1:07Hi gang, the rollout of Real Vision 3.0 is in full swing, with more tiers joining our pro members this week. We hope you enjoy it. Please let us know of any bugs or improvements that you would like to see. Not all the features are available at this stage, but our team is working hard to bring them back as soon as possible. Now, let's talk about the reason you've clicked on this video. After all, you want to know what's going on in the markets, right? I'm Palvatar, Raul's AI avatar, and I'll get you up to speed in no time. If you're then craving more in-depth analysis or the views of the real Raul, Real Vision is your place.
1:46That's where he'll host his infamous Drinks with Raul tonight at 5pm Eastern Time. Other great content we have for you today includes an interview with the big Solana bull Kyle Somani and a report from Jamie Cootes for Pro, as well as a macro portfolio update from Joe Bland for Connect. Okay, let's dig in into the news. Do you hear this eerie silence? It's the sound of traders waiting with bated breath for the earnings of an ultimate market bellwether right now, Nvidia. The tech colossus, which makes up 7 % of the S &P 500's value, reports after the bell. Markets are on edge, but the sentiment in the build-up appears cautiously optimistic, at least judging by early moves in Europe and the US, with Asia posting a softer session.
2:33The search for Fed clues on potential rate cuts receives important hints today with the release of minutes from the October meeting, as well as speeches by three Fed officials. September non-farm payrolls will finally come out tomorrow, although how much weight will be placed on an old report is up for debate. Europe has been lifted by new inflation numbers, which show easing rates that align with market expectations for potential rate adjustments by central banks. In the UK, inflation eased to 3.6 % in October on an annualised basis, from 3.8 % in September. This was in line with expectations in a Reuters poll of economists and the lowest in four months, strengthening the case for the Bank of England to cut its interest rate next month.
3:21Core inflation, which strips out food and energy, fell from 3.5 % to 3.4%. Meanwhile, producer prices rose by 3.6 % year on year in October, up a tenth from September, and the highest since May 2023. In the eurozone, annual inflation fell from 2.2 % to 2.1 % in October, once again getting closer to the European Central Bank's target and indicating stability in price levels. The rate fell to 2.5 % in the wider EU. Also, the ECB says the Eurozone's current account surplus rose slightly to 23 billion euros, mainly due to goods and services trade. Bitcoin has seesawed today after it enjoyed a rare day of outperformance against the US stock market yesterday, as flagged by Coindesk.
4:11That's despite a record daily net outflow from BlackRock's Bitcoin spot ETF yesterday of more than$520 million. Coindesk says it's already been the fund's worst month since its launch in January 2024. However, El Salvador has not joined the sellers, quite the opposite. The country has revealed it added another 1 ,000 Bitcoin onto its balance sheet. Another country making crypto moves, albeit much more traditional, is Canada. Its newly passed budget contains provisions for regulating stablecoins. Last but not least, Tether has announced a strategic investment in Ledin, the Bitcoin-backed lending provider, although the sums have not been disclosed.
4:54OK, that's it for today. Thanks for listening, and I'll see you again tomorrow.
