Guest backgrounds
No explicit biographies in the transcript; they present as regular football pundit/podcast hosts covering Premier League results and analysis.
Key claims
- Newcastle’s Lewis Hall and Fabian Schär/defensive structure improved; Alanga and Chou/Chao (Alexander Isak is discussed separately) were key in the Everton rout.
- Alexander Isak “is off the mark” at Liverpool: needs game time, isn’t sharp yet, and Liverpool looked sharper overall.
- Liverpool won’t be sacked; they’re trying to stop the rot and build momentum (e.g., beating Sunderland/Leeds/Inter as confidence steps).
- Villa’s outside-the-box scoring is unsustainable; Wolves showed promise under Edwards and could upset Forrest.
- Man United are trending upward but lack trust to consistently win; AFCON will affect squad depth (Mbimbe mentioned).
Notable examples
- Volta Marders chip/lob; Zerksi left-footed finish; Foden’s goal; City’s Leeds game and Donnarumma injury faking debate; Tyler Adams’ halfway-line worldie vs Sunderland; Spurs vs Newcastle bet talk.

And in celebration of Lewis not being in here right now, we've got a sponsor. We've done it. We've done it. We've done it. And they unsigned. Shout out to Dabble for coming in, Clutch. You guys are legends. And G'day as well, because they're an Australian brand.
0:42Yeah, G'day. So shout out to all you G'days out there. But welcome back to the prediction. Welcome back to the Premier League review show. You wish, mate. He actually wants to be on it. You're so much. That came itching out. Do you know what's even more mad? I think I read somewhere prediction. There's not a single thing that says prediction on that screen. Yeah, that's a Freudian slip. It's so far in your mind. It is a Freudian slip. Is that when I love you so much That it slips out No What is a Freudian slip It works When you're thinking of it Yeah you're thinking of it subconsciously Late as usual Well done for turning up mate Well done mate What's what What I was about to say what's up And I said what's what A lot of interesting results Over the weekend Weren't there lads A lot of goals A lot of good goals A lot of goals Oh yeah Yeah Yeah loads of goals Like a throwback to What is it December 2006 Or whatever it was No it was Boston Day 1967 Wasn't it favourite bit about football that goals 1967 you don't remember the what was it goal of the month in that particular month oh Matty Taylor and all that yeah like Essien and all that well what was your favourite goal of the weekend ooh pick me pick me go on then Volta Marder's chip because chips are dying out in terms of it's tough it's a lob not a chip yeah a little lob I actually think Dewsbury Hall is the most technically difficult one he took that down so nice away from Livingston or Adams or now call me crazy here.
2:04Here we go. You see me out. What was who scored the left-footed one? Oh, Zerksi. Zerksi against Palen. No. But that technically one is ridiculous. Touched and didn't even get shot. When I seen it on the telly, I was like, what the fuck has Tino done there? And it doesn't even reach him because he just like killed it. Tino? T-Dog. Guys, I'm in the meetings with him. T-Dog. Let's start off with Newcastle then, Lewis. Impressive result against Everton. 4-1. Malik Chowbrace. Yeah. First minute goal. Really good. Also, did you notice how How many goals were scored in the first minute this weekend? Two?
2:36No. I think three. Malik Chow actually... Which was the third? I can't remember. There was Foden and then there was Chow. I think that's what I was referring to. Of course you were. Malik Chow's... I went to go check the West Brom score to be like, how West Brom doing? And they were one of that in the minute. Right. Malik Chow's is actually the fastest goal this year in the Premier League. Didn't that break the one that was scored earlier that day? Maybe. Lange should have put a score just before that as well. I think, yeah, he was class. We were class in general. but like I'm just happy to see like Miley was really good.
3:04But Lewis Hall was better. Lewis Hall was mint. Alanga was so much better. But you're just a better team when you've got an actual fullback playing fullback. Lewis Hall makes such a fucking difference. He's so good now. Like genuinely. Like when he signed he wasn't quite really there. He couldn't get in the team but like now he's like he can do everything. Would you say Burn left side and Chow right? Is that your best centre-back partnership? No it's Botman. Botman's injured though. Botman and Burn? Shock. It's no Botman and Chow. But would you want on left side Botman and Chow. definitely them two like it's not even like Fabian Schadler I give him one stinker until he changes that no both of them like are so good I mean Chau's carrying it no matter what he is a pretty good signing to be fair do you know what's it's mental well we'll get onto good signings but like he was only 30 million and like think about all the centre-backs who sort of went around and Hodgson leaving and like no but like no one was really sorry Hodgson but no one was really looking at Chau I think he was but he couldn't even get in the AC Milan team last year could he no he was he was in They're top of the league now, so we'll say they're better without him.
4:04They always said that he's really inconsistent, but he's been ridiculously consistent for us. He can do everything. It's only December, mate. I know, but from what I've seen, he literally can do everything. Yeah, he's good. Looks good. Yeah, he's been good. You're still bottom-up. What did you actually... He's carried his 13th when he's in there. They won and went down. Fuck yeah. Take away Votemada's finish. what do you think of his actual performance? He was a lot more involved in the game more because of how we work with actual fullbacks but he played the big part right at the start with Alanga getting through on goal in like 20 seconds that was his pass like I say there's lots of stuff that dirty stuff that Volta Manor does He didn't look amazing though What kind of dirty stuff Lee?
4:52I'm really confused he had a really good game Volta Manor he was one of his most involved games Yeah I do agree with that because he's, not to disrespect him, but he's been like a little bit more invisible in previous moments. Yeah, because he just couldn't get a hold of it. But like, it was even at one point where he took it down the box, he had the composure to cut onto his left, it was blocked off the line. Do you like his little romance with Chao? I love it. Before that interview, I didn't actually know he was German. Yeah, they got on planes together, didn't they? Really? Manic Chao. Oh, I thought he went with Vultemar.
5:19Yeah, I thought he was French or Belgian. Why didn't you think Vultemar was good? I actually think he looked, I thought he took his goal fantastic, by the way. I felt like he almost looked a bit clunky in a weird way at the weekend. Do you know what I mean? He did look like he was like... It's not because he has long limbs. Maybe. He just looked like he... I don't want to excuse me for this one. He didn't look smooth running around. He looked almost like he was a bit tight. Oh, another one. Jesus. Do you know what I mean? Long limbs, tight, dirty. I don't necessarily agree. Maybe I'm too harsh.
5:52I thought he took his goal fantastic. I thought he was great. I think it was 4-1. I think it's a very encouraging result because I think everyone would have... Everton weren't actually that bad. That result's quite harsh on them, I thought. They had some decent chances and they were good in parts, but they just couldn't get a hold of it with like... Livermento and Grealish was class. And you found a newfound love in your keeper, haven't you? That's nice. Ramsdale. I mean, he just has to stay in, doesn't he, really? It's a groin injury for Pope, isn't it? Yeah, but Ramsdale won't leave the number one spot now.
6:18I think he's got that cemented. We just look so much more... Do you actually think that, though? because Eddie Howe has favourites in that squad. I disagree actually. I disagree. Eddie Howe was saying this in the press conference like before that game. He was like, there are no favourites. It is on merit. He's obviously supposed to say that but he does have them. I disagree. He's dropped Bern and Shah who were his favourites and like long-term thing and he's dropped that. When did he drop Bern? When he was suspended. Bern came out but he's came back in because of injuries but like say Shah's out the team now for Shah.
6:49He got suspended. So Shao's a clear favourite But Chao came in And he had some good Little substitute performances And now he's been there I think he has actually Other than the one That he's not been allowed to No out on the left though He's not playing centre back I feel like he's missing That's the point That implies that he's just Being shooed into Wherever he can be on the pitch No it's because we don't Have any of the left backs I feel like he's missing The actual point One positive for you That's a classic Tom one Like Shao's been pushed out By Chao One positive thing for you though, Lou.
7:21Marley had his first start in a long time. Played really well. He played class. He played class. He's only 19. I feel like he's like, you forget how young he is and he had a bit of injury and he's getting a bit of stick by a lot of play. No, that's an impressive record for Dan Byrne to be dropped. No, he's left back. Left back, left back, left back, left back, left back, left back. But that validates the point. Yeah. It doesn't validate someone out of position because they're so first time. Yous are really making yourselves look silly here. You know why he's played left. I really hope. Get Tino Livermento's injury record up and see if him and Trippi are available at the same time.
7:54I feel like you're going to make yourself look silly. No. He's getting played because he likes Dan Byrne. And he's a versatile defender as well. He's there for injuries and for heights from Henderson's particular games. Livermento's been injured a lot this season. Like, you are looking silly here. He's been injured and so's Hall. That's why Byrne plays left. How do you not know that? I know that part, but I'm saying... No, no, no. All of a sudden goes is because he was shoehorned him in. Dan Burns is not your primary centre-back though, is he? Him and, he was at the start of the season, him and Sha.
8:27100%. And Hals said himself that Chow had to wait, Hals said himself in the last press conference that Chow had to wait for his time because Burn and Sha were too good. Burn and Burn and Burn. Literally everything I'm saying is right. He started against Atleti when Lewis Hall was on the bench. Yeah, this is how Chow started getting his game time because Chow started getting his game time coming in. Starting over Lewis Hall. He's a pointless argument. He's starting over Lewis Hall because Lewis Hall's coming back from injury. He can't sustain a whole I'm just saying Dan Byrne's fucking class mate.
8:57He loves him. It's Reeve, not me. Anyone back in his point. Yeah. He does have favourites. That's the one we were trying to say. And if Dan Byrne's everyone's favourite he should be your favourite. I feel like there's so much evidence that he doesn't like. But yeah but their point was he's a favourite because he plays every single game and he plays every single game. He's playing every single game because of injury. Yeah but the point of why is irrelevant to their argument. It's not irrelevant he has to if you have no other left people who can play left back you play the person who can but he hasn't just played at left back has he that's the point no it is what he was playing centre back and then he's got he can't he's not going to hold down centre back position now that Chow's there and same with Botman Botman's out so he's holding down centre back position right now what?
9:36don't really matter he plays centre back against Everton we're just trying to say once Botman's back anyway let's go to the next game moving on to actually you know what it does actually bode well to move on to one of your other favourite human beings Alexander Izak is off the mark in the Premier League Nice Tickers got well didn't it Yeah he did Tickers got well Good finish Very good finish Didn't look that good throughout the game though Yeah I don't know It just doesn't seem like He's that sharp Especially that first one He lost the ball so many times as well There are a couple bits that he was He needs game time Yeah yeah yeah He doesn't look sharp at all Liverpool in general sharper though Are you surprised that Liverpool well first of all slot dropped Salah and went on to win the game Yeah full rest for him Doesn't surprise me one bit that.
10:19Full rest. Yeah, no minutes whatsoever. I don't think it was a rest. What was your bit? Slap on the wrist. Play better. Naughty, naughty. No, just trying something different. You have to try something new, don't you? Drop him because he's been shit. That's usually how it works in footy. Or should be anyway. I watched a piece on... I don't know who did the analysis on it. It was basically showcasing... Verts had a good game, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It was showcasing why Verts and Suboza both had... Well, Suboza was playing... You know, we talk about a verse coming on the inside left. He played on the inside left.
10:54Coming on the inside of his leg. Jesus. Yeah, Gatbro stayed quite wide in Germany. Probably his best game for Liverpool. Do you think he's going to come good now? Do you think this is the confidence he needs? He should have scored. Let that be known. He should have scored. Oh, let it be known. He didn't put his foot through it. Weird. Tom's already said he's not got the leg power from the Premier League. He ain't got the leg, right? Is this a little resurgence for Liverpool? Are they about to put a string of games together? they're going to have to turn around I think it'll just be I still don't think they're going to be great but they'll just stop the rot is the writing on the wall for him anyway do you feel like no I don't think they'll sack him they just worked harder in that game as well they won't sack him but he obviously said like lads can we just like fucking work harder and we might win a game yeah I feel like was you in the team I was in the team I was in the team but you did they did you watched the game they worked harder yeah well done Fucking professional footballers On 100 grand a week And it works out Who would have fought?
11:50I hate when Honestly it's my pet peeve That when People get praised for running Do you know what a prime example of that is? That should be the bare minimum Do you watch the Palace United game? As a professional No Oh Well First half First half United was shocking Palace were all over them Should have won the game Second half It was a game of two halves Yeah They started just Running and like Attacking them I was like Why aren't they doing this From the start? Yeah it's so fucking Doesn't make any sense Honestly it's my pet peeve in footballers like that's the bare minimum you should really just going back to obviously Liverpool situation if they lose to Sunderland midweek and then drop points on the weekend you really don't think you'll be they're not that type of club Liverpool Sunderland at home and then City at home they don't sack managers who win things clock back question mark no ok they'll be patient Liverpool will be fine Sunderland then lead I think their season's pretty much off in the league as it is.
12:45Do you know what, I don't think it is. It is in terms of winning the league. Maybe in terms of winning the league, but they still need to fight for top four and they're only four points off second. No, yeah, no, but maybe I worded that wrong. I mean, their season's over in terms of what their goal would have been at the start of the season, which was to win the league. They've got no chance of winning the league. Yes, I do agree with you, but to play Dale's advocate, football is very... Yeah, they've got no chance of winning the league. No, I wouldn't say it though, the quality they have on that team, if they do, like, I'm not saying this lightly, I don't think in that squad they've given up on that but I don't think it's just Liverpool you look at Chelsea and City as well and all it takes is for Arsenal to lose the game and then to win again and instantly the gap is reduced do you know what I mean Liverpool is so up and down Liverpool can put a run together in these next few fixtures and that'll be their aim I don't think they'll be looking that long term we have seen no evidence this season that Liverpool will put a run together I don't think they will at the start of the season we saw evidence of that no we didn't they were poor in the games they were winning they still put a run of fixtures and wins together they were a bit shit but they were still being shit I think their I think their mindset is theirs like they haven't given up on it at all and like they're just they won't be looking that long term there is no one in that squad who thinks they can win the league guaranteed I disagree who do you think does I think you have Van Dijk I think all of them I think all of them will I think they'll look no I'm sorry I think they'll look about and the actual quality quality they have and they have the ability to put together a genuine run but they haven't shown that quality at all this season they're going to just suddenly show it I just think Nurt's been terrible Ezek's been terrible McAllister's been terrible Gravenberg hasn't been the same Van Dijk hasn't been the same Salah's not the same player Alisson ain't been the same The only one who's been good Is Sir Bosley I know but this is the thing You know the ability Of all these players Pernay's been terrible The new signing The new full backs Have been average or shit At best So everyone's underperforming Which is If anything a symptom Of a team able to turn it around They haven't been overperforming In previous years And now back to their level They're underperforming They can get back To their normal level But there's too many of them Underperforming For you to think Oh they can just turn this around Yeah but for them to get if they build a little bit of momentum now if they beat Sunderland and they beat Leeds and they get a good result of we're inter that is what's going to start building confidence and like getting that momentum going and that is what will I don't think they'll get close to it but they will snowball all it takes is two wins in a row he's actually a chance as he's going to score take two wins in a row and you're instantly just like oh my god we're back and a striker that obviously needs goals scoring as well more than goals he needs fucking game time that's what you know yeah they need to keep him injury free as well if you are going to you know change it around and it's like a confidence issue scoring goals is obviously going to change came off early again though for tickles yeah I think that was the plan though innit yeah they need to really no they need to make sure they don't get him injured like it is a bit of a really bad yeah they were fairly defensive minded substitutions as well so obviously Slott was trying to get a W um black country what about it thought okay okay well I don't you've just I don't Well, that's your area.
15:41Yeah, what do you want to know? Villa's not black. Villa's not in the back. Villa's Birmingham. Villa. It's on the Villa. What's it called? Well, it's just Villa versus Wolves. Yeah. Oh, shut up. It's not. What do I want to say? I'm not being a knob. Is that a derby, Will? You call Villa a derby? It's a Tom Garrett hatred derby. But it's a derby. Not really. Give us a bit of spice. Villa derby? Give us a bit of spice, will you? There's a bit of testiness to it, but it's not really. You were telling me last week when we made our bet about how all your mates are going to be like, oh, it's a fucking Derby, all that and this and that and that.
16:14Yeah, you were saying it like that as well. Yeah, you were saying it like that. You were. I must have blanked out. Also, I won the bet, by the way. Well done. Well, that's evidence. Mate, Wolves are the better team. Genuinely. Do you agree with that? It actually gave me a little bit of hope. Yeah, first off, I thought you were really good. You dominated possession. Is it too difficult? He was unlucky with a disallowed goal. I thought, and their goals are fucking worldy. it's like Villa have that quality in them. They scored 56 % of their goals from outside the box. Yeah, I saw that. Mental. They're doing it like every week.
16:46It's easy, Pete. And also they got, fucking pays me to say this, doesn't it? Go on. Got a very good goalie. Do you see the save? Yeah, he's dependable, isn't he? I honestly think Wolves will be happy with that. I genuinely thought they was unlucky. Yeah. But do you not think that, like... Positive sign. They haven't played like that all season. I think when they're doing this bad, that's enough for their talent not genuinely like you've when you are in the dirt like that and have no hope at least they have a glimmer now obviously first half they were I mean to be fair I was on the trains they did cut out for a couple of minutes every so often but Wolves had most of possession you were getting forward well Gio Gomez was getting about like Bellegarde was alright I thought Strand Larsson looked yeah he's getting more service yeah yeah for you to go to Villa Park and dominate the ball pretty much for the first half I thought but is that not the issue though they show signs no they haven't shown any signs this season but they still lost Villa?
17:42yeah that's just a quality disparity Villa don't need to play well to beat Wolves yeah don't get me wrong Wolves are still going to go down but at least they're going down with a good performance but I thought considering Edwards has had two weeks you can see a sign already I thought it was better I mean it's a hope that kills it but I actually think might win on Wednesday now yeah I think you might I beat Forrest, yeah. Oh, Forrest. No, because you're home. Yeah, do you know what? Yeah, you are at home. So, like, the crowd, the Wolves crowd were loud as well the weekend because of the way they were playing.
18:16Villa seemed a bit nervous, I thought, but now going into Wednesday, with that bit of confidence and bit of that, the Molyneux should be rocking. I could see you beating Forrest Wednesday, definitely. It's got to a point where, like, you almost just have nothing to lose, which makes you kind of dangerous in each individual game. Yeah. I think yeah I think the lads well the lads the players have backed Edwards has come in they seem to be rallying around something and also what have they got to lose now that's what I mean yeah yeah can't get any worse go and get a win and then everybody can get on we can't really can it no it can no it can't saying that Villa another win low key just in four level on points of Chelsea how do they get there do you know what's half not well a bit worrying about Villa is they're not even playing that well are you telling me that they could be in the title charge.
19:03Well, they're not out the risk to be out the risk. Well, they're well in the risk. But if they're not playing well, they're in four. I think they've got a really good chance of top four. If they actually start to play well, they could be really dangerous, Villa. Yeah, some of their... Watkins is still stinking it off. Some of their key players are just not playing very well. Do you not think that the amount of goals they're scoring outside of the box is going to catch up on them very, very soon? Yeah, I mean, yeah. You can't sustain that unless you're Chelsea from 06-07 with Frank Lampard in your team.
19:28You can't sustain that at all. What? Just really random. I think he scored over 20 out-of-the-box goals that season. Did he? Yeah. Where do you remember that? Not just Lampard. Chelsea in the team. Lampard scored a lot of goals. Would have had Essien in the team as well. 20 in the season. No, he said Chelsea. Chelsea did, yeah. 20 in the season. Well, you don't know that stat. No, that's what I'm asking you. That's what I'm asking you where you pulled it from. This Premier League feels like the hardest league in a long time. It's just like this, isn't it? That's because you're 13th. Any team can go from 17th to 17th.
20:00That's because you're 13th in Sunday. I think it's more that we're 13th but five points off fifth that shows that it's the most competitive it's very tight like six or something is it so City in second on 25 you are on 18 so you're seven points around second but it's Fulham in 15 shit yeah nice one Fulham in 15 you got me up to Chelsea in third there is seven points but even if you look at the teams competing for relegation like the good teams well you can just see by the form table of everyone in Everyone's either on 18-9. They put them in 15. It's ridiculous. Newcastle is on 13th. Yeah, well, we need to put them in together.
20:37It's so weird. You won your game and dropped on the table. Again, that's not what happened to you. Yes, it is. We went up one place. No, you dropped. You were in 11th. I can't believe you're going to say it's a big game against Spurs, you know. Yeah, but that's a nice. I'm sorry. Relegation six points. That's a gimme win, that. Is it? You're at home. Spurs are playing away, which means they might win. You have the same record. We win at home every time against them. Yeah, but Spurs can only win away. Yeah. No, we already just beat them 2-0 a few weeks ago. I don't know. And they didn't put any fight up.
21:05Oh, with their second team in the club. Can we make a bet? Oh, go on. You can do it on Dabble as well. And then everyone else can follow it. Nice. And then everyone can see the bet you've made. Give me Spurs in the draw. And you can have Newcastle to win. No. That's fair. You said it's going to be... Why would I give him two results? You said it's a gimme result. Yeah, but there's still possibility of other things. I'm not ignoring that. A gimme's no possibility. No, but a gimme would imply that you should... No, no, a gimme would imply that you think it's impossible for anything. Your logic with odds is silly.
21:31No, it's not. Just because I think we're going to win a team doesn't mean I'm going to give you a favourable odds. He did for Villa Wolves because he said it's a definite... Because he's very silly. He didn't mean... No, he was wrong. I won. Yeah, he won. So you don't believe you're going to win it? But there's also a risk it wasn't going to work out. Obviously, there's a risk in any bet. That's what an odds is. Calm down, Tom. Yeah, but you're like... You have no risk in any bet. Yeah, but I'm not going to give you fair of odds. Before the weekend, you're going to say there's no risk of City to lose the league.
21:56I'm giving you two options over my watch. Yeah, because you think it's so preferential that Newcastle will win. I'm giving you evens on Newcastle to win. There'll be odds on with the bookies. So I'm actually giving you better odds. I'll have to check the bookies. I'd have to check dabble. You'll have to check dabble. When you bet with Maze, who goes, I'm going to check the bookies, actually. It's just a fun bet. Oh, Tom, it's just a bet. When the fun stops, stop. Why don't you just have a laugh? I'm sick because I'd nick too many bets on him. Why don't we give you Newcastle draw or Spurs? By the way, if I don't want to do a certain bet, I'm not going to do it.
22:25Newcastle can start three goals ahead and I'll take the Spurs win. I don't know what the fractions mean. The fractions? Yeah, Newcastle 8-11 to odds on. So I offered you even money for a Newcastle win and you didn't take it because apparently it was favourable to me. Yep. Even though it's a gimme win. I don't understand fractions. Right. I don't understand fractions. It's odds on. so if you put£11 on you get eight back so you lose money no plus your stake yeah yeah if you get your stake back anyways moving swiftly on to when the Eagles took on the Red Devils as I said it was a game of two halves but United and now if you exclude penalties I think they've got the same amount of all the stats he's done with this week well they've got the same amount of set-piece goals as Arsenal and each yeah yeah are they set-piece merchants why are you excluding penalties in that because it's a bit boring to use pens in it.
23:17That is a set piece. I know it is, but come on. Well, Brentford would be up there then, wouldn't they, if you glued penalties? So you're arguing individually it would be. Yeah, he'd be on like 15 penalties a season. He's done 11 goals. Can United, could they squeeze top four? Are they getting better? They're definitely getting better. They've been better this season. They go like this though, don't they? They're like... Yeah, I think they're slowly getting better. They're trending upwards, but if you look game by game, it's just... They might squeeze into the top five, but you just don't trust them, do you?
23:46I don't trust them to go. Who have they got? West Ham at home next. I don't trust them to go and win that. Do you? Yes. Should we make a bet? They should beat West Ham at home. They should. Okay, but they should beat. I don't trust them too. They should beat Everton with 10 men. Also, West Ham no Paquette. Do you know what I mean? West Ham no Paquette. I know, but I don't trust Man United to go and win that game. Do you? No, I don't. Do you know what I mean? Are they home at home? At home? One of their bigger issues is Mbimo's off to AFCON in two weeks. He is actually, yeah. so they're going to lose their best player of the season pretty much well one off maybe Cunyar will step up more he's injured at the moment isn't he when's he back I don't know when is he back I think he's only a knock he's only a knock or Mount maybe Mount Mount looked good he did look he took his goal very well also so did Xerxi Xerxi scored well done he needed a goal didn't he Xerxi he's not the answer though is he no oh Martinez came on first time in a long time yeah he's just a knock yeah he's back the butcher is back which is There's positive signs for Manchester United.
24:48Yeah, West Ham, he's back. Who did Amaran say was anxious on the pitch? Before the game, he named two players who were anxious. It was the mascot, the Red Devil. Fred the Red. Are you about to quote something? No, it was a genuine question. I said it was Dogu. Dogu. He said Dogu was anxious before a football match. Why would he say that? I don't know why. Why would he say that out loud? I thought it was weird. Why are you putting more eyeballs on the person who's anxious? One of my players is really anxious going into this game Everyone watch him all game by the way Hammering anxiety Yeah like if you're Doggy you'll be like Why are you saying that mate?
25:22I told you that in confidence Yeah and he took him off Did he take him off Is he crying? Yeah that was Football manager AI Very weird of him It's just like He's home shit If there's one way to not to prevent anxiety is not to shine a spotlight on the person with anxiety Yeah and Doggy didn't even start Because he's too anxious Maybe that's why he didn't play. He came on in the 90th minute, Dawg. By the way, what if Dawg was like, I'm not fucking anxious. I'm not fucking anxious. You're anxious. Yeah, you're anxious. No, it's because he's scared of train journeys. Kobe Maynou came on in the 90th minute.
25:55He did. If you're Maynou. I'd leave. Come to Newcastle in January. Lone or leave? Leave. That's a go. Apparently it's going to be a lawn and they have no interest of letting them go. He's obviously not fancied, is he? But I'm not in that way. Why would you? If you're hammering, like, you've got real talent. Why are you not Hey Bruno's further forward Unfortunately Whether you like it or not Amorim has his way And it's his way All the highway And he's very stubborn And if If you don't fall into that If you don't fit into A certain role Like profile Or role Oh that would be good For Mainu A lone move to Napoli Yeah he's linked to that And then I actually watched that game Last night Napoli-Roma Fuck me The thing is It was so boring Was it McSor's not played well That league Honestly I'm going to say, shit.
26:41I'm sick of it. But if Maynard did go to Napoli, he would therefore turn into one of the best sentiment fielders in the world. They're not willing to put a bye clause in is what I've read about all that shit. So it's just like a little... Yeah, he's coming back. Probably because the higher-ups at United know how good he is. Yeah. Well, yeah. He's a big asset, isn't he, for the future? Very big asset. Is he, though, if he's not going to play? Well, if you are the owners, you are sort of like, what the fuck's he doing, Amarillo? It's like we've got this really good player here. Yeah, but then you've invested in Amarim.
27:10You're trusting him. So if he doesn't think Manu's good enough, sell him, cash in. Yeah, but you wouldn't. They'd come back and haunt you. If you're the owner, you'd be like, oh, no. You've seen Metomini. You've seen Rashford. It's like, we're going to let Manu go now. Yeah. I mean, if you got rid of him on a loan and then he'd come back, it's like a Manu-merang. What? That's so bad. That's your worst one ever. Boomerang? Manu-merang. I always know when he's going to do it because he has a smirk before he sees it. Stop pointing to people. Stop pointing to people. M Boomerang will go to AFCON then come back with an M Boomerang.
Read the full transcript
27:41That would be better. That would have been better. Yeah, but that's not a lone move, though, is it? Theo, well done. That's way better. Main Oomerang doesn't even make sense. Doesn't even work. No. I understand what a Boomerang is. What a Boomerang are, man. Cheers. Fucking hell. Right, who saw City celebrate like they just won the league against Leeds at the end of the year? Oh, celebration, please. Here we go. Fucking hell. Do you want to just kill all the passion in the game? I thought you couldn't quantify passion. That's it right there, mate. Yeah. When has anyone ever taken the piss out of a team for celebrating a winning goal ever?
28:13On this show. Tell me the time. Tell me. I'm trying to do the old one. We actually... We actually... We actually... We're not celebrating... Not of. Arsenal looting. What? Arsenal looting? When we tied against Bournemouth. You won that game? It was a win against Bournemouth. It was a Rhys Nelson win. No one took the piss out of that. Yeah, they did. I didn't. You did. No, we didn't. I don't remember what game this is. Media did I don't think I was there Online media did You know with a screenshot What about Donnarumma Faking an injury That's fine That was Just to go back to Great goals this weekend Foden's first one Was fucking Foden's starting to Heed up Trying to click isn't he He should have got A couple more goals He should have scored Against us He should have scored Another one in this game But he's like blocked He's getting into good areas now He took it off Harland's foot Which I liked I think that's why Man City are going to Have to triple captain Man City are going to Start looking a bit better Because everyone's just Like triple marking Harland and Forden's just finding loads of space now.
29:08You say that, they went 2-0 up and then they conceded two against Leeds. Yeah, well, that's the other side of the pitch, isn't it? You know what I mean? That's the other side of the pitch. Cavaloo, I told you. Great striker. He's got it in him. If he just clicks, mate, poor. Unbelievable goal as well, wasn't it? What finish? Yeah. Analysis. I think, yeah, City are just not that good. They're just, they're a bit mental, aren't they? By the way, and if you are crying about Don Rumer going down and like... Did you see the entire... I tell you what, grow up, maybe defend better. There's so many other things you can be complaining about.
29:43If anything leads, that's something you should be implementing, all this sort of dark arts bullshit. Why are you crying? Maybe learn your lesson and do it too, because it's not going to get ruled out. There's no rule change that's going to come in that stops people from faking an injury. Not like him to backtrack on things anyway, is it? I also don't get what the issue is, because I don't understand if... The entire team went to pepper the halfway line. You can talk to your team from the side as a manager. You can. There's no rule against that. I think the argument there, Tom, is that in the spirit of football in the game...
30:13Spirit of football! By the way, this is a team who spied on Trier in lesser sessions. Yeah, what the fuck? He's been a football. Faked an injury so he could have a team talk. Come on now. So, what could have possibly been said in that team talk that was so groundbreaking? Oh, you see, imagine if Arsenal did that. It's not about... Ortega spends half the fucking game on the pitch. He should be sent off every day. Every day. By the way, this is coming from a team who literally were spying on training sessions and were on about the fucking game and, oh, shut up. I don't think they've known about it.
30:42Who cares? There's a million other things you can complain about about your team and how you actually play football on the pitch. Are you crying because Guardiola's doing a team tour? Yeah. The players aren't even listening anyways. I bet they just nod and like, yeah, exactly. I wish he'd fuck off, like. He grabs you and I bet he probably grips your neck and you're there like, oh. What the hell? Yeah, it's just like fucking hell. And he just slaps your arse. I struggle to believe anything was really said in that little spell. I think he went Foden score last minute winner. Yeah, let's try and win the game, guys.
31:14Just so stupid. Why don't you just mark Foden instead of complaining about a fucking team talk? They got a lot of other good players. Yeah, you tell them, bro. And. It don't matter. Anyway. Suddenly the best team in the league. Yeah, it's just getting ridiculous, though. 2-0 down. We haven't spoken about Arsenal. No, we're saving it. Oh, save it for the pod. Retention. Retention. I think people skip that bit now. Tyler Adams scores a halfway line worldie to only get dunked on by Sunderland, mate. Yeah, I did Evan Nilsson miss that first one. Sunderland's pretty decent at home. It's pretty decent in general.
31:53Yeah, I'll tell you what, it's going to be a really hard game for us, isn't it? When is that? It's still a few weeks away. We're streaming that as well. We got Spurs, then Burnley, and then... Yeah, next Sunday. Coming back early from a family... It's going to be a hard game. I can't wait. What, the Puyallup meet-up? No, it's not actually the Puyallup meet-up. That's in the summer. You must be a bit scared of them, though. Yeah, but this is the thing. Are you scared? You said yeeted, yeah. Oh, I'm definitely scared. This is part of it. It is actually, at least... If they were shit... Where's it at?
32:25I wouldn't have got the... Sydney Malay. Oh, you're shit away from Rome. That's what I mean. we need to fix this now like fucking hell but at least if we beat them at least there's like I can it'll feel better because they're actually a really good side at home surely it'll feel good anyway if they were like 18 I would have been celebrating but it's like well done he's 14 Lewis you've also got a midweek against Leverkusen away they got a week rest before the game yeah true yeah well but like this thing we can't complain about that we've got more depth we've been this is where we want to be we can't complain the world yeah yeah you can't you don't have any excuses well you don't have any excuses and the best strike in the world i'm saying we don't know we'll find them yeah i'm saying we don't have excuses now you're gonna wait so like you don't even have the whole like yeah i'm you's i think you's expected me to disagree with these here i agree we don't have an excuse we have to no no we'll wait until they beat you then we'll hear the excuse if they beat us it's not good enough for us like that i like that's i'm not gonna change on that you are some guy yeah but you think you're gonna win don't you i think we will win yeah yeah but like if we don't win that's not good enough from us.
33:29There's no excuse of mid-week games. We have depth to deal with it now. We have enough good players. Yeah. So that's fine. Sondlanders, I'm real, mate, at what point do we have to start addressing it? They could get Europe, guys. I said it from the start, as in three weeks ago, and everyone said it. Yeah, they could. No, I laughed at you about Champions League. They're not going to get Champions League. They might get Europe. They might get top five. They're not going to finish in the top five, Theo. Why not? Because there's way better teams, are they? Like who? Like Newcastle, like United, like Liverpool.
34:01I've learned about Newcastle this year. Sunderland are not better than Newcastle, are they? One of their biggest problems as well is they've been better so far, but they're not better than Newcastle, are they? No, but they've been better. They've been better than the Premier League. Do you think Newcastle are better than Sunderland? Right now? No, just out to say yes or no. Do you think Sunderland, even let them say it right now, even let them say it. Do you think Sunderland are better than Newcastle? Right now, yeah. That's why the higher up in the Premier League. One of their biggest issues is they have the most people...
34:32So are you just... Sorry, just a quick before we move past this. So you're ignoring the other major competitions that we're performing well in? No. Well, you are because you just said the Premier League. I'm not ignoring it. Like Newcastle's actual home form is also really good. There's only one problem. No fucking way. But they're above them? On the same points, mate. But they're above them? On the same points. Do you think Bournemouth, Brentford are better teams? I just think Sunderland are not getting the credit they deserve. I think they're fantastic everyone's given them credit I think in the Premier League they are better even I'm giving them credit but in the Premier League I'm saying they're better than Newcastle they are in the Premier League yeah they've got better results in the Premier League so far this season that's what I'm saying but I asked you do you think they're better than them do you think Sunderland are better than Newcastle yeah I think they are and that's why Lewis and that's why at the moment Lewis is scared to play them no I don't think they're better than us I know how good they are at home but I think I think we've turned a corner on our way.
35:28Because they're really good at home. Well, they're just really good to start. Do you think they're really good full stop? It's just because they're Sunderland. They're really good at home. Sunderland are good and they've had a really good start to the season, but I don't think anyone with even the most avid Sunderland fan would think they are better than Newcastle. I think right now they are. Theo, come on, mate. Even after, like, you've seen how different of a team we were with the people coming back from injuries against Everton. Like, that weird thing is going to be over, I think, by the time we even play something.
35:57They do lose the most players to AFCON out of every club in the Prem. They lose seven. Have they gone by the time our fixture comes in? That is a tricky one. Have they gone by the time we play them? When's AFCON start? Have they? Two weeks, yeah. They've drew at Arsenal. They've beaten Chelsea. These are some seriously impressive results. Yeah. No one's doing it either. No Theo, but like, the thing is, we've obviously had our, even with our issues, we were very close to getting a result against you. We should have really got a result against Liverpool. We've got greedy. No, but you're acting like Newcastle.
36:25is right now I think they are better I don't think that's crazy to say in the Premier League you keep narrowing it down to try and help you on an argument you are which is a better team I don't think it's that mental you're getting rid of the context of Newcastle I don't think it's that crazy I think you're acting a bit dramatic no Newcastle Newcastle performance is worse in the Premier League because we're fighting on more fronts than Sunderland so you're ignoring all the other games we're playing and doing really well in the Champions League it's like saying you don't think Palace are better than Newcastle do you?
36:53you can't I think that's that Jesus what are we doing what are we doing Crystal Palace FA Cup winners getting fantastic results you don't think Palace are better than Newcastle do you let's be honest you don't you don't think they're a better team I don't think it's that do you think Palace are closer than I think it's a lot closer than you're making out as if it's like I'm not saying it's a ginormous gap but it's pretty solid isn't it that Newcastle are better than Palace do you think particularly no I think we're just so drawn on saying these because these big clubs and playing Champions League What are you on about?
37:25There's a reason we're playing Chelsea football. I get you. You're acting like I'm saying something like mental. I don't think it's that crazy. No, I think the gap's quite small, but let's change the question. I don't think it's clearly wrong. Let's change the question then. Over the course of a season, who finishes higher, Palace or Newcastle? This season, I think Crystal Palace will finish higher. Do you really? I do, yeah. Okay, and then let's extend that to Sunderland and Newcastle. Then you believe what you're saying, don't you? To your point, I think you've got Champions League football to contend.
37:50I know they've got European as well, but Champions League was
37:55I'm saying across the whole of the season. You're asking me right now who's a better team. I said Sunderland and Newcastle. And now you're asking me a question, who do you think is going to finish higher across the whole of the season? So I'm looking at a broader spectrum. Why is that fucking stupid? Everything I said is logical. You're getting butter. Can I answer your question? I actually said you believe what you say. I just want to answer this question. The reason that I'm picking on it is because... You're butter, mate. Let me answer. Sunderland doing better than Nukash. You're fucking crying.
38:25You're in 13th position. Oh my God, he's off again. I'll wait. You're in 13th position. You won a game of football when you went down in the league. I'll wait. Do you know what I mean? Sunderland are sick. I'll wait. Okay. So why for the full length of the season are you taking into account Champions League but when assessing it now you are ignoring Champions League? I'm not ignoring it, Lewis. You were because you keep saying based on the Premier League table is what you're saying. I said Sunderland. No, that wasn't the question. You're adding that. I'm saying Sunderland right now. We're saying who's the better team.
38:51something a lot better than you full stop mate you're fucking shit you're 13th they're 6th again Theo calm down you keep pointing at the Premier League table so in one context I can't point at the Champions League table because some of them aren't in it exactly so that context matters but they might be next year fucking hell they might be in Champions League next year and Newcastle might not be and then we look back at this conversation and be like oh look at silly little Lewis do you think Newcastle's results in the Champions League sort of reflect their performance this season or does the Champions League not matter of course it matters okay haven't they So you should take it into account then?
39:22Yeah, of course you should take it into account. No, and right now as well, Theo, not over the course of the season. You should take it, of course you could take it into account. But if you think Sunderland, if you think Sunderland are better than Newcastle, why do you think Newcastle are going to finish above them? When? Oh, what's that question mean? Wait, what do you mean when? What do you mean when? I think Sunderland will finish above them. Oh, you think Sunderland are going to finish above Newcastle? Yes. And Palisar? Yes. Oh, can we all have this bet on this? And not only that, and Tommy, you asked me Who do you think the better team, right?
39:49Let me ask you this question, role reversal. When Suttling face Newcastle, who do you think will win? I think it'll be a draw. And again, Theo, that doesn't decide... Why is that? I was so political. I think Arsenal are better than Chelsea, but I thought Chelsea might get a result yesterday. Darbys are so different. By the way, please do take a... Put your money where your mouth is. He's always shouted at me for not doing that. Let's put something on. Put your money where I bet on it. No. More. No, you literally fucking... You say no. You have Palace and Sunderland above Newcastle. Yeah, 50 pounds.
40:21Where do you think Newcastle... At least one of us puts our money where I'm out. I actually would do that bet now I've seen the odds. I didn't think I was getting a good deal. What are you... I'll say it. Now you're coming too late. You're complaining now and saying I'll take the bet. Where do you think Newcastle are going to finish in the table? Tenth. Gee, really? Okay, no, so by that logic, Wes... I think there are better teams. I think there are better teams right now and I think the Premier League, you've seen... I don't think he watches us. He doesn't watch us. No, I think you're a good team Can you watch us against Everton?
40:49Lou, stop getting butthurt why someone's a bit like that. You're crying because I think they're going to finish. I'm asking a straight question but I feel like you get angry because you don't have to watch this. I think a lot of teams right now, you look at the Premier League and if I said to you, Sunderland are in six, all these teams are up, you'd be like, I don't believe you. At the start of the season, the Premier League is mental this season. I agree, but it is a marathon. Not 100%. And I think Sunderland have a higher chance of finishing higher because they have less games to play. Unicross will also have the Champions League to contend with which as you can know it does take it out on the teams you look at Crystal Palace who are sort of struggling every time they play after a European game that's what I mean that's why I'm surprised you think Palace will finish above them to be honest mate they might not if I'm being honest but fuck it I think they will 9th I respect it I mean I think Palace have got also boom boom boom up front mate I like it I've got no issue with you having a bold opinion I was just interested on your take a bold opinion sorry I didn't mean like that I was just interested to understand your take you get quite angry when I just ask you a question about your take I was having a laugh no I don't think that you cry any time you mention Sunderland I wasn't actually crying I stayed quite calm throughout that I'll give Sunderland credit are you Sunderland no who do you think is going to win between Newcastle and Sunderland out of interest I think we'll win but I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us because it's a derby and they're really good at home and it's a big game so it's unpredictable but now they're losing players at AFCON I'd definitely heavily put it out of favour and I think it's either that weekend or the weekend I think as well you're basing it's middle of December they go isn't it yeah which is when does AFCON start they might have already gone you know no they haven't which is still 21st I thought they'd still be there when would they need there's a chance they go a week before no chance I think as well Phil you're basing a lot your thoughts on us as a team pre-return There's no way Sunderland will let their players go Can you imagine?
42:45Wait, click on that 8th of December? To release players for Wow Oh, so the club have got no option? So they have to go two weeks before It's usually two weeks What are they doing though? I apologise I was wrong It's like bloody hell I think Wissom might not be gone Nah, he's got to go hasn't he? How many is Sunderland missing? Seven Seven? Yeah Bershaw and Traore Burkina Faso Are they qualified? Yeah, Troy O 'Reilly's one. Who else are they losing? Siddiqui, Diar Kongo. That's Vista's team, isn't it, Diar Kongo? Yeah. Siddiqui's not been starting though, has he? Diara as well. Ronaldo. Mozambique.
43:22I get mixed up with most them players. Mozambique. Rinaldo. Oh yeah, that's a big loss. That will be a big loss. Granit Xhaka, Swiss. But already that's a different team going into the derby, isn't it? It'll take a few players. And again, I think Newcastle will be a different team by that derby once we've built on what we've got. My logic for the reverse of you finishing higher is they've been underperforming for pretty much the entire season. I'm very confident. We were 12th at Christmas last year. That's what I mean. And we finished Champions League. Would you take a draw right now? No, definitely not.
43:51We have to beat them. What about tired legs after the Leverkusen match? It doesn't matter. We can alternate. We have to beat them. For us, it's a must win. You can't go into a derby thinking, yeah, I'll take a draw. That's true. I think away from home at Sunderland. No, that's a rational thought. But personally, I feel like we do. We have to beat them. You're an irrational man. Can I ask you a question? Would you take... Would you snog your mum to win 3-0? No. Oh, shut up. Yeah, you would. But if you don't do it, if you don't do it, you lose 15-0. What would you do? I'm not snogging my mum. What would you do?
44:21What would you do? We'd lose 15-0, mate. Oh, no. You're not a real fan, mate. Sorry. Yeah, sorry. It's embarrassing. How about your brother? Would you snog your brother? No. I'm not snogging any of my family members. Why not? What about your dog? It's a weird... What about your dog? What? What about your dog? 3-0. Would you just have one little licky dog's bum? No, I'm not licking my dog's arsehole. Or that sniff it? No. Yeah, just a little sniff. Stop trying to get me to say something weird. Otherwise, you lose both games 20-0. No, I'm not doing anything. Would you go out for a walk with your dog and your mum has to hold the dog and you in a leash?
44:58No, I wouldn't do that, actually. No, I don't think so. Brentford beat Burnley 3-1. Yeah. Yeah, they did. Mate, all the goals came in the last 10 minutes. Yeah. Thiago's on a fucking... Can I just say, are we just... Frank, is Thomas Frank just a massive fraud and it's just Brentford are just a mate, like, their whole cog and system just worked. Are you officially putting Frank on fraud? With any manager, any player, it just works. Nah, the manager makes a difference. I think you're... Does he know that they're exactly the same under Andre? But that is his... He built that in fairness. No, no, no, no.
45:31Thiago didn't play under Frank. He was injured the whole time. I know, but that system's built. Utara's new signings They've made new signings I've made a difference Henderson Yeah but he's built this ship It's almost like a new team No but he's built this ship No I know but They've replaced the crew But the ship's still there Yeah but Was the ship not there before Frank? Not really But usually No they were in the championship But usually When the crew changes The dynamics change And sometimes the performance Of the crew goes down But instead They're staying exactly the same A lot of them You remove a cog Which is Thomas Frank Or the engine And they just put Sam Coggin You bring in Utara You bring in Henderson Keith Andrews Yeah Thiago Filling the manager hole With new signings My point is They've lost Frank Who was very much lauded And has gone to Spurs And he's struggling bad They're replacing him With a set-piece coach Who everyone laughed at And thought Oh my god Brentford are going down And they're just as good This is the thing They all might be saying I like this And they lost their best player Who thought Brentford Were going down I hold my hands up mate You can't argue With the money ball system And they lost their best player Yeah but they all might like the new captain they all might like the new captain but you can't put down three best players no guard two yeah but they just play us with Jordan Henderson I just think Brentford are one of the most impressive teams in world football or clubs win loss win loss win loss but that gets you mid-table yeah which is great for them Brentford like 10 to 15 years ago Brentford were like a standard league one and league two club no one even fucking heard of them West London and no one cared.
47:04Now they're like... Same with Brighton. Similar. Yeah, but Brighton's a massive place and they had the infrastructure or at least the idea to... Well, they stuck a stadium in the middle of... Do you know what I mean? West London offices. Brentford had the fucking... Their old stadium was like a garden shed. Did you see the Wyfton? Yeah, I know, but Brighton... That is 16 years ago, to be fair. Obviously, yeah. I liken Brentford to like Barnet. Genuinely That's how I thought of them Like 20 years ago What was the What was the Capacity of Brentford's Old Stadium And with Dean Like With Dean I reckon Was like 5 ,000 Really Brentford's was bigger Than that I think Maybe more than 5 ,000 Mate This was It was just a stand And a Running track Griffin Park Yeah how much Did it hold 12 ,000 Oh do with Dean With Dean Oh this is going to be Tight Do you see what I mean About Brighton It's a massive city.
48:04You can't even get a stadium. It comes off a sports centre. 1 ,300. No, that's not right. Record growing off. It did happen with Potter as well. They were on a similar journey. I know it's a bigger club, but a bigger journey of building them up and then went to the big job and just flopped. Yeah, I think... No, it was more... I know what you mean, though. It's more to just run my Thomas Frank agenda, to be honest. Because I think he's... I feel like you can't put down what he's done at Brentford now, because that's a finished chapter now. So even if they go on and win a championship now, that doesn't underdo what Frank did to get them and do what he did and done what he'd done.
48:44Damn. And is who he is and am who I am. Damn. Anyway. Spurs, Fulham, we haven't really discussed Frank there, have we? I think he needs to go. He's not good enough for a top job. Did you see Vakari getting booed during the game? Yes. I've seen it now. Yes. I don't know what video I saw of a Spurs fan, He was going mad Being like We weren't booing Vicario We were booing the team Maybe he wasn't Yeah Maybe it was We were booing him But also So what? You're allowed So fucking what? Do you know how much money Spurs fans pay? So fucking what? Maybe don't play Like a child And kick it straight To a fucking Honestly He should have been sacked Let alone booed For that fucking mistake That was embarrassing Boot it into the stand He actually turns around And complains to the defenders How the fuck?
49:29Also So, how the fuck are you a Premier League goalkeeper and you can't kick a ball off the ground with your left foot? You should be embarrassed, mate. I think it's not just that moment that a lot of Spurs fans, I think, have just been a bit like... They're sick of it. Spurs are so bad to watch. Their XG, the amount of shots... I think this has been the first season since the 03-04 season where Spurs were like 12th in the league. That was like they were a complete mid-table team. the least amount of shots on target in this season since that season it's fucking embarrassing I genuinely can't see Spurs finishing top half no not if they keep Frank no way and that'll be two seasons in a row 17th and what 12th they're so bad to watch to counter your Frank thing do you now think maybe Andrew was underappreciated no no I think he was appreciated they prefer Andrew right now he gave him the moment yeah he gave him the moment I fancy Andrew would be doing a better job this season Spurs were above their position right now at this stage.
50:26I think if Ange was steered on, they'd be in a better position right now. No Spurs season ticket. I can't even take credit for this. I saw Joe Tomlinson's tweet. Spurs season ticket is£2 ,300 a season, right? Which means for every home win, it's cost£766. They've had three home wins this year. Yeah. Three. I saw a video of a guy on about it, Ben Bowman, and he said, I think he was including cup games maybe. He said he's paid for his season's but for Premier League he's paid £333 per win this season or something like that this year it's three home wins at home that's what I mean it's just yeah yeah so 766 pounds too high they can fucking boo but Tom last year they only concentrate on the Europa League it worked I don't recommend booing a specific player like it's not going to make them play better so what sometimes you want to vent did you see what happened when the Arsenal fans booed Xhaka when he walked off didn't go very well but long term it went very well he got better at the club later I don't think you should really be telling fans what they can and can't do when they pay a lot of fucking money to watch I think it's managerial suicide highly highly highly overpaid fucking prima donnas play football like so what if you get booed part of the game like have you seen how some people treat McDonald's fucking workers or customer call services like Jesus you're on fucking 60 grand a week get over it I think he's on Mark probably isn't he Vicari oh they booed me Yeah, because you're fucking shit.
51:54Also, players get booed all the time at away games. It's not like, I know it's your home fans, so it feels a bit different. I know it is, but it happens. I think I'd be right. I just, yeah, I think stop being a titty babby and maybe learn to kick the ball off the floor with your left foot. And don't come running out like that. Honestly, they're embarrassing. Spurs are so shit. The only one who... Half a fight was fucking Kudus. No, Van de Ven, mate. He made two... If Van de Ven wasn't on that pitch, they would have scored another two goals. I get it, you're running your hand of N 'Agenda. Did you see the goal-saving tackles he did?
52:25Yes, but also he also made mistakes leading to chances and he was a bit... He's the best player this season. He's been the only good player in the whole fucking team. He hasn't been... No, he hasn't... Well, I think he's been good on the pitch. Kudus has been good. That was a lovely goal. Wilson or Kudus? Kudus? Yeah, Kudus. Yeah, he took it well, didn't he? It was really... And to be fair, they could have nicked it at the end, couldn't they? with him and his cleared off the line, didn't he? Yep. Yeah, I thought, I just think they're so, this is my whole point about Frank, it's alright doing it at Brentford, you can do that at Brentford, or like Roy Hodgson would just like it with us, two banks of four, really hard to beat, go away from home, try and nick it, you can do that at West Brom, or Palace, or Brentford, when you get to one of the big boys, you can't play that way.
53:12Last year, I heard it, I think I was watching on the radio at some point, and they were saying last year at Brentford Frank he won like he went for a pin when he won 1-9 and got knocked out the cup by some shit team or something like that you can get away with that and that he was considered a success at Brentford yeah but if you do that as far as you're saying you can't get away with it I am coming round to that logic a little bit it's just it's a massive it's a massive disparity in scrutiny eyes on you and you can't play this is why I don't think Amarin will ever get United to the dizzy heights of before because you You can't, these top teams can't play on the counter.
53:51They can't all play three at the back. It's not sustainable. Before we move on to the London derby, Brighton beat Noron Forest 2-0. Right, Chelsea. Well done. Nothing happened to that game. Sorry. Also, do you know the second goal? I didn't realise until I watched the replay. I think that's going wide. And it comes off the defender. You know when he's just... The mix-up. Yeah but the second goal When he goes through And it comes back to him And he pokes it I think it's going wide And it hits I can't remember what defender it hits Also the I think it should have gone down As an own goal You know where You know where everyone was saying Like oh Marilla He tried to do a Cruyff turn I think he just stopped the ball Because he thought a defender Yeah It's not as It's a mix up But like He's a big stiff idiot He's not trying to do Cruyff turn He's just stopped the ball So the attack Anyway moving on I called this on stream actually Yeah you did say a draw I will say looking back at the game Chelsea actually played very well and Rhys James might be one of the best footballers they were really good on the counter I thought what was really impressive about Chelsea was even with 10 men it still looked like they were going to score they've had a good week Chelsea I'll tell you what now Palmer's back mate they're looking good Rhys James keeps playing like this Rhys James was fucking class would you get in at all time Arsenal Chelsea's 11 at centre yeah he just is a better midfielder Nah, he was so good.
55:16It was weird. He's just as good in either position. Throughout the game, they looked like favourites to go out and nick one and win it. I thought Arsenal were poor. I agree. For your standards. It probably was our least best performance this season. But it's been a great week for us, mate. Spurs, Bayern, Chelsea away. You've taken seven points out of that. 100%. It is interesting that there is a bigger gulf than anticipated. Yeah. Win-win draws. I get what you're saying there. There is a bigger gulf between your... starting centre-backs and these who came on it's always been points in the Champions League yeah I know you're right I thought it was a bit obviously they're clearly better but I thought they looked a bit panicky a bit rash Gabriel raises Mosquera and Saliba raises that's exactly it one of them the two needs to be alongside well it is like a concern where it's like look you got by but like yeah they did look a bit more to them together it does look but they've never played together that's understandable I was about to say it is normally a case when you put unfamiliar parents together yeah but then how good was like Declan was getting back in the box and defending.
56:16Yeah, yeah. I thought you were a bit sloppy on the ball. I thought you could have done more against 10 men to really wear them down. But again, maybe that's credit to Chelsea. Chelsea paid well. I thought Saka was good up against Cucarella. Yeah. You just weren't as controlling as we usually are. I always felt like, but I think Arsenal felt it, that if we do lose this, which is likely we're in trouble here. I meant losing the ball. anytime you lost the ball Chelsea were just on it it actually didn't feel like they're 10 men no ever which is the biggest compliment you can give I think a team with 10 men and when the one man that's lost is basically the guy that covers the most ground yeah he was reckless that was reckless you know that I think that's the fourth or fifth record this year yeah they've had a I'm so annoyed he got sent off that would have been such a good it was still a good game it was getting a bit spiked that's what you want it was like a bit of aggression the ref was letting certain things go but yeah I think going away without your two centre-halves.
57:12We'll take that. Whether it's 10 men or not, that's not a bad result for Arsenal at all. And Jokeres could have fucking scored in the end for Timber to cut off him. Yeah, literally. They were the headlines, mate. Jokeres. It's important not to lose. Jokeres. That would have made me sick, by the way. Jokeres winner. Oh my, if Jokeres won that. And having Lee's doing the celebration on the street, I would have been hating that. Lewis, it's Jokeres, he's not going to score against Jokeres. Yeah, it's true. I won't put it all the way. At what point do you need to start addressing that Mourinho might be the best strike in the world.
57:37Anyway, it's moving to the risk we are. Oh my God. Also, Jokra's nearly killed Sanchez, the dirty bastard. He should have been sent off. Yeah, and who was it? Cappy fucking elbowing him in the eye. It's my afraid I get over it. Moving on to a couple of little segments we like to call ranking our top 10 best signings of the season. We have just done Premier League, right? I mean, I did, yeah. Premier League. Yeah. I like this segment a lot because when we, do you remember we did this at the start a season before anyone had really kicked the ball and how we thought it'd be and we all had like predictions yeah yeah none of this come true that's not like us I am interested to see if there's any that I've missed off the top of my head but I think I've got a strong list I think there's a few that I don't know if I even agree I think it's quite hard to order like from five to ten I think people have a preference I give extra points if it's like a worse team getting a bit of a coup on the lower three I think that's a really clever transfer who would like to go first I'll go.
58:37Go ahead. Oh, but this is the correct answer. It's my answer. No, no, no, not with these things. Today I'll have the correct answer, by the way. Tenth, I've gone, I know it's not how to pronounce it, but Truffert. Truffert. Ninth, yeah, I just can't bring myself a tour like that. Ninth, I've gone Volta Marda. Oh, nice. Eighth, Henderson. Shit, yeah. Seventh, Esteval. In seven? yeah because I think these are better Estevez had a really good moment more in the Champions League though oh I still count that even though it's a Premier League I was thinking more Premier League teams 6 I got Chau yeah 5th Rufs yeah 4th Donnarumma yeah 3rd and Buemo oh my god I'm an idiot 2nd Zubemendi 1st Xhaka okay wait no no no you two can go last but they're judging by your reaction mine's not too bad mine's not too bad no no your reaction was sounded horrific I can forget any of it them.
59:34I did. Donnarumma. How can you forget Donnarumma? I don't know. I've got one. Hey, can I please go? Yeah, now you know what I've got this about there. I'm starting to worry that one of these didn't sign at the start of the season. In 10, I got Henderson. In 9, I got your boy Malichal. Okay. In 8, I got Mbwemo. 7, I got Dewsbury Hall. 8th Mbwemo? Yeah. Jesus. I forgot him. Yeah. 7, I got Dewsbury Hall. Dewsbury Hall's a great shot. I nearly had him in. In 6, I do have Eze. No. Who would have thought? Fifth, I've got Donnarumma. I think he's starting to get good now. No, but there's so many. He's had one amazing game.
1:00:12Tom, I'm an Arsenal fan. There's so many more players who are in the... I love him, Lewis. Yeah, but Henderson's been better than Eze. That's fair enough to say, but I also love... And he's on a three. I love Eze, Tom. In five, I've got Donnarumma. In four, I've got Lamons. I think this is... I'll tell you why, and I'll tell you why. They had such instability in goal, and ever since he has come in and taken number one score, saved the Jews' rule goal the other night. But their number one thing this year was a goalkeeper, I think. He's done... But that was above Donnarumma. I think... But we know Donnarumma.
1:00:42He's expected to be this good. That doesn't count against him. He was less transferred, B1-1. Whereas Lammons, he's actually cemented it. I agree Lammons, but he needed a goalkeeper. He hasn't been better than Roots. Yeah. Mate, come on. Yeah, that's fair enough. Above Donnarumma, he's been literally a man mountain. No, but I expected it from Donnarumma. Do you know what I mean? I know, but he's a man mountain. Whereas I didn't expect Lammans to come in and make it himself. I mean, I forgot Donovan in general. Do you know what I mean? I forgot him. I just feel like it's like troubles at the start of the year.
1:01:07Just think, guys, you just needed something. And he's fucking young. What is he, 21? Lammans? 21 million, 18 million quid. He's going to be, I think he's getting right. Robin Roos is better. Yeah, that's completely fair to say. I forgot about him, Tom. In three, I've got Xhaka. In two, I've got Zubamendi. And at one, I've got Esteval. What? Nah, mate. You've gone mad there. That's fucking crazy. You think Esteval's had more of an impact on Chelsea than Xhaka has for Sunderland? I thought that would be a universal one. I think Xhaka may be a little bit low, I will admit, in hindsight. Zubemendi's been better than Esteval?
1:01:42Yeah. That's why Zubemendi's in two. Maybe I'll swap Xhaka and Esteval, but I just think, like, Esteval, guys, he's 18 years old. This guy could go on, I know we'd talk about the future. He might, yeah, he might. I know, I know, I agree. But I think this, no, I know, I know, I know. He's a bother, like, Esteval is amazing. No, but I do agree. maybe he could be below Jakun Zmendi but I think Jakun Zmendi are the top two why are you putting two and three because I fucking love this kid and I think he's going to I think he's going to I know you were not doing I think he's going to go on to but why are you saying it then because I do think he's going to go on to be one of the best players in the world do you not think obviously like I get what you're saying impact everything change of culture if you've signed one of the future best players in the world that is and for that much of a fee but it's the top 10 no that's part of the yin and yang of getting a young player signing well I think he's been I think he's been incredible he's not he's not granted Jack has changed the club 29 million no I agree but I think I think Esteval is definitely I'm just trying to deflect anyway 29 mil for someone who's going to be a future like he could grow up and be worth like over 100 million quid yeah but he could also end up at fucking Dagenham and Redbridge in a few years true I don't personally I don't think he will that's where the opinions come in no of course but we're judging it on this season I understand why Jack is number one for you guys he signed this it's about players who signed this season but like that is the part of when you get a young player it's like you you are buying the future of that player as well as their performance right now but I understand why Xhaka and Zerminian he's coming and he's now club captain like he's a captain yeah yeah but that he's obviously going to come captain wouldn't he I'm just saying like in terms of everything no no I'm not disagreeing with you by the way I think I completely understand why you'd have Xhaka at number one yeah can I go next Lamons in 10th.
1:03:28Yeah, you know Bullmen. We've got Rufus in 9th. 8th. He's going to shout at me because it's a lawn. It's a sign in Grealish. I think that's a very clever lawn move. A lawn is a sign in and it is very, very clever and he's made a huge impact. He's made a top 10, mate. You've got to be holding. Getting him in on a lawn. Getting Grealish in on a lawn and seeing his impact. Yeah, he has. The amount of assists he's churning now. Oh, I spent the show there. He's doing great. When was his last assist? Well, we can have a look. He's had a great impact. He's so dangerous and clever. Even against us, his visions are so good.
1:03:58He's so well. It's a great sign for Everton. He's like a top quality player. He's got in on loan. I agree. He's a great player, but... I think that's a good return for Everton man Is he? And even like the stuff he does that aren't directly contributing to like XG and that. I mean, not XG, sorry. Goals and assists. Like he pulls the strings for them. I put Volta Madder above him in seventh. Yeah, I forgot him as well. Six, Drewsby Hall. Fifth, I'm nervous. I've either thought of the wrong player here or he hasn't signed. Igor Jesus is the one scoring all the goals, isn't he? Igor Thiago. He signed last year years ago, yeah.
1:04:36Oh yeah, I'm a fucking... I've been both of them signed prior to... No, Igor... Igor Jesus was the forest one. Was he not there left? Yeah, I thought that was the one to go on. Yeah, so... You've got Igor Jesus. Yeah, but I thought Igor Jesus was Igor Thiago in my head. You've got Igor... Why don't you just go on Fopmob and find his name? Well, because I thought I knew it in my head. You've got Igor... He's also... Yeah, I obviously don't think Igor Jesus is... You don't call him Igor Thiago. You call him Thiago, don't you? I know, but obviously the Igor bit has got me a bit confused. 11 games, zero goals.
1:05:05I don't actually think he's the fifth best signing of the season. But you have. Right, but even though you meant Igor Thiago, he didn't sign in the summer. Yeah, this is what I mean. I fucked up on two levels. Because Igor Jesus did sign in the summer, and in my head, I connected that to Igor Thiago. We know Thiago was injured all last season. Good prep, mate. Why wouldn't you just check? Well, I made a mistake for you. Yeah, I've made a mistake. Are you acting like you've never made a mistake on the prep? No, just quite a simple one. That's not even a mistake. Trying too hard over there, buddy.
1:05:35Fourth, Zubamendi. Third, I put Chao. could have had a bye fucking hell Lewis again like I don't think Supermendy Supermendy's come in and been one of the best midfielders in the league and they're top of the league and Charles came in and been one of the best setbacks in the league you're 13th this means you can talk about a position where five points off fifth but you're not yeah exactly you're 13 yeah but the thing is you're putting that down to Chow which is a weird correlation we aren't performing the way we should but you can still stand out performers Supermendy is a stand out performer he's a stand out performer one of the best teams in the world Zubermendi's a standout for the best team in Europe.
1:06:10Zubermendi's fourth. I think Chow, as a signing, Newcastle punching above the way, getting someone for 30 million who was performing as one of the top setbacks in the league. Punching above your weight? Yes, but Newcastle get a player who's on this top tier of a player and not get a beat. He couldn't even get a Milan team. That's, if anything, that's even better business. But you're saying he's a top tier player when he signed him. He wasn't. Theo, I'm saying he's a top tier player off how he's performing this season. Yeah, but that's not what you said, though. You said punching above the way.
1:06:37That's what I'm saying right now. Punching above our weight, signing a top tier player. I'm not surprised you're top three for you, to be honest. He's performing at top tier level right now. He's been great, yeah. We have signed a top tier player. We haven't created him into this player in this amount of time. He is that player. Right, okay. He is that player. I think that's discrediting how it's managed. Again, I feel like, I feel like genuinely this isn't a crazy thing. I'm disappointed in your list. I thought it'd be higher. Who's second? He genuinely is third. Second's Xhaka first, Esteval.
1:07:05You've got him number one as well. I agree. I think if you sign one of the potentially future best players in the world for£30 million did you put Boomer on yours? no I didn't say okay right well I'll admit you got no Boomer no I forgot him to be honest so I'm going to apologize for also no Ezag or Donnarumma or Eketike Donnarumma's a howler yeah I forgot did you get roofs in? yeah sorry for all the Manchester United fans watching this 10 I got Jordan Henderson 9 Hugo Eketike no yeah I thought that might happen I think yeah even I've taken him out and I've really I'd have a different person in there I've just I've forgotten a lot of people yeah he's got sent off he just hasn't really yeah and he's yeah I don't think he's scored for like two months that could well be true I'm disappointed already eight I've got Mokiele I thought it'd be yeah he's been good seven like Theo staying loyal Eze oh Jesus that is crazy he's a good signing he's a match winner and he's going to change games he's changed one game come on wait he won the Palace game as well I know but the amount of great signings that there were in this window I don't think Ezi is breaking into the top 10 I don't think it's crazy to say he could be top 10 I think it's crazy because he's not even got 10 I don't think it's crazy you've got him 7 yeah I agree I'm still top 10 okay 6 I've got Rufus 5 Malik Chow 4 Estaval 4 3rd Donnarumma and then the top 2 I thought would be Universal 2nd Zibar Mendy and 1st Xhaka yeah I thought they would be as well I'm really throw Esteval in there Steve as well Esteval's fourth for me I don't think he makes the top three who's your third Donnarumma I think he's the third best signing of the season he's a great signing I can't believe the bottom half of my list is a shit show but I'm happy to take the top three in terms of centre half lads could you make a case maybe not top ten but a mascara no nah next I can't believe you're putting down Chown you throw mascara into the mix I'm third mate I'm not saying mascara I'm ninth third Where would you put Mascara?
1:09:06Top 15, top 20. He's already played though. Yeah, but he's a good backup. Yeah, he's a good signing, but the amount of players who are actually playing and have been good signings. Yeah, that's completely fair to say. Yeah, I think he is as well. Dick Kuyper? I could do the worst signings. Huh? Dick Kuyper? Dick Kuyper's been good, yeah. He's been decent. Who's the worst signing? Utara. Yeah, he's worth it. Yeah, he's a lot of money. Yeah, 50 million. How much was he? Who's that? I was saying who's the worst signing, but that's next week. Oh, hi. Sorry, Dewsbury Hall, mate. Lads, do you want to see what your predictions for the best signings back in August were?
1:09:40Oh, yeah. I already know I said Virts, didn't I? I would have had Virts first. I think I have Ekotiga first. Hey, there's still plenty of the season left to play. I think I have Ezek second as well. See, the thing is, that's not even a bad opinion. You would think you just would have been... Oh, I'll eventually be right. I don't think I even voted Virts. Did you not? I don't think so. You said Brentford would get relegated, mate. Yeah. I think I had Volta Marder and you just laughed at me right there's an argument for him I think a lot of people laugh you ain't laughing now Louie's first
1:10:14oh yeah okay so first I've got Hugo Eketique then Reindeers Kyle Walker Xhaka Krelish Jao Pedro Vert in 6 Walker in 7th Palinja 8th Sean Longstaff 9th and Dewsby Hall 10th do you know what Lou Dewsby Hall's been a good signing Longstaff's been alright Longstaff has been good Paulina's been... What? Because that is Mormons. Not really. Jack a call is a good one. Yeah. Yeah. Honestly, the only one who's probably not in there is Vert. Who's top two? Who's top two? Reindeers and Ektika. I really really... Reindeers are... Both Ektika and Reindeers had a good start. I thought he was going to hit the ground with Reindeers.
1:10:48We did this after the Wolves down. I really like Reindeers. Yeah. I was told he was the new Gundogan. Yeah, he's not... Reindeers and Gundogan. Who's next? They all. Should we say yours? Yeah. Score down slowly. Slowly. All right, in first I had... Verts. Top two. Second I had Jokerez. Still might come... Karon scoring. Third I had Eze. Yeah, we take that. Fourth I got Rinders. Rinders. Fifth I got Jao Pedro. Very similar. Eketika in six. Yeah. Did we do this after the start of the season? I think so. Yeah. why we all have Rinders. 27th of August. He looked good though, didn't he? See, Grealish.
1:11:31Grealish in seven, come on. Yeah, Rinders did look really good. Eight, Xhaka. Bit low for Xhaka. Nine, Kudus. Not bad. And ten, Deuce Birol. He's in there. Good lad. Did none of you have a million on just now? I should have had him. I honestly should have had him. I think, yeah. He's poor. Yeah, I was between him and Henderson. I was like, Henderson was a three, so. Yeah. Yeah, true. Who next? And also, I expect that from Jews' B-Roller but he's like oh that's mine he's kind of playing how I expected go on Eketika in top three none of us have Izak so far no I don't think so I think I definitely did three Jack Grealish oh yeah see Jokeres Chokeres Jokeres in fourth Alenia Rinders in six Truffaut in seven oh Truffaut oh nice Truffaut Kudus very similar list Eze and then Cunha you've moved Eze Wait, none of us had him in Buemo?
1:12:23No. I don't think so. Why? I don't know. So stupid. I don't know. Was he like injured or something? Was he thick? I think not. It's opening games though. There was loads of jokes flying about him and pictures of him looking a bit tubby. Yeah. You know what I mean? It would have been mental. Go on then. It might be because, remember when he played Arsenal and he missed like two, three chances? Yeah, like he didn't have a great start. Very fickle, aren't we? Tom's is. Tom's is. I know, I've got his act off. I could TK top. No, you don't. I thought I had Isak far. Two. I think we did this before Isak had signed.
1:12:55Oh, no. I definitely would have had him. Two. JP. Three. Kudu. Oh, my God. Four. Rinders. Rindeers. Five. Kelleher. That's not a bad one. Six. Truffaut. Nice. Seven. Florinbers. Eight. Oh, fucking hell. Eight. Oh, I remember this one. Eight. Juve real. Juve real. Nine. What's he done? Kunya and ten. The one that Tom told us that was going to be the best thing in the world. He's been good. Mate, he's been good for West Ham. Malik Juve. Malik Juve. Juve's been good for West Ham. He's been a bright spark and a pile of shit. Well, yeah. That's not as bad as I thought it would be. Malik Juve, 10th best signing of the season.
1:13:41I think you were the only one that cooked with Jacka there, mate. Yeah, well done. That's a bit of knowledge from you, isn't it? I actually remember saying that was one thing you were missing, wasn't it? like a leader experience. No, I didn't. You did. Did I? Yeah. Damn, so I guess I win. That's actually not horrendous. You had Karl Walker. He's been good. No, he hasn't. I'm not even joking. I think I took the dub on that. Did you? You always think that? Yeah, I actually think I did. Let's know who you think won in the comments. In the comments. You've got Shocker, and Vert's top two. Yeah, you have not.
1:14:14I'm Ezia third. Shocker's a good mate. Right, moving on to the FIFA World Team of the Year has been announced. Is this why we're doing it? Has it been announced? Has it been announced? It hasn't been announced. Right, it has not been announced. Pitchside Team of the Year. It's coming up to the end of the year, guys. So we're going to be giving you our 2025 World Team of the Year under one condition. We have stated you're only allowed three per team. Yeah, but it's calendar year. 2025. Yeah, it's a bit of last season. Club World Cup in there and this season who would like to go first this time around?
1:14:51Lewis Bowden sticks his hand up I just want to get it out of the way okay no I think it's a good team so in goal Pope Donnarumma shit how did you come up with that one? what team? both no you can only choose this is how you get around what team? oh no I've chosen the Man City Donnarumma Man City yeah yeah Trent I've actually put right back what I mean I'm putting Trent right back he won the Prem left and Liverpool fell off Cliffsons he also can't really get in the Real Madrid team I'm picking the Liverpool version yeah but that's half a year yeah he won the league I'm taking the Liverpool Trent yeah but doesn't it have to be his entire 20-25 I don't know you tell me the rules I'm putting Trent in I could probably name five off the top of my head I'm taking last season's Liverpool Trent James Timber Hakimi Chelsea's all taken I'm playing oh no no no I didn't have Hakimi and I took him out no Trent's fine you had Hakimi and he put him in we were just talking sorry we were talking just the other week about how much Liverpool missed Trent yeah but we're talking about a world 11 I'm taking he was good for Liverpool but then he's been shocking since he's gone to Madrid I'm taking the Liverpool Trent I'm taking the Liverpool Trent what are we talking about it's the full year Lou it's the full year you just asked me which Donnarumma I'm taking no he was doing that to see how many even so Timber was a better right back last season I was trying to help you by saying the city done a rumor so you can get more PhD players in.
1:16:17This is a key thing about how it's a World XI. I've chosen people who have won trophies. Like, this team's all won. Yeah, that couldn't be an argument for it. This team's all won. But it is my argument. You've got no Arsenal players. No. What? Oh, jeez. We're doing a World XI. We're doing a World XI. We're doing a team of people who's won trophies. But you've got no Arsenal players. No, I've picked a team who's won. That's not how a World XI's picked. So you could have had timber then. It's like Ballon d 'Or. It's like Ballon d 'Or You have to win trophies Why do you? Well when I judge it This is your opinion Yeah in my opinion For World XI You've got to win trophies Okay so that's my question If I don't know Why did Rhys James Not right back then?
1:16:53If Baltimore Just scores 100 Premier League goals This next season But you win nothing Should you win the Ballon d 'Or? Yeah But you've just said They need to win some Because it's not black and white There is a level where you'd go Okay fair enough you're in But how many When you say that About Arsenal's players They've clearly got The best defence in the world But I don't think they're so clearly better than the people who are in that position and have also won trophies. You don't think Timber hasn't been clearly better than Trent this year? Didn't win trophies? No, I'm picking the Liverpool Trent.
1:17:19For the year of 2025, Timber's been astronomically better if you count both hard. It's really not that bad. A Trent who's won the Premier League into this World XI. Why not put Hakini in? Because I'm used different PSG players. Go on then, carry on. Van Dijk with Gabriel. Oh, I do have an Arsenal player. So you've just gone against your whole logic? Well, he's good enough in that position to... Oh my God! You just make shit up as you go. By the way, you're the biggest griff that I'm eating. It's like you're getting angry at me for using my own opinion. I'm not angry. But like, this is not how I made my team.
1:17:51You've just, you've just defeated your own argument within 10 seconds. I didn't, I told you, I told you, you have to be so far clear. Sir Gabrielle, he's so far clear of every other centre half, he's got to go in. Not every other centre half, but I have max three players each team. Van Brijke. I have max three players each team. Van Brijke's been fucking average this season. I could have put Bastoni in there but no I'll put Gabriel so obviously Van Dijk's been subpar this season right for his standards he's won the league I know he won the league last year he has enough money he has enough money in the bank what was his end of the season I can't remember he was good last season he was his normal self ultimately for me Van Dijk has enough money in the bank now where Apua start with Liverpool this season where we've all agreed all of them Apua they've been off it like Van Dijk is still my best centre up there with my best centre-backs in the league and the world Nuno Mendes, we're going to go Vitinha, Caicedo and Palmer, double world champions.
1:18:46Thank you very much. Palmer's a kill. Palmer was poor the back end of last season. He's a world champion. You know, wasn't the stat like he hadn't scored from open play in January? He's going to score on this team though, isn't he? Then he's hardly played this season. That's poor. And you know I'm the biggest fanboy of Cole Palmer. No, but he's world champion. Cole Palmer cannot go in this team. No, no. In this team, he's scored on goals. He did do very well in Club World Cup. Yeah, great for him all. But how much of a I know, I know, but how much of a weighted priority is the middle of the summer competition versus all the competition.
1:19:22He was. And he was okay. I know we joke about Club World Cup, but he did genuinely perform and he won the Club World Cup. He was great in the Club World Cup. and that happened in this season. How seriously were you taking that in competition? You're waiting that more than the end of the Champions League, the start of this year, all the competition I know before World XI I feel like that's the appropriate time to take seriously the Club World Cup because it's a World XI that's a Club World Cup this season he's not really featured is he front three you know look these guys can rotate they can do what they want we're going to go Yamal Kane and Dembele where's Mbappe he's fucking sitting on the bench right I'll go because that was fucking honking I've gone Donnarumma I've gone Rhys James Saliba Gabriel and I've gone Kukurela you've gone Saliba Gabriel's and a half yeah obviously the best two second halves in the world.
1:20:08I thought you'd like that. Kukurela left back. Then midfield, I've gone a bit more, less attacking because my front three can just do what they want. I've gone Vitinha, Royce and João Neves. João Neves. And then up front, I've gone Yamal, Mbappe and Dembele. Yeah, it's the front three everyone should have. I think, Kane, sorry, I just can't, yet again in the week, where is he when it matters in a big game? That midfield three I enjoyed a lot. Because Vitinha, mate, Vitinha's been scoring goals imagine the running Rice and Neves I'm surprised you didn't go Caicedo yeah I just I wanted to reward Vitinha and Neves yeah I was between Caicedo and Rice because I weren't going to drop Vitinha yeah and I could have gone instead of Neves but again I think he's been class and they were the best team in Europe I thought yeah right then now time for my team in goal I also have Donnarumma at Manchester City right back I've got Jerry and Timber but I can see I can see the argument for Rhys James but I just think Timber's been all the games he played last year mate he hasn't been in in like a year yeah come on I think Timber and James played the same amount of games in the last year what's the most availability also do you now admit I'll watch your thing with was it O 'Hara or no the Chelsea Arsenal one Rhys James is way better than Timber any
1:21:36be honest do you think I never knew this was a thought he had no it's not I said Timber's had a better season he hasn't though you do what I used to do where you're like he did have a better season and up until last week it was a debate Rhys James has been the best right back or whatever position he's played in he's been the best in the league this season he's been amazing nearly every game prior to yesterday's match there was a case yes that's fair I think that's a that is a case and now yeah obviously I know how good fucking Rhys James is mate You can't put him at right back anymore. No, but centre mid.
1:22:04Centre mid anyway. He has been playing right back as well. You can't do it. He's centre mid, mate. Gusto's right back. Say he's better. Gusto. He's better centre mid, yeah, for sure. No, say he's better right back. That's not the question. Would you make an all-time Chelsea or all-time XI in midfield? Who? Rhys James. Genuinely, as midfielders. As midfielders. Why not? You go Rhys James, Essien, Lampard. McAlealy. Which defender do you think's the best midfielder out of Stones, Trent, Rhys James? Oh, good question. The Theo Baker question. I think John Stones had the better season overall in midfield.
1:22:35But if Rhys James continues to take... Why are you acting like he played the whole season in midfield? He had a little period. Let him cook. Let him cook. I think if Rhys James continues to play... And after that period, he started at centre-back and moved into midfield. No, let him cook. He's an expert on right-back playing in centre-mid. He won the Champions League from midfield. Yeah, see? Until Rhys James does that, it goes Stones, Rhys James, Trent, sadly. But Trent's in an all-time man United, Liverpool XI. Oh my god, the others are very good. That shows you how good the levels are of stones.
1:23:04Yeah, yeah, yeah. John Trans and Rhys James are better than Roy Keane as well. Yeah, obviously. Would you suck off your dad to save your mum's life? That's not irrelevant. Would you? That's not relevant. Would you? No. Would you though? Would you? No. You wouldn't? No. You'd let your mum die. Mate, that's fucking awful. I'm doing a heartbeat. Well, talking about you. To save my mum's life? Yeah, but you've got to eye contact while you do it as well. And also your mum's irrelevant. Reluctantly. Would you suck off your dad? Reluctantly, but I mean, to save my mum.
1:23:31That's harrowing Sorry dad Carry on Van Dyke, Gabriel And then I can't believe You've all got Van Dyke Yeah you fucking stink of shit No one's a bigger fanboy Than Van Dyke And Parma Than me But I haven't even Put them in like The whole year Sorry He's the biggest fanboy He's the certified Biggest fanboy The argument for Parma Yeah I understand But Van Dyke It's still like You think Van Dyke's been better Than Saliba this whole year
1:24:02There you go There's an argument there I've had a howler Because I forgot I had three players But don't worry Yeah I could have Done Timber Saliba and Gabriel But then No I couldn't actually I couldn't do that I couldn't do that So I had to put I'm not arguing too well Why don't you put Bastonian He's been better than Van Dijk This year No I don't know about that Yeah he's got Champions League final mate You don't watch Inter Yes I do What was the score On the weekend They actually won 2-1 Against like Agurd or some shit team Like that The French team Not a girl He's got like a blue symbol I think it is I think he might be right Yeah I already had three Arsenal Sorry I feel like you're There you go I think you're in a French team Have they got like a blue badge They played Yeah I feel like They went 2-0 away 2-0 away Close Blue badge Is it a blue badge?
1:24:42No it's black with red It's blue isn't it? No it's black Yeah it's Pisa That's what I said The leaning tower Oh I was thinking The Inter Milan badge It's got a bit of blue on it It's a bit of blue I knew I saw blue somewhere It was the Inter badge I'm trying to see If this is the team No I know a girl I go to centre half yeah he is Nathan no I'm trying to see you mean Oxir is that the team bad you're thinking of no it's not why would they play cross that's what I thought I thought he was getting I thought you were thinking right let me just finish my fucking team before Theo talks yeah because it's stinky it's not mate it's your midfield Rice Pedri and Vitinha and then a front three of Dembele and Bappe Yamal Pedri I suppose he's been good I took him out for Vitinha but I like Pedri I used my PSG slots I don't know I don't know and who's up front Petri Brown in a game against us.
1:25:29It's obvious front three, yeah. I thought it was pretty obvious front three. Who would you put in center back if it's not Van Dijk then? Because I've used my arse. I've used my arse. And then you someone else at right back? Rhys James? No. I've realised that... That's then just your team? No. Okay, then I would have had Pacho over Van Dijk. Have you fucked it? Yeah. It's not a big fuck. It is. Okay, maybe... It's not that big. Don't make it into that. That actually is my issue. Guys, Steele's got his list. Van Dijk is in a terrible peak I just think there's been better Over the whole year More consistent centre-halves Oh my god This is a stinger Go on then Oh my god I thought I had three Arsenal players then So I couldn't go For a player So you've You've only got two I actually did have three This is why I couldn't Go on You've got to No go on carry on You'll be able to figure out What player I might miss out for Use it Jocker as Hey Gerd Muller Gerd Muller In goal I've got Donnarumma Right back I've got Hakimi Centre backs We've got Bastoni And Gabriel With two left footers Nice Cucurella left back In hindsight Thomas Why are you telling me?
1:26:37What about these two? Because you're my Saliba case right here Yeah not having Saliba Stinky Yes I thought I had Three Arsenal But it turns out I only have two That stinks I feel That's a two howler No it's not It's something With your team mate Midfield of Rice Caicedo and Vettinia I thought everyone Would have that As a midfield Personally I only had one player differently yeah I've just got Jean Neves who won the Champions League instead Can't say they won the club well Prioritise winners yeah yeah that didn't help you front three of Yamal Mbappe and Dembele nice yeah fucking I feel like it almost picks itself apart from a couple players why are they different then Saliba should have been in over Bastoni but what can he do Bastoni still picks Saliba he's still got Champions League final he's a pretty good defender also you've got four PSG players?
1:27:27No, I don't. Yeah, you do. No, I don't. Dembele, Vettigia and Hakimi. You do? And Donnarumma. City. No, you're not allowed that. It says right there, City, look, City. PSG City. Nice. Yeah, good boy. Say sorry. No, I thought, I apologise, I thought you had Neves as well. No, I have Rice, Vettigia, Casada. But you can let us know your team in the comments, the one with the abuse. Who was your front three again? I had the same as yours, but Kiernan instead of Mbappe. So nonsense. Mbappe's like I love him he's about to break the Real Madrid calendar year record I think you put Kane in that Real Madrid team he scores just relaying information he's actually got six that's exactly what you did he's got to score seven goals in six games it's going to be quite hard is it?
1:28:08Mbappe who's he against? who's he playing? he's actually so good it's also World Cup what are the Real Madrid fixtures Will? we can work out how many he's about to score Real Madrid who've they got in the Champions League because he might just get four in that game Alonso might get sacked if they don't get a result against the Athletic Club apparently really yeah all the papers are going about it now is that true yeah apparently they're looking very closely at that game for a result they're one point behind Barcelona I know I was confused by it as well I don't know what the fuck is going on about it's because they have like objective differences you reckon the players want to go out are they level on points with everyone in second place Ramadou reportedly retained trust in Xabi Alonso I don't know I'm not familiar with tribuna.com Twitter so you're just lying no I was reading it on Twitter inside the New York Times there inside differences in the dressing room it's because under Ancelotti they had more freedom to just go out and do whatever they wanted I like to think the athletics are more reliable he's a bit more of a authoritarian Trent started starting games again though last three games he got his three starts in a row and he was shouting at me just helping his case One win In the last two though So maybe I was right Maybe I was cooking Maybe He was shit against Olympiacos Yeah Was it Olympiacos?
1:29:31They won 4-3 didn't they? At the Mbappe quad Was it 4? Yeah you got all 4'd in it Fucking joke Okay Anyway Thank you for watching Make sure you like, subscribe And put a finger up your bum We'll see you on Wednesday You made it to the end Well done you And if you haven't already Hit the follow button Why not Tap it right now for new episodes every week.
