1:17hey everybody welcome back to another episode of snark bait i'm christy i'm sophie how's it going I am good. Happy Jewish New Year to all of our Jewish baby Starks, Shana Tova. How is London? You're in London town. London town. Well, no, first, before we get into me, I was going to ask, what are some traditions that Jewish people do to celebrate the New Year? So apples and honey, which signifies a sweet new year. So had lots of apples and honey this weekend. I went to my in-laws. I have apples right here. I'm going to eat some after this. You just eat honey. You just eat honey. Yes, we have some honey.
2:00And then we also, I mean, it's not really necessarily a Rosh Hashanah tradition as much as just a Jewish tradition. Ate so much matzo ball soup and I'm so happy I have leftovers in the fridge right now, so I'm going to have that for lunch. and my mother-in-law is just like the best cook she makes everything from scratch she bakes from scratch she just like is so good so I'm so excited to eat my leftovers and yeah so wishing everyone a sweet new year all organic I love that sounds like she's a very organic queen and no I love that I love that for you guys happy new year um london is really good the weather is quite humid shockingly oh wow i'm like i've been sweating like genuinely sweating but i have to say tiktok is such a good travel companion in the sense of if you want to find ways to take good photos in really really like iconic places but you don't you want to like beat the crowds it'll show you like secret places to take good photos So we've been discovering that, and it's been a lot of fun.
3:06And, of course, hung out with Audrey and Miss Mo. And, no, it's honestly been a blast. And have you ever been to Deshoom? Have you been to London before? You have, right? I haven't. I haven't been to London in, like, 20 years. Oh, my gosh. So, no. I need to go back. Yes, you do. And it's so close for you from New York. I know it is. Like, I don't know why I haven't gone. I need to go. No, you have to come. The flight is like basically equidistant from when you come to see me and come to California. But yes, it's been lovely. There's this place called Dishoom and it's an Indian restaurant in the UK.
3:44I don't know if it's exclusively in London or if it's throughout the UK, but we've gotten it. We're going to get it again tonight. And we just get it through like their version of Jordache called Deliveroo. And I was telling Audrey. Deliveroo? It would be called Deliveroo. So cute. And Audra goes, you would get dishewn. Like, all Americans love that. I'm like, oh, really? Oh, because she's like, it's a chain restaurant. It's like TGI Fridays in the UK. Yeah, yeah, yeah. She's like, Americans love it. But it's like amazing, amazing Indian food. And I love Indian food. Probably one of my favorite cuisines, honestly.
4:16So, no, it's been a lot of fun. And we have much to discuss because I know you and I have a hard stop. We have a lot of things going on in our busy day. And also, we apologize for just a little bit of a late published date. We both have just had really chaotic schedules over the last couple of days. So thank you for bearing with us. But we're happy to be here in your ears because we have much to talk about. Where do you want to start? I want to talk about the new season of Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. Have you watched this yet? I haven't. And I did look at your notes beforehand. They only have five episodes, it sounds like, for this season.
4:49Yes. So there's only five episodes because they stopped filming when the DB video scandal happened, which is when the video of Taylor Brinky Paul physically throwing a stool at Dakota in her daughter's presence surfaced right when her bachelorette season was about to air. And then they canceled the season. So this is when they they stop filming is when that happened. And I unfortunately I did everything I could to finish all five episodes this weekend. I'm at the the middle of the fourth episode. so I unfortunately have not finished all five episodes but so far I can tell you that Taylor Frankie Paul is unwell she is and we knew this but it is like another level she is genuinely unhinged yeah so she comes back so this is filmed after she comes back from filming The Bachelorette and she talks about how she is engaged to Doug from The Bachelorette that was the man that she chose her f1 and also spoiler alert spoiler alert spoiler alert if you have not watched the season of secret lives of mormon wives yet and you don't want to be spoiled as to some of the things that happen um skip ahead we have time stamps so they're approximate because we have ads but yeah skip ahead spoiler alert spoiler alert um but anyway she talks about being engaged to doug from the bachelorette she comes home also and has sex with dakota of course she does and then she's also in love with this guy named Ben.
6:21And it's like she is openly cheating on her fiance. And she also she also says, hey, I didn't think he was actually going to propose. And then he did. And it all just happened so fast. And oh, my God, I can't even see a world. So obviously, we know what happens, that her season of The Bachelorette ends up getting canceled because of this dv video that comes out and i i just don't see a world where this could have aired after the bachelorette season and because it makes the franchise look like a joke and i'm not the type of person that's like oh my god protect the sanctity of the bachelor franchise like i don't give a fuck but it literally makes the show look like a joke it makes the network look like a joke like it is so insulting also to all of the men who put themselves out there and yeah i'm sure they're all like thirsty losers, honestly.
7:12Like any guy that signs up for The Bachelorette, I'm sorry, probably not a standup guy, but they did put their, you know, put themselves out there, put their lives on hold to whether you believe they were there for the right reasons or not, search for love, whatever it is. Them being thirsty doesn't mean that they deserve to be made a mockery of. Yeah, totally. And I just, I just don't understand how this could have aired. Like how, like it is so crazy because she's talking about, oh yeah, like he just proposed I don't know. I guess he's my fiance, but I'm also fucking Dakota. And then I'm also in love with Ben.
7:45Quick question. Actually, about Ben. I did watch all seasons of Secret Lives very recently. Like, I binged it all. Is Ben that guy that she was kind of talking to? Yes. He's in that screenshot below on the doc, if you see. Yes, because I was like, he looks familiar. He looks like that guy that she was kind of flirting with before she left for The Bachelor. Yes, exactly. That's exactly who this is. And I think they met on, like, the internet or something. They did. He's just a regular guy. He's not in, like, Dad Talk or anything. He's just a regular guy. I think she was like a musician and she was like, oh, I liked his songs and I slid into his DMs and we had this flirty relationship.
8:15And this was like a week before she was set to leave for The Bachelorette. Yes. And then she comes home and she continues this fling with him, even though she's engaged to Doug. There's also one scene that is like so disturbing. And if you watched it, you'll know what I'm talking about. Dakota goes over to her house and she's acting all like shy and flirty and like, hi. And then all of a sudden asked him, were you fucking Shanae or Shania, whatever her name is. did you fuck this girl by the way he but then he was dating another girl during the season so and she's also engaged to another guy so it's like why do you care and she goes how many times did you fuck you fucked her how many times and she just snapped she goes from being shy and flirty to like snapping at him it is so scary it gave me whiplash like she actually is so fucking unhinged i cannot imagine and also dakota obviously he's no angel either sweetheart This is not to say that Dakota is some saint.
9:16I'm just talking about Taylor because we are watching her behavior this season. Dad Talk actually has a very minimal role. I think they listened to the feedback from last season where we do not care about those men. Don't want to watch them. So have barely seen any of the husbands, which is how I like it. Hot take. I didn't mind it that much, honestly. I was like, oh. Oh, I hated it. No, I know. I'm the only person that said that. Every scene of Dad Talk last season, I was like, get them off my screen. Fast forward. Yeah, enough. Um, so she is just, I just can't imagine being her friend. She must be exhausting to be friends with.
9:50And again, I think further, like I said, I'm only like on episode four right now. And I think based on the preview that she definitely has some, you know, clashes with some of the other mom talk ladies because she is so exhausting to be friends with. So male centered, so absolutely. And that's something that I've seen on this season so far is that she is going from Dakota to Ben. She went on The Bachelorette. And they're like, just be fucking single. And then she's neglecting her friendships at the same time. And they're like, what about us? Like, we're the ones that are here for you through all of this.
10:24They were so supportive. Yeah, so supportive. And she's always having some sort of, like, meltdown about her life. But then not realizing that she is the problem. Like, she is just so fucking unhinged. Like, it's not even enjoyable to watch anymore. It's actually really sad and it's very toxic to watch. Like, it actually is, like, the most toxic show on television right now. The bathtub scene with Ben, if you watch this, you'll know what I'm talking about. They're taking a bath together, like Tamra and Eddie style, in a New York hotel room. And she starts slurping out of the faucet like some sort of, like, cavewoman.
11:02And she goes, mmm, so good. It's New York City tap water. So, yes, New York City does have, like, the best tap water. But, like, she's so weird. She's so weird and unhinged. Jen Affleck is also so unhinged also. She's so, but, like, in a more boring way. Like, she's not as, you know, crazy to watch. She's just, like, boring and jealous and insecure and annoying. Of Whitney? Yes, very jealous of Whitney. Whitney has obviously so outgrown the show. She's still in these five episodes, but you can see that she is on the verge of leaving, which she eventually does. But yeah, so that is my rant about secret lives.
11:41Taylor Frankie Paul is just absolutely unhinged and terrifying to me. I was going to say that I remember in season four how horrible it was to watch her because you could see the mask kind of slipping. She presented herself, I wouldn't say well, but at least differently, seasons one through three. And by the time season four came around, she was acting so erratically and it was quite honestly very uncomfortable to watch. But now it seems like she's going full-fledged herself. And I have to honestly think, obviously, there are small children involved. She has several kids with Dakota and her former ex-husband.
12:16She has two children with her ex-husband and one with Dakota. Yeah. And I just think, genuinely, she needs a lot of help. Yes. And there is a lot of trauma there and the way that she's presenting herself. It's one thing to like go through trauma and be mentally unwell but like to have it displayed for everyone to watch on the most popular show on tv right now it's it's kind of scary honestly and i can only imagine like the way that her brain is talking and like the way that she's something is not firing and it's really sad like honestly it's just really sad yeah it's it's it's most sad for her kids, obviously.
12:54Like, it's just, she is completely not well. And I genuinely don't understand how she has fans left. And she has so many diehard fans. And if you are a diehard fan of Taylor Freaky Paul, even after watching the most recent season of Secret Lies of Mormon Wives, can you tell us why? Like, what is it you enjoy about her? What is it you, like, respect about her look up to her about because I just think that she is so toxic and so frightening quite honestly like she scares me yeah she's and that's not that shouldn't be a hot take either I think that her behavior is very troubling it's very concerning the fact that we're continuing to exploit it and Hulu's continuing to exploit it it almost feels wrong at this point there needs to be some kind of intervention and her family needs to move her out of the spotlight in my opinion I'm not fully sure what happens after these five episodes wrap I think that Whitney is obviously out.
13:48And then I think Taylor might be out. I could be misspeaking. But I think there is there was a concerted effort between the other women of MomTalk to get her off the show, get her help and, you know, make the show a little bit less toxic. Because when it's focused on Taylor, Frankie Paul and Dakota, it is like so hard to watch.
14:15Okay, I need to talk about something that has become a genuine issue in my house. Hank has decided that everything I own is actually his. And more specifically, my Lola blanket. Like, I'll get myself all set up on the couch, have my blanket, have Gilmore Girls playing, and I'm ready to fully rot for the evening. But within approximately 30 seconds, Hank's on top of me, pushing his way underneath the blanket, and just taking over. And I get it, because the second you feel a Lola blanket, you understand why. It's so soft, like ridiculously soft. Lola makes her blankets with this ultra soft luxury faux fur, and there's a reason they have over 20 ,000 five-star reviews.
14:49It really is next level. So when I saw that Lola actually created a Lola pet collection, I was like, okay, finally, Hank can have his own. The Lola pet bed has that same signature ultra soft faux fur, but it's actually designed specifically for pets, with an orthopedic foam base that supports their joints and helps them rest more comfortably. It's incredibly plush, holds its shape, and it's designed to help regulate temperature so your pet stays cozy around. And because this is a pet product and we all know what pets do to things, the cover is removable and machine washable. It's completely shed free and it has a durable double stitching so it's actually built to hold up.
15:25Essentially, your pet gets an insanely cozy bed and you finally get your Lola blanket back. And if you already have a Lola blanket, you know what I'm talking about. And if you don't have one, this is your sign. I'm telling you, once you feel it, you're going to understand the obsession. For a limited time, our listeners can get 40 % off. 18:17Speaking of, I don't know, unhingeness, I do want to talk about the toast joking about the Lindsay Clancy case on their episode that released last Thursday. we had a lot of dms of people asking us if we saw this do you know what i'm talking about sophie oh yeah it was a clip of them laughing about lindsey clancy yeah and we talked about not skinny but not fat last week and the way that she used the lindsey clancy trial to talk about whether like for sports betting or for betting excuse me not sports betting and i think similar to this vein i would even argue this might i don't know they're both pretty bad but this one was basically making a mockery of mental health quite blatantly and just laughing about it.
18:58And I found it quite disgusting. So Jackie and I watched the episode or watched the clip rather. And Jackie was talking about curating a playlist or something or some artist, musical artist, maybe it was like Miss Rachel. I don't know who it was talking about music. And she said, quote, if only someone sang it to Lindsay Clancy, things would have turned out different. And Claudia says, yeah, there are a couple of songs that if I were curating a playlist for Lindsay Clancy just in an effort to perhaps change her mind? And Jackie goes, yeah, and to boost morale. And Claudia said, yeah, like just around the house.
19:26And they're laughing while they're saying this. Claudia goes, did she try just putting on some music? What I think is really interesting is like Claudia and Jackie, when I used to watch the show, it's been a couple of years since I've listened to the show when the Elon thing happened. But Claudia would kind of dismiss mental health or therapy rather, not mental health therapy. And she would say, listen, I'm the most self-aware person ever. I don't need therapists. Like, I already know myself better than anyone else. I don't need someone to tell me, like, what's wrong with me. Okay, sure. That's, I guess, fine.
19:55But I think that when Jackie first had her first son, I believe his name is Harry, it was clear just from watching the show at that time when I did that Jackie was kind of going through just sadness. Like, she just didn't seem herself. And people were, like, kind of calling Jackie out and saying, like, hey, did simply putting on a certain musical artist or curating a playlist, Jackie, help with the sadness that you were feeling. And it's like, how fortunate do you have to be, Jackie and Claudia, to never understand mental healthists, mental health or psychosis or having a family member experience that?
20:26I certainly have. People very close to me and my family have experienced very, very alarming, concerning mental health episodes. And it's not for the faint of heart. And I would never wish that upon anyone. And I think it's very fortunate that it seems like they've never had to experience that. But at the same time, like, disabilities, having a mental health issue, it does not discriminate. And I think for you to poke fun at it and not just poke fun at it, but like giggle and laugh about it during this entire segment was in such poor form. And I actually saw this clip on the Morning Toast like snark subreddit, but it was a link to the Toaster subreddit.
20:58And typically that subreddit is very pro Jackie and Claudia. It's for toasters to come together and talk about how much they love Jackie and Claudia. But the way that that Toaster subreddit was on fire, it was unbelievable. People are saying like this is really so sad for them to be poking fun at mental health and postpartum psychosis. And especially a case where three children were murdered. Right. You are laughing about that. Like what is wrong with you? And it just felt, I felt very sad when I was looking at it. I'm like this is not something to laugh about or saying curating a playlist would have put her in a better mood.
21:36It's really, Tacky doesn't even begin to describe it. It's just horrific. I just know from this is just from my experience listening to them in the years that I did, they would often dismiss mental health. And I don't have specific concrete examples, to be honest, but I just recall them kind of pushing it to the side. And so it's just this take comes honestly is no surprise to me. I'm not shocked by them giggling. But at the same time, it's like. This is kind of unforgivable to me, and I've already felt a certain way about the girls. That's why I stopped listening and supporting them and supporting their Patreon and buying the merch like, listen, I talked about it.
22:11often before. We've had two Patreon episodes dedicated to them as to why I was at one point really obsessed with the show and thought they were hilarious to like kind of moving away from it. But this one made me really sad. And I think especially because they know what it's like to have children and maybe feel some baby blues. Jackie herself never confirmed that. It's just just based on the way that she was talking and interacting on the episodes after she had Harry, it just seems she was sadder, which is fine. It's a very normal experience. But it's like, How dare you? For someone who has understood what that's like to a degree, for you to just poke fun at it, it's not nice.
22:44So, I don't know. I was really disappointed. And I know that you guys wanted us to talk about this. So, those are my thoughts. Yeah. Yeah. It's just I mean, it's not surprising coming from them, unfortunately, at this point. But yeah, it's just have some have some tact, have some sympathy. It's just ignorant and sad. Yeah. And I I do think that. Yeah, again, I they're very fortunate to have never understood seemingly what it's like. And not only that, but just to talk so flippantly about such a devastating and serious case. Again, three children were murdered. Yeah. And you are giggling. And you know what it is?
23:34I think that when I did listen to them, it felt like, for my recollection, it seemed like Claudia was always trying to, like, soften the brunt of what Jackie would say that would sometimes seem a bit ignorant. but now it seems like because they've had so many quote-unquote cancellations at this point and they've said wrong things, I think the people that are left are pretty diehard at this point. Like, they have true fans. And I think at this point they've become so, like, don't give a fuck about whatever we say because we've lost enough people and the people that are willing to stay are here to stay.
24:08And it's also this mentality of, like, we're untouchable because we've gotten rid of the trash. They even said that at one point. That was one of their cancellations that we've talked about on Patreon. of them. They had this episode called Taking Out the Trash. Like, if you're going to hate on us for saying this, then we don't want you anyway, so leave. I think they've really leaned into that. And I think to a degree, it's good to not care about what people say, but also you have to have respect for something that's clearly a sensitive topic. So they really lost me on this one, and I was definitely very disappointed.
24:36Yeah. And that's what I mean by, like, it's not surprising coming from them because they don't give a fuck. And if you're still listening to them, then you understand that, I'm sure. At this point, you are aligned with that mentality, I think. Like, oh, just don't be politically correct. Say whatever the fuck I want, which is, again, that's fine for some people, but obviously, you know, makes us uncomfortable, which is why we are not toasters ourselves, obviously. Right. I want to switch gears. Did you, I want to talk about two Bravo things really fast. Did you watch the new Roni premiere? I haven't yet, but you, I know you loved it and several people in my life also loved it.
Read the full transcript
25:20And I'm curious, like what about it was so great? Okay. So I actually loved it and I obviously was not expecting to. This is like the reboot of the reboot. So obviously, you know, hopes are not high at this point. But two of the new girls, Daisy and Haley are really fun and I really enjoyed them. So we start with Daisy and her very like average apartment and Martha Stewart comes over because she's Martha Stewart's makeup artist. So I will say like where where is the wealth that we are you know searching for when we watch Real Housewives because you are like it's it's not a super like it's a very regular apartment but it's like you know we're we're used to I think our Real Housewives being wealthy obviously.
26:10But that said, I so really liked her and thought she was really fun and down to earth and just, I think that's why I like her is that she's a regular kind of person. She seems down to earth. I was going to say really quick, sorry to interrupt. I was just going to say that I feel like the wealth on Roni kind of started to dwindle when we had, I just remembered this, Leah McSweeney's apartment being, it was nice, no doubt. Yes. But it was just more average than, say, Ramona Singer or Bethany Frankel's or Dorinda's. Totally, totally. And then there's Haley Glassman, who used to date slash was the mistress of John Gosselin, which is fun.
26:46But she is very, very, very quirky. We first see her. She is rollerblading through the streets like Kelly Benzema style, but rollerblading with a fur coat, like smoking a J. And she calls her own marriage a lavender marriage because they both, I guess, step out on each other. And she hooks up with women and she talks about getting her nose broken by a woman that was uh fucking her with a strap on and um her her her big fake boobs uh broke her nose so this is all in the first episode this is like our first introduction to her wait that's so funny so definitely appreciate her candor and you know quirkiness i still love jessel i think jessel obviously was a good keep from the original reboot.
27:37Cy and Erin, I still struggle with. Oh, they were the worst. I only watched, I think, the first season. They were the worst. I know. I really struggle with both of them. Erin is just, like, boring to me. Cy also is boring to me. They're both just, like, kind of, like, rude. And I just, I don't really enjoy them. I don't think they're fun to watch. But But Cy and Daisy, one of the new girls, goes way back. So that's kind of nice that they have like history. And I'm willing to give them another shot. It's just, again, like I just I still struggle with them. There's also a new girl who is I forget her name.
28:18She is like a billionaire and she is the wife of the founder of Bilt. And they got married at the pyramids in Egypt. You guys all have seen that wedding. It took over Instagram. Okay, so the CEO and Built Rewards founder is Encore Jane, and his wife is Erica Hammond. Yes, Erica, that's what it is. Thank you for looking that up. So I am curious what you guys thought about the Roni premiere. I am optimistic about it. So I want to segue into the next Dynamics finale, which also segues into something a little darker that I want to talk about. Yeah, we need to talk about this because I don't watch Atlanta.
28:58So I'm curious just your thoughts and all of that. And I know you don't watch Next Gen NYC, even though it's like the best show on Bravo right now. I heard it. It's making so much noise right now. Like everyone is talking about it. It's so good. So Next Gen NYC wrapped up. And I mean, not much to say there. It was a really, really, really good season. But basically, Liam gave our Ariana Beerman has been our breakout star and she is kind of playing the field between Charlie, Liam and her ex-boyfriend Hudson. Liam clearly gave Ariana the ick and then she makes up with Charlie, the bad boy, the crypto torture Charlie.
29:38And then it cuts to her saying months later that Charlie is dead to her and he actually manipulated her with Jesus because she thought that she could fix him and he got a tattoo that said only God can judge me. So he she basically said he pretended to be a Jesus lover to manipulate me, which just is hilarious, honestly. Despite that, I still love Ariana. She seems very down to earth and is clearly the breakout star of the show. There has unfortunately been a lot of discourse about her TV future because of the accusations against her younger brother, her younger half brother, KJ. Incredibly disturbing.
30:20Incredibly disturbing. Trigger warning. Trigger warning. Skip ahead. There is incredibly disturbing accusations of sexual assault. So KJ Beerman, Kim Zolciak's son and Kroy Beerman's son and half brother of, like I said, Ariana Beerman, was recently accused of sexual assault and sodomy by a young female classmate at a gym changing room that allegedly happened in April 2026. He was accused of digitally penetrating her and forcing her to give him perform oral sex on him. And his mom, Kim, put out a statement immediately defending him saying the woman who accused the woman, she was like a very, very, very young girl, a young girl, a preteen girl, preteen girl, accused this woman, quote unquote, of lying.
31:15Just absolutely disgusting. He was, when he was originally denied bail, people were like, he's a child. Let me look up his exact age. He is young. So when he was denied bail, people were like, they must, he's 15 now. And he was 14 at the time of the alleged assault. I mean, that's like eighth grade freshman in high school. So people were like, they must have something on him if he is being detained like this as a young man. He was ultimately indicted on seven felony charges, including aggravated child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated sodomy, false imprisonment, and three counts of sexual battery against a child under 16.
32:00Then last week's hearing revealed a previous sexual battery case involving him and a young female family member where apparently he had video footage on his phone of him raping a young underage relative. And there's been a lot of speculation about who this relative is. I don't want to speculate. We don't know. I will say that there also is speculation that Kim has been trying to protect him because she sees KJ as a potential future moneymaker because he's apparently a talented football player. So she sees dollar signs when it comes to her kids. We know that she stole money from her daughter, Ariana Bierman.
32:46So it's just absolutely disgusting. Not only the accusations here, but also the parenting that has led to this. I think these parents are absolutely disgusting and horrible parents. I'm sorry. So, yeah. At KJ's September alum at the bond hearing, prosecutors disclosed that he was already under juvenile court supervision in connection with that separate sexual battery matter. matter when the alleged April Jim incident occurred. So that means the previous, it apparently happened end of towards the latter half of 2025 when he allegedly raped this underage relative. And it hadn't been publicly known at the time because juvenile proceedings are generally confidential.
33:37So he had been under court supervision since October 2025 when this again happened in April, a separate sexual battery incident. And so at that point, that's when they're like, OK, we need to take this seriously and charge him with felonies. So, yeah, again, they discovered multiple videos on his phone of him allegedly raping a female family member who was under the age of 12. Jesus Christ. Including what prosecutors characterize as penetrative sex and or rape. I hate when the word sex is used when it's rape, but like that's that's what they describe it as. and they allege that he used predatory derogatory language toward the relative in the recordings and he had these recordings on his fucking phone.
34:21Sick man. So Kim and his sister Brielle Bierman were both at this bond hearing in bodycon dresses mind you. I'm like why are they dressed like this? They're dressed like they're going to the club and despite being 14 at the time of the alleged April assault and 15 now the seriousness of the charged offenses means his case is presently in Fulton County Superior Court rather than ordinary juvenile court. So they're taking this very seriously because he is a repeat offender, which they should. And he was ultimately granted him a two granted a two hundred thousand dollar bond. And the conditions are pretty restrictive.
34:56He must live at Kim's house, which, again, it's like, oh, great. He's going to live with Kim, his horrible mom. He has to wear an ankle monitor, attempts will virtually have no contact with the alleged victim or people associated with her and notably have no contact with anyone under 16, Good. Good. Exactly. So our thoughts are with the victims, first and foremost. Like, this is so disturbing. Fuck this. I know that he's only a 15 year old kid. Lock him up for life. He's a creature. A monster. Lock up his parents for life. Lock them all up. And separately, because I know I was just talking about Ariana.
35:34I don't think that Ariana should be held accountable by what her family is doing. So I think that, you know, those conversations, I don't even get why they're happening. But I've seen so many conversations of people saying, Ariana, like, get her off Next Gen NYC. Like, she needs to be off the show. I don't think that's fair to her. So that's just a separate thing that I just wanted to say. But in terms of Kim, Croy, and KJ, jail for life. Quick question. So I remember when all the divorce proceedings are splitting up between, sorry, what's her name? Kim and Croy were happening. Is KJ, Croy, and Kim's son?
36:12Okay, got it. Yes, he is both of their sons. And then him and Ariana have a different dad. Gotcha. And I was going to say, what is Kim's vibe on Atlanta? Like, is their family dynamic weird? Obviously, it seems like Croy and her were very unhealthy, just from the videos I saw from the body cam footage. They don't seem like the healthiest couple, but what is Kim like? No, they're not. So I haven't watched Atlanta since, like, the early seasons. Okay. It's been a while since I've watched Atlanta. So I can't speak to their dynamics on TV, but I can speak to what we have heard about their relationship, which is incredibly messy that there is debt, gambling.
36:52Like I said, Kim stealing money from her own daughter. Just incredibly dysfunctional and disturbing. And I don't doubt for one second that Kim has always tried to protect KJ because she sees dollar signs. She's like, this is a future NFL player. Yeah. And it is just like so fucking disturbing, sickening. and just absolutely disgusting. And also, I get wanting to protect your son, but at the same time, it's like, this is clearly very nefarious. There is now two strikes against this. To an extent, exactly. It's like, yeah, at some point, maybe it's like, yeah, like, this is my child. I'm going to protect him.
37:33Of course. But then there's a line where it's like, wait, no, actually, like, I can't defend this. Yeah. If you're a rapist or a murderer, like, I can't. That's where you should trow the line. We can't support that. If your child is a rapist or a murderer, you don't have to defend them. Right. A pedophile, like, we're not here for that. And maybe you protect your son and care for him offline, but don't make this sweeping generalization online that this woman is spewing, you know, vile. No. A young girl is telling you that your son attacked her. That's not okay. Period. Yeah. Come on. It's absolutely disgusting.
38:11Kim defending him with her public statement, her showing up to the bond hearing in a bodycon dress. It just. Yeah. Read the room. Like, yeah, read the room and look inward. So, yeah. And ask me how you and Croy. Like, how did you raise this? Completely, completely failed as parents, which is not surprising, honestly. Very, very much unsurprising. Right. That shouldn't be a controversial statement. Like, you failed as parents if your son is running around. attacking women. Yeah, horrible. We all know how much it sucks to have to wait for your paycheck when all you want is to access your own hard-earned money.

41:25I see you. Avatar Fire and Ash is now streaming on Disney+. It's the film critics are calling the best Avatar yet. A true epic and completely jaw-dropping. This is the only purest thing in this world. Return to Pandora on Disney+. It will be an adventure for the whole family. And watch the Oscar-winning phenomenon at home. This is sick! Avatar Fire and Ash, now streaming on Disney+. Rated PG-13. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT. Hey, it's Bill Simmons from the Bill Simmons Podcast. Have you guys heard about ChatGPT work? It's the new way to use ChatGPT for bigger multi-step projects. And when you need more than just answers, give ChatGPT work access to your apps and files, and it can create real work documents like spreadsheets, slides, and structured reports.
42:18Get started at ChatGPT.com by selecting work mode available on Plus and Pro plans. okay i guess on a a lighter note it's just it's just kind of funny i guess the sydney sweeney campaign just sports with a sports trading platform novig obviously her campaign is facing a ton of backlash sophie did you watch this uh campaign i saw like the stills from it where she is obviously completely naked it i literally was watching this i was like this has to be an snl Like, this isn't real. This is, at this point, Sydney Sweeney, if you guys haven't seen it, she has like a bunch, various types of sports balls, whether it's two footballs across her chest, a soccer ball in front of her pubic area.
43:02There's various balls hiding her private regions, and she is fully undressed behind those balls. and it's to a lot of female athletes, they see it as her essentially walking sports and I came across a couple of quotes from various Olympians, female Olympians, athletes. So Olympian champion swimmer, I'm gonna botch this name, I'm sorry, Ariane Titmuss says that this campaign was a kick in the face. Not only is a kick in the face to every woman who has dedicated her life to perfecting her craft, but every woman who enjoys sports for what it really is. teamwork, friendship, dedication, excellence, unity.
43:40How do we still live in a world where we're monetizing a woman's body and sexualizing women's sports? How is this still a thing? And then world champion boxer Sky Nicholson says, there's a big difference between looking quote unquote sexy because you do sport compared to using sex to sell sport. And at this point, Sydney is throwing caution to the wind and 100 % leaning into sexualizing herself to the nth degree. And this campaign with sports is also, like I say, very similar to the siren birthday boobs campaign that she did for her lingerie line, where she's in a very provocative ad where she's kind of leaning into this 1950s housewife.
44:20There's like 1950s music in the background. She's baking in the kitchen. She's blowing out candles. She's seductively walking across the table on all fours. It's very, very suggestive. Borderline, like soft pornographic material. if you ask me. And it's really sad because I feel like we've talked about this. I know you feel a certain way about Sydney's acting career and her acting chops. Like, I think from what I've seen in Euphoria in the earlier seasons and in Handmaid's Tale. She has potential to be a really good actress. Like, she's not a terrible actress. She's not. And I thought that she portrayed Cassie so well.
44:56And it was a character that had a lot of depth, complex, layers, all the things. she was so talented in those works of art but now it seems like she's exclusively catering to the male gaze a hundred a hundred percent and i was talking about it with a girlfriend of mine at dinner last night and we're like what will we compare her to like earlier her predecessors like is it megan fox no she like could have had a jennifer lawrence type career honestly agreed like i was gonna say she could have a hundred percent because she was so talented and people are really recognizing her so talented but i was saying my friend said maybe she's trying to lean into like maybe being like a Pam Anderson, all up Baywatch, Carmen Electra.
45:33No, I don't even think it's that. I don't even think it's that deep where she's like, here's who I'm going to replicate my career after. I think she literally is like, how can I make the most money as quickly as possible? I think it's literally about like, I am hot right now. I'm never going to be this young and hot again. So I'm going to cash in while I can. I think that's literally all it comes down to. I don't think she's making some strategic move about her career. And it's funny because I saw this tweet, Shin Kale Ryder on Twitter tweeted, there was a brief moment where Sydney Sweeney seemingly was trying to be a serious actor, but now she's just doing commercials where she's like, the only thing bigger than my Arian double D's are the gains you can make on the newest crypto trading platform, Wallet Inspector TM.
46:16It's like, that's all she does now is like, show off her body and try to get you to buy some sort of like crypto or gambling app or whatever it is. The lingerie signed by Jeff Bezos. Yeah. And like the lingerie isn't selling because it's like the people that are trying to buy things from her are men. Like women aren't. Yeah. No, I actually think you're spot on because now that I think about it, and we've talked about this so many times on Snarkbait, where she had that really funny quote where everyone's like, give me a break, where she's like, it's actually really hard to be a celebrity because you have so many expenses.
46:50You have a publicist. You have a lawyer. You have a PR team. You have a manager. Brand flakes. And I can barely pay. What? Like brand flakes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. where Brand Flakes is like, I make a million dollars a year now. OK, just in the name of transparency, I went from making$70 ,000 in my corporate job to I make a million dollars a year now. But I have PR. I have legal. I have publicist. That's hilarious about her and Brand Flakes. Yeah, I think at this point she is just dying to pay her mortgage and get all her expenses paid for without cause or without issue. and, you know, thank God that she's, I feel like she's not going to have an issue with money, seeing as her and Scooter Braun's relationship is becoming very serious, seemingly.
47:35It was her birthday last week and Scooter Braun wrote such a shady Instagram post about Sydney wishing her happy birthday. And I'm sorry, it was just like disgusting to me. He writes, I'm not going to read the whole thing, just the first paragraph. Happy birthday to the woman who is the exception to every role. The person who surprised me and showed me how life with true partnership can be lived. That's such a shady fucking thing to say when Yael Cohen is the mother of your children and you're saying now that the only way you were able to see true partnership. When you have an ex-wife. Yes. Yeah.
48:05Right. The only way that you're able to see true partnership is when you're with Sydney Sweeney. Like that's such a shady, unnecessary comment. And do you know what it reminds me of? Guess. I don't know. It reminds me of when Chris Pratt wrote about Catherine Schwarzenegger about giving him a healthy child when his son with Anna Faris, Jack. Oh my god. Ew. I hate that. Doesn't it remind you of that? I'm like, you are just shady. Yeah, I hate that. Yeah. So unfortunately, guys, we cannot do DEOs and LEOs this week because we're having some technical difficulties and we need to wrap up the show.
48:41So we will save these. They're good. So we'll save them for next week. Sorry, you guys, about the technical difficulties and the delay with today's episode as a struggle today.
