In short

Premier League title race fallout after Arsenal’s 1-1 draw vs Manchester City, plus “overrated/underrated” PL takes across fixtures (Newcastle, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, Leeds, Bournemouth, relegation battles).

Guests

No guest names are provided in the transcript. The episode is hosted by Theo and “Reeve” (co-host), with additional recurring voices referred to as “Tom” and “Lewis” (not present in this recording).

Key claims

  1. Arsenal still have a realistic title chance because they played well vs City, missed key chances (Havertz header; Eze close; Gabriel hit post), and City will drop points (Everton/Bournemouth away; possible Villa final-day result).
  2. Arsenal’s biggest problem is lacking a consistent “match winner” after taking off a key forward (debate between Jørgen “Jokeres” and Havertz hybrid role).
  3. Arteta’s April record/pressure is questioned; City’s late-season strength is emphasized.
  4. Newcastle are vulnerable; Eddie Howe’s future is debated due to late goals conceded and poor consistency.
  5. Chelsea are in crisis (Vazinha criticism; poor bench; scoring droughts).
  6. Spurs/Brighton and Leeds’ survival are highlighted as standout storylines; Bournemouth’s unbeaten run is praised.

Notable examples

Havertz chance vs Donnarumma; Gabriel/Haaland physical battle; Arsenal red-card debate (Gabriel); Liverpool 100th-minute Everton winner; Spurs’ winless 2026 run; Matoma volley; Leeds’ Farke-led survival push; Bournemouth’s club-record unbeaten streak.

Welcome back to Pitchside. And I know what you're thinking. Theo, why are you so happy after losing to Manchester City? Yeah, you two are surprisingly chirpy. Well, we didn't get really drunk last night. What? Yeah. surprise surprise Tom's hangover two and a half men two and a half men one in an Australian shirt one in a I've actually changed allegiances to AFL now guys I don't even watch real soccer anymore the thing is Reeve and the viewers watching at home right now do you know it's actually sorry to cut you off do you know it's crazy no it's fine Arsenal's still top of the league right and yet the general feeling just feels a little bit speak for yourself there son It's because of the momentum Yeah it is The problem is boys I've done the maths And ultimately Maths don't lie The math doesn't lie I actually think Arsenal still win the Premier League On goal difference No I honestly I think City Against I agree I don't think City Are going to win every game I actually think Arsenal will I don't think Arsenal will either I think 100 % comes down to the last day No matter what I think Yeah But I just think City are going to drop points.

2:01And it wouldn't surprise me away at Burnley. Let's not be silly. Yeah. So in that case, I'd like to, based on how they're playing at the moment, the fact they can smell blood, it's the end of the season. Pep's in like third, maybe fourth gear now. Where are they going to drop points? I think their toughest fixtures will be Everton away. And they are probably the... And Bournemouth away. They are probably the tough ones. Bournemouth away is a tough one. With how Bournemouth are playing at the moment. Even Brentford at home. Brentford are in great form. But City at the Etihad are just a different beast.

2:30I think it's Everton and Bournemouth away are the two tough fixtures. And even final day of their season, Aston Villa could do a number. I'd back Una Emery to get a result against City. They couldn't do one all over again. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, I mean, yeah. Their fixtures aren't easy for sure, but they're a different beast at this time of the season. What actually feels me with confidence with Arsenal was we actually, I know we lost. We actually played well. I agree. I thought you were the best. We had the better chances as well. we just lacked basically a Harlan up front. I'm sorry, Havertz is header at the end he has to score.

3:04He has to get it on target. That's a sitter. That one isn't as bad as the one where he's thrown goal after Odegaard plays him. I'm not sure. I think the header's worse. You think so? I think Donnarumma's done well for Havertz. He's good in the air as well. Havertz should score the 1-1 but you can also say it's a good save. The header. it's not acceptable to not even get on target as well I think contextually because it was 1-1 the miss where he's threw on goal is bigger it means more but it's not an easier chance true but if he scores the header a point's a great result yeah but I mean if we score that goal I think we just cling on to the 2-1 which is even like that's the that's the Premier League that's the Premier League done isn't it contextually that is correct but I think in terms of a chance missed it's the Havertz one but also you look sorry the header but I mean Eze is what a centimetre from scoring?

3:54Yeah. With Gabriel's hit the post as well. You were unlucky, but... It's just, Harlan got the better of Gabriel when it matters, You say unlucky, but we spoke about it quite a bit during the stream. It's a red card. Yeah, he should have been selling one, yeah. If we're talking about luck during the game, and that would be a three-game ban as well. That is, that's what's worse about it because it wouldn't have affected the game, obviously, but considering what happened, but it's more the next three games. Now, if you've not got Gabriel, That's a massive miss But we do Considering the minute You're playing two Central halves I actually think It should have been A second yet I think he should have Got booked earlier In the game For the The tour game Ripped his shirt Yeah But then at the same time It was quite a good battle To see Erling Haaland Against Gabriel I think it was Incredible football match I think they both Rhymed each other They both probably Embrated each other A little bit I'm not that bothered About the shirt pulling So it was They were both Doing it to each other But the head The headbutt It's like It's crazy We got away with that It's Gorrigo Arsenal's next fixture in the Premier League is at Newcastle at home I know previous seasons probably I'd be a bit more nervous we are streaming it but I think going into this game now after the way we played against City if we go in with how we played yesterday with the confidence I think we just absolutely wipe the floor on them well we should win all five I think we they are and they're all in London mate we don't even have to go anywhere look all five are in London I think I saw I think it was Rooney or Danny Murphy said it on Match of the Day that you know traditionally you'd think oh the three home games probably that's what you want you want as many home games as possible but after the way sort of the crowd were reacting with the Bournemouth it adds a bit more pressure being in the game I feel like going away sort of reduces the pressure a little bit I did see the bit that you're on about where Rooney was like the fans certainly the match going fans now for the running are essentially the 12th man for Arsenal but it's a huge result yeah a huge thing at the moment yeah but then also at the same time every team you go Voto wants to spoil your chances.

5:54Yeah, 100%. And we've got a Champions League semi-final mixed in there as well. Yeah. At the end of April. I will say though, if we look, regardless of, at this point we don't know who's going to win the Premier League, right? Could be Arsenal, could be Man City. When we look back in like five, ten years time, that is such a fucking great game of football. Oh yeah. Objectively. I take back everything I said pre-game. I thought that was going to be an absolute stinker and it weren't. It was a good game. I enjoyed it. Did that frustrate you? Arsenal actually had a go in fairness to him. You can't complain.

6:22Did it frustrate us that we played well and didn't win? No, that you didn't do that against somebody like Bournemouth or you haven't been doing that for the last few weeks. You watched that so you can do that. I think they were just nervous against Bournemouth. I think it was just... They're really silly. They're going to have off days. They are. People aren't going to not point. Arsenal are going to be nervous. But I don't think they were nervous yesterday. No. Actually, I thought Arsenal edged it, to be honest. Yes, I don't know. I think a draw would have been a fair result, actually. Yeah. If we continue like that, if we played like that against Bournemouth, we win.

6:52you don't have any match winners. It's a massive issue for a team trying to win the title. If the Eze goal goes in, then we'd be... But then we take Eze off. Yeah, exactly. And I was moaning at that at the time. But Reeve, he didn't. He's five centimetres away from a well. I understand that. And Havertz was centimetres away from beating Donnarumma one-on-one, but he didn't. Haaland gets half a chance. It's a goal. Cherokee, they've got three or four match winners. You don't have a match winner. Proven yesterday. You've got no one to go and get you that goal. Who are you looking at? Well, the guy that we were looking at, we took him off.

7:31Do you think if you're Jokeres, you're annoyed you didn't play? 100%. Yeah. Although Havertz played all right, in fact. I thought Havertz was one of our, actually, one of our, I know he missed chances, but he's one of our better players. Yeah, his link up play is remarkably better. That's the issue. Havertz shouldn't be. Yeah, if you take Jokeres off, if you play Havertz over Jokeres, you're going to get the all-round play better, the link up play, everything. but you're not going to get the finishing. Jokere is in fairness to him, can finish. But he can't do anything else. You need to merge them together.

7:59That's what I just said. Did you? Yeah, hybrid. I just do, I think that's damning. Either way, going into the game, it felt like if we lost, it's so over. But I think if you just look at it, if you actually look at the table, there's still so much to play for. Really, of course. So much to play for. You're top of the league by three points, right? Yeah. You're the semi-final of the Champions League. Yeah. It isn't doom and gloom. However When you The context of it The momentum swing How far ahead you were You could have gone 12 points clear Like last Our last two Premier League games Have been lost That is huge That is big At this point The worst thing The worst thing is In the last month of football Maybe like 40 days We lost more games We've won one out of the last Five fixes Six fixes And that was one nil against Sporting away Mate It's a sea of red That's where you bring in Arteta's record in April now So Guardiola's win record in the Premier League in April is 71%.

8:54It can't be a coach, you do. I wonder what that is, though. It's in the 30s. What is that? Experience? What is that? Me, personally, like I said last week, I think it's the whole the pen stuff, the big screen stuff. I just think it, I think that relays to the players that, oh, fucking hell, he's nervous. He's trying to do mad things to try and get us over the line, when actually just you should just treat it as normal, I think. I feel like he's trying too hard almost a bit like Pep used to make mad decisions in finals over thinking I think that's what Arteta's doing personally Pep's learnt from it through the years of experience I guarantee Arteta's silly the build up to this game would have been no different to the build up who'd they play last who?

9:38City obviously a bit more intense but who'd they play last City? No last game they played Chelsea on 3-0 I guarantee the build up to that would have been no different to this week pretty much. I mean, if you look at City's, I know they obviously lost to Real Madrid, but the last four fixtures in the FA Cup, League Cup and everything, beat Arsenal, beat Chelsea, beat Liverpool, beat Arsenal. I mean, it's a big wins there. The biggest one's probably the League Cup final because that's when everything started switching. That was the swing, go on it. They've had a settled team, so the last... That's another point that I want to raise.

10:11He's not changed the team. Pep's kind of orchestrated it to a position now where he knows, right, that's our XI. Yeah. It doesn't really matter who we come up against. They're playing so well as a cohesive unit. They're always going to be that good. Pep Roulette doesn't exist anymore. Exactly. He's actually one of the fewer managers that isn't changing his team to be fair. Is that also because they're not as strong as they were depth-wise? So he kind of has to. But Rodri might be out now for a few weeks. Not in Europe either. So he doesn't have to change. Yeah, that's a good point. Yeah. But I mean, when you've got players like Nico O 'Reilly and Cherky that are just, they're ridiculously good.

10:43I wanted to ask you, obviously you mentioned there that you're almost too emotional. what you thought about Arsenal at the end like the players like there's a clip of Rice but it's not over yet but it's almost like they seemed defeated I felt like they looked like they were defeated yeah a lot of that after Bournemouth yeah I think they felt defeated because they know how big of a game it is but they're going to pick themselves up this week but it's not over is it I felt like you should have had more of a reaction I wouldn't look too much into it I think in the moment you've just lost to one of your biggest rivals in the league you are going to feel like that but it's all about how do you then go on this week and sort of move on from that?

11:19A lot of people, I saw as well, the discourse online was a lot of people saying he's doing it performatively. I don't think, I just think that's Rice, Declan Rice. He was going up to the place. He's raging. It's not over yet. It's not over yet. Come on, boys. It's not over yet. That's what you would do. I think that's, that's just his natural leadership. I don't see a wild race doing it for the cameras. I do think a lot of that's overstated. Like, it's not their fault a camera's shoved into their family. And they don't know when they're on camera either. I mean, unless you're Harland. they do because they put the camera right there nothing's like zoomed in but still I do agree I don't think it's performance but one good thing for Arsenal is that City obviously play again midweek but then we have a week's rest to really go at it and like there's no Champions League football midweek do you not think they'll rotate a bit for that Southampton game though?

12:02probably in the semi-final who? City? probably yeah that's what I'm saying yeah but they're playing Burnley in the Premier League does it not just feel like groundwork though? they'll just play the same squad as they did on Saturday Does it not just feel like Groundhog Day? It's just the same old. I feel like... If I'm Arsenal or I'm Teta, I'm just thinking, Jesus Christ, even when we go there and have a go, we still can't fucking get it. It feels like Groundhog Day, but to a degree where you're buffering it away for so often. Yeah. And you're like, no, it's not this week. Yeah. It won't happen this week.

12:32And then it happens again. And then you're like, okay, no, but guys, we've got a couple more weeks before it becomes a reality. And now it's on the brink of being like, when City do win midweek, and if they win by like 4-0 or whatnot, they are top of the league. The only shine of light is how we played. If we had lost that game and played classic... Yeah, but then we can never... We could have gone there and held a really bad nil-nil draw and people would go, wow, that was shit. If we'd gone there and played pragmatic football, then I think going forward and still let us be like, oh, for fuck's sake.

13:02But the fact that we can actually go give it a go is giving me more confidence going into the rest of the season. Does that make sense? I mean, I'm confident regardless. I think we win the five games anyway, but it's whether or not it's enough to do you think you win all five yeah I do you should you should goal difference I wanted to just say obviously Man City beat Burnley they could go top of the league this season Arsenal have been top of the table for two and six days while City have only done it for six since Arteta took charge of Arsenal in 2019 City have won the league four times but Arsenal has held top spot for more days what's the issue there well the issue there is that City turn up from March to May.

13:44When it matters. Yeah. And you can't blame them for being that good at the end of the season but we need to match them. Otherwise it's pointless, isn't it? Do you think Arsenal get through against Atletico? Yeah. No. No? No. I'm quite surprised by your optimism. Yeah. Well, I mean, I saw how we played against them. I know it's different because obviously we beat PSG in the early stages last year and then they ended up turning us over in the I'm not even on about that I just mean like I don't think I mean they're good but I think we're better we've already beaten them 4-0 this season yeah I'm not even on about that to be honest Arsenal could well go through you won't matter because you won't win the final but like I just think this play the tape at the end of the season when we've won the final I think yesterday was yesterday was huge man huge no I I get it but we played well we played well and that could translate into five out of five wins.

14:41It doesn't matter. At this point in the season, it's not about playing well. It's about winning. Yeah. I think they are easy enough fixtures where I think we win all five. And that's the only hope I have that there could be. I know you've just been turned over by Bournemouth at home, sporting outplagia, both legs. I think Bournemouth are better than every single team that are there. Maybe, but they're not Brazil. No, I know. You're meant to be the best team in the league. I know, but you're saying why am I still optimistic? I'm only, I am still on the fence of being, of being, I said I'm on the fence.

15:19It's a self-aware joke. Fucking hell, last time City lost in a Premier League was here tonight. I'm optimistic because I think that those five games are winnable. Whether or not that's enough to win the Premier League, I don't know, but that's all we have to do. true but every game you play is winnable you're top of the league you know what I mean yeah but you're no no no my counterpoint to you saying why are you so optimistic is because I look at the fixtures and I go I don't think it's not even forget the fixtures it's ground dog day you can't get over the line yeah when we lose to Newcastle I'll be like yeah that's whatever is it so obviously we've been going on Lewis about Eddie Howe blah blah blah is it time to get a winner in in charge well we'll see at the end of the year you could still walk away with a double.

16:06You could have gone 12 points clear a week ago and now City are going to get a level in the week. I think he does have to go. But we talked about that though to be fair. Even just a few weeks ago we were talking about City might overtake us there may be this and that and that is a title race. I think it's unforgivable you're even in this position. You were so far ahead and so clearly the best team in the league that the fact it's now going to be level with five games to play I think it's unforgivable. the position you're in in FA Cup League Cup you've had the easiest run in the Champions League and still just about got through I just that is football I just don't trust him I don't trust Arteta to get you over the line I just don't I would not be surprised at all if Newcastle beat you next week whereas I'd be really surprised if any of them teams beat City maybe a draw here and there maybe Bournemouth away tricky but Newcastle are bad though you are Newcastle are bad yeah they are genuinely like bad right now they are but they have got it in them they can turn it on when they're good they're good and they've had your number recently in recent years like they have turned you over a couple times I just think if I'm an Arsenal fan I'd be so dejected just of yeah but then what else do we have you know what I mean well an email that's what I mean sweet death anything well keep spinning mate I just I was so convinced I wasn't even taking the piss or like trying to jinx you when I was like oh, it's done, the title's done.

17:33I was so convinced. You were so far and away. And we were telling you it weren't done. I understand, but it should be. It should be done. I think, honestly, like gun to the head, I think Manchester City win the Premier League, but that doesn't stop me from having hope. Yeah, of course, of course. I'm just trying to look at it objectively and trying to be like, I just, I don't know, man. City just looks so much better defensively as well, which is going to win. And I just think... Than previous months. I feel, what must the players think? Like, they must just think, fucking hell like again yeah I mean I know it's checking again but it's just like I don't know I feel dejected I'm not even an Arsenal fan like if it weren't for you two I'd actually want Arsenal to win the league like because I'd quite like a new winner to be honest but it's only out of me taking the piss out of you so I want you to fucking bottle it because it's funny but so genuine genuine question then because obviously we're on the side that we probably think likelihood is Arsenal win all the games City might come down to goal difference or they drop points what do you think the landscape is of the final I think City win every single game now during the season win the league do Arsenal just on goal difference Arsenal won't win every game where do Arsenal drop the points then

18:45honestly that's difficult to call they should no no no I'm thinking they'll beat Burnley I think they'll beat Palace Palace will beat a conference final any of them next three games I would not be surprised if Arsenal dropped points genuinely it wouldn't surprise me one single bit. Newcastle have been terrible, but they have it in them, they do, to turn it on for one game. If it does click, they're a tough team to beat Newcastle, but when they're good, they are good. When they're good, they're good. My point is they're not though. No, I know, but that's what I'm saying. They haven't been all season.

19:19They've had odd games this season where they have been good. They have. The home game against Barcelona. They have had, Newcastle can, they haven't been consistent at all. They've been terrible and I think we'll get on to Newcastle, but it would absolutely blow me away if Burnley got a point against you. And even Palace away, I think. But if Newcastle beat you next week and got a point, I wouldn't be shocked. Question, right? Palace beat Newcastle. Do you not think the psychology is... So let's say, you know, whatever the reality is between Burnley and Man City, let's say City win 3-0, then what, two, three goals ahead in terms of goal difference.

19:55Do you not think psychologically Arsenal are better chasing anyway? so we'd be in so not at this at this stage is it a chase it's like no but I mean chasing's in like Feb isn't it or March when you've got like 10-15 but I mean we wouldn't be first so there's no it's not a psychology do you know what I mean do you think having that City game out of the way is now almost like a relief of like hey focus on the rest of them yeah I don't know I don't know behind just a question I think it's the title opposite I think it's in April after leading the league all season maybe chasing's the wrong terminology it's not chasing though be level what I mean is like the worst the worst that has happened we're no longer first right we've been caught go and win the rest but it's not it's not true though what do you mean this is what I mean we're talking about Arsenal chasing no longer first but there's every there's every chance that Arsenal put four against Newcastle top of the league on goal difference no but we're not saying but after the early game it's very likely City are top of the league I know I know but it's not like and then you go into the weekend it's not like we're a point behind or two points we are level we are actually level No, that's what I'm saying.

20:58That's why it's a psychological shift. We're no longer first in the table. All this doom and gloom stuff is, I understand it because of where we were, but I think you just have to have a positive mindset on this and be like, objectively, like, it's level. But that's what I mean. That's why winning five games is certainly quite a high reality. That's also easier said than done, isn't it? 100%, but I'm pretty good at taking myself into that feeling. I'm not about you. There's no way them players aren't just like, fucking hell, like, again. They've had a long season. You've played a lot of games.

21:24Arsenal, it's just like, they must just be like fucking hell what more can we do I'll tell you what they can do that's how I think a lot of them may feel I'll tell you what they can do go in the fucking Champions League and the Premier League and then really shut Lewis Bowden up I mean everyone else up I mean yes you are right there is every there is every possibility Arsenal still win the league and the Champions League I personally think there's no chance of that there's every possibility but I feel like there's no chance my personal opinion obviously there's a chance there's a good possibility really but in my opinion I think there's no chance did you see it was definitely I think it was done by a computer but the percentage likelihood of people teams finishing in places in the Premier League a month ago on the 14th of March when it was made Arsenal had a 97.2 % chance of winning the Premier League I mean yeah so there's that it's like that Avengers thing there's one chance in like 10 million that we don't win the league but a month later we've been caught that's unforgivable though isn't it yeah I know it is like I don't know anyways we've got to move on a quick one before we move on I want to ask just as a fixture as a whole this man obviously seeing Gabriel and Harlan going that battle was brilliant where does this Man City Arsenal rivalry rank amongst the great rivalries not the great but it's well the football rivalries are very different now aren't they because there's a lot more respect than they used to be do you reckon you put it up there no not at the moment oh sorry I thought he was right up there No not at the moment But I think it could Definitely be up there And then over the next Couple years If it continues the way It's not a rivalry Yeah it does Arsenal never win I think That's what I mean It could continue I think Arsenal need to win a title And then there needs to be More animosity In future games At least Liverpool Got the odd title And like pushed them To the absolute limit Like This ain't This is like To stay them old City just rubbed their head Every Like just go Cheers lads Thanks for holding The spot Speaking of Liverpool 100th minute winner Against Everton At the first Motorside derby At the hilly dick Yep Good game wasn't it It was a good game These were always quality Wasn't he I thought Everton Weren lucky Yeah You know Beto Has got the second most GA since like February That wouldn't surprise me In the league It's almost like He's better than Barry He was a handful He's a handful To be fair to Beto But Not that shot though I feel like Liverpool just have a voodoo On Everton doesn't matter how bad they are how good they are they just always seem to Moyes has only won four of his 41 games against Liverpool I mean yeah Everton's record against Liverpool is shocking is it because they hype it up so much but that's why the Tarkovsky equaliser was as good as a winner for them yeah because they're never yeah I don't know are Liverpool are they getting I know no no are they getting a bit more well they're better than they were at the start of the year yeah but I mean they might be leaving it a little too late but I mean they'll probably get fifth right they're going to get away with it because some of the players they've got are going to get them through games isn't they is Mo Salah going to finish the season it's a Liverpool career with a bang now Egetik is gone he's definitely the main man took his goal well Egetik is gone well but Isaac's back yeah Isaac is back Gakpo seems to have played a good full match as well the first this season mate he's so he's missing he's actually the problem is with Gakpo So he's fucking brilliant when he's on it.

24:53But like, Liverpool fans, he's never on it. Yeah, it's just tough to watch sometimes, man. Yeah, I thought, yeah. To be honest, maybe a draw, maybe a fair result. The offside was unlucky, wasn't it? It was so tight, that was. You know, at first look, I thought he's miles off. But like, actually, when they put the line up, I couldn't believe how close that was. I think you're right. Liverpool's saving grace has been how bad Chelsea just suddenly become. Or not suddenly become over the last... For the fifth spot, yeah. Yeah. there's what a seven point gap there's a seven point gap yeah and it's to Brentford as well really but Brentford Brentford could catch them you know what I mean yeah do you not think what Liverpool have though there and it proved yesterday was Salah and Van Dijk stepped up and what Tom was saying like Arsledoan and stuff they've got these match winners haven't they yeah I think it is massive yeah I think I mean yeah what's the seven points now the gap I think they're fine yeah I think the top five is pretty much cemented the order might change but yeah well Liverpool have obviously scored 6th 90th minute winners against Everton Everton are still in with a shout though Europe Europe Europe yeah 6-10 is like 12 yeah 6-12 is close yeah it's all over the place 6 or 7 could finish like 12 or 13 English or Spanish do you know what I mean Chelsea doing doing their best to just finish bottom half again I thought Chelsea were alright against United I thought Chelsea were the better team I thought Chelsea were the unlucky but they just can't do it yeah but I mean when like if you're Chelsea looking at that fixture going into it Man United having no senior centre backs available yeah like you'd be like mate guys how are we not scoring again fourth game in a row where they haven't scored a premier league match they should have had a penalty I know yeah I'm fuming about that I know De Laat played alright but I think missing Jao Pedro was a big penalty I thought obviously I went to the game and I was actually quite impressed with De Laat yeah I thought his movements is excellent, but they just don't, Chelsea build up so slow, like, I wish they'd move the ball a bit quicker out from the back, they're too happy going side to side, like no one really breaks the lines that often, unless it's into Parma and then he turns and drives with it, or maybe Kaisalio drives, or Hata had a few drives, but my God, that is, Go on, I know what you're going to say.

27:08I've been watching, when did Alvin get promoted? I've been watching Premier League football since 2003, right, 2002, 2003, that is the worst performance I've ever seen from like a player from a good team in the Premier League ever from Garnaccio that was his best performance ever for United he was wearing a Chelsea shirt yeah I know what you mean I was at obviously I didn't really care about I was fuming watching him I was like what the fuck just run at your defence just run at the full back just please run at him instead he turns back and just passes it to a red shirt yeah maybe he got confused true maybe he's actually all over the place what team am I on do you know what I mean Bruno got his 18th Premier League season assist will he do it I already said yeah but he needs to get he needs to get 21 yeah there is always a bit of a voodoo on that record you don't think he's going to get 3 I do think he will now I think he will yeah yeah he's so good man he's so good their next game is what Brentford at home that could be one Brentford at home it's a great finish and couldn't you result wasn't it yeah it was nice he took that really well yeah I reckon maybe an assist in the Brentford game one in the Sunderland game penalty that we agree a penalty though penalty on Palmer absolutely but I thought it was I thought it was ridiculous why did it not get looked at for long it didn't get looked at because they said it was outside but it was on the line but then the second second one comes flying and crunches in the other way it's a penalty I'm sorry it gets double flipped I don't understand rules like this you see some of the pens that are given in the Premier League are like barely anything yeah I'm sorry he's just been wiped out yeah that he's not because the initial contact is two centimetres outside the box I was more annoyed at the ref missing it.

28:46He was right in front of him. Yeah, Michael Lover. How do you... A foul is when you like take someone out and don't win the ball. That was like a double... Yeah. DP. No, in the ball. It was a double penetration. But it also didn't... It doesn't make any sense. Also, wasn't a free kick at the time anyway. It doesn't make any sense. It wasn't even like... It didn't even call it. Yeah, nothing. Not a single... So what has he done... Why is the player sitting in it? He's gone down. What is the referee thinking that's happened there? I have no idea. I don't understand. No, it's 100 % a foul whether it was inside the bottom really weird I wanted to ask you something on Vazinha because there's a lot of negativity around him at the bridge I'll be honest that was their sixth home defeat in a league in a season the first time since 1995 and it's their longest time going without scoring a goal in the league since 1912 is there any way back for them?

29:34they've lost six out of the last seven games is there any way back for them after this? yeah they need to win 8-0 at Brighton otherwise I don't see them win against Brighton no I don't think actually Brighton are one of the most informed teams in the league it would be classic I can see that not scoring four games and they'll lose against Leeds in the semi-final I think they will I think they will as well I think Leeds will beat them they'll play against Man United Leeds will beat them it'll be gone it'll be gone in the summer honestly I'll tell you what was really damning about Chelsea the weekend all the money they've spent all the transfers their bench was appalling yeah it was on their bench have a look at their bench do you remember at the start of the season and obviously they had to bring Garnaccio on because of Esteval getting injured.

30:09At the start of the season, we were like, there's so many players. What are they going to do with them? Mate, their bench, where are they? Their bench was Gui, Asugu, Santos, Tosin, Akipa, Lavia, Chalaba, Achimpong and Garnacho. Where's all their players? Who the fuck is going to change the game? Also, Enzo go off with an injury or was it just cramp? He cramped off. Okay. Yeah, he cramped off. Moving on to, I actually thought up until Sunday, Spurs-Brighton was game of the weekend. it was a brilliant game. Like genuinely brilliant game. End to end, chances, everything was going on. Yeah, there were some good games on Sunday for it to...

30:48Yeah, that's what I mean. And the cherry on top. I know you're going to say. When did they score? 83rd. Where did they score their winner? Yeah, the 83rd minute. Xavi Simms taking his top off and running into it. I think it was not earlier than that. No, I think it was the 83rd, wasn't it? As soon as I saw eight minutes. 77, yeah. It was earlier than that. As soon as I seen eight minutes, I was like, there's no way they're holding on. They've scored the winner 20 minutes before the end of the game, essentially. And that celebration, oh my God. Mate, it's like when they celebrated being top of the league after the first game.

31:19That is why that club's getting relegated. Huh. I mean, they have to... Do you remember the start of the season? That was a huge goal at the time. What are you on about? 20 minutes to go, mate. It fucking drew. Yeah, I think you've been a bit... I know you've been critical. It weren't that long. They are. Oh, sorry. It weren't 20 minutes to go. Yeah, 77. Game went to 97 minutes. Oh, he didn't know that that long was going to be added on. It was still 15 minutes before the end of the game. It was still a massive, massive goal. No, I mean, fair play to them. They've, you know, Brighton are a good team.

31:44They've scored. What were you expecting him to do? Just run back to the centre circle? No, I celebrated about it. Fucking hell, calm down, son. Yeah, but they've had nothing to cheer about. They've had nothing. No, no, what I'm saying is they've had nothing to cheer about for so fucking long. They go up against a team that's probably the most in form in the Prem currently. I think they're entitled to celebrate. In a do or die game where they had to win. and he scores an absolute world to possibly keep them staying up. Yeah. No, no, I agree with that bit. But like in the moment, you're being mental right now.

32:12That was an unreal goal too. It was a great goal. He had every right to go over the top. He scored a bang towards the end of the game that at the time would have basically put them back in the fight to stay up. Do or die game. And you're thinking he should just go, just run back. 77 minutes. It's got ages to go. that West Ham are about to play a hungover Crystal Palace team but it would have been a nice you know I think they are probably down now I think that's done now they had to win on the weekend I think yeah West Ham will beat Palace tonight I don't know didn't even know they literally were on they were on the pitch for like three days honestly this happens a lot right when people say towards the end of the season they're like oh they're on the beach and like they literally were in a pub though no I know but honestly I can't give you examples but off the top of my head I swear there's like a thing with that where people think that and then they just turn up and win weird I don't know well Spurs I don't think West Ham will win tonight but that would be good for Will because if they do you're officially relegated West Ham need a point and we're down is that it?

33:15I thought it was Spurs mate if West Ham wins tonight there's four points clear of Spurs yeah it's done I think it's done anyway but I don't even trust Spurs are going to beat Wolves actually no I don't I think they will but I wouldn't trust them they're going to beat us obviously that game was brilliant and whatnot but how good was that Matoma volley? Oh my God. Goal of the, well yeah. I tweeted after it, goal of the season and I got fucking hammered. Yeah, the technique's just... It is good. Is that the first game you watched the season? I was like, what's better than that? Left foot, come down with snow on it, volley, unbelievable.

33:47Because he's side-footed it, not laced it. Yeah, but he's hitting just as hard as if you've laced it. I know, but some people are like that, I can't think of a better, maybe it's a Bozlo goal but the free kick. That's a phenomenal goal. It's one of the goals this season for sure. Technique off the scale. Brighton not giving up. A little bit on Spurs. Now 15 league matches without a win. Their worst run since 1935. They still not won this year, have they? And do you know what's a really bad start? Only Sheffield Wednesday have picked up less points across all four top tiers in 2026. Spurs have only got six points this year.

34:22They beat up less current teams. I will say though, it was better. It was better. you are right it was a lot the issue Spurs have though is that there's every possibility that Tottenham Hotspur do not win a Premier League football match in the year of 2026 yeah maybe possibly they'll probably win next week though I think I think they'll beat Wolves I think they'll beat Wolves yeah do you yeah they will really well actually to be fair if West Ham get any points tonight and you're down that's entirely the chance where you would have you watched Wolves recently I actually think we'd beat Wolves just the four of us together yeah they were shocking the weekend I like that one talking about Wolves big win for Leeds huge win yeah yeah it's kind of cemented them in the Premier League yeah that was I mean they didn't have to they didn't have to play well did they it's good save from Darlo though yeah it's a great save but other than that the first goal Jesus who was it who gave it away Totti fucking Ada like he's shit in some way to form, isn't he?

35:27Three goals in two matches, is it? He's really good, you know, he's really good, I like him. I like him a lot. I had two tickets to late, I couldn't go, I couldn't even give them away. I was trying to sell them and I was like, I'll give them away for free and nobody would take them. So I've just 60 quid out of pocket now. Yeah, a couple of more mates went and they said probably the worst they've seen all season, which is fucking bad. Yeah, that is bad. Well, there was a bit of a They were going mad towards the end, weren't they? Tolu has had a go at Mane so he's going to be leaving in the summer bit of a dressing room bust up afterwards Mane Tolu Tolu and Mane had a bit of a flare up I don't know but apparently Tolu was the sole aggressor why is he taking that on Mane I don't know I think that's just who doesn't want to play in the championship next year he's probably no Tolu well none of them probably yeah Mane's been I know obviously he's not he's not been brilliant Avarese, but he's been one of their shining lights since he came into the side, hasn't he?

36:25Do you know what I mean? He was good when he came on. Well, not good, but better than all the others. It's probably been a little silver lining that he has dropped off a bit because you'll probably keep him. Yeah, that's a good point. If he'd have carried on the way he was going, I think someone in the program would have snapped him. But I think now people will just like maybe have a look at him, see how he gets. Well, fair play though, because you've followed on for as long as possible, haven't you? I mean, yeah, as it stands, the great escape is still on. Yeah, mathematically. You need help.

36:57Didn't Lou say that they were going to get more points than West Ham? Yeah. He also said Newcastle were going to win the domestic. Unbelievable from Leeds, though. 39 points. Yeah. Statistically, no side's ever gone down with that many points. With five games still to play. What a job, man. How much credit does Farke get? Unbelievable. So much credit. We all put him in the conversation. I thought they were going straight back down. He's finally, in fairness to Farke, which obviously we probably didn't give him the credit for. He's never actually been given a chance. Norwich never had a go, did they?

37:28No. He was always doing it there. Also, this Leeds team, they play good football. It's exciting football to watch as well. I enjoy watching Leeds play good football. Do you know what I really like about Leeds? It seems to not matter who comes on or off. Yeah. The level doesn't drop. He's been out for what? How many games now? And their midfield is still just absolutely cooking. Yeah, you're right. Whoever comes in, the system's over. Yeah 100 % They've got some talent In stacking Okafor But they're so solid At the back I thought they were Unbelievable But Strzok and Bijal Was good as well I think they're brilliant Strzok and Bijal Yeah I think they need A goalie in the summer Though didn't they How old's he now Though Darlow Darlow is 35 Leeds want to kick on He's Welsh What Well he's not I can't imagine No he's not He's only 35 I thought he was Croatian Or something What What?

38:20I've got a spell of my life. There's no itch at the end of his name. Or like Eastern European. I had no idea he was Welsh. Absolutely. Did you know he was Welsh? I didn't know he was Welsh. What did you think he was? I thought he was British. Yeah. British? Be honest. Oh, he's English? Yeah. Yeah, he's Welsh. That's not that crazy. He's not like Serbian. What are you talking about, mate? I had no idea he was Welsh. Didn't he come up the ranks of like lower league football? Isn't he from Newcastle? He played for Newcastle for like seven years I think he's What Croatian starts a fucking Nottingham Forest I actually think he's from Newcastle am I wrong He's a Geordie but he's a Geordie Welshman He's played like ten times a world He's born in Northampton Okay I was wrong We're all just wrong about him Oh as he chose as he chose Welsh He's obviously like grandparents He's played thirteen fourteen times for Wales Has he?

39:13Yeah Ooh Who knew Speaking of the Geordies eh I mean they're just Bournemouth just have their number every time which is actually quite fun Everyone has their number No but I mean Literally everyone Specifically I can't remember the last time Newcastle beat them I was I cycled over to Sanford Bridge on Saturday after I did my work at Spurs and I was listening to the radio it was very telling some of the calls coming in from Newcastle fans basically along the lines of they're very hesitant to be like how out but it's basically we want him they want him to a lot of them are saying want him to walk because I think he deserves that it's because they've won their trophy leave with honour and he's done such a good job with Newcastle he's a legend isn't he but I do think he's run his course do you reckon he gets a statue right genuine out of interest don't know because when you leave you're remembered fondly for when you're there aren't you do you reckon he does you can't build an anyhow statue what for the first trophy in what over 70 years or whatever it is yeah I don't think they will No, it's just a question Lou, what do I need?

40:19But they want to be like a Champions League club They want to be like a Champions League powerhouse You can't put a track for a league club Think about what he did when he took them over Everyone wants to be that but they're not I know but are we not getting a bit out of hand in that? You just said to build a statue of any house Follow them out of Michael Jackson's statue mate I mean Grands have had statues for less bro I don't think that's that crazy When he's gone when he's gone he'll be remembered way more fondly than how they think about it. Yeah, no, I agree. I agree, but... I'm only trying to ask a different...

40:51I just like... Oh, yeah, fair enough. I laughed at you when you said Dan Barnard ago. So it could happen. It defeats in 11 league games. No team has conceded more late goals than Newcastle this season. Is Eddie Howe manager in August? I'm going to ask it every week. No. No. This was the exact scenario, by the way, that obviously Lewis isn't here to represent himself, but this was the exact scenario where we said, Lou, if you finish the season, you're out of every trophy, you finish about 14th in the Premier League, would he go? And I'm pretty sure he said we'd have to consider it maybe yes. So that's the biggest how advocate out of everyone that we know.

41:30I feel like. And Leeds can catch him. Do you know what's really, yeah, that's poor. There she can. Do you know what's really damning for Newcastle? At no point on Saturday did I think they weren't going to lose that game. Yeah, same. I totally agree I wasn't even watching it and I was like I just I just when a Bournemouth gonna score I just which for them from where mate they're only three points above Leeds yeah they've lost 15 they've lost they've lost as many games as Forest that is shocking isn't it yeah I do just think like Howe's been great and I don't think it's just a him thing managers do run their course yeah and they do run out of ideas and he it's not working the way he wants to play it's and their signings teams figure you out.

42:13The signings he made just haven't worked either. No. That doesn't help. No. It just doesn't help at all. Shocking the signings. I think it's worth giving us a bit of praise to Bournemouth though. 100%. Yeah, Bournemouth have been excellent. 13 league games unbeaten now, a club record. I remember when everyone had a go to me and I said Bournemouth would finish above Newcastle. Did they finish above Chelsea? Well done mate, you're a genius. I fucking am, I know. No, we didn't have that conversation. Yeah, we did. He had an argument with... And Luke was like, you're a fucking idiot. It's not. It was really Palace and Sunderland we were arguing.

42:45I said Bournemouth as well because I put Bournemouth in the top 10. I put Bournemouth in the top 10 and everyone was like, you're a fucking idiot. They're so shit. Oh my God, they got even worse. Went on like a 10 game I'm beating, 15 game I'm beating streak. Are they going to finish in the top seven? Should we stand up and applaud? I think we should. Turns out actually everything I say in the moment sounds silly but it comes to fruition and be true. Opposite of what you actually do, Tom. Thanks, mate. Bournemouth, 100 % could get sick. 100 % with the form I think I actually think I think if anyone's going to do it Brentford or Bournemouth I think will be the team that gets sixth because of momentum Is that what you think or are you just saying that could happen?

43:21I think it will happen yeah Brentford or Bournemouth You think they're going to get your rep elite? Bournemouth or your rep elite? I think it'll be between Brentford or Bournemouth not Chelsea Okay You had Chelsea fifth last week Yeah but now I just Did I? Yeah I think I did You did You had Brentford sixth and Chelsea fifth Last week We didn't do that We did it on the stream We said Who's our European I said it'd be the same order Chelsea 6 Brentford 7 I said it'd finish like that I don't know why I'd say that Because Chelsea They're not awful Sorry 6th Not 5th 6th you said Football changes People said Everton Didn't they Yeah Mate Football was a fast changing sport I think I said Everton 7 Football was a fast changing sport I just think Who is What teams are actually Looking the best right now Brentford and Bournemouth At Brentford they've drawn they haven't won in five I mean admittedly they also haven't lost in the last five but five draws in a row do they?

44:14Bournemouth or Brentford? Brentford Bournemouth look good I don't think Brentford look like Brentford like obviously they're punching well above their weight but they're not they were that game was shocking you even said that I know yesterday was the worst game of the weekend 100 % I just said something about Bournemouth that I don't know and they got tough fixtures with United, Liverpool and City but yeah I didn't realise that yeah it says a lot about the game when I put one bullet point on it. Yeah. I just think other than that game but like they've just got I think they've got a bit of flair up front.

44:45They obviously got Thiago as well. I don't know. Brentford are decent. If anyone's going to do it it would probably be Bournemouth now. I think. They're two good systems though. I still think Everton will. This is actually a really good argument for the systems versus talent situation of being Chelsea versus Bournemouth. 100%. 100%. yeah does every chance Chelsea finish 11th yeah true this is how tight the league is at the moment finish 11th lose the Leeds in the semi-final could Brighton sneak six yeah do you know what I mean they're fucking weird the race for 6th place is really exciting really exciting for sure it is yeah it's looking good really should Fulham aren't out of it I was going to say no 5 games technically Palisade they've got 2 games in hand yeah one of them is City though no problem for Palace mate too bad they have got a good record surely they're just focusing on the conference I'd imagine so yeah they'll probably win it they'll probably hung over I hope they win it again don't underestimate how much extra money you get from just like one position in the Prem they won't sack it off the teams at all but not at all I find this ironic we're just going to talk about the Nottingham Forest Burn again Morgan Gibbs-White pretty much adamant to relegate the team that he almost went to and then got held ransom from leaving Forest.

46:12It's a great hat trick, by the way. Like the level of finishes on them goals. Wait, so one midweek in Europa League. Yeah. Won the game week before. Yeah. Hat trick this week. First ever hat trick that he scored. Yeah. He's proper stepped up anywhere he's at the league. Is he going to the World Cup? It's just so unfair. I mean, he's just in that number 10 position. If we're picking people on form, he should absolutely be able to play. But then who's he going to go ahead of? Like Rod just looks phenomenal at the weekend again. Yeah, he's not going to go I don't think. He's just in a position which we just have so many players right now.

46:47What would he have to do between now and the end of the year? Hat-trick every game. I don't think he can do anything. Hat-trick every game? Really think that. No, I just think. Hat-trick every game he goes. I think, but yeah, hat-trick every game he would. I still don't think he would. He's got 12 goals in the Premier League. Mate, he's finished on 50 goals. He gets 20 goals in the Premier League it's a shame really because yeah he probably does deserve it but like you say realistically if we're being honest he should go ahead of Palmer but he's not going to is he? he's not going to take Palmer over Gibbs White like he's fifth top 44 players have got more Premier League goals I understand the argument when people are like pick players on form blah blah blah but I do get it but also it's like Saka's going to start for England isn't he as he should Bellingham will be in the 10 as well I don't think Bellingham I think I'll start Rodgers Do you reckon I don't think he likes him I don't think Tuchel likes They're in the meetings Depends if Tommy T watches this If he watches this Pitchside Yeah We have Forrest safe Friend of the show You're safe Is Vito Pereira now The survival specialist In the Premier League Two years in a row He's actually He's done alright I was going to say Am I going mental He actually has done A really good job He's actually done well Yeah But balancing in their European cup run and actually winning points in the Prem.

48:06They beat Porto too as well. Let's not forget that. They haven't lost since the start of March. Seven unbeaten in all competitions now. That's quite impressive. Semi-final against Villa, isn't it? And Chris Widsbeck, right? Well, from an informed number 10 to another informed number 10. Yeah, nice. Yeah, do you see what I did there? By the way, how long informed were we talking? It was informed yesterday. He hasn't been better the last few games Mate The footwork Well that's game of the weekend isn't it Yeah that was game of the weekend That Watkins I think was his second header when Mattson played the ball in Roger's footwork there to keep holding the ball Mate all the goals were good That's brilliant weren't they An unbelievable save from Martinez as well I think Could have gone 4-3 He made up for it as well because he slipped in on the run Yeah he did on this goal goal.

48:59Mate, that is Diara, isn't it? Who did the chip, I think it is. I can't remember. Why hasn't he just squared it? Oh, no. Yeah, was it Rigg or Hume running through? Oh, my God, yeah. He had to pass that. He had to pass it. Or just knock it past Martinez. Yeah, just stick it in the goal. Oh, just fucking pass it and you win the game. Do you know what the fucking catalyst, though, is McGinn, man. Since he's come back, Villa, he might be one of those underrated players in the league, McGinn. I totally agree with you I think people really But we always say he's underrated I think he is though Still underrated I think people just think You don't even think about him In the conversation of best Villa players But in terms of integralness to the team It's not even that As a player as well He's fucking quality Like Yeah He's not just this rat who runs around I think people like just label him As a bit of a runner But he's better than that Very good Right foot, left foot Well no he's very left footy Don't he look Well he's set up with the right I know you mean Yeah yeah yeah He's just standing on Villa on the verge of another Champions League that'd be second time in three seasons of qualified last season they only missed out on goal difference with all the injuries they had as well he's a genius probably going to win the Europa League as well yeah great season for them Sunderland still putting up a fight this is my bad anyway but what does the bracket serve them can they play Forrest they're playing Forrest it's semi-final is that what it is yeah that's basically the final because the other ones Freiburg and Braga yeah so whoever wins that probably wins it If so, like, say Spurs get relegated, right?

50:28It's a lot unlikely. Villa win the Europa League, get Champions League. Are Villa part of the big six? No. That's not how it works. No, it's not how the big six works, is it? It's about the size of club finances. Yeah. Even if Spurs get out, they're still in the big six. Are they next in line? I'd say so, yeah. But there is no next in line. Yeah. But, okay, I don't think it's a banter, isn't it? Unless the rules change. There was always You only used to be a top four Yeah Like 15, 20 years ago No, no But that was a top four Not a big four Yeah This has got nothing to do With performance But when did the big six Actually It's more financial Do you know what I mean When did it actually start Because growing up There was always the top four That's it When City started getting Really good Don't Spurs have like The ninth highest revenue In the world Like they're a massive club Yeah Beyonce mate Yeah NFL mate That's my bro Yeah If they go down Alright Right, say they can't be the big six if they're in the championship.

51:26It's a big five then. Yeah. It's a fugazi anyway, isn't it? Yeah, it doesn't really mean anything. It doesn't actually mean anything. Watkins got 16 goals in all comps this season. He's starting to turn it on when it matters again. Yeah, he's... I can't believe he's got 16 goals. He's doing shit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. When you think about individual performances in his plate. Only Harry Kane... He's the only Englishman Kane to have scored more league goals than Watkins from the top five leagues. He's just cementing his spot on the plane. With how good DCL and Welbeck have been as well. And he's still got...

51:54It weren't... Yeah. It weren't long ago. I was talking to my Villa mates and they were like fuming with him. Throughout the season? Yeah, like... Yeah, I agree. For the standard that he had. Weird. He's got in with Arsenal. 16, strongholds. He's been left out with five, isn't he? He's just like, yeah, sorry Tommy T. Yeah. Good. Yeah. And since we had the conversation about Calvary going on there, he's been like the most underperforming striker in all of Europe. Yeah. It's just classic, isn't it? He should have scored, I think, five or six more goals. It's classic Calvert-Lewin though, isn't it?

52:27Who are the strikers then you're taking to the World Cup right now? Kane, Watkins and Welbeck. I think it'll just be Watkins and Kane, I think. I mean, if you're going to take a third, it probably has to be like Tony Ford. Because he'll use Rashford and Gordon as backup. He will use Rashford, yeah. It'll just be the two. Yeah, I agree. Great game though. Absolutely great game. And obviously, Brentford played Fulham. Right, guys, that is the end of the Premier League. review, make sure you drop a like and subscribe because we're trying to hit 400 ,000 subscribers. Yeah, buddy. And if you're listening on audio, we continue into us doing the opposite of last week.

53:01Last week we ranked, or was it two weeks ago, we ranked the top 10 worst managers this season. Yeah, I wasn't here for that. And I think... Do you agree with Lewis saying Scott Parker has had a better season than Arteta? Absolutely not. Which is a bit annoying because he's not here for this one. So he can't... Because I feel like we're going to be swapped, isn't it? There were actually comments in the thing saying that might be the worst take of all time on pitch side. To be honest, it's aging pretty well. It is and pretty well now, yeah. Yeah, but we have to do it based off what we're like. No, but that wasn't his argument.

53:28Lewis was arguing. He thinks Arsenal... But that's an agenda. It's not. I didn't agree with him. We can't keep going over this. I didn't agree with him, but I understood his point. He was saying he believes that Arsenal are going to bottle it again and not win anything. Therefore, he's one of the top 10 worst managers in the league. It made sense. I don't agree with it, but it did make sense. It doesn't make sense to put him worse than Scott Parker. Again, I don't agree. I completely disagree with him. But what he was getting at did make sense. Just because you disagree with it doesn't mean it doesn't make sense.

55:17Yeah. They've been sacked for it. Yeah. Are we, sorry, we're including current or all of them? All of them. Okay, maybe like top eight then. How many have been sacked? Do you think there's a difference between, I know obviously we're basing it. By the way, can I preface this? I've done this list based on right now. Yeah, I've done this season. Because I feel like it's unfair to be like, oh, well, whatever happens. That's what I mean. I don't agree with Lewis's theory. okay, cool. I understood it. it's an interesting one isn't it because we're discussing obviously best and worst managers this season but objectively Arteta's still better manager than half these people that are in the same list does that make sense 100 % it's a fugazi yeah but also this the way I see this as well it's also it's like the top 10 of who are in the running for Premier League manager of the season yes I'm going to go first ok cool yeah you are correct though but that's how we should view it right in the order of Yeah, it's just as it stands, who's been the best manager?

56:16Pound for pound, that's all it is, isn't it? Yeah, okay. Right, 10th, I've gone Carrick, purely because of the amount of time. Yeah, I like that. I think he turned the club around. And also, they were fifth, weren't they, when he took over? Don't get me wrong, he has done a good job, and he's gone back to basics, and I was impressed how they defended against Chelsea, but yeah, I think he's done a good job. Do you think he'll still be there start next season? I'm actually not sure but if they've got anything about them they shouldn't they can't after what they said they can't just keep going back and forth I actually think over the last couple of weeks they've sort of proven why you shouldn't be there next season Leeds was poor on it do you know what I mean what do you mean well they're like losing to Leeds just a couple of results I just think yeah but that Chelsea game is a big win no it is a big win it is a big win I just don't it was with the personnel they had they shouldn't be winning that game yeah but they should have lost they were lucky in fairness Yeah, but ultimately that's football.

57:11Yeah, I understand. But when you're looking at it from like, what's the word? Like a bird's eye view of it. Like, yes, cool. It's all about results. I get it. They were poor against Chelsea. I thought they're great on the count and they were good in transition. But Chelsea should have put, they hit the ball, what, four times? Like Chelsea should have at least got a point, I think. But anyway. Yeah, no, I'm just saying like, when Carrick has his full level of personnel that he needs, I feel like United are just really good. So is he not a good manager at that point? Possibly, but then he... He's the 10th best manager of the season.

57:44They're also not juggling... I mean, yeah. I have him. He's only playing Premier League. Don't forget. I think that's a massive thing for next season. 9th, I've gone Silva. Yeah. 8th, I've gone Moyes. Yeah, I like that. 7th, I've gone Arteta. Yeah. 7th, Arteta. Yeah. That's fair. So if he wins it, does he... Well, that's different. He's top. I'm just giving you a hypothetical. He wins it. he's top I mean I'm basing this on the last month you'd have asked me this a month ago you'd have been the top three but ultimately the season isn't in fact you've probably been top two if you asked me a month ago a month and a half ago but yet again it's happening again I just can't have him any idea that's what I mean fast forward two three weeks time it's completely different but at the moment we have to go on what's the date today guys if I'd have offered you at the start of the season you've got five games to go you're in the semi-fifth of the Champions League and you're three points clear at the top of the table but City got a game in hand you just snapped my hand off exactly I think for this list especially there are teams low down in the league who are outperforming how they should be and that's due to them yeah but also the reason I do want to put Arteta in is because no one had Arsenal winning the league at the start of the season no one so it's very easy now obviously I've gotten lowish because of what's happened but the position they were in but at the start of the season everyone had Liverpool and City ahead of them so so do we yeah I do think he's half-punched.

59:10He's doing a good job. He's doing a good job so far, but now it matters. Now we'll see. I know there's obviously a huge talking point around it anyway, but for even Arsenal to be having the chats of we could win a quadruple at the start of the season, that was mental. No, no, no, but I'm saying as a fan base. I'll take a treble. As a fan base, do you know what I mean? Before the season started, to even be like, if we fast forward, there's going to be a position in this season where we'll be like, we're on for a quad. Yeah. I mean, yeah. Sixth, Iriola. Fifth. Sixth? Yeah. There's no way the ones above I can't have above.

59:46Oh, interesting. Keith Andrews, fifth. Daniel Fark, fourth. Reggie Labrie, third. Emery, second. Pep, first. Pep, first. He's just the best, isn't he? That's probably... Pep, first? Yeah, I think... Out of all competitions? Yeah, it was Premier League though, isn't it? Yeah, but everything else comes into play, doesn't it? That's why I would, that's why I tell you. Fair, fair. Like you look at your own Glasner and... I'll be honest, when I did this, I just naturally put Pep first. I didn't really think about it and I'll be honest, I'll probably, yeah, it's probably unfair having Pep first. I just think...

1:00:19Having said that, he's won the League Cup, he's in the FA Cup semis. They're on for a treble. They're on for a treble. Actually, yeah, what you want, they're only out of the Champions League. And they lost to Real Madrid. They're going to win the Premier, they're going to win the FA Cup. He's going to win a treble. Yeah, but that's, we're just predicting we can't do that for that they're the only team with the trophy this season yeah but that's what that's what I was arguing against why Arteta shouldn't be in the bottom yeah but okay but it's very it's very in my opinion it's very likely City go on and win a treble so I think a treble not the treble what was their objective at the start of the season to win a major competition probably is it not yeah I feel like it's just a bit of a default to go alright yeah I'll be honest that was probably lazy of me I probably wouldn't have Ultimately, Pep is the best manager in the league.

1:01:05That's what I think. Yeah, I know, he is. But this is a slightly different list. I feel like I've really thought about the others based on punching off the weight, blah, blah, blah. And then I've just instinctively put Pep first. So yeah, I don't mind being hammered for that. Did you have Emery in your top 10? Second. Second, yeah, I missed that. Semifinals of the Europa League. Yeah. Champions League again. Who did they sign? They barely signed anyone. Had a shocking start for the season. They don't think they signed anyone. Abraham. Abraham. By the way, I didn't even mention Sancho, but I gave away the ball twice for both Sunderland goals.

1:01:36Yeah, he's shit, mate. See you at last moment. Me or you? Go ahead mate mine's slightly different there's a couple of names that I admittedly I've got them probably too low but we'll have to discuss it 10th I've got Nuno at West Ham specifically don't mind that I genuinely don't mind that that's actually a good show well the rest I probably appreciate 9th I've got David Moyes obviously 8th Iriola but I know you're probably going to have him higher yeah that's fine this one I actually I am sorry but sometimes the football was, you know, at seventh I got Emery. I know he should be higher. That's probably a stick.

1:02:15That is very low. Yeah, because sixth I do have Carrick. Oh, what the flip? Yeah. Yeah, I don't know what you're thinking is there, buddy. Why? Because in my head I was done it off. I was doing it off the expectation of the manager going into the season whether or not they would succeed in the position they were. And I don't think people saw Carrick coming in and doing as well as he has done. and put Villa top four, top five, semi-fine. Yeah, I know, yeah. Maybe. What I mean is coming into this season, we all would say Emery's third slash second best manager in the Prem, right? Yeah, second. So this is kind of like, I know Aston Villa is a club we don't expect to be there but as an individual manager he is.

1:02:58I still think Emery's outperforming everything. I agree. I really think that's harsh. Villa should not be there. All the adversity they've had as well, the injuries, no signings to start the season. They started the season as well Didn't they lose They didn't score a goal They didn't score for like four games He called them out Turned it round Is it On the argument that we're doing it They don't have much depth We know he's like The second best manager In the Prem though isn't he So Still managing He's still exceeding His expectations Yeah I already admitted I think Villa At the start of the season I think I had Villa like Eighth Not even agenda I just thought they'd struggle With the two games Lack of depth No signings The thing with Carrick He's been good since he's come in but it was all he's playing the players in the right position yeah and also I know but I mean I think Carrick Carrick should be in the top 10 yeah yeah yeah he's not ahead of Emre and also yeah that's fair but I mean that's the issue I think the fact that my the stink is here Emre being too low not Carrick's above him right but my Carrick my Carrick argument is because stopping the rot was actually I know you say it's obvious like just play players in their position yeah I know but it could have it could have been worse.

1:04:08It could have got worse. And the fact that they're minimal going to be third slash fourth. Yeah, he's done a good job, but not as good as Emery's done. No, I know that part. I'm ready to concede that. I apologize. Yeah, no, sorry. Sorry, guys. Fifth Arteta, I don't think he makes the top three. I would have had him higher prior to yesterday, or prior to two weeks ago, but we have to look at it objectively. Fourth we've got Daniel Farker. Third, Reggie Labrie. Second Pep, and I think the best manager based on my expectations for the season and where I thought all the club would go etc. is Keith Andrews.

1:04:41Yeah. Fair. Very fair. No Areola? Yeah. Where? Eight. Wow. Yeah. Yeah, I like the Keith Andrews top shout. You didn't have Silver in, did you? That's the difference. No, I'd put Nuno West Ham. Yeah, that's a good shout. But the problem I have is, you know, obviously the Areola shout, Emery shout, etc. We objectively know they're really good managers so it's hard do you know what I mean do you know what's impressed me about Iriola is that they went through such a dodgy they dropped to like 14th didn't they yeah they didn't win in like 11 did they and then they sold their best player have I made that up fact check that they dropped like 14th they sold their best player and got better and just replaced him do you know what I mean it's a cog yeah it's brilliant 11 game winless run yeah some ball knowledge right there mate did they drop to 14th as well it's low as that yeah yeah they did yeah I think they went lower actually Yeah Shorty got low Low low low Go on then In 10 I got Carrick Yep In 9 I got MC Moyes I said MC Moyes Do we all have him in 9?

1:05:46I do mate I think Yeah I do mate He's just such a good manager isn't he Silverman He's actually just such a good manager He just knows that football club so well He wins that ball back so much Do you Does Again Looking back at the job he's done at West Ham Do you think they and Mee and Muspy going why the hell we're pushing them out well if they're not they should yeah crazy yeah but also the trajectory that they're on moving forward next year with Nuno is actually not a bad result for them I know I know you know zigzagged in order to get to that position but like next season if they survive which they probably should do at this point that's a decent manager to run in too soon mate on that it's still tight only one point at the moment they should No, I said they might.

1:06:33That's what he said they should. If they stay up, if they should. Oh, done. A quick one and more is in Everton. Whatever happens this season, do you think he'll get them European football again? Eventually. So hard to tell. Every season is so different. You don't know what club's going to do well. I think they'll get European football this year. Yeah. Do you? Yeah. Especially with dudes who are all coming back from injury and playing how well he is. Do you know what I mean? I think they're going to finish 7th. Even the former Beto as well. I think they're going to finish 7th or 6th. I think it'll be...

1:06:59Why would you say it like that? because you're a child yeah I still think I think it'll be Chelsea in Everton it would be good to see you be in football at Everton yeah I agree that deserves it isn't it yeah I agree it's a good stadium for Europe where they belong guys in eight I got Marco Silva I think I know they're only in 12 but they could easily be in a lot of people had Fulham struggling no signings again in the summer he's done a really good job there he has good January's though good January signings yes he's made Harry Wilson Pele similar to Tom I would have Do you think he'll keep Silva?

1:07:31I'm amazed no club's gone in for him because he's not like, you know, like your Franks and your Nuno's where they just don't suit bigger clubs because their style of football. I think Silva's football could suit a bigger club. Isn't he like the second longest server manager in the league as well? He's got to be, yeah. He's not far off. See him at Chelsea? West London? They won't hire him. Or what, because of his... He's not a yes man, is he? Gary O 'Neill will be next to... I could see Marco Silva going back into Europe somewhere. I could see Marco Silva at somewhere like Newcastle. Yeah. And similar to you, Tom, I would, up until three or four weeks ago, I probably had this guy top three.

1:08:09At the moment, I've got him in seven. Arteta. Oh, my God. He's an absolute turncoat. He's going against his manager. That's absolutely not what I'm saying. Do you not have to do it based on now, though? Yeah, and he's not doing it right now. You've thrown away a fucking massive lead at the top. Lost to Southampton. Yeah. What do you mean? That does count for something. You keep holding on to this Champions League run, mate. fucking Sheffield United would have got to the semi-finals if we go on to win the Champions League final I'm not like Lewis where I'm predicting things by the way I'm actually doing it now if we go on to win the Champions League final in the Premier League he's the best manager in the league either the best season yes yeah of course there's every chance he'd do that and I believe he will do that so if we did this list again in the summer I'd have him number one do you reckon right let's say I think that's fair because ultimately it does after this many after this long without a trophy I don't know if I can but it does come down to trophies now and results.

1:08:58Can I ask you a question? Arsenal win the league but go out to Atleti. Sunderland finish seventh. Who's been the better manager? Arteta. Yeah. A hundred percent. And that's nothing but that's not taking away of Reggie Lebrun. I agree. I was just wondering. I think, well you'll see my list in a second. In five I do have Pep. Only club with the trophy this season. Thief. Yeah, I just rate what these other guys are doing more than him. Really quickly. Is this expected? Yeah, but that's so... Pep is the best manager in the league that's my argument for Emery Pep is the best manager in the league I know but I'm trying to base it on this season you just cooked me for that and I said yeah I'll take the L I didn't cook you for that I've been putting Carrick above him no but they're about to go top of the league they're probably going to win the FA Cup they've already won the league cup yeah I know but Pep number one is just like four I'm not saying he should be one but five is a lot you've got to listen to the four I've got above him alright go on really quickly I wanted to ask you there would you two rather win the Premier League or the Champions League?

1:09:57Premier League. If you had a choice. Premier League. Champions League. Really? I'd rather win the Premier League. I'd go Premier League as well. Premier League. But you're bread and butter, isn't it? Like right now, right now, Premier League because of what's happened in the last four years. Why would you rather Champions League, Reeve? Best one. That's a good, that's a good argument to be fair, but... 20 years, it's been 20 years. Champions of Europe? Champions of Premier League. I do always think, like obviously, the European Cup is obviously the most prestigious trophy in club football and obviously you do have to be amazing to win it or one of the best teams the best team doesn't always win the Champions League do you know what I mean?

1:10:36Premier League's the hardest trophy to win I feel like the Premier League's more like I don't want to say but I feel like you're the best team in the country you play more games there you go you're the best team in the country no I know I know the argument for both I think winning a first Champions League is just so much the difference The difference is next season, right? Say we win the Champions League and not the Premier League. We still haven't got over the fact we haven't won the Premier League. Yeah, but then we'd be Champions... Yeah, but if you've won the Champions League, that is getting over the line.

1:11:04I don't know. The argument is we haven't got over the line. We have in the bigger tournament, the Champions of Europe. Yeah. I still take the Prem though. Yeah, that's fine. That's personal preference. But I think winning the first Champions League for Arsenal would be... That makes a lot of sense, Oliver. Thanks. So... You're up to Pep. Pep Why do his lists Always take 30 minutes Because we've had Loads of discussions In between Sorry I'm a bit cranky In four I've got Daniel Farker I think no one expected To see how they're doing I actually think This bloke Probably is a bit hard I'd actually have him lower If I read this list tomorrow Irreola in three But then again I just think What he's doing With Ormus Is just brilliant They're in eighth That's not that crazy So maybe it's not crazy He's leaving At the end of the month At the end of the season Yeah where's he going Well that's what I was going to add Newcastle Where's he going B, De Bournemouth recover.

1:11:57Yeah. Who did I see they were lined up with? It's the used to manage Leipzig, didn't he? Yeah. Rosa or something. Where's Australia favourite to go? Have a look. I think Iriola will go to Liverpool. Ooh. Do you? Ooh, I like that. That's who I think he'll go to. Because you think Slott is going to go. I think they'll shake hands with Slott at the end of the season and go, thanks for everything you've done. And I think they'll go and get a Riola. Interesting. Personally. Because I know there's this love in Mishabi Alonso, but I don't know. I'm not sure. Everyone keeps saying this connection, but does he want the job?

1:12:37Alonso? Yeah. Yeah, I reckon does. Probably, I think. Two, Keith Andrews. One, Reggie Libri. Interesting. Why do you think Libri's had the best season out of every manager in the team? Mate, they're 11. They win one game, they go up to six, and everyone put them down. Everyone. They shouldn't be where they are. But they are. I think what he's done is phenomenal. The same goes for Keith Andrews, by the way. Everyone fought after. They were hacked left, right, and center. Now they've got the second best drive. By the way, he's a set-piece coach. He's not. That was just in name. But do you know what I mean?

1:13:19and defensively they're one of the best from set pieces in the league I think they actually are the best at defending set pieces in the league probably that wouldn't surprise me he's just done a brilliant and he's got a really nice tan I don't know if you noticed that the weekend Albion legend so there you go yeah I don't mind it yeah I think did you have first sorry Reggie Labrie but I don't mind the Keith Andrews being first no Reggie Labrie is just you can't have Andrews above Labrie Labrie What if they get sick? Who? Sunderland. Brentford. It depends. Yeah, but then that's predicting, isn't it, again?

1:13:54We're doing that thing again. No, but you just said if Sunderland are only two points away from it. Yeah, but I'm saying they are currently 11th. They shouldn't be there, really, should they? I just think the reason Labrie is so impressive is they've hardly kept any players that start every week from the... They signed so many players. And to get that to gel and work, and not work, thrive, they could genuinely get Europe. Yeah. Yeah. And actually you're going to see, I think you're going to see like a few of their players get bought over the summer. And also like you said, everyone had Sunderland down.

1:14:28Everyone. Yeah. Sunderland even had Brentford down. But that's why he's first for me. Yeah. From a personal perspective. Yeah, that makes sense. Any names that you thought might make up that didn't quite... Herzler? He's done all right. I just, I don't feel like he's outdone what I expect. Do you know what I mean? Maybe that's harsh, but... if Pereira keeps Forrest up would he be in there? No. And got them Europa League semi-final? I think if anyone's going to be in there it'd be Nuno. It's an interesting argument. I know for the club themselves they wouldn't say it but as a neutral if Palace won their two games in hand they'd be what?

1:15:02Eighth? Well and also with the Glasner argument they could also get another European trophy. Exactly. Exactly. So maybe there is an argument for Glasner but obviously Palace fans wouldn't. They haven't been great though this season. And they would expect to win that trophy I think as well. Yeah. and all the shit going on off the pitch with Vazman I mean but they also have he's gotten to Europe the Conference League semi-final having lost their two best players oh no Will but come on like Albion would do well in that like don't go too far mate no yeah probably he's probably the only other name that would be worth mentioning yep on that note guys let us know your thoughts in the comments down below and leave your top 10 in the comments down below it's really nice to have just like a normal argument a normal sort of discussion there Les isn't it Eddie Howe is like the best manager of the season Do you reckon he'd have put him top 10?

1:15:49100 % Not at this point now Not this season he would not I tell you he wouldn't have Arteta in there He was in the bottom 10 He can't have him both Right now guys We are going to do a tier list Of the 25 most valuable players in the Premier League Based on their transfer market Price So for example Bruno Fernandes is not in this list But we're going to either then rank them overrated or underrated. Sorry. Boyce Fernando's not in the news. You know when you talk about value? He's not valued in the most 25. So this is like transfer market top valued player. The most expensive players according to their market value.

1:16:29I think Bruno would go for about 80 million still. I know he's old. Yeah, I agree. That's your market value, not transfer. I could see Bruno just going Barcelona with the other old players. Yeah, like all the oldies. Like Pedri and Gabi? No, I, yeah. Gabby? No, Gabby. Right, should we start from Cunha? So are we basing it based on what their value is? Yes. We're saying they're basically overpriced or underpriced? No, overrated or underrated. Overpriced or underpriced? It is, isn't it? So are we just basing it? Or is it as a footballer? As a footballer, they're overrated or underrated? Okay, fair enough.

1:17:08Right. Yeah. This is going to be an interesting... I don't think Cunha's... I don't think he's either. so I'll let you take one or the other underrated if we have to pick a side verging on underrated I think he's he's appreciated more by people that watch him week in week out I love Cunha but really if we're trying to be I don't know objective he's not overrated though is he no I don't think he's either but is he more overrated than underrated I think he's more underrated is he I think so yeah because he's got eight goals and two assists that's not like crazy is he don't get me wrong I love Cunha I think he's more than goals I'm looking forward overrated now valued at 70 million euros I think I'd edge overrated yeah what well he's not underrated is he but he's not getting the goals and assists that he should be getting I know he's had a few injury problems why not he's part of a what's the word no yeah like yeah but Mbemo is a successful front three isn't he you know I personally don't think he's either but if we have to choose I'd go with overrated slightly So you think Kunio's overrated?

1:18:13Is that what you're saying? It would appear so. Timber, I think he's underrated.

1:18:22You just look at how Arsenal was, you know. Yeah, I don't like that. I'll go with you. If you want underrated. Yeah, he's underrated. And just what he does. They have missed him, haven't they? When he's not there. We severely missed him. Simeon. Oh, God, what? This is going to be so hard. I'd go overrated for Simeon. I'd go underrated. I think he's great but I think he's just having a good I think he's having a great season No I think I think that's wrong I think he's one of the best players in the Premier League That's mental Is it? I think so yeah I think he's really good I think that's it I think when we did this it's similar in before we signed for City didn't we He's great Serenio's great but That's what I mean Oh no that's why I think he's overrated because you think he's one of the best players in the league I think he's like just really good I mean I'll put him best winger in the Premier League Who's better than him?

1:19:10Yeah do you know what I mean? Bruno, Haaland As a winger Rodri No maybe not Rodri Rice As a winger As a winger Who did we do the other week? Saka I think I had Saka in and Did I have him? You can't knock Semenya this season I definitely had Semenya first I remember that So Yeah mate Semenya's great But He's not underrated is he? He's just got a massive move to City Like And hit the ground running by the way Yeah Yeah He's been good He's a good player G-star I'm putting underrated I don't think he's either, to be honest. But if I had to lean, I'd go over. I vote under. Reeve. Does he vote what?

1:19:47Deciding factor. I'll go over. So, once again, you're on the fence. Yeah, what is this about, mate? Fuck. I'll go underrated. I think he's brilliant. Yeah. Bruno G. Oh, well, it depends if someone else is on the panel right now. Again, I don't think he's either. I think everyone knows how good he is. Yeah. Easy as good as everyone thinks. But yeah, maybe. No. I don't think he is. I think, if we have to pick a side for him, I think he's verging on over. I mean, we're talking about at one point in the season he's getting compared to the, like, Declan Rice. And the best midfielders in the world. The Declan Rice.

1:20:25No, I was about to say the best midfielders in the world. We've got to take Lewis's opinion with a pinch of salt, though. I think Lewis overrates him, but he's a very good player. Yeah, he does, but we're talking about the general consensus. It's not saying he's not an incredible footballer. In fairness, Newcastle have fallen off a cliff without him. Exactly. But then he did come on at the weekend. And then they conceded. Do you think he'll be a Newcastle player starting next season? Who can afford him? He's quite old, isn't he? Is he 28? He's quite young, actually. I think he'll be there next season.

1:20:59Let me have a think. Do I think? I think he will. I think he'll be there. Because I think they'll sell to Nali. Yeah, there's too many players elsewhere that they'll sell, right? Yep. So I'm going to... I mean, my opinion's biased because we listened to someone talk about him week in week out. I think he has to be overrated. I'd edge overrated. Yeah. But he's a great friend of the show as well. Yeah. Gabriel. Gabriel. I think he's great, but again, I think I'd edge overrated. I don't think he's overrated. I actually agree with that. I think he's becoming a bit overrated at the minute. People are having too much of this conversation of him being remarkably better than Saliba, and I feel like, you know, saw games like yesterday where...

1:21:35They're both just as good as each other. Yeah, exactly. Yeah, they're different as well. They're like yin and yang, aren't they? Yeah. I will say, though, if you're a forward, you do not want to come up against Gabriel. You know how there's physicality and everything like that? Yeah, he loves for that. I know Harlan loves it, but anyone else, you just get bullied. Yeah. Can you actually imagine playing against him? He'd squash you. Might be fucking awful. No, he wouldn't squash him, mate. He broke my arm. Yeah, I'm fucking fat. Look at me. He's tough as fuck. Gabriel. I'm not going to... over yeah just for the conversations around him I think he's slightly over Chau Pedro over yeah got a lot of goals this year yeah I think yeah I know that's what makes me again I think he also went through a period of like no goals in seven I think he's overrated but people will say he's scoring lots do you know what I mean he also wasn't Watkins but even yeah Chau Pedro is very streaky and he has like yeah quite purple patchy I think he's a good player but I think if I had to choose one and go overrated yeah overrated Morgan Rodgers damn I'm surprised he's not valued higher in this list financially 80 million euros he's valued he goes more than that is he not borderline overrated I mean based on this season based on how poor he was for a couple of months yeah absolutely it's mental I don't think he's either I just think he's great I think most of these are just great but we're talking about we're saying he should be England's starting number 10.

1:23:04He's better than Palmer, this and that. Yeah. Is that not a bit, we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves there? That's what I mean. I think if you're a Bellingham fan, you're going to think Rodgers is overrated. Bellingham's proven on the biggest stages and everyone's still saying Rodgers is overrated. Oh my God, you did have a very kick, didn't you? I forgot about that. Yeah. I verge on over, to be honest. Over! Oh my God, Rodgers is overrated. Oh God. What are we doing? But there's been games, like a lot of the games this season where he has just gone completely missing. Yeah. And when he's supposed to be the talisman for the club he's at.

1:23:35He's not underrated, is he? He starts for England, starts for Villa. Everyone rates him. Okay, okay. Estaval. And where does he please football next year? Villa. You off? Still think Villa. Yeah. Champions League football. Maybe you're up league trophies. Enough to keep him. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, my G, my slime. Estaval. I think he's underrated. I think he's special. Yeah, I agree. He's actually quite an easy one to choose between the lines of. because the conversation around him yet isn't too excessive. Yeah. You know what I mean? He's not the finished article just yet. That's what I mean. No one's going, oh, he's the most amazing player in the world.

1:24:12Yeah, so the converse are starting to happen around him. But then we are actually overrating him right now. He's the future of Brazilian football. Is that underrating someone? I think he'll be at Real Madrid within three years. Yeah, I agree. Exactly. Underrating. But that's... You might be overrating him right now. I might be, but I don't think I am. I think underrated about underrated do you think next season's the season where we see him yeah well it depends if Chelsea don't get in Europe get out of Chelsea mate you've got to have Real Madrid this summer right especially with Rodrigo do you know what I mean I think he'll definitely get way more game time next year though so that's when you'll see I think he'll actually leave Chelsea for Real Madrid this summer next year this summer yeah I don't think this summer it depends if they get Europe Europe McAllister I'm going to edge overrated a lot of talk about him last year he's been poor this season really poor I don't think he's been poor he's been Mr.

1:25:02Consistent I think Manacalas has been poor this season Liverpool have been poor though he's part of that yeah Sabosla hasn't been poor yeah he's got a point I do like his new skinhead though he got in like Buzzcutt looks good on him didn't he get like in team of the year last year and now he's fucking scrubbing the under 18's boots I don't know why I said that what's on your mind doesn't even make sense I'm surprised he's valued that much you know it's because he's quite young isn't he he's young 27 valued at 80 million euros seems quite expensive for McAllister World Cup winner I believe he's one of the best players that season yeah over he did make the Premier League team this season yeah and now he's fallen off a cliff this year I'd go over put it in whip it in boy Philip Foden he's got to be over yeah I mean we have to put him Come on, man.

1:26:02Philip. Philip. Talent only gets you so far, man. You've got to do it consistently. It's actually crazy the drop-off is had from middle of the season. Not even that. It wasn't electric. It's also confidence is a massive thing in players. I know this is a bit of a cliche, but I think people do forget they are humans. They're no difference with us. And I think he's a massive confidence player for Odin. Do you think we'll see Phil Foden Hit the heights That we once saw him Do again at Manchester City Well how old is he He's still like 19 I have a theory Phil Foden Go on I think he goes to Barcelona In the summer He's such a Barca coded He's 25 by the way Yeah I think he'll go to Barcelona I just think I think it'll do him Good to get out of City He's been there all his life He's kind of stagnating there Can't get in the team Are they getting Yeah He should stay Are they getting in They've got the option but I was listening to Ray the other day and I don't think they want him Barca apparently yeah I think the only well yeah but he's not I think Alex Krook was saying he's not going back to Man United like definitely not the problem with Foden is that Barca have like quite a good level of forward midfielders attacking midfielders yeah but he can play anywhere can't he that's the thing with Foden he's a really good I think that'd be very good for his career to get out of England and go Barcelona agreed yeah but I still think over 8 if we're doing that over yeah sadly Tonali now we have to do this objectively not how he's overrated I'd go a bit I really like Tonali but I think he's becoming overrated what happens if he goes to Arsenal underrated I've been disappointed with him not taking the shackles off Bruno while he's same here I mean again it was only a few months when we talked about Tonali being like the best midfielder in the league and all this and that and like come on now come on now but that's just part of the show though isn't it now there's a lot of discourse online like he's not even here to represent respected Paul Scholes multiple Premier League winner yeah over I agree I think he's slightly over but again I think he's in the middle it's not like a over he's been linked to Arsenal yeah yeah we'll take him we'll take a treble yeah we'll take a treble Ali and Rice mate over Emblemo I feel like he's I think the biggest issue with Emblemo is he's been played at striker I'm gonna go over just I'm gonna go over but he's not he's not an out and out number nine is he that's his big that's the biggest problem that he's had at Man United people forget people forget man he is he has just come from Brentford yeah for and he's doing well at United yeah he's actually kicked on he doesn't look out of place at all yeah yeah it's such a big club he's actually gelled straight away isn't he do you know what I'm saying bro I verge on under because I think he's great.

1:28:56I think potentially he's underrated, yeah. But it depends what the... I'd go over, but... He scores a lot of goals as well. Yeah, he's good. He's really good. Yeah, he's part, mate. Do you know what I mean? Hardest geezer. I think underrated. Hardest geezer. He actually basically is... Yeah. Now, Zubamendi, I mean, we're talking about he's the most underrated signing of the season in January. We did that, right? No, we were saying one of the signings of the season, yeah. Yeah. Since then... I think he's living off that, though. He's been poor recently. I think he's slightly underrated. over please what do you reckon as a second Arsenal fan drop zone two please Ben I actually yeah I would agree he's he's not held the standards that he started the season with but I suppose that's just happening throughout the team isn't it it's just that's what you see across the season peaks and troughs dips and highs yeah but we're doing it the wrong part yes over underrated I think he's phenomenal I think he's becoming overrated oh Oh, he's injured.

1:29:52Well, he's going to be out for nine plus months, isn't he? Yeah. I think he was starting to become quite... He's eighth, top third, fifth. Overrated. He's scored 11 goals. Scrolling up to the top, Will. Jokic has got more Premier League goals. Jokic has more Premier League goals than Ekotike. Goal conversion is 17%. That's my point. Jokic is underrated. Great for a striker, is it? I think Jokic might be underrated, but that's not a question, is it? I mean, he's... Yeah, his goals... Statistically... yeah maybe he is overrated he's got the same goal per night as Welbeck yeah he's got the same goal conversion as Calvert-Lewin mate just he's cool though is it because he's like a cool football yeah and I think he's French and he's like he's he's got like dyed hair and he's got that like we all spoke about him he's got that three weeks after the season started we said a couple of us said he was the best signing of the summer he's had quite a few dry patches though but no what I mean is he's we can look objectively now and say he's not yeah so that would be overrated yeah over But over.

1:30:50Grab the best. Under. He's not had a good season. He hasn't. He's been all right lately though, actually. I'm going to go with. He was in team of the season last year as well. He's only 23. He's only 23. Yeah, he's young, man. I don't think he's either. This is tough. Yeah. 90 million euro. I'll let you two decide. I think he's underrated. I'll go under. Do you think he's under as well? I think he's underrated. I'll go under. The fact that I don't know how young he was as well. Can't go over it. This is an interesting one because I think he's actually been alright this season. He's been one of their best players.

1:31:21I think Enzo's underrated, yeah. I don't like him, but... It's not his fault he's worth£100 million. But that's the problem, isn't it? People still... Whenever you talk about Enzo, you go, £100 million. Whenever he doesn't play, Chelsea are even worse. He's also added, like, them, like, runs into the box into his game. He can play in the 10 or the 8. It doesn't really matter where he plays. Or in the double pivot. Yeah, do you know what I mean? He's still just as good as... Under. Not factoring his price. Do you think he'll be

1:31:47I think Romage will buy everyone. I think they would do the Galacticos again. Saliba. I have a theory on this. Oh, here we go. I think he's now underrated. I agree. Because of Gabriel. They can't both be in the same category, that's my opinion. I agree. One's got to be in the other one. Underrated, please! Will! I concur with that theory. I think that's a great hypothesis. Yeah. So Boz Light. Oh, this is a horrible one. He has been Liverpool's best player. He has to be underrated, surely. We're not overrating him by saying he's Liverpool's best player. we're not overrating him but that's a fact yeah I think he's underrated he has to be underrated I think so he's neither based on how he came into this season and no one had any expectations of him being the main man for Liverpool considering how many main men they had last season it's quite a surprise many men good at free kicks underrated I think he is I'll go with you too I'm neither on that alright Isaac overrated yeah overrated people saying he's the best strike in the league he's not come on man there were a lot of people saying it weren't just Lewis in fairness is he top three strikers in the Premier League no are we so therefore he is but will we get to a point where we actually start to underrate him now wait who's better your Chris don't be serious Harland who's the three better I don't know Welbeck Harland and are you on drugs this season yeah that is true this season you think Welbeck's a better striker than Isaac no this season I think he has been that's not what I'm asking you I need to see I need to see Isaac's got a lot to prove to me to be honest so both Liverpool strikers we're going to put in overrated do you think Isaac turns his Liverpool career around now yeah yeah he does yeah he's got to stay fit hasn't he he's going to perform well for Liverpool now oh yeah sure Salah's leaving Ekertiki's injured he actually might he actually might have a big World Cup as well with Potter with Graham Graham Graham Over Yeah Who's going to start up front for Sweden Isak or Jokeres Probably the striker Who can score So Isak Do they not play together Do they not I swear the front three Isak missed the whole season Kulishev doesn't exist No he doesn't But still I'm going to go overrated Overrated The hype Just like He shows glimpses But he's too lightweight Yeah I agree He's overrated Do you think he'll perform better next season?

1:34:15Do you think? Maybe. Probably. A summer under his belt, getting stronger. The signings will work out for Liverpool in the end. I think his biggest issue is just the physicality of the league, right? Yeah, because he's not good in Europe. A lot of players that come in Europe, a lot of players that come over from Europe do take a season to sort of... That is true. That is very true. This is classic Premier League football, guys. Over. Overrated. Kai Sado. Oh, he's near. Yeah, he's near. I tell you, wait, one sec, Thomas, because we're talking about the best midfielder in the league. He is one of, though.

1:34:47He is. He's quality, man. Pete Caisado. He's so good. When was the last time he was Pete Caisado? November. He played all right, didn't he, actually? Are we overrating him? Oh, fuck. We might be. He's still great, though, isn't he? Is he? Gives the ball away quite a lot. But he also wins that ball. Oh, well. I'll go. That picture of Palmer's dick. I don't know. Yeah, this is really difficult. I think I say they might be overrated. Because he's definitely not underrated. Yeah, I think I agree with you. He's not underrated. But it feels dirty saying it. It does. Spank me. Some of them just aren't either though, are they?

1:35:30Over. I've got Chelsea fans sitting next to me, Conor, and he retains under. Underrated. I should say that. I don't think he can be underrated. because he has been How can he be underrated when we say he's the best Premier League midfielder? And based on his form the last four or five months he hasn't been well this year he hasn't been his normal great Like we're talking about we're comparing Rice and Kaisada the whole season two best midfielders in the league He's the best sixth You can't by saying yeah you can't say this guy's the best sixth in the league and call it underrated Yeah You can You just got mugged Yeah Right over Yeah fair yeah fair point there Palmer I think you'd have to go overrated based on this season.

1:36:11How many games is it now? Or like minutes since his last play goal? I've got no idea. Wasn't it like a thousand minutes or something? What's that? One thousand. Palmer's last open play goal or like this season. His level of open play goals. It's really bad anyway statistically. Yeah. He was, I must admit, Saturday, he was better. He showed glimpses of his normal self. But yeah, he's not fit, is he? Not in that way. I think he's definitely overrated, yeah. Out of the two. Is Saka now? Saka, this is interesting. Is he becoming underrated? I was just about to say the same thing. I think he might be becoming underrated.

1:36:57I think he's been really, really wildly disrespected this season. So do I. Don't get me wrong, he hasn't performed to his normal level. But you look at the way Arsenal's attack have dropped. Since we don't have him. He's the only world-class fraud we probably do have. I see, but then again, you say that. He's been nowhere to be seen for most of the season. You just contradicted himself. That's what I mean. I think I now disagree with myself. Oh, my God. I think he's overrated. I actually think he's underrated because of what we've just discussed. I know, but then surely we expect him to step up.

1:37:30But he's been injured. Yeah. Yeah, but even when he's played, Theo, we can't just... He scores when he plays. Theo performance wise do you think Saka's been good this season he's not been himself no but he's still got 9GA in the Premier League that's shocking well you don't start going against yourself that's shocking for the apparently the only world class striker in the attack for the team that's top of the league he's played five games what I verge on overrated I think underrated it's overrated why do you think underrated Theo I've just said Do you think if he comes back to full fitness At his best you win the league Yeah Yeah I think from when he's played We just need more from him though That's my logic Over Declan Rice

1:38:27This is a tough one He's underrated Because he's the best date in the league Is he underrated let me think He's the best date in the league but you said Caicedo it's the best six it has to be overrated I think Declare Rice is also is he the best eight in the league though who's better Sir Bozlai he's not I think there's an argument for Sir Bozlai I think if you're picking what's a good argument here if you do like the best Premier League draft right Rice would be the first two or three picks Reeves sorry to contrary your argument with Caicedo there The difference is that Kayser's levels have dropped, whereas Rice hasn't dropped.

1:39:09He has the last few weeks. He has, you know, the last few weeks. He hasn't been his normal top self. That's not, of course, the whole of the season. We're not talking months here. If you're going to do that, that's like a two-week period. It's a bit different to months of not going. Yeah, but you know what I mean? Ultimately, he has been... Rice hasn't... No, it's been a good few weeks. Rice hasn't been playing well. Up to his standard. I think he's a bit burnt out, to be honest. Do you think the argument in favour of Sabozlai is that he's a bit more of a match winner he kind of grabs the games by the balls doesn't he and just says I'm going to win this I'm going to get a goal Do you think Rice does that as well he galvanises the team a lot though he's a lot more Yeah but he doesn't have the ability to go and win a game on his own do you know what I mean Scored in the night of Minican Slavikusen Well alright Casimiro does that as well but they're not like Declan Rice you wouldn't class a match winner would you Do you class Declan Rice as a match winner?

1:40:01He did against Real Madrid in the Champions League last year. That isn't the question I'm asking. But you're asking for moments and there has been moments. I'm not asking for moments. I'm asking, do you consider Declan Rice a match winner? I do. If anyone's going to step up and score a last minute winner for Arsenal, I see it as Declan Rice. I think he tries to. When has he ever done that? I just think of two reasons. Man United at home. How many more options do you want? I want quite, if you're a match winner, it should be quite often. Yeah. Think about the closest against Chelsea to make it 2-1.

1:40:29the closest English comparison we get all the time is Steven Gerrard and Gerrard just literally drive Liverpool over the line you could list off 15 examples off the top of the head of Gerrard winning the game for his team like okay Declan Rice has done that but we're not considering how far back we go in yeah but every time I make an argument there's always a no I'm far back no too soon too this that I'm listening off examples when you're doing it and everything's irrelevant so what do you want me to do not argue and make a valid point and get told everything's irrelevant or just sit here and like but I don't think it's a valid point I think I think you both have the correct argument because he does win matches but Tom just wants he has won matches but what me personally I consider a match winner someone who wins matches often like Haaland like a Semenyo like like Sabozlai like Salah he wins matches he just doesn't do it frequently no he has won matches it's very rare Declan Rice is a match it's not his position I don't expect him to by the way at all Deca Ramos shouldn't be Arsenal's match winner yeah I agree it shouldn't it shouldn't have to fall on his shoulders he tries to do it but that's not necessarily his role 100 % fucking Saka should be your match winner yeah so what are we saying oh sorry did he go against Bournemouth to win yeah I know he did I know yeah I remember his brace yeah you ask for an example I didn't ask for an example I didn't ask for an example he did no I didn't when did he even be a match winner and I'm listing off examples you've given me about three examples over the space of five years this is exactly what I'm saying Sol Campbell scored winners he's not a match winner is he he's done it doesn't do it frequently enough for him to think he's a match winner do you see what I mean well that's why I think he's underrated why go on why because you think he's overrated I don't think he's overrated I think yeah but half of these half of these people don't fall into either category he's the first one of the first names on the team sheet for England yeah Declan Roche is amazing I haven't even said if I think he's over or under to be honest but he's not a match winner I think if you're doing a like a Premier League draft you pick him second, third, fourth maybe out of the entire league so that's got to be underrated hasn't it?

1:42:41there you go no I didn't give my answer originally what is your answer? I don't know I think he's quite possibly the best midfielder in the world and I've said this already so I think he's in he's overrated then if you're saying that what? Deacon Rice he's not the best midfielder in the world he didn't say that He said he thinks he's the best midfielder in the world. He's one of them. I said quite possibly he's one of the best midfielders in the world. Okay, well, I think he's overrated then. I wouldn't even have him in probably the top five. What? At number eight in the world? Yeah, I think Pedri, Vitinha.

1:43:10What? Pedri and Vitinha are miles ahead of Declan Rice. Yeah, but that still puts him in the convo of being one of the best. Yeah, fair enough. He probably is one of, but I still want to see... Who's another two? Who else is there about? Actually, another three. Bruno Fernandes. he's not an 8 you wouldn't consider him an 8 would you but I suppose he can I think Subozla is better than Rice damn Daniel well who's the other two Subozla is number 3 he's 8th in the world I'm thinking possibly João Neves has got a shout PSG one of the best teams who plays him with Phil for Bayern he's in and around but I think there's comfortably I think there's comfortably 3 or 4 better than him You've only named three.

1:43:56I don't know what this little game is you're doing. The point is, Tom, is that you're disagreeing with him and then you can't argue your point. Yeah, because we've been over this. Valverde? Because you ask me to do this all the time and then I give valid reasons. No, you don't give any valid reasons. You just talk shit about match winners from four years ago for West Ham. Tom, would you have Valverde better than Rice? Yes, Miles better. There's another one. But the thing is, the gap... I'm just intrigued by your thinking. I'm intrigued what you're trying to do here. I don't get it. I'm trying to explain my point the gap between and then you do that oh no you're triggered I'm trying to explain I didn't say that you're getting little prods Vitinha is miles ahead of Declan Rice Valverde is miles ahead of Declan Rice Pedri is levels above Declan Rice do you not agree?

1:44:38I think Pedri is yeah so therefore even just those I don't even know if he's levels above I think Declan Rice is in the conversation that's all that Reeve was saying you disagreed with him and then he didn't say it like that he didn't say it as broad as that He didn't say it as broad as that. He's like, I think he's possibly one of the best midfielders in the world. I don't think he's close to that because those three or four are level above him. Do you think that if you're one of the best, if not the best eight in the Premier League, that would put you in one of the best midfielders in the world?

1:45:05No, because I've just explained. There's four way better outside the Premier League. Just because you're the best player in the Premier League doesn't make you the best player in the world, does it? I didn't say that. I think for the particular conversation around Rice, Arsenal and West Ham fans would say underrated, but the rest of the Prem, I think, would say overrated. I don't think he's either but I'd edge it overrated for the fact that I think some people do think he's the best midfielder in the world which I just think he's crazy okay well I think he's underrated if you two have said under he's under oh yeah I think I think he is but then again we're both Arsenal fans yeah that's fine it's a democracy sure and then adding Harland underrated just to let you know Rice, Saka are valued at 120 million euros Harland is valued 200 million Jesus he's like what 24 still you would pay 200 mil for him though in this market 25 he's underrated I think he's underrated we're seeing Messi Ronaldo level of goal output yeah again the only other the only two players in the last 20 years I guess Suarez perhaps but who have got that same output is Mbappe and Haaland I mean he's going to break the if he stays long enough he's going to break the all time Premier League goals 108 goals and 128 28 games in the league 158 goals and 192 in all competitions He's normalised that rate of scoring in the Prem I think that alone probably makes him underrated Yeah But what do you reckon?

1:46:30A lot of us say it's obviously you know when we did the all-time 11s and whatnot we say it's obviously Aguero over Haaland obviously Yeah I didn't think Yeah Do you know what I mean? Yeah As a player But do you know what I mean though there's the for that output Yeah he's a freak Again, I don't think he... I wouldn't be comfortable saying over or underrated, so I'll let you two decide. I'm going to cop out. Well, the start of the season, we saw a different side of his game that he's just getting better and better. I know towards the middle... He's kind of picked up again a little bit recently, but the middle of the season, he fell off from the standards that he had.

1:47:10His fall off is still top goals. That's what I mean. Him having an off-season and people going, oh, he's not very good, is he? he's at 23 goals in 30 games more than last season total yeah I personally think he's underrated people think oh he's just a goal scurrer but his build up play is brilliant his hold up play is brilliant the way he can dribble with the ball and run at defenders he's just a complete striker he bullied Gabriela who's meant to be one of the best centre-ass in the world as well yeah that was a good battle but that also doesn't that doesn't just because you're amazing doesn't make you underrated do you know what I mean I can't put Harland overrated I think everyone in the world I think everyone agrees is he's the best striker in the world other than Kane.

1:47:48No, you think Mbappe. No, I'm about general consensus. Oh, right. Yeah, and Mbappe. So I don't know. I don't think he's either, so I'm struggling with this. I feel weird calling him underrated when everyone thinks he's underrated. I also feel like calling Erling Haaland overrated is just crazy. But he could be underrated because as good as he is, maybe we don't realise how good... You look back at the levels of his output and be like, fucking hell, he's actually better than we even think. Yeah. True, but then there are arguments to call him overrated. He does stat pad against the lower teams often.

1:48:21Again, I'm not saying I think he's overrated. But then he scores a winner against Arsenal in the biggest game of the season. True, but he does go missing a lot, Haaland. Yeah. Do you know what I mean? That is a fair point. And I think everyone agrees he's by far the best striker in the Prem, doesn't they? Oh, yeah. So I just feel weird calling him underrated if everyone agrees. Do you know what is weird? Is that, you know this off-season he's had this year, right? Yeah, quite and quite. He's got six more goals than last season, four more assists than last season. Yeah. Who said, I don't think he's had an off-season.

1:48:52He had a barren spell for a bit, didn't he? I mean, this guy's like a freak. I don't think he's had an off-season. Yeah, I don't know. I'll let you two decide. I'm sitting on the fence here. I think he's underrated. I'm going to call him underrated. Yeah. I think Ernie Holland. I don't like, I don't like calling him overrated or underrated to be honest. I feel dirty perfectly rated yeah yeah well on that list then on that list who is the most overrated and underrated player

1:49:20most underrated I actually will go Enzo I think oh there you go I think it's Enzo yeah I think he got so much stick about his 100 million price tag this and that and mate the bloke is arguably the best 10 at the club and the best 8 yeah That's the easier one What about overrated? Tanale or Foden? Or Foden I'm going to go Yeah maybe Zubemendy Or Wurtz I think he's been shocking The last few months Wurtz for the actual price tag Yeah No one's really rated him Take a remove price tag And all of that Yes Jao Pedro always gets put in like top three strikes in the league doesn't he yeah to be fair he has got the output don't he yeah I think potentially just lock it's so hard isn't it he hasn't locked it down for a while it's so hard lick it down Isaac I think that nah I think that's harsh blokes miss most of the season what do you think of our list yeah if you enjoyed it let us know if you did then let us know Let us know who the most overrated player in the Premier League is.

1:50:34And if you're one of these footballers watching. Joking. If you're one of these footballers watching. Yeah, we didn't mean it, guys. But we had to put it in. No, Reeve mentioned it. This is a horrible list. I don't agree with a lot of them. But Will made us do. It's a blame, Will. Bye.
