Guests/backgrounds
Reeve, Thea Baker, and Tom Garrett are the regular hosts of Pitchside. The transcript includes their on-air football opinions; no additional guest bios are provided beyond their roles as hosts.
Key claims
- Man City’s 3-0 win over Man United showed City were comfortable; United missed open goals and City’s finishing could’ve made it bigger.
- Amorim should be sacked for stubbornness and for refusing to change his system despite personnel limitations; the team is “out of position” and lacks midfield/defensive profiles for his setup.
- United’s recruitment is questioned: spending on forwards (including Sesko) while allegedly failing to address midfield needs.
- Champions League should reward teams for European performance; the hosts argue six English teams is too many and debate whether Europa League winners should qualify.
Notable examples
- United’s Grimsby loss is cited as an embarrassment.
- City’s Haaland misses/open-goal discussion; Haaland and Foden praised.
- Champions League prediction picks include Liverpool as winners (Lewis), Barcelona as winners (others), Arsenal/PSG/Real Madrid as runners-up, and breakout stars like Eze and Barcelona’s Mark Bernal.

Man City beat Man United 3-0 to pile further pressure on Ruben Ameren. Adding to this already largely unwanted records, Ameren now has overseen. did you know what's happened there is people weren't convinced that you read straight off the prep and now all you've done is given them the ammunition that you do yes oh that's a shame um no seriously guys huge result at the weekend with um weekend the weekend uh city really just were comfortable over man united i thought man united didn't create harland looks scary again man united didn't really create they missed two open goals also man city missed two open goals Donnarumma pulled out a great save like and the Ombrella chance was actually pretty good as well actually it was a great save realistically if they had their shooting boots on rather than those triangle shoes that they do have it should have probably been another 6-3 yeah probably but this is why I'm confused we all saw them open goals right and like the Ombrella chance yeah I don't know why I said that to you I'd like to humbly apologise a bit silly wasn't it yeah it was very silly of me but I mean you cheated on me after some quiz as well yeah that's embarrassing by the way I've been thinking about that non-stop how fucking stupid Pidgey Wall are but hey I digress it adds up really doesn't it leave the chat have you seen the XG from the game Harland's open goal miss was 0.2 how does that doesn't make sense it's by Statshmats you've got to take them with a pinch of salt they're full of shit usually Tom as the Oracle who's your standout player yesterday it's probably Harland Foden was good though I thought Foden was brilliant Foden was very good Doku was good I don't actually think City were that good they didn't have to be I thought they were They were good in moments They were better Than they've been In some of their other games They reminded me Of when they played Wolves They were just good in moments And killed the game But their goals all had That little bit of quality Oh yeah Like Doku's bit of skill I know he got the rebound And played it back over To Foden But that bit of skill To get past Who was it?
2:13Shaw or someone like that Probably Someone like that And then Haaland The way Haaland was quality Both of Haaland's finish They look He made them look easy Yeah Which is the sign of a great striker Like not all strikers The chip was nice Because he was running so quick And he's The first one's not as easy he makes it look as well like he's just so clinical but even the one on one that couldn't have been Martin the corner a lot of strikers like Nunes for example like when they had that much time well it's true though they overthink it a bit they overthink when you got so much time you almost overthink it well Reindeer's had the same thing didn't he yeah and he did miss that yeah he chipped it wide the thing was is Amarabh ever going to change formation at all no they need to get rid of him like go on have you not seen his have you seen his interview oh my god it's crazy I'm something more than you I'm never going to change so fucking sack him then I will not change.
2:58Imagine losing more than any other team in his tenure and he's fucking saying I'm not changing. I never thought I'd say this. You've been preaching to the choir about how even Ange Postacoglu, right? Hang on, let me talk. He adapted in games, which, you know, you have to adapt. All the top managers adapt. This bloke is the most stubborn guy I've ever seen. They get rid of him. But he's wrong as well. He does it. I saw against Grimsby, who was their left wing back at one point? I can't remember. Who's Grimsby's? You know when they played Grimsby, remember at the end of the game, before he went to pens, who was their left-wing back?
3:30I can't remember. It was Mount. Right, yeah. Like, he's playing all these people out of position. You even banged on about it. Like, Bruno Fernandes is a deep centre mid. People get sucked out of position as well because if there's only, if you have five in the back, you have three centre-backs and I think it was Neville talking about it and, like, you have three of, now you have these two wide centre-backs who are getting dragged in here to pick up a man. They don't have the players. They don't have the players. They don't have the players to play this system. Bro, he's trying to talk real for a second.
3:54He did. He's trying to get every word to somebody just looking up at you like this. They don't have the players to play this system. They're playing with three flat centre-halves. If you're going to play Man City, right, who've got one of the best midfielders in the world who interchange and rotate against two, and the two is fucking a Garty. And a 10. And a 10? Yeah. That's fine if you have like a John Stones at centre-half who steps into midfield. They don't have that at the back. They're playing a left back. at left centre half. De Ligt, who, look, he's a decent defender but he's never going to step into midfield and play, and who's at the centre half who started yesterday?
4:29Shaw, De Ligt and Jorre. And Jorre, again Jorre, like an out and out centre half who again, he's decent on the ball but he's not going to be able to do what like Stones does or even Maguire would have been a better, they just get overran and then they've got wing backs and then they're so fucking distant from the front three. Sesko is shit. Yeah. Like rubbish. Who called that? Surely you can watch that and go, something isn't working. We can't get away with it. Any team who plays free in midfield, they're going to lose against. By the way, it's not... No, United will. Not necessarily. That system can work with the right personnel.
5:06But it's not a good system if the system needs the perfect players. If your system isn't adaptable, say look at Brentford or teams who have lost loads of players, the system works with lesser quality players and that's a good system because it's adaptable to how the season plays out. if Man Utd do get the perfect plays they're one injury away from it all falling apart again Crystal Palace play the same system and it works because they've got the runners in and they've got the players who can run but do you know what as well City adapted when they bought in Erling Haaland they completely changed the way they play because they adapted to the players that they had whereas Manchester United are not doing that is this not the point that we were sort of talking about before where their transfer strategy like they've got these big name players but we're saying they don't have the players is that not then the logic when I was saying don't waste this money on Sesco which we can see as a waste hasn't played out and maybe get some lesser quality players but can fill the roles that you need because we're still seeing somehow they don't have the players for the system.
5:55It's more midfield, isn't it? They need a centre midfielder. Not even. Just play Kobe Mane. Yeah, Mane is still on the bench. He's crazy. I saw a stat yesterday. You're dragging that a bit. The players have signed. Mbema and Cunha are good signing. Sesco, Sesco. Alston wanted him. You wanted him. No, I agree. To everyone, Sesco still could be a good signing. He was an attractive player. that United did need three forwards but they also needed midfielders and a goalie but you can't buy they can't sign fucking ten players no no no this is because you're comparing it to Newcastle Arsenal yes but they won those players but those teams are in very different situations where they have their system down they've got the players and now they're adding quality to that system already works Man United don't already have the players to actually work in the way they want to so why don't they spread that money wider they've just signed two tens in Ben Buemo and Cunha that they needed they didn't desperately need they couldn't score goals that season Lewis they couldn't score goals but what Tom's point is they needed a centre mid who can run because Cobham-Main seems to be surplus to requirement but what I'm saying is Man Utd still should be after goal they only bought like what four players a lot of money though they spent a lot of money mate but come on they're Manchester United I just don't understand how we're saying Arsenal spent a lot of money but they filled in the depth that they needed Man Utd Man Utd yeah but you're you're building depth from having an already set 11 who were like the second best in the league and you've added to that.
7:18United's first 11 was mid-table. They're trying to just get their first 11 to top six, let alone depth. They're not worried about depth. They had to sign players who were ready to start, which was Cunha and Bemo, in their opinion, Sesko. He thought he could play in midfield, I think of Agati and Bruno. I think he's too stubborn. I think he's out his depth. That's my opinion. But he thinks the players they've signed are good enough. Do you know what? Is this not a big problem that Man United ownership are in now? See, this continues not to work. and they have went all in into his ideology and trying to back the best he can.
7:50It's the problem with Man United. They keep spending all this money but then they keep refreshing the manager and the project and then all of a sudden they have mixed fashion players again who aren't fitting the new system. Now I think another manager can come in and make this system work. I don't think you need to make the system work. You just change systems. That's what I mean. You can just change the three midfield. It's pretty easy. A lady called in on TalkSport I was listening to the other day and she was like traditionally Man United we play with two centre-halves. We have these centre-halves who can defend against these top strikers and just keep them at bay.
8:19And at the moment, they're not doing that. We saw a great stat, actually, that came up about how many points Man United have won since Amarin came in charge. They're actually, at the bottom of the table, obviously, that excludes the relegation teams. Yeah, yeah. But they've won 31 points in 31 games. I fucking love that stat. To be fair, we're sort of ignoring the fact they're 11 points of Spurs. Yeah, but they have a trophy. 31 points from 31 games and the Spurs stat is actually bolstered from this season as well right yeah I mean they're actually getting points it's a shame for Man United fans because they would have looked at that opening game against Arsenal and there was so much promise there and it's just like there still is there still is they need to get rid of him yeah well do you know what I don't get right you don't have to instantly go 0-100 % into the system if it's not working you can phase it in slowly though I don't see it's so fucking arrogant he's too stubborn he's too stubborn It's because it worked at Sporting, which we've all seen.
9:15Sporting is not a Premier League club. Yeah, I know, because certain players can score 70 goals there, so it's not that good. But he is, again, just a different calibre of manager as well. I actually think he's self-sabotaging off. I think he wants out. I'm not even joking. I will not change. Some kamikaze run to get rid of him. Please sack me. Seriously, for the payout, I honestly think he's half wanting to get sacked. No way. That's just, it comes across. He's got to have some self-respect. Did you, what do you mean? I think that's gone from his interviews. Did you not listen to him after? I'm suffering more than you.
9:53He might just be like. Oh yeah, sorry. So yeah, self-sabotaging is crazy, but him going mental, he's not. Well, yeah. He's losing his mind. You're literally seeing him with a chessboard on the side of the picture, Grimsby. It doesn't get worse than that. I heard it was chess. He's just giving up. What do you think? On an actual level here, lads, what is the solution for Man United? A new manager? Who? I don't know. I don't know. Is Zidane still interested in doing anything? Eddie Howe. Go and get Eddie Howe. He's never going to leave Newcastle. Why? You'll leave England, that's it, isn't it? Not for Man United.
10:24Why? Because they are in a turmoil of shit. No, they're not. Yes, they are. Mate, we've played four games. Man United... You just completely ignore last season as well. What's last season got to do with anything? Who's so? Man United. Man United. Sorry, sorry, sorry. No, hang on a second. Can't you say, what has Man United got to do with anything? Last season got to do with anything? Yeah, because it's a new season. Of course it's relevant. They're in a turmoil of shit. Yes, they are. Just to offer some contrast, he did actually inherit his job when you were in a load of shit. Yeah, no, but there's...
10:56I can't be bothered to say... No, but I'm saying he inherited the Newcastle job when they were. Why did Sesco choose Man United over? Because he's still Man United, but there's no denying that they're not in a turmoil of shit. No, I don't think he is, but like... I think they could get him. Not a chance. When he leaves, it's for England. I agree. I don't think he goes Man United. Who would want to go to Man United if you're doing that well of Newcastle? It's not even that. His kids are Geordie now. His kids are grown up in Newcastle. They'll settle there. Come on, man. They sound like a stupid argument.
11:26That's not stupid. Having your kids settled is a very big reason behind that. I think if Man United went for any how they could tempt him away, personally. I disagree wholeheartedly. Because it's not even worth going into that. Why? Because it's just a mental thing to say. Why? Because it's just... The same way Sesko chose them over you. A very different situation. It is a different situation. It's a silly argument to be honest. Newcastle are obviously the far better team in a far better position, but it's Man United. They're a more attractive club for most people in football. Not right now, though.
11:52We've just seen it first and with Sesko. Yeah, with one example as a player, but I'm saying, if you actually look wholeheartedly and not just narrowly focus on one thing to fit your argument, then actually, probably more people... You've just compared to Sesko, who's got his whole career ahead of him to an Eddie Howe who's also got his whole career ahead of him wants a player who's young Eddie Howe Eddie Howe's a young manager this is the thing it's hard to explain to like someone like you who's oh Michael just going to think it's just stupid I'm not thinking stupid it's a pointless thing about Eddie Howe Eddie Howe is so ingrained in that flow he thinks you're not in a turmoil of shit right now he thinks they're doing great he's literally created history and he's continued to create history it's not a job done for him now he has so much more that he wants to go and do you said this time about Isaac no I didn't I said Isaac will leave next season Eddie Al will never leave.
12:36He'll leave for England. He'll leave for the England job. And then whatever he does from there, he does. I think he'll... He wants to get a big, big trophy with us and then he'll be gone. But he's got a while with us now. What's a big, big trophy? Premier League? Champions League? I think... It's not even like a funny thing. He will be aiming for that one day. Going back to the term on a shit sort of thing. I'm really laughing at you. He's used... The kids call it begging it. I'm not begging it. I'm just laughing. Manu are the 14th after four games. They've got Chelsea next. They've got Chelsea next.
13:06They're going to lose that, aren't they? Let's be honest. Might do. They're in 14. They just keep tumbling down the league. Well, they can't tumble further. They can. They can get to the bottom, mate. They can. Isn't the very bottom on zero points, though? West Ham on three points in the relegation zone. Man Utd on four points. Yeah. We've had four games. Why are we looking at tables? Because you saw it last season. You saw it last season. Nothing's changed. In fact, I'd argue they may be fucking worse. They are worse. They're worse than last season. Do you know how bad it was, Garth? I don't think they're worse.
13:35They lost to Grimsby. They lost to Grimsby. What do you mean? They lost to Grimsby, mate. They're a big striker. They've been a brand new striker. They're so scared to play for him. He's like, I'll take nine in a penalty shoot against Grimsby. I think they should sack him. They're not looking better. Even Rudy says they're worse. The thing is, you're saying they look better. Under Amarin, they've got worse. That's what I mean. They made them so substantially worse. And then they've improved slightly this season. It's still worse. I remember when Amarin came in after a month and I said, they're worse.
14:03and you lot laughed at me. You said you're so... I don't know. You agree with me. You said you're so... Oh my God, no, it's so much better. They're going to do great. You were saying they're going to finish up a forest? Shock. I think they were all this season. No, last season you were saying they're going to finish up a forest. we're right again. But no one ever picks up on that, do they? Because it's so rare. Do you genuinely think that's how the season will end? Sure. What? United. Tumbling down. If they keep Amarim, yeah, 100%. I agree. If they keep Amarim, I think they'll get rid of him I want to see how this goes they have no choice but to get rid of him I think yeah they should have sacked him after Grimsby in my opinion that's an embarrassment that's a genuine embarrassment the thing is though this isn't even on Amram so much as it's but it is though this isn't so much on Amram as it is the ownership where like they brought in remember they brought in Ashworth and Ashworth was like suggesting a direction for the club that they've just not went with and to a point where they sacked Ashworth because he just didn't agree with him that much and they went the wrong way, got Amram and he's failed and all this money and time has been wasted down to the ownership not listening to the person they hired to come in and make the decision.
15:07Do you know why they actually might not sack him? Alan Pardew raised this point and he said they actually might not sack him because you know you're saying he's looking to get the payout for getting sacked. That's why they might not sack him. How can you fire all these staff? Yeah, they fired all these and then they went and spent £80 million on a striker. United have money. Let's not pretend like the United are skinned. it's Man United why didn't they buy a DM then I think that was 2.5 % of the I think that was PSR because they'd already spent what 180 million how much have they spent on the goalie Cunha and Bomo and Seska I think they'd gone to their limit they need to spend better mate they do they do actually need to spend better I think it's a shambles behind the scenes it's mental again they went down another wrong path it's like there's a left and right and they keep booking into a wall there coming back and going back down they're playing their best player out of position I don't think it's that hard to recover if you're getting in they're playing their best player out of position to accommodate a system that doesn't work I'm sorry but he could do a job at United I could not do it's becoming a toxic relationship now because it's almost like Amrim just resents the club now yeah 100 % they need to get rid of yeah but moving on to English successful sides Champions League starts up again this week Yay!
16:27Quite excited for this one. Me too. Me three. Have you all just said that Manchester United are not a successful English side, by the way? Not right now. Well, they're not. Oh, they're shit. They're a bottom half table team. Yeah. No, I know, I know. Six teams, six English sides are in the Champions League this year. Well done, guys. Are you excited? Too much? Too little? I do think it's too many. It's too many. I think it should be four. It's good to see English teams. No, it's good. Newcastle benefited from it. Show us how good the Premier League is going right now. It's a shitty rule That allows six teams To qualify I actually agree And Newcastle benefited Of it last season But it's for When we qualified Through fifth I was happy to have Champions League But I didn't feel like We got Champions League You've moaned How bad Spurs are And Spurs are in it Yeah I know I'm asking you a question It shows how good The English teams are Well it does show How good the English teams are What the team that Finished 17 Is in the Champions League But they won the Europa League That's always been the case Wait no hang on a sec Hang on a sec No no no I can't believe you did that I'm not no hear me out here Tottenham shouldn't even be the argument because they've always anyone who wins the Europa League always goes in the Champions League they're finished 17th in the league and you're advocating this is good for English football yeah but how long has the rule been in place when you're in the Europa League going to the Champions League fucking decades but you said it's a sign of how good the English teams are no it's not for the fifth team who's the fifth team who qualify Newcastle there you go that's a good thing for Newcastle it's a good thing for me it should be I think it should be five with your Europa League winner and four top four.
17:54You argued it shows how good the league is. But then you don't get rewarded for English teams progressing further in the competition. So what are you saying? I think in Europa League you get it. No, I'm saying the reason why you're in it is because English teams performed really well last season in the Champions League. That should always be a thing. If you go deep in the tournament your league should be rewarded for how well your team is. Hang on, what are you guys saying then is if the Europa League winger say that Spurs won them they win they go in the Champions League. I don't agree with that either.
18:21If it's just for top four for England then the third place should be demoted from the Champions League is that what you're saying what what think about it so if it's top four if it's top four of England team I think he was saying four plus the one that wins it so five four plus yeah so I think four plus the he's saying that his team shouldn't be in the competition no I'm glad we are but I just so yeah we qualified in fifth and I'm buzzing we got Champions League but it doesn't it didn't feel like finishing fourth you know what I mean like where that just puts a history though yeah it is I think it's because I've grown up with that The fifth place has got Champions League a fair amount of times in the past in the Premier League, no?
18:56Football different now, man. Football different. Wait, so am I the only person that's excited that there's loads of English teams in the competition? Because you're miserable. I'm not asked. I'm not miserable. I just don't care. You're about everything these days. I've said everything is good that there's every chance that English teams are going deeper. You go, fucking boo-hoo! Four English teams! I don't want English teams to do well in Europe. It means nothing to me. Surely you do. That's not what you were saying last year. What means Man United and Spurge? Spurs said it was a good thing. I wanted Spurs to win the Europa League to piss you two off.
19:25You wanted the English teams to progress. No, I have no... I don't care. I don't care who wins the Champions League. It's got nothing... There's no bearing on my line. I'm not going to lie. It sounded like you cared last year. Sounds like you cared. I wanted Spurs to win the Europa League, yes. Because I predicted them to win it and it was funny to wind you two up. So you wanted an English team to win the Europa League then? So you wanted them to progress well? But not because they're English. I want Barcelona... I want Barcelona to win the Champions League this year. Like, I don't... It doesn't affect my team, does it?
19:52Do you want Newcastle to do well? Is it not cool to watch? I don't care. Care a little bit. No, I don't. Are you not more invested to watch Barcelona play an English side than Barcelona play, I don't know, Dortmund? Yeah, of course. So there's more chance of that happening. But I don't care. You do. Newcastle, Barca are on the telly. You care about that result. I want Barca to win for you, though, because of you. Not because they're English. If Barcelona played West Ham, I wouldn't care either way Yeah But you care about Newcastle Because of you I want them to lose Because of you That's not very nice So I want Arsenal To do badly Because of these two I don't actually care You've got a lot of hate In your heart Tom Why don't you show some love Just This is the way football is Atletico Madrid Atletico Barcelona
20:41Real Madrid Villarreal So there's five Spanish teams In there Yeah Oh well There's too many teams In it anyway We're going to be doing Our Champions League They're called the Champions League. We've got fucking teams finishing 17th in England, innit? Is that... Who are they? That's not Europe. They're 31st in the Kazakhstan Premier League. What are we doing? You know what? That's actually all right. At least they are champions. Is it Kazakhstan in Asia? Oh, yeah. How the fuck is that? Kazakhstan playing like the UAE for competitions, don't they? Do they? Pathos are in it. They're 11th in Cyprus.
21:11What are we doing? Yeah, that is stupid. That is stupid. I'm sorry. It's going to be the Champions League. Yeah, but that's why there's Champions League qualifications. They shouldn't be in it. They shouldn't be in it, because that's just three points to whoever gets them. That's so poor from you. Yes, it is three points. No, it's like the FA Cup. You qualify for it. You get through the rounds. They've qualified for the Champions League rounds. It's a bit like any team that plays you away from home. They've deserved it. But it's not called the Champions FA Cup, is it? The Champions League should be champions only, so you shouldn't be in it.
21:36They've always had qualification. It's like we've changed in history. I understand the rules. I'm saying I don't like them. If they get through, and then shit would get them out. I think it should. the Champions League should be should be champions so it's one team per country no no no the FA Cup winners they should be in it alright the Cyprus fucking FA Cup that's fine with me that's fine with me where did Paphos finish last year yeah there we go champions so they're in it they deserve to be in it hang on you weren't saying that 30 seconds ago Newcastle should they won the league no no no no Paphos are in it no no no you're wrong you're fucking wrong say sorry now that should be the Champions League 30 seconds ago he said Paphos shouldn't be in it And now you're saying they should be in it.
22:17I didn't know they won it. It's because you said they were 11. No, you didn't know, did you? I didn't know they won it. So you have to apologise then, don't you? So yeah, Paphos definitely should be in it. They're the champions. Good boy. The champions of Cyprus. I don't think a team, the wishy-washy team that finished second every year in England should be in it. How dare you talk about Paphos like that? You know what? I'm on about Arsenal. The Cypriots are coming for you. I'm on about Arsenal. Is it not just free coin stuff? I'm now a Paphos player. Player? You actually look like their badge.
22:43Get their badge back on. well blank I don't know they've got look that's a full set of hair that's not a full set of hair that's definitely not me it's fucking Elvis Presley it does look like Elvis no but speaking of which guys we're going to be doing our Champions League prediction so we've got winners runners up best player top scorer breakout star biggest flop brackets player overachiever brackets club and underachiever brackets club I've done this without any bias so have I and I've done a lot of research into the breakouts so I'm really happy with my choice I don't think I have anyone who's not from Indian English League you go first you go first top goal scorer I ain't hard so winners no should we not just go each on this one alright winners yeah everyone's winners no should we go should we start at winners or go from bottom up start at winners start at winners ok it feels like weird seeing winners before runners up though doesn't it what are we doing it all at the same time yeah winners Go on, Lewis I'm saying Liverpool Did you predict them in your actual predictions, Shane?
23:49I think I might have I lose track of your predictions I just think, right Do you not want to keep it consistent? No And also the season changes Now, Liverpool I think the thing that gives me most confidence about Liverpool they're not even playing that good at the moment yet they get winning games I love this narrative It's hilarious They are playing that good though and they're winning games and I'm like when they start cooking even more then it's like I'll eat the other way around Yeah, I think they're playing very well against someone fucking good. That argument is hilarious, by the way, because it depends on the team.
24:16You're like, oh, they're getting last minute winners. It's a great sign of a champion. They're going to do great. Or you could say they're just getting lucky and they're playing pretty poorly. Which actually, certain clubs, you'd probably say that. The same happened with Arsenal. Do you remember when they were beating Bournemouth and that, and it's just not sustainable? You can't sustain that. And he said the opposite about it. They'll be all right in the league because they're better than everyone. With respect to Arsenal, like, there's a difference in the teams. No, there's not. There's one...
24:39Not really. Arsenal have a way bigger depth No there is There's Liverpool Who have Winners who are serial winners Last minute free kick I'm sorry He's forgetting They literally lost to Liverpool Let's not compare Liverpool and Arsenal Until they win a trophy That's all I said All I said So why can't you beat them then? Because you're fucking bottle jobs You shit houses Your arse goes flappy flappy Can you identify Can you identify The key difference between Liverpool and Arsenal's team The key has more depth. They're winners. The key difference is Liverpool have winners in there. Like, not just winners who have been the top level successful.
25:16Van Dijk, who know how to win. And there's a lot of new... All right. Okay, let's have a bet then. There's a lot of new players who've been brought into this team and they're getting carried by these winners. But once these learn the ways and get used to it, they're going to cook. Yous are losers. Yeah. Unfortunately, you are fucking losers. Okay, what have you said? Arsenal, everyone, loses. If you believe that, you're not just doing it to rage bait and you think Liverpool win the Champions League I think Arsenal will go further than Liverpool so let's have a shake on that how much? £100 oh he soon pulled I'll do a grand I don't have that money to be well no but it's free money for you you can only bet what you can afford to lose you can only bet what you can afford to lose £200 £100 £150 he's just told you what he can afford £150 that's such a bad bet by him they're fucking shit then he gets in semis last year yeah Yikarez are going to carry them through the Champions League.
26:08Right, so who do you say? He's going to fall over his own shoe. Right, so you've gone with Barcelona to win the Champions League. Liverpool. What? No, sorry. I think that's a projection. Yeah. I may have just read my own prediction. I've gone Barcelona to win it. I've gone Arsenal, same as my prediction. I've gone Arsenal, same as I double down on you. Has anyone... Will, do you know if anyone's changed their prediction? Well, it's funny you say that because my runners-up are Arsenal. Oh, you think we're losing the final? Yeah. 0-6 vibes. Typical Arsenal. That would be amazing. Yeah. Oh, my God.
26:36What an amazing watch that'll be. I'll put Bayern Munich. Liverpool Bayern final? Do you know what, right? It's weird, but I just don't think it's always the best team. I just see a random Bayern Munich final, but flopping at the final. You're saying it's not the best team. They are a pretty good team. Yeah, but I've never really fancied German teams. I think they're rubbish. Bayern are undefeated this year. I think they've got no Muziola. They're going to be rubbish, I think. That's what I mean, but sometimes a curveball comes your way. I think it would be easy to say like... He's Bayern a curveball?
27:05Yeah. I think Bayern are a curveball. They're a very good team. They've got 12 goals in three games. Yeah, but it's the German league. In the German league, wow, they definitely win the Champions League. All right, you know what? Let's just not look at any games Bayern have played all season. But Theo, with respect, we... Irrelevant, it's the German league. Theo, we just signed a striker from this league and he went off on the 65th minute with Kramps in the Premier League. Like, I love him. He played great, but it's a different, like, fucking intensity. Paphos are undefeated as well. Should we fucking have him to win it?

27:30But Bayern are not a curveball in the Champions League. Bundesliga is better than the Cyprus League. I feel like they make it to a final. people will be pretty surprised. Bayern? No way. No, they won't. Bayern Munich? Yeah, but the German... They're one of the biggest clubs in the world. Yeah, but the German league is... What are you... It's Bayern fucking Munich, mate! Bayern Munich will be one of the favourites to win it. Nah. Didn't Dortmund do a number on you twice as well and you're moaning about the German league? Didn't Bayern win it like two years ago? No. They went in Covid, didn't they?
27:56Yeah, Kingsley Covid. Three years ago. How long was Covid ago? Five, six years ago. 2021 it was. Yeah, they've won it six times. They've got the same mountain of titles as Liverpool. 11 in the past, bro. What are you on about? I had to win four times on that game. To be fair, Milan have 27. What are we talking about? That's a silly stat. That's a silly argument to say. It's almost like all the players who were in that team have retired. Get up the odds, the odds of the favourites to win it. I'll bet you Bayern will be fourth or fifth favourites. 100 % they will. I think they will, but they shouldn't be in the final.
28:22Why not? What are you on about? Bayern are the same price. They're not in the top four. They're the same price as Madrid. Where they at? Oh, on the other one. There they are. All the way down there. 11-1 that's an outside call there I don't think they're like they're like the eighth choice on your own and you know you go by the odds 7-1-2-3-4-5-6-7 yeah there you go the seventh favourite I apologise you said top four and the eighth there's 36 teams you said top four before and now you see it and also the staff doesn't matter I thought they'd be shorter odds you're making out can I ask Luke I'm not saying I'm calling Olympiacos to do it from what you've seen this season of Bayern why do you think that they won't make that Harry Kerr
29:06then that's a reverse argument let's not Harry Kane's the reason they'd probably be in the final by the way I'm glad he started this argument early in the predictions can't we get down your list and we're going to start questioning you let's not act like we're watching the teams in Europe it's just stupid I have been I've been doing a lot of research this morning what do you think I've been doing so you've been watching you watched all the games this morning no I've been doing a lot of research in all the leagues but that's just copying what other people have seen no it's looking at stats oh right the leagues that's such a lack of ball knowledge it's not eye test it's laziness it's about the eye test knowledge.
29:33I've got a redemption arc. Wait, are your runners up for Arsenal? My runners are PSG for the redemption. Interesting. But then they flop. Oh. Arsenal to beat. I disagree. I disagree heavily on that and we'll discuss that later. All right. Interesting. More to come. Foreshadowing. Well, yeah, very good. But it's not as good foreshadowing when you call it out. My runners up, I've got Real Madrid. Shock. They are cooking this season. They are cooking. Well, funny you say that, Tom, because my best player is actually Mbappe but they were losing the final to Arsenal. He's on fire. See when we go about best player right?
30:09This is what I mean is it player of the tournament or is it just the best player from? Jamal. Okay I'll put Gabriel. I'll put. I didn't know if it's player of the tournament or if it's like the best player. Well if we're gonna win it then. You win the tournament. Arsenal win the Champions League are the standout player for them. That sums you lot up. Honestly. I have to win the Champions League and the player of our tournament is Gabriel. He's got the most clearances. Fucking hell, mate. You've just spent 175 million on Eze. You've got Madweki, Jockeré, Erdogan, Declan Rice. And your player of the tournament is going to be Gabriel won as the Champions League.
30:56There's logic there. Fuck off, The logic is we will win this tournament by keeping clean sheets. So? This is why five seconds before I said, is it going to be player of the tournament or best player? Either way, the way. Is it the same thing? For you to win the Champions League, you'll have soccer at new levels. For you to actually win it, you'll have your soccer league. They'll get very good though, won't they? Gabriel will. Zubamendi. Fucking Gabriel. Oh, that was fuck it. I love it. Thank you for that. You are honestly. Your manager's rubbing off on you. I'm embarrassed. If he scores a header in the final, mate, there we go.
31:30You talk about the big players, that's a complete side note and tangent. You know Jokic's goal when Eze played it in? That's the difference. Because Martin Lilley's no fucking way. Oh, no. That was his first time left foot straight across. That was a really fluid goal. That was a really fluid goal. Best player, Gabriel, Yamal. I went with Shobhyslay. I think next season. What did you say? Why'd he laugh at me and you just picked a guy that was playing right back? Shobhyslay, this season. No, no, no. Shobhyslay is a great... and then you put a... I love this show so much. No, think about it. This guy is reaching new...
32:06He's reaching... The players, Liverpool, they've just spent fucking 200 million on the Isaac Eccatique. Isaac's already on strike again? Yeah, bro. Nah, Salah. You've fucking dominated Salah. No, let us say it. No, Shogslai, this season, already, already reaching new levels. Yes, he's feeling right back. He's scored big goals for them. Is he going to win Liverpool in the Champions League? I think he's going to be the general of Liverpool from right back. Nah, nah. So the argument, the exact argument you just laughed at me for. You picked a defender. So did you. He's playing right back. Currently, he's not going to be stuck there.
32:38He might be. He's not going to be, lads. He might be the new trend. Let's not be silly. Who's replacing him in the field at this point, though? Anyone he wants. He's fucking phenomenal. He's reaching new levels this season. Only because he's out of position. Because he's out of position. That's why he's reaching these new levels. Because people are going, fucking, he's actually really good at right. in position. Well, yeah, there's the argument. But he's also, unlike Gabriel, he'll be affecting the team from the back and also up the pick. Wait, Gabriel definitely will be affecting the team from the back.
33:04You were just bragging about big free kicks and now all of a sudden you don't like them. No, Gabriel don't affect the team from the back, guys. I didn't say that. The argument... He doesn't do it up front, sorry. You said... He probably threw more goals in Subozla last season. Subozla, I know. Back of goals. In the comments there, back of me right now. That's a terrible argument. Gabriel's one of our biggest One of our biggest threats From all set pieces Oh You said set pieces We only scored We only scored How many goals How many goals You scored from set pieces This season You fell off a cliff All you do is play It's going to be a downfall It's going to be a downfall Is it I suppose I was just thinking Who's yours Oh you said Mbappe Shock You filmed him Top goal scorer I've also got Mbappe For that reason I've gone Mbappe You've gone Mbappe I've gone Mbappe For top scorer They've got a really nice run aren't they?
33:53Shock, you fucking fancy him, you want to shag him. And also, Alonso's been dropping Vinny. Yeah, he has. They've been focusing on Mbappe. Finally, they've just... But he played through the middle and it's working. Well, yeah, he's obviously one of the best strikers in the world, isn't he? But I think, and shock, horror, they've dropped Vinny and then someone else hasn't been in the team and they look more like a team, Madrid, with... Yeah, Trent, friend of the show. Is he? Not Trent. Trent's not... He's got a two-year-old, isn't he? He's gone more He's had the bollocks To drop Vinny basically And focus on Mbappe Play Rodri Off the left And they've gone With more legs in midfield And Madrid do look better Who's playing out right For Madrid They're nowhere near As good as Barcelona Don't know Barcelona are looking bad At the moment I'm quite excited To play them Bad?
34:37Yeah they've been They won 5-0 last night No they didn't I've seen before 6-0 Lewandowski came They were just off the back Of a shitty draw They had The manager was out Of the press due to Rayo Valakana that was the one I see who actually outplayed him and no the manager was just in the press and saying like yeah he gave them a bit of a kick up the arse it must have worked last night do you know why they actually who's your top goal scorer I'd put Eketike I think he's going to be really kicking off are you really going for Liverpool this do you genuinely think he's going to is that going to take that's what I mean he's not going to start enough games is he he's going to play majority mate I disagree I think if Eketike is going to have the benefit of the doubt to keep his place and I think I back him to keep his place Isak's going to start from Liverpool, mate.
35:20You don't spend that much money for him not to be the number nine. It's not a certain. $130 million on him. You don't think it's a certainty that Isak starts from Liverpool once he's fit? I think Eketika's performances will decide that. Yeah, but move him out left. If Eketika keeps scoring... Well, he was rubbish yesterday, so... Yeah, it's not ideal for Matej now, but that was one game. He's been good the rest of the season. Also, Liverpool will have a lot of games this season. They need to rotate. Sometimes football... Isak will start in the Champions League. Listen, use the football to black and white.
35:44Isak will start... It's not always the obvious answer. of Liverpool's games at number nine. All right. Breakout star. I just dig normally. I think Haaland gets the most goals. Oh, you haven't done it? Oh, that's right. I thought you said it. Do you know why that's not a bad shout? I was looking at... His record in Santa Barbara is insane. Do you know why I'd choose an Erland Haaland to be the most goals? City may not get the top eight, so they might have extra games in the group. There you go. That's even better then. Oh, you don't think they'll actually go through for it? They haven't got an easy run of games, City.
36:12I think Haaland looks sharp this season. Very inventive. Whereas Madrid have got really nice they've got some shitter at home I can't remember you'll probably get four against them they're up there on those City's fixtures City got Napoli at home that's a tough game yeah De Bruyne they've not got an easy easy little run look Monaco as well looked good this season Villarreal away Dortmund Leverkusen Madrid Vodo Glimt even Vodo Glimt away they're fucking decent and then Galatasaray they haven't got one easy game have they City that's why it's the Champions League Tom that's why I think that is a very good He's a good outside bet, actually, Harlan.
36:48He's a good price, but I still think I'm back by getting it. Breakout star. Now, you go ahead. I've gone one because it's his first time in the Champions League. Eze. I like it. That's fair. Yeah, first time. Because that is his Champions League breakout. No, it is his breakout. Champions League breakout. Yeah. That's kind of a beast mode. I think that's good too. I went with Volta Marder. No, him similarly. It's his first. I went for the Newcastle striker. Well, he's looking very good. By the way, you had no problem with the Arsenal midfielder. Yeah, but Eze is like well-known class Eze is like a Premier League proven beast Yeah, so for a breakout star my take would be a little bit better then Wouldn't it?
37:24What have you seen of him that makes you think he's going to break up on the Champions League? Seen him score a goal seen some good link-up player Why are you so instantly anti-Waltemarie? I'm not actually I think he's a continuous bowed into me I know, I feel like he's trying to make points but there is logic to it I'm under-side He's first game in the Champions League against Barca he'll be starting he's going to have to be starting for the next few weeks and in the future we're whistling out Genuine question with back to full fitness do you reckon Vortimata still starts I think we might play them together I think we're going to start playing them together because that was our original plan with Izak and Eketika and Wulmada can play as a 10 I don't know Eketika The original plan So what's the what's the team then I don't get it I don't know I think generally he's been trying to find a different our basic is 4-3-3 and how we play but I think Howell's been trying to find an alternate to that for a while like five at the back but it hasn't worked and I think he is trying to find like a second system to rotate to but one of your main strengths has been your wingers yeah I agree and your midfield you've got one of the best midfields in Europe I don't understand why in terms of who's starting I think he'll just be alternating a lot I think that's what it'll be because you've got a lot of games he's seen the thing is Whistle would have definitely been starting on the weekend if he wasn't injured so yeah definitely is Volta Molder not going to just be the first choice I think I don't I think it would just have been to start to Wissar in that game I think it would have been a lot of pressure how much was Wissar 50 55 not far off the 67 was it I thought he was 80 no I think the plan would have been to start Wissar and maybe bring Wissar on and face him because he's only young and he I think he looks really promising from his first game and if Eddie Howell Eddie Howell was a very good history and improving players as well I liked his goal a lot actually I thought he was really good.
39:12It was a good heavyweight. Number nine forward play. Yeah. Go on, man, Theo. Theo's done loads of research on this. This is the guy I've been researching. I had a tip off my friend in Barcelona, actually, Tom. You might know about him. You're a big Barcelona fan. He's been out for a whole year with an ACL. Let me tell you about Mark Bernal. Oh, Bernal. He looks like a Busquets regen. I don't think he's a breakout, though. Of course he is. He's 18 years old. He's in the Champions League squad. He was starting, wasn't he, before he got injured? Barely. He missed the whole of our season last season.
39:43I think it's fair to say breakout because if he had a big season in the Champions League, then the whole world's going to be more on him. He's very good. Mate, oh my God, he looks sensational. You know, he came on and assisted Lewandowski last night. And when he came on for Pedri, he got the biggest cheer of the night. He is adored by the Barcelona fan. What, did you watch the whole game? Or did you just read that someone said he had the biggest cheer? I watched the highlights. I heard it. It was in peace mode. But he's like a Busquets regen. He can get forward as well. He's not afraid to move.
40:08And he just runs. He's fantastic. Is he tall? he's tall and left footed quite literally he is he's got the same stature but to have a year out that young with an ACL injury is still a bit it is a bit scary but I think he looks like a put it out to the wall that's a good shout Bernal breakout star for Batalona he's very good he is very very good I've gone with I also reached out to a friend of mine who is an Atalanta fan oh yeah I know this friend and he has told me so this isn't I'm not going to claim I've watched this guy he's called Zalewski they're signing from Inter Milan he only played two games in the Champions League last season he's a right footed wing back he's been their best player this season and Atalanta usually have a good record in Europe they do quite well they're a tough team to play against good system good set up he's a Polish 23 years old I think he is young lad and apparently he's been really good this season and he expects him to have a really good season so that is my shout Zalewski I think Atalanta could be a bit of a surprise package this season Why are you talking like that?
41:11Have you heard I've never heard of this guy Have you heard of Rooney Borchke? And he's good looking Yes He's like a footy manager Fucking Yeah He's really good on footy managers He started for Barcelona last night He's only like 19 Yeah They signed him This winner didn't they? Yeah they did I signed him on the album Yeah mate He's a go to Yeah from Copenhagen But it's weird Because those players Either turn out To be unreal or shit Like we got one Can you remember Lazar From back I don't know if you played But we signed Lazar Bob Lazar He was a left back He was unreal From like Morocco And he was fucking shit Yeah 17 million That's ironing for But yeah he's He's very highly rated So let's hope he Hope he does it Hope he does it And proves me right There you go So I've got Bernal You've got What's my idea You've got Eze And you've got Zalevsky Zalevsky There you go I don't like Eze Because I think he's the character Who will rise to that Big stage He deserves that kind of platform Yeah I think he's And he's good enough to do it Yeah Let's hope so Biggest flop Shit who else yeah I mean I feel like I'm bullying now At this point because I don't want to keep doubling down, but obviously because of how much he's bought for, Florian Verts.
42:13Ooh. But I've said that already. He is close to getting 007. It is scary, man. He's getting close. I wonder who Lewis has gone for. I also didn't want to write that. You're a complete fraud if you actually say this guy's name. Alexander Uzak. Fucking going to flop. I thought you were going to say Jokeres. Why don't you just actually say a name you believe he's going to flop? He did well for Nucard. You've been arguing for two years. He's the best striker in the world. By the way, he's doubled down so hard that he's put Ekotike as his top scorer and Izaak as his biggest flop. He's so adamant on the agenda, mate.
42:48He used to be on my top five here and play Ekotike as well. So you think Liverpool are going to win the Champions League but their starting striker's going to flop? No, Ekotike's going to be the start striker. No, but he's not going to start. Your logic makes no sense. By the way, you need to stop talking like you decide they're starting. I'm telling you now, Izaak's going to stop most games. You're not managing Liverpool, so it's not up to you. His opinion is Isak's going to start My opinion is Eckertie will start And the lovely thing You're a really good friend But I wholeheartedly disagree The whole lovely thing about football Is we'll find out I don't think Salah's going to play Much this season It's just silly Isak's been signed For a massive amount of money So he's going to play Yes But he can also flop Tom He can also not perform The best striker in the world He's going to flop By the way By the way Bert has been signed For a hundred million No no no You've been arguing For two years Izak's the best striker in the world.
43:38And he's going to win a Ballon d 'Or for him. No, no, no. I said Kieran was ahead of him. Also, to balance back your argument, yeah. So, Virts has obviously started off really badly. Guess what keeps happening even though he's playing badly? What? Keeps starting. That's true. Because that's the... You pay that amount of money you start the player just in case it comes. Not if you've got an Ekotique here who's scoring goals and is already in the team before you. You don't pay 130 mil for a number nine and not playing. Anyway, it's... Izak, whatever. That's funny. you went first didn't you I've gone for Salah I think I know he's see it's not just me and hear me out why I think the luck and the last minute goals may start to run up and run out and dry up he's doing he's just typical Salah he's fucking dog shit and then gets a last minute penalty no but I think that's going to stop I just think I think they've got too much they've got too much too many good youthful players coming in their attack he has AFCON halfway through the season Yeah, and I just think maybe he had a fantastic season last year, but he didn't, even though he got the goals and assists, he didn't, you're right, he didn't look...
44:40He's shit, he's always been shit. But I think this season is going to be his, I think this season will be his last for Liverpool. Also, father time catches up with everyone. I think it finally might have done. But is he not inevitable? Like, he does always just end up scoring. That's the thing he's never said about that. That's what I'm saying. I think maybe this... Did we not say last year, it was like maybe this year? No, I just think He looks different He's not going to do it Until he's 60, is he? A bench No, but you can imagine It is a fair argument Yeah, I know We're making the same argument And he still gets a 95th Minute penalty against You know what I mean?
45:11He's done it again It's the Messi-Ronaldo longevity Of course But this is the inevitable argument Messi-Ronaldo longevity But this is my whole point About the eye test Like, this is You can't How can you rate that? You can He was fucking dog shit Against Burnley You can not rate it And Lewis be right And him still be inevitable Yeah, it's true I know I'm not denying that but then would he in my opinion right if he does that every game week for Liverpool drops a 5 out of 10 then scores a penalty is that a flop or is it not no no it's gone penalty I don't know about that something it's a hard one to call isn't it yeah it's a hard one to call anyway my flop's Vinicius Junior because he's already I think he's going to get bombed out of the team and it'll be and then when he does Jesus what the fuck when he does I actually think that's not a sin is it yeah he bombed out the team I think when bummed out the team I think he'll be in and out the team and then when it gets to the big games for Madrid I think he'll play and I think he'll actually be a detriment and I think they'll lose you fucking love that he's not played 90 minutes all season he's been dragged yeah he's not having him at all Alonso but I think I don't know if Madrid are a weird club where I feel like there could be pressure from above to play him in the big games he's one of the biggest stars in the world but he's shit isn't he I reckon he starts against Marseille It'll be interesting to see what he does but yeah that's my flop Anyway my overachievers which is club and Newcastle I was going to say I could actually sense you were going to see us there I was already looking at them I knew he would I just think St James' Park people going to like the Burnabout and all this St James' Park is a fucking tough place to go with the crowd and they do when they're all fit this is when this is based on Newcastle not getting big injuries if Newcastle can keep their first 11 fit I think they can get to a semi-final yeah okay I was going to ask you how far do you think they're going to go I'd put Newcastle up against anyone in the world to beat them once yeah maybe not fair point I think a Barcelona or but if they could get to like the Bernabeu and get a draw I'd back Newcastle to beat them at St James's I was going to say the key thing there the key thing is I'd back us to beat anyone at home like I'd be the chances it's just different unless it's Bournemouth But you saw it with the League Cup, the run.
47:31Newcastle are a team, I think, when they get on a run and when the crowd are going and when there's excitement, I feel like they very much reflect off the pitch Newcastle. When it's good off the pitch, they're good on the pitch. Yeah, I agree. And I feel like they could definitely get a run together. I'll say mine then because mine is the same. I've got Newcastle. But I think an overachieving would be the quarterfinals. No. I think we've got a semi. I think quarterfinals, people wouldn't really expect Newcastle in the quarterfinals. I would say, I don't know. But they're not. Newcastle are as good as Chelsea, aren't they?
48:01Quarterfinals is what? Top eight teams. The best eight teams. You wouldn't put them in the best eight, would you? But that's why I think it would be an overachievement. And I think you're right with the St. James' Park thing. Especially if the crowd on Thursday night against Barca, it's going to be electric. It's going to be electric. That one's going to be... If you can get a point. Maybe we're going to beat them. Because the last time we played Barca at St. James' Park is when we won. there was the hat trick and like there's the ties with Sir Bobby Robson there's all sorts of history on that one so that one's going to be mental I think your crowd is what you'll get get you through it does well passion merchants like use Laugh when we get they're also very good team but you know what I mean like you're right the players respond really well to it but you can also go one of two ways like the Liverpool game yeah but I do think the new format and the new the way that you've been drawn actually has suited your run as well yeah the new format suits them because it's one game exactly the thing is as well it's like you used to laugh at like us celebrating the tackles and the corners but like that sort of stuff it all fucking by the way that's what footy's all about but that's it all feeds into it man mine's I'll may as well say mine mine's Newcastle because I think the key thing as well I think the key thing as well last time we were in we weren't we played well in the games but we didn't really have the depth we didn't have the depth it came a bit too early for us but now I think Newcastle are finishing the top right if you look off the pitch if you look off the pitch we have we have we have depth across the pitch that are good enough to play in the competition you've got Chow and Botman on the bench you've got Lewis Hall Liverpool can play at either side you've got Ramsey who's coming Whisser we've got Murphy Murphy, Yalanga Gordon and Barnes it's like even goalie depth I think Newcastle will have a good team and you have got probably out all the English teams the easiest sort of draw yeah I mean you look at that there's probably you probably look at Barcelona, Lavergouche and PSG you'd go whatever we get from that's a bonus the rest they can win I love that PSG Marseille is a horrible place to go That PSG away game Is perfect as well Because like We fell hard done by Away last year In the fixture So it'll be A good little Passion merchant But that's a game You shouldn't expect to win I think we can steal Something from there We're good when there's Passion merchants A little bit When there's a little history To the tie If that's said at home Yeah but away there They're going to pass you Off the bar We were away We almost got a result In the before When we got robbed Yeah but that was That was a different PSG I understand We beat PSG 2-0 Last year in this format Lou, if you can get tickets to that Marseille game, go.
50:23I want to go to as many as possible. You might get killed. That would be good. It is a scary place to go. I went for Marseille-Nice. It was fucking terrifying. Benfica-Holmes class. That is actually like terrifying. Yeah, of course it is. PSG. Who's yours? By definition, Arsenal winning the competition. I think that's over the team. Yeah, fair enough. Is it though? Is that not an expectation? Kind of like the Arsenal mindset. I think it's expectation this season. Is it? Yeah. I think so, yeah. I think we'll have it on site. people generally expect Arsenal to win as a club yeah you should and they're one of the favourites as well no I feel like in general you don't expect one specific team to do it but you'll expect four teams to either like you know what I mean it's hard to say like four best teams and Arsenal are always going to be in that group at the moment favourite behind Liverpool, Barca and PC mate you're shorter than Real Madrid to win it that's massive yeah yeah again in my head I just don't think underachievers I've gone with two because I don't know if one you'll allow as underachievers I've gone with Either Bayern or Dortmund I think both I don't even think Dortmund's not bad I don't even think Dortmund will qualify But Bayern I'll go with Bayern I think Bayern will Be shit this season In my opinion I don't know about that Lewis has gotten You haven't watched them once You've seen them beat Fucking Union Whoever SG Lewis has gotten In the final Hey Tom You haven't seen them either What do you think They're going to Underdude for They've got no Moosey Arlen So my opinion's Just as valid as George Why are you getting So angry for them I don't think They're that good anyway Why are you shouting them Yeah why are you doing that Both our opinions are valid But you're getting very angry At my opinion Why are you being nasty I hate when you do that Oh you know You're looking free That's true though isn't it It's on me man My opinion's invalid I'm not saying I haven't said they look bad Stop shouting at them I haven't watched them Neither have you Stop shouting at them So why is my opinion invalid Because you haven't watched them You've gone Oh but yours is valid I haven't said Again you're not listening Again you're not listening I'm not allowed to think anymore No we don't No you said I think they've looked good this season You haven't watched them once I haven't said they've looked bad Don't tell them what you said At least I knew they were undefeated this season.
52:16Four out of four wins. You didn't know that. So what? So I know more about Vine than you do. They've also played three games. Yeah, I haven't played four, mate. They've played three. Let's find out. They've run nine points, so I think they've played four. Including friendlies. What? No, they scored 12. You're underachiever, Reeve. Look, points, nine goals. 12 goals. Yeah, but they're four out of four, aren't they? No. They're four out of four because you've been watching all the games. They will be off this week when this show goes out. Yeah. Which is tomorrow. When are they next playing? At least be tonight.
52:43They're playing Hoffenheim on Saturday Well there'll be a 4 out of 4 against Hoffenheim come on now Then there'll be 5 out of 5 against Werder Bremen Yeah big games then they've got the mighty Papos in the Champions League Have you done New England Dishiva? No I've gone with the El Clasico double because I think both of those expect to reach the final and I don't think they will according to my predictions Wow Where do you think they're going to go? Real Madrid in the quarters and then Barcelona maybe in the semi I can't see any other team winning it then Barca Really? I think they'll win it Quite comfortably Interesting Well A year on after last year I think they've learnt They should have really Won it last year But I think That young team Are a year older Mate That actually helps my audience Oh yeah That is a definite Underachievers If they don't win it That's a underachieving Have you looked at the age Of all their players It's actually ridiculous Also Lewandowski Really increases the age But he looks sharp as well So fucking Be smart over there Let's be smart My underachievers you're probably not surprised to hear is Arsenal I just think it's a quarterfinal exit do you ever like base your opinion on like looking at football it's fair Tom you know he's only doing that because I don't think he believes that one the exact one he's pure agenda this one he believes do you know what really stresses me out whenever I say Arsenal's going to do bad I think he's like you don't believe no and also it always it's always right as well but he always thinks there we go so that would make us winning it overachieving we got to a 75 though Were you disagreed with me saying that?
54:13Yeah, I forgot. Wait, what did you say? I said, so by that logic, Arsenal winning it is overachieving. He went, yeah. Were you disagreed with that? Wait, they don't win it, it's overachieving. No, Arsenal should be like, no. Because Arsenal, the general conception is Arsenal are like one of those four teams that should be winning. Like, this is just my opinion. I don't put you in that conception. It sounds like you're like, can't handle the truth right now. The truth of what? Like, you always lose. No, what Reeve just said. I'm saying, my opinion isn't the general consensus of everyone, though.
54:41So you don't weigh up that Arsenal overachieving or underachieving against Lewis Borden's opinion. It's like the general opinion. But like, again, I just don't, I'm not convinced by this. In a big game, in the quarterfinal, you could easily just exit and then that's used massively underachieving, really. Yeah, hopefully it's against Newcastle. Sound logic? I've got Inter Milan. Yeah. So where would they have to exit for that? I don't think they'll make it past the round of 16. Really? Mm-hmm. They've had a shaky start to Serie A. They're also rubbish in the club. And they've also got a very aging squad.
55:19If you look at their players, they've got multiple 36-plus-year-olds starting every game. I think it's going to catch up on them this season. I think they reached their peak last season, getting to the final, and this season is like a start of a regeneration, I guess. Regeneration? They're going to have to buy and sell the players. Fine call that, mate. Yep. Not bad at all. So there's our predictions, guys. Let us know if they're right in your eyes or if you'd change them in the comments. Now, last week, boys, we did our most underrated player at every club in the Premier League. Hell yeah. This week, well...
55:50It's a bit mean, isn't it? I don't like this one. Yeah, this is a really bad one. Guys, we're getting four. I don't give a fuck. Yeah, we know that, but... We are doing the most overrated player at every club in the Premier League. And run two right. A lot of you are overrated, overpaid and overrated. The problem is, like, I don't mind doing the overrated, but, like, some teams just don't really have an overrated team because they're pretty shit in general. Some of this stuff feels like friendly fire. Yeah. There's friends of the show in there. Oh, yeah, friends of the show. Friend of the show.
56:13You're still friends of the show, hopefully. I wouldn't go after anyone that's friend of the show, personally. I'll try not to. I don't know if Harvey Elliott liked it when we went on about his bellend, but... Oh, no, that's a prediction show. What? That was the prediction show. He started talking about his cock. He's a weirdo. Why are you talking about Harvey Elliott's cock? Friend of the show. He is friend of the show. He is friend of the show. Yeah, yeah. Anyways, guys, let's start bottom up, shall we? With Wolverhampton Wanderers. Hey! Whackers! Whackers! Spikers!
57:08Oh, this one. good he is he's fucking class i do i do i do admit his agenda the only reason no no what's wrong with you i maintain everything i said but i looked through the team i was like i can't really find anyone i think is that really overrated and the only logic i have is the amount of money we were going to pay for him but you didn't for that but you didn't that's what he was being valued at i'm like he's not that good the valuation is my only logic that that is my only i still maintain he's a great player i still i don't think he's overrated no i agree my valuation three months ago you were saying how fucking much you love it I do I still do So you overrated him No As a player He is that good But the price tag was overrated But we shouldn't be worried About what potential price tag Was going to be We're overrating the players This team is shit It's so hard to look at a player And think he's overrated Because they're all shit Well actually I've got a great player You could go for Andres Jargomas They're rated in midfield Well I actually went for Agbadoo Because of how much You rate him And a lot of Wolves players Rate him up He's been rubbish this season I just don't Well you're a big fan He's rubbish this season He's been rubbish this season But everyone All I hear from Wolves fans and people in the Midlands is like, oh my God, Agbidou, he's amazing.
58:13People in the Midlands. Me, you, yeah. He was really good last season. But this season, not so much. It's slim pickings, I get your logic, but it's like only a few games. When we've done our four, can we ask you who you think? Yeah. I struggle with Wolves as well, but I've put Jose Sarr. I've put Sarr as well. I think it's just too much of a... Producer Will? That's all I had to go on Sarr. Yeah. He's a Wolves fan, by the way. What about Agbidou? Who? Who's sorry? Who's that sorry? Agbidou That is not what you just said You went Ambergdou? No I didn't Yeah you fucking did By the way he definitely didn't I think he's got hearing He can't speak recently You know he can't hear He's fallen apart Jose Sar I think yeah he was really good For that one season Like four years ago And then He's living off the ref a little bit He throws a few in doesn't he?
59:02Will Producer Will the Wolves fan Also said Jose Sar But yeah Yeah, like you said, that's why John... The Oracle said it, that's why. He's just wanted to submit that he was right. He's scared of you. Who? He said it first. Why are you angry? Yeah, I said it before Tom. Why are you so angry? Why are you frowning? Why are you frowning? Are you so angry? Hey, turn that frown up. Why are you crazy? Guys, come on. It's going to be... A long day. Let's not turn it on ourselves, man. West Ham. I've got full crook. I can't be arsed. I've got full crook as well. Have you got full crook? Oh, this is the thing.
59:31I think I took full crook. He's the saviour of West Ham, mate. They fucking got horses, mate. Oh, it was last season. He's the saviour of West Ham. Callum Wilson is better than him. Nobody rates him, though, do they? That was my problem. But he is so even more shit than what you think. If you go back through his career, he's never really scored ever. Oh, no, that was... I've gone Kilman. Oh, that's such a terrible thing. He's been rubbish for West Ham for ages. Four games. No, and last season, he was rubbish. And they spent 50 million on him. Was it 50 million? Was it? Yeah. Oh, so he's not a rubbish tag anymore 50 million's mental life He's been shocking for months Yeah, from walls 45, 50 million, it was about that How much was it, Will?
1:00:14Well, is that true? 100 % it was 45 million, something like that It was a lot of money That's crazy money Fucking hell, he's shouting it Pretty sure I put him in my mouth Kill Manfee! 40 million 100 % it was 45 Alright, well I said it was at least In addition He's underrated. He's underrated. He's underrated. There you go, overrated. Spurs. I said Volkrog. Oh, you joined in? He's fucking shit. Spurs, I think we all can unanimously say 3-2-1, Vicario. What? I've gone to Lanky. That's a great show. Nothing. He's overrated. That's better than mine. He was up there with fucking Raya last year. He was my underrated.
1:01:02I completely disagree. I think he's still a very good keeper. Vicario, I don't think he's overrated. People don't appreciate him enough. Oh, I don't really rate him. He's my underrated. I don't rate him at all. I don't think he's... Everyone was saying he's as good as Alton and Raya a few years ago. No, no, his first season at... How far back are you going, by the way? Last season. No one was saying that last season. This is the Europa League winning goalkeeper here. I think the fact they brought Kolo Mawani in the case... Solanke's a little bit. Yeah, I think Solanke... They had to literally sign...
1:01:28Well, fucking well done, mate. Also, Vicario barely played last year. He was injured. No, he didn't, actually, yeah. They had to sign that guy from Sparta Prague. How many games did he play last year? He's not very good. That's why I think it's overrated. But yeah, Solanke came in for likes... I think a lot of people don't rate him, Theo. That's the point. I think that's harsh. I think he's underrated. I think he's underrated. Yeah, because people don't rate him. Yeah. I don't really rate Vicario. That's how underrated works, isn't it? He was brilliant when he first came in. He played 34 times last season.
1:01:54Right, and how many games did he play? What? No, 40 the year before. So he played a fair amount, Phil. He missed a lot of games last season. They played about 60 games. But if we touch on Solanke, do you ever back him to touch 20 goals a season? I'm glad you finished that very differently. Wait, you almost got it. I think Solanke's a great shout. I went with the doggy. It's a long time ago, though, isn't it? I went with the doggy, but I think Solanke's a better shout. I know a shout-out for him being the best left back in the world. This is the thing. There's a lot of players. There's a lot of players Do you just make things up?
1:02:23We've actually mentioned that in the show before No we have He was very But they came in the other first season and everyone was bigger than one No Doggy Of him being that good Oh sorry I thought you mentioned I don't know what I'm on He has got a hearing issue No I think he's just pretended that I've said something else to change his whole argument No he said Jed Spence Yeah I said DJ Ed's keeping him out Sorry I misheard Sorry But Doggy's never been the best left back in the world that's also crazy We talked about it before on the show actually We did Do you remember that as well? I remember I thought he was good I don't know if he said he was the best left.
1:02:50Well then he's definitely overrated then. Luke Sunderland. I've actually got no one. Simon Miller. Terrible. He's the third, fourth choice goalkeeper. Simon Miller. That's the same as you're underrated as well. Yeah, I've seen some dickheads on TikTok saying he was underrated the other week. And now he's overrated as well. Should you put him underrated and overrated? Yeah. How can you say anyone's overrated in that Sunday? I've got Enzo Lefeuille as overrated. It's impossible. I know how this works because there's now graphics underneath it so we have to say a name and only on the basis that people have probably expected more from him so far is Simon Odinger.
1:03:18I've got Odinger as well. Yeah, same. Oh, I should have said Odinger. I don't like him. You actually think he's horrendously overrated now he's at a club that you can't say it for. But I've got fucking Simon Mouin now. That was actually the worst thing you could have possibly said. Fuck's it, yeah. When we've done this segment before with Brighton, you say Odinger. I was saying he was a bad... Simon Moore's just not even... Oh, for fuck's sake. He's not even in the school. Yeah. I would have said Odinger. He doesn't even play for Sunderland. Doesn't be in the school. Oh, fuck it. I would have said a Dengra.
1:03:46That's a classroom unit. I've gone to Dengra as well. What happens when you prep? I did prep. We waited for you to prep this. No, I was missing three teams, wasn't I? So I didn't prep. Not in the Forest. It's so easy. I've gone Matt Sells. It's Milenkovic. I was going to say Sells. That's actually very good because I've seen him on Newcastle. The year's actually shit, I promise you. Milenkovic is actually a good dude. Milenkovic is shocking. He's not though, is he? Did you watch him for Serbia in the week? He's a fucking donkey. He watched Serbia in general. yeah he was their worst player he's been rubbish this season as well he's rubbish as you said it's been four games yeah I think this one is actually quite an easy one Sells is basically running off a really good season's reputation and he's not actually that good I went with Amari Hutchinson oh good shout I mean the fee alone is ridiculous like that it's over heard oh my god that's genuinely a class I like that I've also gone Amari Hutchinson as well No you fucking Who did you say Who did you say Who's the only I can't see the one No it's not Who've you put I can't see the name Just say the name I've got Douglas Luiz He is a little bit over it He's got what You've got two Yeah it's under it Douglas Luiz Oh okay Why they sign him Because he's good He's not that good He hasn't had a good season He can barely play Yeah that's Juventus isn't he He was Better than Voris Exactly So he dropped down To his level When Douglas Luiz Left Aston Villa He was unreal at Villa though Yeah but maybe You didn't watch him once For Juventus last season I did Oh you He's friend of the show He's friend of the show Is he?
1:05:21Friend of the show He's not friend of the show He's friend friend of the show He's friend friend of the show X We can't stop friend of the show X He's friend friend of the show X Because they're not someone in football Friend friend of the show X Yeah Soon we'll be saying Fred West Is a friend of the show Which he is Always Fred West Which he is Okay well Douglas Lewis for me guys Yeah Under Overhead Yours was good then mate Newcastle What the fuck? I struggled with this. Oh, shock. I have one. I've got one. Oh, my God. I've got one. I've got Botman. I've got Botman as well. I've got Botman. I've got Botman, mate.
1:05:51Can't even get in the team. Can't even play. Everyone's saying he's the fucking best centre-half since Slash Bread. Because you're now... He gets injured and when he plays, he makes mistakes. What he's now about to say is, no, Botman's really good and that's exactly why. No, I think it's... I see your logic. I think it's unfair because he's not getting in because of injury and the current centre-backs playing so well. like they're not playing let's not act like they're fucking amazing we've kept three clean sheets this season Dan Burns shouldn't be keeping out Botman yeah but but that's but that's ridiculous because we've kept three clean sheets this season no no that's what I'm saying you better without him your team is better and he doesn't even need it it's fine I went with I was gonna go Harvey Barnes but I didn't because I think he is actually quite he's underrated if anything I think Harvey Barnes he's not a bad show what he's friend of the show number one but I feel like overrated's harsh I feel like overrated's harsh but I actually went with Alanga at the moment because he's not really he's not doing it for us he's like Jacob Murphy should be starting Alanga's not brought the foot and he's adapted though so it's a bit harsh did Murphy not start against Wolves though?
1:06:54yeah and he's got a goal and he's Murphy's Murphy needs to be starting every game he's our best winger honestly putting Gordon even Gordon in the mix you get more return from Murphy in the last season like he's our best winger yeah I was kind of tempted To say Gordon But I think his work Off the ball Makes up for his Yeah I don't think Gordon Well originally I had Isaac down That must Although Sorry to put in Although Gordon Wouldn't be a crazy shot Because I hear people say He definitely has to Start for England No he doesn't There's definitely Options He's starting at Serbia No I don't know The thing is He does a lot But I mean Gordon I think he did Yeah I'm pretty sure he did I can't remember I know Matt Wreck He was off the right but we got like Ezei Green so there's a lot of options on that Rashford Rashford's doing well at Boston you could argue his lack of output and lack of goals but he's really good off the ball he does a lot more than just that on the face so I didn't do it for that reason so I had Iza obviously then transferred to Liverpool so I'm actually going to go to Nick Pope you call him the best shot stopper in the league I didn't say he was the best shot stopper in the league I said he was a better shot stopper than Pickford and he's right up there with the best he's not better than Pickford I think Ramsdale will become number one this season.
1:08:07I don't see it happening but I can I understand I think Ramsdale should be I'm sorry I'm actually baffled by that take because Nick Pope's had a fantastic start of the season which is why I don't think he'll be replaced he made like three key saves in two minutes against Wolves to keep us that first one is a crazy we've kept three clean sheets he's actually been phenomenal this season I think he's just because they have a good game he's had three clean sheets just because he's had a few good games this season doesn't mean he's not overrated it's like Agbadoo Agbedou's had fucking four shocker games but he can still be right.
1:08:39But what's the general consensus of the level of Nick Pop? I think he's prone to a mistake quite often in key moments for you. Can't play out with his feet. He's not as good of a shot stopper as you make out to be. And I think Ramsdale's a better goalie and should be playing over him. I feel like you're based on my opinion. I feel like the general consensus is Nick Pop is a great shot stopper and not good at his feet. No, but that's a fair argument of consensus. He thinks Ramsdale should be starting for Newcastle so therefore he's overrated. I think it's a bit harsh. I think Nick Pop's had a great season.
1:09:05You would say any player we said was off. But it's like he's... Because you think they're all the best players in the world. And now it's how he's picked a new transfer, so it's not shitting on him for the bit that longer. I've listed the players who I was going to say who've been there for... I feel like there's other options who are... The fact you've just slagged off Anthony Gordon after he spent time with you. He spent time with you. Did you really say that? I don't know. That's a friend of you. I don't know. That's a friend of you. Not anymore. I've named reasons why he still... He didn't get picked for that.
1:09:30But no, I feel like there's other options you could say in Newcastle. I feel like you could argue Dan Byrne off Like The Newcastle conception of him But Stop saying conception Yeah It's consensus Conception is like It's in its sex Pregnancy Pregnancy in that Making love Anyway next Manchester United The entire team No I'll put Sesco I'll put Sesco as well That's an easy one Yeah I've got De Litt I've got Lissandro Martinez All I'm hearing is like De Litt's the best centre back Man United's the best One of the best centre backs In the league It probably is actually He probably is the best centre-back at Man United but that's a very low bar.
1:10:04To Maguire? I think I think Maguire is. He is shit. He is. Dillick's been alright this year. Oh, come on now. He has been. He has been alright. You know when he signed him? Yeah. Everyone's like, this guy's been one of the best centre-backs in the world. I don't think that's fair. No, because a lot of the discourse around him signing was, but Bayern don't want him. Why are you signing him? I don't think that's fair. No, but he wanted... The general consensus... But Dillick is the... Conception. ...is the classic... He's really well rated. is he good but is he that good I think De Ligt's one of them prime example of overrated every time I watch him to be fair this year he has been alright but before he signed for United I was told how good he was but every time I watched him he was shit I was like there you go no I don't think De Ligt I don't think Martinez is a bad shout I don't think anyone's a bad shout for Man United I think Martinez you actually cannot go wrong with any player unless you say Bruno Fernandes Martinez gets so much extra praise because they give him a cute little nickname and like how he just hacks everyone down but in reality He's a 5 '5 little weakling who's shit.
1:11:02I mean, fucking hot calling him a kettle black. Well, I'm not a Manchester United centre-back. He's fucking shit. Of course you call him the butcher. Because he's shit at football. He's the butcher because he can't make a proper tackle. He's always fouling. Wow. I actually think a good shout would also be Luke Shaw. He had a bad game. I think he's been rubbish for a while. And he can't stay fit. But I think, is that not just him coming towards the end of his tenure? He's not that old, mate. But is Luke Shaw? Yeah, but he might have peaked early. I do think it's hard to look at Luke Shaw. I think Luke Shaw's had a fantastic career.
1:11:31I think he's a good left back. But remember, he's also been played out of position. I think that's harsh. He's been played at centre back. Yeah, he's had a great career. But right now, I don't think he should be starting for Man United. I think he's a bit overrated. Is that because he's playing out of position, though, Tom? He's playing at centre back. He shouldn't be playing. I don't have a left back. It's a wing back, though, isn't it? Shaw can do that. Have you seen him? But it's not like Shaw. You think he can get up and down a pitch for 90 minutes? How old is Shaw now? How old is Shaw? Will, can you see how old...
1:11:55I think it's harsh when you pick someone who's like... When someone's a bit older and you're calling them over here, it's like, no, because they're not at the peak anymore. They're falling off. So it's like... How old is he? 30. He's 30 for a fullback. In a very bad Man United team. I think that's harsh. I think you're being really rude. I think that's brutal, actually. Yeah, I think that's horrible. I think you should take that back. What? He's 30. So? He's 30 in a very poor team. 30? Why are we acting like that's 45? For a fullback. Is he not the peak of his career? Thanks, mate. That's really old.
1:12:23How old is Salah? No, no, but his Even older than granddad He's never going to be As good in his old age Sure, because of the amount Old age? No, he's fucking I'm some respect now I'm holding in No, the amount of like The amount of serious If I'm honest The amount of serious injuries He's had When he gets into his They're not serious injuries He doesn't have serious injuries He has niggles constantly Yeah, and that's why When he gets into his Older age And gets to his And then when he plays When he plays He's poor Tom, come on When you've had lots of injuries It hits you harder when he reached the 30s.
1:12:55I don't care. So then he shouldn't be playing it. So then he shouldn't be playing it. That's not his fault he's getting started. He was out for 123 days with a muscle injury. That's a serious injury. Of course he's had a muscle injury. Fuck off, mate. Keep staying fit. A torn muscle is a serious injury at 114 days injury. Stay fit, man. He's talking out his ass, Tom. There's no broken legs. There's no ACLs. You are talking out your ass. He's unfit, mate. He's unfit. Nah, you're actually talking out your ass. The amount of injuries that he's had is insane. Yeah, it's embarrassing. How much money is he on?
1:13:22about 250 grand a week and he can't stay fit and when he does play he's rubbish he needs to get a robotic body he needs to use that money and you can buy a robotic body what's to stop the human body doesn't change if you have more money when he plays he's rubbish just a little bit you get better PT in that this is the money's a ridiculous you've just said he's had little niggles there's literally injuries like countless injuries in there and that will hit it if you have over 100 days that's a serious injury so then you shouldn't but my point is you shouldn't be starting for Man United on the money he's on with the rate he has.
1:13:53Some people say he should be starting for England. He shouldn't even be in the England squad. No, he shouldn't, Theo. We've got so many better players than Luke Shaw. I feel like the general conception is that he should start for England. Fuck me, man. I feel like the general conception is that he shouldn't start for England. There's way better left-back choices. I just personally think it's a bit harsh when you're playing him out of position. By the way, no one's saying he should start for England. I've seen a lot of people. You have three better options. There are a lot of personnel that are more overrated than Luke Shaw.
1:14:19Yeah, I agree. Who even said Luke Shaw? That's a stinker for you. I haven't said him. He said he could have been. I didn't even choose him. I do think he's now overrated. You didn't choose Luke Shaw? No, he said Cesc, like I did. Oh, what were you doing then? Right, Manchester City, I've gone Ruben Dias. Yes, I am. Ruben the ass. I just don't think he's like... I've never really read him. He's meant to be the man. He's still young. He's not old. I mean, he did captain him to a... Well, you're talking about now, though, yeah. I've gone Rico Lewis. I went Mateus Nunes. Picking on the kids. No. He's not a lot of a kid, is he?
1:14:53Yes, he is. How old is he? Like 20? That's not a kid, Theo. How old is he? How old are you? He's got to be older than... So when you say you've been touching kids, you mean 21-year-olds? Weird guy. 20, yeah. 20, yeah. Still, he could qualify for the 121s. He's not a child, though. They wouldn't want them to... It doesn't matter how old they are. They could still be overrated. Yeah. Yeah, he's supposed to be the new big thing. Often, younger players... Why are you cheering? Go on, we're doing a podcast. That's the stupidest... You were ordering a fucking breakfast? You're doing like half the fucking...
1:15:22I'm sorry, you were talking different. You took a phone call mid-conversation. It has a point in them. It is an audio recorded pause. How can you tell me you're sat there betting on horses? Yeah, but they can't hear that. They can't hear the people that listen to that. At least I'm zoned in. I'm like Fergie, I'm like. Who's your player? Nunes. I think that's fair. And Matheus Nunes? Yeah, Matheus Nunes. He hasn't really... I think he's been alright right now. I'd argue that Matheus Nunes is actually almost underrated with how versatile he's been. He's doing well at the right back. Because he doesn't He doesn't get game time In his position Yeah When he's been playing He's out of position And done alright Well then He's not overrated Is it if he's shit If anything You're saying he's good Because of that I'm saying he's shit Because of that So he's overrated That doesn't make any sense Whatsoever If anything He should leave Manchester City And play first in football But also this is Completely contradictory To your argument With Sabres Yeah I realised that As I was saying About home That you wouldn't Pick up on it Right well It's good you've I'm paying attention then You're an idiot Everything you said about De Mousla should apply to Nunes.
1:16:20I feel like he's one of the more overrated ones if you're going to pick anyone. Who would you just pick? Rico Lewis. The guy that's kept out by Nunes in his position. Yeah. Who do you go for? Diaz. Rubbing the ass. Liverpool, I think that's easy. Is it? Canate. Oh yeah, I've got Canate. Yeah, I didn't want to keep bullying him so I also went Canate. You've got a favourite player as well. Admit it, Tom. I think he's had a bad start to the season. I don't think four games means someone's suddenly rubbish at football. You were making out as if he's like the greatest centre-back on earth. You were.
1:16:49He put him top three. In the world. Yeah. I still think he's one of the best centre-halves in the world. No, no, no. Oh, come off it. Top three in the world? Well, because he's had four bad games means you're suddenly not any good. Is that what we're saying? He wasn't any good for a while, mate. He was brilliant last season. I don't know what you've been watching because it's clearly not Liverpool. What have you been watching? He was brilliant last season? What are you on about? Why are you shouting at him? We're just having two different points of view. Yeah. No, but what are you on about?
1:17:16Yeah, because he's next to Van Dugge. You can't just go, oh, not actually bring an argument to the case. Here's what's happened this time. Was he not good last season? You've had an opinion on Canarten. Was he not good last season? Not as good as you think. No way. And I think you have an opinion on Canarten. You're not dying on that hill. I'm not dying on the hill. You are. He's been poor this season. He's been poor. You've been made to look like a fool. So is Agbadoo for Wolves. I still think he's a good set of hours. You've been made to look like a fool on numerous occasions on this show. You're the jester of the show, man.
1:17:38And unfortunately, when you're wrong, you just can't handle it. You really can't. You need to address it. He gets angry when he's wrong, doesn't he? I often admit when I'm wrong. I was wrong about Man United. I was wrong about Amarillo. I'm wrong about a lot of things. I don't think I'm wrong about Canati. That's why Real Madrid are going to sign him next season. I'll take that bet. He's on the meetings. What? I'll take that bet. Okay. I think they might actually because Gahy's going Liverpool. They're going to sign him on a free next season. Gahy's going to Real Madrid. I've gone Salah. That's worse than Canadi Surely Salah's overrated He's not overrated I will always pick Salah As the most overrated player He's absolute Pain on the eyes Every time I watch him Play football And yet he's on the Score sheet every time A brilliant great He knocked in a penalty He's fucking great What a player Hands up if you disagree That Salah's overrated Wolves put his hand up The producer as well Oh no Fucking hell When the producer Goes against the oracle you know the oracle you loved it when he was on your side with sar but now he's against you i think no i don't care either why are you shouting at me wait uh viewers viewers hands up if you think um salah's overrated fucking hell all they're on oh no no none of them are oh shit oh shit no they will be all because it's a discord in here oh yeah all right discord if you're watching hands oh there you go yeah they're already up from there um anyone with a brain cell if you think Salah's overrated put your hands up oh you didn't put your hand up not putting it on that's just well I've already said it haven't I so I don't need to go over it do I you do Revo I already said Canata didn't I oh yeah I'm not going to do bullying Burns that's just not fair are you scared of him because he might be sitting in front of the show now Tom using that very intelligent brain of yours why do you think Salah is overrated the same reason he has been since I've said this for the last four years he's absolute pain on the eyes I think he's a stat merchant Salah is still one of the best right wingers in the world For sure But he can still be overrated I think people still rate him as the best And I think he's nowhere near that Didn't we have this whole argument When Lewis made that point about a certain point About Yamal And you were saying he's not the best player in the world But he may be second No he didn't say that He said he's the best player in the world
1:19:58We can't have a discussion or are you just going to go stop shouting no we're having a discussion you're having a shouting you're having an argument but I haven't shouted once I think it's very similar to you yeah it is very similar actually just to interject should I join you guys no you said he was number one and still overrated which doesn't make any sense by the way I actually got backing on that because you can't be the best in the world no you can't by definition if you're the best in the world you can't be overrated by definition if you said I think he's the second best player in the world but others think he's the best so I think he's overrated when you're the best in the world that's not then a ceiling you can't get any better you can get even better than that Best in the universe Jamal No because Jamal The intergalactic Real Madrid Cop match that they Play against the Aliens Jamal Is best in the world Is he as good as Messi was In his prime No because Messi Was best in the world But he was up there But no one's saying that Jamal's level goes up He goes up And he clears the rest We're not even talking About Jamal anyway That's just That's irrelevant Somehow Somehow He was on a stinker And it's ended up You being wrong again I was right on that The crowd at home Backed me on that as well No anyway I think he's I just think he's overrated In the sense that he relies on stats When actually as a footballer I think he's not One of the best in the world to watch Which he just isn't He won the Pushkas awards Does that make sense?
1:21:10That is the biggest robbery That in itself Summed Salah up Overrated goal Winning that Pushkas award for that goal That's Salah Just winning the awards you know He's just too successful He's actually too good That's Salah in a nutshell Too successful He's pain on the eyes Too many trophies Is he peeing on the ice? Too many goals I can think of a lot worse players to watch than him But I'm not comparing him to Jacob Murphy am I? We're talking about the best player No one brought up Jacob Murphy Excuse me Jacob Murphy is beautiful to watch Salah's putting Salah's putting conversations as one of the best in the world I don't think he's the best in the world I don't think he's near that I think there was a conversation He was one of the best Yeah exactly That's why I think he's overrated You just said he was one of the best in the world There have been many times on this show that you've put him the best player in the Premier League, best ring in the world.
1:22:02Yeah, he is. Okay, if you're doing that, then there's conversation. But people say he's the best. The best. They don't. They don't. People do. People have him as the best right winger in the world. He's nowhere near that, in my opinion. Yeah, at one point he was. Of course he was. Well, I think he's overrated. I think people rate him too highly. I think if we go back three years ago to when we did the best right wingers in the league. Best wingers in the league. Yamal is now, isn't he? Yeah, but this is three years ago. And Yamal was 40. you know what we're on about no one's been saying Salah's better than Jamal yeah exactly also I'm not we're not arguing we're not arguing from three years ago we're arguing now yeah that's why Ruben Dias' argument kind of makes sense now I don't think anyone putting Salah is better than Jamal I think it might be the worst things that's ever been done yeah but we've been over this multiple times when I've always said he's overrated and we say we have the same conversation every time you guys think he's one of the best I don't you contradicted yourself like five times in that last conversation.
1:22:55You were saying he isn't one of the best in the world, but then you were saying he is one of the best and he literally changed three times. No, I said he's one of the best right wingers, but not one of the best players. That's getting very niche now. Yeah, it's not. He's very niche now. He's got a bit of gymnastics now, guys. A lot of people have him as the best right winger in Premier Street. I think it's embarrassing. It's just an embarrassing argument. Well, he's better at right wingers. There's loads of wingers. Like, Bale was better than him. Ronaldo was better than him. Hazard was better than him.
1:23:18There's been loads of wingers better than Salah, in my opinion. because of his stats people go he's the best winger in Premier Street he's not but ultimately it doesn't matter if Tom Garrett enjoys watching him if you score enough goals you are one of the best winners but when it's my opinion it does matter because I don't think it's all about goals that's my point football kind of is a little bit no it's not though in my opinion that's kind of my point I would say that's kind of my whole life I would argue that actually I would argue goals is probably the most important thing what the whole game is actually about is scoring goals not in my opinion I don't think it's just about goals I don't watch football just for goals Doesn't matter about I watched them be entertained By good footballers Just such a terrible Fucking tear If anyone else said that You'd be on their ass I'm going to talk about it Can I ask your question Can I ask your question You're saying football's Not about goals Yes it is No it's not Do you think You can affect games Without scoring or assisting Wait no you can't Yes you can You can't You won't win any games If you don't score So Tom if you You can't win a game If you don't score Players like Xavi Who dictate games And break lines What He can create goals No, no, no, no.
1:24:20He barely got any assists and any goals. No, no, no. This is irrelevant, Tom. No, he's not. May I talk? So Xavi's a useless player to have, then. No one said that. No one said that. It's Rose-specific. No one said that. When you've just said... You just said the only thing that matters is goals. So Van Dyke's useless. No, no, no. You're misinterpreting the words, Thomas. You're misinterpreting the words. We're saying the whole game of football is about scoring goals so you win the football game. And you are disagreeing with that. Is that what you're saying? Oh, I said... No, that's not what...
1:24:47What he said, that's what he disagreed with. Me personally, for footballers, when I watch a footballer and enjoy a footballer, they don't have to score. It's not all about goals. What about if you're a striker? I'm much rather a player like Hazard than Salah. Salah's going to get you more output. But Hazard can dictate a game, win a game, beat players without having to score or assist. So I think Hazard's a better player than Salah. Yeah, we're not disagreeing with whatever you're saying. That's my only argument. What we're arguing is that you have just said that football's not about scoring goals.
1:25:14No, I didn't. I said it's not all about goals. What else is it about? The enjoyment of watching football. It's not all about goals. On black and white, to win a football game, to win a football game and win trophies and win the accolades, which football is about, you must score goals. And when you're an entire player, that's how you're judged again. And that's my point. And that's why Salah's overrated. Because he does that better than most winners. To add to the point, he scores too many goals. Too many goals. It's too selfish. He wins too many trophies. To add to the point, calling someone in that role a stat merchant is actually very complimentary.
1:25:44Yeah. He's underrated. He's great at that side. I wish you would stop scoring goals and do more step-overs. For God's sake, man. I'm sick of the win of the Champions League. It's like the Harland-Dees act a bit again, isn't it? It's like the Harland-Dees act a bit again, isn't it? Actually, that's a good point in the Champions League. Where was he in those finals? Dunno. On the winning side. No way to be seen. No, he wasn't. He got a Champions League final win. They've won one Champions League. Yeah, so he's on the winning side. He hasn't scored an open play goal in 15 finals. Salah. But, okay, he scores actually.
1:26:13He gets them to the final. He plays a big role in getting them to the final. The final That's a good one And was he in that final Against Newcastle last season Not very good That's Tino Liverman Of fire He'll shut down He'll shut down The best winger in the world Or one of the best Right wing What was he again I'm not sure The best right winger From Egypt In the world That might be my moose Is my moose better than him No How does I play more On the left on the right He played more He's on the left On the ten He's a left winger Probably why Salah Was the better right winger Then I never said he was a better right winger than him.
1:26:47Yeah, he did. You named right wingers. I said wingers. I said wingers. You said right wingers. I started with right wingers and then I named wingers. Oh, because your argument didn't do it. Yeah, yeah. You have to start filtering it down a little bit. Okay, now what are we on now? Lead? Oh, shit. Oh, yeah. What are we doing again? That's a very easy one. Yeah, Sean Longstaff. Sean Longstaff, yeah. What? That is so poo. It's Calvert-Lewin. It's so poo. It's Calvert-Lewin. Wait, nobody rates him. This is the argument for Fabio Silva. No, no, this is different At Dortmund rate Fabio Silva No, no, no My argument has finally come true I just can't claim a win on that I can Oh, I can You can't be on the side of Fabio Silva My logic is My logic is And then say a same situation Look at him, mate The side of a 20 million Kavaluin is poo, mate Everyone knows that No, I think Look, Kavaluin was expected to be a good, solid Premier League player Who said that?
1:27:33Everyone knows he is Everyone was laughing at the signing So they should have gone for someone better than him He said himself He was linked to Champions League teams He turned down Champions League teams He said What, pathos? What, Newcastle playing as a third draft? He was talked about, you know. Literally, he was talked about monsters. Who's Cavaloo? Oh. I think that's a really weird... Full hat. I think it's good. Full hat. Tom didn't say it. Joel Pirro. Oh. Right, Fuller. You don't even know who that is. Dama Traore, I've got. He is... I already rate him solo. I was going to put him, but I actually rate him solo.
1:28:04I can't see he's over here. I went Moonies. I went Moonies. I've gone Anderson. What? You don't... Oh. Oh, he gets FPL points. Oh, God. He gets FPL points. He's good at football. Oh, I think Bassey's the better centre-half. That's why I think Anderson's overrated. I think Anderson is often looked at as their best centre-half, but I think Bassey is. Actually, do you know what? You've taken a beat in this. Yeah, let's let him off. I don't think I've taken a beat in this. No, no. The reason why Anderson's overrated is because another player's better than him. I don't think you understand what overrated actually means.
1:28:34But you can't just... One player better than him, you think he's overrated. Who do you think is Fulham's best centre-half? Anderson. There you go. So I think he's overrated. than him. And I think he gets a lot of the applaud. I think he's quite overrated. Yeah, you said Basho was underrated. But by definition, anyone, unless you say he's the best player in the world, but he's still overrated, anyone can be overrated to your definition. Even Yamal. But your business... No, because he said that. Jesus. Even Yamal, anyone can be overrated in your opinion. Don't worry. He'll shout. When you prove him wrong, he shouts at you.
1:29:06Theo, Yamal, if he said, if he said, I think Yamal's overrated. He did say that. That would be fair. But he said, I think he's overrated and the best player in the world. That's when his argument fails. Tom, unfortunately for you, mate, an opinion can't be right or wrong. It's an opinion. And your opinion is valid. That's why we're getting shouted out, though, because we're doing it wrong. No, no, so precisely, so I'm right about Salah then, aren't I? I can't be right or wrong. Or Anderson? You can't be right or wrong. I lost track of what your argument was on Salah. I can't remember what it was.
1:29:32Because we've been over the Salah thing 20 times. I don't think he's as good as other people do. He still keeps doing it, though, His performance, he's backed that up. But he still does it. He still keeps doing it. But does he? Well, yeah, because he's not going back. He's got a conversation on the score sheet every week, isn't he? But anyone could have done that yesterday. No, but they didn't. They didn't. Because he doesn't let anyone else take the penalties, even though he misses half of them. Because he's the best penalty to it. No, he's not. Says who? Says me. Says Tom Garrett. He's got a terrible penalty record.
1:30:00Says Tom Garrett. Yeah, I've got a Dama Troy right here. Yeah, he's shit. Who's the next club? Everton. This one's... I felt really bad saying this name. There's only one player who's probably... I actually felt really bad. Because there were talks about him being like England's centre-half and England this, England that. But he makes a lot of mistakes. I've gone Tarkowski. I think he's a good centre-back. I think he's a good centre-back, but not England's level. I mean, if you base it off Lewis's... Tarkowski's definitely overrated by FPL merchants. I went Michelin. He is. He gets loads of DEFCON points.
1:30:40How do you know that? I don't know what. You're an FPL merchant. Yeah. He is now. I haven't put Tarkovsky. No, we've seen you. I put Beto. He's fucking shit. No one rates him. It's not really weird. He starts for Everton. And I got fucking... It's out of like Norse Strikers. I got dogs abuse when I said he's the worst striker in the league. Got dogs abuse from Everton fans. He's not the worst. Oh, he is. Calvert-Lewin's worse. Well, there you go. That's what he's over... I think he's overrated. He's better than Calvert-Lewin. Yeah, he is better. I think he's close.
1:31:09Nah, man. He's done it not. He's got it as close as Beto and Calvert-Lewin. Calvert-Lewin can hold the ball up better than Beto for sure. No way. He's not a better goal. Definitely can. Calvert-Lewin is the worst finishet I've ever seen. Beto's up there, mate. I've went with Ornana. I think he's a different player from the player they got from... Pardon? Man United's goalie. Who do you mean the centre-mitted? The one that's at Villa. The one that plays for Villa. That one. That overrated one. He's been there for like two years. How do you do this? When someone's pinned into a corner, You still just allow them To get out That is fucking crazy From you Oh yeah I'm pinned into a corner By you three Did that last week I put Pickford Sexually Very good I put Pickford No you didn't You put Onana No I put Onana For Aston Villa So why did you say For Everton Pickford And then Aston Villa Why did you say Onana If it's next to them Because I got mixed up Because my arguing For Onana For Villa is He's not the same player They got from Everton but the other way around yeah you got away with that one I'll put Pickford in I think he's really that's not true no again this is me saying I think he's a really good keeper but like I feel like I think he's underrated forever he's almost even for England he's almost been England's best player do you think he's England's best goalie I'd have him I would have him number one for England because I think he can handle he can handle the ball the logic is for I think he's a really good keeper but let's not remember this key boost England's number one he came to Everton quite young and he's never really progressed into and achieved what a player of that he got England to a final no I'm not about a club level I'm not about club level he's won us penalty shootouts in World Cup by the way a good player can be over it I'm talking about a club level again I'm talking about club level a club level you know you're bringing up England you brought up England you brought up England Theo no I didn't even to go to club level I don't think Jordan Pickford is appreciated as much he should be at Everton what more could he do I think he's underrated what I'm saying is if I put it England's the best keeper ever okay maybe he doesn't want to leave but I'm saying he could have went on and achieved things at big clubs why has no club really went after Pickford if he's at such a high level maybe he's a very good keeper but he's just not at this elite I feel like we hold him in this barrier where he hasn't really why has no one ever went for Pickford he's been there years Everton have been down at the bottom half do you think there's a reason why people haven't gone for him because they just assume he's at Everton He stays at Everton.
1:33:39Do you know what I mean? I think he's a very good keeper, but his level is there, and he's very good at international level. And when it's like, it's all on him. He's an exceptional international level, exceptional in the Premier League. No, because he'll rise to that occasion in that big game. Kept Everton up when they were going to get renegade. Why has a no club ever went for him if he's that good? All right, then I can say something about Salah. Was Ramadji, didn't that never go in for him? Was Barcelona? Is that Liverpool winning trophies? No, but you can say that. You can say that. You're so upset.
1:34:03You lost on the Salah takers. When he's been into the corner, A very good argument would be Semenya. Not a single team actually came in for Semenya. No, no. Different argument of Semenya. Semenya's been doing it recently. Pickford's been in a few years. They priced him out of a move for that one. Yeah, but Pickford might be priced out of it. Yeah, maybe he's too valuable to Everton. Maybe he's too valuable. He is too valuable to Everton. But that's the same argument. But I'm just saying, if he's this top quality keeper, you'd expect him to be in a top six team or something who's really pushing for trophies and doing different things at club level.
1:34:30He's sat at Everton his whole career, which is, like, if he's happy there and wants to do there, that's fair enough. wrong with that. I'm not saying there's anything wrong. Yeah. But I'm saying someone who's really good can be overrated. I know. Yeah. We know. That's the whole point. But we're asking if that's your reasoning for pick for we don't know the internet of why he hasn't left. Yeah. But from the old surely we can only base it on the way I can only base it at school there. I can only base it on if we's this such an keeper who's this good England's best keeper he should be performing at the top of England's Premier League but he is he's been one of the best players in the league so why has he never won on a G Arsenal don't need to replace Raya Liverpool don't need to replace Alex because there's only so much he can do at Everton to affect him winning things Arsenal's a great example Hughes wanted a keeper Pickford could have you've got Raya who's better yeah Raya's a better goal is he?
1:35:25at that time I'm arguing you're arguing about England's best ever keeper but then like yeah the bar's low by the way but Pickford's at such a great level. Raya's the best keeper in the league. Where do you pick for the mum's keepers in the Prem? I think Raya's the best keeper in the league. No, he's not. Ridiculously stupid. How is that ridiculously stupid? He's not better than Alisson, is he? He's not better than Alisson. He probably is right now. No, no, no. I think he is. I don't think that's crazy. I love both. Right now, I think he is. Okay. And I'll die on that hill. I'd put Pickford easily top five.
1:35:57Yeah, he's top five keepers in the Prem. So who's above Pickford? You probably look at Alisson, Raya, probably Donnarumma. Yeah, Donnarumma's better than Royer as well. What are we doing? Who else we got? Yeah, shit. Probably Pickford. Could be fourth. Yeah, could be fourth. Could be. See, that's the thing, and like, he's... But you agree with us? No. Well, but I'm just gauging the general conception there. Wait, hang on, hang on a second. Wait, do you agree? Stop saying conception! So you think he's overrated? I don't think he's there. But you think... I don't think he's the fourth best keeper.
1:36:28There you go. No, no, that's your argument then. Who's better? That's your argument. I feel like a follow-up argument. Can I ask who's better? I think Martinez is better. I'm sorry. You're on an international level. This guy's won a World Cup. We'll save a massive one-on-one through. Save penalties in the World Cup final. You're on a World Cup. Have you seen Pickford? Save penalties against Colombia. This guy's saved penalties in a World Cup final to win them it. Saved a one-on-one to prevent the win before penalties. But you've changed your argument. He's also done it in the World Cup. You've changed your argument.
1:36:58Yeah, but Pickford's also done all those things. and then the other players haven't got the job done. He's not deliberately. There's not much he can do about it. Martin has had Lionel Messi on his team. It'd be nice if England did have Messi. That's completely irrelevant when that one-on-one goes through and Martin sticks his leg out and saves it. Peekford did the same against Germany in the Euros. That's fine, but he's just... Miller one-on-one. I heard laughs at Martinez. Because Peekford's better than Martinez. Come on now. I disagree. I disagree. I feel like that's so harsh on Martinez. Name another one.
1:37:24Now, anyway. Let's move on. Let's move on. By the way, even by fifth, you sit over Aitlam I think he's worse than Martinez it doesn't matter how many it is by by the way I think Pickford's a great keeper I'm not doing this doesn't sound like it I've said many times I'm not in a joke I said he's a great you should have stuck to that argument I think it's him that he hasn't signed for like somebody not leaving is not an argument no it's just more like if you are at top level is Bowen overrated yeah great point see underrated if any so why is no big club coming for Bowen but sometimes it's situations isn't it It's true Do you not think it is interesting though How like Because he's been there a while He's a really young keeper English keeper And he's never really been linked With the move elsewhere From like You'd think a bigger team Would really sniff around it I think you give him credit for I'm not saying they're not And he's probably on a lot of money Pickford Like a lot of money I'm not saying they're not Probably He's probably near 150 odd grand a week But you would agree That Everton have been Underachieving for Quite a few years Yeah but they've also been Promised a lot and spent A lot of money To the point where I think Pickford might have thought They would be challenging Top six We're going to get his wage up Maybe so.
1:38:29If anything, compliment Pickford. I'm saying he should be amongst the top of the prem if he's at this level. Three million. I don't know, Matt. 225, yeah. Approximately. You never know. A lot for Goal. It could be less or more. Right, moving on to Palace. Susan Pickford's his parents. I think I struggled with Palace. I can't remember. I feel horrible saying it, but Dean Henderson. I've got Henderson as well, just because they shout for him to start for England. And it's always been in and around England, but I don't know. I do think he's living off this is harsh to say as well but obviously the moments they had last year and he was brilliant he's brilliant but he doesn't do that all the time though does he it's a bit like it's almost like goalies can live off moments of like penalties and like the odd save yeah Dean Enlisle is almost I feel like he's it just hasn't quite like he's but he is good he is a good goalie he is a good goalie and he's doing well at that club as well yeah but the starts for England and he should be overtaking Pickford and stuff I actually feel like Henderson, he's got a lot more to give in his career.
1:39:29I think he can go bigger and better. Really? I think he should. How old is he? He's at 28. He's still young. That's a tough one because a lot of the players should be underappreciated really, aren't they? It's harder with those teams. I put Ishmael Asar. I think there's a lot of... I think it's brilliant. There's a lot of hype and he can go missing in a lot of games. Yeah, that's not a bad show. I'll bet Neketia. No one rates him. Seriously. Seriously. Nobody writes him? Yeah, but like, it's like the full Krug sort of thing. Oh, you're being horrible now. No, it's not being horrible. Like, this is a horrible thing to do, but like, that's what I mean.
1:40:04We should sign him. Because even when, even when he went to Palace and you... That'd be a good sign in, yeah. 25 million. Fuck it. 30 million. How many has he scored at Palace? No, Beto's better. No, he's better than Beto. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Even when he went to Palace, he's a good signer. Yeah, he is, he is. For sure. Why is that his picture? Yeah, I don't, I'm not a fan of Guys come on Like fucking hell That goal record He's honking So bad isn't it He's a championship level striker Very good The fact that he's Championship level striker You used to Be a big fan He did well at Arsenal He scored 3-17 Especially that last season Where he filled in He had a good season Actually Is he a championship level striker He scored 3-17 for Leeds Fucking hell Yeah I thought he is So How old is he How old is he now I think that's a good demonstration So he was 21 I think that's a good demonstration Or feel that you can take You can take a championship striker and put them in a big team and they will get some goals.
1:40:57I feel like that's what... When it mattered, he didn't, did he? Yeah, it's saying, look how many scored for Arsenal. It's like... Just go on, condemn him. Say it. No, I like Nketiah. Eddie. Right, moving swiftly on. That's what they're seeing in the stands. Eddie. Eddie. Chelsea. I think it's a need. For Fana, for Fana. I've gone for Fana as well. I don't know. Similar reasons to Luke Shaw. Okay, no, I'm going to get shouted out for this one. Why do you always preface that? It's not though, because anyone in your opinion can be overrated. Rhys James. No, man. Because, no, this is the thing, right?
1:41:30I know this is the thing, right? Because when you ask people... He's been so good the last year though. I know, but like... He stayed fit as well. Yeah. And playing for England. I just feel like... I feel like his name sort of precedes him now, where it's like you hear Rhys James, you go, best right back in the world. Did he see him for England? You need to watch him then. Did he see him for England? I didn't actually see this in national break. I was out with Charlie but the whole break the whole entire no like he's obviously very good and it's injuries that have hampered him but it's like a situation where right can you reliably say he's the best right back in the world no Hakimi is any but James is second but again it's not really down to it but has he shown that that caveat has been kind of squashed because the last year or so he stayed fit he's been excellent him and Gusto are sharing minutes at the moment which I think is probably helping him James moves into midfield I don't know if that's what it is.
1:42:21But it helps them just knowing that they don't always have to rely on him at the moment. Again, I don't want to die on this hill. Chelsea was a hard one for me. No, die on the hill. But I do feel like he's the one where, yeah, see Rhys James' name and your brain goes back to all the pre-injury stuff. I do feel like it's a fair argument with the injuries, definitely. Because I do feel like, and a lot of the time when he's injured... Because you said about Rodri as well, in the same way it was like, you don't know which one you go back. Obviously, we've seen Rhys James since his injuries. I don't think Rodgers have seen Rodgers.
1:42:52As soon as I've seen his past where he knocked out a play, I'm like, shit, he's washed. Because I think a lot of the time when he was getting injured all the time, he'd play like three games, be good, and then be injured for fucking six weeks. So then people go, yeah, but when he's fit, he's amazing. That's what I mean. But now he is fit and he's amazing. Yeah, that's fair. And he is fit. Who did you say? I thought there was a pretty obvious one based on the fact that he still keeps starting and I actually cannot fathom Sanchez. in that they haven't really got an alternative everyone knows he's a bit lighter other than Enzo Mariska exactly what's their alternative the most important person that is exactly what I was about to say which keeper would he got left now I can't remember because he started selling they had seven at one point yeah they started selling them I feel like I think Jorgensen's still there so Burnley let's just do Burnley I've gone Walker I've gone Walker as well Brozier who did I put that yeah I had a look at Brozier's stats he's not scored a goal in like seven years yeah not true though no his last three nah his last three his last three teams it was Fulham he scored none Everton he scored none so far he didn't play much though did he?
1:43:52he played like 18 games by the way I agree he played like 18 games at Fulham without a fucking goal why is he still getting assigned? why did you get angry over everything? calm down I'm angry at the teams I'm angry at the news I'm angry at the news it's because he's come through Chelsea you've got a reputation reputation for not scoring any goals Brighton I've gone Rutter I've gone Rutter as well Minta he actually can't start at the moment I don't think he's that everyone keeps raving about him they spent a lot of money on him as well you know from Leeds a lot of money is that record signing yeah a lot of money is that record signing not convinced Jorginho not convinced I'm not a massive I wasn't that big of a fan of him at Leeds I was surprised by the money they spent 40 mil yeah literally a record signing I think Minta I think that's a fair shout because he is really good tough club man you can't pick Belieber because he actually probably is as good I nearly went Lewis Dunk he's just a bit raw yeah still I think Lewis Dunks a bit of a donkey sometimes right who's next who did you say I can pick one here I think I think it's good because he's still he's really good but he's just still a bit raw and he's a bit like I didn't have a name but I know how there's a graphic that goes on screen so you need to say something Minter Brentford I've gone Jordan Henderson yeah I also went Jordan Henderson what he just had a great game not in the past now did you watch him the weekend he played all right against Chelsea he's still going to get picked isn't he Yeah, because he's good.
1:45:15You're saying we don't have midfielders. We're not on about England. We're on about Brentford. I think this is the hardest team. Takes into consideration. I've got Yarmilic. And Henderson. Who? Yarmilic. I think this is the hardest team. You don't need those, do you? No. Yarmilenko? No, he's a holding midfielder. He played like 40 games last season overall. Over Norgaard? They play multiple people in midfield. He's just really avid. When I watch Brentford, I feel like they're a really good team. And no one's rated individually. And I feel like he is just, every time I watch him, he's really average.
1:45:49I've never seen him in my life. Do you think there's a shelf of Damsgaard just because people are automatically saying, now Norgard's gone, he's going to fill his hole. Most of Brentford players are like that. You're like, yeah, they spawn out of nowhere. Who the fuck is this guy? Fucking hell, Lou. That's a bit rough, isn't it? He's going to fill his hole. Have you seen this guy before? I don't think he's ever existed. He's Ukrainian, isn't he? I have never seen his name on the team sheet in my life. I don't think he's a real person. Did you not watch the chess again? Yeah, I did. I didn't see him in the game.
1:46:17He was getting wrong with you. I watched the whole game and didn't see him once. Who did you say? I'm going to go Damsgaard only because it's impossible. Number one, impossible to pick a player. Number two, I wanted to see Reece Nelson, but that's just harsh as hell. And three, I just feel like because Norgard's gone, it's like, yeah, Damsgaard's filling that role. But it's like, I like Damsgaard, but he's not as good. Damsgaard in the 10 and Norgon in the six. No, but that's what we were seeing on the show. It's like, oh yeah, you can fill that hole. No, we didn't. There's two different positions on the show.
1:46:45They're different players. That's like going Colt Palmer can fill in Caicedo's role. They're completely different players. That's not the same. I was saying on the show. You fucking idiot. What's the next team? Fucking hell. Bournemouth. I've gone Justin Cliver. I went Justin Cliver. I said Cliver. We all agreed. You know he had that patch last year of like... He scored penalties though. Yeah. But he scored a couple of worldies as well and then like... Against them. And then what happened? He took you to the cleaners. Why do you think he's in here? We all thought he's going to be like the next Patrick Klyver.
1:47:14I actually think Hot Take, Wattara's better than him. And they would have been better keeping him and selling Klyver. Interesting. And Wattara's way younger, right? He's like 21. I think, but they got a lot of money for him, didn't they? As Brentford's... We all actually agree. Wait, who'd you go for? Klyver, I think. Next. Villa. Martinez. Onana. Onana. I mean Martinez. We agree. He's a different player, isn't he? I was between Martinez and Onana. I think Martinez is... You can't argue. He's all right, but every year he's like, he wins the best goal in the world. He's not the best goal in the world.
1:47:42You're just a hater because you... No, he's not the best goal in the world. He's not the best goal in the Premier League. No one said he's the best keeper in the world. That's a good... Yes, they do. People have said that. Yeah, but they're mental. Yeah, but so are you. No, I'm not. Yeah, you are. I think I'll not. Yeah, he's a different player, isn't it? Arsenal. Friendly fire. So easy. So fucking easy. Wait to see what they say. I think we'll have the same one. He actually had a haircut, so he couldn't even copy your phrase as well. You've gone Erdegaard. Friendly fire. I'm going to say someone.
1:48:12Erdegaard. Erdegaard. Mate, he stuck out like a sore thumb the weekend. Well, he came off quite early. Yeah. But the link-up play of him on the edge of the box, he slows everything down. He always wants to do a little flick. Stop. He's so annoying. Stop. Get Eze in that role. You'll cook. Stop it. You're being horrible. Yeah, it's Erdegaard. Yeah, it's shit. I just want... He shouldn't be starting for Arsenal. He's the captain. he needs to take the game by the scruff of their neck and just fuck shit up. But he can't. He's not suddenly going to do that, is he? That's not him. He was so frustrating.
1:48:42Two years ago, he was here. Do you not remember at the end of last season, last game, we celebrated him smacking a ball in the back of the net. He smacked the ball. Do you remember that? He scored a goal and he smacked it. We celebrated when he scored a goal. No, but he smacked it and said like, and like... What? Who's next? That's what I mean. He's club captain. He should play like he's club captain. I don't think he should. Declan Rice should be your captain. Or Gabriel is going to lead you to Champions League? Maybe. Right, there we go, guys. You agree with me on a logical basis. It's funny how he said it.
1:49:16That's our overrated player at every Premier League club. Sorry if you're watching. Friends of the show. I'm not sorry to anyone. And obviously, don't forget to hashtag it.
