Key claims and notable examples
Hub’s Life quit a Fortune 500 analyst job to go full-time on TikTok, used a fake “work” setup, then begged viewers for “galaxies” during a live. When criticized, he claimed he donated galaxies to Texas flood victims but provided no proof. Kiss Cafe: creator Carla (15K followers) overheard chef Luke Sung and a host mocking her follower count; Luke allegedly told her her following was too small and compared her to his daughter’s 600K. Carla’s video hit 20.5M views; Luke’s daughter Issa Sung publicly defended Carla. Kiss Cafe later said Luke was no longer on the team and he resigned, issuing a personal apology.
Next Gen NYC
Georgia’s breakup with Omar is framed as scam-linked, with SEC trouble claims and alleged repeat behavior toward an ex (Shannon XXOO). The Valley: Jax’s Saloon is reported as closed/partnership ended; Jax is criticized for “villain” behavior and Brittany-related abuse allegations. Michelle and Aaron split is discussed alongside speculation about Aaron’s cocaine use.

Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Snarkbait. It's another Dark Energy Tuesday, the best day of the week. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. And today we are talking about a lot of TikTok drama, Hub's Life, The Kiss Cafe drama.
1:41Don't worry, we'll explain. Georgia and Omar from Next Gen NYC, the Valley finale, also RIP Jax's Saloon, RIP Michelle and Aaron's relationship, Love Island USA slash beyond the Villa updates, Justin Timberlake's quote unquote tour, the world tour, the world tour, Brian Koberger's sentencing, and then our dark energy objects and light energy objects of the week. Shall we? Let's do it. Let's do it.
2:20hi christy hey sophie happy sunday guys we're reporting to you live from our own homes july 27th sunday my god we have a lot to talk about yes we do how was your weekend in houston were you Houston, I was just telling you and Jordan off mic, I desperately need to touch grass because I've come to realize that my life online, 99 % of my friend group do not understand what I'm talking about. And I realized how fortunate I am to have you and the baby snarks and the snark bait team to talk about our perpetual online behavior. Because I was telling them about like certain things. They're like, what are you talking about, for instance, and we'll get into it in the notes.
3:04but the Brian Koberger victim impact statements. I had, I was with four of my girlfriends, 50 of my best girlfriends. And out of the five of us, two of them didn't even know what the Idaho murders were. Crazy to me, but I believe it because I was talking about it. I had mentioned this to you also, I think when we were recording our Patreon episode the other day and how I was at the office and I was like, guys, and it was the day of the sentencing. I was like, guys, Brian Koberger sentencing, who was obsessed with the Idaho murder case. Silence. Crickets. Everyone was like, I'm trying to like get my work done.
3:39I'm at the office. And I had coworkers that hadn't heard of the case, which I thought was insane. But it's like some people just aren't online. No, I feel as if I'm living in a different universe as my friends and like great friends of mine. But I was just, it was like an urge. And I was also telling you and Jordan off mic how I would perpetually say, well, maybe if you had a business you were passionate about, then you would know, but you don't. So don't even act like you know what it's like to run a business. Because my best friend, Michelle, I talked about it before, but she's franchised three different restaurants in Texas, in Houston and in Dallas.
4:12It's called Mitchie's. But the entire time I was asking her about her business, I was like, oh, that's so cool. And I kept saying, maybe if you had a business and I found myself like in every scenario, I'll be like, don't say it, don't say it, don't say it. Maybe if you had a business you were passionate about and they were like, enough. Like you gotta stop with that whole phrase. Like it's not funny anymore. And I'm like, okay, I'm still laughing, but like you don't have a sense of humor either. So, I mean. They don't get you like we get you. Wait, they don't love you like I love you. Wait. No, they don't.
4:43Like I have so many friends that are also very, very, very offline compared to me. And it's nice to have that in my life. But then come back to us. We have people. We have each other where we can talk about these things with. So it's okay to have those like offline friends. It's like actually refreshing. It's like, ooh, you don't know what's going on, do you? Little cavemen, little cavemen. It's nice. No, it's seriously, yeah. It's talking to like aliens on planet Mars or something. But I have never been so thankful to be talking all the shit that we're about to talk about on today's notes because we have like 5 million things on the outline.
5:26Yes, we do. And sorry, sorry. I don't even know what I was going to say. Okay. Well, I was going to say, because I had a perfect segue. Speaking of being extremely online, I actually was talking to Jordan, our producer, because Jordan, our producer was in New York the other day. So we got drinks and went out on the town. I mean, we literally just got margaritas, then went back to my apartment, but same thing. But I was like, oh my God, have you heard of this Hub's Life drama? and I was talking about it and she had it and Jordan our producer is also online like us but she hadn't heard of this so have you heard of this Hub's Life drama on TikTok no when I saw this on our DET notes I was thinking you were talking about Lindsay Hubbard and then as I was reading your notations I was like oh we're not talking about Lindsay Hubbard so no please enlighten me no we're not talking about Queen Lindsay Hubbard so there's this guy on TikTok with the handle hub's life.
6:20And he basically has gotten a following from doing like day in the life day, day in my life. As I like go to my nine to five as like a working guy, whatever with like kind of like soothing music. And he puts his laptop in his backpack really slowly. And that is kind of his M.O. He's married. He's a father now. But he apparently was like a senior analyst at a Fortune 500 company, a very well paying job, definitely made into the six figures, recently quit his job to do TikTok full time. But like this is like the common trap. This is the common mistake that a lot of TikTokers make is that they think, and I've seen so many think pieces about this on TikTok, but like they think that people care about their personality and them as a person when really it's their content that people liked.
7:21Like for him, it was his work content. And so something that he apparently did was he rented like a WeWork or like a fake office and pretended he was still going to work after he quit. Oh, so he was being disingenuous with his followers. So that kind of scenes he was quitting. Yes. Yes. Exactly. And then he ended up doing an Instagram live or a TikTok live recently where he was begging for galaxies. You know what a galaxy is? No. It's like some sort of like some form of payment on TikTok where it's like you can donate money to your favorite creators, like blah, blah, blah. And he's begging for galaxies.
7:56And he's like, guys, this is how I make a living now. So if you want me to like answer the tough questions, you're gonna have to send me a galaxy. People are like, what the fuck? First of all, we didn't ask you to quit your job. You had a well-paying job. Why are you begging us for money now? We don't even like you. We don't like you as a person. We liked your nine to five content. And now it's like, what the fuck am I following you for? And then because everyone was giving him shit for begging for galaxies, he was like, guys, I'm actually donating them to Texas flood victims. And then provided no proof that actually happened.
8:29and basically lied about donating galaxies to Texas flood victims, even though he was clearly begging for galaxies because, quote unquote, this is how I make a living now. Are you following this? I know it's like a lot. No, I am. And this is a con artist. This is a scam artist. This is crazy. People feel so emboldened when they're online to be like, first of all, I think to your point, people care about their personal lives more than we actually do. It's like, no, we enjoy your content that you've been serving us since day one, which is why we followed you to begin with. But two, why do you need to bring the Texas flood victims into it?
9:02Like what? Right. Right. That's so eerie. And if he has a family. Oh my God. And there are so many TikToks where his wife, you can tell that his wife is like so icked out by him. Like, yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. If that were, if Henry started filming day in my life or get ready with me is. no I think a lot of the time with influencers you have to really stay true to your brand and even if it evolves over time people follow you because this identity that you created from day one and again it doesn't mean that you have to stick to it forever people can evolve and change but at the core people love you for like a certain thing and I think something that I've seen a lot in our dms when people dm us about snark bait is we really like that you girls have full-time jobs Like I feel like there's a relatability factor to us where we're obviously not influencers.
9:59We don't have like paid partners. I mean, we have sponsors for the show, obviously, to keep the show running and the lights on. But like we're not influencers by trade. But I feel as if our followers would feel almost like sad if we didn't work full time jobs. You kind of feel that sometimes like a bit of a pressure. Yeah, but it's not even like snark bait. It's like about us having full time jobs. Like it definitely makes us like more relatable, of course. Like we're literally like normal girlies who just do this for fun. but for him specifically, like his content was centered around being this nine to five guy with like a real desk job and like heating up his leftovers at work and like sitting under fluorescent lights, which I think is really relatable to people.
10:40And it's kind of like, do you know? Okay. Callie on Tik TOK. She's another Tik TOK who was like in law school and then she wasn't in law school. And then people are like, well, what am I? What is your content then? You know, It's like they center their content around this specific part of their identity, whether it's being in law school or working nine to five that people think is really interesting or relatable or whatever it is. And I saw I can't remember. I'm sorry. I'm not going to give credit to this person who did this like thing piece on TikTok about it. But she was like someone who I feel like someone like Alex Earl, Alex Earl could do anything because people follow Alex Earl for her and for her personality and because they care about her and they like her.
11:19but it's like no one gives a fuck about hub's life as a person they liked his videos of him again reheating lunch at his desk or whatever you know right it's like there are so few influencers or online celebrities that people are like i will follow you anywhere i like you for who you are as a person and not just because of your content or whatever what other influencers do you feel are similar to alex earl where they could literally do anything and fans would follow i mean they're probably a lot like Paige Lorenz. We just did a Patreon episode. Maybe we cut that because it hasn't come out yet.
11:54No, no, I think it's fine. Yeah. Okay. Well, we are doing a Patreon episode of Paige Lorenz. It's coming. It's in a couple of weeks, but we've recorded it. Yeah, we recorded it. But I think Paige Lorenz is one of them. Paige Lorenz's followers, like I feel like she's pivoted a lot. And we talked about this in our episode. She has gone from, you know, this identity to this identity and Dairy Boy is really pivoted, but people are just there for whatever Paige Sorens does. What do you think? Yeah, she's a good example. I'm trying to think of others. I'm like struggling. There are definitely plenty, I would say.
12:27Hub's Life was not one of them. Yeah, right, right. Well, speaking of TikTok drama, have you heard about the Kiss Cafe drama in San Francisco? No, tell me. Okay, so I came across this very organically, like when I was just scrolling my FYP. And another one of our baby snarks DM'd me and said, I want you to look at this TikTok because it's relevant. And I know you used to live in San Francisco. So if you're not familiar with this story, there's a new wine bar in Hayes Valley, the Hayes Valley neighborhood in San Francisco. And there's a small creator. She had 15K followers. Her name is Carla. And she got invited by one of the workers to like showcase the food, do some content because there are very new.
13:06I did see this. Okay, sorry. Keep going. Yes. So she was really excited. You know, she's done this before. But again, she has a micro following. She's a micro influencer. And I would be willing to say, I mean, this is a little bit off topic. I would be willing to bet more on a micro influencer suggestions than a person with a million followers. We talk about this all the time. Like if Selena Gomez were hawking a skincare product, I will be less likely to buy it than a person that I follow closely who has 20 ,000 followers. I don't know what about that like psychologically would drive someone to trust someone with a smaller following.
13:37But it is what it is. In any case, she arrives at the restaurant. She's 30 minutes early. She's taking food photos and her husband is set to meet her at the bar. And as she's taking the content and taking pictures of the bar, she overhears the host who greeted her and who also invited her to the wine bar, speaking with the head chef named Luke Sung, where you later come to find out. And they're whispering amongst one another. But because the bar is so small, she can barely clearly hear what they're saying. And Luke Sung, the chef, is going, how many followers does this girl have? And the host is saying she has about 15K.
14:10He goes, show me her TikTok. And the host brings up his phone. They're putting it on max volume and she can hear them playing her TikToks. So she's feeling a little bit embarrassed, but she's like, whatever. I'm still here. I'm taking photos. I'm doing my job. I'm signing off on my end of the deal. The chef then approaches Carla after kind of like berating the host for inviting her and goes, do you know who I am? And Carla goes, no. And he says, I am a James Beard, like finalist or a recipient. I'm one of the biggest chefs in san francisco and your following is too small for someone that we would invite here this was a mistake we should have never invited you in the first place you only have 15k followers my daughter has 600k so he like brings his daughter into the equation and he goes are you here by yourself did you bring a plus one she goes I brought a plus one he's on his way he goes well he's already late and she was in her mind she was thinking well I got here 30 minutes earlier to shake content so he's actually right like he's still it's still not within the reservation at 5 p.m.
15:08So she leaves like very distraught and she leaves crying and she takes this video of her leaving the restaurant just in tears and she's recapping this entire thing. This video ends up blowing up to 20.5 million views as of this afternoon when I just checked on July 27th. Come to find out, I just came across a video from Luke Sung, the chef's daughter, standing up for Carla, the creator. And she says, I know my name was brought into this because my dad was touting to this influencer that I had 600K followers and she was nothing and I'm something. And she said, you know, coming from, she's like, it's embarrassing to me that my dad would make an AAPI creator feel so small and embarrass her and humiliate her in front of the entire restaurant.
15:48But even if it weren't an AAPI creator, even if it was just a normal person, you do not speak to people like this. And she was explaining to in her video, she's like, for anyone who has immigrant parents that don't understand like culturally what is right and wrong. This doesn't surprise me that he did this. She's like, this is how he acts. And I've had multiple conversations with him about many other instances where he acts, where he cannot regulate his emotions and he takes it out on other people. Oh God, that is like drama because now she's kind of like having to go against her own dad. Yes, yes.
16:21And I was going on her Instagram and her TikTok and she features her dad a lot. Like, you know, come with me to watch my chef father make dinner for us. Like she very much includes her family and her content. And people were trolling her being so mean about it. It's like this girl has nothing to do with it. Yeah. It's good for her for literally going against her own dad to stick up for this girl. A hundred percent. I commend this daughter. Her name is Issa, I-S-A, Issa Sung, for condemning her dad's behavior and standing with this creator. But any case, Kiss Cafe releases this statement. And this was released two days ago.
16:54So on July 25th, Friday, our chef's behavior was unacceptable and he is no longer a part of the team as a co-owner, a chef or in any other way. As of this post, he, meaning Luke, has reached out to the creator with a personal apology. This behavior does not reflect the remainder of our team. We want to create a space that's welcoming and respectful to everyone. In this instance, we failed to do so. We are closing soon and restructuring after these events. In the meantime, we hope to still be able to sustain the livelihoods of our team members and their families. Lastly, we understand the frustration and anger, but please do not use this lapse in our values as an opportunity to foment racism and hate speech towards us and our loved ones.
17:30Sincerely, the Kiss team. If you go on their Google reviews, when I checked a couple of days ago before this was being even released, they were at like 1.3 stars on Google. And Luke Sung, a couple of days later, posted to the Instagram. He goes, hi, everyone. I am Luke Sung, previous chef of Kiss Cafe. It was important for me to first apologize to Carla privately and step away from Kiss Cafe before publicly apologizing. Carla, I am truly sorry for any actions towards you. I was condescending, hurtful, and intimidating. You did not deserve to be made to feel less than or unimportant. Nobody does.
18:02Regardless, I thank you for teaching me a valuable lesson in kindness and respect. There are no excuses to be made, and I've decided it's time for me to step away from Kiss Cafe permanently in all capacities. And Kiss Cafe in the caption said that they did not fire the chef. He, on his own volition, resigned from the Kiss Cafe team. Oh my god. Oh, but the moral of the story is be kind to people, period. You have no idea who you're talking to. It doesn't matter how much clout or influence any single person has. You never know what power they could have in the future or just be a kind person in general.
18:38This is abhorrent behavior, and I'm glad that they took strides to removing him.
18:48guys you know we swear by one skin skincare and now they have a newly launched scalp serum os01 hair christy and i are both obsessed with it i've been using it since they launched it just a few months ago and if you're familiar with one skin which i hope you guys are by now you know about their patented os01 peptide and how it's scientifically proven to target aging at the cellular level. We love that for us. It's what powers all of their skin and sun care products. And now it's targeting age-related hair loss and thinning. And the OSO1 scalp serum is already getting rave reviews, including from us.
19:25My hair has never felt this thick and full in my scalp, which unfortunately often gets sun damage during the summer, has never felt healthier. And it's not just me. One skin scientist did a clinical study showing that after just six months, participants had significantly thicker and denser hair. And if you're ready to give OSO on hair a try, you can get 15 % off your first three months supply with code snark at oneskin.co. Oneskin is the world's first skin longevity company. By focusing on the cellular aspects of aging, Oneskin keeps your skin looking and acting younger for longer. And for a limited time, you can try Oneskin with 15 % off using code snark at oneskin.co.
20:04That's 15 % off oneskin.co with code snark after you purchase they'll ask where you heard about them please support our show and tell them we sent you you have no idea whose video about you could go viral yeah no but crazy like i remember actually seeing i didn't see any of the follow-up but i remember seeing it came across my for you page the video of her talking about how she was made to feel horrible about herself just because she didn't have tons and tons of followers, even though they had invited her or had signed off on her coming to show off the restaurant and getting a free meal. And it's crazy that they were talking, not only talking shit about her, where she could clearly hear them, which is just so horrible.
20:54Like I just, that's so just such a horrible feeling. I can't even imagine. And then also confronting her and saying this was a mistake. Like, what? I know. Basically asking her to leave after she'd already taken up her time to, like, shoot photos for the restaurant. Like, just horrible. But I think it's even crazier that the cafe just opened two months ago in May. And now they're? They're shutting their doors. So I don't know what that means if they're going to rebrand into an entirely new cafe. Because now there's just, there's a cloud over it. You can't walk by this restaurant without knowing, like, the scandal.
21:27So they probably I'm assuming when it sounds like they're just going to rebrand and maybe make it a new a new restaurant or whatever. But in any case, this is taking the Internet by storm. And I felt super badly for Luke Sung's daughter who had to basically get up on her platform with a lot of followers and reprimand her father and talk about, frankly, the trauma that her and her siblings have had to carry on behalf of her her father and how, again, he cannot regulate his emotions. And she's like, we've had this conversation with him so many times. You cannot treat people this way. And she said the minute she saw Carla's video, she knew exactly that it was about her father.
22:01She's like, she didn't even have to say the name. I knew it was my dad who would treat her like that. Oh, my God. That's a really shitty burden for a daughter to have, obviously. And again, I commend her for taking the creator. What was the creator's name again? It's Carla BB, baby. Taking Carla's side. Yes. And going against her own dad. And it's just crazy that he has to be told by his children how to act and how to treat people. Like what? Right. She, oh my gosh, she now has a 366 ,000 followers on TikTok. She had a 15K just like five days ago. Yes. I remember. Cause I remember seeing, I was like, yeah, she's a micro influencer.
22:40She's a smaller creator. Oh my God. Good for her. And I mean, we'll see what happens with Kiss Cafe, I guess. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God. Okay, another TikTok drama that I want to touch on. We're like talking a lot about TikTok. You don't, I know you don't watch Next Gen NYC, Christy. I know it was the finale and a lot of people are telling me to watch it. You have to, it's so good. Really? It's so good. It was actually Bravo's like highest rated premiere ever, maybe. It was some sort of like record-breaking premiere and season in terms of viewership. People like like a lot of people were shitting on it before it premiered.
23:21And then like people ended up really liking it. OK, but there is one character named Georgia and she is famously the the girl on the show that does not wash her hands. It's like rage bait. Who else doesn't? Was it Alex Bennett that we did an episode on where she didn't wash her hands? Oh, yeah, it's so I'm sorry. And as a germaphobe, Christine, I are both kind of like germaphobic. I got off a plane and I haven't showered. Do you know how fucking disgusting I feel? It's because I didn't have time because we were recording shortly after my flight. I need to jump in the shower immediately after we hit stop recording.
23:55Chrissy wiped down her suitcase. It didn't even get on a plane. It was just in her trunk. Wiped down her suitcase when she got home. And you know what? I influenced Henry because he too wiped down your suitcase when you came home from L.A. Yeah, Henry started doing that. But anyway, so Georgia has some gross habits. Either way, she ended up being, in my opinion, I would say that Arielle Bierman is like the number one, like breakout star of the show. And then also Riley Burris, who is Candy Burris's daughter. Obviously Arielle Bierman is Kim Zolciak's daughter. So those are, it's Ariana Bierman.
24:30Why do I always call her Arielle Bierman? I did this on, yeah, it's Ariana. Excuse me. I did this on Trigger Warning Ryan Bailey's show too. And I swear I got it. I was like, it's Arielle Bierman. anyway it's funny that I keep calling her the breakout star of the show and I can't even get her name right Ariana Beerman and Riley are probably the breakout stars Brooks and Gia Brooks Marks Meredith Marks's son Gia Giudice Teresa Giudice's daughter they both were like the top build names for the show yeah it kind of flopped that's what I've heard because Gia Giudice is the only one of the entire cast that I was familiar with and I don't even watch New Jersey so the fact and I've heard yeah she kind of sucks she was a flop Georgia I would say was kind of the other breakout start in my opinion she was a little controversial again because of kind of her gross habits I think that you know she's a little socially awkward but I really like her anyway she is dating this guy Omar during the series and in the finale it's revealed that they broke up and he left her stranded in Singapore and kicked her out of their ten thousand dollar month apartment.

25:40And it's come out since that he actually is this huge scammer. So he's like a crypto trader, like whatever. That's what he talks about on the show. He's gotten in trouble with the SEC before for like running a fake hedge fund or like a scam hedge fund when he was like 20 years old. Also was always on the show wearing like an ill fitted suit, like the same suit every single scene and it like didn't fit him. And so now his ex-girlfriend named Shannon XXOO on TikTok is exposing him and saying he did the exact same thing to her that he did to Georgia, as in leave her stranded in a foreign country and like kick her out of their home.
26:19And she, and I just caught up on all of her TikToks and she hasn't revealed anything that juicy yet. She's talking about how they traveled to Italy or Spain together. And he they were having like brainstorm sessions. Then there were like hookers or prostitutes there basically that he likes to party. But I'm like, where is like the scandal? So I'm I'm keeping my you know, I'm boots on the ground on Shannon XXOO's TikTok to find out the tea. There hasn't been anything super juicy revealed yet, but it's pretty clear that omar is a scammer is this the guy who i saw skateboarding on the street harley that's harley and he's like he's mini jacks taylor he is like a very very very i think better than jacks taylor like he's not he's not on the level yet but he's a really really really good reality tv villain the bar for jacks taylor is so fucking high i don't think anyone could ascend jacks when it comes to villain behavior.
27:18Wait, speaking of Jax's bar, perfect segue. R-I-P. R-I-P to Jax's saloon. And it was on our list to go when we're going to be in LA in a few weeks. Oh, I know. I'm devastated only because it would have been so funny to just like troll the bar and take photos, but it's common knowledge now. I was just like, I was just fantasizing about, because I picture being a saloon. Like I haven't been there, but like the saloon doors, I just like pictured myself like barging in wait did you see the review from like a patron on Yelp or Google reviews and everyone thinks it was Jax Taylor that wrote it wait was it like a positive review yes wait have you seen this is it written like Frank Drummond like in his voice I'm sorry I just I didn't write this in our in our notes but I'm gonna try and find it I think it's the reviewer was Charlie but keep going as I find it please find it so in the meantime Jax announced that he's quote unquote stepping away.
28:15This was his statement. He said, I've made the decision to end my partnership with Jax's. It wasn't an easy decision, but it was the right one. Right now, my focus is on my sobriety and mental health and staying connected to my bar is no longer in line with the priorities I've set for myself and the life I'm working towards. Give me a break. You got the partnership ended because the bar severed ties. Shut up. Yes, exactly. It's like, well, if you're not going to be on the show, it's not worth it. It's not worth it. He definitely got his partnership terminated. I actually liked what this person on the Valley Reddit, Esra Chavez, I don't know.
28:48It's a bunch of letters, said using his name on the patio extension of Rocco's because it was barely like an actual bar. It was like the patio of this restaurant, Rocco's, was solely for a storyline. He never owned the bar or a liquor license or did any work to keep it operating. Payroll, orders, kitchen, everything was Rocco's. I would venture he never invested a dime. Production picked up all the costs and he was paid a fee for the use of his name and likeness. No show, no bar. Simple as that. Yes. And I actually read. So I never ended up watching the Valley After Show, which apparently was a whole like must see TV on its own.
29:20I know. I heard that. I didn't watch it either. So people are saying on the Valley After Show he was bragging about having never invested a dime of his own money when it comes to Jax's. He always tells on himself. Yeah, always. Always. He's because he's such a fucking idiot. He's literally so dumb. He doesn't realize that he puts his foot in his mouth. But I found it from Clay C. One day ago. I recently dined at Jack's Studio City, and wow, let me start out by saying it is a beautiful facility. The place is spotless, the foliage lush, and the art eye-catching. I ordered several items off of the wonderfully curated menu from Jack's salad pie to the hot pretzel to the Prince Edward Island mussels.
29:55Each item was better than the last. I was lucky enough that Jack's tailor was working that day I dined, and God was he friendly. Jack's went table to table, thanking his patrons, cleared plates, rang up tabs, and wiped down the bar back. Twice, in parentheses. Jax was also drinking water with lemon, which was awesome to see. Anyway, I'll definitely be back. 10 out of 10. 1000 % freak drumming. The concept of ordering muscles at Jax's saloon. Wait, what is salad pie? No, a couple of questions. What is salad pie? I've heard of chicken pot pie. I've not heard of... Do you think it's like a salad pizza pie?
30:30I'm envisioning like a Chicago, like Grimaldi's deep dish pizza, but with salad in it instead. Oh, I was like, so just like, I was like focusing on like what this person ordered the muscles. But, but, and God, was he friendly? That just gets me. God, was he friendly? And there's no punctuation in this. So it's hard for me to even read it back. Okay, then yes, you know, it's Jackson. If it's, if there's no punctuation, if things are misspelled, incorrect grammar. He is so dumb. And I was thinking about this. Vanderpump Rules was predicated on a bunch of young 20-somethings and in Jax's case early 30-somethings.
31:11Partying, fucking each other, being hella messy. It was just like a fun watch. It got dark at times but like it was still fun and like one of the best reality shows I think we've ever seen alongside Jersey Shore. Yeah. We see the valley and we see Jax come back and we were probably so excited to relive the early days of Vanderpump once again. and we got an entirely different show that I don't think anyone was prepared to watch. It completely shifted and it just became a complete dark cloud over Bravo. And I think they knew probably while they were filming when they forced Jax to go to rehab, we can no longer do this show with him.
31:48Again, it's a liability. Like it's just, it's crazy to see how much he's, I don't even want to say changed because he's always been a menace, but I really think he suffered a lot of trauma in his childhood that he's never really talked about. And I really think the coke usage has completely altered his brain to where his violence and his anger has just gotten so much more extreme. And it's just horrifying. I don't even want to like give him those excuses though. No, that's fair. Like childhood trauma and like, oh, like coke usage damaging my brain is something that he would say as an excuse. You know, like it almost like gives him an out.
32:25he is he is so evil on his own there is no excuse for how much of a sociopath he is I don't know if you saw like the preview for the reunion part one where Brittany goes I'm shaking I'm so nervous or whatever and Jax goes you should be literally sounded like a threat and she also mentions in the preview for the reunion how Jax Andy asked about how their divorce is going she was like hopefully it will be we will be officially divorced soon. But Jack said that he is prolonging it because he thinks he's going to be fired from the show. And he wants to see if he will be able to get alimony from like alimony.
33:05Yeah. And he couldn't even deny it. He was like, yeah, that's that's sort of true. And she goes, Jack's come on. That's 100 percent true. He's just evil. There is no low that he will not go to like he is just so despicable and so fucking disgusting and he had this redemption arc just given to him on a silver platter this new show he he was the center of this new show oh my god what better redemption arc yeah it was really clouded over scannibal but it really frightened me honestly like i felt a fight or flight in my stomach when watching the finale which we'll get into like the Michelle and Aaron too as we're talking about the valley but when she goes sign the divorce papers and he goes uh he's like I'm gonna take my time why yep because I can and I felt like my stomach dropped just feeling how not only is he mentally and physically abusing Brittany like we've all seen on the screen he's financially abusing her it is just a terrifying person to watch and he has absolutely no qualms about exhibiting this behavior in front of the camera behind the camera I don't even want to know what he has done to Brittany when there were no cameras it's probably unspeakable yeah the fact that he says this shit on camera like at the reunion saying you should be shaking terrifying terrifying and yeah I completely agree with you that that was like chilling it's like you are trying to torture literally torture the mother of your child he is just on another fucking level um what did you think of the the finale otherwise don't fucking get me started on jason and fan it i fucking hate them actually i would go so far as to say jane it obviously sucks like she sucks since day one of episode one of season one jason might be worse the fact that he is completely uplifting jacks she's saying oh man you're so strong for going to rehab you're getting your life together you're doing the right thing for cruise while at the same time trying to villainize danny for i'm not saying what Danny is doing is great.
35:06Okay. It does sound like Danny probably has a little bit of an alcohol problem. Okay, fine. That's not great either. But the fact that Janet and Jason continue to uplift Jax and villainize Danny, who's just honestly, from what I'm seeing, trying his best. He's trying to not drink. He spent three weeks after Hawaii not drinking. He's putting in the work. Jax Taylor has absolutely nothing to show for it. And the fact that Jason came at Zach in the way that he did. I saw something on Reddit where they said Jason loves tear down women and the tokenized gay man. That is Zach. But God forbid he comes at Jax, who's the literal abuser of the show.
35:44Like put your energy towards someone who literally deserves it, you piece of fucking shit. And don't get me started on fan it. Like literally, I hate you. I hate both of them. They're a match made in hell. It was so fucking funny when Jax tried to like come at Danny during the finale and was like, so I see you're you're not what what's going on brother and Danny was like nothing um and he goes I see you're not drinking good or like whatever Danny was like Jax you have no fucking leg to stand on what are you even talking about yes it's just like so embarrassing how much Jax is trying to take the heat off of himself and cannot stand that Danny and Nia have gotten a good at it like He's so mad they got a good edit.
36:26And then also at Michelle's Zen party during the finale, I guess, was it Michelle who wrote the notes to everyone? Yes. And the notes to Jax was like, you're so resilient and inspiring. Where? Literally where? Resilience where? These people, they're not very bright, but the fact that they cannot pick up on these behaviors from Jax is very concerning to me. They don't have critical thinking skills, like I say. As a lifelong renter who's probably going to be renting for the rest of my life at this point, it's hard for me to justify splurging on custom furniture or like chic, expensive vintage home finds when I know this isn't my forever home.
37:06That's what Wayfair is for. Because even though renting makes me less enthusiastic about spending money on furniture and home decor, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated. Duh. Vinted is a secondhand marketplace app that makes it so easy to sell the pieces you're no longer wearing so you can make space for stuff that you actually will. 39:30And it's not just during a move when your to-do list can feel like it's 10 pages long. 40:45That's why I love Quince. It's my go-to for bedding for so long now with high-quality materials like 100 % European linen and organic cotton. You can feel the difference, you guys. It feels like you're in a hotel bed, okay? 42:03She's trying to support Jax only when it pertains to Brittany. She wants Jax to get better and supports him when it pertains to Cruz and Brittany. But otherwise, she's disconnecting herself. She's like, I'm not going to be there for you. We're not going to grab lunch together. We're not homies. Like, I am Brittany's girl. That's the way that you should navigate as a friend between Jax and Brittany. Jason, he thinks it's almost like he idolizes Jax. It's very bizarre. What's that about? It's almost like him and Janet have been fans of Vanderpump since day one. And they're like, we're hanging out with a celebrity, if you even want to call it that.
42:36And they're like, we're going to go with, I'm putting this in quotes, star of the show. That is Jax Taylor. We're going to align ourselves with the star of the show. The reason the show exists, even though I hate to fucking say that and have those words come out of my mouth. It's true. And we're not going to give a fuck about morals or good versus evil. No, we're just going to align ourselves with Jax because we're fans of his. I feel like that's literally it. Is that like they fan it at least for sure was a Vanderpump Rules fan at Bitset. And yeah, doesn't want to go against Jax. And also, as much as I feel for Britney in this situation, she a friend of all is a friend of none.
43:11that scene where she where Fanit is talking about Kristen and saying oh I wish that she got arrested the night that she got proposed to and she would have to put her ring in a plastic baggie and Brittany is just sitting there hucking laughing that is not a good friend no like Janet Janet's been nothing but a good friend to me I can't do anything about Janet because she's been nothing but good to me it's like Brittany staying on the right side of history like we're here supporting you kristen has literally fought to the death for you and for nia yeah kristen is not problematic on this show she's standing with the right people on this show and britney she loves to live in the middle i mean we see it with her relationship with jackson that's a whole other story obviously she's a victim to abuse and it's almost like a stockholm syndrome from like domestic violence perspective i'm not blaming her for kind of going back to jack's here and there because she's at the end of the day but and people love to fucking villainize britney though to be clear online.
44:08It's horrible. They say, well, Brittany got what she deserved. No, like Jax was a master manipulator. And it's what he does. It's what he does. But yeah, also Brittany on Watch What Happens Live with Zach. She is so lucky that Zach still wants to be her friend after, you know, all the time she has taken Janet's side over his. Also like poor Brittany. She needs to get like a stylist. Her outfit on Watch What Happens Live was so bad. But obviously, again, we are Team Brittany, 1 ,000 and a million percent. It's going to be a tumultuous time having Jax as the father of your child. She is in for a lifetime of drama with him.
44:50So all the strength to Brittany. What did you think about Michelle and Aaron breaking up? I love listening to Watch What Crappens whenever they talk about Aaron's alleged coke habit because his dog his dog is named kilo and his honey website is named kilo co oh yeah might as well put it on your fucking forehead that you love cocaine his honey website from his honey website a half kilo of pure uncut white honey in a squeeze bottle that's easy to handle it literally is like it's not in unambiguous or it's not ambiguous excuse me yeah like he obviously likes or appreciates coke and yeah i just think it's interesting i obviously it's a sad situation because Isabella, who was Michelle and Jesse's daughter, became really close to Aaron.
45:36They were living together, but she was so worried about Jesse introducing a girl to their daughter. And but then meanwhile, she had Aaron basically just step into the stepdad role immediately, moved in together very quickly. And then they end up breaking up. Yeah, right. I mean, pot kettle black. I don't think Michelle and Jesse can really point fingers at either of each other because they both kind of suck. Yeah. What was I going to say about, oh, I was also listening to Watch What Crap and they were talking about Jessie's girlfriend who is like a realtor, I think, in Orange County. And I guess they were, Ronnie and Ben were calling her a flat earther because they assumed because she lives in OC that she's a Republican.
46:16Oh, yeah. Did you hear that? And then she like responded. Yeah, she ended up reaching out. She's like, no, I don't believe the earth is flat. I just thought that was so fucking funny. But yeah, I mean, the real victim in this is obviously Isabella it sucks for Michelle I feel like she's already gone through a lot is her mother her mother passed away oh shit yeah um I think in the fall oh damn okay that's really sad so she's going through a lot Michelle has been through a lot it's sad wait sorry really quickly and no you're not a Love Island watcher but seven minutes ago I when I was trying to find the Jax Taylor Charlie C Yelp review yeah Love Island USA post Miguel who is paired up with Leah the star of season six and Cordell who won with Serena that are also still together they just unfollowed Kenny Rodriguez who is paired up with Janae their best friend that's I know you're not a watcher but so that's just drama these are people from is this beyond the villa people yes so Love Island season six they had a spinoff and they're all living their life in LA.
47:21And so, you know, PPG, the Powerpuff Girls, it's Leah, Janay, Serena, and their three boyfriends. Yeah. Okay. So they're, they're like the biggest stars to come out of the Love Island show probably ever. And they have the most followers. They've gotten incredible brand partnerships. Like everyone loves them. They're America's sweethearts and all their men America loves. But one of the guys, Kenny on Beyond the Villa has shown a lot of like, not even disdain, just kind of indifference towards Janay and a whole storyline of theirs that's been airing on Beyond the Villa. There's only been three episodes, but they live in the same apartment complex.
47:54They basically share a wall, but Kenny refuses to live with Janae, even though they like literally basically do live together. And Janae has been pressuring him or like desiring for them to live together. And Kenny just seems very disinterested. And I don't know if that's the edit that they're giving or what it is, but it seems as if the edit has been impacting their relationship because if Miguel and Cordell, Janae's two best friends, boyfriends, have unfollowed Kenny, that tells me something has happened. That they broke up. Yeah. So food for thought. That's actually a big deal. Breaking news.
48:26Oh my God. Janae. Oh my God. I just refreshed. Janae unfollowed Kenny and removed all of their pictures together. Oh, so they definitely broke up. Oh my God. Wait. I have chills. I have chills. All right, Pete. You guys, this is breaking news. Breaking. Wait, what? Breaking. You are hearing Christy's real-time reaction to this. Meanwhile, I'm like, okay. Yeah. Whoever these people are. I was watching Beyond the Villa when I was in Houston with my girlfriends. And I was like, dude, I feel like Kenny's not feeling it. And they're like, oh, shut up. And I was like, no, I don't know if it's the edit.
48:57Oh, my God. Wait, your friends keep telling you to shut up no matter what you say. You're like, maybe if you had a business. Oh, Kenny's not feeling it. They're like, shut the fuck up, Christy. We were disagreeing about who we liked on Love Island. They're like, you're being so pick me. I'm like, so what if I am? So what if I am? Oh, my God. Okay, one other thing. Actually, I feel like we have two more agenda items before we get to dark energy objects and light energy objects of the week. I want to talk about Justin Timberlake's quote unquote tour. Have you seen the TikToks of his tour where he goes, I got this feeling, puts the mic down, has the audience just sing the rest of the song?
49:38And he walks around the stage. He's like, there was one I that was like in Dublin. There was like another another one where it was raining really hard. and he just had his hoodie on and he was just like, yeah, he looked miserable. Did not want to be there at all. What even is the point of this tour? So it's like, remember what that whole thing where he got a DUI and he's like, this is going to ruin the tour, the world tour. And this is the tour. I came across a video of someone saying, all right, NSYNC fans, I feel we've lost. Backstreet Boys is doing their residency at the sphere. They're apparently putting on a hell of a production.
50:13It's like really good. even though Nick Carter is obviously incredibly problematic. That deserves its whole other episode because he's a legitimate SIR. There's been many allegations that have come out against him, but he's been able to kind of overcome them because he's part of this bigger group and they're making a lot of money now. But in any case, NSYNC fans were taking the L and Backstreet Boys were taking the W. And it's so sad because I was an NSYNC girlie. I was kind of a little, I lived in both worlds. You know, I wasn't like one or the other. I kind of enjoyed both of them for what they were.
50:44I will say. Okay, Bella Swan. I will say, I think the Backstreet Boys were like, were to Christina Aguilera as NSYNC was to Britney Spears. And not because Britney and Justin dated, but when it comes to talent and songs, I do think Backstreet Boys were more talented than NSYNC. Obviously, Justin was talented. Oh, and see, I was thinking that NSYNC, like that was the moment. And I know that Backstreet Boys was also, but like they were Britney Spears and that like they were just the bigger star. They were performers at the end of the day. I don't think Backstreet Boys had the performance like grit.
51:17Christina had the voice, but she didn't have that energy on stage, whereas NSYNC did. And I've seen both of them in concert as a kid. Yeah, you would know. So I can say this. But one other last thing I want to talk about is Brian Koberger's sentencing. Obviously, we talked about this at the very top. And we're going to do an Idaho 4 episode on Patreon because Sophie and I just know so much about this case. At this point, we've watched so many documentaries. We've been following it since it happened. But Madison Mogan's biological father, Ben, he was featured on the four-part docuseries on Amazon Prime, which if you guys haven't watched any Idaho 4 documentaries, this is the one I would watch on Amazon Prime.
51:57Oh, it's so well done. It focuses on the victims. Yes, it's called One Night in Idaho. And to Sophie's point, you hear directly from the victims and, excuse me, victims' families. And those directly impacted the friends that were there that day. And we've never heard from any of the college students on the ground when it happened until now. At least I had not. Madison Mogan's biological father, Ben. I don't know if it's because I'm about to start my cycle. But when Madison Mogan's father came up, he's already struggled with so much in his life. He's been an addict. He wasn't there for some parts of Maddie's life because he was suffering so much with mental health.
52:34And I seriously was sobbing when I was watching him speak. but he basically said towards the end, he's like, I had so many things written down and I can't even say them because I just love her so much and I miss her. I'm going to start crying again. I know. And it's, it's so sad. It just sounds like obviously he's had, you know, he talks about struggling with addiction and, and abusing drugs. And he just thought he had more time with his daughter. He was like, I thought we had more time. I didn't take advantage of the time. Like I took it for granted, I guess, was was kind of the thesis of his of his statement.
53:08And it was just it was so sad. Obviously, he was like, she was the only thing I was ever proud of. Stop. You're going to make me cry. I know it's so it's so, so, so freaking sad. And just Brian Koberger is like just face the entire time during these victim statements was so terrifying. And he was just staring right at them. It was so creepy. And Kaylee Gonsalves, his family, they've gone viral for their statements. Her father's statement, her older sisters, especially Olivia's, her older sister, Olivia seemed to give the one statement that really, really, really got under his skin. Like you could see a little bit like his lip trembling.
53:46She was taunting him as she should. Yeah. She basically was like you, because he gets off on the fact that they're hurt and they're devastated and their lives are ruined. But she was like, no, let's talk about you. Let's talk about how much of a fucking loser you are. Don't ever, ever get mistaken that you are anything other than a piece of shit just because people said your name for the first time. Just talk about how average and ordinary he is, how stupid and slow he was. And that's why he got caught because he thought he was really smart. He thought he was going to get away with it. So she definitely like got under his skin in a really incredible way.
54:25Like it was just amazing to watch, but obviously all of it is just so fucking sad. I couldn't help but laugh and neither could the judge when Christy, Kaylee Gonsalves' mother came up on stage and she goes, and this is a message from our youngest daughter, Brian, we know you're used to getting A's in school, but in prison, you're going to be getting big D's. And even the judge went. I know that was crazy. And it's like, I'm like, yeah, we don't really joke about prison rape, but this is the family of a of a murdered young woman so they're entitled to say whatever they want whatever the fuck they want in fact they're glad that he should be glad they didn't go further i it's so interesting to watch the amazon prime documentary and get to know the victims more ethan zanna maddie and kaylee and from what i've gathered maddie was kind of the more shy quiet reserve one you kind of had to she had to warm up to you but she was just like had a heart of gold and Kaylee was like the crazy spunky one.
55:25And I totally understand where she got it from. Her family are all firecrackers. Her brother had a speech that he couldn't even do on the stand in court because he would have been arrested for contempt because he was basically shitting all over the Idaho prosecution because they were upset that the prosecution went to a plea deal without consulting the family. So Steven Gonsalves, Kaylee's older brother, talked with a news station right after the sentencing and he did like a three minute speech And he's like, I couldn't even say it because I would have been arrested. But he did it. And Kaylee's father, he even said that on the podium where they're supposed to give a speech, there's this big block letter saying, do not move this podium.
56:02And Kaylee's father was like, fuck it. I told everyone I'm going to go first because I want to look the stupid piece of shit in the eye. So he's like, I moved that podium. If I were to arrest, he's like, arrest me. Like I was willing to be the guinea pig and move that podium because I wanted to stare this fucker in the face, which I'm so glad they did. And what is interesting is Ethan Chapin's parents on the Amazon Prime documentary, One Night in Idaho, they were like, we have no desire to go to any court hearing. We don't want anything to do with it. It's not going to bring Ethan back. We just are focusing on healing moving forward.
56:32So every victim's families went up to the stand except the Chapins, which totally their prerogative. And that's how they're going to heal. And we totally respect it. Yeah, no, totally. I remember them saying that, too, because I was like, huh, it's interesting that the Chapin family. And then I was like, oh, yeah, they said on the documentary that they want nothing to do with any of that because they can't change the past. It's not going to change anything. But yeah, about Kaylee Gonsalves, her sister also at the end was like, if you hadn't attacked the girls and she kept saying my sisters because Maddie and Kaylee were so close.
57:03They were like sisters. They'd grown up together. And she was like, if you hadn't attacked my sisters in their sleep like a fucking pedophile, I know that Kaylee would have beaten your fucking ass or something along those lines. And I think that she would have. And the more details come out, because obviously there was a gag order about details of the crime. So we're just finding out about a lot of details. And from what it sounds like, Maddie and Ethan were both asleep when they were attacked. I mean, everyone besides Zanna was asleep at the time. But I don't know if it even registered with Maddie and Ethan.
57:39Yeah, I hope that they didn't have to suffer. I hope not. Yeah. Kaylee apparently put up a huge, massive fight. And Zanna. And Zanna. And Zanna did. So those are like the details that are coming out. And you guys were going to cover this more extensively on a Patreon. So we won't get into the nitty gritty. But yeah, that happened this week. What are your dark energy objects of the week, Christine? Okay. So I hate when I am on a flight and people keep their windshield open. Windshield? You mean window? Window. Yeah. The window and the plane open. And on both my flight to Houston and back, the person in my row kept the window open. I just think it's like so disruptive, especially it's bright and it's like I have to wear sunglasses or I just I find it very disorienting when I'm up in the air it's like it's just really fucking bright even a small crack makes it very bright yes I agree but I'm usually a window seat person so it's usually like my if you're in the window seat you got to it's it's your body your choice in the window seat like you got to choose so I don't know interesting I'm an ILC girl oh see I'm window seat always and because who are you guys are you a sophie or christy are you a window or an aisle window aisle chocolate vanilla if you know you know if you know you know we talked about this on patreon but yeah i agree i need the windows shut because i want to sleep on the plane i don't want to be awake on the plane i want to time travel real quick i want to wake up my eyes open up i'm already landed i'm at the destination it's great two other things as it pertains to um just like housing in general me and my friend angie we are both kind of ocd like we're both just very anxiety prone and very ocd so we were saying and none of the girls understood it they're like what are you guys talking about um something about not showering in your own shower is deeply unsettling i agree i don't like it like i need to be in my shower unless it's like a five-star hotel exactly that's exactly right so we were explaining to the girls we're like well this shower that's in the master there was like brown tiling everywhere so I don't know if it's clean so the entire time I was like I felt ill in that shot again this is like a me thing this is me being like mentally ill but me and my family were like this is disgusting like we don't want to shower like I feel dirtier when I leave the shower and they're like what are you talking about like you just don't understand yeah um so that's one another thing was the rugs the bathroom mats black it no if I wasn't already unsettled.
1:01:48I really don't know. You really don't know. When was the last time they cleaned it? If I wasn't already unsettled in the brown shower, I'm certainly unsettled on the black rug. Like dark, dark carpets, like in like a hotel of any kind. No. A hotel that I stayed at recently for a wedding, dark carpets. It was a Hilton garden. And I was walking around in socks around because it's like, I'm not walking around barefoot on the carpet. The bottom of my socks were black. okay i seriously i'm gonna throw up please it's too soon it's too soon disgusting no it's really and again if you guys aren't as ocd as as sophie and i don't care about this thing i i seriously wish i could be like you like i'm not just trying to be like a pick me and no no it actually unsettles me no i mean yeah i completely completely get it last thing i just don't like staying in airbnbs period like i just don't unless we're in a big group and it's the best way to do a trip I will always say in a hotel 10 times out of 10.
1:02:45I hate when you're departing and the host pings you telling you to strip the sheets, put the towels in the hamper, mow the lawn. Wait, we've talked. This has definitely been a dark energy object before. We're like, you, you mow your own fucking lawn. Yes. Clean the gutters. Yeah, no. Yeah. I'm not. I don't even clean the gutters on my own home. Do you expect me to clean the gutters in your house? Like, okay, sorry if I'm repeating it. But this came up again because the Airbnb, I guess we did. Jordan's like you've, you've talked about this. Yeah, you guys, we've talked about this before. That's how much we hate Airbnb chores.
1:03:16Like, I'm going to send this to you, Sophie, just like the chores that this host had us do. I was just like, so then me and my friends were like, we put the towels and the handpuff, but we're like, we had to leave so early this morning. We're just like, we're just not going to do it. If they charge us, okay, charge us. Yeah, at that point, you're just like, okay, well, you know what? I'd rather pay a little extra than have to mow your lawn, scrub your dirty shower that was dirty when I got here the brown tiles clean your black no actually I mean clean the bed strip the beds and see how like grimy the mattresses are like it's just like not don't like it but again I know we've discussed this you guys so um you guys know how we feel about that sorry one of the things we were just saying how much more incremental time would it take a person to strip the sheets do you know what I mean how much more time would that really take wait what do you mean like what do you mean you want to go to China on the weekends what do you mean what do you mean wdym if you're already cleaning the home and you're taking out the trash how much more incremental like if you want me to strip the sheets on your behalf how much more time would it really take the person that's cleaning to strip the sheets by themselves right right it's like for me i'm like no that takes up way too much time but like for someone else doing it yeah like that's a really quick task but for me i'm like no this is like so laborious and to and to that point it's not even that it's like annoying to strip the sheets it's like I don't really want to see what I've been sleeping on this whole time like it's more in a psychological thing that's the other thing mattresses anywhere I don't want to see what the mattress looks like because it's gonna be yellow god forbid there's a blood stain stop like oh my god no I said no I'm sorry it's like I don't want to see that anyway I know sorry to repeat ourselves I know that we have talked about Airbnb tours before but we don't like them if you can't tell.
1:05:03So I actually didn't have any DEOs this week because I was just like in a really good mood, I guess. I have a couple light energy objects, though. I was talking to Jordan, our producer, about Dexter Resurrection. Christy does not watch Dexter and has not watched. It's like now like a franchise. There was Dexter, there was Dexter New Blood, and then there was Dexter Original Sin, which I also just started. And it's like a prequel about young Dexter and the young characters with different actors, which I was kind of nervous about. But it's actually really good. and Dexter Resurrection, they basically brought Dexter back to life twice.
1:05:37They killed him or they didn't kill him. They disappeared him kind of at the end of Dexter the series, brought him back for Dexter New Blood. Then the ending of Dexter New Blood, everyone was like, well, that fucking sucks. And so then they brought Dexter back again for Dexter Resurrection. But Dexter Resurrection is so good so far, you guys. If you loved Dexter vintage, it feels like vintage Dexter. It just is so good. It's weekly episode releases. So like I am just waiting every single week for a new episode to drop. It's on. I watch on prime with a Paramount plus plugin. It's like so annoying.
1:06:15There are so many like plugins now to watch it, but it's worth it. I highly recommend another TV thing. I know you also don't watch in just like that, Christy. And just like that finally had a good episode this past week. And the entire series, because I've heard it's trash from you and everyone else. It's so bad. It's so bad. It's good, though. Like, it's one of those hate watch situations. Totally. I actually saw Crossover on the Just Like That subreddit talking about how, like, reboots can be good. Look at Dexter. Look at Dexter Resurrection. Like, there's, like, a lot of overlap between Dexter lovers and Sex and the City or Just Like That lovers.
1:06:49But, yeah, it finally had a good episode, so I'm feeling hopeful. Hopeful. Spoiler alert. Bye, Aiden. Bye-bye. Did he die? Aiden. No. he didn't die they broke up they broke up spoiler alert so just bye Aiden like he was so insufferable on and just like that and then one last thing apparently Liam Neeson and Pam Anderson are dating which I love I love that I think they're both just incredible humans and I was devastated when Natasha Richardson I hope I didn't watch it is that her name yes Natasha Richardson I mean iconic his late wife right who was the mom and the parent trap who like as kids i like thought she was princess diana yes like she was just she was so classic elegant and beautiful and she was gone too soon from such a freak accident honestly from skiing so i'm really happy that liam neeson is finding happiness with a perfect woman that is pamela anderson she's a wonderful woman and i couldn't find two people more fitting for one another honestly so happy for them genuinely And yeah, I just I'm a huge fan of both Pam Anderson and Liam Neeson.
1:08:00I love it's like a running joke on trigger warning Ryan Bailey that I just watch anything Liam Neeson is in. I love a Liam Neeson movie. He just is an amazing like action hero actor. And then Pam Anderson is making this comeback and acting with the movie The Last Showgirl, which is supposed to be really good. So yeah, I am very, very hopeful about that new coupling. They deserve happiness. to both of them. I feel like they've both gone through a lot of obstacles in their lives and they deserve like a happy ending. So they have both been through some shit. Yes. Traumatic, traumatic experiences.
1:08:36Yeah. And I feel like when you've gone through some hardships, you can relate more with to people who have also gone through tough shit. It's not like not even I'm not even saying like a trauma bond. It's more so just you can relate on a level that most others cannot, which is very special. Definitely. One other thing I wanted to shout out from a light energy object is me and my girlfriends this weekend were playing this game called Telestrations After Dark. I don't know if you're like a game girl. Do you play board games or anything? What is that? No, I've never heard of that. Are you like a game girl though?
1:09:03Like do you and Henry play board games? I will play games. Like we play Rummy Cub when we're like with his family. It's really fun to just play games as like adults. I don't know. It's a good thing to do on like holidays or whatever. But basically what it is, it's after dark. So it's dirty. You have a card, a bunch of cards and you pick a card and it has like 10 things on the card and you can pick any word. So for instance, broken condom could be a word. So everyone has like a doodle packet and it's like a white, you know, dry erase with dry erase marker. And you pick a word and you pass it to the person and they read the word and they try to draw the word.
1:09:36And then they pass it to the next person. And the person who sees the picture has to guess what the word is. And you basically go on and so forth. Oh, that's fun. You sketch, you guess. You sketch, you guess. You sketch, you guess. And by the time you get your packet back, you take everyone through like the iterations of like what the guesses were. me and my friends we could not stop laughing like it was the funniest game it's dirty so play it like on a girl's trip play with your husband and like your husband's friends and girlfriends or whatever like it's so much fun tell us questions after dark yes oh that sounds like fun like we did there were so many things we just could not stop laughing like i was seriously in tears like I do love games like that.
1:10:18Like I love like a card game. Like what do you mean? Or like cards against humanity. Like they're always so, I always laugh so hard playing. So it's so funny. Like simple things, you know, you're off your phone, you're just talking with each other. It was, it was so much fun. And then you randomly get like super competitive. Yes. Yes. So that was, Oh, one other game. Sorry. I'm feel like I'm dialing this. Keep, keep going, but there's this game called chameleon and it's kind of like traders where there's like a list of things. It's like, let's say it's countries, right? And everyone knows what the country is except one person in the group.
1:10:52And so everyone goes one at a time to use a word that describes the word on the card, but one person in the group doesn't know what the word is. So let's just pretend the country is called is Egypt, right? So you want to keep it vague enough so that the chameleon doesn't know what the word is because if the chameleon guesses the word at the end of the game, then they win. So you'll say like, so you don't want to say pyramids right because if you say pyramid that's that's too obvious right so there's like a list of nine countries so you'll say historical and if you see rome or whatever then you know or whatever italy then you know it could also be historical because it's italy whatever every person goes around the room to say the word that's contextually aligned with the word of choice and at the end you have to guess who the chameleon is so then you start fighting with people you're like your word was fucking suspect it's literally traitors it's so fun that sounds really confusing, but I feel like I would have to play it.
1:11:40You know when someone describes the rules of a game and your brain just completely like, it's like the monkeys clapping. I have no idea what you're talking about, but I would have fun playing it, I'm sure. It's really fun. So board games is another one of my life. Board games. We love board games. Okay, well that's all she wrote. We have Patreon episodes every Wednesday, bonus content on patreon.com slash snarkbaitpod. We also do ad-free episodes from the main feed over on Patreon. 1:13:31As a lifelong renter who's probably going to be renting for the rest of my life at this point, it's hard for me to justify splurging on custom furniture or like chic, expensive vintage home finds when I know this isn't my forever home.
