulham. I'm going to go D for Fulham. Yeah, they are just so crap.

1:18:40Lewis Bowden:Do you think? Yeah, because Shea Charles is a good player. We don't know if he can make the step up. The lads from Madrid, we don't know.

1:18:46Theo:Are you only saying that because they're unknown commodities in the Premier League? I think the striker looks okay. But that ain't enough.

1:18:54Lewis Bowden:Palacios looks good too. But that's not enough, is it? They look poor.

1:19:00Theo:Yeah, I mean, yeah. if we're doing it on the basis of how

1:19:03Lewis Bowden:they've started they've lost their best player from last season Lukic has gone they've lost Jimenez Jimenez has gone as well they don't they don't look better so based on the transfer window oh yeah they've definitely

1:19:14Theo:regressed a couple of them how they look as a team

1:19:15Reev:a couple of them players are just Arbelo yeah they're good I trust them and like is he right yeah well

1:19:21Theo:Manon just signed players that they were working with D

1:19:24Tom Garratt:and the next one's D as well Everton they've got Jack back on loan it's a D mate They haven't got a striker. We've got one. No, they haven't. They haven't got a striker. Hayden Hackney's a good signing.

1:19:38Lewis Bowden:Hayden Hackney's a good signing. Getting Grealish back, he's good. Tyreek George, good signing.

1:19:41Tom Garratt:Tyreek George is decent. Norgaard, good. Maitland-Niles is good. Yeah, maybe see. Brennan Johnson for Dwight McNeil. But is losing and dry, no striker, losing better? They'll go get a striker in January, though, won't they? I'll leave this to you.

1:19:57Theo:Are you putting it in D because it's such a glaringly obvious mistake to...

1:20:01Tom Garratt:And the way it ended was just embarrassing, wasn't it?

1:20:03Reev:The thing is, they've made really smart signings except the one signing they need. That's what I mean. So is that... I suppose that team,

1:20:10Lewis Bowden:but we don't know if... Oh no, sorry, I'm looking at 19. I'm looking at Palace.

1:20:14Theo:Like Norga, when he's back, does not making the striker signing outweigh making some really kind of shrewd signings across the rest of the pitch?

1:20:22Tom Garratt:If Barry gets injured next week for three months, they're done.

1:20:26Theo:Yeah.

1:20:26Tom Garratt:Yeah.

1:20:27Reev:Okay. It's like Man United, similar to Man United, made good signings, but they haven't strengthened the defence. Whereas Everton have made good signings but they haven't replaced, well, Beto left.

1:20:36Lewis Bowden:What do you reckon then?

1:20:38Theo:I mean, on the United logic, I think they're a C as well.

1:20:43Lewis Bowden:Go on then, we'll go see.

1:20:44Theo:They have made, yeah.

1:20:46Lewis Bowden:Crystal Palace. Now, I think they've had a bit of an underrated window actually.

1:20:49Theo:At the start of the window, they were so quiet but towards the end, they've...

1:20:53Lewis Bowden:Tommy Asu's a clever signing on a three. Le Barth, 51 million. Gesson's decent, on loan. This Kalali, the wing-back, we don't know.

1:21:02Reev:Chiawell scored on his debut.

1:21:04Lewis Bowden:The Sassi's a solid centre-half at this level. That Timber, again, we don't really know about.

1:21:09Reev:He was all right in the World Cup when he played for the Netherlands. Who? Quentin.

1:21:14Lewis Bowden:Yeah, I just don't know. I just haven't seen enough of him. What? I'd go see. They've kept the tether as well, haven't they?

1:21:24Theo:Yeah, yeah.

1:21:25Reev:What are they laughing at? what's wrong with Quentin

1:21:30Tom Garratt:you don't like Quentin Quentin it's Quentin Quentin and Tarquell Tarquell

1:21:40Lewis Bowden:that's your brother's name George Tarquin sorry Tarquin yeah I'll probably just see I think right now Coventry an interesting one

1:21:52Tom Garratt:what you think Everton got better window than Palace nah because Palace Palace have strength and everything did they keep Sarr yeah kept Sarr kept Mateta who replaced Lacroix De Sassi De Sassi

1:22:06Theo:yeah he's playing in the

1:22:09Tom Garratt:back three I think they've I think Palace are fine

1:22:11Theo:and Kallili Kallili Kallili new right wing back instead of Munoz are you appropriate

1:22:17Lewis Bowden:they've signed two full backs haven't they two right backs yeah I think they'll be absolutely fine I think they've

1:22:22Reev:Mingeza too

1:22:22Tom Garratt:Coventry

1:22:24Lewis Bowden:I'm worried about them I think this could be a D

1:22:28Reev:Ornion's decent signing For 9 million

1:22:29Lewis Bowden:It is But he's missing chances Like is it Pinnock's a decent signing Onyeka That Gober we don't really know about Hamer again He's alright Do you know who's good? Rushworth Yeah Rushworth's a great signing

1:22:41Reev:Very good I thought he played really well

1:22:42Tom Garratt:Against City again He's a great signing Yeah Really good He was their best player Last year

1:22:47Lewis Bowden:They needed to get that

1:22:48Reev:So he was on loan Last year from Brighton And now he's Made him 22 million Very good signing that.

1:22:53Lewis Bowden:That Jarenki again we don't really know about but he's probably alright. I don't know. Then they've signed that Sheriff, the striker. It's a lot of unknowns. I just, I would have liked them to get more. More Premier League experience. I expected Kov to do what Ipswich did and they haven't. I think they've left themselves a bit short. Like, again, I don't know if this, is this Sheriff injured or

1:23:15Theo:what?

1:23:17Lewis Bowden:Or is he just not ready to play or, but I like, look at their line-up. It's pretty much. Other than Nwonyi and Pinnock, it's the same team as last year.

1:23:29Theo:Yeah, that's what I mean. On the basis that everyone's just such an unknown quantity, there's no real improvement.

1:23:35Lewis Bowden:I suppose they've signed that to Mender as well, the centre-half. But, yeah, so three. I don't think that's enough. I think they've left themselves short, but I think they've made some decent signings. I'd be between D and C. I'd probably get D, because I just think Nwonyi's not enough.

1:23:52Reev:Yeah, I agree. Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea. So.

1:23:56Theo:Yeah, Chelsea's is in there.

1:23:57Reev:Sold Enzo Fernandes for£125 million after buying him for£100 million. They made profit on£100 million player. Nicholas Jackson, they got£65 million. Cucurella,£55 million. £51 million. Liam De Lape,£50 million. Andre Santos,£50 million. Chalabra,£30 million to Como. What a fucking move that is for him, by the way. He's living late, Como. Tyree George,£25 million. In the middle of the lake. And Robert Sanchez got on loan to the SES team as well. they've made so much money

1:24:22Lewis Bowden:but then they've improved the set they've improved the goalie they got rid of Gooey as well they've got Lecroy in their knee in the centre half they've got Palestra wing back who looks really good

1:24:30Reev:they also brought in Henderson and Welbeck for experience yeah they've got Rodgers Martinez in goal for 7-1

1:24:35Lewis Bowden:even that Barker I hate him but he's decent ain't he improved the keeper as they had to

1:24:40Tom Garratt:and they've signed another it's a brilliant window for Chelsea

1:24:44Reev:it going in and out

1:24:47Lewis Bowden:oh wait who's this yeah got Mudrick off the wage as well yeah if we're

1:24:54Theo:going to put three and S they have to be in a conversation I'd go S yeah Brighton and

1:24:59Reev:Hove Albion the Seagulls Brighton and

1:25:02Lewis Bowden:Estrange obviously they've signed Strauch haven't they Buscovic is a good one they've also made over

1:25:06Reev:100 million off Van Hecken Belieber

1:25:08Tom Garratt:Femi Aziz yeah I like that a lot

1:25:12Lewis Bowden:I'm really excited to see how he does for them and also this Andres they've signed God knows but he's probably unreal.

1:25:21Reev:Yeah.

1:25:21Theo:We just trust that Brian is going to make great signings.

1:25:24Reev:Am I going to mad or did they have Yalcure last year? I honestly don't know the answer to that one.

1:25:30Theo:Yeah, I don't know.

1:25:32Reev:He was at Swansea last year but why is he not on their signings?

1:25:35Theo:Maybe he was loaned out to Swansea. Do you reckon he's been at... No.

1:25:44Reev:He was at Brian under 21s.

1:25:46Tom Garratt:Yeah, so he's come through the academy, isn't he?

1:25:48Reev:Yeah, and then they loaned him out they loaned him out for two seasons but the thing is it doesn't make no he's been loaned out since 2023

1:25:56Theo:yeah so he was at Brighton Academy and then he's been loaned for the whole period of the last three years mad

1:26:01Tom Garratt:I'd go B mad because it's just Brighton clever side

1:26:09Lewis Bowden:they've strengthened where they need you so they've got two centre halves in Femi Aziz is going to be probably a squad player on the wing when they need someone do you think they're

1:26:18Tom Garratt:lacking a bit bit in the striker role. Well, they've signed that promised David,

1:26:22Lewis Bowden:haven't they?

1:26:25Lewis Bowden:And Costou, it's his second season.

1:26:27Theo:Are they a more improved team than last year? Because that's kind of how we've been establishing whether or not. I think they're sort of the same. Yeah, so...

1:26:34Tom Garratt:Which is where Sunderland...

1:26:37Lewis Bowden:I don't know. I think they've improved. They've lost their best centre-back. Yeah, but Van Hecker to Voscovic isn't that. And Pascal Strauch as well. they've got two really good centre halves in and lost one they've lost Welbeck but Costoulas is going to play anyway Welbeck probably wasn't going to play that much anyway this season was he top of C low B I'd go B personally but

1:26:59Tom Garratt:it's up to you too traking B who cares like that Hadjam they've signed the left back he's probably Roberto Carlos Brighton isn't it let's assume

1:27:08Reev:every single signing is

1:27:09Tom Garratt:brilliant

1:27:11Theo:we'll just give him Brighton the benefit of the doubt because of Brighton

1:27:13Reev:yeah literally Brentford Brentford

1:27:18Theo:Ju 40 mil Sangare is one of the best designers they're an A Anthony 17 what

1:27:24Tom Garratt:Sangare makes them an A Jadon Anthony

1:27:27Reev:is that not just a quick assumption nah hang on a sec like they've basically bought two players plus like Jadon Anthony they've lost no one they're better bro they lost Henderson and Ethan Pinnock

1:27:41Lewis Bowden:exactly they've lost no one they have improved they've improved they've now got Ju 4 left back. Sangare, arguably the sign of the summer. Wilson's coming in as a backup striker. Small business, but effective business. Jay Nantony's going to be a bit part winger. He's a solid Premier League winger. Schuster as well, the centre half. Who replaced? Yeah.

1:28:02Tom Garratt:Like Dave improved?

1:28:04Lewis Bowden:I don't think it's A. Is it an A? Mate, Sangare would play for any team in the league.

1:28:11Theo:Yeah, individually that's an incredible signing. So they've improved in midfield? Yes, but...

1:28:15Reev:They've signed a centre-half. Are we getting blinded by the fact they haven't made a load of business, but the business they've done is good?

1:28:21Lewis Bowden:Yeah, and they've not lost anyone. They've improved.

1:28:25Reev:Malik Jouf. Second time they've lost Henderson and Pinnock.

1:28:27Lewis Bowden:And Jouf, for the way they play. That's what I mean. No, because Leeds lost Stroke, didn't they? And who else did they lose? Yeah, but they brought him a home mission. They've also got Callum Wilson on a free, Brentford. I've just said that. It's a really solid backup, isn't it? Malik Jouf, the way they play, he's going to fly for them down that left-hand side. Are you going to start over Rico Henry?

1:28:46Reev:Yes.

1:28:47Theo:Well, it's Lewis Potter at the moment.

1:28:48Reev:Lewis Pequinspotter, yeah.

1:28:49Theo:It's not Rico Henry. He's rotting.

1:28:51Tom Garratt:I think Brentford's an A.

1:28:53Theo:He's rotting away, mate. He's not at a game. I'm not going to let this one go. Fine. I don't care enough to say Brentford's a B. Villa.

1:29:03Lewis Bowden:Aston Villa is a weird one. It is.

1:29:06Theo:It's a hell of a lot of money in the outgoings, though. I mean, if we did it off the Chelsea basis. Obviously, they've lost key players, haven't they? They've flipped nearly 300 mil.

1:29:14Reev:Yeah, but they've also spent loads of... But then they've got Manzambi,

1:29:17Lewis Bowden:Giao Gomez, okay, Garnaccio, don't really rate. But that... Ruggieri looks decent, the left back. Suzuki is an improvement in goal. Oh, I do. Wanbissaka's a solid full-back option. Goetzka on a free. Goetzka on a free. He's excellent. You look at the players they've fought. Nicholas Jackson, he's a like-for-like of Watkins. And Bay could be a fucking superstar.

1:29:36Reev:Villa have done a overhaul. But they've had to, haven't they? But the ones they've got in are, I think, are smart, shrewd business.

1:29:42Theo:Mate, they've sold players for...

1:29:44Reev:an insane amount of money.

1:29:45Theo:Obviously lost Rodgers. They're good sales. Rodgers, Watkins. They have lost the heartbeat.

1:29:49Tom Garratt:Concer. But they've lost their heartbeat with their team, Martinez as well.

1:29:53Theo:No, defensively, they look fucking shit. Are they better?

1:29:57Tom Garratt:Probably not. So probably could see. I don't know about C. They're better than the other windows.

1:30:01Theo:I think B. If you're giving Brighton a B, I feel like B.

1:30:04Reev:Go on then. The Arsenal. A. Yes, not S. Because we're lacking that forward player. And we made our... Solis, Bruno G. And a record...

1:30:13Theo:For a record sale, alone, mate. Yeah. Finally. Biggest ever sale. Also, just on Villa, they've signed

1:30:20Tom Garratt:Harwood Bellis for 30 mil, but they've not put him in the Champions League squad. Yeah, he's fuming about that. You know when they

1:30:25Reev:signed him, he was like, I can't wait to play Champions football. Bad evening. Melier. We sold Melier. We bought him for free and then we sold him to Como or something, didn't it? Melier? Really? What? I think we tried. We tried. No, he's the third

1:30:41Theo:keeper with Kepa.

1:30:42Reev:No, we tried. Yeah, we tried to get him off to Como. What, on loan? No, as a sale. Really? Yeah, we bought one of three and then tried to sell him. Smart business, mate.

1:30:53Tom Garratt:So Bournemouth... Also, we got Jesus off the books, which is brilliant. Bournemouth obviously lost Sanessi.

1:31:00Lewis Bowden:Yeah. And obviously, Semenya went earlier.

1:31:02Reev:Yeah, but Antonio Silva's a good centre-half.

1:31:04Lewis Bowden:Yeah, that's what I mean. So they've replaced that. They've bought that Sanchez, the wing back. They've signed another striker, Rodriguez.

1:31:10Theo:Yeah, Rodriguez.

1:31:12Tom Garratt:It's not been an amazing win.

1:31:13Theo:It's just been inactive though, hasn't it? Yeah. Yeah. That's the problem. C? Yeah, I think C.

1:31:18Lewis Bowden:Because they haven't got worse, but they haven't got better. Exactly. They've kept Rayan, kept Kruppi. Yeah. Alex Scott's a huge... Alex Scott, fucking hell.

1:31:26Theo:Him not going is probably enough to warrant it not a D. Yeah, agreed. But they just haven't done anything.

1:31:31Reev:Well, there you go, guys. Let us know if you agree or disagree. I actually think that's pretty good.

1:31:35Theo:I think we've done it right there. For one of the few occasions we've done a tier list.

1:31:38Tom Garratt:I'm pretty happy with that.

1:31:38Reev:I went really moved.

1:31:39Tom Garratt:I'm pretty happy with that.

1:31:40Reev:Very unbiased and fair and logical from the three of us.

1:31:43Lewis Bowden:I don't think they'll agree. I'm sure they'll say there's an agenda somewhere.

1:31:48Reev:Well, we shall see, guys. Make sure you drop us a like. Make sure you subscribe. We'll try and hit 400k. And make sure you rate us 5 stars on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. And we'll see you all next week for... No, we'll see you on Wednesday. We'll see you Wednesday for a live show. But next week, we're all away for a wedding. So we're pre-recording next week's episode. So we've got some fun stuff happening next week, don't we?

1:32:05Theo:A lot of cool international break stuff. Exactly. So stay tuned for that.
