In short

A Q&A-style episode of Rule the Roost focused on Tottenham Hotspur transfer talk and fan hopes/expectations, sparked by the reported signing of West Ham’s Mohamed Kudus. They also debate stadium/club identity parallels with West Ham, coaching/staff optimism under Thomas Frank, and relive moments from Tottenham’s Europa League win.

Guests

Ricky (from Tottenham podcasts The Fighting Cock and Lads and On). He’s a long-time Spurs podcaster and fan commentator.

Key claims

  • Kudus is seen as a “different dynamic” because he can beat a man, hold up play, and create outlet/half-space dribbling—unlike Johnson’s more direct impact.
  • Concern: Kudus’ output reportedly halved at West Ham, so the signing’s risk is whether he “downed tools.”
  • West Ham’s meltdown after losing a star is tied to the move from Upton Park to the Olympic Stadium diluting identity and atmosphere; Tottenham has similar “sold dream” worries.
  • Optimism for Frank: improved coaching staff could turn last season’s dropped points (set pieces, defense, low blocks) into wins.

Notable examples

  • Comparisons to past Spurs “pinching” rivals’ stars (Carrick, Defoe, etc.).
  • Kudus highlights: bicycle kick vs Man City; long-shot/“bangers” potential.
  • Europa League memory: reliving the final whistle and the Frankfurt performance; also the parade.

1:59Hello everybody, welcome back to Rural Roost podcast. You might be saying, there's absolutely nothing to talk about. Why are podcasters still making content this summer? But I mean, look, we've apparently signed somebody and as the old saying goes, if a tree falls in the forest and there isn't a middle-aged man there to do a podcast about it, did it actually make a sound? Here to join me in filling the void, ooh, matron, is Tottenham Podcast's second biggest Ricky.

2:39It's Ricky from The Fighting Cock and Lads and On. How you doing, mate?

2:42Ricky:Yay. Yeah, I'm all good, mate. I'm all good. How are you? Yeah, I'm good. Thank you. I was a little bit sad. You know, I know you're only joking, but it made me a bit sad when you said on Twitter, what are you on about, mate? I haven't agreed to come on this. When I told people to put questions. Did you act the wrong Ricky? I did think that a little bit. And then I also did think, because, do you know what I mean? It's been like trying to find a date where I can get you on. Does this day work? Does that day work? There was that bit of me thinking, hang on, did he actually agree to this day? I can't remember.

3:20But here he is. How are you getting on, mate?

3:23Ricky:yeah all good mate yeah all good it's fucking hot today isn't it yeah it's it's baking a bit in it already 100 episodes of lads and on by the way well done i wanted to say thank you very much thank you yeah yeah 100 100 in now um if i'm honest i didn't know it would actually get to like 100 episodes you never know where these kind of podcasts will go these ventures will go but I'm glad it's still still going and it's still going strong so long may it continue mate Are you ever going to like, are you going to be one of the people that you know question time when that's on in the evenings sometimes they'll have like a random sort of person on there, you'll see like MP, MP, MP and then somebody from reality TV will be on there Yeah.

4:12Would you fancy that? Would you give it a go?

4:14Ricky:going on i would give it a go probably not question time that's well well out of my fucking depth the thing is it's quite good though if you're like the influencey person on question time all you have to do is go like well do you know what i think tories are all wankers and everyone will be like yeah we love him it'll be clipped up everywhere do you know what i mean and you're you saying that will be like used in like reactions to tweets and all yeah that's a good point just do that just there for the soundbites so you've got to do and then you've won i don't like nigel farage there you go and he's won he's won um i sort of joked at the top that there's nothing to talk about but it seems like there is stuff to talk about old orny orny has uh dropped a bomber last night that it seems to be all signed sealed and pending a medical delivered with Mahmoud Kudus from West Ham.

5:11Yeah. And they are absolutely melting down about it at West Ham. They are indeed. What are you enjoying more? The fact that we've got a player that can actually beat a man now or that we've taken West Ham's best player for a cut price?

5:27Ricky:I mean, it's funny that we seem to always go after their star players and pinch them like Carrick, Defoe. I think did we get Canute from them? Yeah. There's another, isn't there? Yeah, there is another. I can't remember who was it now. But there's been a fair few and every time it's kind of like, and it's weird as well because obviously they see us as their direct rivals and they loathe us and they would never want to do business with us like we would never want to do business with Arsenal but we do do business with them and we do take you know they're great players for them I can imagine it would be fucking galling and it would be horrible and it would be depressing and it's like I thought we'd moved on from here you know we're in this massive stadium we feel it every single week and we're not that team anymore but every so often you get a reminder that you you you are you know like rice going could us go in people will come in and pinch your best players and it is all about stature and i can't sit i you know i honestly i can't sit here and be like well that's not going to happen to top them anymore no one's going to get our bail no one's going to get modric but people's had to get turned and I would imagine if Madrid came out and said right we're after Romero he would probably go you know I mean and later down the line if they came in and said we want Van De Ven he would probably go so it's just knowing about where you are in the food chain really and just what happens but the and also the i am kind of like i wouldn't say i'm enjoying their meltdown i don't really give a shit to be honest with you i don't care about them no but i think there there's this real kind of like fine line where you know where they are kind of uh they're doggy paddling just above the surface and anytime that something happens bad result and they dunk under that's when the kind of vitriol comes out and it all for me anyway it feels like it leads back to moving to that stadium because that stadium has killed a massive part of that club from Upton Park where it was a you know a smaller capacity stadium but it was on top no one wanted to go there it's fucking horrible all that history involved with the club the community around it everyone that supported it it was like that proper east end club that no one wanted to go to and they had you know proud people they had some you know respect about them and they uh they earned and have respect of other clubs but with the you know the olympic stadium and how big it is and how far people are away from being on the pitch and all the other stuff that comes in modern football.

8:51Ricky:It's diluted hugely what they are, what they were. And it's that realisation of, fuck. If we sold our soul to get to the promised land of we've got loads of money, we can slap down on any player. Tottenham aren't going to come in and pinch our players. And then that's not actually the realisation of it. It's like, fuck, where do we go now? What do we do? What do we believe in? And I think it has parallels with Tottenham. As in, we move to this glorious new stadium, which we all love. It's an amazing stadium. but with you know the the the wall of noise and it's not really it's not really this behemoth that we thought we were going to go to and the stadium was going to be raucous and everyone is going to dread going there it's it's not like that at all um you know there are lots of great people out there that are trying to improve the atmosphere and i totally get behind them and they're doing amazing work and I you know long may they continue and we get to where we think we could get the stadium then on top of that you've got concerts NFL go-karting you know the stadium experience all of these things that we were told were gonna give us that money so that we can go and spend a hundred million on rice or whatever but at the moment and we've it's kind of soured with we finished 17th last season and it feels like we don't have any money we don't have that cash flow to go out you know psr because of our revenue we've got loads of money that we could potentially spend but there is no actual money to spend if you know what i mean so well we've been sold this dream and we're paying one of if not the most expensive season ticket prices in europe i remember um i couldn't go to a game last season what game was it was it the season before i can't remember what game it was i think it was a man city game anyway and my my season ticket seat it was something like 87 pounds it's mad 87 pounds for a football game that is fucking insane and people are paying it and that's a fairly average price as well in terms of like for for for going to a tottenham game because i know they will say there's a band of tickets for 40 pounds 45 it's a time it's like a strip of seats right at the very top of the stadium that the average the average price that i pay now when i go to spurs is 60 the upper end of 60 pounds to about 80 quid and i'm not sitting in like the the flash seats or anything like that yeah yeah yeah um i think the one thing that we've got though over them still is that although it is the new stadium it is the bells and whistles new shiny spaceship thing we're still in the same place we've still got the same match day yeah we've got yeah walk up seven sisters we've got the pubs all the memories in that way that we've had ever since we were growing up for west ham like have you ever have you ever been to the olympic stadium like for a west ham game or not just to the no no i've driven past it quite a few times but i've never actually been in the stadium it's basically like an industrial park and outside of it there's a west field so just imagine that on a match day where we where are we going to get the beers in lads right chiquitos is opening in westfield oh nice yeah we'll get some enchiladas while we're there

12:55the the icf or or piling into do you know i mean into an ad or whatever like it's just i don't know it's very it's very very sanitized i've been watching um do you ever watch anything by adam curtis rick no someone did actually recommend to me the other day shifting they said adam curtis has got a fair few of his documentaries

13:24Ricky:available on youtube and then sent me the links so i do have them in the bank to watch loads are on iplayer as well mate like oh are they oh okay loads of it's all on iplayer um but his whole style is i'm sure you sort of know it by now but for anyone that doesn't like adam curtis's whole thing is he doesn't really go out and film new stuff he doesn't make documentaries in the sort of conventional sense he doesn't say oh i want to investigate tax fraud so what i'm going to do is find a load of different subjects and speak to them and do talking heads and get some b-roll in between what he will do is write down basically a script he will write down a sort of theory that he wants to tell as a story.

14:06And then he just basically scuttles off down to the BBC archives and digs out all these random bits of cutting room footage that, you know, it would be like a 1972 filming of Panorama, but he's got all the bits that didn't make it into the final cut and stuff. So random bits where a cameraman's talking to a bloke and it's in the 1970s and it helps tell all these stories. but he's sort of on that he's talking one of his consistent themes is that basically like in the 1980s Margaret Thatcher and neoliberalism and all that destroyed the sense of the collective it destroyed the sense of you know they really emboldened the individual they they realized that we don't actually build towards well they didn't realize they wanted to they felt that and they wanted to put out the idea there that we don't build towards collective goals that we're all inherently motivated by self-interest and so she wanted to really embolden that so i guess the point i'm trying to drive to here is that uh football to me it's like the last bastion of that it's the last bastion of yeah being together you know i mean i think things like you know socialist movements are starting to grow amongst like younger people and all that sort of thing so So maybe, you know, let's wait and see till they hit their mid-30s and they pay mortgages and stuff.

15:32Well, actually, they probably won't have mortgages in their mid-30s, to be fair to them. But still, I think football's the last bastion, and you can't help but feel that that is something that's under attack, is it? But this has gone to quite a deep place, Ricky. That's all right. It's all right. It's what naturally happens. I mean, are you happy about Mohamed Koudis? Are you excited about him as a signing?

15:58Ricky:Yeah, I am. I am really excited. I think that we... I feel like that when we signed Johnson, Johnson was something kind of like a different dynamic in our armory to when we come up against different opposition or like an impact sub or whatever it might be where he can affect a game. And I've said this before, but it sounds really weird that when Johnson plays, even though he's scored loads and assisted and, you know, he makes himself available. And it's, but apart from that, like, not what does he do, but we all kind of want him to beat his man and he's never going to do that. He's not that type of player.

16:49Ricky:so on the left side where you've got son who naturally would beat his player but he's kind of more gone into his shell a bit now he's he feels like he's lost a bit of confidence maybe lost a bit of pace tell we're still finding his feet more as a young lad but that left hand side feels like we have more than enough options to have a variation to what we need to do but on the right hand side you've got Johnson you've got Kulisevsky but even he said he likes to play more of a 10 role more of a free role and he he doesn't like to go out on the wing because there isn't he can't affect a game as much there and I think as well where he was stuck out the wing he would naturally just drift in anyway so it would make us more narrow but then with Kudus it's a player that that will drive down that wing, that will want to always look to beat the fullback, that has that kind of strength to hold off defenders, where we're kind of backs against the wall.

18:01Ricky:We need an outlet. It goes to a player. It goes to Son. It goes to Johnson. And then with the slightest kind of nudge in their back, they've lost the ball and the attack's back on us again. And we need players that can hold up the ball, can wait until we've moved up the pitch, kind of drawn the lines there and then start moving the ball forward again. And he feels like as well that he isn't just this kind of a one, you know, one direction play, given the ball he runs in a straight line. He's got that trickery to play between the lines and as people say, the half spaces. so it's he does bring something different and i feel like where we had bought odabare to kind of do that on the left side we've not really seen him because he's been injured and he's still finding his feet and he's a young lad so i feel like kudos with his premier premier league experience as well as well as seeing what he can do he definitely brings a a hugely different dynamic to the way that we want to play.

19:11Ricky:And then we now have a backup option with Johnson in how we want to change our play, or whether it's mid-game or whether it's kind of whoever starts. It will be different. So I really do like the signing. What about you? Yeah, I mean, I think it's good. I'm sort of in the zone of being like, in Frank, we trust. Just if that's what he wants, if that's the sort of player he wants, then let's do it. I did think Kudus was brilliant. I saw him like, you know, the first sort of year. How many years have you been at West Ham now? Three, maybe? Was that his third season there? Might just be two. Yeah, I think it's his second season.

19:58Yeah, I think his first season he looked unbelievable. And I sort of thought, God, they've signed a real gem there. I do have slight concerns about how much is, because it seemed to be, I think, I can't remember which pod it was that made the point that basically his output last season halved, basically. And I know West Ham had their troubles. I know they've been a bit of a shit show, haven't they? But I do often have those, I don't know. Spurs have been terrible before, and we've had our best players, Kane, Bale, those sorts. step up and still continue to try and drive us through. I mean, look at even like Richie, when Everton were in the mud, Richie stepped up and was like pulling them out of it bit by bit.

20:46It's always a bit of a, let's just say at least an amber flag for me when it feels like a player sort of down tools a little bit. I think that's maybe, I'm not saying this out, I'm not saying this like chest out, like writing him off or anything like that. All I'm saying is I have a slight nagging concern about that with Koulos that's that's one thing that like I guess like dulls the shine of the whole thing just a little bit for me um because you know we know we know how things can go at Spurs we know that we know that it's not always it's not always plain sailing is it and more often than not we need kind of our best players our big players to be able to step up and sort of make a difference.

21:32And I just hope that perhaps, you know, the new surroundings, the ground, the fact we've just won the Europa League, the fact we're going to be in the Champions League will help inspire him to be, to give it his all, to really, you know what I mean, to take this step up to the club that we are. I think I'm probably also just a bit salty that we didn't get Eze in as well, because I've always really liked Eze, but I know he's a divisive, not really divisive I think that's a bit dramatic but I think people are quite split on him aren't they um I don't know I think people would you know if as it was gettable then I feel like we

22:13Ricky:probably would have had a good go at it and people would have been happy that we got him but I think that they've probably looked at it and thought for the money we're outlaying it's got to be one or the other really it can't be both and where do we need backup most and ed essay doesn't play there on that right hand side so i think they've gone for kudus instead uh you never know what can happen but i think what i would say is i don't know much about his time at iax but and maybe that's something to look into whether he down tools there or not but I might be looking at this with rose tinted glasses and I probably am but it's like you're coming to Tottenham it's a it's a different it's a different ball game like we're going to be in the Champions League we've just won the Europa it's there's a lot more expectancy on you and I just think with the players around you that you naturally will raise your game and you are going to be competing against people that can can take your spot so I don't think it gives you the option to be kind of flouncing off and being like oh if no one else is going to put the effort in then I won't so I just think he'll be I do think he'll be more focused like his first season for West Am he was great at Ajax he was great and at any club any player can be can lose focus can you know with West Ham I don't know how they got on in their cups and in the league position terrible so you get to a point it's like well what have I got to play for I'm not going to win the golden boot I'm not going to win most assists the club aren't you know in a relegation fight so I don't have to plant my skin so there isn't that motivation and yeah you're a professional a footballer yeah you get paid loads of money yeah all the other stuff that comes with it but they're humans at the end of the day and if there isn't that thing to truly motivate you or drive you forward then you probably are going to be at 70 and i think at tottenham at least for us for two seasons we'll see a totally transformed player compared to what he was like especially at the back end of last season for West Ham.

24:48Liamo at natural underscore finish has written in saying, after five minutes of a compilation on YouTube, I believe that Kudus is basically the second coming of Dembele. Thoughts. And I mean, you've sort of spoken about the fact, you know, he can retain possession. I don't, you know, I think there's probably similarities in that, in the ball retention, in the dribbling. He seems a lot more explosive than Dembele ever was. And I know a lot of people now are starting to, I guess because he played in that Baller League thing, Dembele played in the Baller League. So you've got all these sort of young 'uns now who probably weren't Spurs fans all saying like, oh, Mr.

25:32Dembele was actually quality, wasn't he? He was well good.

25:35Ricky:Yeah, yeah. But I think one thing I always criticised Dembele about back in the day, and he was a fantastic player, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that. but his sort of his product in the final third wasn't always the best, I didn't think. If he had that, he would have been literally one of the best players on the face of the planet. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, I agree. But it does feel like Kudus. Because I know what you're saying. When I've watched a few Kudus compilations now since we signed him, he does hold onto the ball beautifully. He's got that good ability to get his body in between like the opposition player and the ball and manage to just get out of spaces that you wouldn't expect him to almost like Kulisevsky does actually there's there's sort of a bit of similarity there and I've often likened Kulisevsky sometimes to Mr Dembele the way I was gonna I was gonna say exactly the same thing with uh same with Kulisevsky they are you know they're strong lads and when the ball goes up that they they manage to hold off defenders and have that bit of space, wait for the ball to drop, control it, and they can still hold off defenders.

26:45Ricky:And they have enough in their skill set that they're able to have that one second bit of space or have that few seconds where they're holding onto the ball and they're looking up and they're able to lay it off. But with players where we don't have that, and we have had a lot of that last season, where we're asking players to do that naturally they can't do that and then the ball kind of the match turns into like a basketball match almost like i just think i think ultimately with kudus there's enough there to be excited about there's enough there to to say that he has a skill set that is complementary of the players around him um that he fits into the sort of system that we've started to establish under Ange Postacoglu and I imagine Thomas Frank probably won't deviate too much from but I also sort of think with Kudus you know there maybe is the potential there that he can operate in in a in a few different ways that he can maybe play out wide and if required he can perhaps sometimes play through the middle I don't know like I don't know we'll ask of him I'm also looking forward to that bit of that bit of stardust do you know what I mean like when a player gets on the ball and I stand up I'm like what's he going to do go on go on son be the man I haven't really seen that or felt that in a while do you know what I mean from a player what's the word functional so i'm looking forward to someone kind of breaking the walls down on that a bit and i mean i know like frank is very organized teams are well run everyone knows what they're supposed to do i think um flav did a pod with a a brentford fan and he was saying don't expect to see lots of shots from outside the box because the you know the xg all of that you know you need to get into spaces where you are actually going to kind of take take the shot where you are most likely to score but could us he fucking can bang them from outside the box and no matter how many times you tell a player don't bang it outside the box if they rip one and it fucking flies in they'll turn around and be like, I told you.

29:16Ricky:I quite like that. I quite like the, we don't quite know what he's going to do. Do you see his bicycle kick against City? Yes. It's nice. Stuff like that. I was watching a goal compilation from him today. And a lot of it is that kind of explosiveness where you don't really think he's going to score from that position. And he does or he cuts back in uh curls it in so it's like i don't know man i'm just looking forward to a bit of excitement back in a player that will take people on and that will take those long shots that will you know that is more brave on the ball so i'm excited right you just we just we just want to be excited don't we ricky like we're saying you know you know you've paid enough money to go in that you've paid your hard-earned money yeah to go and sit and watch that football and i expect bangers entertain me you bastards i don't i don't want xg i want it i want bangers that's all i want bombing it down the wing and getting it in the mixer yeah where have all the bangers gone no one has a shot outside the box anymore no one knows what they are screamers what's that like most famous match remember that match of the day goal a month it's like december 2006 or something like that yeah yeah yeah one when you're like oh my days every single goal is like ping ping yeah yeah yeah that's what we need back get that back yeah so i'm looking forward to uh yeah could us doing just something a bit a bit different to what we have so i'm excited we got a question over on uh on blue sky from Seamus who says is at bobbly pro and he says how long can Ricky make it through a Thomas Frank video on Spurs YouTube before he starts scrolling on his phone do I sense do I sense a bit of uh do I sense a bit of like Frank Frank skepticism there from Seamus I think I do yeah maybe maybe it might be um might not be skepticism but it might be if you're talking about Ange and you're talking about Frank who is the most entertaining out of the both who's going to hold that room who is the better communicator who is the one that has that aura do you know what I mean if you're scrolling and Sky Sports News the yellow ticker tape and it's ang and you're like fuck what's he gonna say what's he gonna do what um what sound bites has he got for us you know no one's scrolling they're all there if it's frank you'll be like it's it's not good it's just not ang is it so you kind of like he's not gonna say anything highly inflammatory he's not gonna say anything that is groundbreaking or that is gonna give tactics away he's going to be calm he's going to be measured he's going to be professional so maybe that might be what he's referring to I don't know in saying that remember there was that one clip that was doing around for ages after I did Brentford beat Man City or somebody like that and there was Frank's post-game kind of chat with all the lads and it was pretty it was pretty good It wasn't miles apart from the sort of thing you see Ange delivering.

32:47Really?

32:48Ricky:I can't quite remember. But I think, although he's not as, what's the word I'm looking for? He's not as maybe a character as Ange, but the stuff I've seen, he does speak really well. I just keep thinking about Flav's, hello!

33:17just gets me every time going from going from i think it was after the it was after the the europa league final speech gal was like we come from that to hello

33:30Ricky:i mean there is there is that yeah but you know i've seen his um you know behind the scenes of him at Brentford and him talking to all the the staff the players the coaches the presenter and he he seems such a lovely guy seems like a nice guy seems very you know intelligent measured it's what you want really isn't it yeah I I I really quite like him um I've got to say I've got I've got I've got to take this moment Rick and I know there's a shared appreciation there I've got to say again and I know this is probably some sort of uh what is it nepotism is it or is it is it only nepotism when it's your own family isn't it whatever I don't know I know he's my mate but I've got to say Hainsey again like you know just in my little walk and talk with Frankie boy I was just like I don't know Ben Ben he's like he's becoming a bit of a force of nature he's like he's in that space the sort of the the chat he manages to get out of the players and the staff and like for example i think he i think langer seems to really like ben i think langer seems quite relaxed and actually we get who doesn't know yeah and it's been in the room just lights up doesn't he he's caramel yeah he is come on like you've only just met the guy and You're telling me your deepest, darkest secrets.

34:56Ricky:He just gets it out of you. I've got the poison out this morning, Ben. He didn't need to tell me that, Rick. You just feel safe with him. I'll tell you anything. He's a good man. The thing is that's the most recent thing I've seen is Ben talking to Langer and Frank at the ground. and I've sort of, I've been saving this chat mainly for like, for behind the paywall, but one thing I will say, and I'm going to say, I'm going to say it, right? Go on, go on. I'm going to be brave. I just, I get a slight whiff of Pochettino about Frank. The whole thing, like, I think like, I was talking to a lad called Ben last night on the Patreon series where we're sort of revisiting old games and we were talking about the old Tottenham 5-3 against Chelsea on that New Year's Day when it suddenly looked like it's happening.

35:57Like, actually, this core of young players is great and Pochettino's good and he's really, he's sort of done away with a lot of the old guard. He's trusting the youth and it's going on. We were sort of looking at the constituent parts of that old Pochettino team, the first sort of version of it, Benteleb, Mason, Townsend, all that sort of thing. and you look at this Spurs team and you sort of think the conditions are actually there we've been kind of one of the things about this summer I've not been sort of losing my ass about like our activity in the transfer I obviously want us to sign a few players and it's good that we've got Kudus in and we're continuing to be linked with Wissa as well now which is encouraging because I thought Kudus would be it for the summer but there's still some noise around Wissa as well So if we are going out and sort of adding to this team, good.

36:49I'm glad that we're doing that. But when I do look at the team, I think, look, I know that last year's kind of, our domestic form was terrible. It was abysmal. It's the worst I've ever seen Spurs in the Premier League, really. But we won a Europa League. And when you actually go through the team, perhaps the squad isn't got enough quality all throughout it, but the first 11 at least is good it's decent and the most exciting thing about it for me is it's really young like there's so many young players there that I think when when you've got a manager like this Frank who seems to know exactly exactly what he wants he's got his like constant of the coaching staff that he always works with around him as well much in the same way that Pochettino had there's just there's something about that that fills me with a level of optimism that I don't think I've had for any of the previous for Conte for Mourinho I think Ange was starting to get there because I liked what he was about and I liked like his outlook his his focus on football but I don't think I ever had full confidence that we were going to be like brilliant under him I was hopeful that we were and I was I knew that we would probably enjoy it but with frank i don't know it just i'm i'm just really i mean i say quietly confident i'm blabbing on about it on here now so perhaps not so quietly confident that we might actually be not just kind of solid we might actually be really good um yeah i don't

38:26Ricky:know yeah i i mean i i've spoken about this before but like obviously like much like everyone else i would like to see Tottenham sign players that's it that's the fun part of the summer isn't it and it's really hard when you look across the road and the Gooners are linked to Jokrez um is it Norgard as well and uh Maduweke all these players and they're going to be costing a lot of money and you're like well we're not doing anything then you look down the other side of the road and Chelsea have fucking got their wallet out and spending bills and you're like fuck like united you know everyone's spending but us and you're like what are we doing like we're getting left behind this is mad but then on the other side i kind of try and take a you know a more measured approach and going back to hainsey and the the interview i thought it was so good because like it gave langer and frank the chance to say these are the guys we've got and these are the specific roles that they're going to be doing and for me it just gave whether it works out not just gave me that reassurance to say this guy is going to be our attacking coach this guy is going to be our defensive coach this person goalkeeper that one purely performance how people are got injury this one is going to be um individual development and stuff now with those and i think there's someone with specializes in set pieces as well and i don't want to do andrew disservice but it just feels like the games that we lost last season or games that we drew was by like a single goal or I felt like we were in the game and it just kind of got away from us, switched off in these moments.

40:25Ricky:Now with that coaching staff, and if you improve those individual parts of our game and those players, you win points with set pieces. You win points by if there's a low block and we've been focusing on our attack and how we build play and how we're passing, we're going to win points there and defensively fully focused on like the defensive coach and maybe we're more pragmatic and poro and udogi aren't inverting and getting forward as fast as they possibly can that we're going to win points there and if frank does go to this double pivot There's going to be more protection for the centre-backs.

41:12Ricky:So with all those parts of the coaching, with all the player development, with the new way that we're playing, which is going to be, it's still going to be attacking but not as gung-ho, those points that we're going to be picking up will rack up. So I'm quite confident that the points that we lost last season we'll gain those back just by the appointment of the backroom staff now i think in the i'm just going to call it the ben haynes interview because that's what it was frank was saying that the players were doing tests on saturday there was quite rigorous tests and they were running i think it was how fast they could run a kilometer i think it was i think had to run a kilometer in under three minutes something like that yeah so they were doing like a rigorous test but then he was saying that this is the first training session they've had out on the grass the first training session they've had out on the grass right so if you've got a manager that's come in and just put his coaching staff there and he's only just seen the team train on the grass how on earth does he know what players are capable of what he wants out of his team how he's going to set up in his mind he's probably done all the variations and that player can go there and all that lot but has he spoken to Romero where's where you know the headspace in Romero is he going to be start you know all these different things right that could be going on we can't then go we don't know about this part here and what's going on and figured that bit out because I've just come into the club can I have 65 million and go and buy this player here because it doesn't it doesn't really make sense until you know you can deduce by watching analysis videos of last season by having kind of whispers and whatsapp messages and how's it going and all that lot but not until you're in the thick of it with the players you've been there for you know a good couple of weeks at least talking to the players and having that real kind of connection and finding out what's going on with them where they where do they want to play what's their position you know great did you like it a center back should we be looking for another center back do you want to progress your career what about right back do you want to go there like all these conversations with these different players probably haven't happened and until that happens and then they figure out actually i really like basuma but i just don't think he fits with this system let's sell him and then we'll get someone else whatever it might be so i'm calm at the moment with our transfers um yeah sure obviously i would like us to be more bullish in the transfer market and go out and buy someone but i want to do it for the sake of doing it do you know what i mean like i want to you know there has to be intent there there has to be uh a strategy as to say right we're really light here this is what we're gonna do and this is why this player fits and we can get him for this price and all of that stuff instead of just going yeah we spent 80 million on a player because of his I don't know goal scoring prowess but we might already have that in the team and we don't need that it's kind of like with um I don't know Eze for example we've we've got a lot of midfielders and we've got a lot of bodies there maybe it's better that we spend that money on a backup left back why do you hate Eze so much Rikki like you see i'm sick it's agenda you've got i'm sick of it yeah you said you said on i think it's fighting cock the other day you're like i don't want to hear it i don't want to hear if anyone doesn't agree on my well i'm telling you mate i'm telling you i'm i'm sick of your anti-ese agenda and no i love ese and i like him really like him as a person he seems like a really sweet guy down to earth like you know one of those players that you would really like wholesome player you know what though if he goes if he goes to arsenal that all goes out he's a rat yeah he's not he's not a nice person yeah gum that's what he is he signs for all that you know when he smiled at the the woman that made a joke about signing for spurs when he signed her autograph and stuff means nothing yeah exactly he's he's he's lower than the worst type of criminal if he goes like i do i do really like him but again i don't know how we're going to be setting up and he is like um where were you where do you say he plays like what what's his his main role like is it where madison plays is it the 10 is it like what like what scoring bangers that's his main role and i want to see bangers being back to that yeah but equally i I want to see us, if we are dropping 50, 60 mil, I want it to be something that is going to bring where we're lacking in the team.

46:42I've got a good one here for you, Rick. And you'll need to explain the backstory a little bit for anybody that doesn't understand this in-joke.

46:50Ricky:Brilliant. Over on Blue Sky, T Shrewsbury Spur has said, who's Ricky going to invite round for a spag bowl next? oh yes that's a good so uh years ago whenever kane would post on either twitter or instagram i would reply you'd be straight in there yeah straight in there yeah straight in there and it'd be a reply like an over familiar reply like in like we were mates we knew each other there was a history between us like we'd met up at a barbecue or something like that so i'd be really casual about in how i spoke to him and i'd call him h instead of like harry or kane or whatever and with that i would always ask him when he's coming around for a spaghetti bolognese because that is my i would say that's probably my signature dish and i would always say when you come around for a spag bowl and then i would sprinkle it with do you want to do you want to run the garlic chip out of back or should we just go with garlic bread you know and just kind of do that and then i'll sign it off with like cheers ricky or something like that so it reads kind of like a whatsapp message or a text message between just us two and every single time he tweeted or posted on Instagram, I would reply something along those lines.

48:20Ricky:And I did it for like two years in the hope that he would never ever reply because I don't think he ever replies to anyone. But there has to be a time where he's opened his phone and he's gone to check his own tweet or Instagram that's gone out. Same kid, he keeps messaging about Spag Bowl. Charlie!

48:49Ricky:he like i just it just made me laugh that just one one has to have landed that he's read it everyone's saying really nice things about him and then nestled amongst that is me being over familiar asking him if he wants to come for a spag bow around my house um so that was the kind of in joke of me doing that and it's a shame that he's gone like a no long and continue i'd even throw delhi and dyer in there as well just to kind of you know uh spice it up a bit but who would i invite round for a spag bowl at the moment i would probably go for who would like it definitely wouldn't be the dogey or vicario because i don't want them this is british spagball all right you don't want it all this isn't spagball do you know i mean like that's a mardi yeah yeah you're in my house mate you don't need to be rude about it yeah yeah and it's like yeah exactly no oh you haven't you've over garlic this you've done this or whatever i don't need that right don't need i don't care how your nonna used to do it all right do you know what I mean?

50:03this is how it happens in these walls alright?

50:07Ricky:do you know what? I've just thought who it would be who? it's got to be Madders because when he goes to Marbella or whatever and he's out for dinner don't tell me at one stage he will get double egg and chips yeah he's the best of British and if I serve him up a British bag bowl he'll know about it do you know what I mean? He'd have a spag bol and chips, do you know what I mean? Yeah. He doesn't need to worry about it because he's running like 15 ,000 miles a day or whatever, but spag bol and chips, he'd love it. One of the best, I don't know why I'm saying this, but one of the best lasagnas I've ever had was in Spain, and I got lasagna and chips.

50:52Ricky:And it was, honestly, I think about it once a week, how good it was. Fucking insane. love it love it um i also feel like perhaps i would be like proper appreciative and really like oh lovely he'd be really polite and like friendly to the family and all that sort of stuff is it he'd bring gifts i think perhaps yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah bring you like a new rolex you fucking hell yeah i'm sorry if it's not enough i'm sorry if it's not enough ricky yeah he'd be super polite like before i've even opened the door he's already got his trainers off outside. Didn't even come into the hallway.

51:32Ricky:He's done it already. Flowers for the wife and, you know, all of that. Like, yeah. Oh, he's a lovely lad, isn't he? Yeah, I love it. Although, do you see Sonny give him a bollocking in the Guard of Honor? That's what I was at all. He was, he was, he was being, he's been a bit naughty. He was, when they were supposed to be applauding Man United walking through the Guard of Honor all dejected. Perhaps I was just there sort of pissing him out. Do you know what I mean? Oh, was he? No, I'm not seeing that. Fucking hell. Yeah, nice little, nice. I hadn't seen, for example, like until last night, I hadn't seen the fact that Gareth Bale came down and was like getting photos with a few of the lads and stuff on the pitch after the year.

52:11Yeah, I have seen Davies and Bale have a photo.

52:17Ricky:Yeah, so I probably didn't make that connection actually. So I haven't, apart from that photo, no. I haven't watched the game back in its entirety. I need to do that still. and you know BT I've never done that I've never watched games back I don't want to watch it back for you know how well we played or you know whether United deserved whatever I don't give a shit about that I'm more interested in the atmosphere and you know when you can feel the nervous tension but I already know how this movie ends so I don't need to feel that dread in my stomach that I was feeling when you know watching it I tell a lie I have I remember in COVID they showed one year on from Tottenham Ajax BT showed it again they they broadcast it on the day I watched that again because it was COVID though wasn't it like we're all sitting around doing nothing so um it's a good question we were we were blowing smoke up his ass earlier good question here from ben haynes who uh he says on this because what haynes is actually is he oh hello let's go he's in with one he said uh if you could relive one single 10 minute window from the europa league win and feel it as intensely as you did the first time around what would it be so for example would it be the full-time whistle or brennan's goal the trophy lifts, the parades, first 10 minutes of Bodo at home, whatever you want.

53:54Ricky:That's a good one. That is a really good one. I think that it's going to be an obvious answer, and it will be the final whistle, because in that stadium, it felt like a hoodoo had been lifted. Do you know what I mean? There was everyone on that final whistle had lost their mind because they knew it was over. And, you know, the war was done. The mental war of being these trophy dodgers, winning a major European, you'll never beat United. It's United. it's all these things swirling around your head going into it and then that roar within the stadium of unbridled joy seeing the players collapsing and all of that stuff being there with my dad and just hugging each other screaming in each other's ear all of that and what followed for 10 minutes after it would be that but the other thing that even though it wasn't as what's the word i'm looking for you know it it wasn't as glory filled as you know winning the trophy the performance of at frankfurt yeah it was mad when we were properly professional that night properly professional and you know this face melting atmosphere from frankfurt and how everyone was just playing us down and that it was just like it was what's the point in even playing that they're just going to beat you they're going to take you out they're going to do this that and the other and how we rode it out and how we stayed together as a team and got through and winning out there do you know what i mean just it was it was a um that was for me that was a hugely proud moment to be a tottenham fan and that was before we'd even got to the final so but i will say the it's got to be the final whistle because you know it doesn't matter where you were at that point whether you're in the stadium whether you're at a social whether you're at a pub you're in america australia wherever the fuck you were we all felt that single feeling together of that karma that vibration that whatever it was in unison all of us as tottenham fans and so it's just just one of those moments in time that i would love to relive over and over and over.

56:52The cloud has lifted, wasn't it? That's what it was. It's still the parade for me. The parade was...

56:59Ricky:Oh, fuck. I forgot about the parade. But yeah, the parade was... Something else. It was insane, weren't it? It was actually, honestly, it was like a dream. It genuinely was. The sort of stuff I've imagined for years what it would be like to be at one of those and just haven't been there. I was like, yes, mate. Yes. Yeah. There's another little supplementary question onto this Sir Hainsey as well. He says, also, what do you think the latest time you could arrive at Seven Sisters and still make it into the stadium for a 3pm kickoff without stopping for a Turkish? Oh, that's a good question. So, you know, when I've been a bit fitter in the park, I go in peaks and troughs.

57:43My fitness comes in peaks and troughs. But I got into a good little habit a few years ago of sort of running quite regularly and stuff like that. and I went to I can't remember what game it was but Spurs game and I found myself in this sort of position where I had maybe 20 minutes or so till kickoff and I thought that's all right I'm doing quite a bit of running at the moment you forget that when you're doing running you've got proper shoes on and shorts and a light t-shirt when you're there in like a jumper and jeans and shoes that you can't run in it's not happening really I found you know my trousers my trousers are falling down my my t-shirts all coming out of my do you know what i mean here and there my gut's swinging about i'm like no i'm not sweating you know i mean i'm like this isn't like this isn't the same as like nipping on onto a treadmill before i start work or whatever but you know what I mean?

58:38Ricky:I would probably go about 2.30. 2.30 or 2.20. 2.30. I'm going with 2.30. And I would walk down, a brisk walk down Seven Sisters because I don't run. I don't run for anyone or anything. If the bus is arriving and I need to run, I'll miss the bus. If the train is pulling up and I need to run, the train's going. What if King Kong attacked Wolverton? Wouldn't you? Would you run? No, I'd stay and fight because I'm overly protective of Wolverton. Fucking have it. Come on. Come on, you big monkey. But yeah, I think within, it's a 25-minute walk from Seven Sisters to the stadium. And if I brisk walked it, I would shave a few minutes off that.

59:38Ricky:So I reckon I could get in and out of the stadium and to my seat within 10 minutes, I'd say. So yeah, that's my answer, 30 minutes. Yeah, that's about right. That's about right. Matt Chipola at M underscore SIP33 says, if you could add one player from the 2000s era, who would it be? Ledley King, hands down. I'll say that up front. What, to this team? Yeah, I guess so, yeah.

1:00:13Ricky:I'm probably going to say Bale. Is he? I suppose he, yeah, he is, isn't he? He's still 2000. Yeah, he's 2000. I'm just trying to work out. When did he come to the fore, though? What was Inter Milan? 2010. It's like, ooh. Yeah. Yeah. So, mate, you're on treading a fine line there, I reckon. Oh, what? So what? It's 2000 to 2010. Is that the era? I'm guessing. I'm guessing that's what we call the 2000s, isn't it? Right. Okay.

1:00:51Fuck.

1:00:51Ricky:I don't know, actually. It's Ledley, mate. It's got to be. You're not having Ledley in there. you're one of these you're one of these now we all just look at ledley with rose tinted glasses no not at all you've let bardie ruin you no god no no no i mean it's going to be a really boring podcast if we both say ledley king for every answer um i'm just trying to think trying to rack my brain now who i would who i'd take if that's the the era that we're in I'm going to go with Aaron Lennon Love Lennon Love Lennon And like I was talking about That player that Makes you get up off your seat And just think something can happen Like Lennon We always back in the day His crossing wasn't great Or his final third balls Weren't this He was that player that was just like Just give him the ball That drop of the shoulder and just fucking running at defenders.

1:01:57Ricky:Electric, I love that guy. He scored some great goals for us as well. And whenever I saw his name on the team sheet, I knew we were in with a chance. We were safe. Do you know what I mean? I wouldn't be campaigning for this one, head and shoulders, but the thought of old two-ton Tommy, Tommy Udderstone, in the midfield, dropping them balls over the top for Solanke would be... Yeah, yeah, yeah. You know what I mean? would be something, I reckon. Didn't we call him Thud? Yeah. Thud was done. Eaker twatter ball, that man. Yeah, yeah. Remember the days, I think it was against Manchester City. It was.

1:02:36It was one of them when he was like three inches off the ground, but like a fucking rocket. He caught it so sweetly as well. And he seems surprised because he's like shaking his hands, isn't he, when he scored it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, he doesn't really know what to do. He was, oh, I loved him, man. He was, I think he's still playing, I think he was playing until maybe a year or so again.

1:02:56Ricky:Yeah, he was. I'm sure he was. He got it reserves. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Which is quite mad, really. But I think he retired last year, actually. But what a player he was, man. He was a special player on his day, Tommy Adelstein. Yeah, and like, you know, they say like a good touch for a big lad. He was a bit of a unit, but his feet, remarkable. Absolutely. Great player. Lovely. the one, the only Billy T has asked us, you're at a house party. Someone says, can my mate come? He sound, which is the best Spurs player that this could be? And who is the worst? So it's similar to the Spag Bowl one, but I think it's a different dynamic at house party.

1:03:43Ricky:Yeah. I've got the worst. Who's that? I'm probably going to go with Vicario. Because he'd be screaming in people's faces. you know when Pep is the opposition team and there's a player walking off and he's going up to him and he's doing all the fingers and he's saying this is what you need to do like Vicario is just doing that in people's ear and you're like mate fucking whose mate is this who fucking brought him along calm down it's just a bit of 7up and vodka it's a house fight mate you don't need to be saying that's not how you make you know what I mean like all that it is mate like just calm down a bit like yeah fine fine fine i know aperol spritz is lovely but i don't have the requisite like parts here to make that just you know chill it yeah you're right on that one i think it'd be or also romero because i reckon he might just turn up and just be surly one of those people stands in the corner who you know he sort of said yeah can i come to this party you invite him to the party and he's like this is shit yeah i stand there and just sort of be a bit of a knob to everybody quite blunt direct yeah yeah yeah yeah so as soon as he comes through the door he walks straight into the downstairs toilet and has a a whopping turnout doesn't use air freshener doesn't do anything leaves the door open he just walks back into the front room

1:05:12oh dear that was uh sure dice wasn't it yeah yeah Yeah, he's, wow. Wow. I can imagine there's been many, many a toilet destroyed by Sean Dyche.

1:05:24Ricky:Yeah, and he's the type of guy, if he was at a party, he would do it. He would have a turd with the door open, but for a laugh, he'd get his newspaper and be wafting the smell into the front room as well. For a laugh. Having a big, he did it, you know? Coming out with a big grin on his face. Newspaper in his arm, do you know what I mean? like doing his belt back up as he's walking into that there is no mistake it was that dude that did that he's here over the other side of the of the room like near where the toilet was he'd hear people be like oh fucking hell what's that smell he's sort of having to giggle to himself as he walks in he just says give that 20 minutes

1:06:12Daishi Sean Daishi who'd be the best Spurs player to invite to, again, like, I think, I think Biss would be pretty good value. We saw him in this post. Literally, he's about to say that.

1:06:24Ricky:I think he seems like the guy that is always got the stereo, always dancing, always happy. And that is the type of guy that I'd like to bring to a party. Just bringing the, the joyous kind of letting yourself go, just being happy and just you know i think it would be this for me you can imagine him being like a poxy little bluetooth speaker there at the party already until he shows up with like do i mean the thing he was dragging around yeah yeah neighbors come around to complain and somehow he's like just let me handle it and he manages to talk to like you know ethel and albert from number number 86 who are coming around for a moan by the end of the night they're in there as well like he's just got that power of persuasion about him yeah the good vibes yeah unless it's a house party he'll probably bring the balloons as well so yeah yeah that'd be good that'd be fun yeah is that an alleged thing or is it no no you actually we're allowed to talk about that aren't we it's not just alleged the balloons i didn't know that there was a did it happen or didn't it happen it did happen of course it did yeah okay good all right yeah because and spoke about it didn't he yeah yeah he had to kind of rip them on them didn't he what did you just mean for decoration actually that's what that's yeah that's exactly yeah yeah yeah yeah

1:07:54um where's johnson again ole ole um at wesla says do you worry about our slow start to the transfer window or are you it's just early calm down i'm between the two i think we've already spoken about but i would say i'm i'm i'm fine with it don't i mean yeah yeah we we did speak

1:08:15Ricky:about it and i i am fine but i understand people's frustration and i understand that other clubs are making moves and it's like you're looking around us to say what what are we doing and then when we are we're kind of fed rumours or bullshit and we are shopping in I can't remember the fella's name Defender Burnley or something like that and it's like we're waiting for a transfer and then it's someone that we're trying to poach from Burnley and you're like we're about to play in the Champions League Did you see old Ali Gold? he uh he dared he dared to uh post yesterday on twitter something about like he was just like i'm really excited about the superman film coming out because i loved superman ever since i was a little boy blah blah blah and his mentions are all full of fucking tell us about tottenham transfers i don't want to hear about any of this i don't care if you're going to watch some fucking melt film oh my god that's so funny poor ali i i love ali absolutely love him there's just something about him that i just um i i enjoy from his articles and he's like everyone's big brother in a tottenham big brother like he's yeah and i kind of as well like i i get the the feeling that he is a tottenham fan do you know what i mean yeah big time big so like i yeah as a reporter yeah you're reporting but i also like it's kind of like he i feel like he fights our corner do you know if that makes sense yeah i do by by professionally treading that line as he's reporting but i also feel his frustrations as a tottenham fan if that makes sense yeah um i've just realized how long i've been talking to you rick so i won't hold you for much longer i'll uh i'll ask you this one this one final question um this is from joshua almeida on patron he uh says does the rick dog still have beef with blue sky do i still have but i don't think i've ever had beef with blue sky i am on there and if someone asks me uh i will reply to them but i just don't find it as it's it obviously is very different to twitter and and it felt very divided on you know you've got people that support Tottenham on X and people that support Tottenham on Blue Sky and it felt like neither on either side were right and I was somewhere in the center so it felt like when I went on Blue Sky if you were to dare to not even criticized but feedback of the game a lot of people that loved ang and i love ang as well but if you if you were to say something you would get fucking clattered for it and i was just like you know what i i'm not it's not that deep it really isn't and then so every time that there was anything to say on blue sky you would just be met by a lot of people that were fully supportive revenge which is fine but then it just escalates doesn't it into people being knobs so you kind of then start feeling like you know i'm just not really going to post on here a lot or i'm not going to say anything of i mean i wasn't even saying anything inflammatory on there or you know that's going to put people's backs up but then on x you can or twitter you can i can say stuff and i don't really get that much blowback anyway so yeah i've got no beef with blue sky i just think it's quite early in its um development really i like blue sky because it allows me to flex a more sort of tender part of my personality that i'd feel too shy doing on uh on twitter that's what i like twitter you know i'm my profile pictures me sticking my middle finger up it's to trunk he says horrible things to everyone doesn't he and he yeah yeah he does all his photoshops whereas over on blue sky i can be a bit more like i went for a nice walk today it was lovely you know i'm a coward really rick i'm a coward no no no no so what i mean the platforms and audiences are different on different platforms so and it's all depending you know i i don't want to post on twitter and just get called a cuck for saying i enjoyed something no i mean you're you're the reason this country's gone this way what because i because i said i liked a glass of wine yeah the and the thing is as well on on uh twitter like obviously i could post a picture of myself and someone would i don't know say anything but i could post it on instagram or blue sky and it'd be far more positive reaction to it so so i get it but there are times where i go to sign into twitter and i'm on the for you page like it automatically loads that up instead of people i follow so i scroll without realizing and the racism that is on there is just fucking horrendous it's slop isn't it it is it's it truly is awful and it's just feeding into this big machine to kind of like have these loud voices that are just you know screaming into the void and everyone retreating it it's just like it's vile so i mean either place isn't fucking you know the promised land as yet but i'll come back on blue sky i'll be a bit more active on there um and this this would be a good one to to close it out on rick is uh oh hang on where's it gone i think he was called solly spurs because this is basically this is me bringing it a full circle for you to get a plug in there where's he gone fpl sonny says ask ricky when the lads anonymous patreon is dropping he's been saying soon i'm working on it since the az outmar game that is true that is true i don't know if it's from the az outmar game but i will take your word for it so um with the lads anonymous patron it is ready on my side so what i mean what i wanted to do is if you're going to sign up to patron i would like everything to be kind of ready i didn't want it to do to say sign up and then people sign up and they're like oh it's you know i haven't really i don't feel i've got value for money from what i've just signed up to so i wanted to get all the videos that we have saved up that we filmed for each pod and have them uploaded all the audio with no adverts uploaded to patreon and to have the discord configured i wanted to have everything great so and you know when you've got like over 100 kind of audio podcasts and 70 video podcasts all of that stuff takes fucking time and doing it around from my life so that's why patreon took a while and at the moment patreon is currently and it has been since the first of july we're stuck and the support for patreon is shit so basically it's in us dollars so when you come to patreon and you want to pay the fee it's all calculated in us dollars now i want that in british sterling and there is an easy way to do it but for some reason there is a glitch or a problem in the back end of the lads anonymous patreon i'm working with patreon and every day they come back and say right try it now and i go to try it won't let me do it fuck so i go back to them and say not working fucking help me and because of the time difference and the delay and how many you know emails they get there it's just getting longer and longer but it should be dropping anytime soon honestly it will be imminent i just this is the last thing that i need to iron out and it will be sorted but i want it to be you know when you come there you can see the price if you want if you want to join on board with the lads then go ahead you'd be most welcome but that's the last thing you need to iron out is me mate when i fucking come for you give it a go but when i see you mate i see it it's on yeah all the all this right well

1:17:29bellinaire garden mugging me off on twitter in front of all my pal telling me you're not coming on my podcast imagine that we had a tear up tear up in the bellinaire what are they having a fight about well one of them said to the other one on twitter i'm not coming on your podcast

1:17:47Ricky:you do see that though there has been that in the uh topnum sphere hasn't there yeah someone said i can't remember who the fuck it was now but someone said that they agreed to go on a podcast and then they didn't turn up and you know i haven't seen that oh you have to tell me that you have to give me the tea off air yeah ricky it's been a pleasure mate thank you very much always a pleasure and And where can people listen to Lads Anon, follow it, all that sort of stuff if they want to? Lads Anonymous, if you go to Spotify, type in Lads Anonymous, you'll see the black and white logo that says Lads Anon.

And if you want to follow us on social, the best place is Instagram, and that is at lads anon pod and what should they do about auto downloads rick they should yeah you should auto download going to spotify if you do follow us uh if you do decide to follow us go into spotify and you'll see a cog next to our name on lads anon hit the cog you'll see the option for auto download and just hit auto download wherever you are whatever you do and you'll always have a podcast with you see and do that for all the roost as well i wanted you to do that because i always forget what it is that you're supposed to do and i'm always like yeah i have this uh literally yesterday i got a screen grab and i will post it on lads and on someone saying that they had a photo they went camping at the weekend they took a load of mushies they started tripping out and they were freaking out didn't know what to do and they had lads and on auto downloaded they're in the middle of the woods they had no reception started listening to lads and on and proper chilled out and got through it and i was like that is fucking insane what a uh what a recommendation isn't it brilliant lovely
