In short
Macro/crypto market wrap focused on (1) Kevin Warsh’s confirmation as Fed chair and implications for inflation, yields, and Bitcoin; (2) Senate progress on the Clarity Act (major crypto regulation bill); (3) Trump-Xi Beijing summit themes (Iran/Strait of Hormuz, Taiwan, rare earths, AI governance); (4) Hyperliquid/HYPE surge after a new US Hyperliquid ETF and Coinbase USDC revenue integration; (5) AI-stock “alt season” technical resets; (6) AI’s role in crypto recovery stories; (7) rising Treasury yields and mortgage-rate pressure; (8) meme token PENGU relative strength.
Guests
Chris Bullock (“BlastoPlast”)—market/TA-focused commentator and chart analyst; Bijan Maleki—REKT Vision community manager (host).
Key claims
Warsh’s worldview may allow rate cuts via reduced government spending/printing; current Bitcoin weakness is “overreaction”/mean reversion near the 20-day MA; Clarity Act is a positive but still uncertain on final passage; HYPE is bullish due to fee/revenue flywheel and institutional validation; AI stocks remain strong with only normal technical pullbacks; AI wallet recovery doesn’t “unlock” most lost BTC because it still requires backups/seed info; rising yields are ugly but may be overreacting.
Notable examples
Senate vote 54-45 for Warsh; Polymarket pricing (34% hike chance; 98% “pause” next 3 months); Hyperliquid US ETF day-1 volume $1.8M; Coinbase as USDC treasury deployer; Hyperliquid 43% of blockchain fee revenue; AI basket of ~32 AI stocks outperforming BTC since July; Claude recovering ~5 Bitcoin from an 11-year-old wallet using backups/partial seed info; 10-year Treasury yields near 5% and mortgage rates ~6.5%; PENGU brand-driven token demand (meme/NFTs/toys) with price not directly accruing to token.

1:09Kris Bullock:Happy Friday, everyone, and welcome to RectVision. I am Bijan Maleki, your RV community manager, and I'm joined by Chris Bullock, aka BlastoPlast. You guys know us, of course. We come to you every Monday and Wednesday. But we're taking over Rectivision today. And I guess as is tradition with every Friday on Rectivision, the markets are down as we go live. So we're just staying true to the tradition here on Rectivision. But today, we've got a lot of news for you today, right? A lot happened yesterday and this week. So we're going to be breaking down the macro and the crypto and even some AI on what's going on in the markets.
1:51Kris Bullock:So Kevin Warsh just got confirmed as the Fed chair. We're going to talk about what that means for crypto rates and inflation. The Clarity Act, the most important crypto regulation bill in history, had hit the Senate floor. We're going to be talking about that as well. Trump is in Beijing for a two-day summit with Xi Jinping. And they're talking Iran, Strait of Hormuz, Taiwan, Rare Earths, and AI as well. Elon Musk, Tim Apple, and a bunch of other people, CEOs joined as well. We're going to be talking Bitcoin. It's hitting 79K right now, looking like it could go lower. Hype just had some enormous news that we're going to go over.
2:34Kris Bullock:And we're going to be looking at some of the top AI stocks, talk about treasury yields back at 5%. And Chris is going to be running through some charts all throughout it. I know that was a lot because there's a lot to go over. Chris, happy Friday. How are you?
2:49Bijan Maleki:Yeah. Happy Friday. I'm looking forward to this. Again, it's my first time on Wrecked Vision, so this is going to be fun. Lots to talk about. Our third show this week together, too, which is sort of funny. But, yeah, no, this is cool. I like this because it's a little bit more free-flowing. It's just kind of all over the place. And we can cover some of the stuff that we actually didn't get to on Wednesday. So, yeah, I'm looking forward to this. It's going to be a good time.
3:14Kris Bullock:Yeah, it's going to be fun, right? I mean, and it's Wrecked Vision. We're getting wrecked. So let's just have a little bit of fun with it. So why don't we talk, I guess, on a more serious note for the economy. Let's start with Kevin Warsh, who was confirmed as the Fed chair. So basically, yesterday, the Senate confirmed Kevin Warsh 54 to 45, which is basically the most partisan Fed chair confirmation, I think, in modern history. The only Democrat to cross party lines was Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania. It's an interesting one, right? Because Warsh is seen as crypto friendly and more hawkish than Powell.
3:52Kris Bullock:Right. So we're seeing that conversation develop in the market right now. But Chris, what's your what's your take on on the Warsh confirmation?
4:02Bijan Maleki:So it's interesting with him. I feel like he's a little bit misunderstood. I feel like a lot of people are basing their impression of him on positions and ideas that he had back, you know, back during the Obama era when he was certainly more hawkish when the entire sort of economy was different back then. And he hasn't really done as much publicly since then. So they're kind of, again, basing their understanding of his ideology on a different era. And so I feel like there's a disconnect there a little bit. I don't know if the issue is so much, you know, will he cut rates or won't he? You know, is he a hawk or is he a dove?
4:41Bijan Maleki:But I think it's important to factor in, I think, his worldview of how the economy works and how different it is compared to Powell's. You know, I think he believes more that inflation isn't really caused by a growing economy or workers being paid too much. Rather, it's inflation is caused more by government printing too much money, spending too much and wasting too much. And I know he's also, like you said, super bullish structurally on AI and thinks that it's actually deflationary. And so he's going to come at it from the standpoint of we need to, again, stop spending too much, stop printing too much, things like that.
5:17Bijan Maleki:And he can see a scenario within that where a rate cut actually is productive according to his framework. And so it's not going to be the kind of thing where Powell, oh, we got to raise rates because inflation is too high. You know, the sort of broad, I guess, sort of blunt mechanic that he uses. And so I don't know. I think there's a scenario that exists where there is a rate cut in this over the next few months or at least by the end of the year. Of course, we'll have to wait and see. But I think people are a little bit too trigger happy right now today. I think this is a bit of an overreaction.
5:53Bijan Maleki:There's some technical elements to it, too, in terms of like positioning, just technical positioning and things like that that we can look at as far as charts go. But I am generally pretty optimistic on Warsh. And I think that it'll be a little bit better than than we think. So, of course, we'll find out.
6:10Kris Bullock:Yeah. And well said, Chris, because, I mean, his first test is going to come pretty fast, right? Markets want the cuts. Inflation is hot right now. And he's going to have to basically walk a tightrope between the Trump pressure and just Trump being publicly pressuring him, kind of like he was doing with Powell, and kind of his credibility as a central banker, right? Those are like two things that he's going to have to kind of decide what's more important, right? And I want to ask you, because you did mention Bitcoin, and I think it's probably a good time to look at that Bitcoin chart because I want to know, is Warsh coming in?
6:43Kris Bullock:Is that a buy signal for Bitcoin, do you think? I mean, because like, yeah, on the one end, he is crypto friendly, right? But yields are spiking. So like, how do you trade that?
6:55Bijan Maleki:Well, so just looking at Bitcoin here on the chart, we did get a full mean reversion on the daily timeframe back down to the 20 day moving average. So that and we'll kind of see this on a number of assets. Like I was going through my watch list today and looking at both stocks and crypto, and a lot of them are coming right back down to like 20 day moving averages, just a natural sort of mean reversion from a technical standpoint. And this generally more often not represents a decent buying opportunity in an uptrend. The question remains, though, you know, will I guess will the inflation pressures and the yield pressures and things like that continue to push prices down even further going into next week?
7:37Bijan Maleki:Or will the market kind of be like, oh, okay, maybe there was an overreaction. Maybe we got the kind of technical reset that we were looking for, and this will buy us some more juice for the upside. So we're right on the line with a lot of that. I mean, again, if we look at Bitcoin here, we're right at the moving average, right at the support level. After yesterday being right at the resistance level, it's funny, we've gone straight from top to bottom. So yeah, I don't know. My gut tells me I feel like this is a bit of an overreaction going into the weekend. A lot of these investors don't want to be too heavily positioned into this type of uncertainty.
8:14Bijan Maleki:And I think cooler heads will prevail. And we'll see a bit of a reset and hopefully kind of back to normal, whatever that means next week. That's what I think. But I mean, I don't know. I don't know.
8:28Kris Bullock:Yeah, who knows, right? I mean, because we thought this I thought it was going to be a completely green day, right? With Warsh getting confirmed, the Senate bill, the Clarity Act, having real momentum and having a big day yesterday. I would imagine that it would have been really green today, but it turns out it was really just another sell the news event, it seems like.
8:50Bijan Maleki:Yeah, I wanted to look at some poly market regarding the rate cuts and hikes and things here real quick, kind of along the same line. So right now, the market is pricing in a 34 % chance of a rate hike this year, which is interesting. Also, there was another one, is there any cuts? How many rate cuts in 2026? 67 % saying zero, only 16 % saying one. so that's pretty pretty ominous i guess to a degree you know the majority are saying at least nothing is going to happen no rate cuts at all 34 chance we'll actually get a hike uh in this year
9:34Bijan Maleki:so interesting yeah i'll be watching these numbers for sure hey if you think there's going to be or
9:39Kris Bullock:if you think there's going to be at least one rate cut uh coming for the rest of the year the odds are looking pretty great for that on Polymarket right now.
9:49Bijan Maleki:In terms of the next three months, it's just pause, pause, pause, 98%, and then 2 % chance of rate cuts at the first Fed meeting. So definitely nothing in the short term, which doesn't surprise me. But like I was saying, I do think that because of his different perspective on how the economy works, he'll at least be able to make an argument for why rate cuts that isn't just, I'm, you know, acquiescing to Trump, I'm towing the company line, I'm just a puppet here. You know, I actually have a legitimate reason, a legitimate framework for why I believe this makes sense. And it's not just, you know, because Trump told me to.
10:30Bijan Maleki:And so it'll be interesting to see how those two dynamics play out, I think, going forward.
10:35Kris Bullock:Yeah, absolutely. So we haven't, I mean, Warsh wasn't the only big news that came out from yesterday, right? We had The Clarity Act as well. So the Senate Banking Committee held a markup session yesterday to advance the Clarity Act. And as we said, it is the most significant U.S. crypto market structure bill ever, right? This is huge for our industry. It had already passed the House in July. So now the Senate just did their markup yesterday. So it's not like fully official yet. I think it needs about seven Democratic votes to pass. And there were like hundreds of amendments submitted. So still not fully there yet.
11:14Kris Bullock:But that was a big move what happened yesterday. And, you know, we're going to see how that how that progresses. But I mean, the market isn't really they haven't reacted so much to that news yesterday, as opposed to maybe what you would expect if it fully passes. What's your what's your take on what happened yesterday, Chris?
11:33Bijan Maleki:It was definitely positive. It was a step in the right direction, but I'm still very cautiously optimistic. I would have liked to have seen more support from the Democratic side, even just in this committee vote. Yes, we got the two. So technically, technically it was bipartisan. But even the two Democrats that did vote in favor of it voted yes with conditions and said that they may just because they voted yes here doesn't guarantee that they will actually vote yes on the official floor vote. So and one of them was especially conditional from from Senator Alsobrooks. You know, she needed a lot more revisions basically for the thing to finally pass.
12:14Bijan Maleki:So it's good. Obviously, it needed to get through this, which it did. This is a major hurdle to be sure. But again, I would have liked to have seen a little bit more bipartisanship and a little bit more certainty coming from the Democrats that did say yes. So cautiously optimistic, like I said. I'm a little bit tempered with this, but also, of course, it was essential. So yeah.
12:38Kris Bullock:Andreas had a funny tweet yesterday about this. He was just saying that if the Democrats come in power, that AI trade is dead. I thought that was interesting based off of the Clarity Act. But another question for you, Chris, on this. Do you think the market is pricing this right now? Do you think that regulatory hope has been baked in since the ETF approvals? Do you think the market is underpricing it? How do you think the market is taking into account what's going on with Clarity right now?
13:12Bijan Maleki:online trading but haven't taken the first step, you're not alone and Plus 500 Futures is a great place to start. 14:12Bijan Maleki:I'd like to think it's underpriced, mainly just because I'm thinking about my own personal perspective on it. Like I'm not pricing this in. I'm not buying into this yet as a sure thing, as a guarantee. So I'm hoping that other people who think about it at the same level are also not buying into it yet. I don't know. And basically also based on the fact that we're not seeing huge kind of retail mania yet either is telling me that I think it's not priced in. I think it's not priced in, not totally priced in anyway. Yeah. Right.
14:47Kris Bullock:Yeah. And we'll see how it progresses. Obviously, we have more news to follow on the Clarity Axle. We will be bringing you that as it progresses. Some great memes from Elizabeth Warren yesterday as well. So check those out if you haven't seen them yet. So, I mean, and again, like there was more news coming out of yesterday. So we had Kevin Warsh confirm, we had Clarity Act markups, right? And then we had a huge Beijing visit. So Trump and a delegation of, you know, basically the most powerful people in the world were in Beijing. That included Elon Musk, Larry Fink, as I alluded to, Tim Apple, and many other major CEOs and kind of what the issues that were on the table were Iran war, Shred of Hormuz, trade relationships and tariffs, Taiwan, rare earth exports and AI governance.
15:40Kris Bullock:And I think like one of any one of these issues are like global market movers, but like all five in like one in like a two day visit is like it could basically spell out the rest of our, foreseeable future. China is Iran's largest oil customer. So they obviously want to see an end to that. And I think an end to that would be good for the markets. But I think what's interesting here, what I don't think is getting much talk about it is kind of the AI talks that are going on there, because Jensen Wang was also there and he was very visible throughout that meeting, or just kind of throughout the day.
16:21Kris Bullock:So I thought that was an interesting one. Obviously, Iran, poor moves and tariffs are the headlines. But I think the AI talks that are happening there is also going to be very interesting as well. What are you thinking is happening in Beijing right now, Chris?
16:37Bijan Maleki:Yeah, a couple of the takeaways I liked was obviously that China stated that they weren't going to support Iran from a military standpoint, which I think was a good thing. And of course, they're seeking an end to the conflict too. It's in their best interest as well. So it's good to see them not wanting to escalate things. Also kind of similarly along the same lines, they were saying how they feel like they would like to see the US and China be more of a partnership and less adversarial overall, which I thought was a nice statement to hear. Also, the Taiwan situation, I feel like came away more stable.
17:14Bijan Maleki:I'm hoping a little bit from that too. overall I think it was a net positive I feel like China came off a little bit better you know not surprising just based on their you could say more mature foreign policy approach however you want to word that but yeah I feel like I feel like it was a net positive overall I think it was a good visit I think that both sides came away with with some some good takeaways some good wins And I feel like it sort of helped to stabilize things. Was it perfect? No, but I think it was a net positive at least.
17:52Kris Bullock:Yeah, right. And I mean, just the news coming out of there, so far at least seems pretty positive, but not much happening also at the same time. Like the headline of what's being discussed is enormous, right? But so far what we've been hearing, not much to move the needle, right? So hopefully something more comes out of that. That's good for the markets. And hopefully we get a nice clear resolution on Iran, Strait of Hormuz, and that kind of just going away, so to speak. So let's hope for that. Another big moment yesterday, and this is one that you and I have loved for a long time or been big fans of for a long time, which is Hyperliquid, right?
18:36Kris Bullock:They had an enormous day yesterday and actually just this week. So 21 shares launched the first US Hyperliquid ETF just a few days ago. Day one volume, 1.8 million. Coinbase just became the official USDC treasury deployer on Hyperliquid's blockchain. Hyperliquid now accounts for 43 % of all blockchain fee revenue versus ETH at 13 % and Solana at 10%. 43 % of all blockchain revenues. Some analysts are projecting. And you know what? I'm not even going to say what they're projecting because we don't get into that. But Chris, that is huge, right? We were talking about this with Hyperliquid, how they're generating fees, kind of the moment they've been having with the oil perps and just kind of the futures trading that's been going on.
19:29Kris Bullock:Are you surprised? I mean, at the same time, 43 % is such a large share. Are you surprised by that number?
19:38Bijan Maleki:I am a little surprised by that number. I didn't realize it was quite that big. That's insane, actually.
Read the full transcript
19:47Bijan Maleki:I didn't know that. I hadn't seen that. So yeah, that's crazy.
19:53Kris Bullock:So with that question, first of all, why don't we take a look at hype? Does this change how you feel about hype maybe a week ago? And what are you thinking hype's going to do in the future?
20:07Bijan Maleki:I think it's only bullish for Hype. So I have the chart pulled up here. Hype had, it was a massive day yesterday, up 13%, which I mean, well, massive for these days anyway, but up 13%. One of the bigger days it's had for some time, I think it did have a pretty big day back here in February too, but one of the biggest days in the year at least. And nice because it sort of bucked the waning downtrend that it was on, which is nice, kind of got it back right in line. Also, PER had a huge day too off the back of it. PER actually was up even more. PER had a 17 % day, which was cool. And I think this is big because not only is, it streamlines a lot of what's going on on Hyperliquid.
20:56Bijan Maleki:There's a lot of sort of liquidity fracturing with the way they were managing their initial stablecoin. They had a stablecoin, USDH, that it was their own stablecoin on there, but it just didn't work as well. And on top of this, I love that Coinbase is doing like a 90 % revenue share with the USDC on Hyperliquid. So all of the money that Coinbase is making from their yield, from like the money they make from running USDC, they're sharing that back with Hyperliquid, which is allowing them to buy more tokens, yet even more tokens than they already are, you know, and sort of keep that flywheel running and even juiced quite a bit.
21:38Bijan Maleki:So I think that's huge. I think it's going to just make everything very liquid, very sort of, quote, aligned, you know, on that platform so that it's very easy to move money in and out and have, you know, a ton of liquidity. It's going to obviously make more money for both Coinbase and Circle and hyperliquid. And yeah, I think too, it's just a major institutional validation of hyperliquid. You know, it's pointing out that this isn't going anywhere. Now we're having, you know, public companies like Coinbase partnering with them and not even just partnering with them, like on a surface level, but full actual technical integration into their platform, you know, and so, and revenue sharing between the two companies and things like that.
22:21Bijan Maleki:So yeah, it's a big deal and it's going to mean more money for all of these people. It's going to mean more capability for hyperliquid. And I can't see any scenario where this isn't a good thing for all parties involved, basically. So on with hype, on with PER, and on with the ETF that you just mentioned. And yeah, I think that it's only going to go from there. Also, speaking of along the same lines, I saw a headline today coming up soon. I don't remember exactly when. It just popped in my head, but PER is going to be listed on a major index. It's going to start getting passive bid from a major index.
23:03Bijan Maleki:I don't remember which one. I wish I would have thought about that and made a note of it. Good things coming for PER too, where it'll be listed on a major index and it'll have passive money coming in from funds and stuff that buy these indexes. So yeah, it's only looking good for all of us right now.
23:21Kris Bullock:Yeah, I mean, that's pretty insane. The fact that we were already bullish on Hyperliquid's revenues, just because of the oil perps and futures and the crypto trading that goes on there, and then how they use those revenues to buy back and burn their token. The fact that they just added a second revenue stream to that fee structure is wild. And then that revenue stream comes from Coinbase's USDC yield. It's like, that is, I cannot hide the bullishness on my face for hype right now. So I will just leave it at that before we cross into the territory of shilling. But before we move on from hype, Chris, can we take a look at the hype chart and just see what we can glean from a technical perspective.
24:09Bijan Maleki:Well, it's funny, even just looking at it, like right now, looking at the rest of my crypto watch list, everything is down at minimum 2%. Some of these are even down double digits, 10, 15%. Whereas hype is barely down, not even a half a percent right now on the day. They're almost flat on the day at 0.1 or 0.4 in the negative. So it's a bit of a wild candle here. Wicks to both sides, pretty big. But this is, again, showing just how much relative strength they have compared to everything else that's going on in crypto right now. So, or the rest of the markets for that matter.
24:43Kris Bullock:Yeah.
24:43Bijan Maleki:So, yeah. But the chart looks good. Like I said, it sort of restored that trend. They're back on the top of the range. They actually did set a higher high, although it has come back down, but the wick is higher. So, yeah, good stuff. Huge volume day today, which is funny. Much bigger volume day today than yesterday, even though price is almost flat. So people are, there's a tension around Hyperliquid for sure.
25:07Kris Bullock:Yeah, absolutely. Now, do you think, obviously with like this bullish news with Hyperliquid and people see that, they hear about the Coinbase fees coming to Hyperliquid's ecosystem. Naturally, they're going to have FOMO, right? And they're going to want to jump right into hype. What do you say to that? Is this like, are we at a good, or is this still a good buy zone? Do we need to wait for maybe a little correction? I personally, I view hype as a DCA play. It's just one of those, it's too hard to tell with what's going, because when the market's down, people use hype to short and trade oil perps and energy and all of that.
25:43Kris Bullock:When the market's up, they're buying on hype and the market's going up. So for me, it's just like, that's a tried and true DCA strategy on it. But I wanted to see what the more seasoned TA guy has to say about this.
25:58Bijan Maleki:I think you're spot on. and especially looking at this this price action and just how choppy it is a dca strategy makes perfect sense here that's like custom tailored for this exact type of price action um that said i i actually think it's a decent chance to buy not you know normally i would say no off the back of a big day like yesterday but it really like i said only got us back right into the range you know so it's not like it shot us up and we're we're let me like pull up the bollinger bands here yeah it kind of ran us right back to the top of the Bollinger Bands and now we're sort of hovering just on the inside of them so we're not that overbought really considering you know because we were all the way down at the bottom it would be different if we were way outside the top of them I would say yeah no it's got a cool off it's got a mean revert but it's already kind of doing that it's already almost come back down to its 10-day moving average so it wouldn't be insane to buy right now, especially on the back of this, you know, being a much more fundamental long-term catalyst, bullish catalyst for it, these developments.
27:00Bijan Maleki:And so I don't see any reason why this isn't going to keep going up, honestly. It just looks really good. So I think a position in hype on any level is warranted, whether you're DCAing or not. It's just one of those handful, small handful of crypto assets that has massive real-world adoption that is almost totally decoupled from the rest of the crypto space. It's got action from all kinds of players all over the world trading metals and oil and everything on the weekends. It's the only venue where you can trade oil 24-7 in the world, basically. And it's getting tons of activity from that. So it's got a nice little moat right now.
27:44Bijan Maleki:And like I said, it's going to keep going. So a quick break in your regular programming. If you're serious about
27:51Kris Bullock:your future, grab my free report called Prepare for 2030. I think you've got five years to make as much money as possible. And this guide will help you navigate what's coming. The link is in the description. Download it now. Yeah, it really is. As I said, you know, kind of at the beginning of the year on our Monday TA show, I think hype is the coin of 20, the crypto coin of 2026. I've yet to be proven wrong on it, to be quite honest with you. And I'm going to just leave it at this example. Like if base, right, Coinbase's base had a token and they said, we're going to use the fees that we generate from base to buy back and burn base token.
28:32Kris Bullock:Would you not be very interested in buying that coin? That's that's we'll move on from there. Right. So next up. up and speaking of like just trades just constantly just going up only it seems ai stocks are just ripping through the basically to the moon right it's the alt season as you've said many times chris alt season is happening but it's in ai and it's happening literally like right now as we speak now do you think this do you think we we were just like overbought now on the ai trade is it just Like, have we gone up way too much and we're due for a correction now? Like, what are your thinking there?
29:12Kris Bullock:And what are like some of the stuff that you're looking at?
29:14Bijan Maleki:Yeah, let's take a look at a handful here. First, I want to show this chart. I shared it on the platform, I think, last week. This is a chart. The candle chart here is Bitcoin. And then this other line chart is a basket of about 30, I think it's 32 different AI stocks relative to Bitcoin. So it's denominated in Bitcoin and not USD. And so it's directly showing the outperformance against Bitcoin. And we can see really since July of last year, it's pretty much just taken off and never looked back. And so even as well as Bitcoin has been doing in this last stretch, AI stocks are still outpacing it, even still.
29:51Bijan Maleki:They're still outperforming Bitcoin in general as a sector. Now, of course, there's going to be individual ones within that that will fluctuate. But just to kind of illustrate how well AI is doing, it's still outperforming Bitcoin. and then let's look at some individual ones here because yes I think there has been a bit of a a bit of a just like I said a technical reset but I don't think it's anything major so let me just kind of pick a few Vertiv is one that I've been paying quite a bit of attention to a lot of these you'll see they've just been ripping and so Vertiv yeah it's down today or actually it's well it's down almost two percent today but really it's just kind of come down and and hit its moving average A lot of these are coming down to either their 10, and in some cases, their 20-day moving averages, but nothing really crazy.
30:39Bijan Maleki:No major trend reversals. Let's just look at a few more. Yeah, again, here's Sienna Corporation. I'm just going to pick some random ones off of this list here. But yeah, so right at its 10-day, Marvell is another one that everybody's been talking about lately. Not even down to its 10-day. Yes, it's a bit off the high, but most of these are down just a little bit on the day. They're not anything crazy. What about Micron? Let's look at Micron. Yeah, Micron, it rolled over, but again, still only down to its 10-day moving average. So lots of AI is doing well and really only just having like a general technical mean reversion, not any kind of major breakdown, not any kind of trend reversal.
31:18Bijan Maleki:So I feel pretty good about this. I don't feel like this is anything other than just natural, normal ebb and flow of a chart, you know. So, yeah, I'm good with it.
31:31Kris Bullock:are there any ones you wanted to look at yeah uh actually i want to look at uh d ram uh because i'm a big fan of the memory play obviously you looked at micron which is in d ram so for those of you that don't aren't unfamiliar d ram is basically what is in uh the round round hill memory uh yes etf i think is like the actual name right um it's a basket basically of memory stocks that they have uh that well they have samsung in it they have sk hynix they have micron they have uh who else sandisk i mean they have some like really big names in memory that uh that that just can absolutely rip so it's one that i really like uh as well uh so definitely want to take a
32:09Bijan Maleki:look at that yeah so same just like everything else perfect touch right on its 10-day moving average a little bit wick below it i'm seeing a lot of these you know wick just a tick below it and kind of poke back above it so yeah it's down a little bit off the highs uh what do we got here So we're down 10 % off the highs. But again, it was a little bit overextended. You could see it got pretty deviated from its moving average at its peak. So very normal to see something just, you know, ebb back down to its 10-day moving average. In some cases, it's 20s in some of these. But, you know, this is a really strong one.
32:43Bijan Maleki:Memory as a sector is still really strong. Memory is not going anywhere. If anything, the demand is only increasing. Yes, some of these memory stocks are a little bit over their skis, which makes me not totally surprised to see a bit of a refresher right here. But like I said, it's not a major trend reversal. It's not a technical breakdown at all. I want to go back to Micron here real quick. Yeah, it was a little overextended too, you know, and it's down. What is it right now? It's down right at 10 % also. So a lot of these are going to track right along the line with DRAM. But yeah, so down 10%, perfect touch, almost a perfect exact touch right on the moving average and then a bounce from there.
33:21Bijan Maleki:So I don't know, this doesn't look ominous at all to me. Unless we start breaking some of these moving averages and really start to lose these trends and set lower lows, then I'll start to get worried. But right now, this isn't anything to me. This is just regular, normal, everyday chart price action to me. Yeah.
33:43Kris Bullock:So the AI trade still has legs. So Chris, on Wednesday, we were talking about different AI sectors, right? And obviously, when people think of AI, they do think of maybe the memories, definitely the semiconductors and all of that. But you were talking about chemicals. For those that may have missed the Wednesday part, can you tell us a little bit about why chemicals within AI is a sector that has gotten your attention recently?
34:11Bijan Maleki:So yeah, basically, it's really more come to my attention in the last few weeks and not something that I was looking at, but chemicals play a large role in the manufacturing fabrication of semiconductors and packaging of semiconductors and these circuit boards and things like that. So they are absolutely a essential puzzle piece to this build out. And let's look at some of these chemical stocks, because if I remember correctly, not all of them were as maybe overextended. Some are in some cases, but not all of them are as overextended as some of the actual memory stocks or semiconductor stocks.
34:52Bijan Maleki:So let's look at year to date. So here's, I'm just picking this first one on the list. What do we got? MKSI. So I want to see sort of year to date. What are we up? 83%. That's a lot. But just for comparison's sake, let's kind of go back to Micron real quick and see what it is year to date. because I want to say it's quite a bit more.
35:18Bijan Maleki:Well, it's double. It's double that. So anyway, let's go back to this. MKSI is one. ENTG, also just kind of plodding along. It's not parabolic necessarily. It's just kind of leg up, you know, kind of retest, leg up, sort of retest. Whereas a lot of the other ones just are straight up. Like if you look at sand, sand disc is a good example of one. It's just like, Oh my God, I, I missed that. And there's no, you know, there's no catching it. Um, SD, S and D K sand disc has just been like crazy. Yeah. Like it's just, it's just like a bunker. And so it's like, I don't even know where I can buy in this.
35:58Bijan Maleki:I just can't, you know, it, I don't know what to do with this, but like some of these chemical ones are a little bit more just sort of plotting. Um, Selenies, what do we got? Yeah. Selenies too. hasn't really had the major breakout yet. It's still just kind of feeling its way along. ESI is looking pretty strong. What is this? Rogers, another one. Yes, it's like, yes, they're in an uptrend. And yes, it's like, you can see this one in particular is really ramped up. So it had a good leg, it corrected. And then it's definitely a higher, steeper trajectory in the second leg starting back in March than in the initial phase.
36:35Bijan Maleki:But it's still not like crazy. And then this final one here. Yeah, also not insane, like up around a 2X, give or take. But I feel like there's still a lot of gas in the tank for some of these compared to a lot of these semiconductor stocks that have just ran and ran and ran. I want to say like going back to Micron, if you go back to like October, Micron was all the way back down here somewhere. Like it's, you know, it's up 4X from that. And so I don't think Micron's going to do another 4X from here. Whereas some of these chemicals, like that's more realistic for that to happen, you know? So that's kind of how I'm looking at that.
37:18Kris Bullock:That's a great point. And then like the semiconductor, they were so like, that was such a big narrative and rightfully so in 2025, right? And we're starting to see that trade, you know, kind of people maybe feel like they missed out. which is obviously that supply chain tightening as well. But that value then kind of just moves into the other sectors, right? Like the memory, like power chips as well are showing some strength. So it's going to be a very interesting dynamic. How do you think now with kind of the race in AI and just like all of this demand, we also hear about like, hey, the supply might not like, the supply does not match like the incoming future demand for this AI.
38:01Kris Bullock:So like, how do you think about that in terms of like the companies that you want to be investing in? Like, do you like, are you looking at who has that supply, like who's secured their supply chain? Like who has, like, I know you've mentioned, you know, you want to see their order books as well. How do you think of that, the supply landscape with the demand as well in the future?
38:27Bijan Maleki:So I think the key word you want to really kind of focus on with all of this is just scarcity. The word is scarcity. And so where's the bottlenecks in all of this right now? And we know that, yes, there are memory bottlenecks, but also memory from a speculative standpoint is maybe a little bit overheated at the same time. But there are for sure bottlenecks. So yes, you can confirm order books. I think right now we're seeing a bit of a rally, a lot of strength in the power side of things, because power is really one of the big bottlenecks, too, where data centers, there's just not enough power right now to run all of this stuff, too.
39:04Bijan Maleki:And so power is one of the big bottlenecks. And let's look at a couple of these that I've been kind of paying attention to. They've had nice, Bloom Energy is a good power one that I've been looking at. Had a nice rip, and that's going to continue to have demand. GE Vernova is another one that right in the same line. But also like Caterpillar and Cummins. Also, these are going to grind a little bit slower. They're, you know, kind of big market cap stocks already. So, uh, cat and Cummins, but they're going to keep going up because they're generating power for these data centers. So they're going to continue to have demand, but outside of that, there's also sort of there's, there's an alt power segment, and then there's kind of a battery power segment within that alt power.
39:49Bijan Maleki:And then also like electric switch gear and electric hardware that sort of manages the flow of all this power, like from the, from the utility companies to the, to the power generators, to the data centers and things like that. There's a lot of like actual hardware that goes into the management of that electrical flow. And so that's where somebody like Eaton comes in. Eaton is a company that makes equipment that manages that electrical flow. Also, this other one, Qantas Services, is another one that right in that same boat. But then like tan solar, I know Raul has talked about tan solar. Solar is going to be right in there.
40:24Bijan Maleki:Lithium, Lithium Americas. This one isn't performing as good, but this is another one that also is kind of on my radar. And then you've got a few others, Fuel Cell Energy, which is ripping right now, even though it's down on the day. This FLNC is another one. Fluence Energy is one that I'm kind of scoping out as well. So be looking in the power segment. Be looking at all power. Be looking at power generation. I think that there's something to that. I think that that's one of the bigger bottlenecks right now that is going to need to be resolved and is going to have continued demand for the foreseeable future.
40:57Bijan Maleki:So that's between power and chemicals is largely where I'm focused right now. I still have some exposure to IT infrastructure and to cooling and to semiconductors, but I've really made sure that I've rounded out my portfolio so that it does include exposure to power and chemicals as well.
41:17Kris Bullock:yeah uh shout out i just want to give a shout out to andreas stino who has been uh who was in on bloom energy from early days who just hit on the epic wolf speed trade as well it's another ai trade and he uh love that you mentioned scarcity chris because he's also uh building exposure uh to the end consumer scarcity as well so check out andreas's um yeah portfolio for uh to be in on the AI trade as well, because he's been on fire. So Chris, just to kind of close up this AI loop here, Claude recovered about$400 ,000, five Bitcoin, recovered about five Bitcoin that was lost in a wallet, right? So an ex-user, they basically, they went viral.
42:07Kris Bullock:They used Anthropix, Claude AI to recover five Bitcoin that had been locked in their wallet for 11 years, which is wild, right? And all of a sudden it's just back into play. So my question here, well, one, I was very worried at first that like AI cracked his seed phrase because that would have scared the shit out of me, right? But that's not what happened. Not what happened. He just ended up like loading his previous computer's memory into Claude. And then turns out he had stored the keys somewhere in like some obscure way. and Claude was able to find it. So that's really what happened. But my question for you, and I guess a bigger theme, is if AI can now recover to an extent, right, lost wallets and lost Bitcoin, what do you think that means for like the supply of Bitcoin, right?
42:58Kris Bullock:Because like, what was it? Like two to four million Bitcoin was deemed lost forever. Well, this just like kind of makes it be like, well, maybe not that much could be lost forever. Like, do you think that impacts the supply or like impacts the market if like people all of a sudden, like 1 million Bitcoin that was deemed lost is now found? Like, what do you think that plays into the market?
43:20Bijan Maleki:I mean, perhaps. I think it's important to sort of illustrate what actually happened here and what information he did have. Because he had, for one, he had a backup of his old computer or even had his old computer. I don't remember exactly. He either had a backup or he had the actual computer itself. Also, he had the seed phrase or at least a portion of the seed phrase and some other sort of very key information. And what Claude did was go on, find a back, a wallet backup file that, you know, ultimately allowed him to recover, recover the funds. So you have to it's not like it's just going to pull this lost Bitcoin out of thin air.
44:02Bijan Maleki:It's not going to hack these wallets. It's not going to sort of quantum hack anything. So it's like you still have to have quite a bit of stuff to go on in order for this to be a thing. And so I think that, sure, are there some people out there in that boat? Probably, you know, and good. But I don't know if it's going to be enough to sort of materially unlock, you know, 10 % of the supply or some sort of crazy number like that. I think it's a little bit of a niche situation. situation definitely cool and and obviously gives hope to to a chunk of people but i i don't know i don't know if it's going to be a total game changer or anything like that um yeah that's
44:44Kris Bullock:just kind of my take yeah it was a fun story though right i'm definitely very happy for this guy it was really absolutely absolutely yeah no it kind of reminds me of that guy who lost his
44:53Bijan Maleki:hard drive in the in the landfill in england and has been fighting with them for a decade or whatever. And like in that scenario, you know, Claude isn't going to be able to help him at all, unfortunately. And so it's like, if you don't have the computer anymore, or you, you know, you're missing the seed phrase or the, you know, the, the public key or anything like that. Like I actually, I have a cousin who lost quite a bit of Bitcoin on an old computer back, you know, six or eight years ago. And we tried to recover it, but he, he doesn't have the computer anymore. And so he's like, I know there was a backup on it somewhere, probably, but I just I don't have the computer anymore.
45:29Bijan Maleki:So there's not I can do. And I'm like, man, it's too bad, you know, because maybe in this case, there might might be some hope. But yeah, so you definitely need some key pieces in order for this to be a thing. But it's it's still very cool. And I'm glad that that it exists. And I think there's definitely people that it will help.
45:46Kris Bullock:Yeah, I mean, if anything, the lesson here is back your stuff up, right? I mean, that's right. You don't know when you get 11 years later, it can be very useful to you, especially with the rate that AI is growing and not a bad practice as well. And also, I think it's crazy just from this headline, the bot tried 3.5 trillion passwords before decrypt. The scale at which that happened is 3.5 trillion. We can't even like that number is so big. It's hard to actually comprehend the amount of times that it actually tried that a human never would have done that. So I think that's also very. It's promising, right?
46:31Bijan Maleki:Yeah, it reminds me of that. Well, last year, over the past year, plus I had lost access to a wallet that had a bunch of Tau tokens in it. And basically I lost the derivation path, which is kind of like a password. And I used a bunch of AI over the time. I used ChatGPT. I used Perplexity. I wasn't using Clot at the time, but I was hammering it for months and months and trying to have it script out and help me sort of brute force this situation so that it could crack this for me and find this derivation. path. And I even in that sense, in that situation, I had the public key, you know, I had the address, I had the mnemonic phrase, I, you know, so I had my whole, I had everything except for the actual derivation path, and I couldn't get it to work.
47:18Bijan Maleki:So it's just maybe it speaks to how much AI has advanced just in the last like six months since, since I, well, I, thankfully, I was able to recover the funds, different story. But, you know, maybe, maybe had I not been able to, I would be able to now, given how advanced Claude is with Opus and things like that. So it's only getting better.
47:38Kris Bullock:Yeah. Well, we'll obviously be bringing that to you guys on our Trading the Markets with AI. So yeah, stay tuned for that. So Chris, treasury yields are the highest since May of last year, actually. And they don't seem to be slowing down. So 10-year treasury yields hit 5%, highest since May 2025. 30-year mortgage rates are back at like 6.5%. So if you bought your house in the last year and you actually ended up getting a sub-6 % mortgage, pat yourself on the back. but if you didn't, maybe you might want to wait and rent until that happens. What's your take on what's going on here?
48:30Bijan Maleki:Music to my ears as I'm literally actively in the process of getting a mortgage right now, literally today. I'm house shopping as we speak, so not what I wanted to hear, but well, it is what it is. So yeah, I'm looking at the 10-year chart here. Definitely huge spike today i was also looking at the dollar the dixie which same thing huge spike today as well so yeah it's ugly out there it's ugly out there but oops but i still think that i still think that this is a bit of an overreaction today i think that um you know let's see what monday has in store for us because i don't know that it's going to be quite as insane yeah let's um let's
49:15Kris Bullock:definitely check that it's gonna let's hope let's let's hope and chris for your sake i hope the rates come down sooner than later, but you can always refinance. That's what everyone told me when I was freaking out about 6 % rates months ago. You can always refinance, but it seems like we're not having that opportunity. So we'll see how that goes. Chris, I want to take a question that just came on the RV website from John BS. Where do you see Pengu? Let's take a look at Pengu.
49:57Bijan Maleki:Pengu has looked good lately. In fact, I think year to date, I was just when I did my model portfolio report yesterday, I want to say year to date. And really that's looking at just like the last probably a handful of like the last month or so. It has outperformed pretty much everything else in the portfolio. Although today it's kind of reversed some of that, but Pengu looks good. Pengu has a strong narrative as it always has with all of its products. I know it's been getting quite a bit of news headlines of late with its NFTs and with its toys. So Pengu hasn't gone away. and I don't think it's going to.
50:35Bijan Maleki:The only thing, now here's one thing. The only thing that I am a little iffy with Pengu is the fact that, yes, it has all this stuff. Yes, it has the cartoon. Yes, it has the toys and the NFTs and all the just general exposure. But none of that technically accrues back to the token directly. And so that is worth noting. So really the price action of Pengu is solely mimetic in nature. It's mainly just, oh, I like the pangu NFTs. I like the toys. I like the stuff. I better go buy the token so I can sort of feel like I'm part of this community and this identity. And so it's still very much in that vein.
51:15Bijan Maleki:It's not like Hyperliquid where every toy that's bought, a percentage of that goes back into the token price or every NFT for that matter or anything like that. So keep that in mind. But like I said, it still has strong brand value. probably more so than just about anything, I feel like, in the meme space, certainly, you know. And so that has value. That's worth something for sure. So, yeah, I think Pengu will continue to do well. I mean, yeah, it's down a lot. It's down more than a lot of things, you know, since September, October, off the highs. But it's hanging in there, and it's leveled off just like everything else.
51:59Bijan Maleki:It's actually above a lot of like if you look compared to Bitcoin, just real quick, like we can see how Pengu shot well up into its 200 day moving average cloud, whereas Bitcoin didn't even get to it. It really just got rejected off the bottom side of it and right back down. So it's showing a little bit of structural, technical relative strength compared to, you know, Bitcoin and some of the bigger ones like that. So I think I think it's right in there. I think it's in the game. I still think it's it's relevant. if anything it's just as relevant as it's ever been because it's it's you know people are still talking about it today which and i think memes just in general are doing well i remember there was a post i think on the x post from real vision yesterday showing how meme the meme sector has
52:44Kris Bullock:outperformed uh defi you know in the last chunk of time and so yeah and and i i'm not surprised
52:51Bijan Maleki:by that and and pengu is a major driver that spx is another driver of that you know and so while they're down today, I think memes are still relevant and will kind of always be. And so, and Pengu is, I think, a leader in that sector.
53:07Kris Bullock:Yeah, absolutely. Yeah, here it is actually right now. Producer just bringing it up right there. Memes plus 17.87 % in 30 days, DeFi down 1.5 % over 90 days. So the serious sector is underperforming the joke sector. Yeah, that comes from our Real Vision sector dashboard. Shout out Jamie Coots. And Chris, you've used that yourself. We've used that to do some TA in the past as well. So if you haven't checked out the sector dashboard, definitely go and check. Yeah, thank you for bringing this up. Check it out. We have the sectors that you can see. You can see the top bottom of sectors. And if you are a pro member, you also will have the GLI regime dashboard as well, which is pretty new.
54:03Kris Bullock:And as you can see, we are in an expansion regime. So stay tuned for more dashboards as well. Chris, so it's been quite a week, right? And we're coming up on the end here. I want to end on a little different note because you're someone who you debuted or you featured a cookbook on one of our AI shows. I know you like to quite a bit. You're a little bit of a foodie. So what was the best thing you ate this week?
54:39Bijan Maleki:Oh, let's see. Well, it's a bit of a – I wish it was something that I had made. But there's a grocery store near my place and at their butcher counter, they have these really, really good like filet mignon like steakhouse burgers that they prepare so you can just buy the patties pre -made. They're like four bucks a piece, but they're just insane. They're so good. and so I um I bought a couple of those and some nice fresh pretzel rolls and made myself a banging like steakhouse burger the other night and uh it was it was so good um yeah and I did it I like to do it uh in a cast iron pan you know and some people like to grill them but I preheat the cast iron pan get it up to 400 degrees so it's nice and hot so you just slap those burgers down immediately the sizzle and um you know just kind of cook them that way and uh yeah they came out
55:37Kris Bullock:just so good it was so good oh man uh i'm hungry now uh all right so chris uh it's been a week right uh we will obviously be back for our show on monday yes and obviously wednesday so what are you looking for um like what are you going looking for going into this weekend uh i'm well i'm looking
55:59Bijan Maleki:for a bounce really i want to see i want to see this prove to just be a technical mean reversion and not a larger structural breakdown. And so obviously crypto will be the barometer of that because it's going to show what's going on on the weekend trading hours and things like that. So I'll be watching Bitcoin to see if, well, let's see, let me kind of pull up the Bitcoin chart here. What does it look like? It's right at its 20 day moving average. I don't want to see it break too much lower than that and set a new lower low. So that's what I'll be watching for. Can Bitcoin hold its 20-day moving average?
