In short
Pitchside discusses Manchester United’s “crisis” after cup exits, the likely managerial next step (Darren Fletcher vs Michael Carrick vs a summer appointment), and then runs a “keep/sell” review of United’s squad. They also debate the best Premier League XI from 2020-2025 and finish with reactions to wild 2026 subscriber predictions.
Guests/backgrounds
The episode is hosted by the Pitchside panel (multiple regulars). Named participants include Will, Lewis, Tom, and “Reeve” (panel member). No formal guest bios are given in the transcript.
Key claims
- Man United’s cup knockouts reduce their total matches to the fewest possible for a PL side (around 40 games).
- United’s problems are partly coaching/structure (switching between 3 at the back and 4) and partly player quality/defensive accountability.
- “United DNA” talk is mostly nonsense; style depends on managers and winning.
- Ferguson’s continued advisory presence is argued to be blocking progress.
- Bruno Fernandes is likely to stay unless a major change/offer arrives.
Notable examples
- FA Cup upset: Macclesfield beating Crystal Palace (117-place gap); Arsenal beating Portsmouth; Wrexham’s upset.
- United knocked out of the FA Cup (and earlier League Cup first round vs Grimsby mentioned).
- Player debate examples: keep/sell calls on Onana/Lamond/Heaton, Maguire, Martinez, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, and Kobbie Mainoo; Rashford linked to a potential Barcelona move.

And I can And Reeve is back Full panel Full panel Come on A lot of people said It's been your best performance In the last couple of weeks I was only away for a week How can it be a couple of weeks?
1:45Streams in debt Everyday drags When you're not with us Yeah you make everyday Feel so much better Also when I walked in this morning I saw your Beautiful yellow smile And I thought wow You're radiating Yeah I've got full yellow Triple yellow What top is that? I was confused I thought it was a ski shot No, it's like a... Is it a... A Dortmund Hockey? It's like an NFL Dortmund top. Oh, yeah, it's hockey. I think it's a Dortmund Hockey. NHL Dortmund. You should wear that over your ski jacket. You look hard as hell. This is the first ever episode we did. Oh, right. When we launched Pitchside. Yeah.
2:15That's Pitchside Heritage. Over four years ago, by the way, with Ben Foster. Thanks for tuning in all those years. Chris MD. Chris MD? Christmas first, yeah. Happy New Year. Yeah, and Happy New Year, guys. It was an FA Cup weekend. Yes. And first of all, big shout out to Macclesfield. Big shout out. Big up, my cup. We love 40. Biggest FA Cup knockout. What was it? Biggest FA Cup upset ever, period. Why is that period? Because it was the furthest in the table gap ever. 117. Yeah. 117 places below Premier League side Crystal Palace. And they instantly fucked my nine players aca. So thank you very much for that.
2:59But you put one on the early kickoff. I had one on all the absolute bankers I had like nine of them Oh classic I will say though There's no such thing as a banker in the FA Cup Well I've learned not the hard way You know Did you watch the Palace Macclesfield game? No Mate they were unreal I was flying Oh you were flying They were genuinely like really good Palace were awful Adam Walton was terrible Yeah They seem Macclesfield deserved They seem ridiculously leggy at the moment don't they Crystal Palace just across the board They need to strengthen ASAP basically That's the second goal they scored I was like, the keeper sort of went the wrong way and then sat down for a little bit and then realised, oh shit, it's going to go away.
3:34Both goals were terrible. Gay here had a big old chat with the fans after the game, Dan, if you saw that. I don't know whether it was, sorry we've lost to Macclesfield or sorry goodbye. Who knows? Sorry I'm leaving you with this. But Wayne Rooney was in tears after the game. Obviously, his brother John was managing Macclesfield. I didn't know that. Yeah, I thought, where's Robbie Savage gone? He's at Forest Green. Yeah. Has he? Manages Forest Green now. Wow. It was a pretty cool watch. I fucking love the FA Cup, by the way. I think it's the best competition. I absolutely love it. I wish it wasn't behind a paywall.
4:07There's some good game. It's true. It should be on BBC. That game was. No, all the other games weren't. It spread across like four different things. I was trying to search. I was trying to search where the hell the game is. Why are not all the games on? It's FA Cup. It doesn't mean football. And they stuck the two Sunday games on. They were basically Premier League fixtures. That's never been a thing, though. I know, but it should be. Just put them all on. It's the FA Cup Just put it all on BBC You know when you were a kid They can't When you were a kid Like just put it on a BBC FA Cup It was unreal wasn't it Just do it I don't understand what you're There was games on BBC Yeah I've just realised 3pm's are always behind You can't watch the 3pm games anyway Spots have been playing like 3pm's recently Sometimes No that was on the That was on the bank Like the bank holiday wasn't it Yeah You've been doing some 3pm It was on the Sunday Still No it's not still But isn't it still 3 The blackout's Saturday 3pm TNT now only FA Cup The majority of games are on TNT Yeah there's less games on BBC Yeah but that's 3 o 'clock on a Saturday though That's not what he's on about That's not what I'm on about But anyways There should be more games on Terrestrial Telly Wasn't the only upset I know Arsenal managed to beat Portsmouth Martinelli hat trick Arsenal went 1-0 down Wrexham's an upset too That was a cup set That was a cup set.
5:28I'll tell you what, it was a great weekend. It was good football. This is why we love the FA Cup. Good chairman versus bad chairman, really. Mate, Wrexham were buzzing with that result, weren't they? Well, yeah. No. They were good. You don't get this anywhere else, lads. Man United got knocked out, though. And now this will mean that Man United will play the least amount of football you possibly can as a Premier League side. Yeah. Which is 40 games. Fewest they have. 38 in the Premier League. 1914. knocked out in the League Cup not in the FA Cup first time that's it 40 games are you sure that's correct though yes in terms of the fewest possible it's on the dog it is how far did they get in the League Cup that was their first game they lost in the first round of that as well it's the fewest game possible yeah I mean it'll do the Champions League chances good maybe Eze's already played like 29 games this season he's almost finished United's total games he'll play I feel like most people would have I tell you what though I think he's not looking a little bit unbothered.
6:29Like, Sesko starts to look like he's actually a striker now. He's looking like he's got a new lease of confidence, I feel. He's been really good. If you look at it on paper, they got knocked out by Grimsby. Then they got knocked out by Brighton. They've just drew to Burnley. What do you think happens? Darren Fletcher's obviously probably not going to get the job for the rest of the season interim. It looks like they might be going for Carrick, but I think Carrick doesn't even make any sense. because they've also said he nailed on to get the job yeah but they've also said if they go for character we will be interim yeah so why would he only take an interim job why would he I think he's generally a better manager yeah but they said they're not going to do it they said the same about Oli though if he went on and won every game or did exceedingly well like they're going to keep him on you know what I mean Oli went in as an interim and then he got the full time job because he did so well what I mean by that is that this summer after the World Cup there's going to be like Ancelotti Tommy T maybe Pochettino all these big names after World Cup who would probably be more suited I think that's why they're getting an interim to bridge the gap so Michael Carrick just goes there for five months yeah but what else he's going to do he's going to be unemployed he can say look this is the job I did at Man United and then he can get probably a bigger job rather than saying you're not going to turn down the Man United job are you for six months well he's going to have to ask for Sargson's permission first but he'll see if he grants it see if he says yes you're allowed the job what's that Sargson knighting him with the boot could have gone very differently with the boot with the boot he threw the boot oh yeah I know football what do you think happens to United first of the season then only have the league now to focus on Bruno Fernandes is back I still think they'll finish in Europe and Bumo's back right yeah they've got and Diallo yeah semi full strength again they'll be fine I think didn't you predict them top four yeah no you didn't well at the start of the season no no predictions a couple weeks ago yeah and he's had a bet with me that they'll finish above Liverpool?
8:24Did you? That's a bad bet. Did I? Yeah. I don't believe that. What were the six? It's almost like we've got cameras. Oh, I did because I said Villa third, didn't I? Man United fourth, Liverpool fifth. I don't know. I've got it on my nose. I don't... I think 100 pounds. Hey, with the Sesco form coming in right now, anything can happen. And they only got the Premier League play, you've just named all the teams they've failed to beat in the last few weeks. Yeah, but now... Sesco's playing. Now they've only got the league to focus on. Right. Which is true. if Cescou gets firing like he's looking like he is a bit then it should be well it fixes a big problem he should have a lot of service now yeah and he just it always didn't make sense but now he's actually starting to finish and he gets a bit of confidence he is actually fast and powerful are you still adamant he's going to make team of the season or not I might actually be in for a world I don't want him to because we need to finish the world yeah Thiago's got that nailed down really that you think they should sell that was what I was going to ask actually I was going to get you through to go through with the Man United squad here and look at the players and say, they're really good enough for Man United.
9:26Keep them, sell them. Do you know what, Will, I think you raise a good point here because Darren Fletcher, like, it can't just be a management thing. Do you not think, like, to draw at Berlin to lose in the FA Cup? Berlin is not. They always play a win. Is it not just a case of, yeah, maybe the management has got it wrong and the different formation, but are the players just not actually that good enough? It can be a mixture, can't it? Like, defensively especially. Do you know what I mean? Because on paper their attack looks pretty good but then not really well. There's a certain level of accountability for both but like ultimately the manager chooses how the team plays.
10:01And also they've been playing three at the back for how long and then suddenly gone back to a four. It's the weekend. I don't know. I don't think they're very well coached if I'm honest. And that's why they need like a proper proper guy in charge. Well it's true someone with a lot of experience I think. who can't man manage them better as well as coaching better. They went through a transition period getting Amrim and then they're going to have to transition again before they get another manager which they'll transition a third time. A lot of the players would have been used to playing like four at the back throughout their lives.
10:34So it should be that nice to transition back to it. Get in, day out, doing these coaching drills for a different style of football and suddenly changing. You're going to need a bit of period just to be like, what the hell's going on here? I'm surprised he didn't stick with the three at the back while he was in charge, Fletcher. he wanted to but do you not think that's just a manager just trying to be like look I am good enough and this will work and like trying to make a statement and it just hasn't worked no because he played it the first game didn't he what was their first game he played three at the back of the first game who did they play Burnley Burnley won it I'm sure he played three at the back then then he went to four I don't know well what could we expect from you because you're a championship watcher what can we expect from Carrick he was doing a good job wasn't he and then it sort of like tailed off he did okay but he did lose his star striker didn't he
11:20Honestly, I don't know Because he's never had this calibre of a prior So managing middles was very different In terms of the calibre He did a good job with them Especially initially Yeah, I think they were 17th when he took over He got them in the playoffs Then he lost Alath the next season Then got sacked So I'll be honest It depends on I don't think It depends how like if he's going to actually steer away from this whole bullshit about the United DNA and like, we just need to fucking, we just need to care loads and like get fast wingers and whip the boys to load this shit. Why is it so much about like, doesn't every, it makes me laugh when people go, oh, that's not the way our club plays or that's not our DNA.
12:03What is team's DNA then? Barcelona's tiki-taka. Doesn't every fan, you don't play that anymore? You're not moaning. No, but that's, you've just signed a throw-in coach. I think you said Arsenal Barcelona Oh But Barcelona don't play Tiki-Taka now They play a high line No but that would be But you know what though Tom It helps when you're winning No of course You know what I mean Before Fans I think when they're losing They like to say It's not our dinner This is not the way Like you look at West Ham Sure They were winning Yeah but what is the West Ham DNA Because in my opinion The West Ham DNA is horrible Hard to beat Tough place to go Not fast flowing football Yeah So just because DNA is brought in by managers It's not a lot of shit.
12:43Yeah. It's also a load of shit because... Sean Dyche's DNA is very different. Doesn't every club think we should play good football, that's our DNA? No. Isn't that what every club thinks? No. I think you have to be more pragmatic and think about it. Because if West Ham think it, then who the fuck, like, everyone should think it. And also, having a DNA... Dyche and Burnley would be like... Yeah, but Burnley don't play that way. No, that's what I'm saying. So the DNA is brought in by managers rather than it being a club. DNA, all this DNA bullshit is just, what was the most successful period in your club?
13:10Oh, that's our DNA. There's a load of shit. Man United didn't play fast-flowing, get-the-ball-wide-wingers football before Ferguson or after Ferguson. Going back to the Barcelona thing, though. And also, Ferguson played different styles. I don't understand the United DNA. But the Barcelona DNA, that stems from decades of also implementing that style into the youth academy as well, like decades of stuff. But also nearly every team in Spain plays possession-based football. I know, but Barcelona are notoriously famous for that. They were the best at it. Yeah, but compared to like a Real Madrid during the Galacticos wasn't known as for ticky-tacky.
13:44Do you see what I'm saying? Neither were Barca before, Peer. Different football cultures are like mostly country-based as well. The way you think about great Italian teams over the years, they're more defensively sound than... Man United, like fast-flowing, like counter-attack football. That's British, that's English football. Yeah, absolutely. It's hard, like fast, like powerful, get stuck in. Chelsea, GNA, get rid of managers every six months. Well, Chelsea are a big one who I will say. That's like, this is Chelsea. If you don't win, you're out. And it's like... That's GNA. It sounds more like Entitlement than DNA But again That's not true Because that was only During Abramovich Before Abramovich I agree It's not true They haven't been like that But I'm saying That's what It's just It's just It's just Oh yeah Let's get Carrick in A man who Technically failed A championship club To manage The biggest club in the world Or the biggest club in the country Because he knows the club What does he need to know Where the toilets are Do you think Oli would be better then Right now With his experience Then you're rehiring someone.
14:40He failed. Yeah. And also was thrown under the bus by most of the people at the club as well. And he's just like tonguing his tail between his legs. It'd be horrendous nostalgia by us as well to look back on that period and think it was better than it was. He's there every week. Yeah. He's in the training ground every week. If you actually look at the run that got Oli sacked at the end, it is fucking abysmal, by the way. I can't remember the results, but it was just endless, heavy losses. I can't remember the results. I've seen the old day and it was just heavy loss heavy loss against terrible teams it's like you don't want to go back to that I think it's fucking embarrassing that this no it's just they played a different style which Man United fans look back on with nostalgia and you know like rose tinted glasses when in reality it wasn't ever as good and it's like yeah yeah yeah he was doing well for a bit I think if they I think the the proof of being the pudding in the summer if they get if they get someone in quickly i.e.
15:32Enrique or someone after the World Cup I don't know then that's been the plan on it but if not then they've just sacked Amarim and gone oh fuck now what do we do let's get an old player in I think you're right I don't think they actually had a plan they're winging it I think yeah Amarim's results weren't good but they were but I think they were that's not why they sacked Amarim no I'm saying that's what I'm saying if you'd have finished let me finish I'm saying they planned to have him to the end of the season at least and give him the time but then obviously they had to fall out and now they're like oh shit we have to fire him what the fuck do we do now we haven't we've had no plan for this.
16:08I'm now at the point where I think I don't think United will ever improve or get better until Ferguson's away from the club. Why is he still around advising? Why? He's a fan. But also, is it not proof at this point that his advisory role, he's been incredibly unsuccessful because you've been absolutely diabolical in every sort of strand of the club bar a couple of seasons where you've done something. So if any other person in that role is like, sorry mate, you're out. They can't move on. Yeah. It's embarrassing. They can't move on. The way Fletcher spoke about it the other day, I felt cringy. It's cringy as hell.
16:40It was minging. It makes me wonder, like, what did he do to them? Is it like a stop-off scene? I had to get his permission and I had to. They're just idolising. Why? He did a great job. You know, move on. Why is he still around the club? Ask for exactly what they should be doing. None of the club legends hang around and try and do all this and that. Wenger's not there sitting every single week going, I think you should do this. Do you think Arteta was like Oh I need fingers He's got a better role Than Houndy Mouth You did also You hounded about the club mate He's banned from the stadium Wenger out t-shirts All that You used to wear I didn't agree Remember that You threw your greatest manager Under the bus Don't throw me into that mate I just think How can you move How can the club Ever move on or progress When it's still stuck With like Fergie Just over Do you know what it's like It's weird It's like you break up With your ex I knew you were going to say that It's like you break up With your ex But you don't block her You still got your phone Just like Every time you go over On WhatsApp So I still, and then it ruins every relationship.
17:35No, it's actually asking your ex what her opinion is. What do you think about Stacey? And before you get with anyone, she's going, yeah, yeah, go with that girl. Like the crazy. That's what it is. And then it fails. And she's like, I actually now think, I actually now think he's doing it. He's doing it on purpose to make his legacy. No one was better than me. Yeah. Yeah, go and get Carrick. A fucking championship manager who failed. Fuck me. This is drawing hell from Old Trafford. We've cracked the code. Honestly, it's embarrassing. Anyway, should we do what we were suggesting? Yeah, let's go for the squad.
18:18So let's have a look through their squad now. And you can see... Five keep sell. It's interesting because we did this a while ago. Keep or sell. And I wonder if there's any who we said keep, who we would change to sell now. Because we did it probably last season. Are you asking like we'll remember? Probably mainly. No, if you're in the comments, I imagine yous will remember because you remember everything, don't you? Right. Was that Dig? Yes. He is the squad. Still eating his apple. We'll see the worst food to hear someone eat on a podcast, by the way. No, it'd be crazy. Sell by Inder. Keep Tom Heating.
18:49Do we get a group decision? Time for the segment of Theo series who we keep in the sell. Sell by Inder. Yeah, sell. I'd keep. I'm just not keeping. What the fuck are you going to do? You need three keepers anyway. You need three keepers. Why are you going to get rid of all of them? I think the keepers, they just keep the keepers. He's not going to play. This is the issue though. You're hoarding players. Because you need three keepers. What are the options they have? They're not buying goalkeepers, are they? If they had seven goalkeepers like Chelsea did at one point, I understand. Do you not think they need a better goalie to push Lamont?
19:21I have bigger problems on that, mate. This is my point. Lou, this is my point right now, right? When you're moving house, when you're trying to clear out, There's so many things you're attached to, but you don't need. You're not seeing it in fucking years. You do need tobacco keepers. You're hoarding players. What keepers would they have on the bench? What good keepers would they have on the bench? The metaphor you're doing is you're moving house and you're going, right, I've got one sofa, two chairs. Oh, I don't really need that chair. I'm going to get rid of the chair when in reality, you need everything that you need to sit.
19:47No, no, no, no, no. I want a better new chair. What good keeper can they try to sit on the bench? Is that really an area where they need? It's not the issue. Lamont's fine and he's alright but we're not talking about we're not doing it realistic we're looking at players and saying are they good enough for Man United as a second keeper I'd say yeah that's fine he's your second that's the issue who are you going to the issue for Man United is the fact that their second goalkeeper is not good enough yeah that is an issue of course it's an issue you said that's the issue I said that's an issue you said that's the issue by that logic we're going to end up with like four or five yeah and maybe that's what they need to fucking do who did they get in there Who did they get in as a second goalkeeper?
20:27You're not being realistic. Who did they get in as a second goalkeeper? We're not being realistic. We're going for this. Yes, we are. You may never be. Are these players good enough for Man United? Buy or sell? That isn't what we're asking. It's buy, sell or keep. But it's like Lewis always says. You can't sell everyone. Lewis always says there's Manchester United and there's Manchester United. Currently, they're in the second Manchester United. Yeah, this is Manchester United. We need to think about what they're currently sat at. You can't just say sell for everyone because the DNA suggests that the last game.
20:54It's very rare that a good keeper will happily just sit on the bench and never play. To be fair, last season you had Kepa starting for Bournemouth. You've got top 10 and now he's second choice. Yeah, but that's Arsenal. This is Man United. I'm still going to win trophies. But it needs to be realistic. Man United only have the Premier League. They're not going to be rotating keepers in cup competitions. That keeper's going to sit on the bench unless something injury happens. Also, Kepa's shit. Also, secondary boy, Kepa's useless. Kepa's about as good as Bayern there. Right, Tom Heaton. Kepa, he's third choice.
21:23I mean, yeah. Unless he's retiring. Onono's on loan at Trez. Is that an obligation to buy, maybe? I'd sell him anyway. Yeah, he's going to go in. He's going to be on big wages. Keep Lamo. Is it Lammond's or Lamo? I don't know. I like him, to be fair. I still think he would have been better off with Martinez, but long-term, Lammond's is good, isn't he? He's for a future purchase, isn't he? Right. This is where we get to the point of like, it was only a few years ago, the Arsenal squad had like a lot of dead wood from like an era that just like wasn't successful so here's what you do Dallot sell Masraoui we're doing it one at a time we go for them all Dallot has to got a goal I'd sell Dallot yeah even though you argued that last week yeah but I said he's not the priority sell you said one player to sell but anyways we'll move on wait wait did you say Dallot when was he arguing against this if they go for solid squad if they go four at the back Masraoui hang on hang on so he's a solid squad but sell him but he's a solid squad player that makes no sense yeah because I think if we really need to fix up Man United what would you get rid of the solid squad players we need to stitch up what he said to you last week because he's definitely you weren't seeing this you are I'll keep him oh fucking hell you are I would Masraou is an interesting one because he's apparently he's part of the he's part of the leadership team there as well well I mean that's even more of a reason to keep him then I'd keep Masraou I think he's pretty pretty good.
22:50Did it? Yeah, keep. He's coming into his own now, isn't he? Harry? Keep. Keep. Maguire? Definitely keep. He almost done it again, by the way. He almost done it again at the end of the Brighton game. You never know if he does, you know, keep him for that reason. Lissandro Martinez? Keep. I'd settle him. Would you? I'm not a big fan of him, no. Really? I think he's handy. I think he's handy. If you're going to play two centre-backs, I wouldn't mind him on the bench. But he was also kind of useful when they were... You can fill him in holding me, yeah, I think you could get good money for him and go and get a top centre half.
23:19Yeah, probably is true. You could definitely get good money for him. He would do all right in La Liga. Atletico Madrid. Right, Molassi. Don't let Molassi go away. I'd get rid of him. Did you hear about the rumour about Molassi? It was like, he just doesn't actually play for the club anymore. He was missing for like a year. No photos, nothing. He's been injured. What do you mean? No, I know, but there was like no photos of him. Oh. Of any 10-iron fingers. His Instagram went quiet, everything. Wow. Dorgoo. I like him. I'd keep Dorgoo. I think he's alright. Yaro. I don't really like him. He's crap, isn't he?
23:50I don't really like him. No, he's not crap, but... You could get money from him. You could get money from him. No, they've only just signed him. He's only young. They're going to keep him. They're going to keep him. I don't think he's a... I don't like him. He is very highly thought of, isn't he? They paid big money for him. Maybe lawn him out then. Nah. That's not an option. It's just keep or sell, Luke. Keep sell a loan. I'd sell him personally. Luke Shaw. Sell. I'd get rid of Luke Shaw now. I think his time's up. absolutely but it's one of the ones you're doing the hoarding thing no I understand that but it's like right I don't know yeah who's going to you're doing hoarding yeah I am hoarding I am hoarding he could easily go to a mid table club and just have a solid rest of his few years I just feel like I feel like experience is important in the team as well and like I feel like he is a player who has no but experience at the club and who knows the club inside out I feel like you need to have one or two of those players in the team there are plenty of them have they got many who've been there Bruno Fernandes Harry Maguire yeah yeah I guess I guess you get rid of him but also Luke Shaw I like him though yeah but he's he's injury prone yeah I remember he hasn't been great has he for a while like he would just do a solid job at like a Brent play you're not going to really get money for him exactly off the wage but he's probably on 200 grand a week yeah he will be up play Aidan Heaven keep yeah he's good I think he's good Fredrickson keep yeah Diego Leon keep who's that I just know him from footy manager and Hamas is on loan isn't he Yeah, they'll bring him back and he can take Schor's role.
25:15Not that Amarin knew anything about him. If they think he's ready enough. Mason Mount. That's one of the... I'd keep him. That's a 50-50 for me. I would keep him. I'd keep all their midfields. I think he has a ceiling. He hasn't reached yet. I'd get rid of a Garte and then keep the rest. Yeah, Garte's got to go. Yeah, I'd keep Mane. How many more years do you reckon Casemiro's got in him? One. Yeah. Could you get rid of Casemiro, actually? What's his contract saying? Stock is back up now. You want to sell when he's at a peak. He's the highest player at the club, isn't he? I think if you sell him now, you don't want to sell him when he's shit.
25:48He has been good though. I know, but he is going to fall back off again eventually. He's old. If they sell Casuero, who's going to play Holden with? But he's going to have to go at some point. You want to sell him when you can get money for him, don't you? You don't want to sell him when he's at his shitst again. Yeah. Everyone see Bruno's tweets last night? Only the one you linked, yeah. What was that? I can't say that. it's funny because I saw a lot of tweets following around it saying like you know after his Ineos tweet there it was like if Bruno if the hacker hadn't then gone on to do the rest of the other tweet everyone would have thought oh wait it's actually probably Bruno saying let's get rid of Ineos but he's got his Twitter back guys don't worry allegedly allegedly just on Bruno Fernandes do you think he stays like do you think he will choose to stay yeah I think it depends on what his new manager is.
26:42His run out of the club is basically the talisman of Manchester United. Most important player by far, isn't he? I think for at least a year or two we'll see it out until things change, potentially. I mean, he's 31 now. Is this not his last chance to do something? I think he might go. Oh, that'd be cool. No. I feel like anywhere he goes, it's going to be like Saudi in it. So I feel like he probably just wants to stick it out at the top level. He's still at the top of his game. Yeah. Do you think he would... He hasn't even had a slight drop-off. I think he'd want to... Do you think... To play devil's advocate here, Tom, do you think that because he's at the top of his game still he wants to go win more trophies and he currently I think he sees himself in that line no big club's going to take Bruno Bayern Munich would no they won't of course they would I don't think they would he's also realistically now going to be back in the tent right if they're set up with four and if they do get like a big promise if they're talking to him saying end of the season I'm going to have a world class manager in he'll be sold the only way Bruno goes he's Saudi and I don't think he'll want to go there Bruno Fernandes teammates were probably through he's had enough of the time if they get 100 million from him yeah I think he just wants the chaos to settle down right he just wants to play football at Manchester United I think while he's at the top of his game he loves United I can't see him I'll be amazed if he leaves unless something happens yeah apparently Amber and persuaded him to stay and then he left him as well oh well does he have a dog probably yeah maybe Bruna F right who's next then Manu yeah we all keep him a Manu yeah I'll keep Manu yeah I've seen that one no I would keep Maynou but I think he should go that's why I said that was you're such a liar you're actually just a liar we did a list last week who we think who we think personally each team should sell I love I love how we regurgitated the info no no I love how we regurgitated the info based on the fact that Amram was still at the top yeah yeah also by the way that's not true you already started changing to who you who you think what you think the club might do once you started out the figures.
28:39but then he did start against Brighton. He came on against Burnley, though. I know, but he didn't start. But that means he's been phased back into... He hasn't been playing at all. Yeah. I think he should just... I think he should personally leave Man United. But then they leave the midfield pretty fucking... They got it, then. That's what I was talking about. No, we're not doing a who should Man United sign at the moment. What? We're doing buy or sell or keep. Yeah, but surely he's talented enough to be a player at Manchester United. Every single Manchester United fan wants Cobb Man United. Which is what you said at the start of this.
29:07are they good enough for Man United he is definitely good enough but I think there also comes with the pressure of Man United the previous history of Man United you look at so many players I think he handles the pressure fine you look at so many players who have left Man United to go on and but I don't think he's stronger for that I think he's got the personality for Man United he wasn't very good against Brighton he wasn't very good against Brighton he doesn't pull even on most of them I think he's a good he has the talent to go on and have a very successful career I just don't think it would be about United that's the biggest club in England where else is it doesn't matter they're not challenged for trophies but we're not talking about if he's going to stay for the future they potentially could be that's the isn't that the idea we're discussing how United can basically get back to their former past or whatever or what players they should be keeping I completely understand what you're saying and then you'll go in I think Manning should leave I think for him he should leave but we're not discussing that you see what I'm saying I'm trying to Yeah, but I'm allowed to say that.
30:06He's arguably the second best midfielder they have in the squad. Yeah. I'd agree. So if they are going to improve, surely they want to keep the better ones. Yeah, they... Manny United, you have to keep them. I'm saying Manny United should absolutely try and keep Mainu in play. There you go then, that's it, done. But I think if I was Kobe Mainu... Do you see what I'm saying? He's not the debate, though. Yeah, but you're allowed to... Kobe Mainu... Just because we're not debating it, I'm like... I think if you're on Mainu, I love apples, but that's nothing to do with what... That's nothing to do with football, though.

30:34Copy Mania will get game time now, though, surely. You're just trying to dig it. I'm not. Last week, we did who we think players should sell. So we did that. We're now doing who United should keep or sell or loan. Yeah, and I'm just saying, if I were Copy Mania, I'd want to try and leave. I think that's quite relevant to the segment we're doing. Do you think he does want to leave? Do you not? He thinks he's going to get game time now. I think not really, no. Contracts. I think now the management's changed. No, that's what I'm saying. Genuine questions. Do you think they've stalled? Apparently contract talks are stalled.
31:02So it's completely relevant once again. Once again. Yeah. Once again. But do you think if he was offered more game time he'd want to stay at the club? I think it looks bright Speaking from Kobi Mooney's perspective. The future's bright. Kobi Mooney will be Man United. Do you not think the success of somebody like McTominay at Nabylie? No, it depends on his game time though. If he knows he's going to get 90 minutes every game He'll look forward to knowing he's going to get it now. But also I think you have... What did he say? If he looks forward he's like there's going to be a top cross manager coming in I'm going to get game time Munder's a new manager it's going to be more like I think it's a great place for him to stay and give it another season now it's a new Man United you stick out the rest of the season because under like a Darren Fletcher or it'll be Michael Carrick hopefully they'll favour him if they get like a top class manager in like we've been told about I think they'd definitely be playing Mania also World Cup year as well does Mania want to try and be in the England squad at some point well that's the thing yeah I mean if he stays he's probably going to get time I think that's a sign that he's not pushing for a loan move or anything at the moment because you're not hearing anything about that so I imagine he's been told he'll be playing otherwise he would be pushing for whatever reason a new gaffer might come in and just try and trust who's been playing this season I know he's started against Bryan but he was benched against Burnley there is uncertainty formation's changed though I think so there is uncertainty for his sake hopefully he does start he's going to play otherwise he'll be pushing for a move for the World Cup won't he but yeah that's going to be irrelevant at that point I know I'm saying the fact that he's not pushing we're not hearing all this stuff I imagine he's been told contract is stalled apparently that's what Will said but how many years has he got left on it though because contract but the fact that it doesn't matter but the fact that he stalled and doesn't want to extend at the moment what I'm looking at is it says June 2027 with the club having the option to put an additional year on it oh yeah so he's kind of secured to be fair anyways but what would you do if you were Moaning I think you'd stay I mean like he's still at a massive club where he should be playing a big role moving forward.
32:59With the new opportunity that's arisen, aka a manager that'll probably play him, you've got to stay at the football club. And Man United can't afford to be selling a young, like if they want them to improve, a player who has immense ceiling and just selling them to like a rival or wherever, they'll be stupid. Forwards. So if you're watching Colby, stay at the club. Toby Collier? Again, probably keep, right? Sell. Oh. I don't really have too much of an opinion. But they don't have enough midfielders to keep going. Yeah, he's not very good though. Has Hojland got a... Yeah, he's gone, definitely.
33:32Definitely gone, yeah. Which is... I mean, he's fucking smashing it in that little. I'd keep all them as well. Yeah, you don't see anybody who wants to leave. I think their forward line is alright. I mean, three of those have been bought this season. Kunja, keep. Zerksi, keep. Do you think Zerksi's... Where do you think Zerksi's best position is? Like... In behind? Yeah, like it's nine and a half. I don't think he's an out-and-out nine, is he? He's in behind. He ain't got the pace. Bruno's going to be there now, so it's a bit of an interesting one. Good squad player, though. Diallo. Yeah, keep.
34:07Definitely keep. Mbwemo. Yeah, keep. Cesco. Keep. And my match. Chido Orby. The future of Man United. Rashford and Santro are both on loan. Sell. Do Barca have an option or not? Do we know if they have an option? I mean, ability-wise, you'd keep Rashford but I think everything that's gone on with I think it's time for him to go I think they need to sell him cashier and they'll probably get good money for himself could Barcelona even afford him probably not probably not they'll find a way they'll find money somewhere sell some Rashford shirts they'll find it on the floor somewhere what does Sancho do?
34:44quit the sport what does he do? did he leave the Prem again? he can't beat a man he's been getting game time at Villa I know he's looking alright when he plays but is that going to be sustainable? I think somewhere like Fulham somewhere keep him in the Premier League but like he's clearly got he's got wages though Fulham paid big wages well how much is he on though Sancho 200 plus I reckon I reckon he's on 300 grand a week just on Rashford apparently well the Athletic are saying Barca want to keep him they've got a 30 million euro clause in there to do so bargain and he's keeping it for Rashford yeah that's according to the Athletic well you'd sign him like wouldn't you very good deal yeah by the way terrible deal for Manu they just must have wanted his wages gone and him gone if they're doing a deal like that he was free though wasn't he yeah it's profit right it's profit at the end of the day anything on Sancho or not Will any rumours he'll go Broad the rumour mill he's not getting money like that in the Prem not even close to it no surely not yeah but who are broads going to afford him he was like Fulham have probably got a bigger wage bill than Napoli or something.
35:58I was thinking more like Saudi. If I'm honest. The classic. But Saudi would be all over that, won't he? He's a big name. He's been at the top level. He's trying to learn Arabic, buddy. So apparently he's been told he's never going to play for United again. Jesus. Right, so he's definitely a sell. What a waste of money, man. Well, there we have it. That's what we were doing with Man United's current squad. Moving on to A New Eleven Yeah We've never done this one before though It's from the years of 2020 to 2025 So the last half a decade And are you sort of starting from the 2021 season Rather than 1920 Because 2020 to 2025 20 to 21 Premier League 11 guys we should say Just 2020 to 2025 Yeah Who would like to go first on theirs?
36:49Go on Lewis Start us off the last five years in the Premier League the best 11 what have you got and this is the certified correct list boys as always I think I like mine's quite boring and standard so in goal I've gone Alisson shit how'd you come up that one that's what we do did you know I've got a fat for you Lewis in the last five years guys this goes out to everyone what Premier League goalkeeper has the most clean sheet Alisson um oh no because he's been injured I'd go could be Edison yeah I think it might be Edison could be Edison or think Raya correct answer is I'd go Edison Edison yeah who's in number two Alisson I reckon I actually do have it here those two have been around for the whole period no Alisson's injured loads though but you just get I can't remember who it was I think it was Alisson in two third in Martinez and fourth is David Reier I believe from the top of my memory but David Reier's come for the last three years oh yeah the top of my memory so he's moving fast I looked at it yesterday I thought you said the top of my memory is from the top of my head is the saying okay sorry another Theo-ism right back up when Trent I feel like this one might be one where there's some differences you can see you see the difference in Liverpool this season really you haven't gone to Newfield no I haven't actually it's not the end of his career yet right so there's a couple here who have made a late surge I'm actually just thought of another name who I wish I put in instead but I can't now.
38:22No. I've actually put in Saliba. Interesting. Although he is now not your best of my opinion. There was a period where he was just the one. Although now I'm thinking of it I can remember another time who I wish I had in. His first game for Arsenal was like 22 though, right? So I mean, it's up to you. Yeah, that's what I mean. Well, there's two people where it's like, I think they've been so... How many players do you think have played the whole five years? I can think of one second back, right? No, I'm on about not everyone in my team. I feel like you just have to be better in the shorter time to make the list for me I've still had like three really, well four now really good seasons I'm pissed off, I've missed out a name but want to use my avid so I'll leave it Van Dijk obviously next to him and then I went Robertson because I couldn't think of a left back and he just held it down Robinson or Robertson?
39:06Robertson Yeah, yeah, yeah Well he's got, he had the most assists ever, isn't he? Talking about late surges as well We're going to have Declan Rice in midfield because he's just taken to a new yeah he has been so good now even at West Ham as well yeah like West Ham he was doing it but especially at Arsenal now it's like yeah that's totally fair I just think he's the fucking he is the fucking shiznit yeah what year did they win the Europa 22 23 I love Declan Rice I think Declan Rice might be my most my favourite non-Newcastle player except from Jack Grealish as well friend of the show friends of the show KDB Declan Rice and Rodri and then Salah Kane and Son I went for Kane over Haaland Rodri's a good one yeah Ballon d 'Or you haven't got Rodri in your team I never said that mine's basically the same who was your mine's almost I went Salah Kane and Son what was your reason for putting Kane ahead of Haaland I've always been Kane over Haaland just because yeah but Haaland's won the league he's broke the record I understand I've done this on individual players I think individual literally Kane is just a superior player just because he brings, like the fact that he can drop deep and bring all that to the team.
40:23Yeah, we'll go back on this thing again, mate. And this thing, like, it's one of these where it's not like a messy Ronaldo for me. 17, 23, 18. Oh, sorry, yeah. It's just like, it's not like a messy Ronaldo for me where someone says Ronaldo and I think they're mental. It's more like this one is, if you say Haaland, like fair enough, you can understand it. For me, I just prefer what Kane can bring. And also... Formation to include them both. And also did it at Tottenham, where it's like, you know, it was Tottenham. Why Son? The pairing with Kane, and again, doing it at Tottenham. I just can't think of any other winger who I'd have over him.
40:59Two Spurs players. It is mental, but they are the reason that Tottenham did anything in that period. They didn't do anything? Well, they almost did something. Son was joint top goal scorer in the league in 21-22. He was just so clinical. I think Son's a better pick than Kane, personally. He was just clinical on them two together. there and if they're working as a team you have them together mine's very similar so I'm going to go my back five's exactly the same Alisson, Trent, Saliba Van Dijk, Robertson I think Gabriel's better now but Saliba has been the superior I thought the exact same thing Tom ball knowledge in the new year I have a different centre back in I think Gabriel you know when Saliba was always the number one rated out of the two I think we were almost maybe blinded by a little bit but that's because Gabriel was rash at that point he's kind of honed that part of his game in a little yeah my midfield I think it might be the same as yours as well Rodri, Gundogan and KDB Gundogan Gundogan and then I haven't gone I haven't gone son because I feel I wanted to squeeze this guy in so I've gone Salah, Haaland and I'll put Saka on the left oh you want to squeeze Saka in nice interesting consistently always has Saka's so when did Saka like break into the scene again was it like 2020 20, yeah.
42:16Saka's so consistent, man. I was going to put Bruno Fernandes in, but... Yeah, it's just hard to midfield. There's so many choices. But I couldn't really because I've got KDB. Good ones... Not good ones, sorry. Saka's level of output in terms of assist has been so consistent. Yeah. I just think he's performing. He never has a bad game. He's taken Arsenal from like... He's been one of the main... Probably the main player from a team that was seventh to know a team that's the best. He started as a left back. That's what I mean. I'd quite like to see him on the left. His game is cutting in though, isn't it?
42:52Yeah. It wasn't though. When he was in the back. He's been so consistent the last four years. No, but he does that because also he goes on the outside a lot. Yeah, he comes down on his right foot. Imagine doing that on your left. But him cutting inside and have those shots across goalers on his left, he wouldn't be able to do that. He's got a good right foot. No, but you know what I mean? He wouldn't be able to mount a goal on his left. I'd quite like to see anyway him as a left winger to see if he's if you have people like Yikarez in the box who's like you know could benefit from not saying that he wouldn't be there standing still on the penalty spot yeah yeah that's fucking looking busy fucking donkey yeah cool in goal I've also got Alisson I think that's to be expected back four is different though I've got Trent Van Dijk Robertson and Ruben Diaz treble winning captain personally I think outside of Arsenal he's like my favourite centre back to the world he wasn't the captain was he wasn't the one the treble Yeah.
43:42Was he? Pretty sure. Ruben Diaz? Or was it Gundogan? It was Gundogan. He was well young. The league two or three seasons before he was captain, I think, right? Has he been up to... I don't think he's ever been up to the last couple of years. He was. When he first came in and they won the league after... But Saliba and Gabriel have both been better, I would argue. Yeah. Although Diaz did win... Maia Jama. Yeah. He won... He won PFA player of the year, didn't he? Or the Premier League of one of them. I think for longevity of the final... I don't think he's ever been captain, bro. He has. I mean, it's hard to argue with him how successful he was in that period.
44:18I mean, I don't mind. I'm just not a big fan of him. In the five years. I'm just not a big fan of him, to be honest. Yeah, see, that's why I didn't keep my butt. You can't really argue with it. I've changed formation to account for two strikers. So I've gone full for two. I've got Salah on the right, Rodri, KDB in the middle, and then I've got Phil Foden. Oh, yeah, good shout. For the output. He's back to his best. He didn't come into a mine, actually. and then front two is Kane and Haaland and they both deserve a shout good team nice nice man right it's hard to have a bad team with this yeah well well I originally I originally thought the the concept was Europe yeah and I still had eight of the exact same players well they always end up here don't they who were your European players you had in so I had Rudigan instead of Diaz I had Rudigan really who else did I have Rudigan I had Mbappe instead of Foden you had Rudiger yeah two years yeah no because I played I played 4-4-2 still Kane and Holland I think Kane's been the best striker the last five years across Europe oh I see what you're saying instead of 4-3 take us home for you Alisson goal and then a back four is slightly different I've got Trent Van Dijk and Gabriel and then Robertson at left back is Andy Robertson here's one for you Rob Rob friend of the show Rob or Ashley Cole in Premier League Ashley Cole is it tighter than we think no I don't think so I don't think so either is there a case no not for me you could try and make a curse but I don't think I'd take it Ashley Cole was a better player obviously Robertson you know credit for over the years the amount of assists he's had Robertson was great but Cole's different level Cole's arguably the best left back ever I think he is the best left back ever he could be the second best Premier League left back of all time though who else would be up there no he definitely is Who else is up there?
46:08Petrie Sevra? Evra, but no. I think Robertson's better than Evra. In terms of global, do you think it goes Cole, Marcelo, Roberto Carlos? No, I think Marcelo's the best. Marcelo's the best. Level of output. Trophies. Yeah. Champions Leagues. I've got 4-2-2-2-2. Ah, shalom. Yes. Forgot about Rodri. But I've got... 13th place. Declan Rice and KDB. and then in front of them in the two, I've got Salah on the right and I've got Bruno Fernandes. I think Bruno Fernandes deserves to be in there. So you haven't got Rodri? I haven't got Rodri, no. Oh, fucking hell. You wouldn't have balloned on. No, I know, I know, I know.
46:48Wasn't it like 75 million games undefeated? Yeah, I know. I did forget about him and definitely a case to have him in over... Bryce. But then in this formation, I'd still write about Bryce, but look. Over Rodri? Right now, yeah. But you know what I'm saying? I just forgot about him. Here's what it is. Bruno Fernandes. Bruno Fernandes deserves to be in it just for his consistency throughout the years like he's been Man United's most important player for the last fucking six years he's he's constantly getting double digit double digit would you have Rodri over Bruno Fernandes if you could change it and play yeah I would and then I'd put Kevin De Bruyne in the in the in the forward role and I've got Kane and Haaland up front anyway yeah nice I mean did you see Kane at the weekend his goal again when they won like 8-1 That league's really competitive Such an unnecessary top bin He just absolutely wraps it So pointless He's just like Yeah why not Yeah I've switched off With all these Bundesliga It's such a shit league Yeah Bundesliga I don't trust them So lads You've got your four individual ones Together Can you come up with a pitch side 2020 2025 Alisson is a goalie I feel like Well defence has made itself really Four of the back five are universal Like you have Yeah you have the same as defences all of us as well, don't you?
48:05We have Saliba. Saliba's in then because there's 2v1. Yeah. It's fine. Gabriel's the left side of centre-half. So it goes Alisson Trent, Saliba Van Dijk, Robertson. But so is Van Dijk. That's what I'm saying. That's what you're saying. It works with Saliba. Got you. Yeah. So Alisson Trent, Saliba Van Dijk, Robertson. In midfield, we have KDB. What formation are we playing? I think the 4-3-3. You get the best players in. I don't know. No, I think two strikers. In terms of... You can play 4-4-2. You can have wingers as well. Or 4-2-2. That's the play. That ain't the play. I'm not having Salah in the 10.
48:39No, you play him on the wing. I'm in 4-4-2. You can do 4-4-2, but then you're going to have to have KDB and Rodri in midfield. Yeah, I agree. That's what it is. And then you have Salah and on the left. We all have different left. Yeah, I'd fold in there. Son? I don't mind Son. Bruno found us Son. I just don't like the... I don't think two Spurs players should be in there. I understand. As a player, Son's output was fucking phenomenal. It's got to be Son. If it shows Bruno Fernandes. So is Saka's? Is it not as good as Son's? It might be Saka's. I actually think it's Bruno Fernandes. And also Saka's not really on the left.
49:15I think Silverware has to come into it a little bit. I think Foden, he won player of the year as well. I don't mind Foden too far. He's got about 45 trophies. Yeah, we'll go Foden on the left and then obviously the two strikers pick themselves. Yeah, Haaland and Kane. Good team. that was a freaking beast almost mine any players that are on the cusp that you can get on the bench who was I looking at earlier Mane but he didn't he was a bit he left him what's when he it's annoying because of the injuries and stuff but Johnny Stones in terms of like yeah that's the one that's the centre back who I thought of when I was thinking but even still like towards the back end of it he hasn't really and Kyle Walker arguably but you know and again towards the back end he's thrilled Ederson could be the shout in terms of consistency just because Alisson they might have injuries but I don't think Alisson's the best he's number one hater though no Ederson and Lloris is it yeah yeah geez I think who else Kyle Walker yeah I think Trent well we have Gundogan who's just on there Declan Rice who we've put on who've missed out I mean if it's in consistency Bernardo Silva oh yeah Gundogan you have got Gundogan no not in the joint one for the bench alright right Trossard ahead to the next five years and all this necessarily wasn't certainly prepared.
50:31But together, who do you think the best players in the next five years will be? In goal be Raya. I think it would go Raya, Timber, Saliba. No, if James stays fit, it's going to be with James, isn't it? It's going to be the Arsenal team. We're going to win the Premier League every year. I'll give you a shame. Gabriel will probably be it. It'll be Saliba, Gabriel, I think. That's not a bit of a joke. It would be. What about Charles? I think Charles in for a shout Who would the left back be? Colwell Centre half maybe When he's back Left back There's no Who's like a young Lewis Hall, Cucurella What are you pulling that back?
51:09I think Colwell Colwell's class Lewis Hall I'd throw Lewis Hall in there Gabriel He's so fucking good That might not stay They just signed new contracts What about Ait Nuri? Just signed for City Ait Nuri Oh Nico O 'Reilly's not a bad one Nico O 'Reilly Vardy Hall's centre half as well Yeah midfield three Miley Rice will still be there I bet there's a lot of young players who will still be in Mainu in terms of how young they are as well yeah Kaysedo's young as well he's like 23 Mainu they'll be what 28 by the time he's coming down again you put him over Kaysedo no over Mainu I put Miley and over Mainu I'm not saying he'd be in the I'm not saying no to Miley though why did you say that I'm just saying if Miley is in the shell so then Miley's going to go above him how well is Kaysedo Foden still in the conversation.
51:55That's what I mean. There's a lot. Yeah. 24. It would most likely be like the players who were already smashing it now. Like, like, Kaisado's 24. 24. Like, he's not even in his brow. What about Morgan Rodgers? Yeah. Oh, great shout. Esteval, Morgan Rodgers, Marlon. If you haven't rice, Kaisado, you have to pick 110. 110. For the next five years. Rodgers, who you have in give me Borden. He'll be Morgan Rodgers. Sean does what he can do. All he has to do is recreate. Could be Morgan Rodgers. Could be. Nah, a fully fit Palmer's fucking unplayable, isn't he? There is a fully fit Morgan Rodgers. Morgan Rodgers isn't...
52:36He's not done what Palmer's done. What do you think happens to Morgan Rodgers in the next couple of years? Do you think he... Will he get an illness? If they get Champions League, he obviously... Do you think he goes Arsenal? He was having conversations, wasn't he, on the pitch? What do you think he does? Did he stay in the Prem? could he go to a Real Madrid? What I'm pushbelling about and Tom's prediction goes full circle. He could do that but I don't think Madrid will be after him with the players they've got. Barcelona. Yeah, they've got loads of winning. Bayern Munich. The world's his oyster.
53:12You could say. If you're that good you just stay in the Premier League. Yeah. With it being the most competitive. Yeah, but the only caveat to that is if Villa get Champions League could they... Could they stay? Why do you have to do it? Yeah, but in the Premier League a couple of years, hypothetically, Villa could sort of cement themselves as like a top four side. Exactly. Could he stay? Not everyone can challenge the title. If he wouldn't really move to like a rival top four side, so if he were to leave, that's why I think maybe a broad, that should be more. Are you arguing with yourself here?
53:39I don't know what's going on. No, I'm thinking about different possibilities. In five years' time, Newcastle could be cemented as a horrible. I'm saying if he were to leave Villa, I don't think he would actually be to a Premier League side. We'll sign him. That's not necessarily true. I don't think that's true, but I just think at the minute,
53:54and the team smashes it. They're a massive club. They're probably going to be in the Champions League. He's playing. He's the star man. He's playing well. The manager likes him. I just think at the minute, why? Life's a breeze. Because realistically, who's going to come in for him? I can't see Arsenal paying. How much would he cost? Hundred and fucking thirty million. Something like that. Let me throw something out there. Florian Verts maybe moving forward. A certain Karl leaves. Lennart Karl. Karl? But why would you buy Munich? Oh, Munich. what would he need he wants to go to Madrid he wants to Madrid doesn't he he came out Madrid might not want him yeah Madrid would watch it like we don't fucking want you man how about no how about no no surely Morgan Rodgers would just stay in the Premier League he will he will who knows he can go anywhere he's class what about genuine question for him for the next five years front three oh yeah maybe on the left I don't know if he stays for five years I reckon goes back to Germany go back away Trent wasn't in Trent wasn't in for the whole time was he yeah I just I don't know if like he's doing a bit better now but he might not He might just not kick on and get sold back to Germany.
54:56Do a Werner. Yes, he was, yeah. On the right, would you have Saka on the right? Next five, yeah. Yeah. Saka. And Haaland up front. Haaland up front. And who's your left? No, Esteval on the right or Dungitain. Does Haaland stay long enough? Esteval will be... For the next five years, though. It seems like he wants to break the record. Could you have Esteval on the left, squeeze him in? Esteval will be a better player than Saka in the next five years. For sure. Say that, though, but if Arsenal are going to be dominating trophies for the next five years, I don't mind Saka Saka will be the guy behind him I'm not debating how successful their teams will be Esteva will be a better player than Saka in a couple of years I think personally I think he's got a way higher ceiling and ability but off the left Semenyo Semenyo Shirky Doku damn yeah just to answer your question I think Haaland would definitely stay until he breaks Shearer's record I think he's going he's already He's already done it.
55:50He'll do it in two years. Fucking stupid, yeah. He'll literally do it in two years. He's so close. Moving on to switching the tables, aren't we, lads? We're role reversal today. Oh, yeah. We're going to judge you. Because all you big man who sit behind the screen, comment in, yeah? Okay? It's time to hear you out, right? So we're going to have a go at you. How about that? But prior to that, we have to say our own biggest ones. Yeah, we haven't actually said what we're doing. Right, so what we're about to do, guys, we're going to react to your Wildest 2026 predictions. We're going to put the names on screen because there's no hiding this time, right?
56:24It's not anonymous predictions. You've got to own it. And there are only predictions as well. Oh no, they don't give us that. Predictions can be wrong. That's what I'm saying. All the time. Suggesting what's going to happen in the future. That's almost impossible. Not necessarily. Not if you're Tom. Well, what's our boldest prediction? We should get into it then. what is your boldest prediction Phil? I beg your pardon? Because he's bold, isn't he?
57:21I've got a wild one No. I'm going to fall. So you don't think they're going to stay off? I think it's wild to say. So it could do. I think he actually looks too high. It should be something you think is going to happen. Do you think they're going to stay off? No. But that could happen. I don't know. That's what I just said. I think Wolves are going to get into you. That is a wild one though. That is wild. But if you don't believe it, it's not a prediction. I semi-believe mine. You have to understand when it's wild it has to be semi. I could see it happening. It has to be like a semi. Do you know what I mean?
57:50Like wild? People say wild shit all the time They don't fucking believe it I've got a wild one that I believe will happen I've got a couple Go on One is on the same Oh my god I've just seen the league table And I don't want to say the first one Go on Burnley will stay up No the first one was going to be That Wolves will stay up And actually do you know what Right do you know what They've got no chance It's momentum They are What momentum How is Drawing John They beat Shrewsbury Drawing John You can't say West Ham silly And then say Wolves I think Wolves 100 % will finish above West Ham this season.
58:24I'll take that bit. You don't think Wolves will finish above West Ham? No. No. How much do you want to bet on that? I'll take the bet as well. I don't have this much money. I'll do 20 quid. 50. No, because I'm doing it with them as well. 20 quid. 20 quid. 50. 20. All right. That's fucking... Can you write that down for me as well? No. Look, we're saying these have to be wild. So it's like... It's not like 100 % to it. If Wolves finish above West Ham, that means Wolves are staying up. I just think the scope for them to... to improve. The West Ham one for me is no brainer because West Ham... for them to improve.
58:57They can't get any fucking work. No, but like for West Ham, West Ham are so unbelievably shit. Wolves actually look like they're showing signs. They've got seven points. Yeah, but they've all came in the last three games. So? So they're building. Do you know what actually would be a genuinely wild prediction? I don't think this... I think this is perfectly wild. I think Wolves will beat the Derby County record. That's not wild. That's what we've been saying for weeks. Now, that is wild. No, because he's a Wolves fan. He doesn't think they will. Oh, you don't think you'll... I think they will beat it.
59:25What do you mean by beat it? They'll get more points. That's not wild at all. That's not wild at all. They've got to win two games for the rest of the season in 17 matches. I thought you said we were going to get less points. The points they need for the rest of the season they've got in the last two games. We really need five points. That's not a wild prediction. I don't... Looking at the points, I've got how many points they've run. I don't believe they'll steer... I believe they'll steer... They'll get above West Ham. I think West Ham will drop down. I don't see any world where... I think they'll get above West Ham.
59:51They've won one in 21 and you think they're going to win at what? The manager's starting to get them cooking. Can you explain how they're cooking? They beat a lackluster West Ham. I don't know. I was asked to say a bold opinion, mate. And then they drew with nine men. They've also... It's all thanks to one man as well. Mane. One man. We want him, apparently. One man. Oh, they get off. I love that. And then... The thing is bold. Yeah, of course. Yeah, go on then. I've been told to say a wild opinion. Yeah, but it's not a lie. You've got to believe it. Yeah. I do believe they'll finish above West Ham.
1:00:20What about... That's more of a slate on how bad I think West Ham are. I like it. I'm just trying to understand it. I think Wolves have more scope to improve this season than West Ham. I think West Ham are going to go nose dive. I think they're absolutely... The physicality of the team is zero. Callum Wilson, the only... The second top goal scorer pushed out the squad for some reason. He's not even in the... Yeah, yeah. He's their second top goal scorer and they pushed him out the squad. I think your reasoning's fair. I think it's too big of a gap. It is. Well, I definitely take on the relegation one because fucking hell I didn't realise how big it was.
1:00:52What about a wild prediction of Spurs is that they literally don't finish above 15th. Right. I don't think that's that wild. They're currently one point at 15th. It depends if they keep Frank, can't it? But like imagine that like 17th and 15th back-to-back seasons. Improvement. I've got one. I don't think Coventry will go up. Oh. Why? I really don't think they're that good and I think the only reason they've been doing so well is because the rest of the league's been poor. But the good teams now, like Ipswich, are getting it together. So I think the only way... They're six points clear at the moment.
1:01:30That's just of second though. So they're eight points clear of third. I don't think they... And then I think with the drop-off, they'll then bottle the playoffs. Interesting. They've already started... The last few games, when we played them as well, we outplayed them and we outplayed them in the first half until we got the red card. Have they got to play like Borough or Ipswich at all still? Have they what? Got to play them against them They lost to Ipswich two weeks ago Did they? At home 2-0 I just think the wheels are falling off a little bit And I think they've got away with it Because everyone else was so bad Ipswich are like bottom half at the start of the year Another wild one for the championship Wrexham to go up That's not crazy at all Can you imagine that?
1:02:09Can you actually imagine that? I don't think they're good enough But that would be insane I think they can definitely get in the playoffs Wrexham to go up Imagine they fucking do it Yeah, it's a fairytale, isn't it? All the money they spend. I got a wild one. They've done it right, to be fair. Kavaluin breaks 20 goals. How was he on at the moment? You reckon? Yeah. That is very wild. He's got nine. He's got this. Come on, Kavaluin. He's going to score 11 more goals. Yeah, why not? In how many? They've got 17 left, haven't they? 11 in 17. Why not, mate? Fuck it. He's going on the fucking plane and he's going to be lifting us the World Cup.
1:02:46If he continues his goal for the 90, he'll probably do it. He's the best player in the league. 11 more Dominic. I'll take the bet that he doesn't. Sure, why not? No, you need to have... Oh, that was a bad bet. Why? You should have got like 100 if he does. Oh, that's fine. You shouldn't have gone evens with that. Yeah. Come on, Dominic. Right then, let's react to other people's... So my one is Coventry won't get promoted. What's yours? Calvert-Lewin will get 20 goals. Yours was... Wolves are above West Ham. I also think Newcastle's going to do the double and Theo's actually do West Ham stay up and Wrexham to go up West Ham stay up and Wrexham Wrexham well I fucking should have that's ours it's time to hear yours this one was predicted by a lot and it's Arsenal will win the quadruple yeah I actually don't mind that I mean it's a bold one but it looks pretty good at the moment it could happen there is a chance it happens do you think it's more wild to say Arsenal win the quadruple or what did you say Wolves to stay up?
1:03:46Yeah and Newcastle won the double. It's more likely Wolves stay up. Yeah yeah winning four tournaments is you're not going to win the quadruple. I think it's so easy to say that now when things are going well like this stuff like It chatted about Liverpool at one point didn't we a few years ago. I know but like it's always easy to say in this position where it's like you look unstoppable but there will be a blip and there will be like There already has been a bit of a blip as well like things will happen. You have to get you have to get through Palace on penalties. That's what I'm saying. You're not going to beat us in the League Cup anyways.
1:04:15That's one god. We won't have to pay you. Well, you're not making it to the final. We are. You won't. Oh, but. Damn. Now you got me. No, yeah, that's fucking... Yeah, you're fucking stupid. That is wild. They're not going to do it. What about the treble? No. Double. I find it hilarious how a team who's won fuck all suddenly thinks they're going to win three. I told you something. It's like London buses. Yeah. North London buses. There's none for ages and all of a sudden two or three come along. A treble. A treble of buses. treble of double-decker buses you're not winning the treble no chance I honestly we might have to cut the show if they win the treble because the show would be unbearable why do you hate us so much if you it's not necessarily you you would be fine about it he would be unbearable any sort of arsehole conversation it would be yeah but we won the treble which would be alright to say if you did win the treble but that's why I can't have it I'm a fan of you who mentions the league cup every few seconds exactly if we won the Premier League Champions League and FA Cup and League Cup for the cheek of you to go they'd be unbearable when you're...
1:05:14Oh, I can't stand me. What, so you're saying... So what... I'm awful. Wait, so if you were another person, you wouldn't have to stand you. No, what it is is it's because I have taken the piss out of Arsenal so much. I know the time when you finally win a trophy. There is going to be... There's going to be music for me to face. But what would it... I don't get why Reeve wouldn't be unbearable. Because he isn't... I wouldn't bring it up as much as you are. I think that's the point he's trying to make. Why not? You're just a bit more smug, ain't you? You are far more than nob. By the way, it isn't a bad thing.
1:05:42I think you're a sore winner than I am. Do you know how much shit I've taken off my mates? I agree, but the reason he gave is because he thinks you'd say it more. That's why. As a fucking shooter. That's proven the point. As you should as well. I think you should be embarrassed if it took you that long. I actually think, right. It's more embarrassing to not be smug about it. That a lot of Arsenal fans I'm good for you I just wouldn't bring it up. I think a lot of Arsenal fans unfortunately care more about rubbing it in other people's faces than actually their own happiness. Yeah. I think the first thing you'll see on Twitter is I told you so yeah instead of being like yes.
1:06:29Do you know how long when Crystal Palace won it they were just like happy and happy. They weren't going we finally won a trophy. when Arsenal finally do win the league or whatever this year that'll be it won't be I'm so happy I'm so buzzing it'll be ha ha finally you said Arteta wouldn't do it yeah now he's done it that's lovely remaining in your own bubble of success it's just like pop the bubble when I say when I say Arsenal fans I mean you you should be embarrassed to see him with us long if I'm honest will you cry yeah I will cry no you won't I'll cry of happiness I love crying big baby do you know what it is actually it will actually be such a relief really just because like the amount of like bottle jobs and that like every year that's what that's the point he's on about that's literally it will be rather than being like fuck yes we've done it you have that but then there'll also be an element of just like oh do you know what I mean you still would the thing is another drop of burn it would be like that would you not feel the same I'd be ecstatic yeah but I'll just go to the parade I just think I feel like Of course you would Friendly fire there mate Of course you would mate You'd be really happy What am I not allowed to be Oh Eastbourne boy Trying to out glory Are you gatekeeping Sorry You gatekeeping celebrate Your club winning the trophy You're not allowed to be happy Because I'm a bigger fan Than you are mate Yeah Because I take shit Eastbourne boy Anyway that's the first prediction What about the second Yeah you're fucking stupid Whoever said that Sticking with Arsenal Oh god Vinicius Junior will join the Gunners after contract problems with Real Madrid left winger it's not crazy it's not possible I don't think they'll pay his wages though no we would would you?
1:08:16just put Saka on higher wage he's on like 350 going a week now yeah I think Vinny's probably on half a mil or something and you bring him on on that wage then you're the big players that are saying oh I want this and you've got to be on this Vinny's got to be on crazy money Saka's not on 350 a week he's just had a pay rise Yeah but$350 a week You'll have Saliba on the door You'll have Erdogan at the door If you made this up It finishes on €21 million a year So How much can we even trust this though How much can we trust what Google says I don't think Either way I don't think it's a crazy opinion Because it's 52 weeks in a year
1:08:58You just divided by 52 mate Divided by 1.2 I was trying to work out the Euros without it's not mental come on I thought you were going to come with some big guns yeah yeah I think but they're too busy signing throwing coaches you seeing that oh yeah I mean they got the leading throwing coach in the world I could possibly see that happening I don't think it will there's only two throwing coaches that exist in the world yeah but it's an upcoming job it's so annoying are you going to ruin football you know sorry what are you talking about we don't even and utilised it as much as other teams. You're just going to ruin football.
1:09:35Fucking Leeds and Brentford ping-ponged all the time. As a guess, that's pretty close. Well, you round up to 400k, technically. Oh, don't be so pedantic. That's how maths works. What's the next one? Next one. Sesko will outscore Jokeres in the Premier League. Oh, 100%. How are these fucking rogue opinions? That's not even wild because if Havertz comes back, he might just... He was already back. Jokeres is shit. No, but I mean, when he gets fully fit. Jokeres won't score more than 20 goals in the Premier League. Jokre, no, no, by the way, at the start of the season, at the start of the season, no, in his whole career, at the start of the season, I just remembered, I said he wouldn't break double figures, I'm sure.
1:10:11What's he got now? He's on five, so he could. He's tracking against that. It's another rogue one. By the way, that is going to age unreal. I want someone to clip that. It's another rogue one. Gabriel outscores Jokre's. That's not rogue. He's going to. He's a centre-back, he's quite rogue. He's going to do it. But Jokre's, he's dog shit. Truffaut's on fire. He's the number nine of the club that's first in the brand. He's not going to be here anymore soon. He's not going to be back in soon, and Havertz. Told you, he wouldn't break double fingers. Havertz looked so good when he came on. I know it's against Portsmouth, but he did look very good.
1:10:44Yup. Portsmouth might go down from the championship, you do know that. And you still relied on what, three corners was it? So, what's your point? 1-4-1. At Mr Penney. Yeah, how'd you not hit the target, man? Yeah, not hitting the target. Next one. Cole Palmer will leave Chelsea. Could happen. I think he will. Where to? Where would he go? I actually predicted Man United, but I do think they can afford him. I feel like it's weird there. I feel like they kind of want to tell him. It feels like that. Clear Lake, is it? I feel like they want Esteval to be their main man. I feel like they can... Apparently the rumours was they were managing Palmer's minutes because they want to sell him and hold his value.
1:11:26I don't know. Who knows? but I feel like if Palmer's available, every club in the world will want him. Who can I... I don't know how much... Because he's on like an eight-year deal, isn't he? So he's going to cost a lot. He's got a hundred million. Yeah. No, man, the rest. Yeah. He's got to be worth 130, 140, 150 million, isn't he? For what, 22 years? How old is he? Cole Palmer? 23. Six, seven? Money's mad. Cole Palmer's 23. He's 24 in May. See? Fucking no. What day? Sixth. Oh, yeah. Right does that matter? Remember remember 6th of May 23rd of May What? 6th or 7th? 23rd of May The 6th or 7th? 8-9 What's next?
1:12:09Next one Luis Enrique will join Man United at the end of the season I don't think that's mad at all He's already said he's not renewing any at PSG Been discussed I could see that They can still attract him? Yeah It would have been wild if they say Luis Bowden Actually that depends if they get into Europe I think I think they need at least Europa League I think they do get into Europe well you think they're finishing fourth yeah that would be Europe football that would be Champions League football mate the top of Europe football well that leads me on to the next one Man United and Spurs will finish bottom half again Man United I don't think Man United will I think Spurs will I agree with you sir I don't think Man United will I'm still sticking to my Man United 11th what was your mid-season prediction?
1:12:49I moved them from 12th to 11th I just thought I feel like the term there's too many good teams and the turmoil around them and stuff. It's just... They can easily do it, but they can easily fall off. The gap is so easy. They only have that to focus on. They're only three points off fourth. They literally only have the Premier League to focus on. Man United. Yeah, I think they'll finish. Yeah, that is true. Didn't you put Bournemouth there, the Newcastle, in yours? By your logic, are we now better than Man United, Chelsea, and Sunderland then? No. Okay, interesting. Interesting. Changes sometimes, doesn't it?
1:13:19I think Spurs will finish bottom half, though. I agree. I agree. They're crap. Their manager's terrible. Moving on. We've got a few about Newcastle. Yeah, Lewis. Some people agree with you. Newcastle will win the domestic double. No. What? We'll win the double. You won't. We're going to win the League Cup. And the FA Cup. That would be the domestic double, yeah. Yeah. And the FA Cup is there to be taken. Although we made it pretty sticky for ourselves against Bournemouth. Left it late again. It's not the question. Like, look. I fancy us to get through. It's pretty wild. It's pretty wild. I disagree with it.
1:13:52If I'm honest, I'm nervous about a final against Arsenal. if we're playing this current Arsenal. How can you win the domestic double if we're winning the quadruple? That doesn't make any sense. You silly goose. It's not the question, boys. Football's a crazy sport and we got some... Yeah, it's a wild prediction. Yeah. I don't think it's going to happen. And we're a great team. But you talk about getting through... Again, you said you're worried about playing Arsenal in the final. You've got to beat Man City first. We... I actually... Yeah, that's an easier game for us. So we do pretty well against Man City, although not always getting a great result.
1:14:20We always have a good game against them. We just recently beat them. to 10-1. We just recently beat Man City. I mean, look, normally they'll, normally they get the better of us, but normally, like, the games are always close. They're always a bit more back and forth. Yeah, but you're acting like, you're like on this charge and playing really well. We're not playing really well. We are on a bit of a charge. You know, four wins in a row. You got lucky though, ain't you? You got very lucky. Yeah. Being entertaining. It's all the four wins in a row. I don't know about that. So if you were like playing well and winning, I could understand you thinking, we can be anyone.
1:14:53There are aspects of our performances that have been really well. Like the first half against Chelsea, the second half against Man United, those are really good. Mate, you've played Leeds and Bournemouth and nearly lost both. Leeds who are on an unbelievable run. They're 16th. Yeah, they're on an unbelievable run. No, they're not on an unbelievable run. They were an unbelievable run. They're 16th. Yes, they were. So why are they 16th? If you're on an unbelievable run. An unbelievable run is like 10 wins. Yeah, you have to do it comparatively. If we bring up Leeds' recent fixtures, they were doing really well.
1:15:20They were a hard game. I'll bring up Leeds. They were a hard game. You did it when they lost their best player. I'll do it for you, Luke. Here you go. Drew at United. Drew at Liverpool. Drew at Sunderland. Beat Palace. Drew at Brentford. Drew at Liverpool. Beat Chelsea. Lost to Man City. They're on a good run, for sure. They're on a good run. It's an unbelievable run for Leeds to be doing that. Yeah, I get that. 100%. I don't think that's an unbelievable run at all. It's like five draws. A new promoted team to be getting the results against these big teams. There's a few draws. They're good results still.
1:15:47They're good results. You're playing down a few draws. They're huge results. unbelievable it is that is I'm sorry from where how their performances were before that to the shift into that that is an unbelievable run 100 % I don't agree it completely is his form's unbelievable when he goes unbelievable is I actually can't believe they're doing this you can't I can't believe they were doing that no from the leads that we saw the whole season it's easy to say now is that I can't believe it if we took you the day before that run started and told you these are the results you'd be like which are the unbelievable results that you can't fathom that you just can't fathom?
1:16:21I'd say... Well, a bit in Chelsea. Drawing away to Liverpool. Drawing away to Brentford, who were fifth. Drawing away to Brentford, who were fifth. Palace 4-1, who were higher up in the table. They weren't fifth when they played them. Still a really good team. They all say... But then you're changing. They drew twice Liverpool. Why take that out? Still getting a result away to Brentford. Really good result. Is it? The Ellen Rhodes game against Liverpool. Obviously, it's a good result. No, you said unbelievable. That means you can't... You can't believe Leeds went to Brentford and drew. I can't believe Leeds beat Chelsea, drew with Liverpool.
1:16:51I can't believe they beat Crystal Palace 4-1. I can't believe they got a draw away at Sunderland. I can't believe they got a draw away at Sunderland. I can't believe they got a draw away at Liverpool. I can't believe they drew with Man Utd at this point. I can't believe they lost. It is an unbelievable run. And I can't believe they lost to Newcastle. It's such a brilliant turning four. Compensably, for all the losses that they've had. It's a great turning four. We've just said they're on a really good run and they've had some good results, but I think Unbelievable is a bit over the top at all.
1:17:18Ultimately, it's like, that doesn't really, like, whether you, we both agree it's a really good run, and the point was it was a good win. I think the word he used is for gazing, man. I thought you said you were four unbeaten in the Prem, or just generally. No, no, four unbeaten overall, three unbeaten in the Prem. And then we've got Wolves next. What was the opinion then? I told you we'd go on a run, man. Bruno G, mate. Bruno G's cooking. No one believed me, but we're going to be certain. No, we all put, in the mid-season predictions, we all put you, like, fifth. I think we might get it. Next prediction.
1:17:46We're going for fourth. we've got a couple more not Theo Theo are just like ninth couple more Newcastle ones not everybody thinks it's going to be a good season couple will say Sutherland will finish above Newcastle don't see it now and Sutherland will get you and Newcastle will not I don't see it now Sutherland won't finish above Newcastle yeah they might but I don't think they will I just think Chelsea United and Coa are just too strong I think I said a while Sutherland will finish above 12th that'll be a great season for them and they'll build it next year so tight still isn't it look how tight it is it's crazy yeah so tight
1:18:21it's really tight need Brentford to drop off do you know people say that right is it tighter than it always is yeah it definitely is it really is I can't remember we were like 12th and in two wins we went up to 6th it's mental yeah 14th no I know but isn't it like this at this stage of season January it's not it's not it's not it's not it's not it's not it's a little bit but it's like it's the fact that it's tight all the way down until like 12th. 5th to 14th is two wins. Yeah. It's never like that. Is it not? It is very tight. So tight then. But the title's done and the bottom three's done. It's January.
1:18:59The title's not done. I'm saying that. The title's done. Stop saying that. It's tight. Stop saying that. It's not that tight. Do you think Brentford could get Europe? Well, that's one of the ones I've got here. Brentford will get Champions League football. That is wild. Two people have said that. five? A few people have said Europe and a few people have said top five Champions League. Provisionally fourth at the moment, right? Mate, that is fucking mental. It's hard to argue with them at this stage, but I don't think it's going to happen. Is that better than Forest? If they... Of course it would be.
1:19:34It's Champions League, sorry. Sorry, Europe. That's the worst statement, don't worry. Do they have the depth to sustain this form considering just how long they're still left? Yeah, Dango's coming back, mate. He wins apparently every other game. They have the benefit, there's no pressure on them. They can just ride the wave, take each game, keep scoring goals. Igor. Keith Andrews, mate. They don't have to stress really, do they? Also, tactically this year, they've been really good as well. They're winning no matter. They all come here. To be fair, they've got depth up front. There was Sharder off the left as well.
1:20:06As you said, Django coming back. Yeah. They might strengthen in January, perhaps. Django? Django Utara. It's Dango, mate. It's Django, mate. It is Django. It's spelled Django Is it? Yeah, D-J-A-N-G-O
1:20:22Oh my god, look at that photo What's wrong with that? What's wrong with the way? What's that? Jesus Fancy him or something Yeah, it's just a throw Oh my god, he's so fit Wow, he's only 23 as well Yeah Who's that record time, am I? Very young Cooking And they're completely abusing the long throw mechanic this year as well Yeah Which makes it very easy I back that prediction Brentford could get Europe not necessarily Champions League no I don't know I don't think they'll get Europe I think they'll fall off they could they could that's the whole point of all of these it's like he's making like an insightful point not anything could happen actually it's wrong Wrexham can't win the Premier League this year no but within there you go point proven point proven next one Pep will leave Man City to be replaced by Xavi Not Jabby.
1:21:14It'd be Morescu, wouldn't it? Don't see how close. I don't think he'll leave. He must be considering it if Man City were shopping about a bit. I feel like he'll want to go... I think he'll want to leave winning it. The thing is, he's still buying lots of players. It looks like he's still building something. Man City are. Yeah. Yeah, but... He's not going to stop, is he? This club's going to move on no matter what, so he has to keep doing his job. But do you think if he were to leave, that's it? He just calls it quit for a few years. I think so maybe what do you mean by he wouldn't go to another club straight away he wouldn't just leave and go enjoy his tobacco a little bit just chilling out playing a bit of golf going to New York and that yeah I don't know Pep Guardiola why not yeah or could you see him going to like a I don't know maybe Fabregas leaves coma he just goes to coma like little projects sit by the or international management is a slower pace he won't go Spain though I think international management is a good show who?
1:22:17England England he actually might you know Tuchel leaves Guardiola leaves we win the World Cup and then Guardiola comes in and we win the next five World Cups in a row Fodor plays every minute of an international tournament and then and then and then we win everything we're going to get Guardiola oh my god I don't think he'll ever manage internationally you've ruined the dream oh well thanks Nick fucking got excited there doesn't get enough time with the players does he fucking hell to implement Debbie Downer in the corner there Jesus Christ I'm sorry yeah I think he's going to manage England For the rest of his life We're just trying to Speak into existence You see Tuchel With his team in the pub And they were playing pool Yeah In full kit Trying to flex Playing full kit pool Yeah in the Weatherspoons That's not true That can't be true Where's the pool table In Weatherspoons I've never been in one It looked like a Weatherspoons Yeah you're lying mate Maybe it was a Green King Maybe Or maybe it was just A local independent pub Trying to support the local Yeah Called the Three Lions I wonder where they were.
1:23:13I wonder where they were. The pub, mate. What's the next prediction? Well, you've mentioned England, so let's do one for England. Jude Bellingham will not start for England at the World Cup. You got that off my TikTok? Yeah, I don't think you will. Ever? The Tom Garry Discord have sent it in the top four opinions. I think he'll start a game. Yeah, I think he'll start a game. If we're through by the third game. My thing was, I said he won't be starting the first game. This is Jake Smith messaged this in. Yeah, what Jake's done is he saw that Tom put that on his TikTok and he wanted to get Tom's approval, so he's just copied yours.
1:23:48He'll start a game. Will has put the question down and then put a fake name next to it. I can show you if you want. I don't care. He will start. He'll start a game. In the group stage, he'll start a game. No, that's not what we're saying. We're saying the first game. He said he won't start. Oh, A game. I think he'll start. Yeah, maybe a dead rubber game. He'll start game three, I reckon. We're not just... what? The way we speak of Bellingham at the moment is he not like he is still a fantastic player. He is still fantastic. Are we not he's not though. We never no one's ever seen Is it because you just don't watch as much Real Madrid?
1:24:23No but that's never you watched him yesterday I watched him yesterday yeah. Now what? That's one game though. No I'm saying that. And it was in Jeddah. Long travel and that. Good game though that was really fun. Did you watch it? No. Is that just to like Perpetuate European football within Supercop Well they did it in general Yeah but they've put it in Supercopper or something It's dead Charlie's shield yeah That's what I'm saying So they moved it Yeah for sponsorship They did it last year I didn't know I think It's fucking stupid I don't think this is the first year They've done it like Mid season I think they've done it a few times Is Young's tackle No I haven't seen any of the highlights Actually like It actually wasn't that bad I know it looked bad Oh because he got But it actually wasn't that bad But it's dangerous If our player should have been a red card then he scored a good goal as well any more William?
1:25:12yeah one last one Lewis will storm the Newcastle United pitch naked at the time when we're a derby that's not wild he won't even be there the time we're a derby yeah yeah oh exactly yeah will you do that can you confirm Lord and I was are you going to go to the home one? I mean I'd love to go to either of them if there's tickets but like it's pretty hard well I would have loved to have went for that one as well but like it's pretty hard to get a ticket like. But I most likely will not. You're Adidas sponsored Louis Burden. It's an Adidas home game. I most likely will not take my clothes off. Most likely.
1:25:50Well, I cannot promise. I mean, like, if Louis Miley scores seven goals, I have no other choice. Oh, I've got a wild prediction. Oh, right. I've got, but it's very specific to us. I think Reeve wins the FPL this year, which is weird because every week, every week, every week is on zero points. I don't know how he's doing it, but he's clawed his way back up and he's looking good at the moment, guys. He's gone from last to second in a month. What's happened? You started trying or what? You got lucky. Getting rubber the green, I suppose. Oh, the rubber the green, very independent. Classic rubber the green.
1:26:23Is he declamising Igor Thiago in your team? Igor! No, just Rice. I don't have Thiago. Yeah, Rice hauled. Is that it, Will? Have you got one for us? Mine. Go on. Oh, I've got one. Sorry, another one. Go on. I was we'll draw walls in the cup tonight and we'll beat you I was thinking this might happen we might get you with our new manager speaking of the new manager who is he where's he from I don't know where he's from he's Welsh I think Eric Framson who's he come from he's a farmer coach isn't he he coached at Shrewsbury then I think Chelsea had him and then he went to Man United and then he's been managing Minnesota United you don't really know he's been optimistic yeah nice the only thing that worries me is apparently it was between him and Mason in the summer and Mason got the job.
1:27:11It was his second best. Oh, no. Yeah. But then also, Minnesota have never... Minnesota Wildcats. Minnesota have never finished fourth. They've never finished above six, I don't think, and he got them in four last year. Oh, so he's done a good job in the MLS. And this year, with really limited resources. You don't know, do you? But I think... For Gaze League, man. And he's got a lot more experience than Mason, so I don't know. you've got a hope haven't you you're a football fan yeah we'll see it's the hope that kills you though Tom I think we'll be well drilled and well coached anyway unlike we were under that twat I think Harry Kane will win the Ballon d 'Or yeah that's that I think Bayern will win the Champions League yeah he's going to have to go I think people are really underestimating Bayern will win the Champions League they're two individual predictions there yeah so I think you also beat PSG last year I'm just defending my club I think we often what's going on Arsenal underestimate Bayern Munich because the league's so poor I think they're a good team I just I think Kane That's not a wild shout To say Kane will win the Ballon d 'Or It's not but it's But nobody has said it Death and Rice will That's the other one If Bayern wins the Champions League That'll go against your prediction I know They won't Death and Rice win the Ballon d 'Or I said they'd flop in the Champions League If they win it I think that might go against My other one is that Wolves are staying up For Bayern Fucking hell What a tournament You've got to have hope, haven't you?
1:28:36You've got to have hope. As we just found out, Will. Yeah. I hope that kills you. Well, yeah. Did we find that out? I'm fucked then, aren't I? Yeah. What is the flop for Bayern, sorry, Tom? I think if they don't get to the quarterfinals. Yeah. Would you not agree? I would agree. I think even if they go out in the quarters, they're like the second favourite. I think the only team that are potentially better than them is Arsenal. Yeah, so that's what I mean. See, if they go out to anyone else, or like a Real Madrid, like a big name you get, but they get knocked out in the quarters by fucking Monaco or something.
1:29:06That's a flop, isn't it? They can take their foot off the gas come March, April. Arsenal can't. And I just think they might have a bit more legs. But I think that'll go against them. Maybe. Maybe. Yeah. Because they don't have any competitive games. I think that's why they lost to Inter last year. They're better than Inter. A few years ago, 2022, Liverpool just trailed off after April after all of the competitions. And I just think that could happen with Arsenal. I might be wrong. That's what we thought they were in with the quad, didn't it? That could be, that's a good argument for Arsenal, but I think the reason Bayern have tended to fail in the Champions League more than they should have, in my opinion, is because of how easy their league is.
1:29:41Yeah. And I'm pretty sure the two times they've won it in the last 15 years, they've actually had a title race, I'm pretty sure, or not even won it, was it? When did Dortmund win it? Bayern won it last year, Leverkusen won it. I'm not a shit about Dortmund, but yeah, I just think, I feel like Bayern, if you're playing every week, dead rubber games, winning 8-0 or whatever, How can you then turn up to go and play Real Madrid and just turn it on? So you're saying they should book a friendly end? No, that isn't what I'm saying. There's lack of competitiveness. That's what you're saying. Ugly free.
1:30:12That's what he's saying. Ugly, bogoid free. If I hear it right, he's thinking they should schedule the friendly end. On the day they prepare the Champions League. Friendlies are notoriously hard. Oh no, they'll see it. Is a wild prediction, is it wild or is it realistic to say that Bayern will be invincible in the league this year? I don't think that's wild any season to say because the league's a shit still only 1-14 through 2 still they're still undefeated I mean they beat they beat Wolfsburg 8-1 yeah that is like what is the point of this league they're 11 points clear they've only played 16 games so I read you the last so I read you the last few results in the Bundesliga are they all wins mate 8-1 4-0 2-2 5-0 3-2 3-1 6-2 2-2 3-0 against Leverkusen 4-0 Anyway Thanks for tuning in everyone I don't know how far I'm actually going to go Skips over our 2023 Skips over our Like, comment, subscribe Make sure you rate us 5 stars And if you've made it this far Put in the chat The Spotify chat Put a bog eye in Alright See ya They beat RB Salzburg 5-0 and a friendly
