In short

The episode is a Tottenham Hotspur-focused Q&A reacting to a worsening season and relegation pressure. Hosts discuss Mohamed Kudus being “basically out for the season,” framing it as an inevitable result of poor squad building and playing too many competitions without enough depth. They also debate the fitness/availability of Johan Lange’s signings and the club’s injury record, including whether Dejan Kulusevski can ever return to full form after prolonged “wobbling” injuries. A major target is Johan Lange (ENIC regime), accused of incompetence and failing to build a squad capable of competing; they argue he should be sacked. They criticize Tottenham’s footballing direction under Daniel Levy’s legacy and complain about media narratives (e.g., Gary Neville) shaping public perception. Key examples: Atletico’s pitch/goalkeeping collapse affecting Kinski’s confidence; Spurs’ poor home league record; Vicario’s repeated errors; and the “bottom three” scenario if West Ham beat Wolves.

1:18Jack:hello everybody welcome back to rule the roost podcast rosa hometown glory podcast welcome back How are you? I'm all right, Jack. Thank you so much for having me. It's a really weird moment. I remember last season, you kept trying to get me on the pod to defend Ange, and I kept being like, I'm not going to be your crazy Ange ball zealot. And now I wish I'd done it, because that was more fun. And now I can look back and be like, I was so right. I like that you're admitting that you're a coward, though, in public. Completely. Me and Thomas Frank. That's all I can say. Look, let's not start on with the Ange culture war, because I get lots of very angry messages whenever I say that.

1:58Jack:Still! I don't particularly love him. He gave us Bilbao and I will forever be grateful for that. Let's move on. There we go. Let's move on. Let's start with a nice easy one. Obviously, we heard the news yesterday. I think it was Tom Barkley that first broke it, that Mahomet Kudus is basically out for the season. Great. Are we cursed? Oh, are we, Rosa? I don't think we are, actually. I thought about this a lot because it is ridiculous. It's ridiculous how many injuries we've had over the past few seasons. But it's inevitable. It's inevitable because if you want to play in multiple competitions and you pretend you're a big club who can do these things, but you don't build a squad capable of playing in multiple competitions, this is going to happen.

2:51Players aren't robots. Their bodies are going to break down. We have a lot of international players, so they're playing in multiple domestic competitions, multiple European competitions and international competitions. They cannot cope. And we haven't, we've just cheaped out again, basically. So to me, while it feels like a curse, like emotionally, it's just another inevitable consequence of shocking management, shocking squad building.

3:21Jack:Look at you bringing rationality to my... To my, you know, willy-nilly, oh, it's all magic and tarot cards and all that sort of stuff, right? Okay, all right. The crushing hand of reality. Well, if we're going to talk about the crushing hand of reality, let's talk about Roberta Deserby, apparently, taking Mohamed Kudus aside and telling him how important he is going to be for his plans for Tottenham staying up. And now we don't have him. I mean, what? Did he say that? Did he say that to Kudus? I mean, this is, again, it feels all a bit, trust me, bro, but I think it's some of the journalists have put that out into the ether somewhere.

3:57And Kuda's word, no thanks. Kuda, well, yeah, evidently, evidently.

4:00Jack:A bit much for me, that chief. I think I will. I don't need the crushing burden of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club weighing me down on top of my quad injury, is it? I mean, that also makes sense to me. That doesn't have to be like a conspiracy. It can just be, I don't really want to do this because I want to go to the World Cup, which is disgraceful, but also understandable. Are we talking about Kulisevsky now? Are we talking about Kulisevsky? Sorry. Hang on. Oh, oh, oh, oh, I went there. I went there. I'm sorry. Kulisevsky is not, I don't know if he's ever, where do you stand on Kulisevsky? Do you think he's ever going to play football again?

4:38Jack:It doesn't look good, does it? You know, the whole, how kind of rattled he got. And I understand, to be fair, I do understand it when you've gone through like a massive injury like that. And say somebody talks about you limping a bit out of context. of course he's going to be a bit rattled by that i think it's obviously something he's going to be very sensitive about um however for somebody that had a bit of a knock what how long ago are we talking now was it april march potentially it all blurs and even prior to that he wasn't like fully fit if i'm if i'm correct in saying right he's kind of he's been wobbling in and out of fitness and injury and then suddenly now just seemingly in this unending I don't know it's because the thing is it's not even like remember like back in the day Darren Anderton would be like would miss like a couple of games here and there it'd be like sick note that was sick note take me back take me back do you know what I mean no but he still probably played 20 plus games a season um i'm gonna look it up actually i bet you did whereas this is uh you know i'd honestly i don't think i've i don't think i've ever seen anything like this at spurs i really i really actually don't in and amongst all of the things that i don't think i've ever seen at spurs before happening this year um it's quite something because i mean look what's our i mean what's our other sort of point of reference ledley king who again played still managed yeah okay against doctor's orders and it was you know he was described as a freak rather you know sensitively by i think it was harry redknapp he still went out there sounds like harry yeah and played you know amazingly but yeah um blisevsky i don't know he cried because sweden qualified for the world cup will he be playing there i mean look if i was if i was a nicer person i'd probably say yeah i hope he does get to play for for sweden in the world cup but as a spurs fan no i absolutely i'll I'll lose my mind.

6:38Jack:I'll lose my mind if he plays for Sweden. I'm sorry. I'm not a nice person. Well, I think it's fair enough. You know, he's... The guy is one of our best players and we've really missed him for a long time. We need him desperately. And then if he goes off to the World Cup, I mean, it will probably happen. Let's be... That... Okay, I'll tell you what. Limps off after 10 minutes as well in his first game as well. I guarantee you. I guarantee you. If he gets there and he plays, then I will be like, this isn't about reality anymore. This is a curse. I'll give you that. Or again, if I'm to flip it on you, we have just basically allowed players to walk all over us in this way.

7:19I mean, also potentially true.

7:24Jack:I think again, though, it's one of those things, isn't it, where I think all players at pretty much all clubs are like this ahead of a World Cup. Seemingly other players, but they are on the verge of maybe a massively historic season. Let's hope not and let's not talk about that. Let's just, we're not talking about that. We're just, that's like a horrible shadow lurking around the corner. I'm just going to be like, I can't see you. If I shut my eyes, you can't see me. It's not happening. The night is dark and full of terrors, Rose. It really is this season, you know? I mean, to bring, look, let's point our eye at Johan Langer here because look, Mohamed Koulis is out.

8:04Jack:he said you know we're not going to panic in this january window we've got top players coming back and then sold brennan johnson and kudos is out whether or not right whether or not langer is the unfortunate face of the enic regime right if we're looking at kind of the thick of it style he's the guy that's getting paid probably at least half a million a year to do this he's the face of it he's the face of this failure he's gotta go doesn't he like there's this there's no way after this season he can stay in post and yes Archie Gray's gone on to be a great player and yes Lucas Bergvau looks like he's going to be a great player and there may be a few other youngsters here and there somewhere but overall as the guy who is the face of Tottenham bringing players to the football club he has absolutely failed hasn't he he's not just failed he's an absolute criminal like I genuinely I think he should be I think he should be in prison and it's put before the Hague right yeah proper like genuine genuine crimes against humanity um i can't he's so obviously incompetent he's so obviously you know that thing if people get promoted to like the point of their incompetence whatever it's called like he has kind of gone even beyond that now he is so visibly failing by every sort of measurable metric that it seems it's it's genuinely shocking to me how he's still in a job and i guess the only reason he's still there is probably because they need someone to blame and he's just a fool guy i mean it's quite i mean just look at him you know it's and he looks useless you shouldn't judge people by how they look but he looks useless and he is useless so you know it's what's inside matches the cover doesn't it like you know and and and And as you say, you know, this kind of promotional thing, like he was the nerd data, I'm going to find young players guy.

10:02Jack:And Perattici was more the, I'm going to find the flashy first team ready signings guy. And Lang has just pretty much inhaled both roles and has put himself forwards as one of the key figures at the club. So this idea that we should maybe have sort of a level of sympathy for him. Nobody's going to do one under Enoch. Yes, that may be a side point. But right now, Johan Lange is quite simply not doing very well. And as you say, I don't think he inspires any level of confidence whatsoever that the club know what they're doing. At least, you know, the one thing I would give Piratichi, who I think is probably equally as useless as Lange, maybe slightly less.

10:43Jack:I think so now. Yeah, exactly. I was quite a Piratichi fan for a long time. But if you look at the squad that those two idiots have put together, it's a shambles, isn't it? But this is what I'm driving at. Like Perattici at least could do the slick PR thing and look like he was in charge of things a bit. Langer just can't even do that, can he? He looks so nervous every time he's on camera or anywhere where he's remotely going to have any questions put at him. And as I say, this is a guy that is getting paid a hell of, I can only assume, getting paid a hell of a lot of money. right zero sympathy for him really none whatsoever take your money and go leave us alone i mean that goes for a whole bunch of them doesn't it just take your money take your ill-gotten gains and leave us all alone we don't need you you're only hurting you're not helping where are you at just while we're here with the this wouldn't have happened under daniel levy sort of narrative that's creeping in a bit this season?

11:45This is all, this is his legacy. I think potentially what might not have happened is that he would have got rid of Frank earlier, so we wouldn't be in this position, so we might not be in a relegation fight right now. But this was coming. This was, this has been in the post for a long, long time because he oversaw all of this, all of this sidelining of the actual football part of a football club. And what we all wanted, we were all like, he's a good businessman. He's obviously built this stadium. And all of this other stuff happens that brings him money. But we need someone who actually wants to make a success of the football teams that exist in this football club.

12:28And he either didn't want to do it, or didn't understand what you need to do it. He was always like so many steps behind, You know, we didn't even, when I think, you know, I'm going to, I'm now going to bring in the obligatory reference to the great Pochettino team that I know you always have to have every podcast.

12:47Jack:Please, yeah. Let me, let me just tap the sign. There we go. Yeah, here it is. We didn't, we had like the best team in the country, but maybe not by miles, but it was the best team in the country and we had a great manager. and they didn't buy anybody they didn't buy anybody so we had it we had a first 11 and nobody else and i now look at the other lot and i think this just it proves that we could have done it we could have done it but they didn't they didn't understand what you needed to do it and they weren't prepared to make any sacrifices they weren't prepared to take any risks they weren't prepared to say okay we've got this stadium and it costs a lot of money, but we are just going to have to gamble and just take out an extra loan, whatever.

13:33I'm not a finance person. I don't know, but they all are. So just get some extra money and buy some extra players. But they didn't want to take a risk. And when you don't take that kind of risk and you continue to play it incredibly safe and incredibly cheap, this is where we end up. So yes, we might not be in a relegation battle if Levy was still here, but we would probably end up in one anyway at some point because you can't run a football club like

13:59Jack:this i mean what's becoming increasingly more painful for me and just kind of surreal seeing harry kane score a blinder at the bernabal and just generally play brilliantly and have everybody talk about how he's going to win the ballon door this season i even saw an article the other day i think it was i think it might have been l 'equipe i think they were saying that you know england for the first time are going into a world cup with the best player in the world in their side you know in reference to harry kane this guy played for us for how long for how long and we didn't realize that we had one of the greatest players of his generation if not one of the greatest players of all time you know we did and i'm really not overstating that i'm sorry i'm really not overstating that this is we're talking about genuinely one of the greatest footballers of all time was playing for us for a decade and we didn't think hang on we've got a really good opportunity here to win a premier league to win a champions league yeah and to this point to the kind of the point about taking your eye off the footballing stuff and i look i know people think you're just being a kind of well think i'm being like some sort of blowhard that needs to get over it but we got Tyson Fury fighting at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium White Hart Lane this week and again you know in all of his preamble he's taken the opportunity to have a punt at us you know to say it's something to the degree of like you know hopefully there'll be some success in this stadium this year because Tottenham are shocking type thing we've been put in this position where great we get to host all these lovely big events and stuff but last time we did this we had a boxer to come out to North London forever playing in our ground.

15:44Jack:We've got this happening. Look, these sort of things are going to happen. I think it's a big Manchester United fan. Football's one of those tribal things where people are going to have a pop at us. However, to your point, we have put ourselves in a position where we're such an easy target for this stuff that people think it doesn't matter. But this stuff matters to me. I don't like the thought of people coming to our ground and talking about us in this way. It just, it isn't right to me. It's not right, you know? It's not. It's really, like, on a personal level for myself, I try not to be that bothered by it because I, like, I simply, I can't go through life like this all the time.

16:22It's just exhausting. But I've got, you know, I've got kids and I just, like, why should they be put in a position where they can just get, like, bantered off by any old idiot in the playground? Do you know what I mean? It's like, it's Tottenham Hotspur. Like, we should not have this happen to us. We are a great old club with an amazing history. And we just won a European trophy literally last season. You know, all of those are amazing things. And the sort of ebb and flow of success and failure is normal. But this level of, like, daily humiliation should not be happening to us. And it shouldn't be happening to...

17:02Jack:It's torture. Yeah. Yeah. And there's only so many things after a while. I don't know, I sort of got to the point, you know, we're not, we don't have to talk about Deserby or anything, because everything that is going to be said has probably been said on all of our podcasts and various platforms. But there was a point like last week, where I did just think, what is, what am I doing? What is the point of all this? This club that I love, that we all love, they make it so hard, that almost impossible. You shouldn't have to go out and feel like you've got to have like the thickest skin just to support your football team.

17:42Do you know what I mean? You should just be able to say, this is a team that I support and I support them because my dad supported them or I support them because I grew up around there or for any other crazy reason. It's just an accident of history that this is your football club. But you shouldn't have to feel like you've got to protect yourself all day, every day from nonsense just to enjoy football it's just it's it's quite mad though isn't it and again it

18:06Jack:points to just that sort of unique position we're we're in whereby we're big and relevant enough to be constantly in the spotlight but then not good enough to as you say avoid having every single thing kind of weaponized against us i mean look a lot of this is like bad faith and a lot of this you can blame on and as i always rant on about on here you can blame on those kind of like sky cartel type broadcasters who want to keep tottenham in their place people like gary neville who hold such sway over football in the uk who can just constantly go on about spurs pat them on the head you know the whole narrative so much so do i mate and this the whole narrative this season has been you know well no of course it's not a surprise tottenham are in the relegation battle they're not as big as they think they are fuck off with your disingenuous stuff man of course it's a surprise that Spurs are in this position, you know?

18:57Jack:But also, if we're not that big, why do you always talk about us? Stop it. That whole thing where he said it would be good for the Premier League if Tottenham got relegated. Don't, please don't. I'm like, okay, sorry, I won't trigger you. But can I say, I don't know if you saw, did you see? So here's the gantry, the commentary gantry was for the, I think for the Carabao Cup final was in and amongst all the City fans. And there's a video of the City fans just giving him, Gary Neville, pelters or all match to the point where he got rattled and sort of turned around all aggy telling him to like shush and i don't think he offered him out as such but he was telling him shush and they're all laughing at him being like he's rattled he's rattled that's what it has to be at tottenham it has to be a hostile place for him now he can't i'm not i'm not advocating anyone swings for him or something but i'm saying shout abuse at him like within reason you know what just make it a miserable place room these these people are too comfortable sitting there and just the thing is his words count his words matter i think i think there is a tangible return on the on for example his christian romero narrative i think there's tangible returns on that now i genuinely believe that and also vicario i think there's tangible returns on him having probably a month of just saying you can push vicario about you can get him he's weak he's this he's that where vicaria was basically just getting fouled every other week and referees weren't doing anything because yeah you know i don't know where is gary no i can't rose it winds me up so much honestly narratives have power this is the reality like we facts are important but as we see across the world in so many different cases what people feel is more important or has a greater impact than than the reality on the ground i venture to suggest well but this is that whole thing is it you know the whole sort of smug facts don't care about your feelings thing it's like no you're an idiot feelings do matter like of course they matter of course like elections and stuff are won on a heft of emotion ultimately exactly people aren't reading parties manifestos you know that's the thing nobody reads manifestos i care about this stuff and even i'm like i don't care i feel like we're i feel like we're going down a different path here so let's let's put it onto a cheery one let's west hammer playing wolves tonight and if west ham win we'll be in the bottom three for the first time in 18 years

21:34Jack:in a classroom of sodas most stay quiet then there's mr pib sweet cherry bold outburst the kind of flavor that gets attention. Bull kick of cherry. And you'll miss the pin. You don't wash your jersey during a win streak. You don't switch seats when your team's up big. And you definitely don't shave during the playoffs. When things are working, you don't change them. That's why when you drink Jägermeister, you drink it ice cold. Anything else? Well, that'd just be bad luck. Drink it cold or don't drink it at all. Jägermeister. Damn, that's cold. Drink responsibly. Jägermeister liqueur, 35 % alcohol by volume.

22:12Imported by Mast Jägermeister, US White Plains, New York.

22:1818 years. Okay, so when was that?

22:21Jack:I think it's, is it Ramos? Was that the last time we were in the bottom three? Two points for eight games? Yeah, it must be, right? It must be. Two points for eight games. So I guess my point is, do you think Spurs actually, the narrative, if we're talking about, I guess that bleeds on quite nicely from that last little chat we had. Very nice. Emotionally speaking, Spurs being in the bottom three ahead of the Sunderland game, does that add more pressure to the fixture? Or do you think we are now just in a place where it doesn't really matter what's happening outside of us. We just have to basically win every game we're in or try to, really.

22:56Jack:Do you get what I'm going at? I do. I think it does add more pressure, unfortunately. I'd like to sort of say it doesn't matter. It really does, doesn't it? It really does. But yeah, it's really, it's honestly, the thing is, it's going to happen. because while West Ham are terrible and Wolves have improved, they haven't improved that much. And it does matter. It does matter. It's going to be absolutely ghastly. Like, I've had, like, a nice few weeks off from these idiots and not having to really think about actual football. And I know tonight is going to be awful. Like, it's going to happen, and I'm going to have, like, the next two nights, like I'm going to sleep so poorly, so poorly.

23:41And I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night with my, like, like panicking, not knowing why. And then I'm going to remember why and it's going to be even worse.

23:51Jack:Oh, yeah. Spurs are back. Great. Yeah. It's. Because what does that put us? It puts us, if they win, how many points? There'll be two points ahead of us, right? As well. Let's just double check. Oh, they're at home as well. Yeah. I mean, the thing is, just whilst I look at this. So, yeah, if West Ham win, yeah, two points ahead of us. Okay. So that's quite bad. I mean, what's worth remembering, although Forest did just beat us 3-0 at home, both Forest and West Ham are terrible. They're both terrible. Leeds, who aren't clear of this yet, are also terrible. So, you know, that's just kind of what we have to try and keep in the back of the world.

24:35But the thing is, okay, here's a question for you. Like, how bad, do you have any sense, right, of how bad we are really? Do you know what I mean? Because obviously we're really bad. We've only won twice at home in the league all season. We haven't won a game in the league this year and we've got loads of injuries. But I still feel like I don't have any, and maybe it's because I just, like I don't watch enough football that's not Tottenham to have a real sense of this beyond sort of points on the board. but like how bad like is there a world where and I guess this is what I'm clinging to where Deservey comes in and is you know remember who you are you are actually all professional football players and you can actually play good football you've just been like anti-coached for the past season but then I'm like what if they're just not very good I'm yeah because there's on

25:27Jack:one hand and I get there's narrative as in they already had such a healthy lead so on and so forth but the atletico game did at least demonstrate that there's a level of ability there uh i think i do think and i know i know i've got him in my crosshairs at the moment but i do think for example we've been too comforted in telling ourselves that certain players and i'm using mickey van der ven as an example these do are much better than they are um i think there's i I think there's a serious reality check that needs to be had at Spurs. Like again, for example, and these are two players who I adore, I think are wonderful and have been two of the shining lights of our season.

26:13Jack:But Gray and Bergvall are children. There should be senior players ahead of them. Like they're just, there should be. And I think at times Gray and Bergvall have both shown their immaturity. But Gray right now is brilliant. And he's performing. He's our best player. like he's amazing isn't it so you know this this is the thing but my point is that there's a level of smarts that comes with experience with maturity be it dark arts be it just knowing how to manage an occasion and I think rather damningly for somebody who is again as I always say I always sort of stick up for him who I think people are very unfair on but it's still not been one of our best players of the past 10 years I still think when Ben Davis comes into the fold you see just a level of experience a way in which he can manage an occasion a way in which he can manage a game which so few of our players have um i feel like that was just for me thank you and i also just think we've got a lot of players who might be really really talented but maybe just don't really care that much about spurs and i'm you know i don't really want to like single certain players out there but i think there are a lot of players who the second we go down if we go down will say to their managers in no uncertain terms, I am not playing in the championship.

27:32Jack:Get me out of that club. Yeah, and let's be honest, Mickey van de Ven is first on that list. Yeah, and I'm sure there'll be, you know, other players who perhaps share a nationality with him that will be on that list as well. I don't want to think that. Yeah, but, you know. I mean, I'm sure you're right. I just don't want to think about it. I don't want to think about it. and do I think we're that bad no but also and this is kind of to you know I keep on referencing this but I'd completely forgotten about it and it's it's pretty revelatory Antonio Conte's comments that Dan Kilpatrick dug out not so long ago is that they're just there aren't bad teams in the Premier League anymore really like all right Burnley aren't particularly great but even Wolves have been smashing it for the past few weeks like yeah it's a tough league it's a tough listen everyone's rich everyone's really good Conte spoke truth Conte spoke truth people didn't want to hear it but he spoke the truth that's just a fact I know you didn't like it at the time either yeah yeah this feels like this feels like a big exercise and me not only winding myself up but you kind of just stoking it a bit like oh yep Jack's gonna lose it again I know I'd just push him that little bit he's you know he's already leaning over the edge I just need someone else to do it before I do because honestly I'm on the edge like genuinely I'd like if I I just have to keep sort of my eye either like down or like on the horizon where it's so far I can't see anything because if I look into the sort of short short and medium term future like I just I can't do it I can't do it I feel like completely suffocated by intense anxiety I mean that's as much as I talk about relegation and spurs going down as a concept I'm not really thinking about it if you what i mean like i'm kind of like that might happen but still i have that kind of roadblock somewhere that's like spurs i'm going to get relegated you know that's that's that's not going to happen i can't i just can't picture it lauren and i were talking about this on hometown glory earlier this week last week i can't remember and i said i'm not cut out for this and she said but you shouldn't be like we shouldn't be in this position and it sounds really entitled and it is maybe but why would we even though i've said this has been coming you know friend of the pod tom always says like it's been coming for years but it shouldn't be coming this shouldn't be happening this shouldn't be happening to us we don't belong here that's why we can't handle it and i don't care if that's entitled do you know what i mean i don't care i'm not bothered i don't care i know at all we shouldn't we're talking this is the thing we are as you were saying earlier we're Tottenham Hotspur.

30:11Jack:We have a proud history. That means something. This crap, this swilling about in the mud, doesn't happen to us. This isn't us. It isn't us. No. How are you feeling about us? That's what they've done to us. Well, I mean, how are you feeling about Sunday? Because, again, Sunderland aren't that good either. They're not. They've got Granit Xhaka, who, yeah, is going to love nothing more than to try and win back the favour of people that wish death upon his children. That's Arsenal fans. you know but that's that's the world we inhabit everybody wants to have their North London is red post on Instagram don't they so what do you think I don't want to I don't want to wind you up any further but I've always had a real soft spot for Granit Xhaka I know this is this is really weird I'm sorry I know like I know look I have weird he's so Arsenal as well but I don't think he is because they don't really they weren't very good when he was captain.

31:11It wasn't like he was captain of an all-conquering Arsenal side. He was quite chaotic and he would always do like mad things, get sent off against Burnley. Do you know what I mean? So he was actually quite a sort of destructive presence as I remember it.

31:26Jack:Hopefully brings that energy to this game. That'd be really good. A nice shaka record, 13 minutes. Do you know what I mean? Yeah, done. If he does that, then I'm on side of him. Hero forever. Yeah. I feel, yeah, again, it's one of those things, isn't it? Where I'm like, what? They're not very good. They've fallen, they started really strongly and they've fallen off, obviously bar their Derby victory the other week. But at the same time, I just don't, I don't know, I don't know who we are anymore. I don't know what we've got about us. I mean, I suppose this is part of the thing of having a new manager, is I also, I don't know how we'll look.

32:02I don't know how much he'll be able to do in the time that he's got. Plus, we still have so many injuries. I'm not sure. In my mind, I feel like we could potentially get something if we're really focused and fight it out. But at the same time, it could just also be a ridiculous day where we just concede from a corner and Romero gets sent off and then that's that.

32:23Jack:Is the thought of Kinski's starting in goal terrify you? Because I'll be honest, this is one thing I am oddly okay with. And I know this is very McCarthy face, but I do feel like maybe with Kinski, the bad thing has happened, the Atletico away game. Like maybe that, that kind of sort of has taken the pressure off of him in a kind of roundabout way. I mean, the thing about the Atletico game was it was so ridiculous because it was the pitch, right, by and large. At least the first goal, if not the second. and the fact that we were just hilariously unprepared as a team to deal with that pitch that had been an issue all season and we'd literally got a player from atletico that january and we didn't think to say what do they do they do anything is there anything we should be worried about and we just didn't bother we didn't bother and you know my theory about how i don't think they packed like different boots so they couldn't change their boots so it was all just a classic case of tottenham hanging out their players out to dry again and he was in the most vulnerable position so it all went to pieces so i think it's not it was a sort of generationally bad goalkeeping performance but loads of it wasn't his fault so i feel if he can remind himself of that then we'll be okay and also i mean vicario has been really bad hasn't he i mean he is just really bad to be honest like well he he masks he is he masks being really bad with good reflex saves but i kind of feel like most top goalkeepers can are capable of making really good reflex saves and yeah he's not a top he's not he's not an elite keeper is he i'm so i've got such mixed feelings about vicario because i really like him and i feel like i think he seems like a nice guy but i feel like he's fronted up quite a lot to the fans like about all of this stuff yeah and which I think has been quite good.

34:20But then he does always seem to yell at the younger players and never at the senior ones, even when they've clearly made massive mistakes, which I don't really like that attitude.

34:31Jack:But even outside of that stuff, the outward personality stuff, I don't think that really has a bearing on the fact that I just don't think he's a very good goalkeeper overall. Kind of look at him and think in most eras of Tottenham, like, okay, let me put it this way. Do I think he's better than Gazzaniga was? No, I don't. You know, I'd like, I think he's that. Oh my God, are you serious? Gazaniga was terrible. He was terrible. He's that level of keeper for me. No, he isn't. No, he isn't. I truly believe that. I truly believe. I truly believe Vicario is on that sort of level. I think he's, I think he is, I think he's a large part of why we're as bad as we are.

35:09Jack:I do. I really, I really honestly believe that. And I've kind of held back on this stuff a bit, but I think he's not good. I think he's really just bang, bang average. He's a backup goalkeeper. And we've made him our guy for two seasons. And two seasons, we've seen him consistently make loads of errors. And Spurs are hovering around the relegation places. It's, you know. I mean, I do think part of, you know, maybe I'm very persuadable on this. I think part of the thing is that we waited so long again to replace Hugo because we're terrible. at planning for anything. So that by the time Hugo left, it was so sad.

35:53And he'd been, you know, in serious decline for what, at least two seasons. So when Vicario came in, he was, just by contrast, he looked extremely competent, I suppose. But now, he never organises his defence, does he?

36:06Jack:Do you know who he reminds me entirely of in terms of like performances that we watched so many times down the years? Every time Michelle Vaughan would step into a game at Spurs, I see the same type of mistakes all the time Couldn't hate Michelle Ball And I don't hate Vicario Like you say, I think he seems like a nice guy My point here is entirely I just don't think he's very good at all He shouldn't be working here That's the thing It is where we should be Again, it's the total disconnect From where we absolutely should be As a club And where we are I guess right now of like Vicario is the Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper.

36:46Like this is the level of ambition that we have shown and that's what we've ended up with. But he shouldn't be working here. We should be better.

36:52Jack:It's been rumoured that we're going to spend £100 million on James Trafford this summer, Rosa. So, you know, great. Let's all look forward to that in the championship. I love it. I love it when the PR machine goes into completely pointless overdrive. Like they can't see, like they genuinely think we can't see what they're doing. Don't. we've had a go about them already. Lists of questions. All right, that's it. You know, we've got some good ones though. William Gardner asks, can you even remember how to celebrate when we finally win again? How incredible will it feel? I mean, there's a big presumption here that we will win again, William.

37:28Jack:So, you know, I'm just saying that. Can't, I, the last goal I would have celebrated properly was the equaliser at Anfield. Yeah, big time. But I didn't because I was really terrified. I just assumed they were going to find a reason to rule it out. Football in 2026 is great, isn't it? It's really depressing, isn't it? I mean, obviously that is what we've been brought to by VAR, but also just everything that's happened to us this season with all of the goals that have been given against us and all of the things that have happened to us in the very next game have gone the other way. Like I just feel too, I can't imagine getting to a point where I would feel comfortable celebrating.

38:14Like what would have to happen for me to think, yes, we're doing it, we're winning a game. I can really genuinely let go now. I'm so tense all the time. I don't know. I can't imagine it.

38:27Jack:Yeah. That's terrible. Can you imagine it? No, honestly, because, and I kind of feel like right now, Look, I mean, if we beat Sunderland, we score a 96th minute winner, then great. Yeah, I'm sure I will celebrate that. Don't get me wrong. But again, would you not wait to see? If it's a 40-yard screamer, then no. You know, come on. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm picturing that right now. It feels really good. But also, everything at the moment is underpinned with, great, we won, but then we have to win in the next game as well. We are completely in the thick of it here. like we're not pulling away from this barring West Ham being terrible or Forest being terrible and us maybe getting a couple of wins on the bounce but even then we're not safe we're not we're so in the mud um and as you say do you know what I mean like for all our protestations for all our we're talking about it shouldn't be us it is us that's the reality of it as much as like you know sort of you were saying to Lauren I'm not built for it I don't think the club is I really I truly don't.

39:33Jack:That stadium, the type of players that we have available to us, whether we think they're good or not, I look at like a Xavi Simms, and he was incredible in the Champions League, for example. Is he going to be good in a relegation battle? I don't know. But can I hold that against him equally? I don't know, because you're not buying Xavi Simms to save you from relegation. You're buying a player like Xavi Simms to hopefully see you qualify for the Champions League or win an FA Cup or, dare I say, try and win the Premier League, right? like that's why you buy players like that these sort of agricultural horrible clogging players that we are now in the mix with we don't have many of those whereas these clubs around us have a lot of these players with these smarts with experience of these situations and that's why i worry that's the thing so yeah until i don't think i'm going to be comfortable until the season is over and spurs have finished 17th and we are safe for the in the knowledge that we'll be in the premier League again next season and whatever nightmares to come next season will be next season.

40:34Jack:I don't think there's, I don't think I can really truly celebrate maybe until that last day of the season. Yeah, I think so. And we'll be able to stay up, you know. Being honest, you're being completely honest, you know. No, I agree. I agree. That's the thing, I just can't picture any of it. We've sort of spoken about this already, but Bruce Grove Brigade says, tying back to tonight's game, will we be drinking our bedtime cocoa in the relegation zone later? Do you think Wolves will have enough West Ham? No. Not to put too fine a point on it, but... I just, you know, yeah, no, sorry. It's just that's the way it's going, isn't it?

41:07Jack:Andy Perry of the THFC podcast says, is there any morbid curiosity about what might happen if the club actually goes down? What would it mean for the ownership, leadership and the squad profile? Have you, you know, have you started to in any way, shape or form at least fantasize about well you know archie gray will become our captain and mikey moore will be back and he's done really well at rangers and he's going to be a superstar for us again and tell will rip up the championship and so on and so forth or are you like me and just think everything about going to the championship is miserable and horrible and shouldn't happen no i've had i've i did a little while ago probably when it wasn't actually was it i don't know i feel like I've gone through so many cycles in like the last three months um I did think about it and I thought maybe it just is what needs to happen you know and we'll have loads of good young players and also we can get players from the academy who will actually care and but and that's something I think should happen anyway like whatever league we're in and however good these players are I think we have to start using more academy players because we need players who actually care about Tottenham Hotspur and understand what it means so I did think you know there's a world where we just get out of the Premier League, which I don't, some of this is obviously cope, but I don't really like, I don't like men's football at this level anymore.

42:30Like, VAR has ruined it. Like, banter has ruined it. Sports washing. It's all, like, pretty disgusting in loads of ways. So a part of me does think, just get me out of it and let me, like, enjoy the game that I was introduced to, that I love, but at the same time.

42:46Jack:I mean, don't you think it's great to sort of think, Like, I want Enoch to sell the club so I can enjoy it again. Enjoy it with who, you ask? Probably somebody that does loads of really bad things, you know? Yeah, that's the thing. There's no escape, really, is there? You tell yourself no one wants your college-era band tees. But on Depop, people are searching for exactly what you've got. You once paid a small fortune for them at merch stands. Now, a teenager who calls them vintage will offer that same small fortune back. Sell them easily on Depop. Just snap a few photos and we'll take care of the rest.

43:21Jack:Who knew your questionable music taste would be a money-making machine? Your style can make you cash. Start selling on Depop, where taste recognizes taste. K-pop Demon Hunter's Saja Boys breakfast meal and Huntrix meal have just dropped at McDonald's. They're calling this a battle for the fans. What do you say to that, Rumi? It's not a battle. So glad the Saja Boys could take breakfast and give our meal the rest of the day. It is an honor to share. No, it's our honor. It is our larger honor. No, really. Stop. You can really feel the respect in this battle. Pick a meal to pick a side. Ba-da-ba-ba-ba.

43:59Jack:Hey, participating McDonald's while supplies last. I mean, Luca Williams Barnett posted a picture on his Instagram of him running on a football pitcher of an egg timer on it. So, you know, maybe that's something to look forward to, is it? I would like to look forward to Luca Williams Barnett, though. Do you know what I mean? i would like to i would like to see all of those kids just start playing for us i think that'd be nice yeah i would like that probably more the problem is i don't know and then i watched all the champions league games this week and the quality of the football was unbelievable and i thought but that's also the football that i like i want to be there that was us do you know can i can i give you like an intrusive thought here okay there's a part of me you know when when it gets kind of like warm and these latter stages of the Champions League are on and you're watching, say, PSG against Liverpool or Atletico Madrid against Barcelona, there's that, and maybe this is me, the lowly surf, thinking we don't belong there, but there's a part of me that actually kind of prefers it when Spurs aren't there, when I can just enjoy the latter stages of the Champions League, watching all the royalty of Europe contest the top prize, without the anxiety of worrying about what the permutations are for Spurs and whether or not we'll beat this team or that team or, you know.

45:24Jack:Absolutely. I mean, I say that, but Ajax was... No, I want to be there. And honestly, going to that last game, I went to our home game against Atletico and I did really enjoy hearing the Champions League anthem and it was quite bittersweet thinking it's going to be a long old while till I hear that again. So I've always loved being in Champions League, but it did feel it was a real throwback this week. to just when we never got anywhere near it. And it was just a competition you could just enjoy just for the sake of enjoying football and watching all of these amazing players do amazing things that none of our players...

45:57Jack:It was just a completely different game. I felt that last year as well. Remember that, like, what was the incredible game? Inter... Was it Inter Barca, wasn't it? Inter Barca, the game was ridiculous. One of the greatest games of football I've ever seen, honestly. Yeah. And I didn't think that was possible anymore in the modern era kind of thing, but, you know. Yeah, just that's the thing. You can't, I mean, maybe this is a sort of nice positive thing that we can think about because God knows we really need it. But you sort of, you can't keep football down in a way, can you? It will always be the beautiful game.

46:29Like they try to like take it apart.

46:31Jack:Donald Trump hold my beer for the World Cup this summer kind of thing. I don't know. I mean, I'm sorry, but for people stressing about the World Cup in the States, I'm like, we crossed that Rubicon a long time ago, guys. Of course, of course, of course. So to bring it back to something nice, those players were amazing. It was amazing to watch this week. Michael asks, would a committee of Spurs podcasters honestly have done a better job than Enoch this year? What would be your very first move if you were the newly appointed Tottenham director? Not even like a committee of podcasters. Just like random chance would have done better than these guys.

47:08Like definitely. just like throwing a dice at any any turn and being like should we go left or right like we would definitely have done better i think it's literally statistically true as well according to

47:20Jack:some math thing i looked up the other day well did did you see a mutual friend tom foynes posted thing and i agreed with him but he was getting pelt he was he was getting thousands of pelters because he posted one of those things where you know essentially if you throw a deck of cards onto the ground or something and line them all up there's more permit like there's more possibilities of a lineup of a deck of cards than there are like stars in the known universe or something like that and tom was just like that to me just feels not true and i i got what he was saying i got entirely what he was saying but you know there we go i you know i'm just gonna say this maths is hard yeah i don't like maths i was never very good at maths at all i really wasn't my kids are already better at me better than me at maths not difficult but true sad but true so yeah i think just random chance would have done better than enic fact well i'll prove it but it's fact if you were the new spurs director what would be your first what would be your first point of business sack johan langer yeah um i would also i think at this point i would also sack vinay because as As much as I think he's done some quite good things for the women's team, I would, we don't need him.

48:34I think that business can be sorted out with other people. So, sack those two. Yeah, that's it. And then being off, I probably would sell Mickey, to be honest. I feel like you can go. You get good money from him. You can go now.

48:47Jack:Get Voskiewicz back. I think you need to clear out. I think we need to clear out. We need some assessment of some characters. But this is, you know, this is what Poch would have done. I can't. I can't. But it works. can't do it myself i can't do it to myself um graham skinner says looking at our disastrous injury record what actually needs to be addressed in the summer or is this just genuinely bad luck i guess we spoke about that at the top didn't we rosa it's a football wide problem i'm personally do feel like we probably do need to have one eye on our on our fitness team purely because we get loads of injuries but then probably every club does so i don't know i don't know i just like to jump on bandwagons hey hey why not bandwagons are comfy and you've got loads of friends on them exactly yeah i think just better just build a better squad easy easy you'll like this one and i've actually given this one some thought so i'm fortunate the few that you're getting put on the spot here adam mickey asks if the 25 26 season was turned into a drama mini series which actors are you casting in the key roles damn i can't believe i didn't have time to think about this this is this is a perfect perfect question can we go hollywood let's go hollywood i reckon i would i would i'd 100 be giving thomas frank mads mickelson i think the danish thing i know it's not but this is the you know in these things they always cut look come on prince charles is getting played by dominic west in the crown do you know what i mean like yeah they get casted on an aesthetic basis a lot of the time, don't they?

50:24No, but you're going to give, he's going to get to, you have to think about how you want this to play out, right? If you cast Mads, you are going to have sympathy for Thomas Frank. Is this what we want? This is like a villain story. We don't want this. I want some no mark.

50:37Jack:Mads was Le Chiffre in Casino Royale. He was Hannibal Lecter. You know, he's done the villain part. Have you seen how weird people got about Hannibal Lecter? No. In that TV show. As in like thirsting over him? Extremely. extremely yeah people is that rosa people or nothing it's too gory for me i don't i don't i don't need my serial killers uh for thirst and i just i can just watch mads any old time could we give could we give leave schreiber eagle tudor i feel like he's got the the frame that that's nice yeah i got i got i'm sort of feeling that because i think also um you do need to have sympathy for big eagle because while i think it was a disaster i don't really think that was his fault but do you know what a lot so many of big eagles games as well were a coin toss like i really believe we were so and i know this is a bit accidental thomas frank but we were so close to actually kind of having decent results under eagle and you know what i actually think he seemed like a good bloke i think he got a really unfair the way he was spoken to like in certain like interviews and stuff like that was despicable and i'll be dramatic about it it was despicable it was it was xenophobic bollocks he got a lot of the time um and i didn't like it and i think he actually kind of kept his cool and did really well i will never forget i will always love that interview that he did when he just like patted the guy on the shoulder and was like are we done now yeah yeah yeah thank you eagle for nothing else that's that That was a lovely moment.

52:13Jack:To get pure toxic masculinity about it. That was just, that was just alpha. That was just alpha all over. Just like this hand, this would crush you in the end times. If the bombs drop and we're in the end times, I would crush you. And that's, that's, that's the point I'm making here. Could we give? It may be coming, so. Well, yeah, that's, I mean, you know, I was thinking maybe, could we give like Antonin Kinski to a Barry Keoghan? Could we? Do you know what I mean? just that kind of i feel like the i feel that there's there's a story behind antonin kinski's eyes he's kind of pecked as this like rabbit in headlights because he's a young goalkeeper but i don't feel that i feel there's there's a deep emotional i don't know there's darkness to antonin kinski to a degree and i feel like barry keoghan would would would bring that out a bit you know yeah i could go with that as well and also just like again you need someone who can like bring the sympathy because I think he needs that and he does seem slightly weird doesn't he yeah who are we giving Daniel Levy there's got to be someone for Daniel Levy right I mean I think inevitably it'd probably be like a a Mark Strong or Billy Zane or someone like that wouldn't it they'd just feel like a kind of bald guy that's handsome yeah I'd pick Mark Strong who else have we got who else is like you know who's Christian Romero who's bringing the sort of antagonistic but like i mean like i personally really root for romero who's too old bardem have you bardem's far too old to be romero now so yeah i think you know you're going for somebody like not you want somebody sort of like jacob elordi don't you but he's not really yes who you can sort of root for but not really root for i mean look Argentinians are all racist as well anyway, so you can, you know, it doesn't matter if he's not, you know, of Spanish descent.

54:13Jack:Just give it Jacob Elordi. Yeah, I think that works. Give it Jacob Elordi. I think that works. Get him to do a cartoonish Argentinian accent as well. Why not? Give him a taste of their own medicine, you know? Yeah, why not? Who can we give Langer? Can we give Alex Skarsgård? Give a sexy young Langer? No, give it to one of the other ones, one of the lesser Skarsgårds. Oh, the one that plays It in the Stephen King's It. Yes, Bill. That's Bill, isn't it? Yeah, okay. Yeah, we'll give him Johan. Yeah, he could actually smash Johan Langer, to be fair. Yeah, I think so. I think so. De Serbi? Are we casting De Serbi yet?

54:51Yes, but it's a question of, like, are you going to go for, like, a big name who can do a lot with, like, not very much time?

54:58Jack:Who's got that kind of brooding, intense... I mean, Chalamet gets cast in everything, doesn't he? Are we having a Roberto Deserbi play by? No, can't. I do want Chalamet, but I don't want him in that. Maybe Chalamet's Archie Gray. No, Archie Gray. Chalamet is Archie. Yeah, 100%. Yeah, the golden boy. I think that's perfect casting, actually. I like this. Yeah, excellent work. Mainly by you, but I feel like I contributed. I mean, who's Van de Ven as well? Because I kind of feel like, not Jacob Lord, Who's the other guy? Austin Butler could be a... Yes. Could be a fan of N, I think. Yeah, I like that.

55:38Because I also... I mean, those two roles are sort of... I was going to say they're interchangeable. They're not really, because I do... Because I weirdly... I kind of just still really root for Romero in spite of everything, whereas I don't really care about Mickey anymore.

55:50Jack:He's our one elite player as well, let's be real. He is. You know. He is. Yeah, Austin Butler is good. Maybe somebody... Do you know what I would like, actually? I would like somebody who, like, gets the part after, like, Austin Butler's passed on it. Do you know what I mean? I don't know who that would be. I know what you mean. Just because I don't want to give him that, like, star power. I feel like I'm not really making this film a success. I understand we do need big names. Who's the other dude that is in quite a few things? He was in that movie with Sidney Sweeney not long ago, and he was in the new version of Twisters, and...

56:31These are all things I have not seen.

56:32Jack:I've got to remember his name. Is he English, American, Australian? Anyone but you. Glenn Powell. That's who I'm thinking of, Glenn Powell. Glenn, yeah. So he could kind of fill in that type of role. I feel like he'd be an Austin Butler, you know, understudy. Oh, I don't know. I think his star has risen. Do you think he's not the Dennis Quaid to his Harrison Ford kind of thing? Oh, God. What a fabulous team up. Who are we giving Viv Lewis? There's got to be someone for Viv Lewis, right? Are we giving it to, how old is Viv Lewis? I don't know, but I would guess 50s, mid to late 50s. Because all of these are like, they're such, they're like, it's like proper Roy children energy, isn't it?

57:19All of them.

57:20Jack:Viv Lewis is 64 years old, apparently. Yeah. So maybe you're just giving it to... judy dench if ever she gets everything doesn't she that's my point um or um the woman who was jerry in succession do you know i mean that's yes yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah i'm very sorry you're a great actress she was very good um i might always give it to ria ria steenkamp is it steenkamp steeholm ria steeholm yeah i'm real unreal yes she would make that work she could to make that work yeah have you watched pluribus i have i love it yeah it's so good one of the best things one of the best things i've seen in years honestly i i can't speak highly enough about the concept but the execution as well both when you've got both of those things in tandem when you've got a concept that draws you in because sometimes you know what i mean some shows are like oh i like the concept but the way they've pulled it off meh but the concept keeps me in enough lost is a prime example of that for me yeah but i feel like with pluribus it's like you've got the you've nailed the concept and the execution bang and also Vince Gilligan give it but also just the people his cast is so good so for me yeah exactly is it's that high concept but then you need to have the human like the proper stories the proper emotion and if you've cast someone like her as well who is capable of carrying like entire episodes by herself she's unreal did you watch Better Call soul as well we didn't finish it you know really i i would if i i don't know where you got to but it did it did have a bit of a slump it finishes superbly um yeah i think it may have just been a point of sleep deprivation potentially what's what's that um it does end i promise on that note there's somebody called ollie ollie do you know oh god that guy is he always dming always sliding into dms on on twitter on a daily basis what is your most fanciful silly fanfic scenario for how spurs miraculously survive this season i mean okay so go on yeah go on i'll let you go on it obviously starts at sanford bridge right yeah i'm with you like we win there convincingly for the first time in like literally 100 years like three nil we talking that we get we get yeah i like it i like the proper thumping and then we just don't look back rosinia like taking his glasses off and snapping them in half on the on the touchline kind of thing yeah and you know just looking yeah just in tears all of it i want the whole thing i want we're in tears he's in tears i want a chelsea fan running onto the pitch and starting on garnacho you know for that no enzo fernandez please yeah yeah no or an acl fight between them that'd be good yeah yeah okay yeah like a brawl between all the Chelsea players then naturally do you know what I take and look this is this is high risk high reward right Rosa I'm taking Arsenal bottling the Premier League but getting to the Champions League final against Bayern Munich and Harry Kane wins the Champions League with a hat-trick for for Bayern Munich Bayern Munich three Arsenal nil Harry Kane lifts the trophy ahead of winning the World Cup with England in summer, Ballon d 'Or.

1:00:38Jack:And we can just sit back and take that. We've won the Champions League because Harry Kane has won it. Arsenal have lost in the Champions League final. Harry Kane has done that to them. And we can go into next season and look forward to finishing 17th again. I would take it. Do you know what? There is a multiverse in which that happens. I don't know where, but I'm sure it does happen. Hopefully we're on that one. Oh, it'd be so good. It'd be so good. I can picture that I can picture that so beautifully please can I just on the outside of the fanfic stuff am I pathetic but like am I pathetic or like Harry Kane winning the Champions League is a sort of win for Spurs isn't it isn't it a bit just a bit it's a win for us like I genuinely I forget about Kane a lot of the time now because it's been so long and then like as soon as I sit down and he's playing I just like it all it's just it all comes rushing back and like I'm so overwhelmed by my love for him and my gratitude for everything he was for us and just everything that he is I like it is it would be a win for us it definitely would be I know that he does he's on his own journey he's on his own path right now but he belongs to us that's just a fact he's our boy he's our boy and that will never change and we had him and Son two of the greatest players in Premier League history playing alongside each other for you know just under a decade and won absolutely nothing with them but still we had those lovely memories and that's what counts ah rosa it's been an absolute pleasure as always what a delight thank you where can people listen to you follow you in a you know internet net sense and what have you um listen to me um talk every week about the men and also about tottenham hotspur women on hometown glory um if you we try to be very we try that we we're sort of we're trying to be um just like a gateway for you guys to start following um the women's team so if you want to um pick it up maybe not right this instance because It's not, I had a little wobble, but it's going to be great.

1:02:55It's going to be great. So yeah, follow us on Hometown Glory and give us a listen, please.

1:03:00Jack:Rosa, thank you very much. Thank you, Jack. See you soon.

From the publisher

Jack is joined by Rosa from the Hometown Glory podcast to process yet another devastating blow in this miserable season, as we react to the news that Mohammed Kudus has suffered a fresh injury setback. We discuss the club's grim update, and Tom Barclay's confirmation, that the winger may now require surgery, before turning our ire firmly towards Johan Lange. We dissect the sheer ineptitude of his January claims that Spurs did not need to panic buy because of returning players, and ask what on earth the medical department is doing behind the scenes.

The conversation then tackles the terrifying reality of tonight's clash between West Ham and Wolves. With a West Ham win set to plunge Tottenham into the relegation zone for the first time in 18 years, the pair debate whether dropping into the bottom three adds a whole new layer of psychological pressure, or if the squad is already drowning in anxiety. Looking ahead to the weekend, Rosa shares her expectations for Roberto De Zerbi's highly anticipated debut against Sunderland, and we discuss how Antonin Kinsky will cope in goal under the Italian's high-risk system as well as debating actually how good (or bad) Guglielmo Vicario is.

As always, we dedicate the second half of the show to your listener questions. We explore whether there is any morbid curiosity about what relegation would actually mean for ENIC and the squad, debate whether a committee of podcasters could genuinely run the club better, and try to remember what it actually feels like to celebrate a win. We also cast the key roles for the inevitable drama mini-series of this disastrous campaign, and craft our most fanciful, silly fanfic scenarios for survival.
