They've just lowered rates on their Bitcoin and ETH-backed loans even more to 8.91%, which is 9.999 % APR, improving their already industry-low fixed-rate 50 % LTV loans. They keep building as well, having also just launched decentralized MPC Custody, the only place to get that amongst the major loan providers, and removed interest deferral fees entirely. What is MPC Decentralized Custody, you might ask? Well, it's a Bitcoin or ETH on-chain wallet with multiple key shards to protect you from a single-entity custody failure.
50You can always see your crypto ownership in a segregated wallet and verify your collateral hasn't moved. Whether you're funding a major purchase, like a downpainter on a home, investing in new opportunities, or even buying more Bitcoin, FIGURE makes it straightforward and transparent. 1:34looks and silky voice, I'm not quite him. So don't take what I say as his views and hammer him on X for something I said, OK? I'm sure you're curious why your portfolio is making the moves it is right now. So here's what's on investors' minds. It's jobs, jobs, jobs. And not much else today in the macro land. The US Bureau of Labour Statistics reports only 22 ,000 jobs were added in the US in August, way below already relatively weak forecasts, further underscoring weakness in the labour market. The unemployment rate ticked up to 4.3%. The figures for the previous two months have been revised downward by a combined 21 ,000.
13This comes after weak ADP private employment data and a rise in initial jobless claims earlier this week. All of this is cementing expectations of a Fed rate cut this month. Looking elsewhere, Germany's factory orders unexpectedly fell by 2.9 % month-on-month for July, missing expectations of a modest increase and marking the third consecutive monthly decline. This downturn was largely attributed to a sharp drop in demand for large-scale contracts such as aircraft and military vehicles alongside weakened foreign demand. In Japan, household spending rose less than anticipated at 1.4 % in real terms from a year earlier, and the Coincident Index, which measures current economic conditions, dropped to its lowest level since February last year.
59The leading index showed some improvement with an uptick matching market forecasts, but still reflects cautious consumer sentiment as inflation continues to bite, especially when it comes to rice prices. Things have been busy in the world of digital assets. Coindesk says shares of crypto treasury companies are getting pounded again after the red-hot trend hit a potential snag. The information reported that the Nasdaq may soon require shareholder approval from some companies before they can purchase cryptocurrencies. Another red-hot crypto trend is stablecoins. Case in point, Stripe and Paradigm have officially unveiled Tempo, their joint blockchain project focused on stablecoin payments.
37There is also a new controversy surrounding Justin Sun after the Tron founder had a wallet holding nearly 600 million unlocked WLFI tokens, a project he's an early investor in, blacklisted. Sun took to X to say freezing his crypto was unreasonable. Finally, crypto exchange Gemini has expanded its offer in the EU with ETH and SOL staking, as well as perpetual futures contracts. Congrats on making it all the way to here. You've now earned your aperitivo. Have fun on Rect Vision with Mando and Spencer, and on the weekly wrap-up with Nico and Bijan. I'll see you again on Monday. Cheers to a great weekend.
23Thank you.
