In short
Snark Bay hosts discuss “Love Thy Nader” on Hulu, Taylor Frankie Paul being named the next Bachelorette, Danielle Bernstein’s “wedding era” (including engagement-party shoppable links), Selena Gomez’s mother’s therapy-media company Wondermind, and influencer Hallie Kate’s hospital posts; they also debate “dark energy” vs “light energy” objects and wedding/influencer culture.
Guest backgrounds
No podcast guests appear in the transcript; it’s a two-host episode (Christy and Sophie). Mentions include Selena Gomez (public figure), Mandy Teefy (Wondermind cofounder), Daniela Pearson (Wondermind cofounder), Taylor Frankie Paul (Secret Lives of Mormon Wives), and Hallie Kate (NYC influencer).
Key claims
- “Love Thy Nader” feels over-marketed; Brooke Snader is a model (Sports Illustrated Swimsuit) and appeared on Dancing with the Stars (2024).
- Bachelor producers are “desperate” for ratings; Taylor Frankie Paul’s domestic-violence-related controversy is reigniting backlash.
- Danielle Bernstein’s engagement invitation includes affiliate/shoppable links that may profit off guests; she’s criticized for controlling guest outfits.
- Wondermind’s internal issues (hallucinations, erratic behavior, unpaid employees) were reported by The Cut; Selena is portrayed as minimally involved.
- Hallie Kate posted hospital updates, got defensive about questions, later said it was an ulcerative colitis flare.
Notable examples
- Wondermind: alleged ring-camera whispering; around-the-clock IV antihistamine drips; unpaid employees (March/May).
- Taylor Frankie Paul: DV arrest allegations involving Dakota; “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” breakout star.
- Danielle Bernstein: engagement-party shoppable links; “engagement party size of a wedding” claim.
- Hallie Kate: “in the hospital for days” posts; later diagnosis of ulcerative colitis flare.

1:14Danielle Bernstein:Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Snark Bay. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. And we have so much to talk about. We are talking about Love Thy Nader. Taylor Frankie Paul is the new bachelorette. Danielle Bernstein and her wedding era. It's a lot, you guys. Selena Gomez's mom's company, Wonderkind, and the drama. Wondermind. Excuse me. And the drama around that. Wonderkind sounds kind of like a candy bar. It sounds actually really delicious. Hallie Kate. There's always something going on in the Hallie Kate world. And the dark energy objects and light energy objects of the week. Let's get into it.
1:54Let's do it.
2:08Danielle Bernstein:Hey, Sophie, how are you doing on this beautiful Sunday morning? Afternoon for you. Hi, Christy. I am good. I had a fun weekend. How are you doing? I also had such an incredible weekend. I rotted all day in on my couch. And it's just one of those recharge, recharge weekends, you know what I mean? And I feel like the last couple of weeks have been so so busy. And you know, this is a message to all the baby snarks. When you need to take time to relax, just allow yourself to be do whatever it is that is self care. Get a massage, take an edible, Take a nap. Watch your favorite show. I was watching Gilmore Girls.
2:52Danielle Bernstein:I know you've never watched it before, which is a travesty. I need you to watch it. I will watch Girls if you will watch Gilmore Girls. Yeah, I'm like, you're one to talk. You are one to talk. That's rich coming from you. That is so rich. I know, but everyone tells me I need to watch Gilmore Girls, especially in the fall. So I will get on that at some point in my life when I'm done with all of the Survivor seasons that I'm currently back to watching. I am obsessed with Survivor. How are you feeling, by the way? Are you feeling better? I'm feeling better. And yeah, all's well on this. I got nothing, to be honest.
3:26Danielle Bernstein:I got absolutely no updates. Do you have any updates in your beautiful life? Honestly, no. How's Bax? Henry and Baxter are good. If you're watching on YouTube, you can see Baxter's right here. He's got a haircut, so he's looking as handsome as ever. Oh, have you seen those TikTok sounds? It's actually just one TikTok sound. but people are using it on their dogs. And it goes, that's my dog and he's never had sex. That's my dog and he never will. I heard. I saw that TikTok that you posted at Soph Ross Brooks. Is that your handle? Yes, on TikTok. I never, this was my first TikTok that I posted in like three months, but it was just a Baxter and it's, that's my dog and he's never had sex.
4:06I did see that. Oh my God, poor baby. I was like, why isn't Sophie? That's really mean.
4:11Danielle Bernstein:I was like, why isn't Sophie answering my text? I just see this TikTok. That's my dog. Oh, you guys, Christy, Christy literally texted me. I think it was yesterday. And I was celebrating my girlfriend because I've said before, all of my friends are born in September. So I was celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. And if you guys know, the polo bar is extremely hard to get into. I called for weeks because it's my friend's like favorite place to go. I was calling for weeks. Henry talked to his pop pop and was like, pop pop, there's this restaurant called the polo bar. We cannot get in. Like, it's so crazy.
4:45Like just like a side comment, not an action item. Pop up then calls the polo bar. He says he became best friends with the manager. And he's like, I got a 6 p.m. And I was like, how did you do that? And he was like, I can't tell you. I cannot tell you. And then we were like, Papa, if you get us another reservation in the future. And he goes, honey, I can get a reservation whenever I want now. So I guess Pop Pop has an in at the polo bar. And I got a bunch of DMs being like, how did you get in? I didn't. Pop Pop did. He got us this reservation. So thank you, Henry's Pop Pop. And yeah, I mean, the Polo Bar unfortunately lives up to the hype.
5:18It's every time I've been, which is only twice in my life, it's like the best meal ever.
5:23Danielle Bernstein:So unfortunately, I went to the one in Chicago. It really is everything that it's hyped up to be. And I think most importantly, the ambiance is incredible. And the servers are so cool. At least I can't speak to the one in New York City, but the one in Chicago. Oh, my God. All of the servers were so nice and so funny. We were cracking jokes with them all afternoon. it was fabulous. Wait, but the moral of my story, Christy, is that you guys, Christy texted me. So I had this whole like day I was out and about, had this really nice dinner, came home ready to relax. Christy's like, please watch this documentary.
5:57It was a 9-11 documentary. And I was like, I'm having a good day. Why would I watch a 9-11? She was like, please, if you have time, please watch this documentary. And I was like, Christy, not now.
6:08Danielle Bernstein:I know. I know. It's one of those things where Sophie and I, we hyper fixate on certain events and it's weird. We share our brain. It's very bizarre because I didn't know when starting the show that you and I had basically pair like the same interests. And in fact, the first time I met Sophie, she was staying at my house and we were trying to figure out what movie to watch. And she's like, have you seen United 93? Oh yeah. We did watch United 93. Great movie by the way. I can't, no, we're putting it on play she knew all the lore every passenger she would pause so listen that guy todd beamer todd beamer todd beamer not todd sweeney brian sweeney was another victim todd beamer you're right thank you sure and she goes he was talking to the 9-1-1 operator and to be clear every all the passengers on united 93 were heroes and i think they were even gifted muslimously awarded with a Medal of Freedom, I believe.
7:02Danielle Bernstein:Yeah, they prevented the 737 from flying into the White House by diverting the plane and eventually crash into a field, I think, in Pennsylvania. Yeah, yeah. Of course, everyone on that flight, unfortunately, passed, which is devastating, but they prevented a lot more deaths from happening in Washington, D.C. So they're posthumously heroes. And I was just watching footage from 9-11 on this documentary, and can you go and see what it's called while I express my thoughts? Yes. But as I was watching it, you see so much footage from 9-11, but you rarely see, I shouldn't say this, it followed about seven documentarians throughout the entire hour and a half and all their footage from that day.
7:47Danielle Bernstein:So it would bounce between the first documentarian, then the second, and then we'll go back to the first. So you got to see like end to end their entire journeys through that day. Thank you. It's called 9-11. I was there. It's on Hulu. but definitely I mean it's it just brings more awareness to that day and the heroes really that helped save so many lives the firefighters that saved so many lives and it was really poignant I was sobbing and I felt just more as if I couldn't feel any more empathy and sympathy for the victims you gain an appreciation for the people that were there not just the people who were directly impacted but people that had to watch this you know it's really really eye-opening so I I recommend it if you are strong enough to stomach the visuals because it's obviously very graphic and raw, uncensored footage from that day.
8:37Danielle Bernstein:But on a lighter note, let's dive in to things that are also dark energy. Not nearly as dark as what we just talked about. Obviously, it's devastating. But let's go into other topics that are a little bit more snark bait coded. I want to kick it off with the show on Hulu, Love Thy Nader. Why is this show being pushed down our throat? Wait, did you watch it yet? No, and I heard it's amazing. No, yeah, I didn't watch it either. So I feel like you guys, all of the people that have been in our DMs saying it's actually an amazing show, we have not watched it. So I feel it's like I kind of am refusing to watch it.
9:15Like I'm protesting just because I do feel like it's being shoved down our throat. It's like, where did Brooke Snader come from? Like, I don't understand. All of a sudden everyone acts like they know who she is. And I'm like, where did she come from?
9:28Danielle Bernstein:Yes, I had to Google it myself because I was asking myself that same question. So Brooks was a model and appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, which kicked off her big modeling career. And she was also on Dancing with the Stars last year in 2024. I had no idea about any of this. I didn't even know about this woman at all. I'm sorry to this woman. But to be clear, everyone that has watched it has said it's incredible. Not just people in my DMs, people at work have told me this. So I don't doubt it's a really entertaining, great show. And people said it's far better than the Culpo show.
9:59Danielle Bernstein:It's far better than the Kardashians. Guys, where were you all when I needed a season two of the Culpo sisters? I loved that show. Really? Loved it. Oh my gosh. Okay. Well, I heard it was good as well. My best friend also watched it. She loves Olivia Culpo, but I don't know what it is. I think it's just on principle. Like you said, I don't doubt it's a fabulous, phenomenal show that would definitely tickle my fancy. but I have no desire to watch it. Is that bad? No, I don't think that's inherently bad. I think that I am frustrated by the fact that I feel like I'm being gaslit. Everyone is like, duh, Brooke Snader.
10:35You haven't heard of her. I'm like, who is this person? Like, why are you guys all acting like you know who she is? And I know that she's just kind of been like, she's like a model. She was married to this guy and then they divorced and then she was cited with other random guys. She's always kind of just like in the tabloid with some guy.
10:53Danielle Bernstein:Right. And interestingly enough, her ex-husband is now dating Naomi Olindo from Southern Charm. And I was reading some things where Brooke Nader's ex-husband that's now dating Naomi, they got together when Brooks was really young. Yeah, she was like 18 and he was like 30 something. That's weird. I also remember on our Joe Burrow episode, we mentioned how one of the Nader sisters, I'm not sure which one, I really don't know the difference between any of them other than Brooks, allegedly hooked up with Joe, but I don't know which one. I just, I don't know. Maybe if I really, really, really get bored enough and again, run out of Survivor seasons and Gilmore Girls and 9-11 documentaries, maybe then.
11:36Yeah.
11:37Danielle Bernstein:Let us know if it's on your content rotation. And again, I'm not shading anyone when that watches it. It's more just my sheer confusion at the fact that this family is popping up and is everywhere on my screens. And they must have the best damn marketing team in the PR. Like they are churning out all the ads to every which way. Instagram, TikTok, Hulu's like homepage. It's everywhere. So good on whoever's working for them because they're doing a fabulous job. Yeah. Good job to their PR team. What do you want to talk about next? I think we need to talk about Taylor Frankie Paul being named the next bachelorette.
12:12And it's so funny because Alex Cooper posted that teaser on Instagram and it was her cutting into a cake that said 30 or something. And she was like, why is it pink? Like it kind of looked like a gender reveal cake. It was very bizarre. And people were speculating that Alex Cooper was going to be the new host of The Bachelor. It was it was very weird. And then people put the pieces together and assumed that it was going to be Taylor Frankie Paul being named the next Bachelorette. And alas, she was. I don't know why Alex Cooper had to be involved in all of this, but sure.
12:47Danielle Bernstein:Dude, I'm sorry about her husband being so ingratiated in TV and production. He's getting her so many opportunities. And I'm not trying to put all the reason for her success on her husband, but what I'm saying is her husband has a lot of already pre-existing relationships with all these TV production executives. He can get her in the door anywhere. I swear to God. They're like this power couple. Clearly. I was like, what was the point of like the Alex Cooper of it all? I guess the interview, which I did not listen. I have not done my, I'm like, I didn't watch love thy neighbor Nader. I didn't listen to the Taylor Frankie Paul interview.
13:21I'm sorry. I'm, I'm busy you guys. But I think it's really interesting that a lot of people that have been tapped out of the bachelor franchise, including myself are like, okay, I'm back in now. Like this is going to be messy. Like Taylor Frankie Paul is reality TV gold, whether you like her or not, she is reality TV gold. And for the record, guys, if you don't know who she is, she is the breakout star of secret lives of Mormon wives. She is kind of the center of the show, but it's interesting that people are also bringing up her domestic violence issue again. And the people that are the opposite of me, who have been staying in the loop with the Bachelor franchise and have never quit watching, are not happy about this announcement because of her kind of problematic past, which is also understandable.
14:11all.
14:12Danielle Bernstein:Yeah, people were really, I think, excited that we kind of talked about Colton Underwood's downfall and how he was named The Bachelor. Then after his season, he was slapped with a domestic, excuse me, a stalking allegation. Cassie filed a temporary restraining order against Colton. And we were saying, you know, this is unacceptable. And then, of course, like a few days after we recorded that Colton episode, Taylor Frankie Paul, who was arrested for domestic violence against Dakota, who was also on the show, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, is now being platformed as the next Bachelorette. The irony is not lost on me.
14:47Danielle Bernstein:I mean, I understand why people are pissed for sure, but I also understand that The Bachelor producers, ABC, they need to get people watching their show again. They're desperate. No one gives a fuck about The Bachelor. They have not given a fuck since 2020, and they are grasping at straws trying to get people more viewership. Yeah, totally. And Hulu is a subsidiary now of ABC or vice versa. I don't know how mergers and acquisitions work, but that also makes sense from a business standpoint because Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is on Hulu. and also I mean it's worth pointing out that not only was it domestic violence that her children were present and one was caught in the scuffle and apparently hurt so it's you know it's something that people forget about a lot but it's getting brought up again now again I feel like it's like the diehard bachelor franchise viewers are like what the fuck this is my sacred show.
15:42Why are you bringing in this really freaky, problematic outsider? On the contrary, for those of us who've been tapped out of the franchise, we're like, well, Taylor Frankie Paul is reality TV gold. I think, like you said, the Bachelor franchise needs to revive it by any means necessary. So we'll see. And also explain the Nick Vile of it all.
16:03Danielle Bernstein:Oh, my God. So a couple of months ago, Nick Vile said on his show publicly, if the Bachelor franchise wants to revive itself again, it'll need to hire a breakout star. And that breakout star, dare I say, should be Taylor Frankie Paul. And he said this months ago. And so now that clip and Nick himself is circulating that clip saying, I'm the one responsible for Taylor Frankie Paul being casted as the next Bachelorette. He loves taking credit. And sure, he might have dropped her name in the hat, threw her name out and they realized that's a great decision and they went with it i just can't stand nick vile having to be on my instagram commentating on the shows that i know and love he was never a part of this no just started watching yes he just started watching vanderpump roles when scandaval happened you were never there you don't know kristen's green dress you just try and infiltrate all of our spaces and now he's become this like bravo extravaganza type of type of guy he has a production company that hosts Cynthia.
17:01Is it Cynthia and Cynthia Bailey and Crystal Kung Minkoff, I believe their show. And also disrespectfully pod with Katie Maloney and Dana.
17:11Danielle Bernstein:Yes. He has to infiltrate all of our safe spaces. And I want him out. I hate him. I hate him so much. And he's never, ever going to let people forget it. I called it. Shut the fuck up, Nick. He is basking in this, thinking that he's the brains behind the operation. He was the one that nudged them to this decision. Yet he didn't get the exclusive. Alex Cooper did. Yeah. So, I mean, joke's on you, Nick. Yeah. Yeah. Get away. Can we talk about Danielle Burns seeing curating looks for her engagement party? Yeah. This is insane, you guys. She sent a save the date or an invitation. And on that invitation - For the engagement party, you guys.
17:54Not even the wedding. Just the engagement party.
17:56Danielle Bernstein:on the invitation it had shoppable links so when someone would click on that link and purchase that dress or that fit it would get removed from the platform and we have to assume that Danielle was also making like affiliate commission off of these shoppable links that she was sending to her guests for her again her engagement party not even her wedding she's trying to control what people are wearing she's an insufferable person if you're going to do that Danielle then you need it. You need to pay for it. Why is she doing this? She said it like she was doing. She basically filmed a TikTok explaining this and acting like it was so brilliant.
18:34She was doing her friends such a favor. First of all, it's an engagement party. Second of all, she also said in another video that her engagement party is basically going to be the size of a wedding. I just she must be such an exhausting person to be friends with, to be engaged to. Mini Coop is a saint for putting up with her. It's just insane. Let people wear whatever the fuck they want. And it's also okay to give people guidance, like a color palette or something.
19:02Danielle Bernstein:Very standard. That's really standard. Oh, I did that for my wedding. I also pulled my Twitter followers. I was like, is this psycho, you guys? And everyone was like, no, this is actually very helpful. It was fall like jewel tones, by the way, for the record. But it also is implied that she is profiting off of her friends and family by making commission if they shop these affiliate links, which is also insane. It's just nuts. And it's also an engagement party. Like, I'm sorry, engagement parties should not be this big of a deal. Okay, this may be a hot take and just file this under hot takes that most people may not agree with.
19:40Danielle Bernstein:But in my opinion, I've never been engaged. But based on the couples that I do know that have gotten engaged, the engagement party is typically an event that the husband, the soon-to-be husband, will throw for the wife until he'll propose. And then he whisks her off to a restaurant and all of our friends and family are present. Like it should be something that happens shortly thereafter, after the engagement, in my opinion. It depends on the couple. We didn't do that because we just celebrated the day that we got engaged. We just celebrated with our family. And then later we were like, oh, we want to celebrate with our friends, obviously.

20:11So we did like just a friend thing and it was very casual. Is that a bar a month later? That's normal. The concept of just renting out an event space and just doing this massive, massive. She said it's going to be the size of a wedding, her engagement party. What? I remember Olivia Colpo did something similar. And that's also like Olivia Colpo and Christian McCaffrey. Like, yeah, they're multi, multi, multi millionaires. Like everything they do is extremely extravagant. It's just like too much. And I also wrote this down. I don't know if you saw this, Christy. that wedding culture in general has gotten out of control.
20:45And a lot of it is that it seems like, first of all, all of these influencers got engaged around the same time. I don't know if you saw that like Ella Rose is getting married this weekend, Chelsea Park, Vivian Audi, who I had never been familiar with until this weekend when people started posting about being excited for her wedding looks. So yeah, you also have Daniel Bernstein, Jordan Sloan acquired style. All of these influencers are engaged at the same time. Jordan Sloan is one that I have followed for a while. I like her beauty tips generally like her, but she posted a video of all of the like procedures and facials she's had done leading up to her wedding, which I believe is happening in October.
21:26So soon it was basically like a montage of like needles and lasers and all of these things. And I get it. We all want to look the best we've ever looked on our wedding day. And I definitely did. You know, I got my Botox. I got some facials leading up to my wedding. But I feel like it made me depressed. I was like, this is too much. You don't need all of this. I promise you, you don't. And then you have the 7 million looks that some of these brides have in one weekend. The five-day bachelorette parties. Ahem, Jordan Sloan. Five days. I feel like we've just lost the plot. It's becoming bigger than what a wedding is supposed to be about, which is just like you marrying the love of your life.
22:06Your home design should feel like you. And if it doesn't, it's not because you have bad taste. It might just be a budget problem. Well, Wayfair fixes that. This is my sixth apartment in 12 years in New York City, which is crazy to think about. So when you move that much, you become less and less enthusiastic about spending money on new pieces. Of course, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated, but knowing it's not my forever home makes it hard to want to splurge. That's why I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now. I'm obsessed with my latest purchase. It sounds kind of silly, but we were previously throwing our laundry in an open laundry bin that just ended up looking messy and cheap in the corner of our bedroom.
22:41It became an absolute eyesore, so I searched for closed wicker laundry bins on wafer that can hide the mess and add like a chic, beachy touch to our bedroom, and I found the perfect one for under$100. It seriously was such an upgrade to our bedroom, aesthetically and functionally, it's hard to even describe it or put it into words. And it's little purchases like that that can make all the difference in your space. Ready to upgrade your home for way less? Head to Wayfair.com right now to shop all things home and get your space ready for less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R dot com. Wayfair, every style, every home.

Nothing makes you appreciate good bedding more than a hot summer night, especially when your air conditioning is broken like ours was recently. I don't want to talk about it. Having something that's lightweight, breathable, cool, and easy to sleep in, no matter how hot it gets, is so freaking important. That's why I love Quince. It's been my go-to for bedding for so long now, with high-quality materials like 100 % European linen and organic cotton.
25:03You can literally feel the difference. I love waking up not sweaty. Quince has everything you need to make your bed feel cooler, lighter, and more comfortable for summer. From breathable sheets to linen shams and duvet covers in soft, seasonal colors, relaxed stripes, and timeless neutrals. My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets and duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy and even has a cooling effect, which is obviously perfect for those hot summer nights. I also love the look of it. It's a soft gray gingham and just has this classic look that instantly elevates our bedroom.
25:34And I love knowing that we're sleeping on 100 % cotton and not some cheap polyester blend. I also love their Mulberry Silk pillowcases and eye masks. They help keep your hair smooth and skin hydrated overnight because they don't absorb your natural oils like other materials do. Quince bedding is made for literal beauty sleep, you guys. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 percent less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical manufacturers and cut out the middleman. 26:48Danielle Bernstein:Yeah, I came across this TikTok of someone saying how if we were in the 80s, it was like a day and you would take some photos. but I think people now, to your point, are doing so many things for social media. And we've become a part of this culture and this community where we're not even chasing money, we're chasing attention. And I think that's what these influencers are ultimately trying to get. And when your livelihood is attached to both attention and money, the more clicks you get, the more likes you get, it means more money in your pocket, it becomes an addiction. And we're now doing it exclusively for the photo, for the TikTok, for the real.
27:25Danielle Bernstein:And I feel sad because I think a lot of people without living in the moment and just remembering what this day is actually even for, it's fully just for what this is going to look like on Instagram, unfortunately. And it just becomes, like you said, we really are losing the plot. And I always think of it like this. If your wedding couldn't be memorialized on Instagram, what would you do? How would it look? Would it look any differently? And I bet you 100 % of the time for these influencers, it would look vastly different. front if it was truly just a moment to celebrate the nuptial. And what else was I going to say about about Danielle Bernstein?
28:01Danielle Bernstein:I also just think it's really tacky that she's making her guests shop these affiliate links again that she's going to get commission off of. But the fact that she's not even paying for it. Listen, Danielle, you are a very wealthy person. You've built an incredible business that is I mean, you're a millionaire, multimillionaire. You should treat your guests to these shoppable links if you're requiring them to shop off of there. And also let's stop pretending as if your wedding is the event of the century for your guests. Your guests are going to be guests and to support you. Stop acting like they have thousands of dollars to shell out for your big day.
28:40Danielle Bernstein:I'm sorry, that's so short-sighted and so selfish and I'm tired of it. Yeah, that's such a good point that I feel like a lot of these brides on Instagram, like Danielle Bernstein, a lot of these influencers, they cannot wrap their heads around the fact that this is not going to be the biggest event of your guests lives. This is the biggest event of your life. The world does not revolve around you. And Danielle Bernstein, it's like, I don't think she would ever be able to grasp that. And look, I mean, like being a bride and getting married is such an exciting time in your life. And I definitely encourage people to like savor those moments and do the bridal shower and do the bachelorette party and do the things.
29:19I just feel like, like we said, it's gotten just a little bit much. It's a little out of control with the events and the outfits and the five day bachelorette parties. And just, I don't know. It's just a lot. And like the wedding size engagement party. Hello?
29:33Danielle Bernstein:It's just, come on guys. In my mind, if you're going to have such an extravagant bachelorette party that extends across five days, in my opinion, you should be paying for it. Is that a hot take? Oh, for sure. And I feel like they probably did. Like a lot of these influencers like Ella Rose and Jordan Sloan, I'm sure paid for the house and treated their guests at the bachelorette party to tons of gifts and free stuff. I'm sure. Yeah. But at the same time, it's just like, again, I feel like it's all for show and for content. And like, that's kind of what it's come down to with just their lives in general is that everything is content and that's how they make money and that's how they make a living.
30:12And it's like, why wouldn't they milk the stridal era? It makes good content. But it's just I don't know. I'm glad that I got married last year. And I don't have to feel like I'm I would subconsciously feel like I was competing probably with some of these influencers. How could you not? It's like, oh, my God, they have seven outfit changes. I only had two.
30:32Danielle Bernstein:It breeds a very vapid and shallow culture that we already feel on a day to day basis. I I already feel when I watch these day in my life and I see people, you know, making these really beautiful matches in the morning and having a slow morning. I'm like, I'm barely making it out alive once I get to my car to make my commute, to be honest. So you just feel this comparison. And I can't imagine how that would feel if you were planning a wedding, which is already a lot of pressure to look your best, to have your guests experience the best, one of the best nights or best weddings of their lives. There's a lot of pressure already.
31:04Danielle Bernstein:And then to feel that multiply by two, just because you're comparing yourself to Ella Rose and Danielle Bernstein, that fucking sucks. So if you're planning a wedding and you're watching these influencers, don't feel like you need to go all out. Like it's not, what they're doing is frankly not comfortable for the guests either. I would feel just, it's such an obligation to attend these fucking five-day events. Let me have my days. I don't want to go to your fucking five-day wedding. I'm sorry. Yeah. And just remember that your wedding is about you marrying the love of your life, which is a very special and amazing thing.
31:33It's not for the content, honestly. I never finished posting all of my wedding content. Maybe I will eventually, maybe on our one year anniversary, I will. Not to be like, oh my God, I'm such a pick me, you guys. I barely posted on Instagram because I posted a lot on Instagram about my wedding. But yeah, it's not about that. It's not about the content. So just keep that in mind, even though it feels. And I feel like also there's this new thing that's like a wedding content creator where you hire not just a photographer and videographer, but someone to make TikToks and reels and capture stuff on an iPhone for your Instagram.
32:07And it's like an interesting concept. It's good for some of these influencers. Like Eli Rallo mentioned that she is going to have seven people helping her capture content on her wedding day. That makes sense for her too, though. I'm like, I get it. Yeah, she's an influencer. But then it's like just regular people are doing that too, which also is if that's a priority of yours, then great. I'm not judging. I almost wish that I had like more iPhone content, more just regular content. Luckily, my sister-in-law, shout out Rachel, did a really, really, really good job of taking so many pictures and videos.
32:37So she was basically my content creator at my wedding. But yeah, I don't know. It's just, it feels like that it's all about content now, these weddings. It's just, it's crazy. There's something very dystopian about it, but it's whatever you decide to do on your wedding day is your prerogative. I'm not judging if you have 70 outfit changes and if you have a content creator, great. Just keep in mind that like, it's not all about the content.
33:02Danielle Bernstein:Yeah. And don't force your guests to spend more than they already have to on frivolous things. Yeah. It's already expensive. Yeah. Like on my wedding website, I keep bringing it back to my wedding. I'm like, so when I got married, but on my wedding website and I said, this is what I would like our guests to wear, but please do not feel pressured to buy something new. If you don't have something already that falls in this color palette, don't worry about it. Yeah. Both of my friends that are getting married this year about their bachelorette, they're like, if you were even getting one iota of anxiety about having to pay for this, do not attend.
33:37Danielle Bernstein:I assure you it'll be fine because you shouldn't make your guests feel that way. Yeah. Everyone's in different financial situations. Yeah. Can we talk about Selena Gomez's mother's company, Wondermine? Have you heard about all this debauchery? Yeah, so I saw something in passing, I think on The Cut's Instagram. And I once again, because I'm so unprepared and didn't prepare at all for this episode, apparently, I didn't read the article. So I would love for you to sum it up for us. Okay, so The Cut published an article on September 3rd. So no more than two weeks ago. And if you guys are unfamiliar with the company Wondermine, it's a company that Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefy, started alongside another woman named Daniela Pearson.
34:18Danielle Bernstein:Selena Gomez was kind of the face, but really Selena has nothing to do with this company. They were platforming, Wondermine, kind of like a psychology today. They almost wanted to be like a barstool sports in media for therapy. So they wanted like podcasts. They wanted video. They wanted books all under this umbrella, almost like Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine. It becomes a production company made off of books. So in any case, it seemed very aligned with Selena's brand, who's really been a mental health advocate. And in 2020, you know, she revealed on Instagram Live that she was diagnosed with bipolar.
34:50Danielle Bernstein:And she explained that this diagnosis was truly a gift because she was able to embrace the truth and it had empowered her. And if you guys are familiar with Selena Gomez's Rare Beauty makeup brand, she has a Rare Beauty foundation. And they provide some proceeds of the sales to a mental health organization. So very much on brand. But Selena Gomez really has next to nothing to do with the brand. It's all her mother's kind of bread and butter, her mom's passion project. Mandy Teefy, Selena's mother, has been experiencing bizarre – her behavior has been very erratic and bizarre according to staffers that work at Wondermind.
35:25Danielle Bernstein:And so there was one anecdote that I found kind of troubling. So Mandy would oftentimes sleep in her office at the corporate offices somewhere in Los Angeles. She would sleep there days at a time. And one night she expressed that she was experiencing hallucinations. She texted a specific staffer in the middle of the night and said someone was drilling outside. And she said she was looking into the ring camera footage and someone was whispering to her in the ring camera, go to sleep. Oh my God, that's so creepy. And she said that she was freaked out. She was erratically texting the staffer and the staffer looked at the ring camera.
36:03Danielle Bernstein:She saw nothing of the sort. No person whispering to go to sleep, no drilling. She was like, this is weird. I don't see what she's talking about. So Mandy had demanded the staffer to come into the office and help her. And so when this person arrived, there were cops outside of the building, but no arrests were made, and there was no evidence of any trespass happening. And even before this, Mandy had been exhibiting very odd, erratic behavior. So she would have around-the-clock mobile nurses coming to distribute IV drips to her. And a lot of these IV drips would include antihistamine drips. It's like, you know, when you're hungover and you get those mobile IV services, she would have those around-the-clock.
36:35Danielle Bernstein:and she has, I guess, pretty severe allergies. So she would ensure that there were antihistamine drips in the vials. And apparently if you take too much of Benadryl or some type of antihistamine, you can't experience hallucinations as a symptom. And so they assume maybe that's why she saw that person in the ring camera that wasn't actually there. But beyond that, she will be watching Schitt's Creek like in the middle of the day, middle of working hours. She would order McDonald's, Chinese food, Krispy Kreme, and just leave them out in the office and flies would just basically surround the kitchen for days at a time.
37:09It's giving cupcakes and cashmere.
37:11Danielle Bernstein:Yes. I was going to say it's also giving Theranos as well if you watch the Hulu documentary or Hulu series. Yeah. She would sleep in the office for days at a time and she would sometimes have Grace, who is Selena's half-sister and Mandy's teenage daughter, come and sleep over at the corporate offices sometimes even though she has a home in Woodland Hills, which is in the valley of Los Angeles. That kind of concerned employees because she was having her young teenage daughter just sleep in the middle of the night in these corporate offices in the middle of LA. They also said that Mandy was snorting Ritalin in the middle of the working day to keep her up.
37:42Danielle Bernstein:In March, Wondermind failed to pay employees. And oh my God, working in finance to not pay our employees, that is the biggest grievance you could ever experience as a company. Like, oh yeah, you're not okay. And in May, after paychecks failed to go out on schedule again, so two months later from the initial incident, The debacle leaked to the press and people were furious but unsurprised. Mandy was apparently just raw dogging the company, having no idea what it meant to run a business. Maybe if you had a business you were passionate about, then she would know what it's like to run a business. But she doesn't.
38:14Danielle Bernstein:Many believe that Selena kind of pushed this project over to Mandy and said, I want to keep you out of my orbit. I want you to have your own thing. I don't want you to bother me. Just do this wonder mind thing. It seemed as if Selena and her mom didn't really see eye to eye. So sometimes Selena would come to the office a few, a handful of times, and people present in the office would say that she spent most of her time speaking to Mandy behind closed doors. She rarely mentions Wondermind in public appearances, Selena. And her social media posts promoting the company, according to employees, were the result of the team just pushing it on her.
38:46Danielle Bernstein:Just post this, post that. And it was like pulling teeth, one person said. We'd have to call her publicist four times to get her to post these things. And this is probably one of the funnier anecdotes. So in June of the company's first year, Wondermind, they held a dinner at the Tower Bar in Sunset Tower in WeHo. I've been there and it is so fucking expensive. And I was listening to Shannon Fluently Forward's Patreon episode about this. And she explained, working in a startup industry, you're so scrappy. You're not trying to spend the most exorbitant like dollars on like a five-star hotel bar.
39:19Danielle Bernstein:But of course, they don't give a fuck about their finances. They're taking all these people to one of the most expensive restaurants in Hollywood. and it seemed when Selena was present at this dinner she wasn't taking it seriously. She arrived incredibly drunk, slurring her words, telling the table over a martini that she would be leaving shortly to go have sex and she didn't she didn't want to be bothered with this event anymore. It's just bad. Oh my god. It just seems and there's a lot more. I feel like there could be a whole other episode on Mandy TV but it's if you're familiar with Selena Gomez's background, She grew up in a very impoverished, like poor family.
39:53Danielle Bernstein:Mandy didn't have a lot. She also had Selena when she was very young. She experienced a lot of mental psychological breakdowns when Selena was a kid. Like it seems like there's a lot more there with Mandy's own mental health and similarly with Selena's. So I don't know. It's funny because with Selena Gomez, she has such a fabulous PR team that anything negative about Selena typically does not get scrubbed from the internet very quickly. but I think this just kind of gives you a look behind the curtain of what Selena's upbringing might have been like. Yeah. And it seems like, I mean, like you kind of touched on that.
40:29They don't have the best closest relationship. And she, the fact that this cut article even ran, Selena's team clearly was not out to protect her mom at all.
40:42Danielle Bernstein:Yeah. That's a good point because it doesn't even shed a bad light on Selena. It's more so her mother. And when Selena Gomez first got started on the Disney Channel, her mom and her stepdad were managing her career. And once her and Justin had a really tumultuous public off and on relationship, Selena Gomez actually fired her mom and her stepdad from managing her. And they were estranged for a period of time. I think her mom was not happy about the Justin Bieber relationship and that caused friction in the relationship. But in any case, it seems like they have a very up and down mother-daughter relationship despite telling the press, oh, we have this very, speaking of Gilmore Girls, very Gilmore Girls, Lorelei and Rory type relationship.
41:21Danielle Bernstein:All is not what it appears to be. So if you guys are interested in us doing a Patreon episode on it, let us know. But I think there's definitely more to this story than just Wonder Mind. Tons of lore. I'm definitely going to read this article after we're done recording. It's fascinating. There's a lot. And it's free. It's not one of those behind the paywall. Oh, it's not paywalled? Correct. Yeah. Nice. Gotta love it. Sorry, I know journalists deserve to be paid for their work, but at the same time, it's tough out there. Yeah. Sometimes we just want to read it without paying$4.99, but we support journalists who do require us to pay.
41:58Support journalism 100%. Yep.
42:01Danielle Bernstein:Can you walk me through the Hallie Kate thing in the hospital? Oh, yeah. So did you see this? I've been seeing it on New York City Influencer Snark, but I'm not as to date. So Miss Hallie Kate Magookan, she is a very, very, very big popular influencer. She posted on TikTok the other day that she was in the hospital. She was like, I have been in the hospital for days on end. I'm sorry if that's why. It seemed like she was, I guess, posting recycled content. So she was like, if you notice that I've been posting old content or if I've been a little MIA, it's because I've been in the hospital. She was in tears saying, I've been in the hospital for several days now.
42:40I don't know if there's any end in sight. So yeah, that's why I've been a little MIA. So obviously people were concerned and saying, oh my God, what's wrong? Are you okay? Can you tell us, you know, what's going on? And that's a very alarming thing to say. I've been in the hospital for several days and I'm going to be in the hospital for who knows how much longer. She also said that she upgraded her room so that she wouldn't have to share a room with other patients in the hospital. She got her own hospital room. Was posting like a bunch of hospital content basically. And people were understandably concerned, curious.
43:15And she got very defensive in her comments and in follow-up videos saying, I do not owe you shit about my medical diagnosis. I don't owe you anything. Stop asking me, you guys. I'm not asking for your advice or your questions. And it's like, I agree that it's no one's business. Of course. Private medical information, but. I completely agree. But maybe don't post in the first place if you're going to get mad at your followers showing concern.
43:46Danielle Bernstein:This reminds me of people, like an elementary school kid saying something like in class, it's like bombshell thing. And everyone's like, what? But I can't talk about it. You just want attention. The hospital like bracelet. Yeah. Yeah. Like, dude, come on. Then don't if you want it to be a private matter, which you are totally deserve that privacy. I'm not asking you to divulge your medical diagnosis, but then don't post if you want it to keep it private without causing question. It's giving the girl in grade school who's crying. And then her friend is like, guys, stop. She doesn't want to talk about it.
44:19She just needs privacy right now. And everyone's like, why is she crying? She just needs privacy. She doesn't
44:23Danielle Bernstein:want to talk about it only I know yes I'm the one who had given this information but no one else can know step away six feet give me a break she needs her privacy right now please please please no pictures no flash photography please oh my humans too but give me a break this is so this is so thirsty and again we're not saying she needs to divulge anything to us but then do not freaking post and then don't get mad it was the fact that she was like defensive and angry that people were curious why she was in the hospital and concerned. She has a very parasocial following. She has been around for a really long time.
45:00Of course, your followers are curious, like why you've been in the hospital for days. And she was getting mad at them. And it's like, OK, well, you're the one that brought it up. What? She ultimately said it's because she had an ulcerative colitis flare up, which can be very bad. I'm not super familiar.
45:15Danielle Bernstein:That's really serious. Yeah, I'm not super familiar with ulcerative colitis, but apparently she had a very bad flare up. So she did eventually divulge why she was in the hospital. Wishing her all the best, honestly. Yeah, that's it. I'm wishing her a speedy recovery. That's a serious diagnosis. So yeah, I'm hoping she recovers soon. But yeah, if you don't want us asking questions, then please do not post it. I wouldn't have known either way. So just please. Please. I just, before we jump into our DEOs and LEOs, I just want to issue a quick correction because I'm sorry, I did not mention when we were doing our Colton Underwood episode last week that he was in a relationship with Allie Raisman before he went on The Bachelor.
45:53And because I didn't watch his season of The Bachelor, apparently he alluded to the fact that Allie Raisman, they didn't sleep together because of her past trauma. Didn't mention her by name, but was speaking on her trauma on his season of The Bachelor, which is just another reason why he is the worst. So thank you to the several listeners who pointed that out
46:14Danielle Bernstein:to me thank you guys i remember watching that scene because i did watch his season i don't think he straight up said i can't see maybe it might have been inferred but i think from what i recall from this conversation again it's been a couple years i think kaylin miller keys who's now married to dean was expressing her trauma because when she was in college she was sexually assaulted and i think someone had unfortunately roofied her drink or drugged her drink and she She woke up and she had realized she had been assaulted. And then Colton was trying to identify or relate her experience in some sort of way by saying, my ex, again, not naming Ali Raisman by name, but we all knew it at that point.
46:51Danielle Bernstein:Yeah. It was public news that when the USA Gymnastics. Larry Nassar. Yes, was sexually assaulting all of the gymnasts. But he said, my ex had experienced something very similar and we worked through it together. I can't remember the exact verbage, but that was the context of the conversation. But regardless of if he was inferring that they didn't sleep together because of it or not, it's not his place to talk about any of his ex's assaults, period. Exactly. Thank you for the additional context there. Yeah. Colton Underwood is the fucking worst. If you guys didn't listen to our Colton episode last week, go give it a listen after this.
47:23Okay. So let's get into our DEOs and LEOs. What is your dark energy object of the week, Christy?
47:31Danielle Bernstein:Okay. So I purchased a new rug, and it's a big rug. It's a living room rug. Love. And as you know, they're very heavy. And, you know, I'm just, you know, I'm so frail. I'm so, you know, small and frail. No, I'm just kidding. I'm really strong, actually. I take LaGree and I have muscles for days and I have the gymnast and all these things. In any case, I am a single woman who I don't have a man to help me move these. So when I talk, Sophie's been in my house. I have a big wraparound couch. My ass hauled every couch to different areas of the home so I could remove the existing rug and roll out the new rug.
48:06Danielle Bernstein:Oh my God. When I tell you, I was sweating and every muscle was being oriented and used and I got it and it's looking fabulous and I have to pat myself on the back. But when I tell you, it took me probably four hours, like when all was said and done. I'm so impressed. Honestly, like that's why when you move, putting down the rugs is the first thing you should do. Obviously, I'm not telling you guys anything groundbreaking because when you try to to put in a new rug when you have furniture there it's like the hardest thing in the entire world please please it was genuinely a traumatic experience like I was and I had to drag the rug has been sitting in my garage for for over two months now I was like I'm just you know what today's gonna be the day I was gonna hire a task for a bit and I would have done it with you when I was in town no no no please it genuinely would have broken no it would have ended our friendship Yeah, yeah.
49:01In a relationship. It would have been too stressful. Yeah, it's so stressful. What I tell you guys, Henry and I literally almost broke us when we put our bedroom rug in under our, our bed was already here. We had to put our bedroom rug under the bed.
49:16Danielle Bernstein:No. Oh my God, no. I'm like, my heart goes with you and Henry during this difficult time. Please respect your privacy. Oh my God, it's the worst. It almost broke us. That's so real. That's so real. Yeah, so that's mine. What are yours? I have a couple. So my first one is I was, like I said, kind of out and about yesterday for my friend's birthday. We got drinks in the West Village before we went to the polo bar. And I don't know if you read that. Speaking of the Cut articles, remember that Cut article that was like, it's good to be a West Village girl. Yeah, of course. And it was about how the West Village is basically one giant like frat party.
49:53Now it's where all the postgrads, all the very privileged, white, wealthy postgrads live. And great. I love the West Village. I always have fun when I'm there. But I would be Murray Hill.
50:03Danielle Bernstein:Sorry to interrupt. Yes. Yes. Murray, Murray Hill. And it kind of still is where a lot of postgrads live. But the West Village is now like the trendy new postgrad spot. And I was we were sitting outside. So great people watching. And my friend and I noticed we were like, everyone dresses the same now. And it's Sambas. And this is keep in mind. Yeah, you know, beautiful September day, day drinking. You know, I don't expect people to be wearing anything too crazy. It's a fall uniform. Fine. But literally everyone was dressed the exact same. And it's Samba's jeans and a white tee or like otherwise plain tank top baggy jeans.
50:42Yes. Little shoulder bag. Yep. And I mean, it's like if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Great outfit formula. But it's crazy that everyone was dressed the exact same. It honestly was like creepy to me.
50:54Danielle Bernstein:Do you know what this is actually reminding me of, Sophie? in 2016 when everyone, including myself, had that green jacket. Yeah. The Adidas. Always comes back to 2016. Yup. And the crisscross. The uniform. That was the uniform. But at least in 2016, we all had different combat boots. Yeah. Combat boots too. Oh my God. No, everyone has the exact same Sambas. Yeah. It's the brown ones. I mean, like the color varies sometimes, but in general, they're the exact same Sambas, like the exact same Adidas Sambas. Like I've never worn that outfit in my life, but I it's because I would look like a parachute if I had raggy jeans on.
51:34What happened to like individuality? I just, I miss it. And I'm, I'm all for, you know, I follow trends a lot too. I'm not acting like I'm this like big, crazy maximalist, but I don't know. Like it kind of makes me sad. Like I want people to like dress different again.
51:50Danielle Bernstein:You have some big crazy Max on the list. Yeah, like I know I'm not. I'm a basic bitch also. But maybe it's like if I were Gen Z, I would understand. Yeah, I think that's what it is. I think that's what it is, unfortunately. Like I don't think we're in that culture anymore for us to fully understand. I've aged out of it. If I were a 22-year-old in 2025, like if I were born in the year 2003, I would be wearing Sambas and baggy jeans right now. Oh, I mean, absolutely. Well, we can ask Rachel, our Gen Z correspondent, social manager. Let us know, Rachel. So is that what the kids are doing? Yeah. No, literally, I can tell you firsthand that that is what the kids are doing.
52:25At least all of the ones in the West Village yesterday. Yeah. Another thing I want to talk about is, did you see Kristen Cavallari's Uncommon James brand is launching skincare?
52:34Danielle Bernstein:Coming from the girl that doesn't wear sunscreen, I've heard enough. We've suffered enough. If you are buying this, you are a hack. And I mean this in a way that I'm trying to protect you. Do not buy this shit. Seriously, it pisses me off. Every time. She's in Cabo. Every time she posts herself in Cabo, her skin is burnt to the crisp. And you know what? I'll give it to her. She looks fucking incredible. But moving forward, as you get older and older, your skin will not be that tight and bouncy. She's got to protect herself. And the fact that she's launching a skincare brand, it's an insult to my intelligence, to be honest.
53:11It's actually crazy. First of all, what does skincare have to do with jewelry? Uncommon James is a jewelry brand. We don't need another celebrity skincare brand, second of all. Third of all, you're right. She has publicly said that she doesn't use sunscreen because sunscreen has like parabens or toxins or whatever. And it's like, oh, the sun doesn't. The sun, raw exposure to the sun is good for you? No, absolutely not.
53:37Danielle Bernstein:Why do you think all Asians look so good? It's because they refuse to go in the sun. That's why they look forever young until they're like 100 and they just like their backs break and then they're like a turtle. But yeah, it's stupid. So nefarious. It's so weird. Like what? I just don't understand. Like what is the connection? What is the connection between jewelry and skincare? Because Uncommon James is a jewelry brand. She did release a couple of makeup-esque stuff. Like she has bronzing drops in her Uncommon James line. This is not her first endeavor towards skin, unfortunately. That's so fucking weird to me.
54:11Danielle Bernstein:It is really. Uncommon Beauty. Excuse me. That's what it was. Uncommon Beauty? minimalist skincare brand. This episode is brought to you by State Farm. 55:18I am marrying a stranger. Like never before. Am I crazy? It's a whole new Married at First Sight on Peacock. Thank God I woke up in love. With new experts. My name is Dr. Lisa. My name is Paul Brunson. More couples. This could be the start of a very successful marriage. And more surprises. Or maybe not. Everything is just not enough. You're a little bit crazy. I don't know what's going to happen. I want my fairytale ending. Married at First Sight, now streaming. New episodes Thursdays, only on Peacock.
56:14Anticipating stores only while supplies last visit store for full terms.
56:17Danielle Bernstein:Yeah, she has gluthionine serum. I'm going to stick with what the dermatologists tell me. Thank you. Oh, my God. It's so weird. It's hacky. Oh, a water cream retails for$52. That's literally as expensive as the medical grade. That's the price range of her. No, there's no fucking way. That's insane. Oh, you'll get a load of this. Anti-aging skincare essentials duo. The glutathione serum and retinol is$83. And that's on sale, by the way, before it retails at$104. You can get a legit luxury skincare brand for these prices. Do not put this shit on your face. Like, what the actual fuck? Oh, my God.
56:57Danielle Bernstein:She has a coffee scrub, a dry body scrub, and it literally just looks like ground up coffee beans. You guys, please do me a favor. If that sounds good to you, though, get Frank's Frank Body. Frank Body has really good coffee scrub that is trusted, tried and true. Tried and true, yeah. I've used it myself for years. Get that instead. There are so many legit beauty brands. Do not put this garbage on your face. Your skin is your most important organ. I'm embarrassed to be associated to even be talking about this if I'm going to be honest. I actually take great, what's the word? Offense. I take great offense to this.
57:36Yeah, no, it's offensive.
57:38Danielle Bernstein:You know, I take skincare sketch comedy very seriously. I take skincare very seriously as a Sophie. This is an insult to my intelligence and I want to hear nothing further about this. Thank you. Yeah. Okay, then let's move on. I just want to quickly touch on the summer I turned pretty. I know that you don't watch Christy. It has gone off the fucking rails the past few episodes and I'm done with it. I'm ready for it to be done. I'm so sick of Jeremiah. His acting is so bad. even Conrad like I love Christopher Briney in general he's the actor that plays Conrad his acting in the last episode was really weird and there's just like this major disconnect between like Conrad's pining for belly and then we're not really seeing belly pine for Conrad so Conrad just looks like a creepy stalker serial killer and there's one episode left and I feel like there's just so many loose ends everyone's being so mean to Conrad Stephen was being so mean to Conrad no one cares that Jeremiah cheated on belly.
58:37I don't know. It's just like, it's really gone off the rails. I feel like it feels like a different show, the Paris of it all. And I'm like, just again, ready for it to end. I mean, I know that I keep telling you to watch the summer. I turned pretty. I feel like it's been a fun ride up until these past few episodes.
58:55Danielle Bernstein:Yeah. Yeah. Well, I believe you because I don't watch it. So I'll take your word for it. I was thinking about watching it, but now I'm kind of turned off. I'm going to start girls before I start TSI. Yeah, you should. You absolutely should. Okay. Moving on to light energy objects. I have two. One is finishing a bottle of something, whether it be perfume, like my Charlotte Tilbury finishing spray, cleaning supplies, like finishing something and getting away to throw the empty bottle is so satisfying because you know you got your true money's worth. It's not like, oh, I lost it or like, oh, I just ended up buying it and didn't use it.
59:29Danielle Bernstein:No, no, no. When something is depleted and there's nothing left, it's so satisfying to me. Yeah. And it's also like, I love this product. Like now, you know, you have a product that you genuinely love, genuinely use and can buy again, knowing that it works. Yeah. It's a tried and true. Second is in my relaxing weekend, I watched the movie, Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret. That was released in 2023. It has Kathy Bates and Rachel McAdams. And growing up, Are You There, God, It's Me, Margaret by Judy Blume was my favorite book. I read it probably like five different times. And I haven't read it, obviously, in like decades.
1:00:08Danielle Bernstein:But watching the movie, I felt like it was a great adaptation of the book. And I don't know, I just felt very nostalgic. And it was very well done. It has a 99 % on Rotten Tomatoes. So if you guys are interested in watching it, it's on Netflix. I know, I feel like I need to. Did you watch the, let me read the book? Yeah, like obviously when I was very, very, very young, but love Kathy Bates. I'm gonna have to check it out. It's very, very good. What are yours? So Hilary Duff announced that she is releasing new music, which is very exciting. Rolling Stone, I think, released that, right? I think they're the ones that had the headline.
1:00:43Had the exclusive. I don't know. Like I saw it literally on her Instagram and this is great for us, you guys. This is great news. Great news. For those of us.
1:00:55Danielle Bernstein:Hilary Duff's Spotify searches increased 400 % after music come back. Guys, millennials, we won. We're so back. And then my last one is, I can't believe I haven't talked about my new couch yet. So we got a new couch. It's a love sack couch. I am obsessed with it. It was a good run with my old couch. It was great. It was a pullout. So it was always great for, you know, when guests stayed over. I had it in four different apartments for eight years. And so it was, it had a good run. It was time, but our love sack is so amazing because they're literally sec. It's a sectional TM. And this is not sponsored love sack.
1:01:38If you want to sponsor our show, please reach out. But no, I just love this couch. It's so comfy. It's so deep. It's just like the best ever, such an upgrade, but there are literally sections like it delivered in different boxes. We put it together ourselves, but it's section. So it makes moving in New York city very, so much easier, first of all, because that's always the hardest thing is maneuvering like a couch through a tiny New York city hallway. It's literally just sections that you, it has like little clips that you can clip them together. Same with mine when I was doing my rug. Yeah. Love it.
1:02:11Love it. Yeah. It makes life so much easier if we get a new rug, like you just, you don't have to move a whole connected couch. You can take it apart and you have more manageable little sections. But the best part is that when we eventually, God willing, move, can afford like a real home, a house, we can extend the couch with more sections. We can like build onto it.
1:02:33Danielle Bernstein:Oh my God. So like Jack's, it could be a work in progress. Yeah. Literally. Jack also has a love sack. Remember, didn't you bring it up? Yeah. He also said that his love sack was like$20 ,000. His love sack couch, Ours was not that much. Dude, it's not our age. Give me a break. Shut up. Yeah, like, please, please. That's on you if you spent$20 ,000 at Love Sack. They were actually having a Labor Day sale. And I know it sucks because it's like obviously over now. But we got ours for like a pretty good price. And we love it. And we're going to have it forever because now we can keep building onto it.
1:03:03It's a work in progress.
1:03:04Danielle Bernstein:You're no angel either, sweetheart. Shout out to other furniture companies. I personally love and got my couch from Living Spaces. is that how the song goes yeah i love living spaces like people sleep on living spaces but i'm telling you right now it's a great shout out shout out to living spaces and also one of our sponsors lola blankets it literally is the soft like i'm not exaggerating it is the softest blanket like we have a lot of great blankets we have a lot of anthro blankets and just we got some from our wedding registry a lot of great throw blankets nothing compares to our lola blanket i swear and i know that they're a sponsor.
1:03:43I'm not just saying that we fight over the little blanket. We're like, no, like I want to use it.
1:03:48Danielle Bernstein:It's legit. I have like a Jenny Kane blanket. It doesn't even hold a candle to the lower. It is luxurious. It's literally feels like butter. No, it actually does. And it has this little like stretch to it too. Like it's so soft and perfect. So it's like my new couch, new blanket. I'm like a new woman. Oh my God. I'm ready for cozy season. I'm still dying it. When we had the rug, it almost broke us. It literally almost destroyed our marriage. Anyway, you guys. Oh, if you do want a Lola Blanket, again, like they are a sponsor, but I'm not just saying this. You have to feel it for yourself. It's so worth it.
1:04:27We have a code for 35 % off, which is huge, huge discount. Use code SNARK for 35 % off your own Lola Blanket. I swear to God, it's so worth it.

1:06:05Your home design should feel like you.
1:06:41It became an absolute eyesore. So I searched for closed wicker laundry bins on Wayfair that could hide the mess and add like a chic beachy touch to our bedroom. And I found the perfect one for under$100. It seriously was such an upgrade to our bedroom aesthetically and functionally. it's hard to even describe it or put it into words. And it's little purchases like that that can make all the difference in your space. Ready to upgrade your home for way less? Head to Wayfair.com right now to shop all things home and get your space ready for less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R.com. Wayfair, every style, every home.
1:07:17Danielle Bernstein:The weather has been beautiful lately, which means I'm pretty much always out and about doing things. Errands, workouts, beach days, you name it. And of course, I need clothes that can actually keep up with all of that. That's why I joined Fabletics as a VIP. It completely changed how I shop and refresh my wardrobe when it needs an upgrade. New VIPs unlock major savings on their first purchase, so stocking up on practical, comfortable, and cute pieces doesn't feel like some major splurge. When I signed up as a new VIP with Fabletics, I got 70-80 % off everything. It made it super easy to grab multiple matching sets, shorts, tanks, and lounge pieces for summer without overthinking it.
1:07:54Danielle Bernstein:And genuinely, you guys, the quality is so good. Fabletics pieces feel like ultra luxe activewear you'd expect from those other high-end brands. You know the ones. But without the hefty price tag. These pieces are built to actually last. And I love that for me. My absolute favorite piece I've gotten is the anywhere cropped bra tank. It's the perfect workout top that I can throw on for a workout or to just record, run errands, go to lunch, everything in between. I love how easy getting dressed is with Fabletics. And how put together I look without having to actually think about it. Shop now at fabletics.com slash snark to get 70 to 80 % off everything when you sign up as a new VIP.
1:08:28Danielle Bernstein:Take a quick style quiz and be sure to select snark when prompted to unlock this offer. This is a limited time offer, so don't wait. Again, that's fabletics.com slash snark for 70 to 80 % off everything as a new VIP.
1:09:02You can literally feel the difference. I love waking up not sweaty. Quince has everything you need to make your bed feel cooler, lighter, and more comfortable for summer. From breathable sheets to linen, shams, and duvet covers in soft, seasonal colors, relaxed stripes, and timeless neutrals.
1:09:33And I love knowing that we're sleeping on 100 % cotton and not some cheap polyester blend. So you're paying for quality materials without the luxury markup. Make your summer bedding feel better.
