1:00Emergency. Emergency. Guys, there is like so much to discuss regarding this West and Amanda drama. Oh my God. It's been a day. I'm not even going to lie. Sophie and I were not on video today. If you guys are new here, hi. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. We are the Snarkbait Podcast and we have been covering this thing. And quite frankly, I am run dry. I am so fucking tired because every minute there is something new to this story. And I hope by the time that we love this, it's 4 p.m. Pacific, 7 p.m. Eastern on March 31st. Henry, I'm recording.

1:39Yeah. Okay, we're just going to leave that in. I'm sorry. You guys, this is showbiz, baby. That's showbiz, baby. It's been a lot. And I think that hopefully by the time we release this within the hour, there's probably going to be even more developments because literally it's changing by the very minute. Yes. There is a lot that is happening and a lot that is coming out. And there's just, I can't even keep up. I feel like we have been kind of adding to this document throughout the day. For context, just to catch you guys up, at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, West and Amanda dropped a joint statement saying that they are basically together.

2:22The rumors are true. And can we just say we're vindicated? we had so many people doubting we've been saying it also like we've been talking about this we believed it I forgot to mention when we did that other episode uh on whatever day it was Monday dark energy Monday just yesterday it feels like a week ago literally yesterday I had that source who was talking to Jesse Solomon in Cabo weeks ago and Jesse Solomon was telling people in Cabo So this is something that we have firmly believed and we have stood 10 toes down believing it. And everyone else out there, not everyone, I know a lot of you guys were on board with this, but a lot of people were saying this is just an elaborate April Fool's break.

3:04Amanda would never do this. Yeah, because it's bad for her. It's bad for West. People are angry and their statement did not help. So Christy, do you want to read their statement? at. We've seen the growing online speculations. While this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity. It was never our intention to purposely hide anything. Given the complicated relationship dynamics involved and the scrutiny that comes with being on a reality show, we needed a little space to process things privately before speaking on it. We're showing up for each other as friends over the years through all the highs and lows and what's developed recently was the last thing either of us expected.

3:40Our connection grew out of a genuine long-standing friendship, which made it especially important for us to approach this with care as our feelings evolved we wanted to take them we wanted to take time to understand exactly what we were feeling we also recognize that this has been this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless we truly appreciate the understanding and respect as we navigate this it's just like the fact of all they were lying they were lying to the public They were lying apparently to their fellow castmates. That is what has since come out that everyone else on the cast, I guess, other than Jesse Solomon was completely in the dark about this.

4:20I think that's the part that feels creepy to me is with Scandaball, and I know the comparisons, you know, Scandaball and Amanda Ball, West Amanda Ball, whatever you want to call this. With Scandaball, TMZ broke the story and then it was just out there. It wasn't the rumblings that we have seen for now months and them outwardly denying it. Wait, that's such a good distinction. Sophie, with Scandaval, there was zero speculation until we heard it confirmed through a very reputable news source. With Amanda and Wes, you're completely right. This has been online speculation exclusively. And they've been lying.

4:56Like, it's all just so creepy and fucked up. And I think there are so many layers of deception. And Scandaball also had layers of deception. But something about this. And I'm. Guys, I'm not saying that one is worse. But I think. They're both bad. They're both really bad. The friendship. The. Amanda and Sierra. Sierra was such a good friend to Amanda. It's like that. And then also the fact that Sierra told West how many times. that she didn't want to be embarrassed she didn't want to be hurt again that there is such a complex configuration as a black woman on the show and getting embarrassed by this white man and he does the worst thing imaginable it is just so much deception and then also kyle cook obviously apparently kyle cook according to tmz as recently as this past weekend did not know that this was happening.

5:55And he was asking West and Amanda to be straight up with him and tell him the truth. And they were both denying it as recently as this past weekend. So. And can we just also point to the fact that I think right before Summer House aired, this is Paige's, this is the first season Paige has not been on the show in a while. Amanda said publicly, quote, it would have been very difficult. It would have been a very difficult summer to get through without Sierra. She's one of the kindest, most loving, loyal friends that I've ever had. so Amanda is doing this to one of the kindest loving most loyal friends she's ever had and Wes is fucking over the woman that really implicitly trusted him despite all the shit that he has put her through like I think Sophie you and I both as women in our 30s we've been played by men in our 20s and to understand like the level of deception and hurt that goes along with this type of like you said a configuration across a very good friend of yours and the guy that has played you for fucking years, there is nothing that will cut so deeply.

6:51Genuinely. Yeah. And we said it on our other episode that this wasn't just a fling to Ciara. And the people that are kind of brushing off Ciara's feelings, first of all, it's giving anti-black. Second of all, you haven't been paying attention to the show. Just because they may have never been, like, officially boyfriend and girlfriend, we all knew Ciara was in love with West. She was in love with that man. Very obvious. She basically said as much. I mean, two episodes ago, you can't help who you love. Yes, exactly. She basically said as much. You're right. And West, first of all, West has never had a storyline on Summer House other than Sierra.

7:27He has used Sierra for three summers now as a storyline. I think what is most diabolical about this, I mean, there's so many diabolical things about it. And I was texting you about this. And Christy, I feel like it was like an aha moment for you when I said, I feel like West was using Sierra as a decoy last summer. Because now all of these clips that are resurfacing from Summer House this season where it seems like there was definitely some flirtation, emotional connection. I'm not going to say a physical affair happening between Amanda and Wes, but definitely flirtation. And there is one scene where they're playing spin the bottle, Amanda kisses Kyle, and then that is when Wes scoots closer to Sierra and starts rubbing on her.

8:07It was like he was trying to make Amanda jealous. Faces with reality 16. posted a lot of really good clips you guys so i would hand over there to her page to know what we are talking about but i want to double click really fast on what you just said about the anti-blackness sierra about an hour ago so around 3 p.m pacific posted reposted an instagram reel from at its reality with ali basically saying that if west does proceed with a relationship with amanda it is giving anti-blackness and we cannot say anti-blackness is synonymous synonymous with being racist or with being racist. I think we all know Wes is an ally.

8:46He has many friends of color. He's like very vocally stands against ICE, which I think is a lot more to say than a lot of other influencers can. We'll give him that. But being anti-black is actually, whether consciously or subconsciously, not deeming someone as long-term material merely because of the color of their skin. And subconsciously choosing a white person, knowing that they are more viable for a long-term pick. Like if he does decide to proceed with a relationship with Amanda, I think we can all agree that it is subconsciously anti-black. And the way that he has completely discarded her and embarrassed her time and time again.

9:23And I think we were just talking about this off mic. You were like, West would never do – West and Amanda would never do this to Paige. Never. They would never do this to another white cast member. It feels anti-black. It does. And so I think, again, that's an additional layer here. And for anyone who disputes that, actually, I would go so far as to say for anyone that disputes that, you can't really say anything until you have lived in a person like a non-white person's skin. Like I can say that being an Asian person. I don't think you could even say it with your whole chest. And I don't mean that in like a mean way.

9:58Like only people of color can really say and know what it is to experience this. And I don't mean that like aggressively at all, by the way. Do you know what I mean though? like oh my god don't have an opinion about this if you are white i'm sorry a hundred percent and if you're going to dispute this let's just point to the fact that sierra herself has reposted this so she clearly agrees with this take um so apparently as recently as december sierra and west were hooking up and we will see later this season on summer house apparently there is some rekindling they allegedly hook up this summer on summer house i hate i'm i'm dreading when that episode airs i know sorry sorry it gives me goosebumps makes me sick and us weekly shared an article today the internet exploded you guys i was also just ranting to christy okay two sidebar things first of all henry got me a smoothie do you know that jay shetty your best friend has a collab with joe and the juice it's enough okay i've had a fucking day shetty not jay shetty after the day I've had Jay Shetty's name on my smoothie please I'm about to burst into tears like I can't handle I know I can't handle one more thing no the universe is just like it's one one battle after another truly uh so that yeah second of all I was telling Christy and like the snarkbait girlies that I have five billion texts from people like people that I'm friends with but then also like people that I'm like I don't really talk to that much that are just texting me because I'm their only Bravo friend.

11:31Like they have no one else to talk about this with. And I want to set up an auto reply where I'm just like, just listen to the episode. Like leave me alone. 12:01TMZ is writing articles. People, Us Weekly. One of the articles that Us Weekly posted today says that Sierra and Wes were casually seeing each other and seeing if things would work out again recently. That breaks my heart. So Sierra is very openly devastated and upset by this. and uh yeah she apparently got a heads up in my opinion and from what I have heard the physical evidence what we said was a photo which may actually be a video is what forced their hand they were going to try to keep this under the radar Sierra got a hold of this physical evidence this physical evidence was starting to go around and they knew they couldn't keep it a secret anymore and that's why it all of a sudden blew up after months of speculation exactly why now why the sperm the sperm is the fact that there are videos the videos and photos circulating people like not just one dm by the way we've gotten like at least six dms of people saying the photo or video does in fact exist along with multiple other fan accounts so take that people who were saying we sent ourselves the DM.

13:10Take that. Get a life. Literally get a life. So they hooked up as recently as December, allegedly. We also know they were at the Super Bowl together in February, early February. I have heard from sources that they have been hooking up since at least January. I don't know emotionally how, I don't, I don't know exact timelines here, but I have heard with good authority that this has been going on since January. That would align when Amanda and Kyle released their joint statement announcing their separation on January 19th. Also, the Super Bowl was being... Christy is silently screaming. She's silently screaming at her mic.

13:52Early February was the Super Bowl when Dave Portnoy says that he found out... And I'm sorry. I hate to give him airtime. We hate him. We have a whole deep dive on Dave Portnoy. I fucking hate this man. He says that Brianna Chicken Fry, who is good friends with West, which, again, I have always clocked West as being disgusting. And him being best friends with Brianna Chicken Fry, like, please, guys. Not only best friends, but they have hooked up before. We were saying off mic, West is so fucking run down. He is hooking up with every woman in New York City. Oh, Demois just posted that West is actively hooking up with other people right now.

14:32And I think that is also why I think their statement was so vague. It didn't say we are in a relationship, we are in love, which I think, like, it was kind of just word salad. I think if they actually committed to the bit and they were like, we actually are in love and we couldn't help our feelings, like, it wasn't a good statement. I was so confused by it. Anyway, Dave Portnoy posted today that yawn chicken fry told me this at the Super Bowl, old news. West was with Sierra at the Super Bowl and everyone was like oh my god they're rekindling I'm so glad you're bringing this up Sophie because Fibula I believe posted a photo of all of them they were there with Abercrombie and Fitch I believe and Sierra and West looked very happy together and not cuddly but like they had their arms around each other and everyone was assuming oh is this a rekindling of Sierra and West like that to me the juxtaposition of us believing that just a couple months ago after that photo surfaced and now realizing no no no know Amanda and Wes were actually canoodling at a bar together that weekend yes literally that weekend we have photo we finally have the photo evidence that everyone's been waiting for yeah this is on Twitter uh Miami Bozo at Miami Bozo tweeted today I'm a nobody but I broke this to my friends two days after the Super Bowl I had no idea who they were he said do you know Wes and Amanda from Summer House they're seated next to me at the bar and people are like just the two of them.

15:55And he's like, yeah, I just befriended a West and Amanda from summer house. Your wives would probably be pretty excited. It clearly doesn't know exactly who they are, but befriended them and took a picture of them sitting alone at the bar together. This was super bowl weekend. So it is safe to assume that it's been several months now. And, uh, yeah, it sounds like they were lying to everyone except maybe Jesse Solomon. and that is the part that makes it like I said really creepy to me and also here I found the post about West hooking up with like multiple girls currently right I already have heard of two distant mutuals who are also actively hooking up with West one of these girls lives in New York and is the girl you captured leaving the bar with him a few weeks back just a few weeks back he was photographed with a girl I remember that I remember that post yep and the other lives in Chicago the Chicago girl told him she's done about a week ago and he said oh come on you're the only girl I have chase.

20:35However, in Summer House's situation, cameras, TMZ has confirmed, are not being picked back up. The reunion has not been filmed yet. And all this will hopefully unfold for us, you know, viewers on the reunion. Yeah, so apparently the reunion is going to film either April 17th or April 23rd. I've heard mixed things in April and should be very interesting, obviously. What I think makes this really complicated for Bravo is that In the City filmed right after Summer House this fall, wrapped filming in November. So that complicates things. Can it? I don't give a fuck. No, literally. Everything has changed.

21:14Literally. I do not give a fuck. I can totally see why their castmates are so angry with them. Yes. So Housewives Hub on Twitter tweeted, this is from People Magazine. A source tells people that most people on the cast did not see Amanda and Wes' relationship coming and many are still in the dark about what has actually occurred. They kept this very secretive and were openly lying about it, which forced everyone else to put it together over the past few days as the rest of the world did the same. there's a lot of hurt a lot of confusion and a feeling of betrayal among among the friend group so not only is it the lying like i said it's the oh you just fucked up our livelihood potentially i didn't even think of that sophie but you're 100 correct i said can it as it pertains to the city but not realizing you're right everyone's livelihoods as it pertains that show airing is now why do we even care about this none of it is relevant in as of march 31st 2026 so Lindsay's pissed Kyle's pissed who else is on that show besides Amanda Kyle and Lindsay I don't even fucking know Andrea Andrea by the way I got an amazing cameo from Andrea for my birthday from the Stark Bay team and he took it so seriously it was four minutes long he loves birthday cake apparently he is such a sweetie I know I do need to post it I do but you know what you know what's so funny is that I was working with Olivia on our team to coordinate it and yeah she goes not joking Sophie it was like a Tuesday like the week before your birthday that we had like we were going on to a cameo who do we have like we had so many options and we landed on Andrea because he's hot and we're like that makes sense yeah hot yeah we'll go with him so we asked for it at like 11 a.m you know pacific I'm not joking by 12 30 it was already delivered so Olivia was oh my god he upload you guys he uploaded it already and he literally commented he goes do you need me to make any edits please let me know oh my god he's so cute he was literally just like sitting in a car and like they were like i feel like he was in the middle of fucking traffic because there were cars zooming past him and he was saying happy birthday it was what i i'm not exaggerating it was the first thing i woke up to it was four minutes long i was just like watching it i was like wow it's still going he's so oh my god hot piece of ass apparently him and his wife lexi are on it.

23:33Thank you. That's who I was forgetting. Yep, Lexi. Yes. So I can imagine there is a lot of anger there. Okay, I want to talk about my initial thoughts and feelings. First of all, I just have to shout Sophie out. Every fucking time I find a little nugget on the internet and I share it with the Snark Beat team, Sophie goes, saw it already? Seen it. Old news. Old news. Wait, wait, wait. Christy time that Jason Tardik podcast you were like oh my god did you see this and I was like that was actually recorded in January it just recently came out so disregard published she was like you know that was published actually on January 13th 2026 they aired it two days ago old news next I was like oh also wait speaking of um oh my god speaking of like podcasts and interviews some of those interviews where it's clear that Wes and Amanda were seeing each other there's one that Us Weekly posted from February where they ask her about Sierra and West and she says no Sierra needs to stay away from him.

24:39This is sick. This is the first time I'm hearing this. Sick. It's like sick. Watching it back I actually am like I hate them both. I know that's like really dramatic. I'm sorry. We're passionate people though and like when we say it we mean it. I'm disgusted with them. I'm truly disgusted with him. I feel for Sierra. I honestly, I kind of feel for Kyle. I do. Don't get me started on Kyle. No. Okay. I want to hear your initial thoughts and feelings. I know you feel strongly about this. Okay. First, like I said, Wes is so run over and I feel like it's very interesting the way men's careers on Bravo take off versus women's.

25:22I think women, for instance, let's look at Paige the Sorbo, Hannah, all the housewives, they made like real names for themselves, real businesses that they're passionate about. With men, they get a little taste of fame. And Bravo, the audience is predominantly female. I would say like 90 % female, like 10 % girls, gays, theys, you know. When men get on Bravo, they get a little taste of fame and they eat it up and their trajectory just become like becoming a thirst monster. Look at Austin. I feel like his course of his life would have turned out very differently had he not been casted on Southern Charm.

25:53And like I hate to say it because I don't think Austin's a cast. Cast. Oh my God, sorry. I'm triggering you. Sorry. As if I needed to add more today. When Craig said to him, you haven't really done anything for the past five years of his life, it was so below the belt and awful. I would never be friends with Craig again if he were to say that to me. He wasn't necessarily incorrect. Right? And I think it's really sad because Austin could have done a lot more with his life as are many of the men on Bravo. But they choose this life of chasing women and getting drunk and being famous. They go to BravoCon and they're treated like they're the Beatles.

26:22Right. Exactly. And I feel like when it comes to West, he is no different than these other guys. He was like some nobody guy from the Midwest. He's like this lovable kind of petite, little bit like juicy, pink. Compact. Compact guy. Walks like a toddler. Walks like a toddler. Belly first. He's like, wait, what's your nephew's name? Miles. Oh, I was going to say Miles. No, no. He walks like Miles. I'm sorry. He does. He walks like my nephew, Miles. Like belly first, bubble butt out.

27:01He's just like really compact. And he's pink. He's juicy. It's crazy that Amanda has such – like she likes pink petite men. Clearly. And men that love to party. She likes like the blonde pink men. And the men that love to party. She didn't want to date a DJ. She didn't want to be in the parties. And she goes for West fucking Wilson. I was just talking about this with my sister. My sister was like, oh, like she, I thought she didn't want a guy that's out of the time. No, she just like didn't want Kyle, I guess. I mean, I don't know. Like obviously their marriage was very nuanced and Kyle was not a great husband.

27:39I don't know if she was like always the best wife either. They were just clearly incompatible and toxic together. Yeah. But it does seem like watching the season of Summer House, she is so fucking over him. She hates him. We were, we knew that. Like watching it, we're like, oh my God, they're so done. We know that they end up getting divorced. Like she's so done with him. She's so icked out by him. But then like you can tell that she has a crush on West. She's, in my opinion. Yeah, she's tolerating Kyle and she's flirting with West. Yes. In front of her husband's face. I think that Kyle like sensed that.

28:14And that's why he, not to make excuses for his behavior because there's no excuse whatsoever for the way that he spoke to her. I think there are scenes where you can tell that he's really insecure when she gets in the pool. And we said when she's getting up, it's like, Kyle, how many times have you been fucking naked on Summer House? Right. We've totally stuck up for Amanda. We've totally stuck up for Amanda the earlier part of this season. Yes. Yes. But like now looking back, it's like, oh, he probably felt like the sexual chemistry maybe between Amanda. Because Wes' eyes were bulging out of his head when he saw Amanda.

28:45Say what you want about Kyle. I think his intuition was spot on. And that's why, again, we are not condoning the way he's been speaking to Amanda. It's abhorrent. It's disgusting. He needs serious emotional regulation. And he needs to work with that. Alcoholic, emotionally be said. Alcoholic, emotionally dysregulated human being. I think we can all agree on that. But I think it's coming from a place of him feeling very, very triggered and very intuitive about how Amanda is completely throwing him off to the side and paying attention to the other men in this house. Again, two things can be true at once.

29:14Yeah. The behavior is unacceptable, but I see why he was so triggered. So I just want to say, since season four, we've always said hashtag justice for Jules. I've always looked at Amanda sideways the way that she treated Jules in that cast. Oh, my Cincinnati queen. Yes. And I think that I've talked about this before, but being a Chinese person, having exclusively white friends all the way from when I was a little kid, all the way through college, you know what it feels like to be the only non-white person in spaces and you know what it feels like to be isolated from those spaces it doesn't even need to be like we were saying up top anti-black it doesn't have to be like someone calling you a chink sorry i don't like to use that word but like it's not someone calling you a racial derogatory word it's very micro aggressive aggressions yeah and for me i always have looked at her sideways because she was leading the pack on that in fact i actually feel like page was the only one that was nice to jewels that entire season and that's putting it lightly like the bar was in hell like the bar was in hell like they were all really mean to her i think page was the nicest one but like she was still really snarky about her in confessionals and like wasn't even that nice to her i agree but i think to her face she was the only quote unquote nice one yeah they were never forget when amanda kicked a bottle that jules was drinking out of kicked it like they were so that is the only cast member to this day that they have taken a vote to kick them out of the house and that's why summer house in my opinion has like a race problem and we've said this before yeah and i think they have i will say i think they've actively tried to go against that over the last couple of years since covet with i think sierra being a large part of that vocalizing the way that she feels and is like listen i don't even feel comfortable bringing this up to a group of white people i'm the first black woman in this house but let me tell you how it felt when andrea called maya lexi that's a microaggression in and of itself but you guys don't understand that because you will never step a day into our shoes but i i do feel like sierra has done such a good job of teaching the rest of the cast and her friends and i feel like they have done a pretty good job i think again when you compare it to fucking southern charm where the bars and hell like summer house is leagues ahead of it but i've just i've always looked at her sideways about that the news about amanda and west is not really shocking at all i feel like amongst friend groups and amongst like Amanda she keeps her circle close it's not outside the realm of possibility that she would fall for Wes he's charismatic he's fun he's like I always say we would queen out with Wes he's like a fun guy to be around I wouldn't you would I've always said I hate no Sophie would never queen out with Wes I think I would queen out with Wes I don't think they are necessarily bad people for acting like the life of the party kind of like how Kyle used to be he was the number one guy in the house yeah number one guy in the group exactly and I think that's why Amanda was gravitate towards him I don't think they are bad people for having feelings for one another.
