2:11Christy Noel:Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Snark Bay. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. And today we are talking about the it girl of all it girls, Alex Earl. We're talking about her early life and background, her social media beginnings and her career taking off, her dating history. Yes, we're talking about the Braxton Berrios love triangle, her controversies. There are quite a few of them, her feud with Alex Cooper and so much more. So let's get into it. Let's do it.

2:56Christy Noel:Sophie, how's it going? How's it going? My sister-in-law, by the way, shout out Rachel, was like, I cannot deal with Christy's impression of you. She was like, it's so real. And she was like, yeah, you do give off rap boy energy. And I was like, what the fuck? It's so funny because I do have voices for all of my friends and they're always like, you always get it wrong. And I'm like, no, I get that Sophie sounds not one iota close to this Barney sounding frat boy voice that I give her. Again, it's an energy. You come in. Yeah. And the thing about me is I see people's like spirits and auras and that the color.

3:38Christy Noel:So for me, I see frat boy for Sophie Ross. You know what else I'm laughing at? We were just talking about, can I say it called JCB? Yeah. So back in our day, Christy and I are maybe quite older than some of you baby snarks out there. Back in our day, we had a forum for gossip, for college gossip, and every like university would have their own like forum. And Christy and I, I mean, we are purveyors of gossip, but we also are the recipients of it. And back in the day, we were talking about how we were both recipients of some mean, mean names on college ACB for mine. I was a McNutt slut and McNutt was the name of the dorm I lived in my freshman year of college.

4:28Christy Noel:Unfortunate building name, by the way. Very unfortunate. But yeah, I was a McNutt slut. So there was that. And then Christy told me hers. Five finger forehead. And listen, there are many things that I'm insecure about. Like I spent all my teens, all of my twenties, like very insecure. My big forehead was never on the list. So you know what? This is what I always say. When I hear criticism about myself or if someone like says something mean about me, if I know it's not true, like I don't, I let it like brush off my shoulder, similar to five forehead. But if you poke at an insecurity of mine, you better believe I'm sitting with that for the next 10 years.

5:03I literally have never, ever, ever looked at you and been like, hey big head like I've never thought that listen you know what Christy when we were talking about college ACV before this she goes five finger forehead I was like oh my gosh yeah and the

5:18Christy Noel:thing is I can learn that with pride because again if you think I have a big forehead that's totally fine I probably objectively do but it's not something I know at night do you know what I mean it doesn't keep you up at night it's but if you if you called me a Picasso face because my face is asymmetrical yeah I would stay up all night thinking about that I wouldn't do this show anymore if someone called me photo face okay no I literally I'm like my friend was telling me about this facial balancing that she did and I was like are you telling me that because I am a Picasso face there's so many you know regimented like facials and it's not another thing I'm like I doubt I'm sure it helps me like it's like with face gym yes our faces did look sculpted but that lasts all of maybe 12 hours.

6:03Yeah. It's literally like less than 24 hours. Like your face is kind of feedback.

6:07Christy Noel:That's called gravity. Yeah. You know? So what was I going to say? It's funny because when I think and reminisce about college ACB, it really is the OG Reddit and the dirty as well. Do you remember the dirty? No, I don't remember the dirty. I remember we were talking about Yik Yak and there was something else. I can't remember. It was about Greek life. There was a Greek life one, but I can't remember the name of it. Yeah. So it's just play a forum where people would talk about their peers. And if you went to a big school, it was so crazy to see your name on it. Cause you're like, I'm one of like, Sophie and I both went to public schools, college schools, but it's crazy to see your name.

6:44Christy Noel:And then people talking about your five finger forehead or the fact that you're a McNutt slut. But I think also when my sister was on it, my sister was shout out Mandy and her great rack. That's what it was that Amanda had a great rack. dude i'll take both of those over five finger forehead pretty clear yep like imagine the meanest thing said about you on this forehead is that she has a great rack like what wait wait you just said imagine the the best thing about you on this forehead i think you meant to say forehead Freudian slip Freudian slip she's seeing my forehead on stream yarn she's like no just kidding I literally have never noticed that about you but you do not you objectively do not have a big forehead you know what and some will disagree and that's okay I'm willing to live with that you know the thing about me and you we're both pretty self-aware unfortunately we know we have annoying voices we're annoying period and you know what i've been annoying since i was born probably same with you that's just our personalities that's why we were nominated for biggest gossip in high school yeah exactly we're we share the same brain so speaking of i always try and segue i don't know you're clever college speaking of college students speaking of college students that made it big like me and sophie i'm being sarcastic guys please don't take that and on with it.

8:11Christy Noel:Let's talk about Alex Earl today. TikTok's biggest star. I would argue she's not even a TikTok star. She's a full blown celebrity at this point. We've talked about Alex Earl many a time on this show on Snarkbait. I know you're less of a viewer, a voyeur of her content, but what are your thoughts and feelings on Alex Earl as we stand here today on October 14th, 2025? I know that she definitely has had her scandals, I guess, problematic moments for sure. But overall, I think that she is someone who has, like we said, kind of transcended TikTok. Like she is like a full-blown celebrity. And even my older coworkers and people that typically would not relate to a college student or 22-year-olds get ready with me is they just love her personality.

9:01There's something about her personality that is so relatable, inviting, makes sense that she has become such a huge star. Like she's just good at what she does. Yeah.

9:12Christy Noel:And the interesting thing with Alex Earl, she came up seemingly like very quickly, but she was kind of one of the OG kind of girly pop get ready with me's on the app in early 2020. She didn't come across my desk until around 2022. I think it wasn't even at that point. I was like, who is this girl? And it's crazy to see her growth and trajectory in the last three years. Yeah. So I'm excited to kind of get into her background, her family, the scandal surrounding her family that she was very open about on Call Her Daddy, the many scandals that she's experienced. I think we're all pretty familiar with her using the N-word on this like F, not on Twitter, it was like some other forum, but these - Ask FM.

9:51Christy Noel:Yeah, Ask FM. These, I'm going to call it tweets. I know it's not tweets, but these tweets resurfaced recently of her using the N-word, not once, but like many a time back in, I think, like 2014. So we're going to get into all those scandals. There's many other scandals that I actually was not aware of that we're going to cover on our notes today. So let's get into it. So who is Alex Earl if you're unfamiliar and you've been living under a rock? So she's an influencer by trade. Now I would say she's a full-blown celebrity. Born December 16th, 2000. So she's turning 25 this year in a couple months.

10:21Christy Noel:She grew up in Monmouth County. Is that how I pronounce it? Monmouth County, New Jersey? Monmouth, I think. Monmouth, okay. Yeah. Which is a very nice beach area. She grew up very wealthy. and I recall seeing her episode on Call Her Daddy back in 2023 of Alex Cooper going to Alex Earl's family home. And it's like a castle. It's very nice. Her father, TJ, runs a construction company that's very successful. It was actually already an Earl family business and her father had taken it over. So generational, I think, entrepreneurship and wealth, it seems. Yeah. Alex's parents broke up when she was only 12 years old.

10:59Christy Noel:Her dad had an affair with Ashley Dupree, who he's now married to. And if you guys are familiar with that name, Ashley Dupree was the former escort who was involved in the Elliott Spitzer scandal back in 2008. In March 08, Ashley was at the center of a scandal when then New York Governor Elliott Spitzer was investigated by the FBI after he was caught spending money on an escort service. And Ashley Dupree at the time was only 23, which it's crazy. She was younger than Alex Earl is now when this scandal unfolded. And it turned out she She was the escort that was hired through the service and she became the subject of national scrutiny.

11:32Christy Noel:We were still, I feel like not living in the Northeast. I didn't hear about this. Oh my God. I remember this so vividly. It was 2008. So I was still in high school. I was really young, but I remember this being such huge news. It was on the cover of every tabloid. When Alex Earl came onto our TikTok screens, do you, did you put it together or did you find out? No, it was only later when I saw people making that connection. I was like, oh my God, that's crazy. Yeah. So this scandal with Ashley and Elliot Spitzer led to Spitzer's resignation and then his wife divorcing him a year later. And interestingly enough, Ashley was involved in an affair with Alex's father that same year in 08, which drew, of course, public attention to the Earl family.

12:17Christy Noel:And it was a very public thing. Of course, you had heard about it. Many had heard about it, which led to a lot of bullying for Alex when she was younger. So she recalls coming home from school one day and there were a ton of paparazzi outside of her home. And she said she was only about seven or eight at this time. And she was so overwhelmed. Her family was so overwhelmed by all the press that they were getting that she had to stay at her cousin's house for a few days to avoid all the press. And just a year later after the scandal, Alex's parents separated. And Alex recalls in her call her daddy interview that she found an iPad and she saw that her family was like it was a media storm surrounding her family.

12:51Christy Noel:And she felt like she was living a lie her entire year. And she told Alex Cooper in 2023, the past two years of my life had felt like a lie. I'd been reading articles about what had happened, about the times my dad had taken me to go get ice cream. And it's really because there were paparazzi outside my house and he's been hiding us from them. I felt like my whole world crashed down in that moment. And a couple of years later, five years later, after this whole scandal between Elliot Spitzer, Ashley, and then TJ ends up marrying Ashley in 2013. And they end up having three kids together who are often featured in Alex's content.

13:21Christy Noel:So we have Isabel, who's the oldest, born in 2012, Penelope, who's the middle child, and then Thomas, who is the youngest. And they're very much a blended family with Alex and Ashton, who are the OG TJ kids, with Alex's mom. Alex has talked in her TikToks about how, despite the fact that they really appear like some Brady Bunch type of family, a very blended family, her mom hangs out with Ashley. They do TikToks together. They seem very tight. Alex has been open about the fact that that's that was far from the truth when the whole scandal broke out and I really have to commend Alex's mom for kind of pushing their differences aside and really keeping a blended family for the sake of the children I guarantee if there were no children involved Ashley I mean excuse me Ashton's Ashton and Alex's mom would have no reason to be close with TJ with Ashley yeah mom is a better woman than I yeah for the sake of the kids it's good that she is such a good co-parent.

14:19Christy Noel:Right. Alex, she kind of got her start just in college. So she was a marketing major at the University of Miami. She joined the Delta Zeta sorority. And I think she originally had some, she admits that when she was rushing for a sorority at University of Miami, there was a preference night and she wanted to get this top house. I don't know what that was at Miami at the time. But she ended up not getting that sorority of her choice. And that was really devastating for her. She thought of even wanting to transfer schools after she got axed from the sorority of her choice. Imagine being that sorority.

14:56Christy Noel:No, seriously. And I think that's why people find Alex Earl relatable because she, and we'll get into her like her Accutane and acne struggles, but she has a seemingly perfect life. She's tall, thin, blonde, everything about her. She's the real life Serena Vanderwoodson. But at the same time, she also struggled with like not getting her first pick in her sorority life. She has struggled with acne severely. She struggles with mental health and panic attacks. So I think that's why people were really gravitated towards her in the early onsets of TikTok. So she began posting to TikTok in February of 2020 when the app first took off and she became Gen Z's most influential TikTok creator.

15:37Christy Noel:She posted, get ready with me's acne struggles, mental health, plastic surgery, college life, her fit checks, et cetera. And of course, she's absolutely stunning. She has huge boobs, skinny, blonde, white, you get it. And I think she also, for what it's worth, I think she has been open about getting a boob job. Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Exactly. Her plastic surgery as it pertains to her boob job. Yeah. And when she began posting on the app, I felt like TikTok back then was dancing and more off the cuff stuff. It's far more curated. You have your day in my life. So it wasn't that back then. At first she was posting things like other creators were college clips, getting ready for games, tailgates, her and her friends partying.

16:17Christy Noel:She definitely did portray that baddie persona, that very Kylie Jenner, baddie era, thotty, hot college girl. And in 2021 to 2022, that's when she started to be more open about her acne and her being prescribed Accutane, which is very relatable for so many of us that have struggled with acne. She would post like really gnarly pictures of her skin and her entire face was broken out like severely, like cystic acne, whiteheads. Like it was really honestly graphic photos of her skin and people felt automatically close to her. There's the girl that has it all. She's the real life Serena Vanderwood.

16:54Christy Noel:But she also struggles with acne and the parasocial relationship with Alex became incredibly intense. And I think something else that Alex was super good at was she was good at just talking to the camera directly as if you were on FaceTime with her. And I've tried to do this, and I'm sure many of you that are on TikTok have tried to as well. Alex makes it look very, very easy when, in fact, it's actually a very difficult skill to master, to feel effortless on camera. Would you agree? Oh, I completely agree. I always feel so awkward when I talk to the camera. And she just has that. She's just good at it.

17:25And people feel like they're her best friend.

17:29Christy Noel:right and by the end of 2022 that showed she had gained millions of followers just two years into the app and what I found was kind of interesting is she was really the first to do it as it pertains to the get ready with me format so she was really good at talking candidly to the camera while putting on makeup describing the products that she was putting on her face and there were shots of her in her messy dorm room or her messy apartment and it made you feel like you were in the room with her. She came off very authentic and very relatable. Yeah. Wait. So another thing about her. So I think her messiness is also something that, like you said, it made her very relatable.

18:07People are like, oh, my God, she's so beautiful, but she is disgusting. Her dorm room would be or not her dorm room. She was living in like an apartment with her friends in college. And like it was just disgusting. And she even she would show a dress in her closet that had throw up on it because she had thrown up on it when she was drunk and never cleaned it, which is obviously disgusting. But people were like, oh my God, she's so pretty, but she's messy and dirty. There's something like, obviously people are like, that's gross. I've actually turned off by that. But a lot of people found it very relatable.

18:41Christy Noel:Yes. I think that's a very good point that there was a huge juxtaposition between all these content creators that portray such beautiful, aesthetic photos. And sometimes I look at these Instagrams or these TikToks and I'm left frustrated with my own home or my own closet. And I'm like, why doesn't my home look like that? Why don't I have beautiful, whatever, tchotchkes or clothing? And something with Alex Earl is she was the antithesis to all of that, but still fabulous and still beautiful. And I think a lot of creators will be very hard pressed to do what she does in portraying a messy, disgusting house all the time while still having the cult following that she does.

19:19Christy Noel:But I think a lot of it has to do with the halo effect and her being so naturally beautiful. I say naturally in quotes because there's a lot of discussion about whether or not she's gotten a nose job or the cosmetic enhancements that she's had to her face that make her look so much more stunning than – I mean, she was always very pretty, but she looked more stunning than she did even early 2020. But the Get Ready With Me was the perfect invention for an influencer like herself because people started to see all of her influence and the products that she was using, they wanted to buy. And the products that she would use on her Get Ready With Me would often sell out.

19:51Christy Noel:And they started to call it the Alex Earl effect. So she started to obtain brand deals with Too Faced, Tarte, Uggs, Rare Beauty, Road. And I remember when I was a toaster, Claudia Oshry had attended a Rare Beauty event in New York City, and she kept talking about this girl, Alex Earl. Alex Earl is the biggest name in TikTok. Alex Earl is going to be there at this Rare Beauty event. I'm excited to meet Alex Earl. And I kept thinking, who is this person? And that's crazy to think that. I think that was in 2022. And now Alex Earl seems to be a household name. It just shows you how far we've come.

20:20Let's take a quick ad break to talk about Factor. You guys probably know this by now, but I am not good at cooking. Being good at cooking would make my life so much more convenient, healthier, and cost efficient. But alas, I'm almost always finding myself ordering and making an excuse to go out to dinner or whipping up something super easy and often unhealthy at home. but that has all changed now that I've discovered factor factor meals are ready in minutes packed with protein and other nutrients. And most importantly to me, actually delicious. And I'm not just saying that Christie and I were on the phone the other night talking about how amazing our factor dinners were.

22:01Christy Noel:So she started attending bigger brand events and brushing shoulders with celebs. She was seen at New York Fashion Week at the ESPYs. Her profile got bigger and bigger. And by August of 2024, she had$4 million on IG and over$7 million on TikTok. And she was reportedly worth around$6 million. And during college, she made about$5 million in one year, according to Forbes. Fast forward to today, she's a full-fledged celeb and she's on Dancing with the Stars. And I feel like she kind of even revitalized Dancing with the Stars because I feel like that show was where washed up celebrities went to kind of get their career back up.

22:37Christy Noel:Now we have her and she's like, I don't know, she's made Dancing with the Stars cool again. Do you feel that same way? Oh, for sure. I completely agree. Because I think of Misha Barton being on Dancing with the Stars and love Misha, but her career has been totally flatlined for like over a decade at this point. Yeah, but you have someone that is at the height of their career going on Dancing with the Stars, like Alex Earl. So it's like reframing it for sure. Yes, I'm curious what that paycheck looks like for her to even get her in the door because I'd imagine it's huge. Yeah, it's probably big, but it's also, I think, just worth doing, even if the paycheck isn't massive, because it's introducing her to an entirely new audience.

Read the full transcript

23:16It's introducing her to our parents' generation, you know?

23:20Christy Noel:Wait, that's such a good point because as it pertains to mainstream media, people wouldn't know her. People know her if you're a digital person or if you're young or you're probably under 40. But those that only watch cable television or ABC or the nightly news are tuning in to see Alex Earl weekly. Yeah, exactly. So let's talk about her dating life. In 2022, she started to date this man named Tyler Wade, albeit it was a very short-lived relationship. They were together for three months. He's currently a baseball player for the San Diego Padres and he used to play for the Yankees and Alex would refer to him as baseball boy.

23:53He is six years her senior and she was still in college while dating Tyler,

23:58Christy Noel:which I always find to be very bizarre. Yeah, that's actually really weird. Like, why are you as, I don't know if he was like 28, 27 at the time. It's very weird. I mean, question mark. Yeah. What do you talk about? Exactly. Alex attended a wedding, went to MLB games with him. And I guess how they met was they originally matched on Raya and then Tyler Wade slid into Alex's DMs. And he had asked her to come out to California one night and she drunkenly responded, allegedly, that she would if he bought her her ticket. And he did. I think it's there's been a lot of noise about Tyler not being the most faithful to Alex during their very short relationship.

24:38Christy Noel:And I think it's really common for baseball and basketball players to cheat, honestly because of the schedule how frequently they are away from home I think with football players they're less I don't want to make generalizations but I think just due to the timing of the schedules baseball and basketball players are away from home therefore the ability to cheat is much easier but yeah yeah I think that's a good point I think just for context with like NFL there are only 17 games in an NFL schedule not including the playoffs and only half Half of those are away. So that's like, what's half of 17?

25:11Like seven.

25:12Christy Noel:Yeah, like eight and a half. Eight and a half. I'm like, like eight and a half. Just dumb and dumber. That's only eight games where they're away. Versus basketball and baseball have so many more games a season and so much more time on the road. Right. So I'd imagine how, you know, you're a young college girl dating this, who doesn't have a following yet. you're dating this guy who's the seasoned MLB player. He's away. I'd imagine that was incredibly hard for a young Alex. So in December, 2022, she announced their breakup in a live stream. She started shit talking him. She was pretty off the cuff, later regretted it.

25:49Christy Noel:But she said, you know, we haven't been together for a hot minute. I've been hiding it from you guys because I didn't feel like dealing with it right now. Even stuff I posted of me and my boyfriend, we were not even dating. We've been fighting for a bit. I was not happy with the way I was feeling. he wouldn't post me. We went to a wedding and we got all these good photos together and two selfies of him. And he was like, oh, how many pictures should I post? And I was thinking, oh, he's going to post me. And he ended up not posting her. And she said they broke up because they argued frequently and he refused to post about the relationship or be featured on any of her platforms.

26:18Christy Noel:And he exhibited really toxic behavior. According to Alex, she felt like she lacked support from him with her blossoming social media career. And he would criticize everything she did and would often put her down. There is nothing more of a turnoff than a man who is feeling emasculated by a successful woman. Yeah, gross. Disgusting. She said that she had hidden the breakup for weeks and ultimately when she went on live stream, her comments went viral and everyone started to talk about the breakup. And she explains when she talks about that relationship, she says he was really nice at first and then we started dating.

26:51Christy Noel:And at the same time, I started taking a following on social media. And for some reason that just sent him spiraling. that was just not okay for him, which like we all know that insecure type of a man. Like you have everything, dude. You're an MLB player. You make tons of money. You have this young girl. Stop like yucking her yum. She's trying to make it on her own. Like it's, I don't like this. Yeah. But people have given Alex a lot of criticism because they say that Alex seems really bitter over him still relaxed. It was only a three-month relationship. It's very strange. I mean, I've been upset for much less, but yeah not judging her no not judging her at all for being bitter over an asshole ex doesn't matter how short-lived the relationship was agreed let's talk about her relationship with Braxton Berrios that she who she's with today so they started dating in 2023 and there were rumors I think this is when she actually got pushed up into the zeitgeist the cultural zeitgeist even more because everyone knew her on TikTok but when there was all this cheating allegations between Sophia Braxton and Alex I feel like she came up even more on the headline so there were rumors that Alex was dating Miami Dolphins receiver in the spring of 2023 and yes Braxton Berrios and in March of 2023 she sparked relationship rumors she was making a TikTok saying that she was cooking sushi for a date with a mystery man and this was right off the heels of Sophia Colpo announcing her and Braxton's breakup after two years in March 23rd 2023 sorry just the breeze cooking sushi is funny.

28:24She's like, I'm cooking sushi, cooking sushi. I don't know. I just thought that was funny.

28:29Christy Noel:Good on her, dude. I could never make sushi. But you're not cooking sushi. Right. You're like assembling sushi. So Sophia Culpo on March 23rd, so two days after Alex was cooking sushi for this new man, Sophia posted this TikTok of her and her sister saying single sisters come and get her. This was clearly in comparison to her older sister, Olivia, who at the time was engaged to Christian McCaffrey. They weren't engaged yet, but they were very seriously dating. Oh, okay, okay. Who was dating Christian McCaffrey. And Sophia was using hashtags on the TikTok of hashtag so single, hashtag single life, hashtag breakup TikTok.

29:04Christy Noel:So everyone was like, holy shit, did Sophia and Braxton break up? And also, who is this person that was just featured in Alex's TikTok two days ago? And later we come to find out that Sophia and Braxton had split in January 2023, two months again before this sushi date with Alex and Braxton. Yeah. And it wasn't even just, again, I'm a Culpo sister connoisseur. I feel like it wasn't even just like the hinting at infidelity. They straight up were saying that Olivia was at a Super Bowl party in, I guess, New Orleans. I think. No, no, not New Orleans. No, it was New Orleans. It was New Orleans. New Orleans Super Bowl party early 2023, February.

29:45and she again like we said is dating NFL star Christian McCaffrey at the time basically saw Braxton making out with that and Braxton at the time was fully dating Sophia making out with they did not name Alex but it's obviously we know it's Alex making out with Alex while he was supposed to be dating Sophia he he full-on according to their vantage point full-on cheated on Sophia in public with Alex.

30:14Christy Noel:Sophia was not shy to call him out and provide receipts, actually. So in April of 2023, Sophia talked about the breakup in an IG Q &A. She mentioned the betrayal in her last relationship. She said it took a toll on her. She was thankful for her support system that allowed her to move forward. But again, to your point, she hinted at infidelity, which fueled the rumors that Alex was involved with this cheating. And in April of 2023, Dumois posted a blind item that Alex and Braxton were in fact dating. In May of 2023, Alex and Braxton were seen publicly for the first time out and about together. There was a TikTok video that surfaced of a fan meeting Alex in Miami and Braxton Berrios was right next to her.

30:54Christy Noel:That same month in May of 2023, Braxton attended Alex's grad party. In June of 2023, Alex and Braxton went to a Miami heat game and they also attended a music festival together. But Alex still claims, no, no, no, we're not dating yet. We're just like friends. And Alex was replying to comments on TikToks of hers where fans were asking about Braxton. And she kept saying, I don't have a boyfriend. Fans would ask questions like, are we not going to mention Braxton? And Earl replied, we went to a game together. Yes. Ha ha. Another person commented, Alex, I saw you with your boyfriend to which Alex replied, I don't have a boyfriend, but you guys def saw us.

31:31Christy Noel:Ha ha ha ha. and later that summer they go to the hamptons together and in the back of her tiktoks you can see a man's arm and they attend a few more events in the hamptons together and of course sophie is out here she sees the biggest girl on tiktok one of the biggest influencers to date with her man that he allegedly cheated on sophia with and june 27th 2023 braxton has no choice but to let his fans know what's up as it pertains to Sophia's allegations. So he goes on IG Live and he addresses these cheating rumors head on, which I remember seeing this. I remember my eyes rolled to the back of my head.

32:09Christy Noel:I'm like, I can't with this guy. So cringy. Cringe. I'm inclined to always believe the woman. Why would Sophia lie about this? Right. And why are you as an NFL player? It's like we're doing PR damage control. Go focus on football. Go do laps. Do the like the runs or whatever. Like, stop going weird in your Jeep and taking Instagram stories. I remember just being so icked out by this. It is Jeep. It is. Like, he probably has a G-Wagon. Like, I don't know. It was so gross. So I remember seeing this. Eyes rolled to the back of my head. I'm like, ugh. This is when I started to hate him. He went on to explain that his split with Sophia back in Jan was simply due to the reason that had nothing to do with anyone else or anything else.

32:50Christy Noel:He claimed it had nothing to do with anybody else for that matter. Ugh. I just, I also, this is, again, this is not Braxton's fault. His name just pisses me off too. Yeah, because like, why is your name Braxton? It's such an Instagram 2018 trend when you would announce the birth of your baby with, not the chalkboard, that thing where you would put the letters on like the wood slats. No, it's crazy. Like it definitely feels like a 2019 name. It's like a very modern, it sounds like one of those made up names. like Bryson Brayden. Yeah. Brayden's a real name, but like Brad, I don't know. It just sounds like an.

33:29Christy Noel:It's crazy that he was born in 1995. I just had to check. It's crazy that in 1995, his parents were like, yeah, let's name him Braxton. Wait, that's low key kind of innovative of his parents. They did it before they were, they were like 15 years early to the trend. If you think about it, trailblazers. No, really. But imagine being a grandfather who's named Braxton. Like that just doesn't come from me. Imagine being a grown man named Braxton. He just bothers me. I'm sorry. I'm sorry if you guys like him. Yeah, okay. Because everyone gives me shit for hating him. I'm like, oh, she deserves better.

34:02Oh, no. Oh, my God. Alex could do so much better. I think that he also has, he has, what's it called? Napoleon syndrome, where I feel like he's overcompensating because he's a very small, he has a small stature. I feel like he's just like overcompensating. He's so pompous and just like, oh, I don't like him.

34:22Christy Noel:No, he's so pompous. Also, I want to just make sure that the Super Bowl did happen in New Orleans because I don't want to get that wrong. It was 2023. State Farm Stadium. OK, where is State Farm? Oh, Arizona. OK, sorry. It was Arizona. Sorry. I'm getting New Orleans because there was something else that happened in New Orleans. That was the Alex Cooper and Alex Earl beef. Sorry. Yeah, there's always something in New Orleans. But yeah, this was Arizona in 2023. Yes. So there's always beef as it pertains to Alex Earl and the Super Bowl, it appears. Yeah. So June 28th, 2023, Sophia is like after on the heels of Braxton's little announcement on his little Instagram story in his little Jeep.

35:01Christy Noel:Sophia accuses Braxton of cheating on her on Instagram the same day that Alex is seen on the red carpet with Braxton at the SPS. So she posted a real timeline in a now deleted TikTok. She said the real timeline. We broke up after the Drake concert Super Bowl weekend where he was seen making out with another girl, which is what Sophie was just saying. I'm not bitter. In fact, I know the situation has been one of my biggest blessings. And then she goes so far as to post texts between her and Braxton. And she posts this text from January. And Sophia asks, it seems like you've contemplated the alternative, though, to which Braxton responds, no, I haven't.

35:39Christy Noel:Don't read it. Don't read into that. And Sophia says, OK, so you want to be with me? and he responds yes I want to be with you then she goes okay back to serious talk and then he goes ha ha I'm going to the hurricanes people game with Robin 30 whatever then crazy she she posted another screenshot from a month later in Feb I really hope it doesn't blow up anymore but that's not it's kind of hard to read this because there's like the tiktok arrow but I don't know what she's saying I really hope it doesn't blow up into anything more and he goes it won't and I'll do everything in my power to make sure of it because I don't want to be associated with anything like that.

36:14Christy Noel:Obviously, you don't deserve that. And frankly, neither do I. I think they're talking post breakup. Yes. Yes. But it's crazy also because she posted this alongside a photo of Braxton carrying her dog in his backpack on February 13th, 2023, which is after he was apparently making out or wait Super Bowl 2023 date February 12th oh well literally the day after he was spotted making out with Alex Earl he was with Sophia and her dog yes yes so Sophia's out here you know acquiring pushing out receipts I believe her she has no reason to post all this if it weren't in fact true again and it's clearly true based on the receipts of course and the same day of Sophia calling Braxton out on all these, you know, the receipts, the text, the screenshot of the dog in his backpack on February 13th, the day after the Super Bowl.

37:07Christy Noel:Alex posts about having a date night with Braxton that same day. The weather has been beautiful lately, which means I'm pretty much always out and about doing things. Errands, workouts, beach days, you name it. And of course, I need clothes that can actually keep up with all of that. That's why I joined Fabletics as a VIP. It completely changed how I shop and refresh my wardrobe when it needs an upgrade. New VIPs unlock major savings on their first purchase, so stocking up on practical, comfortable, and cute pieces doesn't feel like some major splurge. When I signed up as a new VIP with Fabletics, I got 70 to 80 % off everything.

37:41Christy Noel:It made it super easy to grab multiple matching sets, shorts, tanks, and lounge pieces for summer without overthinking it. And genuinely, you guys, the quality is so good. Fabletics pieces feel like ultra luxe activewear you'd expect from those other high-end brands, you know the ones, but without the hefty price tag. These pieces are built to actually last and I love that for me. My absolute favorite piece I've gotten is the anywhere cropped bra tank. It's the perfect workout top that I can throw on for a workout or to just record, run errands, go to lunch, everything in between. I love how easy getting dressed is with Fabletics and how put together I look without having to actually think about it.

38:15Christy Noel:Shop now at fabletics.com slash snark to get 70 to 80 % off everything when you sign up as a new VIP. Take a quick style quiz and be sure to select snark when prompted to unlock this offer. This is a limited time offer, so don't wait. Again, that's fabletics.com slash snark for 70 to 80 % off everything as a new VIP. Your home design should feel like you. And if it doesn't, it's not because you have bad taste. It might just be a budget problem. Well, Wayfair fixes that. This is my sixth apartment in 12 years in New York City, which is crazy to think about. So when you move that much, you become less and less enthusiastic about spending money on new pieces.

38:51Of course, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated, but knowing it's not my forever home makes it hard to want to splurge. That's why I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now. I'm obsessed with my latest purchase. It sounds kind of silly, but we were previously throwing our laundry in an open laundry bin that just ended up looking messy and cheap in the corner of our bedroom. It became an absolute eyesore, so I searched for closed wicker laundry bins on Wayfair that could hide the mess and add like a chic, beachy touch to our bedroom, and I found the perfect one for under$100.

39:21It seriously was such an upgrade to our bedroom, aesthetically and functionally, it's hard to even describe it or put it into words. And it's little purchases like that that can make all the difference in your space. Ready to upgrade your home for way less? Head to Wayfair.com right now to shop all things home and get your space ready for less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R dot com.

39:43Christy Noel:Wayfair, every style, every home. Nothing makes you appreciate good bedding more than a hot summer night, especially when your air conditioning is broken like ours was recently. I don't want to talk about it. Having something that's lightweight, breathable, cool, and easy to sleep in, no matter how hot it gets, is so freaking important. That's why I love Quince. It's been my go-to for bedding for so long now, with high-quality materials like 100 % European linen and organic cotton. You can literally feel the difference. I love waking up not sweaty. Quince has everything you need to make your bed feel cooler, lighter, and more comfortable for summer.

40:15From breathable sheets to linen shams and duvet covers in soft, seasonal colors, relaxed stripes, and timeless neutrals. My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets and duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy and even has a cooling effect, which is obviously perfect for those hot summer nights. I also love the look of it. It's a soft gray gingham and just has this classic look that instantly elevates our bedroom. And I love knowing that we're sleeping on 100 % cotton and not some cheap polyester blend. I also love their Mulberry Silk pillowcases and eye masks. They help keep your hair smooth and skin hydrated overnight because they don't absorb your natural oils like other materials do.

40:52Quince bedding is made for literal beauty sleep, you guys. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 percent less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical manufacturers and cut out the middleman. So you're paying for quality materials without the luxury markup. Make your summer bedding feel better. Go to quince.com slash snarkbait for free shipping on your order and 365 day returns. Now available in Canada too. That's quince.com slash snarkbait for free shipping and 365 day returns. Quince.com slash snarkbait.

41:25Christy Noel:That's the sound of zero sugar, 200 milligrams of caffeine, and the power to burn body fat. Storm, energy for life. Storm Energy Blend helps boost metabolism, which in combination with exercise and a healthy diet helps burn fat. This product alone does not produce weight loss. Individual results may vary. So obviously, I think Alex Earl, probably behind the scenes, her and Braxton Berrios were having conversations behind the scenes, but it's clear like something else was brewing. And I bet you she was arguing with Braxton about this, I hope. But later on in July, sources say that the couple was still not exclusive, meaning Alex and Braxton.

41:56Christy Noel:They've agreed to keep things casual. They've always agreed that they were not exclusive or official. and I just want to call out like I don't think Alex Earl should be to blame in this situation this guy comes out he's fawning over her I think for the first day she says in a TikTok that he told her I'm gonna surprise you with something and then she meets him and he takes her like on a helicopter ride on the first date it's love bombing it's yeah love her insane gifts and And I don't know. It just seems very love balmy. And I think if you are Alex and some guy who's a wealthy NFL guy is showering you with affection and gifts and acts of service, of course you're going to fall for it.

42:38Christy Noel:And I think it's up to Braxton to be honest with Alex. I don't know. I'm just I hate when there's these infidelities and like all the blame is being put on the woman. This the blame needs to go to Braxton. He's the fuck. Oh, for sure. No, no, no. She has no allegiance towards Sophia. She just is being showered with gifts and she likes a guy. I don't know. For sure. I mean, I'm curious what Braxton was telling Alex about his relationship status with Sophia, because it's not like Sophia was a private citizen. They had a very public relationship. They were on national TV. She is also a social media star, not as big as Alex, obviously, but they were very clearly together.

43:17So that's the question mark for me. It's like, what did Braxton tell Alex to make her think this was okay? Or did Alex know that they were together and that she was the other woman and she was okay with it? But either way, it's like, it would be different, I think, if they were private, regular people. And she would have no way of knowing that he actually was in a relationship. But they're public people. He's an NFL star. Everyone knew that he was dating Sofia Culpo.

43:41Christy Noel:And I was curious to ask your opinion on him being featured on the Culpo show. What was their dynamic when you were a fan of that show watching? Or was he shown often? So Sophia, he wasn't really on it that much, but Sophia was in love with him. That I remember when I when I think back on Sophia and Braxton's relationship on that show, she was in love with him. I think that she is kind of Sophia is kind of a little bit of a brat. That was the vibe on the show, at least that she's a little entitled. She's kind of just gotten this fame and career because of her older sister. And there was. Yeah.

44:12Yeah. There was like a storyline about how she was rude to the people that she works with and she would just never be gracious. And she was always just kind of upset and mean and just kind of in a bad mood all the time. But she would say Braxton is the best part of everything. She was just obsessed with him, in love with him. So yeah, I was just shocked when all this happened because I thought they were for sure endgame.

44:33Christy Noel:Yeah. Yeah, that's interesting to hear from your POV, having just watched her on her behavior, because Sofia Culpo to me is just a blank slate. I know nothing about her. So all I know is just these receipts. But in September 2023, Alex Earl addresses the rumors about Sophia head on on the Call Her Daddy exclusive. And Alex Earl insists that she was not a mistress. They talk about how the internet had been calling Alex Earl a homewrecker and a mistress. And Alex Earl said that Braxton and Sophia had already been broken up and that rumors of her being a mistress were incredibly triggering just based on her family's past.

45:05Christy Noel:and Alex Cooper straight up asked Alex Earl head on, can you confirm were you hooking up with Braxton when he was in a relationship? And Alex replied, it is so triggering to even hear you say that. No, they were not together. She shared that she was in fact reading all the comments about her and Braxton and she was bawling her eyes out to her friends because all the Sophia receipts were coming out. And she said, I spent my childhood thinking this is basically the worst thing you could do to another human. So why the fuck would I do that? I guess the ex-girlfriend had started posting things alluding to unfaithfulness in the relationship online.

45:37Christy Noel:And I was seen hanging out with this guy. So of course, everyone pointed the fingers at me. And she confronted Braxton for receipts to ensure that he had not cheated. And she said, you know, I was asking for the receipts. Like right away, I was probably more psycho than she was. I was like, there's just no fucking way this happened. I was checking everything. And she said that her and Braxton had been over this probably 110 times because I was like, if you did that to this person, obviously, of course, you'll probably do that to me too. And if I did that to someone else, I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

46:04Christy Noel:Which is interesting because I feel like there's been some allegations about Braxton potentially cheating. And of course, this is all alleged. Have you heard these conspiracy theories, by the way? Which conspiracy theories? That Braxton is perhaps cheating on Alex Earl with a woman named Casey Braxton. Not to be confused. They both have Braxton in their names. No. This chick's last name is Braxton. Yes. I have not heard this, but I wouldn't be surprised. And like, I believe, I believe Alex Earl here when she says, I just, I was like, what the fuck? I don't want to be a mistress, which again, I just, it begs the question, what did he say?

46:40Did he say, oh, we just broke up five minutes ago because they were very publicly together for a long time, several years. So it's like either they had just broken up five minutes ago, which there's technically nothing wrong with that, but I'm still kind of, it's still murky for me. like what the timeline was according to him you know i know because to me the receipts that sofia

47:02Christy Noel:posted were pretty foolproof i don't think there's any ambiguity to what he was posting so braxton must have really twisted himself into a pretzel to make alex really convinced that there was no overlap i'm curious as well but again like i don't blame this on alex i think braxton is shady as fuck i mean literally on she posted a screenshot on january 31st 2023 of him being like yeah i want to be with you, Sophia. I know. Then just a couple of weeks later at the Super Bowl. Literally less than two weeks later. Right. So after Braxton and Alex had been seen together for almost six months in November of 2023, during a live call her daddy podcast in Chicago, Alex Cooper asked Alex straight on if they were boyfriend and girlfriend and Alex Earl admitted, yes, they were.

47:46Christy Noel:So they went official November of 2023, or maybe perhaps a couple of weeks before that. And they're out and about. They were attending NFL playoffs together. She was devastated when he tore his ACL in October of 2024. And more notably, and recently in March of this year, Braxton signed a one-year deal with the Houston Texans. And he was just with the Miami Dolphins for two seasons. And he's believed to have signed a$2 million contract. And on TikTok, Alex was incredibly supportive. She said, Braxton got the call today that he'll be playing for the Houston Texans this year. I'm so incredibly proud and cannot wait to see what this next year brings.

48:21Christy Noel:And she shared in a company. How do I accompanying? Get ready with me. Yes. Saying that she'll be back and forth between Miami and Texas to visit her boyfriend. In April of 2025, Alex moved into Braxton's Miami home because she's kind of her schedule is such that she's always everywhere. She doesn't really have a place to return to because she's always on the road. So I think she moved out of her apartment with Kristen and she was living with Braxton in his Miami home, but she'll go back and forth to Houston to follow Braxton as he's playing out there. On July 30th of this year, Alex admits that she's struggling a lot with being in a long distance relationship and the constant rumors that her and Braxton have to field while they're not together in the same place.

49:06Christy Noel:And this is amidst many breakup rumors that have surfaced as recently as the past couple of weeks because she's been on Dancing with the Stars. Braxton, as far as I know, has not been on stage yet. I think he might be there this week or yesterday by the time this episode releases. But it seems she was very uncomfortable talking about Braxton in all the show interviews. But I noticed that when I was watching this YouTube video that she posted about how to survive a long distance relationship, she was very honest. She's like, listen, the distance has been incredibly difficult. Braxton likes a very regimented schedule and her schedule never looks the same on any given day.

49:40Christy Noel:And he gets really disappointed because if it were up to him, they would have scheduled a call to speak on a daily basis because his schedule is very strict. It's predictable. He knows what he's doing on any given day. But Alex, on the other hand, she never knows where she is, the time zone that she'll be in. And she said it's very hard to schedule advanced calls like that. And she also says she's admittedly not very good at texting. And she just says that her and Braxton have a deal that before she goes to bed every night that she calls him. And she says she finds it hard sometimes because sometimes she'll go out, she'll get drunk.

50:08Christy Noel:She will pass out on the bed with fries in her mouth. And Braxton will get upset because she'll have forgotten to call him. and she says her friends have to wake her up in the middle of the night to say oh my god Alex don't forget to call Braxton which by the way do you think that's a little bit controlling or do you think that's normal I think that's like a little bit I mean long distance is so hard that it's like you gotta do what you can I think it's a little bit controlling though what do you think I agree too I was trying to think when I go on girls trips with friends of mine who are married They do call their husband at the end of the night, but they're never like, Christy, you need to make sure I call Matt before the end of the night.

50:47Christy Noel:He's going to kill me. That's what she made it seem in the YouTube video. She was like, my friends have to shake me awake sometimes to remind me to call Braxton. That's a little much. I agree. I kind of thought that was a little bit of a yellow flag. I don't know. Yeah, I would say so. So obviously there's been so many breakup rumors, but we know just over the last week, she posted with Braxton dispelling the rumors. For his birthday, She posted for her 30th birthday. Then more recently, she posted the fact that she flew all of his friends and family out to surprise him for his birthday. They were only in for like 24 hours.

51:18Christy Noel:It was a big surprise event. So I think she's trying to shove the rumors aside saying, listen, we're together. Shut the fuck up. I will say, I do think Dancing with the Stars is an incredibly difficult endeavor to go on when you're in a new relationship or a long distance relationship. I think it's like the kiss of death for many. Mauricio and Kyle, remember when he was on Dancing with the Stars and that was at the heels of them kind of taking distance apart from one another. And Kyle expressed how difficult it was for her to watch Mauricio on Dancing with the Stars. Harry Jowsey and Jess Vestal, they were together, but it was very secret because Jess's season of Love is Blind hadn't come out yet.

51:50Christy Noel:And she got very jealous of Harry. I remember Sean Lowe talking about how difficult it was for him to navigate his very new relationship with Catherine Lowe when they first got engaged on The Bachelor. So I feel like Dancing with the Stars is just very difficult in general for couples, especially to see your significant other be so intimate physically with another person. Yeah. I feel like you're doing sexy dances with another person. And then also it's the crazy, crazy, crazy schedule. Right. And I think people have theorized what if Alex and Braxton are broken up, but they don't want the breakup to overshadow her performances on Dancing with the Stars.

52:25Christy Noel:People would be examining everything Alex says. Oh, she messed up here. Oh, that's because she's upset about Braxton. And so people say, well, Dancing with the Stars, it's so physically and mentally grueling. I think it would take away from her ability to really show up in the competition of all these big rumors were all over the place. I think that's totally fair. It's just crazy, though. I don't know what to believe because they're filming content together. So it seems like, yeah, they are. You think that their vibes are off. Their chemistry is off. I agree that it's fucking weird that like how could he not go to at least one Dancing with the Stars taping?

53:02That is weird to me.

53:04Christy Noel:Yeah. And people were saying, I guess, again, I know nothing about sports. I don't claim to. But someone on Reddit said that there's something called like a bye week. Yeah, bye week. Bye week where his team isn't playing. So he doesn't have to be at a game or practicing or whatever. So he doesn't have to be in Houston that week. So why is he not flying out to L.A.? you're not flying from like Europe to California. Like it's literally like a three and a half, four hour flight. So people have had questions on that. And to be honest, I haven't really been examining her TikToks. Like I haven't been watching her content as frequently as I used to, but people have noticed, or so they say, it could be confirmation bias that their chemistry does appear to be very off.

53:43Christy Noel:And he has stopped engaging as frequently with her posts. Like, you know, eagle-eyed internet sleuths will catch onto these things that I think the normal, ordinary person would not. So people are pointing these things out. Yeah. But for all intents and purposes, as of October 14th, they are very much together. But I will say it's so interesting. I had some friends visiting and we were talking about a wedding that they attended. And I know behind the scenes, everything was very much a shit show. I was hearing it from the mom, the sister, and just how uncomfortable a lot of it was. And then I see them posting on Instagram and Facebook because that's what people do.

54:16Christy Noel:People really show this highlight reel online. But it's funny because being on the inside of it, knowing how I don't want to say horrible that weekend went, but how, you know, just kind of fell short. I know what's going on, but you just see such a flowery, beautiful day. And it just Instagram is not real. So what I will say is the fact that she did a surprise party and posted about it, it really doesn't tell me much. We have no idea what else went on that weekend, you know? Yeah, we really don't. Let's move on to Alex's controversy. So in 2022, there was a hair oil controversy where the Alex Earl effect backfired.

54:49So in December 2022, so she was still kind of coming up, wasn't as big as she is today.

54:54Christy Noel:Alex did an Amazon video with Miele Organics Rosemary Mint hair oil, which is a product for textured Afro-Caribbean hair, and she received a ton of backlash for it. Black women argued that the Alex Earl effect drove the product out of stock. And critics online said that her white followers were appropriating a Black-owned hair product. Similar popularity spikes such as this one have previously led brands such as Shea Moisher, who typically cater towards an African-American audience, to change their formulas and raise their prices. And oils are crucial for curly hair because natural oils struggle to travel down coiled strands.

55:28Christy Noel:And if you have white consumers running to purchase this product because Alex early used it and endorsed it, it could reduce that accessibility for a black woman in price or if they were to change the formula. Alex did not respond publicly, but she just stopped mentioning the oil altogether. And I think this is a double-edged sword a bit. I looked up the founder of Miele Organics Rosemary Mint Hair Oil, and it's a Black woman. The founder is a Black woman. And we love supporting Black-owned businesses because they're not often platformed in the same way that white-owned businesses are. This is just a fact.

55:58Christy Noel:And I was thinking about this in the context of the half-baked harvest controversies we were talking about. So half-baked harvests out here appropriating, for instance, cultural dishes, Asian dishes is the ones that we talked about that aren't truly Asian. Like she talked about a banh mi dish that was not native to the actual dish itself, had no ingredients that were mirroring banh mi. But because of SEO and half-baked harvests' wide reach, when people are typing banh mi recipes, hers will come up at the top of the Google search. So rather than pushing out true authentic Asian chefs who are trying to get their content out, you're pushing out half-baked Harvest's white culturally appropriated dish.

56:33Christy Noel:So I think that to me is pretty pervasive and egregious and it's more straightforward. I think for this, and I'm curious to hear your thoughts, it fucking sucks. I can't even imagine like being a black woman that relies on a very, very niche brand to help with their day-to-day hair routines to have it watered down by white women. Okay. I do think it's a double-edged sword because Alex Earl is platforming a black owned brand that would not have otherwise gotten that same viewership or eyes on the product. So it's good in that sense, but at the same time, you're also driving it to higher demand means lower supply.

57:10Christy Noel:Therefore you need to increase prices like basic economics, then it may not be available to the normal consumer. I mean, what are your thoughts on this. It sucks a little bit. I mean, this was 2022, right? So Alex Earl, I don't even think was fully even, I mean, just giving her the benefit of the doubt, was fully even aware of the Alex Earl effect. I don't think that she had any way of predicting that just by posting this niche product that she found and happened to like, that it would ultimately sell out and that black women who use this product and need it because it's really specifically designed for their hair type would not be able to buy it because of her.

57:48I feel like it was kind of a domino effect that I don't think she could fully anticipate. I don't think she had any way of anticipating it. So I don't know. I kind of give her the benefit of the doubt there, but I understand that that is frustrating for the consumers that buy and need this product, you know, but at the same time, like you said, it's like she is platforming a black owned business, which is not, not a good thing, but it's kind of like, I don't know.

58:09Christy Noel:It's not straightforward, but I think this is out of all these controversies we're going to talk about this is not as pervasive as maybe right the n-word scandal which of course we're going to get into in a moment yes plan b is a backup birth control option that's there for you when things don't go according to plan it specifically works after unprotected sex and before pregnancy occurs by temporarily delaying ovulation plan b is available nationwide at all major retailers and through delivery apps like DoorDash. No ID, prescription, or age requirement. It's the number one OBGYN recommended brand of emergency contraception, and it won't impact your future fertility.

58:46Christy Noel:That's freedom to be. Use as directed.

58:53This summer, serve up the cookout classics. Craft mayo and dressing. Toss green salads with delicious ranch dressing or zesty Italian. Serve smooth, craveably creamy potato We all know it's not a cookout without craft.

1:00:01Christy Noel:We'll be right back. contact store for availability. So in 2023, I remember this happening in the Hamptons. So Dumois posted a video of Alex Earl kissing a man in the Hamptons that was not Braxton. And keep in mind, her and Braxton publicly were official in November of 2023. So this was a couple months before. So they weren't official, but it was clear they were dating. They were spotted together. They were posting about one another. People were shocked. They're like, oh my God, Alex is kissing some man that's not Braxton. And it was allegedly a man named Sebastiano de Feliz, an 18-year-old grandson of designer Donna Karen.

1:00:34Christy Noel:He turned 18 only two days after that kissing video was taken. So people are like, Alex was making out with a minor. She was 22 years old. He was 17. I don't know. I think that's a little bit. I actually like the fact that he turned 18 right before is something that I didn't even realize. I thought that he was fully underage when they were making out. So like, at least he was technically 18, I guess. So I don't know that when there is no evidence that Alex knew his age at the time, but this rumor quickly faded after her and Braxton were seen publicly out and about together. So this one I felt was like a blip in the radar.

1:01:08Christy Noel:People were talking about it in a scandalous way, but clearly it didn't impact Braxton too much because they weren't official and they ended up calling it official a few months after. So in December of 2023, there is a bit of a scandal. I didn't even realize this. In December of 2023, picks came out of Alex and Braxton partying with Ivanka Trump at a party in Miami celebrating our boss Basel, our Basel, our Basel, our Basel. And this angered a lot of fans. It appeared that Alex was showing support for Trump. And at this point, she had about 6 million, mostly young followers on TikTok. So she's incredibly influential.

1:01:44Christy Noel:And people were saying, you have to use your platform, you shouldn't be platforming Ivanka Trump. And she had also just a year prior to the Ivanka Trump picture posted a Trump flag on her Instagram in 2022. too. And she got a ton of backlash for that. And she posted a live video saying, at the time, I was like, yeah, go Trump. However, she claimed that she didn't know anything about politics back then. And then she thinks now that Trump is an idiot. And the quick 180 after receiving backlash and the fact that she continues to hang around the Trump family has raised a lot of skepticism about how genuine her statement about saying Trump is an idiot really was.

1:02:19Christy Noel:I'm going to be honest, for supporting Trump does not surprise me one iota. Literally, in fact, it would surprise me more if she was endorsing a Democratic candidate. Yeah, I mean, like you wrote here, she's a wealthy white woman from Jersey. Like that tells you everything you need to know. Yeah. I think the more egregious kind of action on her Twitter was her liking anti-Black Lives Matter and pro-police Instagram posts from her stepmom, Ashley Dupree, who we talked about at the top of the episode. There's one, Ashley Dupree could really have her own episode. She posts a lot of QAnon adjacent conspiracy theories.

1:02:57Christy Noel:She had one Instagram post that Alex had liked that was filled with a claim that little babies were getting murdered because of Black Lives Matter protesters who Ashley referred to as criminals. She just shamelessly posts, I think, a lot of things that maybe you know that they're having these conversations in private, but to post it so publicly isn't, I mean, I'm not saying these conversations are okay, but we all know these conversations are being had behind closed doors in the wealthy castle confines of New Jersey. But to post this so publicly on your very public Instagram, knowing that your stepdaughter is a very public figure is pretty brazen.

1:03:31Christy Noel:Yeah, that was a choice. Yes. In 2023, eagle-eyed internet sleuths caught a very young Alex Earl at the time she was 14 using the N slur. It's pretty bad. Take a joke, N-word. my n-word n-word why do you care and then just saying the n-word and interesting because it didn't blow up right away and people were saying things online like this slur was very normalized between 2012 to 2017 especially in lyrics i remember hearing it a lot in school if you weren't around that good for you i think people are a lot more educated on it now they know better i don't think this is something to cancel alex over it was years ago kind of sad when you have to dig that hard to find something to cancel someone.

1:04:16Christy Noel:Cancel culture is so toxic. People grow and change. And so do the times. What are your responses to those? I mean, yeah, she was 13 years old, I guess. It's still she should have known better. It's not an excuse. Yeah. I mean, it's it's gross. It's gross. And I think what's also damning about this is that instead of addressing it, her legal team was just trying to delete any evidence of this from the internet. Yes. So the Do We Know Them podcast has a subreddit that they don't moderate. It's not theirs. It's a fan run subreddit, r slash Do We Know Them. And speaking on that, they received a legal threat referencing copyright infringement because some user that was a subredditor on their subreddit posted these receipts of Alex Earl.

1:05:06Christy Noel:So Alex's legal team reached out and said that they have violated their copyright. They said people posted screenshots of Alex's racist posts in our subreddit and her lawyer said that they have a trademark to that. And one of the hosts said, we do not moderate it. We don't have any access to the subreddit. And I think people were very upset with Alex because not only was her team trying to remove any trace of this on the internet, but she was also very quiet for weeks. Yeah. People were coming to her TikTok saying, are you going to address these racist slurs you were using back in 2014, 2013? Like, what are you going to say about it?

1:05:42Christy Noel:Finally, she addressed this in a very raw TikTok video. She wasn't doing makeup. Her hair was wet. She had no makeup on. She was like in pajamas. And she took accountability publicly and said a couple weeks ago, screenshot surface from my old Ask FM account showing me using a slur in the summer of 2014. I am taking accountability. and I want to make it clear that I was 13 years old and did not understand the deeply offensive meaning behind that word. There is no excuse for using that word in any context at any age. This is absolutely not the way I speak or what I stand for. I am deeply sorry that my words have hurt many and have led people to believe that I have any prejudice in my heart.

1:06:20Christy Noel:I promise you that could not be further from the truth. And people were saying, well, what about your team trying to get stuff removed from the internet. She says that those claims are absolutely ridiculous and untrue. And the Do We Know Them podcast shared a statement with Variety and they're like, while we cannot speak to the legitimacy or existence of any trademarks or copyrights, we can confirm that we received an email from an entity identifying itself as web sheriff who claimed to act as a rights agent for Alex Earl. So they make this like long statement, but basically the podcast is like, we have no control over our subreddit.

1:06:54Christy Noel:Please stop reaching out to us. But based on Alex's statement saying that, no, these rumors aren't true, that I'm trying to like scrub anything from the internet. The implication is that this email was sent without Alex's knowledge or authorization, which is like also not good for Alex either. Regardless, I think this is just a really bad look. I was not out here. I'm not gonna lie and say I didn't hear this term growing up. Unfortunately, that was the way I don't I'm not speaking for everyone. I'm saying that I recall people using this term very flippantly and it's disgusting. I, for one, was not using this term, nor was I, you will never find a receipt at all online of me using this term.

1:07:30Christy Noel:So I think it's like, we know better. Yeah. You may have heard it in the people talking or in the lunch area or whatever, but I wasn't saying that. No. Yeah. You should know better. I mean, again, I think the only thing, whether it's, I feel like even back in 2014, teen, you should know better, obviously. The fact that she was 13, yeah, she fucked up. But again, there's no world where that is okay to use. Even if she was 13, even if it was back in 2014, it just was never okay. Right. It's not an appropriate term to use, nor is there any context in which it is appropriate. It's just very bizarre to just so flippantly use it and then use it multiple times on the internet.

1:08:08Christy Noel:Repeatedly, yeah. Repeatedly. And then again, And trying to, whether it was just her legal team, either way, trying to censor the receipts instead of acknowledging it is just fucked. And taking weeks to acknowledge it. Yes, taking weeks. So, yeah, that was, I feel like she kind of overcame that very quickly, though. People don't really talk about this at all anymore. People are more concerned, most recently, in Alex Earle's feud with Alex Cooper. So in August of 2023, 2023 was a big year for Alex Earl. She signed with Cooper's Unwell Network and launched the Hot Mess podcast by that September of 2023.

1:08:47Christy Noel:And earlier this year in 2025, in February, Variety reported that the Hot Mess podcast was dropped after rumors of a feud between Alex and Alex was surfacing. And sources say that SiriusXM will no longer sell ads for the show and that the Unwell network has renounced all rights to Hot Mess so that Alex Earl can freely explore future opportunities. And there were rumors bubbling up to the surface even before Variety confirmed Hot Mess leaving Unwell of Alex and Alex having beef. There was rumors of a feud when Alex Earl, this is where I got the New Orleans thing mixed up. Alex Earl skipped the Unwell Super Bowl party in New Orleans, even though she was in town for the Super Bowl.

1:09:25Christy Noel:But she was just seen at other parties. And everyone was like, okay, everyone and their mother is at the Unwell Network event. Why isn't Alex there? And Unwell, as we all know, she just did an event in Vegas. She always hosts these events. And I remember Alex was not at any of these events. And everyone was wondering, like, why is Alex Earl notably absent when she is the biggest face and name for this podcast network? It didn't make any sense. And there was theories like maybe Alex Earl was not being compensated fairly for these appearances. So she just didn't show up, which I think is very fair of Alex Earl.

1:09:59Christy Noel:Like pay me because my time is money. And if you're not paying me what I'm asking for, I can get that money out there. Like Alex Earl is a very savvy businesswoman. I think her father is a very savvy businessman. And I think she has a very, very strong team behind her. And people, I feel like we're definitely siding with Alex Earl in all of this drama. So when Alex finally, oh, sorry, go ahead. I was just going to say, I also thought it was such an interesting choice that she decided to do a podcast to begin with. I didn't think it was her format that she is best at, which I think is video and TikTok and talking to the camera.

1:10:34It just doesn't translate as well via podcast, but she just continued to do it without the Unwell Network. So clearly it's lucrative for her and she likes doing it.

1:10:43Christy Noel:Yeah. And if I recall correctly, she released this TikTok saying that podcasting didn't feel like necessarily the right format. So she's actually moving more into vlogging on her YouTube channel. So it's kind of like a hybrid of both the podcast with audio, but also just showing us what she's doing on a day to day basis. It's like her get ready with me is in long form. So yeah, I think that to your point suits her far better than like an audio format because I feel like people weren't listening to Hot Mess despite how big of a name Alex Earl had become over the last two years. right. Alex Earl announced the pause about Hot Mess podcast on TikTok.

1:11:16Christy Noel:She did not provide details as to what exactly happened, but she said that she was going to start releasing weekly YouTube vlogs as her main contact. By June of 2025, the podcast was again disclosed as more of a vlog cast found on YouTube and Spotify. Right after the news broke, when everyone was talking about the Alex's feuding, Alex didn't share much. When that Variety article dropped, she shared that the previous week had been pretty meh. And she goes, there's been a lot of chatter online this week about me and work. And I also have no idea what's going on. I'm just like dying for a tell-all from Alex Earl regarding Alex Cooper.

1:11:51Christy Noel:I feel like there's been so many rumors about Alex Cooper being difficult to work with. Matt Kaplan runs the show. She doesn't have any friends in the industry. And I think - With every woman she works with. Right. And I feel like Hallie Batchelder is now Alex Cooper's new Alex Earl. She's like trying to platform this new hot mess that is Hallie Batchelder. But she kind of just rides the coattails off of these young creators, but still at the end of the day, platforms only herself. Like, again, the Unwalled Podcast Network couldn't tell you a single show on that network besides Harry Jowsey. Yeah, honestly, same.

1:12:23Harry Jowsey, what's her name? Avery Woods, Hallie Batchelder. Yeah. But wait, I don't know if you saw this. Obviously, we know that there was a comment that she replied to. and the comment was, you tell us what happened with Alex Cooper and she replies, how much time do you have? Did you see that Alex Cooper at her Vegas Unwell event did a video, like a lip syncing video and it was like kind of like the sizzle reel to the song Circus by Britney Spears. Apparently that was the first song that during the first episode of Dancing with the Stars that Alex Earl danced to on Dancing with the Stars and then made the caption, how much time do you have because we could go all night?

1:13:04So it seems like Alex Cooper was clapping back at Alex. Like I definitely feel like she was.

1:13:08Christy Noel:Absolutely. And thank you for bringing that up. I saw a TikTok of Alex Cooper at the Unwell Vegas event and she was brought up on stage by the Chainsmokers and the audience was so. The crowd went mild.

1:13:23Christy Noel:Wait, that's so funny. Like the crowd certainly did. Yeah, the crowd certainly did go mild. You could hear a pin drop. It was so awkward. Alex Cooper nothing about her is amazing she's just pretty she's not funny and she's smart she's a good marketer but my god I do not find her funny or anything at all she tries to be so kitschy and it's so cringe yeah oh my god it's like she's doing too much we talked about dark energy Tuesday this week it's like she's doing too much like what are you even doing are you Barbara Walters or are you fucking Tate McRae? What are you doing? She's just trying to be a performer without actually having a talent for performing.

1:14:07Christy Noel:You know where I feel like she would do really well is if she was just behind the scenes as like a marketing agency, unwell, and like as an ad agency. And it's just her and Kaplan doing their thing behind the scenes. No, but she wants to be on camera too much. She wants to be the star too much she could never write behind the scenes she could never be behind the scenes but whenever she's on camera i just think of her in that stupid baseball video of her singing god bless america whatever take me out yeah to the ball game that's literally how she sounded it was such a sense of humor it's her sense of humor oh my god and the thing on her days and the thing with alex earl is i feel like she's effortlessly cool though do you know what i mean like that's the difference.

1:14:49I think Alex Earl is very much authentically herself. Yeah, she's effortlessly cool. She's effortlessly herself. Whereas Alex Cooper is always trying too hard and trying to have this persona like she's just so inauthentic. That's just my opinion, at least our opinion.

1:15:06Christy Noel:No, I completely agree. Alex Earl's and she's not she doesn't try. Yeah, she doesn't try hard. She just is. And you could be her BFF. Okay, the last thing I want to talk about is her Gymshark contract. So in late 2023, Gymshark apparently lined up a paid deal with Alex Earl. She promoted them on TikTok, her Instagram, and according to her, this was an official collab with multiple posts, events planned, a big paycheck, of course. And before she even started a post, Alex shared an Instagram story about the Israel-Palestine conflict in October of 2023. And it said, now and always we stand with the people of Israel.

1:15:41Christy Noel:And this post sparked backlash online with some people calling it tone deaf or one-sided. And then Gymshark allegedly cut ties with her without paying her the agreed upon rate. And she then sued Gymshark for$1 million in damages. She claims that Gymshark agreed to compensate her for three TikTok posts, four Instagram posts, a photo shoot, as well as an event appearance. And Gymshark was like, no, no, we didn't. We never even had a contract with you. But eventually it's been like a year and a half and the lawsuit was reportedly settled out of court. earlier this year in January with undisclosed terms.

1:16:16Christy Noel:Gymshark, whose legal reps apparently deny ever having signed a contract with Alex Earl, ended up settling the case in January. But it's not clear how much money was involved. But some TikTok users are like enthusiastic over Gymshark's apparent support over Palestinian rights, easiest promotion they could have ever done. Meanwhile, others have posted in support of Earl and her initial pro-Israel posts, things like that. But Claudia and Jackie podcasts of the toast praised Alex for having a backbone in her willingness to pursue legal action as it pertains to the Gymshark legal claims. So yeah, that's kind of all the controversies there are as it pertains to Alex Whirl.

1:16:55Christy Noel:Wow. I mean, she has, like we said, she has some controversies, specifically the N-word one is such a massive blip on her resume. I mean, that's an understatement, obviously. It was a major fuck up. I think overall, she's relatively harmless, I would say, other than, of course, the I feel like political wise, people have a lot to say about her politics and her Trump support. But she has not been vocal about politics at all recently, which I think is the smart move for her. It's like if she is a Trump supporter, which, again, I would not be surprised because she is a wealthy white woman from New Jersey.

1:17:37Just don't give them something to talk about. But obviously that is subjective. A lot of people could say that that actually is very problematic of her to not be using her platform or it's just either way. We've talked about this a lot. What do influencers have to gain by talking about whatever the fuck it is? Geopolitical conflicts. there is just nothing that they have to gain really and everything to lose because either way they're going to piss people off and it's just brutal out there. I don't know. I feel like with Alex Earl, she's young. She likes to get ready with me and people really relate to her struggles with acne and her relatability and just her personality.

1:18:20And overall, I just think they're way more problematic people out there.

1:18:24Christy Noel:Yeah, I completely agree. I find her TikToks fun. I will never scroll past an Alex Earl TikTok. I find her entertaining. I think she is really playing the game very smart. And I think the fact that she's acquired so much wealth in such a short amount of time shows that she has hustle, she has grit, she has relatability, and she's remained grounded despite all of it. I think the most recent criticism I've seen of her is that because she's really blown up. She's no longer relatable, which I mean, that always happens. It always happens. And it's inevitable. It's one of those things where like, well, if you had all the money and the fame and the access, you too would probably change your lifestyle a little bit.

1:19:02Christy Noel:It's inevitable. So I still think she's remained incredibly grounded. And anytime I hear local businesses saying, oh, Alex Earl came in today. She's always, from what I've heard, is like very lovely, very nice to people, very gracious. Like she's not a diva. She just is happy to be, have her platform that she has. I think she often has to pinch herself because she realizes she's very fortunate and she's like one of one and that it's very rare for someone to come from. I don't want to say nothing because she's wealthy, but for her to kind of have this very niche following in college and then blow up to who she is today, it's very not normal.

1:19:36And she gets, did we talk about how much she gets paid per post?

1:19:40Christy Noel:I heard it was a quarter of a million. Yeah. And that doesn't surprise me. So she has some of the highest rates in the influencer industry because of like, Like we said, the Alex Earl effect. She is so effective when it comes to moving product and doing ads and the amount of businesses that she's helped by just posting. Of course, there are the large corporations like I don't fucking know, Neutrogena, whatever it is, but I'm sure there are some. I know that Metacube is, I believe, a K-beauty brand. I don't think it's a massive, massive brand. And she I could be wrong. Correct me if I'm wrong. She has completely blown up this specific brand.

1:20:21There are so many brands that she has helped. I think that I respect it. And I feel like a lot of these brands, and especially the ones that are not massive corporations, always appreciate her help. And a lot of time it's organic. It's not just sponsored. It's like she, I like this product.

1:20:38Christy Noel:Yes, yes. That's a very, very good point. It's very organic to her. She's not even necessarily posting or paid to post, but you'll see it in her hand. You're like, what is that? What's that contra? What's that bronzer? And your influence. So good for her. Any closing thoughts on Miss Earl? No, again, it's like, I've never been a massive fan or follower of hers. I just haven't paid attention to her that much over the years, even though she is this massive influencer, obviously TikTok's number one it girl, arguably. But yeah, from where I see it, I'm like, she's good at what she does. Because I think that she has her fair share of controversies, but nothing that makes me completely write her off.

1:21:21So I don't know. What are your final thoughts on her?

1:21:24Christy Noel:Yeah, I think she is going to continue to grow her platform. Like you said, her contract with Dancing with the Stars is going to open her up to a brand new audience. I think she has the right support system behind her to help her continue this career trajectory. And I feel like the world is hers. She can do whatever the hell she wants right now. And she's acquired like generational wealth. I feel like at this point, if she's saving and investing correctly. So happy for her. And oh, for sure. Yeah. I thought it was funny also how like Braxton Berrios, when we talk about his contract with the Texans, it's$2 million.

1:21:57I'm like, Alex is the breadwinner.

1:22:00Christy Noel:Oh, absolutely. Yeah. I mean,$2 million is, I mean, shit, give that to me. But I mean, compared to what Alex Earl gets in a single brand deal, that's like. Alex Earl makes$2 million in a week. Yeah. Probably. Correct. Guys, this week on the Patreon, we're talking about Morgan Riddle, the tennis wags, her beef with Paige Lorenzo. Go ahead and check that out. Patreon.com slash snarkbait pod. We released that episode yesterday. We have Zach, Vanessa, and Ashley. Deep dive on Patreon the week after. 1:23:17Christy Noel:The weather has been beautiful lately, which means I'm pretty much always out and about doing things. When I signed up as a new VIP with Fabletics, I got 70 % to 80 % off everything. It made it super easy to grab multiple matching sets, shorts, tanks, and lounge pieces for summer without overthinking it.

1:23:55Christy Noel:And genuinely, you guys, the quality is so good. Fabletics pieces feel like ultra luxe activewear you'd expect from those other high-end brands, you know the ones, but without the hefty price tag. These pieces are built to actually last, and I love that for me. Shop now at fabletics.com slash snark to get 70 to 80 % off everything when you sign up as a new VIP.

1:24:28Christy Noel:Take a quick style quiz and be sure to select snark when prompted to unlock this offer. Of course, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated, but knowing it's not my forever home makes it hard to want to splurge.

1:25:04That's why I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now. It seriously was such an upgrade to our bedroom, aesthetically and functionally, it's hard to even describe it or put it into words.

1:25:35And it's little purchases like that that can make all the difference in your space. Ready to upgrade your home for way less? Head to Wayfair.com right now to shop all things home and get your space ready for less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R.com. Wayfair, every style, every home.

1:26:07It's been my go-to for bedding for so long now, with high-quality materials like 100 % European linen and organic cotton. You can literally feel the difference. I love waking up not sweaty. Quince has everything you need to make your bed feel cooler, lighter, and more comfortable for summer. From breathable sheets to linen, shams, and duvet covers in soft, seasonal colors, relaxed stripes, and timeless neutrals. My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets and duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy and even has a cooling effect, which is obviously perfect for those hot summer nights.

1:26:39I also love the look of it. Quince bedding is made for literal beauty sleep, you guys. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 % less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical manufacturers and cut out the middleman.
