0:00Ugh. You said you were over him, but his hoodie is still in your rotation. It's time. Grab your phone, snap a few pics, and sell it on Depop. List it in minutes, with no selling fees. And just like that, a guy 500 miles away just paid full price for your closure. And right on cue. Hey, still got my hoodie? Nope. But I've got tonight's dinner paid for. Start selling on Depop, where taste recognizes taste. List now with no selling fees. Payment processing fees and boosting fees still apply. See website for details. Kayak gets my flight, hotel, and rental car right. so I can tune out travel advice that's just plain wrong.

0:37Bro, Skycoin. Way better than points. Never fly during a Scorpio full moon. Just tell the manager you'll sue. Instant room upgrade. Stop taking bad travel advice. Start comparing hundreds of sites with Kayak and get your trip right. Kayak. Got that right. They say you should learn something new every day. Like how you should only drink Jägermeister at zero degrees Fahrenheit. Ice cold. Like those frozen cavemen they find. Which makes you wonder, what would a caveman think of Jägermeister? Well, if you served it warm, he'd probably throw it in your face, say Oonga Boonga, and storm off. And nobody wants that.

1:15So drink it cold or not at all? Jägermeister. Damn, that's cold. Drink responsibly Jägermeister liqueur, 35 % alcohol by volume. Imported by Masked Jägermeister, US, White Plains, New York.

1:31Come on, you Spurs. Up the Spurs. That's more like it. That's more like it. A point against anybody right now is precious. And look, this is where we're at. Anyone can say, oh, look at the state of them. Look at the state of them getting happy over a draw. It doesn't matter right now. Block all that stuff out. That's massive. That is massive. This was a zero pointer by most people's calculations, right? The results have gone away. I'm shaking, man. Like, it's just, come on, you Spurs, you know? The fact there's a bit of fight in there and it's coming through now. It's coming through because I think so many of us had given up on these lads.

2:22So many of us had given up on, like, the core of this group, right? That performance today was sensational. Sensational. Whatever anyone wants to say about Liverpool, about their form. Liverpool's bad form is, oh, Liverpool might finish sixth. There's context to this, right? Liverpool are not a bad team. Liverpool are a brilliant team. Liverpool have spent hundreds of millions of pounds. They won the league last year. They're the reigning champions. This is a ground that is an absolute misery fest for us. and we've gone up there without the majority of our so-called best players and we fought for every single ball.

3:04We fought for every ball, every single one of them. And look, their goal, really, their goal was from splitting hairs was not a free kick, but fine, whatever. Decent enough free kick. Maybe the keeper should have done better, but do you know what? I'm not digging players out now. I'm not doing the individual. I didn't like this. I'm not doing that. We need to be behind all of these lads now. We need to be behind all these boys till the end of the season. Just the battle lines, all that stuff. Forget about that. Forget about that. Full inquest in the summer, right? Right now, it doesn't matter.

3:43Like, get behind these lads. Because that is commitment. That was some fight today. That's what we've not seen in months. And I genuinely mean that. We've not seen that in months. And, you know, a lot of us have been trying to brave face it. A lot of us have been trying to do the, like, you know, glass half full. And there are no full glasses, as Igor Tudor said at Tottenham. But all the glasses are empty or something. But going down would be a catastrophe. it just cannot happen with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. I was on Anfield Index ahead of this, and Hari, the host, was asking me, like, you know, what's going wrong?

4:39And it's like, you know, everything is going wrong, basically. But I'm sure that, like, you can see that this is thus far has been a historically bad season for this football club. This is not where we find ourselves is not who we are. And yeah, we can say stuff about the ownership. We can have these petty squabbles with Aston Villa or whoever else about who belongs in the big six or who doesn't. All that stuff I don't care about. What I can say with pride, chest out, is we're Tottenham Hotspur. We don't belong in this position. And today, today, those boys showed that. for the first time in a very long time, they actually showed, you know what, like whether it's for the club, whether it's for the badge, whether it's for their own individual ambitions, whatever it is, whatever it is, they showed a level of fight today that has been sorely lacking and we just have to get behind them.

5:44We have to get behind these lads to the end of the season. you know I just I can't I can't see any other way and I don't see I don't see what the point is of doing anything else why would you do anything other than get behind them we can have we can all have a go about certain players and stuff you know after the season if that's what you want to do within reason but right now point at Anfield and it's

6:15It's massive. It's massive. I love that it was Richarlison as well. You know, I love that it was him. It's just good. And it's good that throughout all of this, even in the depths of this, that you have afternoons like this where you're like, you know, go on, boys. you know like i love this football club we all do right we we all do unless you're one of the trolls watching or listening to this for whatever reason to support somebody else and just to just to know right that there is some fight there because you know do you know i mean like this stuff like you you explore your thoughts and You overthink all this stuff.

7:07One does. And, you know, there's that bit in the dark parts of my psyche where I'm like, are we even going to get another point this season? You know? We've done it. We got one at Anfield. As I say, other results. I mean, the West Ham one could have been better, to be fair, but still, they didn't win. Oh, God. I'm just like, I'm almost in, I'm almost, I mean, we could have, we could have, if it was, we could have won it. I mean, that, the breakaway at the end there, Eketike, do you know, all I was thinking about, and this is one for, probably not for some of the younger listeners, but all I could think about was when West Ham were in their relegation battle and we did them and Paul Stalteri scored in the final minutes.

8:02and the commentator, oh no, oh no, when Paul Stelteri scored the winner. That's all I could see was Liverpool breaking away after we fought. We'd gone toe-to-toe with them for the whole match and then they break away and score at the end. I was just, I was on my knees in front of the TV, just like head in my hands like, please no, please no, please no, because we've seen, We've seen the sad ending against Liverpool so many times. But today is massive. It's huge. I mean, when you even consider our back line, right?

8:51It was a more solid performance than we've seen from, you know. I said I wasn't going to call out individuals, so I'm not going to do it. It was just, it was a very solid performance. It was a very solid performance. I think, I think Danso has stepped up. I think Danso is a, is a very, like Danso is the sort of player that Tottenham have needed to make so many more signings of. Look, yeah, he's not a superstar, right? We're not going to be fending off offers from Bayern Munich or whoever for Danso. And I don't mean that disrespectfully. But what he is is just a supremely solid 6-7 out of 10 Premier League standard player.

9:38The sort of player that you build a squad up out of. You have these players in there that can fill in and do a job when they're called upon. That they're mature. and they have a grown-up focused attitude to their job, which is playing football. That's what he just exemplifies massively. And he's good. This is the thing, I'm making out like he's a donkey. He's not. He's a very accomplished defender. But my point is, he's a good player and he's stepping up and he's brilliant. Matthew's tail, look, I think was really good. He still splits opinion. but I think he fights. I think he chases after every ball and yeah, okay, maybe he doesn't release the ball as quickly as some people would like or maybe he doesn't shoot as early as people would like but what he does do is fight.

10:29He drives forwards. He carries the ball forwards. He fights. He gets stuck in. He tries to win possession back. More than nearly anybody else on the pitch does for Tottenham. That is worth so much at this moment in time. I just think he's essential for what it is that we're doing right now. Archie Gray, you know, we can't, you know, you can't go on about him enough right now. And I think everybody linked with Tottenham Hotspur is. Igor Tudor was asked about him in the pre-match presser. And he said, look, you know, being honest, I wasn't aware of him before I came to this club. And as soon as I've come in the club, wow, you know, what a brilliant, I think he calls him something like a beautiful, I think he called him a beautiful boy or something like that.

11:21I can't remember. But he was a beautiful player, beautiful boy, like, wow. And he was just talking about the fact that he can fill in in any position and he's so young, but he's just so reliable and so good. And, you know, he is, he is, if, if we were to go down, he would be the person that you would just have to say, give him another contract or something and say, you're the club captain. We're building the team around you. Take us back up and whatever, because he's clearly, he's clearly so talented. He's, and he always, he always has been. That's the thing. He always has been so talented, but he has stepped up.

12:02He has stepped up during this period. This is a 19 year old kid.

12:10He's, it's just it's I think today's result cannot be cannot be understated it really it's so massive it's so massive the battering we've taken or you know for the past few months the fact the press everybody is now starting to jump on it everybody is now starting to you had Gary Neville Gary Neville in the week saying that it'd be good for the Premier League for Tottenham to get relegated. That's the biggest voice, the biggest voice in the UK media, sports-wise, saying he's going to be good, good for the league, for Spurs to go. I never ever want to see anyone kissy-facing him again. I don't want to see any nicey-nicey with Gary Neva.

13:02I don't want to see him coming to our ground, talking to players, doing tours of the ground. None of it. I think he should be banned from coming to our stadium. I never want to see him here. He's been openly hostile to our club for a very long time. And I'm sick. I'm tired of him. I find him boring. I'm sure he cares. I'm sure he really cares. But the power that he wields shouldn't be understated either. But whatever. I don't want to lose my ass about Gary Neville today. The point is that, you know, these lads have had all that. And then on top of that, they've had this Atletico performance where they actually played really well.

13:45Many of us said that, other than the fact they went 4-0 down, which is farcical, but still, they actually played really well. It's been a tough week for them. There's been so much pressure on them. There's been people talking about Tudor's job. There's been people talking about, you know, Spurs actually going down more and more and more and more of the press are now saying Spurs are gone, Spurs don't have enough, right? And they've gone to Anfield, which is one of the most miserable grounds for us historically. An expectant crowd, a crowd that, you know, knows that we have a lot of injuries, knows that they can get at us at the best of times, wants to get their own season back on track.

14:27And we've gone there and we've nullified them. We have done. Like Spurs were organized. they were disciplined they actually knocked the ball about as nice as i've seen as knock the ball about in years honestly in a in a really long time it felt like there was some unity there it felt like there was some cohesion and you know what so for the quick plug here patreon.com slash RTR pod on the preview pod I sometimes when it's like a bigger pod and I see big quotes floating about I'll just watch through the press conference and you know react to it talk about it when when it's happening and there was a lot going on about Igor Tudor's press conference this month you know this week going into this one him talking about the the glass being empty it's not half full about the black magic over the club all this type of stuff and it makes you realize like you know when you when you actually watch the press conferences when you watch the full context and the way in which something has been delivered the way in which a point has been made it makes you realize how much aggregators and bad faith actors within the press misinterpret willfully what somebody is saying because actually do you know i i went into this and all truth be told i went into doing this sort of reaction to his press conference because i was getting ready to get annoyed about it i was getting ready to be like this guy's useless this guy's awful what's all this crap he's talking about so on and so forth right actually you know what the points he was making for the most part and he is look i i'm I'm going to say he is quite old school, right?

16:18He's quite, you know, alpha, whatever, in his mindset, right? He's very much that sports alpha, old school, dad's type character, right? Big, stoic, emotions back, strong face first kind of thing, right? Yeah, he's definitely that, right? But a lot of what he actually said in the press conference leading up to this game was actually really good, really impressive. Like, and I think it's very easy. And, you know, I do have to say this, and I'm not saying this to just have some hot take or whatever or seem like, you know, the world's most wokest bloke, right? But I think it's very easy. I think it's very easy when somebody has, who doesn't have English as a first language, to say what they're saying is silly.

17:14I think he actually enunciated himself really well in this press conference and he was making a lot of points when the press again, you know, it was a press pack there that was very eager to catch him out. You had Ian Abrahams, the broadcast moose, asking questions about like, who's more scared about this one than you or the players? Or do you all think it's an impossible situation? You know, saying that type of thing, saying that kind of question, that leading question to make him say who's going to be scared. and he manages still to turn it around to say like look we all feel the pressure but when we when we work on the things that we've been talking about when we work about cohesion and we talk about unity and we talk about the fact we're all in this together it's fine you know the whole black magic stuff when people his point was spursy that's what he's talking about he's talking about the narrative outside of the club that things happen to this football club because of reasons outside of everybody's control.

18:12And the point he was making is that I'm getting into these players. Don't think that way. This is ridiculous. You are footballers. You are talented players. The control is completely in your hands. The destiny of the club is completely at your feet. If we all work together, if we all play together, we can get out of this situation. and I know I'm sounding like Tudor's biggest fan and all this type of thing right now and you know I don't you know I don't really know I don't really know how I feel about it overall but the only point I am trying to make is that like I do think he's more considered and I do think he has more of a you know more of a grip and I think there is it might not be the outward vibes that people maybe want the the Ari Redknapp let's run about a bit and have a funny sandbite for the press after each game and all that type of thing right but i think there is there is a certain level of vibes at least to what tudor is trying to do and right yeah okay right so maybe maybe maybe he didn't get it entirely right against atletico madrid maybe that's something we have to we have to go you know look at and it's something else to consider but at the same time you know how do we know how do we know that he's not giving all the players a big hug at halftime I had a good chat with him I don't know I look whatever it is today was today was a fantastic result and all I can see is today being a fantastic result and that performance and a lot of the performance I have to say a lot of the performance tallying with exactly the points Tudor was making in his pre-match presser about this game a lot of the themes and a lot of the things he said he's been focusing on and a lot of the messaging that he's been feeding to this squad, this broken squad, this squad that has a broken spirit, you know?

20:08It had done at least anyway. A broken spirit. Everybody's on their back. We're on their back as fans. I'm doing it. You're all doing it. All tweeting as quick as we can. This is useless. This is that. This is bad. The club put out like the pregame graphics. Go underneath. It's all full of Spurs fans saying you're crap, you're shit, you're this, you're that. like come on come on just just at this point at this juncture in time you just have to you just have to ask yourself right you have to ask yourself as people say like in many different ways in life does this need to be said right now and if it does does it need to be said by me that's the that's the thing you know so if you do get that reflex if you do get that thing when a graphic comes out if a player puts something out on their instagram or if the club puts something out.

20:58If you do have that, even if you're annoyed, and we're all annoyed, we're all annoyed at the state of the club, we're all annoyed at Enoch, we're all annoyed at lots of the players on here. But right now, until the end of the season, what purpose does it serve for you to go on and call a player shit, or to call the club shit, or to say they're all useless? Because these players are so much more online than I think people think, right? But what they've given us this afternoon, what they have given us this afternoon deserves some respect it does it deserves some respect from the press and it deserves some respect from us as fans and i'm telling myself this as much as anybody else i get i get twitchy fingers i'm sat there in the game and there's certain players that have maybe misplaced the pass or done something today that i'm like on the verge of being like you know wouldn't it be terrible if somebody signed whoever and adding a load of big clubs or something.

21:52Oh, please don't. Do you know what I mean? The stupid, churlish crap that we all like to do. But this is beyond that, man. This is beyond that. We can't be doing this shit as fans. We can't. We talk about the club having to change. We talk about these players having to change. We also just have to just focus a bit on this. And I think for the most part, the away fans, I'm not, I'm not, to be honest, I'm not really talking about fans in stadium. I'm not really We talk about away fans, especially the away fans are impeccable as ever. And they have been all season and they fill out away ends, the length and breadth of the country and the continent, even when the club are in the doldrums that they are.

22:33And if we go down, I'm certain that would remain the same. I'm mainly talking about us terminally online people and the, the reflex reaction to anything that the club does. we don't need it right now nobody needs it right now it's not going to make you feel better to say something disparaging about the club or a player and then see us go down and then wonder why don't they play a bit harder for us you know just just see it now right forest is one of our biggest games in years. It genuinely is one of our biggest games in years. Feeding the fam isn't easy, but we got you with Denny's Slam and Meal Deals starting at$5.99.

Do you know what I mean? Like, I understand this. I get it, you know? I've got Clarkson's Farm watched on repeat, all that type of stuff. I get it. Centrist dad, twee, all this type of thing. But this, you know, this is bigger than all of us.

26:07This is bigger than my ego and it's bigger than your ego.

26:13And it really, it got me. I feel quite emotional about it. I do feel quite evidently, you know. But just the fight that they showed this afternoon, you know, it's just heartening. It's heartening. put so much of our lives into this club you know and it's why it's why it irritates me and a few you know a few people said some very lovely things at the back of what i was talking about the other the other week but about like you know the fact that you know we do compartmentalize different parts of our lives just because there are sad things or terrible things happening either in the world or in our lives this club is the constant this club is the thing that which so many of us are tethered to on on a level that you know is very hard to to explain and to you know put into words to people that maybe aren't into sport but many of those people would probably find some commonality with you because I'm sure they have a favorite filmmaker or a favorite band or a favorite type of music or a favorite artist or something that just speaks to them on a different level that football can do for us.

27:22And, you know, it's just, it's not just a game. It's not just a sport, you know, the amount of good that this thing drives. The, just the collective consciousness behind supporting a football club. In fact, you have this family of strangers, if you like, you know, like there is something to that. There's something innately human to that. A tribe, whatever you want to call it, right? And this isn't just something to be dismissed. This isn't something to just say, I'll get over it, you know? It's horrible. It's been a miserable season. It's miserable to see the club in this position. It's miserable and it's horrible.

28:04But today, today, I saw a glimmer of something that you can hang your hat on and say, that was Tottenham Hotspur. That was our lads. That was them. The spirit of it somewhere, somewhere. And yeah, they're all overpaid, prima donnas, whatever you want to say, right? But somewhere, something transcends all of that. Something transcends the individuals, all of it. And it becomes more about the collective. It becomes about the whole. It becomes about, I'm going a bit Pochettino, talking about lemons, talking about energy. But it's just, it's bigger. It's bigger than all of us. and there was something there that we could be proud of Anfield's a miserable ground for us and again I don't care what form they're in we've played plenty of clubs West Ham were in terrible form and they came and beat us so I don't care how good or bad whatever their form has been we know Liverpool always up their game against us we know how much the Anfield crowd can drive them on right but we showed up there and we fought we refused to go that rage against the dying of the light you know that's it that's all that's all you can ask for from these lads just instills a bit of pride in everything again and that's what we need that's what we need shut out the outside noise don't care i know that that performance and that result has made me feel amazing it's made me feel good it's made it's reminded me what i love about this football club you know

29:41What a load of absolute waffling bollocks, eh?

29:48Dear, oh dear. Barstool preaching, as Chaz and Dave always used to say. Kugo8760 says, so good to see you, Happy Jack. Yes, yes.

30:06Palindrome Pirate says, C-O-Y-F-S. All in caps lock. Yes. Ricochet Pig says, gang gang. Joseph Bradley, fair play to the team today. Get in, could have won it. Ben Mathias says, really good performance for me today. Deserved the win. Another keeper's mistake. Costas would have been nice to get rid of the Anfield hoodoo, but a good result. We move. Coys. Zeros and ones. Live who.

30:44Editor Chris says, we have found our testicles.

30:55Jonas Milner says, biggest result since Bilbao. 100%. Genuinely. Whatever. Timpot, bobbins, small club, don't care. It is massive, massive result, massive spirit.

31:12Gritting there, lads, you know? Phil Mayo, all in capitals. Come on, you Spurs. Believe, Jack, believe. RS9 Coys says, we'll take that all day. Richie and Tel need to play every minute. They're our fighters. Build some momentum now.

31:39Aeros7000 says, Kois, get in. Needed that. James Flanagan says, that was a proper performance. Finally a bit of fight. Richie is the one to lead us to safety. Mate, if we stay up, honestly, and he's there at the front driving this, scoring goals and doing all that stuff, build the statue build the statue get him alongside Sonny you know at least a mural

32:10Joseph Bradley says great to see the players and fans at the end so important love that I didn't see it I came upstairs to start doing this let me know anybody watching this listen to this now let me know Shopping at Kmart says that was a good performance. Deuces Wild says, you've got to fight for your right to stay in the Premier League. I was trying to... Deuces put it in the Premier League. You've got to fight for your right to stay in the Premier League. That's how I would have done it, mate. Premier League party. I don't know, whatever. Um, JKR infinite says showing that we could do that with so many players out and Sousa having to play it right wing gives me confidence and hopefully gives the players confidence in Tudor.

33:14Area 7 ,000 says surprised to see James Regal talking to you the other day. He's a great guy. What do you mean? you're surprised because I'm like some manosphere toxic pig is that what it is and a good guy which shouldn't be talking to the likes of me you know Louis III went in and had a chat with all those manosphere types didn't he he's getting in trouble at the moment for platforming them I'm not going to get into it I'm not doing it let's stay on the football you mate Stick to the football, right? No politics here. Stick to the football. Bob Rajkois says, first time I felt hope in months. Even if we hadn't got that equaliser, there was nothing that performance to show this team can play.

34:03Let's go. Do you know what you've touched on there, Bob? Right? I was thinking like, you know, towards the end of this, I was like, towards the end of the game, I was like, we've played so well. We deserve something from this game. and it's going to be so it's going to be so gutting it's gonna be so gutting to us and to the players if they don't get something from it to be close but no cigar once again and there would have been plenty of positives to take from it had we lost and I was sort of thinking about coming to this being like look we have to just get behind us I know it's another loss but it's Anfield and blah blah blah blah blah all that same sort of stuff but it was that bit of me when it was getting to like the last five minutes and we still kept pressing them like they had that initial they had that initial little kind of pushback when Eketike and Salah came on, right?

34:52And I was suddenly like, ah, man, this is a point when they go and win two or three nil now. But then we weathered the minutest bit of storm that they brought to it, solidified again, got organized, compacted, started knocking the ball about again, playing the way we wanted to play, playing the game at our tempo, controlling the flow of the match. And we just came back out on top again. And then there was that bit, that last five minutes when I was, and I haven't done this, honestly. I haven't done this in, since Bilbao, genuinely since Bilbao. I haven't done this. I'm there. I'm an agnostic person.

35:37I will say this. I'm an agnostic. I'm not an atheist or anything, nor am I like a religious person, but I'm agnostic. and I'm there genuinely praying. I'm there doing that. And I know that's what people do and stuff, but I'm there just being like, please Tottenham, please come on, please just do it for us. Please lads. And then shortly after, I'm basically saying I caused it. No, I'm just saying shortly afterwards, Richarlison scoring is just getting that rush again when a goal, we score a goal, it hits the back of the net. You see the players wheeling away. and yeah you've got that nagging little bit that the is that gonna be var was he slightly offside or something like that but i just had to lose myself to it i had to lose myself to it because this has been so miserable it's been so miserable for so long you just jump off the sofa and you're just punching the air i was having to i genuinely was biting a pillow so i didn't wake the baby up You know, it's just like, they've done it, you know.

36:46And so my point is, Bob, like, yeah, there would have been plenty to take from this had we not got it. But there's so much, I mean, we can say it now, we got the point. There's so much more to take from playing like that and having something to show for it. Come on, Tottenham, you know. Come on, boys. Come on. Fight. it's all we want from you just that to the end of the season come on the the mental thing is the mental thing is right even even if it has been this terrible year if this lot fight from this point if this lot fight from this point and we stay up they almost become like legendary in a way they almost be like they have so much credit in the bank they go from like complete It's literally zeros to heroes stuff, you know?

37:38The amount, the amount I have dug out Richarlison on here, criticized the signing, criticized him, so on and so forth. Now, yeah, whatever. Maybe I'm a bit fickle, but he is just, he's like a legend of sorts in the make. Let's not get into the whole conversation. What's an legend now? You're saying Richarlison's as good as Danny Blanche flower. No, I'm not. I'm just speaking flippantly. It's the internet. It's the internet. We speak flippantly, don't we? I'm going to wake the baby up. I'm going to get in trouble. Karma. Karma. No? Karma. Am I loose to Forrest? No, no, no. I'm not doing that yet.

38:23I'm not doing that.

38:27Look at this. John W. just said, I actually asked the Lord for any sign he was real and I would reunite with my family members I no longer talked to if he gave us something. John, mate, get on the blower. Get on the blower, lad. Ask and he shall giveth.

38:47RS9 Coise says, This club has had us in misery for months, but daylight today happens and they suck you right back in, Coise. They do. Isle of Lilywhite says mid-table pushes on. We're back. Two teenagers on the field. We got down in the mud and dragged a point, kicking and screaming from Anfield of all places. Fucking get in. Cheers, Jack Coise. Cheers to you, mate. Cheers to you, lad.

39:18320 Music VB says finally performance in the second half. If we can replicate that, then I'm sure we will be just about okay. Ben Matthews says, I'm really happy with them today. Doesn't matter how we got here, but now we're here. It's good to see them pulling together like that today. Exactly. Hanako Teka says, isn't the international break coming at a perfect time? Good result, but watch us lose more. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. No, no, no, we're not doing that today. We're not doing that today. Jack Underhill, we are massive. editor Chris also says this is the first time in months we've had bottle and fight and something about us exactly mate exactly um uh Louis Louis uh Teco sorry that was really bad it's hard right it's hard when it's all just one word Sar was massive today he what come on mate no Sarno party he's always massive it's Greasby says are we back we might be back I think we might be mate again you know the Hassan Hussle

40:37celebration to the you know calming everyone down

40:46Isle of Lily White also says we had Danso, Dragasin and Porro at centre back I don't think the scale of today's achievement can be overstated. Play like that next week and we batter Forrest and stay up. Come on, please, please. Ridley82 says, and Ridley82 has said this, not me. Is it too big a reach to say we did this without two certain defenders? I would say a certain thought has maybe crossed my mind at points during the game. But you know what? As I was saying, let's all get behind everybody. Let's get behind every single one of them.

41:25It's Greaseby says, there's something to be said about Olesese looking not out of place when he came on. Our academy players have been criminally underused this season. They can be the key to keeping us up. Yeah, he was brilliant. Composed, mature, technically brilliant. brilliant like some of the balls he was like spraying around the pitch were really good he was just making he was just occupying so much space i'm pretty sure he broke up a couple of like liverpool's attacks he you know to me anyway as somebody that doesn't pay an awful lot of attention to the academy and stuff he looked absolutely brilliant he looked you know wonderful and i want to see more as who was it came on as well for his debut i'm gonna i'm gonna take the time to look at the lad's name but it wasn't sure cross but it was it was similar to that um he deserves it he's you know a tottenham legend in the making um roswell or rosewell rosewell again a player i'm not familiar with but nice.

42:39Do you know what I mean, lads? Like, what I will say is when he was running back, so I think he did one thing right at the end when he was running back for Liverpool's break, Ieketike, he stayed composed, got into a good position, made himself big, you know, promising, looked good. But Olesesi, who we saw a lot more of, he looked really good. And yeah, to your point, mate, you know, it does feel like the academy has been criminally underutilised the past years. If a team like Manchester City can do it, if a team like Arsenal can do it, Spurs can definitely do it too. Start blooding more of these youngsters.

43:21They win stuff all the time. Tottenham's academy is, maybe I'll do, maybe I'll see if I can get John back on Lily White Rose. Talk a bit more about a few of these players and a few of the ones that, you know, you'd like to see. come into the fold because it just feels like we've we've see them winning stuff all the time our academy teams and you know they never seem to get the opportunities to come through but you know if there's one thing we can say that Tudor's done he's doing this he's giving them opportunities that's that's kind of kind of finally something that's good about you know Do you know what the mad thing is, right?

44:00What I will say is, against all odds, I would say, and this is back to my stuff about Igor Tudor earlier, I think he's managed a better performance than Thomas Frank did all season tonight. I know we started off fairly promisingly under Frank, but did we? that when there was ever any real adversity, we crumbled constantly.

44:35The players definitely deserve their flowers for this. They deserve a lot of credit for this. But I think we have to give Judo some credit for this. We have to. Because as I say, do you know what I mean? It's completely his words, his intentions were translated onto the pitch today. If you don't believe me, watch the pre-match presses. Watch both halves of it. Watch the unembargoed and the embargoed side of it. Because everything that he was saying pretty much came to pass. The way he wanted us to play, the spirit he wanted about the place, all of it. And we play better today than we ever did under Thomas Frank.

45:15So, you know. When you want your spring break to feel like. 46:46Temis Schumer says celebrating today, getting whooped by Forrest is crazy business. Are you, I'm guessing you're not a Spurs fan. So we'll see. We'll see what happens, right? But I mean, like if you're not a Spurs fan and if you genuinely don't see why Spurs fans would be happy about this result in the context of their season, in the context of any season, getting a point at Anfield, you're an idiot. um dadare is too risky says best point ever it's definitely up there mate the 4-4 at the emirates you know was pretty good i would say back in the day that you know but i think there's a bit more narrative behind this one isn't there mark lobley says the topsy-turvy nature of being a spurs fan i was dancing around the room with my toddler ecstatic and six minutes later i was disappointed we didn't win huge point means more than the point though mate bang on absolutely bang on um and it's lovely to have that again in it it's lovely it's lovely to know that like you know like you say you're there dancing with toddler being like maybe maybe maybe maybe i am giving you something more than a useless awful horrible football club you know who's our local who's our local dog and duck side maybe i'll just get the the ween following them instead of spurs maybe i won't give them this you know but then there's that bit there's days like today isn't there's those reminders where you're like go on boys come on i've done a whack bit i've done a whack bit no one wants to hear all the sentimental stuff over and over again do they ample sample says that feels bigger than just a point at anfield yep i agree mate to dare is too risky says we're back editor chris says dan so was great daniel pollard says it's the hope that kills us now embrace embrace the hope embrace the hope richard james says wait i'm confused did we actually play better i'm going to take this as like you saying like wow we actually played better so you know let's stick with that energy joseph bradley says show fight today genuinely one of our best performances at anfield for ages i mean considering we've not won there for 15 years or something yeah i think and we i think at this point i sort of said before the game we've lost five or six in a row to them i don't know disgusting still morrison says evening jack delighted to be watching this game with the person who's to blame for me supporting this club my lovely mum moira what a lovely afternoon big love big up moira you know she did it as i was saying there about like you know putting you on the on the putting the wings on the right track or not she's done it you got to thank for this mate i know it's a nightmare they are a nightmare but there's very little there's very little that compares compares you know to this feeling of them just like just showing up for you when you when you think they're like you're just repeating yourself you sappy i haven't even had a drink i haven't even had a drink that's bad do you know what that is right i've got to say since like you know the weans and all that sort of stuff starts happening completely i complete completely lost my ass as like an irony cynical lad you know completely embracing that middle-aged soppy dad life that's what i've become do you know i mean HS Tiki Toki could never

50:25James Glenville says this is the first time I felt hope in months Cape and Road says play like that against Forest will have breathing space Archie my man of the match yep wonderful player Richard James 123 says maybe Tudor did just need time to shake out the negativity instilled by Frank maybe you know maybe i do i will say the way i feel right now yeah all the talk that like they're lining someone up i think it would be i just think it'd be terrible now i i let's see what let's see what happens with forest forest is the deciding one i think for for for tudor's future i reckon i reckon it has to be and if if we get done by forest they'll they'll probably bin him over the international break and it will i would imagine be the harry redknapp blah blah blah with jermaine defoe and mason or whatever type thing i guess um but yeah k9 mcg1 says love archie gray rush says tears from the relief not just the draw but the fight yes mate 100

51:44johnny cudworth says the the dog is on the vet's tables but we looked into its eyes one more week lad for one more week yeah

51:58that's horrible but i know yeah um james 10624 says make archie gray captain i'm guessing he's just written make him captain in caps lock but i'm guessing at that point i was probably waffling on about archie gray um evan newell says i don't think we necessarily played better than the atleti match just didn't concede three goals immediately yeah i mean we did actually play quite well against atleti and i kind of share a lot of people's quite optimism that that that game isn't as over as we maybe thought it was.

52:38Richard James says Gary Neville is a helmet. James 10624 says, is banning Gary Neville the one thing Maranakis got right? Yep.

52:51Ridley 82 says, we deserved a point after having to listen to Carragher for 95 minutes. Yeah. 100%. He was gutted as well, wasn't he? He was gutted. He was waffling off and off and off in that first. Ooh, you're going to get rid of the cases. I'm not doing the offensive Scouser accent. They're going on about him getting relegated about this. He couldn't, he was just, it was almost like, do you know what I mean? Having a tug in the press box there. Going all this fan-ficking about Spurs and about how terrible they are, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. And then Rishi there, Rishi there, slotting it home, back home, shushing the cop.

53:26All of them, like. Ha, ha, ha.

53:33says our recruitment department wanted to give robertson a two and a half year deal lols up the spurs yeah he was he was horrific today actually um i kind of yeah i see why uh some people weren't overly happy with the idea of him coming in he was he was he was not good and i did think that as i was watching it i was like kind of glad we didn't get this fella in um

54:05Trafer Balls says had to watch with my Liverpool girlfriend I'd predicted a thrashing we were the better team deserve to win so enjoyable at last she's gone to read her book while I luxuriate with you coys hello there what book's she reading Eddie Hubbard says thought we played well today much more determination, especially second half. Yes. Rush says he finally got the formation right. Yep. I like the way he's set up today. I've got to say, I really liked Saren Gray. I really, I really, I really liked them. I did.

54:52Rob Doherty says, if we played without drive and spirit the rest of the season, we will survive. Dave Bowerman says, are we now staying up, lads? Rich, you might just save us if we can maintain performances like today, especially if senior players creep back into availability.

55:14Cape and Rod says, the Forest game will tell us a lot. And that's, yeah, that's the truth of the matter, isn't it? um vin fuego says benefited from not having romero and uh mickey and today big kevin danso was superb

55:34cracker says yo come on eagle anthony oa says richie get in nick from ven says coy's exclamation mark Dave Bowerman says, Forrest's confidence in beating us would have taken a hit today. We must use this point as a springboard, 100%. We've gone, there's no other option. There's no other option. That's all that it can be. That's what it is, and that's what it has to be. Finn Fuego says, Wouldn't it be great if players actually brought into Tudor and realised this guy isn't full of Scheiser and could actually drag us from the abyss? Because that's what he said. you know you know how i was saying about how i feel that like you know people almost try to take advantage of the fact that like english isn't his first language that might be you know that might be a strong take that might be but you know there are certain things where they're saying like some one of them asked him you know when you're criticizing these players what is it that you're saying to them kind of thing and he said like he was just straight up he was like why would you say criticize i don't criticize i guide them i help them that's my job my job is here to try and make them better players i i will say look this is a mistake you made and i will try and give them guidance as to how they can avoid making a similar mistake or something in future that's my job that's what i'm here to do um and i do think you know there is something to be there is just something to be said and i think there's i think there's quite a lot to be said whether it's him or whether it's anyone tudor was a good player like he was a decent player he played at the top level um he was really good in pro either he was what he was he was well good in pairs back in the day that's and do you know what the saddest thing is when we signed him my immediate thought was Igor Tudor and my friend Fred who I always used to play pairs against was just like Igor Tudor because there's certain players that were just you know Luke Luca Tony another one back in the day obviously everyone knows adriano don't tell me adrian everyone knows adriano was good in pairs back in the day right luca tony horrible horror somebody had luca tony in their team horrible absolute nightmare player um but igor tudor monster monster on pairs good player and you know there is something to be said about that right there is something to be said about a bloke that can literally front up to some of these lads and say well you know what i played champions league for most of my career and i did all right i won trophies with juventus as a player so you can listen to me or you know you don't have to whereas you know when you got like with all due respect thomas frank who's talking about you know the trophies and stuff he's won with kids teams and things it's just it's not it's not quite the same is it i'm not saying that's the only those are the only types of managers that do it Julian Nagelsmann's a good manager and he's I think he's younger than me um you know so I mean I can't really say that anymore I'm a bit of an old fart now so you know I mean that whole whatever sharp um

58:53Paul's Beer Review says we're back baby great point at a place where we never get anything Now let's smash Forrest.

59:04Ankur Nairan says, we got a point. Tudor in. Benes says, well said, Jack. Always appreciate the commentary. I'm not sure what I said well there, mate, but, you know. Maybe it's about Tudor because a lot of people seem to be talking about Tudor. So maybe it's about that. Eddie Hubbard says It was a great pre-match talk from Tudor He said what was needed regarding the half-empty attitude Running through the club Yeah Finn Fueger says We're all Lighthouse family tonight, mate Cause we are gonna be Forever you and me Always keep it Flying high in the sky I love. What a banger. Do you know what I mean?

1:00:00There we go. Full centrist dad. Robbie Legendary says, After our closest rivals grabbing drawers, that equalizer of ours was such the tonic. Coys. Really was, man. It was massive. I've celebrated that guy more than any for a long time. terror hawk says all the talk has been about will it be us forest or west ham to go down but what if it was leads all along i mean if you if you go down leads twitter rabbit holes as i did the other day that's exactly what they're saying um well the vibe is more like imagine thinking that spurs will be the team the team that goes down when it's clearly going to be us anyway um James Nicholson said, oh, it's just done a refresh.

1:01:01Just trying to find, look.

1:01:08Sorry, the comments just refreshed in between. James Nicholson says, we're going to win the league. Still need to sack Tudor and keep some positive momentum. No. Chris Jones says positivity, belief, positivity, belief, please. Yes. Antonio Sanessa says we did something we have so rarely done recently, hung in in a game and got the reward. Feel belief for the first time in a bit that we will at least give it what we've got. Up the spurs always. Yes. Maurice Richard says well-deserved. I had said nil-nil clean sheet, but it was in open play. Why? because no van der Ven. The previous two clean sheets against Dortmund and Frankfurt, van der Ven did not play.

1:01:51Maybe there's something in that, but I'm not pulling at that thread today. I'm just keeping it, you know. Peter Doodle says, after Palace, I was furious. I was desolate, mate. I was convinced we were done, you know. I felt so let down. I had it all on that one game due to the hype. One game at a time from now on, yes. Let's make it us against the rest. That was a good fight tonight. alexander smith says talk about the crap ref awful yeah he was awful abysmal horrible horrible referee really really bad um it seemed like it was one of those wasn't it where it felt like every 50 50 went against us richarlison was i mean let's be real he was chance in his arm wasn't with that, he wanted the penalty from Van Dijk.

1:02:43Again, it's kind of, it was like, you've seen those given, but I'd have been livid if that had gone against us. Van Dijk simply outmuscled him. Massive bloke, massive bloke, really. Vin Fuego says, I'm really grateful for your pods lately. It's been a dark time, but this is fantastic. We could have done them today and that's no BS. Thank you, mate. Thank you for watching and thank you for sticking with it because it is miserable and I appreciate that not everybody wants to bask in Tottenham stuff, especially some blowhard like me going on about it afterwards. So thank you for continuing to watch them.

1:03:16Thank you for the support. I really do appreciate it. Totspur says, Dr. Tottenham had a sick day today. Texas Spurs says, 4-4-2, please. Was that a kind of 4-4-2? I don't know. Was it maybe? I don't know. Lazzarini, friend of the show, says, never been so happy with a point at Anfield. There's a spine there who need to start every game. Danso, tell Gray, Richie, Coise.

1:03:48Kingy Daddy Freddy says, have it. That's what we needed. Massive. James 10624 says, we are staying up. Anthony OA says, finally some balls. Massive result. Coise, and he's, yeah, giving me a little donation for the channel. So thank you very much, Anthony. I appreciate that, mate. Totally Football Card says, that's what we needed. It will kick us on for the rest of the season. We're staying up, Coise. Akeem Lewis says, only mistake Tudor made today was taking Richie out before the final corner kick. Yeah, I was quite surprised by that. But in saying that, in saying that, Rosewell got back and formed part of that defensive unit, stopped Eketike's break.

1:04:33So, you know. Ryan Cook says, this result was a pipe dream this morning, hoping it will spark some momentum, especially with Forest on the horizon. Ozzy Ange says, I told everyone we weren't losing today. Everyone laughed at me. Tudor sparkled gold. It's over the players at half. Tudor sparkled gold. It's over the players at halftime. SY says, Rishi has frustrated me for a long time now, but he has the mentality to keep this team fighting coys. KingDaddyFreddy says it must be three points now against Forest. WhiskComrade says we just needed something to stop the rot. We just needed some momentum.

1:05:16Now we have some. CliffM says let's see if the lads can carry this form into our next match. A tough place to play. The Tottenham Holes-Burr Stadium. Yeah.

1:05:31It doesn't get old that. Like, you know, you always see Bankrupt doing it, don't you? The Malzzy. Well, you know, it's a tough place to come, isn't it? The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to manage after each game. I find it funny anyway. Antonio Sonesa says, Richie loves it in the mud, Jack. He does, doesn't he? He does. The pig. And I mean that affectionately. Echisonic Music says, next weekend and the next few are absolutely huge. I'm there for the Forest game, ready to scream my head off behind the team. Oh, thank you. London Easter says, it's given me a donation for the channel. Thank you, mate.

1:06:12And says, have a coffee. Can't recall the last time you smiled. I smile a lot in my answer, just not about Spurs, but now get in there. Thank you very much, mate. I appreciate that a lot. Thank you. James 10624 says, I had a feeling we'd accept the 1-0 loss and that the players would be content not to get battered, but they really gave it their all to the end. They did. Ricochet Pig says that's the mentality. Wiz Comrade says props to Danso, Pombo, Saar and Poro, fighters. Totspur says I was on a flight during the match, so I couldn't see it. Big question is, did Rishi rip off his shirt after the goal?

1:06:50Given the result, I guess not. Yes. It's a good point. Maybe, maybe, maybe, you know, somebody said that's bad juju. Don't do that anymore.

1:07:00lazarini says i get very strong ben davis vibes off of danzo in terms of maturity and attitude love the man bang on i know i know ben davis is such a battleground but like for people but i've you know i know he's not perfect but uh you know i love the man and we need players like that and I agree with you, mate. I think Danso is, you know. Yeah. Richard Anscombe says, lads, lasses, we needed that, a point, but it feels like more coys. Yeah. Jozo Bozo says, I haven't celebrated a goal like that in months. Months. This has to be the springboard. Bloody has to be. Yes. Tortart says, first positive feeling for so long.

1:07:48Coys. Phil Mayo says, was literally tugging the badger and we scored. Is that a euphemism, sir?

1:08:03Jay Rye says, a point away at Anfield. Pretty much unheard of for us. Hopefully a turning point and we can kick on from here. Seven Seal says, they had to dive to get a draw. And then Leslie says, evening all. Really good point. Imagine if we had a full team out. Yes, up the Spurs. Go on, Alan, mate. Did you go to Anfield? I bet you did. I bet you did. You're glutton for punishment, aren't you? Sam Guttridge says, currently sat at Paris Airport, so missed the game. Can you sum up the game in nine words? Richarlison's number. Nine words. That was really good. Spurs showed a lot of fight. There we go.

1:08:48I'm using a lot as one word. There we go. Here we go. That's not very fun, is it? That was just really boring.

1:09:00You wanted me to be more like rousing, didn't you? Fucking glory, fucking guts, this and that. I keep swearing on YouTube. I'm not allowed to do that.

1:09:12Lord Spurs says, absolutely buzzing for that performance and result. every one of the outfield players did their part and now I'm not going to end on his other bit that he said there afterwards

1:09:29Tom P says do we get something if Van Der Ven plays that game I'm worried about him coming back he's a lot about Van Der Ven isn't there a lot about Van Der Ven and his his whiffy vibes really says Tudor was also always a decent early signing on CMO 102 he was.

1:09:53Bevelar says, Jack, over the years I've made a list called I Can't Believe I Support Spurs. It has 160 points now. Maybe I'll even, if you want, I might have to get you on a pod, maybe in the summer or something, get you on a pod and we can go through all 160 points. That would be grand, like grand.

1:10:15chris motley says my oh my seven-year-old autistic son loved your singing thank you very much lads um glad to be of service andy nash says endeavor from the first whistle to the last what should be the minimum but we haven't seen it what should be the minimum but we haven't seen it all campaign we have now so let's do it um cam ruddin to cam ruddin tayabali says jack i would pay for a pod where you just say the word pig coys what is it i don't get it it's just it's because it's it's the two words ricochet pig do you know what i mean but it's quite a pig pig pig pig pig big um even lennon says mad i've not seen you smile in months excellent point there is a chance um eddie hubbard also says as many have said good to see you happy today reflecting on how we all feel get in um and kd kd6 says i can't believe i watched that game without thinking about relegation for once.

1:11:27Coys. Folks. There's life in them yet. There's life in these boys yet. Come on you Spurs. Like I said, all that stuff I was saying, get behind them now to the end of the season. Make Forrest massive. I don't think it's any secret. It's been spoken about on Twitter at the moment. I know there's plans for a big welcome for the players of Forrest. So even if you don't have a ticket for the game, I don't. I'm going to be showing up, though. Come support the team. Get behind them. Let them know that we're all there, that we've got their back. Remind them. Remind them what that Bilbao, that victory parade was like.

1:12:11Get outside the ground. Welcome the players as they come. Look, you'll find it online. I'm not selling it in the best way, but people have been talking about it on Twitter. There's going to be like a welcoming committee for the Spurs players ahead of the Forest game. So get involved. I think Billy T is sharing stuff about it all over the place. So get on there, have a look. And yeah, we move. Come on, you Spurs. Come on. How nice is it? How nice is it to end our weekend on a high for once? You know, this season, this season, to go to bed and not wake up like the grumpy Homer Simpson meme lying in bed.

1:12:47Come on, you Spurs. You showed some fight. Let's give it to the end of the season. Thank you, everybody, for watching. you want to add free pods, patreon.com slash RTR pod.
