0:50Reev:You see this shirt? Yeah. I got it off the pitchsideshot.com. Woo-hoo! Yeah. I bet you guys didn't even know. Well, I got this jumper off concept.com. Do you want a jumper? What's a pitch slide shot? What did I say? Shot? Yeah. Well, I meant pitch. It's quite... Anyways, guys, moving on. Let's face it. None of you are buying that, are we? I know no one who's bought it. Anyways, welcome back to the Premier League Review. Yay! Did you actually buy it? I bought it, yeah, to test it out. I'm curious if it just didn't arrive. Yeah, I was like, is this a real shot? Our only customers are us four. Well, you didn't buy it.
1:25Reev:That's what I'm saying. No, so it's just me. yeah it arrived within two days if you're wondering that was pretty beast mode actually wasn't it but yeah what happened at the weekend guys Arsenal beat Tottenham wow contrary to Lewis' prediction by the way Tom because he went you know what lads 2-1 spur I reckon if he was on the panel
1:42Theo:not early he just said spur I mean you did cheat you did cheat it was going to be 2-2 it's not our fault though yeah no but like I feel like I feel like you can say 4-1 but you're leaving out a blatant like cheating Can't have the second 40. Especially after all the Arsenal fans crying about the Man City Newcastle decision. Someone making it all about them. I want to see them complain about this as well.
2:08Lewis Bowden:I think that was very similar to the Frank Lampard goal for England against Germany. Yeah, it's up there. No, it makes no difference to the score whatsoever. I thought you mean in terms of how disgusting it is. We were in the ascendancy for that one. It's not even remotely close to how both decisions were made. Gabriel does that all the time though. and he's never a foul but he's quite silly no because we actually got away with it when we played Arsenal it starts easy and we got yeah and Gabriel was crying about it but that's because it wasn't given by the ref yeah they're never going to overturn but I think it's a bit silly because he's shown like sometimes he's actually not getting away with it but he actually Tom's dying if you're not
2:45Reev:annoyingly he actually prevented a goal by doing that which is which I don't like because obviously I like as an Arsenal fan but like as a neutral you don't want to see stuff like that happen in the game he's a dickhead it's like the one where I think it was Trostard, like, backed into the defender and he just went down. You know, when there were players in the corner and the defender just comes up behind him and then he just falls over. Like, these types of fouls, I actually do my swaying. It's very, very jarring. I mean, it's smart if you get away with it. No, it's smart. He prevented a goal.
3:12Well, the refs need to start fucking just not giving it. Otherwise, everyone's going to do it. But ultimately, letter of the law, it is two hands in the back, as soft as it is.
3:18Reev:I don't agree. I don't agree with it. It should have stood. That isn't letter of the law. That's why they gave it. That isn't letter of the law.
3:24Lewis Bowden:You can put two hands on someone's back. You just can't push them with force. I feel like that should be overturned. I feel like you can see how he's done that and he's literally thrown his own legs behind himself. Is that the biggest talking point?
3:37Reev:For Lewis, the Tottenham fan, yes it is. In other news, Eze, another great performance. Another? Yeah, this other one was against Tottenham. Yeah, I remember. He's had two good games. For 195 million pounds. A repeat of the 4-1. I thought Eze was going to get another hat-trick, to be fair. Do you know who stood out in that game? Go on, with the other guy that scored two maybe. I thought it was his best game for Arsenal, Jock Rez. Will you now admit that he had a good game?
4:02Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but he has had a good game. Yeah, he had a good game. Again, I think it was a very over the top of the way people were talking about it. He was all right. Yeah, but he did all right. This is what I mean. He took his goals very well, but other than that, his hold-up play was great. Yeah, that little flick around the corner for his goal. Did you watch the game? Yeah, but he also gave the ball away a lot. and it's still his clunky. It was his best game for Arsenal. Yeah, it was. He was closing down pressure on the defenders where he won the ball
4:26Reev:off them in the corner. You're playing the worst team in the league. Do you not realise how low the bar is for you to, like, once he actually doesn't have a stinker, you're like, see? What I can't understand is that you can't ever give someone credit when it's actually. Yeah, he said he had an alright game. It was his best game. You know he's on 15 goals now. It was alright. He's got the most goals out of any Premier League football in 2016. Yeah, he was actually useful that game. Did you know that? Did you know that? You didn't know that, did you?
4:44Lewis Bowden:He's got the most goals and assists in it. He was actually useful for once. It was good. But he's also played the most games.
4:50Reev:We'll see him in 19 games later when he's useful again. But this is why we bought him to batter the smaller teams. Do you know what I mean?
4:56Theo:Yeah, I mean. Yeah, it's a weird one. Did you see the clip of Mr. Tudor, like, just screaming at Van der Ven, trying to get the push-up, and he just ignores him? I mean. Yeah. Mr. Tudor. They're probably like, who's the fucking Tudor? On the contrary to Arsenal. He's ignoring him.
5:11Reev:obviously Arsenal that wasn't a really important result after the couple of like poor well more than a couple of poor results to be fair it's a bit of like almost a statement I'd say but on the other side
5:22Lewis Bowden:it's not a statement you're playing one of the worst teams in the league they're shocking
5:28Reev:you thought they were going to draw you thought Spurs were going to win I didn't think they were going to draw you literally said that
5:32Lewis Bowden:I said to him I said on the show to wind you up that I thought Spurs would win this is the issue
5:37Theo:that going into that game had though if we won the game we were expected to if we lost the game it's carnage yeah that's what happens when you're the best team in the league
5:48Lewis Bowden:I agree but I'm just saying there should be some credit given to how we perform Arsenal fans do have this weird complex of why can't we be praised why do you need praise you're a bunch of cooks you tell us you're the best team in the world and then you want praise for being in shit teams I'll give you a prize you can't say how fucking shit we are I'll give you a prize if you go out and beat Man City how about that you won't though I will Of course you will. Of course you fucking won't, mate. No, because you won't go out to beat them. You're going to go out and try and draw. That's what you're going to do.
6:14Reev:You will. By the way, we can't do that because you have to win that game to win the league. No, but you love going out and playing for a draw in that situation.
6:21Lewis Bowden:If you draw that, then it's in your hands. So we know exactly what we're going to see at the Etihad. Do you think you'll go there and win?
6:27Reev:Yes, I do.
6:28Lewis Bowden:Do you think you'll even try and win? Yes, I do. Are you serious? I think you're going to get ran all over me. He's allowed to say that as an opinion.
6:37Reev:Just because you think differently. thought Spurs would beat Arsenal you think Arsenal would get run all over by Man City what have you seen of both Arsenal and Man City this year that you think Man City will run all over Arsenal I'll tell you exactly because we have seen what happens to both teams at this part of the season what have you seen this season that you think Man City will run all over Arsenal tell me well I've seen Arsenal win two previous to yesterday two well they've won three let's include yesterday three games of the last eight they've won the rest they've drew and City haven't dropped points this season is that what you're saying yes but they've you've dropped more because they've close the gap in recent weeks.
7:07Reev:If we've dropped more points, how come we're ahead of City then? Because you were up with and all this is a sort of... No, but I don't understand what you've seen of Man City who are clearly off it in the comment room. Let me answer the question. What makes you think Man City will run all over Arsenal? Which basically, you're stating that if you think Man City will run all over Arsenal, you think Man City are clearly there in Arsenal. So what do you think? Why do you think that? So Theo, do we both acknowledge Arsenal had a bigger gap than what they previously, what they currently do to Man City?
7:30Yeah, but we both knew that the gap was always going to change about the season. So my point is, in this back end of the season, once again, Man City are closing the gap on you, and you haven't... You can say it was a breakthrough or a statement performance yesterday. You've won three games in eight, and you're supposed to... So that is what I'm basing my decision on. We've done that.
7:48Reev:We've dropped the points, and we're still top of the league. Yes, because you had this much of a gap, and now it's this. It was fucking five points, mate. It wasn't always that. Man City are also dropping points. That's my point. So I'm asking you, why do you think... They're both dropping points at this point of the season. Why do you think that means Man City will run all over Arsenal? History. Because Man City are proven winners. I don't want to keep going over this because we do it every year. It's like ground, and it'll be boring for them. But every time we've seen what you do in this situation at this part of the season, when you play Man City, they try and win it.
8:17You try and get a draw on the line.
8:19Reev:So your basis is off history rather than what you're watching at the moment this season. Is that fair? What I'm watching this season is, what I'm watching this season is in the last eight games, you've won three
8:30Theo:and you've bottled the rest. Do you think though Arteta is learning? Because obviously, 2-0 up against Wolves. Sat back. To be honest, it was a disgrace. We've said this before though. We've said he's learning.
8:42Lewis Bowden:Then he did it last week at Wolves.
8:44Theo:But he didn't do it yesterday. Do you think he'll continue doing it? I mean, I don't think I'll be able to give Spurs a game yesterday.
8:51Lewis Bowden:At least Wolves have got a bit of fight about them. Spurs are just like, they're embarrassing. There's just nothing. I feel like the absolute capitulation we've seen against Wolves sums it up. Like, mate, that is Wolves. Brentford, they were really lucky. Arsenal were so lucky to get a point at Brentford. So lucky. You're rolling around on the floor. It's all right going. Oh, he's learning. Is he, though? Because they were lucky at Brentford and then threw it away at Wolves. And then just because they beat one of the worst teams in the league yesterday, I'll say he's learning and he's improved.
9:24Lewis Bowden:I'll give him his credit. If he gets to the Etihad and does it, we'll see how his arse is when we get to the Etihad. because I know what he's going to do. It's the most obvious game plan. Before that, Tom, you've got the League Cup final against him. I was just going to say that. It's a bit different, though, because it's a one-off game. Arteta, you can't sit back really in that game because it's a one-off game. There's no further past that game, is there? The league, he will get to the Etihad, stink it up for a nil-nil to keep the gap two points and then try and win the... You just know that's what he's going to do.
9:59Lewis Bowden:If he gets to Etihad and beats City, or at least sets them up to win and not just defend like you fucking always do, then I will go, yes, he's learnt and he's actually making a statement. But I'm sorry, the last few weeks, I thought he had improved and got better, but the last few weeks, he just made me think Arsenal are just the same.
10:18Theo:How do you think he approaches Sunday against Chelsea at home? They'll batter Chelsea, probably. Yeah, it is. I think just the discrepancy between two teams probably gets Arsenal open line anyway no it's next weekend because we've got a double game week but yeah I just think Chelsea aren't necessarily on it and Arsenal are at the moment so I can only really see Arsenal winning that game Arsenal are still a good team
10:45Lewis Bowden:I'm not sitting here going Arsenal are lucky I still think they're the best team in the league but the best team usually wins it, but the times when it hasn't or when teams don't win it when they should with the players they've got, like Liverpool with Suarez, that is a capitulation. It's a mentality thing, which at the minute we don't know if Arsenal have got because they've never proved they've got it. And winning games in December doesn't prove you've got the mentality to do it. It's now. And what I would say, where there's question marks like that about Arsenal, there's zero question mark on Man City.

11:18They literally have the best manager, one of the best managers of all time, if not thee who's done it time and time again so there's zero question mark about them and even there probably still looking at Arsenal and they'll be on the seats and we know if we get on top of these early we know what they'll do I mean they're not
11:33Theo:changing between now and middle April though 100 % No of course
11:37Lewis Bowden:but City you know what I'm going to give you a great analogy for those who like your horse racing City are like William Mullins with like one of his best horses that he saves for Cheltenham the other trainers Yeah, they can win the November meetings or the December meetings at Leopardstown. You can have those great ones. When it comes to March, when it matters, Mullins' horses always are ready. They fire and they win. That's what City do. City don't need to be the best team in the league in November. They don't even need to be the best team in January. They very rarely are, are they? They wait and they peak at the right time.
12:15Lewis Bowden:Pep is the master at peaking his teams at the right time, which I think Arsenal may or may not have shot their load too early again. And I think you may have dealt your hand and we're seeing...
12:25Reev:The last bit you said Arsenal were going to win it.
12:27Lewis Bowden:I still think you're going to win the league. I'm saying you may have. I still think you're better than City. I think the reason City won't do it this year is just because you're better than them. But we can't deny City, since the turn of the new year with the new signings, are better. They're improving and they're getting better. But I still think you'll be too good for them.
12:44Reev:It shows how much of, you look at the City team, say, at the start of January or December, sorry, and you thought, you know, where can they approve? They don't really need any more wingers and then they go and sign like a Semenya and Gahin. The impact they've had on that team instantly has been nothing short of sensational.
12:59Theo:Do you think Eze could be a key to us getting across the line? Because I know, obviously, there's a lot of confidence. You know he's a streaky player, but I mean, a friend of ours, Oli Thomas, always says like, March to May, Eze is like, Nino Messi.
13:13Lewis Bowden:So. But do you know what? Confidence is a big thing. I think, yeah, if you can get Eze playing well, we all know how good Eze is, but my thought,
13:20Reev:I haven't... I think the more, I actually think more importantly, I think, rather than us going forward, because we're starting to score a considerable amount of open play goals now, which was obviously the big argument before a couple of months ago, but I actually think our issue recently has been our defence and our defences, whereas the first half of the season, we've had such praise for defence, how good we've been in the clean sheets and how defensively solid we've been, but actually over the last few weeks, the goals we've conceded and the points we've dropped are down to a bit of a shakier defence and maybe some mistakes have creeped in.
13:51Reev:You look at the Raya one against Wolves, you look at even Declan Rice. Timber's been crapper as hell. Who? Timber's been poor, exactly. But even Declan Rice against Spurs, what he was doing in that corner when he gave the ball away was it was not really him. I thought that was harsh, you know. No, but he's not. He's just miscommunicated. But that's still a mistake that's led to a goal. Do you know what I mean? He corrected it. Don't get me wrong.
14:12Theo:Also, Raya's been much more active over the last sort of month or so. Can we talk about Raya quickly as well? Wolves' big mistake, I think, against Tottenham. You disagree, but I think it was a big mistake against Tottenham. The Wolves' one is more Gabriel, though. He's still sloppy, though.
14:31Lewis Bowden:It depends if Raya shouted, it's Gabriel's fault.
14:34Reev:But also, I think you're really harsh on Raya. I don't know. The blame on Raya for that goal is... No, no, no. He's kicked for seven yards out. I'm not saying I'm blaming Raya. I'm saying Raya should save it. They shouldn't have been allowed in that position. I think you look what Raya did towards the end of the game with the one off the line, the one when Jabby Simmons to his near post as well. Yeah, you can look at that, but that goal, he should have stopped. I think it's sad. He was saying this at the time, I was like, he's from seven yards out. If you watch it back, he literally moves his foot out of the way.
15:00He's trying to dive down. But you're looking at it in slow motion, mate. He's probably had like
15:03Reev:0.2 of a second to react to that. Yeah, that's awful. Yeah, no, but top level.
15:11Reev:I didn't blame him. I said he should save it. It's not right. He shouldn't be put into that situation, but he should save it, I think. If you're playing for Arsenal and going for the league, yeah. I don't know. I think definitely.
15:22Theo:A stat I saw after the Wolves game, I don't know if this is the same right now, but Arsenal had the fewest points of any Premier League leader ever since Leicester after 27 games. Does that suggest that Arsenal aren't that good or that Arsenal should be way ahead? Are Arsenal making this tighter than it should be? Yeah, the draws are the stuff that's killing us.
15:40Lewis Bowden:But they are the worst team ever to win the league if they're winning. Yeah. You're admitting that. Why? Just like, they're just not, they're just crap. And they're like, oh, then Declan Rice, have they got a world-class player?
15:50Reev:Arsenal are crap.
15:51Lewis Bowden:Are you? I just think you're just... We're crap.
15:54Reev:That's why we're top of the Champions League and the Final League Cup, top of the Premier League. I don't... How can you possibly say a team that is... I'm not saying we're going to win the quarter, but we're on for the... We're top of the Champions League, mate, and you're saying we're crap.
16:05Lewis Bowden:You're on for the quarter. You do, you'll be lucky...
16:07Reev:No, no, but, Tom... You'll be lucky to win one trophy. You honestly think Arsenal are crap. This season, you've talked about it's one of the best teams, the squad depth is incredible. You're the best team in the league, yeah. But you think we're crap. I think every champion ever... Yeah, the league is the best
16:19Theo:in the Champions League.
16:20Lewis Bowden:I think every champion ever in the Premier League beats this Arsenal. I don't think that's what we're asking. You said you think Arsenal are crap. Yeah, in terms of winners of the Premier League. But why are we top of the Champions League? Can we stop dropping the Champions League? What's that to do with it? Tottenham are four. Tottenham are four. Tottenham are like fourth, mate. Right. No, OK, so Tottenham are the fourth
16:38Arsenal win the final
16:39Reev:of the League Cup, top of the Champions League, top of the Premier League. Liverpool were top of the Champions League
16:43Lewis Bowden:last year and got dumped out in the round of 16. They're on the Champions League table. Carabag qualified. Carabag. Carabag are in a chance of qualifying. I think that's even worse than that. Exactly.
16:54Theo:Do you think Arsenal are crap? No, obviously not. I said crap. If you compare you to previous champions.
17:01Lewis Bowden:I think you're crap in terms of previous champions of the Premier League. I honestly think Leicester would probably beat you. Where do you think Where do you think Come on, man You've just been fucking That lets the team have more points than you at this stage of the season So? Where do you think Question, question So why are you turning your nose up at that? Where do you think this Arsenal team ranks from the 10 previous champions? 11 I don't really care as long as we win the league Well, yeah, that's a boring Great conversation then So then That's a general question because it shows if you agree with them or not Yeah?
17:30No, because that's a relevant question, Theo because then it shows if you actually maybe do agree with them I can't remember the top 10 Okay, that's fine
17:35Theo:That's fine
17:36Reev:I don't know It's all Man City.
17:38Theo:Shall we go through the last 10 Premier League champions?
17:41Reev:0-7, 0-8 or is it 0-8, 0-9 United? Well, 15, 16. The last 10. And then everyone else won. They're more explosive as well. They're more explosive. You just went 20 years back. Chelsea, City, City, City, City, Liverpool, City.
17:51Theo:We'll go back from last season. I mean, realistically, yeah.
17:54Lewis Bowden:I'm talking about recent football. I think Leicester beat you. I'm not even joking. I don't know about that. But I think all the other teams probably,
18:02Theo:like the City and the Liverpool side.
18:04Lewis Bowden:Vardy, we get into that team. Mahrez, we get into your team. Can't tell you get into your team 100-3 straight away Yeah but
18:11Theo:what are we doing Combine 11 or one-off What about the rest
18:15Reev:of the team
18:15Lewis Bowden:You've got a better defence You've got a better defence than that Leicester team yeah for sure Peak all Brighton What about
18:22Reev:left winger and the rest of the midfield You missed out
18:27Lewis Bowden:I think it's not I think it's not hard Look openly if you do win the league you win the league but I don't think it's hard to say you are the worst team to win the league in a long while but you win the league
18:37Theo:really quick one before we move on but you are the worst on Spurs there's no there's an asterisk is Eagle Tudor
18:44Reev:the guy to
18:45Theo:well nobody knows that but we keep saying that surely they're too good to go down are they
18:51Lewis Bowden:yeah they're not going to go down I suppose too good to go down they could of course they could they have a lot of injuries man
18:56Reev:I think they are they've got 12 first team injuries yeah they could long term
18:59Theo:but they could well I don't think they will I think
19:02Reev:I think you'd be surprised
19:03Theo:yeah but the games that they'll win are the ones that are against the other teams in that. Yeah, but they haven't won this year, mate.
19:09Lewis Bowden:Do you know what it was yesterday?
19:10Reev:I don't know. What is it they don't win ever again? They could go down, yeah.
19:13Lewis Bowden:Why is everyone suddenly acting like West Ham and Forrest are like these super teams and like they're definitely going to stay? No, but they're fucking, they're shocking.
19:20Reev:Have you watched West Ham? They're fucking dog shit. Tom, what you're not understanding is West Ham are actually winning Premier League. No, they're not. Yes, they are. They've just drawn home to Bournemouth. Okay, this year they've beaten Burnley, they've beaten Sunderland, they've beaten Tottenham. Fuck me, get the open top bus. You can't just disregard everything. They're beating teams around them. They're not going to catch Spurs. They're shit. They beat Spurs, mate. They beat Spurs away. They're not going to catch them. They're shit. Forrest to go now. I told you already. Tom, you're talking about your ass.
19:43You're trying shit as usual.
19:46Reev:Tom, they're beating teams around them. They're shit. Which is important. They're shit. That's a shit counter. You're just being pathetic. They're way shitter than Spurs. That's irrelevant. They're way shitter than Spurs. You're in different camps here. How many points are they off Spurs? Tom, you saying their shit is irrelevant if they're winning games and getting points and getting draws. How many points are they on Spurs? Four points. Four points off Spurs. Four points. On the trajectory they're currently on, they are.
20:11Theo:West Ham have only lost one of the last six. They've beaten Spurs.
20:17Lewis Bowden:That's a game on the weekend. I think they should win, West Ham. But the point is, they're getting points on the board, whereas the other teams aren't. Have you seen their clean sheet record now
20:26Theo:with Axel De Sasse in the team? Disaster. Well, apparently not. Before he signed, They were like one clean sheet in like six or seven games. I didn't remember that. But now he's got three in his last four. One of them was at Burton, though, in the FA Cup. Well, I mean, that's still a good record. I think.
20:45Lewis Bowden:They've had a good little room, but they're crap.
20:47Theo:Forrest are going down, mate. Forrest, last minute, winner.
20:50Lewis Bowden:I don't think Forrest will go down. It's going to be Spurs. Forrest looked good in the week, you know, in Europe. Like, really good.
20:57Theo:And they ducked all right against Liverpool yesterday.
20:59Lewis Bowden:Yeah, honestly, Gibbs White. and Hutchinson looked really good in the week against Fennel Bacchi, but I'm sorry. I just, I don't get this. So you're still firmly in the West Ham camp going down. West Ham are terrible. You two think Spurs are. I think we're in for Leicester City.
21:13Reev:But I don't, this whole like, it's not, you're acting like West Ham, the only team that can go down. Like it's only two points on the Forest and four points on Spurs. West Ham are in a better run of form than Spurs and Forest. I'm just giving you my opinion
21:24Lewis Bowden:and I'm strong on the opinion. Sorry.
21:26Reev:You're not looking at it on like, you're not looking at it on paper. I just think,
21:30Lewis Bowden:I'm looking at who's the worst team and it's West Ham. I think that's, I think momentum, at this point in the season, it's all about the momentum that teams have. It's so hard. Like, West Ham are in such a better position because they're built, although they're a few points behind, the momentum they've got and the mess that Tottenham are in. I don't think they're going down, but I also don't think Spurs are. So, so you think Vars will get it? Like, the team that's probably shitting themselves the most, the fans are probably shitting themselves the most, is genuinely Tottenham fans. I agree. Over West Ham.
21:52It will be because West Ham have actually got momentum. they can look forward and believe oh we're actually going to go and get some points here alright do you want a bet? that Tottenham go down?
22:02Lewis Bowden:no I'll just have a bet that West Ham will go down with you oh that's a good bet to take what do you mean?
22:07Theo:West Ham or anyone else? and there's every other team in the Prem
22:11Lewis Bowden:you definitely take a bet I'll have 100 quid nah I bet I've done too many 50 I've got too much money going out to you oh I've got too much money
22:18Reev:it's a close one I've got too much money going out to you
22:22Theo:should we touch on the Liverpool game? Because obviously McAllister scored twice Just Just By the skin of their teeth I shook his hand I'm going to get the disease No you'll be alright Do you think That goes papering Over the cracks At Liverpool Because the stats said The first half Was the They only managed Three touches In the first box And the 12th I thought that was Genuinely like
22:45Reev:Their worst performance This entire season I think they're just a bit Ironically
22:50Theo:They've actually looked better With Florian Vos Who's got injured In the warm up That's what I'm saying the reason as to why they weren't clicking necessarily they were really poor
22:58Reev:isn't this the longest run Salah's ever went without scoring in the prime he's never gone nine games and I think next week will be nine I don't think it's already been no he's eighth I believe is it they've got West Ham at home
23:07Theo:so he probably will score in that no West Ham's better than them no West Ham will beat them West Ham are a super team now don't you we're going to do it West Ham have got do you think they're going to get to Anfield and win crazy things happen let me tell you about Leicester City
23:19Reev:okay I don't think I don't think it's out of the question oh god what is the point of this show if we just say that let me tell you something a little bit about football Tom and anyone can be anyone in the Premier League as we've seen this season
23:31Theo:I do agree with that but I just think Liverpool and Anfield are just a different beast I mean did you think Burnley would draw at Stamford Bridge I kind of had a feeling after Chelsea went down to 10 men yeah he's a good header by Fleming
23:45Lewis Bowden:Burnley been alright lately you know Mr. Will McKenzie was a bit weird where he's like I'm not going to throw any players under the bus and then instantly throws a player under the bus. He didn't name him though. I know, but normally, who did they say it was? You can sort of deduct who it is really. It happened straight away. It happened a second later as well. They should have won it. Brun Larson should have won it. Yeah, the other head. The identical corner as well.
24:08Theo:I wanted to just quickly go back and let Liverpool for a second. Rio, the young lad.
24:13Lewis Bowden:Oh mate, he was on Rio when he came on there.
24:15Reev:I think he should start starting. Yeah. Yeah, well, so he's not doing fuck off. Ultimately, right now, he is better than Salah they've got nothing to lose like do you know what I mean Salah just looks he just looks so off it like he really does I think it'll be a good it could be it's a good way of phasing him in because there's no pressure I agree it's even the little things like you know when you try you know like in previous seasons where he does the outside of the boot cross with his left foot and it just it's nailed even like against Forrest but you know what I mean he gets lucky but like at the moment he's still he's trying it and it's not working his little things like that that are just it's making a big difference full sharpness is it it doesn't really look most Salah levels of I think that's just him at the moment I think his legs are gone I don't think yeah and when he came off he was just like I know you've taken me taking me off shut up Dutch as well
25:12Theo:Carl August said he did more than Gakpo and Salah is this the end of Liverpool careers for them to come to an end Gakpo I don't know about Gak, but I think that's such a weird one.
25:22Lewis Bowden:Liverpool fans hate him, don't they? It's a weird one, but he gets goals. He does. He has been poor this season. I'm not his biggest fan. I remember when he first came and when he was playing up front, he was shocking on it. And then they moved him to the left and we were like, fuck, this is a player now. But I feel like full-backs have figured him out because he's only got one trick. But he cuts inside his cheek.
25:41Theo:He was a left winger at PSV.
25:42Lewis Bowden:Yeah, he's a natural left winger, but I think he can play up front. He's more of a body type for a striker as well. Yeah, he doesn't look like a winger. Yeah, you're right. I think the Euros, he played well off the left as well. I don't know, he's a weird one, isn't he? Yeah. Me personally, if you could get like 60 mil for him. 6-7.
26:02Theo:6-7 mil?
26:03Lewis Bowden:Yeah.
26:04Theo:I don't think his record when he starts isn't great either, right? Like the Liverpool matches and the results that they've had when he actually starts.
26:12Lewis Bowden:I can't say I know tons and tons of Liverpool fans, but the ones I do know, what I see online is, they're not I don't think they're big fans of Gak Pro
26:19Theo:it's probably because they don't win the game when he starts
26:22Reev:like Bruno G yeah obviously we briefly mentioned Chelsea Burnley that's just such a poor result for Chelsea isn't it they should have killed the game it's such a poor result
26:32Theo:so they'd be worried that's their sixth red card this season they've not got any players over the years of 20 years
26:38Reev:the pattern of red cards at Chelsea is is that just a lack of experience it's a young team isn't it I don't even get that because like they have experience playing football you'd imagine if they're playing for Chelsea. Like, the Nord probably don't get red cards all the time. It's management the game and just keeping your temperament a little bit. Yeah, that Fafana challenge is just silly, isn't it? Yeah, Chelsea have not fielded a player over 28 all season, which is mental.
27:01Theo:Pretty horny. Who is their oldest player in this world? I'll have a look. Good question. I don't know. Sanchez? Yeah, might be right there, you know. What, and he's what, 27? Rhys James? He doesn't look it. 26? Yeah, he definitely does. How's Rhys James still so young? I don't know. A guy called Rob at 26. Yeah, Torsen and Sanchez, both 28. Yeah, I think...
27:26Reev:It's mad that Palmer's 23 and Neto's 22. It's like, how fucking...
27:31Lewis Bowden:I didn't realise Neto was younger than Palmer. Yeah, long few years ahead of that. To answer your question, I don't know. I misread it. I don't know. I don't know what it is. I think it's... Yeah. it was just ill disciplined stupidity that was such a stupid tackle to make another goal for
27:48Reev:Gio Pedro though
27:49Lewis Bowden:a little bit of
27:51Reev:hope for Chelsea that Gio Pedro's coming a bit long yeah he's
27:55Theo:five league goals
27:56Reev:and six games I thought Neto did well
27:57Lewis Bowden:for the goal actually
27:58Reev:I thought Neto is good though no he's good yeah I think he's actually had a good season he hasn't really got as much output as I think he deserves what's his output this season he's got in the Prem five goals four assists I guess it's alright isn't it
28:12Lewis Bowden:that's about his standard don't it
28:14Reev:like this stat
28:15Lewis Bowden:he was never I really rate that I love him as a player but even at Wolves he didn't I know he was playing for Wolves but even when the Wolves were really good he weren't scoring loads of goals his output's not enough his output's never been high but I think he's a fantastic winger I reckon he's horrible to play against he's like a little rat isn't he like fast
28:32Theo:so we've got Chelsea Liverpool on 45 United on 45 obviously playing tonight who's who's getting the top 5 I'm not in my field
28:41Lewis Bowden:I'm not in need and bad Who's missing out In Champions League I think I think Chelsea miss out I think Villa miss out
28:48Reev:Six point gap though The big gap They're crap
28:52Theo:Well let's move on to that then 1-1 at home To Leeds Tammy Abraham You say Chelsea I agree with Chelsea
28:57Reev:I think it goes Villa Man United Third four I'm fucking miles off it now I mean look Villa have actually got Some really interesting fixtures Coming up Obviously got Wolves away I'm guessing you'll be going to
29:11Reev:then they got Chelsea at home and United away so they're playing teams around them which is big six nine-pointers going on there I think they've
29:20Lewis Bowden:looked really poor the last few games Leeds are unbelievable they miss Kamara so much and McGinn you know McGinn is such a big loss for them such an underrated loss Abraham has done alright though Abraham has done alright but they're not the same with
29:35Theo:Watkins just doesn't seem to be clicking at the moment.
29:38Lewis Bowden:He's not, but they are better with Watkins. They just don't. No, I agree with that. But it's Abraham getting the goals, isn't it, at the moment? They'll kick themselves if they don't get it now because they're going to end with no trophies now. They might win the Europa. Oh, yeah, Europa, sorry. But you would have thought, well, FA Cup especially, you would have thought they would have been wanting to make a run for that. Yeah, we get it. You beat them in the FA Cup. Oh, yeah, I forgot which team did that. No, but would you not agree a team like Aston Villa will probably be looking at FA Cup League Cup this year.
30:03I think they should be up there. They'll be looking at the Europa.
30:06Lewis Bowden:And they're third in the play. I'm sure they get Champions League.
30:10Reev:They also have the Europa League king as their manager.
30:13Lewis Bowden:That is true.
30:13Theo:If they continue to drop points and it gets a bit tight and they're in the Europa League,
30:18Lewis Bowden:do you think they focus on the Europa League?
30:22Theo:I do think they will focus on the Europa League.
30:23Reev:I think the next two weeks will decide where their priorities lie. What did he ask? I think. What would they prioritise? it's not both no the league or Europa League what happens when you win the Europa League you get the Champions League and oh sorry
30:41Lewis Bowden:oh they get both I thought you said why don't you just do both
30:44Reev:I think next two weeks will decide their priorities for the rest of the season you see they look at the results against Chelsea and Man United and then they'll probably reassess and they'll do we put everything into the Europa League because that will guarantee them Champions League football I completely agree with you
30:56Lewis Bowden:because I think they will realise the Europa League is probably the more attainable thing as well it might be the easier way
31:03Reev:of getting Champions League football as well. Especially with some of the
31:05Lewis Bowden:points they've dropped recently. Because, I mean, Liverpool are on 45 as well. It's not just Chelsea and Man United. Yeah. Exactly.
31:11Theo:Quick one on Leeds. They deserve a bit of credit. Yes, they do. Only lost twice since December. Yeah. Yeah. I mean... Surprise us all. Sorry, I didn't hear what you said. Yeah, they're plucky. They're amazing at home. They've got Anton Stack. They've got a lot of fight in them. Unbelievable. What a free kick that is, by the way. That was class.
31:27Reev:Mate, I love that free kick. Just fucking strike it. He strikes it. Yeah, he was. He's getting on the plane. who
31:34Lewis Bowden:he played really well the weekend
31:36Reev:that free kick is so good it is no you can't
31:40Lewis Bowden:I'd be fuming if my goalie
31:42Reev:you're expecting a cross
31:44Lewis Bowden:I don't care
31:45Reev:the chances of him first of all taking on the shot but getting it in the toppest of bins
31:50Lewis Bowden:it wasn't actually it wasn't right it's a wonderful looking goal but Martin Escher it's brilliant from stack and fair play to him but
31:59Theo:that's a lack of concentration from the goalie also shout out to Tim Sherwood for saying it was 40 yards away on Soccer Saturday.
32:05Lewis Bowden:The ball might have moved 40 yards where it bent. Would you not be annoyed if Raya let that in? 100%. Do you think Raya would let that in? Would you think he'd be caught sleeping like that? It's poor, isn't it? I'm not taking away from stack at all. I'm looking at that fraud in goal.
32:24Reev:Well, you know I'm his biggest hater. Are you?
32:27Lewis Bowden:Yeah. I didn't. He says that like he's a well-known I'd like more, pitch side.
32:34Theo:I'm not confirmation. What do you think? I just like the goal. I mean, I feel like the only keeper who gets it. I think the only keeper who probably saves it is Donnarumma. I think Donnarumma gets it. I think everyone else gets it. If any goalkeeper that's just not set towards the cross would save it. Yeah, but they always fall for that, don't they? You're not going to think he's going to fucking strike it. Yeah, it happens every week. And you'd always fancy yourself to be able to get a cross. I think it's a... Like, sometimes a strike is that good. Would you not be disappointed if Pope let that in?
33:00Yeah, it'd be fuming, but he still would let it in. He's let it worse in, trust me. We won the weekend. Yeah, and the fucking week before against Carabao. Can't stop conceding to the fucking front post. I'll tell you what, Lou, you had a good weekend, didn't you? Nah. I mean, we played well, which is, we haven't won at a yard in 17 games, is it? No, we've lost like 12 in a row, 17 in a row, something mad like that. 12 in a row? It's either 12 or 17.
33:26Theo:It's on the 21 Premier League Hall matches. City are unbeaten in against Newcastle at the Etihad. They've got your numbers, mate. I think, yeah, they've won the past 17. They're winning 17 of them. Do you know what I like? Oh, yes, man. Yeah, look, we were never... It was always being a big ass to win. I'd hope we'd get at least a draw, but we played really well. Man City had to, especially the second half, like Harland's and Burns battle was class and the referee actually let it play out, which is... They should have got a couple more, though. Like, there was a couple opportunities where somebody could have...
33:51I know, but also, like, I mean, I'm not going to complain about refs because, like, the banal... but I'm going to complain about it. No, no, because the Bernardo one, the reason he got yellowed initially wasn't a yellow, so I can't get angry at him not getting the second yellow, even though that is a second yellow. But he shouldn't have had the first or whatever. The Dan Byrne one's weird because he was offside when he scored. Everybody pushes him. He pushed him offside, but he was offside before the push, but then the ball wasn't kicked by then. So he might have jumped by. By the way, that should have been a fucking yellow card and pen, in my opinion.
34:20But by the rules of the game, it is. By the rules of the game, it is. you can't just push him offside well there you go because it's not even a bias it's just this you can't do that Gabriel's on the foul then but it is what it is it was a good performance yeah yeah he's done him there Gordon's looking good up front how in I've always been how in
34:38Reev:yeah I heard that if he lost against Newcastle he was under pressure you really
34:42Lewis Bowden:you're pushing for the top 10 now yeah yeah no no we're doing what Aston Villa's doing we're going to divert our attention to obviously winning the Champions League the Champions League are you pulling that face
34:55Theo:do you reckon you'll get Nick Carson but we still have a bet that we're going to go further than you who's either Chelsea or Barca either Chelsea or Barca so you're out I fancy us against Chelsea I don't know even Barcelona we were decent against in the Champions League where we're so much better I've told you I think they'll have a good run I think you're writing us off we're actually improving right now we're going to laugh we've beaten Tottenham are you dropping down the table we've just lost to Man City 2-1 but it was actually a very good away We've beat Aston Villa. We beat Tottenham. Beat Caravac.
35:27I think... We are improving. Ramsey's getting better. Lange's getting a little bit better. Valtemar is now sitting deep.
35:34Lewis Bowden:He's a midfielder, apparently. I don't think as many teams in the Champions League will want to come up against Newcastle, especially away from that. Do you know what this is from the Arsenal fans? It's called arrogance. Yeah. It's called arrogance from a team that's never won it. It's just suggested that Barcelona might beat you.
35:48Theo:No, for laughing at the idea But they're laughing at the idea that Newcastle might be able to go up. You're laughing at any possibility that Newcastle go through.
35:55Reev:Would you have it any other way? Well, yeah. I just didn't go on by. You laughed at us when we thought Arsenal would win yesterday. Yeah. I didn't laugh at you. You did. That's just not true. I fancy us. We're improving, but what I'll say about City is they had to grind that result out there. And that's what I mean. They have a bit of grit. There was, although we were on top of them, I never really thought we were going to get the goal because they were just like, Haaland was playing as a centre-back. He had some big foot. He was, I swear, They look a lot more solid at the background. Harlan was man-marking Dan Byrne.
36:24Do you know what is really, really good for England as well?
36:28Reev:It's O 'Reilly coming back into midfield. That's his natural position, mate. Yeah, and he's looking... How good is he looking, mate? He's good. Is there a world in which he starts for England?
36:39Lewis Bowden:Not in midfield. It'll be Anderson, won't it? I think Holt has that starting position on the left now as well. And that's not even Newcastle by us. No, no, but you could definitely see him starting over Lewis Hall. I don't think he would I don't think he would if you go off the games at the moment like we've been shit but Lewis Hall's reached like a new level I really played really well at left back
36:58Reev:he's been arguably one of City's best players for me I think I'm not trying to create an argument I'm actually just
37:03Theo:I'm actually just saying like except for Tommy T innit I think Tommy T knows what to do he just wants free tickets I've already said all England managers just want free tickets I think he was at every game this weekend fucking bullshit just get you don't need the tickets he's watching them in first
37:20Lewis Bowden:he's what's wrong with football you know what I mean imagine if he didn't go to the games you'd be saying oh fuck you know he's sitting at home not even there he's also had to look at
37:27Reev:two of his potential left backs
37:29Lewis Bowden:yeah it's an easy game to go to
37:30Theo:to just scout both of them isn't it nah he had a pain
37:34Reev:right Stein what's your next fixtures Lou out of interest they're all difficult no no we got three home games in the row well you got Carabag then you got Everton at home United at home City at home in the FA Cup Chelsea away and then you got the... Yeah, I mean, we are proven. Like, from where we are in the league right now, like, Everton and United are must-wins for us. Chelsea away is a must-win, really. Every game is a must-win. Obviously, Sunderland are home, but fucking hell, can't be arsed for that. Do you think you can beat City in the FA Cup? At home, yeah. I fancy us a little bit. I do.
38:09We've already beat them at home once a season. We played a lot better this time. I mean, on the reverse...
38:13Theo:Didn't we just read it was 17 in a row? Yeah, no. That's the Genders part now. Yeah, St. James' Park. We beat them at home this season. Obviously, in the League Cup, they beat us, but we had to sort of like... We fucked that up. We had to go for it in the second game. We fucked it. I fancy us. I fancy us, though. And they killed it. It's a place to go, St. James' Park, though. We've already beat them at home this season, so there's some hope, but it is my city. And you've lost them at home, as well. Yeah, so we have a 50-50 chance.
38:38Lewis Bowden:No, you don't.
38:40Reev:Crystal Palace, they beat Wolves, but the Palace fans were not happy, were they?
38:44Lewis Bowden:This was such a bad game. Wolves fucking should have won, by the way.
38:47Reev:Yeah, there were protests at the... That penalty's shocking, isn't it? You know he's missed five in a row?
38:52Lewis Bowden:I don't understand why, man, how'd he take it? I don't know why Armstrong isn't taking it, either. Oh, yeah, well, fucking hell, yeah.
38:56Theo:Tully's missed five in a row. I know. I do feel for him because... Do you? It was such an insane penalty. It was. As soon as he stepped on...
39:05Lewis Bowden:I knew. That's his first one for...
39:07Reev:Yeah, we were in the way end. He missed five in a row. But he missed four for... Was it Lil he came from?
39:11Theo:Bruce...
39:12Reev:Are you sure that's right?
39:13Lewis Bowden:It can't be missing five in a row. It's his fifth one. but we literally said in our group chat as soon as he everyone was like he's going to miss
39:20Theo:well I was there wasn't I and we all jumped and cheering and then he stepped up and we all went yeah why didn't Armstrong take it that's so weird I must be some kind of hierarchy because he's been there for a while he deserves a goal he does work hard he's not good enough yeah but like a certain point it's like
39:34Reev:he actually has been four in a row prior to that
39:36Lewis Bowden:are you sure that's true before you keep shouting it 100 % true can someone check that
39:41Reev:they said it on commentary that's like Ronaldo on free kicks with Portugal I've seen this but you do tend to get it wrong Say it on commentary I watched the game I did say you had 100 % stuck Last week And it wasn't right I watched it on the radio
39:52Lewis Bowden:Um No Palace were fucking I don't know what Wharton's even doing For the penalty as well I think Wharton's been Really poor I hate that rule I think that's a red card I do The advantage No The penalty he gave away I think that's a red card He just The rule is The double jeopardy rule Yeah because he went He didn't go for the ball At all He slid in the back Of his legs How's that not a red card? I don't want to fucking stick up with them fuckers but I thought I know the letter of the law it's a yellow but to me that's a red card all day
40:25Reev:Going back to Crystal Palace though it's a weird time to be a Palace fan because you're in the most successful point of the club's history you've got a board who hasn't really backed the manager after winning That is such bullshit That's their view I know I don't get how they haven't backed him Gladstone is openly well Gladstone was leaving at the end of the season so they know that he's also come out and said a few things and whatnot. There's a big fallout between the fans and the hierarchy at the Chris Packers. What do the fans expect? More than what the... Can I really...
40:52Lewis Bowden:I really want to break this down. So, they sold Eze for a record transfer fee for him to go to the next stage of his career to one of the biggest teams in the world, the best team in the league, right? For a record fee. They then spent how much on Pino? How much... They broke their transfer record on Brennan Johnson. And then broke it again on Strand Larson. Yeah, Strand Larson, they broke the record on. Could you say those two are too little too late and he should be doing that at the start of the season. You know what I mean? They signed Pina at the start of the season for 30 million. So what their point probably is...
41:21Lewis Bowden:Trent Rasmussen is a solution to the Mateta. I know, but what their point probably is is like we've just had this great thing. Now in this summer is the time for us to really recruit. But they couldn't because of PSR. I don't know what their PSR situation is. Should they have sold
41:33Reev:Gehi in the summer?
41:35Lewis Bowden:Is their PSR that bad? Is their PSR that bad? They then went and got 20 million for Gehi who wasn't going to sign a new contract and was going to leave for free at the end of the year. They could have got 60 in the summer There's no way their PSR's fired I don't even know what happened with Gay in the summer Weird, isn't it? As far as I was aware, he was going and then it just fell through So we don't know what happened there So I don't understand They could have backed more in summer I can't think of any crazy signings that they've done that's fucked their PSR in recent years They'll be in a steady place Do you know how much Palace won't make any money, revenue-wise?
42:04Lewis Bowden:They're attached to Sainsbury's, remember? There's sponsorship right there They'll have a commission They'll have a commission on the middle field They get 10 % on each meal deal. I can't imagine they have much room to wiggle in terms of spending money. Even so, Lewis, they broke their transfer record twice this season. I just feel for them a little bit because it reminds me of when we went fifth and then we just went straight back down to shit. We didn't invest in that initial period afterwards. Obviously, they've done it now halfway through the season when it's all went to shit a bit. Realistically, they could have spent that money at the start of the season.
42:40They should have really went for the season. in the summer travel. I think a little bit as well,
42:43Reev:they should have, I think a part of it, they should have been in the Europa League as well, I remember. Yes. They should have been in the Europa League. Yeah, that's instantly going to piss you off as well.
42:50Theo:That's a fault of the owners as well. Exactly.
42:52Reev:So I think that's... No, it weren't. It is, because basically
42:55Theo:you had a, you have, so Forrest, obviously multiple owners, there's a few clubs and you've got to fill in a fall before March.
43:02Lewis Bowden:No, but their argument was, Texture never had any, he just owned a percentage. He never, he was never like the main shareholder. So to their mind, They never broke that rule. That was the whole issue with it. And I do agree with them. The rule's bullshit. It is bullshit. Texter never had any say. They've never dealt with Lyon or the other club he was involved. I can't remember. Is it Botafogo? So they were fucked over in that situation. But I'm a bit... I see Palace quite similar to us. We're obviously a bigger club than Palace. But in the terms of... You've had your FA Cup win. You're in Europe now.
43:41Lewis Bowden:like you're not going to get down let's just let's relax with all this
43:44Reev:but it happened at West Ham when they won European football as well they weren't happy with the type of football they were playing under Moyes they wanted Moyes out in the end and then look at them now I know that's what I'm saying I think you can understand their frustration a little bit that is slightly different
43:54Lewis Bowden:but I just think sometimes know your role man know who you are like your crystal palace what do you expect this season was their chance to break that mould because eventually obviously you can accept that's where you're going to be forever really unless you're going to get like an unbelievable order who just gives loads of money out but this was their moment to sort of break that mould and they have thrown it away and next it is they're sort of frustrated if they're going back to it now they also physically cannot deal with the two games a week they can't do it so they're obviously going to have a poorer season whilst trying to win the conference league I'll bet you when they win the conference league at the end of the season which they probably will they won't be fucking protesting so I just don't I really think you need to be like right the Glasner thing would piss me off to be honest I think he should just walk if he's going to be like a big titty babby the way he's acting I don't know who he thinks he is I think they're being harsh on the owners a little bit as an outsider yeah as an outsider I think you've been a bit harsh on a group of people I'm alright in saying
44:46Reev:if they win the conference league they're back in the Europa League
44:48Lewis Bowden:and they would be
44:49Reev:allowed in the Europa League this time around
44:50Lewis Bowden:yeah
44:51Reev:imagine this you've got to constantly get a degree in it down
44:54Lewis Bowden:because Texture's not there anymore I really do think just relax a bit lads yeah I would say as shit as it can be still enjoy like you still you're in fucking Europe like so you can enjoy that at least. Don't fucking... And they're probably... Otherwise you're suffering from success, you know what I mean? It's never enough. You always chase... It's like you're always chasing the demon. Right. Yeah. Nice, man. Like a blaze thing. Chase the dragon. It's chasing the dragon, not the demon. Yeah. Chase the eagle. Eagle squad. What do you think? Are you serious?
45:33Theo:On what...
45:34Lewis Bowden:My opinion. I have to give you an opinion.
45:36Theo:What we've just been talking about in the last 10 minutes. I think it's a little bit that there's a sour taste in their mouth for no reason for no reason
45:47Reev:I don't think they have any reason to feel this way is that what you've just said
45:52Theo:for no reason well it's over exaggerated isn't it it's like Lou would say it's like hyperbole
45:56Reev:so you're telling the Crystal fans they're over exaggerating it you're telling them how to feel no but I think by the end of the season it'll be a totally different circumstance wouldn't it I sigh although like overall you are probably correct You've been there and done that in that situation. I feel that I know, I can sort of relate to their frustration. They feel like they're on the edge of something and now it's like accepting you going back to... No, but you do. They would have done.
46:19Lewis Bowden:What edge of what edge? Where did they finish last season? Do you know what? Get in the trophy and think we can kick on here. Do you know what, mate?
46:24Reev:It will be a multitude of things. It will be first getting kicked out of Europa League. They would just be fuming about that. Yeah. And then it will be the Glasner thing, what he came out and said. It would be the fact that maybe... I'd have sacked him over. They've broken their transfer window, but they haven't built the depth around the club which they knew they needed to handle two games but they can't I think that opportunity is the opportunity you know the whole like by the way they also kept Wharton which everyone said even if he was going to leave and then they also lost other than Wharton they lost Eze they lost Gehi they're the two players who they loved and like they're the heart-filled people palace but they'll just be do you know what it'll be a number of things it'll be frustration from previous years their ownership over previous years as well it would just be a pent-up frustration that now it's come to the boiling point for fuck's sake, lads, we had it right there.
47:09Reev:Did they know? No, but they had something. I'm not saying it was guaranteed, but they had a glimpse of it. They had an opportunity. They had a glimpse of a new life. You know what I mean? They had a glimpse of a possibility. I think they had an opportunity.
47:20Theo:Are you not thinking that Palace fans are self-aware that players do leave their club and go to the club?
47:25Reev:No, it's not. I think it's the opportunities missed. It's just like what I just said.
47:28Lewis Bowden:Okay, can you ask me what the opportunity missed is? When last season they finished 12th, this season they are 13th, last season they finished 12 points off Europe what chance are they missing what big just because they won the FA Cup the FA Cup was their route into Europe Crystal Palace have never been close to being a European team I'm not saying that they're correcting their thinking I'm saying I can understand why they feel that way because like it's more out of emotion because what were they on the cusp of they could have they could have built massively on the season that they had last year and really off the back of an FA Cup winning season in the summer transfer window invest in the team Don't panic buy halfway through the year.
48:06Lewis Bowden:Not a lot, I don't think.
48:08Theo:If you look at the team, Tommy, if you look at the team, it's not beneficial they're in the conference league because they'll probably win that. They probably wouldn't have won the Europa League. Yeah. Like, they'll have a better season winning that tournament and then going into the tournament.
48:20Lewis Bowden:They also lost, so they were never on the cusp of finishing in Europe. They're in a similar position they were last season. They've lost their two best players. They've tried to reinvest it when they felt they could or when it was right. Don't forget they signed Pina for 30 million to replace Eze. That was when he just hasn't been that good. And then in January when they've lost Gahey. But you've said it yourself. They didn't have a team for the two games a week. Precisely, but you can't just magic it up, Lewis. They can sign in plays in summer transfer window. I don't know how restricted they were ready.
48:54But clearly not that restricted because they just spent however much money in January. They had money, mate. I don't know. Because they've just spent how much did they spend in January like 80 and they only brought 20 in there's money there like there's money there
49:07Lewis Bowden:but that might fuck them for the summer now we don't know do we yeah no but that's even more stupid because they've chosen they could have bought in the previous summer they've spent even more they spent a premium but they spent a premium halfway through the year
49:18Theo:is the argument against that if they spent that 60 million this summer they wouldn't have had that spend in January and they could have really needed it so no but that's silly that's like saying I've broke my arm but I'm going to wait for someone to chop it off before I go to the hospital what
49:31Lewis Bowden:that's not what that was so I'm injured we need people in this summer transfer window but I'm going to wait for it to get even worse before I sign someone but they didn't think they did because they kept don't forget they kept Wharton they kept Gaye they kept Sartre for two games a week you would have thought that is poor planning maybe but I think the level of the conference league they probably thought they could get away with it yeah well they're fucking dumb dumbs bored inept opportunities missed I agree I just think I probably agree I probably agree with you that their depth was never enough and they needed to do more but I'm not going to pretend to know their finances but my point is this whole thing they were on the cusp they were never on the cusp of anything Palace have they ever even finished in the top 10 in the Premier League I don't think they would have expected to I don't think they would have expected to be finishing in the European places this year I think all they would have wanted I think all they would have wanted is to put themselves in
50:22Reev:with a fighting chance do you know what mate they're on the cusp going from like 12 to like 9th, 8th which is actually a big jump It's more, let's give it a go. Let's go for it. If you look where Brentford are, that'll be frustrating. We don't have to do it, but let's at least give ourselves a chance. Okay, but let me just explain
50:37Lewis Bowden:why clubs don't do that. Because the risk, the money it would take, right, usually, I know you can bring up cases where they've done like forest or whatever, or walls and they're called. That's the city. Usually clubs who finish around 12th, 13th, blah, blah, blah, like Charlton always used to finish mid-table back in the day. To make that jump from 13th, like Palace, to an 8th or to a 9th, it's probably going to cost you 100 odd million, right? But if that fails, you're then 100 million in the hole and you're then even further down. So the risk and reward doesn't match up. That's why they don't do it.
51:12Lewis Bowden:Again, I completely agree with what you're saying. But fans don't give a fuck about that. Yes, 100%. And that's why fans, I understand, think that way. Because they're like, just fucking go through it. Yeah, fuck it, we're not a business. But they're a business and they have to think of it. No, but fuck that. Yeah, they have to look at the risk and reward. When also, by the way, the board, Crystal Palace have never won a trophy. Ever?
51:30Theo:Yeah.
51:30Lewis Bowden:So let's not pretend like they're this club who deserve to be fucking doing whatever. They've won an FA Cup. They're probably, possibly, going to win a European trophy this year and then be in the Europa League next year. To me, that's a well-run club. They need to win that fucking thing. Crystal Palace, really, the size of their club and who they are as a club, barely even deserve to be in the Premier League, let alone in European competitions winning FA Cup. I think it's more just give it a go. That's the mentality. I don't think they disagree. I don't think they think they're entitled to it.
51:57I think they're just like, Howard let's go for it man this is how it's we've sat and been shit and most of them have probably sat and watched what they have absolutely just average all their lives and now finally there's a bit of hope so that's where it's like it's like for a lot of them it'll be 30, 40, 20 depending on their age years of just like waiting and you know what it's like I know 100 %
52:18Reev:but I also can see the business side of it it's going to be really interesting next season if they say they do win the conference league right and they are it'll be a totally different I really wonder who they're going to get in to replace glass. They reckon it's
52:28Lewis Bowden:Robbie Keane, don't they? He's like odds on. Really? That's interesting. He's all been like
52:33Reev:Berend Svaro.
52:35Lewis Bowden:It's the Hungarian team.
52:37Theo:Hungarian team. They released a Falcon before every show.
52:42Lewis Bowden:They're like the biggest team in Hungary. Oh, he can release the Eagle. Interesting. Who did they beat the other week? I don't know. In Europe. Was it one of the Scottish teams? I don't know. Because he did that big speed. Anyway, it doesn't matter. They've got a player
52:55Theo:which is actually Roberto Firmino as well.
52:57Lewis Bowden:If you're a Palace fan, let us know what you think. Yeah, please don't cry about it. We're outsiders looking in. You will know the club better than us.
53:05Reev:The final game, I think it's the final game we haven't discussed. Sunderland lost to Fulham. No, it's not. No, not Fulham. The penultimate game we haven't discussed. Sunderland lost to Fulham at home. Fulham, by the way, were fucking excellent.
53:19Lewis Bowden:He's such a good manager, Marco Silva. Could he be a choice for Crystal Palace?
53:23Theo:What? That's sideways slash downwards. Why would he leave Fulham to go to Palace? If they're European football.
53:30Lewis Bowden:You wouldn't leave Fulham to go to Palace? You never know.
53:33Reev:Up to 10th. They're one point off form at the south in London.
53:36Lewis Bowden:Yeah. Just the shitter part of London. Why would he leave Fulham? Why would he leave Fulham? Like the nicest part. They're a richer club. They've got better players. Even Box Park shut down in Fulham. He gets a discount on the meal deals. Not that Marcus Silva would go there. I will say though, Sunderland were poor first off but they looked better as soon as Xhaka come on as soon as he come on they'd missed him hadn't they
54:03Theo:huge difference but mate
54:04Lewis Bowden:that third Fulham goal was I think a beauty on the break a Wobi little chip finish mate Fulham I hate that kit though they need to stop wearing that kit oh the green bright green one
54:14Theo:that pitch is in serious bad condition though isn't it yeah I thought that yeah remember the pitch oh yeah
54:21Reev:it was boggy as that wasn't it yeah that Sunderland pitch is stinking
54:24Lewis Bowden:but
54:25Reev:Harry Wilson got another assists. Obviously since the start of November only Haaland and Bruno have got more assists than him. How did you know that?
54:32Theo:I've been involved in more Premier League goals. It literally says it on the paper. He read half of it in the case. He's literally there. He's a brilliant winger. If you're him do you have another season at Fulham? He's out of contract isn't he?
54:53Lewis Bowden:Tough one. depends who comes in for him can I say I think he's not young though he's 27 28 but he's in his prime what
55:03Reev:is there a world in which say Salah leaves at the end of the season Liverpool have an option of Bowen or Harry Wilson on that right wing didn't Wilson play for Liverpool yeah he did
55:13Theo:he did years ago he's 29 next month I don't think
55:18Lewis Bowden:I don't think Wilson is the answer to Liverpool will it be Bowen no I don't think he is either no If they were
55:25Theo:10 years younger Yeah maybe But I mean Wilson couldn't make it
55:29Lewis Bowden:At Liverpool years ago So I don't know why He's suddenly He's a player now though Isn't he Sometimes Well that's Salah and Chelsea mate Me personally I think I think Fulham might get Into Europe So I think he'll stay Well certainly If that's the case He would wouldn't he
55:42Theo:They reckon They reckon Villa Is Villa Favourite to get him Yeah yeah yeah That would be a great signing For Villa That stinks of a Villa signing As well doesn't it 100 % I just want him I think Raul Jimenez though full British front line mate one of the best strikers in the league like in Abraham Roses well he's better than Jocko is he well proven it time and time again there wouldn't be a question about the title would there if he was at Arsenal
56:04Lewis Bowden:yeah I think it's quite nice seeing him in his back because I thought he was done at professional football is that the best comeback ever Check, maybe. Ramsey's was pretty good. Thing with Jimenez though was when he come back for like a year, he was shocking. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
56:24Theo:Confidence though, isn't it?
56:25Lewis Bowden:Maybe, yeah. But you think with an injury like that, because it's not physical per se, is it?
56:31Theo:More of a mental thing, isn't it?
56:32Lewis Bowden:It is incredible. He's suddenly now just again a top-femiss. You could see it originally when he returned, like every 50-50.
56:38Theo:Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
56:41Lewis Bowden:But I think, yeah, mate, I really like Fulham. I think they're good, man. I think they're really good to watch. They're really well-rounded side, aren't they? Well-coached. They're just a good team, man.
56:51Reev:They've also got experience in the team. Yeah. A lot of experience in that side. And also, the manager's been there for so long now. He's got, you get that, like, he's got to be one of the longest. He's got to be someone Spurs need to look at.
57:03Theo:Bear in mind how minimal they were in terms of activity in the summer. Anyone did in the summer? Nope.
57:09Reev:that's really impressive I know they sign Oscar Bobbin
57:12Theo:that's a good sign do you think if Fulham
57:13Reev:were to get Europe Marcus Silva would turn down Tottenham for them no just stay at Fulham in Europe no
57:21Theo:it depends what shooters he gets from Tottenham problem is he'd probably be offered a lot of money to go there's no I mean it's an individual taking a different job he's been waiting for that big move for a long time in his career hasn't he he's had to like weirdly there's not been so much noise about him ever moving. It's because he doesn't always be up there. He never kicks up a bus.
57:42Lewis Bowden:And also, no disrespect, it's Fulham and it people don't really take that much notice of those clubs. They don't.
57:48Reev:They started the season quite poor.
57:50Lewis Bowden:Yeah.
57:51Reev:They really did.
57:51Lewis Bowden:Everyone was saying I won the run. But he must be looking about like Graham Potter's getting these Morescas and he's like I think you'll be surprised. I think this summer he'll be I'll be amazed if Spurs don't even consider him. But they're probably just Arnold Pochettino aren't they? Really? I don't think they should. Never go back, man. I don't think they should go back. Never go back.
58:13Reev:Someone who brought it back, Brighton winning away at Brentford is a huge result for them. They're so strange. Honestly, I hate them. They were brilliant as well. I fucking hate them.
58:22Lewis Bowden:That is such a big result. I was in like the last 10 of my last one standing and I went for Brentford.
58:27Theo:Yeah. I think most people thought that was going to be a Brentford win. And I was going to go Palace. It's the first time they've scored since the 31st of January. The Bruggen out for Callagherst for that one. Right, I believe. They're honestly,
58:37Lewis Bowden:I fucking hate them.
58:40Reev:That's their first league win since Burnley on the 3rd of January. And they were really good against a very solid Remington team.
58:45Lewis Bowden:They're the weirdest team in the league, Brighton. By far. Also, by far.
58:48Theo:Shout out. It's not even on here, but shout out. He's done it. Milner's record. Do you know what
58:55Reev:is pissing me off about this, right? Oh, the minutes thing. No, no, no. Can't they just let him have his credit? People on Twitter are so quick to undermine that, oh, he's actually got so many more minutes less than Gareth Barry. It's not as impressive. It's just like, fucking hell, mate. Let the guy have his plaudit for the most appearances.
59:11Theo:654 appearances
59:12Reev:and he's still getting dragged down. It's such a British thing to do. It absolutely is. Someone does something amazing and just bring him down. It's more like he could have easily done the minutes. He's just chosen to play at top. He stayed at Liverpool. He could have went to a lower team and played more minutes, but he's played at the top teams and took his minutes where he can.
59:28Theo:He's also done it at the highest level for longer as well, hasn't he? No, because he's not going to play at both. He's not going to play at both sides. He was in bad city and Liverpool didn't he? Well he could have the best teams in the country I know but Barry where was he at towards the end of his career? They're live in City then Everton then West Brom Exactly so that's it it's everything that's it it's everything yeah
59:48Lewis Bowden:no I think it's wildly impressive I haven't seen anyone say that to be fair but if they are they're babbies Mate it's all over Twitter's pathetic
59:54Theo:I don't know who cares yeah it's tall poppy syndrome isn't it but it's just so impressive people try and bring
1:00:00Reev:other people down how many years has it been 23, 24 years
1:00:03Lewis Bowden:do you know how old he was when he broke in. 16 at the end. I remember when he broke in. I genuinely remember when he broke in. They had that White and Mackay kit. You remember James Miller's debut at Leeds? Yes. On my mum's life, I remember watching it. I remember it in there. It weren't match today at the time of the year. It was the premiership.
1:00:21Theo:They had the White and Mackay like the little thin pin strikes. Yeah, they went down that year, didn't they? It was the year after they went down. The year after they went down because it was 2003. It was the dream, yeah.
1:00:29Reev:So it was 24 years. Actually deep that for a second, right? Imagine when you start playing football at 16 and you're still playing professional football at 40. Well, he said he's... In every season. He's incredible, man. In the same league. Well, he's played against Clive Vert and he played with his dad at Newcastle. Clive Vert. Clive Vert. Clive Vert. But, like, to stay that fit, like, it's not even just a footballer, like, a professional athlete,
1:00:51Lewis Bowden:he's never had a serious injury, has he? Off the top of my head. Has Milner ever had a serious injury?
1:00:57Reev:Stop it on James Milner.
1:00:58Lewis Bowden:Look there, look, Wyatt and Mackay, look, there it is. How long do you think he goes for? Actually he might have made Was it the year It was Strongbow I think it was Strongbow When he made his debut I think they went down
1:01:08Theo:With Martin McKay That was it
1:01:10Reev:Yeah yeah yeah The robustness of him He's an unbelievable athlete How you say
1:01:15Theo:That fit for that long Is beyond me And apparently He's genuinely vital To every single dressing room That he's ever been in Because he's the one That controls the fine system
1:01:23Reev:But you don't see him You don't You don't see him I don't see him He's going to play next year
1:01:28Theo:That blue That blue leads Kit Strongman What do you say You reckon he's going to play next year
1:01:31Lewis Bowden:who's the oldest player to play in the Prem Al Field Sheringham isn't it I think so yeah 44 he was 40 have you seen that
1:01:40Reev:you know that Japanese player who's like he's about to 55, 56 yeah just reassigned this year right that was the Premier League review guys it'll be interesting to hear from certain clubs we've sort of gone in depth on today from the fans of those clubs I am excited for this one because guys we discussed it earlier what team might go down, but we're going to look back at the teams that have been too good to go down. And by have, I mean, they were not too good to go down because they did go down. No, but some players in that... Individual players should be considered... Were too good to go down.
1:02:15A lot of big players have gone down. I feel like my list here is going to be so bad because, like, I feel like this is a memory thing. You know what I mean? Why don't you just look at teams that are relegated? No, because it's like... No, you're never going to be able to look at all the teams. You're allowed to reference the internet. Yeah, no, but you're like... I did a lot of research into this. I feel like Tom will be able to pick out the star players from relegations.
1:02:34Reev:I would like to go first because I feel like you may have gone down a different route for this. So we're going to be doing our best Premier League XI to get relegated. I'm going to kick things off, guys, if you don't mind. When has that ever changed? What if we did mind? I don't know about you. Mine's basically a team of like three teams. Almost. Like three or four teams. I'm not looking forward to seeing mine. I've got five, I think. Yeah, I might have a bit more than that, but YOLO. In goal, I've gone for David James. He got relegated 0-2, 0-3 season with West Ham, along with a lot of players in that team that were, at the time, too good to go down.
1:03:14Reev:But they weren't. They're always the reference point now, aren't they?
1:03:17Lewis Bowden:They've had the most points ever. Was it 42 points?
1:03:19Reev:Because it was always at the magic 40, don't get relegated, except for any West Ham in 0-2, 0-3. Glenn Johnson at right back, West Ham. And then I've gone centre-halves. I've gone for Johnny Evans in the Leicester team 22-23 West Brom team actually He also got relegated with Leicester as well He got relegated with us
1:03:35Lewis Bowden:in 2017-18 So he's been relegated twice Might have been relegated more I can't remember Wow Did he go down with Sunderland as well when he was on loan? I can't remember Oh my god The relegated
1:03:45Reev:No he's classer But he's a good centre-back He's a very good centre-back Partnered in with Michael Dawson Hull relegated in 14-15 And then for a bit of chemistry on the left You're bleeding quite a lot You alright? I think I've scratched the sport Carry on Left back I've got Andy Robertson Yeah Yeah Please stop the tapping You're also tapping the Y It's not my fault I beg you Look at where my feet are There's nowhere for them to go A bit of chemistry With Dawson and Robertson as well Midfield three Can I ask you a question
1:04:11Theo:Why have you not put The whole Maguire in there Oh well I mean you've Yeah you're leaking You're leaking knowledge here bro You know Will
1:04:22Lewis Bowden:I just didn't
1:04:23Reev:Didn't realise
1:04:25Lewis Bowden:Same team as Robertson Sorry mate
1:04:27Reev:Yeah, I sent it
1:04:27Lewis Bowden:Sorry I thought you did Rally's research into it
1:04:30Reev:I did, but I didn't see Maguire on the team sheet Which is kind of weird Midfield Well, Michael Dawson's still Very good centre-half anyway Was he? Michael Dawson was, yeah Spurs And Johnny Evans The Evans was class Yeah Midfield three I really like this midfield three Got Roy Keane Obviously Got his move to Man United When they got relegated Telemans In the Leicester team That went down in 22-23 Oh, good pick And then I got James Madison In the same team As well, in the 10 I thought it was a good balance on midfield there good thinking yeah thank you I couldn't remember he hasn't finished front three front three I was undecided between two strikes I think we've all gone from the way right wing I've got De Canio 0-2-0-3 what why is that funny he won a wing no I know he wasn't but he played out on the right sometimes I just fit him in he was like an attacking midfield he did play out the wing as well I don't think we can question where you put
1:05:24Theo:players in the De Canio did play on the right
1:05:25Reev:I googled it to double check. On the left, I have got Joe Cole in the same team that went down with Di Canio. And then up front, I've gone for Jamie Vardy over another J-Dog. I've got a different place to you. I've got a completely different team. I think it's quite a good balance of a team. But it is mainly that West Ham and Leicester team. I left Vardy because he was just so past it. No, I know, but I've looked at their whole... You did it at the point of their got relegate.
1:05:53Lewis Bowden:Kind of. Rather than... I just think he was so past it when they went down. He was just dead.
1:05:59Reev:But then he's gone to Italy and it's done all right as well. But I looked at more of their career as a whole. Yeah, yeah, yeah. As a whole. City that got relegated in 2014-15. Yeah, good. Well, quite a good team, that. I don't mind that, but mine's better than yours. Don't look at my list. In goal, I might have forgotten some West Ham players here, I've realised. I've got Ramsdale, though. The relegator Yeah well If we're talking about Experience in this team
1:06:28Theo:Yeah the fourth Third or fourth relegation There's another goalie You could have gone for as well Another West Ham keeper Well hold your horses on that Because someone might have it I couldn't think of a right back At all Who did you have right back Glenn Johnson Yeah yours is better than mine I have Daryl Janma Oh my god I couldn't find a right back I couldn't think of a right back Glenn Johnson got a big move
1:06:49Lewis Bowden:For Chelsea when they went down Was it Yeah well that's definitely better than Yanmar because Yanmar, I was looking at him like, he isn't the best right back to ever get relegated because he's shit. She could have put James Justin over that. In centre-backs, I've got Southgate and Colicini. I knew you'd mention Colicini. Colicini was a fucking player, man. Southgate could have a move? Palace. Really? What year? 1990.
1:07:13Reev:You told us... Hang on a minute, hang on a minute. You told us before this, you've done this on your memory. Yeah, I have. I know Southgate got relegated with Colic. I didn't actually say I did my memory. I did it mostly in my memory No Shut up
1:07:24Theo:He did get relegated In 1994 1995 With which team? Palace Thank you very much Off the memory though Yeah We've got Robertson left back I went Because my team's a bit more like classical I went 4-4 fucking too Okay So In centre mid we got Wijnaldum Yes Yeah Proud of that one Broke me heart With Roy Keane Wasn't he your top goal scorer for that season? Yeah He was fucking classy He's better than Wijnaldum, isn't he? No, not the season. He went down. Not a chance. I know you've got the Liverpool move to Liverpool. I've put them in the same sort of bracket. Wijnaldum had like 12 goals for us when he went down.
1:08:01He scored five in a row.
1:08:03Theo:He cooked in Liverpool. It was unbelievable with us. And he's a really nice guy and has a beautiful smile. What the hell? Right wing or left wing? So my wingers are Shaqiri and Bellamy.
1:08:16Lewis Bowden:Beast mode. What Bellamy with Coventry is that? Yeah, obviously.
1:08:21Reev:What year? What year? Did he play that much? Enough to do it. Over De Cano and Joe Carl. Yeah, honestly, I did not look at this West Ham team. Did you not look at the West Ham team? It's not the most famous team to get relegated.
1:08:34Theo:Greg Bellamy got six goals this season that got relegated in 34. Great player as well.
1:08:39Lewis Bowden:There was a genuine question. I didn't know if he played that much for them. I know he played for them. I think I know you're front two. Up top, I want to say I could have put in Ivan Toney technically, but I didn't. He was part of Newcastle. I was in your squad. I don't know. He only played twice for us in four years. I wouldn't have allowed that. Yeah, that would have been bullshit. But I've got Viduka, because we're doing a classic 4-4-2. And although this player is absolutely shit, technically other people will think he's good. Michael Owen, who single-handedly got us relegated because he refused to play because he's a little dickhead.
1:09:09So he has to be in this team. He's a nice family career, yeah. Yeah, he has to be in this team because he refused to play, which got us relegated. So thank you, Michael. Hope you enjoyed your move.
1:09:16Theo:So actually blamed for and... Yeah. So he needs to be in the relegation 11 because he's the reason for it. Actually, I should have put Damien Duff in for that as well. Alan Smith was in your squad as well, wasn't he? Yeah. He went down with Leeds as well. Could he keep up?
1:09:31Reev:Papacise went down in 1516. I was looking at Papacise. There's two more teams to go, yeah. I wanted to slander Michael Lewis.
1:09:38Theo:A different goalkeeper, I got him with Julius Caesar at Kupior. No, but he's based off his career. I know, but he was crap at Kupior. Yeah, but you've done it a different methodology to mine. You've done it on when they were relegated. It's quite funny to think that Cesar was at QPR. Yeah, yeah.
1:09:53Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but I could put fucking Daniel Sturridge in because he went on loan to us. I dare you then. Do it then.
1:09:58Reev:It's just a bit silly, isn't it? Also, he wouldn't get in over like Vardy or Defoe or...
1:10:02Lewis Bowden:Varduka. Or Defoe, wouldn't he?
1:10:05Reev:He's P. You ever hate Defoe, don't you?
1:10:07Lewis Bowden:No, he probably wouldn't be fair. I'm talking shit. Defoe's shit.
1:10:09Reev:Top 10 goalscorer of all time in the Premier League.
1:10:13Lewis Bowden:Okay.
1:10:16Theo:Sorry, defensive back three. I've got Harry Maguire Defensive back three Just a back three Yeah yeah yeah Sorry Harry Maguire As Will mentioned From the whole Relegation Jagielka At Sheffield United Good shout Really good shout I included I shoehorned in Robertson Because I couldn't really find him At centre back Left centre back Robertson What the fuck's going on here I mean you've done it with Di Canio Di Canio did play out wide though What's up What's up in here I don't think Robertson's ever played Yeah yeah that's the only one That I've not really You're going to have to either play different formation he could fill in a left centre back if I'd said that bloody hell he's not Robertson's never played as part of a three in the back in his entire life mentioned names already because of North football so who's your left back if you've not got Robertson left back I haven't got left back it's three at the back we shouldn't put a left back into the team he's playing him left side of the three no no no Joe Cole Roy Keane previously mentioned Wijnaldum as well and then James Milner and Michael Carrick completing my midfield
1:11:12Reev:who did Milner get relegated with Leeds Leeds part of the team
1:11:15Theo:and now he's got the all-time appearance record, mate. I think that's pretty good. Are you playing on the right? Joe Callen, then Wynaldem on the left. You may as well play Milner as the old school young winger. Wynaldem left wing? Left mid. He's played there before. Nah, you put Joe Callen on the left and put Milner out on the right. I'll do that then. I'll do that then. And then up front, I've got Jamie Vardy and Viduka. Nice. 3-5-2, mate. A lot of players' opposition. That was fucking fantastic. How am I doing, Milner?
1:11:41Reev:A defensive back line. Defensive three.
1:11:46Lewis Bowden:I went with David James even though two first names
1:11:49Reev:okay so we've all got what about Fabianski got relegated with Swansea didn't he no fuck him
1:11:55Lewis Bowden:I mean yeah I went with Glenn Johnson and Robertson full backs and I went with Evans and McCauley my centre halves there's a lot of other centre backs who are better than McCauley I don't think so Michael Dawson I think McCauley was better than Dawson McGuire Colicini maybe McGuire yeah Colicini I think McCauley was better for us then Colginey was for you. Colginey's the fucking governor, man. Yeah, because you're biased, aren't you? Oh, yeah. Well, clearly, yeah. But on my field, I've gone Carrick. Yeah. I've gone with, like, a diamond. Carrick, Scott Parker. I can't believe no one's been... He won Player of the Year.
1:12:31Reev:He won Player of the Year. He got writers, didn't he? Fucking mental. How the hell did he win that, by the way? It was mad.
1:12:35Lewis Bowden:Because he was insane that season. If it weren't for him, they would have been like...
1:12:42Reev:Scott Parker, friend of the show. No, no. I remember it well. Yeah, I just... You don't, that's a couple of memorable things.
1:12:46Theo:No, no, you giggling going, no, no, I remember.
1:12:49Reev:I brought it up. What? I brought up that he won Player of the Year. Yeah, I mean, people, I knew this.
1:12:56Theo:You didn't see it. He said it. I mean, I've seen that on the internet when researching it. Also, I said it.
1:13:03Reev:I can't, like.
1:13:06Theo:For once, I remember something, he's like, oh, yeah. No, he remembered it. No, I just find it funnier. You have to chime in and go, yeah, I remember it. I'm sorry, am I going mental? Or was it not Tom who remembered it? No, he said Scott Parker.
1:13:15Reev:I said, yeah, he won player of the year.
1:13:17Lewis Bowden:I think that was me. I don't think it matters. That's why he's in. Yeah, I went Carrick Parker, Roy Keane, Joe Cole. And then I went with Voduka. And I went with Charlie Austin up from 18 goals. He scored. Charlie Austin, man. 18 goals for a relegated team. To me, it's mental.
1:13:34Theo:Didn't Andy Johnson get a Lord at Palace as well? Do you remember that?
1:13:37Lewis Bowden:Yeah, that was... They were like... He scored like 10 penalties.
1:13:41Reev:But if you look at the career-wise, so you got up front. so Austin partnered with who? Viduka. Viduka. Viduka's the boy. Crouch.
1:13:48Lewis Bowden:I've gone with players like... As they got relegated. As they got relegated. The year they got relegated. Do you know what I mean?
1:13:54Theo:Is there an argument for Grealish?
1:13:56Reev:Yeah.
1:13:56Lewis Bowden:Yeah. Class.
1:13:58Reev:Carrick, you mentioned Carrick. Crouch went down with Stoke in 17-18. Crouchy. Obviously Defoe. There's a lot of good strikers in that. Janinho. Janinho.
1:14:08Lewis Bowden:Yeah. I only put Keane in just because I know what he went on to become. I know Janinho is class but he's just way before my time he's got a free kick so many
1:14:18Reev:that's the wrong one I know it's the joke
1:14:21Lewis Bowden:so
1:14:23Theo:looking at the current teams now
1:14:24Lewis Bowden:I can't stop laughing
1:14:26Theo:which players do you think have got a chance from being in there I've got a couple of suggestions Gibbs White
1:14:30Reev:Mickey Van Der Ven he's going to leave Spurs this summer 100 % yeah Van Der Ven and Romero probably Van Der Ven might go Real Madrid I'm not even joking
1:14:37Lewis Bowden:him and Hoyssen at the back Hoyssen's not been that good though has he this year for them apparently really? They've not been happy with him.
1:14:43Theo:I mean, Pedro Porro.
1:14:44Lewis Bowden:I was listening to that at Face All the other day. He was slagging him off.
1:14:48Reev:Bloody nor. I thought he had a good start. He had a good start, though, I think.
1:14:52Lewis Bowden:Fuck no, I don't watch him, mate, other than the Champions League. And then out of all of them... Elliot Anderson as well, actually. Elliot Anderson's brilliant. Yeah, but would you put him above Scott Parker, mate? I don't know. Not yet. If you're being with a shout...
1:15:05Theo:It's not on singular seasons.
1:15:06Lewis Bowden:I think that's been like Carrick Parker, Roy Keane. That's hard. I hope they get relegated just so we can try and get Anderson again. I think he'd go to a good club. He'll come back to us. He'd choose us. Do you honestly believe that? Jordi Maradona. He's on finished business. He was forced out. Of course he was.
1:15:25Theo:He's not too far away from calling the team of the year thing. Out of all those players, who are your top three to get relegated ever? Roy Keane. Depends how you view it.
1:15:33Reev:I think you look at the career. It's subjective, isn't it?
1:15:35Lewis Bowden:No, I don't think you do career because it's at the time of relegation. That's why I think it's so stupid putting Vardy in personally. because Vardy wasn't too good to go down when they went down.
1:15:47Reev:If you look at the single season, would you say Scott Parker? I honestly think it could be Parker. Player of the year. But where are you? Wijnaldum? Yeah, Wijnaldum's a good one. Wijnaldum went on and just won the league. I don't really remember that. Can you search for Wijnaldum stats when he got relegated? Bear in mind, he's in a fucking shit team. Yeah, they're all shit.
1:16:05Lewis Bowden:That's why they get relegated. But this guy was unbelievable. He was in a great team, man. We finished 19th. and then he went and just won the league straight away same player just went over yeah so it came in 11 goals from that position as well with that Newcastle team very good yeah he was class
1:16:20Theo:that's impressive that he's top goal scorer yeah he was it was one season with him and instantly taken off us crazy fuck
1:16:26Reev:what about one of the West Ham players 0-2-0-3 one of the West Ham players from 0-2-0-3 Freddie Canoe
1:16:31Lewis Bowden:I was in with a shout as well but De Cano he's put De Cano in De Cano did De Cano I can't remember him playing that much that year when they went down. I'm sure he was...
1:16:42Reev:I've been West Ham 0-2-0-3. Because I know he... He'll bring up the minutes list and stuff.
1:16:44Lewis Bowden:I know he went to Charlton the year after, I'm sure. 0-2-0-3. He'll bring up... Yeah, there you go.
1:16:52Theo:Yeah, I remember him at Charlton.
1:16:53Reev:They did squad. Squad on the left and side. That was weird, that one, didn't he? He was all right at Charlton, I feel like. I think he scored on the left and side.
1:16:58Lewis Bowden:I just don't remember... Scroll down, it'll show the minutes. Trevor Sinclair, man.
1:17:03Reev:De Cano.
1:17:04Lewis Bowden:Scored nine goals.
1:17:04Reev:Yeah, De Cano was second top goal scorer that season.
1:17:06Theo:I mean, I know we only mentioned him in passing, but even like Grealish in...
1:17:09Lewis Bowden:19 games, 9 goals. He played 19 games.
1:17:12Reev:9 goal a game, innit?
1:17:13Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but Canute only played 17. 5 goals. Les Ferdinand. Also, do you want to know something weird? Joe Coles, captain that year. Did you know that? What? How old was he? I was looking through the list earlier, and unless it was a mistake, it said next to him, captain. And I was like, is that right? Yeah, look. Yeah, it is captain. but I always thought Repka was the captain how old was Joe Cole young
1:17:39Theo:when he went
1:17:41Lewis Bowden:Chelsea didn't he
1:17:42Theo:so could he could he be the best young yeah yeah yeah who he has a shell
1:17:46Lewis Bowden:nah you wouldn't put him above like fucking Roy Keane well
1:17:51Reev:Roy Keane got his move to Man United off that relegation well he got his move to Chelsea yeah very true but Roy Keane went on to be Roy Keane Lee Boyer yeah I agree do you reckon
1:18:01Theo:any of the teams who get relegate please to get relegate now except for Van der Ven maybe get a big move Bowen does Bowen go to a top 6 club this is if we're presuming Spurs go down does Gibbs White go to a top 6 club
1:18:13Reev:I can 100 % I'd genuinely see Bowen could go to Liverpool can we get Bowen please they can have a longer
1:18:18Lewis Bowden:there's no way in hell Jared Bowen will not go to Liverpool why we've done this we've done this we've been over this there's a certain level man there's a certain level but I think he is that level
1:18:30Reev:and I think he's also So if they really needed him to, not only would he do a job on that right side to replace a Salah, he could go up front if they needed. He could play off the left if he needed. Like he's a versatile forward.
1:18:41Lewis Bowden:He's a versatile forward for a certain level, yeah. But you're saying he couldn't be a squad player at Liverpool? Yeah, but that's not what they need. How much could you get him for? That's not what they need though. You're saying he needs to replace Salah?
1:18:55Reev:Well, I think he's that good. I'm a big Bowen fan. I think he's that good. But how's it going now? Yeah, but I'm saying, even if West Ham's set up, I can see him. I would just think he sells... I know he's only just been bought.
1:19:07Lewis Bowden:Bowen. 50 mil? How old is he? I want Bowen. 26, 27? I want him badly. Badly, badly. I think, yeah, he suits like Newcastle. He's 29.
1:19:17Theo:Turned 29 in December. What we should do is let Jacob Murphy leave, as much as love him. As long as he can be depth and start Bowen. I could see that. I could see him going to Newcastle. I know, but we don't do that. Aston Villa will go sign and we only go for fucking young players. and blue again. So stupid. That's the Villa of all the good ones. Villa against the Wilson.
1:19:35Lewis Bowden:I know I want him as well. I think that's his level like Newcastle or Villa. I agree.
1:19:38Reev:Champions League?
1:19:40Lewis Bowden:I mean it would be
1:19:41Reev:wouldn't it if it was Villa.
1:19:42Lewis Bowden:I don't think he'd leave for Everton.
1:19:45Reev:Let us know your 11 in the comments down below. Now hello chaps. Hi. But Kai Saka's just got a new £300 plus £1 ,000 a week deal. Yeah. That would be cool to get one time. Just one time. Just one time. One week. It's one time.
1:20:02Theo:What would you do to sign a one-week 300 grand deal? I'm sucking it. What would they offer? Anything. Yeah, really? I don't think. Okay, here's a question for you.
1:20:11Lewis Bowden:Would you stand in the middle of the Emirates pitch? You're playing Man United. No, you're playing in the League Cup final against Man City. Oh, God. At Wembley. The ref blows the whistle at 20 minutes. You get walked onto the pitch with a lead. You're like a little dog. They lead you on. and you have to shook off Arsene Wenger in front of the whole stadium on the telly for 300 grand. For 300 grand. But you just get a one-time payment. You're doing it. No.
1:20:36Theo:But surely that...
1:20:37Lewis Bowden:I couldn't do that to Arsene. 3 million. Just bowls in the bowl.
1:20:39Theo:I couldn't do it to Arsene. Why are you disappointed?
1:20:41Lewis Bowden:Oh, 30 million. You get 30 million pounds.
1:20:43Theo:Yeah, I'm doing it.
1:20:45Lewis Bowden:Yeah? Live on telly as well. Yeah, I'll do it. You know you're on telly.
1:20:49Reev:Anyways, guys, that's a great... That's a great... The guy that sucked off Arsene Wenger. Yeah. We're going to be ranking our top 10 current Premier League wingers. Yay! My list is going to be good. Oh,
1:21:04Lewis Bowden:come on, bro. When I did this, I just realised there's just a distinct lack of top wingers. That's what I mean. So it's like, I'm looking at the names, I'm like, these can't be top ten. And also, they just are. I was in the mid, I was between doing it on ability, on form. Me too. Mine's a bit of a mess. I'm going to go first.
1:21:18Reev:I did like a, have we all agreed we've sort of done a mix of everything? No. I've just tried to, I just think at the minute
1:21:25Lewis Bowden:Who do I think are the top 10 in the league?
1:21:27Theo:What do you mean by a mix of everything, Theo? Like, for example, if you went on pure current,
1:21:33Reev:you're not having Salah in the top five, are you? No. Let's be honest. You're not. Yeah, but Salah is just way past his best, isn't he? No, I know, but is he still a good winger? We'll find out. We'll find out.
1:21:43Theo:We'll find out. We'll find out. We'll find out.
1:21:48Lewis Bowden:Right, in 10th, it might be early, but I'm putting him in because I think he's amazing. and I think in a year's time he'll probably be in the top five. I've gone with Rayan at Bournemouth. Oh. What? I think he's incredible. No, we're not talking about
1:22:03Reev:in five years' time.
1:22:04Lewis Bowden:No, I think he's right now, the 10th best. I think he's going to be like top five. Oh. I think he's that good. If he scored that goal
1:22:12Theo:against West Ham as well.
1:22:13Lewis Bowden:Sometimes you see a player, you see the ability and think that is incredible. Is Mudrick still in your... He's not a footballer anymore. He is. He's coming back. He's suspended. Exactly That's another one I got it wrong Sometimes you get it wrong Yeah I think he's class Ninth I've got Gakpo Eighth I've got Gordon I haven't put any of these In my list I can't believe By the way I can't believe Gordon I still think Gordon Gakpo How are you laughing Are you laughing at Gordon Or Gakpo
1:22:42Theo:No he's laughing at just the names
1:22:44Lewis Bowden:Gakpo Gakpo starts for Liverpool I didn't know you're ill But I didn't know you were like Mentally ill Gakpo Again at the start of the season Gakpo would have been in most people's like top five. I'm really interested to see who's in your list. Seventh, I've gone Enjoy. Sixth, and this is low, but the ones above him, I just couldn't not put him. I've gone Estevez sixth, but I wanted him higher.
1:23:08Reev:Yeah, he, I know what you mean. I didn't know where to put him because he's not had as much game time. I'm going to say,
1:23:14Lewis Bowden:he's calling me crazy, guys. I think ability-wise, he's the best on this list. I agree, I don't disagree. Fifth, the only reason he's fifth is because he's not an out-and-out winger. I've gone Cherokee He's not a winger He does play wide
1:23:26Reev:He's not a winger
1:23:27Lewis Bowden:But he does play wide
1:23:28Reev:I know but you know what I mean though
1:23:30Lewis Bowden:That's why he's fifth Okay
1:23:32Reev:I've not included him
1:23:33Theo:I'm not included him
1:23:34Reev:Oh right well I have
1:23:35Lewis Bowden:Fourth I've gone Doku Yeah Third Semenyo Second I've gone Saka And I know he First I've gone Bremo I know he's not an out and out winger But I just think he's the best
1:23:45Reev:He's not a winger He is a winger He is a winger He's not a winger Bremo's not a winger He's a winger
1:23:50Lewis Bowden:He is When you put him on the wing I don't count him as It's a forward Which is a winger A striker's a forward No he does play centrally sometimes He's more of a striker Gordon's playing striker at the minute but he's a winger And Bremo by trade is a winger You've missed out quite a few names
1:24:05Theo:Yeah my list is so fucking different Yeah I've gone for wingers Should I go next then because mine's quite similar to Sorry I've got my fallback Go on then Lou you go next I think that's a fucking shit Right 10th I've got Barnes Thank you very much 9th I've got Gakpaw Eighth I've got Somerville Oh yeah He was close Thank you Seventh Harry Wilson Yeah Sixth Trossard Oh yeah Trossard's Been one of the best Wingers this season By the way Trust me I can't stand Trossard Yeah yes But this is a mixture Of me forgetting People's names And just like There's no other Good wingers Trossard deserves To be top ten What I want to say Is he's completely To blame for Use drone of walls So hold that Fifth It's Gordon He's not playing At his best but he's still very good.
1:24:52Fourth, Doku. Third, Saka. Second, Mbwemo. First, Semenyo. Interesting. I've got a few names. Was Salah not in there? Salah is not in there because he is absolute poo-poo. I didn't put Salah in there. He's fucking shit.
1:25:08Lewis Bowden:Yeah, it is. I have. I think it's... I do think it's harsh not having Saka in your top two.
1:25:13Reev:Do you though? Who was your top two, sorry?
1:25:15Lewis Bowden:He hasn't been great this season, but... But this is the thing. I was trying to do a mixture of it. He's been doing it for like seven years. Six years. I've put above him
1:25:21Reev:in the last five seasons Saka is fourth on goals and assists
1:25:27Lewis Bowden:I don't know but how many players have also been in the league as long as him played as much so that's a bit of a Fugazi stat Fugazi who do you think's been more impactful this season out of those three if you had to rank those three I'll impact that's what I mean so like well if you're just ranking on this season fair enough it's just there's only so much like we're quite far into this season now so it's not like we're making this list five ten games in like we're quite substantially through you would hope that he would have had especially in a season where they're leading the league you'd hope that he'd be he's been injured though he's back out on the right
1:25:55Reev:he looked way better against Spurs yeah he did look good actually
1:25:58Theo:you can get back up there go on Reeve 10 Illiman and Joy I've got Salah in at 9th obviously I've seen the decline but he is when he's on it he's still top 10 isn't he I agree with you 8th Harry Wilson 7th Jarrod Bowen 6th Docky shit
1:26:13Lewis Bowden:I forgot Jarrod Bowen alright that's fucking did you not have him no You don't think he's top 10? You don't have him as a top 10 winger? Yeah, you can't. I just did it out being an idiot. But how have you remembered some of them? Yeah, that makes no sense, doesn't it? But what you've chosen to have him. Yeah. Why? I think he's good, but I'd rather have the players in my list. You had Ryan over Bowen. Yeah, I love him. Who do you have? I'm investing early.
1:26:40Reev:He's played like four games. Who do you have like ninth? What Bowen's done his entire career? You think Dakar was better than Bowen? Yeah. I think that's a man that's brutal that's fucking mental it's fucking nasty actually you want them to sell him I think that might be I think that's actually top five worst things said on pitch side the other nine will buy him as well I know
1:26:58Theo:I can't believe you remembered some of it if it's top five
1:27:01Reev:play for the same team some of it's been a rich reign of form recently though
1:27:05Theo:yeah but okay yeah
1:27:06Reev:a rich reign of form
1:27:07Theo:I was thinking that was it fifth is a contentious one because we always discuss it but he's not he's a winger but he's not a winger it's like Mateus Cunha like he's a left-sided I think I'm in Bwemo is more of a winger than what he I don't think
1:27:22Reev:either are a winger no
1:27:24Lewis Bowden:I think they are you know like Cunha's not really a winger like a winger
1:27:27Reev:even Bwemo's not a winger
1:27:29Lewis Bowden:Bwemo has been he's a forward yeah but you know what I'm saying but he's like a wide forward
1:27:35Reev:he's been playing number nine mostly recently yeah only to fill him but what would you yeah Gordon's still a winger like
1:27:41Theo:I don't know it's like icky seems a bit harsh I'm not saying this because number four, I have Saka. I just think there are three at the moment. What? Oh my God, you have them lower than me. Yeah. I've got Saka four. Yeah. What the fuck? Three, I've got Cherky.
1:27:54Reev:You said you wanted to sell Saka as well. Sorry, hang about, hang about. Cherky, brilliant footballer. We're talking, we're doing a top 10 wingers. Wingers. You think Cherky as an out-and-out winger, Cherky as an out-and-out winger is better than Saka as a winger. When he's deployed on the right, yeah, for this season. Are you fucking, are you mental? Do you think Saka's world class? Reeve? As an out and out winger You think Cherky's world class?
1:28:19Theo:Early bit, yeah I don't think that's outright
1:28:22Reev:No, I think it's We're talking wingers Not like forwards Do you think Cherky's a better winger than Saka? Yeah, but Theo, you can't say it's because
1:28:31Lewis Bowden:Modern wingers aren't No, but I think that Talk on your boots Look at Salah Salah's not an out and out winger He's basically like a right forward
1:28:39Reev:I'm a big Cherky fan
1:28:41Lewis Bowden:He does play wide though I don't know what Better than Saka I don't agree with him. I don't agree with that. You can't not count
1:28:48Theo:Cherky as a winger. We've done it. We've done it current, right? What are you wrong? And the only example that we have of Cherky this season. He's going to win you the cup. Yeah. I've tried to be as unbiased as possible in this one. He watches this. You said you wanted to sell him on stream yesterday. No, out of the four I would have.
1:29:06Reev:You talk about current. He fucking gets benched every game. He comes on for 20 minutes.
1:29:11Theo:He's still just as impactful. Yeah, but that's I don't understand the argument there. I can still say that it only takes 30 minutes against
1:29:18Reev:Newcastle, no goals or assist. 90 minutes against Salford, no goals or assist. 19 minutes against Fulham, no goals or assist. It only takes 20 minutes to be more impactful than Saka. 18 minutes against Newcastle, no goals or assist. And then he scored against Spurs when he started.
1:29:31Theo:Yeah, I mean, we can... If you talk about
1:29:33Reev:current, you're wrong again. I don't think that's true. Well, I just told you the facts. Right. 2M by my and 1S. Continues.
1:29:43Lewis Bowden:I just ignored him He actually just Mogged you by Not even respecting you With an answer
1:29:48Reev:I just hit you With some facts And you said I don't think that's true Yeah but you just Read out stats Yeah but you said You're going on current Saka's stats have been terrible In fairness
1:29:56Theo:Saka's got one goal Since December In the Premier League Yeah Well since the 3rd of December If you're doing current
1:30:02Reev:He's playing better I don't know
1:30:04Lewis Bowden:What is current then Can I ask what is current We've had this debate For three years Apparently Apparently Apparently current He's just lost The last six games
1:30:12Reev:No, but I'm saying he's done it on current. What is current to you?
1:30:16Lewis Bowden:What's current to you?
1:30:17Theo:I don't know. That was the decision of the segment.
1:30:22Lewis Bowden:So because he had a good game yesterday and Shirky didn't start, currently Saka's better. Who's a better winger? I think Saka's better, but I'm not basing it on this season. I'm basing it on everything.
1:30:31Reev:That's what I'm doing as well.
1:30:31Lewis Bowden:I'm basing it on the body work from the last five, six years. That's what I'm doing. You've just said current.
1:30:36Theo:No, I'm saying he said that. I'm so confused. Because that's what it implies. That's why you've not put Salah in. even though we should universally agree he's probably the best winger in the Premier League I've got salary on my list what? no but I'm talking specifically about this season and I think Cherki's had a better season than Bakayosaka oh my god so we fucked is that a disagreement or not but what happens if he wins the quad then? it's at this moment in time I only have to do it off this current moment in time do you know what
1:31:03Reev:I've done it on out and out wingers as well like I just thought a wing you know what a winger is like I don't really class Kunio's and Bermos a winger That's what I've done it on as well I don't see Cherky a winger? Yeah because he plays out wide The same as Semenyu was a winger
1:31:21Lewis Bowden:Semenyu and Cherky play a similar role What you're saying is You think a winger is only One who gets wide and beats a man one on one That's not what a winger is though
1:31:32Theo:Let's compare the stats
1:31:33Lewis Bowden:Just because Doku is your style Of traditional winger Doesn't mean Cherky's not a winger No, I know what you're saying.
1:31:40Reev:They both play wide. I hate what you're saying. I just have a different interpretation of it.
1:31:46Lewis Bowden:Well, you're an idiot then. At least I don't think fucking Cherky's better than Saka. I don't think that, but I think currently he's at a better... Oh my God, see, I hate this. I just hate... Surely you just pick. So you think Saka's better than Cherky? Yeah, but currently... You should have him higher in the list. No, no, no, no, but that's not how this works. I also think Salah is better than a lot of these other players.
1:32:09Theo:So they should be higher? it's been
1:32:12Lewis Bowden:I don't think Salah is no longer better than these players so he's not even in it to be fair this just is top 10 Premier League wingers yeah so who do you think is better Salah or
1:32:21Theo:Saka or Saka Saka
1:32:24Lewis Bowden:so he should be high in my opinion
1:32:26Theo:but that's because of longevity and how consistency so yeah it's top 10 wingers but it was like it doesn't say current on the it was it was current but that's why I have like golden high because currently he's not there but like as a top 10 winger No, but this The current thing Has always wound me up though No, because Chucky is higher Because he's performing better Than Saka But he hasn't been I agree What?
1:32:47Lewis Bowden:When has he been performing better? He hasn't even been starting So what's current? This is why I get annoyed That's why I bought This is why I get annoyed When we do currently What, just the last four games? No It doesn't actually say Current on this That's why I based it on everything But before When we've done currently And then you're like Well, he scored last game So he's better Surely just I'll just do it on who's better
1:33:10Reev:that's what I've done it on this year as well
1:33:11Lewis Bowden:who's a better player who's a better winger and Ryan he's better than them all
1:33:17Reev:that's not true you put him in 10
1:33:18Lewis Bowden:do you not have Jared Bowen he's going to be the best player
1:33:20Theo:I was the only one that did in the league I was the only person that did have Jared Bowen
1:33:23Reev:who's your best winger do I have a habit of finding these players though
1:33:27Lewis Bowden:unbelievable scouting even Jimenez is quality as well oh yeah he's class he's really good it's up to you
1:33:32Reev:in 10 I got Martinelli I'm surprised no one didn't put him in but in terms of like what he's done as well I don't want to live in a world where he's in there He is good. He's not better than Ryan. Shiver me tempers. Maybe not going forward. He's actually not. In nine, Trostard, he's had a very good season. In eight, I'm surprised no one's included him. Ahmed Diallo. I know, but he's been playing wing back, hasn't he?
1:33:52Lewis Bowden:I know he is a winger. No, he's an out-and-out winger. He's not, though, because he's been playing wing back?
1:33:57Reev:No, not since Carrick.
1:33:58Lewis Bowden:Yeah, true, true, true.
1:34:00Reev:Seven, I've got Bowen. In six, I've got Salah, just because I agree with you, Tom. I think he's not the same I don't think you think Salah's better than Bowen in your heart of hearts I don't think you think I think you may be right but also I looked at what he's done what he's done as well I know I feel like
1:34:15Theo:we're arguing over different things I feel like that argument of what he's done that argument of what he's done works better with Saka because Saka's still in the prime age like Saka is at the back end now so like are you saying what he's he's not that same player where Saka Saka is that same player of what he's done but Saka isn't that because he's like an old man so it doesn't work Yeah, it would be like putting
1:34:37Lewis Bowden:Freddie Jumberg in this list. Yeah, because of what he's done. We're not...
1:34:41Reev:We're the underwear model. What a weird thing to bring up. Oh, is it what he did? In five, I've got Esteval. I'm such a big fan of this guy. I think he... Who's going to be... Here's one for you. You're like this. Who's going to have a better career? Esteval or Ryan? Probably Esteval.
1:34:55Lewis Bowden:Probably Esteval, but I think Ryan will soon be at one of the big clubs in Europe.
1:34:59Reev:Oh! Four. Big fan of him. Pedro Neto. Fuck off. What? I think he's really good. You've got Neto ahead of Estevelle. Yeah, in hindsight, I should have put him below Estevelle. But I think this season, he's had a better season, actually.
1:35:11Theo:Do you think Neto's better than Bowen?
1:35:13Reev:I do. Yeah. Yeah, he is.
1:35:15Theo:Well, you're a Bowen hater. I'm not a Bowen hater. I think Bowen's excellent.
1:35:19Reev:I'm surprised no one actually had Neto in their top 10. You said they should sell him in Jan. Yeah. Mental. I think Pedro Neto. I probably should have put Estevelle above Neto if I'm really being honest with myself. But I just look at what Neto's done this season. I think he's had a better season than Estevelle, but I think Estevelle's better. That's one or the other. I'm a really big fan of Pedro now. I think it's quality.
1:35:36Theo:I have a Cherokee argument, though.
1:35:38Reev:You have no argument with Cherokee, buddy. In three, I've got Doku. Two, I've got Saka. And first, I have got Semenya. I can't believe you put Semenya over Saka.
1:35:47Theo:But that just... That goes against everything. No, because I've told you at the start, I've faced a weird combination of everything. You can't be doing that, then, and then go against everything I just said. But how can you put Semenya over Saka?
1:35:58Reev:Because I told you I've culminated everything. I've looked at previous things, and I've looked at this season. What's previously?
1:36:03Lewis Bowden:This is the first top season he's ever had. Yeah.
1:36:06Reev:Top, top season. Yeah, and I think you look at him now. Saka's had five. Who's had more of an impact on the club at the moment? I'd say Semenya has. Yeah, in this season. Yeah, so therefore, that was my full argument
1:36:18Theo:for building the list. He always does this so we don't shout it in.
1:36:22Lewis Bowden:Have you noticed how he does that?
1:36:24Theo:Yeah, but my argument for building this list was consistent for picking each position. You said that. If I don't include Cherk
1:36:30Reev:as a winger, He wasn't your argument. But I think Semenya is the best winger. But that's his argument about Cherky. That's what I'm saying. That's his argument about Cherky. This season alone, I think the order of what I've chosen is accurate. But I don't think there's been such a vast contrast between Cherky and Saka than there has Semenya. I think Semenya has been out and out the best winger this season. Who's better, Semenya or Saka as a player? Who's a better player? Yeah, exactly. To you. Who's a better player? Because now you're stuck because if you see a Semenya, that means you're going against what you said to Eve.
1:36:58It's a lot closer than you think. But that's a true background.
1:37:01Theo:What an answer. No. I don't know how close he thinks it is. Answer the question before you say one thing.
1:37:08Reev:Come on, just say Semenya or Saka. I will say, one second, Lewis, let me talk. I said from the beginning I'm using a culmination of different things. You've said only current. Yes. That's the difference. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's why I've put Semenya in over Saka. But you had a go at me for that.
1:37:22Theo:You had a go at me for that.
1:37:23Lewis Bowden:But the only argument for Semenya over Saka is current. Yeah. That's the only evidence. So you're only using current in that argument because Saka... Yeah, that's what I've culminated things. If you look at Saka, the way you use stats of Cherky against him, Saka last season, 12 goals, 13 assists. Season before, 20 goals, 14 assists. Oh, I know! Season before, 15 goals, 11 assists. Season before that, 12 goals, 7 assists. Then Semenyo has had like one good season. Yeah, I know. For Bournemouth? And you also think Saka's better than Semenyo. I think that too.
1:37:55Theo:I can't put him away
1:37:56Reev:because Semenyo's quite clearly the best performing winger in this season. And I think that counts for a lot when it comes to this list as well. Can you understand when you see...
1:38:04Theo:You picked on me for the same thing. Can you understand
1:38:05Reev:when you're... You weren't mad at him for the same thing. That's all we're saying. Who's had a better season, Cherky or Semenyo? Semenyo. But I've put Semenyo above Cherky. Do you not see it to be contradicted where it's like one of the reasons... I'm only choosing him on this season. See, you're using five reasons to judge your list and he's using one. His one is still in your five reasons and yet you're shouting at him for it. I thought the second was. No, no, but you haven't
1:38:29Lewis Bowden:because the only argument for Semenyo to be above Saka would be his only argument. Yeah. That you criticised him for.
1:38:37Reev:No, I do see what you're saying.
1:38:39Theo:No, I know. Gun to your head. Who would you say has had a better season? Semenyo. Cherki or Saka in the Premier League this year? This season only,
1:38:48Reev:probably Cherki. That's exactly right. But I think it's a lot tighter than you're making out. I didn't know. I think it's tight. If you compare Semenyo to Saka... I don't know. You haven't got Anthony Gordon in. I've got Semenyo first. I think Semenyo's by far and away been the best performing winger this season.
1:39:05Lewis Bowden:I still think Saka's been better than Cherky this season.
1:39:08Reev:I don't think... I agree. In the Prem, Cherky's got three goals, seven assists. Saka, I think, has got, in the Prem alone, if we're talking about it, he's got... I think... Eight and five.
1:39:20Lewis Bowden:Cherky gets, like, the sexy, because he does the tricks and stuff. But I think... Saka has been injured. He hasn't been his best But his best His not best is still Exactly So I think that's harsh I think he's better than Chuk I do think Saka gets No I agree I think even this season I actually regret Not putting Saka first He should just be first really Like he should Nah I take it back Saka's top of my list No I'll do that I'm doing it No I'll do that What the fuck are you going to do really I think he's already up How are you going to stop it I don't know But I'll find the way No you fucking won't I will Well we'll find out won't we I'll bet you he's top of my list Alright hair boy What the hell because he does his hair.
1:39:56Reev:But do we... Try and do yours. I have. It looks nice. Do you understand my argument for the out-and-out wingers? No. No, because... I can't. I'm sorry. I will never... I understand. I can't call Cherki a winger. I can't do it. Well, that's fair, but it's... Can't call him Bremer or me either. Can't do it. All right. I'll never do it.
1:40:15Theo:Let's try and agree to a pitch side top three Premier League wingers.
1:40:21Lewis Bowden:Oh, I think it's got to be Saka top.
1:40:23Reev:Saka Semenudoku? What are we doing? Currently? Emblemo. Saka, Emblemo, Semenyo. Emblemo's not a winger. It's Semenyo, Emblemo, Saka. It's about the order. It's Saka. I'm willing to concede Saka going top as long as Emblemo and Semenyo's... Emblemo's not a winger.
1:40:37Theo:Yeah, I agree.
1:40:38Lewis Bowden:I got Saka, Emblemo, Semenyo. Emblemo's been doing it for, what, three, four years now? I personally feel like Semenyo should be top. He is a winger.
1:40:48Theo:He is a winger. He's been utilised in a different position. We are starting to overwrite Semenyo, yeah. That's like saying, well Saka's been
1:40:54Reev:playing in the 10 right? No it's not that he gets used no but the reason why even for Brentford he was like an inside forward that's like
1:41:03Lewis Bowden:Salah for Liverpool though I don't know he's primary position he's right winger he's a right winger by trade agree to disagree no there's no agreeing to disagree he's played most of his career right wing either next to
1:41:17Theo:Visser or Tony yeah fucking Visser do you think there's a chance basically I don't know if you saw Jason Cundey said he'd rather have Esteval than Saka
1:41:29Lewis Bowden:I agree I think Esteval I think Esteval is the best player on this list but he hasn't he hasn't done it yet has he you've got to do it consistently
1:41:37Theo:so next season
1:41:38Lewis Bowden:sorry he's got the most ability
1:41:39Theo:next season is he going to be a better player than Saka depends how much game time he gets right if he plays 38 games I mean Palmer's been used on the right
1:41:48Lewis Bowden:it's so hard to say he's also playing in a worse team Esteval I bet you start to say Palmerston. No, I'm not. I didn't. That's why I didn't include him. You don't know what levels Saka's going to reach
1:41:56Theo:next season. It's just... Yeah. It's kind of just like there's a level of consistency with Saka that you kind of get.
1:42:02Lewis Bowden:I'll answer you this. If I had to... If you put a gun to my head and said who's going to... Who would win a Ballon d 'Or I'd go Esteval. I agree. Because the Ballon d 'Or flair. No, I think he's better. He's got more ability than Saka, I think.
1:42:17Reev:But actually... Here's one for you, Tom. would you not say it is Saka because Arsenal have a shot at winning the way the format he's not your best player he could go on to
1:42:28Theo:if England win the World Cup and Arsenal get multiple trophies Rice would win it over Saka you're saying Arsenal have a shot of winning Lord's not the slant Arsenal but Chelsea are the winners out of the two we're talking about this season I'm also suggesting when it comes to a Ballon d 'Or when it comes to a Ballon d 'Or because they're obviously both English they're both at Arsenal the likelihood is it will be Declan Rice over Bukayo Saka
1:42:55Lewis Bowden:I wasn't talking about how many trophies they've been I was talking about that's exactly my point though because realistically Saka should be that main guy the one getting all the plaudits but it's not it's Rice I think Bukayo Saka right is the best basic winger ever he does everything if you were to like have like like a video game and you put all their stats up to like 80. That's Saka. He does everything basic to the best level. But he's never going to like... He's never going to do that shirky little... But I'll tell you what he will do. Shirky will drop three stinkers in a row. Saka will never do that.
1:43:38Lewis Bowden:He's an absolute guaranteed 7 out of 10 any most weeks. I think more than that.
1:43:42Reev:What I like about Saka is that he is... He's unpredictable now because not only can he go on the outside, you saw against Spurs, he was coming on the inside quite a lot inside the full-back. He's coming on the inside full-back. That's true. What I'm saying is the football terminology there.
1:44:00Lewis Bowden:Yeah.
1:44:00Reev:When he's allowed to do that, yeah, he does that.
1:44:03Lewis Bowden:So no, Saka's always been very good at being like a one-on-one. He can cut inside,
1:44:09Reev:or he can go to the byline. And I do also agree
1:44:11Lewis Bowden:with the fact that Saka does get doubled up on a lot. So he does restrict. That's not even sexual.
1:44:18Theo:double-dub. Yeah, it happened as first. But with...
1:44:22Lewis Bowden:He is just a very... He is quite a basic player, isn't he? I think that's what kind of goes against him.
1:44:27Theo:The question I was going to ask about Saka is when you... When you're putting your best Arsenal team out, how high up is he on the list? He's not the first team name on the team list. He's talking about all time?
1:44:39Reev:No, no.
1:44:39Theo:Now, when you're building an Arsenal team... Bird. You think he's third behind him? Third or fourth?
1:44:45Reev:Rice, Gabriel, Saka, Saliba, Raya.
1:44:48Theo:Yeah.
1:44:49Lewis Bowden:Would it not just be Roy Saka then you look at your defenders? Surely that's... No, the drop-off's too big, I think. No, but your front three is so bad with that.
1:44:57Theo:Yeah, maybe you're right there. I like the drop-off. You have depth in centre bar. He has. I know you don't like to admit it, but he has. What's this? Maduweki filling in has played all right. He was fucking shocked. Top 10 signings of the season. Yeah. There's definitely examples where he's not been great, but like... There's more examples of him
1:45:13Lewis Bowden:not being great than being good. Way more.
1:45:16Theo:Yeah, but we're talking about the difference between Gabriel and then someone else behind him. I think Gabriel's the second name on the list.
1:45:22Lewis Bowden:I'd rather have Saka in the team and Mosquera with Saliba than Saliba, Gabriel and Madweke. I think the drop-off is... Me, personally. You have closer depth to the starting XI with your centre-backs than you do wingers. Yeah. If Saka's not there, the drop-off is huge compared to the... Mosquera's actually a top centre-back.
1:45:43Theo:It's kind of disrespectful to Madweke, but I know... It's not really.
1:45:45Lewis Bowden:It's not really. I don't have to disrespect him. I think he's really really average he's a Premier League winger so he's good but like the difference from Gabriel to Mascara and Saka to I think it's also a different position like being a centre half for Arsenal is easier than being a winger for Arsenal
1:46:06Theo:what do you mean well just in general it's a lot harder
1:46:09Lewis Bowden:to score and create than to stop right and also you mean just by
1:46:12Theo:definition
1:46:13Lewis Bowden:and also the way you set up you are quite defensive minded I think it's easier to be in that structure alongside a Saliba a Raya a Calafiori a Timber than be Saka who is your primary creator pretty much with that fucking donkey next to him up front that other tit on the left to be fair we should put Saka up because look what he's fucking having to deal with he must be looking he's like I don't want to pass to him shit
1:46:38Reev:another weekend that's our top 10 Premier League wingers guys let us know your thoughts on that in the comments down below and how much you hate us Yes.
