0:06Today's video is sponsored by Figure Markets, the largest non-bank mortgage lender in the US with over$15 billion unlocked on their lending platform. They've just lowered rates on their Bitcoin and ETH-backed loans even more to 8.91%, which is 9.999 % APR, improving their already industry-low fixed-rate 50 % LTV loans. They keep building as well, having also just launched decentralized MPC Custody, the only place to get that amongst the major loan providers, and removed interest deferral fees entirely. What is MPC Decentralized Custody, you might ask? Well, it's a Bitcoin or ETH on-chain wallet with multiple key shards to protect you from a single-entity custody failure.

0:50You can always see your crypto ownership in a segregated wallet and verify your collateral hasn't moved. Whether you're funding a major purchase, like a down payment on a home, investing in new opportunities, or even buying more Bitcoin, FIGURE makes it straightforward and transparent. 1:34you see out there. Now, here's what I've got in store for you. Inflation and its impact on central banks' actions are top of mind today. US Consumer Price Index, or CPI, in August came in a little hot on a monthly basis, but as expected, annualised. The monthly rate of 0.4 % was double the previous month's increase, and was higher than the 0.3 % analysts had expected. Annually, it hit 2.9%. The core reading, which the Fed considers a better gauge of long-term trends as it strips out volatile food and energy prices, came in at 0.3 % for the month, while the 12-month figure was 3.1%, both in line with forecasts.

2:17Of course, that's higher than the Fed's 2 % target, raising the spectre of stagflation, but traders appear to think this should not derail next week's rate cut. This comes after producer prices fell by 0.1 % in August, confounding expectations of a 0.3 % increase. Meanwhile, initial jobless claims unexpectedly went up in the week ending September 6th. While the Fed is widely expected to cut, the European Central Bank did not today. No surprises there. The ECB's latest projections indicate headline inflation averaging approximately around the 2 % target through upcoming years, while short-term and longer-term growth forecasts have been revised slightly upward.

3:00In Japan, the Business Survey Index unexpectedly rose to positive territory at 3.8%, indicating improved business sentiment among large manufacturers. The benchmark stock index Nikkei 225 reached a record high today, boosted by a 10 % surge in SoftBank. Other notable moves include Klarna and Oracle. The Swedish fintech company had a stellar debut on the New York Stock Exchange, with a 30 % jump in its share price on the IPO. Meanwhile, Larry Ellison could party like it's 1992, after briefly becoming the world's richest person. Shares of the cloud computing giant he founded had the biggest one-day percentage gain since the early 90s, according to CNBC.

3:43The company staggered analysts with the level of demand for its services in the latest earnings report. This propelled the S &P 500 to a record high. Finally, the Financial Times reports that the Avalanche Foundation is planning to raise $1 billion to create two treasury companies, which would buy AVAX at a discounted rate from the foundation. The token is one of the best performers among the top 100 cryptocurrencies today. OK, boys and gals, just one more day ahead of us before the weekend. Enjoy Raoul's episode with Michael Howell. I'll see you tomorrow.

4:22Thank you.
