In short

A Snarkbait Patreon bonus episode (Aug 2025) analyzing why Kylie Jenner’s brands “disappear” or lose momentum, arguing the core issue is dilution of the Kylie brand and reliance on hype/celebrity branding rather than product strength.

Guest backgrounds

No guests are interviewed. The hosts are Sophie and Christy (Snarkbait). They discuss personal experiences as consumers and their marketing/retail knowledge.

Key claims

  • Kylie Cosmetics launched as a scarcity-driven hit (lip kits sold out immediately) but later expanded too broadly, weakening the brand.
  • Kylie’s products are manufactured by the same types of manufacturers as other mass brands (e.g., ColourPop), making the premium feel unjustified.
  • Heavy “Kylie” naming and face-plastering makes the brand feel tacky/embarrassing versus more standalone celebrity brands (e.g., Skims/Good American).
  • Multiple Kylie sub-brands quietly shut down without clear communication.

Notable examples

  • Kylie Cosmetics: launched Nov 30, 2015; sold 51% stake to Cody on Nov 18, 2019 for $600M (valued at $1.2B); still exists but less viral.
  • Kylie Skin (May 22, 2019): still on site but largely dormant; Kylie Skin Instagram inactive since June 29, 2025.
  • Kylie Swim (Sept 17, 2021): launched and vanished after backlash (see-through fabric, poor coverage); Instagram erased.
  • Kylie Baby (Sept 18, 2021): backlash for using Stormi heavily; now effectively defunct (only towels/brushes/travel cases; lotions/barrier products not purchasable).

0:35Potential savings will vary. I have literally always been obsessed with Ruggable and rave about Ruggable to whoever listens, which is why I was thrilled and shocked when I found out they were going to sponsor the pod. My kitchen runner, foyer runner, outdoor balcony rug, and living room rug are all Ruggable. I'm not exaggerating. Not only do they have the chicest designs for whatever you're looking for, whether your style is boho, modern, classic, the rugs are both stain-resistant and machine-washable. This is key for me as a New Yorker with a dog. You don't even want to know what kind of city sludge he can drag into the house on any given day.

1:11But with Ruggable, you don't have to worry about professional carpet cleaners or big machines. You can just throw it in the wash and it comes out looking as high quality as the day you got it. It's truly a game changer. Oh, and the non-slip backing that every single one of the rugs has, also key for having a dog with the zoomies. So they're functional for high traffic homes, yes, but they're also fashionable. I truly take pride in my interior design skills and my guests always compliment my rugs. Thanks, Ruggable. Love ya. 1:47That's R-U-G-G-A-B-L-E dot com. And use code SNARK at checkout. Your call has been forwarded to voicemail. Hi, this is Zoe Deutsch. And Nick Robinson. Our brand new movie, Voicemails for Isabel, is all about those little moments that feel like the universe is looking out. Feeling homesick, then your sister calls. Hearing that perfect song exactly when you need it.

2:15Sometimes life rigs things in our favor, like learning about your new favorite rom-com, Voicemails for Isabel. Only on Netflix, June 19th. Hey everybody, welcome back to Snarkbait. I'm Sophie. I'm Christy. And you guys, we have a bit of a different, we have a change in programming, we should say. Is that right? Yeah. So essentially, because of our live shows this weekend, we are all traveling on Monday, June 15th. And Mondays are when we record DET. So we unfortunately did not have a chance to record DET. So instead, we are going to show you guys one of our favorite Patreon episodes from way back in the archives.

2:57It is August 2025, all about Kylie Jenner's disappearing brands. And this is a really fun one. And as you guys know, we have bonus episodes every Wednesday over on Patreon. It is not often, actually, it basically never happens that we put our Patreon episodes on the main feed. So we hope you guys enjoy. Again, this is a really fun one. And we're sorry that we don't have a new DET, but hopefully this makes it worth it. And I was going to say this kind of dovetails well into our Patreon episode tomorrow because we are recording an episode on Rode versus Kylie Cosmetics. Why has Rode been so successful and why has Kylie Cosmetics kind of fallen off?

3:38And we kind of talk about the marketing, the user-generated content and how that differs between the two brands, what makes Haley more of an it girl and who's kind of ascended across even makeup. She's just become so relevant to culture today. And I think Kylie did have a hold on us back in 2015, 2016, and she's kind of dissipated in a lot of our minds. So we really double-click into why that is. So I think, listen to this, you'll get a good understanding of why Kylie's brands in general fail. And then tomorrow on Patreon, we'll talk about why Kylie Cosmetics, despite it being her most lucrative, successful brand, is really still not as successful as it was 10 years ago.

4:14So I'm excited to go over that too. Yeah, so enjoy the episode, guys, and enjoy tomorrow's Patreon episode if you, you know, hang out over there with us. And then we will be back with our normal programming on Thursday as well. Yeah. See you guys in a little bit and enjoy this episode. Bye. Bye. Hey, Sophie. Hey, Christy. And hey, everyone. Welcome back to the Patreon. How are you doing this morning? Ooh, you guys, it's August 22nd on a Friday, very early, and there's truly nowhere I'd rather be. And frankly, no other topic I'm ready to discuss than this. But before we dive into this, how's your week been?

4:55How have you been feeling? This week has been stressful. I feel like it's just been a crazy, crazy, crazy week with work, with just our responsibilities for the podcast. And, you know, like, it's fun. I will say I'm excited for this wedding we have tonight. It's the wedding I got the dress for when we were in L.A. Yay. And I am at the awkward stage of my spray tan where we got spray tans last week, you guys, just for like no real reason, just because we were going to be in L.A. And I'm at the part where it's like peeling off unevenly. Yeah. And so like that's like kind of awkward. But otherwise, I think it's going to be a look with my new dress that I got.

5:38I'm excited to wear it. I'm excited to dance with my friends and kind of let loose. I feel like I just I need the weekend right now. What about you, Christy? I feel that. But that's the hard thing with being a woman and getting a spray tan is always needing to configure your week and your calendar to when you got the spray tan. And I feel like you would feel so much better in photos when they're taken if you're fully even. I feel like you should get a spray tan later today or like this morning. I'm too lazy. I'm too, and I don't have time. I do not have time. I have to, but it's, it's like fine.

6:11It's not the end of the world. Um, and also the awkward thing with, I got my nails done last week. They're looking pretty good other than one finger. So I bought what I thought was like a close enough color to paint that pick that finger. And it looks like, I think on camera, actually, it looks pretty similar, but you can see it's this finger. It's like bright red and the rest of my nails are like a darker red. But you guys, whatever, we'll make it work. Yeah. Well, I'm really excited to see you in that dress because it's actually stunning. But yeah, Sophie did some really good research, you guys, for this episode.

6:48And what even prompted us to do a Kylie's Disappearing Brands? Like, was it just kind of like an idea you came up with and what triggered that? We were talking about, I'm pretty sure it was when Jordan and I actually did DET, and we were talking about the Kardashians disappearing animals, and also their disappearing. I think we were talking about how Kim Kardashian's skincare line just quietly shuttered earlier this summer. And then I was like, what the fuck? All their brands just quietly shutter? They don't like say anything. I know that it's like a failure. They're not saying anything because they don't want to acknowledge that their brand was a flop.

7:23But it's still just interesting how this brand can be promoted one day and then just they act like it doesn't exist the next. And yeah, so there are a lot of disappearing brands just among the entire Kardashian family, disappearing animals across the board. But we are going to focus on Kylie. And also, speaking of Kylie, she just posted on Instagram. We were talking a few weeks ago about how we hadn't seen her mini greyhounds in a while, Norman and Bambi and the rest of the crew. And she just posted on Instagram yesterday, happy birthday, King Norman, or whatever she said. We received so many DMs of people like, Kylie is a baby snark.

7:59And obviously, the probability of that is what percent, do you think, of her being a baby snark? I would say like maybe 0.8%. I think that's a really good odds. Yeah, that's fair. Like, I'm not going to rule it out entirely. It's not likely, but like, I'm not going to rule it out. Yeah. When I used to be a listener of the Toast, they were convinced delusionally so that Kylie was a listener. And they were saying, oh, we have, you know, eyes and ears on the ground of people that are working with her and that have told us that she listens. But so I guess what I'm saying is not that we are the Toast level of fame, but it's not outside the realm of possibility that she could perhaps be listening.

8:41That she could have stumbled upon it. Yeah. So Kylie, if you're listening, watch her like be a patron, like under a pseudonym. Yeah. But I want to ask you first, Christy, I see that you wrote down that you had purchased Kylie Lipkits back in the day. What did you think of them? You know, I love myself a celebrity brand. And I remember in 2016, 2017, when they were all the craze, they would count down on Instagram when they would go live on the website, and then it would crash. Like so many people were trying to get their hands on this. And this is such a 2016 nostalgia. I see a lot of this on TikTok right now where people are reminiscing about the glory that was 2016.

9:20Yes, and in love the song, that girl is a real crowd. Yes! It's like, da-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na-na. The chokers, the lace-up tops. Like, it was such a time. The green jackets, the bomber jackets, the Adidas. Like, that was such a time. It reminds me so vividly of, like, this point in my life. But whenever I think of that era, I think of Kylie Lip Kits and I think of just the obsession that was Kylie Jenner. And people are still obsessed with her, but people often are nostalgic about the King Kylie era that is definitely paired with Kylie cosmetics and when I feel like it was at its peak. But yes, I purchased, I think, two colors.

10:02And this was when the matte look was very in. So obviously trends evolve and it's very much not in nearly a decade later, which is crazy to say that 2016 was almost a decade ago. That's scary. My mind cannot comprehend that because to me I was just living it. But I look back at pictures. I don't have to find it and I can post it to the Patreon. But my lips looked so dry, so crusty. I feel like I didn't know how to apply the lip liner. or like, oh my God, it literally brings a chill on my spine. Yeah. So I actually, I never bought it, but I borrowed someone's and used it. And I remember it was so drying.

10:37It was just crusty. And that was, I probably have a picture. I actually know I have a picture on my Instagram back in the day of me wearing it. But that was very much like the look. Like you said, it was like the baddie, the cut crease eyeshadow, like the really, really, really heavy makeup was the vibe back then. And obviously, what am I thinking about, by the way? You're thinking of Simon Monjack. Simon Monjack. Oh, here. I remember this night I wore. I'm trying to find a picture of myself, too. This was me wearing. Literally, I had that same exact color. No, I literally that's perfect representation.

11:14And, you know, what I actually thought was so cool was Skyli, the light blue. Like she, this was the time when Kylie was wearing the different hair colors and just, it was just such a fun era. So I guess let's get into kind of the background of Kylie Cosmetics and then we will go brand by brand. Kylie Cosmetics, as we know, is still around today. Obviously, it has not the same popularity as it did when it first launched, but it was idiotated in 2014. That's when it was technically founded. But it was officially launched on November 30th, 2015. As we know now, the original products were lip kits, like we said, and they were an instant smash success and sold out immediately.

12:01And the marketing strategy was actually great. I remember also like this was like when I was at my first job after college. Like I remember this era in my life and we were talking about, you know, King Kylie at work. Like we were like, she's so cool. She had, like I said, the different hair colors, the crazy lip colors and these huge lips. And just she had a glow up in general. Like she just looked so hot, so cool. Like she was just the it girl. Yeah. She hadn't copped to getting her lips injected yet. As we know now, obviously she did. But basically everyone wanted to be her. And I will give her credit for having one of the earliest celebrity beauty brands.

12:42I checked all of the dates of when these celebrity brands launched. She launched Kylie Cosmetics before Fenty by Rihanna. That's crazy to me. House Labs. Yeah. House Labs by Lady Gaga, Rem by Ariana Grande, or obviously Road by Hailey Bieber. And that's the most recent one. You know, even at the time, even though the products would sell out again and again and again, the quality of the products had been called into question a lot. Specifically, it was exposed that they were manufactured at the same manufacturer as ColourPop, yet they were marked up significantly higher. Yeah. Which, by the way, I'm curious.

13:19I feel like you would know this. I feel like makeup brands in general are made in the same manufacturing companies. I feel like Patrick Ta and all these big brands, they're just made of the same shit as probably Maybelline. Do you think that? Honestly, probably, yeah. It's more so like the branding. Maybe some of the ingredients are more higher end. The packaging. But overall, there isn't a huge difference, in my opinion, between drugstore makeup and your high-end makeup at Sephora, which is why I think it's crazy that Louis Vuitton is dropping, did you see this? Dropping lipsticks that cost$160.

13:54They're launching their first ever beauty brand. $160 lipsticks. It's just absurd. Yeah. I remember when we were getting our makeup done for LA, we were talking with the makeup artists, and they're like, honestly, yeah, the e.l.f. lip liners. Kelly, your makeup artist, was saying$2 a pop, and it's literally the same as Makeup by Mario. That's like$26 a pop. Yes, yes. Yes. And she gave me that lip liner to keep and I still like have it and use it. Yeah. And love it. But yeah, totally. So Kylie Cosmetics eventually expanded beyond lip kits to brow products, powder palettes, etc. And in my opinion, this was the brand's downfall.

14:35I think it kind of like diluted the brand. And you could argue that, you know, that's just what a beauty brand does. Like they're obviously going to extend their offering. But I think, in my opinion, and I'm not an expert. I have worked in marketing and the retail industry for a long time now. I think, in my opinion, like they should have just focused on doing one thing rate, which is the lip kits. And I think as soon as the what's the word, the scarcity marketing no longer worked because their lip kits weren't selling out anymore. That was the other the other thing that kind of got them. because I think the hype was all about the scarcity of it, how everything would sell out immediately.

15:17I was part of it. I was literally waiting on the website for it to drop. And then within, again, two minutes, it was gone. But that's such a good point. And I feel like if you juxtapose that with Hailey Bieber's Road, she came out with just the, which I have right here, actually, the lip peptide. The lip peptides. And then it was kind of expanded into blushes. And now it's a little bit into skincare. But she doesn't have the whole gamut of makeup under the hood. It's almost overwhelming as a consumer because there's like that study where people say that when you're at a grocery store and there's like four jams and you try jams at Whole Foods, you're far more likely to buy a jam if the quantity of selection is less versus if there's 12 jams, you become overwhelmed with choice paralysis.

16:00Choice paralysis. Exactly. Yeah. Totally. Totally. I think Hailey Bieber with Rode, that's a perfect example, is that it's been like a slow roll where she rolls out these different offerings. And it's not just like all at once. It's like, OK, we have brows now. We have foundation. We have eyeshadow. It's just like too much. And I also I wrote this down later in my notes. But I think where Kylie also went wrong with not only Kylie Cosmetics, but the rest of the Kylie brands is that she named everything after herself. Like, I think with Hailey Bieber and Rihanna and all of these other celebrities, like, they named their brands something related to them with Hailey, it's her middle name, Rode.

16:38You wouldn't necessarily know that, though, if you were, like, shopping in a store. Same with House Labs by Lady Gaga, Fenty. Obviously, we know that Fenty is, you know, related to Lady Gaga or Rihanna, I mean. But you wouldn't, like, the average consumer in middle America might not immediately know that. And so your products can stand alone, regardless of whatever controversies the celebrity in question has. So I think the fact that Kylie, everything is named after Kylie and has her face plastered all over everything, was actually not a good move by her. Because it's too tied to her own personal brand and her own controversies, of which there are many.

17:20Yeah. And even the products itself, Kylie Liner, everything is so intertwined with the Kardashian brand. And I think maybe that's also to your point. It's a detriment. Yes. And if there's one thing about the Kardashians, they're controversial. People love to hate the Kardashians. People are not going out of their way to support a Kardashian brand. And I think where Skims got it right is that, yeah, it's tangentially, like it has the words Kim in it, But like, it's not always just about Kim Kardashian. Actually, it rarely is. She is always having shoots with other spokespeople and other models and other celebrities and has really made it just its own thing that's bigger than her.

18:00And that's, I think, a big reason why Skims is successful, in my opinion, is that it's not just, oh, I'm buying Kim Kardashian underwear. Like, it's not called, like, she could have called it Kim K undies, and she didn't. Yeah. Wait, even when you just saying, mentioning that Skims has a name Kim in it, it didn't even register to me. That's how detached Skims is from her name. Yeah. And I think that I think that was a very, very, very smart move by them by making it its own separate entity and not Kardashian. Same with Good American. People love I know lots of people in my life that buy Good American.

18:32Yeah. That buy Skims. Yeah. Including you. You have said multiple times that you love Skims. I say that I, you know, I buy Skims dupes from Amazon. I literally type in Skims dupes. But either way, I know lots of people that support those brands because they don't have Kardashian branding all over them. I think that's a big part of why. So Kylie Cosmetics was sold to Kodi on November 18th, 2019. They purchased a 51 % stake in the company for$600 million, valuing Kylie Cosmetics at$1.2 billion. And this is around the time that everyone's like, Kylie's a billionaire. And then Forbes eventually walked back those claims that she's a billionaire.

19:09Either way, she's worth a lot of money because of this deal. And as we know now, Kylie Cosmetics is still around today, albeit with way more competition with these celebrity beauty brands that I mentioned before, House Labs, Rode, Rem, Fenty, etc. And I've seen it. I've seen them definitely ramp up their like PR boxes to influencers. I've seen a lot of influencers open them on social media. I was just shopping at Ulta the other day. They have the whole Kylie Cosmetics. Again, it's plastered with Kylie's face at Ulta. Generally, it's not a super popular makeup brand as far as I can see it. It definitely, like I said, doesn't have the same viral success it once had when it first launched.

19:54I mean, like when people are shopping for makeup, I don't know a lot of people that are like, I am going straight to the Kylie Cosmetics section. People are going to Charlotte Tilbury or they're going to, I don't know, Too Faced, Tarte. Westman Atelier, Ilya. Yeah. Right. What do you think? You know what's interesting is when I think of celebrity makeup brands in the 2020s, it reminds me of the perfume wave when we were in the early 2000s. Britney Spears is curious. J-Lo. Yeah, Paris Hilton. Everyone had a— At TJ Maxx. Yes. And, like, they still exist, but it's always at TJ Maxx or Marshalls, like, in the back.

20:27Yes. Yeah, what's up with that? This is such a good point. And I wrote this down. So I wrote down about how, you know, the branding of it all and the fact that it's plastered with Kylie's face. It feels embarrassing to buy. Yes. It's like you're buying a Kardashian product named after a person. And I said it feels cheap and tacky like buying Parasalt and perfume on TJ Maxx in 2008. Like, that's literally how it feels. Whereas like, Good American isn't Khloe Jeans. No. You know, like, it just it feels embarrassing. Right. Like when I think of just the product placement in stores and in retail. Like when I was at Nordstrom's last week, I saw Skims alongside all the other like lingerie and it's very like not Kim or Good Americans by like Paige or Hudson jeans.

21:11It's very just kind of like subtly there versus Kylie. There's a full wall with her face and it just feels in your face and almost it's almost embarrassing sometimes when you're at Ulta and I just want to like check it out because I'm just celebrity obsessed, right? And I'm almost like, who's looking at me as I'm looking at this blush? I'm plotting it on my hand, And, you know, it almost, to your point, feels embarrassing because it is so glaringly a Kardashian brand. Yes. And I think they miscalculated how much people love Kylie. I think, you know, back in the day, like we said, she was the it girl in 2015, 2016.

21:42It's a decade later. She is not seen as like, you know, the super, super, super aspirational, cool it girl anymore. Yeah, she's, you know, she's always going to be kind of like this icon and this huge celebrity. She's freaking dating Timothee Chalamet. She's still relevant. But like, I think, you know, she hasn't captured the zeitgeist the same way she did during the King Kylie era. So I think it's really a marketing miscalculation on many levels. It's kind of a well-known thing at this point that sports bras are so hard to shop for. They're either uncomfortable, hard to put on, too tight, not supportive enough, or ugly.

23:24And when was the last time you upgraded your outdoor furniture situation? Wayfair is your one-stop shop for outdoor seating, grills, appliances, patio lighting, storage, rugs, decor, you name it. Everything you need to make your outdoor area the best seat in the house. We only have an itty-bitty balcony in New York City, but thanks to Wayfair, we made the most of our tiny space with a perfect little bistro set and twinkle lights. I'm so excited it's finally warm enough to use it again. My favorite thing to do during the warm weather months is have coffee and breakfast out there with Baxter on sunny mornings.

23:53It's my favorite start to the day and it wouldn't be possible without my Wayfair furniture. I also really appreciate that Wayfair has installation and assembly services because outdoor furniture can be heavy and intimidating to assemble. It makes the experience truly seamless and stress-free. But my favorite part about Wayfair, you don't have to take out a freaking loan or remortgage your house just to make your space as gorgeous as possible. Especially if you, like me, are not in your forever home yet and you don't want to slurge on major investment pieces. I love how affordable everything at Wayfair is.

24:23Patio season is here and these deals won't last. Head to Wayfair.com right now to get your outdoor space ready for way less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R.com. Wayfair, every style, every home. I unfortunately have had very bad shaving experiences, from red bumps and ingrown hairs to cuts and razor burn. But just because I'm a hairy Jewish girl does not mean I have to settle for a horrible shaving experience. And as soon as I discovered Flamingo, I realized I don't have to suffer any longer. Seriously, I've been a fan of Flamingo since before they became a podcast sponsor. With Flamingo, my leg shaving experience is smooth, gentle, and luxurious, not bumpy, rough, and painful.

Read the full transcript

25:03Also, the shave is so close. I used to immediately feel stubble after getting out of the shower. Literally, I'm not exaggerating. It was immediate. And now, just silky smoothness. Flamingo razors feel like they're working with my body and the contours of my legs instead of against them, and it makes all the difference. Finally, shaving is a ritual I enjoy rather than dread. The best part about Flamingo, these razors are made for women by women. These aren't men's razors made pink. They're specifically designed for girlies like us to be able to easily grip and use. Their starter set has everything you could possibly need.

25:36Flamingo's original razor, a facial dermaplane razor, my personal favorite, foaming shave gel, and a shower holder. All for just$7 if you're a baby snark. Yes, you heard that right. And shipping is free. This is not a drill. For a limited time, our listeners can get the Flamingo's starter set for only$7 at shopflamingo.com slash snark. The set includes the Flamingo original razor, one five-blade cartridge, a one-ounce foaming shave gel, and a shower holder. Just head to shopflamingo.com slash snark to claim this offer. And after you purchase, they'll ask where you heard about them. Please support our show and tell them we sent you.

26:12And okay, let's move on to Kylie Skin because that is what came next. So Kylie Skin was launched on May 22nd, 2019 with a line including cleansers, scrubs, moisturizers, makeup wipes. Did you ever buy Kylie Skin? That's one thing I did not buy. No. So it obviously felt like the natural next step to Kylie Cosmetics. Like you have all this makeup. What are you going to wash it off with? Kylie skin, duh. I think it failed, like I said, to capture the zeitgeist like Kylie Cosmetics did. It was 2019. It's like the Kardashians were kind of slipping in relevancy a little bit. Even back then, Kylie was known for her lips.

26:48You know, that's why the lip kits were so successful. Was she known for having like great skin? Like she has not bad skin, but like not like Hailey Bieber. I feel like Hailey Bieber is known for that like glazed donut glowy look. With Kylie, it's like, are we looking at Kylie for skin advice? Probably not. It also felt like cash grabby, like a lot of these brands do, obviously. At this point, you know, she's worth hundreds of millions of dollars. We know that she is using Barbra Sturm, La Mer, the most expensive facials and treatments on the planet. We all know she's not actually using Kylie's skin.

27:20Whereas, you know, you could actually argue that she is using Kylie Cosmetics. She likes her makeup products. She's not freaking using that garbage on her skin. come on. Yeah. And I noticed that anytime I watch a TikTok video of her or real of her, she's been doing a lot with like Stormi, like get ready with Stormi and me. And she does make it a point to be like, I'm using my Kylie blush or my eyeliner, but I never see her hawking her products on her own skin. Oh, totally. So I actually noticed that you can tell if a brand is no longer really a Kardashian, not even a priority, like just not even a Kardashian real asset anymore when Kris Jenner takes it out of her bio.

28:04So Kris Jenner has, let's go to her bio really fast so we can read off all of the brands that she has listed in her bio. And these are the ones that she cares about. She has Skims, Kai, Kylie Cosmetics, CloudFoods, which is Khloe's protein popcorn brand, Skin, which she needs to take out because that's shuttered. Drink 818. Drink Sprinter. And that's Kylie's like drink brand, I guess. But it's not even Kylie's brand, Sprinter. It's like she's an investor in it. Poosh, Arthur George. Remember Arthur George? Good American. Get safely. And then Kardashian Sulu. The last post on Arthur George Instagram was in 2020.

28:46Can you hear me? Yeah. Yeah. No, I know. Arthur George, I think she feels bad for Rob, so she keeps it in the bio. But so Kylie Skin still technically exists. It is on the Kylie Cosmetics website still. You can still buy those products. It's no longer in Kylie's Instagram bio either. And the brand hasn't posted on Instagram, on the Kylie Skin Instagram since June 29th, 2025. Kylie promoted the brand's lip butter in June of this year also. I thought the lip butter was Kylie Cosmetics, but I guess technically it falls under Kylie's skin. Yeah, me too. I thought it was cosmetics. It's still up and running on the website.

29:28You can order on the website, on Kylie Cosmetics, I mean. But it's safe to say it's not really a smashing success. Never really was as far as I can see it. This is a flash in the pan. I feel like this didn't even get traction whatsoever, however, similar to this next one, which is iconic, an iconic downfall. Like what? Yes. So Kylie Swim is kind of my Roman empire. Like this was a crazy moment in time because the brand, this was like the fastest brand to like open and then shut immediately. So it was launched on September 17th, 2021 and was immediately panned, not only for the designs, people were like, what the fuck is this?

30:12Like the bathing suits were ugly. But then when people ordered them, they all did TikTok reviews saying the quality was poor. The fabric was see-through. The bottoms barely covered people's vaginas. Like I think that all of the Kardashians have gotten some sort of, what's it called? Labioplasty probably to make their vaginas smaller because they don't wear normal, like normal vaginas don't, like we need more fabric than this. Like a vaginal rejuvenation type of procedure because, yes, the fabric does not fit most women's genitalia or whatever. Genitalia? Whatever you want to call it. I don't know.

30:49So people were ripping it apart immediately, like I said. And instead of addressing kind of the concerns or apologizing for the quality issues, they never said anything. They just quietly stopped existing after only a few weeks. The Instagram has actually been completely erased. Stop. It still exists, just no posts on it. And I remember like they stopped posting like back in 2021. Dude, I remember when she was the campaign for this and everyone was very excited because, as you mentioned, Kylie Baby, not really like genuine or aligned with kind of Kylie and who she is. Kylie Swim at that time in 2021, she was still kind of this baddie, you know, posing thoughty photos, a swimwear line is totally aligned with who she is and could have been incredibly successful.

31:39And the fact that it just vanished off the face of this earth and the quality was so bad, like this was a huge missed opportunity, in my opinion. Oh, a huge missed opportunity because there was such there's an opportunity there. Yes. Like she has the platform. She has the resources. I feel like everyone is always looking for more swimsuits, in my opinion. Actually, speaking of swimsuits, though, she has that line with Frankie's bikinis now. Have you seen that? It's like a collab with Kai. Right. Yeah. Exactly. It's like, yeah, it's a collaboration. Yeah, it's a collab. But like, I'm always looking for, I have enough bikinis.

32:10My bikini drawer is like overflowing, but like I always am buying more because I don't know. I feel like that's like just a girl thing. Like we're always looking for more bathing suits. Like, is it just me? I will never be satisfied with the amount of bathing suits I have. So I think this was an amazing opportunity that like she obviously squandered and she just abandoned it immediately. And instead of, you know, taking in the feedback and addressing it or going back to the drawing board, she just gave up on it, which was crazy. And you guys, I'm going to fact check myself. So Kylie does, Kylie is one of the founders of Sprinter, which is that canned vodka.

32:44Yes. Which it's like a high noon. It's everyone's doing it. It's like sit marks. Everyone's doing it. Yeah. I feel like it's not even like a passion project. It's just like a here you go. No, it's literally like perfume in 2000s, makeup in early 2020s, and now it's a hard seltzer. Yeah, it's just like, okay. Everyone, like, I'm thinking of The Toast, you know, High Noons, Dave Portnoy's Brain Ambassador. Everyone does this shit. Oh, my God. Yeah. I'm reading more about the sprinter of it all. Okay. What are you finding? Like, that it was, it was founded with a group of, like, distributors and people that worked in the spirit industry.

33:21So it's not like a solely Kylie brand, but she is one of the founders. Got it. Okay. Have you tried Sprinter? That's one I have not gotten my hands on, no. Yeah, it's one of those things where she clearly just slapped her name on it. At least I feel like Kendall is passionate about tequila. Maybe if you had a business you were passionate about. I think that she is passionate about her business. No, I 100 % agree. She loves it. I think that Kylie has diluted her brand so much by trying to do too many things. And I wrote this down. I feel like around this time, and we haven't even gotten to Kylie Baby yet, which Kylie Baby, this is a good one.

34:00Yes. But I feel like they were trying to brand her as this like CEO, girl boss, world dominator. Yes. Like she was creating this massive empire when really like she was A, diluting her brand. It's better to do one thing. Like with the lip kits. It's better to do one thing really well than do a million things really shittily. And I think that what it comes down to more than her like actually being passionate about these businesses is her wanting to have like photo shoots of herself. Yes. Yes. I do think that every time I think of Kylie in her heyday, I think of that Forbes, obviously that magazine where they said she was a self-made billionaire.

34:39She got a lot of heat for that. But I recall, I don't know if it was the Forbes interview or a separate interview, but the interviewer was explaining that when she was interviewing Kylie, Chris was right beside her. And any time they asked a question about the business, Kylie would just freeze and she would kind of look to Chris. And that was kind of something that made a lot of headlines. And listen, I'm not saying that a 22-year-old will know the ins and outs of every business, but you should be prepared knowing that if you're going to be interviewed by Forbes to answer questions about the business.

35:07And the fact that Kylie was so reluctant to be able to answer these types of questions and instead look to Chris for every single one just shows a lack of professionalism and true understanding of like what makes your business successful. Again, I know that these people are not, you know, like what we were saying with Mary-Kate and Ashley, they seem to be very involved in the row and they actually are deeply involved in the operations. Yes, totally. Right. And like, I'm not saying that everyone needs to be the Olsen twins when it comes to their brands, but you should be prepared. Even if you don't know the answer, have someone coach you on how to speak.

35:37You should know what's kind of going on. Exactly. At least a little bit. And I mean, it makes sense. Like she was like 18, which we didn't mention. She was around 18 when Kylie Cosmetics launched. Like, do we think an 18 year old is like, OK, what are the business KPIs here? Like, no, like she doesn't. She I'm not too I'm not trying to like shame people who don't go to college, obviously. But she it's not like she went to business school. Sure. You know, and she was very, very, very young when all of these brands were founded. She was just the face of them. I think as the face, you should be responsible for knowing how knowing how to answer certain questions.

36:13Exactly. Exactly. So let's move on to Kylie Baby. This is another one of my favorites. Me too. So Kylie Baby was launched on September 18th, 2021, and it was a baby care line offering gentle and vegan shampoos, bubble bath, lotions, etc. for babies, obviously. And right away, people were like, this feels weird. Like, what are you doing, Kylie? Like, I think just right away, people are like, why? Why would we trust a Kardashian with the products that they are putting on their children? You know, it didn't feel really like on brand or even like a good idea at the time at all. It just was transparently a cash grab, I think.

36:52Do you remember the marketing campaign that they did for Kylie Baby? With Stormi? Yes. And like, I'm so, you and I, of course, would remember this. If we asked the normal person, everyone would be like, what are you talking about? I am so glad you remember this. Our brains think exactly the same. When they were on this like unicorn that was flying and they were in this castle. And then clouds. Clouds. Yeah. No, normal people like remember like memories and like, you know, memories of their loved ones, important things that they learned in school. No, you and I, we remember Kylie baby marketing campaign.

37:23Too much real estate in this brain. Useless fucking shit like that. Yes. But she did get I'm so glad you brought that up because she did get a lot of backlash for using Stormy so heavily in the marketing materials. and Stormy was around like three at the time I want to say because Stormy was born in 2018 so she was around three years old but yeah people were like you are of course exploiting your child you are trying to prey on people who just are like oh my god Kardashian fangirls like I'm just gonna buy whatever the Kardashians put out even though like what the fuck is this that you are putting on your child it's like I don't know it just felt so icky and again it was branded with Kylie, Kylie, Kylie, Kylie.

38:06And it's like, what kind of mom is like, hey, like children have very sensitive skin. I am only going to put the best on their skin. So I'm going to get a Kardashian brand. No one is doing that. That's actually such a good point that I didn't even think of as, I was going to say as a mother. No, like if I were, if I were a mother, I'm going for OG brands. And I know there's been like a lot of talk about, okay, Johnson & Johnson is filled with a bunch of, I don't know enough about that, so I don't claim to be an expert, but just at a high level, I would want to go for more OG brands that have been trusted for decades.

38:40Yes. Like, I'm not going to go and put all my baby sensitive skin Kylie Baby Cream barrier butter. Like, give me a break. Glazing milk. Yeah. Like, who's—and really quick, I want to know which of the baby snarks on the Patreon, if you guys remember the marketing materials from Kylie Baby. Because if it's as ingrained as it is in your brain, as it is for Sophie and I, you're in the right place. You're one of us. One of us. Also, like, let us know if you've purchased from any of these brands and what your experience was. I will say that Jessica Alba with Honest Company, I know that people love Honest.

39:16I mean, it's made Jessica Alba a billionaire. She doesn't need to act anymore. Like, she is a billionaire now because of it. It's been a very successful brand. I know people love that brand for their kids. Even though her Oscar-worthy movie, Honey. That was a great movie. No, like the way that movie used to be one of my favorite movies with Lil Bow Wow. No, Lil Romeo. Excuse me. Lil Romeo. Get it right. Oh, my God. Loved Lil Romeo in that film. I mean, that was a missed opportunity for him to win that Oscar. Honestly, like it's it's so good. They were snubbed. They were snubbed. Like that movie.

39:46That's another shark bait coated movie. Yeah, we should do a Patreon walk party with that. It's like time for we haven't done a movie night in a while. Like, yeah, for one. Okay, so Kylie Baby is also no longer in Chris or Kylie's bios, unsurprisingly. But it's still around. Barely. So Kylie Baby hasn't posted on Instagram in more than a year. Their last Instagram post was July 3rd, 2024. Tons of comments saying, is this brand out of business now? They don't seem to be developing products anymore. It's still up on the Kylie Cosmetics website. No, it is. Well, you can't buy the product. So it's on the Kylie Cosmetics site, but the only products you can buy, there is a Kylie baby label.

40:27The only products you can buy are hooded bath towels, hairbrushes, and travel cases. Wait, you're right. There's five products on this. Yeah. And they're all, you know, like I said, hairbrushes, travel cases, things that you don't need to develop, like products that don't need to be regulated. They're not developing new Kylie baby products anymore. It's just kind of merch. Wait, you just went out. If you guys are watching as a business runner. Yeah, the cover photo. The cover, yeah, the cover photo is the lotions, the barrier butters, the glazing milks. The glazing milks. So yeah, the banner or cover photo of the Kylie Baby section of the website is still like those products, but you can't buy them anymore.

41:07So again, it's clear that this brand was not a smashing success. It's basically out of business. You can buy Kylie Baby merch, like we said, the, you know, travel cases, brushes, whatever. But like, it's just so weird not to address it. Like, like I said, I get that it's clearly a failure. It's a flop. It's not a business that has been successful or they want to keep promoting because not enough people were buying it. But it's probably so confusing for the few people that were fans of the brand. I'm sure there were like a few at least that were like, I love these products. I swear by them. My baby loves them.

41:42And then the brand just like goes out of business and they don't say anything. Right, right. It's so weird. Like normal businesses don't do that. When normal businesses shut down, they address it and they're like, hey, guys, we're going out of business on this date. Right. We're having like a warehouse sale where you can just buy the last of our stock. It's been an amazing few years, blah, blah, blah. But they just disappear these brands. Right. I just went to Reddit and I just typed in Kylie Baby and someone's just like, it's hiding along with Kylie Swim in the Bermuda Triangle. Yeah. Overpriced garbage.

42:15Yeah. I'm just so curious if there's any folks on here that have used it and actually liked it. Yeah. And again, it's just so clear that it was a cash grab. And again, just the Kylie name, the Kylie brand has been so diluted because of all these cash grabs. I don't know what they were thinking. I think maybe their thinking was, let's just make some quick cash. But in the long run, And these were all such bad moves. Again, making everything so heavily Kylie branded was a bad move. Just all of it just seems so not well thought out at all. Like, it's so confusing to me, like, why they made these moves.

42:58And that's why when people act like Kris Jenner, obviously, the devil works hard. Kris Jenner works harder. She is a marketing genius in a lot of ways. I think that they really flubbed the Kylie of it all because she could have been potentially. I know this is crazy to say she could have been like the next Estee Lauder. No, I don't disagree. I think that the trajectory of her career was so vast and they they fumbled before it could even get to the peak. Exactly. And it's yeah, like if anything, they should have just focused on Kylie Cosmetics, which, like we said, was the biggest initial success.

43:33And yeah, now it's like everything has been diluted. The name has been diluted. the brand, just everything about it, they flop. I've been a diehard TaskRabbit stan long before they were a sponsor. I cannot remember the last time I moved without enlisting a tasker, whether it was for assembling furniture, mounting a TV, hanging artwork or shelves, the list goes on. And it's not just during a move where your to-do list can feel like it's 10 pages long. Sometimes I really just need an extra hand for those little things I feel like I never end up getting around to myself, like hanging the collage wall I promised myself I'd do for months.

Okay, so as for the next brand, Kai. So Kai was announced on October 24th, 2023 and launched on November 1st, 2023. The description from its website is, Kai aims to redefine the modern wardrobe by offering edited collections that seamlessly blend luxury with everyday style, spanning a diverse range of categories and styles.

48:47By collaborating with iconic brands and global designers, we hope that Kai will be a platform that delivers access to incredible fashion for everyone. Yeah, I love what you put here. A lot of InstaBaddy clothing that would only look good on Kylie. Very tight, very fitted, basic, etc. Very skims adjacent. You're so right. When she wears the clothes, obviously they tailor it so that it's perfect to her proportions. Like, it's not just off the rack. Yes, exactly. I could never wear anything like this. And I will say one time I saw Alex Earl wearing the red dress with like that little, what's that thing that on the side?

49:21Like asymmetrical dress that had the little like shoulder thing. Yeah. Alex Earl looked so good in it. But I was like, unless you have no fat on your fupa, I would never wear this. Like ever. It's also like so, yes, exactly. And also like their statement about like luxury with everyday size. It's all buzzwords. Like none of it means anything. Yeah. And it doesn't give luxury at all. It looks very cheap. It looks like Fashion Nova. But the prices are really high. So like a pair of cotton spandex fold over shorts. Again, like these are all like the pieces might look cute, especially on Alex Earl.

49:59You buy them from Amazon. Again, like if I want something from Skims, I type Skims dupe on Amazon. But a pair of cotton spandex blend fold over shorts,$92. There is no reason that should be$92. A cotton spandex catsuit,$248. So the prices are very steep for what it actually is. Right, right. And it is interesting how Skims adjacent it is because they're all like very tight basics. You know, there are kind of like bras, like cotton bras, undergarments, and just a lot of like Skims. Skims is known for having this very like just wardrobe basics aesthetic. Everything is just basic, basic, basic. Monochromatic.

50:44Monochromatic, not in a bad way. Like Skims has done very, very, very well for what it is. But I'm very surprised at how similar the Kai aesthetic is to Skims. Like it's not different at all. And I think Kylie, like, again, there's so much opportunity there to do something different. Like to do something interesting. Like you have all the fucking resources in the world. You have the platform. Why are you just doing the same shit that Skims is doing? Yeah, and I'm trying to go on Skims right now just to see, like, what would a t-shirt, like a very basic t-shirt be in comparison to Kylie? So there's, like, this sleek stretch, that twisted top that is, like, the beginning of her line.

51:25$53, but originally it was$83. They had to mark it down. Right, exactly, because no one's buying this shit. No one's buying it. and okay sorry i'm just trying to go on the skims website the a t-shirt is why is it showing it in taiwanese dollars i don't know what's going on oh the last time you looked at it was were you in taiwan yeah okay so 53 so it's basically like 53 us dollars for the basic t-shirt on skims compared to that twisty top originally 88 but now has been marked down to 53 which is the exact price of a skims t-shirt so like it originally was even more expensive than skims crazy crazy And there's no reason for that.

52:06And also, again, like I understand that a lot of people love skims. A lot of people have gone back again and again. And I think that's the secret with celebrity brands also, is that like your name will only get you that first time purchase. People are only going to return as customers if the product is good. And I think that's where Ariana Grande and Rem has not done well, because every review I've seen of Rem is that the makeup is not great versus House Labs by Lady Gaga. that. Olivia, a researcher, swears by House Labs. And it's not just because she's a little monster. Like, it's not just because she loves Lady Gaga.

52:41Yeah, I didn't put that together. The makeup, the products are good. And I think that's, again, where Kylie brands have really flopped, is that the quality is just not there. And especially for these prices, and especially for these, like, basic-ass Fashion Nova designs. Again, it's just more BBL fashion. And I think that like Kylie went through a little bit of like a cottagecore era. She's still in it. She's still kind of in it, like wearing like, you know, Doin adjacent like sundresses. And I think it's like the Timothee Chalamet of it all. It's like, oh, I'm in the French countryside with Timmy.

53:12So I'm wearing, you know, a floral maxi dress or whatever it is. I think that like a cottagecore type brand of really high quality, because that is like very, very, very in right now. And I don't even think it's just a trend. I think that it's timeless. I think that that's like a very timeless aesthetic. I think that's why, like I said, Doin is super successful. And even though those products are on the higher end, they do their aesthetic very well and it's very unique and it's hard to find those products anywhere else. Right. Versus like these fucking basic ass, like skims, spandex shit. You can find all of it on Amazon.

53:49I swear to God, like you can find it so easily on Amazon for a fraction of the cost. Like, that's why it's so it's disappointing. Like, I'm disappointed. We were all rooting for you. Yeah. And I think it's she had, as we just mentioned, like such a good path for she could have made even another billion dollars, I'm sure. Yeah. But with every brand that she continues to push out, it dilutes, it dilutes, it dilutes until it basically is just like water. And you're like, I don't even what are what is your brand? Because if you think about what Kylie's brands are, there's so many bubbles that pop up above your head.

54:22Like, okay, is it Kylie Swim? Is it Kylie Cosmetics? Is it Sprinter? Is it Kylie? Like, it's overwhelming versus when I think of Kim Kardashian, I'm like, skimps. When I think of Khloe, good American. It's overwhelming. Choice paralysis. No, totally, totally agree. And yeah, I mean, as for the reviews that Kylie has gotten, unsurprisingly, they've been very mixed. And I don't know. Like I've seen like influencers like either get gifted Kai or post it or buy it. Either way, I don't know anyone in my real life. Unlike, like I said, Skims or Good American that I know people genuinely buy. It's just like so annoying because again, imagine having all of the resources in the biggest, one of the biggest platforms in the world.

55:08Right. Right. There's no excuse for making shitty products. No, there's not. And I think when it comes down to it, the more I think about it, I think something about Kylie Jenner seems a little embarrassing. And it's not because I find her to be embarrassing herself. It's more of like any brand that she puts out almost feels embarrassing slash tacky. Whereas like, I don't feel embarrassed slash tacky, even though people hate Kim Kardashian probably just as much as they hate Kylie Jenner. People love Kim Kardashian as much as they love Kylie Jenner. It's not like Kim is necessarily more hated or loved than Kylie.

55:37It's more so that like it inherently feels embarrassing to wear anything Kylie branded. Yeah. And it's again because it's so heavily branded with her name and face, whereas Skims isn't. Yeah. It's just like, I don't know. Like with Kai, I would be surprised. Like this is her most recent brand other than Drink Sprinter. So this is her most recent brand. I would be surprised if it's around in five years. It seems like another cash grab. And what's interesting is that, you know, Kylie Cosmetics, Kylie Skin, Kylie Swim and Kylie Baby all came like one after the other. Like it was a very, you know, just like three out of those four brands pretty much doesn't exist anymore.

56:19The only brand that still exists from those original four is Kylie Cosmetics and now Kai and then also Drink Sprinter. Yeah. So Sprinter was actually launched in March 2024, offering four flavors, black cherry, peach, grapefruit and lime. And it's like a vodka soda using real fruit juice, no added sugar, 100 calories per can, 4.5 percent ABV. What is that? Alcohol? Yeah, it's like I think wine simply like around like 8 percent. Yeah. Excuse me, 13, 12 to 15. Sorry. And it uses the same distributor as Kendall's 818. ABV for high noon is also 4.5. So it's literally like a glorified high noon, a glorified.

57:02Exactly. Yeah. White Claw, truly. It's the same shit. Yeah, exactly. It actually, like at first, it was another one of those like early successes. It looks like they shipped 140 ,000 cases in its first month, which is obviously a strong indicator of like early demand. but since but since then like i've never seen anyone drinking it in the wild to be honest the only time i ever see kylie marketing it is when she's like at a college bar and her and kendall are passing out 818 shots in cans of sprinter yes oh my god you know or like or in vegas like genuinely that's the only time i've ever seen her hawk the product is when she's doing press and like looking super hot and like passing it to to people behind the bar yes exactly so yeah Kylie or Kendall and Kylie.

57:48What was I trying to say? Kylie and her, Kendall and Kylie together. Kendall and Kylie were going around to college campuses and like distributing their alcohol. Yeah. And that's an OG Kendall move. Like Kendall would do that often with 818. And I think Kylie just kind of attached herself to that marketing strategy and was like, let's just do it together and we'll get more people. So, yeah. And even like, again, it's like when I think of Kendall, I think of 818. Right. And it's just like, OK, she is very like I'm not saying that she like invented tequila. I've never had it. I've actually heard it's really gross.

58:22I heard it's disgusting. I have zero interest in trying it. I'm not trying to like applaud her for like slapping her name on like a tequila bottle. But again, it's like her one brand that I think that she actually like cares about. And it's what she primarily promotes on her social media other than brand partnerships. versus Kylie with her Kylie Cosmetics, now Kai, now Drink Sprinter. It's like she's doing it again. It's like you're just so all over the place. And I think that that's why Kim also had the foresight to shutter. I mean, it's not like it was like really her choice probably to shutter these brands.

58:58They were flops, but like skin, skincare. And then also KKW Beauty. Oh, yeah. People love that too. Did they? Yeah. I had the contour stick, but I didn't really know how to do my makeup, I feel like, back then. But like, it actually was like a pretty creamy. It reminded me of the Rare Beauty bronzer stick. It was good. You would. You would. You would. You fucking would. Station nightclub fire. No matter what you do, make sure it's on a strong stomach. I watched it. You would. I told Chris, if you guys haven't listened to that episode, I told Chris, I was like, please do not watch that video. And Chris was like, I watched it.

59:30And I was like, you would. Oh my God. It's not funny, obviously. It's not a laughing matter. It's like a tragedy. It's just our rhetoric was funny. Like you would. You fucking would. Like, Christy just never ceases to amaze me. But I think, like I was saying, is that Kim, even though she had those other brands, she had the wherewithal to shutter them to focus on her most successful one, which is Skims. And now Skims is, like, a billion-dollar company. It's extremely successful. I know plenty of people who hate the Kardashians that still swear by Skims. And that is, like, she unlocked, like, a really, really, really powerful thing there.

1:00:07Yeah. And I mean, also like Emma Grady, I think that like Emma Grady being involved with both Skims and Good American, like she she knows what's going on, because as far as I can see it, Emma Grady was not involved in any of Kylie's brands. Oh, that's a really good point. And another thing that I like about Skims is Kim actually practices what she preaches in terms of diversity and inclusion. Like Skims was hiring for like an accounting manager. I was just curious to see like what the salary range would be. And I was looking at it and looking at the website and looking at their like C-suite, many women, many women of color.

1:00:40Like I like that she kind of promotes like diversity inclusion in her brand because it's a serious damn business. And she has women like all up on that C-suite. I will give her props for that. And then obviously the marketing materials and the size inclusivity. Like we talked about when we were talking about like Daphne, Paige DeSorbo's pajama label and how the sizes only went up to XL. Oh, meanwhile, Skims goes up to like 3X or 5X or something like it's just and that's been from the get go. Right. So I will give her give her props for that. And let me just say that Emma Greedy. Yeah. The three brands that she is involved with when it comes to the Kardashians, other than Safely, which is Kris Jenner's, are Skims, Good American, and then also Kai.

1:01:26So she is involved with Kai. And I think that maybe that's why she was like Kylie. We need to change the branding a little bit, even though it's still Kai. It still has Kylie's name on it. It's not the same like Kylie clothes, you know, like everything else. Kylie found it. That was a flop. Right. But Emma Greedy, I think, clearly knows what she's doing. I don't know if that's going to save Kai, but I think that it's done pretty well for Good American Skims. And I think Safely. Like, I don't know. I'm not like, I don't pay attention to Safely as much as I pay attention to the fashion brands. Right.

1:01:59Have you bought Safely? No, no. I didn't even know that was a brand, shockingly, because, you know, I love a celebrity product, but I didn't even know. Oh my God, there's lore. There's actually lore with Safely. The lore is that it was originally founded in 2021 between Kris Jenner and Chrissy Teigen. And then Chrissy Teigen got canceled that year and she was kicked off of Safely so that it was just Kris Jenner's. Oh my God. Yeah. Oh, wow. Interesting. I wonder if they're so tight, Chrissy and the... I doubt it because Chrissy like is completely irrelevant now. I mean, in my opinion, And deservedly so because she said so many fucked up that maybe we need a Chrissy Teigen episode.

1:02:35Oh, my God. I don't know too much about Chrissy Teigen, honestly. Oh, I feel like I am a historian on Chrissy Teigen, unfortunately. And there is a lot. Unfortunately. Unfortunately. And there's a lot, a lot there. Oh, by the way, I just looked down at my phone just to like check the time. I posted my poke bowl from Bear Flag. And we forgot to mention this on our LA recap is that I flew into Orange County first. We went to Bear Flag, which is right by Christie's. Yeah. In Orange County or Laguna Niguel. Yeah. And it's so, it's this fresh ass, the most fresh fish of all time. So good. So fucking good.

1:03:17There's like seaweed in there too. They do like, they basically give you like a container of just the fish. Like you get a pokey, pokey. It's not like a pokey bowl where it's been all raining. Right, rice. Like rice and cucumbers. It's just the fish. And then you get a bag of chips in spicy mayo and you dip the chip. And this girl replied to my Instagram story. She was like my second cousin. She goes, I still dream of my pokey from Bear Flag. Could not relate to this more. I dream of it every day. I first had it in June. I thought about it every day. And then when Chrissy was like, let's get it.

1:03:47Let's get it again. Like before we drive to LA, I was like, oh my God. Yeah. I'm so glad you said that. Sophie texted me yesterday. She goes, we're like craven bear flag right now. I said it exactly like that. In fact, she voice noted me just like that. I'm craven bear flag right now. Am I right? It's crazy. It's so good. Because like everyone was like, Sophie has a valley girl voice. I'm like, what do you mean? She gives me Carl Radke voice. I don't know like what that's about. I don't fucking know either. Like your voice does not sound like that, but it's evolved. into. No, I know. Like, no, what I'm telling you, like, I give voices to all my friends.

1:04:26Like, I make my best friend Michelle sound like an Asian fob, like fresh off the boat. She speaks English perfectly. I make her sound like a Chinese fresh off the boat. And everyone's like, dude, that's fucking offensive. Like, no, that's how we greet each other. Like, it's like, oh, ML, how are you doing? Like, that's how she talks to me. But everyone's like, why are you being so racist? I'm like, no, it's just the way it's more of an aura. She's not a fob. It's an aura. So my aura is talking like this. Am I right? I guess so. I guess so. How's it going? Hey. Hey, how's it going? How's it going, guys?

1:04:58Not a problem at all. It's not a problem at all. It's not a problem. Okay, guys, that about wraps up today's Patreon episode. I would love to know what Kylie brands or any Kardashian brands you have purchased, what your thoughts on them are, what your experiences with them were. Let us know. Again, like I'm very fascinated by all this. I think what's most fascinating to me about these disappearing brands, and I've seen people say, like, what are you even talking about? Like, who cares? Like, clearly the brands flop. My point is, when a brand flops, they usually address the fact that the brand is shutting down instead of just ghosting their customers.

1:05:36But the thing with Kylie is because she has so many fucking brands, they just assume we're going to forget. Like, because if Skim shut down, I mean, that's a different story. But like, she has so many that it's like, oh, it's just we don't know because there's too many to keep track of. You think that if you take it out of your Instagram bio, we're just going to forget? Sophie and I certainly will not. No, we will not forget. Obviously not. But yeah, I am not discounting the fact that there are definitely people who enjoyed these brands, which makes it all the more interesting that they just decided to one day cease production and ghost their customers.

1:06:11So I don't know. I'm very interested in all of these. I think there a lot more Kardashian brands overall that have disappeared. But in terms of Kylie, this about covers it. So yeah, let us know which Kylie or Kardashian brands you guys have bought before. And thank you so much for being here. We love you guys. Anything else, Christy? No. You did a really good job walking us through. And we will see you guys tomorrow for a really, really juicy deep dive on the main feed. You guys, I recoil even thinking about this person. It's really crazy, especially in 2025. So we'll give you one hint. Let's give one hint.

1:06:52Beautiful girl. But is she a model? That's my hint. I have two ladies standing in front of me. For similar reasons. You have what each other wants. You guys know. You both have what the other needs. Yes, thank you. That's it. Well, we love you guys very much. And let us know what you guys think about Kylie's Discipline Brands or other Kardashian brands in the comments. And we'll see you tomorrow for another deep dive. Bye. Bye.

1:07:31It's finally summer, which means all of us, hopefully most of us, are going to be spending a lot more time outside touching grass. And when was the last time you upgraded your outdoor furniture situation? Wayfair is your one-stop shop for outdoor seating, grills, appliances, patio lighting, storage, rugs, decor, you name it. Everything you need to make your outdoor area the best seat in the house. We only have an itty-bitty balcony in New York City, but thanks to Wayfair, we made the most of our tiny space with a perfect little bistro set and twinkle lights. I'm so excited it's finally warm enough to use it again.

1:08:03My favorite thing to do during the warm weather months is have coffee and breakfast out there with Baxter on sunny mornings. It's my favorite start to the day and it wouldn't be possible without my Wayfair furniture.

1:08:35I love how affordable everything at Wayfair is. Patio season is here and these deals won't last. Head to Wayfair.com right now to get your outdoor space ready for way less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R.com. Sometimes I really just need an extra hand for those little things I feel like I never end up getting around to myself, like hanging the collage wall.

1:09:14I promised myself I'd do for months. Wherever you are, TaskRabbit is here to help. TaskRabbit connects you with skilled taskers in your area for moving, furniture assembly, home repairs, yard work, mounting, you name it. You can search for a tasker based on cost, skillset, availability, and past client reviews. So you know exactly who's showing up and can have confidence that they know what they're doing. Taskers have assembled over 3.4 million pieces of furniture, completed 700 ,000 home repairs, handled 1.5 million moves, and counting. It's okay to ask for help with your to-do list. In fact, it's the most efficient way to get things done, in my humble opinion.

If there's one refresh worth making this summer, it's your bedding. Trust me. Summer nights always leave me wanting bedding that feels lighter, more breathable, etc., etc. And Quince has been my go-to for so long now. They focus on high-quality materials like European linen and bamboo without the luxury markup.

1:10:24My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy and even has a cooling effect, which is obviously perfect for those hot summer nights. I also love the look of it. It's matte, smooth, and just has this classic look that instantly elevates our bedroom. And I love knowing that we're sleeping on 100 % cotton and not some cheap polyester blend. Ugh. You can literally feel the difference. I also love their Mulberry Silk Pillowcases and Eye Masks. They help keep your hair smooth and skin hydrated overnight because they don't absorb your natural oils like other materials do.

1:10:59This bedding is made for literal beauty sleep, you guys. Quince has everything you need to upgrade your bedding for summer. Lightweight sheets, airy linen shams, seasonal colors and timeless patterns like stripes and soft neutrals. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 percent less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middleman. So you're paying for quality, not a name brand markup. Elevate your summer bedding. Go to quince.com slash snarkbait for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada, too.

Errands, workouts, beach days, you name it. And when summer hits, I am always reminded that I need clothes that can actually keep up with all of that. And that's why I joined Fabletics as a VIP. It completely changed how I shop for a new season. New VIPs unlock major savings on their first purchase, so stocking up on cute, comfortable pieces doesn't feel like some major splurge. When I signed up as a new VIP with Fabletics, I got 70-80 % off of everything.

1:12:08It made it so easy to grab multiple matching sets, shorts, tanks, and lounge pieces for the summer without overthinking it. And the quality is genuinely so good. Fablatics pieces feel like ultra-luxe activewear you'd expect from some of those higher-end brands, you know the ones, but without the hefty price tag. These pieces are built to actually last, and I love that for me. My genuine absolute favorite piece I've gotten is the Anywhere Cropped Bra Tank. It's the perfect workout top that I can throw on for a workout, just to record, run errands, go out to lunch. and genuinely my boobs look really good.
