In short
The Snarkbait episode “What’s the Snark on Justin Bieber?” discusses Justin Bieber’s rise to fame, his “dark chapter” (2013–2014), alleged drug use and mental health struggles, health diagnoses, and his long-running relationship with Selena Gomez, with hosts also debating public backlash and online harassment.
Guest backgrounds
No external guests are interviewed. The hosts are Christy and Sophie, both long-time Bieber fans. Sophie describes growing up following Bieber since 2008 and attending multiple celebrity events (seat-filling/extra work) including Justin’s “Baby” MTV VMAs performance; Christy shares personal fan experiences, including buying VIP tickets to meet Bieber at the Hollywood Palladium.
Key claims
Bieber’s childhood instability (young parents, depression/addiction allegations) and early fame left him without “tools” for responsibility. The hosts claim he escalated from weed to pills/lean/molly/shrooms and used Xanax to numb shame. They argue punishment for incidents was often disproportionate and that online pile-ons can be psychologically harmful. They also claim Bieber’s Coachella deal is notable because he’s headlining without an agent.
Notable examples
Scooter Braun/Usher discovery via YouTube; 2013 Anne Frank House guestbook “bleeper” comment; TMZ videos (bucket peeing, Clinton photo spray); 2014 egging, Miami Lamborghini drag racing arrest, assault charge dropped, ATV assault conviction; 2020 “Seasons” documentary admissions; 2020 Lyme disease and 2022 Ramsay Hunt syndrome; Selena relationship timeline (2010–2018, multiple breakups/returns).

1:04The treat you deserve. Pepsi Wild Cherry and Cream. Treat yourself. Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Snarkbait. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. How are you doing, Soph? Well, it has been quite a week. We're recording this on Thursday, April 2nd. So this has been the Amandeval, West Mandeval. Scamanda. Scamanda. Scamanda isn't like landing for me, I think, because I listened to that podcast, Scamanda. So I associate Scamanda with like a totally different thing. I like a mandible or West mandible, West mandible, because they're both, they're both guilty. So yeah, it has been quite a week keeping up with all of that.
1:46And as you guys know, we recorded an emergency episode and yeah, it's just been kind of consuming my life in probably an unhealthy way. Like I think I need to log off and you know who really needs to log off the people that are sending death threats to the people involved. Wait, that's so weird. I don't understand ever why people do that. It's so weird. Guys, if you want to like talk shit about celebrities, meet us here. Like be in our Spotify comments, go to Reddit, don't take it to people's comment sections. It's just very, very bizarre. So anyway, how has your week been? First of all, that's such a cute sweater.
2:24Oh my God, thank you. It's another Reformation, a little Reformation guy. I love Reformation cashmere. I love the pink. If you guys are watching on YouTube, youtube.com slash at snarkbaitpod. You can watch us on a full video, but your sweater is really, really cute. Thank you. I'm wearing our Tubi merch. Shout out to Tubi. Love Tubi. Love our Tubi merch. Sophie's favorite streaming service. It is just the comfiest, coziest. They sent us slides and a sweatshirt like a couple months back. And me and Sophie always say how it's like our comfiest, coziest sweatshirt. and it's been a long week so i'm like i need to be comfy up for this recording because this is a doozy this this this recording we're about to do yep sure as you guys know via the title we are talking everything justin bieber sophie you know i've been a believer since like day one but i'm curious i don't think we've ever talked about your relationship with the biebs ever so i don't even know like one when were you ever a fan if you like when did your fandom start if you ever have been a fan?
3:26Are you a lover of his music? What's your history with Justin? I feel like I have always been a casual fan of Justin Bieber. Like I would never, there was never a phase in my life where I was like, I'm a believer. But because we're kind of like the same age, I remember kind of growing up with him, right? Yeah. Yeah. And he has been famous now for like two, I think, okay, so I started following him 20, like 2008. So yeah, it's literally been almost two decades of us having Justin Bieber on the radio, on our TikToks, on our TV screens. Like, he is just such a staple of American culture, even though he is Canadian.
4:07So let's just get into it, shall we? Yeah. Let's. Okay. So Justin Bieber was born March 1st, 1994. So he is my Pisces, you know. Yeah, Pisces. My Pisces is twin flame, so to speak. Wait, you guys have the exact same birthday? No, I'm two days after him. You're March 3rd. Yeah. Okay, okay, okay. But Pisces, and that's why I knew when he was dating Selena, and we're going to obviously get into that relationship. It's a huge part of his career. She's a Cancer. So when you put a Pisces and a Cancer together, my first boyfriend was a Cancer, and it was like the most toxic, volatile thing ever. Because when you have two water signs together, you're looking for trouble.
4:47He is married to Hailey Bieber, which we all know. He has three siblings, Jasmine, Jackson, Allie. His parents are Jeremy and Patty. He has one son, Jack Blue's Bieber. And he is one of the defining pop stars of the 2010s. And then he spiraled for a number of years. Arrests, drug abuse, public meltdowns, crazy relationships, a lot of women. Most notably, I think recently, actually, he struggled with a neurological disease, financial strain, online speculations about his relationship at a very young age with Diddy. and in just a couple like by the time this airs this weekend hold on let me make sure i'm saying that correctly he will be headlining coachella and interestingly enough i think he is the first artist to headline coachella without an agent helping to like strike his deal so now he was negotiating directly with golden voice to secure his his spot versus going through an agent because he's kind of freelancing at this point i mean he fired scooter brawn which we will obviously get into.
5:50And if you guys want a deeper dive on Scooter Brawl, we did an entire episode on him a couple months back. So we kind of dig really like a lot far into that relationship. But yeah, I thought that was kind of interesting. That is interesting. Have you ever been to Coachella, by the way? No. When I was younger, it was always like a bucket list thing. And now I'm like, okay, that time has passed. I'm too old now. I'm just talking about myself personally. My body can't take it anymore. I used to go to Gov Ball in New York City. So many years in a row. And it's just the standing for hours and the walking around.
6:24It's like very exhausting. Like you're all day on your feet. And like, that's just something I can't do at my at my old age. So I know it's too much. Yeah. What about you? I have been once, but it's I mean, it's so close. Like I could drive right now and it would take me like less than two hours. Right. It was always thing that like my friends would go to in high school. And then it's obviously really blown up into like an influencer like brand deal. But back then it was like it really was all about the music. Like I went in 2014. That's when I spotted Kendall Jenner. Like she walked by me. Oh my God.
6:56Kendall Jenner when she was actually in her phase of hanging out with Selena Gomez. It was the same year she was with Selena and Kylie. Yes. It was that same weekend that I saw Kendall Jenner walk right in front of me and my friend had said something to me and I turned my back for just a second and she was gone by the time I looked back. But I was like, fuck, that was Kendall Jenner. That's so funny. And I know with this year with Justin headlining, so many influencers are literally going for Justin, it sounds like. Yeah. This, in the last couple of years, I know this is a bit of a segue, but I feel like it is very topical.
7:29For the last couple of years, Coachella has been in a bit of a flop era. And I mean that in like a way of, they haven't had issues selling tickets. Well, back in like, I think when I went in 2014, like if you were not on the website at the exact time, you would not have a chance of going. I think the last couple of years, it's been far easier to get tickets and people are selling their tickets. Like it just hasn't been that big of a hoopla. But I feel like with Sabrina and Justin headlining, it's more of like a mainstream pop, mainstream pop artist. And people are more willing to go like normal people like you and I.
7:57I feel like you and I were not that into like indie music or like music people haven't heard of. You know what I mean? Yeah, I'm pretty basic, honestly. Like, I feel like in college I was far more cool with my music taste. And now I'm just like, I listen to Sabrina and Taylor. Yeah, I feel like these days I, and I've talked about this before, I feel like I only listen to music like not that often anymore. Because I feel like I'm always listening to podcasts. Yeah. I don't know. But, and I also feel like without mainstream radio, I don't even know what's cool anymore. Like, I don't even know what pop songs are like hot right now.
8:32Like, I just listen to my like old faithful albums. What are your old faiths? Like John Mayer, Room for Squares. Mine is You're Gonna Die, and I feel like I could do an entire episode of why this album means so much to me. Tortured Poets Department. It is her best album. Oh, my God. I really don't like that album. Evermore and Folklore are two. Evermore especially is one that I go back to a lot. Evermore is so good, yeah. But Tortured Poets Department just never landed for me. I don't know why. I'm obsessed. I'm obsessed. I'll do an entire episode of why I think it's her best album. Oh, God. Please.
9:04Please spare me. Please don't. Please spare me. Okay, so let's talk about Justin Bieber's upbringing. Patti was allegedly very depressed when she had Justin, and his father, Jeremy, had anger issues. Patti wrote a memoir in 2012, and she reports that she was a survivor of sexual abuse, addiction, and even a suicide attempt before finding faith in Christianity. His parents were incredibly young when they had him. they were both 18 years old. I knew that they were young. I didn't realize they were 18 years old. Jeremy, his father, was a former carpenter and pro MMA fighter. And I don't have much to say about Jeremy.
9:45I kind of think he's a deadbeat dad. He was mostly out of the picture for the majority of Justin's life until Justin got famous. How convenient. How convenient, Jeremy. Yeah, he just kind of gives me gross vibes, if I'm being honest. Maybe he's changed. But I remember back in the day, I was like, I don't like Jeremy. Justin came from a pretty unstable household. he later like references a lot of his upbringing to defend his later like behavioral mental health problems, which to be honest, with everything that he's gone through, both in his childhood and when he was coming up into fame, I can't really blame him.
10:17Side note, remember all the other little tween pop stars that really tried to become the next Justin Bieber that weren't? Oh my God. Like, what's his name? Austin Mahone or whatever. Was that his name? Austin Mahone. Cody Simpson. Yes. They all tried to have that Justin Bieber edit. and it's like you cannot copy and paste Justin Bieber. He is one of one. He is talent. You guys, the Belieber is coming out. She's like, he is one of one. You cannot, you can't touch it. You cannot touch it. His vocals, he's like back in like 2018-er, he was so fucking hot, like so beautiful. Love his vocal range, like everything about him.
10:54I think he is truly such a talent. He is super musically inclined, like not just with his vocals, but he plays so many instruments, drums, piano, guitar, trumpet. Like, he's just a really, really talented musician. I think we can all agree on that. Oh, absolutely. He really is the blueprint. Yeah. He is. And we haven't really seen a male pop star of his caliber since. I don't know if we ever will. Like, you could argue maybe Harry Styles. I was going to say Harry Styles. But even Harry Styles' latest album kind of landed with a whimper, you know? Big question mark. Yeah. The fact that he's at Madison Square Garden for a month straight.
11:32And it's 30, like, I think 30 shows at Madison Square Garden in New York. And the tickets are like$800,$1 ,000. It's like, how is this real? Yeah, that's a little bit random. And I think that Harry Styles, he's so campy. But I don't think his vocal range is even close to Justin Bieber's. Listen to me. He's standing up for my man. I don't, like, literally the Blabors coming out. He's one of one. No, yeah, he really is. But he is. He really is. And I think the fact that he got discovered just from his raw talent alone, he came from a very regular background. Honestly, from poverty. Poverty, yeah.
12:09His parents were so young. They were on food stamps. He spent the majority of his childhood with his grandparents because, I mean, his parents were 18 years old. They were also children. You are no way financially sound to take care of a young child by yourself without your parents' help. Right. Which, yeah, his grandparents played a huge role in his upbringing. So, yeah, speaking of his come up and how he was discovered, so I think we all know by now, Scooter Braun came across one of his YouTube videos. And I think in, like, the mid-2000s, YouTube was still kind of coming up. Like, it wasn't the YouTube that we know today.
12:38And that also was, like, such a great story for people to hear. Like, this little kid from Stratford, Ontario, was discovered on YouTube and became this huge celebrity, little teeny pop star, you know? Scooter invited him to Atlanta when he was only 13 years old to record demos in a studio. And there he ran into Usher and then arranged an audition with Usher. We know about the whole Justin Timberlake v. Usher. Both of them wanted to sign Justin. Usher won that battle. And Justin signed a contract with Usher and Scooter Braun in 2008. Usher mentored Bieber and co-founded RBMG Records to sign him.
13:14L.A. Reid then signed Justin Bieber to Island Def Jam in October 2008. And he debuted his EP album, My World. in November 2009. Lives were changed, specifically Christy's. And I'm crying, scrolling down this document, and I'm confronted with a picture of Christy and Justin Bieber. I'm confronted. Me and my high school bestie Morgan went to see Justin at the Hollywood Palladium. And we did, in fact, purchase VIP tickets to meet him. And I remember exactly where I was when I purchased those tickets. I was at my mom's house by the fireplace, rushing to get these tickets. And yeah, we got VIP tickets.
13:53And there's a picture of Justin. He is like, it's like that iconic look. He's wearing a gray hoodie. The hoodie is on. He has his arms wrapped around me and Morgan. And we were obsessed. Oh my God. You guys are very, very close. Yeah, he like really is leaning into me. You know, I think he had a crush on me. Oh my God. It's like that line test where like he's leaning in towards you. He's into it. Not to brag or anything, but I've been around him three different times. Oh, my God. There's this time. Then this same friend of mine, Morgan, and I, that same year, I've talked about this before. There's a website called One Iota.
14:30I don't know if it exists anymore, but basically it's a seat filler site. So I've gone to the VMAs like a number of times with the seat filler website, all these things. Wow, I didn't know that about you. Yeah, I've gone to the set of The Voice when I went to the VMAs one year. I met like every celebrity because I was like at the red carpet, just like trolling everyone. Like I've been a freak since like very young age. Yeah. So me and Morgan were extras on Justin Bieber's baby MTV Music Awards performance. So the concept of it was Justin Bieber was in a red convertible and he had a bunch of girls chasing the convertible.
15:08And then the convertible went to a screeching halt and he goes into this like little like maze and he jumps onto stage and he starts performing baby me and morgan were one of the girls chasing the car he was such a little diva back then he didn't acknowledge any of us we were on set for the entire weekend under the fucking blazing hot sun he was too cool for us like he didn't introduce himself the third time i met him on the set of at the mtv movie or video awards don't remember vmas he took a photo with me and that one's very blurry but i can post it um so yeah i am a huge fan of justin beaver and have been for a very long time you two are one of one i'm in the mix with justin beaver in the mix so he has published debuted i don't know what the word is several albums my world 2.0 a year later in march 2010 believe in 2012 purpose 2015 that That is my favorite.
16:03Like as a non-believer, that album is so fucking good. It's his best work, I think, hands down. And I think it's... The Sorry music video, like that changed lives. Wait, when he's in that motel with that girl? No, the dancing. The dancing with all the background dancers. Is it too late now to say sorry? Sorry, I'm thinking of what do you mean? I was thinking of what do you mean? Okay, yes. Yeah. Also a good music video with the Sorry one. That was like such a moment in time. I also love, speaking of iconic music videos, the Drake one. I'm a pop star, not a... Bitches come... Yeah, yeah, yeah. That one's also a great music video.
16:39Okay, so let's talk about his... Actually, no, really quickly. His career totals, he's had eight number one Hot 100 hits, two Grammy wins from 31 nominations, 18 AMAs, 26 Billboard Music Awards, and approximately$587 million in concert tour grosses. Wow. So a very well-decorated musician. I didn't realize he's won Grammys. For some reason, I thought he's number one a Grammy. Only two wins out of 31 nominations. It's kind of crazy. I know. He's been nominated so many times. I mean, deservedly so, you know? Yeah. Yep. So let's talk about his dark chapter in 2013 to 2014. I remember just following his career for like a number of years at that point.
17:19And this is around the time when like I was seeing him fall off the deep end. And I remember this was like the biggest talk at work. Like everyone's like, he's out racing cars in Miami. He's throwing eggs at neighbor's house. Like he was just a fucking mess. Do you remember this era of Justin Bieber? I remember like the, yes, the monkey when he like got a monkey. And then he also like was peeing in a bucket. Yeah. And he like left the monkey at the Munich airport because like he didn't have his vaccination record. Like people are just so careless. Add it to the list. We need to do a Patreon episode of every celebrity that has just like ghosted their animal that they adopted.
17:52Yeah. I mean, we did do an episode about the Kardashians disappearing. I think it was about Kylie Jenner's disappearing brands. But then we also talked about the disappearing animals, too. Yes. I think that was like on a D.E.T. or something. I think it was the Patreon. Yeah. So. Oh, my God. It's so upsetting. I hate it. It really is. Sally and her chickens. I know I'm not allowed to care because I'm not a vegetarian, but like it upsets me. Those are when you get a pet that is like your child. Yeah. Remember Michael Jackson? And he I think he cared for bubbles, his monkey, like it was his own child.
18:24Oh, yeah. His chimpanzee. Yes. Yeah. So between his 19th and 20th birthdays, he became kind of the poster child of what happens to child star. TMZ posted pictures of him with weed in January 2013. Pictures of him also surrounded by scissor and blunts. I remember scissor back in the day. Also, like back in 2013, that was still a big deal. Like weed now isn't. But like it was back then. Yeah. We've talked about this in the past with Michael Phelps. with his bomb hit that like took the pick that took the nation took the world by storm everyone was so disappointed for him and him for god forbid taking a hit out of a bong miley cyrus and the salvia trip when she was like hallucinating we were exploiting young people left right and center and using it putting it on a silver platter to like just pick at it was sick yeah and he was so young at the time like if you had a fucking tmz photographer following me around even when I was a teenager up until like age 26, you would never see me again.
19:21Like it's humiliating the shit I used to do and the things I was a part of. In one of the photos, Justin was drinking out of a double cup and sources connected with Justin say that he adamantly denied consuming scissor, but it's pretty obvious that he's at least smoking pot in some of these pictures. In April of 2013, Justin Bieber visited the Anne Frank house in Amsterdam and wrote in the guest book, quote, truly inspiring to be able to come here. Anne was a great girl. Hopefully she would have been a bleeper. And that comment went viral. People were like, how dare? Like being a Jewish woman yourself, Sophie, do you take offense to this?
19:55I feel like at the time we were like, what the fuck, Justin? In hindsight, and again, I feel like I'm allowed to say this because I'm Jewish. It's like kind of funny, like a little bit. He's saying hopefully she would have been a bleeper. He's saying that he has so much respect for her that he hopes that she would have been one of his fans. Yeah. It obviously is like so fucking stupid and fucked up. He also was a young guy at the time. It like it's just such a silly, ridiculous comment. So the punishment didn't fit the crime. People were ready to just like execute him for this. And it just it was like for what?
20:29Like he's like a 16 year old kid. He said something that might have been a little bit tone deaf, but at the end of the day, I don't think it. Yeah, the punishment didn't match. Yeah, I can obviously understand why it was offensive at the time. But again, young guy, looking back in hindsight, I feel like no one is like, Justin was so evil for this. If anything, it's like, what a silly, dumb comment that's kind of, looking back on it, kind of funny. But yeah, I totally understand why people were offended at the time. Coming from a Jewish person, like, thank you. Because I don't want to, like, misspeak or speak for Jewish people that could be offended by this.
21:00But, like, from your lived experience, you're like, it's stupid and it's a little bit LOL. I've seen way more offensive antifant takes. In this day and age, there's plenty more for us to worry about, okay? Yep, exactly. In July 2013, TMZ released a video of Justin peeing in a restaurant mop bucket while his friends cheered him on. Then spraying cleaning liquid on a framed photo of Bill Clinton. What? But later that month, there was a picture of him spitting from a Toronto hotel balcony onto his fans below. I remember this like it was yesterday. November 2013, he was photographed leaving Centaurus, which was also known as a brothel in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, attempting to hide under a white bed sheet.
21:38He was charged with vandalism for spray painting graffiti on an abandoned hotel during that same Brazil trip. And he was later slapped with a$6 ,000 fine. But do you remember him leaving the brothel with like some women like behind this? also like he was just a worldwide menace he was all over the world causing chaos it was everywhere yes and it was just like oh he's in miami oh he's in rio de janeiro like no one no city was safe from justin bieber's graffiti getting arrested speeding your girl likes to have a good time is that illegal but sometimes that sucks about going out is how awful you feel the next day And thankfully, Cheers is here to change that.

It started to become like he was hurting other people or hurting other people's property. So January 9th, 2014, he egged his neighbor's house, causing over$20 ,000 in damages.
28:05Like egging someone's house is catastrophic for some people. Like that causes serious damage to a home and the repairs and like the money that goes into it is not immaterial. Oh my God. We were so bad in high school. I feel bad now. We used to do it all the time too. It's like so fucked up. One time we threw a pumpkin at someone's house and it didn't like break. It just landed on their front stoop. So it was just like gifting them a pumpkin. Yeah. That's not bad. Like toilet papering, throwing a pumpkin on someone's stoop, But like egging someone's house to cause severe damage where they need to repaint that entire section of the house.
28:39Like that's fucked up. We had no idea. We had no idea when we were younger. We put chocolate syrup in someone's mailbox once. Which also was mean. Like we were just. But like who did it in high school? I told you how when I was in high school, our friend's mom drove us to egg some girl's house. Oh my God. That's iconic. That's literally iconic. It's like so wrong. Wait, we. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Keep going. No, no, no, no. I was going to go on to his restitution. Oh, sorry. We egged someone. I was driving around with my friends in high school, and we decided to egg the houses of, like, the boys. I don't know.
29:15I was about to say men. We were, like, 16. The boys that had wronged us. And so we egged this guy's house. And then we were, like, in a cul-de-sac, and he called the cops, and the police station was right across the street. So we were, like, stuck in the cul-de-sac when the police came. Oh, shit. Were you guys arrested? No, it's actually funny. We were, like, drunk in the backseat. Thankfully, my friend that was driving was sober, and she, like, talked us out of it. Oh, so, like, did they think that you did it? No, they knew that we did it, but we were fine. We ended up talking ourselves out of it.
29:48Yeah. Okay, so speaking of just being a criminal, you know. Like us. Yes. This egging case resulted in a no-contest plea to misdemeanor vandalism, two years probation, anger management, community labor, and 81K in restitution. But when you're Justin Bieber at that age, you got that money. Five days later, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department executed a felony search warrant on his mansion with an 11 patrol car. That's actually crazy. I don't remember that. Never forget when Jake Paul's house was made by the FBI. I bring that up any chance I get. They found, like, machine guns? Yes. His little friend Lil Zaw was arrested for MDMA possession during that raid.
30:27And then just a couple weeks after that, January 23rd, 2014, Justin was arrested in Miami Beach at 4 a.m. He was pulled over for a rented yellow Lamborghini while drag racing against a red Ferrari at 55 to 60 miles per hour and a 30 miles per hour zone. He was completely belligerent, failed a field sobriety test and tested positive for THC and Alprazolom, which is also known as Xanax. He entered a guilty plea to careless driving, income management, 50K in charity donation. And during this time when he was arrested for this Lamborghini drag racing, a White House petition called for his deportation and it gathered over 273 ,000 signatures.
31:05People were like, we had no life back then. Like, let's sign a petition to get this little kid who's clearly troubled deported. Like, again, we have a lot bigger fish to fry as a country in 2026. Six days after Justin's Miami arrest, he surrendered to Toronto police on an assault charge for allegedly hitting a limousine driver. The charge was later dropped for insufficient evidence. Seven months later, in August 2014, he was found guilty of assault and dangerous driving after an ATV collision in Ontario. His ATV collided with a minivan and Justin engaged in a physical altercation with a photographer.
31:37And the incident occurred while he was with Selena Gomez. And I believe, if I'm not mistaken, this was that footage that went viral of him being, it was like the questioning. And they asked him about Selena and he was like, don't mention her name. Do you remember that? I like don't for some reason. Oh yeah. He was just being a little punk at this deposition and wouldn't allow them to speak Selena Gomez's name. So he was just all over the place. So many arrests. Let's talk about his mental health and his drug use at the time. I think top line, knowing what Justin went through as a kid, being in poverty, being a kid to teenagers, I don't think Justin ever really stood a chance at normalcy, even if the fame weren't there.
32:14His mother, although she tried her absolute hardest and did the best that she could was also still suffering with her own battles with depression her own mental health like she said she um had a suicide attempt when she was young couple that with postpartum like i think he just had a lot of things stacked against him and it makes me very upset for him and i think you put him into an environment when he's 13 years old his parents ship him off to atlanta to live with usher and diddy what did you expect like i think that we always i know i think now we don't forget what we've done to justin bieber at such young age.
32:45And I think now we look back on it and are very sad for him. But we gave him absolutely no room for growth and grace at the time. He like kind of didn't stand a chance. Yeah. And we're going to get into the Yummy music video towards the end of this document. But I feel like that was almost his whistleblower music video of like, I'm admitting to you that something really, really horrible happened to me. Oh, I didn't even realize that there was a connection there. It's really disturbing. And I think a lot of it is if you contextualize it in the realm of like Diddy, there are signs pointing to the fact that he might have been harassed by Diddy, but he's denied it.
33:20So in 2020, he released a YouTube documentary titled Seasons and he admitted he did in fact begin smoking weed at the age of 12 or 13 and then began to graduate to pills, lean, molly and mushrooms. And you have to remember, we talk about this a lot. When you're that young experimenting with drugs, your brain is not fully developed. That will significantly alter how your brain develops and how you become as an adult like it's really scary thinking there's this group of kids that i used to hang out with in high school that was experimenting with like mdma cocaine i was like 15 16 years old and like when i think about cocaine and like being a 20 something year old in san francisco that was so common but thinking about it in high school that was like so dark to me and they later like yeah suffered immensely with heroin and addiction and rehab like that's just like a gateway drug into far harder things so i don't even want to know what else he was experimenting with that he's not admitting to us especially oh my god that yeah that like didn't exist in high school for me i like didn't even realize that that was a thing it probably was but you weren't aware of it well well i feel like it is like for people that grew up in like new york city for instance i think it depends on where you grew up like true for you know maybe for like some groups at my high school but for the most part it was just like so not a thing and the fact that people like i know people that grew up in new york that were doing it in high school yeah it's just that is crazy to me Yeah.
34:39I mean, even being exposed to it, it's so crazy to me as a 30-something-year-old. I'm like, that's just such a dark place to be in at that young of an age. But you can't really blame Justin because he shot up to fame so quickly and was so universally beloved until he wasn't. So in the Seasons documentary, he goes on to reveal that he started drinking lean, which if you guys remember, that's like that cough syrup, also called purple drink or scissor. He was taking pills, doing mollies, trying shrooms. And he said, quote, it was just an escape for me. I was young. Growing up in front of the spotlight, people saw that and took advantage of the situation or latched onto it.
35:12My experience was in front of cameras and I had a different level of exposure. He goes on to say that people with secure households learn at a very young age not to do that stuff. He said that he never had that security or family or consistency or reliability and accountability and all these things that might normally make someone understand how the world works. He didn't get that. He was a good kid, but he acted out and didn't respect authority. He said, the truth is I never had the tools. My parents never gave me those tools to be a good team player. And I was thinking back on this when you were at such a young age with all this money and people tending to you for every need, laundry, driving.
35:44I think about Britney Spears. We talk about Britney Spears now and how she doesn't understand how to handle her own money. She's taking private jets to Mexico monthly. And she basically, her savings is getting completely depleted as we speak. But she doesn't even know how to handle a credit card because she's never had to. When she was at a very young age, she had handlers 24-7, people handling her finances, whether it be her team or her family. It's like, of course, she doesn't know how like the value of a buck because she like she never had to deal with it. And I think that's why Justin Beeprope, people always question his finances, too.
36:14They're like, he's the biggest star at one point. Why does he have no money? It's like, well, he never got the opportunity to even learn like what he was probably earning. He probably entrusted people and turned a blind eye. Yeah. Kind of reminds me of Tori Spelling from last week's episode. Yes. When you just are given a silver spoon from the very young age, you're like, this is just how I live. This is just normal. You don't know any different. Yeah. Right. He also abused Xanax to numb the shame from his bad boy behavior. His security team would often check his pulse at night to ensure he was still breathing.
36:44He never attended a formal rehab, but in 2014, he moved into the home of infamous pastor Carl Lentz in New Jersey for an informal detox period. And Haley Baldwin, they were off and on alongside his relationship with Selena Gomez, but she reportedly refused to be in his life during this time until he achieved sobriety because it was so dark. And in a follow-up documentary called Next Chapter that was also released that same year in 2020, Justin said that he experienced suicidal ideation. He said, quote, It's hard to get out of bed in the morning when it feels like there's trouble after trouble after trouble.
37:16Sometimes it even gets to the point where you don't even want to live anymore, where you feel like it's never going to change. I went from a 13-year-old boy from a small town to being praised left and right by the world, with millions saying how much they loved me and how great I was. You hear these things enough as a young boy and then you actually start believing it. Everyone did everything for me, so I never even learned the fundamentals of responsibility. I made every bad decision you could have thought of and went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged, and hated person in the world.
37:42And I was also talking about this with a friend of mine because we were talking about the West Amanda scandal and Kyle Cook. you know, doing that interview with Adam Glenn with the paparazzi. And he was saying, you know, I'm really worried about Amanda. And my friend was like, kind of giving some grace to Amanda. And she said to me yesterday, she's like, I've seen you when like, even with this small platform that we have, like when something has happened to you on the internet, like how devastating it is for you. She's like, I would 100 % be worried, Christy, if you were going through what Amanda's going through.
38:11Right. And I was like, no, I totally agree. I would be worried for myself. And that doesn't take away from like, I feel like a lot of people are like, Amanda's not the victim here. Sierra is, obviously. Obviously. But I think two things can be true at once, that people take it too far on the internet, and it's scary. And the same thing happened with Raquel and Sandoval. Exactly. Like, people forget that these are real people with real emotions dealing with, like, their reality in real time as well. Yeah. And I think then you think about the Amanda thing, right? And then you blow that up to the entire world, right?
38:40Having an opinion about you and your decisions and your behavior and your fame and how you're handling yourself and your relationships. Like I genuinely like it make I like it's hard to breathe even thinking about it. Just like even the things that you and I have dealt with on a tiny, tiny, tiny scale. I don't even want to know where that would take me if I were in that position. Yeah. So I don't again, it's very complicated with him. I think you can say he's a little punk. You know, he's ungrateful. He's this and that. But how would you feel if you were in that position at that young age when everyone was saying you were the best at what you did?
39:11You were the best. We love you from every which direction. and then all of a sudden the world turns on you. And you're like 19. I can handle it as a 30-something-year-old. So let's talk about his health scares. So in 2020, he was diagnosed with Lyme's disease. He was experiencing unexplained fatigue, skin issues, impaired brain function. He did NADIV therapy and brain imaging at Almond Clinics, which, by the way, I fucking hate this guy, this quack of a fucking doctor. I know he's like a medical licensed physician, but I've heard him on a podcast once listing his celebrity clients as if he's listing like ingredients on a recipe.
39:44He's like, yeah, I've helped Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus. It's like, first of all, isn't that like a HIPAA violation for you to just like sound off your clients? Even if they are publicly speaking about you being their doctor, why are you like bragging about it on a podcast? Yeah, it's bizarre. Any doctor that like is super well-known online, I just kind of side-eye a bit. Yeah, because why are you an influencer and a doctor? I think about the saying with Dr. Daniel Barrett, the natural plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills. I cannot fucking stand it. I'm going on so many times. There are like a lot.
40:14There's a lot of them. And it's kind of an epidemic. It is. And it makes me side-eye you. Like, focus on your practice. Yeah, focus on - Do you have continuing education to do? Like, what are you doing? Focus on helping patients. Yeah, versus going on social media and doing TikToks and dancing in the room. Oh, my God. Like that plastic - She wasn't a plastic surgeon. She was a surgeon surgeon. And she was literally doing TikTok dances in the room, in the operating room, while the patient was under. and then the patient had like permanent damage and ended up suing her and she got disbarred. I forgot the name of the doctor, but I just read this article the other day.
40:49Yeah, good. Good. Why? Also, it's like your patient is literally under anesthesia being operated on and they're like just a background person in your TikTok video. That is so insanely fucked up. Time is of the essence in those situations. What are you doing filming a TikTok? Get it. Oh my God. That is so disgusting. Imagine. Oh my God. That like makes my blood boil. Yeah. So I could do a whole episode on fucking Jay Shetty, Dr. Amon. We need to do a Jay Shetty finally. Everyone was like, oh my God, I'm so surprised. I didn't know that you guys had beef with Jay Shetty. The beef has been here. Like as early on as Chase Stokes, Jay Shetty was right alongside him.
41:24He just doesn't get the heat because he's not as much of an idiot 24-7 on the internet. Okay? So he also suffered with Ramsey Hunt syndrome in 2022. He posted an IG video where half of his face, remember, was completely paralyzed. And he said, listen, I'm suffering from a rare neurological disorder affecting nearly five in 100 ,000 people annually caused by a reactivation of the varicella zoster virus attacking the facial nerve near the inner ear. And he said, quote, I wanted to update you guys on what's been going on. Obviously, as you can probably see from my face, I have this syndrome called Ramsey-Hunt syndrome.
41:57It's from this virus that attacks the nerve of my ear and my facial nerves and has caused my face to have paralysis. As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can smile on this side of my face. The nostril will not move. So there's full paralysis on this side of my face. And you have to remember, he was about to go on the Justice World Tour. He had released an album in 2021, and he was about to go on the World Tour in February of 2022. But he canceled all of his North American dates because of the diagnosis. And he returned for European shows and performed at Rock and Rio in September of 2022.
42:26But he realized, this is too much. I can't go on. So he just fully paused the entire tour. And you have to remember, actually, back in 2016, I think it was, when he was on his Purpose World Tour, he canceled that as well due to mental health issues so i feel like touring is very very difficult for anyone who doesn't suffer with mental health i mean taylor swift is again another one of one where she was able to do the airs tour for like i don't know a year and a half insane like for a very fucking long time and i think that's not normal um i think she has a work ethic that no one can really understand or relate to but it's really difficult to tour um you're never at home.
43:03You're constantly from hotel to hotel. You're not in any kind of routine. It's very difficult physically, mentally. You're out really late at night. So I don't blame him. I think that Justin recently, he performed like a surprise concert at the Roxy Theater in Los Angeles just two weeks ago by the time this airs. And I think he does really well in small, intimate environments rather than big stadium or arena tours where his mental health could significantly suffer. Yeah, just physically, like you said, physically, mentally exhausting. Yeah, when we decided to do our tour, we're like, we got a cabin in three cities.
43:36Like, I couldn't even imagine it. It like literally doesn't even compare. But yeah, we were like, yeah, that's like a lot. It's a lot. It's a lot. The dark energy tour and the purpose world tour, one and the same, really. They're the same thing. So let's talk about his Selena saga. What were your, what did you make of that Jelena. Oh my god. I thought they were soulmates, obviously. Didn't we all? Yeah, we did. And I remember just feeling like I was on a roller coaster every time they would be messy on Instagram. And you have to remember, 2018 to like 28, sorry, 2010 to 2018, people were still really messy on the internet.
44:12They would comment shit. They would tweet shit. Now I feel like we're way more clean with how we present ourselves. No, celebrities too. Yeah. Celebrities were like tweeting shit at each other. They were posting messy shit on Instagram. And now celebrities are so buttoned up on social media for good reason because everything they say is picked apart. But like, I kind of miss that era. You can't go even 10 minutes without someone finding out that you've unfollowed someone else or comments by celebs picking it up. Like, you can't make any move without it being watched. But back then, it wasn't as watched as closely.
44:45So their relationship spanned between 2010 to 2018 in an exhausting on-again, off-again cycle. But they first made their first red carpet debut at the 2011 Vanity Fair Oscars party. And they later separated and then we got together at least seven times that we know about. Seven fucking times. So one of many Instagram posts that Justin has posted about in October 2012 about their relationship, he posted a photo with a caption, L-I-N-G-S-E, which fans believe is an anagram of the word single. In November 2012, Justin and Selena reportedly broke up due to their schedules. And at that time when they were on their hiatus, Justin was briefly linked to Victoria's Secret Ma Dolls, plural, Barbara Palvin, who's now married to Dylan Sprouse.
45:27Dylan. God, I always fucking put that up. Dylan Sprouse and then later Miranda Kerr. December 2012, days after Justin and Selena are caught kissing at the airport in Salt Lake, they reportedly call it quits while vacationing in Mexico for New Year's Eve. Selena tweets this in January 1st, 2013. New beginnings, fresh start. I love you all. obviously like pointing to the fact that her and justin were done but then she posted a photo of herself on twitter wearing a stratford coltian's hat and this hat is from justin's hometown hockey teen and the caption wrote i can make the stars dance which is a nod to her um album slash song on one of her uh yeah one of her albums um in april 2013 selena flies to norway to see justin who instagrams a black and white photo of them along with a caption you've been making music for too long babe come cuddle dash her then he deletes that photo they love to post photos of one another to like get each other's attention and then delete it when fans like go crazy over it but it's really like a subtweet to to one another yeah um in january of 2014 justin kicks off a year with a sweet photo of selena hugging him along with the caption i love the way you look at me this all comes to unravel very publicly in april 2014 the coachella that i saw kendall jenner at when selena and justin were reportedly having a fight at coachella so if you guys remember this is when Kris Jenner was supposedly having her daughters, her Jenner daughters, co-mingle with Selena.
46:45They were like hanging out together prior to Coachella happening. There were rumors that Kris was trying to sign Selena. We've talked about this like for what? Kris Jenner is not a music manager or acting manager, whatever it is. But there were some rumblings of them like making alliances, Selena making alliances with the Jenner girls. They're at Coachella together and Selena reportedly finds naughty photos or naughty text messages between Justin and Kylie. And it later leads to this like blow up fight where she leaves the group like mid Coachella. If I could ask anything, I want to know what happened with Kylie and Kendall versus Selena at that Coachella because like they were totally not good after that.
47:23And Khloe, I think, even gone in the mix. Like, do you remember this? Yeah, they were like never seen together again, to my knowledge. There was like pictures of them professionally like Getty images, but they don't fuck with each other after this. Justin after that was messy with like Adriana Lima, a woman named Yovana Ventura, which I believe is one of his ex-girlfriends from like one of his music videos. He just is like going back and forth, posting and deleting black and white photos of him. Like our love is unconditional. In July of 2014, Orlando punches Justin in Ibiza and it's all caught on video.
47:55Because at that time, if you remember, Orlando had separated from Miranda Kerr, who he was once married to. They share a child together and they run into each other at a club in Spain. And we can imagine they're both fucked up. And Justin can be heard saying, what's up, bitch, to Orlando after the encounter. And that's when Orlando was like, fuck you. And he swung at Justin at Cipriani restaurants with reports indicating that it was a swing and miss. But there are a lot of other celebrities present like Leonardo DiCaprio cheering when Orlando Bloom tried to strike Justin Bieber. Right after that, Justin posts and deletes a sexy photo of Miranda Kerr on Instagram.
48:29And I think what had happened at this time is that Orlando and Miranda had just separated. Justin's always with another Victoria's Secret model like every other weekend. He probably had hooked up with Miranda Kerr and was rubbing it in Orlando's face because he's a little punk like that. And Orlando didn't appreciate that. Like, that's the mother of my children. That's my ex-wife. Like, stay the fuck away. Also, I didn't remember this, but in October of 2014, Justin and Salida were spotted fighting at the airport in France. She later tweets about being lonely that same trip. And it's alleged that, of course, Kendall Jenner always being a problem in this relationship.
49:03Selena and him were fighting because Justin told Selena, hey, I'm going to get dinner with my security at this restaurant tonight. She's like, all right, whatever. He straight up just lied to her and went to dinner with Kendall Jenner. Like looking back, that is so fucked up. Like knowing this girl is a problem. Him and Kendall definitely hooked up. Have you seen that video of that Calvin Klein ad that they did? And he's like, are you turned on right now? She's like, yeah, are you? Like, yeah, are you? Why? He's like, because of you. And she's like, ditto. Have you seen that video? When was that from?
49:33Oh, it's like a viral video. It's like, he looks so hot and he's like in front of the camera and she's behind the camera. They're just like flirting. They definitely hooked up. And I always thought that was very weird because Haley. The concept. Yeah. And the concept of being like, you know, you've hooked up with the same person as your sister. because I know that Kourtney and Justin hooked up. And Kylie. Kylie hooked up with him too. I think that's what caused the Coachella debacle. Yeah, I mean, that's not been confirmed, but I think we all know Kourtney and Justin definitely hooked up. Kendall and Justin have definitely hooked up.
50:02Kylie is like a big question mark, but I think she definitely has had her way with him as well. What do you think of Justin potentially being the father of Rain Desec? That's like a conspiracy theory. A long-standing conspiracy theory because Rain looks so much like Justin. And from Rain's birthday, it would align with the timeline of when him and Courtney were publicly seen frolicking out and about together. So yeah, it's not impossible. I would be curious if Scott has ever done a paternity test with Rain. I think Rain has even addressed the rumors head on. Rain has? Yeah, I think he's like made a comment or like said something like, why do you guys keep saying that Justin's my dad?
50:36He's not my dad. Wait, Rain just like is potential. He's perpetually a toddler in my mind. You know, like, why has he never grown up in my head? No, I know. 100 % know what you're talking about. He has that look. He'll never grow up from that look. He's literally three. What do you mean he's speaking on the rumors? Wait, let me look up his face. He's 11. He turns 12 this year. Come again? Yeah. Isn't that crazy? He is literally four years old. No, he's four. No, 100%. He's forever four years old. He's about to enter middle school. That makes no sense to me. Crazy. Selena, November 2014, releases The Heart Wants what it wants and she says that it was really hard for her with a breakup but she will always support Justin I think I always will I'm upset when he's upset I'm happy when he's happy I don't want anything bad to ever happen to him it hurts me that's all they were always so like cryptic and just like stop kind of speaking it's kind of lame yeah it's exhausting it's exhausting they're both just like so emotional and like I'm super emotional they're so fucking emotional and it exhausts me because they make it everyone's fucking problem and they're always just like this relationship like no one will understand but you try to make make it so that everyone understands what you both were going through every step of the way when you guys would break up like how do you don't gaslight us into thinking that like it's our problem that we care so much so deeply about your relationship you made it this way yeah no it's literally the two water signs yes it's too much crazy in december 2014 justin responds to rumors that he's dating hailey baldwin but he's like no guys i'm super single and this is my good friend you would know otherwise a month later in Jan 2015, Selena and Zed are romantically linked because they had done this like duet song together.
52:13But later, Justin is also seen with Selena eating dinner at Mastro's. So like, who knows? But like Selena and Justin, even though they would always be dating people on the side, they would always come back to each other. Side note, do you remember this elevator? I don't know why this specific image of Zed and Selena seeded into my brain. It's so specific. But like, I remember just being like, oh my God, Selena's really moved on. She's dating Zed now. And he's like wrapped his arms around her on this elevator and she's with her friend and Zed's friend, whatever. May 2015, they're both attending the Met Gala, but separately.
52:42And he calls her gorgeous while bombarded by TMZ the following day. In September 2015, when Selena is doing some press for her new album, Revival, she tells Elle, I'll forever support him and love him in a way that we grew up together. I think people want it to be different. We're too young for that. Nobody was married. There was no, I respect him and I think he respects me in a healthy manner. I don't know. When asked about if she would ever get back together, she said no, even though she still was actively dating Zed at the time. She's like, I'm not going to turn the page on or close the book on Justin.
53:11Justin even said in a complex interview, he said, I moved in with my girlfriend when I was 18. I started my own life with her. It was a marriage kind of living. Living with a girl, it was just too much at that age. But we were so in love. Nothing else mattered. We were all about each other. But when it's like that and you get your value from that, people will always disappoint you. Which, by the way, what is it with young people moving in together at such a young age? They were 18 years old. It reminds me of Justin and Brittany. Yeah, I was just going to say, there is no world in which an 18-year-old should be living with a partner.
53:39Yeah, and I think I was wondering, I'm like, why was it like that was Justin and Brittany as well? And I was like, why would their parents allow that? But then I remember, oh. Their parents were, you know, exploiting them left and right. They weren't good parents. Yes, and I think, honestly, Justin Timberlake's mom might be the one exception. Like, I think she actually has always had Justin's best interest at heart from what I know. I think Selena, Justin, and Brittany's parents were so poor that they were like, our kid is our cash cow. Because you're bringing in the bacon, you can do whatever you want.
54:09And if that means living with your partner at the age of 18, then that's fine. But it's kind of troubling knowing that there are these very young kids also being raised by kids, allowing them to do whatever the fuck they want. Because again, who's to tell them no if they're the ones that are earning all the money? Right. There was also a time when they were on and off in November 2015 when Justin is spotted serenading Selena with my girl by the temptations at a hotel bar in Beverly Hills. And everyone was like, wait, are they or are they not together? Because Selena's with Zed. But no, he's like, this one, like, made everyone was freaking out about this because they're like, oh, my God, they're back together.
54:44It's so romantic. He's serenading her at a hotel bar. Which I have to, like, I can't lie. That's, like, so romantic. in May 2016 Selena and Orlando appeared to get very handsy in a photo obtained by TMZ they were both in Vegas and do you remember these pictures Sophie of them in Vegas like yeah they were at a table and Selena's like all over him and by the way him and Katy Perry are very much together at this time yeah we talked about this actually in the Katy Perry episode we did a Katy Perry episode this was a whole thing and I think this might be both of their ways to get back to yeah at their exes from Miranda Kerr and Justin Bieber they're just being messy at around this time Justin's also photographed with rumored new girlfriend Sophia Richie and he lashes out at fans for attacking Sophia on Instagram and warns that he'll make his account private if this continues and this is when Selena of course gets messy on Instagram and she writes quote if you can't handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol it should be special between you two only don't be mad at your fans they love you and supported you before anyone ever did like again she just like loves to get in the comments and like be about this yes very unnecessary comment yeah in january of 2017 that's when the selena and the weekend debut their relationship when they were spotted kissing outside georgio baldi in santa monica oh and in the wake of this dating news justin's approached by tmz and he asks like oh have you listened to a weekend song and he goes i can't that shit's whack and i guess he had gone on a little bit of a hiatus at this point um but he reactivates his Instagram after being on this like couple month hiatus.
56:15And he's debuting the T-Mobile commercial for the Super Bowl. And despite being up for the Grammys, Justin skips the Grammys awards and goes to Instagram Live with his friend Alfredo Flores to talk, to take questions from fans. And when asked what his favorite song is, Justin goes star boy by The Weeknd and then bursts into laughter. So he's clearly upset that Selena is dating The Weeknd. And I think Bella was also just broken up like weren't Bella and the weekend dating before Selena and the weekend were dating yes correct um then so they weren't dating that long the weekend and Selena were only dating less than a year but it wasn't too long until she fell right back into Justin's arm so just before Halloween 2017 Justin and Selena were spotted at a church and breakfast together in LA and reports also show that Justin showed up at Selena's house later that evening so it's just like back and fucking forth and I remember when this article came out and everyone was like well how does the weekend how does abel feel about this with selena getting lunch with her ex and everyone was like oh the weekend's fine with it but to no surprise they publicly said they broke it up on a relation on a tmz report where it says selena and the weekend have split after 10 months of dating tmz reports that the weekend was the one who called selena to end things after things started going sour in the summer they said that oh it's our you know it's our work schedules but no we all know that it was the selena and justin saga that never fucking ends um they were spotted a A month later, on a bicycle adventure in L.A., Selena spotted cheering Justin on during a hockey scrimmage.
57:42And in Thanksgiving of 2017, both E! News and TMZ report that Justin and Selena spent Thanksgiving apart with Selena flying to Texas to be with her family and Justin being at a hockey practice in Canada. They were together, like, right, literally right before him and Hailey. No, I forgot about this timeline. So basically, yes, let's, like, sum up this timeline. So October 2017, Jess and Selena are spotted while she's with The Weeknd. Then The Weeknd and Selena break up. Now they're spending, like, not Thanksgiving, but up to the holidays in November 2017. They're hanging out. They're seen together out and about at hot yoga, at Justin's hockey scrimmage.
58:20Their families are chiming in. Then in February of 2018, Selena completes a two-week program in New York City to treat anxiety and depression. And she, right after her treatment, she joins, I remember this, she joins Justin in Jamaica for his dad Jeremy's wedding to his longtime girlfriend Chelsea. And I remember that long flowy pink dress that she was wearing. There's a lot of pap photos taken of them at this wedding. In March 2018, Justin, it's Justin's birthday. Selena wishes him a happy birthday on Instagram. But it was reportedly around this time, they were just together like four months from like October-ish to March.
58:51So a little longer than four months actually. There were reports that they were having issues, a lot of disagreements. And one flight blew up, which paved the way for a split. Us Weekly reports that Selena's mom, Mandy, was very upset about this reconciliation. Justin's family, they love Selena. But Selena's family and all of her friends were very against Selena getting back together with Justin. And they were put in a very conflicting spot because they didn't trust Justin. But Selena was, like, trying to convince her family, no, no, no, it's different this time. And I think at this point, Mandy, her mother, like, fully distanced herself from Selena and was like, I cannot be around you so long as you're with this man.
59:21Yeah. What about when Justin and Selena were spotted in Skid Row, like buying drugs? Yes. So that's what people say. Why are Selena's family and friends so against them being together? Like, what about it? Like, we saw the Texas Sea, the back and forth, breaking up and getting back together. But I think it goes much deeper than that. So you guys have probably all seen this video by now where Justin and Selena are caught by like an L.A. just like person walking around the streets. And he's like, yo, is that Bieber? Bieber, what are you doing out here on the streets of LA? And he like turns the camera.
59:53Justin's like, please, man, don't take a picture. Please stop taking photos. And he's like, why are you in the middle of like skid row? Like, what are you doing? And there's a TMZ or some video of them like running like so that they're like not spotted by Pabst in this alley in like a very, very seedy part of Los Angeles. And we've talked about like how Demi Lovato used to like get drugs. And some people say, well, do they have handlers to get these drugs for them? I think there is a point where their hand where their handlers are like no more. And then the celebrity has to basically stoop down to like retrieve the drugs themselves.
1:00:22And they're caught in this really bad position like Demi Lovato or Zac Efron when he was caught. His car broke down in the middle of Skid Row and he got beat up. And everyone was like oh your car ran out of gas. Give me a break. Like no you were there to get drugs Zach. Like I think you got to put two and two together. No one's in that area of LA unless you're looking to score something. But but moral of the story is it seems like they were doing drugs together. And that's why they were at in that video. You can see Selena like walking away in the background. She's trying to not be filmed. It seems like this was a relationship where they were doing drugs.
1:00:52And, you know, I think that added to the toxicity. Yeah. And interestingly enough, I know someone who is a security guard for a really big pop star today. And I like cornered him at a wedding. And I was like, tell me all because he used to bodyguard for Justin Bieber. And like he showed me evidence like I know this to be fact. And I was like, tell me everything you know about Justin and Selena. He's like, he's basically validated all those claims I said at the beginning where like he will be doing like Coke, Molly, smoking weed. And they were like, you need to stop. Like his security would actively be like, you can't do this anymore.
1:01:24Like this is really scary. They'd have to like drag him out of the club so that he wouldn't be photographed. He said that Selena actually much preferred like prescription pills. Like she was really into opiates, allegedly. It wasn't really like cocaine. I think people always say like Selena and Justin like loved cocaine or whatever. But for Selena, it was very much prescription drugs. And for Justin, it was like everything under the sun. He said that one time they were fighting at one of their houses and Selena, like it was at Justin's house. And Selena got into her car and drove off and Justin like sped off after her.
1:01:53He was like, it was the most toxic thing I had ever seen. And they were like 20. But yeah, I think a lot of their darkest years were together using. And people have said that too about like Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson. I think there's definitely something to be said about people that are so bonded over the fact that they had this shared bond. Like addiction. Like Taylor, Frankie, Paul, and Dakota. Yeah. I think they're addicted to each other and I think they might be addicted to something else that we're not fully aware of. Yeah. But just due to the toxic nature, I think that you have to ask yourself, are there other substances involved?

So now let's talk about the Haley era. because we've just talked about him and Selena being on again, off again, from October 2017 to January 2018.
1:05:44We all know up until 2018, Justin and Haley have always been off and on, but it was always like her plus everyone else, Sophia Richie and all these other models. But I didn't realize that June 2018, so literally five months after he was last spotted with Selena, Justin and Haley were spotted in Miami being flirty at a church conference. And a source said, Justin and Haley love to party, and they love their church organization. And they have finally cleared the air and rekindled their friendship and realized that they genuinely have a lot of fun together. On July 7, 2018, in the Bahamas, Justin confirms that he did, in fact, propose to Haley Baldwin.
1:06:19He said, He said,
1:06:31Literally six months. months after him and selena finally for the last time reconciled their relationship he proposes to his on again off again girlfriend i remember being so shook by this like i can't believe it was only six months like i think we forget i think we understand like the timeline like it was short but from him being spotted with selena at hot yoga january 2018 and then proposing to hailey baldwin july 7th 2018 yeah i have chills like what i guess from what you know about Justin and Hailey's relationship. What do you think happened? Because to me, I feel like, this is my POV and I'm curious what you think.
1:07:06I feel like Hailey was always wanting to be the girl that Justin chose. And she knew that she was always kind of second fiddle to him. And when he was finally done with Selena, he's like, I made up my mind, I'm actually done with Selena this time. Like you were the girl for me. And I think he was so upset. And he was so upset about like the dissolution of him and Selena that he was trying to like put a bandaid on a bullet wound and was like, listen, I know that I can make this feeling go away so long as I propose this like next best thing. I hate saying that because they've been married and have a kid now and it seems like they're kind of happy.
1:07:34But I feel like at that time he was going through it and he was treating Haley like a band-aid. You know, without fully processing the ending of him and Selena. I literally remember thinking that he got engaged to make Selena jealous. I was like, this isn't going to last. He just wants Selena. He's trying to make her jealous. He's trying to fuck with her. And obviously that, you know, they're both married to separate people for a long time now. He's been married to Haley ever since. she is now married to benny blanco they both seem happy might be a stretch but that was like a real like okay they're done forever i never ever would have thought they wouldn't get back together like i thought they were meant to be i remember being in new york city in july of 2018 i remember i was at jack's wife frida and i remember getting the notification that justin proposed to hayley and And like, I remember my whole world stopping being like, wait, I remember being like, wait, they were just just spotted together.
1:08:30But they're that serious where he's proposing. Have you watched Broad City? I forget. Oh, my God. Chrissy, don't piss me off. Don't piss me off. Don't piss me off. You need to watch Broad City. There's one scene in Broad City. You guys will know what I'm talking about if you've seen the show where Abby, a bomb goes off in the background. Like, she's just like, like, that's what I'm picturing for you. Like, your whole world stopped. Also, it did. Also, like, Hailey Baldwin, at the time she was Baldwin, was not the it girl that she is today. No. At all. Like, she was kind of like, she was a side character.
1:09:06She was friends with Kendall and Kylie. She had, like, bad bleach blonde hair. She wasn't, like, the style icon in it girl that she is today. No. Then you have Selena Gomez, who is, like, the biggest, you know, one of the biggest pop stars in the world. Everyone was like, Hailey Baldwin? Like, what? It's so random. Like, obviously, they had history together, but it still felt like there's no way he'll actually settle down with her. And obviously, her ascension to ultimate it girl A++++ list has happened since they got married. But she was, like, not on that level. I remember, like, hating her hair at the time.
1:09:42And now she is, like, the perfect chocolate brown color that everyone tries to imitate. Yes. It was bad at the time. Her hair was horrible. Well, like, the dark roots. and she would have like the shorter hair and it was like kind of to the side. She was always like the street style was a little bit more like 2016. Yes, it looked so unhealthy. It was so at that time. Yeah. Her hair was so unhealthy. She always had great style, but like her hair was a problem back then. It really was. And I just remember that infamous photo of them like in a party bus where they're hanging onto the rails and they're making out.
1:10:13Yes, she's wearing like the cutoff jean shorts. Yes, and like her butt is sticking out and he's wearing like the backwards or the hat. That like broke the internet. It did. And I also remember that one video of them taking a photo and someone else was taking a video simultaneously and he licked his finger and put it into her ear. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, that's what I knew about Hailey Baldwin at the time. And yeah, she was just a Jenner sidekick. She wasn't Hailey Bieber today. Yeah. So it was kind of like, who is this random chick coming out of the woodwork? You know, that's kind of what I felt.
1:10:42I was like, she was just another Sofia Richie, Miranda Kerr, Barbara Palvin kind of girl. But not even. Like, I remember she was hanging out with the Hadids and the Jenners. And then you have Kendall and you have Gigi, who were at the time already like supermodels. I mean, supermodel is a stretch by, you know, depends on your definition of supermodel. But they were huge, huge, huge models. And then there was Haley. And she was like the shorter friend. You could tell that she was trying to make it in the modeling world. And it's like, you're like 5 '6". I don't know about that. But yeah, she was just kind of like in the background, a sidekick.
1:11:13And now she is, like I said, the it girl. And do you remember the rhetoric that was happening of just the absolute, I mean, she still gets hate to this day, but it's far less. Oh my God. Yes. People hated her. Hated her for doing this to Selena far more than they hated Justin Bieber for doing this to Selena. Like, which like, again, it's always living a patriarchy. Of course, the woman's always going to get the shade. But I think to me, it is so mind boggling that he proposed just six months after like finally reconciling with what we perceive to be the love of his life, who he did on again, off again for like eight years with.
1:11:46And all of a sudden he's going to do this quick like shotgun proposal, shotgun wedding. I mean, it's worth pointing out that he proposed to her on July 7th, 2018. He didn't actually like they actually kind of had a long, not long engagement, but like a longer engagement for someone who has all the money who can put together a wedding pretty quickly. He actually sought treatment for depression just six months after he proposed to her. So again, I think it kind of points to the fact that he was probably deeply unwell mentally. He was coming off the heels of like a very diabolical relationship, thinking he was probably going to end up with Selena.
1:12:14There were even allegations that him and Selena, he had proposed to Selena and she had said no. Whether or not that's true, I don't know. Yeah. He was clearly not well and like a great state of mind upon proposing, which is clear. He seeks depression treatment. And then just a month after he receives treatment, they officially wed. in South Carolina. Oh, sorry, in September. Sorry, no, no, no. February, he ceased treatment for depression. March 2019, their official wedding ceremony is put on hold because of like his mental health. And they finally get married in September of 2019. And in November 2020, people have all these questions like, okay, you're newlywed to Justin Bieber.
1:12:51You're a year into your marriage. What happened? Can you please clarify the timeline of the relationship? And she shuts down rumors that their relationship overlapped with his reconciliation with Selena. So she tells Ashley Graham on the Pretty Big Deal podcast that people don't know that she and Justin had been talking for a while before we got back together. Contrary to popular belief, he had been single for a while and I had been single and we were kind of trying to figure life out. Okay, the way I read that is he was literally keeping you on the side. Like, what do you mean you guys have been talking for a long time?
1:13:19He was clearly, all the receipts show it. He had been out and about with Selena and trying to make things work with Selena. So to me, you were on the side. Like, yes, I have no doubt that you guys were contrary to popular belief. You guys would have been talking for a while. Yeah, he was talking to you simultaneously as he was talking to Selena. Like, what do you mean? He was playing both of them. Yeah. She says that there was a time in our lives when I thought we were going to be going in different directions. I actually think now that I look back at being married, that that was a good thing for us, for the two of us.
1:13:44It was very healthy. I remember when we were hanging out and I was like, listen, I'm really, really happy for us to be friends again. I want us to be cool and be friends. And he was like, here's the thing. We're not ever going to be friends. And I was like, oh, is that so? And we were a little unsure about what was going on in the very beginning. It was very familiar territory. But when time goes by, it's like getting to know a new person. But Justin Bieber in 2021 even acknowledged that his first year of marriage was incredibly difficult because he said it was really tough because there was a lot going back to the trauma.
1:14:11There was just a lack of trust. There was all these things that you don't want to admit to the person that you're with because it's scary. You don't want to scare them off by saying, I'm scared. I bet you what he's referring to is Haley was so traumatized by his on-again, off-again relationship with Selena that there was a lack of trust fundamentally in the first year of their relationship. How could you ever get over that? Yeah, I will hand it to them. They never pretend that marriage is easy or fun. They're always talking about how hard marriage is. Constantly. In all of their interviews since the second they've gotten married, they've been like, it's actually really fucking hard.
1:14:41It's the hardest thing I've ever done. And it's like, well, it shouldn't be that hard, but at least they're being honest. Right. And speaking of that, he said, I remember when I first got married, I hit a little bit of an emotional breakdown because I thought marriage was going to fix all my problems and it didn't. It was just kind of a reflection of, man, you're a bit of a hypocrite, man. You want your wife to do something that you're not doing. And it's hard sometimes to look in the mirror and really have to realize, man, maybe you're not the person that you necessarily thought that you were.
1:15:04And that's just a result of trauma and life circumstances. So like he admits, he's like, he wanted Haley to fix it all for him. And I think she does seem like kind of like a calming grounding presence, I think for Selena, they seem to be very chaotic together and very just up and down. I don't think it was healthy for either of them. For me, I feel like Haley is a much more acting like I fucking know them. She just seems to be a much more suitable match for him. She just seems grounded. They both have like a very intense faith based, like relationship based on faith and their Christianity. And she doesn't seem to be wild and crazy.
1:15:35You never see her going out and like getting fucked up. Like she's never been that girl. I feel like she very much is the kind of the girl that's a good influence, dare I say. I don't know. Would you agree? I would agree. I mean, we don't, I feel like I don't, I don't know. Like, we don't know them, obviously. But it does say a lot that apparently she was a big proponent of his sobriety. Like, she was like, you need to be sober for us to be together. And we need to go to church together and stay, you know, on, it seems like she, they align in that they're both very Christian. And she seems to be a good influence in that she has encouraged the sobriety.
1:16:12I guess to that extent, I would say yes. But like, I don't know. I will say that she, I just looked up, she's a Sagittarius, which is a fire sign. So I feel like that also balances out his Pisces. Yeah, exactly. I think that they, I think for Justin, he needs someone not toxic. He's gone through toxicity his entire fucking life from like the second he came out of the womb. he needs someone that can bring him back down and i think hayley is a great pick for that but last year i think the rumors have settled down but around this time last year there was a lot of breakup speculation about them do you remember the coachella footage of him when he was like looked so fucked up like he looked like he was on lean or some kind of opiate yeah he did not look well and he was seen like i think i forget if he's always crying he's always very upset but he just did not look well at Coachella last year.
1:17:05Yeah, yeah. And there was this viral video that kind of made its ways on TikTok of people were like laughing about it. But it's like, it was funny, but it's not funny. Like they were in a golf cart going through Coachella. Haley is, she's like a mom. She's driving all of his friends in the golf cart at like the top left. And Justin is in the back, like facing the other direction, like as far away as can be. And everyone's like, he'll be next to anyone but his fucking wife. Yes, their body language is always so like not normal. There are so many videos of them where he's running out of the car, basically like slams the door on her.
1:17:39Literally. There are like so many embarrassing videos. There's one where she like trips and he doesn't even help her up. Like, yes, he's always walking ahead of her. He's never opening the door for her. He's never walking next to her. It's not great. Do you think with them having a baby, well, babies don't even fix everything because that's Like some people think, oh, yeah, baby will help the marriage. No, it'll hurt the marriage. And I wonder now if Haley is just focusing on just being the best mom that she can be to Jack. I don't know how involved Justin is in fatherhood. Like I feel like he doesn't share that part.
1:18:12He wants to keep it as private as possible, which I understand. But I'm curious like how involved both of them are as like co-parents. We'll never know because they don't share it. Yeah. I'm genuinely so curious because having a child completely changes the dynamic of a relationship. and like it either brings you closer or further away from one another. And I'm curious what that's done for them. I really like this tweet by, this was actually yesterday, I retweeted this. Hostile Worm on Twitter. It's funny, their profile picture is Lindsay Hubbard in a bucket hat. Yep. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Her Amish look.
1:18:43They tweeted, Haley Bieber is not a human woman. She is a cosmic lesson sent here by the angels to deliver a divine message to humanity. Sometimes the worst thing that can happen to you is getting exactly what you desire. So a longstanding like conspiracy theory, if we can even call it that, is that Haley has been pursuing Justin for years and years and years. They met when she was like a fan of his as like a tween. And her dad was Stephen Baldwin and like introduced them and there's video of them meeting on the red carpet. And she's like this little tween. She's a fan. So everyone's like, oh, my God, she like literally was stalking him for years.
1:19:18She's obsessed with getting married to him. She got her wish. And now it's like this is her marriage. And from the outside, it doesn't look like it's, you know, the best situation. But like, again, what do we know? And I think Haley is smart. I think she's far more cunning than I ever gave her credit for. The way that she has been able to build her brand and her empire that is road. Yeah. On the back of really kind of being this like. I have a road. I have a road lippy right here. Yeah. Like kind of building your brand off of the heels of people saying that you're like a fucking idiot, like a stupid girl who is always second pick.
1:19:52But you're like, okay, I'm going to keep quiet for years, build this brand behind the scenes, and then sell it for a billion dollars to Elf. Like, we don't even think of Hailey Bieber as this dumb girl anymore. We actually think of her as, like, a very savvy, smart, it girl businesswoman. And she really weathered it. And I have to hand it to her. After years of just getting absolute vitriolic hate by everyone, she was in the background. Like, what's done in the darkness will always come to light. And that's, like, the definition of Hailey Bieber. Like, I'm really proud of her for what she's been able to create.
1:20:21And arguably, I would say she's even more famous than Justin Bieber right now, which I never thought we would say in 2018 when they got together. I mean, you could definitely say that. And in terms of like business-wise, financially, she could potentially be keeping him afloat right now. A hundred percent. A hundred percent agree with that. He recently sold his master's. We talked about that on the Scooter Braun episode. But people say who are familiar with the music industry, they're like, you don't do that unless you're like you need liquidity like immediately. like and it seems like he was kind of in that position because he has so many expenses like probably large i don't know if he has large mortgage payments but like security shares everything like it adds up every month so if he needs cash then what better way to do it than sell your masters um another thing that he does in terms of humiliating her around the time that last year in may 25 when people were like he fucking hates her he didn't you know promote himself any better when he admitted that he once told hayley you'll never be on the cover of vogue and then she ended up being on the cover of Vogue last year.
1:21:20And he even admitted, he's like, yeah, when Haley and I got into a huge fight, I told Hales that she would never be on the cover of Vogue. Yikes, I know, so mean. That's such like an emotionally abusive thing to say. It's like, what prompted that kind of response by Justin? Do you know what I mean? What could she have possibly done for him to say, well, fuck you, bitch, you'll never be on the cover of Vogue? Like, that's insane behavior. You're right, it's emotionally abusive. It absolutely is. And he says, you know, forgive me for saying that because I was sadly mistaken. But then I feel like the rumors kind of flipped when he released Swag in July 2025.
1:21:54I can't believe it's been that long. It feels like it was yesterday. Yeah. With a lot of songs about Haley, how much he loves her, how she's like his dream woman, how she's the best mother. And Haley, I think, takes it day by day. She's very patient with Justin. I think she almost, there's this footage of them at Coachella, I think last year, where he's like, I think he's like coming up on Molly. Like, and I think the come up from what I've heard is like very, very scary. and he's like shaking like in the fetal position and she just is like rubbing his back and i remember oh yeah yeah my friend texted me she's like this is fucking humiliating she's mothering him and like she really she really is like his mom you know what though a back scratch by hayley bieber with her like her long clean girl nails would be very healing she seems so nurturing like i will say that about her she seems very sweet like every video i see of her she just seems like a very, very, very sweet girl.
1:22:43I know that she has a lot of problematic... I think that, like, if we did a Hailey Bieber episode, there's a lot. She has some problematic racist tweets and behavior in the past. Bullying in high school. Bullying. Yeah. A lot of questionable behavior. But in terms of, like, today, she seems pretty grounded and very sweet. Her vibes are very good. Like, when I see her, she just seems very... The ultimate clean girl. Like, you know that she smells good. 100%. And I remember when I used to be a giggler, I listened to an episode where Hannah, Berner, it was like an inside joke between them that Hannah, Berner, and Haley were like close because they would do press together a lot.
1:23:16And Hannah said, she's like, it's so weird meeting her in person because she's literally just so normal. And she was like, oh, do you want to meet my husband? Justin, come over here. And she's like, she's cool. And like, he's cool. And she's like, she's so much more normal than I think people understand when you're just seeing her in real life. I don't know. You just think of this like behemoth, like she's bigger, larger than life, but she's just like a normal, clean, sweet girl. A clean girl. Yeah. Okay. Let's talk about really quickly the Diddy and the yummy video and then we'll end it. So we're all familiar of the November 2009 video titled Justin Bieber's 48 Hours with Diddy, showcasing a weekend that Justin Bieber spent with Diddy, who was 40 at the time and Justin was, I think, like 13 years old.
1:23:58In the video, Diddy says he's been given custody of Justin for 48 hours and that they're going to go buck full go buck full crazy okay and i think everyone was kind of paused at this point in 2025 when we found out what all the allegations against diddy and what he's capable of man woman child elder like no one is safe from diddy and i think justin bieber is no exception it was very troubling to see these videos resurface of these interactions that justin bieber at such a young age was trapped in a home with diddy for 48 hours as diddy proclaims there was also another resurface clip of them hanging out together there's many clips actually but one of the ones i think you guys are all familiar with is they look to be in a recording studio and diddy asks bieber kind of like confrontationally hey you've been acting different why haven't you been calling me as much and justin's kind of like uh you have my number and he's like no i don't have your number my god my publicist number like justin with his high little like prepubescent voice it's very strong to watch there's that other video of justin departing like this sprinter van and diddy hugging him and he appears to be patting Justin Bieber down as if to check for a wire.
1:25:06Makes me sick to my stomach. It's sick. There's another video of Bieber and Diddy. I don't remember if it was on Letterman or Kimmel. One of those late night shows. And Bieber goes, yeah, Diddy promised that he would be giving me a Lamborghini. Haven't seen that yet. And Diddy goes, Bieber knows better than to talk about his time with Daddy Puff. And he's like pissed. Okay. He's like angry. You're Justin Bieber voice. I'm sorry. I can't take it. I know this is like a serious. Sorry. But I'm just trying to like. I'm trying to paint a picture of innocence. Yeah. He's so innocent. His voice is higher than mine.
1:25:39I know I have a deep annoying voice. Okay. His voice is like even seven octaves higher than Sophie. No. Like. What do you mean? No. Like you're doing a really good job of projecting that. That innocence with that. That voice. It's really sad. And you can tell Sean Combs is pissed. What do you know better than to talk about your time with Puffy? Oh my gosh. And like that scary fucking voice with those demonic fucking eyes. I know. He's so scary. It's like not funny. It's so scary. It's not funny at all. I just can't with Christy's voices. My voice work? Your voice work. It's incredibly disturbing.
1:26:14It makes me sick to my stomach. It is. It is. And today, Justin's team has come out dispelling any rumors, saying exclusively in May 2025 to page six, although Justin is not amongst Sean Combs victims, there are individuals who are genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve. And listen, all just, okay, then he wasn't harassed by Diddy. Okay. But I think regardless, he saw things that a 13-year-old, really no human, regardless of age, should never see. And I think we can just all agree on that. So let's talk about, lastly, the conspiracies surrounding his yummy music video.
1:26:52Yes. If you guys watch this music video, it's incredibly, incredibly dark. and you can't help but notice the, I don't even want to call them Easter eggs. I think it's very much exploitation. Dare I even say like almost QAnon adjacent of just what he's centering the video around. Like it's centered around exploitation. Justin comes out of the kitchen as if he's being served. So the video, let's take a step back. The video starts with Justin. He's walking outside of a kitchen as if he's being served on a platter. And there's a bunch of middle-aged adults around him in this like ballroom. And then there's him.
1:27:24He's like the youngest guy there with the exception of young children, like preteens to like teenagers that are like entertainment. So there's a young girl wearing a red sparkly bodysuit playing the violin and she becomes like kind of like a centerpiece throughout the video. A young girl wearing a red bodysuit, she's playing the violin. Justin Bieber, he's like in this pink suit. He looks to be appearing to have a good time. He's around all these adults. They're all being served this like very weird food. There's like green jello with what appears to be peas inside. There's like cheese puffs That's potentially a nod to Puff Daddy.
1:27:56Towards the end, there is Justin being served cake on a platter. And when he's done with a cake, the plate is just a picture of him as a little boy. And it says yummy. Like his face is on that plate. Wow. I had no idea about any of this. Yes. Almost as if Justin is being served up as a child. And the lighting is also very odd in the video. So in the beginning, it's like bright white lights. And then towards the middle, it darkens almost as if it's like a black light. And all these people are wearing white, again, nodding to maybe a ditty party. And what was I going to say? The red girl with the bodysuit playing the violin at the end of the video zooms in on her bodysuit just strewn about on one of the chairs like she has taken off that bodysuit.
1:28:38So it's just it's very dark. And when you've seen behind the scenes footage of Justin Bieber even filming that video, he's like having panic attacks. It's very sad to watch. He's like seated on the floor of this ballroom. and I think it's like his life coach or someone on his team, his therapist, whatever it may be, coming to him and like talking him through it, like take deep breaths, man. I know. I know this is hard. To me, it's definitely kind of a nod to users analyzing that the video's surreal imagery, symbolic themes is kind of pointing out to Bieber's arrival to these Hollywood elites. And the presence of children playing instruments may allude to like Diddy's controversial events of like exploiting children um my god it's really yeah it's really sad and i think that we would be remiss not to point out that this holds we otherwise the video makes no sense yeah clearly justin has been through it he's been through it yeah i was gonna say also the video features an elaborate meal including a sandwich with some symbolic imagery so basically it's kind of like a like a like a fort made of sandwich bread and in the middle of this fort is like a cherry and the bread is set up to like protect the cherry and the cherry kind of symbolizes like Justin Bieber's innocence.
1:29:48Again, it's like, and all the guests are being fed fruit, like which is a motif echoed in the video, like all this fruit, which is innocent. And they're eating the fruit. Like it's all just, it's so disturbing. And I think this is his whistleblower attempt to show like I was exploited as a child. I was being put up for public consumption and desired by middle-aged people. I think to me, this is a confirmation far more than whatever his team has said. I hate that. Hate it. Yeah. Oh, God. And he was such a little baby with no one looking out for him. Not his family. No one. Not his teen. This is why, like, I always side-eye Scooter Braun.
1:30:21It's like, you play this father figure, but you were, remember, Scooter Braun, when we did our episode, I didn't realize he was, like, 26 when he started managing Bieber. So he was also very, very young. And he's in no position to become a father figure to a person that's not his own son. Right. Yeah, there was no one looking out for him. It's really sad. And it's honestly a miracle that he survived. Yeah, he's even still with us today. I wouldn't say that, you know, it's a miracle that he is as well adjusted as he is because by all accounts, he's not. But, you know, he seems to be doing relatively OK, question mark.
1:30:58Like he's, you know, has a child that he seemingly cares about, a wife that he cares about. So hopefully he has that kind of family unit and support system now that he didn't growing up. I can just you you want that for him, obviously. It's just, you know, I will say for all her faults, Haley Bieber seems like a very, very, very supportive wife and that she really looks out for his best interests. Agreed. Agreed. And I don't think not to say Selena Gomez is not a good person. Like I'm a big fan of Selena. They weren't good together. Yes. But yeah, I don't think they are conducive to one another's mental health at all.
1:31:32And I think that's so much is clear. Even if you don't know them, it's not normal for people to break up seven different times. Like, that's just not appropriate. And there's— Yeah. So that's that on Justin Bieber. I know it was kind of a long one, but I appreciate you guys taking— There's so much, obviously. Yeah, there's so much. So thank you for walking us through it. Like, there's just so much. Yeah. Like, what a life and career he's lived in his 32 short years. I know. I'm rooting for him. I'm genuinely rooting for him. Yeah. He's so talented and I hope to see him, not touring, but I want to see him kind of leaning more into music because I feel like that's really healing for him.
1:32:08And I think music for people that are musically inclined, it is like a really therapeutic way to like get your feelings out in a way. So I hope that he continues to lean into that and does like small, small shows like at the Roxy or at hotel bars. I think that's what he does best. And I hope that he's able to also just kind of like get his bag back. I feel like he was also kind of exploited as a young child too. And who knows where all that money went. And again, it's kind of giving Brittany a little bit. So I want him to earn that back in whatever way makes sense for him. Absolutely. So I think Coachella will probably be paying him handsomely.
1:32:40And I look forward to those of baby snorkecks that are attending Coachella. I look forward to you guys seeing him and letting us know how he does. Yeah. Wishing him the best also. I know, Christy, you are such a believer. He's one of one. Love him. Yesterday on the Patreon, so if you do want to walk everyone through what you posted or what you talked about yesterday?
