They've just lowered rates on their Bitcoin and ETH-backed loans even more to 8.91%, which is 9.999 % APR, improving their already industry-low fixed-rate 50 % LTV loans. They keep building as well, having also just launched decentralized MPC Custody, the only place to get that amongst the major loan providers, and removed interest deferral fees entirely. What is MPC Decentralized Custody, you might ask? Well, it's a Bitcoin or ETH on-chain wallet with multiple key shards to protect you from a single-entity custody failure.

1:34the latest journeyman with our chief crypto analyst, Jamie Coutts. Now, let's see what's driving investors' sentiment this Friday. We wrap the week of monetary policy bonanza with the Bank of Japan in the driver's seat. It has maintained its benchmark short-term interest rate at 0.5%, aligning with market expectations. However, two dissenting voices calling for a hike were a surprise, suggesting it might come sooner than expected. The decision arrived as core inflation in the country eased to 2.7%, marking the lowest level since November last year, but still above the central bank's target. The yen briefly surged against the dollar before pulling back.
2:16In the UK, retail sales rose by 0.5 % month-on-month in August, surpassing forecasts for a more modest increase of 0.4%, helped by good weather. Yes, the UK does sometimes have good weather. I know. Shocking. However, public sector net borrowing widened significantly to £18bn from£14bn year over year, against an expected deficit of only£12.8bn. This is the highest August figure in five years, further complicating the fiscal landscape ahead of the November budget announcement. The pound and bonds fell sharply on the news. US stock markets closed at record highs on Thursday on the back of the Federal Reserve rate cut and a sharp drop in initial jobless claims.
3:04The biggest weekly fall in nearly four years, reversing the previous week's surge. Continuing claims also declined. Additionally, manufacturing sentiment improved notably according to a regional survey. The Philadelphia Fed's index recovered into positive territory, hitting the highest level since January and beating expectations of a more modest gain. Finally, the debut of Rex Osprey's ETFs that provide exposure to spot XRP and Dogecoin turned out to be very successful. Bloomberg analyst Eric Balchunas says XRPR saw nearly$38 million in trading volume on day one, marking the biggest such launch in 2025.
3:44Doge has got into this year's top five with some$17 million in volume. OK, that's the last of it. Tune in to RectVision as Mando and Gmoney Chat, Crypto, Macro and all kinds of DGEN stuff and then listen to Nico wrapping up the week with Bijan. Have a great weekend and see you on Monday.
