0:33Natalie Joy:As a proud auntie to the newly one-year-old Miss Mo, I take my role very seriously. I may not be responsible for keeping her alive, but I am responsible for being her favorite and gifting her amazing pajamas. And here's the thing. If there's anything I know about Miss Mo and other babies in general, if they're uncomfortable, they will let you know. And that's why I and my sister and Miss Mo are obsessed with little sleepies. First, the fabric. It's so soft, I literally want to wear it myself. They're also designed with thoughtful little details that make getting dressed easier instead of a full contact sport.
1:09Natalie Joy:You're welcome, Audrey. Also, their pieces grow with your kid, which is huge. Because every time I see Miss Mo, she's somehow a completely different size? Little sleepies actually last, so you're not replacing everything every five minutes. Which, as someone who buys the cute stuff, I deeply appreciate. If you're expecting or dressing little ones, check out Little Sleepies. You can visit littlesleepies.com and use promo code goodnight for 10 % off your first order. Need help getting dressed some days or most days? Same. Thankfully, Armour is here to help make getting dressed easy. With a clothing rental membership from Armour, you can build the perfect wardrobe with brands that are high quality, unique, and recommended just for you.
1:50Natalie Joy:All you have to do is take a five-minute style quiz and select items from your dynamic, personalized closet. The styles show up at your door in as little as two days. Then when you're ready for new clothes, just swap them out for new to you styles. We've all been there. You open your closet and even though it's packed, you feel like you have nothing to wear and no time to choose an outfit because you're busy being a mom, a girl boss, or running a business that you're passionate about. Our more is here to change that. You can rent high quality designer clothing for any occasion, all tailored to your personal style.
2:20Natalie Joy:Whether you need a chic work outfit, a cute event or wedding guest dress, or the perfect look for an important meeting, you'll always have fresh styles at your fingertips with Armoire. No laundry required. Did I mention that Armoire is also women-founded and women-led? They spotlight women-owned designers on their website, so I know I'm wearing brands that are truly for the girlies. Right now, our listeners can give Armoire a try and get up to 60 % off their first month. That's up to$150 off. Just visit armoire.style.snark. That is armoire.style.snark to get up to 60 % off your first month and never worry about what to wear again.

3:04Kelsea Ballerini:Hi guys. Welcome back to Snarkbait. It's another Dark Energy Tuesday. I'm Sophie. i'm christy how's it going today sophie not well bitch not well you guys it we were supposed to
3:17Natalie Joy:start recording at 9 a.m pacific it's now 9 46 um we've had quite the morning we've just had
3:22Kelsea Ballerini:some technical difficulties and my sweet angel of a husband henry was trying to help and i was on facetime with christy as we were trying to like figure out what the issue was with you guessed it the fucking camera it's always the fucking camera it always comes back to the camera
3:37Natalie Joy:It always comes back to the camera.
3:39Kelsea Ballerini:And he was trying to help. And I am on FaceTime with Christy. And I go, what did I say, Christy?
3:45Natalie Joy:Out of the way, out of the way, out of the way, get out of my way. And I was like, get out of my way.
3:51Kelsea Ballerini:Christy was just on FaceTime being like, I didn't know what to say. And like Henry was trying to be so helpful. And he ended up fixing it.
3:58Natalie Joy:Yeah. He ended up fixing it. Yeah, it was like such a seemingly a very easy issue to solve. But when you're in it, like we are day to day, we just think we know exactly how these devices work. So it just, we're not technical production people. We're just, well, us.
4:16Kelsea Ballerini:Just us being, well, us. So yeah, just an interesting, interesting start to our recording. But we're here, we're back, and I am very excited to be here. And in terms of housekeeping, we have a very exciting Patreon episode that we actually recorded yesterday. And it was really fun. It was all about the Pussy Posse of the 90s, aka Leonardo DiCaprio, Tobey Maguire, their disgusting brothers, basically.
4:48Chase Stokes:And it was really interesting.
4:51Kelsea Ballerini:So highly recommend joining the Patreon if you're interested. I also want to say that I was talking about the Rat Pack. I was like, yeah, the Rat Pack of the 80s. I was thinking of the Brat Pack of the 80s. The Rat Pack was in the 60s with Frank Sinatra. So just a quick correction there. I was getting confused between the Rat Pack and the Brat Pack. And then the Wolf Pack is what the Pussy Posse calls themselves later on. It's just a lot of packs.
5:15Natalie Joy:This is such a niche reference. I don't know if you will know this reference. But when you said Brat Pack, there was this song in high school that I was obsessed with called the Brat Pack. And... Who by who? Hold on. Brat Pack song. The Rocket Summer. Okay, you guys. This is one of those like Motion City soundtrack, Panic at the Disco type bands. Oh, I love that. Like early 2000s. Owl City. Owl City, exactly. So it goes like, we're our own Brat Pack. Da-na-na-na.
5:45Kelsea Ballerini:Oh, I know what you're talking. Yes. Yes. Oh my God, yes. I love that song.
5:50Natalie Joy:Ignited a memory in me. And I remember that was always my MySpace song.
5:55Kelsea Ballerini:Oh, I know what I'm making. the um dark energy tuesday carousel song which by the way if you don't already follow us on
6:01Natalie Joy:instagram it's shocking to me that you'll listen to us three times a week sometimes and you don't
6:06Kelsea Ballerini:know what sophie and i look like i love those comments we were talking about this last week or whatever week it was how people are like oh i didn't know what you looked like like our our uh videos will come across their like for you page or whatever and it's like oh i thought you were blonde yeah oh hi hey hey surprise surprise bitch don't you want to see these money makers I mean this is what this is why the advertisers pay us
6:29Natalie Joy:because look at how you guys were kidding obviously
6:31Kelsea Ballerini:this is the face for radio I have a face for radio but it's okay it's okay
6:37Natalie Joy:no no no no but for real the Pussy Posse Patreon episode that we recorded yesterday that may or may not have been my favorite recording we've done on Patreon to date it was very enlightening
6:47Kelsea Ballerini:I learned a lot about Leo honestly just doing the research for this episode oh my god
6:52Natalie Joy:it's salacious
6:54Kelsea Ballerini:you think you know everything
6:55Natalie Joy:about Leo. Oh, he was this womanizer. He still is. He dates women 25 and below. No, no, no, no. We're just scratching the surface of Leo. There are some assault allegations, arrests. There's a lot to unpack there. And I think his PR team is similar to Selena Gomez, astoundingly great at making sure any bad press is pushed under the rug.
7:16Kelsea Ballerini:Yep, exactly. So definitely give that a listen. As always, you can get our tour tickets at the link in our bio. We are so excited to see so many of you guys. And it's coming up, I guess. Our first show is May 15th in LA. So in just a couple of months, so excited for that. And anything else, Christy?
7:36Natalie Joy:No, I think we had a lot of Substack subscribers in our first wave and people are trickling in. So if you're sick and tired of us. Oh yeah, our Substack too. Yeah, if you're sick and tired of hearing from us on Tuesday, Thursdays, on the main patreon on wednesdays we can bother you again on friday sub stack.com slash at snarkbait pod we posted a lot of links on last week's sub stack so we've only had three publications to date so we have all the links of things that we love shows that we're loving things on the internet that made us cackle it's an incredible read so head on over there also in our show notes but without
8:08Kelsea Ballerini:further ado sophie shall we get into it yeah let's get into it i there's something on your list wait
8:14Natalie Joy:sorry what do you want to start with no no no please i want to hear it so natalie joy and nick
8:19Kelsea Ballerini:vile are pregnant with twins and no snark there very happy for them i know that nick is going to unlock um new levels of being insufferable as as a dad of three under three that will be him though for real guys it's going to be next level but happy for them i know that they have had some struggles. So no snark there, just the fact that Nick Vile is about to be even more insufferable than he already is. But Christy, you wrote this down about a little tiff back and forth between Natalie and the Autry sisters.
8:57Natalie Joy:Yes. So Natalie Joy was on the toast, I believe a couple of weeks ago. And for some context and background, you guys know I've been, I was an OG toast listener for years. I stopped listening around the Elon salute era. So I myself have not listened to this episode. But in the podcast episode, Jackie asks Natalie about her age difference with Nick, which naturally is a normal question considering they have a show on Netflix about age gap relationship. Subsequently, Natalie takes to her show, The Vile Files, and talks about how she was on a particular podcast and the host address the age gap between her and her husband and how offended Natalie was by those comments.
9:35Natalie Joy:And I was looking at both clips, like Jackie asking Natalie about the age gap between her and Nick and then Natalie like being so pissed about it on her show. The punishment is not worth the crime. Jackie Oshry did nothing up, did nothing to cause this kind of level of like, I don't know, vitriol from Natalie.
9:53Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah, yeah, yeah. So basically back when I think Claudia was on maternity leave, Natalie was co-hosting with Jackie and they were talking about the age gap. and Natalie said, you know, it's an 18-year age gap between Nick and Natalie.
10:06Chase Stokes:And Natalie was like, I was 21 and I think he was 37, I think.
10:10Kelsea Ballerini:That math obviously does not math. Jackie was like, okay.
Read the full transcript
10:15Natalie Joy:That doesn't add up. 21 plus 19 is 39.
10:20Kelsea Ballerini:18 would be 39. Oh, sorry.
10:24Natalie Joy:Do they have 18-year age gap? 18-year age gap.
10:27Kelsea Ballerini:Got it. Got it. Okay. I thought it was 19. Yeah. Yeah, and the longstanding rumor is that Natalie was 19 when they first started dating. And it seems like she is trying to jack up her age when she retells this, saying she's trying to add two years, but then she forgot to add two years to Nick's age, maybe because that's easier to fact check. I don't know. And Jackie and Claudia responded to the way that she was talking about this and acting like it was such a, you know, so rude. And Jackie was like, I didn't even, like, care. She was like, I didn't even like, I don't even like notice their age gap.
11:02Kelsea Ballerini:I don't care about them that much. It was like actually like funny how little Jackie was like playing into it.
11:08Natalie Joy:Yes. I loved that Jackie didn't let it bother her whatsoever. She's like, listen, I know. I think Jackie is smart enough with the internet to know that if she were to give in to responding to this allegation that Natalie made on her show, she would just be adding fuel to the fire. Jackie was like, genuinely, I do not care about their age gap. when I think about their relationship, they have a child, they have a beautiful family, they've done life together for nearly eight years. Who am I to judge the age gap? I don't care about that. But for Natalie to bring it up into the internet sphere and have people go back to the clip that was filmed weeks slash months ago, I'm not exactly sure.
11:44Natalie Joy:You're just being petty and you're trying to create drama between Loki, a friend of the pod, for what exactly? What is your end goal, Natalie, to bring up this conversation that happened a long time ago? And this is exactly what Natalie said when she said that Jackie was asking her to do fast math to compare their ages. She goes, how fucking dare you, first of all? That's rude. Give me a second to calculate it. I'm like, he was 37, I think. Now everyone's like, well, if I do the math, that means you were 19 years old. Well, I know I was 21. I was present in my body currently in that time period.
12:15Natalie Joy:She has such a chip on her shoulder.
12:17Kelsea Ballerini:She was definitely 19. I'm just going to say that she was definitely 19. I'm sorry. She was. she was um and that's that's the long-standing rumor is that she was literally a teenager and that's it obviously makes it a little bit creepier it might seem like not that big of a difference 19 versus 21 but it's creepy i'm sorry and i think they're trying to um you know i think they they got caught up in their own lies yeah they're trying to revise history and they keep mixing up
12:47Natalie Joy:their ages and their math you know what also bothers me as well as you and i being in the podcasting space and having our own friends in the podcasting space. It's one thing to talk about a podcaster that you don't know, right? But Jackie and Claudia have had a very long standing relationship with Nick Vile. I remember because I used to listen to the toast and they would sometimes record in his studio when they were in LA. Like they have a professional friendly relationship. So Natalie, if you had an issue with the way that Jackie seemingly called you out in your mind, why don't you address it privately?
13:18Natalie Joy:Like that's a friend of yours. So I think it's just to air out dirty laundry when you know what that's going to do on the internet. You're asking for drama. And I don't like that, given that they were friends before.
13:30Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah. And Natalie calling out anyone for being rude during an interview or podcast situation is so ironic.
13:38Chase Stokes:Given the fact
13:39Kelsea Ballerini:that she has so rich, she has still not acknowledged the Austin of it all. And now with her pregnancy announcement, which again, congratulations, very happy for them. She will not have to acknowledge it because now it's like she's pregnant pregnant with twins everyone be nice everyone be careful you can't be mad at her anymore it absolves her right in a way and they obviously knew that would happen as soon as they announced it they're like we don't have to acknowledge it because soon we're gonna announce that we're pregnant with twins and uh nick vile is going to be saying a lot of
14:08Natalie Joy:well as a twin dad and taking thirst traps with his newborn with his shirt off yep just like he
14:15Kelsea Ballerini:with river as a father of three under three i love this three i just think of danny book up four
14:21Natalie Joy:under four four under four i'm four under four i miss the valley too i'm ready for it to come back
14:27Kelsea Ballerini:i'm just annoyed i'm not watching the valley persian style yes i heard it's really good i heard it's good too but i never watched shawes of sunset so it's like do i need to go back and
14:36Natalie Joy:watch shawes of sunset i heard shawes of sunset is one of the best bravo reality shows of all time It never got its flowers, but it is incredible. And one of my girlfriends that's watching the Valley Persian style says, she's like, I don't know why you're sleeping on this.
14:49Kelsea Ballerini:Who's the guy, Reza? Oh. Reza, I found out, is a cousin of a guy I know. Fun fact. Oh. Fun fact that no one cares about. Yeah. Oh. Okay, okay, no. Oh. Oh. Huh. So, yeah, I feel like I need to watch Shaws of Sunset and then catch up on Valley Persian style. But speaking of Bravo, did you watch Southern Charm this week? Oh my God.
15:12Natalie Joy:No, I didn't. I had to catch up on Traders. And then last night I've been watching Hijack, which spoiler alert is my LEO object of the week. I'm loving the season. It's not as good as season one, but I sit on my couch and watch the latest episode, but please spoil me. Yes.
15:25Kelsea Ballerini:Okay. So you watched last week though, right? I'm caught up except the last one. Okay. So you're caught up with how Austin, the core four, Austin, Craig, Whitney, and Shep went out to dinner. Austin and Craig got in a blow up fight. But Craig is talking about Charlie, who is the newbie girl that he is courting at this time. They went on a date and he goes, yeah, but what if she falls in love with me? What do I do? How do I make sure that, you know, I don't break her heart? Basically saying that, you know, oh, like, is there a good way to go about this? Because what if she catches feelings and I don't feel the same way?
16:05Kelsea Ballerini:And what if she falls in love with me like what are you talking about first of all charlie is so out of his league
16:08Natalie Joy:i'm sorry she is um all of his past girlfriends have been far out of his league yeah exactly but
16:13Kelsea Ballerini:the audacity of him to say what if she falls in love with me and like you could tell that the guys at the table were like okay craig like relax they all rolled their eyes to the back of their head they were embarrassed that he said it yeah exactly like he's so fucking embarrassing and also he has so many shooters on the internet like so many women we knew this after the page and craig breakup how many middle-aged Southern charm Facebook moms fans or whatever are obsessed with Craig and defending everything he does.
16:41Natalie Joy:Yeah.
16:41Kelsea Ballerini:It's so annoying that he like gets away with this bullshit. But anyway, apparently Shep left that dinner and repeated this to Sally, which was messy because Sally is messy, but repeated it to Sally. And then Sally tells Charlie, like, she's like, oh, so apparently Craig is saying that you're going to fall in love with him. And He doesn't know how to like let you down easy.
17:05Natalie Joy:Sally was so excited. Sally was so excited to be messy.
17:08Kelsea Ballerini:And Sally, look, Sally is very messy and really embarrassing and cringy. She's like Sheena on steroids almost.
17:16Natalie Joy:Yeah, she's totally getting that response from the audience.
17:19Kelsea Ballerini:In this most recent episode, I can't wait for you to watch. She basically finds out that Austin is newly single. He broke up with Audrey and she is ecstatic. And she says, oh, Austin's looking so fucking sexy right now. Said no one ever.
17:31Natalie Joy:No, I saw that on Reddit, on like the Southern Charm Reddit. My jaw had to be picked up from the floor. I love Austin. I think he's a fun guy. Like, I would be friends with him. But, I mean, he's not. Come on. Yeah, like, he's not ugly. But he's just like a very objectively, like, just normal looking guy.
17:45Kelsea Ballerini:He's the Honda Civic of male attractiveness. Yeah. What was that guy's name? Alex from Summer House.
17:51Chase Stokes:So, anyway, Sally repeats this to Charlie.
17:55Kelsea Ballerini:It comes back to Craig. And then he completely gaslights everyone, lies to Charlie, lies to Sally. Craig saying that he never said that even though we saw it and I was waiting for the Bravo editors to run it back because he literally said it we watched it a week ago and also at that dinner the way that and I know that Austin is also an asshole and I'm curious like what you guys think in this fight maybe it's biased maybe I'm biased because I do not like Craig but the way that Craig goes so low where he's like you haven't done anything with your life and your life looks the exact same as it has five years ago.
18:28Kelsea Ballerini:Why is that relevant? That like, yeah, I mean, he's, Austin is unemployed and like doesn't, it's very, you know, it's a mystery what he actually does all day. Sure. But how is that relevant to your friendship? And that is such a like low thing to say.
18:42Natalie Joy:No, I'm so glad you're bringing this up, Sophie. I forgot to even mention that at that dinner
18:47Sophie:when he said, what have you done in the last five years? Your life looks exactly the same.
18:51Natalie Joy:And I literally, when I was watching, I go, how dare you? I actually vocally said that by myself because I was so disgusted by Craig clearly preying on what I assume to be an insecurity of Austin's. Yeah. And then shining that light to the entire audience that's watching. You are not a good friend. If someone said that to me, you would never see me again. Like, I would cut you off so quick. Oh, same. That is going below the belt. Below the belt. And that has nothing to do with your friendship or how he treats Craig. You're shooting him down. Completely below the belt. I'm getting, like, really shut right now.
19:23Natalie Joy:And the fact that. It's messed up.
19:24Kelsea Ballerini:I feel like on Twitter, I don't know about Reddit. I haven't really looked at this other term Reddit, but on Twitter at least, everyone is siding with Craig and they're saying Austin's so jealous of Craig's success. And it's like, no, he's not. He's just sick of Craig being a fucking bully to him. Remember at the reunion when everyone raised their hands and said they were scared of Craig? Like Craig is mean. He's a bully. Like I'm so sick of everyone defending him. And in this last episode, he's literally gaslighting Sally and Charlie. He's gaslighting everyone. Like we saw him say this. and it's just like so fucking annoying.
19:56Kelsea Ballerini:Also the way that he like weaponizes like therapy speak, he said something along the lines of, I feel triggered by being misrepresented. I feel triggered. Like he's like so just whiny and gaslighting and he's such a fucking asshole. Like I'm so sick of Craig and I don't understand why so many people in the Southern Charm audience are obsessed with him. I don't get it.
20:17Natalie Joy:When he's speaking of him using therapy talk, he said something in the last episode or I guess second to last episode where when you start thinking of everything in your life being your fault, everything will change. That is such a toxic cult-like thing to say. So God forbid something out of your control, some of the hardest difficulties in life are outside of your control. For you to reframe it like that is incredibly damaging. And I did not like that. I'm pretty sure he found that on like, remember that one? ChatGPT. His ChatGPT therapist.
20:45Kelsea Ballerini:Oh, yeah.
20:46Chase Stokes:He is such a, ugh. I know. He's so gross. I hate Craig.
20:50Kelsea Ballerini:um okay moving on from southern charm but staying on the tv track what did you think of the summer house premiere we did a live chat with the business runners on patreon it was so much fun i love our live chats and always like i spend the entire night cackling what did you think what were your
21:05Natalie Joy:thoughts in retrospect first of all carl's cowboy hat sophie posted on our instagram at snarkbait pod a picture from scary movie of the sheriff yeah the sheriff's hat just keeps growing you know Like that unlocked a core memory because I don't think I've seen that movie since I saw it in theaters as like a young child, which I had no business being in theater for that movie. But in any case, I've been laughing about that meme for days now. Like I'm not I'm not joking. I've been cackling about it, looking, looking back at it, going on TikTok, watching the clip. It's so funny. OK, number two, I cannot begin to say how much I despise Jesse Solomon.
21:40Natalie Joy:So I am not on East Coast time. So the thing, if you're watching Bravo live, it'll play at 8 p.m. Eastern and 8 p.m. Pacific. It's not like 8 p.m. Eastern, 5 p.m. Pacific. So when we were doing the live chat on Patreon, Sophie had me FaceTiming. And I was watching through the FaceTime. Every time Jessie came on the screen, Sophie could hear me visibly getting upset.
22:00Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah. I was so annoyed by him. I don't know what it is.
22:03Natalie Joy:I could queen out with Wes. I say it once. I'll say it again. I love that man.
22:07Kelsea Ballerini:I'm triggered by both of them, honestly. I don't like either of them, but I was sensing some tension between them.
22:14Natalie Joy:Honestly, did you sense this? I thought the fact that Wes drove with KJ, number one, and then Jesse bopped into the girls room to like be a part of the bedrock community. You're right. They're trying to separate themselves right now.
22:26Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah. And also the fact that KJ is apparently Wes's friend and Jesse was like, I don't. Yeah. And Jesse was like, I don't really know this guy. Like he, it doesn't seem like they're like connected in the same way. And also Jesse saying that he like didn't want to share a room with Wes, which is fair because like I would rather not share a room even if it was like my best, best, best friend. I want my own room no matter what. But like I don't know. It seems like there is some tension. It reminds me of when Lexi last season said that Jesse is jealous of Wes and how much the audience loves him and the followers.
22:58Kelsea Ballerini:And it's like this little like competition simmering between them.
23:02Natalie Joy:Yeah, I could definitely see that. and I'm curious how the Sierra storyline is going to pan out because the way that the teaser portrayed it was that Sierra's caught between this love triangle between West and Jessie and she may perhaps rekindle things with West. And I don't know. I am for her not dating either of them. Dare I say I would rather her date West because I feel like West at least has a job outside of this. Jessie just tries to be a male influencer. I think that's why I'm triggered by Jessie. One, he just seems like such a creep. two he left his really good job in investor relations to like be a reality star did you see his job title is musician yeah and now he's trying to like you know play concerts with his
23:43Kelsea Ballerini:speaking of the rat pack he thinks he's frank sinatra of the 21st century no he he really
23:50Natalie Joy:doesn't his voice is not good i don't know who told him that he had his good he has a good voice
23:53Kelsea Ballerini:it's like a normal voice um wait so you would rather sierra rekindle with west than jesse's I hope neither happens, but we are getting hints that there is going to be some rekindling of Sierra and West. I'm not ready for that. I need Sierra to date outside the summer house for one. Please, please.
24:11Natalie Joy:For someone who is as gorgeous, like probably the most gorgeous woman I think I've ever seen on my TV, maybe in life, she's so deeply insecure. Yeah. And I don't want her to be because she's all that. She's smart. She's pretty. She's cool, funny. You don't need to go for these like mediocre men.
24:28Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah. Like loser fuck boys. Yeah. I am liking the new girls so far, Bailey and Levi. Bailey mentioned that she had been dumped at a sweet green by a guy she was living with and cried on the first night, but I found it endearing. Levi was really quiet. But yeah, I think that they're, they seem fun. They seem cute. I did not really notice Paige or Lindsay's absence that much. I think that Lindsay is such a good anchor for the show. And I think that if I had to, if I had to choose between the two of them, I mean, this isn't surprising because I've always been a hub house lover, hub house apologist, uh, Lindsay Stan, I would say that Lindsay's absence, I felt a little bit more, but overall the episode I thought was strong without either of them.
25:11Natalie Joy:Yeah. I think that the show is at an interesting kind of like fork in the road where It's clear that the OG cast members, Amanda and Kyle, they're no longer together. Lindsay is part-time. Paige is no longer on the show. I think they're going to have to do some kind of reconciliation between how we want to take the show if we even want to continue it next summer.
25:31Kelsea Ballerini:Especially with the spinoff.
25:32Natalie Joy:Right, in the city or whatever. So I don't know. I definitely miss seasons four, season five of Summer House when it didn't feel so. So let's cast a bunch of influencers or people that want to be famous and put them in a house. The OG seasons just felt so much more realistic. And I just miss a bit of my old show. Like, I'm still going to watch it, obviously. But this feels a little bit, it's starting to feel a little bit disingenuous.
25:56Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah, I'm interested in seeing where they go with it. I would say that Kyle and Amanda are probably out. And Carl, honestly. But then Carl's not on the spinoff. So it's like, is this the end of Carl's reality TV career? Like, what are we going to do without Carl on our screens? How are we going to survive?
26:14Natalie Joy:Well, I think he's thinking about his future because he just started a podcast about recovery. Oh, yeah. More life.
26:19Kelsea Ballerini:More life. Unpopular opinion. I do miss Gabby, though. I always loved Gabby. I thought she was really fun and funny and stylish. So I am missing her. I think it's unfair that she wasn't asked back because she was always down to go out. She was always down to clown. Sense some chemistry between Australian Ben and Amanda, for sure.
26:37Natalie Joy:They're setting that up so hard for sure.
26:40Kelsea Ballerini:And the fact that Kyle, to remind everyone, Ben and her met at like a destination wedding and went skinny dipping together with like the bride and groom. It was with a group. It wasn't just them two. But they ended up like going in the pool again towards the end of this episode. And Amanda was wearing like a little like see-through bralette. And Kyle got mad that she was like quote unquote naked even though she wasn't. And I'm like, Kyle, how many times have you whipped your fucking dick out? you're literally always naked on this show no it's such a double standard i completely it's such a
27:10Natalie Joy:double standard he has no room to condemn her for that she was absolutely not yeah give me a break give me a fucking break kyle we've talked before about how one skin isn't just hype or fancy
27:24Kelsea Ballerini:packaging it's science the founding team of one skin started with a question and a dream

33:12Kelsea Ballerini:Okay, Christy, staying on the TV track, what did you think of the traders this week?
33:17Natalie Joy:I think that Candice was working for today. she was so hellbent on getting revenge for against Rob because she was pissed that he voted out but it's like Candace and these types of games you must think five steps ahead and I think when you look around Rob is the king of the castle he has almost a spell amongst all of his fellow all the other faithfuls and I think that when she murdered when Candace murdered Colton she thought she was like giving it to Rob like huh I got your best friend out of the game now you have no one and Rob was like dude do it because once you do that no one will suspect that I brought out my best friend in the game and I think that just shows that Candace is playing a game for today and she's not playing the game from a strategic perspective in five like five episodes from now and we must bring up the fact that Rob has pretty privilege yep they are so digmatized by him and
34:11Kelsea Ballerini:even though that Candace literally is serving Rob up on a silver platter saying this is clearly traitor on traitor crime. That's why I voted for Rob twice. They don't buy it because they love him. Like Kristen said, that sweet, sweet man, he couldn't be a traitor. He couldn't possibly be a traitor, which is just so funny. And I think that, yeah, he played it brilliantly the way that he let Candace murder Colt, knowing that it would make him look innocent. And also the fact that Colton's last words were, I'm suspicious of Candace, which Rob purposefully didn't tell Candace. she dug her own grave and I completely agree that she was playing way too emotional.
34:51Kelsea Ballerini:And this is why I said from the get go that I would rather her be a faithful because she is so biting and sharp and funny and witty. And I feel like we didn't get that from her as a traitor because she just like was so much more careful about what to say. And she wasn't very good at it, in my opinion. And I think obviously the Rob vote, the throw away vote, the throw away votes, The throwaway vote. The throwaway vote. I think the Rob vote was such a dumb move. I don't know why she did that. I think that instead of saying, oh, it was just a throwaway vote, but now I'm suspicious of him. She should have been like, I was suspicious of him.
35:29Kelsea Ballerini:That's why I voted for him. I'm still suspicious of him. But she like changed her. And then her argument at the roundtable against him made no sense. Like he was, Colton was his puppet. Like, what are you talking about? It just made Rob look better, honestly.
35:42Natalie Joy:She seemed like she was firing at the hip and there was no clear argument. And she kept bringing up the fact that Rob appeared flustered at breakfast that morning when upon finding out that Colton was banished. It's like that doesn't mean he's a traitor because he's flustered. Yeah. To the naked eye, he's flustered because his best friend in the house just left.
36:00Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah. And Candace was visibly not moved at all when Colton was murdered. Like I just I don't think that Candace was a good traitor. I think that she could have laid low a little bit. but she didn't really have any other, like I think she could have made it farther in the game by laying low and voting with the group, like voting for Natalie or going against Rinna, like Rob did. Rinna was a sinking ship. And by the way, Rinna would never sabotage her own game for Candace the way that Candace did for Rinna.
36:26Natalie Joy:One million, yes.
36:27Kelsea Ballerini:Rinna would run her over. A hundred percent.
36:30Natalie Joy:And why, do you think Candace was just trying to protect another traitor or another housewife? What was her MO? I think she didn't have,
36:36Kelsea Ballerini:she didn't have any allies in the house other than the traitor. She was like, the traitors are my allies. Whereas Rob had a really good social game and built all these relationships with so many of the other faithfuls. Candace didn't do that. She had no problem murdering or banishing people that could have been her allies. She thought the traitors were going to protect each other. And that's not how it works. And the fact that so many Housewives fans are so upset at Rob. And it's like, it's called the traitors. Oh, I'm loving it. You're supposed to be treacherous.
37:07Natalie Joy:Right. I'm a Housewives fan. And I think Lisa Rinna is an absolute who I think Candace is stunning and smart and cool. But like you have to respect the game that Rob is playing. And it doesn't hurt that he's like incredibly nice to look at.
37:19Kelsea Ballerini:Yep. Every time he's on my screen, I'm just kicking my feet. I'm like, oh, he's so hot. I know. Well, the pretty privilege thing is real. Like it is. I'm sorry. They're just all enamored by him. They're all, like I said, digmatized. So that is certainly working in his favor. And I don't see any other faithfuls getting like any sort of hero at it. I think that it's very clear they're setting it up that Rob is going to win, which he should, honestly, at this point.
37:42Natalie Joy:He deserves it. He's playing a really great game. And I just have to say that Eric being named as the traitor is so funny to me because he is so confident in everything that he's done thus far. And he's been wrong 100 % of the time.
37:55Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah. Magic ears. Magic eyes. He was like, I know that handwriting. It's Johnny. It's like chicken. It's chicken scratch. Why would it be Johnny? Did you see that Johnny also posted like an Instagram? It was like gorgeous curses.
38:07Natalie Joy:yes and also uh eric posted on his instagram a picture of him on the pool table like pretending to like lay dead and he's like i'm so fucking bad at this game and tara's like i don't know how we're
38:18Kelsea Ballerini:still in here it's like tara because you suck at this game that's why you're still here that's always what happens it's always what happens all the smart strategic players are the first to go it leaves us with the dumb asses it gets a little i don't know this season to me okay i also sorry I'm like all over the place. Christine, I actually had to rerecord the segment multiple times because we kept forgetting to press record. Just to give you a little peek behind the credits. Dumb and dumber allegations are never going away. Never beating them. Dumb and dumber. I think that Eric recruitment is smart because he needs to serve up a guy.
38:50Kelsea Ballerini:He's going to stab Eric in the back because they know that there has to be a man in the turret. There's been Rinna, Candace, Donna Kelsey. They're like, there has to be a guy up there. Right. Who is the guy? So he's going to turn around and backstab Eric, which I think is really smart.
39:02Natalie Joy:Wait, why do you think he wouldn't have chosen Steven if that were the case? Because all the eyes are kind of on Steven, not really lightly on Steven. Do you think there's a reason why?
39:10Kelsea Ballerini:I don't know. That's a good question. I don't know. Yeah, I think any of the guys, honestly, he just needed to pick a guy, any guy. But I think that this season of The Traitors, I am, I don't know, like it's fun. I like it. but I think that there's a big problem with the fact that all of these celebrities, you come in with preconceived notions of all of them, the contestants do, I mean. So it's like Rinna was suspicious because she wasn't acting like Rinna. And Rob Sesternino is known for being a strategic mastermind on Survivor, so he's got to go. It's like, I don't know, I'm partial to UK traders with average people.
39:51Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah, yeah, yeah. because you come in with no preconceived notions no biases and I know that they're doing a U.S. traders my cousin has already applied Christy is working on applying right now yeah I would
40:03Natalie Joy:absolutely love it I'm gonna film my well by the time this airs I will have filmed it the other day
40:07Kelsea Ballerini:but I'm really excited I'm so excited hopefully you get it everyone pray for Christy that she gets the traders um but yeah I mean I am sad about Candace because I love Candace I am a Real Housewives of the Potomac fan. I think that she is super, super entertaining. I just, she wasn't a good trader.
40:26Natalie Joy:Yeah.
40:27Kelsea Ballerini:And like all of the Housewives fans that are like all mad at Rob, I'm sorry, this is the game. It's the traders. Yeah.
40:34Natalie Joy:Rob has every single person in that castle at his fingertips.
40:37Kelsea Ballerini:Rats around his finger. Yeah.
40:40Natalie Joy:It must be so nice. It's a perfect cocktail, hot and sweet and strategic. Like he's going to bring this one home for sure.
40:46Kelsea Ballerini:yeah there's no way there's no way he doesn't end up winning and Candace based on their social media interactions Candace is still holding the grudge against her I saw that I think is silly
40:56Natalie Joy:like it's a game it's a game Candace he even said that he's like this is it's a game we're playing as a player I don't feel bad yeah this is a game I want to win the money okay can we please please talk about the fact that on Friday February 6th Kelsey Ballerini and Chase Stokes have finally broken up. And I have to call out a couple of timestamps that I found were interesting. So a week and a half ago at the Grammys, Kelsey Ballerini did an interview on the red carpet, and they asked about her relationship with Chase. And she goes, you know what? I love love. And Chase and I have done a lot of life together.
41:29Natalie Joy:And I'm just, I'm really happy right now. That same night after the Grammys, Madeline Klein posted an Instagram story of her and Kelsey together, just having their hands over their eyes, just like SMH, like facepalm. And Madeline Klein just mentioned Kelsey Ballerini in the story. At this time, Madeline Klein, now that she's no longer working on Outer Banks with her ex-boyfriend, weirdo Chase Stokes, also unfollowed Chase Stokes. Oh! Yes, that same night she posted this story. Wow!
41:57Kelsea Ballerini:Wow!
41:58Natalie Joy:And Kelsey Ballerini unfollowed Chase as well. So something must have gone down in those two-hour windows from that interview on the carpet with Kelsey and this interviewer to Madeline and hers conversation for them to have called it quits. at this point I'm fucking sick of it Chase gives me the biggest ick he's always giving me the biggest ick but at this point I'm side-eyeing Kelsey and I think she's weird now it's it's very
42:20Kelsea Ballerini:exhausting so do you see them were they at the Grammys together too they were at some red carpet together just recently and everyone was like oh my god Chase Stokes being boyfriend goals because he was like fluffing her skirt and like and standing up to the side I was like ew he's so performative weird he's so performative he's so weird he's so like socially awkward like he was just standing there. I'm like, yeah, of course he's just standing there. Like he doesn't know what to say because he's a weird, socially awkward loser.
42:44Natalie Joy:And he thinks he's so hot because like he's landed. He thinks he's so hot. He thinks he's so hot, but he's landed like 10 out of 10s. I just don't know why Kelsey keeps going back to him. At this point, I'm genuinely questioning her judgment. And the fact that she opened up on New Year's Day and said, you know, people are going to
43:01Sophie:say whatever they want, but we know our love and it's pure and it's, and there were rumors all on
43:06Natalie Joy:the internet saying that this is such a farce. She knows that she cannot trust him. She's taken him back because whatever reason she wanted to make it work. But in her heart of hearts, she knows that he is not her man. But she still went back two times to this weirdo and making a scene on Instagram, by the way, no one asked making an absolute scene.
43:22Kelsea Ballerini:And she was like,
43:23Natalie Joy:everyone keeps saying our narrative for us. No, no, no. This wouldn't be on any of our radars. If you don't if you guys don't continue to post this shit, it's weird. And it's creepy. And both them give me the ick now.
43:34Kelsea Ballerini:I know. I'm very much over it. Like, it's just exhausting. Please leave us out of this. If they need to, like, figure out their shit, I also understand, like, maybe it's a toxic relationship and Kelsey doesn't know how to, you know, let go of this toxic guy. I love how I'm just obviously we're assuming that Chase is the toxic one. Right. I mean, he is. He is. No, no, that's that. Like, work on it in private before you bring us into it. Right. Because some people are emotionally invested. Christy was very much emotionally invested. Now she's over it.
44:02Natalie Joy:Emotionally invested but from like a troll perspective not because i wanted them to work i was more like
44:06Kelsea Ballerini:kelsey we gotta get you out of here yeah yeah yeah like yes we need to save her so all i can
44:11Natalie Joy:say is i told you i so something was off from chase stokes from the very beginning when he posted those weird time stamp of twist fans saying how dare you talk about my baby sister she's family
44:20Kelsea Ballerini:yeah i literally oh my god i hate him i hate him so much i know i hate him okay the last thing i
44:26Natalie Joy:want to quickly touch on halle kaden reed's engagement did you see that sophia la cour posted on her TikTok trying to drive both of them. So she did it. It was like a quick video to a song in the background. It was like less than a 10 second video. And the song says he's a two timing losing cheater. Baby ain't no look ain't no looker either. I'm happy that you're happy. And then the caption says def not a looker and he wanted to split the bill. I feel like at this point it's been years. Sophia LaCour, please stop talking about it.
44:55Kelsea Ballerini:And that's really embarrassing.
44:56Natalie Joy:The video didn't even do well. It had like less than 2 ,000 likes and over 100 ,000 views.
45:01Kelsea Ballerini:And for context, if you're lost, Sophia LaCorte was the girl that went on a couple dates with Reed when him and Hallie broke up and was really shady about it. Right.
45:13Natalie Joy:And yeah, Sophia allegedly asked Reed out on a date right after he and Hallie broke up. We did a whole episode on Hallie, Kate, and Jazz in one of our Watch the Snark episodes. You guys can head on over there if you want more information. but I do feel like Sophia LaCord is messy. It's not even the right word for it. It's more just like you're being so shameless and petty. And these people are starting a life together. Now there's families involved. They're planning a wedding, like get over yourself. I feel like this is such an attempt to just get clout and clickbait.
45:42Kelsea Ballerini:And it makes her look bitter. Like it doesn't make her look good. Like it makes, it makes her look bitter. There's nothing cute or funny or endearing about it. It's just embarrassing for her.
45:53Natalie Joy:And I don't like how the song says that he, baby, he ate no looker either. I'm sorry. First of all, that's kind of rude to make fun of his looks. And number two, didn't you ask him out on a date?
46:03Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah, like you thought he was a looker when you literally DMed him first and asked him out.
46:08Natalie Joy:So your word kind of isn't really reliable. I don't know. She is so weird. She's such a weird person. She is a weird person.
46:15Chase Stokes:What a weirdo. Is there any better feeling in the entire world than getting into a clean bed after an amazing relaxing night shower and turning on old roni? No. And as I've gotten older, I've realized luxury bedding is something you truly don't appreciate until you sleep in it. But like, who has the money to spurge on bedding in this economy? 48:35Kelsea Ballerini:After years of really not caring about my health as much as I should, One of my goals this year is to finally change that. Part of that is getting older. I won't say exactly how old I am, but let's just say I'm at the age where it's really starting to matter how I treat my body and my brain health. And I know plenty of you millennial baby snarks are probably having similar aha moments. That's why I'm so excited that I've discovered Function. It's the only health platform that gives you access to over 160 biomarkers, covering everything from hormones and metabolism to heart health, inflammation, stress markers, and toxins.
49:07Kelsea Ballerini:You can even add MRI and chest CT imaging. and it's all tracked in one secure place. It's the kind of comprehensive view of your health that most people never get access to. There's a reason function is backed by top US doctors like neuroscientist Dr. Andrew Huberman and cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Jeremy London. I definitely feel like my memory and my neurons aren't as sharp as they used to be. And function of health has taught me what's happening in your brain reflects what's happening across your entire body. Things like inflammation, blood sugar regulation, nutrient levels, sleep quality, vascular health, all influence how your brain performs today and over time.
49:39Kelsea Ballerini:So if you're not measuring those systems, you're guessing. So stop guessing what's going on with your body and mind and start actually measuring. 50:22Christy:Your cabana's ready. Would you like fresh towels?
50:24Nick Viall:It matters where you stay. Book now at Hilton.com. Hilton, for this day.
50:33Natalie Joy:um okay should we talk about our deos and leos yes so my deo of this week is waking up with frizzy hair i feel like as i've gotten older my hair has just like gone in every which way of direction and you talked about your cowlick a couple of episodes ago there's certain parts of my hair that just get so frizzy and i feel like i used to be such a straight-haired girl and it's so i don't know what how to fix it when i wake up because i wash my hair every night i know this is kind of weird. I feel like.
51:02Kelsea Ballerini:Do you sleep on, do you sleep on wet hair? No, I don't.
51:04Natalie Joy:I don't.
51:04Kelsea Ballerini:I was going to say that might be your problem, but if you blow dry your hair, that's.
51:08Natalie Joy:It wakes up really frizzy and I just don't know what to do. You need to sleep.
51:12Kelsea Ballerini:You need to sleep with some sort of, um, hair mask or serum. I do, but I have like the Kera sauce.
51:19Natalie Joy:I will say everyone, everyone
51:20Kelsea Ballerini:who, oh, I, I got that too. I actually, it was, yeah, it was, it was my Sephora like gift and I love it ever since I got it. I got so many tips about sleeping in a bonnet after I talked about my cowlick and I haven't tried it yet because I just don't, I don't have a bonnet. I need to get one. And I feel like that's an amazing tip. I am excited to try that and see if it helps my cowlick situation. Maybe it'll help your frizz situation.
51:44Natalie Joy:A baby snark emailed us and said that she wanted to send us a bonnet.
51:47Kelsea Ballerini:Oh, I missed that. Okay. I need to, I need to go find that and and take her up on it because I really need a bonnet situation.
51:56Natalie Joy:Yeah. We'll shout out on the next episode. Sorry, we don't have your name available right now. But yeah, that's my DEO. What is yours?
52:01Kelsea Ballerini:Mine is, okay, so it snowed. There was a snowstorm like two weeks ago in New York, and the snow has still not melted because it's been freezing. Actually, today I think it feels like minus 13 outside. Jesus. So I do not want to go outside. Minus 13? Yeah. It's 10 degrees, feels like minus 13. So I will be staying inside for the rest of the day. but moral of the story is the snow has not melted and it's turned into this biohazardous brown muck that's covering every inch of New York City. And for some reason, dog owners, and I say this as a dog owner, dog owners are deciding not to pick up their dog's poop now because they're like, well, it's in the snow.
52:42Kelsea Ballerini:Who cares? I care. We all care. I would never, by the way. I think another problem is that dogs are peeing on the snow and that's just gonna happen like there's really nothing about that right so it's like the pee and the poop which is the main problem because people aren't picking up their poop it's brown it's disgusting it's just like it's literally a biohazard and it's everywhere it's everywhere and you cannot wear normal shoes out like you have to wear like clunk I actually linked my um the boots that I love that I've had for years now they're boots that have a really thick rubber sole. And they're cute.
53:17Kelsea Ballerini:Like, you know, they're also like snow boots, rain boots, but I love that these are like actually cute. So I can like wear them to work. And they just like look like real like cute boots and not just snow boots. They're like functional and like cute. They're functional, cute, good for work. Anyway, link those in the sub stack. But it's just fucking disgusting. I'm so sick of it. I'm so ready for the snow to melt. And I'm just ready for winter to be over at this point.
53:40Natalie Joy:Yeah, I wish I could contribute more to that but I that sounds disgusting yeah you wouldn't you wouldn't understand yeah I'm like
53:46Kelsea Ballerini:it's it's almost too hot here it's 88 but oh please oh please don't rub it in okay so my light
53:53Natalie Joy:energy object I already brought up hijack season two at the top of the episode wait can I also add to that hijack season two yeah I'm not loving this season you know what I think that the first and second episode were pretty good three and four I feel like they need to get a move on it Like it's definitely not as good as season one.
54:09Kelsea Ballerini:Yeah, it's not. Okay, so the plot of season one, you guys, if you didn't watch Hijack, you need to, is that a plane gets hijacked with Idris Elba, Sam Nelson on it. And he, you can imagine, saves the day. And then this season is so different where it's a train. But like, not to spoil it, Sam is the one hijacking for some moral, righteous reason. But we can't exactly kind of know the reason. But it's like, why are you doing all of this? Like it just like, it doesn't make sense. And it's moving so slowly.
54:36Natalie Joy:it is moving a lot slower but i think it's still it's still a thrilling like suspenseful watch but i agree like when it comes to comparing it with season one there's no comparison season one is arguably one of my favorite shows of all time because of the way that it keeps you at the edge of your seat like genuinely it's so so good in fact if you guys don't have apple tv i would implore you to just use the free trial simply to watch season one of hijack because it's that fucking good it is it really is um my second this isn't light energy it's more just content i've been consuming that I've been listening to, Root of Evil podcast.
55:08Natalie Joy:It's about the Black Dahlia murder and the alleged suspect who since died, George Hodel. Basically, his great-granddaughters are speaking on the abuse and the generational trauma at the hands of George Hodel, who allegedly killed the Black Dahlia. I've known about this case since I was a little girl. My dad grew up born and raised in LA, so he would tell me this growing up. So I've always kind of had a little bit of an obsession with this case, but you learn so much about this aspect and how I'm absolutely convinced that he did it. This is a heavy, heavy trigger warning. It's probably one of the most disturbing podcasts I've ever listened to because there's sexual assault, rape, incest.
55:48Natalie Joy:It's really dark, but if you're into true crime and you are familiar with the Black Dolly case, you learn a lot about everything to do with it.
55:56Kelsea Ballerini:I'm so mad he never got caught. I know.
55:58Natalie Joy:He is a horrible, disgusting person and I can't even speak about it because it'll trigger it's it's too triggering to talk about it but if you guys are interested in the case it's content that I found to be
56:08Kelsea Ballerini:not light but interesting wow I I don't know if I'm mentally prepared for that one but I do like a good true crime podcast so um my leos are also content that I've been consuming first of all industry good on hbo I don't know why it took me so long but I've binged all three and a half seasons I'm caught up in like two weeks basically I'm obsessed it gives Succession vibes I was like I know I'm gonna like this show right because it's HBO I love Succession I love Veep it's definitely not like a comedy like Veep but it's very similar tone to Succession it has those funny moments the really sharp writing the insults the really kind of like purple dialogue where you're like you're saying a lot of words yeah like I don't even know what's going on half the time honestly because it's like finance world and they're talking about like shorting the stock market.
56:57Kelsea Ballerini:And it's so funny because it's like, it's in London and it's about like London finance. I'm like, Henry, you would never survive the cutthroat world of London finance. But could they survive New York finance? Yeah. He was like, they couldn't survive New York. First of all, second of all, all they do is like have sex and do coke in the bathroom stall at work. He was like, when do they actually get work done? And I'm like, that's a good question. But yeah, that's, it's very X-rated. Don't watch it with like your in-laws. I actually, one of my friends I was talking about she's like I was told it was good and then I watched it with my in-laws first episode I was like why would you do that my babe uh my lover Max Minghella's in it so I might have to check it out he's he's in it this season he's a very interesting character now I'm annoyed because I'm all caught up I'm like I want to keep binging it I was just binging it and I like wasn't left with any cliffhangers now I'm like at the point where I'm like I need more I'm obsessed you guys it took me way too long to watch it um wait speaking of Max Minghella really
57:53Natalie Joy:quick did you say he's dating someone new i'm like i should have shot my shot when i met him in london um who's he dating she is like an actress model she's like a little younger people kind of give him shit because he dated l fanning when he was in his 30s and i think l fanning was
58:07Kelsea Ballerini:like 19 or 20 like very young okay nick vile no yeah it's a little gross he's now i think 41 but
58:14Natalie Joy:his girlfriend i believe is like 28 they were seen on the carpet together recently but if you guys don't know, I met him when I was in my sister's neighborhood in LA, I mean, LA in London. He was so nice and like so beautiful.
58:26Kelsea Ballerini:And he's British, right?
58:28Natalie Joy:He's British. Yeah. He's, he's actually
58:29Kelsea Ballerini:like a quarter of Chinese, which it's funny because he, he plays an American on the show. Oh really? The show takes place in London. He, he plays an expat American.
58:38Natalie Joy:Oh, I love that. Yeah. His, his American accent in Handmaid's Tale is actually very convincing as well. So yeah.
58:43Kelsea Ballerini:Oh, he's great. He's, he's very, I'd never watch Handmaid's Tale. So this is, I think like my first besides social network he was in social network yeah oh he was friends with the um i was about to
58:54Natalie Joy:say the work is twins the whistle boss twins the work is the work is circus the work is circus um
59:00Kelsea Ballerini:okay sorry my other light energy object speaking of like british things harry potter okay this is another i'm a late adopter yeah yeah i'm 25 years too late i know okay so i read the first five books when i was younger and i watched the first five movies and then after that i just like i was like you know, I can't be bothered. I didn't read the books. You know, I didn't really know what was going on anymore. I wasn't really a Potterhead. Henry and I, when the snow day happened, we were like, let's start a Harry Potter marathon. And we continued up until we finished, I think the eighth movie.
59:32Natalie Joy:Wow. It really was a marathon watch.
59:34Kelsea Ballerini:But not in one day. It was like over the course of like two weeks. So that's it was like industry, Harry Potter, industry, Harry Potter. And those movies hold up so good I'm a potter head now I can't believe that Daniel Radcliffe like never won an Oscar for that role he is so good as Harry Potter yeah and I feel like he's way more indie
59:53Natalie Joy:now he does like plays and like indie films yeah and he's a serious actor he does plays in London
59:59Kelsea Ballerini:and he's like serious but he was like really really really they got really lucky because you cast these child actors half the time they grow up and they can't fucking act but don't we talk about this with Emma Watson too Emma Watson she actually was like good as Hermione It's just other stuff that she's not. She was so cute. They were just like so adorable and they all did a really good job. I think Emma Watson was really good as Hermione. It's just in other movies like Little Women where I'm just like, what are you doing?
1:00:23Natalie Joy:Oh my god, I loved her in Little Women.
1:00:24Kelsea Ballerini:She was so bad.
1:00:26Natalie Joy:Little Women is like one of my favorite movies. That one with Tim Thee Chalamet.
1:00:30Kelsea Ballerini:Wait, you just sounded like you were about to do your Kristen Cavalier. Well, that's it.
1:00:34Natalie Joy:Little Women is so good.
1:00:37Kelsea Ballerini:I've been doing it too much. No, I'm telling you. It's my favorite. it she also was not good in beauty and the what do you mean live action she was so good i haven't seen beauty and the beat oh okay so yeah but watch it and you'll understand um but yeah those are my light energy objects i think that's that's it for the show today wow this took us a really long time to record behind the scenes because we had so many issues today but you know ending it with a smile after having a mental breakdown at one point i was yelling at my equipment christy was like did you say fuck you to me and i was like no i was talking to the camera at first i thought you were talking to henry i'm like i shouldn't i need to i need to lock off i was like oh my god i shouldn't be here
1:01:17Natalie Joy:for this fuck she'll fuck you sorry not you i was like henry no the camera silly you're so funny like i just i have to do the two sylvie voice what do you mean you guys christy was like she was
1:01:32Kelsea Ballerini:you know the third in our relationship um today the amount of the amount of uh drama that she witnessed over facetime me getting it's always me getting pissed at not being able to figure something out and henry being like okay let me try to like figure it out for you be calm henry
1:01:48Natalie Joy:out of the way out of the way i literally was like holding my desk like i'm scared what do i do they're fighting god they were actually fine she was just getting you know she was just like i was
1:02:01Kelsea Ballerini:just flustered at everything. I wasn't flustered at him. I was flustered at everything. It was a lot.
1:02:06Natalie Joy:It was an overstimulating environment. Overstimulated.
1:02:10Kelsea Ballerini:But anyway, guys, thanks for being here. We love you. Don't forget, really fun Patreon tomorrow, all about the Pussy Posse.
