Ross, work your magic. Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Dark Energy Tuesday. It's Snarkbait. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. Sophie, Sophie, Sophie. Let's just get into it. I was going to say, you're looking dapper, and you're looking stunning this Monday morning. Thank you. I sat out on my balcony. It was really raining all weekend, but I sat on my balcony last week when it was sunny, and I think I got some nice color in my face.

1:26I've been obviously very good about wearing my sunscreen. Don't forget your SPF, everyone. But yeah, let's just get into it. The audio leak from the Summer House reunion. What were your thoughts on this? And for context, you guys, in case you missed it, I don't know how you missed it. You didn't, but yes. Audio from the Summer House reunion, which filmed last week, leaked all over the internet. And we heard Kyle calling West a schmuck, Sierra calling Amanda a snake in the grass, also silent but deadly because she is a she is a fart kind of amanda yeah yeah um amanda throws sierra's you can't help who you like back in her face which is obviously extremely fucked up mia says that amanda threw everything away just to be a side piece west does not defend amanda among other highlights uh tmz has the audio i think that they bought it from the person that leaked it so that they are able to legally have it now and bravo took this very seriously and apparently found There were a lot of rumors that it was someone on the cast, that it was Wes, that it was Jesse.

2:25I heard that it was right before it came out that it was a Bravo staffer on the production team. I heard that it was Jesse and I was like, no, not Jesse. Right when I was starting to, you know, appreciate him. I mean, I do appreciate the Bravo staffer who leaked the audio. Let's be real. They did the Lord's work. I saw this TikTok and I saw that you reposted it as well. It was this person that was, they had Uber Eats on their hat. And it was like the person that leaked Sierra's audio. It's like Uber Eats and he has his phone just like playing. I was dying laughing. There was a lot of rhetoric online that this was PR, that Bravo intentionally did this to drum up, you know, like excitement about the reunion.

3:04Trust us, we're already excited about the reunion. They don't need to drum up excitement. No. The fact that we have to wait a month to watch this reunion is my idea of torture. I need to see the footage now. Now, how can Love Island produce basically live real footage and edit in real time and deliver the episodes within 24 hours? I'm going to need Bravo to step up their game. This is ridiculous. In fact, can the rest of the season? I don't give a fuck. Play the reunion today. I really don't care. And that goes for the city as well. I know that you said a couple episodes ago this is going to give more press to the city.

3:35I don't give a fuck. I need to see the reunion today and nothing else. It is crazy when you think about Love Island. Like, why does Bravo take eight months to turn around episodes? And that's not an understatement, by the way. It is eight months. It's just, it's not fair. Yeah. It's not fair. Like, we need this now. And I said this on Instagram, like, I would pay any amount of money. Like, I know that people listen to or pay for, like, Jake Paul fights and stuff like that. Like, they paid, like,$85 on pay-per-view for, like, a fight. I would pay twice that for the unedited reunion footage. I would pay three times that, probably.

4:12No, I'm willing to pay$500, Bravo. Are you listening? $500. That's my number. I would pay$500. It's negotiable as well. Yeah. It's negotiable. I'm willing to pay the entire, I want to pay$500 for the unedited, uncut version. Yeah, absolutely. 10 hours. And I mean, I also am so shocked. Talking about like the content of that leak. I am so, I guess I shouldn't be shocked. But how crazy is it that it doesn't sound like Amanda or Wes? And this was the leaks that were coming up before the actual audio leak. people were saying, you know, Amanda and Wes came in guns blazing inside source here. I just think it's so crazy to come in with that attitude when they were apparently stone cold, not wanting to take accountability.

4:56What? It's so bad. No, I'm just, it's just so bad because all the rumors were true and even worse when we heard the audio. We're like, oh, it's worse than we thought. No, it's crazy because, I mean, obviously they're going to get heat either way, but if you come in and you're remorseful and take accountability, or in Amanda's case, I think that she is obviously obsessed with West or digmatized or whatever it is. She clearly has feelings for him. Apparently, she was referring to him as her boyfriend. But if she comes in and she, you know, says, I was in a vulnerable place after my divorce. I was in this unhealthy marriage for so long.

5:33And, you know, West was giving me attention and I fell for it. And she should have turned it around on West. I don't know anything but her strategy, which was to come in and be combative and say, we were both single, like blah, blah, blah. How about during that clip where Sierra says, you know, she says, oh, it was complicated because I'm married and I'm still married. And then Sierra goes, yeah, and you're still married. And she goes, am I supposed to be celibate? No, that comment, Sophie, when she said, am I supposed to be celibate? It's like, that is such an extreme way to respond. I'm not saying to be celibate.

6:08I'm telling you to not fuck my ex-boyfriend who literally broke me down bone by bone. This man fucked with Ciara so much. And we all have this guy who has ruined our lives. Like I literally am visualizing the man that has done this to me for years. It was painful. And sometimes it's even more painful when it's something that doesn't actually transpire into a real relationship because he messed with her for so many years. Yeah. And was so manipulative. And for Amanda to just say, what am I supposed to be celibate? That's literally not the point. are you missing brain cells right now? Like it actually enraged me on behalf of Sierra.

6:42And I love that you wrote down here in the notes that Mia asked, are you willing to throw everything away for being Wes's side piece? And this is the time that Wes could have been like, hey, hey, hey, hey. Hey, that's my girlfriend. Ladies, let's relax. Of course, Wes being such a pussy. Completely like, yeah, silent. Didn't say anything. Didn't defend. It's Amanda, as we all knew, was going to stand up for herself. Wes is completely silent. He has no words. Oh, I'm just, you know, I don't know how to make words. I'm too nervous. Sarah scares me. It's so pathetic. I was listening to, when I listened to the audio, I was like, I had my hand over my mouth.

7:16I was like, oh my God. And dare I even say, at least Raquel and Sandoval were remorseful. Okay. Raquel came in there completely owning every single mistake. And Raquel, I think was a little bit, you know, a little odd. Okay. We can all admit it. But Raquel at least took accountability and was like, I totally messed up. The second she realized what she had done and she had a bit of clarity, she stepped away from that relationship. No, no, no. This is worse because Amanda is doubling down. Yeah. I can't believe I'm standing up for Raquel and Sandoval. I can't believe it. I know. I feel like in retrospect, we're like, wow, Sandoval and Raquel, they really did things right.

7:49But at the time, we were like, what the fuck was that reunion performance? Oh, we were like, take them to the stake. Like, no, we were literally like about to. Yeah. No, I know. We were willing to like publicly execute them for what they did. And now I'm looking back and I'm like, huh, Raquel. and Sandoval. Yeah, they had some remorse and they had empathy. At least people were like, at least that photo of them like smoking cigarettes on the ground outside the reunion was like really cunty. No, I know. And they were like, yeah, they're all seated on the floor. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I think Amanda turning that around where she said, you can't help who you like.

8:21And that was what Sierra said when she was talking about the racial dynamics and the racism that she has faced with regards to her relationship with West by the Bravo audience. And Amanda turned that around and said, I can't help it. And I can't choose. I didn't choose. You can. Okay. Maybe you can't help who you're attracted to. You can choose how you decide to act on it. Like, have I thought that some of my friends, significant others were attractive before? Of course. Of course. Actually now thinking about it, probably not, but I'm sure there's, I can't think of a single one of my friends. No offense.

8:56But like, if there was one that I was like, oh, he's kind of cute. Would I act on it? No. Absolutely not. Because you have two working brain cells. We are human beings. This is what makes us not animals. Yeah, no, 100%. Shit, I was going to say something, and now I don't remember. I know. I feel like there's just like a million thoughts at once, and I keep losing my train of thought because there's so much to talk about. Yes. Oh, oh, oh. Now I know what I was going to say. So there's a lot of Bravo accounts that are doing the Lord's work, and they are going back to receipts. And if you think about it, similar to Raquel and Sandoval, you can piece together when that relationship likely started from their Instagram.

9:28Yeah. Yeah. Have you seen, I think it was in March 2025, Amanda was in LA doing some press. Wes was also in LA doing some press. And Kyle was not there. I think he was doing, I don't know what he was doing. But they had hotel rooms in the same hotel literally sharing a wall. And there's an Instagram video of both of them filming one another saying, oh, hey, neighbor. Hey, neighbor. People are thinking this was when it started. Yes. People are thinking that, oh, they shared a hotel, like hotel rooms adjacent to one another. they were filming one another they've been going they were going out together what if this started in march 2025 so well before season 10 aired wow i so i have been in the camp of i don't think this started last summer or before last summer but it could be convinced otherwise i hope on the reunion they're at least honest they won't be because i know i i feel like they're not going to be honest apparently what well no is it like i mean there was no overlap everyone was single i can't do is Was that your West?

10:25Oh, so, no, it just, there wasn't, there wasn't any overlap. I mean, like, we were so single. And Jesse, okay, so Jesse on Watch What Happens Live last week. Lally. Jesse Solomon. Oh. Why, randomly, why would I be talking about Jesse Lally out of nowhere talking about Summer? No. No, Jesse Solomon. I'm sorry, I still can't stand Jesse Solomon, so that's why I try to keep him as separate from my brain as I can be. Also, it's like he, Jesse Solomon is just Jesse Solomon. Like, I don't know why I just called him Jesse. Yeah, I needed you to say the last name as well. That's what it was. So Jesse Solomon was in Watch What Happens Live, and he indicated that he thought that West and Amanda were going, or that West in particular was going to be combative during the reunion.

11:05And everyone was like, what the fuck? What do you mean combative? And this indicates that West behind the scenes still thinks he does nothing. He did nothing wrong. And that I'm sure West and Amanda are talking to their friends and saying, we were both single. Like, what's the big deal? It's not about both being single. Yeah, it's not about that. And it's not about the timeline. Honestly, at this point, it doesn't even matter. But watching Summer House last, and it just made it so much more painful because Sierra and West have this conversation. And Sierra is very emotional, and she's talking about how she misses him as a best friend.

11:36But I think the underlying thing here that was unspoken, and I think in the preview for next week's, for I guess this week's Summer House episode that airs tonight, is that, and Kyle points this out, he's like, is she going to admit that she's still or him? I think that the unspoken thing is that she still has lingering feelings for him, but doesn't want to admit it, understandably, because she doesn't want to get hurt again. She doesn't want to get embarrassed again. And completely understandably, because he ends up hurting her anyway. And I don't know, I feel like that's the unspoken thing here that I feel like, and how is she supposed to get over him anyway?

12:08Because it's like, they're always together. It's impossible for her to get over him. They are still, you know, together all the time. And also West admitting that he resents Sierra because of the backlash she got from the fans. And he says the natural instinct is to resent that person. No, no, it isn't. That says so much about him. That is so telling. Not even making eye contact with her. I think the natural instinct would be to examine your own behavior if you're getting so much backlash from fans. And I'm also seeing discourse about the fact that did West hook up with Amanda to be free of all of the expectations that Sierra had for him and all of the rules that she put in place and all the boundaries?

12:41It seems like he wanted to do the one thing to hurt her so much because he fucking hates her. I don't doubt that theory. And maybe he didn't do it consciously. You know, I'm going to get back at Sierra or rid myself of her forever by hooking up with her best friend. It probably was subconsciously, genuinely. And I do think there is a lot of weight to that theory. And you so called it when you said months ago, you're like, I think because he was a fan favorite his freshman season. There was a New York Times article about him, for God's sake, about how he's the breakout star of Summerhouse. That got to his head so quickly, I think, more quickly than any other cast member has really ever experienced on Summerhouse, maybe even on Bravo.

13:20100%. No one has had such a good freshman season. And do you know what I actually even have to say? I think Rachel Zoe on Beverly Hills and maybe Leah McSweeney from her first season of Roni, the positive reception that they had received from viewers was so astronomical. But I think to see a man on Bravo with such a good reception by the audience is very rare. And it got to his head so quickly. I think that he was riding that high until his sophomore season when it all came crumbling down. And he was like, oh, I'm not the golden boy anymore. And to him, he's like, the natural instinct is to resent that person.

13:55Like you said, no, it isn't. It's to take a step back, understand what it is that I did to elicit this kind of anger from the audience, this kind of trigger from the audience. But instead, he's so emotionally immature that he had to blame it on the person that he hurt. It's like you can't even take a second to look at your own actions and understand what the amount of damage you caused to someone that whatever caused this type of reception from the audience. A complete 180. There's a lack of not even it's a lack of self-awareness that I think I don't mess around with. Like when it comes to maturity, I think the first thing that I always recognize about a person is like, do you have a level of self-awareness that makes you understand the difference between right and wrong and where you could have hurt people?

14:36And I don't think he has any self-awareness. And I do want to call out, too, because I was talking about this also with a group of friends of mine. At some point, it does get very frustrating for me to watch Sierra. And this is coming from my own perspective because I think at that point in my life in like my late 20s, mid 20s, I was definitely Sierra when I continued to allow people to treat me so horribly. And looking back, it's completely relatable. And I think that's why it's so triggering for me. Yeah. It is frustrating for me to see her continue to cry to his face when literally seven days ago, a girl was on his lap making out with him.

15:09And he literally said in front of you how he did not care for her to continue to sit on his lap. It was very painful for me to watch Sierra regress and beg him for his friendship again when he literally did the most disrespectful thing. And then she keeps saying, oh, he's in jail. He's in jail. Sierra, you've done such a good job the last two years to keep him at an arm's length. And now you're going to throw that all away when he did you the most wrong just a week ago. It's very frustrating. And I think it's triggering for me, to be very honest. I mean, it makes us want to shake her. It's like, don't do not, you know, cry for this man.

15:42He does not care about you. He does not care. He can't even make eye contact with her during this conversation. It is so frustrating. I think that he is so, and I've always, I've always said this, not to brag, that I've always hated West. I can see right through him. He's so inauthentic. And it just sucks that she can't see that. Like, it sucks. And yeah, it's frustrating. It's like, oh my God, please don't cry for this guy. And you can tell that, you know, the unspoken thing, like I said, is that she still has lingering feelings. Absolutely. And she doesn't want to say it, which is also frustrating, but also understandable.

16:13And it's just, oh my God, it is just a mess, a freaking mess. She's blinded by love. Yeah, she's blinded because she still has, she can't get over him because she is still around him. How is she supposed to get over someone that she's always still around because of the nature of, you know, the show and their situation? Also, I have to ask you, in this, so last week's episode, when Amanda decided to ditch the house, and she's like, I'm not coming, and she claimed that it was her mental health. So when, I couldn't help but laugh on the boat when she calls Kyle, and the first thing she asks is, where's Sierra?

16:48And Sierra's like, hi, missed you. Wes said it was the best weekend ever. She's like, really? The first weekend I'm not at the house, and it's the best weekend ever? You could tell. She took so much offense to it. No, no, she was like, ah. And then people are comparing it to that caption on Instagram during like the blizzard or whatever when she was hanging out with Wes, but it was like before people knew they were hooking up. And the caption is best day ever hyphen WW. So it's like, oh, my God, she finally got the validation from Wes. Oh, that's so cringy. I didn't even put that caption together.

17:20I've obviously seen that photo. Yeah. Oh, my God. OK, let's stay on kind of. Oh, my God. I feel like there's so much summer house stuff to talk about, but we need to move on because we have so much stuff on our list. You guys know I like to have a good time. And Cheers has genuinely changed my relationship with going out. I feel like once you hit your 30s, even if you're just having a completely normal night, like a couple of glasses of wine at dinner, a friend's birthday, whatever, the next morning just hits differently. Even if I think I'm doing everything right. Baby snarks in their 30s and above, I know you know what I'm talking about.

17:59And what I didn't realize until recently is that it's not just dehydration. Alcohol actually affects your brain and your liver, which is why you can feel off even if you drank responsibly and did everything quote-unquote right. This is why I'm so happy I discovered Cheers Restore. They're capsules you take after your last drink or before bed, and the ingredients support both your brain and your liver. I personally keep them on my nightstand. So if I go to dinner, have cocktails with friends, or just have a random Tuesday night glass of wine, I take them and actually feel like myself the next day.

18:31And this isn't just some random internet product. Cheers was originally developed by a Princeton student, was featured on Shark Tank, and has sold over 50 million doses, which makes sense because it actually works. Take Cheers Restorers after your last drink or before going to bed and wake up feeling at least 50 % better or your money back. Hulu announced Stassi Schroeder's new show, House of Stassi. Enough. Enough. So Katie Maloney's in it. Christina Kelly is in it. Review seems to be Bo complaining about being a 1950s housewife to Stassi's like working girl. And not, personally not interested. You guys know I die hard, ride or die Stassi stan.

20:34And a lot of things change that. You can listen to our saucy episode if you forget why. Basically, I think that she's a brazen racist. And the fact that she's getting a platform still, I'm so confused by Hulu's choices. And speaking of Hulu's choices, Secret Lives of Mormon Wives colon Orange County? Is that what it's called? The cast was announced also at this Hulu Gets Real thing. So a lot of them I haven't heard of. A lot of them we have, which is crazy. Yeah, the ones I have heard of are Bobby Althoff, who did, you know, the interviews with Drake and whatever she's known for. Avery Woods, who we have a whole episode about.

21:09Aspen Ovard, who is in a throuple, and a lot of people have asked to do an episode about her, and it actually is on our docket to do a deep dive on her. Actually, I don't know that much about her. Macy's sister also from Secret Lives of Mormon Vibes. And a lot of them aren't even Mormon. So, like, what are we doing here? Yeah, I read like three of them aren't Mormon. And then also a couple of them don't even live in Orange County. And so I think it's really just I keep seeing comments of people saying it should be secret lives of influencers because it really just grabbing a couple influencers from various parts of California and saying, let's film and let's just let's use our trademark of secret lives of Mormon wives and just tack on OC.

21:46So it brings traction to the show because or like secret lives of influencer wives or secret lives of Orange County wives or why do you have to. So there was a creator on TikTok, and I'm sorry, don't have it in front of me right now, who is Mormon and was basically like, stop appropriating Mormonism and treating it like it's a trend. And what even is this? These women aren't even Mormon. I think maybe some of them are, but not all of them. So what are we doing here? And apparently, Emily Kaiser liked that video. So I think that that is confirmation that her and Avery Woods are no longer besties.

22:19Yeah, I need to know what happened with that because Yeah, I'm very curious. I love me some Emily Kaiser and she's gone through hell and back over the last year. Yeah. Rooting for her always, but I'm just very curious because at the darkest moment in her life, you know, her best friend and her no longer talking. So I'm just morbid curiosity for me about what happened between the two of them. But yeah, I'm just, Stassi's new show, I don't know what she has on Hulu. First, she was starring on Vanderpump Villa, which we got some - No one watched. No one watches that show. Someone commented, I think it might have been on Patreon, they're like, low-key, it's kind of good.

22:51I'm like, oh. Oh, that's the first time I've ever heard of anyone watching that show. Literally. But that's the thing. It's like Stassi, so she has this diehard fan base, which we know she does. The announcement, you know, on Instagram, people were so excited. I was like, okay. But no one watched Vanderpump Villa, even though she was on it? Where were her fans when Vanderpump Villa needed viewers? No, exactly. I am curious what this is going to be like, and I can already sense. It's going to be Stassi being a working mom. a working influencer and Bo constantly being peeved because yes because he has to be the stay-at-home dad and he doesn't have a career because his career is supporting his wife and it's like oh the gender roles being switched and how does that emasculate Bo I don't want to hear about Bo I genuinely do not care about him I remember I listened to one episode of Stassi's podcast with Bo based on a referral of a friend of mine she's like you need to listen to this episode because Bo seems peeved and annoyed with her the entire time it was uncomfortable to listen to and granted that's one episode they have a whole catalog of episodes i don't know if that's the entire shtick of their relationship on air but i remember being very uncomfortable watching the episode like he resents her a lot so i bet you it's going to be that kind of vibe on air and i just i'm disinterested and i love that for whatever reason she was booted off of vanderpump rolls which is fair because of what she did to faith it was awful we've seemingly forgotten about that six years later it's like oh what blm what her calling the cops on faith for what faith almost losing her military benefits for what?

24:18Her saying that she could never suck someone's dick without their consent during the media movement. Oh, I forgot about that. Yep. Her saying Nazi chic because she was wearing like a hat. Her saying, why do black people always make it about them at award ceremonies? How come you never hear about Latinos or Asians talking about their misrepresentation or underrepresentation? Like she, time after time, she has proven who she is and we continue to platform her. And I'm frankly disinterested. Yeah, was she great on reality TV? Of course. Was Jax Taylor great on reality TV? Of course. Was James Kennedy, is James Kennedy great on TV?

24:49Of course. Does that mean we continue to platform these people? No. Yeah. And that is my belief. Clearly, Hulu disagrees. A lot of people disagree. Yeah. Hulu, like you said, she hosted the Secret Lives of Mormon Lives reunion. She hosted the Tell Me Lies podcast. I forgot about that too. She has gotten like so many, like Hulu is trying to make her the face of Hulu. And I'm just so confused by that. But, you know, to each their own. She clearly has, you know, this diehard fan base. Do you think the show's going to do well, though? I'm curious because... I mean, no one watched Vanderpump Villa that time were on it.

25:22So I don't know. But she does have a diehard fan base, so I would not be super surprised. It seems like a lot of the Bravo accounts that I follow were posting about it and people were so excited in the comments. So I think that a lot of Vanderpump Rules fans will probably watch it. I don't know why that didn't translate to Vanderpump Villa, but I don't know. I personally am not interested, but yeah, we'll see what happened. I really quickly want to talk about, have you been following this bachelorette party? Acquired Styles Bachelorette to St. Barth? Is that how you pronounce it? St. Barth? I've heard it pronounced both ways.

25:57St. Barth. Yeah. I've never been. I've never been to St. Barth and I've never been on a PJ. So sorry. Add it to the list. Yeah. Add it to the list. I'm so sorry that I have never been to St. Barth. I don't know how to pronounce it right. everyone's gonna yell at me but um Bridget Phelung aka Acquired Style it was her bachelorette party this past weekend and she got this lavish private jet with all of her friends uh the private jet I will say looked like the nicest private jet I've ever seen I mean again I've never been on one but from what I've seen it had like queen-size beds it had like this massive gorgeous bathroom it was so stunning and obviously you know people were were peeved a little bit about the fact that it feels very out of touch for this moment in our country.

26:45I think, you know, acquired style and influencers have never claimed to be in touch, but I understand why it was so people. Here's the interesting part, though. It was apparently sponsored by Swan Beauty, like a company that had before this started, like less than like, I think, a thousand followers on social media. And it's an$800 smart mirror that like analyzed in. Plus, it has like a membership fee that you have to pay? The Swan Mirror is a smart beauty mirror that blends modern design with advanced technology to transform your daily routine. With AI skin analysis, face mapping, and AR try-on features, it delivers personalized skincare insights and makeup guidance tailored to you.

27:25Sleek and elegant, the Swan Mirror elevates both your vanity and your confidence, bringing professional expertise and innovation into every reflection. It reminds me of this one time I go to this Korean skincare place and they do like a face analysis and it's humbling. And also I feel like they do. They make you look horrible on purpose that you buy more like this is such a scam. It's such a scam to me. Wait. And also like whenever you go to the esthetician, like when I get like Botox done or whatever, and I know that this is their job, but they'll be like, yeah, your face is like very asymmetrical.

27:54I think we can fix that with a little bit of this. Yeah. Really use an eyebrow lift. It's like every I never feel more insecure than after like an esthetician appointment. Your pores are huge. My God. Who wants to be analyzed every single day and pay$800 plus a membership fee for it. That sounds like self-harm. I'm not even trying to be funny. That's self-harm. It does. So, I mean, I guess it was smart marketing because now everyone's talking about Swan Beauty. They've gained some social media followers, not a ton. But this brand was founded by Colby Mitchell, who apparently comes from an extremely wealthy family, and it seems to be private equity backed as well.

28:30So people are speculating that the private jet was probably either the family PJ or the company PJ lent to Acquired Style for The Bachelorette. And then the other part that's interesting is that the family, the founder shows up at her bachelorette and apparently her daughter did too. I only saw the video with the founder, but apparently the daughter, I think maybe the daughter was a fan of Acquired Style and was like, you need to sponsor, you need to sponsor her bachelorette. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like eight year old. Like I swear to God, it's worth it. And so the family got to crash the bachelorette.

28:59And it's just so interesting that like something as intimate as a bachelorette celebration is now for sale for some of these influencers. And it's not like acquired style. Like she just hit, there's a video of her hitting a million followers on Instagram on her bachelorette. So she hit a million on Instagram. She has like 1.7 on TikTok. She can afford to pay for her own bachelorette. So, but, but nothing is sacred anymore. You know, like everything is for sale. It's like kind of dystopian along with the$800 smart mirror that will give you a skin picking disorder, I'm sure. Yeah. Like it all feels very dystopian.

29:34Yeah. The influencer economy is very real. And I think this is just a representation of that. We have like a family with a very small makeup brand sponsoring this entire trip. And like, I don't know, it's, I will say it's very, very genius for Swan Beauty to have done this because if everyone is following her nuptials and everything that goes along with the wedding, like this is actually a very smart move. And it's proven to be as such because now Swan Beauty has garnered a lot more Instagram followers. And that means more money for them. Let me look at their Instagram. I mean, no one had heard of them before.

30:08So I guess in terms of brand recognition, people at least know the name now. 4 ,200 followers on IG, followed by Selena Gomez's best friend that I, of course, follow and Avery Singer. And Avery Singer. stop it and that's just a little bit about well me the kind of people i follow avery singer doesn't she have like a bachelorette planning service batch boss batch boss tell me why i know so much about this company like i actually have a high-end clientele i was just watching uh roni season i think it was season six it's kristin takeman's first season oh my god whatever her name is however you pronounce it i hate her husband yeah avery singer goes off to college so i was just watching that when I was getting ready.

30:52Yeah, yeah, yeah. She has like a pretty successful bachelorette party company called Batch Boss and they were featured on Watch What Happens Live, but they like did Olivia Colpo bachelorette. Oh, that's so interesting. Yeah, they're like kind of a big deal. So good for Avery Singer. But yeah, interesting. I would I don't want this mirror. No, no, no, no. I I'm insecure enough. Yeah. Like I don't need to pay money to be more insecure. I'm not waking up in the morning telling me what's wrong with my face. There's plenty wrong with my face. Okay. I don't need AI to tell me what's wrong with me. Actually, my best friend, Michelle, she just had another baby.

31:30She just popped out her second kid and she was telling me, she's like, you know, I want to get a mommy makeover. And part of that is I want to redo my face. She like fixates on trying to fix her face. And she asked Claude, she sent a picture to Claude and said, what can I do to refine my face? And I sent that her a before and after, I was laughing my ass off. I was like, who is this? Who is this? It put more like filler, like kind of like in the hollows of her temple. She's like, a lot of the times when you lose fat on your face, it's kind of by your temples. And I want to put fat here. I'm like, what are you talking about?

31:58Oh, my God. I can just look in a regular mirror and decide that. Trust me. I know. There's plenty wrong with this. I don't need to. I don't need a mirror to tell me an AI generated mirror to tell me that I need Botox and surgery. Okay. Oh, my God. People are full of surprises, especially when you travel together. Can I just say really quickly, I'm done with the Valley. I'm done. Oh, yeah.

34:25Done with the Valley. I mean, I'm not going to be done. I'm still going to watch it. Yeah, correct. I'll be tuning in every week. I'm still going to watch it. But I wrote down what is there to say other than the season is fucking terrible. Horrible. I wrote in our SnarkBite newsletter that goes out, our sub stack that goes out every Friday. But I saw a conspiracy theory that Alex Baskin is trying to sabotage the Valley on purpose. And I don't know if this is true. That he's trying to sabotage the Valley on purpose to prove that they need Jax. And I don't think it's the lack of Jax. Maybe that's part of it.

34:56Like Jax, like you said. It's definitely part of it. I hate to admit it. Jax is crazy. reality TV gold. There was, let me find this tweet that I posted. I'm sure you saw it. I posted on the Snarkbait Instagram and it was James, JMS underscore TNY on Twitter. He goes, so far watching season three of The Valley is a performance of virtue for the self where you repeat, the show is good without Jax. I did not watch the show for sadistic voyeuristic reasons. Jason and Luke are people who should be on television, like a mantra. That's so fucking funny and so true. i know so it's like i don't know if it's the lack of jacks but tom schwartz and lala are not helping and the lack of janet honestly the lack of janet is not helping either because janet hasn't been in the past two episodes no i completely agree um i can't i love when uh what's his fucking name danny booko yeah danny book four under four when he goes i look forward to what janet has to say I mean, Jason.

35:54I literally like, LOL. Wait, but like Janet and Jason versus Nia and Danny was the most compelling like storyline, I feel like. And they completely dropped that this season for the most part. And that Tom Schwartz at the bar scene with Lala being like 40 minutes out of the entire episode. It's just such a miscalculation on the part of the editors and production. It's terrible. It's terrible. And Luke sucks. Luke is so triggering to me. I hate him. Okay. I hate him. Lala, I actually thought it was funny when she goes, all right, it's me, me, Michelle, whoever, we're going to tag team you. And he's like, oh my God, I thought that was actually kind of funny.

36:32But other than that, Tom Schwartz and Lala, get off my TV. Get off my TV. I'm sick of it. We called this. And Tom Schwartz is fine as like a side player, background player, whatever. But for him to be the focus when this is not what the Valley is. The Valley is about these existing couples that have, you know, existing relationships and dynamics and feuds and all of the storylines that made the past few seasons interesting, the first two. And Lala, we said from the get-go, just should not be. We don't want on reality TV because she just goes wherever the audience, where she thinks the audience will like her most.

37:08She has no loyalty. She is so inauthentic. Correct. Oh, wow. No, you're right. It's like, will I keep watching? A hundred percent. Do I hate watching? Do I hate myself for watching? Yeah. Hate watch it. Yeah. I didn't watch it live on Wednesday or whatever day it airs. And I literally had to force myself over the weekend. I kept putting it off. I was like, I guess I'll clean my room. I guess I'll, you know, write this essay that no one asked for. Like, I was trying to, like, find something to do where I didn't have to watch the movie. No, I know. It's really bad. It's really bad. And I don't want to bring Jax back on my TV because he needs so much professional help and his kid.

37:44He was dangerous. It was at a point where he was dangerous. 100%. I think that this person makes a really good point where there was something very sadistic and voyeuristic that we enjoyed watching about him. But we know right from wrong. And it was dangerous to still have him on TV. And I am glad that he is gone. Of course, he was amazing TV. But the show realistically could have survived without him. It's just the production, the editors completely miscalculated who we care about. Oh, which was something that was actually really excited to me was at Nia and Danny Booker 4 under 4. four and a four Santa Clarita party my friend's small business was featured she does all the house like bright bread co you guys have to follow them um they're a orange county local place like grandma mother and the three daughters maybe four daughters shout out to Kayla a girlfriend that I met at Pilates but they're always they're at Tamara's house for orange county but they do all the charcuterie boards like the grazing tables they're amazing their bread is super good their cookies are super good.

38:46They have these amazing chicken pot pies that are really good, but they were featured a lot on the show. So I was like, oh my God, there's Kayla. That's so exciting. I love that. Yeah. Love her at Bright Bread Co. But yeah, just want to shout them out. Love to see small businesses shaking that thing. Love that. Absolutely. Okay. Let's talk about our dark energy objects. Mine is, why is it so fucking hard? It's seemingly impossible, honestly, to get good soup on the go these days. Okay. Used to go to Panera for that. Panera sucks now. Yeah. Panera is terrible now. And you know why? It's because they were bought up by private equity.

39:24Correct. Private equity destroys everything. And so they were bought up by private equity. So expensive now. The food is terrible now. I literally used to think Panera was like one of the best restaurants in the world. The chocolate cheddar soup, the bread bowls, the baguette, even the Asiago cheese bagels. The bagel, like I used to go to Panera for bagels. This is like blasphemy and everyone's going to yell at me. Instead of like other New York City bagels, I would like want Panera bagels because they were so good. Obviously, they suck now. And then Hale and Hardy closed New Yorkers. I don't know if Hale and Hardy was like a national chain or just in New York, but it was a chain in New York.

39:57And it was literally just soups. They had every kind of soup you could ever want. I would go there for lunch all the time at my old job. They closed. I saw a rumor that they might be coming back. So I will keep you guys posted. But other than Panera and Hale and Hardy, where does one get soup on the go? Sometimes I just want soup. Whole Foods? I guess, but like I'm usually with Baxter. I guess I could go to Whole Foods. There are grocery stores where you could go to a hot bar. So yeah, but like I can't really or I also choose not to go into grocery stores with Baxter because I think it's bad etiquette, which I know is a very controversial take and people have yelled at me for saying that, but I don't bring my dog into.

40:33If you're an able, yeah, if you have a disability where you need a dog, that's a different story. Service dogs. Yeah, 100%. Absolutely. But like for us, yes. For me, a regular person with a regular dog, I just don't do that. So where are other fast, casual restaurants? Like a Chipotle, but for soups. Yeah. I mean, I think you're onto something. Chipotle, but soup. We can make a snark bait soup. I actually have thought about like, and I have tweeted this before. I have a brainchild idea and I'm too lazy to do it myself. So I don't care if someone steals this idea. Like a frozen yogurt place, but with mashed potatoes.

41:06And you can choose your mashed potatoes with a little thing you can self-serve and then has the toppings like a like 16 handles, like a frozen yogurt topping bar. And it has, you know, whatever it is, cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, scallions, whatever, like for on the go mashed potatoes. I don't know how that would taste, though, if it's in like in those little things like for a while. How do you keep that fresh? You know what? I haven't thought through the logistics yet, but the idea in terms of like a seed of an idea, I think the idea is there. And I would go there like every day. I always want something like quick, hot, and delicious on the go.

41:44Sometimes you want something savory instead of like something sweet on the go. Like I get smoothies, I get frozen yogurt, but it's so hard to get something savory that I can eat while I just walk down the street. Totally. Totally. No, I think you're onto something. My dark energy object is when I get like go to Whole Foods, speaking of Whole Foods, sometimes I'll get their sushi and they have like a little soy sauce packet in there. I actually hate opening soy sauce packets or like any packet where it could potentially get all over your fingers. Like if you don't, you know, it says tear it here and you tear it here.

42:18Yeah, you have to be so careful. Otherwise, it gets everywhere. Oops. God forbid you're wearing a white shirt and it actually gets on your white shirt. Like it's very traumatic and anxiety provoking to open one of those soy sauce packets or any packet where it gets splattered all over you. Also with like the soy sauce packet, you open it and then you're just like, okay, like what do I do with this? You pour it in like the lid of the sushi and then it's just everywhere. It's just like spread across the lid. And we're like, let's put the packet. I don't want to be like a monster and put it on the table.

42:44I wish like to go. Sushi came with a little cup or a little like for the soy sauce. Another free idea. Yeah, like a little, like, you know when you go to the sushi restaurants and they have the little mixing bowls for, like, the wasabi and the ginger and the soy sauce? We need one of those in, like, a cardboard version in our to-go sushi. Otherwise, it's, like, so frustrating. It is. It is frustrating. And then you put the sushi, so you can either put it in the lid or you can put it in the basin of the to-go sushi and then it gets all over the sushi. Yeah, right, right. And then it's, like, it's muddled in one specific roll.

43:15Well, now this roll is soy sauce infested. Yeah, and then it's just like muddled and like mushy. Yeah, and it's like too salty. Too salty. It's not evenly distributed. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's very... It's 2026. We need a new system for soy sauce on the go. And soup on the go. We need a new system. We do. We need a new system. Let us know, you guys. Are you with us or are you against us? Our baby snarks are so innovative. They're going to send us a bunch of links for like, oh, you can try this. You know, like our baby snarks are so smart. wait you know how people will carry around like their own like portable like straw or whatever like people probably carry around their own little like portable like soy sauce 100 because they're sustainable queens as well sustainable queens yeah um okay my light energy object is beating a dead horse oh don't get me started on something i was just talking about 20 minutes Let's go.

44:06I will go there again. There is someone from my hometown where we do not know for sure if a divorce is happening. I don't know. Either way, we are picking apart the clues. There's nothing else to talk about. It's kind of like Wes and Amanda. There's nothing left to talk about at this point. But I will eat that dead horse. I want all the details. I will circle back. It just sometimes you just hyper fixate on something that doesn't need hyper fixating on. but it's fine. Yeah. I mean, I feel like if you listen to snark bait, we always beat dead horses. Like we're never going to get over it. So get on board or we're kicking you to the curb.

44:45Get off. Get off. Should that be our tagline? Beating dead horses since 2024. Wow. I know. I was thinking about that. I can't believe we're like kind of coming up on two years of snark bait. It's okay. Hey, Baxter. Sorry. Sorry about that. No, you're fine. Okay. Mylet energy object, I'm actually going to switch it. I'm not going to say what I wrote here. So I talked about last week how we have, you know, we're implementing this AI software at my company and the vendor, they came from New York City to California to help us implement it. We were like two days, just like nonstop meetings. And our implementation coordinator, a shout out to Sam and Jean, they're like, Christy, we know that you have a podcast.

45:24And one of the implementation coordinators on our team listens. And she was like freaking out because she was like, I can't that Christy is a client of ours. So we like slacked her and we video chatted for like a couple minutes. And it was so cute. She was such a girly pop. Shout out to Jane. But then my implementation coordinators told me they're like, we don't want to say anything. But there's a couple of us that are coming to your live show in New York. And now the cat's out of the bag. And like they have a whole group. And they weren't going to tell me. So cute. It's not so cute. Yeah. And I was like, no, I wish you didn't tell me because now I'm going to be like even more self-conscious.

45:57oh my god i know that's how i with people that i know that are coming to the live shows i'm like why does that make me so much more nervous yeah it's like please just don't go like just it's fine you don't need to go stay home yeah yeah but they were so cute and it was like super cool to like video chat with jane because she was like oh my god hi she's like every time i hear you on calls i'm like oh my god it's christy um but it was it was really funny and just like it's weird how there's baby snarks literally. I don't know if a baby snark, I could have, you know, we could have crossed paths in the workplace, maybe in elementary school.

46:30I don't know. I love that. I love that. It was really cool. That's, shout out to Jane. You said her name was? Mm-hmm. Love that. Based out of New York City. I saw Maria. Maria. I saw Maria, who is also a baby snark, but also knows you from home. So I don't know if she fully counts as a baby snark or a friend of the pod. I think she's both. But I ran into her again. I ran into her on the Upper East Side last fall, I think. And then again, I was in her neck of the woods in, where were we? This restaurant, I think. Gramercy-ish, East Village-ish. And yeah, I was eating dinner with my friend outside and Baxter.

47:09And she goes, is that Sophie Ross and Baxter? Oh, Maria. She's my mom's best friend's daughter. I've known Maria since she was like five. And everyone's like, would it kill you to say her name normally? Why do you have to say it like that? I'm like, no, but you don't. Maria. Like, because she's Latina, and I always say her mom, Larena y Maria. Maria. Yeah. She's my girl. She's like my little sister. So shout out to Maria. She's such a cutie. It's so funny. I've run into her twice now. Like, New York City is so big, but it's also so small. Yeah, that is actually the odds probability that is very small.

47:42Exactly. So that's really cool. Right? I love that. You've seen her more than I've seen her in the last year. I know. It's so funny. I hope she's coming to our New York live show. Uh, I don't, I don't think she is because she's going to be back in Japan. She's, I know. She grew up there, so she's going to be there in the summer. I know. Um, well, if you guys are interested in coming to our live show, our LA one is coming up so soon. We are so freaking excited. It's like two weeks. And that is coming up. May 15th. May 15th. And you can get tickets at x1entainment.com slash snarkbait. We are so freaking excited.

48:15Um, and yeah, like we mentioned, we have a newsletter that goes out every Friday in case you missed it. We have funny stuff in there, links in there, things that we're liking. That link is in our show notes. We have bonus episodes every Wednesday and also ad-free Dark Energy Tuesday if you're sick of our ads. And also our Thursday episodes are ad-free over there. So yeah, all those links are in our show notes. And thank you guys for listening. We love you so much. And we'll see you next time. See you next time. Bye. Bye.
