In short

The Lindsay Clancy triple-homicide trial (postpartum psychosis/medical negligence theories and scrutiny of husband Patrick Clancy), plus lighter pop-culture snark about Caroline Calloway vs. the Celebrity Memoir Book Club/Good Noticing girls, and rumors involving “Saucy Baby” (Stassie Baby), Alix Earle, and Kylie Jenner.

Guest backgrounds

The episode is hosted by Christy and Sophie (no guest interviews in this transcript). They discuss the trial based on watching live coverage and court testimony; Sophie also references personal/medical familiarity and online commentary (e.g., Reddit).

Key claims

Clancy’s defense argues criminal responsibility hinges on whether she should be held liable given severe postpartum mental illness, extreme insomnia, suicidal/harm thoughts, and rapid medication changes. They allege the medical system failed her (telemedicine, no in-person psychosis diagnosis). They also raise doubts about Patrick’s timeline and credibility (body temperature 82°F, delayed 911 claim due to Wi‑Fi, Apple Watch call/geotag questions, stoicism, and CCTV shoe changes). They suggest possible earlier killing based on revived infant Callum’s timeline.

Notable examples

Medication cocktail (Seroquel, trazodone, Ativan, Valium, amitriptyline) prescribed within about a month; night-of events (calls to CVS/Pedialax, locked bedroom, window open, strangled children with exercise bands); Callum revived then later declared brain dead. Caroline Calloway is criticized for alleged racism/antisemitism and “weaponizing” an N-word controversy; Saucy Baby absence from Kylie’s birthday fuels yacht/“billionaire” rumors.

1:44hey everybody welcome back to another episode of snark bait i'm christy i'm sophie how's it going new setup looking great nance i'm still trying to figure out mine and it was my, I don't know. Okay, I'm sorry. No, you're, you're, you live in a New York City apartment. Like, that's different, you know, Nance? It's, it's pretty cramped. It's pretty cramped over here. So we, we do what we can. How, what was your weekend? Spent a lot of time with Miss Mo, but I have to admit, I have been totally, like, in it with this Lindsay Clancy case, and I definitely want to talk about it because I spent almost like an hour writing down my notes and I have a lot of thoughts and I know you're like lightly keeping up with it.

2:30I don't know if you've like dug in a little bit deeper since we talked about it on Saturday, but before we get into all that, Soph, how was your weekend? What did you do? It was very chill. I was feeling a little bit under the weather. So was Henry. So I watched a lot of movies. I watched all three Austin Powers movies, which classics, I can quote. I realized while watching them that like it's not normal that I can quote every single line because I grew up watching them and I was talking to my parents. I was like, why was I watching Austin Powers when I was three? Like, that's not normal. So all three Austin Powers, we watched 21 Jump Street and 22 Jump Street.

3:08Oh, my God. I love it. So good. Like, just like the funniest movies. I was just in the mood to giggle. And then also. You played saxophone at my sister's wedding. Yeah. And I fucked her, too. I keep saying Cynthia. We died for Cynthia. And then also started, actually started, I'm almost done with Sterling Point on Amazon Prime, which is so good. You guys, I highly recommend. I keep calling it Widow's Bay for tweens. So highly recommend. I'm, yeah, I basically was just on my ass all weekend. It was also like 90 degrees in the city. So I was like, I'm not in the mood to be outside. So yeah, we're experiencing a heat wave as well over here.

3:47It's not comfortable. My AC has been on full blast all weekend. Okay, can we just get into it? Because I need to talk about the Lindsay Clancy thing. In fact, I was just watching her trial live on ABC7. And they were cross examining her physician, her psychiatrist. Wait, do you want to just give background on this? Of course. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, of course. Okay, so this is obviously a huge trigger warning. And if you guys aren't familiar, I'm going to give you guys the background on the case. The case has been ongoing or the trial has been ongoing for the last two weeks. This homicide, triple homicide of a woman against her three small children happened in 2023, January 2023.

4:28And honestly, no one had really heard about the case until very recently because it's now undergoing trial. And I think the TLDR is that the case isn't about this mother, this woman, Lindsay Clancy, and whether or not she did or did not murder her children. The defense is saying that she did murder her children. Rather, the case is whether she should be held criminally responsible for the murder of her three kids. And I think as the case and the trial goes on week after week, it seems as if the public is realizing and Lindsay Clancy is realizing in real time, did her husband have a lot more to do with this than we anticipated initially?

5:04And you have to remember that if you guys aren't following the case, after she had murdered her three children, they found her in the snow and she sustained a great deal of injuries. She's now paralyzed from the waist down due to her injuries. And we're going to get into that. But I think that you have to keep in mind that she's being told what happened because I think the stress on her body physically and mentally, she has no recollection of what happened that night. So I think now it's a little amazing that we're all learning in real time with her. Nothing about her husband's story actually adds up.

5:37But before we get into it, Sophie, what do you know, if anything? Like, are you keeping up? Not too much? You know the top lines? I mean, there are obviously so many questions or there are so many conversations about postpartum psychosis when it comes to this. And also the husband. Like, we got to talk about the husband. There is a lot of suspicion on him. He remarried very quickly after this happened. He hasn't been emotional in court. It's also like the manner of death, I think, is very suspicious. It was strangulation. And yeah, there are so many things about it that I'm like, this isn't what it seems, in my opinion.

6:20Yes. What do you think? Yeah, I think that's exactly a succinct way to put it. Nothing is as it seems. Whatever we knew about two weeks prior to the trial starting, it seems like all that is being upended and everyone is questioning really everything. So to your point, Lindsay Clancy's mental health had been suffering severely. Oh, by the way, huge, huge trigger warning. We're talking about literal dead children. So if this is going to make you squeamish, we have approximate timestamps in the show notes so you can move on ahead. And we have some other fun topics that we're talking about. So, yeah.

6:51Yeah. It's not all going to be dark. Right, right. So Lindsay Clancy's mental health had been suffering severely in the year or two after her third child, Callan, was born. She expressed to her physician that she was experiencing extreme fatigue. At one point, she hadn't slept in nearly 48 hours. That was a huge part of her. I think her psychosis was just lack of sleep, insane insomnia. And she even expressed fear to her husband, Patrick Clancy, that voices were telling her to self-harm and harm her kids. And this also calls into question, like, if she was in such bad shape, Patrick Clancy even referred to her at one point as she was in rough shape.

7:29If she was in such rough shape, could he potentially have been negligent in leaving her home alone with these children that evening on January 24th, 2023? And we're just scratching the surface at this point. So the months leading up to her murder of the three children, she had been prescribed many, many drugs, many antipsychotics, many SSRIs. and you will hear in this case that many believe that the medical system had failed her. And I can attest to this just personally from knowing people in my life very close to me that have suffered really, really significant mental health issues. And more often than not, what will happen is you become a danger to yourself or to those around you.

8:11A 5150 will ensue. You're locked up in a hospital for 72 hours and then they release you. And then it all starts back up again. I have friends whose family members have sustained, like, have taken their life because the mental health system was not there for them. And I think in the case of Lindsay Clancy, this is an exact instance of this. When I was just watching her physician on cross-examination just a moment ago, Reddington, Clancy's attorney, who, by the way, people are saying he is a master class in how you cross-examine. He is brilliant the way that he's cross-examining all of the witnesses.

8:46He's calling into question really how efficacious and effective that this physician was for Lindsay because all of her appointments were via telemedicine. She had 13 different appointments. She had never seen her in person. She had just documented that she was experiencing postpartum anxiety, but not that she was actually experiencing postpartum psychosis. Like there were a lot of points in the medical system that failed her. And I think that's also a big point of discussion. Audrey, my sister, she's a pharmacist. she was like, whatever you say on the DET, just let everyone know that the hospital system and the mental health system completely failed her.

9:17Because I think all of this could have been very avoidable if she was taken seriously. But no, it's just like a crazy woman who's experiencing postpartum anxiety. So I guess her therapist and her, excuse me, her physicians had suspected that Lindsay had bipolar. So they prescribed her Seroquel, which, um, Seroquel, let me actually, it's an, yeah, it's an antipsychotic, which is typically used to treat schizophrenia, bipolar, and major depressive disorder. And they later upped Lindsay's dose because they said the therapeutic range for Seroquel was higher. And they kind of like used it for bipolar disease, but I don't think she was ever clinically diagnosed with bipolar or schizophrenia, but certainly depression.

10:00But doctors never deemed her psychotic, not in the days leading up to the homicide, not the night of, not the days leading after. Like she was never deemed psychotic in any medical documents. And then couple this with Callan, her youngest, not sleeping well and the drugs being shoved down her throat, her being like prescribed medication after medication. It's a recipe for disaster. And like Sophie and I have talked about this. Both of us are on SSRIs. And when you move drugs, like I remember at the beginning of this, when we started this show, you were moving off of Effexor into another drug. Your body needs a little bit of time to kind of Oh my God.

10:32Coming off of Effexor was the hardest thing I've ever done. It was harder than quitting nicotine for me. Yeah. Yeah. I remember even telling my therapist, I'm like, yeah, Effexor, my therapist had mentioned that Effexor to wean off of it is really intense for the patient. The physical symptoms are very, very, very intense. Like brain zaps, like you have never experienced nausea. It's horrible. Right. And so just to give you a little bit of an idea of what Lindsay Clancy had been prescribed, she had been prescribed Seroquel, Trazodone, which is a sleep adipopate, Ativan, which is an anti-anxiety medication, Valium, which is a benzodiazepine.

11:08Oh, my God. More Trazodone. They upped their dose of Trazodone within seven days from 50 milligrams to 150 milligrams. More Valium. They upped her dose from one milligram to two milligrams. And then she was

11:25prescribed Amitriptyline, which is a tricyclic antidepressant with strong, significant side effects and they upped her dose from 10 mils to 20 mils so just a cocktail yeah what a cocktail oh my god um i think even one of these is really um your body needs time to process it and by the way all these drugs were prescribed within a one month period between december 2022 and january 23 that is irresponsible i feel like you can't prescribe it's like nick vile getting the amount of tattoos that he got all at once. You need to just take it slow one at a time and see how your body reacts. That's not normal.

12:06Right. I remember when I was first prescribed my SSRI, my body felt really, I felt a little fuzzy, a little lightheaded, just a little bit dazed for about two weeks until my body finally equilibrized or whatever you want to call it. This is like five different drugs in a matter of four weeks. It's, I mean, you can't even understand what that into the brain, especially a woman who's postpartum. So interestingly enough, Lindsay had even checked herself into a hospital voluntarily for her mental health because she was suffering from suicidal ideation, harmful thoughts against herself and her children.

12:36So she's just not in sound mind in the weeks leading up to this triple homicide. I don't know about you guys, but with summer in full swing, I am on the move constantly. 16:45So let's get into the night. The night of January 24th, she had requested her husband to pick up takeout food from a nearby Mediterranean restaurant. It was like less than 15 minutes away from their home in Duxbury, Massachusetts. Lindsay had Apple mapped the distance from their home to this restaurant on her iPhone. She also requested Patrick to pick up Pedialax, which is like a kid Miralax at the CBS, also located three minutes away from their home. And according to Patrick, the husband, he had claimed that that day of January 24th, it was one of the best days that Lindsay had had in a while with herself, with the children.

17:19She seemed in really good spirits. And I think from his POV, he's likely trying to prove that or show the court that I had no idea she would harm the kids because we were having one of the greatest days in a while. So at around 5.15, before Patrick went to pick up the food and the PediaLax from CVS, he said that Dawson, who was their three-year-old son, was eating chicken nuggets in the kitchen and that Lindsay was holding Callum, their eight-month-old, at the top of the door by the basement stairs. Cora, their oldest, was not mentioned, but Cora was five years old at the time of death. So about a little over 15 minutes later, Patrick arrives at CVS and he calls Lindsay, asking about which medication.

17:58Remind me which medication I need to pick up. She doesn't answer. But less than one minute passes until she calls him right back, instructing him to purchase PD-LX. And according to Patrick, she seemed pretty preoccupied, but the call was brief. He's like, it lasted less than a minute. I could tell she was doing something else, but it was really fast. Be hung up. 5.54, he picks up the food from 3V, this Mediterranean. restaurant. 609, by the time he arrives home, the home is eerily quiet. And he's calling out for the kids. He's calling out for Lindsay to no avail. He runs to the kids' bedrooms.

18:32No one's in there. He goes to his shared bedroom with Lindsay, and the door was locked. So he knew something was severely wrong. So he runs to try and collect their spare key to unlock the bedroom door. He does so, and he opens the door, and he sees blood in and around their bedroom by the window. and he sees that the window was wide open. He looks down, and he sees that Lindsay had jumped from the second floor, and she is now in the snow. And he sees that there was a knife, and by the time he runs downstairs, examines her body, she attempted to take her life by cutting her wrists. She cut her neck.

19:10And people think that, you know, there's a lot of hesitation wounds on a body when someone tries to self-harm on their wrists. And they theorize, okay, if she was attempting to take her life, Perhaps she realized this isn't working. And she made the hasty decision to throw herself out the window. So he shakes her up and he's like, Lindsay, Lindsay, where are the kids? Where are the kids? And he claimed that she was well enough to respond. And that will come in later. He says that she was well enough to tell him the kids are in the basement. And at this point, by the time he had gone down to Lindsay, he had called paramedics.

19:46He had called 911. one. So by the time she tells him that the kids are in the basement, he's downstairs. The paramedics arrive by the time he's downstairs in the basement. And the paramedics, they're trying to offer assistance and aid to Lindsay, and they hear Patrick from downstairs scream. And they realize when they go downstairs to the basement to meet Patrick that the three kids have been strangled and they have exercise bands around their necks. Very disturbing. It was really, really horrific. I was listening to one of the EMTs that arrived first on the scene. He was the first officer to respond on the scene.

20:19There was no one else. And he said that it was just, obviously, everyone's very traumatized by this event. Because they see this poor woman who's in the snow, bodily harmed herself, and then they find three children strangled in the basement. Very heavy. Okay. So I want to get into why is Patrick Clancy being looked at in the court of public opinion? Because, again, Patrick Clancy is not on trial. Lindsay Clancy is. But Patrick Clancy is obviously a very key witness to this entire trial. So he's been on the stand for many a time. So I think one thing that people call into question is Lindsay Clancy's body temperature when she was found by paramedics.

20:59So when the paramedics arrived to the home, they took her body temperature. Her body temperature had dropped to 82 degrees Fahrenheit. Again, I was talking to my sister about this. She's worked in hospitals for years. She's like, I've never heard of that low of a body temperature ever. Yeah, that's like death. Yes. And normal body temperature, as we all know, typically is 98.6. And you also have to call into question, like, well, some people ask, how did her body temperature drop so significantly? Because you have to remember, he calls Lindsay at CVS and she was well at around 534. He gets home at 609.

21:34So that's about a 35-minute time window, right? How did her body temperature drop so significantly in that 35-minute time window? But what I've heard in Patrick's defense and medical professionals, you can weigh in. Apparently, as I mentioned at the top, Lindsay Clancy sustained a spinal injury that left her paralyzed from the waist down. People say that spinal injuries can cause a drop, a significant drop in body temperature, because there's a part of your spine that basically signals to the brain what temperature to regulate your body at. So if the spine was damaged, perhaps that caused such a significant drop in such a short amount of time to her body temperature.

22:11But at the same time, it kind of calls into question the timeline of events that Patrick is telling police. People are saying, well, if her body temperature reached such a significant drop, could it be possible that Patrick killed her much earlier in the night before he headed out to CVS or to the restaurant? Would that explain why her body temperature was so low upon paramedics arriving? Another thing, paramedics arrived and they said that Lindsay was completely non-responsive. She couldn't speak. She was like wailing and moaning out of pain. But there is no way, some say, how could she have succinctly told Patrick that the kids were located in the basement if she was in such rough shape and unable to respond to paramedics upon their arrival?

22:53Right. Patrick also claimed that it took a while for him to call 911 when he arrived at the home and found Lindsay because he claimed, quote, the Wi-Fi wasn't working great in our front yard where he discovered her. And a lot of people on Reddit, again, like take this with a grain of salt. A lot of people on Reddit have disputed this coming from first-hand accounts saying that Wi-Fi should be no week or no Wi-Fi should be no obstacle in being able to reach 911 for help. Some people were saying, quote, this Reddit user was like, I was a police dispatcher for 12 years in a city very comparable to Boston.

23:26911 will always go through on a phone, Wi-Fi or not. If it has power, it dials. They literally need a cop or dispatcher up there to say this, like on the sand. This timeline in the story tells me that he's lying. Another Reddit theory or person that weighed in on this comment was like, I've been in this exact situation where I had no Wi-Fi. There was a fire in my neighbor's home, like a cutout of the cords, but we were still able to reach authorities. there's also a lot of speculation as to when he called her from cbs determining what medication to pick up for the kids there's you'll hear this apple watch apple watch apple watch brought up in the trial by reddington lindsey's attorney people theorize that perhaps he was actually wearing or he had her apple watch on hand and he called himself from the cbs and at this point could he have already killed the kids and what's kind of brings a little bit of weight to this theory and why you can't necessarily say yes or no, because people would say, well, check the geotag.

24:19Like, where was the Apple Watch? Or where did it ping from when the call was made? People say that because the CVS that he went to from their home, it was only three minutes away. So if he did call his phone to the Apple Watch and he was holding both in each hand, it would have pinged the same tower. So it wouldn't be able to differentiate whether or not the call was received at the CVS or from the Duxbury home. Another thing about the Apple Watch is that they found her Apple Watch tucked away in a drawer in the bedroom. And they were like, that's really weird. She was always wearing the Apple Watch.

24:52Why would she strangle her kids, go upstairs, neatly place her Apple Watch in a bedroom, like, bureau drawer, and then cut her wrists and jump out of the window? That just seems like a very odd sequence of events to be happening. Another thing that I think is, like, two smoking guns to me is, this is like very disturbing, but Callum, the eight month old, he was revived. And paramedics do believe that Callum was the child that was killed last. So what happened was paramedics were actually able to get Callum's heart pumping again. I listened to the physician. Yeah. Yeah. I think I wrote Callum like Callum Turner.

25:31It's Callin, A-N. Callin. Okay. Yeah. So paramedics were actually able to get Callum's heart rate back up. But unfortunately, he had sustained such a lack of oxygen to the brain at that point that he was considered completely brain dead. And he died a few days later in the hospital. But this calls into question, how were paramedics even able to revive a baby that had been quote unquote dead for that long? If Lindsay did in fact kill Callan, that means the sequence of events had to have been as follows. She strangles him last. She goes upstairs to slit her wrists and her neck. She makes the decision to jump off the second floor because the bleeding wasn't killing her quickly enough.

26:12Patrick comes home. He searches for Lindsay, finds her and asks where the kids are, calls 911. 911 arrives. And after all that time, by the time paramedics come and they're able to revive Callen, like I read somewhere that it takes the maximum, the maximum amount of time for you to revive a child that has had a lack of oxygen for that long is 30 minutes. So it just seems like, it just calls into question the entire timeline, I guess. Like all that time had elapsed and you were able to revive Callan. It just doesn't really make a lot of sense. And again, I think you couple that with the fact that her body temperature had dropped so low.

26:49It's like, how long was she out there? It just makes people think that with her body temperature being so low, Callan being able to be revived. Could he have killed Lindsay much earlier and then killed Callan shortly before he had called paramedics? one other thing that I think was really chilling on cross-examination Reddington Lindsay's attorney showed pictures if he was trying to prove to the court that Lindsay was a very hands-on mother she was constantly posting about her kids which we know social media is not always the full picture but constantly posting about her kids constantly like doing arts and crafts with them she seemed to be very present Patrick on the other hand when Reddington would show him still photos of the kid's bedroom he would go whose bedroom is this and patrick would look at the photo and he'd go i think it was dawson's he doesn't even know like which bedroom is the kids it just shows it points to like a little bit maybe he just is traumatized but i don't know i just feel like you should be able to detect which bedroom is which kids if you're spending enough time in there what people are really talking about is the shoes have you seen this sophie the shoe thing Okay, so he went to run two errands, right?

28:03And this isn't like he was coming home from work and Lindsay texted him and said, hey, on your way home from work, can you pick up dinner and can you go to CVS to get PDLX? No, they were both chilling at home. I think this is very important. Patrick and Lindsay were both chilling at home with the three kids when Patrick left to run these errands. So the first time he's seen on CCTV is him entering the CVS and he's seen wearing work boots and a quarter zip jacket. Very clear. Brown work boots, black quarter zip. Then at the 3V restaurant, he seemed to be like, I think the jacket is a little bit more confusing to me.

28:34I don't know if he's still wearing that half zip, but the shoes are very different. He's wearing like Nike shoes. Why would you, again, it's not like you're coming home from work, you swing by CVS and then you change your shoes in the car. No, no, no. He was at home. He left to run two errands. Why are the shoes different in each of these shots? Right. Like very different shoes. Like why are you changing shoes? Yes. and lindsey clancy's attorneys people are saying this is a master class in defense cross-examination because he's making patrick he's watering down the reliability of patrick's accounts he even because i think a lot of people are saying why is patrick showing absolutely zero emotion when presented with photos of his children there's no wince there's no cry and honestly like i lost my dog at this point almost five years ago i can't even look at a picture of her without getting teared up.

29:26And it's been five years and it was my dog. That was like the biggest red flag to me, I feel like, was that he seemed so stoic. And also like there is a world where it's like maybe he took like Xanax or something and he just like was so, you know, he had to drug himself or whatever. But it is strange that there's such a lack of emotion from him during the trial. It is. I think it's just incredibly bizarre and not once. That's why it's so weird. It just seems very stoic. And Lindsay Clancy's attorney even told Patrick on sand, hey, we can always take a break if this becomes too much for you. And it was clear that he was just trying to make it a point that this is not too much for you and we can keep going for hours.

30:04Like I thought that was very, very subtle, but very effective by him making that statement. And to add insult to the injury, Patrick Clancy is now remarried. And there's a lot of, You'll hear all the time, four months he got remarried. That's not true. So Patrick, this happened in January of 2023, this homicide. Patrick Clancy reportedly moved to Manhattan in May 2023 in the Upper East Side, where his now wife lives. Apparently, he was dating and now married to a woman named Rachel Dennis, Dr. Rachel Dennis. They began dating in Feb 2024, so a year and a month after the homicide. They officially tied the knot just like five months ago, in April of 2026.

30:47and their relationship came out publicly three months later during this trial. And there's a lot of rumors that they've already had a kid together. I've heard that's been disputed. They actually do not have a kid together. But I think a lot of people are saying, why would he move so quickly to the Upper East Side in New York City, leaving his life in Duxbury? It just seems like he, did he know his wife during the time of the homicide? Could he have had a motive? I think just the timing at which he's moved on with this new woman calls into question just how reliable his testimony can be. And you'll also hear a thing about the email.

31:24He sent an email at 524 from his service pro. And people say he claims that maybe it was from his laptop. But they were like, okay, at 524 you sent an email from your laptop. That calls into question the entire timeline at which you were away from the house. because at 524, you should have already been gone from the house. But now you're saying you sent an email from your laptop. Yeah. But then he's like, no, it could have been my phone. So I think that people are also questioning that as well. Wow. Thank you for the rundown. I think that what's interesting is that I've seen a lot of people say even if he wasn't involved in the murders, he still is culpable because of the negligence in regards to his wife's mental health.

32:09Yes. And the fact that he was like leaving her alone, he was not taking things off her plate. He was leaving her alone with the kids. He was not helping with child care as much as he should have. And yeah, it's just it's obviously such a freaking sad case. It's very heavy to talk about. But I know it's been, you know, all over TikTok and everything the past few days. It's like my entire for you pages, people talking about this trial. um so yeah I don't know what to think but I am always going to be more inclined to side with the woman yeah and there are just so many red flags when it comes to the husband yeah I think that there's at this point again Patrick Clancy's not on trial it's just that we are seeing this sequence of events unfolding before our eyes and I think Lindsay honestly is seeing this sequence of events unfolding for her eyes with us she even had to ask when she was in the hospital and she woke up from her injuries, she had to ask what happened.

33:06Like, she doesn't remember. So from my theorization theory, she probably for the last three years has thought, this is what's happened. I killed my children. And she also could be told anything. She was so out of it, not only with her postpartum psychosis, but the cocktail drug she was on. She could have been told anything. Like, he could have been like, you did this. And she would have been like, oh, my God. Yeah, I guess I did. Yeah. I was thinking, like, if you and I one night, obviously this is a very different story, like, got super wasted one night. And I was like, Sophie, last night you ran around New York City fully nude.

33:43Like, everyone saw it. You'd be like, okay, I blacked out. Yeah, sure. Like, you just, you take these things sometimes as gospel without ever questioning it because it's, in her case, it's her husband. Like, why would you not? It's just, I don't know. It's really dark. Yeah. Curious what you guys think. Like, it's obviously like, you know, just such a ubiquitous trial right now. So I'm sure a lot of you guys are tuned in. But curious what you guys think if you are suspicious of the husband also. Let's switch gears to something a little lighter, a lot lighter. Yeah. The Caroline Calloway thing.

34:20Caroline Calloway versus the Celebrity Memoir Book Club girls and are good noticings now. And as you guys may or may not know, I'm a Caroline Calloway historian. I had no idea about that, by the way. Wait, you didn't? I feel like you mentioned this before. I've said it before. Like, to do a whole episode on her, it would have to be, like, an eight-part series. It's too much. Like, there is truly too much when it comes to Caroline Calloway that it's overwhelming to even think about doing a deep-dive episode on her. And she also is just, like, such a horrible person, would love the attention either way, that I don't even think it's worth it, honestly.

34:55Yeah, I know nothing about her, by the way. Oh, my God. See, okay, so Christy wrote down some notes. And then I, as a Caroline Calloway historian, was like, but here's my perspective as someone who has followed her antics since probably 20. It was the workshop scam. So 2018, 2019. I forgot exactly when that was, but it's been years and years and years now. And sorry if I'm looking at my phone. My computer Google Doc is not showing photos. So I am looking at my phone. But basically what happened was Caroline Calloway made a TikTok talking about Claire and Ashley, the celebrity memoir book club slash good noticings girls, calling them the fakest bitches in NYC.

35:35She said she ran into Claire at a bar and Claire like put her hand on her bare shoulder and said hi and like was really fake nice to her and complimented her outfit. But Caroline was, you know, very taken aback because she recorded an episode with them where they were being nice to her face, but then also like ripped into her during the episode. And then we're being fake to her offline. And she's like, it's not even because they're mean to me on their podcast. It's that they want to be my friend after the recording stops. Their whole thing is they hate people being fake. They just want the truth.

36:12It's so disingenuous. They have an exceptional ability to hate. And first of all, I remember listening to that Caroline Calloway CNBC episode forever ago, and I don't think they were ever like unfair. And also Caroline Calloway is fucking insane. So I really don't care what she says about Claire and Ashley. Say what you want about Claire and Ashley. I think there are lots of things to be said about them, but like I don't I think that anything Caroline Calloway says should be disregarded. So while she might have a point about Clashley being nice to her face and snarky slash mean about her on the Potter behind her back, I totally get why that's fake, annoying, frustrating.

36:55She has no leg to stand on because she's an insane, horrible human being. And everything she says should be disregarded. She also brought up Claire's old N-word tweets, which obviously really bad. Claire obviously addressed and apologized these long ago. and Caroline said, at least I have never said the N-word. When Caroline has a history of racist, anti-Semitic, insane, offensive remarks, it almost felt like she was weaponizing a slur slash Black people's pain to use against Claire. Also, Claire, before we get into Caroline's history of racism, Claire commented on Caroline's Instagram, her TikTok about this, her reel, whatever the fuck it was, and said, going on the record that exactly what happened and you saw me, said hi in a friendly way.

37:47I said hi back, gave you a compliment, and then you walked away. LOL. You then seemed to have a fine time all night. You were chatting. I don't know where this is coming from. Yeah. She's allowed to also be offended and then have a good time afterwards. I don't think that that's a good point. I don't think that Claire should have even commented, in my opinion. Yeah, yeah. I think, and again, I know nothing about Caroline Calloway's past, so these are helpful contexts for sure. I think that the TLDRs, both these people aren't angels either, sweetheart. I think when it comes to the CNBC girls, if you look at all the comments on this TikTok, it's just people have a lot of issues with them.

38:27And they have a lot of reputation, I would say, of being mean girls. and I just, again, I've never met them. I just hear what I hear from online and from people in my life. And I just feel like they bully people. And I think if that were the reputation going around about me, I would want to look inward and be like, wait. Wait, but people could say that about our podcast. But I don't think our reputation in the industry is that we are mean. Like, I don't think we're bullies. I don't know. I don't know. I don't, I honestly, like Claire and Ashley, like, I don't know them. And I'm sure that, you know, there are rumblings of how they are in real life or what their, you know, reputation is.

39:13I have no idea. I haven't really heard that much about them. I think I'm too in it. I think I'm too in it. I can feel one way about them. But regardless, Caroline Calloway is a piece of shit. So Caroline Calloway, while she says, at least I've never used the N-word, she said that she would dress up as Anne Frank for OnlyFans. What? Yeah. She also posted an anti-Semitic cartoon. If you scroll down to that photo, hashtag things rich people buy, Natalie's talent. And it's a very, very, very anti-Semitic cartoon. She also did an interview where she said, did you know I've looked into it research-wise?

39:50I've applied every ounce of the researching laser beam that Cambridge gives you as a result of three years to try and find an example of a girl who's 23 years old or younger when they published their first memoir. And I couldn't find a single example of one that had a positive life. Famous examples are Malala and the Dyer of Anne Frank. They literally had to survive the Holocaust and be shot and left for dead on a bus. That's what it takes to get a young girl a memoir. She said that Anne Frank survived the Holocaust. She also wrote a caption that says, I know we're in the middle of a story about moving to Cambridge, but my life continued post-Josh, and I now date a boy of the blonde super race that is Sweden.

40:25Racist. She posted a picture of Know My Name by Chanel Miller, the amazing memoir written by the victim of Brock Turner with the caption, I wonder if I were ever raped, if the defense would use my OnlyFans as proof that I was slutty or asking for it. If I were ever raped. She also posted a picture, a painting of a bat performing what looks like cunnilingus on a woman saying the first human case of the corona outbreak, but make it porn. And it looks like also an Asian woman, so racist. She also just recently posted a photo of herself from a recent health scare back to back with a post about Sydney Towle, the woman who unfortunately succumbed to her cancer battle just the other day.

41:11Yeah. Comparing herself to someone who died of cancer. So that's just the like top notes of everything horrible Caroline Calloway has said and done. So my point is disregard everything she says. I don't give a fuck what Claire and Ashley did or do or how they are. Caroline Calloway is a horrible person and no one should take anything she says seriously. Like, it actually makes me crazy that people are even, and I know that maybe people want a reason to, you know, hate on Claire or Ashley or confirm their already existing biases against Claire and Ashley. I don't know what it is. But the fact that people are taking anything Caroline says seriously drives me nuts.

41:59As someone who has watched her antics for so long now, she is a horrible person. Horrible. And I think that's, like you said, that's kind of how the internet works. It's like people will fixate on people that they really hate. And the second someone else starts like piling on them, you just want to get in on the action. You know, it's like, what's that mean girl's quote when she's like, I wanted someone to bring her up so that I could talk about her more. It's like almost like when people are fixated on hating a person, in this case it's CNBC. then they're like oh caroline calloway just because they're talking shit they don't care who it is it's like all all uh past goes out the window they don't care as long as they're talking shit about the people that they hate you know yeah um which i think two things can be true i think that uh cnbc girls can be a little bit mean but at the same time doesn't mean caroline calloway is an angel she just seems far more problematic caroline calloway is actually she's not just no angel she's actually a demon from hell.

43:02Like she is such a disgusting, horrible human being. I'm not exaggerating you guys. I know this seems very, very, very harsh, but if you pay attention, if you actually know anything about her past and her history, like the racist antisemitism and all of that, that I just read off, um, the, what reads like a rape fantasy almost. If I ever get raped, will people say that I asked for it because of my only fans? Like this is just scratching the surface. Like, it is so dark. Her bullshit is so crazy. And she is just not someone that, like, we should give any airtime to ever. And here I am giving her airtime.

43:39But honestly, that's why I also think that she doesn't even deserve her own episode because she would love it. She would love it so much. Yeah. She definitely was using Claire's use of the N-word as just, like, weaponizing it. What, what? Weaponizing it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Horrible. Yeah. Right. Right. Yeah. That's not cool. Because it's like, okay, if we're going to dig that up, then let's dig up all this, just at least five screenshots that we just pulled. And that's like scratching the surface. Scratching the surface. Like that is just the beginning, you guys. There's so much else. I know now I'm like, oh, people are going to be like, just do an episode on her.

44:14But I don't know. I'm so conflicted about it. Like she's literally the worst. Like she is a horrible monster. And that sounds dramatic, but I swear I'm not being dramatic. Go to Small Bean Snark on Reddit. That is her. That was like my introduction to like snark, honestly, was Caroline Calloway because she is so outrageous as a human being. I know. I know she has like a people feel very strongly about her. Like they really don't like her. I remember I have a friend who is literally around Kardashians all the time. Like she works for them. And I remember talking to her. I was like, oh, you probably meet a lot of people like Like, who would, like, just, like, who would star strike you?

44:55She's like, Caroline Calloway, because she's so insane. Like, I just, people just have this, I don't know. They, it's weird. Okay. Like, I know it sounds like I'm being dramatic, but trust me, you guys, she is awful. No, I think that everything that you've outlined here makes her kind of a frightening, dangerous person. She is. Okay, sorry. Anyway. Like, you can say what you want about CNBC, but they're not, like, dangerous. I don't think they're espousing. Say what you want about them. Like, I will never take anything Caroline Calloway says seriously. I think that Claire shouldn't have even responded because Caroline Calloway is such a joke that people shouldn't take seriously.

45:29Why are you even responding? That's my criticism of Claire and Ashley here. It's like, just don't even address it. Like, don't even give her the satisfaction. Okay, sorry. Okay, let's move on. I really want to quickly touch on Saucy Baby ex-Alex Earl ex-Kylie Jenner. saucy baby and alex earl they're in sardinia now but they just left ibiza they were at the nobu hotel which listen i've stayed there once i didn't stay in a nice hotel like that i mean like their room but like i think we talked about this did we talk about this last yesterday yeah yeah yeah it's like not that nice okay okay but anyways so kylie jenner she threw a party for her 29th B-Day and she posted all about it on her Instagram.

46:16And it's like pink themed. All of her friends made a bunch of cakes for her. All of her sisters were there. I noticed that Courtney wasn't photographed. Maybe she just wasn't in the photo, but I feel like Courtney's never at these events. Yeah, I thought it was weird because all the other sisters were there. Yeah. Every other sister except Courtney. I was like, huh, that's weird. But I think who else was noticeably absent who's gallivanting around Europe was Saucy Baby, who was Kylie Jenner's best friend. And there are rumors and blind items, again, heavily, heavily alleged, that Saucy Baby is yachting for an 80-year-old billionaire, Jersey Starock, who's the owner of Pul Pharma, one of Poland's largest drug manufacturers.

46:54And again, heavily alleged. I don't even know if this is true. But her and Alex Earl are always on a yacht. Like, over the last couple of months, that's all they've been doing. And Alex Earl even addressed this on her TikTok. She's like, I keep reading theories that we're yacht girls. Like, we don't need anyone to pay for our yacht. We can do it ourselves. which I was like, you go, girl. Like, you absolutely can. That's why I never understood her. I'm like, Alex is probably richer than, like, most of these people. She can easily just afford to charter a yacht for a day. But in any case, people still think that.

47:20Because I think Stassi Baby's finances are far more confusing. Like, I don't get that. Stassi Baby is literally just a professional, like, best friend. Yes. Professional best friend. Nepo friend. Just like Julia Mervis. Exactly. Who, by the way, I think she broke up. Her and Jake Musser broke up. Did you see that? I did not see that, but good for her because Jake Musser, he's this like male influencer, straight male influencer, which shouldn't exist, in my opinion. Enough. Yeah. Like go, men used to go to war. Yes, exactly. So it was so funny because all these TikTok comments about this allegation that Saucy Baby is yachting for this 80-year-old billionaire, people are, it's like so pro-woman.

48:01Everyone's like, that's so disgusting. How do I sign up? Is he hiring in this economy? I get it. Like everyone's just like, you go, girl. But everyone was like, wait, why would Saucy Baby not be with Kylie Jenner on her birthday? Like, why is she just gallivanting around Europe with Alex Earl? But I did see on the carousel last night that Saucy Baby did comment on it and was like super sweet. So maybe she just decided not to go. But honestly, I would be pissed if my best friend didn't go to my birthday party. I'm just going to say it. Yeah, for sure. And I saw DeMauw. Did you see DeMauw posted about this?

48:33Yes. About like the speculation? Yes. Yes. And people were like, oh, my God, you are so blowing this out of proportion. No, we're not. Like, the comments were really funny. They were like, oh, my God, Stassi has all of you guys spiraling. She's working y 'all. And I'm like, well, no, I do think it's kind of weird that she missed Kylie's birthday and the fact that she has been spending all her time with Alex Earl instead of Kylie for however many weeks or months now, it seems like. No, I think this isn't us just making it a big deal. Think about it, everyone. Just close your eyes and tell me if your best friend was out with the biggest star.

49:11Again, I've said it once. I'll say it again. Alex Earl right now is bigger than the Kardashians. I think she is. Oh, for sure. She is her relevancy. Someone said like Stassi attaches herself to who is like the it girl of the moment. Kylie's not anymore. Like Alex Earl's the it girl of the moment. But also people were saying that Stassi commenting on Kylie's post. Perfect girl. I love you forever, is proof that all of these rumors are just rumors that they're actually fine. But I'm like, a comment doesn't really prove anything, in my opinion. I completely agree. Like, everyone close your eyes and ask yourself, if your best friend was not at your birthday party where all of your other best friends were, like Victoria and Stassi Baby have a podcast called, I think, Better Half.

49:50Victoria was there. Apparently people were saying, like, Stassi Baby hasn't really been promoting Better Half with Vic as often as she used to. They're still pulling out episodes. I looked on their YouTube. I've never watched an episode, but like they're still regularly like publishing episodes, but it seems like Saucy Baby is not promoting that. I don't know. I just I think there's something there. Even though Dumois disputes this, you know, Saucy Baby commented on Kylie's Instagram post. Like, I don't know. I would be very mad if I were Kylie genuinely. Yeah. If it's one thing, if it's like an acquaintance, like everyone things come up, you're vacationing, but no, you would get on a private jet and go back to L.A.

50:25for a day to spend time with Kylie. Right. Like you can afford that. Yeah. Even though we don't understand your finances.

50:33I really quickly, before we talk about our DEOs and LEOs, I really quickly want to talk about Perez Hilton. Obviously, you guys know by now that last week Perez went on TikTok Live and was self-harming. He was, trigger warning, stabbing himself. And I thankfully did not watch the video. I saw a screenshot and that was enough for me. Christy did, even though I warned her. Everyone who's watched it says that it is absolutely traumatizing and extremely disturbing. So do not seek it out if you have not had the displeasure of watching it yet. He said that he wanted the police to kill him because there were police staked outside of his house.

51:16Ultimately, they were able to get to him. and apparently when this episode began his sister was there and his niece was there and they helped get the kids out of the house so that none of them witnessed this thankfully or hopefully didn't witness a lot of it and he is currently hospitalized apparently lost a lot of blood a TikTok spokesperson also told the Washington Post that a moderator error because this was on TikTok Live and people are like how the fuck think about how many children were watching this live and are now traumatized for life. It is horrible. And meanwhile, my Ashley Simpson video literally was taken down.

51:55Wait, why? I don't know. Maybe for copyright. I'm not really sure. But like you hear about all these people whose like video gets flagged or reported. How was it? People are really upset with TikTok for allowing this video to have been published for as long as it was before being taken down. For as long as it was. Yeah. So they said a moderator error caused a delay in the removal of Hilton's live stream. TikTok's moderation system flagged the live stream within minutes. the spokesperson said, and they denied reports that claimed his stream went on for 30 minutes, saying it was about half that time.

52:24The spokesperson said TikTok banned Hilton's account. So it's kind of like up for debate how long the TikTok live went on. But it's clear that it was at least 15, 20 minutes, at least. Some people say as long as 45 minutes, which is just obviously unbelievable. I mean, every minute is a minute too long. It should never have been up there in the first place. And were you saying that apparently he was hospitalized a couple like weeks prior to this self-harming incident with sepsis, perhaps. Yeah. You know, he could have been like bacterial infection is, you know, kind of clouding his judgment and his mental state.

52:59Have you seen that? I did hear about that. But yeah, it seems like he's been struggling for quite some time now. And his family released a statement and said Perez's condition remains serious but stable. he experienced significant blood loss and sustained additional injuries that will require surgery in the coming days. His treatment and recovery will be a long process. We are grateful that Perez was able to spend time with his mother and sister yesterday. As our family remains focused on Perez's treatment and on recovery, we also need the space and privacy to care for everyone affected by the situation.

53:32And so, of course, people are calling out the irony of his family asking for privacy after his years of relentlessly bullying and harassing female celebrities, even underage female celebrities like Vanessa Hudgens, some celebrity children. He was constantly, constantly bullying women and children for years and years and years on his blog, invading their privacy. I mean, yeah, the irony is not lost on me. And we're not saying that he's deserving of this, but I think that we can't talk about his privacy in an event as traumatic as this because it was literally live stream for the world to see without talking about his history of literally exploiting people for years.

54:15Yeah, yeah. You're right. I actually, now that you're saying it, when we used to, because we used to like look at his blog all the time, like that's kind of was the TMZ before TMZ was a thing. And he would constantly show celebrities' children, constantly. And make fun of their looks. Yeah. And draw penises on women's faces. And so a lot of people are like, obviously, you know, no one deserves this. And I think it's human to feel bad for anyone in a situation like this going through a mental health crisis like this, even as horrible of a human being as they may be. But of course, just the irony of in this statement asking for privacy, I think people are, you know, finding very interesting.

54:56one other thing about Perez is the weeks leading up to his hospitalization he was posting really erratically about like God and the Bible and he just seemed so deeply unwell in the weeks leading up to it like you'll if you just I was looking at clips of like just what his demeanor was like before and he'd be like I'm reading the Bible and I'm crying and I'm Judas and I don't know he was just acting super erratically. So I just I think the biggest thing I'm thinking about is obviously those that were subjected to watching this without even requesting for it, just scrolling TikTok. Yeah. And two, for those poor kids that were in the home, I guess, when this was happening, I hope to God they saw little or nothing.

55:42Yeah. But it's just very deeply disturbing to know what went down. Yeah. And I imagine that his he will probably lose custody of his kids now. I mean, he should. The thing about Facebook, you might find more than what you're looking for. From a browse to a bike ride, this summer, find more on Facebook. Okay, let's get into our DEOs and LEOs. Do you have a DEO this week? I see you didn't write one down. I know, Nance. You know, you go first, and then I'm going to think of them as you talk about it, because this is actually a really good one that you wrote. Okay, so this is also, this is kind of like a, we've had like several dark, very dark, dark Energy Tuesdays in a row.

1:00:07So this is clearly a dark episode. But I get so fucking pissed off after every single Idaho 4 documentary comes out. And most recently, the Netflix one, which I think was well done. It didn't really have any new information that we didn't learn from the Peacock one. And we still don't know why Brian Koberger did this, obviously, which is incredibly frustrating. And he is just such a piece of shit. And oh, I hate him. How he wants to rescind his guilty plea now. Yeah, he wants to rescind his guilty plea. The way that he was during those victim impact statements, just so emotionless. And oh, my God, I just I he obviously is he ugly.

1:00:47He's so he is ugly. He is awful. He's like there's such darkness in his eyes. And I think it's so obvious that this man is a horrible fucking murderer, clearly. But after every single one of these documentaries comes out, I will be innocently scrolling on whatever it is, TikTok, Twitter, and I see so many idiots once again blaming the roommates, claiming that the roommates are somehow involved, and that Brian is innocent and he was framed. How do you look at this man and look at the evidence? And people will be like, there is no evidence. He left his fucking sheath with his DNA on it, you idiots.

1:01:27roommates and the fact that they're still blaming the roommates, leave them alone. Have they not been through enough? And the families are asking you to leave them alone because the families know that they had nothing to do with it. And I think people are obviously still stuck on the fact that like, oh my God, they waited how many hours, eight hours to call 911. You never know. And you think that you can say that you will act a certain way in a certain situation. You never know until you're in that situation. Yes, of course, they saw slash heard some weird shit and felt that something was up. Never in their wildest dreams would they have imagined that everyone in their house was brutally murdered by the scary intruder.

1:02:08And honestly, if you don't believe that could, like, thank God, if you can't form, if you can't get your head around the fact that it took them, you know, 12 hours to call the authorities, thank God you've never been put in a situation where you've been so traumatized where your head is not thinking clearly because I have actually obviously not in a degree like this but I've been in a very precarious position where like cops got involved it took me almost 12 hours to call the police without realizing what had actually happened to me like fight flight or freeze yes you have no idea and I am a person that consumes pop I mean true crime you guys know every day it took me and my at that time you know I was in my late 20s to understand what was actually happening to me and the amount of time it took me to actually reach out for help was astounding.

1:02:53You have no idea. And again, thank God if you can't understand this, be thankful that you don't have to understand this because it's crazy what trauma will do to your brain and how you can rationalize things for hours without putting it together. And it is so, I completely agree. And it is so upsetting every time. And I'm trying to get these conspiracy theorists out of my feeds. I say not interested. Like I can't wrap my mind around how many, they sound so confident. Like they're, they're actually they think they're being smart. They think they sound smart. They think that they're really onto something when they say he was framed.

1:03:27How do you look at this man and say, this is just an innocent guy? Totally innocent. Whose cell phone was pinging everywhere that Maddie Mogan was in the weeks and months. And his car is spotted driving in front of the house over and over again. The evidence is overwhelming. So shut the fuck up. I like I really can't. If you're one of those people that blames the roommates, like I don't even know what to say to you. Please don't leave a comment because it'll raise my blood pressure and I'm trying to have like a zen start to my week. So that is my DEO. Yeah, I was going to say that it does feel like when I open my TikTok, every time there's another documentary, I actually feel badly for the victims of the situation that are still living because they have to relive this trauma again and again and again and more theories.

1:04:13And can you imagine what Dylan and Bethany, those surviving roommates, have they not been through enough trauma and now you have this huge swaths of idiots on the internet with you know these crazy conspiracy theories that you were somehow involved with brutally murdering your best friends like it is just it's absolutely unfathomable and i can't believe how dumb people are i'm sorry like they're like how fucking dumb and evil can you be yeah no i I completely, completely. That's a good one. I think that we need to stop any of these TikTok people. Or they're like, he wasn't working by himself. I'm like, shut the fuck up.

1:04:53He had eight people on his contact list. Who else could he be working with? Exactly. Oh my God. They say that it's like he had no friends. He had no one in his contact list. There was no one. There was no one else but him. He was a loser. Yes. He was a loser who worked alone. He was a loser and a loner. And that's what we know about him for certain. And how he had his in his phone, his mom was mother. What a freak. You're a freak show. No, but it actually was. And I remember texting you guys when I was watching the documentary. How they were like, we've never seen someone have like... Zero activity on the phone.

1:05:26Well, yeah, no activity on their phone. And also like less than 12 contacts. They're like, we've never seen this before. Never. It's like a level of loser freak that like even the police were like, we have never seen someone have less friends ever. And I know we're laughing. The only time we will ever laugh when we talk about this is when we are making fun of Brian Koberer because he's such a fucking loser freak. No. Pedophile, stalker, loser, freak, loner, weirdo, ugly, demented. Oh, I could go on. You have another hour? I swear to God. I was actually dying laughing because it's so true when you're like, this guy was such a freak.

1:06:03He had 12 contacts in his phone. I was like, oh. Like, even the police were like, we've never seen this before. Like, think about how much they've seen. They were like, That was like one of the most jarring things for them at first. They were like, like, that is so insane how much of a loser this guy is. No, I know. Wait, also, like, there was one other person during the documentary that was like, yeah, like, people like took classes next to him or whatever. Like, people had interacted with him in passing, but he was like, he didn't have any friends. Like, no one was like, I'm friends with this guy.

1:06:37Like, again, they kept thinking it was weird how little he interacted with other people. So I don't want to hear it that he was like, oh, he definitely had like a partner in crime. Who? Who? Literally who? Literally who? Do you know what also haunts me in my sleep is that one picture or selfie he took of him where he's like, I know you know which one I'm talking about. Wait, is it the one he took after the murders? Not this one. Not with a thumbs up. I'm talking about that weird selfie that they found in his phone where his teeth are like sticking out and he's crossing his eyes and he's like scrunching his face.

1:07:08Please. Hold on. Just hold on. Brian Kohlberger. Oh, I found it. I found it. Oh my God, I hate him. No, it's so scary. I hate him so much. Oh my God. Every time there's like a TikTok video about him, people just post that as like a gif. And they're like, can everyone just stop posting this photo? It's really disturbing. It's not funny. Can people stop acting like this guy is innocent was framed? Because it's very clear that he's guilty as fuck. Insult to my intelligence. Like Sophie and I, I have read books. Sophie and I have watched every single documentary. We've studied this case. I am with 100 % certainty this man did it.

1:07:44100%. I couldn't say that about most cases. So are the families. So are the prosecutors. So are the detectives. Everyone is certain except these idiot conspiracy theorists on TikTok. Think about that. Okay. On to a lighter topic. Wait, I was going to say my DEO. Oh, okay. Sorry. I just came up with it. Real Housewives of Orange County. Enough. Oh, I heard it so bad this season. I have been watching, but trigger warning Ryan Bailey says that it's horrible. I can't even believe we're doing this. Okay. It's genuinely so bad. Carmella, I think the new housewife is, that does halftime in Rancho Santa Fe and halftime in OC.

1:08:23It's just so fake. I don't care about her. Enough with Gina and Emily. It's seriously so, it hurts me to watch them on screen. I don't care about them being sticky and wearing the same sweatshirt and being two peas in a pod. It's so dumb. I cannot stand Emily. I hate how she's exploiting Luke's mental stuff on camera. Luke's going to grow up as an adult and realize that you're outing all of his medical history. You're a terrible mother. I'm sorry. I do not like Emily. She's not a good person. Gina is just a little bit like Junior. I can't really stand her. I think she's just. Gina and Emily were the downfall of OC.

1:08:59Like, I cannot believe that they're still on the show. It's been like almost a decade, I feel like. Crazy. And they're probably, I was talking about this trigger warning Ryan Bailey. He was like, they're probably wondering how they're still on the show too. Yeah. It doesn't make sense. Heather Dubrow and Vicky can't even say this franchise. Like, I am just so over it. I've, at this point, I haven't watched the most recent episode that aired last week. I don't even plan to. I think I'm done. I seriously think I'm done. I can't believe I'm watching this trash unfold on screen. I. What? Oh, go ahead.

1:09:28I was just going to say, I had people like yell at me when I talked about it on So Bad It's Good that I wasn't watching OC. People were like, how do you call yourself a Bravo fanatic and blah, blah, blah and a pop culture fan, but you're not watching OC? It's like because it's not good. She values her time. I have one precious and wild life and I'm not going to spend my time watching Real Houses of Orange County this season. It's literally, it's like, it's an insult to my intelligence, I'm telling you. It is just so freaking bad. And I'm over it. So that's my dark energy object. I can't believe gone.

1:10:05Gone are the days where I was conned. I was conned. I'm like, Jesus Christ on a cross. I didn't know. Gone are those days, okay? Top of the morning. Yeah, yeah. There are like so many iconic Orange County moments. No wonder her daughter doesn't talk to her. She ate the bow on my cake. Like, there are so many iconic Orange County moments. But it's over. Those days are over. I know. It's Vicky. They thought Vicky could do it. There's no plane. Baby, there's... Did you see that Kennedy did a TikTok of her against... With that, uh... Yeah. Oh, my God. No, I have to go find it. Kennedy, Taylor, Armstrong's daughter.

1:10:46Yeah, she's grown up now. She's, like, in her 20s. She lives in San Diego. And she's like, baby, there is no plane. Yeah. No, everyone's like, do you understand? This is a cultural iconic moment in Bravo history. Thank you. And it's so crazy when like, like we watched her like fifth birthday and now she's like a full adult. When Taylor Armstrong gave her like a$150 ,000 birthday. That like Alice in Wonderland themed birthday. While they were like drowning in debt. Okay. I want to talk about my Elia, which I mentioned at the top of the morning, top of the episode. Yeah. Awesome. Sterling Point on Prime.

1:11:23Like, it is so good, you guys. It's obviously like a kind of a cheesy tween drama, but I think the lead actress, Ella Rubin, is so good. She's such a star. And it's just like, it's really cute. I really like it. like I said, it's kind of like Widow's Bay for tweens where the plot is basically Ella Rubin, her grandfather dies, and she inherits this remote Canadian island and then she goes to the island and there are all these secrets. And I really like it. So highly recommend. It has been quite a joyful watch for me. See, I don't like these YA shows, but like I didn't watch off campus. I didn't watch Summer I Turned Pretty.

1:12:02You didn't watch Heated Rivalry. You are missing out. I know. Nance, that's how I feel about you and Love Island. Oh, please. I don't have the bandwidth. No, I know. Love Island was so trash. I can't even believe I said season eight at one point was better than season six. Like I, I. That's so funny. People were like, Christy, you have the worst taste. I pay for that every day, by the way, just so we're clear. I know. You'll never live that down ever. And listen, hey, I know what I'm wrong. Okay. I can't believe I said that. You can admit it. I'm Jesus Christ on the cross. Like I did. Jesus Christ on the Also, like, I'm sorry, speaking of OC, like, iconic moments.

1:12:38Hmm. Girth Brooks. Like, I can't believe Brooks was a real person. No. Do you remember Brianna? Brianna saying, he said that people call him Girth Brooks. Ew! And when Megan King Edmonds called the physician's office to get his, like, x-rays, which, like, is totally against HIPAA. Like, how did she get a hold of that? Yeah. detective megan king edmunds dude bring her back i'm sorry i know bring her back bring her back me too you know who was a horrible housewife though peggy remember peggy oh my god she was the 100th housewife she was horrible horrible put her up there with diana jenkins horrible yeah she was she was a one season flop remember when vicky was being rushed out of that wheelchair i mean the wheelchair with a blanket on her head and they're like oh my god it's like michael jackson why is she doing that?

1:13:29Oh my God, stop. I feel like we need like a whole Patreon episode of the most iconic OC moments. That was gold. Okay, sorry. There are clearly a lot. Okay, sorry. Sorry. Okay, my LAO is I just started reading more and more on my Kindle and I've just started Yesteryear. It's like about a trad wife influencer. It's like, I think it was a GMA book, Reese Witherspoon book. Yeah. And they're making a movie with Anne Hathaway. Yeah. So I'm like, hey that sounds pretty up my alley when it comes to influencers you know all that so give it a try one of my best friends michelle she read it she said it was great so i'm like hey you like it so far well you know i'm about five five percent in okay it's good so far so um i am reading another book with uh lies in the title if you guys recall i was last reading count my lies which was pretty good.

1:14:22The ending was like a little bit like, eh, but pretty good. I would read it probably. I think I gave it like a four. Yeah, that's good. A four. See, like I, I basically like, I will never give a book less than three stars. I was talking to my girlfriend because I saw that she rated a book on Goodreads three stars. And I was like, oh my God, you hated this book, didn't you? And she was like, I actually really liked it. Like three stars is liked it. Four is like love. Five is it's a perfect book. And I was like, for me, I'm like three is hated it because I feel bad giving any book less than three stars.

1:14:52Me too. And that's actually a good point because the rating is so subjective because I'm like you, I, if I dislike it, I'll sometimes give it a three, maybe even a two. I'll give it like a three if I really didn't like it. Cause I'm like, you know what? Like I feel bad giving it any less than that because the author worked hard. And then, and then four stars is like, eh, like I liked it, but it wasn't like perfect to me. Um, and then five stars is perfect, obviously. But I gave it four stars, so I liked it. Could have worked on the ending a little bit. And then, okay, so sorry. The book I'm reading right now is called First Lie Wins.

1:15:34Who is it? Who wrote it? And it's like, okay. I'm like 25 % in and I'm not like super, super, super hooked yet. Oh, it's by Ashley Elston. Ashley Elston. Reese Witherspoon's book club. You guys, how does Reese Witherspoon read every single book of all time? Why is every book at Barnes & Noble? At Reese's Book Club. It's a Reese Book Club. What isn't a Reese Book Club at this point? You're so right. What isn't? Yeah. Like every single... See, there's a picture of her with it. Yeah. But it is... I mean, it's pretty good so far. It's like, you know, it's a thriller like everything else I read. Oh, Kevin Williamson, to abduct.

1:16:10First Lie wins book at Universal TV, whatever that is. Oh, okay. so we're getting a show yeah and oh i just book there's a red subreddit called book of the month club first lie first lie wins also count my lives as being turned into a show i believe it's shailene woodley and lindsey lohan so oh yeah yeah exciting i i did see the the press for that like them on that one was a fun read like i actually was like really hooked when it came to that book like right away i think this one is just a slower burn for me um okay so that is our show today i think is there anything else no that's it um tomorrow on the patreon we are do you want to tell them because you did it oh it is a deep dive into tila tequila and where she is today and you guys if you are in around sophie and i's age this is such a nostalgic episode because we talk about the time that tila tequila was so relevant like my space love yeah like all those vh1 and we realized this wasn't actually on vh1 we thought it was it was actually on mtv but we talked about just like it's like time capsule episode.

1:17:15It's very nostalgic. I really enjoyed listening to it. And she has a really insane life and just like she's unwell now, genuinely. Yeah. Yeah. She's very unwell. She also has a very interesting background that I wasn't super familiar with. So that is on Patreon tomorrow. And then speaking of like true crime, our episode Thursday is related to the true crime genre. So that will be on Thursday. And per usual, you can subscribe to our sub stack via the link our show notes. And also our Friday newsletter goes out every Friday. That is also in our show notes. But yeah, thank you guys so much for listening.

1:17:49We love you. Happy Tuesday. See you tomorrow on Patreon or on Thursday for another episode of What's a Snark. Bye. Bye.

1:18:11As a lifelong renter who's probably going to be renting for the rest of my life at this point, it's hard for me to justify splurging on custom furniture or like chic, expensive vintage home finds when I know this isn't my forever home. That's what Wayfair is for. Because even though renting makes me less enthusiastic about spending money on furniture and home decor, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated, duh. I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now, long before they were a sponsor. From an armoire in our second bedroom to our randomly extremely chic wicker laundry basket that I'm literally obsessed with, Wayfair makes quality pieces that stand up to real life without breaking the bank.

1:18:51Budget-friendly but chic finds make all the difference in your space, in my opinion, whether you're a renter like me or an actual homeowner, which don't rub it in. You can even see real customer feedback and photos before you buy, so you can shop with confidence. And with Wayfair Awards, you can get 5 % back on every purchase, helping you get even more value from your Wayfair purchases and create a home you love without overspending. 1:19:26Wayfair. Every style, every home. Wayfair. Every style, every home. I've been a diehard TaskRabbit stand long before they were a sponsor. I cannot remember the last to my move without enlisting a tasker, whether it was for assembling furniture, mounting a TV, hanging artwork, the list goes on. And it's not just during a move when your to-do list can feel like it's 10 pages long. Sometimes I really just need an extra hand for those little things I feel like I never end up getting around to myself. Like finally hanging the wedding photos I promised myself and Henry that I do for months now. Wherever you are, TaskRabbit is there to help.

1:20:03TaskRabbit connects you with skilled taskers in your area for moving, furniture, assembly, home repairs, yard work, mounting, and more. Nothing makes you appreciate good bedding more than a hot August night. Having something that's lightweight, breathable, cool, and easy to sleep in no matter how hot it gets is so freaking important. That's why I love Quince. It's my go-to for bedding for so long now with high-quality materials like 100 % European linen and organic cotton. You can feel the difference, you guys. It feels like you're in a hotel bed, okay?

1:21:12Quince has everything you need to give your bed the biggest upgrade, from breathable sheets to linen shams and duvet covers in soft seasonal colors, stripes, timeless neutrals, you name it. My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets and duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy. And when nights start to get cooler this fall, there are lightweight quilts and coverlets at the perfect finishing layer, adding warmth, texture, coziness to your bed as we go into fall and winter. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 % less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical manufacturers and cut out the middleman.

Fortunately, though, Mint's story is better. Every plan,$15 a month, even unlimited. That's it. Happy ending. Zero tears. Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch.
