0:00I have literally always been obsessed with Ruggable and rave about Ruggable to whoever listens, which is why I was thrilled and shocked when I found out they were going to sponsor the pod. My kitchen runner, foyer runner, outdoor balcony rug, and living room rug are all Ruggable. I'm not exaggerating. Not only do they have the chicest designs for whatever you're looking for, whether your style is boho, modern, classic, the rugs are both stain-resistant and machine-washable. This is key for me as a New Yorker with a dog. You don't even want to know what kind of city sludge he can drag into the house on any given day.

0:33But with Ruggable, you don't have to worry about professional carpet cleaners or big machines. You can just throw it in the wash and it comes out looking as high quality as the day you got it. It's truly a game changer. Oh, and the non-slip backing that every single one of the rugs has, also key for having a dog with the zoomies. So they're functional for high traffic homes, yes, but they're also fashionable. I truly take pride in my interior design skills and my guests always compliment my rugs. Thanks, Ruggable. And today we are talking about Dani Austin and her many, many controversies.

1:59We're talking Divi. We're talking about her come up, how she made it, her relationship with her husband, Jordan, her potential fallout with her brother and sister-in-law. There's a lot. So let's get it. And also just a heads up that timestamps are approximate. We can't make them as precise as we would like to, unfortunately, because of ad rolls and stuff like that. So apologies, you might have to fidget around to find the exact spot that you would like to get to for the timestamps. But again, we try to make them as precise as possible. So let's get into it. Enjoy.

2:46Hi.

2:47Christy Noel:Hey, Sophie. Good morning. Top of the morning to you. Top of the morning. It has been quite the chaotic morning, but we made it. How are you doing? I know we're both really tired. It's earlier for you. So respect. Big ups. Big ups. I have my coffee in hand. I have my water in hand. I'm sitting next to the beautiful Sophie remotely, virtually. The blush is on point today. What are you using? House Labs. House Labs, you guys. I told you I'm the biggest House Labs convert these days. So highly. I think the color is glassy lilac. I'll actually, you know what? I'll link it. I'm wearing House Labs concealer.

3:30Christy Noel:So we're a House Lab family. Yeah, we are. I'm in Cow Slaps Concealer too. Love that. And I, everything about her, it's just, it's clean. It's, it's, it's glassy. It's blendable. It's creamy. It's Licarian. It's creamy. I'm sorry, you guys. Like this is, I swear to God, this is not sponsored. When we like something, we like something. Speaking of liking, subscribing, today we are covering Dani Austin. And I just want to give a top of the episode a heads up because I'm sure this will make its way to her super snarkers, I guess. And I feel like every time we do an episode on an influencer who has a dedicated snark page and a ton of lore, people are like, I didn't learn anything new.

4:21And it's like, well, because you already know everything. This is more so for the people that don't know all of this lore about Danny Austin, but I know that there is a lot. Christy, what are your initial thoughts on Miss Danny Austin?

4:35Christy Noel:So these are the top line things that I know about Danny Austin. One, she's the founder of that hair and scalp care Divi. Two, she went MIA in I think 2024 last year. And everyone was very confused as to her whereabouts. Yep. three they thought perhaps her brother's nuptials had maybe had something to do with it four she's accused of being like MAGA which many influencers as we've covered have been in the past and I just want to say up top we're not here to shade anyone that for your political affiliation I just want to say that up top this is just the snark on her and what people have said about her So those are the top four things I think that I know about.

5:17Christy Noel:Yeah. And she's a really, really famous creator. Like she really wasn't on my radar necessarily, but I know that she's created a very successful brand. She has millions of followers. She just purchased a home in Nantucket. It's absolutely stunning. I was looking at a TikTok video of her and her husband, Jordan, exploring the new dig. And I'm like, damn, if I had that much money, like that's probably the exact house I would buy. She has a very fabulous life with many children and she's very controversial. Yep. We will cover all of that. And yeah, like you said, she is extremely, extremely successful, wealthy from social media, from her hair care brand, Dibby.

5:54So yeah, let's just get into it. As for what's the background here, what's the overview? Dani Austin is a 33-year-old. Oh my God. She just turned 33, actually. Her birthday is on October 23rd. Texas-based content creator and influencer who started her YouTube channel all the way back in 2012. So she is kind of an OG when it comes to this space, but she pivoted to Instagram. She doesn't really do YouTube anymore. She founded the hair care brand Divi in 2021 after her own hair loss and scalp issues. And her content is family life. She is very frequently posting her children, which we will get into Christianity, lifestyle, Amazon links, you know, the vibes.

6:43So anyway, Danny Austin was born Keely Danielle Austin. Redditors often refer to her as Keely because that's her God given name. She was raised in a suburb outside of Dallas, but now lives in Lakewood, which is a part of the greater Dallas area. She went to the university of Texas at Austin. She was in a sorority. She was in Cayo. She studied kinesiology with minors in advertising and business. In 2012, she was still in college. She started YouTubing and she and her brother would do videos together. And she received attention after her very first vlog. And she kind of liked to give her followers and viewers advice in a big sister or friend kind of way.

7:30Everything from morning routines, makeup tutorials, kind of about like confidence also. She was kind of like that big sister role. She was really, really, really successful kind of right off the bat. She moved to LA in 2013 and gained 100 ,000 subscribers when she moved. In 2015, she met Jordan Ramirez, her now husband. And in 2016, she launched her fashion blog. And this is when she started to pivot to blogging and Instagram called the dannyaustin.com, but she dropped the the. It's now just dannyaustin.com. Okay, Sean Parker. If you listen to this September Lake episode, you'll know what we're talking about.

8:10In 2017, she really makes the shift to Instagram. She gets engaged to Jordan. She moves into a big blogger house, which is funny that like hype houses existed even in Texas at the time. In 2018, she marries Jordan. And I feel like the house that she lived in and also the house she lives in now, they're kind of like, they're such like influencer houses. They're kind of like sterile and modern farmhouses. And I feel like these influencers are so afraid of color in their homes. And I think maybe it's because, oh, I need a neutral background for content. But they all look the same.

8:51Christy Noel:Do you know what I was actually thinking we should do a Patreon episode on is the downfall of millennial brands. So think Casper. Wait, is Casper like not a thing anymore? So they are still a company, but their CEO has talked about how their profit margins have like decreased significantly since 2020. Brands like Outdoor Voices, like that millennial, grayish, very aesthetic looking grid. I think these days we're all about authenticity and showing the more unfiltered parts. But back in, like I say, 2015 to 2020, there were these brands like Away or Casper that were so curated that are kind of falling off.

9:31Christy Noel:And I feel like the house of the modern farmhouse that's white and gray and really, really scared of color is no longer a thing. I think that would be a really interesting Patreon episode for us to do. I think so too. that's a great idea. But actually, fun fact, we have a Casper mattress and we love it. So don't sleep on, actually do sleep on Casper because we love it. We love our, we're like literally obsessed with it. My girlfriend was watching Baxter when we were in Miami the other week. And so she stayed at our apartment, slept in our bed. And I just feel like everyone who stays in our bed loves it and says it's so comfortable.

10:05So just saying.

10:07Christy Noel:No, I'm sure it's a great mattress. It's just like the branding, I think. Yeah. So it's such of its time, you know? Yeah. So in terms of this quick timeline, in 2019, she launches a handbag line called Killy D. And it ended up being a lot of knockoffs. And we will get to that. 2020, she announces that she is pregnant with her first child, Stella. Stella is born. They move into a new mega mansion. In 2021, she is named a top creator by Forbes. estimated earnings about$8.2 million that year. In 2022, she has her son Stratton and her total social following across platforms around this time is 2.7 million.

10:53In 2023, she launches a podcast with her husband, Jordan, called De-Influence with Dani and Jordan.

11:00Christy Noel:Did you hear about how she was allegedly trying to get that term trademarked? the influenced yes so obviously there's a whole there's a flood of influencers that influence you to buy so many things and there's an element of sustainability fast fashion us buying and consuming things that we don't necessarily need the waste that it accumulates because of this influencing market that has become so prevalent since 2020 but if you're on one side of tiktok there's a like a de-influencing tiktok and people find it really fascinating because it tells you you can have the simpler things in life and you don't need that extra Amazon purchase or that makeup blush like your blush is just fine but apparently when Danny Austin came up with his podcast the influence she was trying to get the term trademarked who does she think she is leave from America wait what do you mean I feel like leave from America also uses that word doesn't she oh yeah because she's trying to just do she wants to de-influence the influencer while still influencing.

12:05Yeah. The paradox of the century. You're still influencing. Like what the fuck are you even talking about? OK, so in twenty twenty three, she is again ranked on for Forbes's list of top creators. Her earnings that year are estimated at twelve point five million. And she boasts, again, lots and lots of followers, almost three million across her social platforms. late 2024 she has a famous social media hiatus and her sudden silence causes a lot of buzz more on that in a bit and in 2025 she returns to social media and announces the birth of her third child summit john summit summit so stella stratton and summit

12:52Christy Noel:I feel like those are there's gonna be a Braxton next if you listen to our Alex Earl no it has to be Strax Straxen okay so let's talk about sort of her beginnings a little bit more or like an early controversy so back in 2018 Dani and Christianity has been a big part of her brand for quite some time, really her entire career. And she's been involved in various influencer-led Bible study groups and faith circles. And in 2018, she launched a Facebook group called The Sassy Club, framed as a supportive, safe space for women to uplift each other through faith. It grew really quickly. Thousands joined in just a few days.

13:44They had local meetups and attended church together. It sounds like a pretty, really pure community. But as time went on, people noticed that Dani was starting to manipulate the group a little bit by deleting any posts that weren't super positive about her or questioned her advice. She also started to monetize it and forced everyone in the group to join an app that costs$2 a month. And it was apparently very poorly built. It was just like really shitty. She ended up shutting down all local Facebook groups and never brought them back up again when she eventually shut down the app and she completely abandoned the main Facebook group.

14:26And in 2020, because of all of the political conversations that were happening at the time, she was like, you know what? I'm just going to shut it all down. As soon as so people were like, as soon as you couldn't squeeze money out of this, you were done because it was supposed to be formed as a way for Christian women to connect with each other and have community and bond over their faith. It was just like, oh, well, it's not profitable for Danny anymore. So let's shut it down. Yeah.

14:56Christy Noel:Something about Facebook groups, it always ends up being too much for the founders to handle. I remember with My Favorite Murder, they had something similar happen. The Toast infamously also had to shutter their Facebook group. Giggly squad too. Giggly squad. Yeah. It's becoming one of the, it was really, really popular again before 2020, but I feel like it became too difficult for the founders to moderate. And this was just, it's a ticking time bomb, these types of things. Totally. Today, she's still super active in her local Dallas mega church community. Her family attended Watermark Community Church, known for its young adult ministry called The Porch.

15:33Sound familiar? This is Maddie Pru and Grant Trizzy Trout's extended cinematic universe church as well. They became really close to the youth pastor named JD Rogers, who left under mysterious circumstances. Apparently one of his groomsmen was Trizzy Trout, by the way. But according to Reddit sources, he was fired for excessive drinking. So after he was fired from the church, Danny and Jordan apparently took pity on him and hired him onto their team, which is very interesting. He's seen going on family trips with them. It's all very weird. But like with Maddie and Trizzy Trout, a big critique of their brand of Christianity is that it feels super performative because they're God-fearing, Jesus-loving, while simultaneously being obsessed with money, fame, content, overconsumption, exploiting their children.

16:31And her overconsumption in particular has gotten a lot of criticism over the years because it's very insane and over the top. She is constantly shilling something and buying new shit. And she's one of those influencers. I feel like you guys know the ones who makes a big amount of her money from linking cheap Amazon crap.

16:52Christy Noel:Fast fashion, random gadgets. they add up. It's like$5.99 once a week, but then you make multiple purchases like that. I mean, God, it's... Yeah. Oh, super lucrative for these people with tons of followers. So another early controversy is in 2019, Danny and Jordan said that their dog Lola was sick and they couldn't afford the vet bills for her. So they solicited tens of thousands of dollars from their followers to pay for Lola's care. She got criticized for taking advantage of her followers because at this point she was already a very established influencer with over 1 million followers. What do you mean you couldn't afford these vet bills and you had to solicit money from your followers, many of whom, most of whom definitely have less money than you?

17:42She also had a burgeoning brand at this point too, which if anyone knows anything about starting a brand. It's not cheap. So she had enough money to start a handbag line called Kili D, but not enough money to pay for her own dog's vet bills. Now let's take a quick break to talk about our sponsors. As I've gotten older, I've really started to lean into easy, lightweight makeup rather than heavy stuff that sinks into my fine lines and just doesn't look natural. Plus, I'm so busy and just don't have time for a 45-step makeup routine, I need something simple and easy. This is why I'm so obsessed with Jones Road Beauty.

18:22Jones Road Beauty is a minimalist makeup brand founded by makeup artist Bobbi Brown, maybe you've heard of her, known for versatile and easy-to-use products that simplify your routine. And it's clean, aka every product is free of sinister sulfates and parabens. I'd heard so much about Jones Road from some of my friends and even my mother-in-law who swears by it. We actually went to the Madison Avenue store together a few months ago, which highly recommend if you're a New Yorker. But now that I've tried it myself, I can say firsthand, the products are effortless, natural, and perfect for a no makeup makeup look and truly enhance what makes you, you.

18:57I'm obsessed with their bestselling Miracle Balm, a makeup skincare hybrid you can use as a tint, blush, bronzer, and highlight all in one for just a gorgeous, natural, your skin but better glow. Modern day makeup that's clean, strategic, and multifunctional for effortless routines. It's been a few years now that I feel like the maintenance light is on for my body, my joints are stiffer, my hangovers are harder to recover from, my hair's more brittle, my nails are breaking, and my skin just doesn't have that same glow to it anymore.

19:45That's where Bub's natural collagen peptides come in. And look, I was skeptical until I tried them. Basically, starting as early as your 20s, your body naturally produces less collagen every single year. Collagen is literally the protein glue that holds everything together. So with Bubz, you can help restore collagen levels for stronger joints, healthier hair and nails, glower your skin. What's not to love? And it's super easy to use. Just mix Bubz into your coffee, smoothie, or juice every morning. It's tasteless, odorless, and dissolves instantly. No clumps or gross aftertaste whatsoever. Plus, Bubz has zero sugar, sweeteners, fillers, or junk.

After you purchase, they'll ask where you heard about them. Please support our show and tell them we sent you. So speaking of Keely D, this is launched in 2019 and the bags were literally exact knockoffs of Valentino Rockstud bags. Diet Product called her out immediately.

21:08The caption says, I actually used to love Diet Product because this is what they used to do. I feel like the account, I have not really connected with the account in a while because I think they've lost sight of what originally made them unique, which was calling out dupes and knockoffs and influencer fails and stuff like that. I think I may have unfollowed them. I don't know. Anyway, this was prime diet prodigies. I loved it. So the caption says valid and it has a side by side. They are the exact same back. It's a complete ripoff down to every little piece of hardware, the rock studs, the straps, everything.

21:47The caption says, Valentino. Another day, another influencer launching a line full of knockoffs. This time, instead of cherry picking fashion's greatest hits, Danny Austin's recently relaunched bag line, Chialiti, seems to be comprised entirely of Maison Valentino rock stud bags from the last few years. We smell another shady Alibaba import business.

22:10Christy Noel:Yeah, I always wonder what is precluding big brands like Valentino or other big brands from this could be a really stupid question. I'm sorry from suing brands that are literally making copycat. They do. So, OK, yeah, brands do do this. I think what's tough about DHgate and like Canal Street type of dupes is that they're impossible to regulate and impossible to. Sure. But if it's a brand like this, these luxury houses will try to shut them down and pursue legal action. I highly recommend following the fashion law on Instagram. They talk about a lot of these cases. So Danny ended up giving a tearful apology and eventually took down the Kili D shop.

22:52And side note, we're actually doing just like a shameless plug really fast for our Patreon. We're doing a Q &A soon on our Patreon. And we asked our patrons to ask us questions they want answered. and one of the questions we got was our thoughts on DHgate and dupe culture and I personally have not used DHgate I know that there actually are a lot of really good dupes that you can get from DHgate if you know what to look for I know that there are whole subreddits about finding the good pieces from DHgate I personally have not used DHgate I have bought Canal Street Canal Street bag I got in general.

23:31Yeah. Those like Prada raffia totes. Like I'm just going to admit it. I was like, I'm not paying$1 ,200 for a Prada raffia tote, but early crochet like beach bags, but it's the perfect vacation bag. Cause you can just roll it up. It doesn't take a lot of room and I couldn't find anything that wasn't like the Prada version. So I got that from canal street. I'm not ashamed, but I've not used DH gate or anything like that. And that's really my only canal street purchase luxury prices have gotten so insane that I can't like really blame people for seeking out dupes I think that Dani Austin obviously like this was so flagrant and she was slapping her name right on these dupes in terms of like shopping for what are your thoughts on

24:16Christy Noel:dupes see the thing is I know you're really good with designer bags and like you're very knowledgeable I don't really know too much about designer items because I'm just not a consumer of them. But for me, it's like, for example, the beach bag that makes so much sense to me that you would buy a knockoff on Canal Street because that thing's getting tossed around in luggage, you're bringing it to the beach, it could get wet, you're getting your slop in it, your food, your wet bathing suits. Like, for me, that makes sense. And also, if you can't afford it, then you shouldn't knock people that not you, people shouldn't knock people that are wanting to get a fancy bag at their price point.

24:52Christy Noel:I don't know. Yeah, especially because I feel like with the pressure of social media. This is kind of like a tangent, I know, but the pressure of social media, people feel like they need to keep up with the Joneses and just luxury prices are insane. And in this economy, who can afford that? Who can afford a$4 ,000 jacket other than Ariel Charnas? Who can only afford that because her husband does insider trading, allegedly. So disappointing. Sorry that no, no, no. Martha Stewart was incarcerated for insider trading. And we have Brandon Charnas, who was so egregious in his text receipts about doing insider trading.

25:29Christy Noel:And nothing, to my knowledge, has even happened to him yet. I am so curious where they have a group chat where it's like, we did it, boys, or something like that. With a Z. With a Z. I'm so curious what will happen with that. I don't think it's been fully dropped. I actually saw someone bubble this back up recently on TikTok. And I'm like, yeah, I'm curious, too. Like, what's happening with this? There's no way it's just going away. Right. I don't know. I'd be curious if anyone has any tea into what's the latest with Brandon Chargis' insider trading case, let us know. So back to Dani after that little tangent.

26:02She has another controversy in 2020, and this is egregious. She announces the birth of her daughter, Stella, and uses the hashtag George Floyd in the caption. And just for context, this is the caption. She says, welcome to the party, baby. 18 weeks ago, we became pregnant with our first baby. Or she announces her pregnancy, not the birth of Stella. 18 weeks ago, we became pregnant with our first baby. 12 weeks ago, a global pandemic shut down most of our world. Two weeks ago, we took these funny pictures to tell y 'all about baby Jordani coming. That's their couple named Jordani, by the way. One week ago, we decided to tell y 'all on this very Sunday.

26:40Last night, there were historic protests across our country calling for reform after the murder of hashtag George Floyd. We have been debating all weekend how to tell y 'all that we are pregnant in light of the pain so many are feeling. Do we wait so as not to interrupt the critical conversation occurring? Well, only problem with that is mama has a baby pooch that I'm just barely hiding from y 'all anymore, et cetera, et cetera. So you get the gist. Yeah, that was not a great look, not a great call. I don't know what the fuck she was thinking.

27:12Christy Noel:The shit that people felt so emboldened to post in 2020, it's just looking back five years later, it's like, oh my God. Yeah. This is very cringy. 2020 was a fever dream. It really was. I don't think anyone knew what they were posting or the impact of the internet and how we would be laughing at this five years later. Crazy. In terms of her hair journey and Divi, the launch of Divi, let's get into it. So Dani started losing her hair around 2019, and she said that stress was the main factor. She said that in college, between doing her YouTube channel and being a student, she experienced stress-induced hair, and she also would compulsively pull out strands of her hair due to anxiety, a condition related to trichotillomania.

28:03I don't know if I'm pronouncing that right, but you guys know what I'm talking about, which led to significant hair loss. She started to wear really fancy, expensive custom wigs, and it was her secret for a while. She ended up releasing a video called Danny's Little Lies and talked about how I was lying to my audience. Here's why. And it became this whole thing. A lot of people speculate that this whole wig situation was just a ploy for her to launch Divi. She would go on to launch Divi in 2021, a line of scalp and hair health products. The flagship product is the Divi scalp serum formulated to promote healthier, fuller looking hair.

28:45After giving birth to Stella in 2020, she went through postpartum hair shedding, a common issue many new moms face. She began researching and made a homemade serum that seemed to improve her hair fullness. She started with a scalp serum, but later expanded to a full line of shampoo, conditioner, vitamins, supplements, a scalp detox mask, a dry shampoo, and other products. The signature Divi scalp serum became a bestseller and reportedly sold out in just two hours after launching. Divi has really skyrocketed Dani's net worth. Like we said up top, She has been created on Forbes' top creators list for several years in a row.

29:29Less than one year after launch, she reported that Divi had generated$23 million in sales, which is crazy. Fun fact, Divi also sponsored Brittany Lynn Mahomes' 30th birthday party.

29:42Christy Noel:No way. Shut up. That actually makes all the sense in the world, though. Come on. It really does. The brand has gotten a lot of criticism, understandably. a lot of people refer to it as snake oil or a scam because Danny is still, people speculate, wearing wigs, extensions, that kind of thing, all while promoting the serum meant to promote natural hair growth. It reminds me of Miss What, Danielle Bernstein and WellBell, her hair supplements that she's an investor in. I didn't know this. Yeah, because it's a very long-lasting conspiracy theory that she wears extensions, but then is like, no, it's just well-belle, you guys.

30:24But yeah, people have clocked that Dani is clearly wearing extensions. You can see, I have never been like an extension girly, but you can see where they are fastened, I guess, in some of Dani's videos and photos.

30:39Christy Noel:Interesting. Ugh, God. I know it's just like so it's such a classic influencer thing it's like buy this so you can have hair like mine even though my hair isn't real to be clear also in Hollywood I would say 99 % of the female celebrities have fake hair like you think that Serena Carpenter's hair she wakes up like that I can almost guarantee she's wearing a wig or there's many extensions in that scalp of hers do not 100 % do not be influenced thinking that why doesn't my hair look like that like come on. This is all so fake. And also because they're dyeing their hair so frequently, their hair is not sustaining.

31:15Christy Noel:It's not growing and full and luscious like you think. So don't feel like shit about your own hair. Yeah, 100%. She also claims that Divi is science-backed and even mentions clinical studies. However, when commenters have asked for details or results of those studies, Dani can't really answer them. Agreeable underscore street 6093 on Reddit commented her whole brand is disingenuous. Fake hair extensions every time she promotes Divi, people being blocked or having comments deleted when they ask, say anything remotely negative about it. I've even asked neutral questions before about her clinical studies, and I just get left on read.

31:51People also suspect her Amazon reviews are fake or paid for. And another criticism she gets is that she heavily markets Divi towards women experiencing hair thinning after pregnancy, which is postpartum hair loss, which is very common. And a lot of people call this predatory because it usually reverses naturally with time. So by the time most moms would start taking Divi supplements, their hair would naturally be growing back anyway. Short time lurkeys on Reddit commented, postpartum hair loss grows back. That's the scam here. She claims it helps with postpartum hair loss, but women experiencing this don't use Divi until they notice the shedding.

32:29After three months of shedding, your hair begins to grow back. She then takes credit for something that happens for almost every woman postpartum at six months. Apparently, by the way, just a note, Divi no longer sells the hair growth supplements, but they still sell the serum, shampoo, conditioner, all of that. And the prices are not freaking cheap, by the way. Even their dry shampoo, if you look at their website, I'm looking at their website now, their dry shampoo is$42. their scalp serum is$44 their shampoo is$36 it's not cheap their 100ml of scalp serum is$122 so if you get the big size these aren't drugstore prices these are luxury Sephora prices that's like Kerasau

33:21Christy Noel:which is a very very expensive legitimate brand that's actually insane like$42 for dry shampoo I think that's higher than anything I've paid for dry shampoo before. Yeah, that's not okay. That's a lot for dry shampoo. If you don't use dry shampoo, please know that that is not a normal price. Your home design should feel like you. And if it doesn't, it's not because you have bad taste. It might just be a budget problem. Well, Wayfair fixes that. This is my sixth apartment in 12 years in New York City, which is crazy to think about. So when you move that much, you become less and less enthusiastic about spending money on new pieces.

33:56Of course, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated, but knowing it's not my forever home makes it hard to want to splurge. That's why I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now. I'm obsessed with my latest purchase. It sounds kind of silly, but we were previously throwing our laundry in an open laundry bin that just ended up looking messy and cheap in the corner of our bedroom. It became an absolute eyesore, so I searched for closed wicker laundry bins on Wayfair that could hide the mess and add like a chic, beachy touch to our bedroom. And I found the perfect one for under$100.

34:26It seriously was such an upgrade to our bedroom, aesthetically and functionally, it's hard to even describe it or put it into words. And it's little purchases like that that can make all the difference in your space. Ready to upgrade your home for way less? Head to Wayfair.com right now to shop all things home and get your space ready for less. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R dot com. Wayfair, every style, every home. Nothing makes you appreciate good bedding more than a hot summer night, especially when your air conditioning is broken like ours was recently. I don't want to talk about it. Having something that's lightweight, breathable, cool, and easy to sleep in, no matter how hot it gets, is so freaking important.

35:04That's why I love Quince. It's been my go-to for bedding for so long now, with high-quality materials like 100 % European linen and organic cotton. You can literally feel the difference. I love waking up not sweaty. Quince has everything you need to make your bed feel cooler, lighter, and more comfortable for summer. From breathable sheets to linen shams and duvet covers in soft, seasonal colors, relaxed stripes, and timeless neutrals. My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets and duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy and even has a cooling effect, which is obviously perfect for those hot summer nights.

35:37I also love the look of it. It's a soft gray gingham and just has this classic look that instantly elevates our bedroom. And I love knowing that we're sleeping on 100 % cotton and not some cheap polyester blend. I also love their Mulberry Silk pillowcases and eye masks. They help keep your hair smooth and skin hydrated overnight because they don't absorb your natural oils like other materials do. Quince bedding is made for literal beauty sleep, you guys. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 % less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical manufacturers and cut out the middleman.

She basically disappeared from social media right before having her third baby. And she announced it as a little social media detox for her well-being.

38:22And they even started rerunning old podcast episodes. People were like, where the heck is Danny Austin? There were even articles about it and people just really speculating. Is there a family emergency? Is there legal trouble? Was there a falling out with her management? She gave an update on her products Instagram, basically explaining, this is what it says. Had the best time at Blackberry Farm. Was really thinking about it. And I'm going to be trying a little social media detox. Not sure for how long, but I think it may be really good for me and the family. Going to miss you guys. I've never really tried this and thought it would be a good time.

38:59If not now, then when? Love y 'all. The hiatus came to an end in early 2025 when she returned to announce the birth of her third baby, Summit. I was like Sutton? No, Summit. Okay, so she announced the birth of Summit and more is revealed about the hiatus when she starts podcasting again with her husband, Jordan. And so let's kind of get to Jordan. Jordan, her husband, like we said, they've been together for a long time, over 10 years at this point. But they present this kind of united front to their audience. They work together. He works for her, essentially. But they podcast together. But people suspect there are marital issues behind the scenes.

39:38So in February 2025, when they return to the podcast and explain the hiatus, they basically revealed that they had gone through a bit of a rough patch in their marriage. And Jordan admitted that he, quote unquote, hated Danny for a period of time. He basically says that she tried to blow up their lives by quitting social media, which is so dramatic.

40:05Christy Noel:What? I know. And Danny talks about how she says that she felt dead inside at one point, but not depressed, which is really sad. She felt the need to be a go-getter, successful businesswoman, et cetera, and was just pushing herself too hard. Maybe that motherhood wasn't all that it was cracked up to be is the impression that listeners got. She also acknowledged that she had prioritized social media and success over her kids. And it's good that she could admit that, but that is such a freaking red flag. It's giving Brittany from Real Houses of Salt Lake City. If you know, you know, she felt like she hit rock bottom.

40:39They mentioned that their marriage was just at a really bad point. Danny acknowledged that she would use social media to feel better about herself when she was feeling emotions that she didn't want to deal with, i.e. upset with her husband. And during her break, she didn't work on social media. She felt like that was helpful for her. She wasn't using that as a coping mechanism anymore. She was in therapy and marriage counseling to be at baseline functioning because she was so at rock bottom, which I actually applaud her for being so open about this. And she says social media is not what it seems.

41:16And I, again, appreciate that a lot as we are two people who talk about just the facade of social media and the lies and how fake everything is and how we're all comparing ourselves to these influencers, but like nothing is really real. She discussed that she returned to social media because she enjoys it. So it's like if it brings her joy, sure, but it also seems like it's making her insane. Honestly, they lost a lot of money while they were on their hiatus. which again, Jordan blames Danny for kind of blowing up their lives for a bit, but she was figuring out hers. And I think that's also maybe the problem with some of these husbands that end up working for their wives.

41:56Like I don't understand how that's sustainable.

41:58Christy Noel:Well, also your wife, she also has just bared your third child, I think, right? Summit or your fourth child. And she's clearly postpartum. Her hormones are all over the place. She's incredibly burnt out. And you, as her husband, Jordan, should be there supporting your wife no matter what decision she decides to take. If that's continuing to work and continuing to hustle or also taking care for mental health, you should be standing there right by her side. It's so disgusting that he was saying, oh, she's blowing up our lives. Well, you get your ass to work and do something else. Yeah, get your ass to work.

42:34Christy Noel:Yeah, if you're riding her coattails and you're complaining about the fact that the money isn't coming in as lucratively as you'd like, then you do something you get a job exactly oh my god that's so disgusting it's so beta and like it gives me a huge again i'm not saying that the man always needs to be the one working that's not what i'm saying but when your job is to help her run her business and you're her co-ceo or yeah partner you know partner then put your money where your mouth is and contribute in other ways if she decides to take a break oh this is so triggering and beta and disgusting fucking contribute Jordan he is the worst he he really sucks in a lot of ways but they also mentioned this podcast that Danny is trying to appreciate where they are at now instead of always looking on to bigger and better things they give an example of they don't always need to be looking for new houses online but they recently posted at this point they had just recently posted looking at Mega Mansions.

43:32And now we know that they just bought a new home. They have, I think, several vacation homes at this point. They have a lake house in Texas and a Nantucket house and their main residence in Dallas.

43:44Christy Noel:Can you imagine being so wealthy, Sophie, that instead of just looking online, like on Zara.com, you're looking on Zillow.com and just thinking about where your next home purchase will be? Isn't that crazy? Also in this housing market, where even just regular people are struggling to find one residence. There aren't starter homes anymore. Everything is millions of dollars. It's fucking crazy. So to have multiple homes in this housing market is crazy. Yeah, so I know that we joke about Jordan being a quote unquote beta. And I think there's, you know, a lot to say about the alpha male and beta male.

44:20I think that there's some toxicity there when we talk about male roles. but that is a lot of the criticism that he gets is that he is kind of like Danny is little people joke and they're like oh he's the wife she wears she wears the pants in the relationship and I know that we're talking about like traditional gender roles like who cares about traditional gender roles but that's a lot of the criticism that he kind of gets it's like you are literally like what what sort of husband like duties are you bringing to this relationship because all you do is work for your wife and then complain about her and that's about her that's the crux of

44:58Christy Noel:the issue I don't care that he works for that you do your thing you guys create this business together it's more about you're complaining when she wants to take a break that to me is beta and like disgusting and shaming her so I actually was so fucking grossed out by him originally when I saw a video of her it was her giving birth to one of their kids and he is vlogging the entire thing first of all like why like I know that this is their job it just seems like this is like classic like influencer dystopian culture because like why are you vlogging your wife giving birth He seems to be laughing at her while she's in pain during labor.

45:44What? And I just remember watching this and being like infuriated. I'm like, he is shoving a camera in her face the entire time and just being so annoying. I would have literally kicked him out of the delivery room or like punched him in the face. There's something just so off-putting about him. And well, yeah, obviously on Reddit said, watching this video enraged me on her behalf. Say what you will about her, but she's also a woman in labor who was clearly super sick. She seemed to be in pain. He was condescending, sticking his phone in her face and disrespecting her choice for natural birth.

46:13I'm honestly shocked they chose to post this video. It makes him look like an asshole. Yeah. Jordan has also been accused of potentially allegedly being unfaithful. And there are a couple of things that lead people to speculate this. And this is all speculation. We are not saying we believe these things. These are just what people have said. some of the super snarkers, like we said, because Danny does have a dedicated snark subreddit, have said about their marriages that sometimes people are like, is it giving lavender marriage again? Like, what do we know? We have no idea. This is just what people speculated.

46:52So people think that he is sort of like overcompensating sometimes. So during an episode of their podcast, Danny talks about how Jordan removed sex scenes from any TV show that they watch. So he would go in and not let them watch the sex scenes, I guess. And this is for him to avoid temptation. So it's like that classic Christian purity culture type of thing that people find very strange. They also, again, they have presented a united front, but have also been open about their marital problems. But what's interesting is that it seems like the past few episodes of their podcast, it's been either solo episodes or Danny with a guest, no Jordan.

47:40So it's like, is their marriage on the rocks again? What's going on?

47:44Christy Noel:Because they co-host the podcast together, right? Yes. So there was also a moment just as a side note where Danny asked Jordan to suck her clogged breast because it was clogged during breastfeeding. It's called mastitis. So they really just like do not have boundaries at all. It's just a very peculiar dynamic, I would say. Peculiar is a perfect way to describe it. And Sophie's comment here just come again in big, bold question mark, question mark, capital letters. come again. It kind of reminds me, honestly, of, I don't know, how do I say this? With Grant Trizzy Trout and Maddie Pruitt and Danny Austin and Jordan Ramirez, they seem, they're very hyper Christian, you know, and typically in Christian households, you have the alpha male who brings in the bacon and the submissive woman who's typically maybe a trad wife or whatever.

48:41Christy Noel:And in these environments that they're at these mega churches, that's probably who they're more often they're not surrounded by. But then it's an interesting dynamic when the woman often actually has the more lucrative career in being an influencer. So I'd imagine being the husband of these influencers of Maddie, of the Maddies and the Dannies, I'm sure from the husband's POV, they might be feeling a little bit emasculated by being with these powerhouse women because in their culture and in their values and in their groups of friends, that's not necessarily the norm. so I don't know it's very interesting to see this dynamic play out because I'm sure for them it's a lot more yeah emasculating than they'd like to admit that's such a good point that it's like they clearly believe in like traditional gender roles but they are not that's not their lifestyle so it's like how do they reckon I feel like they have trouble reconciling that and that's the root of probably a lot of their issues and insecurities.

49:38Okay. So let's get into the drama with Danny and her brother Landon and his now wife, Olivia. By the way, I looked up Landon. He looks way too much like Jordan, her husband. I'm disturbed.

49:51Christy Noel:Sophie's note. Landon looks like Jordan. Help. Help. Literally help. Danny has featured Landon on her channel since her early days. Like we said, They would do sibling stuff. And she ended up running a bachelor style matchmaking thing for him in 2021, which is also like weird. What? I know it's very strange. She called for applications and she planned a bunch of dates for her brother. But Landon eventually ended up meeting his future wife, Olivia, and Danny was early on just like obsessed with her. She posted all about their engagement and their wedding and was just so excited. She clearly was very close with her brother and was therefore very close with her future sister-in-law.

50:32People then started to notice that after Landon and Olivia's wedding, Danny seemed to stop engaging with Landon and Olivia. Did something happen at the wedding? People think that this is related potentially to Danny's social media hiatus. They said that Dani's speech was strange in some of the videos that were posted, that something felt off in the content. And also Olivia apparently changed her Instagram handle to Olivia Austin even before the wedding, which people speculate Dani thought was weird. It's like, are you trying to like compete and become this influencer? Oh, and Olivia was, yeah.

51:18And Olivia was starting to become an influencer of herself and gain a following. So some hypothesize that Dani was trying to manage Olivia and Olivia didn't like that. And then Olivia started to gain a following and then Dani felt competitive with her.

51:32Christy Noel:Interesting. I mean, I could definitely see Dani potentially being triggered by Olivia riding her coattails and then growing an animosity against Olivia. This actually makes a lot of sense to me. And I think naturally, if you're an influencer with millions of followers, I'm sure that celebrities often feel this way too. you wonder in your circle who is here for me because they really like me versus who is here to ride my coattails. And obviously in Olivia's case, she fell in love with Danny's brother, not Danny, but naturally Olivia will gain a following. And maybe Danny's feeling threatened by that and being like, no, no, no, I'm the star here.

52:05Christy Noel:You can't overtake. You can't overtake my following. Yeah. I'm the one who has the following. How dare you? I could totally see this being a thing. Yeah, totally. So few underscore film underscore four, seven, seven, one on Reddit says, I have a feeling that in the week after the family honeymoon post-wedding, which I guess they went family honeymoon post-wedding, which interesting. Landon and Olivia broke the news that they would be going in their own direction out from under Danny's thumb. And that was the catalyst for the fractured relationships. Light and Love 11 on Reddit speculated that Olivia changing her Insta handle to at Olivia Austin before they were even married made Danny think that she was trying to secure the influencer title in the handle and that it was tacky.

52:48And it was around that that things started to become iffy. Who freaking knows? Oh, also, someone else on Reddit who has a deleted handle said how weird it was that Dani didn't go out to the wedding until the day before, which is kind of weird. It's like when family is there and it's a destination wedding or whatever it is, everyone's there for earlier than just the day before. there are family events before everyone else comes in, at least in my experience. And again, people were like, the family honeymoon was so fucking weird. Maybe Olivia was like, I need space from your family, which would be understandable in that case.

53:26Another thing that people think was really odd is that, and this is so funny, Danny surprised Landon and Olivia with a dancing robot at their reception. people think that olivia could be mad about that so basically danny said that she called their wedding planner was like what is something that they wanted for the wedding and didn't end up getting because i want to get it for them and the wedding planner said they really wanted these dancing robots so danny got them the dancing robots come out and then you can see in the video that landon and olivia they're not like oh my god yeah you got the dancing robots they look shocked and appalled like i don't believe that landon and olivia were like we need these dancing robots.

54:05It's really uncomfortable to watch.

54:07Christy Noel:She's trolling her own brother at his wedding. Yeah. Let's talk about the content surrounding her kids because it is very, very, very heavily centered around her children. And so a recurring theory is that Dani really enjoys the extra attention and engagement that pregnancy slash newborn content brings to our platforms. And I I would say that's pretty common for a lot of these influencers is that they get more attention when they're pregnant and when they start having kids. And it's just like the sad reality of our society. Again, there's so much about influencer culture that's just dystopian.

54:44It's literally a Black Mirror episode. But the amount that she posts her kids is honestly disturbing. It's so frequent. Her kids are the stars of her content. And I really respect a lot of influencers do have kids and they choose not to post them or cover their faces or whatever it is. Love that. Like I have respect for people who do that because they could easily be like, you know what? I have creeps that love watching my kids on Instagram stories. So it brings me engagement. I'm just going to keep exploiting them. That seems to be what Dani does.

55:18Christy Noel:Yeah. To be honest, when you're talking about that, I think of Amanda Santon from The Bachelor when she would post like really revealing photos of her young daughters. And I'm thinking, who is this for? And then when you, I think we've talked about this, but I forgot what influencers that, it was that when we - Arielle Charnas, I think. Yeah, we would see the shares, the number of shares of these - Yes. These photos. Oh my God, it's so disturbing. Yeah, Arielle Charnas is one who will have five times as many shares. Because you can see that. You can see how many shares on like a photo, on a post of one of her daughters.

55:48Like in a bathing suit. Shouldn't that be a red flag? Yeah, yeah. That should be a red flag to you.

55:53Christy Noel:it's incredibly disturbing. And you have to know that for as many followers as you have that are genuinely wanting to see your kids because they love the content, there's that many followers also watching with nefarious reasons and purpose. So I think we can't ignore that. Yeah. And yeah, to your point, to be an influencer with children, you will make more money. That's how you can hawk more affiliate links. More brands will reach out to collaborate with you. It is automatically more money. So for influencers to make the decision to not share their children, despite the money that they could gain from showing their children, the bar is low, but I mean, it kind of does speak a bit.

56:31The bar is so low, but it's worth applauding. It's like you are putting your children before the money, which a lot of these influencers do not do, including Danny. And people say that she likes to dangle slash tease the possibility of another baby in order to get more engagement. She knew that her engagement would skyrocket when she returned after her social media hiatus by announcing this baby. She knew everyone would go crazy and they did. Another thing, back in 2020 when she was giving birth to Stella, when she went into labor with her, with Stella, people pointed out how in their little like labor vlog, like we said, Jordan had his camera in her face.

57:10She was more focused on filming content and getting her makeup done than on getting to the hospital in time. She delayed going to the hospital so she could have a full face of makeup on during delivery. And I remember watching, like, why did I even watch this? I don't remember. There was a point in time, I never followed her, but I kept up with her a little bit. But I have such a vivid memory of this. And I was like, what are you doing? Get to the hospital. Who gives a fuck about your makeup? But again, it's all about content above protecting, above the safety of her children. Because God forbid you don't get to the hospital in time.

57:40Christy Noel:Right, great point. And I think, quite honestly, there are two influencers that come to mind that have done this as well. Stassi Schroeder and Claudia Oshre. Before they knew they were going into labor, they would make sure they had a full face, which it's very odd. We've totally missed the mark. And now everything is becoming a photo opportunity, including the delivery of your child. It's so bizarre. Take a step back for a second, take yourself out of the influencer role, and just think about how nuts that sounds. Yeah. No, and there's nothing wrong with wanting to look good. We know you're going to be taking hospital bed content.

58:08I understand even normal people want to have a little bit of makeup on, want to have their legs shaved, want to have their toenails on or whatever when they give birth. Sure. It was the fact that she almost delayed going to the hospital so she could finish her makeup. On her Instagram story, she was applying makeup even as her contractions were nearing two minutes apart. No. Like she was in the middle of contractions doing her makeup. It's like, okay, maybe that's not important right now, you know? Yeah. The future of furniture is here. Danny has also been accused of treating employees poorly. Cassidy Wilson worked for Dani from 2017 to 2019 as her first full-time employee. And years after leaving in 2023, Cassidy took to TikTok to share her experience. And the videos have since been deleted, but you can still find them online.

59:22She basically started as a full-time employee back in 2017, when Dani only had around 200 ,000 only, but like at the time, 200 ,000 followers and left in 2019 when Dani had over a million followers. So she was there as Dani really started to build her empire. Her responsibilities were handling creative briefs, negotiations, sending and posting content, pulling analytics, setting up photo shoots, managing the business calendar, et cetera, et cetera. And apparently Jordan would micromanage everything and he would call her out of the blue. And at one point included, he accused her of stealing and not being supportive enough of his wife.

1:00:05So people are like, was this Jordan or was this Danny? Jordan being Danny's mouthpiece.

1:00:12Christy Noel:Right. I guess Cassidy had like a food blog with less than 200 followers at the time, but she would post food in her spare time and Danny didn't like that. Danny told Cassidy that she was uncomfortable bringing her to food events because she might take a picture of the event food and post it on her personal food Instagram. So it's like, here's Dani pretending to uplift other women and creators, but doesn't actually support her employees having their own passions and online presence. Even if they didn't have partnerships, like it's, she had 200 followers. She didn't have partnerships. She was just posting for her friends, but it's like, no, I cannot have any competition whatsoever, which is so silly.

1:00:47Christy Noel:I'm actually so curious about your thoughts on that because I know for a fact, the Kardashians do not like when teams end up building a social media brand. And in fact, I noticed that Skims was hiring like for an accounting job. And I was just curious, like the salary range. So I went on to the job description and on the job description, it said, we are not interested in hiring people that want to be influencers on the Skims corporate for an accounting position. Right. And again, I know this for a fact. So I'm always curious from other people's POV, if you were a huge influencer, whether it be Kardashian level or someone as big as Danny Austin, or maybe even like us, why do we care?

1:01:23Wait, that's so funny also, because it's like, imagine becoming an influencer off of being on the skims accounting team. I like what I'm on my headline. Yeah. And your bio, but I also speaking of Arielle Tarnas, I remember Arielle Tarnas when she posted looking to hire someone, she's like, I'm not interested in hiring someone who wants to be a blogger. I mean, I understand to an extent. It's like, I want to make sure that this person wants to work for me and not try to ultimately compete with me or ride my coattails. I get that. But I think it's so silly that Cassidy had a fucking stupid, not stupid, but like a food Instagram with less than 200 followers.

1:02:01And Danny was upset about that.

1:02:03Christy Noel:It's harmless. She like a food Instagram with less than 200. Come on. 200. Okay. We're saying 200 period. So when Cassidy deleted her videos, people suspected that Jordan and Danny threatened legal action against her. Danny seemingly responded to the video in essence deleted video saying vague shit along the lines of people make mistakes and others want to tear you down. So essentially trying to say that Cassidy was just trying to tear her down and she's the victim. More recently, someone posted about meeting someone who worked for Danny, but had to quit because they're the most toxic family to be around.

1:02:39And this is in the Danny Austin subreddit. Apparently the former employee was forced to sign an NDA. Didn't work that well, I guess. What she shared, people suspect that something went down at her brother Landon's wedding. So the wedding rumors are true, apparently, according to this former employee. They said, all I can say without compromising my identity is the way our conversation unfolded and things that were said makes it seem highly likely shit hit the fan either at the wedding or immediately after during Danny's social media break. I hate that I can't share more, but if you were in the room and heard what I heard, you would understand why I think something big happened around that time.

1:03:16Danny's mother, who people have nicknamed Tornado. She is featured in a lot of Dani's content, by the way. Yes, yes. Apparently hires young assistants for herself who only last a few months.

1:03:30Christy Noel:That's so funny. Let's get into the ma-ha of it all. Dani is pretty vocally anti-vax, which is not great. Can I just say that I hate this shit? And she talks about it in regards to not vaccinating her children. And it's one thing to not give a fuck about your own health or your own children's safety. But you're putting other people's children in danger by not getting your children fully vaxxed. One million percent. That's what's so selfish about it. It's like, what? It's my body, my choice. My children, my choice. It's like, no, you're putting other people in harm's way. It's infuriating. I'm sorry.

1:04:16Christy Noel:Yeah. So in 2023, on an Instagram story and on her podcast, she talked about her approach to vaccinating her kids and the importance of doing personal research. We all know what that means. Do your own research. Am I right? She said she was hesitant about blindly following every standard pediatric recommendation and told followers to be informed what she framed as pro media literacy in the context of health decisions. And to an extent, I'm like, yeah, you should see multiple doctors about a big decision. Do your research in terms of that. Don't do your research from fucking like Google. You know that she's just Googling and reading junk science and bullshit Reddit threads.

1:04:51Christy Noel:And only pulling up articles that confirm her own biases. Like you're not pulling up any other diverse opinion. Shut up. Yes. And she immediately got backlash for this. She said that she wasn't outright anti-vax, but she was just advocating for informed choices, you know? And she cites her working on Divi as to why she knows that sometimes natural remedies work better than pharmaceuticals. She's a scientist, guys, just because she's worked on Divi. She knows exactly how pharmaceutical companies work, how they operate in all clinical studies. Divi is science-backed. There are so many studies. She can't cite them, but there are many such studies.

1:05:29The FDA has signed off.

1:05:31Christy Noel:There's been many publications on Divi. We can find them easily. So she has said that she feels like people have woken up. She says that people are like, wait, why did we go from, Oh my God, this is, she's so inarticulate. She's basically saying like, why are we just blindly trusting big pharma? And now it's like, okay, people are starting to think for themselves and wake up a little bit and not blindly trust big pharma and not blindly trust big pharma's marketing. She insists, I'm not anti-vaccine. I'm not anti-medicine, but don't give my kids 18 shots. She's like, give me the flu shot, fine, but I'm going to question everything else.

1:06:13I'll do the necessities, but I don't want to go any deeper than that. But what does she mean the necessities?

1:06:21Christy Noel:Like be specific. So she posted recently, semi-recently, four months ago, Dallas Mamas, we just got a letter from our doctor kicking us out of the practice because not all of my kids are fully vaxxed. Do y 'all know of a pediatrician in Dallas that comes to your house? So she's not even doing the necessities. because if she's doing the necessity, she wouldn't be getting kicked out of her pediatrician's office for not being fully back. So she is clearly she says that she will do some of the vaccinations, but not all of the necessary ones that doctors recommend, which are the ones that they are they're kicking her out of the pediatrician because she is going to be putting other children in danger by bringing her kids there.

1:07:03Christy Noel:Right. They are now a hazard. They're walking literal hazard. Exactly. And I'm talking about so if you're listening to this and you're like and I'm not trying to like talk down to anyone because I feel like I'm a fucking idiot. But something that I learned in regards to vaccines is that newborn babies cannot get vaccinated. Like newborn babies, they have to reach a certain age before it's safe to vaccinate them because they're so young and small and fragile. So newborn babies are especially susceptible. That's why you'll see if you meet a newborn, the parents are often like, wash your hands 10 times.

1:07:36Here's hand sanitizer, put on a mask. They're very susceptible. So when people are bringing their newborn babies to the pediatrician's office and there are kids running around that are not fully vaccinated, that is literally putting these newborn babies in danger. And the doctors 100 % did the right thing. And she is a nut job for thinking that this is safe or normal or something to boast about on social media to her millions of followers. And people speculate this is rage bait, actually. I don't know. I think she might actually be this crazy, though.

1:08:06Christy Noel:so yeah I think she 100 % believes what she's putting out is reasonable but I also think she knows what she's doing and the kind of reception she will get when she posts this like I think it's equal parts self-awareness and equal parts like you also are yeah you're rage-baiting us yeah exactly because it's like okay you're choosing to be controversial yes especially right now yeah especially right now during this very heightened time of discourse around vaccinations and Maha and I almost, I almost said Robert Downey Jr. RSK Jr. Robert Downey Jr. And his Maha initiative. Yeah. Yeah. Maha. Maha.

1:08:46Christy Noel:I always think of Amanda Bynes. So it's like, this is a choice. And people are like, this is very calculated. She does anything for engagement, including exploiting her kids. Yes. She even, I know that there has been recent discourse around Tylenol being dangerous for pregnant women to take. I think that obviously do your own research. No, I'm just kidding. But I think there probably is some maybe validity to a ton of Tylenol being bad for pregnant. A ton of Tylenol is bad for anyone, not just pregnant women. But Tylenol is pretty much the only pain relief medicine that pregnant women can take.

1:09:26They can't take Advil. They can't take ibuprofen. Yep. So you just want pregnant women to suffer by saying, hey, actually, you can't take Tylenol either. Because by all accounts, taking just a normal small amount of Tylenol while pregnant is perfectly fine. I guess there are studies where it's like you take a ton of Tylenol. Yeah, taking a ton of Tylenol for anyone is bad. But she basically went fully on board with this whole Maha thing and said that Tylenol is bad. She said, even my doctor said that Tylenol is fine to take while pregnant. It's the only you think I can take while pregnant, but it's actually bad to take Tylenol while pregnant, according to these recent Maha studies.

1:10:03So I'm just going to put that discourse out there. Apparently she was deleting comments from anyone saying otherwise and talking about how dangerous this rhetoric is. And it's also ironic because at one point she was a hashtag Tylenol partner.

1:10:16Christy Noel:No way. Yeah. So, uh, that is the gist of Dani Austin. I know there's a lot. She has quite the resume of controversies. Let us know. I know again, if you were a Danny Austin super snarker, because there are a lot of you out there, this is actually a very, very, very highly recommended episode. So I'm glad we finally covered her. Let us know if there is anything that we may have missed, but I feel like these are the big ones. No, nice job. I think when I started to explore Danny Austin ahead of this episode, I was like, Oh, okay. She seems fine enough, whatever. But as we get further and further down the Jordan of it all, this rhetoric about not vaccinating your children, it's very, what's the word?

1:11:01Christy Noel:It's kind of almost upsetting. It's like you have such a big platform and you're promoting such dangerous rhetoric and you are so influential. And it just kind of just makes me sad that so many people are taking what she says is gospel without consulting health professionals, doctors, people in your corner that are educated enough to be making these decisions. And it sucks because I think people, even me, sometimes I'll be on TikTok and I'm like, oh, wait, if that person said it, maybe I shouldn't do this or that. You know, you can't, you can't be so influenced by people that we follow. And it sucks that with her devoted fan base, they're probably taking what she's saying as gospel.

1:11:40Christy Noel:It's just, yeah, it's sad. Yeah, it is. Oh, and thank you, Jordan, for mentioning this. I brush over this, that she actually is pregnant again with her fourth child. So just going back to the whole loving how pregnancy and baby content ups her engagement, she is doing it all over again. Hold on to your hats. Like, are you ready for another, more and more content? And yeah, I'm looking forward to this Jordan and Danny kind of relationship unfold as the years go on because he seems a piece of work. Yeah, clearly there's something up with them in their relationship. Let's be honest here. Yeah, there's just seems like they're just not doing.

1:12:23But again, I will commend her for doing the whole Instagram is a false reality. I was really struggling, but you never know for my Instagram. So good for her on that. But everything else, I think she is kind of a she's she's like a snake oil salesman. I feel like is the best way to describe her.

1:12:38Christy Noel:Yeah, I think that's a very fair statement. Thank you guys so much for listening. You did a really good job, Sophie. 1:13:38you become less and less enthusiastic about spending money on new pieces. Of course, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated, but knowing it's not my forever home makes it hard to want to splurge. That's why I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now. I'm obsessed with my latest purchase. It sounds kind of silly, but we were previously throwing our laundry in an open laundry bin that just ended up looking messy and cheap in the corner of our bedroom. It became an absolute eyesore, so I searched for closed wicker laundry bins on Wayfair that can hide the mess and add like a chic beachy touch to our bedroom.

1:14:09And I found the perfect one for under$100. It seriously was such an upgrade to our bedroom aesthetically and functionally, it's hard to even describe it or put it into words. And it's little purchases like that that can make all the difference in your space. Ready to upgrade your home for way less? Head to wayfair.com right now to shop all things home and get your space ready for less. From breathable sheets to linen, shams, and duvet covers in soft, seasonal colors, relaxed stripes, and timeless neutrals. My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets and duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy and even has a cooling effect, which is obviously perfect for those hot summer nights. I also love the look of it. It's a soft gray gingham and just has this classic look that instantly elevates our bedroom. And I love knowing that we're sleeping on 100 % cotton, not some cheap polyester blend.

1:15:34I also love their mulberry silk pillowcases and eye masks. They help keep your hair smooth and skin hydrated overnight because they don't absorb your natural oils like other materials do.
