0:05Kris Bullock:Happy Wednesday, everyone, and welcome back to another edition of Trading the Markets with AI. We're joined by Kris Bullock, aka BlastoPlast. And today, as always, the theme is AI. We're tracking the new AI power map that is developing. And Amazon and Anthropic are deepening a really big infrastructure partnership. We're going to talk about the new Bezos-backed project, Prometheus AI startup as well. They're reportedly raising a huge industrial bid. We're going to be talking SK Hynek spending billions to scale AI memory. And Perplexity is pushing deeper into the vertical AI with health. And, you know, there's some questions as well.

0:55Kris Bullock:If we have time about a new mysterious frontier model from Anthropic, we'll talk about that as well. And then in the second half, we're joined by probably the most exciting brand in Web3. OSF is here to break down how he's building rep drinks with AI and Claude. We're going to dive into all of that. Really excited for that conversation. Chris, happy Wednesday, my friend. How are you?

1:21Bijan Maleki:Doing well, doing well. Excited. Looking forward to this.

1:24Kris Bullock:Yeah, absolutely. So why don't we break down what's at the top of the AI news cycle right now? Obviously, Amazon is basically the story of the week between Bezos' Project Prometheus and their partnership with Anthropic.

1:45Bijan Maleki:For sure, for sure. I thought this was super interesting because not only like at the same time did Amazon invest$25 billion, Anthropic invested$100 billion into Amazon basically into their cloud infrastructures. And also, it's interesting, too, because Amazon has invested tons into open AI as well. They're not really doing much of their own. They're basically pouring money into the likes of Anthropic, into open AI, and it's just becoming this symbiotic relationship between the two of them, or the three of them, rather, where Amazon is leveraging the inference power from these AI companies, and in turn, they're leveraging the compute power from Amazon.

2:26Bijan Maleki:So, yeah, yeah. And I'm not surprised. I think this will continue to Amazon. I can see them reaching out to other companies, too, and it all becoming one sort of big singular type situation.

2:39Kris Bullock:Yeah, this is interesting because this is what we talk about often, right? Picks and shovels. Obviously, the headline is Amazon is investing$25 billion into Anthropic. But like you said, it's underneath that as well as the cloud, the chip platforms, the infrastructure is really a huge play. And that's evidenced by the$100 billion going back to Amazon over the next decade as well. So it's going to continue to be a very important part of this AI story.

3:08Bijan Maleki:It's interesting to see what Amazon is going to actually do with that AI because, you know, which we'll get into the next article. They're using, you know, through Prometheus, they're using AI for things like robotics and, you know, actual warehouse workers and sorting things on the logistics side of things. But what are they doing with these models, you know, because they're not offering an AI product like a chat product or anything. So are they going to basically be integrating this AI intelligence into their existing Amazon platform, the consumer-facing platform? or to what degree do they actually leverage this element of AI?

3:43Bijan Maleki:Yeah, I'm curious because I don't think that's really known yet.

3:47Kris Bullock:Yeah, Lam, you know what? That's a perfect segue to jump right into that, right? Because Business Insider has just reported that Bezos' Project Prometheus is raising$10 billion at around a$38 billion valuation. Like you said, Chris, focus on physical AI for real world industrial systems. So I mean, this is huge, right? And$10 billion is not what a normal, I mean, granted, Jeff Bezos isn't just your normal startup founder, but that's not like what a normal startup raises if they're just like, you know, trying to start a company. That's like serious industrial level applications that they're working towards.

4:25Bijan Maleki:I know it's crazy anymore. And I know we've talked about this in previous episodes, how it's like, what, it's almost like, what's the point of going public for half of these companies anymore? Like people go public, companies go public to like raise capital to like do projects like this. And these companies will be able to bring in tens of billions of dollars, sometimes even hundreds of billions of dollars, you know, on the private side before, before ever even thinking of doing an IPO and going public and any of that. So it's just crazy how that whole sector has, has changed. But anyway, yeah, no, I'm really curious about this too because like I said, this is all going towards physical AI, towards real world industrial processes, manufacturing, engineering, semiconductor production, warehouse, logistics, all of that stuff.

5:10Bijan Maleki:And I think that that's – I'm so bullish on that side of AI. I continue to be and I continue to sort of hammer that in every episode how like, yeah, the chat stuff is cool. The automation is cool, whatever. The co-work is cool. But like the physical stuff, the robotics, that's what really gets me excited. And I think that that's going to be just I can't wait to see that whole next wave, you know, come come to fruition. And and from an investment standpoint, too, I think that that's really the exciting place to be right now, which we'll also get into in the next couple of articles. Yeah.

5:43Kris Bullock:Speaking of exciting places to be in terms of investment standpoints and what's going to be really important, memory is huge, right? So SK Hynix is investing$13 billion in a new plant in South Korea that is focused on meeting the AI memory demand. They're increasing their capacity for just that increased demand in AI memory. And we're seeing it with DRAM as well. We'll check in on that ETF also. But Chris, what are your thoughts on SK Hynix and what they're doing?

6:17Bijan Maleki:I mean, just the notion that a company can spend 12, almost$13 billion on a single manufacturing facility is just bonkers. I mean, like, I can't even wrap my head around that. And the fact that they can do this and know that there's immediate demand, immediate profitability, sort of immediate return on that investment, you know, just speaks to like the demand that you're saying, like I said. So yeah, and this is this ties directly into the physical AI, the physical world, the robotics world, because all of this is going to be needed to power all of this edge compute, all of these humanoid robots, all of these factory automation systems, again, you know, going all the way to, you know, home appliances and things like that, There's so much memory that's going to be needed.

7:05Bijan Maleki:And these guys, SK Hynix, are pretty much right at the top. Them, Micron, Samsung are like the leaders in this space. And if you go and look at any of those stock prices for any of those, they're all just like parable. They look like meme coins or whatever like two years ago. And so it's crazy to see. And it's crazy to know that it's just getting started with these. Like everybody's saying, oh, why would I even touch Micron or why would I touch SK Hynix right now? That stock is through the roof. It looks ridiculous. It looks straight up. But like these guys, meanwhile, these guys are throwing$13 billion at a new facility to continue building this out because they're that confident that there's going to be that much demand going forward to meet all of that.

7:46Bijan Maleki:And so that's just crazy. Yeah.

7:50Kris Bullock:Oh my God. And another topic that we've discussed quite a bit on this show is about AI and being used in the health field and just being used by medical experts. Obviously, last week, we talked about how it might not be the best place to go for medical advice. But perplexity is they're working on that. And they're trying to address that. Why don't you tell us a little bit about what's going on there, Chris?

8:15Bijan Maleki:So yeah, it was interesting, because I got an email just like last week, like, I think the day or two after we did our show from perplexity, because I'm a pro subscriber saying, you know, here's perplexity health, go try it out. And so I thought it was brand new. But then I clicked on the link in the email and it took me to a blog post that was a little over a month old. And so I was like, what's going on there? It turns out that maybe this was the kind of just the announcement. But down at the bottom, it says, we're going to start rolling this out in the coming weeks. So maybe the email I got was more, it's now available to me.

8:46Bijan Maleki:And so I actually, I clicked on it. I was curious. The first thing I thought of, as soon as I saw this was, okay, well, what's the deal with the security? Obviously, who's going to just like connect all their medical records to this. And so it does say specifically that it is end-to-end encrypted, both in a resting state and in a transmit state, and that none of the data is ever shared or sold to third parties or accessed anytime outside of you, the end user, actually querying this data. They don't use it to train anything. It's completely isolated. And then not Not only that too, they have like safety rails built in in terms of like when you – if you ask it a question, it's going to be like, yeah, I know you need to go talk to a doctor about that.

9:32Bijan Maleki:I'm not qualified to answer this. Don't take medical advice from me. Like what it's actually really suited for is things like tracking your – say tracking your lab work for example or tracking your doctor visits. Also, if you use a fitness app, like a Fitbit or like an Oura ring or something like that, you can connect that to it and it'll track like your health data. And it's kind of cool. I actually hooked up a couple of things to it just to sort of see what it would look like. I connected my ring to it and I connected one of my, you know, like your MyChart app or whatever for your doctor. So it pulled up a bunch of blood work and you can ask it questions.

10:08Bijan Maleki:It gives you a nice dashboard, you know, showing you here's how you're looking this week with your step count and your sleep. and blah, blah, blah, you know. But the cool thing is when you tie it in with perplexity computer, you can have it say, you can have it help you with like, say I wanna go on a, I wanna lose weight or I wanna train for a marathon or I wanna achieve some health goal. It will take all of your health information that it has access to and tailor a specific, you know, workout plan or training regime or diet or any of that stuff and help you, you know, navigate you through that process.

10:45Bijan Maleki:And I was like, okay, sure. That's cool. Like I could see use for that. And so I'm going to kind of dip my toes in a little further over the next week or two and integrate further and actually see what it looks like and see what it can do for me. I still haven't decided if it's something I would use fully, but it is interesting. It is interesting. I like the fact that they acknowledged right out of the gate that, yeah, we know that people are concerned about their privacy here. And so we want to get ahead of that by saying, look, this is encrypted. It's only accessed by this very specific portion of our platform.

11:19Bijan Maleki:It's not public. Nobody can see this. And just also the guardrails built in too. So I like where they're going with this. They're not trying to replace your doctor necessarily. They're just trying to make it so that you can maybe have a deeper level of engagement with your doctor and then also achieve health goals and things like that. And so I think there's a place for this and I think it's useful. And so, yeah, I'm going to, like I said, I'll kind of dig a little deeper and see where it gets me.

11:45Kris Bullock:Yeah, I can see the value in that, particularly with uploading like charts and tailoring it specifically to a diet plan to help you with like whatever kind of health issue you have that requires a specific diet to kind of maintain or manage. That is interesting. I think also, as with all new things, it's they're always taboo when you start, right? I think online dating, for example, like nobody wanted to use that. And now I feel like it's, I see commercials for like Bumble and like everything, like all over YouTube. And now it's like, it feels like everyone's using it. So at some point, I think it's just going to become a norm where people just stop caring and they just continue to use it.

12:23Kris Bullock:But perplexity, I feel like they're the ones that I would want doing this because they seem to have built themselves up with the reputation of being kind of a reputable source for research. And then also, you know, using all of their kind of source information in their responses as well. So I guess if anyone's going to do it, probably good that they're the ones tackling it.

12:45Bijan Maleki:And I like it too, because, you know, if you think about it, nobody's really going to advocate for your own health as much as you, you know, your doctor, they see tons and tons of patients every day. They're not going to dig deep in the weeds and look through everything and kind of spend hours looking at all this and getting insight to sort of help you achieve your health goals. They're going to take the whatever the 15 minutes you spend with them two or three times a year, maybe if that even, and that's going to be their guidance. And so if you can use something like this as a tool to maximize those visits with your doctor and those interactions with your doctor, I think that that's only going to help you.

13:21Bijan Maleki:That's only going to help them help you. And so I definitely see a place for this because I think anybody would agree that the quality of care that we get, especially here in the US, isn't great with doctors. A lot of times they're busy. A lot of times the visits are very short. And you're just like, what the hell did I even do that for? Like, you know, they tell you to go get some labs, and then they call you a week later and say, here, do this or do that. And like, that's kind of the extent of it, you know, and if you really want to like take charge of your health, and like benefit from that, that doctor patient relationship, I think having something like this to really give you a lot of information to come to them with, will only improve people's outcomes.

14:01Bijan Maleki:And so, yeah, I like it in principle, I think as long as it's executed, properly, I think it's a good thing. So a quick break in your regular programming. 14:25Kris Bullock:We'll see how it goes. Chris, why don't we take a look at some charts, see how the market's doing. I definitely want to check in on some memory stuff as well. Oh, there you go. You have it right up right now.

14:40Bijan Maleki:So, yeah, I think we talked about this last week. So this is DRAM. This is a new ETF that launched that is comprised of kind of the three big global main RAM companies, memory companies, SK Hynix, Samsung, and Micron. And it's pretty much done, you know, it's pretty much been up only. Granted, it's only been out for 20 days, so there's not a lot to go on here chart-wise. That's why I've got it on the hourly here. But yeah, I mean, again, this speaks to what we've been saying in terms of the massive appetite for memory. And if we look at a couple other ones just real quick, I've got Micron here.

15:16Bijan Maleki:I don't have Hynix because it trades on a foreign exchange. Hold on. Let me look at this. Let's look at this on the weekly. But yeah, just Micron. Micron particularly since about a year ago has just been, I mean, on a crazy tear. What is this? All the way, when did it bottom back in May? So in the last year, it's up 688%. So that's, again, that's like, that's altcoin tear. I say this over and over. This is your alt season right here. This is where the attention is going. And it also applies to not just memory, but also like high performance, high bandwidth storage, like, where is it? Spring is here.

16:08Bijan Maleki:New York City is bustling. And I just finished a clean of my apartment this past weekend. And boy, did it feel great. You know what also feels great? Trust me, your finances will finally feel clean when you join Monarch. Use Real Vision at marnach.com to get your first half year off at just$50. That's 50 % off your first year at monarch.com with code Real Vision. sandisk uh western digital like sandisk is another one that's just been crazy also the same thing sandisk has gone i think sandisk has gone up even more um since it bottomed here yeah 3300 like and i looked at this one i i kind of was paying attention to it sometime around september october november when it stalled out here and i'm like i don't know should i should i wait?

17:37Bijan Maleki:Should I not? And even then it's gone up, you know, 400 % since then. So SanDisk has been one that's crazy. Again, Western Digital, Seagate, like those big, those storage, you know, OG storage companies that have been out forever that make hard drives and solid state drives now and things like that. Nobody makes hard drives anymore. But anyway, yeah, those are where it's at. Like the hardware side of storage and memory just ripping and continuing to have demand, I mean, for the foreseeable future.

18:10Kris Bullock:So like, what do you do if you're someone who's like, you know, you're wanting to start investing in AI, maybe you're like, all right, I got some dry powder on the side. I'm not throwing it into alts right now. I want to throw it into AI. But like, everything kind of tells you, I don't know, this chart looks so up right now, I feel like I'll be buying the top. And you said you were just talking about how you felt that way. And it literally just like 4X since then. Like, what are your thoughts on that?

18:38Bijan Maleki:Well, with stocks, it's a little different than with crypto. Certainly what you want to be looking for, thankfully, all this stuff is public. You can look at their earnings reports. You can look at their forward guidance, things like that. You can look at their projections for the next quarters. You can look at their year on your revenue. You can look at their order, not their order books, but like you can see if they have order backlogs, like that's usually publicly reported or at the very least publicly acknowledged in their shareholder calls, quarterly shareholder calls and things like that.

19:08Bijan Maleki:So a lot of this information is verifiable, whereas like a crypto, it's just opaque. Like you have no idea. You see the price going up and you don't really know who's buying what or who's doing what or why. And you're just like, I think I'm going to buy. I think that should, it should keep going up. I I don't know. So that's the great thing with stocks is you can actually verify a lot of that. And so if you can confirm that there are confirmed orders on the books, there is confirmed increased projections and earnings and things like that, you can at least get a sense that this train is likely to keep running, at least from a fundamental standpoint.

19:42Bijan Maleki:And then you can kind of go from a technical standpoint and look at the chart and go, well, it does look overextended. I mean, we're sitting at, you know, a D mark, like a, what is this? A sequential 11 here. It's way above the moving averages, even on the weekly timeframe here, it's way above the 10 week. It's way above the 20 week, maybe drill down and look at it on the, on the daily in terms of the moving averages and go, well, okay, it is touching right up against the 10 day. And I know if, if anybody's watched our Monday TA show, I talk a lot about how, if something isn't a strong trend, the easiest way to kind of feel good about jumping on board is to catch it when it like mean reverts back to its 20-day moving average.

20:24Bijan Maleki:Typically, you'll at least get a decent buy. You'll know it has sort of, you're catching it in sort of the ebb stage of the ebb and flow stage where it's likely hitting a short term, an interim lull, and you're likely, you know, likely to catch another rally. So that's what I would do. We can see it is touching right up against the 10 day right now, whether or not it actually gets down to the 20, that remains to be seen. Even on the daily, it's not very overextended actually just started a brand new DMARC count, though it does have 11 and 12s on the sequential and the combo, but on the setup, it's only at a two.

21:00Bijan Maleki:I don't know, you know, like I said, just look for touches on the moving averages are generally a reliable way to trade or rather a reliable way to get decent entries on something that's just trending solid like this. So that's one way I would look to approach it.

21:18Kris Bullock:Awesome. All right, guys. Well, that does it for this portion. So again, at the beginning, at the top of the show, we teased that we were going to talk about wreck Recdrinks, talk about how a real company is using AI to grow. And we have the founder of Recdrinks, OSF, joining us here today. So why don't we bring him up? Ovi, thanks for joining us. How are you doing today? Yeah, good. Thanks. Thanks a lot having me. No, it's our pleasure. So real quick, before we go to the Real Vision platform and you walk us through what you're doing with AI. Why don't you just, I guess, briefly tell the audience what you're going to be talking about today.

22:02Yeah, sure. I mean, look, we've been, I've been very AI curious, like many people probably watching the show, messing around with Claude, ChatGPT, et cetera. I think it's very easy to fall down a rabbit hole of just doing random things with AI, which aren't necessarily productive or furthering a goal that you have. Obviously, Rekt and Rekt Drinks is my main focus. and that's what I've been working on. So I found ways to actually integrate AI and use systems that we built with Claude into what we're doing. So I'd like to spend a bit of time talking about how we've actually used it, where I feel like we've done stuff where it's not just like, oh, that was cool, but more stuff like, wow, this is actually pretty game-changing for us.

22:45It made a big difference for us.

22:47Kris Bullock:That's fantastic. All right, everyone, head on over to realvision.com and join us for this great session that we're about to have. We'll see you guys over on the platform.
