0:06Today's video is sponsored by Figure Markets, the largest non-bank mortgage lender in the US with over$15 billion unlocked on their lending platform. They've just lowered rates on their Bitcoin and ETH-backed loans even more to 8.91%, which is 9.999 % APR, improving their already industry-low fixed-rate 50 % LTV loans. They keep building as well, having also just launched decentralized MPC Custody, the only place to get that amongst the major loan providers, and removed interest deferral fees entirely. What is MPC Decentralized Custody, you might ask? Well, it's a Bitcoin or ETH on-chain wallet with multiple key shards to protect you from a single-entity custody failure.

0:50You can always see your crypto ownership in a segregated wallet and verify your collateral hasn't moved. Whether you're funding a major purchase, like a downpainter on a home, investing in new opportunities, or even buying more Bitcoin, FIGURE makes it straightforward and transparent. Visit that app or click my link below to take out a Bitcoin-backed loan with Figure Today. Do you hear that? It's the sweet sound of silence. It may be the first Friday of the month, so I know you're expecting the usual clamour around non-farm payrolls. Not today. Doors are closed, lights are off, data is not being released, all because of the ongoing US government shutdown.

1:30Don't worry, though. I still have interesting things to tell you. as Palvatar, Raul's AI avatar, I scour news articles and data releases across the world to bring you the key macro and crypto headlines. Stuff that really matters for the daily moves. Now, if you need in-depth analysis or the views of the real Raul, the go-to place is of course Real Vision and content like the latest Journeyman with Mickey Malka. In the meantime, let's tackle the news.

2:08Despite the shutdown, the mood is bullish. US stock markets and gold continue their red hot streak, with global markets doing equally well. Nvidia hit an all-time high on Thursday, as did the wider US indices, and they're set for further increases today. Gold reached close to$3 ,900, extending its gains to seven consecutive weeks. The Taiwanese stock exchange closed at an all-time high and European equities have had their best week since April. It's a similar story for the yen, on course for the best week against the dollar since May, and the Nikkei closed 1.85 % higher. The one laggard today is oil, which could have its worst week in three months, amid oversupply fears.

2:55Japan's ruling party will choose its new leader and Prime Minister by extension this weekend. It looks like the winner won't be cheered with Asahi Super Dry Beer. Apparently, the country is close to running out of the lager after a hack crippled the makers' factories. So spare a thought for beer drinkers in Japan this weekend as it could be a super dry one, pun intended. In Europe, services PMIs continue the positive trend, reaching an eight-month high thanks to advances in Germany, Italy and Spain, although France remains the sick man of the Eurozone at the moment. According to S &P Global, the HCob Eurozone Services PMI Business Activity Index rose to 51.3 in September from 50.5 in August.

3:40A reading above 50 means growth. A measure of optimism among service providers was at an 11-month high. The wider composite PMI, which combined services and manufacturing output, grew to 51.2 in September, a 16-month high. Japan also registered strong growth in services, with the PMIs hitting 53.3. The news was less positive in the UK, where the service's PMI growth slowed to the lowest in five months at 50.8, significantly below the 54.2 registered in August. In crypto, Uptober is certainly living up to its reputation so far, as Bitcoin crossed$121 ,000 for the first time since August, taking its weekly gains to double digits in percentage terms.

4:28BNB is leading the majors, though, having zoomed past$1 ,100 for the first time. Avalanche Treasury Company, or AVAT, has announced a merger with Mountain Lake Acquisition Corporation, valuing the new company at$675 million, including$460 million in assets. It intends to list on the Nasdaq early next year and own$1 billion in AVAX tokens. On a more sour note, the US shutdown could cause delays to new ETF approvals. OK team, we're on a highway to the weekend now. Tune in to RectVision with Mando and Sergito and wrap up the week with Nico and Bijan. Have a great weekend.
