In short
Post-match reaction to Tottenham’s 1-1 draw vs Leeds, focusing on anger at “disgrace” officiating/VAR, Spurs’ relegation fight, and whether outcomes feel “scripted.” The host argues Spurs have repeatedly been hit by inconsistent refereeing, including disputed penalty decisions and minor fouls that stop Spurs’ attacking rhythm.
Guest backgrounds
No named guests appear in the transcript; it’s a solo, stream-of-consciousness post-match pod with listener comments/messages read aloud.
Key claims

0:11um right well this is gonna drag on isn't it this is gonna drag on and on and on probably till the last day of the season the scenario that yeah we all feared um
0:33I don't know my head's on absolute miles after that one. I'll be honest. I'm truly livid and I'm really, really giving into the impulses of something dodgy's going on. You know, I'm not going fully into the sort of sense of victimhood that they definitely want Spurs relegated, but is football becoming all a bit more WWE? Are certain outcomes getting a bit more scripted to make things all a bit more exciting? Do they want the relegation battle going right to the wire to the very end of the season now that it looks like the title's been wrapped up? You know, I don't know. You say this stuff out loud and you're like, what are you going on about, you know?
1:25But I just, all season long, Spurs have been bad this year. Spurs have been terrible for large parts of this season, for the majority of this season.
1:39And I'm not trying to get away from that. But it feels like week after week after week, there is just a plethora of dubious decisions, poor officiating inconsistent officiating that always results in spurs just kind of getting a ordeal and you know i don't know if it if it if it
2:13eases some of the frustration to indulge some of this type of side of things to indulge some of the you know the conspiracy side of things then whatever maybe that's what i'm doing maybe i'm just trying to make myself feel better because the reality is that spurs didn't get the job done tonight or whatever despite a valiant effort you know there's always talk isn't there that people will people would disappear into like conspiracy loopholes because they don't want to face they don't want to face the the facts that staring them in the face more often than not because the facts are usually boring and the facts are usually unpleasant or palatable right but and i i acknowledge all this like there is a part of my brain that fully acknowledges that but there is also a part of my brain that continues to have the richard scudamore Sky Sports interview ringing around in it where he's talking about the strategy that they've developed at the Premier League to ensure that the competition remains exciting.
3:26You know? What do they mean by that? You know? What do they mean? Why does the governing body have a strategy to ensure that certain teams will be successful or not? Like, that doesn't make sense. you put the competition on, you host the competition, right? And teams compete for that. It's not the destiny of said outcome is not in your hands after that point. It's not your design. You know, this is all, this is, you know, I could be, I'll say, I could, I'll say I could be worse right now. All right. The way I feel, the way I feel about a lot of this, a lot of the last few weeks of the sort of call Spurs have been getting or not getting.
4:27Look tonight, right. Let's say, tell, it's going to split. It's going to split people, right? It's going to split people. He shouldn't have had a high boot in the box. Maybe.
4:43but the ball is in his vicinity. The Leeds player is attacking the ball. So are we saying every time now, if you want to win a penalty, you can just jump into somebody's boot? I don't know. I don't think it's as clear. I'm not having it. I'll be honest. I'm not having it that it's as clear cut as some people are saying. He's got a high boot in the box. Obviously that's a penalty. Not as clear cut as Alan Smith, who was, even by his own lofty standards, was totally, totally unbearable this evening on the comms. And why Sky continue to torture us with him every single time Tottenham play. Every single time Tottenham play.
5:29We have to have a literal Arsenal man, a man that does not in any way, shape or form hide his allegiance to them, commentating on our games giving the most unbalanced account of what's going on always constantly but tonight in particular so even if we're taking the tell thing out of it i'm talking the most minor infractions time after time after time spurs would get pulled up on minor infractions minor sort of taps or whatever leads players go down the referee just buys it The referee just takes it every single time, which is always consistently stopping Tottenham's flow, stopping the sort of attacking patterns that Spurs were building up, which, you know, had we held on, I would be leading with actually quite how remarkable the turnaround has been under De Zerbe.
6:23And I don't think tonight's result changes that. You know, I'm fully holding my hands up that I completely underestimated Roberto De Zerbe and his ability as a manager because some of the football that Spurs were playing tonight was out of this world. Knocking the ball about with purpose, with speed. Really, really remarkable. You know, especially when you consider like where this team were before he came in. You know, this is a team that looked totally incapable of doing anything. but he's come in and you know Spurs look very competent you know I'm sat here fuming about a draw in that game as opposed to resign to it and sort of saying yeah you know we're gonna go down we're useless like it has been for the majority of this season but I do feel frustrated I feel incredibly frustrated I feel incredibly frustrated about the inconsistencies that we see.
7:36I think I would say when I saw the Madison penalty shout at the end there, there is that bit of me that's like, you can see the Leeds player has gotten a toe on the ball. And in my head, the second I see that, I'm like, VAR aren't going to give that. VAR aren't going to give that as a penalty. But to say that it was a controlled challenge, to say that he hasn't wiped Madison out in the same action is not true. And those are things that have always been part of the consideration when giving a penalty. But now, because of VAR and it gets slowed down to two, three frames, you can stop it when a toe of a boot is like touching the ball before he completely wipes James Madison out.
8:26Lovely to have him back. lovely to see him get a good welcome um i mean look you can't you can't hold it against the guy i'm not saying it but you can see he's he's definitely not fit he's definitely not match fit but good on him you know probably quite an emotional moment for him coming on after after a year and i'm pretty sure we were all sat there hoping praying wishing that he would get a winner you know a thunderbolt out of nowhere right but that wasn't to be um yeah look you know we got two points on West Ham I'd rather be in this position than the position we were in a few weeks ago when we were behind them adrift in the relegation places but as we've seen as we've done it this can all change very quickly luckily for us Newcastle look like they've got a bit of a clue again they got Guimieres back they've got um Joe Linton back as well um I think they've got Tonali back as well Baker was saying when I had him on the pod the other day so you know with that stronger midfield you would imagine that Newcastle are going to be probably a bit more robust you would hope but still we've got to go to Stamford Bridge and do something and look Chelsea have Chelsea have absolutely stunk the league out for the past couple of months but they showed a bit of spirit at Anfield um they got rid of Rosinha and they love turning up against Tottenham don't they they always have done it's their personality um doesn't matter what they're winning doesn't matter if they're winning the Champions League or a Premier League or anything they want to sing about Tottenham for whatever reason because they're a soulless nothing club that before Roman Abramovich came in half of their stadium was a car park I mean it wasn't Abramovich but still I mean technically that's true technically that's true before before Abram no wait hang on that's not true at all I've just tied myself in knots there I'm just I'm just propagating for oh whatever I'm talking about Chelsea don't care stink what are you gonna come on here gonna come on a Tottenham stream and oh no actually to give Chelsea their dues.
10:51No, do one. Don't want to hear it. Chelsea, kids for a quid. Ken Bates bought a club for, what,£10 or something. Nothing. Nothing club. Running track, car park, Combat 18, National Front, all of it. Stink. Absolutely stench of a club. We play Madness. Do one. Do you know what I mean? Like, I'm just not having it.
11:31I don't know.
11:35I don't know. This is just very... It's just very frustrating. It's very, very frustrating that we're in this position.
11:55Robert Glentworth says VAR having its moment as the perfect tool to rig football right at the end of the season
12:07that's Robert Glentworth's opinion I'm not saying anything libelous 320 Music VB says deflating result got to hope Newcastle come out swinging and we can get a point at Chelsea somehow
12:27Lock and Soul Express says they glossed over the penalty shout at the end a bit yeah they did of course they did you know
12:38Jared Gillett isn't it Jared yeah Jared Gillett the referee tonight is an Aussie I had no idea. I had absolutely no idea until I was moaning about him on Twitter. And somebody said, yeah, he was just as hated in the A-League. He was just as terrible there. So, yeah, that's just an interesting thing.
13:08Big Y says, kick Tel and Kala Moani out of the club tonight. I'm sick to death. I mean, Tell's goal was something special. Tell's goal was something special. His performance was up and down outside of the penalty, should we say. It was a fairly up-down performance. There were moments when he was quite maddening and other moments when he was brilliant. There was that little moment in the first half where he took on sort of the lead's defence and basically went straight through them. and I think it was Rodon who got there right at the end to make a block. Rodon, who was annoyingly good tonight, I've got to say, actually, for them.
13:53Really good performance. Obviously, showing up against a side that didn't fancy him.
14:02Yeah, Colomarani, though, you know, I don't get it, really. I don't get it. I'm not having him. yeah it's it's a funny one because you know there's talk that Deserby wants him there's talk that Deserby wants him permanently and I think right now we're in the place aren't we where we'd say if that's what Deserby wants then let him have him but if we're sat there being the you know the armchair decision makers then no you know he's not i think he's been i think he's been trying and that's decent that's nice but i just don't i just don't think he's very good i don't think he's very good at all really there's obviously a player in there he's shown it in the past um but don't know don't know if there's a touch of the team i warn us about it maybe you know just sometimes some players they just get it in their heads a bit too much that they're not the guy that they don't have it or whatever I don't know you know but it's it seems to be sometimes impossible to get that back and I think Timo Werner's a perfect example of that because he's a guy that dominated the Bundesliga looked absolutely unbelievable had top clubs in Europe after him Chelsea won it and just never really settled properly at Chelsea.
15:43Wasn't abject, really fully abject, but wasn't of the required level. And then it's just been pretty awful, hasn't it, ever since? And you would say that of Colomarani, wouldn't you? Smashed it at Frankfurt, sought after, gets the move to PSG. He's always in the French team, Played in the World Cup final. I mean, maybe it's that. Maybe it's the miss in the World Cup final that's done him in. You know, it's quite a moment. It's quite a moment, isn't it, really? All things considered.
16:24Robert Glenworth also says, nothing but love and respect for Kinski. What a character. After Madrid. After Madrid, sorry. Never want to see Vicara again in my life. I mean, yeah, I did want to talk about him a lot because it's actually quite remarkable. And Charlie Parrish made this point on Twitter a couple of weeks ago. This isn't his point exactly, but it's essentially having a keeper that can actually kick the ball about, that is actually comfortable with the ball at its feet. you realise how much confidence it instills and how much solidity it instills in the rest of the team. You've got the defence who don't seem totally rattled every time the ball goes near the keeper anymore.
17:13The keeper can just sort of set the tempo a bit, set the pace, allow the team to reshuffle, allow the team to get into more of a shape that the manager's probably worked upon, as opposed to just every single time the ball would go anywhere near Vicario. He's just kicking it out of player. He's kicking it back to the opposition or whatever. Or he's getting the ball at his feet and he's tying himself in knots, trying to be too clever and inviting pressure onto us. You know, it's just, it's a different game. And, you know, I've not made my thoughts hidden on Vicario the past few weeks. I really do think having somebody else who's clearly pretty competent between the sticks for a while makes you realise, I think, honestly, actually quite how bad Vicario is.
18:09Not bad. Like, bad isn't fair because I do think he's a competent goalkeeper. I think he's an excellent shot stopper. again I just go back to the point where I like do I think he's miles better than somebody like Gazzaniga or Evorm you know the type of keeper that was our second or third choice goalie a few years ago no I don't I really don't think he's miles above sort of keepers of that quality Kinski it remains to be seen but the performances he's put in since he's been made sort of de facto number one since Vakari's injury are really quite remarkable again they're really unbelievable the way he's been playing after as Robert says there the Madrid game where if you look at I forget his name, Loris Karius.
19:14You look at what happened to him, and I know that was a Champions League final, so again, it's kind of different, but still. It just destroyed him. Like I was saying of Werner before, it destroyed Karius, really, that game. Whereas Kinski, I don't know, he hasn't let that define him. he's really stepped up and he's he's shown something I mean the save speaking of Rodon the save he made from that header from Rodon I think it's from a corner or across after a corner was brilliant really great point blank brilliant reaction save held on to the ball lovely yeah Stel Morrison says on reflection are we happy dash happier now Arsenal won yesterday I don't know I'm just that that's gone that's been and gone you know like there's too much talk for me I'm not I'm not saying this of you I'm saying it of everyone but there's too much talk about what Arsenal are doing and do Spurs fans want this from Arsenal or would we rather if we go down, they don't win anything, and all this stuff.
20:30I'm tired of those sort of conversations. I just want to think about Spurs right now, and I want Spurs to stay up, you know? It's funny, and I get it, and I know why we all have those conversations. It's that sort of gallows humour, catastrophising stuff, but also I'm just sort of fed up of it. I'm fed up of, like, days like today. you know i just sort of thought maybe we are going to win them all maybe we are going to win all of our remaining fixtures you know we're looking really really good and just to just to sort of see for periods of that game the old wobble creep back in you know and i think look this is this is a severely depleted side you know so you know i i want to be I want to be fairly measured in my criticism of them because I think they have put in a really, really good effort tonight.
21:32Bentancur again was great. Polinia, not quite as great tonight, actually.
21:41I think given that one of the main things he's held up for is his almost impeccable at times tackling ability, it wasn't very good tonight. he actually missed, he sort of went in quite rash and missed a couple of Leeds counters that invited pressure onto us. And I think he actually at times tonight wandered into, sort of veered almost into headless chicken territory. Connor Gallagher was decent tonight. Nothing like his Villa performance, but he was okay. but just generally speaking the team were good they were really good and there were certain passages of play like I say where they're knocking the ball about crisp, cleanly with some purpose you can see De Zerbe's effect there but when Leeds when it started to come a bit on when it started to come on top with Leeds going for us they got the penalty especially after that especially after the goal we just seemed pretty rattled and it suddenly felt like there was something there with a few of those players where they were like, oh God, we're back.
22:57We're suddenly that same old team. It's almost like the, I don't know,
23:04the sort of the potions worn off or something and they need to get more of it because they're sort of mortal again. And they're suddenly like, look, no, you know, they just, I don't know, they just seem to get rattled And it was just frustrating to have that. And it's frustrating to have another sort of game where you hear lamenting things and you're moaning about like refereeing or VAR conspiracies and all that type of stuff, you know, because because, you know, again, like I say, the reality is it's just frustrating. It's frustrating for Spurs to be just continually in this position. and you know there's a few of my pals who I speak to about this who are quite checked out even even with sort of Deserby coming in obviously you know they're I'm pretty sure they're celebrating Tottenham's wins and stuff but I think what's starting to settle in now is a feeling amongst a lot of people that whatever we do whatever Deserby is capable of doing we're always going to have Enoch in charge and while we have Enoch in charge we're just not going to be a serious team and I mean look that's that's us that's us projecting stuff from years of hurt and all that stuff at their hands but it's hard not to feel that way it's hard not to feel that way it's hard not to feel that you can only change things so many times you can only change personnel in the dugout or on the pitch so many times until really the thing that's been staring us in the face all this time just comes back around you know and it's and it's enic and look you know i don't want to doom this too much because deserve he has been great and there is there's there's look you've got to sort of talk about this stuff in a measured fashion you've got to sort of use your quiet indoor voices for this sort of thing don't you but it's there is a sense I think you know there is a feeling that I have that if if we stay up if we keep deserving and if the people that own this football club heed the warning of this season and act seriously and decisively this summer and back to Zerbe, there is a feeling, there's just a quiet feeling that we could be capable of doing something quite brilliant.
25:43However, right now, we're sat here, again, staring relegation in the face.
25:57and you know that's just that's just the that's just the the fact of the matter right now you know it's been fun it's been good the villa game was great it was good to get the points at wolves bright and we played very well it was it was you know so so close to a win as well there's plenty to be happy about there's plenty you know it's um you know at one point it looked like we'd already be gone by this point you know and now we've got a real fighting chance and as Deserby said in his presser just a couple of weeks ago let's not write ourselves off you know let's have some belief and let's kind of take that take that forward with us let's stop thinking about all the things that have gone against us and think about the great things that we have it's just in the wake of these sort of games it's just really it's just really frustrating you know and that's kind of the point of these post-match pods it is in the moment and it is a bit of a vent and that is it is kind of why it frustrates me a bit because i do these i do these post-match pods that are raw and look you know it's unscripted i'm i'm saying i'm not saying this i'm not patting myself on the back but what i'm saying is is it's stream of consciousness it's the way i'm feeling right now in this moment after a game and so when somebody listens after two or three days and they say oh no why are you saying that why are you saying this what a you know deluded opinion on x y and z it's like well more often than not when you listen to the pods that i do in the week once the dust has settled and i'm speaking to somebody else and you're sort of bouncing ideas back and forwards more often than not i will end up checking myself or something like that or you know or going even deeper down certain rabbit holes but the thing is in these with these sort of pods it's why i quite like doing them live now on on YouTube and stuff as well, because it, it does have that immediacy to it.
28:04Is it? Yeah. I'm not, I'm not sitting in my car shouting and screaming and stuff like people have done before. Right. You know,
28:14but it is frustrating. It is frustrating. And I don't know. I've, I've sort of lost my chain of thought on that. Funnily enough, but it's just,
28:29it's just that creeping that feeling in the back of your mind again where you're like had we won tonight you're really feeling like we're all but safe we're all but safe if we win tonight but now it's fully game on again you know it's fully game on Chelsea and Everton are it's not I just want to see where Everton are in the league and how much they will be because I know Everton will be pushing for something some type of European football 49 points I mean in fairness it would take something miraculous for Everton to get European football now actually I didn't realise they'd sort of fallen off a bit it was only a few weeks ago that they were just outside of the Champions League places isn't it I think well and then maybe they lost to Liverpool didn't they at home and maybe that's derailed them a bit I've not really been following them but they're a bit further off the European places than I thought they were.
29:53So let's hope it stays that way. Let's just hope it's mathematically... I mean, what would it take for them to be mathematically out of the race to European football?
30:06So if... I think if Brighton... Basically, if Brighton or Bournemouth... If Brighton or Bournemouth win another game, then Everton aren't Everton aren't getting I mean Bournemouth need a point and if Brighton win a game um then Everton aren't getting European football so hopefully that will be all sewed up um before the last day of the season and Everton are just dejected and don't really have anything to play for not that that really matters evidently because Leeds didn't really have anything to play for and decided to play their hearts out tonight you know nice cheers lads

30:51yeah Phil Mayo says highway robbery we've not had a penalty awarded in almost two full seasons of league matches hacker cps says oh wait hacker cps is replying somebody cob 21 says i think we fucked it um and hacker cps was replying saying yeah it's not looking good jack underhill saying cursed club guy who scores a world he then gives away a pen yeah it just feels that way doesn't it. Ample Sample says the refs seem to really have it in for us.
31:40Robert Gleimworth says one more point and we're safe but this is going to game 38 as Chelsea will not let us get safe there. I don't know. I'd love to share your optimism Robert but I'm not so sure.
31:59Chris Jones says, the amount of money in this league compared to the quality of the officiating, Gillett should be nowhere near the Premier League. I mean, I wouldn't say he's the exception to it, to be fair, mate. Like there's several of them that are awful, to be honest. Is it Madley? Madley the one that looks definitely like a rugby fan? That's what people say. somebody dug out an old tweet of mine which i actually made myself laugh i wish i was still capable of such witticisms said i think it's is it it is madly isn't it says he looks like the type of guy that says ciao when he ends a phone call you know um and it's true he does well done jack of a few years ago when you still had some brains um pip walker said var is legalized match fixing i've always said this mr stephen stotch says another decision against spurs these refs are a disgrace he got the ball apparently what a joke got to hope the geordies do us a favor um jonas milner says having been in the ground for forest brighton and now this latest damp squib i'm beginning to be convinced that these players have an insurmountable mental more block at home you can feel the fear i mean that's enough that's another point isn't it that i've not even really touched on it's another home game another home game that we flopped in um
33:35really annoying at this point if we're gonna if i'm gonna talk about things being annoying at this point i would say if you are watching on youtube right now please drop this a like um because there's quite a few of you watching and you know if you're not all liking it then why are you still watching but if you are still liking it please drop it a like if you are listening to the pod the audio version you can get it ad free on patreon patreon.com rtr pods um where you can also get preview pods and yeah all that other stuff as well jesus christ tucker says unfortunately it's going to be chelsea's cup final if we draw we should be safe again you know
34:28i'm just not so sure James Reid says tonight was a reminder of why we are where we are a chronic lack of quality in the final third and heads drop for 20 minutes after the goal positives Kinski is the one no need for a new goalkeeper yeah fair play mate James Nicholson says I know people love Richarlison but my god he is bad the only hope for me was that Madison made a big difference in terms of quality when he came on could be the difference um well charlison i i i just find it as a is a bizarre player because i don't agree i don't think he's bad but i think he's terribly inconsistent um i do think probably so because he was terrible he was awful tonight he didn't look like himself at all well he looked like the sort of whatever the bad one out of Jekyll and Hyde is tonight.
35:36But I did hear, well, I did hear Flav said on the fighting cock that he picked up a knock this week and he was 50-50 for this game. So maybe he's just not fully fit, you know. But it wasn't, I agree, it wasn't a particularly great performance from him and he is he is truly truly inconsistent um so there we go mjbthfc 1991 says i was happy for tell because he has got talent um but that crossed into his own box in the first half guard yeah i forgot about that as well that was what was he doing um and the overhead kick are two inexcusable decisions pirate dread roberts says i don't think tells was a penalty bloke grabbed the top of his head after the effort nowhere near tells foot i'm probably crazy though no i i agree with you i don't think it's a penalty either i will i'll die on that hill i don't think it's a penalty i think it's a nonsense decision um you know a nonsense decision
36:45Fran Mulvoney says I'm sick of VAR it's sickening to watch people in the studio create outcomes that should just be down to the ref on the pitch like today and yesterday
36:58Dave Bowerman says if we stay up it will be in spite of the pgmol in spite of our board in spite of pundits yeah certainly feels that way doesn't it mate cracker 130 says ffs i just want to relax i can't keep going through this stress every week of course it's a penalty to them and not to us of bloody course what a bit weird northern then it's my my yorkshire part coming out um
37:33yeah I think that's it I think that's the you know like the sort of point I'm in trying to nail is that the frustration and the just a sucker punch of it all it's just it's just so frustrating isn't it to be going through this again again another one when it's just we're just that close to safety and now you've got it there on your shoulder again the lincoln imp i was talking about this if anyone's ever seen the old there's an old bbc film called pender's fen and in that there's a scene that they use on all the promotional stuff because they want to make it seem a lot scarier than it is and it's not actually like a horror film really um sort of like a weird psychedelic folky coming of age film but there's a scene in nap when there's like a sleep paralysis demon thing sat on the protagonist's chest as he's lying in bed and it's just like i've got that just the lincoln imp though the lincoln imp with its one leg or its crossed leg whatever it is just sat there sat there on me in the night tottenham away i lay i lay you know why is their badge that bad can i just say that why why does it look like that like if you actually if you actually look if you google the because i know people say oh no it's it's a drawing of the relief on the lincoln cathedral no if you actually look at the if you actually look at the little gargoyle imp thing on the lincoln cathedral it doesn't look like that and please please don't tell me please don't tell me that because this this is going to be one of those things i say this and somebody says it's one of the director's kids who died that drew it or it's you know somebody with special needs or something drew it and i'm a terrible person for talking about how awful that lincoln illustration looks it's terrible sort it out you're a professional football club you've got this scribbled weird little badge like i don't want that i don't want that at the top of the motspur stadium next year unless it's in an fa cup game you know i don't want that i want to play that it's embarrassing that's what it is it's embarrassing
40:04peppercorn sauce says leads are going to be on the beach when they play west ham
40:13Richard James says tell hero and villain and it was a penalty on matters
40:25Phil Mayo says high boot in the box with no contact is not a penalty it's an indirect free kick there we go I guess they've bought his head-holding though, haven't they? That's the point there.
40:42Alexander Smith says, if we go down, I don't want to hear from anyone that it's not the ref's fault. Add that two points drop to the pile.
40:53David Chamberlain says, fair result. Thumbs up. Isle of Lily White says, I didn't watch Wolves or Villa because I was busy. The last games I watched were Brighton and Sunderland. turned on at 1-0 tonight so I think it's my fault um sorry guys
41:14Alan Leslie says so dejected um but trying to be positive we got a point however we need the competition etc tell didn't know he was behind him um actually feel bad for him he'll get abused yeah he will and no doubt it'll be horrible racist bilge that he'll get on instagram and we'll have another message from the club or something won't we saying we condemn this and still the social media platforms will do nothing about it and also look yeah okay social media platforms will do nothing about it but there's still pond life out there that's incapable of just being frustrated about a football match without having to resort to that type of thing, isn't it?
41:59You know, that's the root of it, isn't it?
42:07Now, Above Average FPL says, we just need a point. And if you've heard my pods with Baker of late, you'll know that the Above Average FPL lads know their stuff when it comes to numbers. so if they're saying we just need a point then maybe I should have more faith
42:36Richard James says the West Ham disallowed goal was the perfect way to conclude the end of this season Arsenal fouling VAR bias inconsistent refereeing at its most blatant I'm starting to hate this game yeah I mean look you know I don't I can't even be bothered to go into that i was talking about it on the preview pod um so you can listen to that there but yeah i agree mate it's you know wwe stuff you know we're talking isn't it now i do agree with this joseph bradley says richarlison has to score at one nil to make it two
43:12um but we could have lost because of tell stupidity and then kinski's great save yeah I was staggering that Richarlison missed that was actually a good cross and Mawani much as I dig him out um you know caused my tear hello lads how you doing um no words really Jack but that was devastating in the ground I imagine it was mate it just feels very very deflating and it feels like I say it's just that little tap on the shoulder from from the EFL isn't it being like we're still here we're still here Tottenham don't think you've got away from us yet you know
44:00Walex says just had an ad play over your face Jack WTF I mean that's that's YouTube my man sorry that's you know that's what it does um
44:16and then Leslie also says Kinski saved us twice yeah he did he's brilliant um
44:24Peter Turner says the biggest thing I'd say about this squad of players is the lack of intelligence all around uh we have so many players that lack brain cells silly fouls overhead kicks in her own box um metal guy says var is totally ruining games i'm stopping watching the prem after this season it's awful
44:57mr this says lincoln imp catching strays chris jones says abolish the trumpet i am in I am in full agreement with that, mate. I'm pretty sure you could probably chart our form falling off a cliff alongside the introduction of that trumpet. That trumpet? Whose decision was that? I don't get it. I've never gotten it. It's so rugby. It's so rugby sevens. A trumpet in a sporting setting. No. No. Stop it.
45:34John McGowan says Sky Commentary not even giving a moment's chat to the red card challenge on 10 in the first half literally stamps on his ankle yeah
45:47Kevsky says it all comes down to Newcastle versus West Ham if they win that we are down
45:59yeah I don't know I don't know do you know what I mean I don't know look we've all drawn I know what you're saying Kevsky like I'm you know I'm not trying to be a contrarian to you as an individual my only point is is that you know as I was talking to John Bass about a few weeks ago John Bass is the big John Bass show listen to it on Wednesdays
46:34we've at so many points this season said right that's it we're done right that's it it's all over if this thing happens then it's done if that thing happens then it's done but the reality is it's not done until it's done mate and we're just gonna have to hold on to the very end and just see what happens because it's just been such a season of like tying ourselves in knots working out permutations creating these scenarios of what might happen if this happens if that happens and really you know this year has shown that really nobody's got a clue about anything um it's just a mess it all just feels like a mess and there are positives from tonight and I think that's the thing to cling on to there are positives from tonight there is there is a spirit there that Roberto Dezerbi has put into this lot.
47:43There is some quality there. James Madison is back. Bentancur has been great since he's come back. Kinski's looking great. The Danso and Van der Ven partnership is, for the most part, looking pretty solid. There's positives to be had. There are. So we've just got to cling on to those and see it out to the end of the season and what will be will be. But I think that will be enough from me for one night. So thank you very much, everybody, for tuning in. Please drop it a like and a subscribe on YouTube. If you are, as I said earlier, if you are listening to the audio version, please leave a rating, leave a review.
48:32Again, I say, I'm here to say again, leave a five-star rating on Spotify. you can do it in seconds right you can do it in seconds do that let's get it up to at least let's get up to at least a thousand likes on spotify yeah come on come on do me that favor um also patreon patreon.com slash rtr pod but aside for that much love everybody frustrating but look this one's gonna go down to the wire in it so up the spurs
49:16We'll be right back.

Spurs missed the chance to open up a four point gap on West Ham this evening after one of the most shocking examples of officiating many of us will have ever seen took place. It felt like Spurs were in charge after Tel's wonder goal, but he went from hero to zero after his high boot in the box resulted in a penalty for Leeds and Spurs couldn't quite find a way back after that, despite James Maddison returning after more than a year away from the game.
