In short
Premier League review and debate on Arsenal’s title push—whether they’re “boring” and whether Mikel Arteta is near the sack—plus ranking the top 10 managers. They also discuss Sunderland’s rapid rise, Chelsea’s inconsistency, relegation battles (West Ham, Fulham, Wolves), and recent results involving Liverpool, Brentford, Man United, and Aston Villa.
Guests and backgrounds
Reev, Thea Baker, and Tom Garratt are the hosts. The transcript includes a “Notorious” comment (not clearly identified as a guest). The panel speaks as Arsenal fans at times (notably Tom/Lewis), while others are more neutral/outsider.
Key claims
- Arsenal are six points clear and “by far” the best team; title is seen as likely but not guaranteed due to Arsenal’s past bottling.
- Arsenal’s goals come heavily from set pieces/penalties; they’re criticized as the “most boring champions.”
- Liverpool’s title chances are questioned after a poor run (five losses in six; “washed”).
- Sunderland have gelled instantly despite many new signings; Liverpool’s transition is framed as a “cop-out.”
- West Ham look nailed for relegation due to lack of athleticism and goals conceded.
Notable examples
- Arsenal set-piece/penalty dominance; open-play goals ranked 17th.
- Arsenal vs Crystal Palace: discussed as a “bus”/low-block style.
- Brentford vs Liverpool: long-throw threat praised; penalty decision disputed.
- Villa’s turnaround under Emery; Man United’s winning run; Sunderland’s title-charge narrative.

0:21Reev:Guys, welcome back to The Greatest Show on Earth. obviously we are the biggest best football podcast in the world second to only ex-professional podcast obviously and they don't count so we're actually the biggest I think we're bigger than them I want to say congratulations to us four thanks for tuning in every week guys we can't open it
0:42Lewis Bowden:every week by saying that
0:43Reev:and thank you to you lot we are trying to hit 400 ,000 subscribers so make sure you subscribe 1 million oh yeah 1 million subscribers we never do this before guys subscribe and tell your aunties and uncles to also subscribe and your fourth cousins, which I know you... Personally, that's weird. No, I don't know them personally. Well, you actually do know fourth cousins. We all might be fourth cousins. Anyways, this is more backside, isn't it? Premier League review. You guys love it. We love it. It's an interesting Premier League, isn't it? The top four is looking kind of mental. You've got the arse at the top.
1:12Reev:You've got Sunderland in third. You've got Bournemouth in second. And you've got Man City in fourth. You've just won the league, essentially, is what I said.
1:19Lewis Bowden:Yeah, the league's done.
1:20Theo:You've just... Can I just say... Can I just say... one of those was right. Is Sundland second? No, Bournemouth second. Bournemouth second, Spurs third, Sundland fourth.
1:30Reev:Spurs, oh, they won it last minute against Everton. God, that's even worse
1:33Theo:of a top box. What table are you looking at? That's even... Why would you not just open the show by looking at the Premier League table when we do a review? What the fuck is that? Man City in fifth,
1:41Reev:United in sixth, and Liverpool in seventh. I thought I'd just like wing it. No. Last time I checked the table, it was Bournemouth in second, Sundland third.
1:47Theo:That's why people don't take us fucking seriously, mate. Genuinely, if you do not win the league from this, What the fuck are you doing? How is that the top four? What the fuck are you doing?
1:56Lewis Bowden:Six points clear of City. I've seen the top four. They're the biggest threats, really.
1:58Reev:Are we forgetting that Liverpool were five points clear and we weren't saying if they don't like him in the league from here? They lost five games in a row.
2:04Theo:Where was that?
2:05Reev:No, where was that? Where was that when you were saying that? You went and lost five games in a row? Yeah, exactly, mate. And they bottled it?
2:10Theo:Oh, they bottled the league. Liverpool have bottled the league, haven't they? Liverpool have bottled the league. You don't believe that for a second.
2:15Reev:Look at your little smirk. It's different, though, because Liverpool are the reigning champions. They're the reigning champions. Exactly, so they're more likely to win the league. We all had them to win the fucking league. Theo, Theo, we've done this so many times. The reason it's different is because Liverpool's actually done it. They've done it. Yeah, so therefore it's a bigger bottle then. It's not a bigger bottle. They've already went to the moon. Wait, wait, wait. No, no, no. They went to the moon, Theo. Theo, Theo, please listen. Let me talk. No, no, no. You've talked of me first. Do you mind my talk?
2:39No, let me say my point. Let me say my point and then you can. Liverpool went to the moon. Liverpool went to the moon. This doesn't make any sense.
2:45Reev:Your fucking reason doesn't make any sense. Let me talk. Liverpool went to the moon and now you're saying they've bottled going to the moon when you haven't even got off earth What the fuck are you on about? That makes perfect sense by the way If the current champions are five points clear Current who by the way? Current champions? You're only backing my point You're trying to look smart but you look dumb No, no, no, no Current champions are five points clear Yeah, they've now bottled it, correct? Cool, and what are you again? You current runners up? We're not six points clear But it's irrelevant, we're talking about it now, Lou Of course you don't want to talk about the relevant facts That they have actually won the Premier League But also we're talking about a completely different time
3:26Lewis Bowden:That was a couple games in Tom you said about three weeks ago
3:30Reev:League's done with Arsenal out of the season Liverpool are going to wrap it up I didn't say you were out of the talk race ever
3:35Lewis Bowden:I said I don't think you'll win it It is hilarious you trying to say Liverpool have bottled When you haven't even won the league under Arteta They've went and won the league twice What do you mean what's the relevance
3:44Reev:We're talking about the Premier League You can still say it's more of a bottle If anything that adds to more of the bottle If anything, because it's true, they've won it, they can do it again. Do you not think it's funny? Do you see my point?
3:54Theo:Based on league state, we should, I know it's very early in the season and there can be a lot of things that change and the landscape could be very different come three months' time. But based on the league state, we should win the Premier League. Do you not think it's at all funny? It's fair for them to say that we don't at this point. But I'm saying about Liverpool.
4:10Reev:Why was the conversation about Liverpool when they were already coming to the champions?
4:12Lewis Bowden:Because at that time, Liverpool weren't by far and away the best team in the league. So five points. We talked about them almost being like... You just keep repeating the same thing and not listening to what we're trying to explain to you. Theo, Theo, this is like, do you not think it's at all funny? It's like, it's like someone to, Anthony Joshua, right? He's won the heavyweight championship and then he lost and you're like, you bottled it and you haven't even, and you've never even won the belt. So why are you in a position to criticise Liverpool? I'm not criticising. You've never even won there.
4:35I'm saying it's one,
4:36Reev:it's one reasoning for another team and another for another team.
4:38Lewis Bowden:Yeah, because they're the champions. They're the champions, yes. It's different, they've done it.
4:42Reev:They're the champions, they're the best team in the league, mate.
4:43Lewis Bowden:But back then, even when Liverpool were winning, they weren't playing well, they were conceding goals. You're winning every week, not even getting shots on target against you. You're by far the best team in the league.
4:52Reev:I agree with you, but you're saying this now, but in the moment when Liverpool were five points clear, you're saying that, oh, it's bad. It's different because they've won it.
4:57Lewis Bowden:No, no. Just stop saying they've won it. That's why it's different, and I'm telling you why. It's because they've won it. You haven't done it. You still haven't done it. So you can't criticise them. By the way, there's only nine. This is my point. This is why I'm saying the whole fucking discourse is stupid. saying it's only nine games in.
5:13Reev:We're saying, we've got people like Gary Neville saying, oh, they're going to bottle it if they don't win it. I agree, we should win the league.
5:19Lewis Bowden:He didn't say that. But he should say that. You're just making up things again. The difference is back then, like City was still like winning and performing well. Arsenal, you were still like, even games you lost, you would do like the Newcastle game. There were times, obviously the City and Liverpool games were a bit disappointing, but now you look at them and think maybe they were decent, especially the City game, not a bad result. but when Liverpool were even winning and ahead, everyone weren't going, oh, fucking hell, they're just winning every week, it's easy. Like Bournemouth nearly turned them over at home first game.
5:47Lewis Bowden:They were still conceding and looking vulnerable. Arsenal don't look vulnerable. That's why everyone's saying now, when you're now six points clear of probably your main competitor, which is City, who aren't playing well either and losing games, if you, from this position, can't win the title, then with all the depth you've got now, so there's no depth issues, there's no you've got some of the best players in each position you've got the best defence in Europe like if you don't win it from here it would be catastrophic that's all people are saying it wouldn't have been catastrophic if Liverpool when they were five points clear but they were playing badly and conceding two three goals every week
6:23Reev:I think I'm a bit more of a realist here and what I mean by that Tom is that I agree he just doesn't listen
6:29Theo:to anything no you're not listening to me right now you're not getting me talk mate
Read the full transcript
6:32Reev:I'm saying I agree Arsenal should go on and win the league here but as a bit more of a realist and as an Arsenal fan and you've seen things happen over the last three, four years, you see how we've bottled things and not pushed on or maybe not winning games when we have an opportunity to take advantage of them. I'm just a little bit more hesitant now. You've never been
6:50Lewis Bowden:this far and away ahead the best team in the league though? Yeah, it doesn't matter.
6:55Reev:If I'm being honest, it's actually like irrelevant. No, but it's like there was this argument that was irrelevant. Because as an Arsenal fan, I still look at us and think... We're going to bottle it is what you're saying. I don't look at that. I say it can happen for sure. That's the historical day of the league. You guys are neutral, so you don't have that sort of affiliation with the club in terms of the feeling it gives you right now.
7:17Lewis Bowden:So then you're not being realistic? I am being realistic. I've seen in historical data. You're not taking away your affiliation to the club. We're looking at it from an outsider's point where you're by far and away the best team in the league. Genuinely, in my opinion now, it's done. What team is going to... Liverpool are what? seven points behind and they can't they've lost five in a row is it yeah Liverpool cannot win this title like I just who can beat Arsenal who who can finish above you like genuinely realistically what Bournemouth are Bournemouth going to finish above you mate don't knock off Sunderland mate there's yeah there's
7:54Reev:no way you should win it you think it's wrapped up what do you think as Notorious saying Arsenal will bottle it every year what do you actually think no I think there's this is the thing two things to be true and honest I think Arsenal definitely should win this Premier League. I do think you will chalk it because... So you don't think Arsenal win the league then? No, no. But once... No, no, no. So therefore you don't think Arsenal win the league. I agree with you.
8:16Lewis Bowden:I think they will find a way to somehow... They always do. But the issue is who does it?
8:20Theo:No one can capture. Pick a team out now in the Premier League that will be the... I'm not even on about
8:25Lewis Bowden:mathematically right. Mathematically, technically, yeah. But you mean, as our old players, there's no weakness. No, but you're just like, who can beat you? I think that what I worry is for Arsenal is as soon as you show a bit of weakness as soon as you show a bit of weakness say it's a bit later in the season I feel like teams like Liverpool or Man City can like smell the blood and be like because they've been there before and they've seen you they'll know do you know what if we can pull this together we can do it do you not think
8:49Theo:that even if it comes down to that crunch time come the end of the year it might just be too far ahead of that I've never been more confident in you I think this is the close best chance you've ever had but you still think Arsenal will put it so who's going to win how do you lose a title from that Well, it's either Liverpool or Man City, I've just said. But I can't say it for certain. I say, statistically, I'd give you the biggest percentage chance. But for me personally, I have the feeling where I still think you will somehow mess it up. Yeah, so therefore you must think Liverpool or Man City will win the league.
9:17I don't understand what point you're trying to make.
9:19Reev:You're telling us Arsenal are going to bottle it, so therefore you must think that Liverpool or Man City will win the league. Yeah, but he doesn't know which one's more likely to happen.
9:28Theo:He said theoretically in his head, because of historical data, we should be caught Arsenal will bottle it but he can't pick between Liverpool or City It's the same every season for the last like four seasons now You should win the league that has always been my opinion Yous are the best team and you should win the league but I don't think you will
9:44Reev:So you think that Arsenal won't win the league this season what have you take away historical data what have you seen from Arsenal this year? Absolutely nothing if you take away everything from the past you should I will now win it and I'll just cancel it right now I'll be like, Premier League's over. But unfortunately, unfortunately, it does come into play. Like, it happens every year, mate, without question. And like, it is funny because each year gets more and more delicious when it happens. Like, And this one's going to be amazing. I don't think I'll be able to cope with it, Tom. But like, maybe you're right.
10:18This time, like the gap, I do. I feel like that's going to be too much of a buffer
10:22Theo:come March. But there definitely is going to be a bubble. It'll get scary. I honestly can't see it. Mate, the thing is though, when Lewis, I don't understand it if we were, you know, going into games looking shaky, conceding goals. We don't concede goals. But it's also,
10:36Reev:it's more than that though. Like, you remember a couple of seasons ago when we lost Saliba and it was like quite a big, everyone was like, oh, he's got to see. Yeah, my scare is just as good, man. And now we've got people on my scare.
10:44Lewis Bowden:There will come a point where you lose one or two. We've already lost, we've already had it this season. No, I mean in a row, like you might lose two, you might have two tough away games and lose two. There will come a, you will get tested for sure.
10:57Reev:But also, Tom,
10:58Lewis Bowden:Tom, you know what? I mean, you're not going to go fucking unbeaten now.
11:00Reev:You know what, though? You say that, Tom. I agree with you there. And we've got a couple tough fixtures coming up actually quite soon by Munich. I want to back the league. There's Spurs and Chelsea, I think, coming up as well. But we've also had quite a... If you look on fixture on paper-wise, we've had a tough start to the league. We've got through it very, very well. Burnley-Sunderman.
11:19Lewis Bowden:But the problem will be, even if you lose two or even three on the bounce, I don't trust City or Liverpool to win three on the bounce.
11:25Reev:Well, it's happened this weekend already. it's just I just think just when Harland and City started to look like they're gaining a bit of momentum and doing it bang
11:32Lewis Bowden:I think it's the most competitive league we've had in ages bar the top yeah
11:37Reev:yeah everyone's all over because everyone's so inconsistent
11:40Lewis Bowden:everyone's but it makes it fun and also remember
11:43Reev:Arsenal still have players to come back from injury
11:45Lewis Bowden:and you will still obviously you will 100 % go down as the most boring champions of all time I don't think it's necessarily I don't think it's necessarily that these bigger teams are inconsistent I just think the overall standard of the other teams is like real Yeah, it raised so much where it's like... Or buying Wolves. Playing Bournemouth isn't a guaranteed three points now. You're going to have to like... It hasn't been for years. Do you want to get that stat up yet, Lewis?
12:04Reev:I know. Is it going to be the open play goal stat? Yeah, guys. Yeah, but also, who fucking cares? Well, football fans. Do you care? It's part of the game, though, Luke. I do.
12:12Theo:You can't shun it if it's... I'm not shunning it. What Brentford's throw in. Do you care about that? Guys, can we... Brentford on top of the league. Before we interrupt, we'll just read out the stat for the audio listeners. so this is a goals breakdown for Arsenal in the Premier League this season so they rank first for set pieces first for penalty goals first for goals percentage from set pieces with 56 and for open player goals they rank 17th in the league
12:35Lewis Bowden:round of applause for our Premier League champions the most boring champions in the world Stoke City, I'm at Arsenal Steve Bruce, you were right you could have managed Arsenal to a trophy you should have took over Man United, you were right that is all Arteta is He's a glorified Steve Bruce, Tony Pulis. You're looking for a nipple, but... Is he not? He is Tony Pulis. It must ratify you so much. Is it? Wait a second, don't be disrespectful to Tony Pulis.
13:03Theo:He invented the long throws that users go. By the way, they're fucking back. They're actually back, mate. You're using Tony Pulis' blueprint to win the Premier League. Well done. We don't even use long throws, though, really. Use big shithouse defenders and corners and set pieces. Play to win. yeah yeah no well you will go down as the most boring champions of all time
13:23Reev:Lewis Bowden said it guys I feel like honestly I feel like everyone watching this agrees except for
13:29Theo:we could actually break the Chelsea record at this point by the way by the way if we're on about can we just that stuff proves you are boring I'm going mental 17th you're the top of the league with all the players you have and you rank 17th for open player goals and you're saying you're not boring no
13:45Reev:do you not find it exciting all these free kicks no not at all Also, you act like we don't create chances as well. It does happen.
13:52Theo:But do you know the reason why we have to rely on set pieces and stuff like that? Because Jokorovs can't finish a chance. No, it's because the way that people set up against Arsenal now, they just sit really deep.
14:00Lewis Bowden:Oh my God, you have to stop saying this. Every Premier League champion or the best team in the league has suffered with that since the start of time. And they haven't resorted to this. So please, please, please, please stop saying that. Man City have had for the last 10 years teams camping in their own box. and they didn't play for corners and long balls into the box. They played, in my opinion, a nice entertaining way of football, breaking teams down, battering teams. Look, I understand you're there to win and your fans don't care, but as a neutral who watches football for entertainment, you are horrific to watch.
14:36Lewis Bowden:Awful. Awful. Awful. We had all the games on the multi-watch yesterday. I didn't glance at Arsenal more than a few times because you were boring. Like that second half, you're on your palace at home and you're camping in your own half. It's like That's just not true It was Theo it was For a lot of that second half You've got 11 men behind Okay I didn't watch it Like we Well to be fair I didn't watch it Do you know what I mean Because you can't commentate on it
15:00Reev:I can tell you one thing That happened Our last nine goals Have come from nine different players Yeah The goal is spread throughout the team Anyone can score when you lump it In the box from a corner mate And just fucking have a scramble No they can't Actually No they can't Did you know No they can't It doesn't work for every team Yeah yeah It doesn't work for every team I feel like you misunderstood The reason why Arsenal are the best is because they are the best at it. I'm saying any player, not any team, Theo. What are you on about? You said you've had seven different goal scorers and I said yes, because anyone can score when you lump it into a box and then you start talking about different teams.
15:29Reev:Who's lumping it into a box? I don't know what your point is. There are still technical elements for doing that. Yeah, of course. You are amazing. You're here and working. Arsenal from corners are lumping it in the box. What's going on? So does a lot of other teams. There's a way that we're doing it. Oh my God, you don't understand what I'm saying.
15:46Lewis Bowden:We're better than every other team at it. I don't care who does it. I find it horrific to watch. That's just our opinion. It doesn't like... Other people may enjoy that. That is okay. I personally hate watching football play that way. Do you find long throws boring to watch? Yeah, yeah, I do. What?
16:02Reev:That's well exciting. Ball getting thrown in the box and what the hell going on? It rebounded and shit. But I don't...
16:07Lewis Bowden:See, I don't enjoy watching football like that. I like to see actual people play football. Mate, you fucking sound like Jamie Carragher, man.
16:11Reev:That's fucking shit. I don't just...
16:12Lewis Bowden:I have no issue with the small teams obviously using it to cause a bit of commotion to upset the big boys but when the best teams in the league are doing it me personally I think this is shit to watch
16:21Reev:The best teams are doing it all around the world and it's working therefore all the other teams are now doing it You follow the trend that win football matches I don't deny all that
16:30Lewis Bowden:but I'm saying I don't like that I'd rather people actually play football I want it on the floor As a rational Arsenal fan Yeah but do you not think it's a little bit horses for courses as well because obviously
16:39Theo:if we can't beat a team like that then yeah there's a dependency to rely on set pieces but like Atletico Madrid for example which is really good in that game yeah you're excellent the way Arsenal
16:49Reev:play football outside the set pieces doesn't overlook do you accept that Arsenal are boring as going to be the most boring champions because you're not comparing yourself to Bournemouth you're not comparing yourself to Brighton I can't remember every single champion
16:59Theo:team come on man from the champions of the Premier League who you can remember are you the most boring of the lot because it's I think when it comes
17:08Reev:to Arsenal there is this like everyone has to nitpick any little thing and they do no it's not a victim thing I think that if I were a neutral I saw the way that people discuss it in terms of everything I think there is just an agenda to just be like yeah everything they do is just like boring which team are you more entertaining which champion are you more entertaining than to watch I don't know mate I can't remember every season I can't think of a single team that you are more entertaining than
17:30Lewis Bowden:West Brom are shit to watch at the minute we're so boring we're shit I accept that other teams call it shit and boring to watch we are even when we were third we were shit to watch we're boring we are a boring team to watch I don't understand I accept that
17:45Reev:Why for neutrals Do they get so vexed About Arsenal Why can't Because you're not Accepting it I'm not getting vexed I'm getting vexed You're not accepting it You're not I agree I'm getting annoyed We're on a flip show Talking about To answer your question Point proven by the way I agree I'm annoyed Because you're annoying me Because you won't accept it To answer your question Overall potentially
18:04Theo:But it's very game specific Because there are Games where we've been amazing That's why it's frustrating As a neutral Because you can play like that And win But then you go out And you do that to the opponent you're playing against.
18:14Lewis Bowden:And you have to rely on long balls. You have to rely on set-pieces against Crystal Palace at home. When you've just gone and battered Athletic Co-Madrid. That's the first game Crystal Palace haven't scored in this season. That's the only thing that frustrates.
18:24Theo:And they beat Liverpool. Did you know that?
18:26Lewis Bowden:No, I didn't. You're acting like Crystal Palace are this fucking shit team. They're not. They're a mid-table Premier League team where you should be beating at home comfortably. We just did. No, but you're not. We literally just did beat at home comfortably. You're throwing 11 men behind the ball at home against Crystal Palace.
18:41Reev:There was no point in that game which we thought we were going to lose. That's not what we're talking about. Oh my God. I can't be off. Sorry, is that not beating someone? You're misunderstanding. Me getting angry at Arsenal, I'm getting annoyed at you because you're not understanding. You saying, we're the first team Crystal Palace haven't scored against. Oh, we wouldn't want... All this stuff. It's leaning into our point of, you're boring. You're taking pride and just sitting back and holding on for a clean team. Which one nil at all? Mate, you didn't watch the game. You can't say shit. You literally didn't watch the game.
19:11Reev:You didn't watch the game. You have no idea if Arsenal sat back The things I'd rather do, I'd rather go back and watch West Brom play Watford than watch Arsenal. I swear to God. You can commentate on a football match when you watch the game. I'll watch your games as soon as you go out your own half in the second half instead of come back in the bus. How do you know Arsenal sat back in the first half I've just had a look. Your possession dropped from 65 % in the first half to 55%. You sat back. So you still had more possession? Oh my God. Oh wait, no. So now you're looking at stats. Every time he proves the point a little bit more and he doesn't realise it.
19:41Reev:When I use stats, it's like, but now you're looking at stats and you haven't watched the game and you're now taking a point away from the game. I've never said anything about you using stats. You can't say, you didn't watch the game, mate. I've never said anything about you using stats. You didn't watch the game. You just looked at stats. You looked at one possession stat. We need to review the rest of the game.
19:55Lewis Bowden:Yeah, we do. You can't look at one possession stat. The reason I don't watch the game
19:58Reev:is because you're a shit. You thought Newcastle were pinning Arsenal in, mate, and you're watching the fucking game. You prove our point without realising it, though. Bottom line is,
20:05Lewis Bowden:You are the best team in the league. I just personally find you boring and a tough watch. That is all. The only reason I get frustrated is I don't think you need to play that way because of all the plays you've got. And I've seen you do it against Atletico Madrid the other night. You were amazing. I don't think you have to play this way. If Arteta thinks you have to and it wins you the title, who gives a fuck if you're an Arsenal fan, of course. But me personally, as a neutral, as someone who watches football, the Premier League for entertainment, I hate watching Arsenal. That is all. and yous yous don't have to hate it like if I was Arsenal I'd be like fuck it we've suffered long enough not winning the league exactly that's exactly how I'm acting no it's the fact that you won't accept that you're boring and it's like you're 17th all the way 15th now right anyway
20:52Theo:we've got nine other games to review guys come on right Chelsea
20:54Lewis Bowden:lost at home to the mighty Sunderland fucking hell the first one
20:58Theo:didn't annoy you Lewis five points ahead
21:00Lewis Bowden:of you now as well they're actually going to turn you
21:02Theo:over when they play Sunderland were by far the better team as well. Yeah, they play well.
21:06Lewis Bowden:They're on a title charge, mate. Chelsea, mate, Chelsea, Chelsea sum up the Premier League at the minute, the inconsistency of everyone other than Arsenal. Yeah. I don't know how they look at this.
21:15Theo:John Pedra went from the best signing in for this. Has he had a shot on target
21:18Reev:in any games yet?
21:19Theo:He's not had a shot on target in five games. No, but in like five games they don't have a shot on target. It just never feels straightforward at Chelsea. It's either, like, they make it difficult or there's a red card randomly. It's always scrappy. It never feels like... Just when they thought they were getting in Champions League football, Well, they're back.
21:33Reev:They're down in ninth.
21:34Lewis Bowden:Yeah. Genuinely. Yeah. I think it's the worst game Koisadar's had for him as well. But also, yeah. Sunderland deserved it.
21:42Theo:Sunderland is a really tight-knit unit as well. Mate, Reggie Labrie, fuck me.
21:46Lewis Bowden:He took over Sunderland's team. Is that his first job? No, no. He was managing in France, I'm pretty sure. I think he's got a decent reputation in France. But when he took over, Sunderland had just finished, I think, 16th in the championship. Do you know what? It just goes against...
21:59Reev:You know this whole talk of Liverpool, they need to gel, they're in like a transition period they've got all these new players Sunderland got how many new signers? 13? Is it 13 new signs? Something like that they went gelled instantly They're proof that you don't need this transition period they've just gone we are the team we are the players we play well
22:18Theo:We play well we score goals
22:21Reev:I think this whole transition period is just a bit of a cop-out for a lot of other teams
22:23Theo:Do you think it is true? I think it depends on the team and the players but a lot of the players that Sunderland have acquired were better than the previous set that they have. Well, Liverpool, they won the league with that set of players. It's a different kind of transition, isn't it? Big drop-off, though. Yeah, but still.
22:43Lewis Bowden:You can just say your opinions on Liverpool if you want.
22:46Reev:No, I was just posing a question. I don't necessarily agree with it.
22:49Lewis Bowden:Oh, my God, you're such a cop-out. Just say what you think. You think Liverpool are getting away with lack of criticism? Is that your point? No, I think... Because Sunderland players have gelled so far.
23:00Reev:No, I think there's a multitude of reasons why Liverpool have dropped off, not just one particular reason. I think they're getting a lot of quizzes in Liverpool. Yeah, but I don't think for Liverpool, it's not just one thing. I think there's like many reasons. I'm loving that. I'm loving that. It's almost like a bunch of little reasons that I've added up to one big drop-off. It's beautiful to watch. It's interesting. I've said this about Sunderland because I said on Twitter, I was like, you know, fair play, but it's going to be interesting to see how the rack when they start struggling and it doesn't go the way.
23:26And they were like, oh, what about the Man United score? Sunderland losing to Man United at Old Trafford, I think it was, isn't like a prop, like that's expected. I'm talking about when there's a point where you lose a few games in a row and you start like, that's what it'll be. When teams, because teams will figure them out. They haven't had much to go off this brand new team. And the more games you play, the more they can see, the more they figure out. And when that happens, how can you adapt from there is going to be the question.
23:50Reev:December's looking pretty rough. Yeah, it's a tough set for them now. Everton, Arsenal, Fulham, Bournemouth. And then it's Liverpool, City, Newcastle.
23:57Theo:But then again, like then again Chelsea is supposed to be a difficult picture and they've just done that as well but Fair Play is something they're absolutely smashing it and Granit Xhaka
24:05Reev:is actually the man also Isidore is like kind of sick isn't he yeah he is to be fair he is actually kind of sick and also they're long frozen they're Muggele yeah they are
24:17Lewis Bowden:comparing themselves to Sunderland
24:19Reev:comparing themselves to third best team in the Premier League or fourth best team in the Premier League come on did you watch that game West Ham are so bad. They've gone down. West Ham are so crap. Relegate them. Yeah. First league win, home win for Leeds. Also, what would West Ham do if like Bo and Paqueta weren't in the team? Did you see how good Paqueta's footwork was during that? I know like... Yeah, he had a few moments, didn't he?
24:45Lewis Bowden:But West Ham are shit. They're so bad.
24:47Reev:West Ham, big chance going down. They have two good players. Big chance, 100%. They have two good players.
24:53Lewis Bowden:They're the slowest team in the league. They're really not athletic players. No, just like, can you watch them? Yeah, yeah. Like Carragher said it the other day, after they lost to Brentford at home, and he reckons they're the most unathletic team he's ever seen in the Premier League. It's so true, though. Yeah. Who's got pace in that team? Other than Juve. Juve, the left back. That is it. You cannot play in this. You cannot be a Premier League side in the modern day with no athleticism. It's impossible. Because teams who are worse, and you can just outrun you and out bully you. They've conceded the most goals this season.
25:30Lewis Bowden:I think they are almost nailed on to go down. West Ham. I just can't see how they sail.
25:35Reev:That is catastrophic if they go down, by the way. I mean, yeah. It actually is. It is for anyone, isn't it?
25:41Theo:The way the league works is like, if you go down, you probably deserve to go down, don't you? The thing is that they are a team who would bounce. Actually, would they bounce straight back up? Yeah. They lose Bowen and Paqueta, you'd imagine. Unless Bowen and Paqueta you wouldn't care about the rest of the world
25:57Reev:for the Premier League this is great give it a chance we're still talking about this game yeah Leeds for the Premier League this is great Leeds getting points on the board mate
26:04Theo:it's fucking fast it's absolutely fantastic actually wide open for the relegation yeah no it's a way better battle than last season is it because last season was already already way better yeah
26:13Lewis Bowden:100 % I hope all three stay off yeah
26:17Theo:makes it way more interesting do you reckon do you reckon there's a possibility that the three current sitting in the bottom are the ones that go down
26:23Lewis Bowden:Forest no way Fulham Wolves are looking dodgy I think Burnley will still go I reckon
26:30Reev:Oh what about Alexander Graham Fleming though
26:33Lewis Bowden:Or La Foster Like I know they won I mean we'll get on to them I know they won yesterday but They're still They're still Dramatic circumstances
26:42Reev:We'll get on to it now mate Dramatic circumstances Once again Did you see what happened after the game with the Wolves fans Yeah No What happened They're all like Why do they
26:51Lewis Bowden:This is the clapping thing again Why do people Why are players doing this? Let's get off the pitch. No, just...
26:56Theo:Wait, they're going right up to the fans
26:59Lewis Bowden:and just kind of standing there and just... Taking...
27:02Theo:I don't understand. And they're just like, yeah, we're shit, sorry. And then... Has the manager told them to do that? No, no. It's become a thing.
27:08Lewis Bowden:It's become a thing. It's become a thing. Yeah, every team seems to be doing it. Sar got out of the car afterwards and he was talking with fans. You see him when he left. Even the other day... He got out of the car. Who did? Was it Sar? Yeah. And he's like, but I don't understand what the fans want out of that. Yeah. because Sarr they're venting aren't they no I understand but Sarr's obviously going to go look we're trying we need you this and that and then they're going to him well who's to blame and he's like what I'm not going to say that but then even Albion did it the other day they lost obviously we lost at Watford and they're coming to the way and they're just like stood they're like looking at us in my whole life following Albion home and away especially away games it would always be the players would just come over no matter if you'd won it would be a bit more like that hurrah no matter like the result if it was away say you lost 4-0, they'd come over, just clap, and then they'd fuck off.
27:55Lewis Bowden:What is this new thing of just standing there just taking abuse? I don't get it.
27:59Reev:It only angers the fans more, I feel like. They start an event and then things snowball.
28:04Lewis Bowden:No, but then Strand Larson then had a little dig back. He's like, look, we need you, we need you. And then obviously the players are going fuck, and then Pereira just turns around. I don't know what he was doing. He starts doing that to them, which I think he meant, like, come on, we need you. But the Bulls fans, I think, took it. They're like, oh, fuck it, I've been waiting.
28:21Theo:At the time of recording this, he's still in a job.
28:24Lewis Bowden:Yeah. And they've come out and said, Jeff Shee's come out and said he's not going to sack him. Interesting. So, yeah, the Wolves fans are not happy. As the correspondent Wolves fan over there. Yeah, they're not happy, mate. Fuck me.
28:34Reev:Are they happy to keep him or he has to go?
28:38Lewis Bowden:I think they want it. They more want the owners out.
28:41Theo:They're on course to beat Derby's record at this point.
28:43Lewis Bowden:Oh, God, forgive me that. Inject that into me now. I just want I mean I want us to pack our ideas up and then draw them in the cup but well another team in the relegation zone full ham no they're not no they're not well get them near there so are you they're three points clear so are you at that point nah we're a few more points clear I'll tell you what we needed that fucking win badly I was so stressed in those five minutes because I was just my life was flashing before my eyes I was like the season's over
29:09Reev:Murphy season's over mate we're just nine games in it's just I was saying on the stream I was like it's really annoying because like we get ourselves up for the Champions League and all these games but like these games for some reason we just haven't been performing the same so it's an important win. I know it's not but when you're in that moment and you're just fucking annoyed and it's like you're just depressing isn't it. How come with Jacob Murphy's goal? I thought he took that side well. He should have got two. He needs to start. We're really struggling with deciding who we're starting. Why is the
29:36Theo:game played over him it?
29:39Reev:Played on the right and scored two. Yeah he came on and scored two on the right which is exciting to see because maybe that's the way to go. I don't know. I think just play Murphy for the system. What do you mean the Benfica one? Yeah.
29:48Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but it's different being on the break on the right than actually, yeah, breaking teams down, like playing that right-hand side. The thing is, Bann scores goals. Yeah, it doesn't matter. He was like that at the Alvin, but he's better off the left. He's way better off the left. That's what we tried it for before. Or even in the 10, he played as like a second striker for us for a bit and he was good there. Last season we tried it and it just didn't work and that's when we brought Murphy onto the right and he had a great season. But we need to stick with Murphy. and just what's the consensus
30:15Reev:around him right now I think it's all good I feel like everyone has confidence that Eddie Howell figures it out and like because he has we've always had we've had little dips we were 12 last season like I said we were 12 last season at Christmas so it's like he always figures it out and it is a bit it's a very I know you are I've seen him with the Icaras before where it's like it's not that different when you swap the strikers but like you literally have Izaki used to play off the last man and now Volta Marder literally drops steep and he spends most of his time here so it is a bit different adapt to a striker Is that what you're saying?
30:42I agree with you on the Yuccarest point. If you look back. I literally did. You can't remember. I think he did. I literally did because I agree. I do think, I feel like it's even more so well, Marduk's, he dropped Steve so much. Yeah, but Isak would do that as well. No, he would drop in and get involved. Alcott did a really good, Alcott did a really good,
31:02Lewis Bowden:he wasn't constantly on the shoulder, like a Moikolo in, was he? But like, Alcott did a really good video on it, where it's like, it literally shows the heat maps, and it's like, mate, like, way further back but that's why I think when we bring Wisser in I think we'll play them together and Wisser will play off the back of them because then he'll benefit off that because we have Wisser coming behind yeah but then you lose a body in midfield yeah we always shit with two in midfield I can't see Tonali definitely can he's mobile enough I don't think Bruno G is mobile enough we played two in midfield against Leeds and long staff fucking out
31:35Reev:it's so hard for any team right now to play two in midfield you just get overrun every time at least you beat
31:40Theo:One of your 19 bogey teams.
31:42Reev:But what about Fulham? Surely Fulham are a little bit...
31:44Theo:If you're a Fulham fan here, surely you're just a bit like...
31:47Lewis Bowden:They're just so old, aren't they?
31:49Theo:But they didn't recruit anyone.
31:50Lewis Bowden:Nah, yeah. They actually just didn't do anything.
31:52Theo:Now he's paying...
31:53Lewis Bowden:I think they'll be alright. Might lose the manager because they're trying to get time down for a contract. Yeah, bad thing.
31:59Reev:Yeah. Yeah, yeah. I mean, you're just above the relegation zone. You're 17th. You're talking to him directly? Yeah. How do you guys feel as Burnley fans? Let us know in the comments down below. Fulham. What did I say? Burnley. For some reason. So I'm looking at Burnley.
32:13Lewis Bowden:Anyway, Man United have won three in a row. Kurnia scored a belt. By the way, they were really good. They were really good. They played really well. Maybe he was right. I don't know. I might have to apologise to him. You definitely have to apologise. I will. I do think it is also a bit early because they almost nearly tried to throw it away again.
32:34Reev:Just nearly. So they've got two away games next. Forest. I think they win that. and Spurs Spurs at home so he's Spurs away which means the curly haired bloke could be waiting on a Spurs waiting on a Spurs United 100 % what does he do after he shaves his head what does he do transcends into the atmosphere or we should get him on for the Spurs he'll get the game
32:58Lewis Bowden:third successive Premier League win first time he's failed and Brembo's cooking now and he's back
33:03Reev:individual brilliance he just needed time to what stop getting getting back
33:08Lewis Bowden:I mean like we said I just felt like Mbemar and Cunha were just like such obviously good signings because they've done it in the Premier League and they seem to have that character that would suit Man United even Sesko looked alright I thought his touch you know when he like yeah he had a bit but I thought his link up playing was decent you need Krois back inside yeah I don't think there was many bad performances they looked solid at the back as well do you two still think
33:33Theo:they'll finish bottom half of the table
33:34Reev:I mean there's every chance still you just never know Man United
33:37Theo:You're covering your own back. Just say yes or no. Are they good enough to finish top half?
33:42Reev:They are good enough to finish top half. Man United are going to finish in the top seven. They were finishing the top half.
33:46Theo:You'd expect them to now. You're probably right, but also at the same time. This season's just so weird, though. But they've got a keeper that can make saves. Yeah, the keeper things are great.
33:55Reev:There's a great addition for them. Still think they should have got
33:57Lewis Bowden:Emi Martinez? He played well against City. Logically, at the time, I feel like it was a gamble they shouldn't have taken. It's worked out, but you can't deny it. No, it was the right decision, but I do think it was like a bit of a silly gamble. Also, by the way... I feel like that's fair. I feel like more Spani Night Band to ignore that's a gamble.
34:15Reev:We sort of touched on their new signings playing well, but I hate to say it. Fucking, is Casemiro back?
34:21Lewis Bowden:Casemiro has been... But he's actually been all right all season though, Casemiro. He has been okay. Just fun to make fun of.
34:26Reev:Also, Bruno's sort of taken to the eight role now. Like, he's actually kind of...
34:29Lewis Bowden:I still don't like him there. Oh, but he's very important for me.
34:32Reev:He's a 10 for me.
34:33Theo:He's kind of just stringing it.
34:34Reev:but he is good enough to he's a 10 out of 10 the problem is you can't play him he's just a great footballer because
34:40Theo:he's just a great footballer he can play anywhere really
34:43Reev:isn't he yeah he's just very very good oh this
34:47Theo:this game gave me so much joy other than watching Salah get a free goal at the end of it Salah's goal was actually really good he's done it really well but why are they giving it in there but he has to be dropped
34:59Lewis Bowden:it was half in barrow like even as an avid Salah agenda and hater I understand that obviously everyone's time comes to an end. Even I watched that and I wasn't even laughing. I thought, this is sad. Every time he got the ball he'd just run into someone or miscontrol it and I was like, he just doesn't look himself. No, he doesn't. But then he scores an amazing goal to be fair to him and nearly gets them back in the game. Five losses at the last six. Kirk has to be dropped. Kirk has to be dropped.
35:27Reev:He's fucking useless. He's still alright, isn't he?
35:29Lewis Bowden:Yeah.
35:30Reev:Five losses in six games in Liverpool. Oh yeah. Why do you love it so much? I fucking can't stand them.
35:38Theo:Why is that? No, no reason. No reason. Brentford were good, man. I mean, they actually do use the long throw weapon. Van Dijk doesn't look himself either.
35:47Reev:They've got so many players underperforming. Their defence is getting sort of just like caught out a lot in position. Yeah.
35:54Lewis Bowden:Swoppy, really sloppy. Honestly, it's such a shame. It is such a shame.
35:59Reev:Take no credit away from Brentford, by the way. Yeah, they were really good. Igor Thiago. Yeah. I know he missed all the last season of injury, didn't he? But he was brought in to be the Tony replacement and he's starting to cook.
36:10Lewis Bowden:Mate, Brentford don't make bad signings, do they?
36:12Reev:Also, Damsgaard is just getting an assist every single week. Henderson was great.
36:16Lewis Bowden:Henderson's been going under the rear dart a lot. Henderson's been quality all season for Brentford. And Danny Colbert. But, I'm sorry, it wasn't a penalty. There's no way they can conclusively say that was in the boxer on the line. so you've just got to go with the on-field decision it's clear and obvious mate
36:37Theo:and also
36:40Lewis Bowden:even if it was on the line I don't even know if it was a foul
36:42Theo:he hardly touches him I saw I can't remember who I saw say it but a penalty is like statistically 75 % chance of scoring the goal right I don't know but surely you know that but what I'm saying is that punishment to be given the reward of like it's not clear and obvious that's my point It's like the Arsenal one the other day.
37:04Reev:And they took ages. Which one was that? When he got overturned. The Saka one. Yeah, yeah, I agree. It's exactly the same. It's not clear and obvious.
37:10Lewis Bowden:When you're wasting four minutes to still give a decision that half the people don't agree with. But then if that's a penalty, the Gakpo one's a penalty? I didn't see that one. It's a shame for things to go against Liverpool. He beats... I'm not like they always benefit from decisions.
37:25Reev:Also, you know, there's a lot of reasons. I don't know. It didn't happen that game, but recently a lot of the, you know, semi-automatic offside have just been failing. No, it was off.
37:33Lewis Bowden:worldwide for a while. They had to bring the lines out the other day. Oh, it was just down. It was... The system was down.
37:38Reev:They used the same Amazon sort of thing that's been down recently. I don't know. The Amazon network... They used Amazon Prime. Amazon network's been down, haven't they? It runs internet and all that. Yes. Liverpool are washed, man. Yeah, man. That's true. What a shame. So what their fixture is coming up, they've got Palace in the... Well, in the cup midweek. Yeah, Palace in the cup. And then they've got Villa at home. They're going to lose both. And then they've got Real Madrid at home. And then City away. Oh, man. Oh, Bob, who at Liverpool? Oh, we spend so much money
38:05Lewis Bowden:and we can't play football.
38:08Reev:They're transitioning, man. Sorry, yeah, they're transitioning. It's mad that Isak went there to win trophies. God, fucking hell. Jesus. Do you reckon he'd win a Newfie to stay there? Do you reckon Liverpool win a trophy? Well, I can tell you, for certain he'll win the same amount.
38:22Theo:Oh, it's 0-0.
38:23Reev:No, we're going to win the League Cup. Who's going to win a trophy first, Isak or Newcastle? It'll be Newcastle. Oh, you want to bet on that? We're going to win the League Cup this year. What are they going to win? Do you want to make a bet? Nah, I've made too many bets. Come on, do it. Put your money away, man. The thing is, will Isaac get a medal? He's not going to be playing, is he? Okay, let's do it. He's an injured. Oh yeah, that was an awful lot. That green injury again, isn't it? Apparently.
38:47Lewis Bowden:Villa City. Villa might be back, by the way. What a turnaround for them.
38:50Theo:Well, they're scoring goals again, finally. That was an unreal finish as well.
38:53Lewis Bowden:Yeah, man, Cash is on fire at the minute. He's a little, little round tarda.
38:58Reev:Mateus Cash.
39:00Lewis Bowden:I mean I know we had all four on yesterday but I just thought every time we flicked to City it was like just But they had chances
39:06Reev:Yeah they did They had a few I know but
39:09Lewis Bowden:They're not creating as much as they should or usually do
39:12Reev:I thought Villa were just all over them
39:13Lewis Bowden:Villa were the better team It's mad I was so kicked on now Yeah since Emery come out and like had a go at them all they've actually completely turned it around Tom 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
39:24Reev:Emery come out In their last seven matches they've won six games
39:30Lewis Bowden:yeah but they also did lose to fucking a pub side in the week hey go ahead Eagles
39:34Theo:in Holland hey go ahead Eagles class go ahead fly Eagles don't knock the
39:38Lewis Bowden:go ahead Eagles which Brendan Brendan's penalty has only just landed
39:41Theo:what a shit he's injured now as well it's a fucking PES 2005 regenerated name go ahead Eagles
39:47Reev:yeah it's the Crystal Palace PES name actually could be go ahead Eagles are 10th in the Eredivisie exactly don't knock the
39:56Lewis Bowden:go ahead The go-ahead Eagles Did you watch the game? They fuck like Their stadium is like Barmits It's fucking hilarious All the players go But no in the league Villa have definitely turned around They look a lot better Mate and they're like What are they down to? Emery Yeah they got Emery
40:13Reev:They look more flowing I just think
40:15Lewis Bowden:I honestly do think At the start They were like a bit I can't remember who it was It might have been Our match of day Or someone was saying That maybe some of their players after last season thought we're the bollocks kind of thing and that's when he's giving the kick up the arse and like you're all fucking lazy so I think he's down to Henry like he's a top manager isn't he he is
40:39Theo:and moving on to another like title contending team Bournemouth again another clean sheet 2-0 against Forest Dyche's first Premier League game baptism of fire
40:50Reev:I didn't expect that mate
40:52Theo:he's class
40:53Reev:got promoted with Lorient on.
40:56Theo:Kruppi Junior.
40:56Reev:Any other stats about him?
40:58Lewis Bowden:He scored like 25 goals last year. Do you know what he's... I actually did check. I was looking him up earlier. Do you know his goals per 90? Not in that way.
41:08Theo:So,
41:09Lewis Bowden:legal, isn't it?
41:09Theo:2, true, true. 2.7.
41:11Lewis Bowden:2.14 goals per 90. This season? Yeah. Fucking hell. In the league. Surely you just start every game and get
41:17Theo:two goals per 90. What are we doing here? That's more than Harland. That's like double Harland. It's because he comes off the bench. If he keeps scoring,
41:23Reev:right, whilst Evan Nelson's back surely you can't put Evan Nelson back in yeah because Irayola
41:27Theo:is a good manager and he realised form is more important than oh just pedigree is that a dig at Jokka is no oh my god you're turning on
41:37Reev:you're digging it too cool no oh my god who are you turning on no I'm saying Irayola is a good better manager than Irayola oh fucking hell
41:43Theo:can you imagine if I took over Bournemouth off the back of this episode no yeah
41:48Lewis Bowden:what a gaffer though also by the way
41:50Theo:how the fuck is that going in from the corner like Matt Sellers What are we doing here? Didn't you put him in like the best
41:55Lewis Bowden:only in the league or something that season? I put him overrated. Maybe Mike overrated. I don't remember that. He meant it. FPL merchant. Don't remember that. Well, he is overrated. He meant the goal. I think he did. Yeah, of course he meant the goal. I think he did.
42:06Theo:Professional footballer. He's putting it in.
42:10Lewis Bowden:No, I don't even think he was trying to put it in an area. I think he was shooting. Probably was, mate. He knows how bad Matt Sels is. Do you know what? The thing is, Sels has always been this bad. I just want that to be known. He was absolutely shit for us. I don't know what happened to him last year, but he's always been shit. He's always been shit. I promise. He's on steroids. Everybody's on steroids. And finally, the last game of the weekend, I will be honest, I fell asleep from most of this. So you're going to have to... I saw the first two goals and then I woke up and the Mexico Grand Prix was on.
42:39Lewis Bowden:Yeah.
42:40Theo:Bit annoying, really. Spurs are just so weird. Spurs really are a weird team.
42:44Reev:They're just so weird. Yeah.
42:46Theo:What do we think about the disallowed goal, by the way? And I fiddling with Vicario. he's offside wasn't he
42:52Lewis Bowden:no there was two of them weren't there yeah it was Greenwich and Van Der I can see why
42:56Theo:that's disallowed but I yeah but they didn't really put him off no I don't think
43:00Lewis Bowden:I don't think he would have saved it anyway but they all kind of just stood on top of him you can see why that's given
43:07Reev:it's their first loss yeah but I felt bad for Everton mate they were undefeated at the Hilly Dick until this game but how was Spurs third because Thomas
43:16Lewis Bowden:Frank's a good manager yeah but
43:17Reev:like I swear they've had some
43:20Lewis Bowden:good results this season don't forget they went to City and won. Yeah, I know, but... You know, the mighty man City.
43:24Reev:Yeah, but... They seem like they're just like up and down. They are a weird team. But they're not. They're actually more up.
43:29Theo:Every team is though. You haven't been
43:32Lewis Bowden:concentrating on their results, have you? It's also, they were poor last week against Villa. They've had a few poor performances. So when they're bad, they're bad. Yeah, yeah.
43:40Theo:But when they're good, they're all right. Yeah. They've lost two games this season.
43:43Lewis Bowden:In the Prem. Who's that? Villarreal. Good.
43:46Theo:They're the joint most goals scored as well. when they lost to Bournemouth one-0 at home Do you think most goals scored?
43:51Lewis Bowden:I don't remember that
43:52Reev:Do they need to do Spurs need to figure out who their best number nine is Aren't you a Spurs fan?
44:00Lewis Bowden:You are
44:00Reev:Spurs need to figure out who their best number nine is
44:02Lewis Bowden:They've got to stop Moani Now he's fit Because Tell
44:06Theo:Telly's not a striker
44:08Lewis Bowden:Solanke's what?
44:10Theo:Yeah Dog shit He's not though is he?
44:13Lewis Bowden:Yeah he is a bit Yeah one good season at Bournemouth That's blasphemy Tom Why are you eating an apple on the pot?
44:22Theo:He was broke out with some apples. He might as well get some crisps out. Paulini is a game changer as well. Yeah, he's been so good for them this season. Unbelievable. Very, very good, isn't he?
44:31Lewis Bowden:Ben Tencore nearly scored a worldie as well first half. Then when he flicked it up for the volley. Fucking hell. Skimmed the post. That was so horny. That was the horniest thing I've seen all season. Yeah. I thought from what I saw, Simmons was poor though. And I've been... He's not really like... He's been inconsistent as well.
44:46Theo:Yeah.
44:46Lewis Bowden:Just a few lazy... He's not hit the ground running yet, Javi. He shall adapt.
44:52Theo:Confident, yeah? I'm talking like...
44:53Lewis Bowden:But that's the Premier League review anyway, guys. We hope we reviewed your team well enough. It is a mental season already. No, it's good, though. The Wolves just keep propping up the table, don't they? Propping up the table. Propping up the table. You fucking useless. Sorry, wrong show. Sorry, wrong show. No, like it, man.
45:09Theo:We're like crushing... Nah, you don't understand what's going on. You just like the multiverse, bro. Nah, nah. Oh, should we just mug them? We already just have. Yeah, we just mugged this shit out of you, boys. Is that a reference as well? Not everything's a reference.
45:24Reev:Oh, sorry.
45:24Lewis Bowden:But God's sake. I'm sorry, Dan Waterbolt.
45:25Reev:What did you do when we scored?
45:28Lewis Bowden:Nah, you wouldn't understand. Come on, man. You don't get it. You don't understand, buddy.
45:32Reev:Well, speaking of players maybe performing pretty well. Obviously, I know we just discussed certain men. A few months ago, we did our Premier League underperforming 11, aka last month. So we thought we'd do something a little bit. I don't know whether this is like a compliment to players or is it like this is good this is definitely a compliment
45:53Theo:it's based on expectations isn't it so I mean obviously they're better than what you think they are
45:56Reev:because I've got
45:57Theo:I don't know how you guys I don't know how you guys feel you know when some of these players
46:01Reev:I thought yeah they're overperformed but then I actually think shit maybe that's just their level yeah maybe they're that good
46:06Theo:maybe they are just that good that's fair
46:07Reev:so I'm caught in limbo
46:09Theo:on a couple of these players here lads who's going to go first
46:11Reev:well I would like to take I'd like to take this one if that's okay you're going to take the reins yeah is that right Go ahead, you're the boss. Well, normally I end up going for a wee at this point and I come back in and you've all made a pact to say shit about my thing. Happen once and once, mate.
46:26Theo:Don't hold a grudge, bro.
46:28Reev:I love those three. The one we did with you, we were all meant to ignore you, but we actually couldn't do that. And I said this thing the other day. You just completely did the opposite of what you said. Yeah, but we found some confusion about the instructions.
46:42Lewis Bowden:Hey, Tom, how you doing? Yeah, no, no.
46:44Reev:Oh, the boys don't fucking give it up then. Right then, my over-performing Premier League XI is as follows. I got Roof in goal. Roof? Roof. Roof? Yeah. Roof. Only reason I didn't put Roof. The only reason I didn't put him in me is because I didn't know anything about him. Not a clue. Same team, right back. I got a back five, actually. Right one back. I got Mukiele. Again, didn't really lie. He's been good. He's in class. And also got really long throws. Yeah, bullet throw, mate. Which is kind of sick. Yeah. Now this one You have to hear my reasoning Hear me out Hear me out Hear me out Is he a hear me out It is a hear me out Because Just say it Okay Hear me out because He doesn't start But when he fills in There's no difference in the team And I didn't expect that Muscara
47:32Lewis Bowden:Yeah it's a great shot
47:33Reev:I think We signed him We're like yeah we heard he's decent But The fact that when Saliba doesn't play Saliba's now injured right He's seamless, isn't it, when he comes in? It's just like, wow.
47:43Lewis Bowden:Yeah.
47:43Reev:I didn't know that. Wow. Yes. And then, you know, I said earlier about the, like, is this guy, is this the levels? Snessy?
47:49Theo:Yeah, yeah. I think he's like one of the best centre-backs in the league. I'll put him in as well. Yeah. And then Calafiore. Yeah. I'll put him as well. He's keeping Marlon Lewis-Gelley out of the team. We're on the same team, guys.
47:58Reev:Marlon Lewis-Gelley is getting kept out of the team.
47:59Lewis Bowden:I just didn't think he'd start this season. I can't, and he's been on the run.
48:01Theo:Oh, absolutely. to keep the level of my Lewis Kelly out yeah that's an overperformance and he's a good looking bastard
48:08Lewis Bowden:yeah he's got a big cock he's nearly as good as Costoolas yeah but
48:11Reev:his cock's still on though
48:12Lewis Bowden:Costoolas is so sexy we need to talk about him
48:14Reev:and then my left wing back again a Bournemouth defender Truffet Truffet Truffet Truffet
48:21Theo:Truffet Truffle I like Truffles I got two midfielders I'm playing the 5-2-3 formation fuck you know FPL's taken over for you
48:28Reev:I got Josh Cullen just
48:30Theo:ooh
48:31Reev:yeah he's good and then this guy is just like should be considered for one of the best signings in the league and we keep saying it Zubmendi I know we were after him for ages and everyone said how good he was but I didn't realise how good he was you can't come into
48:45Theo:the league and be straight off the rip bear in mind
48:48Reev:he was only like 40 million no he wasn't
48:49Lewis Bowden:it was 45 million wasn't it like 60 nope I don't think he was that much I'm pretty sure he was Jamie pull that up
48:54Reev:and that was my point at the start like no one at the start of the season Jamie pull that up Jamie pull that up please be right I'm pretty sure he's 60 million but no one at the start
49:02Lewis Bowden:I had 50 in my head, but I don't know. I think most people thought Zubermanyi was amazing. Did you think he was this good? Liverpool chased him all last summer. Did you think he was this good? Arsenal... 51, yeah. 60 million. Yeah, I was talking about, obviously...
49:15Reev:The figure was 60 million. Yeah, I was talking about 45 million yen. That would be like...
49:19Theo:A million yen, wouldn't it? Oh, fuck.
49:22Reev:Anyways, yeah, he's better than I thought. Anyways. I agree. I didn't think he would come... Front three. And then do the job. I've got Isidore up front for Sunderland. Really? I don't think Yeah He's better than I thought Like he's getting more goals I mean that's the second I understand that's the definition I want to say
49:40Theo:He's got like Four Five Got five goals this season We just read it was four Was it four goals this season
49:44Reev:Like do you expect A sudden strike To be getting that After nine games But they are third Aren't they That's my point The whole fucking team Yeah you could have Oh yeah Igor Thiago Yeah He's actually the bollocks Has he got five In the league now Yeah Just goal scoring machine And then Semenyo He's got like 75 % Yeah, yeah.
50:02Theo:Semenyo's obviously in the team. He's got the highest percentage goal contributions for one team in Premier League history. No, but he is class, but he's still overperforming how class he is. I've left out some of these players because I just think like, yeah, they're that good. Yeah, but you get that level of goals. Semenyo's been one of the best players in the league. To be involved in three of every four goals at your club as a left winger is statistical insanity. Messi wouldn't even do that. I think my team's really bad. Now I've heard some of your names. Go on then. Well, if it's down, man.
50:30Theo:I've got very similar ones to fear, so should I go? I don't disagree.
50:36Reev:It's like an apple to set up your nerves.
50:37Theo:No, I'm okay, thank you. In goal, I've got Rift. I still don't know what to prove. Machieli, I've got Alderete as well. Yeah, yeah. From the same team. And then back four complete with Senesi and Calafiore. Zubimane in midfield. Back to the level that... I mean, he's overperforming this season because he's actually saved by the last year and we spoke about him already on the show. Casemiro, I think. It's not a bad shout out.
51:00Reev:Isn't it mad that we're saying Kasimir is now overperforming? It's actually not a bad shout out.
51:03Theo:What we view him as in the print. He's known as one of the best centre-fielders in the world. And in terms of goal contributions, I know his role is a little bit different this year and he's probably one of the best players in the league. Kai Saylo. He's got five goal contributions.
51:17Reev:His goal score now is overperforming,
51:19Theo:but mate, this bloke's like £110 million. He's one of the best centre-fielders
51:22Reev:in the league, in the world. Yeah, but from a... He should be playing this good.
51:27Theo:Yeah, I do kind of agree. Okay, I'll hold the other one then. I just thought because how many goals he's getting involved in.
51:32Reev:If we were doing like an XG over-performer, you may be able to... Where he is, XG merchants. Damn, they got me.
51:40Theo:Thiago up front as well, Semenyu, and then Jadon Anthony. I've got him as well. I thought he was shit. Yeah, I mean, he's definitely over-performing.
51:49Lewis Bowden:Mine's very similar. I'll leave him until last then because I think it might be quite funny. I can't remember who. I've put in goal Nick Pope. because I don't rate Nick Pope and I think he's I don't hate I almost put him in because he's I rate him but like he's been even better than usual I've gone very similar I've got just different Sunderland to you I've gone Trey Hewman right back he's up his level this season that one's for you Jamie
52:15Reev:he's having a conversation while he's doing I can't get over Pope over performing he is he's a good keeper no he's a good keeper but I think it's now Ramsdale's in he's got a bit of competition he's upped his levels this year massively massively he shot he's
52:27Lewis Bowden:he apples yeah I've got Trey Hume right back then I've gone Ballard centre half because again I thought he's a bit I didn't think he'd cope with the Premier League after watching him last year then Sanessi Calafiori my midfield's very different I have put one in that's kind of not really a midfielder but I've just wanted to fit him in first round I've gone Ethan Ampadu because I thought he'd get left out of the team this season whereas he's actually keeping Tanaka out who was the best player in the championship last season like he's been excellent for Leeds then I've gone with Tyler Adams at Bournemouth Yeah Like I just When he was Yeah when he was At Leeds I just thought He's alright But like he's just Been every week For Bournemouth There's a reason They're doing that
53:08Reev:I majorly agree With you on that one Yeah I do
53:10Lewis Bowden:And then I've gone With Chiesa In the 10 I know he's not a 10 Similar to the
53:15Reev:Moscares But I just think When he's come off
53:17Lewis Bowden:The bench He's been excellent
53:17Reev:Has he got as
53:19Theo:Much goal involvement As Creepy Junior Do you reckon Per 90
53:22Reev:Per 90
53:23Lewis Bowden:Nah he's not Who do they normally Do they normally sub Kiesa run for? Anyone? I know he's doing it. Can't remember. No, it's not usually either. Kiesa's three. It was Kiesa three as well. It was Kiesa three as well. During the last season about Kiesa,
53:40Reev:I was like, is he going to go, he's going to have one season and go again. But he's got, mate,
53:44Theo:how fucking good was he for Italy as well? Like before he signed two. He had a big injury though, didn't he?
53:49Lewis Bowden:Then my front three, I've gone with Jay and Anthony, Semenyo, and I've gone with Kruppi. I love Kruppi Mathematically He's amazing He's getting straight In my team
53:59Theo:Is that full Bournemouth names?
54:01Lewis Bowden:Makes sense Semenyo Kruppi Tyler Adamson I see ya Right Yeah I mean Okay This is the right answer Dubravka in goal He has been good He's a good keeper But like Even that save yesterday When he just caught it And trapped it Didn't spill back out That save So good Yeah Yeah but you do know He puts gorilla glue On his gloves That's allowed No you do That's actually a thing It's not a thing He does
54:26Reev:That can't be right
54:27Lewis Bowden:Yeah he does
54:28Reev:He can't do that But why don't you If he clapped his hands together And he's not stuck He did You know I've seen a game Last season when he
54:32Theo:He throws a bottle And it sticks to his hand What the fuck Or like when you Fake it out with your dog And you go And they go running off And he goes Still here Yeah no me neither
54:48Oh buddy That's classy Reeve that is This might surprise you I'll put Chow in there He came with mixed reviews When we signed him What, your centre half? Oh yeah, sorry No, yeah, I like that He came with mixed reviews Coming from Milan
55:01Theo:Leslie Chow Salam! Yeah It's funny because he's fat When he signed Apparently he was really inconsistent But he's been fucking unbelievable Yeah, he has been Unbelievable Wait, you've gone from goalie
55:14Reev:To centre back Just as you did I'm playing three centre backs Stop with the tapping I'm doing micro calf raises Stop. You mug him off, man. You mugged. Paul Torres up next. No. Fucking no.
55:26Theo:No, no, no. He's been rubbish. He's not. He's not been rubbish. Mate, you've watched a multi-view Sky Sports Super Sunday. He did well.
55:34Lewis Bowden:And that's the only game you've watched him play. He did well. He kept a clean sheet. He did well.
55:37Theo:He brought one off the line. Mate, most of the season he's been terrible.
55:41Lewis Bowden:The reason Villa are doing better now is they're attacking mine. Don't you remember the goal at Brentford when he's running in fucking custard trying to catch...
55:47Reev:Wait, so you think that Villa's turnaround is Paul Torres. I think he has a part of play Everyone has a part of play In the cog of the blue He's not overperforming He's professional You think he's shit That proves he's overperforming
55:59Theo:He's only played six out of the nine games In the Prem That's quite a lot of games Two thirds Two thirds of the games What are we trying to say He has to play every game Six out of nine is fine You'd hope they'd play every game That's fine I've also put Dan Ballard Because he's shit He's absolutely shit He's not shit Not how it works No no no
56:19Lewis Bowden:Let me finish He's absolutely Fucking shit But he's been Decent this season He's not man He's not shit Hey Dan Don't listen to this Fucking geek He started four games
56:28Reev:Really Do you not think
56:29Theo:Powell Torres is just Playing his level Powell Torres has started Four games He's started less than Half the game Yeah
56:35Lewis Bowden:It's not like he's Coming off the bench And making an impact He's usually been Getting dropped Because he's been Stinking the gap out
56:41Theo:He had a great game
56:41Lewis Bowden:Yesterday
56:42Theo:That's one game You watched him Clear it off the line You've gone fucking It mate Your recency bias He's insane Also he did not Reader clear it that well He did God Clearing top of the line Wasn't good enough for you Was it Theo? No I had to put Sunderplay in there To show that I am Recognising that They're third But Dan Ballard He's not shit He's not Premier League level He clearly is He's not They're five points ahead of you I didn't chuck it in his own net Against us I do think he would be But he is man They're literally five points And you're moaning How shit they are I'm going three midfielders Okay Sean Longstaff You're going three Three Four No it's five But I'm pushing the wingers up 3 what?
57:19So I'm going like a 3-3
57:21Theo:3-3-4 2-3
57:24Reev:3-3-2-3 That's 12 players Wait, have you got full backs? That's 12 players
57:28Theo:3-3-2-3 What is this full backs? That's plus a keeper That's 12 players 3-5-2 Jesus Christ Go on then Okay So instead of in I'm going to put Sean Longstaff He's been even better than I thought He's been like the catalyst for Leeds And I actually I did predict that All that L What's he got to do with me? Casemiro Is in there as well And I'll put in Kamada From a little old Crystal Palace Can we just rewind On this whole Casemiro thing?
57:56Lewis Bowden:What? Did you say Casemiro as well? Oh here we go He's going to go He has won five Champions League But he was 20 years ago Is he over-performing
58:03Reev:Or is he just back to his level? No because he's old mate Can I ask you a question? Oh god I hate He does that Stick with your opinion What's your opinion? Do you think he's Back to his best? Do you think this is his level? Do you think this is Real Madrid-Casemiro, by the way? No. What do you think?
58:17Theo:So that what we're doing then, yeah.
58:19Lewis Bowden:It's not actually his Real Madrid level. What do you think? So it's not his level then? Mate, a year and a half ago, if I'm saying he needs to get to Saudi, he's done, he's cooked at this level.
58:26Reev:I would say you could probably say he was underperforming before and now he's just back to Casemiro. Is that what you are saying? Is that what you are saying? Okay, that's fair enough. So I might add to 10 players now then. Okay, all right. Then on the wings, I'm going Maduweke. You are joking.
58:42Theo:Fucking what are we doing here? Well, Maduweke, by the way. He's injured. He's had like three games for Arsenal. I've seen enough to know that he's fucking up the bottom. He's injured. He's like long-term injured. He's down for the season. He's still going in. He's not even recorded a goal or assist. When he came in, he was far, far, far better a player than anyone expected. Has he done recently? That's not true.
59:03Lewis Bowden:That's not true. That's true. Yes, it is true. It was brilliant when he started. He was talking about his England performances. In general, as a player. He has not been over the ball. He's at a different level than what the Maduweka was we saw at Chelsea. No, he wasn't even shit at Chelsea, though. He wasn't bad at Chelsea. Hey, in your opinion. He wasn't bad at Chelsea, though. He's overperforming by not getting a goal or an assist. Oh, my God. Tom, let me introduce to something called the eye test, mate. Yeah, and you like to use it from time to time. Okay, so if he's overperforming, surely he'd get a goal or, like, create a goal.
59:35Lewis Bowden:It's England. We're not on about, this is a Premier League list, isn't it?
59:39Reev:Hey, I'm on your side here.
59:40Lewis Bowden:He hasn't over-performed. By the way, we didn't separate. You have to remember how Lewis's brain works. It's very like
59:47Reev:pigment or something. No, no, no. He's remembered at one point in the season, Madwick had about a three-week period of playing really well. Yeah. Okay. And now you've decided to put him in. He's injured. No, when he signed for Arsenal, I thought it was a very bad side. I didn't. In terms of, yeah, this is my list. It's not yours.
1:00:03Lewis Bowden:Because he scored a goal against Serbia, he's over-performed. He's actually got no contribution. I'll happily explain to you why. I'll happily explain to you why. When he signed, I thought it was not an ambitious signing. I thought it wasn't what you really needed. I thought you'd go a step further. You know, you were linked with the likes of Rodrigo. When he signed, he looked like he was far better and far more positive than what he was at Chelsea. And even Chelsea fans would admit that.
1:00:26Theo:Yeah, he's playing more freely and happier. That doesn't make him over-performing. He's not out for the season. He's performing better than what I expected. He'll be back late November. he's performing better than I expected so he's overperforming and he's only he's back in December that's not a bad shout Mason Mount Mason Mount he's back everyone thought he was finished especially that guy over there on the edge of the table slating him and he's proven you wrong
1:00:50Reev:but this is my yeah can't even get in the team there he is he starts at every game he's been getting in the team what are you talking about he's going to start the weekend one game he hasn't started he's Amarin's favourite player
1:01:00Lewis Bowden:so boy didn't he start the weekend he's been playing well he wanted to change the formation okay so if he's If he's Amarim's favourite player, he finally has to keep him in. Wait, I'm sorry. He doesn't start one game and all of a sudden he's like, oh, no, no, no. But he doesn't start again all the rest of the games he's played. He starts, like, their most important players start every week. Do you think Mason Mount was finished? He's too young to be finished. I still don't think he's good enough to play top level in the Premier League. Do you not think he's been playing better this season? Yeah, he's been a lot better this season.
1:01:24Lewis Bowden:So over-performing. No, is he not back to his Chelsea days, though? It depends what level you think. This is my point. He's been playing a lot better this season. so he's been overperforming the levels he's been setting in previous seasons that is overperforming how is this how is this confusing do you think he's just bad news
1:01:38Theo:oh you're gaslighting us now I'm not gaslighting you I'm laying out
1:01:41Reev:what overpowering is I think Malt being quality this year but I think he's just back to his level same with Casemiro yeah I think they're just back to their level Casemiro was different he's been Malt hasn't been at this level for quite a few seasons now mate it's like at a certain point you can't be like if Sancho suddenly starts playing really well now you can't be like he's back to his level he's dropped his level for long enough now. We didn't even mention Sancho getting subbed on enough. That was brutal. Yeah, but that was a tactical thing to take him off again. Nah, he's wank. Then up front, I've got Thiago, you've got Thiago, and right, this one, don't shout at me.
1:02:12No, just let me... Don't say Volta Marder. Let me... I'm not going to say Volta Marder. That's definitely his level. I'm putting Yicarez.
1:02:18Lewis Bowden:I think Volta Marder would be fair. Yicarez is over-performing. I've put Yicarez. He scored five goals, and my personal opinion of him is that is over-performing from his level. I'm not trying to get by I don't think he's that good
1:02:33Theo:You think the guy that got the Gerd Muller trophy And scored the most goals last season out of all of Europe Scoring five goals is overperforming I think he's very fortunate You're saying the guy The highest scoring striker last season But scoring five goals this year Is overperforming Doesn't make any sense I would love to explain quickly
1:02:56Lewis Bowden:Because it's like someone could score 100 goals for fucking hashtag United, but if they do it in the top league, then you're like, it's impressive. Arsenal fans are immune to like noticing the fact that he was like, they just look at this Gerg Muller thing and then they just, and then they forget about the fact that he's playing with, in what division was he playing? At what level was he playing? Cammy's league scoring against Man City. Yeah, but he's scored so many penalties. This is the first game. Bas Doss used to score every week for Sport in Lisbon. If we're going to talk about this, you can't put blinders on.
1:03:21Lewis Bowden:You can't just put your blinders on. No, I don't know, but what do you think that, what, Why are you defending him? This is the weird thing because you two are putting your blinders on like you're a home. I understand the back. What league was he scoring in? No, no. Tom's not playing blinders on. I understand where he's come. I understand his angle but I don't agree with him. Against European teams.
1:03:38Reev:No one agrees with you here at this table. He actually had a point. I haven't actually been able to explain my point yet because you just put blinders on and talking about Jürg Muller and all this shit. Those two goals he scored in the Champions League where he's fucking almost tripped over the ball. he's very very lucky to be getting those he's very lucky to be getting those the amount of goals he's got this season is not a reflection of his actual true ability is like
1:04:03Theo:well no before he scored two against Atletico Madrid you were saying now he's not scored in nine games so now he's over performance he's got two against someone midweek exactly because on the face of it those goals look great when you look at those goals you can't say they were great
1:04:14Reev:you just said they were lucky are they lucky or they're great we saw it's Arvid again you didn't listen I said on the face of it Theo they look great and then I went to explain if you watch them they're shit but then you just Don't listen.
1:04:24Lewis Bowden:Yes, I think it was great. On the face of it, it looks great. It has the numbers, but he's stuck by it. All right. You just don't understand it. Why are you red?
1:04:34Theo:Genuine question and bias aside, how many goals do you expect Jokras to be on at this point? I didn't think he break double figures this season. No, no, no. I'm saying right now, for how many games into the season we are, how many would you expect him to be on? Two. Okay, right. Two. Arsenal strike. Oh my God. Oh my.
1:04:51Lewis Bowden:Guys, can I explain? Can I please? Can we lay this out? Lay this out. You're mean. He's not good enough. And he's over... Those numbers flatter him. And he's going to get flattered all season. He's going to get flattered all season because he's playing in this Arsenal team. He's going to get flattered all season because he's playing in this Arsenal team who are going to pick up more goals. And if he was at Brighton, mate,
1:05:12Reev:honestly, he wouldn't get double digits. He's actually better for our team. He allows other players to get involved in the game. Yeah, he enables space to people, doesn't he? He doesn't think he'll play well at all, really. if I'm honest, mate. He can barely, he trips over the fucking ball. He almost tripped over the ball in the six yard box when he scored the Champions League. This is what I mean. But then I'll get,
1:05:30Lewis Bowden:people throw out Jörg Muller at me. Jörg? Why are we taking you seriously? You call him Jörg Muller? They're talking about fucking yoghurt. I don't want your yoghurt, all right? Who is Jörg Muller? But like, it's crazy. It's such a tip. If we actually look at his performances in the Premier League, he's not, those goals flatter him. Who do you think, what teams he's level in the Premier League? Is it in the Premier League? Fulham. Actually, and by the way, I'm not trying to rattle. I'm watching and he is a Fulham player. He's better than Jimenez. Also, up until the two guys he's... Sorry, no, no, no, do you think Jimenez gets more...
1:06:07Jimenez. Jimenez cricket. Do you think Jimenez cricket gets more goals in Arsenal's team? I actually think Jimenez gets more goals than Arsenal. He's only got three. More goals than Arsenal now.
1:06:20Theo:He's got three in the Prem. I think... Why are you talking about that? I think Jimenez holds the balls are better. Your link player better. Can I rewind a second?
1:06:27Reev:Up until he scored two against the Letka, you were saying how shit he's been all season. I'm saying he's still shit. I'm saying the amount of goals that's flattered him. He's overperforming by scoring goals. According to you, how shit he's been this season is still better than you thought how shit he was. No, you're not listening to what he's saying. This is why I get annoyed, because he just doesn't understand. He's saying he should have way less goals.
1:06:45Lewis Bowden:He thinks Jokka is his dog shit, so he expects him to score no goal. The fact he's got five, he's overperforming. massively overperforming.
1:06:53Theo:It's a horrendous agenda. But also you said... It's a hilarious agenda. But also you said... Can you please type in Arsenal Champions League their last fixture. Can we just look at the... It's not part of the Prem though. It's an overperforming Premier League 11. No, it didn't specify. It's overperforming 11. And it is relevant. It is relevant. If you look at these two goals on the face of it it's like wow. We've watched it live on the screen. So surely you understand what I mean? Because he almost tripped over the fucking ball. No, but he's got three goals in the Premier League. You've said he should have two.
1:07:20Theo:He scored one extra goal and suddenly he runs around he literally runs around the football pitch we don't need to see it he runs around the football pitch like he's got skis on I swear to God he'd be faster in skis he's got fucking on grass he's got a point though alright he's got like flippers on his feet Jimenez
1:07:37Lewis Bowden:Jimenez might have been the signing no genuinely genuinely this isn't even like is Yucarez any better than Jimenez mate I'm taking Jimenez I am being completely serious I think Jimenez Oh, no. You are so... By the way, Jimenez is a better player than Jokeres. I'll fucking say that now. He actually...
1:07:57Theo:He really, really... Yeah, you're appeasing the Mexicans, mate. Fuck the Mexican. I'm going to win a little... I love you, Michael.
1:08:04Reev:It's because he's scared, mate. What happened? He got attacked. What are you trying to show me here? I'm just curious, actually, looking at how... How many goals Jimenez has got? 12 goals last year. Right, well, of Jokeres was in the league. This season. What have you done this year? He's got one. Yeah, but you have to look at the team he's playing in. you have to look at the team right fourth bottom again why are you going oh when we're comparing someone playing in a Fulham team who are fourth bottom to the team who are top of the league and you're going oh as if that's not a relevant point this player scored 12 goals in a Fulham team and how many Jokeres got in the league three so he's only got two more he's got three times more by the way like you you're so busy thinking that this is a lineup that you're not actually seeing the facts that are ahead of you
1:08:45Theo:I get what you're trying to do but you think Jokeres just reeks of piss so that's not like no but like you think he's so shit yeah yeah yeah
1:08:53Reev:do you think do you think there's a difference in being a striker for Fulham and Arsenal well yeah okay thank you there's a reason so we can get rid of that whole but Luke do you not think there's a reason he's paying for Arsenal absolutely yeah there's a reason well the Jörg Muller trophy
1:09:06Lewis Bowden:apparently are you taking up for Arsenal Jokeres or Isidore Jokeres I heard something I'm taking Isidore I honestly I do not see What yous are seeing Yonker is a lot of Because just One interesting thing is Arsenal fans are saying The way he links him Playing and brings Other players in I haven't even seen him Do that very well I haven't seen him do that He doesn't even do that Yeah Not very well Not to the level That we're talking about No no no
1:09:40Theo:But you just said He's over performance Clearly he's doing it alright He's doing it too well He's stat padded Two tappings Where he almost tripped I can see all this. It's funny enough, but genuinely, I find it a bit confusing why you laugh at him and his popularity. I find it really interesting that you've said he's the biggest bag of shit you've ever seen up front for Arsenal and yet he's still overperforming. Because he's managed to score goals.
1:10:02Reev:So it's only about goals, not about how you play.
1:10:05Lewis Bowden:He plays shit. What are we talking about? He's overperforming his goal return, he's saying.
1:10:10Reev:So you actually agree with Reeves' Caicedo point then?
1:10:13Lewis Bowden:Yeah. Because Kayser is not judged on goals. This is annoying because you spent so much time... That should be really... That's literally what he said. I didn't even comment on his Kayser thing. You spent so much time trying to take my argument and apply it to one of yours. Just focus on this argument here. He doesn't... Focus on this argument here of Jokerez. And as a player, he doesn't think a player very well. He doesn't think a player better than Jimenez. He's not a bigger... He's not a bigger sort of figure in that... Creating like fucking a bit of discourse in that front line. A bit of discourse.
1:10:42Theo:What is he chatting to the centre-backs? Yeah, he's not fucking chatting to centre-backs enough. How many more goals do you think Jokre scores than if Jimenez is in your team this season? Right now. No, no, no. Just this season. No more.
1:10:56Lewis Bowden:He doesn't score more than Jimenez. No way. No, genuine question. Genuine question. How many goals does Jokre score? How many goals would Jimenez score? What are we doing right now?
1:11:04Theo:Jokre scores obviously five, because that's what he's on, and Jimenez scores three. No, no, this is the thing. You see, you're trying to make it into a joke. It's a genuine, genuine thing. but what are we doing him there's not going to play for Arsenal how many goals do you think Jokic scores this season 20 15 surely you're taking
1:11:18Lewis Bowden:well back 2015 how many does Jimenez score for Arsenal this season if he was in that team
1:11:23Reev:he's not playing for Arsenal if he's playing for Arsenal hypothetically Theo I don't know 10 yeah 18 20 he scores less than what he did okay so he scores less than what he did in a Fulham team last year
1:11:33Theo:let's appease your theory 75 goals you just can't take the argument seriously because there's actual logic in it he's saying he's over You're saying he's going to score less goals than he did in a Fulham team. So it's like, I don't know what we're doing. Yeah, because Arsenal spread their goals around the team.
1:11:48Reev:That's why. Because the striker can't put it in the net.
1:11:51Lewis Bowden:Right. He'd be good from those corners, though, him and his. Yeah, they love them, don't they? Just little tappings here.
1:11:59Theo:Right, anyway, moving on, guys. Recently, Jason Cundey and Jamie Horr sparked out.
1:12:04Lewis Bowden:Ah, has anyone seen?
1:12:06Theo:Saying they thought Arteta is not a top 10 manager in the world. Apparently it's too early, according to Jason Cundey, to put Arteta in the top 10 category.
1:12:15Reev:But do you agree?
1:12:16Theo:We do very, very well.
1:12:17Reev:I'm surprised by this coming from TalkSport. I don't think we have it.
1:12:20Theo:Oh, he can't talk. Yeah, so we're going to do our top 10 managers currently in the world, guys. And obviously internationals apply as well. Cool.
1:12:28Lewis Bowden:I'm going to go first this time. Go on, Thomas.
1:12:31Reev:Right. Where is it? Okay. Are you doing currently or just like a mixture? A bit of a mix. A bit of a mix. That's completely fair to do. Because I think... You've got to take Nick Cousy Biles. I think what I've done is,
1:12:42Lewis Bowden:I think if I was a manager of, sorry, if I was an owner of a club right now,
1:12:46Reev:who would be my list to pick? I like that a lot. In 10th,
1:12:51Lewis Bowden:Antonio Conte. Oh. Interesting, very interesting. I have him higher, but I don't know if I'm... Just won the league title with Napoli. But then it is also... Is he getting fired? It is also falling apart a bit. But this is Conte. Conte's Conte. Conte comes in, wins the league, fucks shit up, and then he leaves. It's kind of how he... I forgot him. What? I forgot Conte as well. I know, it's fair enough. Number nine, I've gone with Nagelsmann. I do think he's slightly overrated. Where is he at? I don't know. He's the Germany manager. Oh, my God. I don't even have him.
1:13:21Reev:I think you're right on the overrated thing with Nagelsmann.
1:13:24Lewis Bowden:Yeah, but he did do a good job at the point. Eighth. Don't want to say it. Eddie Howe.
1:13:30Reev:I don't want to say it.
1:13:31Lewis Bowden:Eddie Howe. No. You're going to say him? Who? Mikael. No. Oh. No, he's way higher, obviously. Oh. He's going to win the league, mate. Emery. I've got him I know but I don't want to say him do I
1:13:43Theo:he's got to be in a top ten because he's a Villa bastard
1:13:44Reev:alright 7th think about Emery I know he's just proven it other than Arsenal he's just proven it everywhere and how good is he in competitions yeah well there's a track record what like the go ahead Eagles yeah good one
1:13:57Lewis Bowden:7th Tuchel yep 6th have I forgotten
1:14:02Theo:Premier League manager I don't think I have I'm scared I might have well this is interesting because we all agreed unanimously the other day that Emery slot on Pep the top three so it'd be oh no yes I'm fine I didn't agree with that when we did the tier list I've never no I don't I never agree you put a fucking Arteta in CT yeah I didn't agree Emery's better than hell okay right ready sixth Simeone
1:14:26Reev:do you because of historically I'm thinking I'm thinking fraud watch no man I actually agree man he's on one lead top he monopolised this club look what Jokras did to him yeah monopolised this team and like I mean, do you know what? If Jokeres has beaten him That's what I mean That's what I mean, bro Fucking hell I just think I can see your point
1:14:51Lewis Bowden:He's doing a good job He has spent a lot of money But then he has also Kind of transformed Atleti To be like A consistent Champions League They could be way better Without him though
1:14:59Reev:Let me ask you this Could they? Let me ask you this Like Right now At West Brom Would you take Simeone or Iriola? Oh yeah That's a specific situation now.
1:15:09Lewis Bowden:That's such a different...
1:15:11Theo:I know, that's my point though. But he probably wouldn't take Simioli because he wouldn't want to watch that kind of West Brom.
1:15:17Reev:Who would you take right now? West Brom's a different story.
1:15:22Lewis Bowden:We're talking about the best manager in the world. The best manager in the world, don't relate. If you own a club,
1:15:27Theo:because West Brom's different, there's actual sentiment there. I'm about if I was managing Real Madrid or something. It's an interesting one though.
1:15:37Lewis Bowden:Not really. I think Simeone's far more proven at the top level than Ireiola. Yeah, fair, fair. Simeone's on fraud, watch me. Yeah, Simeone. Fifth, I've got Inzaghi. Oh. I know they've been bad this season, but like, come on, he's consistently done it for Intel. You've got Eddie Halha here. I've missed a few names. Fourth, I've got Ancelotti. Fucking hell. Yeah, because I think, like, and he's last... Look, it's Don Carlo, man. He's last reign at... He's been higher. He's last reign at Madrid, kind of when he's sour towards the end. He's still Ancelotti.
1:16:06Theo:Yeah, but there's a little... He's Ancelotti. he's Don Carlo international attacks a little bit as well though isn't it the three ahead of him like he's kind of just put his feet up now to do internationals
1:16:14Lewis Bowden:third Earthlick Hansi second Enrico and first Pep no what
1:16:23Theo:Xabi Alonso no Eddie Howe it's Mikel Arteta no it's not best manager in the world so you don't think
1:16:31Lewis Bowden:Xabi Alonso's in the top no not yet really he should prove it he has proven it He had one good season at Boyer and then it fell apart last season. Do you not think there's a situation where... Do you not think there's a situation where... He started okay at Ramadur. Do you not think there's a situation where it's like how good you are in the current state of the game? Because if you're going off just history, then you can start like... Jose isn't at his sort of level, so obviously that's exaggerating, but Jose was at that peak and then you can see he's won all this stuff. Nowadays, he wouldn't be anywhere near that.
1:16:58Lewis Bowden:But that's why I've got Ancelotti fourth and Enrique second, because Enrique's still doing it and he's historically doing it. You know with Arteta,
1:17:04Reev:obviously he hasn't... you could say he's not proven in terms of like titles, but as a manager, do you not see why he could be in the top 10?
1:17:12Lewis Bowden:No, I could see why you'd put him in, but I wouldn't have him over any of these because they've all proven it and done it. But like right now,
1:17:18Reev:would you take,
1:17:19Theo:who'd you take? Kante. To be unbiased, I think he actually has to get across the line. Gotta do it, man. Yeah, no,
1:17:26Reev:I completely see that point. By the logic that he wants, by the logic that he wants, he wants to get a manager at a club and go, all right, well, if I appoint him, he's probably going to win something. Do you think every... I think, I would go as far as saying any club in world football right now would come after him if there was a vacancy. I don't think that's true. What, after a dog, like?
1:17:46Lewis Bowden:What's he going to bring? Real Madrid wouldn't be in for Arteta, would they? They tend to hire managers who've won.
1:17:53Theo:Can I... I mean, I'm going to go through my list anyway, but you got inside quite high there. Do you not think him going Al-Hilal is like a little bit devaluing?
1:18:03Lewis Bowden:Yeah, probably. but I just think the job he's done the last few years at Inter was so good what are you giggling at alright
1:18:12Theo:Kyle weird for his list number 10 I've got Emery number 9 I've got Nzaghi only for the reasons that I've been that is fair
1:18:20Lewis Bowden:who's got 10 sorry Nzaghi Emery
1:18:22Theo:oh sorry
1:18:24Lewis Bowden:it's very fair I just think like like
1:18:27Theo:if you take a job in Saudi you kind of like yeah but them get like the job he's done
1:18:32Lewis Bowden:with that Inter team
1:18:33Theo:I think
1:18:33Lewis Bowden:who was so like I fully agree. Player for player, compared to the rest of Europe. He'll come back to Europe. Yeah, I just think he's gone for money, hasn't he? He's clearly just won. He's got that coin. Amen, man. Getting the coin, coin, coin.
1:18:45Theo:Eight on a slot. Seven, Antonio Conte.
1:18:49Lewis Bowden:Can I just say about slot, I just think, I know he's amazing last year and stuff, but like... And Holland. It's a bit early, isn't it? Is it not a bit early? That's why I can't put him higher. I was between him and Conte for 10th.
1:19:03Theo:But, yeah. I mean there's similar names on there was he lucky last season nah yeah well mate he's on broad watch right now I think well he's worse than Brendan Rodgers at the moment as a manager well he's lost five in a row with Liverpool after spending$400 million did Brendan Rodgers win the Premier League with Liverpool then how's that is that transfer doing Slough good judgment as a manager that he needed that sorry to interject there oh nice prior to the start of the season where would we have slots
1:19:30Lewis Bowden:I think he'd have been in that 8 to 10 yeah but I just think oh we may be last year you never know there's a bit of doubt isn't there you don't know it's a fast change
1:19:40Theo:in landscape it is it's football mate it's fickle 6 Tommy T 5 I genuinely am surprised you haven't included him Javi Lanzo I just think
1:19:50Lewis Bowden:there's a reason
1:19:51Theo:he's at Madrid right
1:19:52Lewis Bowden:yeah he's brilliant yeah but Madrid also they've hired some stinkers in the past as well he's doing a good job so far he's doing very well invincible he just beat Barcelona yeah but we're 9 games in Theo I'm not going to put someone in he's the invincible He had an amazing season at Bayer Leverkusen in my opinion a substandard league then the following year was poor Yeah yeah but to beat Bayern in that league and be invincible that's like a huge achievement he did a great job but we're talking about
1:20:16Theo:Yeah Good job Slot Slot you're doing well
1:20:21Lewis Bowden:But we're talking about the elite of the elite I think unless if he goes and wins the title at Madrid this season 100 % I'd put him in I think he will I recommend him I think he will 100 % I still think Barca will do it Let's take a bet I'm alright thanks stop
1:20:34Theo:fourth I've got Ancelotti I mean there's an argument for like top three top two but I think just like the moment you cash out and go to international duty it's a little bit like he's putting his feet up a bit yeah not as competitive that's why he's not high as well three Hansi Flick two Luis Enrique and one Pep Guardiola damn no Arteta no Arteta damn well done he has to next year when we do this we go top ten again he's on the double who wants to be who wants to be who wants to be who wants to be It's first. No. Top five. Top five. Okay, my list. In 10th, I have Diego Simeone. In 9th, I have Emery.
1:21:128th, Eddie Howe. You think Eddie Howe's a better manager than Emery? Fucking hell! Why? Simeone and Emery? I do. Are you serious? Yeah. I already said Simeone is on Trollwatch. I don't think we need to redo the Howe argument again, but it is nice. No, let's do it. I feel like we're really bored because it's always the same argument. I can't talk.
1:21:31Reev:I write the agenda. It's always... you can't have above Emery though it's not in a general I do like if you ask me right now who am I taking Emery or how I take how like that's
1:21:39Lewis Bowden:but then obviously I'm going to say yeah that's I understand who's reasonable but like hey Leo I'm on your side but also the team each of them took over the teams Aston Villa and Newcastle are very similar in how it's been and we've had the Champions League twice in a trophy so it's like I know Emery's won more in the past but like two Champions League in a trophy and we were in a very similar situation spent similar amounts so three points behind two Champions League yeah what wins two Champions League qualifications yeah that is literally well that's what you celebrate every year isn't it oh we don't celebrate we expect seventh Alonso sixth Hansi Flick I'm doing calf raises that's not that's very low for Hansi Flick yeah Hansi Flick Hansi Flick off mate because Tuchel's fifth and he's going to go third when we win the World Cup you'll go first obviously
1:22:30Theo:He'd be the best manager of all time, mate, if we win the World Cup. Yeah, but he isn't the mighty treble winner, though, is he? Inzaghi, fourth. Ancelotti, third. Luis Enrique, second. And Guardiola, first. And I did, out of interest, like, go down because I was thinking, where would I put Arteta? And I think I would have went... 35th. I think I would have went Irola, Glasner, and then Arteta, and joint with, like, Frank. So Arteta would have been, like, 13th, 14th in my list. Actually, no. Actually, no, no. Sorry, sorry, sorry. No, sorry, I would have had slot. I would have had slot there. So Artek would have been like 15th, in my opinion.
1:23:06When he gets over the line,
1:23:07Theo:that's what elevates you a lot higher. 15th best manager in the world is very good.
1:23:12Reev:Yeah, he hasn't got over the line, but you can see, can't you? Yeah, but to be honest, you can. We can only go on the facts, mate.
1:23:17Theo:We've been in this position before, mate. You agree with me. You're a smart man. I've seen Glasner come in and win a trophy. I think he's built the best team in Europe currently. Does that not count for anything? So he better win then, hadn't he? but
1:23:29Lewis Bowden:he'd better start winning if he's got the best game so it's only about the result
1:23:31Reev:not about the journey
1:23:32Theo:I actually think of course it is of course it is of course it is if you're appointing a manager for a brand new club like Tom said you want to know there's a track record there of if they get appointed they're going to win
1:23:42Lewis Bowden:that isn't what I meant I meant if I was the owner of like just the best team in Europe who would I pick I'm not I actually think it's a big compliment to rank him 15 just purely off the basis of him of how he's built the club I think that's actually a compliment like you haven't won anything I still can't was the 15th best. I'm not even trying to take a dig, but I think that's a compliment. Sorry, they did win that FA Cup, don't forget. Oh, yeah.
1:24:06Reev:And we won Champions League every year as well. Is he better than Glasner? Well, you want to hear my list? Yeah, I'm so excited for this. In 10, I got Simeone. In 9, I got Irreola. Fuck you.
1:24:19Lewis Bowden:Irreola over Simeone? Right now, yeah. Yeah, I would.
1:24:23Reev:I think he's bloody fantastic. He is good.
1:24:25Lewis Bowden:Yeah, he's done a good job.
1:24:26Reev:I didn't even have a mid-table
1:24:27Lewis Bowden:Premier League.
1:24:27Reev:Well, listen to this In eight Got Gladsner Jesus Have we seen me own it? Well, currently, yeah I am Actually He's proving it How come these are all Better than Eddie Howe? I'm curious Is that an agenda? We don't know yet
1:24:42Theo:Eddie Howe might be fifth Oh yeah, my bad Yeah, might be He might have gone higher
1:24:45Reev:Bigger budget, Eddie Howe Eddie Howe and E No, that's actually not really Seven, I got Arteta Six, I got Emre
1:24:54Theo:Is this a Premier League list?
1:24:56Reev:Well, Simeone's not In the Premier League This is fucking mental. Fifth, I got Alonso. Fourth, Hunty Flick. Third, Luis Enrique. Second, Ancelotti. First, Pep Guardiola.
1:25:09Theo:Wow, you think Slott's currently out of the top behind all of the others? Yeah. Fair fucking play, mate. You do what you want to do, man. So, yeah, we need to break down some stuff. Let's start with Arteta Slott. Did you forget Conte out of interest? I forgot Conte. Okay, yeah, that's good.
1:25:22Lewis Bowden:Let's start with Arteta Slott. So you would get a man from Simeone out for Conte?
1:25:27Theo:probably or just drop people lower a bit I don't know
1:25:30Reev:I'd have to rethink about that one Tom do you think Arteta is a better manager than Slott as a manager I actually do I actually do as a manager I feel like I'm on EF TV because you can make a case that please make the case don't get me wrong Slott came in and did a brilliant job won the Premier League yeah which is obviously fantastic but you can make it was Klopp's squad he just didn't touch it yeah but is that not more impressive and now look no I think No, 100%, but now you look at what he's doing at Liverpool now, creating his own squad, and it's also very soon. He hasn't taken like eight years to sort of build up to win in the Premier League.
1:26:06He just did it straight away. There was no foreplay.
1:26:08Lewis Bowden:So like, we don't want to just ejaculate straight away. I want to enjoy it. I understand your point. I'm trying to come from just like an...
1:26:15Reev:That is crazy. Don't even get me started on Glasdor and Areola over Eddie Al. Why do you always get so rattled and angry all the time?
1:26:23Theo:I'm talking in a nice, calm voice.
1:26:26Reev:and trying to explain my reason, your veins popping out again. Yeah, that's the show, brother. Yeah, that's what we do, mate. When you have a bad list, I'm going to get annoyed at your bad list. Look, you can say I'm wrong. You call me crazy, right? You're crazy. And I understand. I completely get your point about you need to win a trophy to prove it. I get that. But I think there's also a case you have to look at what they are doing with a club and building a club. I think that's completely fair to say. In my opinion. And if you think I'm wrong, that's completely up to you. When you say you completely get our point about winning a trophy, do you because you keep like this list doesn't show you get the point yes it does if you got the point there's no world you would have put Arteta above fucking Slot Slot has achieved more than Arteta in one season with someone else's team how on earth is Arteta a better manager but not even that I would still choose Arteta over Slot
1:27:15Lewis Bowden:yeah but that's out of pure loyalty to Arteta and just because he's improved your club like just objectively speaking, Slot has achieved far more than Arteta has proven he's a better manager as he stands. Okay, so what about when we're on about building a club and you love building a club, so why then is Arteta above, say, Eddie Howe in that? That's a good point. Yeah. Because Eddie Howe's actually
1:27:43Theo:below. That's actually a very good point. Arteta, Glasner, Iriola and Simeone. Eddie Howe, who has built a project, two-time Champions League, which is great for Newcastle and also two-time Champions League as well. Again, relative to expectations, Theo, and building a project, that is proof. Where are you now? Why are you getting so angry? Your brain's popping out.
1:28:02Lewis Bowden:Listen, when I talk about building a project, Newcastle getting in the Champions League consistently is proof of building the contract. Yeah, no, but so why is he below our tier?
1:28:11Reev:I don't think either. Because Arsenal have consistently pushed.
1:28:14Theo:I'm sure. I know they haven't got over the line
1:28:16Reev:and I get your point and all that, but they've consistently pushed the Premier League and sitting in second position three years in a row is better than what Newcastle. No, no, but Atta is built up. Maybe it's relative, isn't it? It's relative. Yeah, that's why I've got Iriola and Glasner in.
1:28:28Lewis Bowden:So why is not Iriola?
1:28:29Reev:How are they ahead of Eddie Howe, though? That's my purpose.
1:28:32Lewis Bowden:You can't put Iriola ahead of Eddie Howe, surely. Just based off what they've done for their clubs.
1:28:36Reev:I just look at Iriola now, what he's doing with Bournemouth. I think he's going to achieve bigger things outside of Bournemouth. Whereas Eddie Howe, I don't know if he's going to go higher than Newcastle. So you weren't impressed by winning the Tour League? Surely that's a fair point to say.
1:28:50Theo:Your list is also partially off projections. he said yes
1:28:53Reev:you said no yeah I'll happily explain so you're not impressed by the fact you don't think Eddie Howe is going to go on to bigger and better stuff even by winning no I am impressed by Eddie Howe I'm not saying I'm not however long the trophy drought was for you I think you're getting confused I'm not saying Eddie Howe is not a bad manager I think he's a fantastic manager I'm trying to respond to what you said I'll put him in 11th I'm trying to respond to what you said you're on about Irola and how he's going to go on and do all this stuff Eddie Howe has already started doing and is doing that stuff are you not impressed by how he won the league table are you knocking out Forrest who were on it at the time Chelsea the cup what do you mean he won the league table what do you mean by that let's go back to actually the point knocking out Forrest who were on grade point listen because I'd love
1:29:31Lewis Bowden:for you to respond to it I'd love for you to respond to it Forrest who were on grade form Chelsea who were good at the time knocking out Arsenal on the way and then beating the champions of the league that year Liverpool to the trophy but that's not enough to warrant them to be above Simeone Simeone Arola Glasner or Ateta did everyone else have any
1:29:49Reev:Howe in their top 10? No. There's his consistency.
1:29:52Theo:There's his consistency because you're about building a project. I think Eddie Howe is better than Simeone. I think he's better than Arteta.
1:29:58Lewis Bowden:I think what Simeone's achieved though has to Would you say Eddie Howe's better than Arteta? I think so, yeah. Would you say he's, I don't know how Iriola's getting ahead of Eddie Howe. I think Iriola and Klasner's crazier. It doesn't make sense. Really? Over Eddie Howe.
1:30:10Reev:No, I think Eddie Howe's If you're talking about building projects,
1:30:12Lewis Bowden:although we take the piss out of him, they were relegation
1:30:19Reev:rate Eddie Howe. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You're getting confused. Your argument isn't consistent with what you're, like what you're saying, it doesn't match up with your list. You're saying building a project.
1:30:27Lewis Bowden:You're saying, you're saying you're taking into account the winning things, et cetera.
1:30:31Reev:And everything else as well. And I understand why.
1:30:33Lewis Bowden:What's everything else? No, you said you take into account the winning things, but you also love the fact of what Arteta has built, et cetera. Whereas Eddie Howe has done relative. He's done both. Relative to Newcastle, yeah, has done both. Like he's, he's built the project, got them now into like a consistent challenging for top four or Champions League every season and even qualifying for it twice after being relegation fodder or threatened relegation I know they've had all the injection of one he called then he's also gone and won the trophy beating some of the best teams in the country like over two legs as well some of them so like proven he can get over the line with a worse team than Arsenal whereas Arteta still hasn't proved he can do by the way in less time starting with the worst squad and we say the money thing we went two seasons without signing a first team player and having to sell, selling Minter, selling Elliot Anderson, having no death because of financial fair play.
1:31:21All of that in less time with a trophy and Champions League. But yet Arteta is there because he's building something you enjoy over a longer period of time. You just got mogged.
1:31:29Reev:But I think Arteta's also doing it on the biggest stage. He's beating the biggest teams in the Champions League. We're in a big stage. We bought a trophy and we're in the Champions League. We're on the same stage. I'd have held it for next year to be fair. We're in the Champions League as well. We can gloat next year. Come on, I'm not doing anything really. We're doing great in the Champions League right now. we're in what about last year no no how are we doing in the Champions League we're 6th currently how did you do last year we weren't in last year and how did you do what's your argument semi-finals Theo this would be going so much smoother if you admit you're wrong honestly because it's so clear that you are I'll give you Eddie Howe over Simeone no you give me Eddie Howe over I would have had him anyway yeah
1:32:05Lewis Bowden:by the way you need to get Arteta out of there it's mental I do think yeah it's just don't get me wrong if he's on the way if you do if you mate if you win a Premier League title which I think you will and you're probably winning another trophy.
1:32:17Reev:But what, he jumps from 15th to suddenly where? Top five, six, seven, 100%. It does, mate.
1:32:23Lewis Bowden:It makes a difference, mate, getting over the line. Makes a massive difference. Because then, all this project that you all keep talking about, now you can go, there you go. That was what it was leading to. But at the minute, all we're hearing is project, project, project, bottle, bottle, bottle. We can't get over the line every fucking year, no matter who drops out. The Mighty Man City are not themselves. We still can't win the league. now if you finally do it then you can go there you go but right now you can't it's just it's just like you should have won the League Cup last year you had two legs against Newcastle a team you're far better than and you got they patted you on the air they didn't score but this is can you not see the frustration because they don't it's fine to leave Eddie Howell but your argument doesn't match up with your list and you can say oh who cares about the League Cup yous care about the League Cup yous would have loved to have won that and you got knocked out by the team and the manager over two legs who you see isn't better than Arteta it doesn't make sense and never mind it's one of them once though isn't it
1:33:20Reev:you know what I mean
1:33:23Lewis Bowden:you've mogged him
1:33:23Reev:yeah he's been mogged guys mogging the chat yeah I actually think Glasnett Iriola is above Arteta if we're talking about building project I think it's much harder no you can't have Iriola
1:33:34Lewis Bowden:over Arteta no come on Lee I do think this is mate you said that you believe Argen Iriola's done a good job at Bournemouth right but like come on I think we're getting a bit over the top here with Iriola just because they're second at the minute. He's done a great job, no doubt, but it's such a different level managing Bournemouth than Arsenal. What about Glasner then? If he has a trophy to his name... Yeah, Glasner as well has done a great job at Crystal Palace, but it's also a lot... It is also relative to expectations. I think Glasner's probably a fair argument because he won at Frankfurt as well, so I think he's a proven winner.
1:34:08Lewis Bowden:That's a very fair argument. Iriola, we can't be arguing Iriola.
1:34:13Reev:I don't think. Do you think, but I make the case of, I think. Or Eddie Howe, like the crazy over Eddie Howe. At the end of the season,
1:34:18Lewis Bowden:Iriola's going to have clubs after him. Yeah, possibly, but that doesn't make. I think big clubs. But the only reason clubs don't come in for Eddie Howe, probably, is because he wouldn't leave. Like, everyone wanted him for the England job.
1:34:30Reev:he's leaving.
1:34:32Lewis Bowden:Come on, Tom. Yeah, probably. Do you know what I mean? I'm confused. You think Barcelona are going in for Iriola? Why would you judge your list whether teams are going to choose that manager? That, like, That's exactly what his list is. That's not how you should choose a list. It's not totally... What he means is
1:34:49Theo:you're projecting as to how good their career is going to be as opposed to what you want to pick. Where their careers are going to go. And you're then using that as information to keep them out of... I'll tell you one fact.
1:34:59Reev:Arsenal win the Premier League and Champions League. Oh, you don't help yourself, do you?
1:35:03Theo:It's happening. You're right, we'll see, won't we? Yeah, we will. Yeah, we will. When it happens, that list is going to look good, mate. I'll tell you what, if he does that,
1:35:10Lewis Bowden:He's 100 % top five minimum. Top three. Possibly, yeah. If Arteta goes and wins a Premier League and a Champions League, a double like that, he's arguably one of the best managers in the world, let alone top five. We have no issues giving you that and saying, do you know what? You were right all along. And we'll get winning. But all we can do, all we can do is go off what's happened and what is... I completely get what you're saying. I can't project what's going to happen at the end of the season. Even though you have already won the Premier League and it's done and it's over. and if you did not win it it would be the biggest
1:35:42Reev:so that's one of them it would be the biggest
1:35:44Lewis Bowden:bottle of all time
1:35:45Reev:but we've already got the Premier League trophy
1:35:46Lewis Bowden:that's done I can say I think Eddie Howell's going to win the World Cup though and put him first like it's like I don't know what we're doing
1:35:54Reev:he's going to win the double with us because I'm projecting it and then he's going to go to England that's not realistic though I think it's very realistic I think by the way Eddie Howell's going to win the World Cup I actually still maintain Eddie Howell with the Champions League before our turn no no with England at what club England are going to Sorry, who's Eddie Hargan to win the Champions League with? He has a better chance of winning the Champions League in Newcastle than Arteta with Arsenal. Oh my God.
1:36:16Theo:Yeah, Arteta ain't doing that shit. You don't know yourself, do you? Yeah. You take the dub on this one. Sorry, Theo. I've mocked him. That bit at the end was silly there, wasn't it? We'll just have a laugh and a giggle sometimes. I like to think that we know when we're laughing and giggling. Clearly he was having
1:36:32Lewis Bowden:a laugh and giggle on that one.
1:36:35Reev:You don't believe that statement. Well, statistically, you'd like to think Artic Rao's more chance considering he's split he's just giggling around
1:36:43Lewis Bowden:he's having a fucking little shit he's David giggling yeah shitting right thanks for tuning in everyone yeah Mock Central get Mock like and subscribe rate us five stars do all that nice stuff 400k subscribers and let us know in the comments your top 10 managers that was a long one today boys but yeah you too long
