In short

Markets review focused on whether a “bigger move” is coming, starting with Bitcoin’s technical inflection and then a deep dive into altcoins outperforming Bitcoin (especially those above their 200-day moving averages).

Guest backgrounds

Bijan Maleki hosts “Trading the Markets” and is joined by Kris Bullock (aka BlastoPlast), who analyzes charts and altcoin fundamentals.

Key claims

Bitcoin’s mean reversion after a dip is “exhausted” at resistance around 65k–65.8k; momentum waned (tailed-off volume) though weekly RSI bullish divergence remains. Alt outperformance is attributed to “real-world use case,” revenue/profit, and value returned to token holders; Bitcoin dominance leveling off while others dominance rises supports alt strength.

Notable examples

Sky AI (speculative, not in production); Jito (ETH liquid staking; rally driven by BitGet promo yields, possible buyback mechanism—wait and see); DeXe (DAO creation; price action “iffy” due to limited token-holder value accrual); Injective (finance-focused L1; fees accrue, needs more real usage); Lighter (Hyperliquid competitor; ZK proofs; premium-fee model; strong backers); Aerodrome (Coinbase-linked; predictive liquidity allocation model); Hyperliquid/Perp (relative strength; US legal chatter catalyst); Near (buybacks/burns; overheated but promising); Stellar (real partnerships but mimetic/overvalued legacy behavior); Ondo (tokenized finance; improving volume but watch token overhang/unlocks); JST (Tron DeFi “beta play” with buyback narrative).

0:06Kris Bullock:Happy Wednesday, everyone, and welcome to Trading the Markets. I'm Bijan Maleki, and of course, I'm joined by Kris Bullock, a.k.a. BlastoPlast. Happy Wednesday, Richie Rich. Markets are doing their thing. We're going to talk about it all. Chris has a whole bunch of things to go through. We're going to take a look at some alts today. Obviously, we'll talk about Bitcoin and whatever else is on your mind. If you guys have any questions, just drop them in the live chat and we will try to get to as many as we can. And if you are watching us on X or on Yahoo Finance or if you are on the free version of a Real Vision membership, join us on Connect to ask your questions to Chris directly.

0:54Kris Bullock:He'll take a look at whatever chart you want into, basically. Chris, happy Wednesday. How are you doing?

1:02Bijan Maleki:Happy Wednesday, indeed. I have a bunch of stuff today. I've got a good show today. I've spent most of the morning digging into just which alts are outperforming, because we're seeing a ton of altcoins that are doing well that are actually above their 200-day moving averages. And I know I kind of talk about a list of kind of the usual suspects each week, the likes of Venice and Hyperliquid and things like that. But I wanted to kind of do a deep dive and really look at what's going on and what is breaking out because we are seeing some resilience in crypto. And I wanted to just make sure that I had a really solid picture of what that looked like, you know, because there have been a number of digital assets that have outpaced Bitcoin in the last 90 days.

1:49Bijan Maleki:Some of them are a little, you know, speculative and iffy as per usual, but I wanted to see if there was some actual real substance there, you know, something that maybe I was overlooking that's been flying under my radar and, you know, see if there's anything else that we need to be paying attention to. So I'm probably going to spend the bulk of the show focusing on that list. We'll probably just go through the coin market cap, you know, alt season an index and look at some of that stuff and use that as a reference. But I think, of course, let's start with Bitcoin. Let's kind of go through that.

2:25Bijan Maleki:Curious about online trading, but haven't taken the first step yet? You're not alone, and Plus 500 Futures is a great place to start. The futures markets are moving fast, and with Plus 500, you can explore popular assets like oil, gold, the S &P 500, Bitcoin, and more. From crypto to commodities, there's always something happening. The platform is super easy to use, so you can trade on the go right from your phone. And you can get started with just$100 and jump into the action. See something interesting? Once your account is open, you can trade it in just a couple of clicks. And if you're not quite ready yet, you can practice with a free demo account.

3:01Bijan Maleki:No risk, no pressure. With over 20 years of experience, Plus500 makes trading more accessible than ever. Check it out at plus500.com. Trading in future involves risk of loss and is not suitable for everyone. Not all applicants will qualify. Plus 500, it's trading with a plus.

3:23Bijan Maleki:And see where Bitcoin is because even with all these alts that are doing well, we still need Bitcoin to really be doing well to add fuel to this larger fire. And so we know we had a big dip down in Bitcoin last week. You know, we had a basically a double bottom. It came back down and got back down to around the 50 or I'm sorry, 60 ,000 level. And it has been one thing.

3:46Kris Bullock:Sorry to cut you off. I don't know if you're looking at a chart right now, but your screen isn't shared. Good call.

3:54Bijan Maleki:Forgot to share my screen. Thank you. All right, here we go. Much, Much, much better. Okay, thank you. Yes. Starting over. So yes, let's take a look at it. I've got a chart of Bitcoin up here. We got the big bounce down. It ended on a DMARC9 and we've bounced back up there. And so typically when we get a big extension, a big deviation away from the 20-day moving average, we often get a big snap back to that. And if we zoom in here, that's really exactly what we've received. You know, a big snapback right back to the mean. We've completed a mean reversion. Also note that it kind of lines up perfectly with this underside, this previous support turn resistance level at around 65 ,000 or so, 65 ,800, give or take.

4:46Bijan Maleki:And we did poke above it for a day. We closed above it. And then yesterday we closed back below it. And right now, today we're hovering kind of right on the line, right exactly, right at a DMK9 also. So this bounce has basically gotten exhausted. It's completed. The momentum has officially waned. We're at resistance and we're exhausted. So it's pretty much, I would say this is a pretty key inflection point right now. It's basically, do we get rejected here? Do we roll back over? Or can Can we actually turn this back into support? Can we invalidate the Steamarch 9 and can we kind of hold back up in this upper range or was this just a mean reversion in a otherwise daily downtrend that we're in now?

5:32Bijan Maleki:So that's the big question with Bitcoin. Obviously that remains to be seen. I don't like the fact that volume is kind of tailed off. We had a big spike in volume and it's now way below the moving average here. However, on the weekly timeframe, I will point out that this bullish divergence on the RSI is still holding steady. You know, this line here we got, oops, you know, it completed a low here and then a higher low here. And it's still holding steady. So that's cool. I hope that that remains the case. And we still kind of carry some of this weekly momentum, at least that we've got, or at least a lack of downside momentum on the weekly timeframe.

6:18Bijan Maleki:But yeah, no, key inflection, like I said, Bitcoin is at resistance and it's time to either put up or shut up and we'll see if it rolls back over or if it doesn't. And so that's what we're looking at with Bitcoin. But if we look at a lot of the other alt market, we can see that, you know, here on the left is Bitcoin dominance, big flush out. It's kind of leveled off over the last couple of weeks. But in the meantime, you know, others dominance has just been steadily climbing upwards. And so this is telling me, even though like the majors, if we look at the likes of Ethereum and Solana and SWE and Tron and XRP and BNB, maybe not Tron.

6:57Bijan Maleki:But, you know, the big like the top 10, kind of the big the big guns out there. Most of them aren't actually looking even as good as Bitcoin. Like just real quickly, a few, if we look at Ethereum, for example, it's not even, I mean, yes, it mean reverted like Bitcoin did right back to its 20 day moving average. But it was well below that support resistance level, that horizontal support resistance level to begin with. So it's not even anywhere close to snapping back to the previous range. It's kind of just mean reverting back to its moving average. Same thing with Solana. A little bit above the 20-day, which is cool.

7:34Bijan Maleki:But also, again, nowhere close to the horizontal support resistance level. Kind of the same thing with Swee. Little bit better still, but still below the line. You get the idea. Like, the big major alts aren't faring as well as a lot of other alts. And so that kind of leads us into, well, okay, which alts are doing well and does it make sense? Like, why are they doing well? What's going on here? It still is a lot to do with, you know, the things that I talk about. Like it's got to be an altcoin that has real world like use case, like the likes of Hyperliquid or Venice. You know, we talk about real world activity outside of crypto, like people wanting to use it.

8:16Bijan Maleki:Also, the project has to be making money. It's got to be generating revenue, generating profit. And it's got to be given some of that profit back to the token holders. Those are kind of the key metrics that we talk about week in and week out of what makes for a good altcoin. And so, like I said, I wanted to see if there were more beyond just the small handful that I keep talking about. And in fact, there are. And so not a ton, but some. And it's worth knowing because I think that it's important to get these on your radar. So what I'm looking at is this. We've shown this. This isn't a new chart.

8:52Bijan Maleki:This is a common page that I look at. It's the CoinMarketCap Alt Season Index. And right now it's showing it's just kind of in the middle. It's 46 out of 100. That's not really the key thing. That's not the point. The point is there's 46 that are outpacing Bitcoin. And of those 46, you know, a good chunk of them are in the green over the last 90 days. And so I've spent, like I said, most of the morning looking through this list, trying to weed out the ones that maybe had a sudden spike and rocketed up into the top 200 for no real good reason, or is it top 100? No, top 100. So whatever, sometimes they'll get a spike and they'll rock it up into the top 100 and it'll kind of throw, it'll skew the 90-day average off.

9:38Bijan Maleki:And so you want to actually dig in and look at each one of these and make sure it's not just some kind of flash in the pan kind of thing that's going to just bleed out versus something that, you know, maybe there was a fundamental catalyst, maybe something changed, maybe they upgraded their network, maybe whatever, you know, that kind of gives it some lasting staying power. And so I'm going to dig into a handful of these and look and see what's going on and if this is something we should pay attention to. So, yeah. Let's start. Let's dive into it, yeah. I can't wait.

10:09Kris Bullock:I need to know what else I should be buying.

10:12Bijan Maleki:So I'm going to start with this first one, Sky AI. I had never heard of this project before. I'm like, well, this is interesting. It's got AI in the name. It's a new-ish project. So I'm like, what's the deal with Sky AI? So I clicked on Sky AI. It is number, well, it's now 102. So this is kind of telling already. It bumped up into the top 100 for a minute. It's now 102. So it's out of the top 100. We can see just from its all-time price history, it has been largely flat. and then it had a huge bump and then it's kind of been wobbly ever since. And so what is Sky AI? It turns out it's an MCP interface.

10:54Bijan Maleki:It's basically a blockchain that enables agents to gather and collect blockchain data. It functions almost like an oracle in a way. Like it allows, like if you have a, say for example, you have an AI agent and you wanted to collect data on what the token activity for a certain token on a certain blockchain is doing or what the market cap is or what the liquidity pools look like or just some kind of on-chain data for a given token on a given blockchain. And you want to use an AI agent to collect that data. So an MCP interface is basically that. It's like a kind of think of it as more like a universal API for an agent to query to get blockchain data.

11:36Bijan Maleki:So that's cool. You know, like there's, I can see where there's some use for that. But basically, it's early days. It's not in production yet. It's about a$359 million market cap. So this is really just speculative price action based on the promise of some cool tech that could be useful, but like I said, isn't live yet. So this is something I'm going to dismiss. It's something maybe I'll keep in the back of my mind, but I'm not going to go buying a bunch of Sky AI right now, knowing that there's not even a main net. It's not, like I said, it's not in production. You're just this is speculative price action for people who are bored in crypto.

12:12Kris Bullock:So the theory behind this, like being a revenue generating project, is that people will pay to use their API to get that data. Right. I guess that's the theory behind the generating revenue.

12:23Bijan Maleki:Yeah, exactly. But like I said, we have to wait until there's actually people using it. And right now there's not. So not something we're going to pursue. Venice is number three. Obviously, we know about Venice. That's when we talk about on the regular. We know Venice has real use case, real world adoption, good fees, all of that. So we don't need to dig into Venice. I'm just going to skip that. Beat, we actually talked about last week. Beat still is more in the category, I would put, of it's cool, it's fun. It's more of like a memetic thing. There's not actual real money flowing through there that's going to drive revenue to the token holders.

13:00Bijan Maleki:It's more, I mean, it's a music thing. Like I said, it's cool. You know what it is, Bijan. But probably not worth, you know, putting a bunch of money into at the moment. JITO was one that was interesting to me. JITO is, if you don't know what JITO is, it's a liquid staking protocol for Ethereum, the biggest one. In fact, it's probably the biggest single protocol for the ETH token in existence. And so I'm like, where did Gito come out of nowhere from? And why is it suddenly, you know, up 153 % in the last 90 days? Like, what's going on there? You know, and so I dug in, I dug into Gito. Let's actually, let's pull up the Gito chart because this is, this is one that's at least worth looking at.

13:43Fine.

13:44Bijan Maleki:Coinbase. So interesting. I mean, Gito has broken up above its 200 day moving average, which again, you can't save for most crypto assets. So this is noteworthy. I mean, it's largely in fact, it's up on the year, which also you can't say for most crypto assets. Now, it's still nowhere close to where it was back in the likes of its September, October high. But unlike Bitcoin, unlike all the majors, it has kind of broken through that big threshold that we keep looking at. You know how we talk about I mean, all all of the whole show last week I spent talking about. we'll know when the Bitcoin bear market is over, when Bitcoin starts making meaningful closes above its 200-day moving average.

14:26Bijan Maleki:And here we have JITO starting to do that. And so, you know, that gets my attention. Now, what does this mean and what's going on here? It turns out, upon a little bit further research, that there's a promotional campaign going on through BitGet. It's driving a lot of the short-term price action. There's a campaign going on that's basically driving much, much higher yields towards JITO and JITO holders that is driving this. Now, in addition to that, there's a lot of rumor, there's a lot of chatter going on about them instituting a new buyback mechanism within their token structure, which obviously would have a lot more staying power than simply just a promotional campaign.

15:08Bijan Maleki:So what we need to see here is can this sustain once the promotional campaign ends and does this buyback mechanism actually come to fruition and create a real meaningful reason to hold Jito. So that kind of dissuaded me a little bit. This is still something I'm going to pay attention to because certainly it's noteworthy that it is above this moving average threshold, but you never want that to be off the back of a promotion because promotions don't last forever. And the buying is only coming because of the high of yields that are coming from this promotion. So I don't know how long this promotion is going to last.

15:44Bijan Maleki:I don't know what kind of money they're putting into it, but that's a finite thing. And so we need the, like the buyback mechanism obviously is a much more sustainable thing that will sustain a rally. So it's a wait and see on Gito, but this is interesting to me. And so this is something that I'm going to kind of keep looking at and keep paying attention to. And we'll, you know, we'll circle back around maybe each week and see how this is going. But But I wanted to call this out because, again, it's different. It's not something we've been talking about. And it's interesting. So moving on to the next one.

16:20Bijan Maleki:We've got a few in here. Oh, DEXE. So actually, the very next one on the list. This is one I think we've talked about it a little bit. This one is interesting to me because DEXE is a, it's like a DAO management, a DAO creation protocol. And I'm like, why is this ripping out of nowhere? Like, what's going on here? Why is this even interesting?

16:43Bijan Maleki:Like, I thought DAOs were so last cycle, you know, kind of thing. But then I looked at the chart and I'm like, wait a minute, what's going on here? What's this about? Because not only is it well up on the year, it's actually up above its previous October high, you know? And so I'm like, this is interesting. um so what's the volume like um i don't hold on why don't i have oh i'm looking at the the wrong chart um i don't know let's see let me find a chart that has volume on like spot volume um i'll just pick binance uh okay i guess just okay volume you could say it's it's up and down it's iffy. Momentum, you know, a bit of a pretty good bearish divergence here in terms of RSI momentum.

17:39Bijan Maleki:So it's not like the strongest. And the reason it's not the strongest in the end is because this protocol doesn't make a whole lot of money and it doesn't accrue, you know, value back to token holders. So the price action is iffy at best. I don't really know what's holding this up outside of just kind of some mimetic price action more than anything. So it wasn't enough to kind of get my attention. Like I said, it's just, it's just interesting. It's just iffy. I don't know what's driving this, but it's, it's suspect kind of like that Ohm protocol, you know, last year, how it was like, it just ran and ran and ran.

18:16Bijan Maleki:And I'm like, what's actually going on here? This doesn't, this doesn't add up in my head. I'm not saying Ohm is, I'm not saying, you know, this DXC is, is whatever a scam or anything like that. I'm not saying that at all. I'm just saying that the price action doesn't add up to the valuation that it has. And so, but I wanted to call it out because this was a noteworthy structure. I mean, the fact that, again, it's largely up on the year. It's up past its previous peak in October and November, which hardly anything can make that claim, was just interesting to me. So, but anyway, yeah, moving along.

18:53Bijan Maleki:H was another one that jumped out at me. I'm like, what is H and why is it up here? Basically, it's a it's a bio identification protocol, kind of like world token or whatever that is. Yeah, world coin. Yeah, world coin. Yeah. It's like that. A similar concept. Lots of overhead, lots of unlocks to go. I'm just like, I don't want to. That's not that that's not worth looking into. Zcash. We talk about Zcash. Oh, here's world coin right below it. World coin if evaluation to this was strange to me. The Luna Classic token way up here. I don't even I was like, I don't even want to know what's going on with that.

19:28Bijan Maleki:Then we have hyper liquid, which obviously is justified. We know why it's it's as high as it is. Injective was really interesting to me. Now, injective is a curious case because injective, if you may or may not know, let's look at injective here. Injective was like the the big kind of mega. It was the token of 2023. like if you were back early in this four-year cycle um 2023 injective just blew the market away i mean it outpaced almost everything out there it was like one of the best tokens in the space and i was like what is you know what is the dealer because i mean it did you know 3 ,300 40 3 ,400 percent uh and then suddenly it just kind of peaked and has gone down only ever It's interesting because it's I like it because it's a financial based layer one.

20:19Bijan Maleki:It's, you know, it's it's design. It's focused. It's a specialty layer one that focuses on finance. Like, think of it like like the hype EVM blockchain, but without the benefit of Hyperliquid running on it or some big major decks running on it. You know, so it's got that same type of specialized financial infrastructure, but it just doesn't have a big player. kind of using the block space yet. So it's interesting to me because it still has a lot going on. I think it's in the right sector. It's done a bunch of upgrades lately, like recently to its main net that makes it more useful for perps and stable coins and tokenization of RW, you know, real world assets.

21:02Bijan Maleki:But the problem still remains, it just doesn't have a ton of real world usage. But it does tick, you know, it ticks the boxes, it accrues fees back to the token holders. And it's one of those that I think if it can gain some actual real world adoption, it could do well, it's in the right sector, it's got competitive architecture, it's actually above or I think it's at or, you know, it's right at its 200 day moving average. So it's, it's interesting to me, like, this is one that I would also continue to pay attention to. Because like I said, we know that the market can and does value this asset.

21:38Bijan Maleki:I mean, 2023, it was insane. So I would definitely keep this on your radar, your watch list also, you know, and see if it can establish some momentum, one, just from a token standpoint, and two, can it gain some big players? Can it get some actual big usage on it? You know, something the likes of, I'm not saying it's got to get a Hyperliquid because Hyperliquid is very much, it's a unicorn, you know, but something along those lines, like a big Dex that starts to make waves or some big tokenization of stocks or something going on on there. I think if it can manage to do that, this could have some real legs.

22:19Bijan Maleki:So I like Injective. This was an interesting one to see kind of work its way into the mix here. So I would say add it to your watch list. It's not a buy yet for me. It still has a lot to do to prove itself, but an interesting one for sure. So let's see. Meme M is a meme coin layer one.

22:42Kris Bullock:Yeah.

Read the full transcript

22:44Bijan Maleki:I don't know about this one. I think it's really overvalued. It's very concentrated. It's got a lot of unlocks. It's got little verifiable income. It's a bit of a big opaque, just, I can't do anything with that. Lit. Lit is another hyperliquid competitor. Lit is interesting. Let's look at Lit real quick.

23:10Kris Bullock:Say, lighter.

23:12Bijan Maleki:No. I don't know. We'll look at Bitsting. So, oh, I need one with more chart history. Hold on.

23:26Bijan Maleki:So, Lighter is cool. Lighter is a direct competitor to Hyperliquid. It runs on ETH, so it's a little bit unique in that regard, as opposed to running on kind of its own, you know, Layer 1 or whatever, like Hyperliquid does. It uses ZK proofs, which makes it a little bit unique. Interestingly, too, it doesn't have fees for just regular standard accounts, only premium accounts. Like if you're a big whale player using lighter, then you have to pay fees. But if you're just an everyday small fish, it's free to use essentially, which is interesting too. It also has strong backers like Robinhood and Coinbase.

24:02Bijan Maleki:It's got decent traction. It's actually got, you know, billions of open interest flowing through it. Not a ton, a small fraction compared to Hyperliquid, but it's a legitimate player in the space. I think it's worth paying attention to. Like I said, it still has a long way to go to come anywhere near to what Hyperliquid is doing, but it ticks the boxes. It doesn't burn as much of its fees as Hyperliquid does. It doesn't have as much overall usage, so you're not going to make as much money using it or holding the token. But it's worthy of having in the mix. It's interesting. I don't think it's going to go away.

24:41Bijan Maleki:It seems like it's pretty established at this point. And I think we talk about a lot, DeFi is going to be one of the primary use cases for blockchain going forward. I mean, we've got stable coins. We've got DeFi, basically, as the big ones. On-chain, real-world tokenization of equities and things like that. Borrowing and lending. So DeFi is a thing. Perps is a thing. And Leiter is a player in that space. So it's in the right sector. It's got traction. It's, yeah, like whether it ends up being a better hold overall than Hyperliquid, I don't know, that remains to be seen. But it's something that I wouldn't completely disregard.

25:26Bijan Maleki:I think it's worth consideration.

25:31Bijan Maleki:Aerodrome is another one we talk about. I'm going to look at Aerodrome real quick, though. Aerodrome also isn't going anywhere because of its tie-in with Coinbase. And so Aerodrome is already on my watch list and Aerodrome is doing well. It kind of had a big bounce up over the last few days off the back of an announcement. Hold on. Let me look at the news here because this is actually worth showing. So Aerodrome introduced this predictive allocation model where right now liquidity providers are basically rewarded based on historical trading activity. But this predictive allocation model will incentivize participants who correctly anticipate where the future liquidity demand will emerge.

26:11Bijan Maleki:And those who accurately identify upcoming hotspots of activity can earn a larger share of protocol revenue. So this is a new innovative thing that they're doing. And it sparked a rally. And now they've poked up above their 200-day moving average. Granted, it's pretty overextended. The RSI peaked out here. But I think Aerodrome is going to continue to be a major DeFi player, again, just because of their tie-in with Coinbase. So Aerodrome is kind of going to always be one to watch and always one to pay attention to. Again, and they tick all the boxes, all the requisite boxes that I've been talking about.

26:47Bijan Maleki:So they'll be around. They'll be a player. I think it makes sense that they're in this top list of assets. and still I think we need to see a little bit more like this is a poke above this 200 day moving average cloud. It's not a reversal overall. It's not a long-term trend reversal. The averages themselves are still kind of flat or pointed to the downside. So it's not like the bottom is in and this is up only or anything like that. But I think that it's fair to say this is an established asset. It's an established project that's got major institutional tie-ins and it's going to continue to innovate.

27:25Bijan Maleki:It's got a lot of money coming in and it's going to be a player. Also, it's at a D Mark 9 here, so definitely do not go chasing this right now because you're going to be upside down quick on that one, likely. But again, this is one that needs to be on the short list, I feel like. Moving along here, there's not a ton more of them. So we've got Arrow, SPX. SPX has been doing well. I won't dig into that too much, But basically, SPX recently got listed on the two top Korean centralized exchanges, BitThumb and UpBit. Also, they've had a big winter mute has increased its holdings in SPX. And then some big whale came on Hyperliquid recently and opened like a big, you know,$1.7 million 10x long, which is, you know, roughly worth whatever, eight and a half million bucks on Hyperliquid.

28:18Bijan Maleki:So there's some momentum there to be sure. And I think expanding into the Korean market is big just in terms of like expanding that community. So I'm not surprised to see SPX doing well. It's obviously been one of the more resilient meme coins in the space since it's launched. So good for SPX. That's nice to see. Ondo was another one that was interesting because Ondo historically has been a really solid project, also in the right sector, tokenized finance. but the price action always seemed to kind of trail the narrative. Like I never understood why Ando didn't do better than it did. And so let's sort of look at Ando real quick here.

29:00Bijan Maleki:Because I always thought Ando was like, yeah, again, great, great project. Just what's up with the token? It just kind of been flat or largely down, you know, after it peaked, you know, in 2024. And so it had a really rough 2025 compared to a lot of other assets. Like 2025, actually, several assets went up and made either double peaked or even made new all-time highs from their 2024 peak. And Ando was just very tepid, flat through most of that. And then it's just really struggled since then. But it's starting to come back around. And they're continuing to grind. They're continuing to build. They're making inroads in terms of on-chain tokenization of real-world assets.

29:44Bijan Maleki:So I think they're doing well. I like to see the volume really bumping up a lot lately. So they're making waves and they're continuing to build. Now, whether this ultimately equates to the token price appreciating, I don't know, because like I said, historically, it's struggled to do that. It's struggled to match its narrative. But nevertheless, it's in the 200-day moving average cloud. It looks better than a lot of other alts and it's in the right sector. So I'm calling it out because it's, you know, it's making some waves. So Ondo's interesting. Ondo's interesting because, like I said, it is established.

30:22Bijan Maleki:It's not just a flash in the pan project that, you know, poked its way up into this list, you know, and isn't justified. I think it's good.

30:30Kris Bullock:So a quick break in your regular programming. If you're serious about your future, grab my free report called Prepare for 2030. I think you've got five years to make as much money as possible, and this guide will help you navigate what's coming. The link is in the description. Download it now.

30:47Bijan Maleki:Now, it does have... It's got a bit of a decent token overhang still. It's got a lot of unlocks to come, so I think be wary of that. But it's... Again, I think it warrants consideration on your watch list. Moving along. Oh, this one was interesting. So JST. I didn't know what JST was. JST is. It's a DeFi ecosystem that runs on Tron, and we know Tron has been doing really well. I talk about Tron a fair bit, how Tron has just been. I mean, barring this massive decline that it went through, kind of back down to its 200 day moving average. it's held up much better than a lot of crypto assets overall.

31:32Bijan Maleki:It's just a lot less volatile in general. And it's slowly been grinding upwards for some years now. It has become sort of the de facto place for tether settlement, you know, and things like that. So what's up with JST? So So JST is basically, it's like a full DeFi ecosystem. It's a real protocol. It's got a real buyback narrative. You know, it runs on Tron and it's, you know, got a lot of borrowing and lending, things like that. It's a full, you know, DeX, all the stuff. It's like a full DeFi ecosystem that runs on Tron. So I wanted to see, well, okay, what does it look like compared to the Tron chart?

32:13Bijan Maleki:And is it worth, you know, is it worth digging into? It looks similar to the Tron chart. It kind of had a big dip recently, but it's been, you know, all of this year, it's actually been trending up. So like on the year and even going back to like it did it really was completely immune to the big October and November crash. Like there really was no impact on this this token at all, which is super interesting to me. And then just kind of starting around the beginning of the year, you know, it's it's up. It's up a 2x, which is pretty good because most stuff is way down. So, and then I wanted to see, well, okay, what does it look like compared to Tron directly?

32:53Bijan Maleki:To see, is it like a Tron beta play? Is it outpacing the Tron token? And it's kind of a little bit, I mean, if you go back to its inception since, you know, February, it has outpaced it, but it's been largely sideways for the last, you know, three months, two to three months. So it's trending along with Tron. Think of it as like a Tron beta play. basically a little bit of a leveraged version of Tron. Pretty low liquidity because there's not a lot of DeFi activity happening on Tron anyway, but it was an interesting one to me. I think it's one that probably is going to be one that will stick around, but I don't know.

33:33Bijan Maleki:It's iffy in terms of if it's something I really want to get into. I think too, as Westerners, it's a little bit difficult to access this ecosystem for one. And so it may or may not be worth your time, but it was interesting to me. Next Tron X. So Stellar, this was an interesting one. So Stellar Lumens is a very old blockchain since 2015. And I'm like, what's going on with Stellar? Why is it suddenly making huge waves? And it does come up from time to time. I was going to say, it does this from time to time. It does. The dinosaur pump. Right, exactly. And if you go back and look at its history, it's funny.

34:16Kris Bullock:Literally right down the chart.

34:17Bijan Maleki:Yeah, it just, so this is the weekly timeframe. It just goes sideways, sideways, and then some narrative happens, and it just rockets, and it'll go on these big rallies, and then it'll just kind of bleed out, and it'll get some catalyst, and it'll bleed out. It's funny. if you look at the old like dogecoin chart it it looks a lot like this like it would just go sideways for months and months and months and then just like explode out of nowhere you know um and so i'm like what's the what's the deal with this why is this even why are we still talking about stellar you know like what what's actually happening here um and it turns out it actually has real good legit real world adoption like real world partnerships with the likes of MoneyGram and Franklin Templeton and WisdomTree.

35:03Bijan Maleki:And there's actually big companies using its rails for settlement, for stablecoin settlement and stuff like that. So it's got real usage. The problem is, again, it's wildly overvalued just because of its age. These old legacy altcoins that came out in the early, especially the early, the 2015 cycle, 2017 cycle, anything that came out back then got really overvalued off the back of like these huge massive pumps here that you know I mean it was sitting here at you know double lot to basically and it shot up to a dollar so this you can imagine made a lot of wealthy people in a very short amount of time.

35:51Bijan Maleki:So, I mean, this is a 35 ,000, you know, percent gain in the span of a few months. And so this happened a lot. This happened, the same thing happened with like XRP and Cardano and, you know, some of these other old legacy alts. Suddenly there's like all these millionaires just kind of minted overnight practically. And so a lot of this market cap is just that money, this sort of locked up wealth in this blockchain. And it, you know, sure, they've taken profits along the way. That's kind of what happens is that's what will drive the price back down and then it'll get some catalyst. And so it doesn't have a ton of fees flowing through it.

36:31Bijan Maleki:It doesn't have huge cash flow flowing through it. It doesn't accrue a ton of value back to the token holders. It just has a bunch of legacy market cap. And even though it has some real world institutional adoption, it's highly driven by just catalysts, like narrative catalyst. It's almost like a meme coin, basically. It functions, its price action is very mimetic. So it's not something that I would ever want to really invest in because you don't really know when it's going to do anything. And it can give it all back just as quickly as it gains. So I don't know if this is ever really going to be something that's super investable.

37:07Bijan Maleki:It's just going to be maybe something you put a low bid in, you kind of sock a few bucks in there and hope you get one of these big rallies that, you know, people used to do that with Dogecoin a lot. They're like, well, I'll buy, you know, I'll throw whatever a thousand bucks at Doge down at this, this level here. And I hope, hope that it just rips a 10 X out of nowhere and I'll just sell it and walk away and wait for it to dip down again. Like that's how people play stuff like this and Dogecoin and all that stuff. And so that's, that's what I see here, but it was interesting because it just did a big bump here.

37:40Bijan Maleki:You know, this was in this one candle, this was like a 76 % rally in one week. And of course it gave half of it back, but yeah, that's, that's what's going on there. Just, I think just a few more here that I wanted to cover. Stable is one. So stable is interesting because stable is basically a USDT settled blockchain. Like it's a blockchain that uses Tether as, as gas, as opposed to having like a, a gas, a native gas token that's volatile, like Ethereum or Tron or whatever, Solana, you know, as its native base token that is volatile, it uses Tether as its base token, which is cool. And no other blockchain uses a stablecoin as its native base token for gas fees.

38:26Bijan Maleki:So they're essentially trying to be the official like USDT settlement chain, like kind of, what is it, Tron? Tron took over as kind of the de facto crypto USDT settlement chain. But stable is trying to actually be that, is sort of trying to take over the world's, you know, become the world's dominant settlement chain for Tether and have people use it for remittance and things like that. So it remains to be seen if it's actually going to become that, you know, because obviously Tron has massive, massive network effect and market share in that department already. And so they've got, you know, big competition, but that's essentially what they're trying to do.

39:10Bijan Maleki:And it is a novel case because, again, there's no other L1 out there that uses a stablecoin as its gas token. So I thought that was interesting. The token is still overvalued at the moment and probably not worth digging too much into. But, again, interesting. So, and then I think finally, was there any more? Let's see. Most of these were just... Jupiter's cool. Jupiter is making some waves but yeah like Dash, Legacy, Celestia Meh Morpho is an Aave competitor it's like a lender borrowing and lending platform Canton coin is interesting to me because we talk about Canton it is one that I do pay attention to and so it's noteworthy that it's it's kind of holding its own up here in the mix in you know in these top coins that are outpacing Bitcoin so let's look at Canton real quick and I'll kind of use that as the final one or is it here we go.

40:08Bijan Maleki:So Canton, it's a bit opaque in its structure and by its nature, it's opaque because that's the whole reason for it is it allows institutions to conduct on-chain activity without people being able to see publicly what's going on. So I've talked about it before and I've talked about how it's kind of riding along its bull market support band here. It never really went below it, but also it's not doing a ton yet. It's showing this big, this may ultimately turn out to be a really big cup and handle pattern, which would be interesting to me. It's above its 200 day moving average, well above it. So like, it's, it's interesting.

40:47Bijan Maleki:Like, I think it's still something that I keep in my, my shortlist, something that I pay attention to. But as we can see, the price action is pretty, pretty stable, pretty anemic. It's not really that volatile. It's been hovering around between sort of 14 cents and 16 cents for, you know, several months. And so we need to see more going on here, I feel like. But this is one that I think is another one that needs to be on your short list, on your list for when the market breaks out, when the money comes back in. I think that Canton is probably going to be one that catches a bid. And so while it doesn't make sense in this moment, I think, again, it's just something to have in your back pocket and be on the lookout for a big breakout.

41:33Bijan Maleki:Obviously, we want to see it continue to set higher highs. It's got a high here that it hasn't yet reclaimed. Of course, it's got a big high here that it hasn't yet reclaimed. And so it's got some levels to get back above, and it's kind of slowly just grinding along at the moment. But once we start seeing these levels break, this is something that I'll be looking at. So yeah. Yeah, anyway, I hope that was helpful.

42:01Kris Bullock:I hope that we've got a lot of stuff to we've got new stuff at the very least that we can add to our watch, if anything. So that's definitely valuable. So I want to take this question here from Sonics. I've got a good chunk of my portfolio in per and hype about 50 50. Good time to take some profits soon or should I just ride it? I'm wondering mainly whether you think if Bitcoin legs down, if hype may follow, if it's a big leg.

42:28Bijan Maleki:Well, yeah. So what we let's just look at that from a technical standpoint and see, because my suspicion is. Even if Bitcoin legs down, so we know Bitcoin leg down. Well, let's just hold on. Let me confirm that before I just assume. So this was the June 4th, June 2nd. So the Bitcoin leg started on June 1st, ended on June 5th. Now let's go back and look at Hyperliquid.

43:03Bijan Maleki:So Hyperliquid continued to run. It actually got exhausted on a DMARC-13 on June 4th. So it didn't actually start dipping until right around the time Bitcoin was kind of completing its dip. And then it coincided perfectly with this DMARC-13, which resulted in this correction, which ended kind of perfectly on a DMARC-9 setup and a sense rallied right back up to where it was. Meanwhile, well, let's just kind of do a Bitcoin, a hype Bitcoin chart real quick, because I think this will be an interesting way to look at it, too. I'll get to answering your question in a second, but I just want to kind of collect some perspective here first.

43:46Bijan Maleki:Oops. So this is what hype has done directly against Bitcoin since that time. So it did kind of, after the June 4th correction, hype did its own correction. we saw off the back of that DMARC-13 has since rallied back up and has since outpaced Bitcoin heavily since it bottomed on June 11th. So I think what I'm seeing here is that hype needed to do, hype was overextended on its own. It needed to do this sort of technical mean reversion, but it wasn't, I would say, wildly influenced by the Bitcoin dip necessarily. Like it was more like a bump in the road to me. And it's right back up at its all-time highs, basically.

44:38Bijan Maleki:So it has been pretty resilient off the backside of that dip and has outpaced Bitcoin in that stretch. So I mean, you could argue that the Bitcoin dip to begin with wasn't a product of Bitcoin itself dipping because kind of the whole market dipped around that time. Stocks also dipped around that time. We had a big correction semiconductors around that time. We had a big spike in bond yields around that time. So I think it was just a larger market-wide correction that impacted everything. I don't think it was specific to Bitcoin in that scenario. And so that's another consideration. And to me, what I'm seeing here is a lot of relative strength with Hyperliquid.

45:20Bijan Maleki:Now, of course, it's worth pointing out that volume has very much tailed off after this big rally after it peaked on this DMARC13. Actually, the volume peak was, in fact, in this earlier DMARC13 back here in May. And it's kind of rolled over now. And also, we see the RSI roll over. So we've got a decent-looking bearish divergence here that's worth pointing out. Here was the RSI peak right around that DMARC peak. And now the subsequent price peak, the DMARC's way down here. So for sure, a bearish divergence. Now, does that mean it's time to sell and take profit? I don't know yet. I think I would be on the lookout for some exhaustion here.

46:05Bijan Maleki:We've got a, we're at a DMARC five on the setup right now, so it could run a little bit longer. I think fundamentally, Hyperliquid is still very much in play. There's ongoing, there's tons of ongoing chatter with perps being made legal here in the US and Hyperliquid itself being made legal here in the US. And I think once that news drops, we're going to see a huge rip. And that could come out of nowhere. And I would not be surprised to see it happen in the near term, I should say. Because like I said, there's a ton of chatter going on. We know there's people negotiating on behalf of Hyperliquid to make it available in the US.

46:44Bijan Maleki:And when that happens, it's going to be mega. So I wouldn't want to be out of position for that necessarily. So I think if you do want to take some profits to kind of capture some of the gains you've locked in, that's probably decent given just the technical, you know, structure that we're seeing here. But knowing what the underlying fundamental catalysts are, I would not, I wouldn't, you know, go underweight in it by any mean. So yeah. And then per just regarding per the same thing, everything I just said for hyper liquid applies to per equally, obviously, they're, they're kind of one in the same.

47:20Bijan Maleki:So yeah, that's, that's what I see here. That's what I'm seeing with that. I still think hyper liquid has a lot of relative strength compared to the rest of the market and its fundamentals are as good as anything out there in crypto land, honestly. So.

47:35Kris Bullock:Yeah, absolutely. On day one of the SpaceX IPO, Hyperliquid generated over$1 billion in trading volume just in one day. So I don't with the other ones coming. Right. So like basically what Hyperliquid has essentially become, whether that's in the crypto world and even outside, it's become the platform of choice for these high demand events. So like we just saw that with SpaceX, right? We saw that before with the whole oil, gold and silver going down when those were in very high demand. So I don't see that changing at all for the Anthropic and the OpenAI IPOs that are going to be coming in the near future.

48:15Kris Bullock:Like those are going to be traded on hyperliquid without a doubt. And like Chris said, if we get that confirmation that it then becomes legal in the US, like$300. That's what I'm looking at for me. Because that's only like a 5x from here. I know that. Yeah. So that's all I'll say.

48:39Bijan Maleki:Well, and that's reasonable. Or I should say that's plausible in terms of its market cap valuation. It's not like, oh, a$300 hype token is going to put it above the value of Bitcoin or anything of the sort. It's within a reasonable range. It's plausible mathematically. That could absolutely happen. So not saying it's going to, but it could.

49:00Kris Bullock:Yeah, right. Exactly. And nothing is a for sure thing. As much as I might feel like it, I wouldn't tell that to everyone else. But one thing, like a 5X from here that gets it to like around$300, that would still have it lower than Binance's current market cap. So like, you know, that's kind of where I'm thinking. If you think this space grows, which we all think it will in the future. Yeah. Yeah, no problem, Sonics. Thank you for the question. Can we let's take a look at let's take a look at near because that one has been absolutely ripping. It is definitely, you know, catching these bids off of the AI narrative play on the L1 side that they have.

49:50Kris Bullock:But I think it's definitely worth taking a look to see, like, is this sustainable? Are we getting ahead of its actual fundamentals? But like one thing, so Nier has basically kind of changed their tokenomics. They are now doing buybacks and burns a la Hyperliquid, which is extremely attractive, right? So take it away, Chris, what is the chart telling us?

50:13Bijan Maleki:Yeah. And to be fair, NIR was on that list. I actually just kind of skipped it inadvertently. So it too is one of the top altcoins that has been outpacing Bitcoin as well. And we can see that here in the chart. I mean, again, it's above its 200-day moving average. It's above its 20-week moving average. It is holding up well. It is a bit narrative-based. It doesn't quite have the money flowing through it yet in terms of real-world adoption. It also has benefited off the back, too, of the Anthropic lockdown that happened with Anthropic because it sort of got roped in with the likes of BitTensor and Venice as this sort of decentralized AI player, which it is, to be fair, but it's not quite the same thing.

51:03Bijan Maleki:and so it's benefiting a little bit from that narrative and it is doing well but it is overvalued I think and we are seeing a little bit momentum has waned the RSI peaks are much much lower the subsequent peaks are much much lower granted the price peak is lower here too than the previous ones but even like the second double top or even poked a little bit higher high was a much much lower RSI peak also off a DMARC 9 or a 13 rather So like it's coming back around. I do like the fact that it bounced off, you know, above the 200 day moving average and it is coming back up. I think, like you said, it's going to be a player.

51:43Bijan Maleki:It's in the right sector. It's got real world adoption. It's what they're doing with their, both with their network infrastructure to like cater to agentic traffic and things like that. Plus the tokenomics, the buybacks, all of that stuff is good and can only be a good thing going forward. So it's doing all the right things, but I think in the moment, it's a little overheated. So I don't know that this is something I would go chasing for. It may be premature, but definitely something that will be in the mix once the market turns back around, kind of like I've been saying with these other ones.

52:19Bijan Maleki:All absolutely should be on your short list. I know historically, though, Nier has struggled to kind of like how Ondo, in that it's a great project, great, great sort of fundamental narrative. but its price action has always kind of lagged its potential. And so I want to see if that can be overcome a bit too. You know, I know Jamie Coots talks about Nier a lot, and rightfully so. He's had those guys on, he's done a lot of reports on them, and there's kind of no reason why their token shouldn't be worth more than it is. But for whatever reason, the market didn't quite latch onto it the way they did some other assets.

52:56Bijan Maleki:So I want to see real, actual, sustainable market buzz in terms of a bid, token buyers, you know, to kind of sustain a long-term rally. And it's a little bit premature at this moment to say that that's the case. So, but like I said, keep it in your list. It's going to be on my list. And there's a decent chance that it'll come back around once the rest of the market does, for sure.

53:20Kris Bullock:Yeah, I think things like Near and Sweet as well are very interesting. from a narrative perspective with the agentic economy that they're trying to capture. Because we always thought that the mass adoption was going to come from that cab driver who's asking you about XRP and all those things. But if the thesis that we're thinking actually plays out, that mass adoption is actually going to come from the AI agents that are coming on chain. And that's a very interesting idea. That actually plays out. I think something like Near and Sui definitely benefit from that, if nothing else, just from the narrative of it.

54:01Kris Bullock:And as we as we know in this industry, narratives and just the the the idea of something is sometimes a lot more powerful than the actual fundamentals of it, as we've seen in the meme world. So, yeah, absolutely. So I'm going to take this question from Crafty Bernardo here. So given what has been said about hype and the Solana stagnation, is it worth rotating out of Sol into hype? And Sol is like, before you get into this, Chris, Sol is a very interesting one in general. Because like fundamentally, it seems like Solana has been stronger than ever, right? The DEX volume seems like it's really healthy.

54:41Kris Bullock:ETF inflows have been picking up. Yet it's underperformed against Bitcoin over, what, 90 days or so? um so i think the the the solana is the consumer layer thesis is kind of intact still i we're not seeing that in the price action and it's hard to to say like i want to stay in solana when you see when you just see hype has the narrative the fundamentals all working for it uh what do you think, Wes?

55:11Bijan Maleki:I agree. Let's look at the Solana chart here. Yeah, I mean, Solana has, it's largely tracked with Ethereum. It's funny, Solana and Ethereum are almost a mirror image of each other, you know? And it's like, I often ask myself, what does that say about just the L1 space, the legacy L1 space in particular, to see these two assets not really doing well and tracking right in line with each other and largely tracking with Bitcoin, too, for that matter. And I think really it comes down to they just they're not the they're not the sexy tokens at the moment. They don't have the buzz. You know, yes, they're they're plotting along.

55:51Bijan Maleki:They're doing what they need to do. They're like there is there's all the activity, like you said. I think the Solana Foundation is doing a good job of managing this project and doing a good job of making it viable to especially real world businesses outside of the crypto space. They continue to do a good job of that. Certainly, I don't think Solana is going away. And I can't tell you you should sell your Solana, I should say. You shouldn't sell your Solana to buy Hype right now. I can't say that. But just ask yourself, what's the catalyst that's driving both of these right now? Or in the case of Solana, lack thereof.

56:33Bijan Maleki:Certainly, Hyperliquid has massive activity going on every day outside of crypto. There's a lot going on with all of the real world on chain activity. I'm sorry, real world assets, commodities, even like the IPOs, they're trading these speculative IPOs before they're even launching and stuff like that. So it's working as like a prediction market as well, you know, and so it just it just has the buzz right now. And so and it's but at the same time, we don't know when that's going to change. I can't tell you that Solana is not going to turn around and do 100 X or something. Not that whatever, not that it's going to.

57:12Bijan Maleki:I'm just saying, like, look at what's driving both of these assets and really learn for yourself. you know, if it makes sense, if you think that it's sustainable, or if you think the opportunity cost of holding Solana is too great, and kind of go through that thought process, that thought exercise for yourself, and see if it makes sense for you. Because like, if you've got a good entry on Solana, and you know, for example, and you're in the profit on it, and you're looking at it as a very long term hold, maybe it's perfectly fine to hold Solana, you know, there's, you know, so So I don't know.

57:49Bijan Maleki:Your situation is unique to you. And yeah.

57:53Kris Bullock:I want to read this comment from DeJuice. The minute you capitulate on soul into hype is the minute soul goes on a run. The narrative rotation is so easy to see in retrospect. But in the moment, the FOMO is hard to overcome. You have to have longer term thesis to cling to. Well said, DeJuice. And that's perfect.

58:12Bijan Maleki:I mean, that's exactly it. And that's happened to me so many times. The minute I capitulate on something and rotate it into something else is the minute that they flip and you're upside down and you're worse off than you were had you just left it alone. And so, you know, and you can take you can also you can take you don't have to go all or nothing either. You can just start chipping away at it, too. You know, take a little bit of the Solana, buy a little bit of hype, maybe do that process over the period of some weeks or even months. and see if it works out smoother. I don't know.

58:47Kris Bullock:Yeah, absolutely. So Solana is in my personal portfolio. Solana is my second biggest holding. I'm not selling it. I don't plan to. But that being said, I have a little bit of a hot take. Hype is going to flip Solana's market cap. That's my take here. I don't know when, but it will. But I'm still not selling Solana.

59:09Bijan Maleki:There's something to that. to be said for that, for sure, because like it has so much real world adoption and the traditional finance space is massively, massively, you know, exponentially bigger than what Solana has going on right now. And so, yeah, Solana is a viable blockchain project. It's highly performant. It's very inexpensive to use. It's got amazing real world history. And we know that it's going to be a player. We know that there's going to be activity on it, but it doesn't have the same sort of addressable market that Hyperliquid does in the same way, you know? And so I think that that's worth acknowledging.

59:53Kris Bullock:All right. On that note, let's tie a bow in this week's TA session. We will be back on Monday for our AI show, The World According to AI. And of course, we will be back next Wednesday for our live TA show again here in Discord. Chris, until then, what do you got for us so that we don't fuck this up going into the weekend?

1:00:22Bijan Maleki:I don't know. Like I said, I really want to see if Bitcoin can flip that support or resistance level that it's at and kind of get on the other side of that big moving average. and show us that it's got some strength in this short term. Because I think I'm still not convinced. Let me just quick go to Bitcoin here. I'm still not convinced that we don't get a leg down into this lower realm in the next two to three months. I still think that we've got that three to four month time horizon, that sort of time-based capitulation bottoming pattern that I talked about last week. And right now, that hasn't changed at all.

1:00:58Bijan Maleki:I mean, just doing a mean reversion back to the 20 day does nothing to sort of invalidate that thesis. So I think if you're looking at we've got to last until October, which is roundabout here, that's a long way to go for us to hold this level and not have something come along that spikes us down into this lower 50s range, even just for a minute, you know. So, yeah, that's where I met with Bitcoin.

1:01:27Kris Bullock:All right, everyone. Until then, don't fuck this up. Have a great weekend. We will see you on Monday and again on Wednesday.
