In short
“Bumper Summer Best Of – Part Four” from Shag Married Annoyed, mixing Strictly Come Dancing talk, relationship/marriage banter, “What’s Your Beef?” segments, and listener stories (including a porn-star date email and a “spit in mouth” anecdote). It also includes ads (Botox for chronic migraine; American Express Graphite Business Cash card).

Key claims
Rosie and Chris discuss the “Strictly curse,” their pre-pandemic voices sounding “younger,” and Chris’s “professional” dancing being misrepresented by press. They argue marriage is “happy to be happy” and compare it to a “Temptation Island” cheating premise. They claim Cadbury’s World/Factory rules allow eating chocolate on-site (presented as a rumor).
Notable examples
teaching celebs a dance routine vs pros learning in under 30 seconds; Rosie chewing a toenail hangnail for 15 minutes; Chris’s sand-in-laptop-charger story; the email about a “male Geordie porn star” Simon who remembers the date but not Rosie; a story about a man spitting in a newly single woman’s mouth after she woke up.

It could be chronic migraine. 15 or more headache days a month, each lasting four hours or more. Botox, Autobotulinum Toxin A, prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine. It's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms.

1:09Rosie Ramsey:Why wait? Ask your doctor. Visit BotoxChronicMigraine.com or call 1-800-44-BOTOX to learn more. Hello, you're listening to Shagmaridinoid. Bumper, summer, best of. We genuinely hope you're really enjoying these episodes of us from the past. Little trips down memory lane, aren't they? Little trips down memory lane. Now, addressing the elephant in the room, we both sound like shit today. What's happened? I don't know. So it's currently in real time, not in the summer best of, in real time, it's currently the summer holidays. Third week. Third week. Second week. It's not the summer. It's been about eight months.
1:47It's been 900 years. Yeah, so we're like a week ahead or something of the podcast. We don't really have to record one this week because we've got so much of that stuff on, family stuff and things. So we went to the theatre last night. We've had just a couple of nights. It's been my birthday. So what I'm concerned about is we both sound like dog shit. It's early in the morning.
2:07Rosie Ramsey:We also went out to an engagement party with a free bar. Yeah, on Sunday night. When does that happen? That's still hanging on us. Yeah, so basically, like I'm saying, we're about to introduce the bumper best of number four which is uh it talks about me getting announced for strictly which is 2019 holy right yeah that's that's in the past that is so long ago in my life um yeah i mean yeah pandemic adds 10 years um but actually did anything before 2020 yeah was the past yeah but we are my point being like i'm saying here you are listening to our voices now we sound like we smoke 40 a day we sound absolutely terrible neither of us smoke by the way um you're about to hear we're chipper and chirpy one kid pre-pandemic happy as fuck that i can't i'm gonna listen to this back when this comes out i'm gonna listen to this back just to hear the difference from when we stop talking now to when our actual voices we've just aged it's normal no no i don't normally sound this bad i don't normally sound this bad i'm on i'm on a three-day hangover right we've just aged and that's life in it what are you gonna do i'm on I'm personally in 3D Hangover.
3:11Rosa might have aged. I'm personally in 3D Hangover. Listen, we talk about Strictly. We talk about getting announced for Strictly. We talk about the Strictly curse. Ooh. Which never took hold for either of us because you did the Christmas special as well. Speak for yourself. Brilliant. That's lovely. Check me DMs. Yes, it's joking, but I'm going to be worrying about that for a few hours. So that's good.
3:30Rosie Ramsey:I could be fucking on. We talk about your famous school project that you did on Cadbury's. Oh, yeah. And your love of chocolate starter. I do believe chocolate quill or chit pig might have been coined it around this time. Might have been started around here. It might have been coined it around this time. Can I just say, I haven't had a bar of Cadbury's dairy milk for months. Really? When was the last time I had a bar of dairy milk? I mean, it's been, I swear, it's been about seven months. All right, but you can't say that as if I'm like, I don't put locks on the cupboards. Oh, no, I'm just, I just tried to not eat as much chocolate.
4:01Right, well, very.
4:02Rosie Ramsey:I'm fully moved on to crisps. just about to say very well done but I've probably gone a Christmas I've kind of gone more savoury right well there we go anyway listen enjoy the episode that's where we are that's where we are in life yeah we're happier we're younger life was just nicer back then but enjoy we hope you're enjoying your summer holidays whatever you're up to this is supposed to be really happy for people is it hey remember we're like oh god oh god take us back please love you We had a fight about the jingle We couldn't settle on a jingle So this is the jingle We hope you like the jingle Jingle Babadoo, babadoo, babadoo, ba Jingle Hello, you're listening to Shag Married Annoyed with me, Rosie Ramsey, and my husband Electra, play what's happening Christopher Ramsey
5:11that's me terrified
5:17Rosie Ramsey:I don't know how long this lasts for hang on that's already out of breath somebody goes that bit right oh god I think it might be the long version. Shall I tell that a stop? Yes, please. Ready? That's it. Wait! No. Jesus. Alexa! Alexa! Alexa! Alexa! This is painful, guys. Alexa! Alexa! Hold on, hold on. She doesn't like you. Wait. Alexa! Alexa! Alexa! This is horrible.
6:04Alexa's possessed. Turn her off at the wall.
6:10That was awful. This is the worst intro that's ever happened. Why wouldn't you turn off?
6:20Rosie Ramsey:I had to put it on volume 10 so that you could hear it all the way from me. Right. That was horrendous. I can only apologise to everyone listening. That was the worst. Jesus. Good heavens. I feel sick. Sorry. I don't even know what episode this is. I don't know. Do you want to do it again? Or should we just leave it? Might as well just leave it, I think. Okay, sorry. Good heavens. I got really angry. Alexa's actually frightened. She's scared. Don't say it. She's turned it off at the wall. right good god okay what happens now bon anniversaire what is that happy birthday in french thank you bon anniversaire so if you listen to this on friday as it comes out it is literally the chocolate quilted shit pigs birthday as we speak get in the chocolate quilted shit pig is turning 21 45 45 years young 48.
7:25Rosie Ramsey:Thank you. 45 years old. Don't I look good for it? Fantastic. They all said don't marry an older woman. Should fade fast, but you know what? You're fading moderately. I know. And my vagina, it's like a mouse's ear. Oh my God. Isn't it? Like a cat's anus. Oh, stop it now. It's so early in the podcast for that kind of talk. Listen, it's my birthday. I will talk about my tight vagina Vagina, if I like. Stop it right now. Thank you so much. Yeah. Thank you for all of the non-stop birthday messages that I'm sure are flooding in today. Well, actually, we're recording this on Tuesday. I've already had three.
8:04Rosie Ramsey:Really? It's not my birthday yet. Yeah. Wow. So I don't know why that's coming up. Do you know what it is? It'll probably be like on a... Somebody's probably tagged us in something years ago on Facebook on the wrong day on my birthday. And it's coming up. And now it's coming up. And it's embarrassing for them. I haven't replied. Hey, I'll tell you what. since I got signed up with Strictly, I have lost so many years. I've gone five years younger, I am. What do you mean? I thought you were going to say, wait. No, no, all the press. They say I'm 28. I'm buzzing. 28? 28, it said the other day in the paper.
8:34The funny man, 28.
8:36Rosie Ramsey:Wow, I mean, wrong on two accounts there. That's embarrassing. Do you know what I'm finding? I'm laughing, but I'm actually crying inside. You know what I'm finding? I'm finding hilarious about the whole Strictly thing. that the press seemed to have latched on to me being a professional dancer. Rosie, I did a pit, a press pit last night, like on the red carpet. And I just sort of like, it's pit sounds like I literally doled up the stage. Hey, Chris, what's going on? Come on in the pit. Where are you going to meet? Like a wash pit. Like I jump off the stage. Here he is, funny man, 28. Every single question started with, every single, it's like all of the paper, as all of the TV shows, every single question started with, so you've got an unfair advantage because your wife's a professional dancer.
9:19Rosie Ramsey:Right, can we just clarify? I have never been to dance classes. I've never been to theatre school. My professional dancing qualification is working in the clubs and abroad. And pontons, don't forget pontons. I was a ponton blue coat. It's very minimal dance. I'm all right, but I'm not strictly come dancing standard. I'm not slagging you off by any stretch yet. No, you're going to. I'll go on, then I will. Listen to your slag. You're shit. You know you're shit. Put your dancing shoes away. Listen, I am not slagging you off at all here. But what I'm saying is, yes, you're a good dancer. Yes, you can move.
9:54I see you're dancing. And when you get up, it just flows through you very naturally. When I showed you a couple of the dance moves that I'd learned, you were like, oh, yeah, and you knew what it was. But you are not on the level of them bad lads at Trickley. I'm serious right now. The lasses and the lads are on. Don't pull that face. They're in, Rosie, they're irritatingly good.
10:12Rosie Ramsey:Yeah, well, obviously, because that is their job. I know, but I knew they'd be good. But listen, right? So one day what happened was all the celebs, we all went in and we learned like a dance routine, right? We all, it took easily four and a half hours to learn this thing in the afternoon. And we learned all these different bits. And we're so proud of ourselves. Like so, to the point of where me and a few of the others went to the bar in the hotel that night. And we're like, oh my God, that was so good. I didn't think I'd be able to do it. I was on the phone to you, Rosie, going, I think I can do it.
10:36Halfway through the bar, I'm sitting in the bar stool. I got cramped. I had to like stand up. I'm like, oh, just me dancing as cramped because you know how I'm a class dancer now? I swear to God, the celebs came in the next day. Four and a half hours it took us. In under 30 seconds. Yeah, yeah, yeah. The pros, sorry. The pros came in the next day. In under 30 seconds, they had that dance.
10:52Rosie Ramsey:I feel sorry for them. Under 30 seconds. Yeah. And I knew they'd be good, but that was a kick in the dick. I honestly feel really sorry for them. Having to drag my arse around the dance floor. No, I just think, when you're that good at something, having to teach someone who's crap would infuriate me. I'd be like, it's step ball change! step ball change you showed me a couple of weeks ago like a couple of moves I tried to teach you and I was done in by five minutes in this was yeah so this was before I'd even went down to meet the celebs this is before I'd even met anyone or started anything you said oh look I'll teach you a couple of little things I mean we argued after two minutes yeah it was horrible you sat down you were like you're gonna be shit if you're not gonna listen to people you're gonna be shit and I was like well they'll be nicer than you and I can stop them there might not be you still don't know who you're with, do you?
11:40No, no. I still don't know
11:41Rosie Ramsey:who you're going to be bucking behind my back. That, bucking's a horrendous word. By the way, if you're not from the North East, welcome to the world of knowing the word bucking means sex. Enjoy that. Take it out in your lives. Feel free to offend everyone with that. Who did you, who did you buck last night? Do you know what's ridiculous? I don't think I've ever really used that phrase before. Bucking's disgusting. It's horrible, isn't it? You bucking him. Bucking wall ass. What were you doing? Hey, I rang you. Why didn't you answer your phone? Sorry, I was butting wall, lass. So busy getting me buck on.
12:18Rosie Ramsey:Do you ever sometimes think it's a bit weird that you've got a wife? Yeah. And I've got a husband. It is strange. I know what you mean. Obviously, I thought our wedding was amazing and lovely, but when you're at other people's weddings, you listen to the stuff that they're saying as they're sort of promising themselves to each other, and it is probably weird, like. Yeah, well, you just kind of look and go, But remember when we were like that. Remember when we were buzzing. Yeah, like in love and that and just like really excited for the future. Yeah, no, but now it's a different, we were talking about this the other night.
12:46Rosie Ramsey:It's a different kind of love. It's like I am happy to just be happy with you rather than being bothered with anybody else. Yeah, it's a kind of even in the moments when I feel like I need to leave, I can't be bothered. So I'll stick it out. That's exactly, that's what marriage is. It's kind of like being stuck in a swamp. A little bit. But it's a nice swamp. But it's still a swamp. It's a swamp way. Sometimes I do your washing and that and you'll take my car. You'll park my car in the drive if I need it and stuff. Yeah. So it's nice. It's like a convenience. It's like a mutual, convenient, helpful swamp.
13:22Yes.
13:22Rosie Ramsey:With the occasional cuddle slash book. Book. If you aren't aware what a book is, we're not going to explain it. You'll have to go back and do your prior reading for this episode. Go and do your homework. Tell them all, why were we talking about marriage in that way? What is our new favourite TV show? Oh, what's it called again? Temptation Island. Temptation Island. Good God, it's amazing. Yeah. I tried to explain the sort of plot of it to my mum the other day, randomly on the phone, and I immediately regretted it, and I sounded stupid. What were you telling your mum about Temptation Island for?
13:56Because the show's like, have you watched Outlander? Have you watched any more Outlander? Because my mum loves Outlander so much. And yeah, I said, oh, I'll watch this other thing. it was really easy listening because we're a bit of a stressful day easy watching because it was a bit of a stressful day oh my god so guys if you haven't seen temptation island oh it's like love island but the main aim is to cheat not to to couple up with someone who you think you want to be with and be faithful to the main aim is to cheat it's fucking amazing so the concept is four
14:22Rosie Ramsey:couples it's american of four couples go to this island there's the girl villa and the boy villa and it's basically just loads of single men in the woman's one and loads of single girls and the men's one and it's like it's like can you stay faithful for a month it's like sending the women and the men on a like a month intensive night out where they actually live with the people who are in the bar do you know yeah god it's good well it's like sending me to the dairy milk cabarees factory and saying rosie you will not touch anything or we're getting a divorce rosie that would be the shortest show in the world.
15:00There'd be like 15 minutes of build-up and backstory of us and then there'd be a shot of you walking in the factory and then there'd be a shot of the divorce forms with you signing it with melted chocolate on your hands.
15:11Rosie Ramsey:Hello, Mrs. Ramsey, would you like a Freddo's face? Yes! On all the faces. Remember, you've got to try... Sorry, what? I can't hear you for the chocolate I've just fucking shoved in every hole in me head. Have I said on the podcast yet before? I don't know if I have, but I think I've told you this. Do you know that in year six, I did my project about Cadbury's. Absolutely fantastic. Did you know that? I don't think I knew this. Yeah, I did a full project. Did I know it? I may have known it. I don't know. I don't know if it's podcast being talked about or in real life, but if I can't remember it, they're not Ghani, so explain.
15:42What was it about?
15:43Rosie Ramsey:I can't remember. I think I just had to do a project about something that you really liked. Wow. And obviously, it was year six, so I just remember that I drew pictures of the rainforest and that, because I think where the cocoa beans come from. Yeah. but I contacted Cabri World and they sent me some stuff which was nice so I put that in my project but yeah what a fat horrible mess was that my year six project was about chocolate but I've got problems I've got serious problems and I'll tell you once when I was in junior school we had a bit where we had to stand up in front of the we had to stand up in front of all of the year groups and say what New Year's resolution was.
16:27Okay. And everyone's was like, don't bite me nails, don't fight with me sister and stuff like that. And mine was, and I remember reading it off a piece of paper and I can tell you exactly what it was. My New Year's resolution is to play on my Sega Mega Drive more and to stop resetting it when I lose. And I genuinely remember seeing a guy in the year above in the crowd, like disgusted. He was in the audience. Audience, that's not a good game. he was in the assembly and he was he just like looked at us as if to go what a friggin idiot you are
16:57Rosie Ramsey:I don't understand what do you mean resetting it when you lose so I had Street Fighter at the time I loved Street Fighter well as soon as I got beat I would just stand up and just press reset like Raj even if I was on like you know like almost at the final boss I would just press reset like an idiot and that was me New Year's recently I was going to stop resetting it when I lose you've always been quite bad at losing didn't you your mum and dad recently said when Robin stays at their house he's got this lovely little game that he plays it's called Shop and Listen and you've got to take turns to pick all the little bits upside down and put them on your list or whatever.
17:25Rosie Ramsey:And they were like, your mom was going, hey, it's so lovely playing games with Robin. Do you know when Chris was younger, we couldn't play any games. We could never play any games because he used to always cry and have a tantrum when he lost. I have, I still do. When Robin beats us at something, I go off it. Lock him in the shed. Pathetic. Well, I told you, didn't I? I think it was my seventh birthday or something we had at Temple Park Leisure Centre. And all I remember from it is running around, and being out in musical chairs and being out in past the parcel and not winning and just screaming crying.
17:55Just the whole time, screaming crying.
17:57Rosie Ramsey:Oh, I'd have. I got home, I got bollocked. I hated you when you were younger. Yeah, well, you probably didn't have time for friends. You were probably too busy doing reports on various confectionery companies. Possibly, yes. I've still not been to Cadbury's World. I would like to go. No, I don't think we'd get your bag out. I don't think you would. There's another thing that I've been told before. this is how much this is I retain information when it's interesting to us right if it's not I just forget it so it's about food it's about Cadbury's did you know right that in the Cadbury factory you're allowed to eat whatever you want this doesn't sound this sounds like bullshit this is the rules no it's the rules in the Cadbury factory you can eat anything you want all the chocolate you want because the kind of live by the you'll get sick of it eventually I don't think that's true somebody told me it once somebody told you it once I think it was a teacher.

18:46Okay, well, let's work on the idea that that is true and let's put you on the production line. The profits would plummet.
18:55Rosie Ramsey:Do you know, like, do you know Veronica Salt? Veruca Salt? When you get to get big, that would just be me.
19:04Oh, my gosh.
19:05Rosie Ramsey:Put me on the bloody line. You'd literally, what you'd do is you'd move whatever thing it is. So if the conveyor belt's going on with loads of Freddos on, you'd move whatever thing that went into when you would just lie there with your mouth open and let freddos just fall into your face. Yeah. Like a cartoon. I would. Nobody knows how I eat a bar of dairy milk. I think they do. Do they? But you can tell them you did it last night. It was disgusting. Yeah. Explain. Okay, well, I open the dairy milk, obviously. And, mate, you've got to, you can't have washed your hands, like, really. Oh, it's going to sound terrible now.
19:35Rosie Ramsey:Obviously, I don't have dirty hands. But I've known, I've noticed that over time, if I've just been in the toilet and washed my hands, and then I try and do this. It doesn't work because it doesn't melt as good. So it's got to be, your hands have got to be a little bit like, just kind of, I don't know, that's friction or something. Because you melt your fingers into it, don't you? Well, yes. I take the whole bar out. It's mental. I hold the bottom two squares with my thumb and my two fingers, two first fingers, okay? And then I suck the rest of it. Yeah. Like, genuinely like, I'm giving it. Like a lolly.
20:05Yeah, yeah, yeah.
20:06Rosie Ramsey:Well, I was going to say something else, but I suck it like that and then the bottom squares melt, right? And then what I do once they've melted, I turn it round so that the bits I've been sucking they melt as well. And then I lick my fingers. You turned to me last night when we were watching Peaky Blinders and out of the corner of my eye I looked at you and I thought, she's got really dark lipstick on today. And it was chocolate. And it was all over your face like a toddler. It was minging. I want to date with Rawls, Carty says. Rawls? Rucker asks? This is the love story of real hinge couple Carti and Rocker.

22:21Terms apply. Learn more at go.amex.com It's time for What's Your Beef? Rosie, I'll stop you there.
22:28Rosie Ramsey:What? We've got a jingle for it this time. Are you taking the mic? No, I'm not at all. No, no, no, no. What? Here we go. Friend of ours, Glenn Ruffhead, did a bloody beautiful jingle. Here it is. What's your beef? What's your beef? What's your beef? What is your beef? Tell you what, I'll see you in court. That's great. I like that. I want to be if. Tell you what, I'll see you in court. Very good. Thanks, Glenn. Fantastic. That's my new catchphrase. I'll see you in court. Amazing. Time for what's beef. As always, ladies first. Okay, my turn. This is recent. You hate when I play with me, Mike. Sorry.
23:03Rosie Ramsey:Yeah, you're fucking about with my... I can't help it. This is very recent. Okay. So obviously you've got Strictly coming up, we all know. Yeah. You're trying to get a bit fitter. Yeah. Not like to lose weight or anything, just a bit fitter because you don't seem to realise how exhausting it's going to be. Yeah, well, I don't want to be able to taste blood while I'm trying to learn me cha-cha-cha. Yeah, because it's harder than it looks. Yeah. It's very much cardio-like. Of course. You're going to lose loads of weight. I'm going to be furious, but it's fine. I'm already leaning me in front of the machine, but carry on.
23:32Great.
23:33Rosie Ramsey:So you, this week, have done three high-intensity workouts. Yep. And last night, while stood in your boxers, before we went in the bath, you made me look at your legs. Yep. And you said, how good do my legs go? Look. How good do my legs look? Yeah. Like, they changed after three workouts. Well, had they? No. Well, they had. Because that doesn't happen. Well, they definitely had. It doesn't happen. Well, someone stopped us in the street the other day and said, have you done three workouts? And I went, yeah. And they grabbed my leg. That's ridiculous. I've also got another part of my beef. I just, you know what it is?
24:04I feel like they have. Hang on. Okay. I've got more. Oh, you've got more?
24:09Rosie Ramsey:Also, part of my beef is, when you exercise, you sound grotesque. Have you recorded it? Maybe. You're such an arse.
24:22He's all killing me legs. This is an invasion of privacy, this.
24:31Rosie Ramsey:Six minutes long. Listen to that. I'm going with him. I'm pushing. This is slander. Oh, fuck this. Oh, fuck this. This is a deep fake. are you alright it's really stiff do they look shite no it doesn't matter it looks like does it I didn't do them properly come on
25:00Jesus
25:05Rosie Ramsey:it basically just goes on like that for like five minutes go to heavens yeah so that's yeah that was in the same room where we're doing this it's a gym a playroom dining area podcast studio podcast studio oh fuck this listen I was pushing myself to the limit and I'm not scared I'd rather make them noises here on podcast for 6 million listens or whatever than do it on telly for the 15 million viewers well there you go but yeah I just I don't like exercise I don't like it as soon as I started I wanted to end immediately I'm the same honestly I used to I used to go to a gym near where we live, and I stopped going because I didn't like the carpet because it made us feel sad.
25:46The carpet, every time I walked in, I saw the carpet, and I went, oh, I know what this feels like now. I can't go anywhere with blue carpet because it reminds us of that. Horrible.
25:54Rosie Ramsey:So what is your beef with le moi? What is my beef? Well, my beef with you, other than the absolute obvious invasions of privacy that's going on right here, right now. Doing it for the podcast. Doing it for the love. Not doing it for the money, obviously. Good. All the cereal that you lampooned earlier on. Yeah. I've got two beefs one is of the kind of little jokey jokey isn't this nice variety which I'm shelving this week because you recorded me exercising like some kind of paparazzi member I'm just doing it before they do cool well remember it's for the love I'll veto it I'll scream what are you going to say I'll scream.
26:39Rosie Ramsey:What are you going to say? My beef with you this week, Rosemary Ramsey, is we were lying in bed the other night. You picked one of your toenails off
26:54and put it in your mouth and chewed it for around about 15 minutes. And I could hear the... of the chewing of the... And I went, what is that noise? Oh my God, are you chewing that toenail you just pulled off? And you went, yes, what's wrong with that? It's my toenail. Why can't I have a little chew? And I lay there reading me book as the noise just got louder to the point of where I went, you're going to have to stop because it sounds like someone chiseling in your mouth
27:27Rosie Ramsey:and you spat it out. Right, okay. And it's, notice I didn't say anything at the time. I immediately wrote it in my phone, rolled over, went to sleep and had nightmares about it. The toenail murderer is not going to find a victim in this house. He's going to find an ally. Minging. Fucking minging. Listen, right, let's just clarify this. It wasn't a full toenail.
27:55Rosie Ramsey:It was like a hangnail off the end of it that I had to pick off before I went to bed because it would have just... You know when the thing is on the sheet? You can't sleep. So it was just a little bit. And I thought, you know what? I'm going to have a bit of chew on this. You know I love chewing stuff. And it was just, it was quite chewy. And then I spat it out. So I don't see what your problem is.
28:16Rosie Ramsey:Is that a bad thing? You do love a chew of stuff. Because if we ever, you know when you get a bottle of water and you've got to pull the sort of seal bit off. Yeah, chew it. Yeah, like a little smoothie or something. You will chew it for ages. Well, I worked with a girl called Natalie once. And we both love chewing stuff. and we used to text each other saying, found a good chew. Like dogs could use food. Like if dogs could use food. Do you know what the best thing was? What? The best chew, right? I don't know if they do them anymore, but you know like bottles of pop? That's when I used to drink pop.
28:50Rosie Ramsey:Inside the lid, there was like a little tiny bit of plastic. Yes. And I used to fold it over and that was a good chew. Pringles top, like the top of a Pringles box, that was a good chew. Wow. I used to also, I'm a bit, I am a bit strange. I'm going to admit this. I used to. Do you know a packet of chewing gum? Mm-hmm. When I finished a packet of chewing gum, I'd open up the wrapper. Do you know the glue? Right. The glue that sticks all the chewing gum wrapper together. Okay. I used to scrape it all off. Right. And I'd get it all together and then chew that. What the hell's wrong with you? I don't know.
29:21That's the worst thing. My incisors must be like, I am the toenail murderer. You blatantly are. Oh, the noise. The noise of your chewing the toenail. I'm so sick. So bad.
29:34Rosie Ramsey:You sound like you're literally having sex while you're doing burpees. Well. I'd rather listen to crunchy toenails. Don't think you would.
29:45Mingan, stop that.
29:46Rosie Ramsey:I'm trying to find a proper... Is this what it sounded like? It just... I can't even describe it. It just sounded like... When someone bites their nails and you hear like a... It sounded like that, but I knew you weren't biting your nails. Oh, fingernails are rubbish. I don't bite fingernails. Oh, I know, I know. Toe nails are loads thicker.
30:07See what I live with, guys? Just see what I live with. Arrest my case.
30:12Rosie Ramsey:Will you still have sex with us after this? Cut your nails first. Always. And dispose of them. Not in your mouth. Probably.
30:23Rosie Ramsey:This is quite sad. Like, I put on my Instagram, we've got a really top podcast in the country. Yeah. We're doing quite well. You're on Strictly. like you know jobs, work's canny life's good also a top flight stand up comedian will carry on well that's you yeah but you know not just on Strictly just so everyone knows no this is your job now it's all you do you're just a dancer oh god you're gonna be on the west end after this I'd rather die
30:52Rosie Ramsey:so yeah today I had to take my laptop to Newcastle right in a carrier bag what kind of carrier bag? A five pence carrier bag wasn't even a good bag for life. It was a five pence co-op carrier bag. Co-op ones. The co-op ones are see-through. Yeah, well, I had to put it in that and then put it in my bag. Because I haven't got a laptop cover. What's wrong with you? They're like, you can get laptop covers on them little stores in the middle of Newcastle for like two quid. I don't know what size it is. You had it with you. Oh.
31:30Oh, Jesus.
31:30Rosie Ramsey:Oh, here's something really annoying. Laptop case aside, because I need to do... Because what happened was the week before when I was being a coffee wanker, I got sand in the charger bit. Jesus Christ. Off the bottom of my bag. Right. Because I had sand in my bag. This is just you all over. Your car's a fucking mess. Well, I know. You're a disgrace. Well, I just need a laptop case. Sand in your lap. What have you got sand in your bag for? You're nine? We live in the coast. I live in the coast. I haven't got sand in my bag. I live in the coast as well. There's no sand in any of my things. Oh, there's absolute shite in my bag.
32:01Rosie Ramsey:There's sand. There's chewing gum that I've put in a little bit of paper that's come undone. It's disgusting, my bag. You once shouted at me. Your bag is bad, but the side, the little door, the door... Of the car? Yeah, the door of your car is disgusting. And you once, when we shared a car, you once shouted at me because I threw a half-eaten humbug away out of the side of the bag. It was all like manky wrappers and there was a couple of humbugs in and some you took out and spat them back into the thing. and you went off it, you were like, why have you thrown your humbugs away? I was like, some of them had been partially digested.
32:31Because I was just keeping them. Disgusting. For later. You're an animal. Minging. I've just watched you there before we started, take some prawns out of the fridge and then just squeeze some mayonnaise and ketchup together and just eat some cold prawns, dip them in that. It's a prawn cocktail.
32:44Rosie Ramsey:What's the crap? You didn't put them in a plate. Oh, it's because I didn't prepare a meal to your standard. Some of us can just eat, you know, for eating's sake. Don't have to have a three-course flipping dinner every time we do. It slices a ham. Oh, shut up. Anyway, this is what I was going to say. So not that I'm slagging them off because I do like them. If they ever want to send us free stuff, I would be happier with that, right? Went to Apple shop today to get a cover for my phone because I haven't got a case for my phone because that broke because I'm a useless human being. Went to get a case, right?
33:16Rosie Ramsey:And I was looking, I was like, oh, the whole stand across one wall, all iPhone, what's the new one, 11? 11, I think. All iPhone 11 cases. I was like, all right, okay, we've got the new iPhone 11. And they just don't have any cases for any of their phones. Oh, yeah, that's it, yeah. You're a dinosaur. I went to the man. I was like, I've got an iPhone 10. Have you got any cases? He was like, what kind of shop is this? Do you know what I mean? I'm sorry. Even though it still works, it doesn't exist in our eyes anymore. Only this one does. Did he spit on you? No, I wanted to spit on him. But I just thought, this is the most ridiculous shop.
33:54Rosie Ramsey:and you know when big you know um pretty woman when they're like big mistake huge mistake i was like i would have spent good money in here buying a case 20 quid the more than that the more than that they're about 30 quid because the good ones that when you're bound when you've dropped them that's what i needed and i was i was so pissed off i was like oh what because i haven't got the iphone 11 what's it got a new camera fuck off did they all laugh at you did the wedgie on the way out for having the old phone. Do they call your names? No, why? It seems like that kind of thing. We've only got the...
34:26It goes on the Tano in the shop. Ladies and gentlemen, we've got an iPhone X user in.
34:30Rosie Ramsey:Ah! Loser! Keep slapping you in that and pulling your hair. I know, so strange. Shame. Shame. Shame. Shame. All the way down the street in Newcastle. And it's cracked. I mean, your phones are disgrace. I know. But as well, you know, someone was having a little lesson. I find that really weird. Yeah, when they go on and have lessons. Yeah, like there's about six people sat there with their laptops getting a lesson. I'm like, what are you doing, man? I mean, you can't find more stuff. Yeah, YouTube, you can find out more stuff, yeah. Would you go for a lesson? I was going to say, because on YouTube you get taught by a 12-year-old American guy or a 12-year-old Chinese kid and they're a little bit condescending.
35:10Especially if you're older, you might not want to be taught by a 12-year-old child. That's true. But the guys in the Apple store know better. I must have told you about the time my mate went in for an iPad case. I told you, didn't I? Did you have the right iPad?
35:21Rosie Ramsey:He went in for an iPad case. Shame, shame. He was like, can I have this iPad case? What's it like on or whatever? And the bloke just like ripped open the packet for this case, like a bear, just ripped it open. And my mate was like, mate, I didn't say I wanted it. I just want to know what it looked like. And the guy looked at me and went, mate, Apple's got more money in the bank than the American government. Wanker. Wow. Yet you see none of it. It's not your company, dickhead. Well, then that gets us onto a whole other thing. of why do people who work in a shop feel and act like they own the shop?
35:54Yeah, yeah. Like, seriously. Sometimes, not all of them, most people, but yeah, it's the ones who are dicks about it.
36:00Rosie Ramsey:Oh, my God. You're like, mate, this isn't your shop. You want Dave being cute. Stop being a wanker. Do you know when I worked at Dorothy Perkins and people used to nick stuff, I'd be a bit annoyed because I'd be like, oh, that is so bad and I hate thieves and whatever, but then I'd go to bed and I'd sleep because it's not. With all your jewellery on there, you're nicked. rattling away. Go to bed and I'd sleep in me Dorothy Perkins bloody puffer jacket that I stole. Bloody stole, I tell you what. Every shop I've worked in has rinsed me. Because I've just bought everything. Really? Staff discount.
36:35Rosie Ramsey:Oh mate, staff discount. I'd get me paycheck and I'd just spend it on shit from that shop. And I'd be like, I'm literally working here to spend it here? I got a store card in one of them where I worked. I got in a debt at me job. ridiculous absolutely it was River Island we'll not be paying you this week Rosie we'll just take a little chunk off your store card debt you actually owe us £300 Rosie oh no it's ridiculous no wonder you started nicking
37:09did I ever tell you I'm not going to name in shame but someone once on their Twitter I think they've changed it now but someone I know their Twitter their Twitter bio just said I read books oh no that's all it said it didn't yeah it did I was just like oh my god
37:26Rosie Ramsey:I read books but it was the like I always read it in the phrase in the way I'm saying it I always read it in this way I read books like that yeah like I read books not I read books so there was for me there was an invisible before it it was I read books oh I hate them oh god I actually don't like people who can sum up their full life in their Twitter biog. I hate it. It really winds us up. It's like, you know, husband, father, hiker, motorbike enthusiast, pizza lover. Fuck off, man. Really? That's it, is it? That's all of it in one go. Do you know what I hate? What? It's an Instagram thing. Right.
38:08Rosie Ramsey:They have emojis for every person that's in their family. Shit in bed. So it'll be like, mom, dad, child, child, child, baby, whatever. That'll be like a cat and a dog. Great. And you just want to be like, really? Really?
38:27While we're on it, people who just reply exclusively with GIFs and emojis, they can fuck off while we're at it.
38:33Rosie Ramsey:Why? Karen does it. Karen Hauer. I know you don't listen, Karen, my dance partner, because whenever I text Karen anything, I should get a GIF back of a cat. Anything. Literally like, oh, hey, I'm really sorry. I'm running late. I had to take the toilet nursery. should I be half an hour late for training? Just a gif of a cat. I quite like that though. I don't know what it even mean. I literally said it on a day, I said, how the fuck did you communicate before gifs? Ridiculous. I like a gif though. No, they're funny, but it's exclusive. Jason Cook does it as well. It's all I get back. I get no, I literally, sometimes I just reply, good chat.
39:02I might start doing it. Or don't, I can't take it. Honestly, you know me, I need attention. I need to know people that put the effort into speaking to us. Shock.
39:13I want to date with rewards, Carty says. Rawls? Rucker asks. This is the love story of real hinge couple Carti and Rucker. Written and read by me, Nicola Dynan. Listen to the free audiobook now.

41:06Rosie Ramsey:You've got us worried now. This email is titled, Rosie's date with porn star info update. Five exclamation marks. Oh, from when I went out with a porn star? Years ago, you said you went on a date. Episodes and episodes ago, you said that years ago, you'd went out on a date with a porn star. I did? Yeah, with a guy. So, here it is. Hi, Chris and Rosie. That's the correct way to put them in that order. Me and my partner. Is this him? Listen to this. Me and my partner love your podcast. We are regular listeners. So we listened to your podcast a while back in which Rosie stated she went on a date with a porn star and we'd be meaning to contact you.
41:40My partner was the only male Geordie porn star.
41:45Rosie Ramsey:What? Brackets. He's retired now as he is old and useless. Lol. And ironically, he is a guitarist. many people including myself have asked him if he went on a date with rosie he has no recollection of recollection of going on this date but it must have been him unless someone was pretending to be him so what so here's um do you have any info on where you guys went on the date or anything that can spark his memory as we are so eager to know uh simon yes
42:22It's in the biz No Oh Simon Brackets the porn star Has met Chris They did a gig together At the city hall Oh not
42:29Rosie Ramsey:Oh so he remembers you But he doesn't remember me It's in the biz
42:37Sunday for Sammy concert Simon was in the band
42:40Rosie Ramsey:Is this some sort of joke? But you The best bit is You did Sunday for Sammy When I did it I was there oh no I don't think he was there when I was there was he no yeah anyway love to hear your response his work twitter is still active and I went on it and Jesus I shouldn't have went on that on the train I slammed the laptop immediately porn I had a look on his twitter basically what I'm saying is Rosie I read these on the train and I did I saw his dick earlier on today more than I've seen yeah thank god so yeah so Katie and Simon you might remember this a little bit more so that's Katie emailing there yeah Was it him?
43:17Rosie Ramsey:Was it Simon? Yes, his name was Simon. And was his poor name Luke Hot Rod? I have no idea. I'm so extremely offended that he doesn't remember going on a date with me at all. No, he doesn't even remember you. Can you believe it? Right, so hang on though, because we went on a date, right? And then I saw him a few weeks later and he was like, I haven't heard from you. Why haven't you been in touch? And I said, because you do porn.
43:50Rosie Ramsey:but he still doesn't remember his no he doesn't no he's got no idea well that's great isn't it that says a lot to be fair in his profession in his profession to be fair he saw a lot of holes so he probably didn't remember you
44:10Rosie Ramsey:clearly in his game any hole is not a goal can I just say the only male Geordie points I know, that's tragic. That's the greatest sentence. Simon, I'm sorry, dude, but that is the fucking funniest sentence. Is that true? Yeah. So there's no other Geordie porn stars? No, I don't. I mean, I've never looked. But no, the only male Geordie porn star. I'm starting to regret not bagging him for myself now.
44:37Oh, Katie, thanks for being me. I'm laughing that much. I'm sweating. Katie, thank you.
44:42Rosie Ramsey:Hey, I'm glad he's happy though, guys. Congrats. well I mean I'm fuming but you know hello oh bless you let's do let's get in touch with all my last dates and see if they remember us probably not
45:01Rosie when I read the email when I read it that's really upsetting I honestly thought right I read the email and I thought this is going to go one of two ways when I tell this to Rosie she's like oh my god no let's not put that on the podcast that's terrible or and I was correct this was I was 80 % leaning towards the tosser doesn't remember me.
45:16Rosie Ramsey:I knew that would be your default. Well, can I just clarify, right? Not being funny. I was lush then as well. That's probably why he doesn't remember you. Why? Because I was lush. Because he probably thinks I can't be the same woman. A 45-year-old podcaster who's let herself go can't be that same last time. We're now with. The rosie I remember was lush. Oh, well. You're still lush. You're gorgeous. Foxy. Hi Rosie and Chris So I thought I would raise something with you To ponder on My mate, newly single Has been doing a lot of booking Fantastic Recently, love that term Rosie Good for you pet Get your book on love Stay safe Obviously Recently one chap the morning after Took hold of her face Opened her mouth And spat on it Shut up she was like what the actual no way F-U-C-K and he was like yeah but it was sexy wasn't it she told us and we were like no what do you think sorry and that's from Sam sorry so they've been having you know relations the next morning the wake up he rolls over first of all he's a stranger second of all he's got morning breath oh spouting that day A morning breath.
46:41Opened her mouth and spat. He's spat in it. This man should be in prison. I know, actually. That's the worst thing I've ever heard.
46:46Rosie Ramsey:What if he's like, that's really dangerous. That's the pits. You're really effective. Well, you know me, I'm a clean freak. I don't like a bit of morning breath. Imagine someone spitting in your mouth just as you've woke up. That's the worst. Morning has broke. Like the first. That is the, honestly. But he thought it was sexy. What did she say after that is what I was going to say. what she says but obviously she told her friends and they were like that is not how do you go on about your day after that i mean i'd be straight down the clinic i'll tell you that spot here now well you wouldn't have to be because if they'd kissed then it's the same kind of thing on a smaller scale but that is disgusting do you think you got like a do you think you just went or do you think you went from the sounds of it i think you went oh bits of last night's kebab Bullseye.
47:35Sorry, everyone. Sorry, that's terrible. Oh, I feel ill.
47:40Rosie Ramsey:I think she should go to the police. Sorry about that. It's not very nice, is it? That's minging. It's interesting though. There's no question with that. Great. Well, thanks for that. Mrs. Lunatic. Thanks, Sal. From North West, though, North East, bone and bread. I bet you that isn't even a friend. I bet you that's the bloke just trying to see what... Do you think? Yeah, just trying to make us go, oh, yeah, that is sexy. Guess what, dude? It's not sexy. It's the worst. It's not okay, don't do that. If it was up to me, if I was the judge on this case, I would confiscate your saliva glands so you could never spit again.
48:10Rosie Ramsey:Do you know what this is? What? This is the new generation, the porn generation. Oh, yeah, yeah. That's that. Yeah, minging. We watched a programme about it, didn't we, where youngsters nowadays, because they watch so much porn because it's just, you can get it anyway, they think that the way the porn stars have sex is like how to have sex. So he, oh my God, I bet he's like 20 years old or something, and he's just thought, I'm going to spit in her mouth when she wakes up and she's going to think it's been. That's the most revolting thing in the world. I know. But they do that on porn. Oh, God.
48:39I mean, I turn it off when they do stuff like that. I've got to be honest with you. Excuse me? What? Oh, when I used to watch it before I was married. Good save, Chris. No, honestly, I'm worried for that. Horrible. Feet. Get the feet out. Get that off now. Close window. Open another private tab. Close window. Horrible.
49:00Rosie Ramsey:Not good. Ming-as. But that's what they do, and that's what girls and boys of this generation think that is. We have young listeners. Let's tell them now. Listen, porn sex is great as long as the other person is consenting. Yeah, consenting. 100 % up for it. Okay. But that's not the way it's going on. Don't wake someone up by spitting in their mouth. No. That's up there with a driving instructor how you know where there's original in your garb on the sly. Just as bad. I mean, it's not. I mean, if he spat in their mouth, it would have crashed the car. Imagine if I'd just ratten a mouth. I haven't got any more worders, but can you taste my last word?
49:39Rosie Ramsey:Yeah, don't do it. Missionary. Start off with missionary and see how you get on. It's true, though, isn't it? I'd hate to be young, though. Oh, I couldn't be arsed. I couldn't be arsed. Bab-a-do-ba-ba-do-ba-ba-do-ba. Well, I hope you thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed that. Like I say, I am going to listen to this one back. just to hear the juxtaposition of how dog shit we sound now and how good we sounded then. Or maybe we don't, I don't know. Just two young naive kids just not knowing what's going on. You are barely in the bloody industry, love. I know. Eh, naive much? There, there it is. There it is.
