In short

A post-match reaction to Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 win over Everton, framed as “we are staying up” after months of relegation fear. The host celebrates the result, rejects smugness toward West Ham fans, and argues the club’s board must change after two consecutive 17th-place finishes. He also criticizes media figures (Alison Rudd, Gary Neville) for allegedly downplaying Spurs’ situation and even “cheering” relegation.

Guest backgrounds

No named guests appear in the transcript. The episode is presented as a solo reaction with audience comments/messages.

Key claims

Spurs’ survival matters emotionally and is not “just a game.” The squad showed “warrior” mentality in the final stretch under Roberto De Zerbi. The club’s financial/existential risks are real (debt, reduced matchday events, sponsor uncertainty like AIA). The board has tolerated excuses and must back De Zerbi with signings (examples mentioned: Adam Wharton, Alex Scott). Media/football pundit coverage is portrayed as biased against Spurs.

Notable examples

Everton match lasting into stoppage time; Spurs’ late-season turnaround under De Zerbi; Arsenal fans goading at Seven Sisters; calls to ban Gary Neville from the ground.

0:00As the crispy chicken sandwich from 7-eleven people always call me loud and I'm like yeah I know I'm crispy Did you expect me to whisper? If you want quiet, go eat some soup and reflect. Look, I know I'm a handful. I'm bold, I'm juicy. Throw some pickles and barbecue sauce on me, and baby, I'm a whole meal. And with seven rewards, I'm just$4. Quiet? No. Crispy, saucy, and$4? Very. Only at 7-11. Value through 62326. Participating stores only. Well supplies last seat. Out for full terms.

0:42That is... Anyone else feeling this? That is months. Months of just weight. Weight lifted. Lifted there. That we've done it.

1:04Oh my god.

1:09I need to compose myself a bit, but I am all over the shop. Absolutely all over the shop. I'm not too big or too proud. I mean, you know, depends in what sense you're talking, but I'm not too big of a man emotionally to admit that I cried as soon as the final whistle went. And can we say you're not proper Tottenham unless you weren't thinking at 110 minutes, Everton can still score two goals.

1:46Oh my God.

1:51This is just...

1:56I want to say up front, and I don't mean this in a patronising way. And look, there's no way that this is going to be well received from the other side. but I don't in any way, shape or form have the feeling within me, the inclination to want to lord it over West Ham and to be like nasty about them. All the things that we felt as a fan base, all the stuff I've spoken about on here, they feel as well. You know, I think they are, for whatever it means, they're a proper club that have been messed about by terrible owners in the same way that we would have said if we were the ones going down right now i just i just i just don't have that feeling in me to like and i'm being serious i'm being serious i'm not doing this to like as some kind of joke or whatever like i feel from like you know i've got i've got mates that support West Ham and stuff and it's going to be it's going to be terrible for them it's an awful feeling I'm glad it's them and not us don't get me wrong but I'm not I'm not going to sit here and give it the way act giving it the big and and everything like that because you know this is this is it's a disgrace that we've been in this position it's a disgrace that they're in that position that their owners like ours have treated their club like a play thing to do what they want to do with it

3:39and i think this this whole this whole thing this season these past look come on like let's just forget about everyone else for a moment like i'm sure there's plenty of you watching right now that feel exactly the same way I feel in that like this has been months of hell and I don't like whatever anyone wants to say I've had these conversations I've had people like going on at me about this digging me out about this whatever right football just is something I don't know i i can't i can't even properly explain it but it occupies a place between farcical and real do you know i'm saying like when we're talking about real things happening when we're talking about war or famine or whatever happening across the world and you're sat there talking about your football team and how it makes you feel of course it's of course it's ridiculous in that in that through that perspective right but at the same time like and it's not even at the same time i'm not trying to qualify this in like relation to that i'm just simply trying to make the point that like when people say it doesn't really matter it's just a game it's just this it's just that it's just bollocks it's just nonsense it's people that don't understand it like we're human like we're just human like we spend so much of our lives beating ourselves up second guessing our own decisions sec like trying to qualify every single decision we make

5:31and

5:37this means something man it means something it's big you know and i don't want to get too like mawkish about it but if ever there was a time to do it it's now right football has the power to like inspire it has the power to enact change

5:58this sense that like it's just a game, it doesn't really mean anything, it's just ridiculous, it denies like what we are, we're not automatons, you know, we are powered by logic, we're powered by rationality, but we're also inherently powered by our emotions,

6:24and the emotional value of something is important it is valid and so for people to just deny it to people deny the the sort of the stress and the anguish you felt about something like even as seemingly trivial as your football team not doing very well just is a complete denial of humanity is a complete denial of because it's not just about football it can be anything why do we why do we flock to the arts why do why are theatres still full up why are cinemas still full up why do we all sit every time you speak to anyone are you watching this are you watching that we're inherently drawn to these mirrors that reflect an emotional value back to us that make us feel validated that make us feel like we're here and we exist and the things that i feel mean something and this fucking means something Tottenham staying up fucking means something it really does like this is this has been a horrific horrific few months and that's why I don't sit here like I've had I've had Arsenal mates people I've known for a long time right who have taken this opportunity to lord it to be like we've won the league we're gonna win the double this weekend you two you lot are gonna go down and we're gonna win it and there's that part of me that's genuinely thinking like past the point of like fan banter and all that type of thing what the fuck is wrong with you in your head like what is actually like genuinely what is wrong with you enjoy it you've won the league 22 years you've won the league everyone called you bottle jobs everyone made fun of the dog call win and all that type of thing you've proved everyone wrong enjoy that like phil was telling me and charlie was telling me when they were because they went to the game today they were saying there were arsenal fans at seven sisters there were loads of Arsenal fans at Seven Sisters today, lining the streets, goading Spurs fans.

8:52What are you doing? I genuinely like, I hope they got a kick in. That's the first thing. I hope they got a kick in. What are you doing? Why are you there? They're goading Spurs fans. They're there. They're having a laugh about it. But what are you doing? Enjoy your success. Because there's a difference here.

9:18and so I'm not taking pleasure. I'm not going to. I'm not going to take pleasure. I'm not going to mug off. I'm not going to make fun of West Ham fans because it's going to be horrible. This is a horrible summer for them. They hate us. They hate us. What we hate about Arsenal winning the league, they're feeling right now because we stayed up instead of them. We've turned the improbable, the almost impossible around. And I'm going to get onto that. I'm going to get onto that.

9:54But this is raw and I feel emotional and I'm sorry, whatever I'm being like the cringe, chungus millennial, right? Being earnest. But this has been a tough, tough few months. And I know you're all feeling it because there's plenty of you that watch these streams week after week and i i genuinely appreciate it i really genuinely do that people have stuck with it have stuck with me have for whatever and this is not any sort of humble brag look you can see it you can see it's clear as day i'm not trying to make out like i'm some big man look at look at the amount of views I get compared to anyone else a Ben Bowman or a Kish or anyone like that I'm not one of the big dogs or anything like that but what I'm saying is I know there's a there's a core of people that watch what I do listen to what I do and I appreciate that and I appreciate the fact you've stuck with me and we've sort of shared this experience over the past few months because it's been one of the things that people are always saying to me is like thank you for the therapy it's like but thank you and i want to say as well you know like it's been flagged with me that like calling it therapy is not the best thing self-care is a better sort of term and you know whatever like people people want to make out that like being accommodating of other people's feelings is like some terrible product of our times but i just think if you can make somebody a bit happier then why not and you know whatever like i don't i don't want to get into all that sort of stuff but you know sorry this this this is all over the shop this is going to be all over the shop this is like it's just such it's such a sense of relief it's such a sense of relief that we've stayed up because the thing the thing like let me break let me break this down right surface level like genuinely surface level i didn't want tottenham to go down because of ego because of embarrassment, right?

12:26It would have been embarrassing for Tottenham to go down. You know, the focus of the nation, Tottenham get battered everywhere they go. Everybody's sort of really geeing up the idea of Tottenham going down.

12:45It's embarrassing. Everybody waiting for that. It's embarrassing in juxtaposition to Arsenal winning the league this year. Tottenham going down, literally getting relegated. It's like the sort of thing you would have joked about a few years back, right?

13:05Imagine, imagine if we went down the year Arsenal won the league, right? On that level, on that surface level, all of that stuff. That's why it would have been bad. And that's been hanging over us. On another level, there's the worry about what happens to the club after this point. As much as people wanted to bright side it, as much as people wanted to add this sort of like rational take to it that we do these off pitch events and all this type of thing. Well, already this year we've had, I think I saw somebody talking about it on Twitter. I think we've had 11 non-match day events at the stadium this year versus last year when we had like 21, 22 or something like that.

13:57I don't know. But this whole sense of like match day events, non-match day events will save us is still a flexible. It still doesn't mean it's definitely like it's not a given. And there's a lot of debt there. There's a lot of debt there. so you're immediately saying right so all the money we get from the being in the premier league from the premier league itself but also consider the fact that aia will no longer be our sponsor going into the next season you know unless they strike another deal the aia deal at the front of shirt is gone this season right are we going to be in a better position to negotiate a new front of shirt sponsor if we're in the premier league or not i don't think that takes a genius to work out so there's there's there's variables to this whole sense of like we'll be fine if we go down because we've got this stadium when we're in london doesn't take away from the fact that if we had been relegated the money coming into the club would have been less and we have masses of debt masses of debt there's a real existential worry about the club where we go from that point and then look I'm saying and I'm not saying this to be cynical but I'm being real about it and I don't need to spell it out but I have mates that work for the club right there's a human factor there people would have lost their jobs and that that's going to happen at West Ham and it is I don't know if you've tried to find a job lately and much love to you if you have it ain't a good time a good time to be out of work because for the most part as we talk about with this type of thing right these things these clubs are owned by millionaires billionaires now really right but who generally feels the brunt of everything right when we're talking about when we talk about spurs going down and the club valuation being slashed from 3.5 billion to 2.8 billion or whatever right it's just it's just made up numbers it's made up numbers but they're made up numbers that justify the person who's getting paid 28 grand a year that has dependence that gets let go because the people at the top want to juggle everything around right and we'll get on to this we'll get on to the the power brokers the people in charge of these of our club in particular but in general

16:57it's the normal people that will always feel this the fans feel it obviously

17:05but it's various people within clubs that you know

17:11they get let go

17:16and it's shit it would have been shit for us and he's going to be shit for West Ham because they're all over the shop as well, like us, financially and whatever.

17:37And you know,

17:41if you listen to the pod I did the other day with Phil, you know I was very angry with the players, you know I was having a big old like rant about him, I was having a rant about Romero, fair play to the lad even if you know what even if it was a misguided idea if it was this idea that like he thought oh you know whatever it's my boyhood club or I don't know I don't know I don't know what inspired the decision but if it took Spurs fans being annoyed if it took his agent being like hang on I think we've played this wrong if it was the club almost that threw him under the bus he came back he was there he swallowed his pride he jumped on a plane from argentina and he was there in the ground fair fucking play to him you know fair play to him

18:40and every single one of them today as much as i dug them out when i was talking about phil they were fucking warriors today. Every single one of them were warriors. And it feels almost ridiculous to say, what is that, three wins at home this season? But when it mattered, when it mattered, they did it. They stepped up and they did it. And this ain't a, it's not a glory, glory Tottenham Hotspur day.

19:18but there's still just something there, right? This thing that we give so much of our lives to, I'm sat here talking about it now. You're listening to me. You're listening to probably all the other pods as well that we'll be talking about this same exact thing. To dare is to do. It means something.

19:44And everything that's happened this season is, it should be an aberration. It should be a disgusting, horrible aberration. This has to be, it has to be, this is two 17th place finishes in a row now. This has to be the sign to the people running the club. Enough is enough. Enough is enough.

20:16no more of this bollocks, no more of the excuses, no more of that it's a World Cup summer, it's difficult, no.

20:29You get in there, you sign an Adam Wharton, you get in there, and you sign an Alex Scott, whoever it is, pay, pay the selling club what they want, give the player what they want in wages, Because if that's who this gaffer wants, you fucking deliver it for him now.

20:54We've had enough of this bollocks. There's been enough of it.

21:02You can't, you cannot, you cannot build this type of stadium. And it comes down to stuff like this. You cannot build a stadium like we have. you cannot build a project like we have and not be serious you don't get to do that you don't get to charge fans basically as much as Arsenal do second highest ticket prices in the country and not deliver what they are you don't get to do that you've had enough time you've had enough patience you've had enough grace from this fan base. And there was that despicable article written by Alison Rudd this week saying that the state of the club is because of the fans.

21:55Utterly despicable client journalism bilge from somebody writing for the Times. For the Times. And I'm not saying this. don't don't dogpile misogyny don't dogpile like i've seen in the things you don't you don't need to do that she's written she's written a reprehensible enough article for you to attack her on that basis don't don't demean yourselves don't demean the club don't demean our support by going for on this misogynistic level call it out for what it is and it's not just her it's neville today and i am being the thing is people think i'm i'm joking when i say this right there's there's good lines of communication built between the fan base and the club as a result of what's happened at the end of this season the the bus welcomes the the all altogether always raps and stuff that'll put up in the ground I mean this deadly, deadly seriously.

23:05Ban Gary Neville from our ground. Ban that nasty little rat from our ground. The geyser has such a powerful voice within football in this country. And he sat there saying a few weeks ago, it's going to be good for the league if we get relegated. he sat there today commentating on our game visibly visibly irritated that we'd scored that we were winning at every single turn every single opportunity

23:49he's there talking about vicario or romero or whatever right and i know what people will say to me people say rise above it we're bigger than that no maybe the time is not to be bigger than that maybe the time is to show some fucking backbone and to not let people like him walk all over us not to let people like him say what he wants to say about our fucking club a millionaire a fucking millionaire that acts like he's fucking arthur scargill acts like he's his dyed-in-the-wool socialist this is cheerleading cheerleading a club getting relegated it's fair enough to comment on it but the guy's actively pushing for it with everything that I've said in mind he's been in a football club he knows how this stuff works and he's there like visibly getting excited about the idea of it going knowing it's going to cost people their livelihoods knowing it's going to cost people their jobs this is a millionaire that acts like he's man of the people probably close to a billionaire he's a despicable individual

25:01and i don't care i don't care i don't know why why our fucking club tolerates people like him sitting in there giving the silver service giving this like the little fucking pig there of his trotters there getting his nice meal at half time courtesy of Tottenham Hotspur courtesy of the people that are paying for tickets to go and sit there in the ground and he sat there actively trying to draw the club down trying to pull him down for whatever warped reason he's got why he detests the club as much as he does it's not him but there's plenty of them there's plenty of names that should have been taken this season and the club needs to be stronger the club has to be stronger with this stuff shut out the outside noise shut out the idea of like decorum and oh what will it seem like Arsenal don't care Liverpool don't care Manchester United don't care if stuff doesn't go the way of any of those clubs they kick up a stink and we never do we sit there and we roll out the red carpet for the likes of Neville

26:16things like that have to change it has it has to fucking change it has to change stuff at this club now has to change two 17th placed finished seasons in a row that doesn't just happen by accident that's not just unfortunate that's not just we've had some injuries

26:44as I've said on here we've spoken about the 90s for years we've held the 90s up as the bad place this is the bad place Christian Gross Ramon Vega Chris Armstrong

27:03this is it this is the bad place two 17th place finish two 17th place finishes we haven't been this bad since the early 20th century I did this in the Patreon preview patreon.com slash RTR pod for a cheap plug

27:29but I'm pretty sure it's like since 1912 Spurs haven't been this bad

27:37we need to get our heads out the fucking sand less less of this you're negative you're this you're that

27:50this is an abysmal place we're in now an abysmal place we've stayed up on the final day of the season and i don't do what to say that i don't care I don't care about the sense of entitlement. I don't care about this. This should not happen to Tottenham Hotspur. It should not happen to Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.

28:19We're a fucking proud and brilliant and successful football club. 300 ,000 people lined the streets of North London for a Europa League last year. at the drop of a hat, last minute.

28:44We're one of the most successful. Don't shut out the noise. Don't let anybody else make you feel differently. We're one of the most successful football clubs that's ever existed in this country, ever.

29:00It's time to start showing that. it's time to stop with the cheap utilizing of that to sell whatever to sell merchandise to do this to do that it's time for the people that own this club to realize

29:18that they've bought something that means something they've bought a proud institution and i don't care what arsehole fans say i don't care what chelsea fans say i don't care what fuck them all, fuck them all. United West Ham Liverpool, you know?

29:38I know and you know and we all know that this club is capable of brilliance. I've seen this club smash Real Madrid to pieces in the Champions League.

29:54I've seen this club go to the Emirates, go to Arsenal and win. I've seen this club go to Stamford Bridge and win. i've seen this club capable of beating anybody that it wants to on its day the greatest manager that there ever was in pep guardiola we lived rent free in his head because all this stuff all this spursy all this bollocks that people have chucked at us for years we've let that fucking dictate everything to dare is to do glory glory Tottenham Hotspur there's a proper fucking team here we've let too many people tell us otherwise there's too many players in this squad that have been allowed to have that get into their heads and tell them otherwise

30:50they've showed it today to be fair they've shown it today as I said they stepped up and they were warriors today absolutely dominated the game for the most part today and it shows you they can do it when they need to they can do it and we've always known this about them

31:14this is why it drives us insane at times because we know they can do it we know they can do it they don't show it enough and whatever

31:40but stuff it has to change things have to change at this club they have to now as I've said already and I've said at so many points this season we cannot go on like this otherwise we go down next year oh it's a world cup year doesn't matter as I say sign Adam Wharton sign Alex Scott

32:18sign whoever it is that you need chuck the money at them give Deserby give Deserby 200 million at least give it to him let him sell who he wants let him keep who he wants

32:35and I'm pretty sure I've gone on about him already but like again I can only say this so much right as somebody that was a massive massive Deserby skeptic and somebody I've got i'm gonna say right right i said i said last last week or after the leeds game it's been remarkable for turnaround some of the performances we put in under deserve you've been remarkable and i was getting all these can you please pinpoint me exactly when spurs have been remarkable let me just find for you now let me just see because i saw this so since deserve he came in we're talking about we're talking about a team that was pretty much 20th in every single one of these metrics right pretty much 20th in every single one of these metrics before he came in but Tom Olnert has said Tottenham under De Zerbe right we're 12th for goals scored sixth for successful passes sixth for high place turnovers 14th for expected goals you know it's better than 20th and 10th for league position but you know i don't even need to qualify i don't even need to qualify this with some sort of like hackneyed stats or whatever right you can look at this tottenham team you can look at the way they've played with more belief the way they've knocked the ball about to see to see the impact and to see the effect he's had on this team it has been nothing short of remarkable

34:21so give him whatever he wants give him whatever player he wants give him whatever budget he wants give him whatever allowance he wants to let whatever player he wants to go go

34:39because there's very clearly something there with this guy i i honestly i've not seen anything like it since pochettino in terms of the turnaround

35:01and I think this is a guy that just gets it did you see him like if you're well if you're watching on sky sports you probably wouldn't have seen it if you're in the ground but maybe you did but before the game even like 20 minutes before kickoff he's giving it to the supporters he's saying come on come on come on give it some come on let's get things building in here i'm sure he's giving it to the players but he's giving it he's holding the fans to account as well right you lot want to boo you've all had a go at us you've had a go at romero this week well i'm going to give you some back as well i'm going to tell you what your part in all of this is we need a bit of that we need a bit of passion we need just like in some ways because i feel like he is he could be potentially what pochettino was in the respect that he is at heart a proper football man that also understands football on a somewhat nerdy level, right?

36:10We overcompensated with a Frank who was like a football nerd, basically.

36:17He was not a proper football man because a proper football man does not sit there and deliver the we will lose game speech. A proper football man knows that's not what anybody wants to hear right now. That's not what anybody needs to hear at any point from the person in charge of their club. What they need to hear is like Roberto De Zerbe said, I'm going to win the last five games that Tottenham have. And we didn't quite do that, but we weren't a million miles off it. Because he set the bar, he set the bar at winning the last five games. And even our failure carried with it an echo of sort of glory, but I'm loathe to say that because the glory we're talking about is Tottenham staying up on the final day of the season.

37:28But the geezers got it. and you know you know like might have this artistic pretense about the stuff that i do but i think most people watching this know i'm a sort of thinly veiled proper football man right and i would imagine that most people watching are you know

37:54probably partial proper football people with a leaning towards some statistical analysis of stuff right

38:07but i think we all have a feeling for when someone is proper and when someone is not and deserbia stepped into this deserbia stepped into this mess

38:23and he's realized and it's do you know what like it's a big i'm sure it took some convincing right i'm sure it took some convincing to get him to step into this but to be fair to them they pulled it off they got deserve you to step into this mess

38:43and it's brave from him you know bright and kind of didn't end that well at least it got some eyeballs on him and his conduct and the way he handles things marseille see also a bit of a clusterfuck of a club but there was still maybe enough to fit people to say did deserve he handle it that well i don't know right and then coming into spurs in the mess that they were in and still are in step back into the premier league yeah there's a great opportunity there but at the same time personally speaking there's

39:29at the point he stepped in arguably there was more to lose for him on a personal basis than there was for him to gain because when he stepped in I would say gauging from like the responses I've had to these pods and from people I've spoken to 99 % of Spurs fans thought we were gone thought there was no way anybody was turning this around

40:07and he did it he's done it

40:17you have to you have to take your hat off to him and all that you know

40:27it's quite remarkable and it's, you know,

40:33just give him whatever he wants. I'm sure he's kept many of these players on side because he's needed to, but I'm also sure this geezer's not, you know, he's not a shrinking violet. He's going to be into them this summer. do you want to stay do you want to be part as pochettino was if you if you read or listen to lorice's biography autobiography or pochettino's biography written by um what's his name gillen balaguet

41:17you'll see that when he came in he basically said to a lot of these players are you on board are you in or are you out

41:27and I imagine that will be Deserby's first point of call Mickey are you in do you want to stay if not go we'll sell you done Christian do you want to stay no fine go we'll sell you we'll get somebody else in

41:51Kudos, you're not very happy with the medical department? Do you want to stay? No? Go. He's the type of gaffer that will do that type of thing and that's exactly what we need. And I'm not trying to single these players out in particular, but these are the players where there's the most smoke, if you like.

42:18Whatever it is that's happened, whatever kind of culture has grown over the past few years that needs to be stamped out and now I trust I trust I trust somebody like De Zerby to be able to sort that out he's earned that look what he's done for us look at what he's done for us

42:44this run of games to the end of the season is arguably one of the most important runs of games in the club's entire history

42:57and it shouldn't be understated and whatever he does the guy deserves full trust and full respect

43:09it's uh yeah it's unbelievable um

43:21let's just have a look i'm trying to look at what other people are saying

43:29deuces wild says thank you for saving our club roberto deserby no will it says get in john benfield says i never want to go through that again ridley 82 says i've aged 30 years

43:55um jack underhill says we're fucking massive but no seriously that was gross now we need to run that shambles of a board out of town grandma smosh says let us never speak of this season again

44:16aries 7000x says we did it coys coys coys

44:23ample samples says thank fuck for that we can't have another season like this things need to change massively

44:33jrc says our long nightmare is over mentally draining season thanks for doing all the pods through it jack no no worries at all mate thank you the lock and soul express thank you very much mate for the uh i was i don't know what the word is like contribution there let's say that contribution on youtube well thank fuck for that appreciate you appreciate you too mate thank you for you know sticking with it because it's been a miserable year um steve h says relief so much weight released 3 25 a.m now got to try and get try and get sleep before work coys sorry mate spr for it says we've done it lads in victor says thanks mate these reactions helped me get through the stress never had to do that never had to do them again please

45:35ben dennis says the absolute cinema that is roberta deservey is going to unleash on the club now yeah ian 3415 says december that all started today it ended sat here quietly contemplating what just happened yeah i mean that's just that's what it is isn't it ridley82 says there's still two percent of me thinking that we aren't safe yeah

46:10and i don't mean to be crass about it let's talk about it in a completely football sense that's a sort of sort of footballing ptsd isn't it like you know I don't mean to minimise people that genuinely go for that type of horrific thing. Jake Goodyear says 2.30am, fucked. John Benfield also says, when that goal went in, my eyes were full of tears. Yeah. Genuinely, when the final whistle went, so on like 100 minutes, Charlotte was saying to me when we were watching, Charlotte was being like, great, so we stayed up, so what needs to happen now is the board need to blah blah blah and I was like Charlotte no the final whistle hasn't gone and then literally as I was like in this mansplaining like bullshit kind of like reason as to like ridiculous reason as to why Spurs might still lose the final whistle went and I just crumpled up into a ball on the sofa and was like crying into a pillow and she's there holding the ween being like you're watching daddy you're watching daddy being silly about the football and it's like yes yes you are that's your father a simple simple man

47:40he loved you but he was a simple man um snake three five one six says i love you jack i love you too mate i love you too joey august says we are 17th say we are 17th we are 17th say we are 17th zeros and ones says was funny pissing on skies parade that's all coys

48:17dusty neighbor says never again all in caps locks so i think he's i think he's quite serious about that point as well um mentamina says thanks thank heavens we have to learn from this or we'll be right back here in 12 months sambuka says been a horrible season but thank you jack you and the fighting cock lads have got me through it your content has been incredibly cathartic up the rule the roost thank you very much mate um appreciate it thank you for sticking with me as all this has been going on. And yeah, much love to the Fighting Cock lads and everybody else, really. All the other pods. Hometown Glory, View From The Lane, Echoes of Glory.

49:06Loads, sorry. There's all of them. Just listen to all of them. Jake Goodyear says, I see West Ham as a respectable club run by idiots and a stark reminder of how bad things could be. Yes. exactly that

49:29Pirate Dred Roberts says Linkin Park haircut went now I said Pirate Dred Roberts I said I would have gotten the Linkin Park haircut if we won the last five games but I'll revert I'll flip that too now I'll do the shameless plug there'll be plenty of you listening right now who listen yeah i'm gonna say listen every week on spotify because i've got the numbers right who still still have not dropped me even like a four-star review on spotify not even a review let alone a five-star but if you drop me the five stars on spotify right and give me if i get to a thousand ratings over the summer before next season begins if i get to a thousand ratings at least on spotify then i'll get the link in park haircut and go to all right there we go i'll reverse i'll change it to that because we didn't get the fight i said if if deserve he won the last five games and you know he didn't do that he's not he's not i know i've been going on about him oh isn't he great oh he turned the club around my club all that stuff i was saying at the top right pathetic pathetic um but whatever he's good um

50:58steve h says got a good manager here let's back him please yep Ridley82 says West Ham could lose some big names. Not fair on them. Their owners are awful. Yep. Brian Park says Neville was begging for Everton to score, wasn't he? Yes, he very much was. If you were watching on Sky, he was so bitter and he was so bent out of shape at halftime that it looked like Spurs were likely going to stay up. And I was so rattled by that. but I've gone on about Neville enough for one day so there we go

51:37Jake Goodyear says imagine losing your home ground your soul and everything for that I mean to be fair Jake you could say the same as Spurs to a degree we've stayed up on the final day of the season mate two 17th place finishes in a row I don't we're not really in a place to grandstand at the moment is all um James Reed says call it tin pot I don't care Spurs are my club my only club this season has been a mental prison but tonight we eat well I'll admit it I shed a tear good man and enjoy it get alpha health says what a relief somehow better points tell even last season I mean somehow but we were terrible last season as well so

52:32Adnick says watched it on a dodgy stream and was relieved each time it cut out so I could relax HSM19 says thanks for keeping us sane these shows have been therapy throughout this bleak season thank you and come on you fucking Spurs thank you for tuning in mate Dave Spurs thank you very much for the contribution on YouTube mate I appreciate it we fucking did it next season I can see us challenging for the league oh whoa whoa whoa whoa buddy whoa whoa whoa all right I'll let you go with it I'll let you go with it next season I can see us challenging for the league kudos Kulisevsky and Maddo's back will be huge with Vuscovic and any signings hashtag coys look do you know what let's just let's believe let's believe um phil mayo says we've done it jack evan newell says we live now get these charlatans out max truva says where did pig mole where did pig mole get nine from i've no i've no idea stinking stinking little pigs Rob Doherty says Massive credit to Deserby I thought we were gone and he pulled us back from despair Massive summer ahead but today's a massive relief it's all massive it's all massive in Rob's world but today's a massive relief Shopping at K Marks says we deserved that we did not deserve to go down the extra nine minutes is emblematic of the type of officiating we've had this season come on you fucking Spurs and that's it fuck them all again they're all desperate for us to go down we're here to spoil the party Yorkshire Spurs says I'll tell you what we celebrate sticking it up every other club and fan that laughed at us and wanted us to go down yes Roberto Camp says Roberto deserve he is Moses 10m scally says thank you for your season of pods mate now let's never speak of this again mika kelner says football is emotion you can't control what it evokes from you yes diary of a football hooligans says come on jack up the spurs

55:04really also says the famous saying football is the most important thing of all the unimportant things in the world who was that it was one of the liverpool fellas wasn't it um

55:17shankley maybe or paisley one of them wasn't it that said it but bang on

55:29bust a lane never again tony friend jeez ricochet pig ricochet pig i love you all come on you motherfucking spurs 320 music vb glad that's over because now we can finally draw a line under this as our worst premier league season relief doesn't even begin to describe what i felt at the final whistle and that's it it's it's month i'm not afraid to say you know like we we haven't we have an infant in the house right seven month old so our last few months have been waking up in the night right and once you get past the initial sort of thing of like i need to keep a human being alive and now i need to sort of drift off back to sleep before i go to work in the morning my head has been like topnam topnam are shit aren't they we're gonna get relegated i'm getting messages from people the baby's crying again jack can you go make a bottle yes but i'm thinking about important things at the moment you know

56:52marcy says glad i wasn't wearing my garmin today my heart rate would have broken the thing alexander smith says most fun thing about all this everyone wanting us to go down and not caring that west ham went down proves that we are massive and west ham are bobbins no look look come on i've done all the nice bit at the top right you know i've done all the nice bit about like people and jobs and stuff so let's just you know

57:21henry williams says i know exactly what you mean about not laughing at west ham but growing up as a Spurs fan in Essex this is glorious fine I'm not here to police the way you feel about anything because what I would say is if it was this exact same scenario and we were sending Chelsea down I would be sat here I'd probably have my top off no one wants to see that but I have my top off swinging my shirt around my head like you know so I get it

57:55tim in says coys cheered my heart out now gotta try and get to sleep at 3 30 a.m in australia before working a few hours mick hanscombe says buzzing to be staying up 17th place does however reflect poorly on the corporate frauds who run our club great shift from the players and fans today bang on grandma smosh says nobody cares that arsenal won the league in three years they will be forgotten i couldn't care less let him enjoy it do you know i mean great well done enjoy your trophy now get off my property i hope i hope the prize winning teaches some lessons in not being melts and decorum

58:47Praetorian Dwarf says, two years in a row, we've almost been relegated. The club needs to be alert to this over the summer and starting tomorrow. Spurs should never, caps, be near relegation and the team needs a ruthless rebuild. Bang on. As much as I was relaying your message in a slightly churlish and sort of piss-takey fashion there, Praetorian Dwarf, i agree with every single word peter doodle says deserve he's played a blinder since he came in he has welcome in pieces says get in there going for the title next year mate linking park air cuts all around um now that we're safe ricochet pig origin story please yes yes yes yes ricochet pig You owe it to the people.

59:46Terry, big love. Never in doubt. Fuck them all. Yes, lads. Marcy248 says, thanks for all the videos this season, Jack. This autopsy of the season begins now. Yes. This is the thing, right? The end of the season. It shouldn't be a summer holiday for these people. Like, we don't get a summer holiday. Your average working Joe, right? And these people getting paid like a million. but johan langer is probably on let's let's let's say a conservative estimate johan langer's on half a million pounds a year and that's a conservative estimate right half a million pounds a year it's a lot of money do your job mate do your job vinai vinai will be on at least a mill a year 1.2 he'll have bonuses if spurs do well of a mill upwards every single year do your job mate you know do your job Ben Mathias says what do we say to the EFL not today referees have been a disgrace this year so fuck the PGMOL hope they enjoyed that yes lad Lord Spurs get in shopping at Kmart says never apologise to your emotions it's why we watch I mean watch me or watch football both probably done Jotter says couldn't care less about them winning us going down would have been a bigger story the nation is obsessed with us and we spoil their party pack the bunting away you goons we're not going anywhere we're not and I genuinely we need this energy we need this and I'm sure I'm certain Deserby will will be utilizing this look at the way they all spoke about you last year look at what they want for this club let's show them all let's show them all

1:01:51um bilham doll says thanks to these after each mat jacket are you going to be doing this for the world cup i probably actually will mate i probably actually will i'm sort of trying to work out exactly how i'm gonna do it for the world cup um if it would just be england games or if it would be like big games or whatever but we'll work something out um we all love the world cup don't we we can enjoy it a bit more now the girl gaffer says first win in 2026 came at the perfect time fair play your players played like their lives depended on it i'll be interested to know who the girl gaffer supports them but that's a it's a fairly pleasant message so thank you hbo says let's go coys let's go let's go good old arry as well hat trick in the dfb book on dfb

1:02:54got to see him lift the world cup this summer though you know it's sort of the thing is i was talking about this earlier with charlotte you had the sort of the the weight of like belief even from like a lot of neutrals for just for messy to get a world cup last year and i feel like we need that a bit of a cane and i feel like that sentiment will have grown for cane a bit i think like playing at bayern munich Because whatever people want to say about the German league being a farmer's league and stuff, playing at Bayern is a big platform. Like it is. It's a big, big platform. And he's flourished on that platform as we all knew he would, right?

1:03:35He's a hell of a player. He's in the reckoning for the Ballon d 'Or. So that idea of him, he's England's greatest ever goal scorer, winning the World Cup with England as England captain, holding it aloft, being immortalised in that way. it's no lesson the fella deserves it's no lesson he deserves I've got no sometimes when I bring him up there's still Spurs fans that have that bitterness for him but I just don't get it I don't get how you can be because you know he's our boy he is and last time I said something about him somebody said to me he abandoned us did he he was with us for a long time man and we let him down a lot you know whatever good luck to him um

1:04:23eugene kaladeva says we have emotional investment um in any social connection it can get quite spiritual really yeah mt emirates says jack from an american spurs fan in california thank you for always being here to connect fans around the world during this try and season on to another season with this community in the prem coys thank you very much mate appreciate that um can i do a shameless plug here i am going to do a shameless plug if you do want to connect with people further join the rule the roost patreon rtr wait hang on patreon.com slash rtr pod and there's a discord channel there is our discord server i'm old i don't get it whatever come and ebay your youtubes on my discord um discord server starting to pop off a bit now right a lot of people chatting so you know if you like if you like my pods if you like my post match reactions come in jump in join the discord and have a chat um that's shameless in that that's pathetic i see i've turned i've turned mt america's nice message there right into a cynical opportunity for myself oh wow um welcome in pieces says all snow arsenal fans are fucking weird my mate messaged me asking if they win the champions league is the lego man a better manager than klopp i don't like either but lego man isn't even close i don't know if this is time to talk about it but i think he's probably closer than we'd like to admit but no i don't i don't think i don't think he's clock level yet i don't think he is but if we're breaking it down on like what they've achieved and everything if they do win the champions league then i don't think he's a million miles off that's all but we'll have to see we'll have to see what the longevity of this project is and all that type of stuff but you know i don't care at the moment i don't care i don't care let them do their thing you know is what it is jordan white says is it too early to do a stay or go with these players no no come on i'm gonna need some summer content outside of the world cup right so the you best believe there's gonna be a stay or go with some of these but i mean it is right now Now, yeah, definitely too early.

1:07:02But anyway, Peter Doodle says, hopefully my IBS will stop now.

1:07:11Ankan Ryan says, goal difference Spurs minus nine, West Ham minus 22, Wolves minus 40, Burnley minus 38. Of the bottom four, we deserve the most not to go down. Fair, but that's also, you know, in the wider context is not the biggest flex is it mate Fran Mulvaney says should try living around Islington it's hell right now yeah I know fair Peter Turner says love your reaction YouTube videos it's been therapy thank you very much mate

1:07:48FS Anx says we are staying up so we are staying up jake goodyear says staying on the uh living on the other side of the world having grown up around london the tedious workplace banter has helped me realize how thoroughly awful the premier league is to watch solar sensitivity i mean it's getting that way a bit in it like i'm holding on to some hope for the world cup to still be that kind of beacon but you know the stakeholders who i won't mention by name because they aggressively target people who they perceive to be slandering them are trying their absolute utmost to uh drain all of the life out of this summer's tournament aren't they driven by suffering says um you're a big dog to me even my 69 year old dad loves the poise loves the pod coys thank you very much thank you very much mate and thank you to dad much love alan leslie says strangely flat after that up the spurs but fair enough alan i mean like alan for anyone that isn't aware is like home and away pretty much tottenham all the time coming from Scotland still going home and away most games I can imagine mate this season has taken an awful lot because to do to do that genuinely speaking on a normal basis is a lot right it's a lot to to give a lot of your life to follow in the club wherever you live wherever you're coming from but especially when it's from a considerable distance away um I get it mate flatness a sense of relief whatever it is just you know you do you mate and you know fair play to you lad um

1:09:53roberto camp says huge summer ahead it is it's massive it's massive and again it gives us that idea as to what sort of a club we want to be really doesn't it what sort of club the owners think we're capable of being grandma smosh says would you take bowen he would do well and i'd take i would take jarrett bowen in an absolute heartbeat um but again i don't want to say that in a glib smug way but he's a fantastic footballer he's a fantastic player um weirdly i think he's quite a tottenham player as well to be honest with you um so

1:10:44yes i would take jared bowen in a heartbeat but i think he's proper west ham i don't think he'd come to us i i actually don't um and in a certain way if it makes sense i'd probably judge him if he came to spurs in a way i don't think i'd be celebrating it there'd be that bit of me that would just be a bit like you're a bit of a knob you know coming to spurs especially under these circumstances we've stayed up instead of west ham you know

1:11:22vim fuego says massive rents of belief today

1:11:31and for anybody watching on youtube i think hang on has the pod gone on youtube i think it's gone i think if anybody's watching on youtube i think the stream has just died for some reason um just keeps saying reconnect to keep streaming but let's say reconnect continue streaming sorry for anybody listening to this i know this doesn't always make for the most uh

1:12:16it doesn't make for the best listening does it um but i've probably what i mean it's an hour and 11 minutes long this pod anyway look when all is said and done spurs have stayed up west ham have gone sorry lads

1:12:40it's uh it's a shame um but we're up and there's just an enormous sense of relief about the whole occasion there's a big the big big big summer ahead lots of big pods to do to unpack everything that we've been feeling for the past few months everything that we want to see from the club in the next few years months weeks whatever but

1:13:14come on you spurs you know this is the thing this is the thing about this club when you think all the stuff that we project onto it they're gonna let us down when we most need them and all that type of stuff is generally true but sometimes sometimes just sometimes they can turn up and surprise us Ajax Bilbao you know and today is one of those days this today was one of the biggest games in the Cubs history and they stepped up and they did the business and Roberto De Zerbi led them to that so thank you Jaupelina thank you Roberto De Zerbi much love to all of them much love to every single one of you that's listened and sent me questions and contributed down the season this isn't it for the year there will be more pods to come and everything like that but for now we've done it we've done it we haven't done anything but you know what I mean the club have done it there's a sigh of relief whatever Arsenal do from this point they do if they win the Champions League not pleasant but so be it we've stayed up and that's the most important thing come on you Spurs I fucking love this football club come on you Spurs up the Spurs let's fucking have it into them next season come on you Spurs
