In short
The hosts discuss Aaron Rodgers’ career arc and off-field controversies, arguing that his public persona has shifted from “likable” to “unhinged,” while still emphasizing his elite quarterback talent.
Guest backgrounds
No guests are interviewed. The episode is hosted by Sophie and Christy (Snarkbait).
Key claims
- Rodgers is portrayed as extremely polarizing: anti-vaxxer/conspiracy-leaning, a “wellness guru,” and someone who allegedly misled about COVID vaccination status using a “holistic doctor” vaccine card.
- The public “180” is attributed to his off-field behavior and personality, not his on-field skill.
- His career is framed as shaped by early setbacks (falling in the 2005 draft) and later psychological/identity themes (including ayahuasca “ego death” claims).
Notable examples
- 2005 NFL Draft: projected top pick but selected 24th by Green Bay; reasons cited include “system QB” concerns, high-shelf throwing motion, and an arrogant personality.
- 2014 NFC Championship collapse vs. Seattle after leading 19-7 with 5 minutes left.
- 2021 COVID/vaccine controversy: missed games after testing positive; described mandatory protocols for unvaccinated players.
- 2023 Jets debut: carrying the American flag on 9/11, then tearing an Achilles on the fourth snap.
- Ayahuasca: credited with back-to-back MVP seasons; hosts debate whether it’s a “quick fix” versus ongoing therapy/work.

Welcome back to Snarkbait. I'm Sophie. I'm Christy. How's it going, Sophie? How we doing today? I was talking to my best friend, and I was imitating you. I don't even know what I was doing, but I was doing the, hey, the Valley Girl voice. And she goes, you know, I really like that one better than the other one. I enjoy both. You can say multitudes. Henry. Henry. How's your week been? It's been busy. It's been really busy with work stuff.
3:04I feel like it's just been like one of those crazy weeks that has just flown by. but I'm really excited because my cousin slash bestie is visiting this weekend so I'm really excited for that yeah so after we record tomorrow tomorrow's Friday I'm gonna have like a little day with her we're gonna go to some of my favorite food spots we're gonna go shopping so I'm excited for that yeah that's so fun where is she visiting from she lives in Cleveland but we actually are one, we're first cousins, one grade apart, and also lived in the same neighborhood growing up. We were neighbors. So yeah, we have always been really close.
3:48So I'm very, very, very excited to hang with her. And yeah, so that is getting me through these next two days, I guess. How has your week been? And what are you doing this weekend? No, oh my God. My week also has been very crazy but things are coming together i think for live show the the team has been helping me a lot with a couple tings i was having them help me with a couple of tings on the side excluding you from them wait what not for live shows something else
4:20okay and yeah but the live shows are coming along olivia has been well obviously rachel's working She's working on the social content for the live shows. And Olivia is helping me find a videographer for Chicago. And the team is just working. They're butts off. And I really appreciate it because I, too, have been very busy. And speaking of Ohio, yesterday we released a Patreon episode on the disappearance of Brian Schaefer. And I'm intended to ask you this, but I'll just ask you right now since you brought up your cousin who lives in Ohio. How far is Columbus? And, like, did you hear about this growing up?
4:54I guess we were a little bit younger. Yeah. It was, what year was the good? 2006. So yeah, I was young, but Columbus is only, it's like an hour drive from Cincinnati from where I grew up, hour and a half. It's where the Ohio State campus obviously is located, which is where Brian Schaefer was a student of. So I visited like in high school a bunch of times. But yeah, it was definitely something that I don't know if it was more prevalently talked about in Ohio as much as it was like just a national news story because it is so crazy. And you did such a good job of walking us through it. Yeah. If you guys aren't familiar, well, if you guys aren't familiar with our show, we're the two girlies that are super online so you don't have to be.
5:38And we primarily cover pop culture on this show and influencer culture and all that fun, like Bravo, Liberty, reality TV things as well. But on the Patreon, we can be our most crazy, not like other girls' selves. And we often do cover a lot of true crime because that's an interest that Sophie and I both share that we never really intended to cover on the public. But disappearing, like cases of people just vanishing out of thin air have always been very fascinating to me. And we've already covered on the Patreon the stories of Mara Murray and Bryce Lespisa. And we talked about Lauren Spear on X knows all.
6:14And I went to Indiana at the time that Lauren Spear disappeared. So that was one that definitely was like ubiquitous when I was a student. Yes. Yeah, that's a good one that I think we might have also covered. I can't remember. On the Patreon maybe as well or just on X knows all. But like Sophie and I, I wouldn't say shared our love, but shared a really huge interest in that specific story. Yeah. But Brian Schaefer is a crazy story if you guys haven't heard of it. He was out drinking with his friends one night. He walked into a bar called The Ugly Tunis Luna. It's no longer an operation. And video like CCTV footage caught him entering the bar, but he was never seen leaving.
6:51And he vanished that night. And he still, you know, 20 years later now has never been seen. And he was 27 at the top of his game. He was a medical student. He was facing a lot of internal struggles family-wise. Like his mother had just passed away. He was going through a lot of like trauma in the background, but you know, nothing is as it seems. Everyone, you just think everyone's living this perfect life when in fact, I think he actually had a lot of secrets. So we're going to uncover all of that. Well, we already did yesterday, but But anyways, when you said Ohio, it just sparked a memory because as I was writing the outline, I was like, I'm curious what inside information being from Ohio, albeit an hour and a half away from you, you heard about the case living there or being from there.
7:28Really, really, really crazy case. And yeah, Christine and I just like share a brain when it comes to our interests like pop culture, reality TV, influencer culture, and then also true crime. So we really, our Patreon runs the gamut in terms of those topics. So if that is of interest to you, we talk about that more over there. But speaking of troubled human beings, but troubled in a different way, today's topic is, as the title would imply, Aaron Rodgers, the NFL superstar. Christy, I know you're not super into the NFL or sports, but what are your top line thoughts on Aaron Rodgers? Aaron Rodgers first came across my desk, very embarrassingly so, when Jordan Rodgers was on The Bachelorette.
8:16I knew you were going to say that. I knew you were going to say that. Yeah. And Jordan's storyline or story arc was, I am the brother of a very famous football player and we don't talk. And during his hometown dates, it was so dramatic. They had seats at the table. There was one seat empty at his family table to reflect that Aaron Rodgers was not present. Two. One for Aaron, one for Olivia Munn. Oh, yeah. So dramatic. Olivia Munn. And you know what? When I was watching that, this was back in 2016. And yeah, this was George Will Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette. And when I was watching that, I was like, er, Jordan is the problem.
8:51I was like, this is all like Jordan. He's so skeevy. He's clearly thirsty, which it turns out is not the case. From what we have now gathered, Aaron is extremely unhinged, probably narcissistic, has some sort of personality disorder. Jordan, on the other hand, has been married to JoJo for four years. They just welcomed him. Not to say that, oh my God, that absolves him. But he clearly was not in it just for fame because he came away with an actual wife from the show. So just saying, I really turned around my impression when that first aired. I thought that Jordan was the problem. I just something about him rubbed me the wrong way.
9:32And then I was like, at the time, Aaron had such a sterling reputation, you know? I think that you weren't alone in the sentiment about Jordan Rodgers. I remember I was obsessed with reading Reality Steve and Reality Steve would always criticize him for being on the show for fame when in fact, actually, JoJo and Jordan are probably the least thirsty couple out of the entire franchise. Like they've done their own thing. They do a lot of, I think, like HGTV shows or like house flipping stuff, but they're not thirsty at all when they could be the thirstiest couple coming out of that franchise. Yeah, they seem very down to earth.
10:02And obviously, they're still like out there on Instagram and stuff, but it doesn't seem like they're chasing fame or anything. No. So yeah. And again, this was 10 years ago at the time. Everyone really respected Aaron Rodgers. He didn't really make his full personality and views public at this time. And I think that he, you know, with Trump and RFK Jr., he definitely has fallen down a rabbit hole maybe since then. Either way, I feel like the public has kind of done a 180 on him. He used to be really likable, is my point. And now he is not for a multitude of reasons that we will get into. So Aaron Rodgers, in case you're not familiar, I always love to think of our international listeners.
10:45listeners we have lots of you across the pond in europe uh down under yeah i was gonna say new zealand as well down under so i'm actually too christy did i tell you that i've been practicing my australian accent i think you sent me a text and i was like i think i forgot to respond because i was like wait what is this context yeah wait for what for oh for bed impressions bed impressions just life like i feel like it's just a useful skill it's a great thing to have in your back pocket. It's a great thing to have in your back pocket. So I will be workshopping my Australian accent if that's not something you're interested in.
11:18You can tap out now. But yeah, so for our international listeners, Aaron Rodgers is an NFL superstar. He is known to be one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and the quarterback position. I feel like sometimes I just assume that people know about sports like me. No, just kidding. I really don't know about sports that much, but I know the NFL, I think, better than any other sport. But the quarterback is the most important position in sports. You are under center, throwing the ball around, scoring touchdowns, all of that. He is known to be super, super, super skilled and talented in that position, but also is extremely polarizing with his views off the field and his personality.
12:03He's kind of turned into a whack job who turns to Joe Rogan for medical advice and is publicly an anti-vaxxer and a conspiracy theorist and also a wellness guru and apparently has a secret wife now and doesn't speak to his family. So all of it is very, very, very strange. But he had pretty normal beginnings, I would say. He was born December 2nd, 1983, age 42 today in Chico, California. His current team, well, his most recent team was the Pittsburgh Steelers. Previously, he was like a Packers legend. Also spent a few seasons on the New York Jets. He went to, do I pronounce this, Butt College? Butte?
12:47I think it's Butte. Butte. Okay, thank you. It's B-U-T-T-E. Do I pronounce this, Butt? Butt College. So he played football both Butte College and also Berkeley, University of California, Berkeley. He was born to parents Edward Wesley Rogers and Darla Lee Pittman Rogers and has two siblings, Jordan and Lou. And his sister-in-law, like we said, is JoJo Fletcher, the one and only bachelorette. Well, she's not the one and only bachelorette, but she was a singular talent at the position, just like Aaron Rodgers as a quarterback. Her season was great. Her season and Caitlin Brissot's like the best. Top tier.
13:29And those were like the glory days. Glory days of the franchise. Those days are over. And we actually, I mean, this is a perfect segue into the emergency press conference that we were actually recording right after this, all about the Taylor Frankie Paul stuff. We're recording on Thursday, March 19th. So hopefully you listened to that when it came out last week. Anyway, okay. So Aaron is a Super Bowl champion, Super Bowl MVP, four-time NFL MVP, four-time first team All-Pro, et cetera, et cetera. He has tons of accolades in the sport. He has broken tons of records over the years. So, again, very, very, very talented at his position.
14:12It's a shame that he happens to be a little bit crazy. Yeah, I was going to say that him going to Berkeley is interesting because I feel like that's a very liberal college. And albeit that was like decades ago for him at this point. But he had, I don't know, I feel like that's some pretty formative years. Not to say that every time a student goes to UC Berkeley that they come out like a raging liberal. But I feel like you would learn. Or maybe that actually started his hippie lifestyle now that I'm thinking about it. He's kind of a hippie. He also, like, I feel like at Berkeley, first of all, he transferred there.
14:46So he didn't spend all four years there. He also was, I think, just focused on his sport. It's not like he was, like, going out to, like, student protests. Like, I feel like he had a different college experience than the traditional Berkeley student, probably. But in terms of his early life, he's from Chico, California, which is in Northern California. I think it's like the Bay Area-ish. It's like north. It's north, more north of the Bay Area, but it's pretty. I would actually say that it leans a little bit more right and conservative. Like, it's more agricultural. Yeah. Interesting. So, yeah, he's actually a lifelong 49ers fan.
15:23Fun fact, which we will get into in a bit. So his dad actually played O-Lineman for the Chico State Wildcats in the 70s. So he comes from a football family and he would toss the football around with his three sons, Jordan, Luke, and Aaron. And he actually, you know, told them not to drink or party in high school and college because it would limit themselves in sports. So he really was trying to prime his sons for these successful football careers. And his mom, Darla, was a former dancer, perhaps where Aaron gets his footwork from. Footwork. His footwork. And Aaron is the middle child between his older brother, Luke, and younger brother, Jordan.
16:03And do you believe that we've talked about this birth order? I believe in birth order. Yeah, yeah. And middle child syndrome. Yeah, middle child syndrome is real. And what people describe middle child syndrome as is you are kind of seeking attention because you didn't get the most attention growing up because you have the oldest who was the oldest sibling. You have the youngest who was the baby who got attention in that way. And in the middle, you kind of like are just in the middle. So that's a traditional, you know, there are lots of only child syndrome, youngest child syndrome, which is what I think I have.
16:36You are like such an eldest daughter in terms of being like that type A person. Yeah. My older sister is the same way. So I believe in birth order. I think that definitely informs how we are as adults, in my opinion. Yeah, and I think that a lot of middle children, at least the ones in my life, would agree that it can be tough. Like, you're not the firstborn who is, like, I don't know, so special because they're the first and then the youngest is doted on. Like, the middle child, where do I kind of fit in? So I have no doubt that this might have played into his issues with his family. Like, I've seen it in my own family, you know?
17:09Yeah, totally. So he, the family moved to Oregon, Beaverton, Oregon for a time, then ended up moving back to Chico. And that is where he set a bunch of school records as the quarterback at his Chico high school. Pleasant Valley High School actually is what it was called. And he graduated in spring 2002. And when it came to deciding on where to go to college, most of the D1 programs were not interested in him. Despite his great record, the issue was that he was kind of small. So he, as a freshman, was 5 '3". His junior year, he was 5 '7". In his senior year, he was 6 foot, 180 pounds. So he wasn't like the most, you know, physically large specimen when it came to playing football.
17:55But he always, according to all of these, you know, people that played with him in high school, he always had an incredible understanding of the game. And I think that's what people say about him today is that it's not like he, you know, is this crazy, freaky, freak of nature athlete. It's that he's really, really, really smart when it comes to knowing the game and understanding the game, reading a defense. He also has like a cannon for an arm. But for the most part, he's not like, you know, built like some crazy specimen. So he actually wanted to attend Florida State and play under head coach Bobby Bowden.
18:32But he was rejected. And he was eventually offered an opportunity to compete for a scholarship as a walk-on from University of Illinois. But he declined. He even considered quitting football altogether and trying baseball. He also toyed with giving up pro sports in general and going to law school. But he was eventually recruited to play football, but community college. No, I'm just kidding. Butte Community College in Oroville, a junior college about 15 miles southeast of Chico. And the head coach of the team was his neighbor. So he was a Nepo recruit, if you will. And once at Butte, he showed up 6 '2", 200 pounds, a little bit bigger than high school.
19:10He threw 26 touchdowns, led Butte to a 10-1 record. the NorCal Conference Championship, number two national ranking. Very crazy for a junior college. And then that's when the University of California, Berkeley head coach Jeff Tedford came to Butte to recruit a tight end, spotted Rodgers throwing passes, and was stunned nobody had offered him. So he transferred to Berkeley. And he ended up, you know, being very successful there. upset number three USC in triple overtime as a sophomore, threw for 5 ,469 yards and 43 touchdowns in two seasons, declared for the 2005 NFL draft as a projected number one overall pick.
19:52He went from like the scrawny nobody underdog to the guy that everyone was like, he's going to be a superstar in the NFL. Yeah, from him to go from 5 '3 to 6 '0 in four years in college, Like, it's kind of crazy he had a growth spurt that much that later in life. I know. Christy, you were just waiting for yours. No, I knew when I was 11. I was like, this is as good as it's going to get. The doctor was like, yeah, you're not going to grow anymore. Oh, my God. That's so funny. One of my biggest, not insecurities, but like what I think is going to be the most shocking when people see us at our live show is that I'm going to come on stage and I'm so short.
20:25Like, I don't think you guys understand how short I am. But she's so cute. Like, I'm very petite. so I think people think I'm taller just because of my personality but like I'm I'm shorter than five foot so I'm just like scared of what people are gonna oh my god scared they're gonna be like Sophie is this huge giant no no everyone it's funny because I'm like five five like I'm not like a giant in real life I'm I'm that's a perfect height for a girl among some of my friends I'm even like the shortest one so it's funny when I'm with Christy I am like Jacob Elordi every time i take photos with any of my friends christy i don't want to be like me by christy not because i'm like so thin it's literally just because i'm like so short i look like a giant next to you i need to be very careful about the heels that i wear like i can't wear like super high heels or else like i will tower over you i'm gonna come in with like stripper heels like six inch platform oh please please you know because i gotta i gotta make up for the when I'm walking in and hiding.
21:26The behind the scenes from our photo shoot for our cover photo shoot. And Christy's wearing like heels. I'm like barefoot and in sneakers and some of them. And I'm like doing the splits to be the same in height as her. It's so funny. And then she was standing on a crate. Yeah. So our cover photo, even though I'm taller than Sophie, it's because I'm standing on a crate and making me like two inches taller than she is. But it's all a facade. It's all That's some BTS for you guys.
21:53Snark Bait Hosts:Oh my God, it's so funny. Your girl likes to have a good time. Is that illegal? But sometimes that sucks about going out is how awful you feel the next day. Even if I think I'm doing everything right. Baby snarks in their 30s and above, I know you know what I'm talking about. And what I didn't realize until recently is that it's not just dehydration. Alcohol actually affects your brain and your liver, which is why you can feel off even if you drank responsibly and did everything right.
22:32This is why I'm so happy I discovered Cheers Restore. They're capsules you take after your last drink or before bed, and the ingredients support both your brain and your liver. I personally keep them on my nightstand so if I go to dinner, have cocktails with friends, or just have a random Tuesday night glass of wine, I take them and actually feel like myself the next day. And this isn't just some random internet product. Cheers was originally developed by a Princeton student, was featured on Shark Tank, and has sold over 50 million doses, which makes sense because it actually works. 25:21Snark Bait Hosts:And that's where OneSkin comes in. The OneSkin founding team started out by figuring out that if visible signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, and loss of elasticity are all caused by the same so-called zombie cells, the best course of action is to reduce those cells to slow the aging process, instead of just trying to cover it up, you know? Again, this is science, and that's why it works. While most skincare brands are just band-aids to surface-level problems, OneSkin treats skin at the cellular level with their patented OSO1 peptide, the first ingredient proven to target senescent cells, the root cause of those aforementioned wrinkles, crepiness, and loss of elasticity, all the key signs of aging.
26:02Snark Bait Hosts:Don't believe me? These results have been validated in four different clinical studies. OneSkin is the real deal. Born from over a decade of longevity research, OneSkin's OSO1 peptide is proven to target the visible signs of aging, helping you unlock your healthiest skin now and as you age. 26:38Okay, so the 2005 NFL draft. Like I said, Aaron was a Northern California kid, lifelong 49ers fan. He was widely projected to go first overall to San Francisco. San Francisco had the number one pick. The stars were aligned. It was going to be perfect. And he was invited to the draft. And the NFL invites, you know, the players that they're pretty certain will go in the first round to special green rooms during the NFL draft. Have you ever watched an NFL draft? I've seen clips of it. I've never watched like a full. I'm trying to think. I think I watched some documentary where they were getting draft.
27:15I don't know. I just seen it on a documentary. Yeah. Did you ever see Russell Wilson's when he got drafted and his girlfriend at the time was like, no, I forgot whose documentary it was. Look up Russell Wilson. Russell Wilson draft photo, his girlfriend at the time was like, hell yeah. And then they were broken up like less than a year later. I know it's so sad. So all of these teams like desperately needed quarterbacks. He did not get drafted first overall. Are you looking at the picture, the Russell Wilson one? No, it's worth looking. We'll post it on our Instagram, Russell Wilson draft. Oh my God.
27:48Her mouth is like so long. She is like juice, which she was He's very excited. Yeah, totally understand. So, Danaka drafted first overall. And then all of these teams that desperately needed quarterbacks also passed on him. And by pick number 15, everyone was like, what's going on? Aaron was like, what's happening? National TV cameras stayed locked on his face for four hours and 35 minutes. No. This is like my worst nightmare. And this has happened to a couple drafts. draft. I remember Victoria Fuller's ex-boyfriend from the Titans. What was his name? Victoria Fuller Will Levis. The same thing happened to him where he was projected to go really early and then fell, I think, to the second round.
28:33It's always so embarrassing because the camera's on them. You can tell that they're getting disappointed, that everyone in the room was like, what's happening? What's going on? So this was, you know, a very embarrassing moment for Aaron and could have led to him having like a chip on his shoulder as he entered the NFL. But he was eventually picked at 24 in the first round and the Green Bay Packers selected him. And there are a couple of reasons why he fell in the draft. People were concerned that he was a quote unquote system QB, meaning he wasn't that talented and he just thrived in a system like you could slot in any quarterback and could be good and perform just as well in a system if the coach, you know, propped them up a certain way.
29:16He had a high shelf throwing motion seen as something that needed to be worked on a project and a too confident personality that seemed to rub people the wrong way. Okay, so he's always been known to be arrogant. Yes. So it gave him a chip on his shoulder and probably influenced his entire career. And he constantly needs to prove that he is worthy, smart, etc. So Aaron sat behind Brett Favre, who has also gone off the deep end, by the way. Brett Favre is also the worst. Remember when I thought, are you thinking about anything? Oh, Brett Michaels. Brett Michaels. We were talking about Rock of Love and Christy was like, oh yeah, Brett.
29:51Brett Favre. Rock of Love with Brett Favre. Something about Sophie, she loves VH1 reality shows. Oh, I do. Oh my God. We've done a bunch of Patreon episodes on some of the most iconic VH1 reality shows. Megan Wants a Millionaire, rock of love flavor of love charm school rock of love was like the trashy version of bachelor oh oh my trashy how dare you how dare you i love new york iconic oh my god so many good moments are you thinking what i'm thinking what cameron diaz washes her face with evie and water every morning every morning um that that was the fabulous life of and like the shimmer the sparkles with that sound effect yeah it's like mary kate nashley olsen with the range rover like i don't know and that's what's me trying to good that was really good we actually talked about why vh1 stopped making reality tv on our patreon it was because of a murder that actually happened and that episode is called the megan wants a millionaire murder so just another quick plug for our patreon yeah so anyway back to brett farve not brett michaels um he was a backup for three full seasons, appeared in just seven games over those three seasons.
31:06And yeah, that always sucks, I feel like, for some of these NFL stars that go from being, you know, the it girl, bell of the ball of their college to having to be a backup for years and years and years. And it depends on the program. Like some people get drafted and they're immediately thrown into the ringer, thrown to the wolves. You're going to start right away. It depends on, you know, the successor or backup option for our star quarterback. And at the time, Brett Favre was the star and Aaron was just a backup. And that is always probably really frustrating for some of these players. To me, I'm like, I want to get paid millions of dollars to just sit on a bench.
31:46You kidding me? It's the best job ever. You don't get to work. You just watch your friends. You just watch. You're like, yeah, go team. Wait. So in football, this sounds so stupid. I know with basketball, there's five players as simultaneously per team on the court. With football, it's not everyone on the team on the field? No, no, no, no, no, not at all. They have to have like depth. And it's probably the same thing with basketball. I don't know a lot about basketball, but like you have your starters and then you have, you know, a lot of backups. You also rotate positions because, you know, players get tired.
32:20It's a very physically demanding game and you need to let people, you know, take a break in between plays or whatever it is. so i think it's like a 50 man roster is what an nfl team is at after you know they sign everyone when all is said and done um how which makes sense because like you don't see like 100 players on a field simultaneously 53 it's a 53 man roster is what an nfl team is when all is done um so farve retired at one point in 2008 only to un-retire uh but the packers head coach was like, it's time to move on to Aaron. It was Aaron's time to shine. And he stepped into those shoes. They were big shoes to fill.
33:03Stepped in, proved himself immediately. In 2008, he threw for 28 touchdowns and 4 ,038 yards, led the Packers to a Super Bowl after the 2010 season, and won over the Steelers, 31 to 25, with a three touchdown, zero interception, 304-yard performance that earned him Super Bowl MVP, which is like the highest honor in the NFL. His 2011 season was one of the greatest in NFL history with 45 touchdowns, a record 122.5 passer rating, and a 15-1 record that ended with an upset loss to the Giants in the playoffs. And the 2014 NFC Championship collapse against Seattle is one of the most devastating losses in NFL history.
33:47The Packers led 19-7 with five minutes left. And the NFC Championship is like you win that game and then you go to the Super Bowl. So you're just one win away from the Super Bowl. The Packers led 19-7 with five minutes left. The defense had intercepted Russell Wilson four times and then everything unraveled. A botched onside kick recovered by Brandon Bostic, who's supposed to block but tried to catch it. The ball bouncing off his helmet. Two Seahawks touchdowns in 44 seconds and an overtime loss. Rodgers said this sting's probably never going to go away. It's one of those losses that just haunts him forever and I don't blame him.
34:20He, you know, was extremely talented, but he only won the Super Bowl this one time. He only went to the Super Bowl this one time, which, you know, people are like, well, like, he has an amazing legacy. He's going to be a Hall of Fame quarterback. But, like, that's kind of like you don't love to see that, you know. He won four MVP awards, which is tied with Peyton Manning for the most ever throughout his career. 2011, 2014, 2020, and 2021. He threw four career Hail Marys, the most in NFL history. Do you know what a Hail Mary is? No. I mean, I know the idiom. The term. Yeah. So in the NFL, a Hail Mary is when you're like, okay, we have three seconds left.
35:00We need a touchdown. If we don't score a touchdown right here, we lose. And it'll be like a crazy throw from all the way down the field. Crazy throw that's kind of just like based on, I mean, obviously a lot of it is having a cannon for an arm like Aaron Rodgers has, but also like just luck. You're kind of just chucking it down there and hoping that one of your wide receivers catches it. And he's had so many of those. I mean, four in the NFL, which is very, very, very impressive. Another career defining moment. One of the Packers' bitter rivals is the Chicago Bears. They're in the same division.
35:35And after a rushing touchdown in 2021, he goes, I own you. I still own you. He's arrogant. He's just arrogant. Jesus. What's funny about, like, NFL players, though, it's like, yeah, you deserve to, like, talk shit. Like, sometimes they get in trouble for talking shit. Like, they get, like, a flag or a penalty because it's, like, unsportsmanlike conduct. And it's like, let them talk shit, you know? I was watching the David Beckham documentary three years, you know, too late. But when he got the red card because he kicked his opponent, like, when he was, like, on the ground and everyone was devastated that David Beckham had to be red carded and then they lost the game.
36:12But I was thinking, I'm like, it wasn't that big of a deal. I thought he punched him. I was like, he literally just kind of like, you know, like when you use the washing machine with your legs? Like, yeah. Like at yoga, like that's what he did. I'm like, he didn't like grab and like curb stomp him. I'm like, no, like they get like, they get ejected sometimes too. And yeah, in the NFL, which like, I can hear comments already. Christy, it actually was a huge deal. I don't know anything about sports. Please don't come for me. but I'm just saying it was like a very light love tap. They're going to be like, how dare you not know Bobby Bones?
36:42I'll never forget. When we were talking about Bobby Bones, I was like, everyone's going to yell at us and everyone yelled at us for not knowing Bobby Bones. They're like, that's really weird. You guys don't know who Bobby Bones is, dot, dot, dot. Oh. Oh my God. Oh. Oh, I didn't. Oh, okay. We got to do an Instagram poll. Who knows Bobby Bones? Who knows Bobby Bones? Like, I feel like I'm being gaslit. No, no, me too. No, people are going to yell at us again. I have to stop. But yeah, statistically, he is one of the five or six greatest quarterbacks who has ever played. He is known as one of the goats.
37:09It sucks that he played like alongside Tom Brady during the same time because Tom Brady overshadows everyone. He doesn't just have the skill and the football IQ, but he also has the Super Bowl rings, which Aaron Rodgers doesn't have. He has won. But like only one Super Bowl ring compared to Tom Brady's, I think, six. Wow. Which is crazy. Like winning the Super Bowl is extremely difficult. Tom Brady always made it look easy. He literally left the Patriots after winning, you know, however many Super Bowls with them. A lot of conversations about whether it was Bill Belichick, the coach at the time, or Tom Brady, who was really the mastermind behind this dynasty.
37:47He went to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and immediately won another Super Bowl with them. He like proved, he was like, it's me. I am the reason. Tom Brady. Bill Belichick, in the meantime, has not won a Super Bowl without Tom Brady. Two by now. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99.9 % sure. He went to the Super Bowl, or no, actually Mike Vrabel was the coach of the Patriots when they went to the Super Bowl this year. So nevermind. Anyway, he never reached another Super Bowl after that one in 2010, like I said. And yeah, it was kind of overshadowed by Tom Brady for most of his career. Tom Brady is obviously retired now.
38:21Aaron is like undecided about whether he's retiring. But yeah, it's undisputed that Tom Brady is the GOAT. And I think if Aaron Rodgers played during any other era, he would be a little more, not that people don't respect him. People respect his skill level and how good he is at the game. But I feel like for the most part, they're like, yeah, he was never the best quarterback in the NFL compared to Tom Brady, obviously. So now for his downfall on the Packers. In 2020, the Packers traded up to draft Aaron Rodgers' replacement, Jordan Love, even though they had a 13-3 season. And Aaron was like, what are you doing?
38:58He was actually very, very, very mad that they drafted another quarterback, his replacement, when there were other needs. And he was like, why aren't you drafting me like a wide receiver? Why aren't you drafting people that are going to help me instead of my replacement? Like, he obviously was really bad. And he apparently wanted the general manager fired for this. Yeah. He apparently looked down at his phone and his agent texted him quarterback. And he was like, no fucking way. And he says, I just want to pour myself some tequila, according to his Netflix documentary. So, you know, he's already primed to be replaced on the Packers.
39:34And then the 2021 vaccine controversy happens. So Rogers missed a game in 2021 after testing positive for COVID and later acknowledged he hadn't gotten the vaccine, even though he says he said he was immunized when asked about his vaccination status before the season. He was intentionally lying about being vaccinated, obviously playing with wordplay here and saying immunize when he really did like, I guess, some holistic, in his opinion, immunization. Yeah. He never got the vaccine, even though there were very, very, very strict protocols during the 2021 season. They were like, hey, we're we're going to, you know, try to keep this under control.
40:14Everyone needs to be vaccinated. If you're not vaccinated, you need to get a COVID test every day. You need to wear a mask around the premises. You need to social distance. Unvaccinated players had all of these protocols. He lied and said he was vaccinated. He apparently had like a little, remember our vaccine cards? Yeah. I hope you know where yours is, Christy. You know what? I actually do. Of course you do. But I think I threw it away. But I think I threw it away. So you don't? I remember I just found it and then I threw it away like probably last month. Why would you do that? Should that be like a, that should be something that like could be in record books.
40:44You know what I mean? Could be like in a museum. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he apparently had like a vaccine card that looked like a vaccine card. It was actually from his holistic doctor. I already know the type of person this is. I know. Like crazy. And so he like was intentionally misleading and then eventually got COVID. And they were like, well, that's what you get. You know, like you weren't vaccinated. You were fucking lying. Just not good. In 2022, Aaron signed a three-year contract before the 2022 season with the Packers worth$150.8 million with$101.5 million guaranteed, making him the highest paid player in North American sports history on an annual basis at that time.
41:25He broke his right thumb early in the season but continued playing, and the Packers finished 8-9 and missed the playoff. 2023 is when he went to the New York Jets and he went out carrying the American flag on Monday night football. It was September 11, 2023. Everyone was like, oh, my God, this is so like chills. Aaron Rodgers making his debut, carrying the American flag on 9-11 on the New York Jets. On the fourth snap of the game, he tore his Achilles. So that season was done for before he even really started. Uh, he ended up returning in 2024 to the Jets for a flop five and 12 season. Um, yeah, he wasn't really sure about his future after that season, but he eventually signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2025 and he led them actually to a 10 and seven record in the AFC North title this past season.
42:16Uh, but then really, really, really flopped in a 30 to six wild card loss to the Houston Texan. And as of today, he's a free agent who hasn't decided if he's done. He might retire. He might come back. Who knows at this point? So just like Shep Rose, Aaron's life and career has been heavily influenced by ayahuasca. He first tried it in 2020 and has completed at least 16 ceremonies. And he actually credits ayahuasca with his back-to-back MVP season. He said, I really felt like that experience paved the way for me to have the best season of my career. He described during his ayahuasca retreat prior to his MVP season as experiencing ego death and meeting a grandmother spirit.
43:01I was talking about this actually yesterday with a co-worker about ayahuasca and ketamine therapy that the Mormon wives do. And it's like, I have no doubt these things are helpful. Like, I'm not saying they're junk science or that. I'm not, you know, turning my head to it. But what I will say is, like, I always kind of side-eye people that want a quick fix to something. like for you to get over or not get over, but work through trauma or issues in your life that have like deeply impacted your day to day. It takes like work. It takes true work, years of work. And to me, it's like these people are searching for something that they hope, like Shep, can be fixed within a weekend.
43:36It's like, no, no, this is a daily habit that you need to instill in your daily life to ensure that you become the person that you want to be. It just, it seems kind of lazy to me, honestly, like you can do that, but couple it with like therapy as well. I just, I I don't know. That's just my opinion. I'm not shading anyone that does ayahuasca, but to me, it's a daily ritual and it's a daily practice to improve yourself and overcome demons. Totally. I'm curious, baby starts, if you've ever tried ayahuasca, because obviously what we hear about it via Shep and Aaron Rodgers. And there was actually an episode of Industry.
44:08As you guys know, I started Industry earlier this year, and I love it, where they do ayahuasca. And I'm so curious i'm like what is this like why does everyone have some transform does everyone have a transformative experience you know i feel like the people that do ayahuasca are always coming out of it like you're still kind of a shit person like and i'm talking about mainstream men okay like jesse from the valley he came home after the ayahuasca trip and said you know i'm so much more i want to be so much more affectionate towards michelle our marriage is going to change they got divorced within like three weeks after that trip it's like do you know what i mean again Again, I'm not giving a blanket.
44:44I don't want to say a blanket statement about ayahuasca, but the very few instances I've seen, at least on TV, it's not very effective. Like, do the work. Actually show up to therapy once a week. It's an ongoing thing. You can't just fix your problems in a weekend. Like, it just kind of bothers me. I don't know. Oh, my God. Jesse Lally is, like, such a good example. Yeah. Like, it's just, I don't know. It's just, yeah, it seems very lazy to me. I'm so excited for the Valley to come back. Me too. I heard the Valley Persian style is like really good. Yes. I need to watch it. I also started Ladies of London, which is really good.
45:17Oh, I heard Ladies of London is killing it. It's so good, you guys. So that's a quick Bravo sidebar. Four under four, Danny Booko. Oh my God. Miss him. Okay. Anyway. So yeah, let us know, Baby Snarks, what is your experience if you've tried ayahuasca? Did you, you know, have this breakthrough like Aaron Rodgers, like Shep, like Jesse Lally? I'm going to be honest. Baby Snarks aren't going to ayahuasca retreats. I would be surprised if there's like an overlap. No, I would be genuinely surprised. Like, that's just not girly pop things. I'm sorry. I know. It's always just like gross med. Yes.
45:51Okay. So he allegedly skipped mandatory Jets minicamp in June 2024 for another ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica. They're always in Costa Rica also. They're always, yeah. Why? He apparently did a four-night darkness retreat at Sky Cave retreats in Southern Oregon also. and he apparently was in a 300 square foot underground room with zero light, zero sound and zero cell service. What if you did have cell service though? It was like zero light, zero sound. I'm just like on my phone in the dark. You're on TikTok. Underground. Yeah. And this was supposed to help him decide whether or not to retire. And he entered 90 % retired and emerged demanding a trade to the jets.
46:32So if you want to look at the little sky cave, there are some photos on the dock what do you think it kind of looks like when the kardashians went to lapland for like the somewhere in like finland i think for the santa claus north pole that's what it's kind of giving it kind of looks cozy dare i say wait who who went there courtney kardashiam like with scott disick and sophia grange remember oh my god i don't know why oh i do remember that actually yeah and they went to the north pole but apparently it's very magical it low-key kind of looks cozy and yeah i like it cute what do you think literally just like a dark windowless it's like an insane asylum but cozy i know i feel like i would like i don't know maybe for a couple hours i would enjoy it and then i'd be like okay what now oh i know like are you allowed to like read it doesn't even sound like you like read books like you literally just like sit there and think how could you it doesn't look like there's oh actually no there is light in this room yeah there's like a little tiny bit of light but um i don't know again just very odd it's such a fucking weirdo.

50:46So let's circle back to his descent into Maha, starting with his anti-vax outspokenness. So again, in 2021, the NFL instituted these strict COVID protocols. Like I said, unvaccinated players had to test daily, wear masks indoors, maintain social distancing and meeting, couldn't eat with teammates versus vaccinated players, is no restriction. But Aaron did not want to get the shot. He submitted a 500-page research document to the NFL arguing that a homeopathic immunization protocol from his personal doctor reportedly involving raising his antibody levels through alternative treatment should count as vaccination.
51:29Anytime I hear the term holistic doctor, alternative treatment, and that's fine, but do it in congruence with, I think, real, like you can mix the holistic with the, you know, And listen, I can say this because my great grandfather was like a herbal medicine doctor from China. He studied herbal medicine for years when he immigrated to L.A. in the late 1800s. Like, I come from a family of herbal medicine doctors. I think there is truth to it. But also do it in congruence with like following COVID protocols. Yeah. And like Eastern medicine, 100 % people swear by, you know, acupuncture and things like that.
52:06Yeah. But I think in terms of, you know, not getting a vaccine because you're like, look, my holistic doctor is going to build up my antibodies with honey and matcha, whatever it is. Like, it's so dumb. And feeling like the rules just don't apply to you. All of my peers are going to get the shot and they're going to be able to have less restrictions. But no, I'm going to be the exception. And I'm going to give you a 500-page research document for my quack doctor. Yes. And that's always such a pattern for him. He's like above the rules. The rules don't apply to him. Right. So he submitted this thing and the league's medical panel denied the petition unanimously.
52:48So instead he went to plan B, which is making everyone think he'd been vaccinated without technically saying so. So the preseason at a preseason press conference, a reporter asked, are you vaccinated and what's your stance on vaccination? And he had a very rehearsed canned response ready to go. He said, yeah, I've been immunized. He then changed the subject and no one followed up. So Aaron later said he planned that exact wording and would only have elaborated if asked a follow up. So for the next two months, he was at press conferences without a mask, attending team meetings without social distancing, and generally presented as a vaccinated player.
53:23Extremely selfish. He reportedly, like I said, carried an immunization card from his holistic doctor, which looked similar to the official vaccine card. Which isn't that like at the time that should have been like fraud? Yeah. I mean, you're misrepresenting your health when there are rules in place. Like, I just, this is like so frustrating to me, honestly. He's like the worst. So in November 2021, he tested positive for COVID and was subject to a 10-day isolation protocol for unvaccinated players. And this was when it was officially confirmed that he had never received a COVID vaccine. So two days later, he was on the Pat McAfee show and gave a 45-minute manifesto on bodily autonomy, Joe Rogan, Martin Luther King Jr., the woke mob, ivermectin, and...
54:13Oh, my God. Not ivermectin. Oh, my God. Stop. That's like such a triggering word that takes me back. I know. You know what I mean? I know. So he claimed during this 45-minute monologue that he was allergic to an ingredient in the vaccine. Give me a break. Yeah. Give me a break. He said he consulted Joe Rogan. Because who doesn't consult Joe Rogan with medical questions? The same people that prescribe to this type of rhetoric are the same people that are in MLMs, just so we're clear. the the the like what do you call it the circle those two yeah the diagram there's not even a venn diagram there's a circle those types of people i yeah and they're the same girls that hey hey girly following up hey babe how are you doing no it's we are not in the same circle oh my god so yeah he consulted joe rogan about treatment protocols and rogan recommended ivermectin which as we know, is a medication the FDA explicitly warned against using for COVID and hydro...
55:10Hydroxychloroquine. How do you know how to pronounce that? I just... Hydroxychloroquine. Yeah, hydroxychloroquine. Yeah. Thank you. Which multiple clinical trials had found ineffective against COVID. He confirmed he was taking both. He compared his situation to Martin Luther King Jr. saying he believed in the great MLK and his writings about unjust rules. You're comparing like your plight as a multi-millionaire NFL quarterback who doesn't want to get a vaccine to the civil rights movement. You cannot analogize the two things. It's just not the same. I'm speechless. Literally speechless. He said he was in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now and worried about his cancel culture casket.
55:57So he was like worried about his free speech being restricted as he was like delivering this monologue on one of the biggest podcasts out there. Right. He said, I'm not an anti-vax flat earther. He just insisted he was a critical thinker who had done extensive research. God, I there are certain people in my life that literally just take this and they copy and paste it and then speak about this. Oh, my God. That's so scary. It is scary. It's like very triggering, to be honest. Oh, my God. Especially coming from like a family. My sister's a pharmacist and she's like, she'll look into all the publications about the vaccine.
56:32She will explain it from a very clinical, scientific way. And it makes sense to me. Like, I'm going to trust that. Yeah, as you should. So the aftermath. Previa Health dropped their partnership with Aaron Rodgers after nine years working together. State Farm slashed his ad appearances. He was fined by the NFL for protocol violations. and Hub Arcoosh, I don't know if I'm pronouncing that correctly, an AP MVP voter publicly said he wouldn't vote for Aaron Rodgers because of the vaccine deception. Aaron responded by calling him a bum and suggested the award should be renamed Most Valuable Vaccinated Player.
57:09He ended up winning MVP that year anyway, so it clearly didn't matter. He went back on Pat McPhee's show to say sorry, but then didn't say sorry. He said he took full responsibility for his misleading comments, emphasizing that he empathizes with COVID suffering and stressed that he was COVID negative every single day he appeared in public. He then said, I'm an athlete, not an activist, so I'm going to get back to doing what I do best, and that's play and ball. And then he, like, continued to never let this go. He told Fox News in February 2024 that he has an important responsibility to speak out against vaccines and that standing for something makes you either courageous or a coward.
57:48He challenged MVP voter criticism by suggesting anyone who factored vaccination status into their vote was compromised. He joked about wanting a tag team match between himself and RFK Jr. against Dr. Anthony Fauci and Mr. Pfizer, Travis Kelsey. I remember when he called Travis Kelsey, Mr. Pfizer. Like, so annoying. In his biography written by Ian O 'Connor called Out of the Darkness in 2024, he said he regretted the phrasing of immunized but not the action itself. Oh, my God. So he then became entwined with the quote unquote health freedom movement that RFK Jr. has spearheaded. RFK Jr. and Aaron Rodgers bonded over pharma skepticism.
58:29RFK's movement was the affirmation that Aaron needed to kind of justify his action. And by 2024, they were besties. And in March 2024, NBC News confirmed that Kennedy was seriously considering both Rogers and former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura as running mate options. Can you imagine a RFK Jr. Aaron Rogers ticket? Yeah, you said here nightmare fuel. Nightmare fuel. Yeah. There is a timeline in which Aaron Rogers is our vice president. But on the Tucker Carlson podcast, Aaron described the conversation as Kennedy asking, would you think about being my running mate? And Aaron replying, are you serious?
59:07I'm a fucking football player. He told CNN in May 2024 that he chose to continue his NFL career rather than enter politics. Kennedy ultimately chose tech entrepreneur Nicole Shanahan as his running mate. And this whole debacle obviously kind of stained his public image. Like I said, I feel like the public used to have a favorable view of him. That is completely done a 180 because like supporting this specific movement, being an outspoken anti-vaxxer ultimately has real world consequences. And like, yeah, it's like dumb and kind of like funny in a way how stupid he is. But like, unfortunately, he is influencing people and could actually cause like a measles outbreak, God forbid.
59:52And like, I'm positive that at least one Midwestern granola mom or MLM mom has not vaccinated her children because she was influenced by him. Oh, I'm certain. And also like not vaccinating. It's not just a choice that you're making for your own children. You are putting other children in danger in case that's not clear. Because certain children cannot be vaccinated if they are under a certain age, like newborn babies or, you know, are immunocompromised. and if you don't vaccinate your children and you bring them out in public, you are literally putting other people's children who don't have the same political stance as you in danger.
1:00:30Yeah, yeah. I think of Kristen Cavallari too. Oh my God. Me and Mark? Me and Mark? I came across this TikTok of her talking about her one night stand and I'm just like, just please, enough. I can't remember. Yeah, it's just, we don't need to know everything about your life, Kristen, please. Wait, we have done a K-Cav episode. Yeah, we have. Okay, yeah. Just making sure. Yeah. Okay, so let's talk about the family estrangement. Because like I said at the time, in 2016, when Jordan Rogers won The Bachelorette, I was like, this guy sucks. Aaron is so in the right to not want to be associated with this, like, fame, thirsty, you know, douchebag.
1:01:10But like I said, as it turns out, it looks like Aaron actually is the problem. So he has not spoken regularly to his parents, to his family, parents included, for over a decade since 2014, I believe. So sad. Very sad. And we know about it because of The Bachelorette. It all circles back to reality TV, you know. So his younger brother Jordan was on JoJo Fletcher's season. And when they went to Chico for the hometown date, two chairs were empty for Aaron and Olivia Munn, who was Aaron's girlfriend at the time. And Aaron's face was also blurred out in a family picture. Like, it is kind of dramatic.
1:01:44That is so fucking dramatic. Like, The Bachelor does way too much. I know. They're so extra. So extra. Yeah. So Jordan told the cameras, me and Aaron don't really have that much of a relationship. It's just kind of the way he's chosen to do life. So Aaron was apparently pissed in his 2024 Netflix documentary Enigma. He said, they go on a bullshit show and leave two empty chairs. They all agreed this was a good thing to do, to leave two empty chairs at a stupid dating show that my brother just went on to get famous. His words, not mine. Now, I don't disagree with Aaron by saying that's bullshit to purposefully call out the fact that Aaron is estranged from his family.
1:02:19Like, Aaron didn't ask to be a part of this. I understand that. At the same time, it still bums me out. I feel actually the most devastated for his poor parents. I know. It's really sad. Your son doesn't want to talk to you for over a decade. Like, that's so devastating. And I remember back then there were so many rumors that it was due to Olivia Munn. She was the one that was pushing him. It's such a misogynistic take. It is. I feel like it doesn't, and same thing is happening right now with Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham. It's always the woman that's encouraging the husband to no longer talk to his family.
1:02:47And it's like, yeah, I'm sure she was encouraging it based on what she's being told by Aaron. Like, right? Like, I don't know. Well, also, yeah. So Olivia Mudd actually said, because she knew that people were blaming her for the reason that he didn't speak to their family. She said that they hadn't spoken for some time when she first started dating him. So he already was not speaking to his family. And she actually tried to encourage him to make amends with them. And he didn't. So she completely denies having anything to do with that estrangement. So Luke Rogers, this relationship severance is like a mystery.
1:03:23I mean, it's all very mysterious. But allegedly, Luke and Aaron's feud came to a head in May 2015 after Aaron committed to being the best man in his former college teammate's wedding, but allegedly pulled out the night before the ceremony because he found out his family was invited. Shut up. And he was like, why would you invite my family? See, again, like it all started in 2014-ish apparently. I mean, I'm sure it started before that, but the estrangement is tracked back to 2014. He was like, why would you invite my family? Blah, blah, blah. And he'd apparently requested that his family not be invited, but his good friend invited them anyway, which he was not happy about.
1:03:59And he apparently was really, really, really close with Luke. Like they were apparently closer than he was with Jordan. So, yeah, big mystery there why this kind of happened. But it's speculated that the reason why he's no longer close to this family is potentially about religion. So he told the Netflix documentary that he grew up in a very white dogmatic church built on shame, guilt, and judgment. And he started to slowly uncouple from that in high school. And he liked ayahuasca and Eastern spirituality. His parents, meanwhile, were evangelical Christians. He said in the documentary that in high school, he began to steer away from his parents' beliefs.
1:04:36It was around this time that he began to not feel close with his family, except for Jordan Rogers. Wait, sorry. Which makes it even sadder. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So I said he was really, really, really close with Luke, who's actually really, really—he was close with Luke, but he also was really, really, really close with Jordan. More close with Jordan. Sorry, I misspoke. He said, it wasn't like I was super, too, real close with everyone in the family. I was close with my little brother. But in actuality, it goes back to stuff from high school that kind of made me feel distant. Stuff from college, stuff from post-college, etc.
1:05:06Ed Rogers, his dad, has denied that religion was part of the divisiveness. Well, if it were, then maybe Ed was too in it to even understand that he was doing damage to his son as it pertains to religion. Like, maybe that's Ed's POV, but, like, it probably was true for Erin. There's probably a lot of other stuff. Yeah. But I think Ed is kind of, like, I don't know, steering away from those. But it's like that's his truth. It sounds like religion may have had something to do with it, for sure. And Ed maybe doesn't want to admit that or come to terms with that, but it does sound like there is some truth to that.
1:05:36So, you know, also, you know, that there was some sort of, you know, control factor. He was getting successful and famous and his family members apparently told him, your life is too big. We need you to be smaller or something along those lines. And he believes some relatives were laying claim to his fortune and fame. Like, just that his life blowing up. And, I mean, it does track with when he started to really blow up. Yeah, and be successful. In the early 2010s, you know, when he was blowing up in the NFL. So, who knows. It always, maybe money had to do with it, too. Like, the family asked for money.
1:06:11Yeah. Aaron said no. Like, money makes people very weird. So, I wouldn't be surprised if when he was earning a shit ton of money, the parents were like, well, help us do this. Help us do that. And he's like, well, am I just a cash cow for you? Right, right. So, you know, money and fame complicates things. So, again, this is all speculation. Like, we don't really know what happened. And all of this is coming from Aaron's side where he's like, well, religion. And then they wanted, you know, to lay claim to my fortune and all these things. Like, who knows what's actually true? It's just interesting that the rest of the family is still tight, you know?
1:06:44Yeah. Okay, so then there's the Olivia Munn factor, which we said because the estrangement aligns with the start of their relationship in 2014, a lot of people blamed her. Like, she's like Yoko Ono or something. And, yeah, like, they speculated that, you know, Ed and Darla, Aaron's parents, didn't love that, you know, Olivia was very unfiltered and talked about their sex life in the press and the couple lived together before marriage and et cetera, et cetera. Wow. They're very traditional. the parents oh yeah allegedly and erin allegedly told them don't attack the woman i love olivia munn later said on watch what happens live with andy cohen that erin hadn't spoken to his parents for like eight months before we started dating so again she has completely denied that that had anything to do with it um in 2023 erin's dad ed attended a golf tournament to be close to erin they were able to speak briefly during the event hugging it and saying i love you to his son apparently brought Ed Rogers to tears, according to his own recollection shared in the Aaron Rogers biography.
1:07:48And in 2025, by the time Aaron secretly married a woman named, quote-unquote, Brittany... He's always doing these secret marriages. Remember when he, like, dropped the fact that he was engaged to Shailene Woodley in, like, 2022? Yeah, but at least she was real. Oh, Brittany. There's no proof that this person exists. What the fuck? So his family, by the time he secretly married this woman, his family did not know who she was. No one knows who she is. Family member told the Daily Mail, I get being secretive, but come on. Okay. So his relationship history, like we said, Olivia Munn, 2014 to 2017, they met at the 2014 ACM Awards and she claimed she didn't know he played professional football.
1:08:30I remember I think they were such a hot couple at the time. Do you remember this? Oh yeah, of course. Yeah. Yes. I was like, oh my God, goals. Like you have a beautiful actress and NFL player. What's not to love? They did red carpets together. And yeah, after they broke up, Olivia, like I said, was like, I was not the reason he didn't speak to his family. Okay. Like, stop blaming me. She says on that Watch What Happens Live that she actually tried to get him to mend the relationship with his family, but Aaron did not take the bait. So Danica Patrick was next. She is a NASCAR legend. They dated from 2018 to 2020.
1:09:06And she also apparently encouraged family healing, but didn't end up happening. So they actually bought a$28 million Malibu mansion together in cash. And Aaron made some controversial religious comments on Danica's podcast saying he couldn't believe in a God who wants to condemn most of the planet to a fiery hell, which reportedly devastated his parents. So maybe, you know, again, there is some truth there in terms of the religion thing causing a divide. Danica later described the breakup of sudden in one of the most painful times of her life. He then moved on to Shailene Woodley, who they dated from 2020 to 2022.
1:09:42And Shailene Woodley, as we know, is also very on the, you know, holistic medicine, wellness train. She doesn't have a cell phone. She makes her own soap. Yeah, yeah. She's very unrelatable. Yeah. Yeah. To me. So he revealed their engagement during his 2021 MVP speech and she actually defended his anti-vax stance at one point which is kind of is why I side-eye Shailene Woodley to this day uh for a couple reasons but mostly yeah she has a laundry list of weird things yeah she's just like a weirdo yeah um sources said he was putting football first and they were barely spending any time together this also aligns with when he won NFL MVP two seasons in a row so he was really like you know leaving it all on the field as they say Yeah.
1:10:28She has said that something really awful and traumatic happened in early 22, alluding to this being when the breakup happened. She also said that she decided to remain in a toxic situation because she found herself empathizing with someone else, adding empathy kind of kept me in this loop of feeling everything for everyone, whatever that means. But she alluded to it being kind of like a toxic relationship. So mid-2022, he starts dating an influencer named Blue of Earth on Instagram, but her real name was Charlotte Brewerton. And this was never publicly— Is she a yoga teacher? She sounds like she'd be a yoga teacher.
1:11:04Basically, yeah. Something like that. This relationship was never publicly confirmed by the couple, but people figured it out. She was a self-described medicine woman who hosts a podcast called Deja Blue and founded a modern mystery school for women. But this is the kind of girl he needs, actually. This is the perfect type for him. Yeah, it's like they sound compatible. Yes, the modern mystery school for women. And he can host like a brother retreat with like the modern mystery. And like talk about like conspiracy theories. Yeah, exactly. They dated while he was living a solitary life for 18 months before the 2023 season with the Jets.
1:11:40They reportedly did ayahuasca together on a darkness retreat. When she was stranded in Peru during civil unrest, she publicly shaded Erin on Instagram for not helping. Um, she made a cryptic Instagram post to her followers sharing insights about love and friendships and marriage. Her story post featured the text, My life is filled with the souls of women I love, the ones who make my belly ache from laughter, who catch my tears. Um, she eventually became friends with Danica Patrick, so his other ex-girlfriend. So I'm sure they bonded over Aaron being a weirdo. So in 2014 is apparently when he met Brittany, quote unquote, his current quote unquote wife.
1:12:17So she was first mentioned by name on the Pat McAfee show in December 2024. No public photos of her exist. No marriage certificate has been found. She's never appeared at a game. Erin's close friend, A.J. Hawk, learned about the relationship on live television. But Erin reveals that they actually first met in 2017 and that she told him she'd never live in Green Bay and didn't want to be a player's wife. And that she then moved back across the pond, suggesting British origins. Who knows? Yeah. Like he has talked about her wanting privacy and not wanting to be a celebrity. But like it all draws more attention to her because it's like, who is this person?
1:12:59That is so crazy that we've never seen. Yeah. Yeah. We've never seen photos. No one knows if she even exists. Like it's really weird. So this ladders back up to one of the biggest rumors that has plagued him for a really long time, which is the speculation that he's closeted. And this has followed him for pretty much his entire career. Yep. And many blind items that are written about it. Many, many, many blind items have been written about it. It's just been speculated by pretty much everyone online for a really long time. And I don't even know how it started. People say that his relationship with Kevin Lanfleazy, his former personal assistant who lived with him in Green Bay for several years starting around 2008, that that's when it kind of started.
1:13:43um other people cited that you know um like when he was early on in his career in the locker room he didn't like engage in like locker room talk that other players did talking about their you know all the women they fucked and all in their like dick size and stuff and that they were kind of like why is he so quiet about you know women and stuff like that which again is not like hard But this Kevin Lanfleazy apparently wore Aaron's Super Bowl MVP ring in photos, which again is not evidence to me. He was reportedly the first person that Aaron embraced after winning the Super Bowl. Again, not really hard evidence.
1:14:22Attended award shows with him, color coordinated with him, posted cryptic tweets after apparently moving out. and it's also been alleged, this is really interesting to me, that Aaron had agreed to come out publicly as part of a group of NFL players, but backed out at the last minute. What? Which apparently infuriated Kevin. And thinking about that reminds me of like Heated Rivalry. I know you don't watch Heated Rivalry, but it's like, think about how many of these players that are in this ultra masculine, like locker room environment and are in the public eye and they're seen as, you know, these heroes to men everywhere.
1:14:57They feel like they can't come out. Yeah. And when you have this celebrity, if you're Aaron Rodgers, too, like you're not only a football player, but you are a celebrity, too. Like there's plenty of football players that aren't celebrities. But like if I know who you are, then you're a celebrity. Absolutely. Absolutely. Like just the spotlight is on them. I mean, we talk about it all the time, too, with like these leading men in Hollywood that don't want to come out of the closet because it may affect their career. And And I'm sure all these players that are closeted probably feel the same way.
1:15:26It's like, how will this affect my bottom line? It takes a lot of bravery for, you know, a player in sports. There was one NFL player. What was his name? He played for the Raiders who came out. His name was Carl Nassib. And he made history in June 2021 as the first active NFL player to come out as gay while playing for the Las Vegas Raiders. And that was really brave of him. Like, that's a very challenging thing to do. But the idea of NFL players all banding together to come out as gay and then backing out on that is interesting to think about, if that's true. So he directly addressed the rumors on Milwaukee radio in early 2014.
1:16:07He said, I'm just going to say I'm not gay. I really, really like women. This also aligned with his relationship with Olivia Munn, which people said, oh, the rumors are so loud that he needs a beer. So that's why he's dating Olivia Munn. But again, there has been no like concrete evidence. It's not like he has been like seen canoodling with a man or anything like this is complete speculation and just rumors. And people also theorize that the reason that Britney Britney's identity is hidden is because he's actually married to a man. People have speculated that it's potentially a rapper formerly known as Mike Studd.
1:16:43So these photos that you linked, they do seem very cozy together. Yeah. So. Wow. I mean, this is actually shocking. I've not heard of this theory that he's actually married to a man. So just to describe these photos, and we can post these on Instagram, there's one of them on a beach with a dog. There's one of them sitting at a baseball game taking a selfie together. There's one of them with Aaron's arm around him taking a selfie. Another one where they're clearly talking on some show, sitting next to each other. But, like, they're not, like, kissing or, like, canoodling or anything. They just seem like they could like you could write it off as their good friends.
1:17:20But people are like, this is actually his real life love interest. Yeah. And then in his book, like I said, some of those early Packers teammates were like the first people to question his sexuality because, you know, the locker room, they were like, what's his deal? You know, we're all bragging about our sexual conquest. He doesn't. And then he became kind of it's kind of sad that they like apparently like bullied him a little bit. Oh, my God. That is sad. Isn't that kind of sad? It's like you could be like the biggest piece of shit. And then as soon as I find out you were bullied or like something like that, I'm like, oh, my God.
1:17:52Well, and then not only are you bullied, but like you said, it's in a hyper masculine environment. So it's like, OK, well, now I'm not coming out because I'm getting fucking bullied to death. Yeah. Behind the scenes and in public. Like I have undoubtedly if this is actually true, I don't blame him for being fearful of coming out if he is gay. And Sophie and I never speculate on people's sexualities on this show. But I think the rumors of Aaron Rodgers are so in the press. Like, we have to talk about it. Yeah, we can't talk about Aaron Rodgers. Yeah, we can't discuss Aaron Rodgers without discussing the rumors because he's even addressed them, you know.
1:18:27But yeah, apparently Brett Favre would bully him a lot and, like, would make fun of him a lot. And Brett Favre also has been known to be a fucking piece of shit for years now. He apparently embezzled money from a charity just a few years ago. So that's a whole other thing that we can discuss at another date. Brett Favre, not Brett Michaels, Christy. So that is sad. I know I shouldn't feel bad for Aaron Rodgers, but picturing him being like forced to be closeted potentially. Again, this is all speculative, but like if this is true and he has been closeted because he was bullied from the first day he entered an NFL locker room, that's really sad.
1:19:06No one deserves to, you know, everyone deserves to live their truth, you know. But in 2024, Aaron denied these rumors again in an interview with Sports Illustrated. He said, I was upset with the framing of these rumors because it was meant to shame the idea of being gay. And I have so many friends that are gay in the community. So he said, I'm like, say anything you want about me. But do you understand these people are using this to shame the idea of being gay? That's just disrespectful to all of my friends who are in the community who don't believe that it's a choice. They were making it seem like you're shaming people for being gay when a lot of them, if you ask them, they didn't ask for this life.
1:19:43This is who I am. So he also said this to his biographer, Ian O 'Connor. He said, these people with homophobic views, not in relation to me because I can give a shit what they thought about me, but I want to go after them because they're using this to shame. Like it's a bad thing to be gay. Like it's a negative. So even if he's not gay, he's at least an ally, which is also surprising given his very like conservative views on a lot of other things that he is very clearly a staunch ally of the LGBTQ plus community. So at least there's that. So I don't know. Again, this is pure speculation. He has denied the rumors.
1:20:22So let's talk very quickly about the conspiracy theorist that is Aaron Rodgers. Like I always say, everything is a conspiracy theory when you're a fucking idiot. And for Aaron Rodgers, everything is a conspiracy theory. Even 9-11. Former teammate Deshaun Kaiser revealed that in his first quarterback meeting with Aaron in 2018, Aaron shut the door and asked, you believe in 9-11? Then told him to read up on that. And he also discussed inner earth, the moon landing, and reptile people. What does he mean 9-11? Like, it didn't happen? Like we saw so many videos. Or a lot of people like to say it was an inside job.
1:21:03Oh, God. Oh, God. Please, Baby Starks, if you're a 9-11 truther, do not reveal yourself in the comments because that's really alarming. I really hope you aren't. Like I've said before, I have pretty much consumed every single piece of media on 9-11, every book, every documentary. One of my favorite books of all time is called Fallen Rise by Mitchell Zukov. And it's like a minute by minute breakdown of 9-11. And the facts are all out there. There is no conspiracy theory when it comes to 9-11. Yeah, I think the government knew that, like, we probably knew a law with intelligence, but I don't think it was an inside job.
1:21:40Like, I think we knew something was bubbling up. We could be on the brink of attack, but I don't think that. But it was not like the CIA. Right, right, right, right, right. My God, it's like so alarming. Yeah. God, I can't. You just know also that Aaron Rodgers, like, hates Jews. Like, I just feel like conspiracy theorists, there's always—that's why I personally, like, am like, I cannot fuck with conspiracy theorists because it always leads to, like, anti-Semitism. Anti-Semitism, like, functions differently from a lot of other types of bigotry because it's rooted in conspiracy theory. God, like, he's such an idiot.
1:22:14Former teammate Seneca Wallace said Rogers would point at jet contrails and suggest they caused cancer. CNN reported he told a journalist at the 2013 Kentucky Derby that Sandy Hook was actually a government inside job and that the children were actors. Oh, my. It's not funny. Being from Orange County, like, I've heard this, too. Like, living here, I hear that, too. Oh, my God. That is so fucking infuriating. No, I know. It's, like, really dark. Yeah. That is, like, if I met a Sandy Hook denier in real life, I actually would probably punch them in the face. Yeah. No, it's very, very dark-sided.
1:22:51Oh, my God. It makes me sick to myself. Like, I actually just got nauseous thinking about it. Like, oh, my God. No, I know. It's horrible. Aaron denied that this happened. He tweeted shortly after this, saying, As I'm on the record saying in the past, what happened in Sandy Hook was an absolute tragedy. I have never been of the opinion that the events did not take place. Again, I hope that we learn from this and other tragedies to identify the signs that will allow us to prevent unnecessary loss of life. My thoughts on Paris continue to remain with the families affected, along with the entire Sandy Hook community.
1:23:22And something about the way he phrased that, I'm like, I feel like he phrased it where he was like, I never said the events didn't take place. He's like, I'm not denying that it happened. You know, I just I have questions about the inside job and the actors. Like, I don't know. It's like so fucking annoying. On Eddie Bravo's podcast, he endorsed the Tartaria conspiracy theory and suggested the government created HIV and AIDS. And I had to look up what the Tartaria conspiracy theory is. It claims a technologically advanced global empire known as Tartaria was hidden from history, supposedly destroyed by a 19th century mud flood.
1:23:58Adherents believe magnificent, demolished, or neoclassical buildings worldwide were built by this civilization, which supposedly provided free wireless energy. This is like such a niche. That's when you know he's in deep. Like, I've heard a lot of conspiracy theories, but I've never heard of Tartaria. And so many conspiracy theories are like, why? Like, why? Like, what is the benefit in, like, historians hiding this from us? Like, what is being gained here? Like, I just don't understand it. Yeah. No, I know. It's so fucking stupid. I'm sorry. Like, I keep saying that, but I'm like, I just cannot get over how stupid this is.
1:24:32Like, conspiracy theories are so stupid. They are. Yeah. I mean, yeah, they are. And I know that, like, there are some that might, you know, like, I know that our friend of the pod shannon from fluently forward there are some that she like what's an example of one that shannon believes in well i think this isn't even a i think that epstein could very much be alive oh yeah yeah like that's or like he was murdered and i yeah and like that that whole i mean i think that this is tiptoeing in line but like a lot of the um epstein files were that we've read are very aligned with like conspiracy theories from like 2020 like oh this is kind of dark you know but i i think some conspiracy theories aren't like i don't want to write every single one off as bad because i think that like like um mk ultra for instance like we never talk about that but the government literally like wait what's that the government basically uh gave people drugs to um like lsd to um like for let me i'm not gonna i want to actually say this correctly like see the fact that you don't know okay a legal human experimentation designed and undertaken by the U.S.
1:25:36CIA to develop procedures and identify drugs that could be used in altering human behavior. So it basically fed people drugs and without them knowing or violating their consent. Oh, my God. I'd never heard of this before, but it has an actual Wikipedia page. Like, oh, no, no. This happened. So, you know, like, I'm shocked you haven't heard of this. No, no. Yeah. Huge thing. So I think that, like, there are other things like this that, like, have happened but haven't been, like, exposed yet. Yeah. Yeah, so I guess like the government is capable of doing a lot of crazy things such as MKUltra. Yeah.
1:26:06But often things are written off as conspiracy theories to make you think they're too crazy. But like crazier things have happened, I guess. Yeah. And I feel like also like so many, like totally. I think that conspiracy theories are often like a self-fulfilling prophecy. And I say this about like anti-Semitism too, where it's like everything that will show you that this is in fact not a conspiracy theory. that this actually like, it's like 9-11 was what it was. They'll be like, yeah, that's exactly what a government trying to hide something would say. You know, like it's like every piece of, every factual piece of evidence that's presented to a conspiracy theorist will be written off as part of the larger conspiracy, you know?
1:26:47Yeah. Yeah, yeah. So often like conspiracy theorists will fall into a deeper rabbit hole because it's such a self-fulfilling prophecy. But that's not to say that the government obviously is incapable of doing like fucked up secretive shit. They have entire like branches of government dedicated to that. I mean, like Edward Snowden, we could do a whole episode on him, how he said the government has been monitoring us for years. And he was a whistleblower. Now he's like literally he's he's in like in Russia because he can't return back to the U.S. Like I think there are certain things and conspiracies that are real.
1:27:17But like some of this stuff is incredibly dangerous. What he is saying. Do your own research. Like, do your don't believe this fuck. Um, he also claimed to have seen a UFO and near nuclear plant on the Pat McPhee show. Uh, he also says that he participated in five E experiences where you call in the aliens and use little green lasers to bring them in. Bring them out. Bring them out. Like, what do you mean? What do you mean bring them in? Like, they were just like, okay, we're here. I wait. I actually don't like you do believe in aliens. Oh, I think that like there's no way we live in this vast universe and there aren't like other life forms.
1:27:56Like I absolutely believe in aliens. I absolutely believe that like the government has probably information on aliens. Even Obama. Barack Obama recently did an interview where he said, I have never seen one, but I know that they exist. But there's no like Area 51 or anything like that. Right. Well, we're going to do an episode on Patreon about Missing 411. and Shannon actually introduced me to this, but it's basically about people that go into the wilderness to camp and they're never seen again. And there's a lot of theories that there's UFO activity that causes people to go missing in specific wilderness, like parks.
1:28:29It's like a huge correlation between people going missing in wilderness parks and like potential alien activity. Wow. Yeah. I swear, you guys, I'm not too crazy, but I... I love how we're like Aaron Rodgers, conspiracy theorist, and it's like, so... So have you heard of MKL? Which is not a conspiracy, but like, yeah. No, but like aliens, I think it's like pretty... I don't know. I feel like it's pretty normalized to believe in aliens because how we live in this vast universe. Like, there has to be other life forms. Exactly. And Earth, I think we've only been here for X number of years. But, like, life on other planets, what is the possibility of there not being Earth there?
1:29:03And we're, like, actually far more underdeveloped than they are. Oh, my God. That's so scary to think about. It is scary to think about. Yeah. Like, it should. Like, what if there's, like, a Christy and Sophie on another planet? They're doing snark bait, like, 2.0. like not only do they have like video across like Netflix and Hulu, but it's like holograms. Yeah. Like they're leveled up. Yeah. Oh, my God. They're like, please, no more. No more voices. Please. Yeah. Crazy, crazy to think about, but entirely plausible. But so many of these things that Aaron Rodgers spews are just not like not a thing.
1:29:37Yeah. For instance, Jimmy Kimmel basically accused of Jimmy Kimmel being in the Epstein files, which from what we've seen of the Epstein files, Jimmy Kimmel is not. And do I believe that there are so many people in Hollywood that, you know, I'm sure more shit will come out about them, whether it has to do with Epstein or what other nefarious activity they're doing? Sure. But to accuse of Jimmy Kimmel of being in the Epstein files, like without any evidence, is what are you even talking about? So on the Pat McAfee show in December 2023, he said, there's a lot of people, including Jimmy Kimmel, really hoping that the Epstein list doesn't come out.
1:30:16Jimmy Kimmel responded on X saying, dear asshole, your reckless words put my family in danger. And I'm sure like he's not lying about that. Like there are such crazy people that are so that listen to Aaron Rodgers and they're so radicalized by Aaron Rodgers conspiracies that they're like, let's get Jimmy Kimmel. He's a pedophile, which, of course, there is no evidence that he is. And he said, keep it up and we will debate the facts further in court. Like we said, Jimmy Kimmel's name was not in any Epstein documents. Aaron Rodgers has refused to apologize. Pat McAfee ultimately ended the Aaron Rodgers Tuesday for the season.
1:30:55He explained that he had become too much of a distraction. He said there are going to be a lot of people that are happy with that, myself included, to be honest. So that was the breaking point for Pat McAfee in terms of platforming Aaron Rodgers. ESPN's Dan Graziano has called Aaron Rodgers a con artist, a narcissist, self-absorbed to the absolute maximum. Deadspin has dubbed him Q Aaron and maintains a running feature called a beginner's compendium. How do you pronounce that? I think you pronounce it correctly, compendium, yeah. Compendium on Aaron Rodgers' stupidity. So again, a lot of people in sports media and sports in general do not take him seriously because of all of the crazy shit he has said.
1:31:39And that is completely understandable.
1:31:41Snark Bait Hosts:And that's Aaron Rodgers. Is there any better feeling in the entire world than getting into a clean bed after an amazing relaxing night shower and turning on old roni? No. And as I've gotten older, I realize luxury bedding is something you truly don't appreciate until you sleep in it. But like, who has the money to splurge on bedding in this economy? 1:34:07My day kicks off with a refreshing Celsius energy drink, then straight to the gym. Pre-K pickup, back home to meal prep. Time for my fire station shift. One more Celsius, gotta keep the lights on. When the three alarm hits, I'm ready. Celsius. Live. Fit. Go. Grab a cold, refreshing Celsius at your local retailer or locate now at Celsius.com. I think that when you have a platform as large as you, as large as he has, I mean, you can have these conversations maybe in private. Like, even if you do think that, I bet you so many other public figures probably have these conversations. Why are you saying that out loud about Sandy Hook being a hoax and about all this shit about COVID, calling out Jimmy Kimmel for being in the Epstein files?
1:34:51Like, keep it to your damn self. Like, we all have wacky people in our lives, but I don't know why he thinks it's appropriate to go on these very, very public platforms to dispel rumors that he knows are very controversial. Like, do you think you're moving the needle at all in terms of public opinion when you do these things? Like, you're just putting a target on your back. I think he, like, does think that. And that's why it's scary. Yeah, I am influencing people to not get vaccinated. Like, that's terrifying to me. I like the fact that Aaron Rodgers is so influential and that I think it was the responsible thing to do for Pat McAfee to say I am done platforming this loon.
1:35:24Like, I don't know. It's just it's kind of sad, honestly, because I think that he is like mentally unwell, honestly. Like, I don't know how else to describe it. Like, there's something very severely wrong with him. You have a history of, well, also with like, CTE is like a very real thing. You just don't know. Oh, and that's such a good point. The brain is a very complex part of our anatomy, the most complex. And sometimes brain injuries don't even come up in your life until decades later. Like there are things that brain surgeons and licensed physicians don't even fully understand about the brain.
1:36:04So I think it's very possible that these things coming out are a result of CTE. And I'm not saying people that think these things have CTE. I'm just saying that you just don't understand. No, that's such a good point. No, thank you for bringing that up. Like CTE is very real. It's been, you know, studied. It's something that can only be truly diagnosed after the person passes away. But yeah, it's a very real thing that NFL players, many of them have struggled with. Yeah. And that's why the NFL is a very, very, very dangerous sport. And it's very possible that Aaron Rodgers has gone off the deep end because of the, you know, getting hit in the head over and over again for however many years.
1:36:44He's been in the NFL for years now, not to mention, you know, high school and college football. So, yeah, like, yeah, you just don't know. And I think people that already have a predisposition for being a little bit, whether it be histrionic or narcissist or arrogant or whatever, these things could just present itself far more strongly than they would have otherwise done if you didn't experience CTE. So I think that, again, I'm not saying if you have CTE, then you're this or that. I'm just saying CTE, we can't not call that out because it's very scary. Yeah, no, thank you for bringing that up.
1:37:18It's very real. And I think it's not an excuse. It's not an excuse. It explains a little bit why he may have gone off the deep end because it's not clear that he was always like this, you know? Yeah. And unfortunately for his family, like, they don't even know who he is. If you think about it, he's probably been out of their lives just as much as they were. He was in their lives. At this point, he's a full-fledged adult who has experienced many things that his family doesn't even understand. So at this point, does the family even really know their son? I would be willing to say they don't. I mean.
1:37:52Yeah. Your 30s are very formative years, and he's in his 40s. I mean, he's in his mid-40s, so he's probably done a lot of growth and change, and I doubt he's recognizable to his brothers and his parents. Yeah. Which is sad. Absolutely. Oh, what a weird person. Let us know, you guys, if there's anyone else in the sports world, in the NFL in particular, who you guys would like a deep dive on. I don't know. Was this our first, like, athlete that we've done? I'm trying to think. You did Joe Burrow for the public as a Patreon exclusive. Yes. Yes, yes, yes. that we did it airways. Yeah. Yeah. We did Joe Burrow on our Patreon and then also put it on the main feed.
1:38:28But yeah, let us know, you guys, if there's anyone else in the sports world. Aaron Rodgers is definitely the NFL's most divisive current player, though. That's for sure. He dips, he toes the line between pop culture and sports, like, perfectly. Yeah. And I think you hit both points, like, very well. So nice job. Thank you. Yeah, you guys, all of our show notes are, everything that we mentioned in this episode, like our Instagrams, our sub stack that releases every Friday with links Sophie and I are loving and just like reality TV recaps that Olivia does so beautifully for us, releases every Friday, our live show links, our Patreon links.
