In short

Snarkbait episode covering (1) the Vanderpump Rules reboot’s casting and ratings, (2) Southern Charm season drama (Craig/Charlie/Sally love triangle, Vanita backlash, Shannon & Lames finances), (3) Avery Woods’ influencer rebrand after Emily Kaiser’s son Trigg’s death, and (4) KJ Apa’s Jimmy Stewart biopic trailer and his “transatlantic” accent.

Guest backgrounds

No guests are interviewed in this transcript; it’s Sophie and Christy discussing pop culture.

Key claims

  • Vanderpump Rules reboot fails mainly due to wrong casting and a “Sura isn’t what it used to be” vibe; Bravo executives allegedly unhappy and viewership down ~80% vs prior season.
  • Southern Charm: Craig and Sally aren’t romantically involved; Sally may be into Austin, while Craig and Charlie are into each other.
  • Vanita is blamed for spreading Molly’s labioplasty/sugar-daddy rumor into Sally’s ear, but Molly accepted Vanita’s earnest apology.
  • Avery Woods’ shift to “clean girl” aesthetics and less child exploitation is speculated to be driven by California child-influencer law (Coogan extension) and/or trauma/GLP-1-related physical changes; her slow walking and “millennial gray” renovations fuel memes.
  • KJ Apa’s Jimmy Stewart accent in the trailer is widely mocked as “Tropic Thunder”-level.

Notable examples

  • Venus’ viral “patriarchy” line in the reboot.
  • Craig telling Dorinda Medley Sally is “like a sister.”
  • Memes: “Avery Woods walking slow” / “haunting her own house.”
  • Trailer quote: “I deserve to serve my country just like anyone else does.”

0:00I have literally always been obsessed with Ruggable and rave about Ruggable to whoever listens, which is why I was thrilled and shocked when I found out they were going to sponsor the pod. My kitchen runner, foyer runner, outdoor balcony rug, and living room rug are all ruggable. I'm not exaggerating. Not only do they have the chicest designs for whatever you're looking for, whether your style is boho, modern, classic, the rugs are both stain resistant and machine washable. This is key for me as a New Yorker with a dog. You don't even want to know what kind of city sludge he can drag into the house on any given day.

0:33But with Ruggable, you don't have to worry about professional carpet cleaners or big machines. You can just throw it in the wash and it comes out looking as high quality as the day you got it. It's truly a game changer. Oh, and the non-slip backing that every single one of the rugs has, also key for having a dog with the zoomies. So they're functional for high traffic homes, yes, but they're also fashionable. I truly take pride in my interior design skills, and my guests always compliment my rugs. Thanks, Ruggable. That's O-L-L-Y.com. Hey guys, welcome back to Snarkbait. I'm Sophie. I'm Christy. And it's another DET. You thought you'd seen The Last of Us, huh? Well, let me tell you, we couldn't stay away. We can't shut the fuck up. We told you that last week's DET was our last one of 2025 and we lied.

2:41We sure did, because here we are and we really couldn't get away. There's nowhere I would rather be the day before Christmas Eve. I hope you're all enjoying a quiet day at work for those of you that are working. And I hope you can take the next week and a half through the new year to decompress, take care of yourself, enjoy time with the family, be with your loved ones, go out and have a drink, see a movie. What other self-care things can we do, Sophie? I, for one, speaking of movies, I'm really excited to see Marty Supreme. Timothee Chalamet has been all over the place on this press tour. And it's working.

3:21It's working on me. I mean, I was going to see it anyway because I have seen every movie in his discography. His discography? That's not a word. Let's roll with it. People, you guys know what we mean. Sure. You know what we mean. So I'm excited to see Marty Supreme. But yeah, I hope that everyone is having an amazing week leading up to Christmas and New Year's, wishing everyone a happy holidays. And if you need a last minute gift for someone, what's better than tickets to one of our live shows next year? Yes, if you missed it, we are going on tour to L.A., New York, Chicago in 2026. You can buy tickets and find more details at x1entertainment.com slash snarkbait.

4:03We have so much fun stuff in store. Christy and I were talking about it today. It's going to be so fucking fun. I'm so excited. No, I know. It's going to be like the best. It's really going to be the best night of your life. We got a couple of DMs saying you guys should come to Texas, come to Canada, and trust us. We want to see each and every one of you guys in the cities that we know we are listened to. We decided to choose the cities that have like our largest demographic of listeners, and we didn't want to bite off more than we can chew, right? This is our first tour and we wanted to make sure that it was quality over quantity.

4:38And that's why we're only hitting LA, New York, and Chicago. But that doesn't mean in the future. For now. I mean, we got so many requests for Texas, which I was shocked about. So many Texas listeners, so many Canadian listeners, also a lot of Seattle. Seattle too, I was going to say. And randomly, Australia, New Zealand. also we love you guys across across the world across hemispheres i can't believe we we uh transcend hemispheres and then also tons of uk listeners so eventually international tour okay sorry i'll shut up no 100 no totally co-sign that's so exciting that people in different continents listen to us interestingly enough as you guys all know my sister lives in london her husband is Irish.

5:25And so Audrey, my sister, knows a lot of people in Ireland. Some girl from Ireland when Audrey lived there was a listener of Snarkbait. She's like, I didn't realize that was your sister. So it's weird when you come to find out that people in different countries, besides like Canada, because I feel like Canada and the U.S. are kind of synonymous. But like when you think about people in the U.K., in Ireland, and New Zealand, and Australia, a couple of Asian countries as well. It's crazy. But regardless, we're so excited to see everyone that has already bought tickets. We're so thankful. We're so happy.

5:56I'm telling you, we are going to bring out all the stops. We don't take this lightly. We know that you guys are spending your hard-earned money. You're taking time out of your day. You're calling the sitters. Whatever it is, we know this is an investment not only on your money, your wallet, but also your time. And we don't take that for granted. And we promise we will deliver a fantastic show. Oh, it's going to be so much fun. I'm so excited. I guess let's move on. Let's get into it. Yeah, we're all here for. Let's talk some shit. Christy. What? Also, by the way, we're not on video today because I got some stuff done to my face, just like a laser treatment.

6:35So if you guys are usually YouTube watchers, well, you're not listening on YouTube. You're probably listening on audio, but it's by design. We're not on video this week. Apology. Yeah. Sorry about that. I signed on to Zoom and she was like, you can't see me right now. And I was like, Christy, I can't just talk to myself. Like I need to, even if we don't film it, I need you to be on camera. Otherwise this doesn't work, but it's really not that bad. You're like a little bit red. It's not that bad. I'll take a picture of myself and if If I'm feeling brave, we can post it to the Instagram. But yeah, let's get into our regularly scheduled programming, shall we?

7:15The first thing that I want to talk about is the new Vanderpump Rules reboot. Have you watched? Yes. I don't know why I didn't finish the episode this week. And it wasn't because I wasn't enjoying it. I am enjoying it. Really? I am. Like, I think there's a lot of potential there. I know I'm in the minority. I think, and I've talked about this before. I can't remember if I talked about it on here, on the Patreon, on Trigger Warning Ryan Bailey show. I don't know. But I think where the reboot goes wrong is that, unfortunately, the original worked because there was this traditional sense of we need to make it by being actors or models.

7:57Just simply being on a reality TV show was not enough at that time. It was like 2013. Like being on a reality TV show, social media wasn't like a big thing yet. to these servers being on vanderpump rules is the end game they're like we made it we need to stay on the show no matter what so we are going to play it up we're going to have rehearse lines we are going to overproduce ourselves and then we'll get a bunch of followers and that's the end goal it's like it's just different because they see being on vanderpump as the end goal whereas the original servers obviously didn't does that make sense it absolutely does and i that's the problem with reality television today is that when you take old school reality TV, you cannot reinvent it because we weren't as smart or we didn't realize the impact social media would have on people that were on TV.

8:43Interestingly enough, when we had our Snarkbait retreat back in the summer, we visited Sir. And I saw you repost a TikTok actually where someone in West Hollywood who lives in West Hollywood was like, if you guys aren't familiar with the landscape that is West Hollywood, it's a bumping place. It's a big place for the gays to go out. like it's a very welcoming great environment for the lgbtq community and usually all the bars are popping when you go to sir there's not a single person there and it was in fact no different when we visited sir we were like one of very few patrons and i have to say hierma was so sweet like he brought us shots of so sweet just so hospitable and we ended up going to something about her the following morning to get sandwiches and we had to use the bathroom and we're like we'll just go to Sir.

9:28And of course, hardly anyone there. And we ended up meeting, what's that guy's name? Is it Alan? Shane. We met Shane. He's the one server who actually does not work. He doesn't work at Sir. Yeah. He's kind of like the Tom Schwartz. Right. So we were talking with him and Guillermo and Guillermo kind of filled us in and he goes, you know, when we were tapped to do a reboot of Vanderpump Rules, I'm very much kind of involved in the production and casting because I tell producers, these are the people you should probably cast because they're a drama. They're beautiful. What have you. I can't judge your taste of this and saying like, oh, how could Sophie like this?

10:04Because we all know I have the worst taste in television and I am like not a connoisseur of like good quality TV or movies. But when I was watching episode one, and to be fair, I have not watched past episode one. So maybe I need to give it a bit more of a shot. I was shook. I'm like, I can't even believe that this is on my screen right now. You cannot even compare the two. They are two completely different shows i feel like beyond it being in the restaurant there's nothing similar about them and i was like if i if i saw these people out i would actively avoid them i'd be like oh my god i can't like yeah i just can't with the cast and maybe i just need to give it an episode or two more i'm curious what you guys think but i do believe from like a reviewer perspective people it's not having the best ratings cosmo reported that a production insider claimed that bravo executives are unhappy with the season 12 reboot saying that the new cast is not landing with viewers as expected and it was really meant to be this huge revival of a once like beloved show and i feel like after the high that was scannable you really can't top it and i feel like lisa vanderpump is kind of on her like high horse she's been having these like watch parties and saying you know i didn't know i could create a show that could be as popular as the original cast and i have to say this cast is perfect.

11:20And it's like, what are you talking about? Are we watching the same show? Yeah, I think that the casting here was so important because I feel like in theory, a reboot could work. But I think the casting is so important. And then also like that TikTok said, it's like Sura's not what it used to be. And they're rebooting the show. And they're trying to pretend that Sura is still like a happening, busy, bustling restaurant, but it's not. And also they haven't like renovated any any of the interiors it still looks like it's stuck in 2013 it's very rundown it's kind of sad it's like sad like it just it's it's sad but i do think the cast has potential like there is some like genuine like chaos there honestly i can't remember any of their names except venus i do like venus venus yeah venus has been going viral on twitter because one of this is like a perfect microcosm of the show he had some talking head where he goes the only time I don't dress up is when I'm filing my taxes because the patriarchy doesn't deserve me at my best like the pay the patriarch like do you mean like capitalism the patriarch sure like yeah I guess the patriarchy capitalism intertwined I guess yeah not no but it clearly was like one of those lines that like you know that he was rehearsing and was expecting to like really go viral that everyone was gonna love but instead everyone was making fun of it because it was like so like you're trying too hard like they're all trying too hard again because it's like being on Vanderpump Rules that's that's the end game right I feel like they should have left it at the valley I personally I understand the valley is incredibly dark and there are problems with that show with the cast Jax Taylor but I find it to be a very enjoyable show I hate to say it like the darker the better for me and i feel like when it pertains to vanderpump rules spinoffs leave it at the valley i think we're good on this and i feel like this is probably more of a loss to bravo nbc universal than it's worth like the return on investment because i just don't see the show going past this season i don't but maybe i've proven wrong maybe they'll bring it that's what they're saying and i can't remember exactly where i saw this or read this sorry don't have any sources in front of me it's okay it was my note yeah it was it was christy's notes to be fair um but it apparently the viewership for this season is down 80 80 compared to it 80 ish is what i had heard slash read compared to the previous season of vanderpump roles with the original cast which you could argue like that was right after Scandaball.

14:02Like ratings were high as fuck. And people don't, people cared about the people. They didn't care about the restaurant. They didn't care about Lisa Vanderpump. They cared about that cast. So it's a really, really, really hard task to accomplish and pull off. I don't think it's an impossible task. I feel like you have the name recognition. It's been in the top 10 on Peacock for since it premiered. So I think people are watching it on Peacock. um but yeah it's they obviously have huge shoes to fill i wish that they would have just like sucked it up and brought back the original cast because i think even though there was a moment where it's like okay we need a break from these people we miss them like i would love to see them back i would love to see you know what ariana is up to in her career right now what honestly i'm sorry what sandoval is up to him and his new girlfriend schwartz is in a new relationship Dare I say Lala, which I can't believe I'm even saying those words.

14:57No, take it back. Take it back. Well, you're going to find out. Isn't she going to be on the Valley? Yeah, you're going to find out because she's full time on the Valley, which I'm so fucking mad about. That's so annoying. Yeah, that's really frustrating. The fact that Sheena's not on the Valley reboot and Lala is should be federal crime. I don't know what happened with that. There's something there. There's something. Something happened with Sheena. Like, I've only gotten, I feel like Sheena is so intertwined in, like, the Bravo blogger world. Like, she's friends with so many of the bloggers, so many of the podcasters, that everyone is getting Sheena's version.

15:32And I don't think Sheena's version is the truth. So everything that I've heard is Sheena's version, which is, like, she needed to focus on, like, her family. Give me a break. That entire life revolves around Bravo. Give me a break. What? And what was I going to say? I feel my conspiracy theory, this isn't even a conspiracy theory, the producers have always had like, they have never liked Sheena. I mean, look at her edit season after season. And to some extent, right, she deserves it. She built that edit herself, brick by brick. But she's always gotten kind of a negative edit since the beginning of the show.

16:08And I feel like they've had something against Sheena. And I have no idea what that, why that is. but I do think it has something to do with her wanting to like you said say her side of the story through her book and maybe not wanting to share that on Vanderpump Rules even though we all knew she was going through that during the last season of E-C-R when it aired. Yep totally. Speaking of Bravo should we talk about Southern Charm because Christy and I actually just recorded a Patreon that is going live on our Patreon on I believe December 31st. Yes we're going to say Yes, we're doing a reflection on FY 2025, talking about kind of behind the curtain of the show.

16:50What are our most downloaded episodes? What's the episode that did the best that we were unexpecting? Just like everything, taking a reflection on our year, our favorite parts, our favorite episodes to record, episodes. You know, you guys will listen to it. It'll come out on December 31st. We have an episode tomorrow on Patreon, patreon.com slash snarkbaitpod about parasocial relationships and the science behind that and how parasocial relationships have impacted us. But head on over there if you guys want more bonus content and ad-free episodes from the main feed. But we were talking on the episode about how much we're loving this season of Southern Charm.

17:27It is an iconic season. I feel like it's even taking last season to shame. Last season was fine. It was like the Sienna. It was fine. It was fine. I'm loving. I'm with you. We were talking about how much we're both loving this season. You have the Charlie, Sally, Craig love triangle. And what was your theory or something you'd heard again? oh okay so people are theorizing online obviously the biggest focal point of this season thus far which is honestly so um compelling to me i'm loving the storyline is the love triangle between sally craig and charlie and some people are theorizing online that sally and craig are hamming it up for the cameras they actually are in fact not interested in one another they in fact have never hooked up.

18:14And Craig, as recently as, by the time this episode airs, as last week, he did an interview on SiriusXM with Dorinda Medley and he literally said that Sally reminds him, Sally's like a sister to him. You would never have sex with your sister. So people were kind of like, there it goes, there's our validation that Craig was never in fact into Sally. People think that Sally has a crush on Austin and Austin has a crush on Sally. And the reason Austin is so, and I'm putting this in quotes because I'm team Austin, way over team Craig. Austin is quote unquote, butthurt about Craig, you know, getting to hot tub late night with all these beautiful women.

18:47And he doesn't get that opportunity because he's with a girlfriend who he's pretty serious with. And this love triangle actually never exists. It's actually between Craig and Charlie are into one another and Sally and Austin are into one another. What are your thoughts on that theory? I can see that. And I know that there is some preview that indicates we know obviously that Austin and his girlfriend Audrey have since broken up. I guess there was some indication that Sally and Austin hook up at some point in the future. Honestly, I could have sworn I seen it in the trailer. Sorry. Yeah, I think that does happen.

19:25And honestly, like, good for Sally, because Austin over Craig any day. I mean, you guys know, Craig is an enemy of the pod. we're blocked by craig hashtag blocked by craig hashtag blocked by page lorenz yeah blocked by page lorenz blocked by craig i'm trying to think if there's anyone else that has blocked us i think those are like the two main ones shannon and lane's blocked uh my account but not snarkbait pod i forgot about that i forgot if we're talking about like our personal accounts um i've been blocked by danielle bernstein uh blocked by who else? Oh, I'm blocked by Lindsay Hubbard randomly.

20:04I have no idea why. Oh, that's so weird. Yeah. Oh my God. I love Lindsay. But anywho, I've been a diehard task rabbit stan long before they were a sponsor. I cannot remember the last time I moved without enlisting a tasker, whether it was for assembling furniture, mounting a TV, hanging artwork or shelves. The list goes on. And it's not just during a move where your to-do list can feel like it's 10 pages long. Sometimes I really just need an extra hand for those little things I feel like I never end up getting around to myself, like hanging the collage wall I promised myself I'd do for months.

With the weather lately, I feel like I'm always out and about doing things. Errands, workouts, beach days, you name it. And when summer hits, I am always reminded that I need clothes that can actually keep up with all of that. And that's why I joined Fabletics as a VIP.

These pieces are built to actually last, and I love that for me.

22:17My genuine absolute favorite piece I've gotten is the Anywhere cropped bra tank. It's a perfect workout top that I can throw on for a workout just to record, run errands, go out to lunch. And genuinely, my boobs look really good. They're like, they suck in and like perk up just the way I like it. And I think that Sally is getting a really bad edit. And not that it's entirely an edit. That's not what I'm saying. She's having kind of a sophomore slump. Because I really liked her last season. And then this season, the pick me is coming out, right? Like, she is so obsessed with male validation. And as you can see, we see that Vanita feels slighted by Sally prioritizing her crush on Craig over her friendship with Vanita. And speaking of Vanita, the latest drama is that Vanita, I guess, was gossiping about the fact that Molly got a labioplasty?

23:42yes people are ripping vanita to shreds about this online and listen i definitely think it's fucked up for vanita to unearth that and people i think were less they were upset about her outing it at craig's memorial day weekend party pool party but they were actually more upset at vanita for purposefully putting this labioplasty rumor and the sugar daddy paid for the labioplasty into sally's ear um knowing that sally would go and talk about this people were like vanita like you owned it at the pool party. You're like, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that. I apologize. But it's like, no, no, no.

24:15You knew what you were doing when you told Sally two weeks ago on camera that Molly's sugar daddy paid for her vagina surgery. Like, give me a break. The hate on Vanita is getting a little, it's feeling a little, you know. Suspect, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I agree. And also Vanita came out with a very, very, very earnest, genuine apology that Molly seems to have accepted. Yeah, then we stopped. We stopped the hate. Yeah, full stop. Molly reposted her apology and said that Vanita has in fact apologized multiple times since this happened and also sent her a bouquet of flowers. And they're good. So that's all that matters.

24:52Vanita, I have always been like team Vanita. I've always been like such a Vanita stan. I feel like she has been so mistreated by not only the cast, but the audience, the Southern term audience. And it's no wonder why. It's no wonder why. Yeah, come on. Yeah. Agreed. And also, I mean, the Southern Charm audience, obviously, you know, when the whole Paige and Craig breakup happened and then it seemed like they still to this day make so many excuses for Craig. Always. Always. He always gets the benefit of the doubt. Always. Always. So it's like I think that a large portion of the Southern Charm audience is extremely misogynist, also extremely racist.

25:37And I mean, it's it's a show at the South. so yeah that tracks look at season one through six with thomas ravenel impregnating katherine dennis when she was 21 crazy whatever early 20s i'm sorry if i get the age wrong but yeah i think i really respect vanita for continuing to like show up because if i were in her position i do not know if i could continue doing another season it's very clear how the men overlook her how she's never like a focal point on the show she's never the star it's i think back to the bachelor franchise when um black women would be leads for instance and they would rachel lindsey was lead her following i remember at the height of bachelor nation was still lower than her um her peers when they were both uh contending for nick vile's heart you know one season ago like it's not a surprise that black women on social media perpetually don't get enough followers and i feel like if you put a like a microscope on Vanita's experience on Southern Charm, it's very clear to me that people just overlook her, mainly the men, and they don't even see her.

26:42And it just feels uncomfortable to watch. Yeah. And sad. I feel sad and empathetic. I loved her FaceTime with Austin. I was like, good, more of this. No, me too. I really liked that too. That was my first time ever seeing them interact. No, me too. But I loved it. No, I had the same exact thought, Sophie. And yeah, we need to see more of that. But yeah, it's such a sweetheart. And also, if you ever DM her nice things, which I have throughout the years, because again, I hate seeing her mistreated. She always responds to DMs. Stop. That's so nice. OK, no, I such a sweetheart. I just I think that she is genuinely such a nice person.

27:21And she has like beautiful, delicate features like she just has such delicate like facial. She's stunning. So pretty. She's she's stunning. She's a fashionista. like she has everything it takes to be a breakout star on Bravo. And I want that for her. And I think that the dynamics at play are also. Let me think about how to phrase this. Like. While you're thinking. I was I was just going to say that I feel like I want her to. And I feel like I said this when we talked about Southern Charm maybe a couple weeks ago. I want her to be able to make good with like Craig, for instance, because unfortunately, Craig is the lead of the show.

28:06Correct. He's one of the stars. The show revolves around Craig Austin Shep, whether we like it or not. And so I want her to be able to like get over that. Not saying that like Craig isn't in the wrong because he obviously is. He always is. but I want her to be able to like realize that like you know this is worth it because you need to be good with Craig to be on the show unfortunately yeah it's it's kind of a game at the end of the day and it's like I want Vanita to get her check and I want her to continue earning a lot of money from the show and part of that is kind of playing ball with these cast members and yeah like just being a little bit on his good graces and some people were saying you know Vanita and Craig's beef is predicated on Vanita publicly standing up for Paige.

28:52And people were saying, like, why is she dying on this hill? Like, Paige has never even acknowledged Vanita publicly, at least to my knowledge. What do you say to that? I feel like Paige and Vanita are friends. Like, they're friendly. Like, I think that Paige and Vanita definitely have a friendship and a relationship. So I don't agree with that, that Paige has never acknowledged Vanita. Like, they've interacted, in my mind. I can't think of a specific example, but they've definitely been been friends. They're almost like co-workers, not in like, you know, but like in like the fashion space. Yeah, I was gonna say, I definitely feel like they've like been together like fashion week and like been sitting next to each other at a fashion show.

29:27Like I just I can picture it. So yeah. And like, of course, Vanita stood up for Paige. That's her friend. At the same time, it's like you're on a show with Craig and that's going to cause issues. And I yeah, it's it's hard because I would understand why she would want to get away from the show and get away from this cast because the audience has mistreated her. Like we said, the cast has mistreated her. But at the same time, like she deserves to be a Bravo superstar. And I want that for her. I know, me too. Especially on that show. It demands representation and I'm glad they have her. But sometimes it feels like they're trying to just like check a box and I don't like that.

30:03I want to see more of her. Yeah, totally. I love her dog. What's her dog's name? Charles. Oh my gosh. Her dog. So cute. I think Charles is a shih tzu. See, like I could just watch Vanita and Charles. Cheryl's like hanging out in her like walk-in closet or wherever she always is with him. Like that's such a cozy home. Yeah. I love her. Speaking of Southern Charm, Charleston, Shannon and Lames. I need to talk about it, you guys. It's paining me. So Shannon and Lames just purchased a$1.1 million home in Charleston. And their finances, and I apologize. If you guys can hear Miss Mo crying, it's— I can't hear.

30:40Okay, cool. I'm sharing a home for the next couple of weeks with my sister. But anyways, Shannon and Lames purchased a$1.1 million home in Charleston. And it must be said, their finances continue to be incredibly confounding to me. Like, I get it. I know that Lames is—people on Reddit have done their research. I know that Lames' father is a partner at a big four public accounting firm. I was once at a big four public accounting firm. I have friends that are partners. I know how much these people make. It's not—I mean, it's a shit ton of money, okay? It's a lot of money. That being said, he also has several siblings.

31:09So I feel like just because your father is a partner, to my knowledge, based on the review of his family, I don't think his mom works. I have to, and Shannon is very honest about her humble beginnings. Like she said that she grew up poor, she doesn't come from wealth, whatever. Unless they are literally any influencer brand that they get or partnership, they are putting it into now two mortgages. Their finances continue to be incredibly concerning to me. And I feel like every dollar that they get is now being pushed into both mortgages. And maybe Lames comes from generational wealth. Who might I say?

31:43If he does, good for him. But if he doesn't, I'm concerned. Like, I feel like they just live for, like, Instagram and to have, like, he wants a beach condo in the U.S. I don't even know if I'm doing it. Does she? No, that was good. Does she? It was like a little Australian maybe. Yeah. Cameron Diaz washes her face with Evian water every day. Every night. If you guys don't know, the fabulous life of. That's that's Christie's impression of the fabulous life of host TBT. But OK, so I don't follow Shannon and Lames that closely. Shannon does like a lot of brand deals, right? Like, I feel like that like she she makes a lot of money from influencing and her podcast, right?

32:26One million percent. But to have two mortgages and we all know he pretends like he makes six figures a month. Give me a break. It's an insult to my intelligence. James Middleton makes six figures every month. Like, shut up. Okay? Like, I don't believe it. And I feel like there's far more influencers. I'm not saying Shannon is not successful. She's incredibly successful. I'm jealous of her success. I have no doubt she's making a shit ton of money. But what I'm saying is, I feel like every dollar she earns is not getting put into savings whatsoever. She's just paying down so many mortgages, so many renovations.

33:00Like designer. She always has, like, designer shit. Yes. I think she had to sell a bunch of stuff just to like help pay for the mortgage for her first home in Franklin, Tennessee. It stresses me out. And people on Reddit are so funny. They were like, you know, she posted a picture of her and Lame's and the home as the backdrop on the Instagram. And people Reddit did their thing. They found the listing on Zillow. They found out that it was$1.1 million. And they're like, okay, I can't believe she would be so stupid to post her home. Like this is a safety concern. That's so stupid. People can rob her when she's not home, whatever.

33:34But I think the funniest part is people are now speculating why would she move to Charleston? Is she trying to be on Southern Charm? She has good friends with Charlie. She's had her stint in reality TV with Very Cavallari. And I know this is a hot take and please, the Shannon and Lames haters don't come for me. I want to see them on Southern Charm so badly. I would fucking love it. I mean, I wouldn't hate it. I wouldn't necessarily hate it. I think they would be fabulous on it. And I think everyone can see lames for the grifter that he is. Like, I'm just more excited to see lames on reality TV.

34:04And to be clear, this is not his first stint on reality TV. He's been on like one or two reality TV shows in the past. He loves to date influencers. Like, this is his MO, is to kind of cuddle up with these reality TV influencer-adjacent type women. And, you know, I feel like he's living his American dream. Married to an American influencer, potentially be on one of the biggest shows on Bravo. Yeah, the Bravo audience would hate him. I already know that. Yeah. Speaking of influencers, I really quickly want to talk about Avery Woods. Please. I'm so glad you're bringing this up because this is like kind of niche, I feel.

34:38Okay, so yeah. It is kind of niche. So Avery Woods is a TikToker, influencer, mommy blogger who basically like she has a podcast with the Unwell Network called Cheers. And she's known as being rowdy. A scandal of hers that we talked about a couple months ago was a couple months ago. I think it was like last year or like way earlier this year where her and Harry Jowsey were joking about her, how her haters on social media always have like a Bible verse in their bio. And she's like, I hope we get like, like, I don't even want to say it. Like, yeah, like sodomized, sodomized, sexually assaulted by Jesus.

35:21It was like graphic and gross. Yeah, it was gross. people were very offended by it, obviously. And she did some backtracking. And I want to say it was in like February, like it was a while ago. And so she's always known as being very like, you know, foul mouth, rowdy, crazy, like she's never been like the clean girl aesthetic, you know? I really hardly knew who she was. I know that we had covered her back in the day, but like, Like, I really hardly knew who she was before the Emily Kaiser tragedy. First of all, sorry to interrupt, but I had no idea that Avery Woods' BFF of Emily Kaiser was that same girl who did this, like, the sodomy thing.

36:02Yes. That's, like, I can't reconcile that, but continue. Because Emily Kaiser was always, like, the definition of clean girl, kind of soft-spoken, sweet. She also did, like, funny dances and would, like, have fun with Avery, it seems like. I retroactively watched a lot of their content that they did together. But like, it seemed like they were kind of yin and yang in a way. So she and Emily were best friends. And after the Emily Kaiser tragedy, and by that, we mean when Emily Kaiser's son tragically drowned in their backyard pool, Avery went dark for a few weeks and reemerged wearing a Trigg necklace, which people thought was really sweet.

36:47Trigg was the name of Emily Kaiser's son. And people thought that was sweet. And then the video got deleted. And she took it down. And Emily and Avery have not seemed to interact at all since the tragedy happened. And that's not even what I want to talk about. I want to talk about Avery's rebrand. So people were saying that she now all of a sudden is doing this like clean girl aesthetic thing because she was kind of trying to become Emily while Emily was offline mourning her son, which is very dark and scary to think about. And I'm not saying that someone can't change after something traumatic like that happens because Avery and Emily were extremely close.

37:33So by proxy, Avery was extremely close to Trinkheiser. So it's totally in the realm of possibility that that fundamentally changed her as a person. But she went from being a totally different person to she was one type of influencer and now she's like completely different. And one example is that she used to exploit her kids a lot on social media. Now she doesn't, which is great. Like I think that's obviously objectively a great thing. So people are like, yeah, it's probably because of how parasocial everyone got with, you know, Emily after Trigg's tragic passing. She saw that firsthand. But a lot of people have speculated that actually it's because she moved to California and she would exploit her children to a disturbing degree.

38:25Like Amanda Stanton style? This is, well, this is how she built her following. She built her following from posting like very inappropriate photos and videos of her young daughter, like to a disturbing degree where people would be like, you need to take this down. So that's how she built her following. But now she lives in California, and California law actually now requires parents to set aside a portion of their earnings for monetized content featuring their children in a trust fund. It's extending the Coogan Law to child influencers. The Coogan Law was what protected child actors from their parents taking their money from them and to prevent exploitation.

39:06So that's a reason that people think she's actually not posting her kids anymore. Either way, obviously, net positive that she's not posting them or exploiting them. She's also completely transformed physically because of what people assume is a GLP one. It just looks like a different person. Her vibes are not good. She also did terrible renovations to her California house that she moved into. Did you see some of these, Christy? No, and think of Avery Woods. I meant to put these pictures on the doc, so I'm going to find them really fast. Sorry. But the thing with Avery Woods is I know that she's like a very talked about person.

39:45I know nothing about her other than what we've already mentioned, that she was a friend of Emily Kaiser's that she signed to the Unwell Network. I see her being discussed all the time on all these influencer snark pages, but I myself am unfamiliar with her work or her discography. I'm going to show you, and I know we're not on video, so I will post these on the at snarkbaitpod Instagram. I'm going to show you her kitchen before, Christy. Yep. Okay. It's gorgeous, honestly. Yes, like the tile could use some work, but like, yeah. Darkwood. Yeah, backsplash. No, actually, the backsplash is stunning.

40:19I think that some of it could use some work, but I think it's overall stunning. It has darkwood, an island with a sink, gorgeous backsplash, just really beautiful. This is it now. Millennial Gray. Oh, my God. She ruined it. I hate when people do that. You ruined it. Completely millennial gray. She has done so many terrible renovations to her house. So that's another thing that people are snarking on her about. But the funniest thing that I think is the Avery Woods discourse right now is she does these, like, get ready with me day in my life where she, like, wakes up. And, you know, when the influencers, the mommy influencers do the.

40:58Oh. Of course. Waking up and they're like. and they're like scratching their eyes and shivering and it's like so like bright and early it's like yeah morning guys so she does that but like the way that she walks so slow through her house has become like a meme where if you search on tiktok avery woods walking slow you'll see people doing impressions of her and it's like really scary how slow she walks and and the comments like i've seen so many videos of this and the comments are she's haunting her own damn house. Like, she's haunting her own house. It's so funny. Her vibes now are just so, like, dark.

41:34And again, I understand why she may have changed as a person, but I think it's beyond that. Like, there's something like, it's like the GLP one. It's the walking slow. It's the really bad renovations. It's like, what's going on with Avery Woods? Yeah, it's always such a shame to see people take a home of character and just make it so millennial gray and white when i was watching real housewives of beverly hills rachel zoe her house is so ugly and you could tell it was probably like a beautiful yeah like beverly hills yeah iconic a lot of character home it's literally all white and you could already tell within like probably like that was probably a renovated five years ago it's already out of style it's already like a cringe look and that's If you guys are not following us on Instagram, which, why aren't you, at Snarkbait Pod, where Sophie's going to post the pictures, it's washed out.

42:28It's white. And I'm curious what that would do to someone's brain. I mean, obviously, Trigg was Emily's son, not Avery's, but seeing as how they were so close and something insanely tragic, like probably the most tragic thing one could ever experience happens to her best friend. What that does to your brain. And sorry, Avery Woods, does she have kids or no? She has two kids. She has two kids. Yeah, I remember how I was just saying that she became, she got a following from exploiting her kids. Right, a lot. So I feel like maybe something chemically shifted. I know, but it's also weird because Avery and Emily have not interacted on social media, at least.

43:07It does not seem like they're friends anymore. So that's the other factor. So it's like, what is going on there? I don't know. It's all very interesting. With one another, like, is Emily and you maybe being on the outs a symptom of you now being weird? I don't know. Well, people were like, maybe Emily finds it creepy that Avery is trying to be her or was trying to be her when she was offline. Emily is now back online. But it was like dyeing her hair. She kept changing her hair to look like Emily's. People were speculating that it was like a little bit creepy. be. But I mean, I don't know, guys.

43:47I just had to rant about that really fast because her walking slow has been all over my For You page. And I think the memes about it are so funny. I'm dying at this. She's haunting her own home. She's haunting her own home. That's such a funny way to put it. Yeah. Let us know what you guys think about Avery Woods. I'm curious. Chrissy, I need to gauge your thoughts on KJ Apa. Oh, my God. I'm so glad you brought this up. This trailer came across my desk this morning. You watch it? Of course. Thank God, thank God, thank God. I was so confused because I was reading the comments on the Instagram post.

44:23You guys were talking about the new Jimmy Stewart biopic called Jimmy. That's starring KJ Apa as Jimmy Stewart. And to be clear, my last, my only body of work that I've seen KJ Apa in is the map that leads to you with my girl Madeline Klein. You never watched Riverdale? No. Oh. Knowing me, I'd probably love it. you would you know but what was i gonna say my i don't have any like preconceived notion about his acting i know nothing about kj appa other than what the map that leads to which was like a very cheesy movie but i loved it you know naturally i was i was like oh interesting like maybe this is his whole thing at like taking on like a more serious role and when i was listening to the accent i was like what the fuck is this and everyone on the comments was like KJ's nailed it.

45:09Like this is such an accurate representation. No. And I was like, what are you trolling? So for context, you guys, I'm not like super familiar. I'm not like a cinephile. So like don't yell at me for not being super familiar with Jimmy Stewart's body of work. He was in It's a Wonderful Life, like a lot of old timey movies. And in this trailer, so he had like a transatlantic accent like a lot of people did back in the day. And hold on. I just need to. It sounds almost like. What's the best? So he goes, I just have to listen to it again really fast. I deserve to serve my country just like anyone else does.

45:53So that's what he says. And then it shows it cuts to Rob Riggle. And Rob Riggle, if you guys aren't familiar, is like an amazing comedic actor. He's in like 21 Jump Street. He's so funny. It cuts to Rob Riggle going, America can't afford to lose Jimmy Stewart. And it literally, like, everyone's like, this is like a Tropic Thunder, like, fake movie. Do you think that this is KJ Apa's attempt to do, like, a Bob Dylan a la Timothee Chalamet? I think that this, he thinks he's going to win an Oscar for this. No, no, no. Like, I almost feel bad. I almost feel badly for him. It's the funny. I watched this clip a thousand times.

46:36It's the funniest thing. It like zooms in on Rob Riggle. Like, it's so funny. No, I feel badly for him. Like, he's taking it so serious. You know, he's been method acting for like the past year. It's like Austin Butler doing Elvis. No, he's going to do all of his press with this fuck-ass transatlantic accent. The transatlantic accent is so funny to me. Like, why was that a thing and where did it go? I don't understand it. Sorry, I just rewatched that clip that you put in our document. And I listened to it this morning, but it's like worse. I deserve to serve my country just like everyone else does.

47:10No, the thing is, Sophie's not exaggerating. I'm laughing because that's exactly, you did KJ Apa or Jimmy Stewart better than KJ Apa did. We're obviously going to post this clip on at StarCreamHot so you guys can see what we're talking about. It's so funny. it's literally Tropic Thunder fake movie like remember like the Simple Jack like it's like a fake movie in a movie no it's like I never watched 30 Rock but everyone was saying it seems like a cutaway that they would do in 30 Rock and everyone yells at me when I say I've never watched 30 Rock I know I would love it but yeah I just you just know that like when he was tapped to do this role he like he took himself super seriously when this trailer dropped he knew he was like so excited he's like i'm finally gonna be taken as a serious actor and now everyone's like laughing it's you guys know it's bad it doesn't help that rob wriggle is in it like right like rob wriggle is like i've never seen him in anything serious how do you expect me to take it seriously wasn't he the gym coach in 21 jump street yes he's so funny like he's consistently funny in everything he's But yeah, Jimmy Stewart did have this like cartoon character accent, but like it worked because he was Jimmy Stewart.

48:27And now it like it just like doesn't work when anyone else does it. No. So he probably is doing a good job. It just like it's not it just it'd be hard for anyone to do a good job doing Jimmy Stewart's voice. I'm sorry. I just feel value for KJ because, you know, like he thought he ate this entire thing. He thought he ate. Wait, so do you overall you like him? Oh, I think he's so cute. He is cute. He's a cutie. But did you know he's also like, he's not American. I forgot what he was. He's Australian. Or New Zealand. Wait, wait. Hold on. Let me check. He's either from Australia or New Zealand. Oh, he's from New Zealand.

48:59Okay. He's Kiwi. Yes. I've always thought he was very attractive. Interestingly enough, I heard on Jumois, which take this with a grain of salt, I know that Michelle Randolph, who, the only reason I know who Michelle Randolph is is because she's Cassie Randolph of Fulton Underwood's season of The Bachelor. She's now dating Glenn Powell. Like, I'm putting dating in quotes. but Dumois said that she was actually hanging out with KJ Apa this summer. Whoa, good for her. Yeah, and I remember when Cassie was on Colton season, Michelle was dating Greg Sulkin. Big question mark with Greg Sulkin. Wait, who's Greg Sulkin again?

49:40Exactly. I mean, it's not important. Not that I'm not saying his life is not important. Like he is an actor is not important. You wouldn't know his body. Yeah, yeah. You did post this the other day. But like, he was in Pretty Little Liars, and I'm pretty sure he was like Ezra's brother. Yes. That's how I know Greg Sulkin's body of work. But when I went on Greg Sulkin's— She's leveling up. Yes. When I went on Greg Sulkin's Instagram, I was like, how the hell does this guy have 6.2 million followers? Confounding. Because I feel like you and I are pretty well versed in celebrity public. No. How does this man have—they must be bots.

50:11No, but it's probably one of those things like there are so many celebrities that are like, they're A-list celebrities to 22-year-olds. but I never heard of them yeah like Greg Sulkin he could be he looks his face it almost like he could be 40 or he could be 20 and like it's very weird anyone I he could be anyone off the street no I know like he's I don't like that look I'm not he's handsome objectively I don't like that look for me okay yeah not not for me either um have you heard of this like I love LA and heated rivalry drama. Okay, I'm going to say something that's kind of racial. Yeah. Rachel Sennott kind of bothers me.

50:51Rachel Sennott. Sennott. I think it's Sennott. So my problem with Rachel Sennott, I feel like we talked about this on the retreat. We were playing a drinking game, and we were like, who is a celebrity who's hype you don't understand? And I think we all said Rachel Sennott. My personal problem with Rachel Sennott is that she has like, and it's not entirely on her, and I think this is like kind of maybe a controversial thing to say, is that she's played a lot of Jewish characters, but she's not Jewish. And it almost feels like, I don't know, there's something like a little bit icky about it that she is like Shiva Baby, for instance.

51:27There are like other roles that she has outwardly played a Jewish person. I think it's because she admits that she looks Jewish, but there's something about it that's always kind of like bothered me. And maybe I'm being like, I'm overreacting. No, I don't think it's overreacting. I think it's just like one of those things that's kind of just like always given me the ick about her is that she has profited off of playing Jewish characters so much in her career. But I have no interest in watching I Love L.A. personally because of that. And then also, I don't know, it's very like it's a show that I would love in theory.

52:05It's like girls, insecure. Like, I love shows like that. I just, I can't get behind Rachel's on it and Jordan Firstman. So Jordan Firstman has, like, a history of putting his foot in his mouth. He has said some problematic things in the past where he, like, made jokes about slavery. And let me just fact check myself. I know him from Instagram. I don't know his body of work. um yeah something about rachel sanat i don't yeah it's because i only know her from the idol and maybe that's my only you know what i know her from i just didn't like her character i didn't like that show yeah oh i didn't watch that show you're better off i wasted fucking eight hours of my life like so stupid um so oh you didn't like it i mean shocking i know that was one with Lily rose up in the weekend.

53:07It sure was. It was like, I think they thought they were doing something, but it like did the opposite. It was weird and dark and I didn't like it. I never watched it because it got such bad reviews. You see the Willie's even talking about it, which is why I'm kind of pausing. Like it was so dark and yeah, I just can't. So Jordan Firstman has, yeah, so like the Rachel Senator of it all is one thing. And I do love the fact that she became a successful comedian from like making jokes online you know like she started out as like a twitter personality like that's amazing that she has like been this successful like I honestly like I'm all for it I think that just like she as a person bothers me um so Jordan Firstman I used to really like because he um he was kind of like the original Jake Shane he would like do an impression of i don't know i'm thinking of like a uh diet coke finding out that yeah yeah yeah coke zero got invented like that's something that jake shane has done and

54:22sorry one sec again i'm just like fact checking myself um okay so yeah so he i was just fact checking myself around his like uh bad jokes that he has made in the past. He had gotten canceled a couple years ago. But before that, I thought that he was really funny because he was like that original Jake Shane doing these skits on social media. So I liked him. Then I found out that he had like said some not great things, foot in his mouth. And then again, and I know that this like beef is kind of like a week old at this point, but I just want to bring it up. I'm not watching either of these shows again because I can't get behind the, I love LA of it all.

55:05I'm not watching it. I'm sorry. Maybe one day, but like not right now. I'm not in the mood. I can't. Our cup is runneth over. I don't have the time, energy, or capacity. He did Rivalry is the show that everyone is talking about, which I also have not watched, but I want to. Have you heard of the show? Of course. It's making the airways online, and I have no desire. I'm personally so excited for Tell Me Lies, which we can get into at a later date. Oh my God, I'm so excited. Cannot wait. But yeah, He did Rivalry, rivalry. It is a name on everyone's lips right now. Yeah. So it is a Canadian show that is now on HBO Max, and it's about male hockey players that hook up and fall in love.

55:43And Jordan Firstman had made just kind of like unprompted comments, honestly, about how the sex scenes in Heated Rivalry were not realistic. And everyone was like, who are you to say what's not realistic? Like, just because you have sex one way doesn't mean that these people don't have sex in a different way and these are supposed to be people that are dl like having sex like you know not as out gay men like how do you know how everyone has sex as a gay man yeah i'm sorry i didn't realize that you were the um judge and jury of the intricacies of someone's sex life you were the gay sex scenes police so so the creator of heated rivalry actually commented on his comments and he was like you think that we're gonna show like the douching and the doing enemas like no we can skip over those parts like come on sorry like it was just so obnoxious and he kind of like walked it back a little bit like he was like you know what i'm i'm gonna say things that are offensive he didn't really like fully apologize he just kind of like walked it back a little bit and he got a ton of backlash like people are shitting on him like the gay sex scenes please

57:02it's like that's Jordan Firstman that's one of like the funniest things you've ever said that's so fucking funny I just wanted to rehash I know I'm like reheating last week's nachos okay as the kids would say I know that this is like a week old I don't want to see the comments I'm rehashing this because what just happened is that HBO is trotting out the stars of heated rivalry with Jordan Firstman and Rachel Sennett being like, look, it's all good because both shows are airing on HBO. Right. And Jordan and I Love LA were getting so much backlash over this. I have seen so many people be like, I am never going to watch the show now or I am watching the show, but I'm going to stop watching the show because of these comments.

57:45So I think that HBO is like doing damage control and made them like kiss and make up because it was like such bad PR for I Love LA. and I know that like besides my personal issues with I love LA and not wanting to watch it I think in general and maybe this is like my own bias I think in general it's not it's not making as much noise as you would expect this type of show to make does that I love LA right yeah like I feel like heated rivalry making a ton of noise and also I feel like that was like a sleeper hit like it was from what was the Canadian channel like or something if it's the same one that produced Degrassi I'm sad it's like something like Canadian sounding it's like crave TV you know yeah yeah yeah I think in like England it's like yeah yeah yeah yeah so um that was a sleeper hit I Love LA has been teed up to be this massive hit and just like I feel like kind of isn't like it's not getting that much buzzer attention and again maybe that's my own bias because I'm not watching it but from what i've seen i don't feel that much fomo because not that many people are talking about it at least on my feeds a lot of people personal friends of mine have pinged me and were like i think you would really like this show and i'm like i can't with the with the main girl i'm sorry just please exclude me from this narrative i don't want to be a part of it because i don't like her um i would watch for odessa azayan i mean odessa so stunning she is uh co-starring in speaking of marty supreme with timothy chalamet so she has been all over those premieres.

59:16She is so stunning. Drew Starkey's alleged girlfriend. And so you would think that we would hate her, but no, I love her. I think that she is so stunning. She's been getting like a lot of, there's been a lot of discourse about her on Twitter this week, and it's very disturbing to me. I don't want to get too much into it. Have you seen any of this, Christy? No, no. Oh my God, you're scaring me. No, people are just accusing her of doing brown face and questioning her ethnicity. And I think people just get confused when like Jewish women exist. Because a lot of Jewish women are ethnically ambiguous, like Mikey Madison, for example.

1:00:02And people are always like, wait, Mikey Madison isn't Owasian? Like that's always like discourse about Mikey Madison. And I think with Odessa Zion, she, yeah, she has a spray tan And she dyed her hair a little bit darker, but I don't think that that's her cosplaying a different race. I think that she is just naturally an ethnically ambiguous woman and is Jewish looking. People don't know how to, like, talk about Jewish women on the Internet, and it makes me uncomfortable. Yeah, I don't want to make this. Especially in this climate. Yeah, but I'm like, I feel like, yeah, people that I know that live in Israel are very, like, you know, more olive-y skin, dark hair, blue eyes.

1:00:41It could be a lot of things. I don't know. Yeah, like just, and she's not even Israeli. And I feel like there is so much like just very uncomfortable discourse happening about her. Moral of the story is, I think that she is beautiful, stunning, talented. I can't wait to see her in Marty Supreme. And people need to chill out about deciding how Jewish women are supposed to look. And that's my spiel. Sorry. No. Thank you for educating us on that. It's just been like a very disturbing week. And we are recording on December 19th. It is still Hanukkah. So just want to shout out our Jewish baby snarks.

1:01:24Happy Hanukkah. We love you. And delete Twitter. I think it's time I delete mine. I think it's finally time. I was like, it brings us joy for small clips of Jimmy Stewart. Jimmy Stewart. Yeah. You know, if it can, that brought me so much loss. Like, that was the hardest I've laughed about. Well, now I'm not. Now I'm talking about Jimmy Stewart and I'm talking about that. The police. The gay sexy. I deserve to serve my country just like anyone else. Cameron Diaz washes her face with Evian water every night. These are our new vocal stems. Like, I'm going to be saying that. Henry always jokes as soon as I find, as soon as I find like a saying that I like to say.

1:02:09Oh, I don't stop. I don't stop. It becomes like something where he like, it's like he pulls a string. He's like, you're like a doll with a string on her back. Yes. No, I'm the same way. I'll say things from 15 years ago to my sister. Like, you know what I mean? And it's the most random thing. Have you seen that TikTok sound that's like, my collar's blue and my neck is red. I've been working like a dog just to keep my family fed. And it'll be like a work from home person in bed being like blue collar workers will never understand what it's like to have to move my mouse. I'm thinking of the classic morning.

1:02:50Morning. Zoom link isn't working. Zoom link isn't working. Morning. We've got bigger problems. I'm still in bed. You guys, these are all inside jokes. Like we need to have a whole. There are inside jokes, but also inside jokes with the baby snarks. And I'm just saying, like, that is an example of something that I will say endlessly. And Henry's like, okay, that's enough. I'm like, my collar's blue and my neck is red. And he's like, okay, we get it. Where did not a problem come from? Because we always say that to each other. Where did it come from? Chrissy, it was, let me walk you down memory lane.

1:03:28Yeah. It was when we were, you're going to remember as soon as I bring it up. Yeah. On our way to the L.A. retreat, we were planning on recording our America's Next Top Model when we were in L.A. And I was leading that. And so I had a lot, a lot of research and studying to do. And I was like, Christy was like, just a reminder, we are recording the America's Next Top Model episode. I go, it's not a problem whatsoever. I'm going to study up on the plane. Don't worry about it. Don't, don't. Five hour flight could knock it out. Five hour flight. you know knock it out easy not a problem and then as soon as we landed i was like love is blind uk was fucking crazy am i right oh my god we had to run christy was like jesus christ christy was like jesus christ um so that's where that came from so then every time we like text each other about like logistical stuff it's like oh can we move this not a problem and now we've just n-a-p n-a-p it's just our our lingo um not a problem whatsoever it's not a problem at all no it's a five-hour flight will be real quick.

1:04:32Yep. I can knock it out real easy. This is like such a fucking unhinged conversation. No, and like our haters are going to be so mad because they hate when like we do the voices. I'm sorry. Like I genuinely can't help it. It's like they hate when we sing. They hate when we do the voices. They hate when we think we're funny. In this episode, it's all three of those and more. It's finally summer, which means all of us, hopefully most of us, are going to be spending a lot more time outside touching grass. And when was the last time you upgraded your outdoor furniture situation? Wayfair is your one-stop shop for outdoor seating, grills, appliances, patio lighting, storage, rugs, decor, you name it.

1:05:09Everything you need to make your outdoor area the best seat in the house. We only have an itty-bitty balcony in New York City, but thanks to Wayfair, we made the most of our tiny space with a perfect little bistro set and twinkle lights. I'm so excited it's finally warm enough to use it again. My favorite thing to do during the warm weather months is have coffee and breakfast out there with Baxter on sunny mornings. It's my favorite start to the day and it wouldn't be possible without my Wayfair furniture. I also really appreciate that Wayfair has installation and assembly services because outdoor furniture can be heavy and intimidating to assemble.

1:05:39It makes the experience truly seamless and stress-free. But my favorite part about Wayfair, you don't have to take out a freaking loan or remortgage your house just to make your space as gorgeous as possible. Especially if you, like me, are not in your forever home yet and you don't want to splurge on major investment pieces. I love how affordable everything at Wayfair is. Patio season is here and these deals won't last. Head to Wayfair.com right now to get your outdoor space ready for way less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R.com. Wayfair, every style, every home. I unfortunately have had very bad shaving experiences from red bumps and ingrown hairs to cuts and razor burn.

1:06:19But just because I'm a hairy Jewish girl does not mean I have to settle for a horrible shaving experience. And as soon as I discovered Flamingo, I realized I don't have to suffer any longer. Seriously, I've been a fan of Flamingo since before they became a podcast sponsor. With Flamingo, my leg shaving experience is smooth, gentle, and luxurious, not bumpy, rough, and painful. Also, the shave is so close. I used to immediately feel stubble after getting out of the shower. Literally, I'm not exaggerating. It was immediate. And now, just silky smoothness. Flamingo razors feel like they're working with my body and the contours of my legs instead of against them.

1:06:54and it makes all the difference. Finally, shaving is a ritual I enjoy rather than dread. The best part about Flamingo? These razors are made for women by women. These aren't men's razors made pink. They're specifically designed for girlies like us to be able to easily grip and use. Their starter set has everything you could possibly need. Flamingo's original razor, a facial dermaplane razor, my personal favorite, foaming shave gel, and a shower holder. All for just$7 if you're a baby snark. Yes, you heard that right. And shipping is free. This is not a drill. For a limited time, our listeners can get the Flamingo's starter set for only$7 at shopflamingo.com slash snark.

1:07:30The set includes the Flamingo Original Razor, one five-blade cartridge, a one-ounce foaming shave gel, and a shower holder. Just head to shopflamingo.com slash snark to claim this offer. And after you purchase, they'll ask where you heard about them. Please support our show and tell them we sent you. If there's one refresh worth making this summer, it's your bedding. Trust me. Summer nights always leave me wanting bedding that feels lighter, more breathable, etc, etc. And Quince has been my go-to for so long now. They focus on high-quality materials like European linen and bamboo without the luxury markup.

1:08:00My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy and even has a cooling effect, which is obviously perfect for those hot summer nights. I also love the look of it. It's matte, smooth, and just has this classic look that instantly elevates our bedroom. And I love knowing that we're sleeping on 100 % cotton and not some cheap polyester blend. Ugh. You can literally feel the difference. I also love their Mulberry Silk pillowcases and eye masks. They help keep your hair smooth and skin hydrated overnight because they don't absorb your natural oils like other materials do.

1:08:35This bedding is made for literal beauty sleep, you guys. Quince has everything you need to upgrade your bedding for summer. Lightweight sheets, airy linen shams, seasonal colors and timeless patterns like stripes and soft neutrals. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 % less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middleman. So you're paying for quality, not a name brand markup. Elevate your summer bedding. Go to Quince.com slash snarkbait for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada too.

That's why you rack. Okay, so moving on to our dark energy objects of the week. mine is i feel like you don't know what this is like christy because you know southern california and mine you will not know either yeah exactly so mine is trying to wear a shoulder bag or a tote bag when you're wearing a puffer coat or just like a big coat in the winter it's impossible it's impossible it won't stay up on your shoulder you need a crossbody bag but it's like sometimes i want to wear a shoulder bag i don't want to wear a fucking crossbody yeah when i wear a crossbody I think of as I blow my cigarette, you know, when I studied abroad in Italy.

1:10:18Yeah, it's like, okay, girl studying abroad. Yeah, like that's what it is. And you guys, trust me, I love crossbodies. I have some very adult elevated crossbodies that I wear all the time because walking back, sir, I need my hands. So I wear crossbodies very often, but like it's not always what I want to wear. Like sometimes I want to look a little bit more grown up, you know? No, and you know what? That is, I can imagine how frustrating that must be. It's I get so flustered. You know, when you're already like really annoyed and having a bad day and then you're and then your fucking tote bag falls off.

1:10:50You can feel your sock going down in your boot and your hair is stuck to your lip gloss. Sophie, do you know what I just thought of that one? The TikTok of the girl moving. She's getting flustered. Move. I was like, that's literally Sophie. That's me all. That's me all. Wait, that was Christy and I like on FaceTime earlier. we were like doing logistic stuff and we're like logging into like, you know, I was like, oh, I'm trying to like log into this. And I was like, why is there fucking two factor authentication? Oh, this is so annoying. Oh, God damn it. It was so flustering. I was like, show my screen.

1:11:26No, no, no, no. You know what? That's why I relate to this is like an ADHD thing. People with ADHD get very flustered very easily. And that's also why sometimes I extend some sympathy to Craig Conover and his little like fits. I relate to it because Craig is the Sam Y. I understand. It's like the flustering is like it gets over stimulated. Yes. Yeah, totally. Speaking of over stimulation, my dark energy object is for those of us that drive cars when you're not living in a city, the space between the center console and the driver's seat, I always get shit stuck in there, whether it be my keys, whether it be the parking validation little ticket, like I always get something stuck in there and I feel like there has to be a better way to get shit out of that little tiny.

1:12:12It's like as thin as my pinky. How am I supposed to get anything out of there? Yeah. Why does that even exist? Like, shouldn't they? They should like fill that with concrete. So something about, just think about my car. My car is like this beat up, like, it's just like 2013, like old sedan. Wait, Chrissy, how do you, don't you have a cassette player? Yeah. Christy has a cassette player. No, like Sophie, when I was picking her up, she looked at me dead in the eyes, so serious. She goes, would it kill you to maybe upgrade the car? And I'm not saying that like in a classist way. I was saying that, Christy, you deserve a car that has like some sort of like aux capability.

1:13:04No, like, I literally... I was like, oh, careful. I was like, if you want to play music, you have to play the Apple podcast app, and then you have to switch this podcast. She's like, what do you mean? I can't just, like, what? Like, yeah, sorry. It's a whole thing. Yeah. It's a whole... There's... And she also has, like, a flip book of, like, CDs and stuff in her car still. No, but she was dead. Would it kill you to maybe upgrade? I mean, maybe for safety. For safety, honestly. It's for safety. That's what it is. I just... You know, like, the Asian in me, I'm like... No, like, it doesn't make sense.

1:13:35Like, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Yeah, and I'm like, it takes me from point A to point B. I'd rather put that money towards, like, I don't know, my home. I don't know. But, like, I totally hear you. My coworkers make fun of me all the time. But I just think of you all the time. Would it kill you to maybe upgrade? Would it? Guys, guys, help Christy upgrade, okay? Help. Listen to our ads and use our codes. Yes, please. And help Christy upgrade. I'm going to start a GoFundMe. No, I'm kidding. Oh, my God. Please don't come from me. Oh, my God. I'm not going to start a GoFundMe. No, we're just joking, you guys.

1:14:10This is unhinged. We usually record in the mornings. Like, I'm not well right now. You know what I mean? Yeah, I feel like it's such different vibes right now. We're recording at... You guys, it's 10 p.m. Eastern time, my time. 10 p.m. Because we're usually recording, like, 9 a.m. Eastern, 6 a.m. Pacific. It's very off for us to be doing this at night. And I think I'm, like, delirious. Yeah, same. So as for light energy objects, speaking of nighttime, mine is night showers. Are you a night shower or a morning shower? Of course. Night shower. Of course. Of course. Huh. Huh. Yeah, you guys, there's no other way.

1:14:44I fucking love night showers, especially in the winter. Like I, well, I think in the summer also, but like a hot shower after a long day of like being cold in the winter is like the best feeling. and you wash all of like the germs of the day off of you and just getting into your bed, getting into your sheets while you're clean, like there's no other, there's no better feeling. Oh, 100%. I don't go, I typically don't sit on any furniture with my outdoor clothes. Yeah. Yeah, same. It's also, I mean, it's funny also because in New York, it's very normal for people to be afraid of outside clothes because you have the subway and like just everything in New York City feels gross and grimy.

1:15:27But like for you to have that. Oh, I know. I sit in my ass. Car, office, car office. Yeah, it's like, where are you sitting? That's so offensive. Also, as soon as we, I'm thinking about when I was there also and Christy, we walk in the door. For the record, Christy had only taken her suitcase from her car trunk to the hotel in LA back to her car trunk. she takes out she takes out her suitcase and immediately wipes it down i'm like your suitcase wasn't even like on a plane no like it's an ocd thing like yeah totally i get it i get it my last light energy object that i want to call out is this is for the atlanta baby starks my beloved Aunt Linda opened a vintage shop in Atlanta.

1:16:20I believe it's in Buckhead, I want to say, called Finds and Designs. And it is like all hand curated by my aunt. She traveled the country with her friend, literally road tripped across the country, going to different vintage stores and Goodwills and finding these amazing hidden gems and just curated this amazing store that she is literally filled by hand with all of these incredible finds and tchotchkes and furniture and pieces for the home and even some stuff that my grandmother had in her house. My grandmother, who is still with us, but she has posted on TikTok of my grandma finding these amazing little tchotchkes and things that she's made by hand.

1:17:11My grandma, my Nana Jenny, has always been like a crafter. And I don't know. It's just, it's really exciting. I hope that our Atlanta Baby Snarks will check it out. I'm so excited to see it IRL when I'm in Atlanta next. I have a lot of family there. But yeah, it's just, I had to shout it out. It's just very special to me. I love seeing, you know, my family members start new businesses. How fun is that? I know. And I love that. Like, you know, even it doesn't matter at what point in time you are in life. It's never too early or too late to start something that you're a business that you're passionate about, dare I say.

1:17:50Literally. She has gone through a transformative time and this is her new chapter and it's really exciting for her and I hope that all of the Atlanta-based baby snarks will check it out. And when you meet her, tell her I sent you. Oh, that is adorable. Shout out to Aunt Linda. I too have an Aunt Linda. I feel like that's very common. Aunt name. Yeah. Aunt Linda's been the best. I don't know. It's like everyone has, every parent has a sibling named Linda. Yes. And I see Aunt Linda. No one's parent is named Linda. It's just the parent siblings. Correct. Correct. And I love when Linda posts, or excuse me, likes our Instagram posts at Snark Bay Pod.

1:18:34She's always there to support. She's always there to support. Yeah, Christy knows about her now. She's always supporting us. So it's time for me to return the favor. And I'm genuinely so excited to see this store when I'm in Atlanta. It has such amazing things from what I've seen. So, yeah, that is my last light energy object. Do you have one or are you just like not in the mood? You know what? I will shout out two things that I'm like beauty things that I'm loving right now. So you guys know Micro Perfumes is a sponsor of ours, and I'm actually genuinely obsessed. I would 1 ,000 % use their website, even if they weren't a sponsor.

1:19:14But I tried several different scents, and I'm really loving Burberry Goddess. It's a really light—it's better for spring, light, florally scent. And the thing with Micro Perfumes is you don't have to invest in a big bottle that basically takes up space on your shelf for years because you just, you know, spray it, you know, twice a day. It's smaller vial sizes that are perfect for travel. You can put it in like a TSA bag, all that. I'm obsessed. The second thing is my, I got this like face laser and I got a salmon sperm like on my face after. So it helps with the recovery. If you guys are like interested in facial skincare, ask your dermatologist for that.

1:19:59I think it was like originated in Korea or some kind of Asian skincare, but I'm really loving that on top of my laser because it helps my skin heal faster. And it's very like it helps it push collagen and like rejuvenates the skin. So those are my two light energy beauty hacks for the girlies. Love that. Thank you for sharing. And yeah, skin looks great. Even if it's a little red after your laser, it still looks glowy as hell. Anyway, you guys, this was an interesting DT. Are you the gay sex police? Gay sexy police? It's a valid question. I'm so earnestly asked. This is the last Dark Energy Tuesday of 2025.

See you guys soon and have a good rest of your holiday week. Thank you and good night. Bye. I've been a diehard TaskRabbit stan long before they were a sponsor. I cannot remember the last time I moved without enlisting a tasker, whether it was for assembling furniture, mounting a TV, hanging artwork or shelves, the list goes on.

1:22:15And it's not just during a move where your to-do list can feel like it's 10 pages long. Sometimes I really just need an extra hand for those little things I feel like I never end up getting around to myself, like hanging the collage wall. I promised myself I'd do for months. Wherever you are, TaskRabbit is here to help. TaskRabbit connects you with skilled taskers in your area for moving, furniture assembly, home repairs, yard work, mounting, you name it. You can search for a tasker based on cost, skillset, availability, and past client reviews. So you know exactly who's showing up and can have confidence that they know what they're doing.

1:22:44Taskers have assembled over 3.4 million pieces of furniture, completed 700 ,000 home repairs, handled 1.5 million moves and counting. It's okay to ask for help with your to-do list. In fact, it's the most efficient way to get things done, in my humble opinion. When life happens, your to-do list grows. Get ahead of it now and get$15 off your first task at TaskRabbit.com or on the TaskRabbit app using promo code SNARK. Taskers book up fast, especially for same-day tasks. So book trusted home help today. That's$15 off your first task using promo code SNARK with the TaskRabbit app or at TaskRabbit.com.

1:23:18With the weather lately, I feel like I'm always out and about doing things. Errands, workouts, beach days, you name it. And when summer hits, I am always reminded that I need clothes that can actually keep up with all of that. And that's why I joined Fabletics as a VIP. It completely changed how I shop for a new season. New VIPs unlock major savings on their first purchase, so stocking up on cute, comfortable pieces doesn't feel like some major splurge. When I signed up as a new VIP with Fabletics, I got 70 to 80 % off of everything. It made it so easy to grab multiple matching sets, shorts, tanks, and lounge pieces for the summer without overthinking it.

1:23:53And the quality is genuinely so good. Fabletics pieces feel like ultra luxe activewear you'd expect from some of those higher-end brands, you know the ones, but without the hefty price tag. These pieces are built to actually last, and I love that for me. My genuine absolute favorite piece I've gotten is the Anywhere cropped bra tank. It's a perfect workout top that I can throw on for a workout just to record, run errands, go out to lunch. And genuinely, my boobs look really good. They're like, they suck in and like perk up just the way I like it. And I just genuinely love how easy it is to get dressed with Fabletics and how put together I look without having to actually think about it.

1:24:29Shop now at Fabletics.com slash snark to get 70 to 80 % off everything when you sign up as a new VIP. Take a really quick style quiz and be sure to select snark when prompted to unlock this offer. This is a limited time offer, so don't wait. Again, that's fabletics.com slash snark for 70 to 80 % off everything as a new VIP.

1:25:05Everything you need to make your outdoor area the best seat in the house. It's my favorite start to the day, and it wouldn't be possible without my Wayfair furniture. I also really appreciate that Wayfair has installation and assembly services because outdoor furniture can be heavy and intimidating to assemble.

1:25:35It makes the experience truly seamless and stress-free. But my favorite part about Wayfair, you don't have to take out a freaking loan or remortgage your house just to make your space as gorgeous as possible. Especially if you, like me, are not in your forever home yet and you don't want to slurge on major investment pieces. I love how affordable everything at Wayfair is. Patio season is here and these deals won't last. Head to Wayfair.com right now to get your outdoor space ready for way less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R.com. Wayfair, every style, every home. If there's one refresh worth making this summer, it's your bedding.

1:26:11Trust me. Summer nights always leave me wanting bedding that feels lighter, more breathable, etc., etc. And Quince has been my go-to for so long now. They focus on high-quality materials like European linen and bamboo without the luxury markup. My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets duvet cover.

1:26:47You can literally feel the difference. I also love their Mulberry Silk Pillowcases and Eye Masks. They help keep your hair smooth and skin hydrated overnight because they don't absorb your natural oils like other materials do. This bedding is made for literal beauty sleep, you guys. Quince has everything you need to upgrade your bedding for summer. Lightweight sheets, airy linen shams, seasonal colors, and timeless patterns like stripes and soft neutrals. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 % less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middleman.

1:27:19So you're paying for quality, not a name brand markup. Elevate your summer bedding. Go to quince.com slash snarkbait for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada too. That's Q-U-I-N-C-E dot com slash snarkbait for free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com slash snarkbait. Capture your favorite summer feeling with Pandora jewelry.
