In short
The episode of Snark Bay focuses on Maddie Pruitt Trout and Grant “Trizzy Trout,” portraying them as an evangelical Christian couple whose online ministry is controversial. Guests argue Maddie is an ex-Bachelor runner-up (Peter Weber’s season; she was runner-up to Hannah Ann) turned Christian influencer and church leader. They claim she built her platform through Christian content, books (Made for This Moment; The Love Everybody Wants), and a podcast (Stay True). They describe Grant as coming from Dallas billionaire Kenny Trout (Excel Communications; sold for $3.4B), with a reputation for partying and later a “born again” transformation.
Key claims
they “weaponize” God, cherry-pick Bible verses, and use religion to justify behavior (including temper/relationship issues). They’re accused of appropriating AAVE in speech. They allegedly promote rigid gender roles and harsh parenting, including spanking/hitting framed as biblical discipline. Notable examples include their “pray for Drake” first-date story, their “secret prayer closet” covered in notes after fights, and their People Magazine comments about marriage requiring “dying to your old life.” The episode also notes their lavish, fast timeline (engaged July 2022; married Oct 29, 2022) and a 2025 baby named Hosanna Rose.

1:30Christy Noel:Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Snark Bay. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. And today we are returning to Bachelor Nation and talking about Maddie Pruitt and Grant Trizzy Trout. And you guys, this is like one of the craziest, scariest episodes I feel like we've ever done. We talk about Maddie's background, her Bachelor era, their relationship and religious teachings that they spew all over the internet and their controversies. There are many of them. And you guys, this was, again, a very, very, very scary episode in my opinion. I hope you're seated. Like, don't be doing chores. Like, don't operate heavy machinery while listening to this episode because it's frightening.
2:18And you might, like, get enraged, honestly.
2:21Christy Noel:I know. Are we rage baiting? Honestly, we're rage baiting a little bit. But yeah, let's just get right into it. Let's get into it.
2:41Christy Noel:Hey, Sophie. How are you? Hey, Christy. This is a funny morning. I am in Texas right now, and I got the time zones mixed up. So I woke up about 10 minutes ago because Jordan called me. She's like, hey, are you coming? And I literally flew out of bed, did my makeup in about three minutes. So I look fucking crazy. No, you look great. I'm very impressed. No, but it's just funny because like Jordan and I were on the recording and she was like, if you're a little late, like I'm not concerned because that happens to me sometimes. Again, you guys, I'm the type B one on the team. Christy is never late.
3:19Christy is like always early, if anything. And so we were like, something's wrong. We were like, something is serious. Maybe she went out last night. We knew she was in Texas. Maybe she encountered some unsavory characters. Like my mind was like going to some dark places. So I'm just glad you're okay.
3:36Christy Noel:Sophie was saying, do we need to alert the authorities? And what would the headline be? Podcaster goes missing. And then it's like, have you just like checked her Airbnb and you're just sleeping? no me and Sophie this is like kind of embarrassing but after watching the call her Alex documentary we were joking because it was like a super long week for like the entire team and we were saying if this were a docuseries do you remember this we're like it's like we had enough and then it's like Jordan saying I almost broke it was rock bottom like we were like thinking about our future docuseries and how Jordan would be a talking head and be like, Jordan being like, I almost walked away.
4:22Also like the way our brains work. I was texting Christy this weekend because I was like leaving for work and I kept forgetting things. I like forgot to switch my laundry. I was like, Oh my God, I can't leave laundry. And so I went back to my apartment three times for like three different things. And I was like, if I, God forbid, go missing today, they will play this surveillance tape about how I was acting erratically before my disappearance. And like the way that Arbery, I was texting Christy because it was like, only me and Christy would think this way.
4:55Christy Noel:So it's your Sneha Philip moment. No, seriously. No. Okay. I'm so glad you brought this up because I'm in Texas with a bunch of my girlfriends. We're doing 50 of my girlfriends and 50 of your closest friends to see my closest girlfriends and we're doing this like reunion trip i was trying to explain to them the idaho four documentary and it was late at night and we're in this four level airbnb and i was telling them exactly step by step what happened and these girly pups are not online like they don't understand their hands were over their faces and they were so fucking scared they're like dude we don't want to sleep why don't you just tell us that then we get up me and my friend are sharing a bed.
5:33Christy Noel:I spent 30 minutes telling her about the Nutty Putty Cave. We were on TikTok and I was like, so wait a minute, I was like, just watch this though. And then I go, the thing is, Sophie and I have sat over the darkest things and it's just normal. So when I'm talking to people that don't need to touch grass, they're like shocked. They're like, why are you, why do you know all this? That's really weird. That's so funny. So Wednesdays are an office day. And tell me, that was the day that Brian Koberger was getting sentenced. Yeah. And so all day I was like, guys, I had coworkers that, first of all, they did not give a fuck.
6:06I said out loud, I was like, guys, so who's invested in the Idaho for crickets? Just clacking. Like everyone's trying to like type and like work and like be normal people. I had coworkers that hadn't even heard of this case. Like that's how like offline and normal they are.
6:22Christy Noel:My best friend that I'm sharing it with, she was who? And I'm like, how have you never heard of this? No, it's like, how are we still in the same house? How are you guys in the same friend group? How did I get to this moment where the people I surround myself with are not up to date on current events? Are not seeing Brian Koberger every time they close their eyes? To be clear, I watched every single victim impact statement. Oh my God, they were so powerful. And you guys, like, if you don't give a fuck about true crime, that's okay too. If you do, subscribe to our Patreon because we do a lot of true crime.
6:58We talked about the Nutty Putty Cave, Amy Bradley going missing, a bunch of other stories. And we are actually doing an Idaho 4 episode soon just because clearly Christy and I have a lot to say about it.
7:12Christy Noel:Yeah, yeah, we do. And it's going to come out. I don't know when this episode is going to come out, but we're backlogging some stuff. But in any case, speaking of dark, sinister energy, that is like what we're going to be covering today. We're going to be talking Maddie Pruitt Trout. and Grant Trizzy Trout. And I have seen them all over TikTok and I stopped following her after she left The Bachelor, but I always see them talking about Christianity and basically acting as like ministers and they have the podcast. And I'm like, they're weird. I don't really get their whole shtick. I get that people find them problematic.
7:48Christy Noel:I didn't understand really the details. Now I do. What are your thoughts on Grant Trizzy Trout and Madison Pruitt Trout? They scare me. I do like the the only content I come across of theirs is them preaching about Jesus and and like there's nothing wrong with being religious. I think it's it's the fact that they use social media as like a tool to preach to people. And they also have very problematic views on sex and parenting and gender roles, gender roles and things that they share. on social media that I'm just like, ugh. Yeah. Yeah. And I think what's the most problematic that I've learned through doing the research is they almost use God as a tool to weaponize their bad behavior.
8:40Christy Noel:And there's a lot of contradictions with how they view the Bible. Sometimes they'll say they'll take the Bible quite literally. For instance, spanking your child, which we'll obviously get into, which was a huge controversy as of late. Yeah. But another where, you know the bible tells you to not be greedy to not be showy and i mean grant comes from a billionaire family and they live a very extravagant life so they kind of cherry pick the parts of the bible that suit them um so let's just get into it shall we so who is maddie pruitt she is an ex-bachelor star turned christian influencer and budding evangelical church leader and you might I remember her from Pilot Pete season in 2020, which I can't even believe it's been that long because this was the last season.
9:30Christy Noel:Actually, no, that's a lie. The last season of The Bachelor that I watched was the Claire Crawley Tayshia season. Wow. I remember Peter Weber season being an absolute hot mess. I remember him being one of the worst Bachelors ever. He was so producer malleable. Like producers would tell him to do something and then he would just do it. And he was just stupid. Couldn't think for himself. his mom was literally psychotic but i think she was kind of on to something when she had a bad feeling about maddie yes yes bring her home barb bring her home to us and i was re-watching that clip for this episode and it's kind of unsettling how unfazed pilot pete and his brother were when his mom was having breakdowns like it's clear this is a very normal thing in our household which is like a whole other thing that we should talk about.
10:21Christy Noel:Yeah, like that happens a lot. Yes. Like it was just very unsettling for me to watch. But interestingly enough, if you didn't watch that season of The Bachelor, Maddie ended up being the runner up and Hannah Ann won. And then Peter broke off the engagement with Hannah Ann to get back with Maddie Pruitt. They were back together for like a week. And then subsequently broke up because the values in their life were so different, which was the original reason why she left in the first place. So it was just a big circle, ended up having the same result. And then he ended up dating Kelly Flanagan from his season.
10:51Christy Noel:Yes, for years. A mess. A mess. And now he's dating, he just went public with some other girl who's an influencer. I don't remember her name. He kind of annoys me. I just stopped paying attention. Yeah, he gives me the ick. Yep. Maddie Pruitt is one of many pageant queens that came on to The Bachelor. She was Miss Alabama Teen USA in 2024. And you'll probably be very familiar with her cringey TikToks where her and Grant, her husband, talk about sex as Christians, fighting demons. And there's this trend of competition, I think, throughout Maddie's career on TV and in life. You know, she was a star basketball player.
11:28Christy Noel:She was a pageant queen. She was on reality TV. She marries a son of a billionaire. She becomes a church leader. She just is always on top in every endeavor that she takes. So let's start from the very beginning. Maddie was born on March 25, 1996. She was raised in August. Aries. Aries. We as Pisces, thank God she's not a Pisces. Because, yeah, we do not claim her. She was raised in Auburn, Alabama. And growing up, she was a star basketball player under her dad slash coach, Chad Pruitt. He's also the Auburn University's basketball operations director. And she was a pageant girly. As I mentioned, Miss Teen USA.
12:04Christy Noel:But she didn't make the top 15. And there's a big trend on Bachelor Nation contestants where if they are pageant queens, they will automatically have some one leg up. Like they'll either get the first impression rose, they'll get the first date, they'll win, they'll become the next Bachelor. There's like some, I don't know, formula to the Bachelor franchise that allows these pageant queens to like come out on top, which kind of makes sense because the Bachelor franchise very much is for, I feel like, middle America and the South. Yeah. And I mean, they're good at putting on, you know, a charade of like, I am this perfect, sweet, gorgeous girl.
12:40You know, that's what pageant queens are.
12:42Christy Noel:Right. And I think Bachelor really mirrors Christian values in general. Yes. Just the show where the show ends in an engagement, which is like very non-standard for today's reality shows. I mean, I don't think that could ever happen today. Like that would be so nonsensical for something to actually end up in an engagement and people really expecting for you to marry that person. Right. Very bizarre if you think about it. It really is. We should do like a whole Bachelor episode in the problematic. We need to. And also the fact that, yes, I agree that the Bachelor franchise, there is this huge thing with the Bachelor franchise pushing Christian values and Christian family values.
13:17And it's very, very, very Christian if you actually pay attention.
13:21Christy Noel:Sean Lowe, Emily Maynard. Yeah. It's like not a, what's the word? Like bipartisan, but for. For religion. Religion. Or just race. I mean. Dumb and dumber. Yeah. I think they're trying to do better, but yeah, it's just, it's not it. And that's why it's lost popularity. But let's talk about her bachelor era. So she scored the first one-on-one date and she attended his parents' vow renewal even towards the end of the season. And she became a fan favorite. And you could tell she was a finalist from the beginning. You know, she got a great edit. And I think one of the most crazy things about a season and something that they did differently, and I know this because I was such a bachelor fanatic at this time is typically during fantasy week you're towards the top I forget if it's bottom three or four yeah and they're in separate hotel rooms they're basically isolated from one another but the producers went were unhinged they knew Maddie's intense Christian values and they decided to switch it up this season and they put Maddie Victoria Fuller and Hannah Ann in the same hotel room and they would go off on their fantasy dates and come back to the suite.
14:32Christy Noel:And that was just increasing all the drama and the tension. So unhinged. It's so unhinged. And I believe that was the first time they had ever done that, at least in the 10 years I had been watching the show. During her one-on-one on Fantasy Week, which of course she was the last one to go, she gave him an ultimatum, but didn't tell him it was an ultimatum, but it was. She said, you know, quote, I want to be honest about who I am and how I feel. And if next week you were to sleep with somebody else, it would be really hard for me to really move forward in this. I just feel like I owe it to you to be upfront and honest with you about that.
15:03Christy Noel:This is really important to me. And I rewatched the scene and pilot Pete was very taken aback. Like he was shocked at this point. I don't even think she had told him she was a virgin. She did admit this on this date. And he kind of said, you know, it's not necessarily fair and admitting that he had been intimate with at least one of the two girls, if not both. She goes on to say, you know, growing up, I made a commitment to myself and I decided that I wanted to save myself for marriage. And for me, I see it as the day that I say I do to the person that I want to spend the rest of my life with, which is the day that he's going to get all of me.
15:35Christy Noel:Body, soul, and spirit, I am his. Both people in a relationship are not going to have the same life decisions. I don't expect that for you or for anybody, but I do expect at this point for us to be honest about the expectations that we do have. And she basically says, I wouldn't say yes to an engagement if you slept with the other woman. And when he admits it, she storms out. She's like crying. He chases after her. It's just sad. But anyways, he breaks. She leaves. He goes with Hannah. He later chooses her. That was like, I don't know. It's just, it's juicy. It's always really juicy during a bachelor season where they don't end up going with their final one.
16:12Christy Noel:Like I think of Ari Leyendyke. Oh my God. That was something. That was something. I'm trying to think of anything else. This is a good one. Oh, the one that Jason Mesnick. Oh my God. Molly. Yes. God, that's an OG one. Yeah. What's really funny and what she kind of became known for was fake, was making fan accounts and commenting on her own post. Oh my God. You're so genuine and real. And it's so embarrassing. You would never see me again. From her account. And then she doubles down on this, Sophie. So she commented on her post from her own account saying, Maddie, you were so genuine and real. and it also was like I loved your one-on-one tonight.
16:55You're so genuine and real. Like it was supposed to look like it was like some random viewer that was like watching the show.
17:01Christy Noel:Right. And I think if that were me in my position, I would just own it and be like, yeah. Like obviously the viewers are not stupid. They know. And she basically doubled down on this on an episode of Off the Vine. And she basically, I won't read the whole thing, but basically she goes into this whole spiel. It's thou doth protest too much. going into all the details about how multiple people while she was on the show had her Instagram passwords and usernames and that they were confused on which account they were using. And in any case, that's weird that your friend is commenting that if that were in fact the case.
17:33Christy Noel:But come on. Come on. Yes, exactly. Because again, it was like supposed to be someone just like watching the show, like loved your one on one. Like you're so genuine and real. Like that's not like something a friend or like an assistant or like someone would comment. Can you imagine if you went on a dating? Well, that's it's maybe if I went on a dating show and you commented, Chrissy, you are so genuine and real. I loved how vulnerable you were tonight. I loved the episode. You're the best contestant. It's an insult to my intelligence, to be honest, for her to even double down and say it was whatever.
18:04Christy Noel:It's stupid. So embarrassing.

20:56Christy Noel:After The Bachelor, she kind of parlayed her fame into being a Christian influencer. So in October 2021, so a year after she started on the show, she released a Christian memoir called Made for This Moment, Standing Firm with Strength, Grace and Courage. And she discusses like the lessons she learned from being somewhat famous after her stint on The Bachelor. And I remember this. After the final rose or one of the episodes, Selena Gomez posted an Instagram story with her and Maddie Pruitt at Target. Do you remember this? I do vaguely remember this. This feels like a lifetime ago. Yeah, I remember watching Selena's stories and being like, what the fuck?
21:34Christy Noel:Selena, if you guys are unfamiliar, obviously is very religious. So I guess they were hanging in the same circles. Yeah, church friends. But weird. Maddie's following basically began to skyrocket as she was churning out this Christian content. And by this point in 2021, she had 1.4 million followers on Instagram. And also this year, big year for Maddie, she meets son of a billionaire and born again Christian, Christian Grant Trout. But he goes by Grant. And we'll get into the Grant Trizzy Trout era. And by the way, the Trizzy Trout is a self-proclaimed nickname that Grant himself gave himself.
22:12I hate it.
22:13Christy Noel:I hate it. In 2021, excuse me, in 2023, she publishes her second book, The Love Everybody Wants. And in 2024, she launched a podcast called Stay True. And it's about staying true to your values, beliefs, and standards, because obviously. And she kind of starts doing these speaking engagements, and she has like this ministry career, or she becomes like a reverend, or I think that's what you call it. But, you know, she's kind of like, it's not even a billionaire's wife. It's like, she has her own hustle, you know, and it's in this very hyper religious atmosphere realm. Let's talk about her grant era.
22:51Christy Noel:As I mentioned, they met in late 2021, soft launch their relationship in May 2022. And I watched this podcast episode where Grant describes how they met. It was like through a mutual friend, like a mutual friend and they're like faith based circles posted with Maddie. And he goes, she's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. Is she single? And the friend relayed that message to Maddie. And Maddie's like, I don't know, I'm not really interested in dating anyone. And Grant like, kept pursuing her. And ultimately, she just, she couldn't resist. So they decided to go on their first date. And this is one of the TikToks or podcast clips that have been very viral.
23:29Christy Noel:Have you seen this about their first date? I definitely saw it a while ago, but not recently. It is the most cringe thing I have ever seen. So basically, they were saying how their first date was full of just talking about their values and how they had never met someone so aligned with one another's values. And they said that after they had gotten like dinner or whatever, they jumped into Grant's car. And he goes, he goes, Hey, what would you feel if we started playing Drake and driving around? And she's like, Oh, I'm in love. You know, he wants to play Drake. And so he's like, we were blasting Drake in my car, driving around.
24:07Christy Noel:We had no idea where we were going. And then all of a sudden, I was like, hold on, should we stop the car and pray for Drake? And we're like, hell yeah, let's pray for Drake. So we stopped the car and we started to pray for him because he probably needs prayers. And it's just very, very bizarre. Maddie also said in this podcast episode when she's relaying their first date, she goes, at this point, I didn't know how passionate Grant was. And I didn't know how much swag that he had. And he goes, The swag. She didn't know. She didn't know. Like, it's so cringey. I just, I really can't. Oh my God.
24:44That was like basically mine and Henry's first date too.
24:50Christy Noel:Blasting Drake and then asking Henry to pull over or the Uber driver to pull over so you guys can pray. And then praying for Drake. It's just, it's like these are the things even if that didn't happen. And speaking of the way that Grant speaks, and honestly Maddie speaks as well, they've been accused of using AAVE, which I didn't know what this was before. African American vernacular English. So I had to look up like the history of it, but some scholars contend that AAVE developed out of the contact between speakers of West African languages and speakers of vernacular English varieties. According to such a view, West Africans learned English on plantations in the southern coastal states, such as Georgia and South Carolina, from a very small number of native speakers, which were the indentured laborers.
25:35Christy Noel:Some suggest that this led to the development of a rudimentary pigeon, which was later expanded through a process of creolization. so basically what this is saying is like the way that they speak is yeah like they're appropriating black culture and then they also will use like black sense yes it's really weird and i don't know where that comes from it's like racist yeah yeah it's i mean and their behavior is very adjacent to just like white supremacy right right so and that's not that's not even like a controversial to say. Like, we'll see as we continue down the outline. It's very scary. So who is Grant Trout?
26:15Christy Noel:He comes from Dallas, Texas, and he's the son of billionaire Kenny Trout, who is the founder of Excel Communications, not the Microsoft Excel, a different company. But in any case, he sold it for$3.4 billion. So obviously, Grant comes from an extremely wealthy, well-to-do family. The Trout family owns a 22-acre estate in Dallas, where they later got married him and Maddie. And he attended the Episcopal School of Dallas where he was known to throw huge ragers. And he was definitely the wild party group in high school, according to sources. And another thing that I came across on Reddit, and obviously take it with a grain of salt, who's to say that if this is actually true, but I came across this person who said that they went to high school with Grant and he was such a player.
27:00Christy Noel:They were at a party one time and this really like hot girl from another school came. I guess the girl who was throwing the parties little brother was home, seven years old, sleeping in his bedroom. And Grant needed a place to hook up with this hot girl from the other school. So he barged into the seven year old's room, all alleged, woke up the seven year old said, wake up, little man, I need to use your room for a second. So he kicked a seven year old, like literally traumatic, kicked the seven year old out of his bedroom. The seven-year-old went to the party throwers. You know, he starts crying.
27:33Christy Noel:He's like, someone just kicked me out of my room. So then the party, the person who owned the house, she marches up to her little brother's room, opens the door, and it's like been three minutes at best. And Grant and this girl were already like butt naked. So it's safe to assume he wasn't saving himself for Maddie. Yes. And that's a whole thing where he's a born again Christian. So she was a legitimate virgin, but he is not. And honestly, that's a tale as old as time. It's like the men in some of these like really hyper-Christian faiths, the men are allowed to like have sex and be born again.
28:05Christy Noel:But it's like they require the women to be pure. And you know what? I can say this because I know someone like this in my life. And I don't want to say this is how everyone is. obviously this is the extreme but men that are really really religious who have had sex had part were partying doing drugs smoking weed but their expectation is that their wife be a virgin it's like it's a prerequisite if you are not a virgin i am not interested in marrying you it's like a scary type of individual it's very scary and like misogynistic in a way and yes also like the born again thing. I just don't. Do you just like decide?
28:43Is there like a process where you're born again?
28:47Christy Noel:Thank you so much for asking. Is there like a course you need to take to make sure that you're like released and you know, from your sins? Is it one of those things like Tamara when Tamara got baptized as an adult? Tamara's baptism. Oh, never forget. That's what I picture. I'm like to be born again. Like, do you have to get baptized? Like how how are you officially born again? We're asking this earnestly, Baby Snarks, if you guys can explain to us how born again Christians work when it comes to virginity or lack thereof, how does that work in practice? So Grant played basketball. He was actually very good.
29:19Christy Noel:And he earned a scholarship to UC Santa Barbara in 2015, but he injured his hip and he subsequently transferred to SMU, which is very much more his speed. But yes, when he was in college, he had a lot of fun. Allegedly a party guy, did drugs, player, hooked up a lot, normal college stuff. But again, not the Christian savior complex that he is today. After college, he started working in finance at an investing firm in Dallas, but he had a calling towards the Christian faith and towards ministry. So he started to speak and minister to athletes and churches. And he started to post on Instagram about his love for Jesus, overcoming anxiety and panic attacks through prayer and trusting God.
29:57Christy Noel:And ultimately, this led him to Madison, which is again, you know, meeting through faith-based circles and mutuals. He proposed to Maddie after less than a year of dating in July 2022. And it kind of reminds me of like what we saw in Secret Lives of Mormon Wives. And I'm sorry, guys, if I sound ignorant when I'm talking about religion. I just don't have a lot of people in my real life that are hyper religious. Like I can think of like one girly pop who was lovely from high school who was really religious. But I'm sorry if I sound naive when I'm talking about this. But when I'm thinking about why they got married so quickly, it's because they wanted to have sex.
30:28Christy Noel:And they've admitted to this on podcast episodes and it kind of reminds me of secret lives and mormon wives when all the women like admitted we couldn't have sex so we just had to speed up the timeline because we wanted to hook up which they didn't want to do the nasty until they were in a binding contract aka a marriage people were like alleging that she could be not a gold digger but she's building an empire right she's known for being a star and everything that she touches basketball winning the bachelor or, you know, kind of winning the bachelor pageant queen, like she needs to always be on top.
31:00Christy Noel:So if she's trying to run this Christian ministry empire, what better way to do that than to be married to a Christian billionaire son? Is she a gold digger or is she just a fucking genius, a marketing genius? And we'll get into why people are a little bit concerned. Their relationship doesn't seem all, you know, roses and rainbows. It just seems a little bit dark and it seems like they don't really like each other, but God forbid they divorce because they're kind of both uplifting one another's brands when it comes to the faith and their sermons and all this. It's so interesting also to be like ultra, ultra, ultra Christian and make yourself seem so righteous and God-fearing.
31:40And, you know, you are so just walking in the name of Jesus and doing everything Jesus would do. Jesus, from what I know, again, I'm not Christian. So correct me if I'm wrong. Jesus would not approve of billionaires. Being a billionaire is not a Christian thing to be.
31:58Christy Noel:Yes. And that is something that is brought up a lot. And what it kind of said up top is they cherry pick verses from the Bible that fit their narrative. Yeah. So they'll be like devoutly religious, very pious. and at the same time want to maintain the status quo of being billionaires while letting like us peons continue to work for nothing. Well, it's like those evangelical, who's the really evil like evangelical preacher that has like mega mansions? I forgot his name, but he's really scary looking and evil. You know who I'm talking about? No, not Bill Graham. You know who I'm talking about? He's really scary.
32:40But it's like I feel like they kind of tell themselves, well you know we were just such good christians that like god rewarded us with all this money
32:49Christy Noel:and all these blessings and to them it is their calling to spread the faith and to live this life like they think that they have earned it which again is not something that the bible would would would teach like greed is is one of the as a sin but like being a billionaire is oh kenneth copeland kenneth copeland at their wedding they got married october 29th 2022 at his parents dallas 22 acre estate. And of course, some of the bachelor girly pops were there. That's also so fast to get engaged in July 22. And then you're married in October 22. Yeah, when I'm sure they hired the best wedding planner, I found this TikTok of a woman who was a wedding planner based in New York City.
33:30Christy Noel:And she ran down the list of like the things that they got done. Yeah, estimated the price tag a million dollars, like even something so much like the tent that they had that was humongous. it was like the size of a fucking football field, 100K. And then just that, that's just the tent. The production of the tent, the lighting, the flowers that were hanging from the tent, another 100K. Like just little things like this, obviously. A lot of the Bachelor Nation girly pops were there, Hannah Ann, Victoria Fuller, Kelly Flanagan. And she had two different wedding dresses. One of the dresses on the veil said, worth the wait.
34:01Christy Noel:And she has this obsession with sex. Like her and Grant always talk about sex. And it's like, we get it. It's like a hyper fixation. Oh my God, the worth of wait. so bad also 400 guests that's like a massive wedding i don't even know i don't even know 400 people between i bet if all the girly pops in this airbnb right now we acquired all the people we know that couldn't even amount to 400 it's probably like a it's billionaire things you know they're inviting the the the parents friends and yeah yeah yeah totally after they got married people recognize some weird things on their instagrams or podcasts they constantly praise each other as they talk about their marriage they like put their marriage on a pedestal but they say things like you know love is a choice and a sacrifice which yes we agree that that's objectively correct but it's interesting to hear them talk about this just like a year and a half into their actual full relationship forget how they've only been married for six months like you guys have actually been together a year and a half.
35:03Christy Noel:And you guys are still talking about how difficult it is. They tell, you know, love doesn't solve problems, but God does. They told People Magazine that the first six months of their marriage have been really, really hard for them. And they felt like their marriage was a dying to their old life. And they said, quote, I think that the reason it was hard was something that was not that not a lot of people talk about. I feel like when you get married, there's this beautiful celebration and union taking place. But there's also this dying to your old life. We both had to learn that we were going to have the healthiest and best marriage by continuing to lay our life down for one another and serve each other.
35:36Christy Noel:Maddie explains that it's been very difficult for her to adjust to the male brain and communicate with Grant. It's interesting that they speak on the hardships of marriage and relationship when they have unlimited funds, no kids at this point, obviously they share a child now, no real jobs, like they're influencers, but they don't have like corporate jobs and are somewhat famous. Like they have the world at their fingertips. But people, oh, go ahead. I was just going to say, it's just like when people talk about marriage, like it's so hard. And like, yeah, there are definitely aspects of it that like can be challenging.
36:09It's not just about you anymore. It's about someone else. It's just like, I don't think that's a good sign. It reminds me of like the Bieber's. Like every time Haley or Justin talks about marriage in interviews, They act like it's like the most tortuous, grueling thing in the entire world. And it's really not like it's fun when you're married to the right person.
36:28Christy Noel:Yeah. No, I mean, I completely co-sign that. Not that I'm married, but like I'd imagine that's the feeling. I'm not to say that you don't have obstacles or hurdles, but like every time people ask you about your relationship, it shouldn't be. It's so hard. And we're trying to overcome all these obstacles and demons and everything. You have to work every day. it's like no you really you really like kind of i mean like that's just my person and i know i've only been married for less than a year you guys so like i don't know maybe it gets harder but like it's really not the most tortuous grueling thing in the entire world like the beavers and the trouts act like it is yeah it shouldn't be it shouldn't be yeah nothing makes you appreciate good bedding more than a hot august night having something that's lightweight breathable cool and easy to sleep in no matter how hot it gets is so freaking important.

42:10Christy Noel:What people find very troubling is they often will say things and say, well, God wanted this. And it's a consistent kind of motif in their marriage. Well, they'll, it's like a cognitive dissonance thing where they'll twist themselves into a pretzel to make it seem like this behavior is okay because God wants it to be like this. And they said something, you know, like we put God first in our lives. They're amplifying the good in us. God is not the source of your self-control. God does not. No, sorry, excuse me. people are saying like God is not the source of your self-control. He doesn't control our choices.
42:42Christy Noel:God can, of course, give you discernment. But Grant kind of just relieves himself of any responsibility and merely just tells the audience and his podcast listeners, you know, my actions and temper are because God forced me to this. And it's like, you can just say you're being a shitty husband. It doesn't have to be because God led you to this path. Yeah, like you have free will. right something that others found very concerning was maddie revealed um in a podcast episode that she has a secret prayer closet and she says that when her and grant fight she retreats to this closet in their home to pray for grant and then she writes prayer notes all over the wall and at this point the wall is like completely like it's you can't even see the wall because there's so many notes that's fucking terrifying that's like a horror movie sounds like a panic room yeah that's literally out of a horror movie absolutely can you imagine going into their home it's like this beautiful home and you go into this creepy ass closet and there's just like tattered notes like with freaking like you know or sticky notes plastered all over the wall and there's like a probably like a candle it sounds demonic actually jordan just goes it sounds like a hostage hostage situation, which it totally does.
43:56Christy Noel:Oh my God. But, you know, they use the Bible a lot to defend some of their actions. Like, for instance, you're living in an extravagant life in this private mansion, but the Bible says you should live the exact opposite. And again, they pick and choose scripture when it serves them. For instance, when they talk about disciplining their child and hitting their child with a rod, which is what it says in the Bible, they said, well, that's why we want to discipline. And we'll get into that specific thing because that's what relates to on the internet. But hitting their child, they're like, well, the scripture says it, so we should do that.
44:28Christy Noel:Living Chase, you know, the Bible says that we should live Chase, so we're going to do that. But they'd never abide by like the overall messaging of the Bible, like living modestly, never boasting about your faith, loving everyone. It's just such a, it's such so ironic and it's hypocritical is what it is. Yep. Cherry picking. Yep. Maddie said in a podcast episode how when talking about her marriage, one should always be submissive and dutiful to their husband, even at the cost of her own happiness. Of course, we're only talking about a heterosexual relationship because when it comes to any relationship that is outside of those parameters, they don't even believe that to be valid.
45:06Christy Noel:But yes, a woman should always be submissive and dutiful to her husband at the expense of her own happiness. Yes, you heard that correctly. She wants to make herself smaller so that Grant can take the lead. Guys, do not listen to these fucking idiots. Huh. Absolutely not. When I think about the trad wives that we've covered, we talked to Nara Smith with Shannon from Fluently Forward a couple months back. We've discussed Ballerina Farm. Those are trad wives in the sense of they're homemakers. They help clean the home. They prepare dinner. They bake bread. They're farmsteading. Not once, at least to my knowledge and based on the research we did for both of these girls, not once are they actually well i guess the ballerina farm you know that one puff piece it alluded to her being very submissive and dutiful to her husband and not getting an epidural because that's not what daniel wanted etc etc but i think they've never blatantly said and correct me if i'm wrong but i don't think neither nara or ballerina farm has ever said something as like rage baby as clearly as this basically being like i am inferior to my husband I come second no matter what.
46:15Christy Noel:Right. Right. And it's like you had that puff piece. I don't think it was the New York Times, but it was like a big publication. Basically, everyone attacking Ballerina Farm, which some of it was valid and people were coming from a place of concern. But it's like you need to bring that energy to Maddie Pruitt and her husband. Like she is fully telling you that she is a hostage and she is at the helm and happiness of her husband. If her husband's happy, she's happy. What happened to happy wife, happy life? It's the opposite. Like it actually should be like obviously like marriage is like a partnership.
46:42and you should be on equal footing and you guys are equals. But it really should be that the woman is put on a pedestal because she is the one that is burying your children, sacrificing her body, putting her, getting pregnant and having a child is a very dangerous thing to do.
46:57Christy Noel:And fucks your brain up afterwards for a lot of women. It's crazy. Like the woman should be the one on the pedestal. Like all he had to do was, you know. Pump. Pump. And spread his seed everywhere, which is what he loves. I'm sure. But they constantly talk about their struggles, their petty fights. And people are kind of thinking, if you guys are always talking about the issues, like you just mentioned, a la Haley Bieber, Justin Bieber, are you happy? Like if your marriage is so much work, where you're constantly this push and pull, are you really, truly happy? And people are genuinely concerned for her.
47:30Christy Noel:But the thing is, I don't even think she has people in her life that would tell her otherwise, because it sounds like they come from the same school of thought, where the husband should be the one happy at the end. Doesn't matter how mad he feels, as long as Grant's happy, we're all happy. They're clearly miserable. Yes. So they just had a child this year. In January, 2025, they wore their first child, Hosanna Rose, which is like a really interesting name. And I guess in the faith literally means praise the Lord. So that's why they decided to choose that name because every time they wanted to utter her name, they wanted themselves to be praising the Lord.
48:06Christy Noel:It's like so, what's it? Literal. Of course, the gender reveal party was nothing short of extravagant, just like their wedding. Over the top, very flashy. Think huge pink explosions, etc. But, you know, one should be modest, according to the Bible. But they don't cherry pick from that specific scripture. Yeah. But she explains in this tech talk that I came across that she was inspired by the name of this Christian journal. And it's called Hosanna Revival is the name of the Christian journal. But she said it separately. she had this journal that Grant, I think, gifted to her. And she turned the first page and it said Hosanna Revival.
48:41Christy Noel:And she's like, that's the name. That's the name that we need to use. And she then partnered with this Hosanna Revival Bible company to be like a brand ambassador for them. And everyone was saying like, what does the Bible say about using your child to sell said Bible? Yeah, to make like affiliate money. Yeah, off the back of your child who can't speak for themselves and a child who should have a trust fund in their name if you're earning money from their likeness and name, which in California - On your own like to know it. Like, it's just so, so bad. It's sick. And I think there's a law in California where if you are using your child to earn money, you need to put that money in some kind of trust fund.
49:20Yep.
49:21Christy Noel:I don't know if the same practice or law exists in Texas, but in any case, I think that's the right thing to do. Yeah. But not that they fucking need any more money. I mean, they should be fine. But in any case, later down the line, as she's doing her Stay True podcast, Grant soon becomes a co-host. And they discuss, of course, their Christian values and their marriage, which of course has gotten them into a lot of hot water as of late. And in a very recent episode of the podcast, they're talking about disciplining Hosanna using corporal punishment. And they say that they will spank her. And Grant, in this clip of the podcast that I watched, he was like laughing.
49:53Christy Noel:He was like, when we're disciplining our child, Hosanna, get over here. I'm pulling down those pants and we're spanking you. Oh, wait, you sound just like him. That was a really good impression of him. Thank you. Thank you. He said, on the record, we will spank her because the Bible clearly says folly is bound up in a child, but discipline drives it far away. It's crazy how well he knows these, like the scripture verbatim. He was able to like say immediately. And he was like, yeah, the Bible says it. So why can't we discipline her by using a literal rod? And it's like, dude, Hosanna is a literal infant.
50:29Christy Noel:She's not, she's six months old. Why are you already talking about hitting her? It's very, I get like back in the day in like the 80s, our parents probably like there was some discipline. So Grant goes on to say, it specifically says discipline with a rod. Well, some people could say you could discipline them with timeouts, but hold on, hold on. It specifically says with a rod. And then Maddie, she jumps off of that. She goes, mommy does not. and she's talking to the podcast listeners as if she were talking to Hosanna. She goes, mommy does not want to discipline you. Mommy doesn't enjoy having to spank you, but there are consequences to disobedience.
51:04Christy Noel:And that's what you're saying is there are consequences to our sin. There are consequences to our disobedience. I love that you're speaking to this idea of like even our understanding between an earthly father and child because the Lord gives us that example. We're given that example in scripture. And the reality is discipline proves that we are God's children. It is not God's rejection towards us. It's actually proof that we belong to him. And they kept, again, cognitive dissonancing themselves and kept saying, when we are disciplining you, Hosanna, that means we love you. Because discipline means that we are speaking in the name of the Lord, meaning he loves you enough to discipline you.
51:40Christy Noel:It's so terrifying. Terrifying. Terrifying. Poor Hosanna. Not only for her name, but like her parents. Right. Right. And everyone was saying, you know, when she grows to be older, it's a long syllable name. Is the nickname going to be like Ho? Ho? Hoes? Oh, my God. It's so bad. And like, yeah, like spanking and that kind of stuff. Yeah. Back in the day, even in the 90s, a lot of our parents spanked us in the 90s. And then it's like, you know, it's 30 years later and everyone knows that that's not like a socially acceptable way to punish your children anymore. Right. Yep, exactly. Either Grant or Maddie said, quote, discipline is not pleasant.
52:26Christy Noel:When my dad spanked me when I was young, I didn't enjoy it. But now I look back and I'm like, praise God, my dad loved me enough to discipline me. Praise God that my dad loved me enough to train me into righteousness. Oh my God. How scary is that? How, praise God that my dad loved me enough to train me into righteousness. Let those words sink in. I hate it. You're not grounded in a real world. You're not grounded in reality. I'm not even, this is, religion aside, this is just a scary sentence. This is obviously incredibly controversial. The National Institute of Health has now said about disciplining your child through physical spanking.
53:05Christy Noel:They said, we now have enough research to conclude that spanking is ineffective at best and harmful to children at worst. We also know that a range of professional and human rights organizations condemn the practice and urge parents to use alternative forms of discipline. Yeah, correct. Period. Another thing about the relationship is they never stopped talking about sex. And in June, so just last month of 2025, Maddie spoke on her pod about her sexual sin and how she overcame a decade of porn and masturbation addiction that started to happen when she was young. And she said and admitted, this has been a struggle.
53:40Christy Noel:This has been a huge part of my testimony, something I've struggled with since middle school. And thankfully, by the grace of God and by the power of the godly community and people around me, I've been free from porn and masturbation for, I don't even know, 10 years. This is something that has enslaved me and has marked me for so long. It was something I feel like I could not break free from. No matter how much I loved Jesus, I could not shake this sin. I could not break free from porn and masturbation, and I would beat myself up and I would be bound by shame. and the crazy thing is is like really religious evangelical christians see porn and masturbation as the cardinal sin of lust and i actually have a anecdote about this so i had a friend years ago super sweet girl very very religious and she got married the year after they graduated college so like kind of like this right and i remember her and i got super close and we were at work one day just her and I.
54:36Christy Noel:And she goes, you know, I caught my husband watching porn and I'm going to divorce him. And I remember being so shocked, like, wait, what? You guys just got married like nine months ago. She goes, no, no, no. Like he's cheating on me and I'm going to divorce him. And this story of evangelical Christians seeing porn and masturbation as the cardinal sin of lust, like reminds me of my girlfriend that at that point. Did they end up divorcing? They didn't. So they had to go through like a bunch of therapy and they're still, you know, two kids later. Oh, my God. They seem happy enough. But I've lost touch with her.
55:08Christy Noel:But I remember thinking, wow, that's like really crazy. Very extreme. But it's like if you if you suppress like a biological like need. So like having sex is bad. But then also like watching porn and masturbating is bad. you are like suppressing like it's it's like a biological like desire as human beings what do you think is going to happen it's so true and it's really sad that you feel so guilty and sinful to do things like you said that are part of being a human biologically and I didn't grow up religious like not buddhist not nothing just my family was never religious but I have a lot of friends and So like growing up and exploring my sexuality and having sex, obviously before marriage, I never felt guilt at all.
56:02Christy Noel:Like all my friends are like, I can just, the way I move about life, I can very much like have sex and I don't have an emotional attachment. I can just do my own thing. And I think you're the same way. We've talked about this on our Dating Misadventures podcast on our Patreon, if you guys want to go over there, about all the crazy things that we did in our 20s and whatever. But I feel it's never been a thought when like I am intimate with someone and I feel shame and I want to like hate myself. Right. And I can't even imagine how exhausting that would be. But I do understand I don't want to negate religious shame about sex because I have a lot of friends who have that and hold that for who grew up religious.
56:36Yeah, I feel like, well, first of all, like my religion that I grew up in Judaism, it's not something that I ever felt like it doesn't teach you like you're going to hell or you're going to feel guilty for doing this. And I feel like my friends that are Catholic or people that I know that are Catholic, there is something called like Catholic guilt.
56:53Christy Noel:Catholic guilt. And you are literally taught from birth that like you will go to hell or you should feel guilty about doing this. And that is such a, I don't know, it seems like it seems like a beautiful religion. religion. I'm not, you know, trying to like shit on an entire religion. I'm just saying that that is a more difficult way to go through life, I would say. Absolutely. Yeah. And there's a lot of good things about religion. I don't want to say just because I'm not religious. Absolutely. Religion is stupid or the practices are invalid. That's not what I'm saying at all. But it's the most extreme cases where at a very young age when your brain is developing and you're being told time and time again, if you have sex before marriage, you are bad and sinful and you're going hell that's fucking scary yeah and then to go against that is even scarier and so i totally understand peers and friends of mine who have told me to this day like i can't even have sex without feeling a little bit of guilt afterwards like that that's a lot to carry and that's such a good point about being young where like when you grow up you're like hell isn't real like it's fine but like when you're young you're terrified you're like oh my god if i do this i will burn in hell for all eternity right it's like so scary it's where the term god fearing comes from it's like you just don't want to do anything that could nix your chance of going to heaven like that's horrifying right and people thought that maddie's discussion about porn and masturbation and sexual sin was an interesting time timing um with the supreme court decision allowing certain states to not necessarily ban porn but like there's certain age restrictions at which you can watch it.
58:24Christy Noel:And I came across this Newsweek article in 2024, where they said the following states have passed or have at least agreed to pass age restriction laws, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Virginia, before you can watch porn, but people kind of see her as timing her episodes in these almost rage baby episodes in line with certain like, legislation that has been passed. Right. And it kind of goes along with her agenda of just continuing to climb along the ranks of high power individuals, which I don't think is outside the realm of possibility.
59:00Maybe if you had a business you were passionate about.
59:03Christy Noel:Sophie, the way I was saying that all night and my friends were like, just stop. Like, why do you keep saying that? They're not real baby snarks. But like, seriously, like she is like very, I will give her that very business minded, clearly. Like she knows what she's doing. Absolutely. she knows what she's doing. And Maddie also alluded to the fact that Grant, too, overcame a porn addiction and, of course, having premarital sex, which we know about when he was kicking out the seven-year-old from his bedroom. She explains that he struggled with and changed his ways once he became more connected to his faith.
59:35Christy Noel:And he used to think of sex outside of marriage as no big deal, but later chose a lifestyle of purity. And he took his sexual sin seriously and led him, which led him into the arms of Jesus Christ. And she says, I'm so thankful that when Grant had a radical transformation with Jesus. And when he started bringing accountability into his life, he chose to pursue a lifestyle of purity. And he also struggled with marijuana addiction in 2019, he says, and it led him to a lot of panic attacks. And after that, he said he was done with drugs. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT. 1:02:03Christy Noel:What's even more interesting outside of just premarital sex is they talk about their sex life within the confines of their marriage and partnership a lot on their podcast. And she says that when she and Grant have sex, even when they feel like they don't want to, they do it because they want to keep the devil out of their marriage. So even if neither one of them is feeling it, they're not in the mood, they need to continue to have sex to keep the devil out. Guys, I remember when this happened. Couple questions. Couple questions. I want to know like logistically how, like how does that keep the devil out exactly?
1:02:43Logistically. And the devil's like, you guys got to fuck or else I'm coming in there.
1:02:48Christy Noel:Yeah, it's like, what do you mean? What do you mean? W-G-Y-M. Oh my God, I don't understand. They're so scary. Every time I think of WDYM, do you know what I'm thinking about? Can you? WDYM. Yeah. Do you know what I'm talking about? Like, what I'm looking to? Oh, yeah. I know what you're going to say. What do you mean? What am I going to say? What do you mean he was her makeup artist? No, no. I wasn't going to say that, but that's a good one. No, I was thinking about when you and Henry went to Japan for your honeymoon, and he texted you saying, do you want to go to China for a weekend trip? Oh, yeah.
1:03:21And I was like, what do you mean? He was dead ass, too.
1:03:25Christy Noel:Do you want to go to China? I was like, what are you? What? It's not like that close either. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like, what do you mean? For a weekend trip? He was dead ass. It's like in California. Do you want to go to Mexico for a weekend trip? Yes. It's like going to the Jersey Shore from the city. That's what he was acting like. But yes, Brittany Murphy on Patreon. What do you mean he was a makeup artist? If you didn't know Simon Monjack, Brittany Murphy's late husband, who Brittany Murphy is also deceased herself, he used to do her makeup when he was isolating her so much from the world that he became her makeup artist and we were like what do you mean so if he was like wait sorry what he was like learning cut creases on youtube that's what i pictured that was honestly one of the funniest moments of this podcast ever to be clear god so they said that they need to have sex even if they're pissed off at one another they said even if we've just had a big fight we need to have sex because we need to fight for our unity.
1:04:22Christy Noel:It seems as though they have this push and pull of when one person is in the mood for sex and the other is not, and it's causing them to fight. And of course, they say that when they get into these bickering arguments, it's because of Satan. That sounds fucking horrible, by the way. Like to not be in the mood for sex. And it's like, well, we have to, or else Lucifer is going to be here tonight in the dark. Lucifer will be here. Yeah. Is that what they actually think? Yes. Yes, that's exactly. Actually, that's exactly how they think. And they said that they look Satan right in the eyes as they're doing the nasty.
1:04:58Christy Noel:Come again. I think we've lost the plot. Like, I don't even know what we're talking about anymore, to be completely honest. This is like the craziest episode I feel like we've ever done. No, I know. They look him in the eyes. Like, is he like giving bedroom eyes? He's got Betty Davis eyes. No, he's like giving them like tips and tricks on how to make it more nasty in the bedroom. Like, oh. He's like Paige Lorenz. He's like, you have to do the balls too. Yeah. If you guys don't know, we did a Paige Lorenz episode on the Patreon. It's already up. So if you don't know that reference, go ahead and subscribe because it's, we go in deep on her lore.
1:05:41Christy Noel:but speaking of purity before they got married they posted an instagram story it was a q a and someone talked about like you know tell us about your purity stance and why it's so hard and maddie responded with a really frankly scary fucking picture rant he's giving brian koburger eyes in this photo but she writes it's hard but it's worth it physical intimacy is the greatest gift in marriage but outside of marriage it's one of the greatest hindrances to intimacy with god and future intimacy with your spouse. You cannot try and pursue purity in a temptation moment. You have to make a decision outside of the moment.
1:06:16Christy Noel:Get ready for it. Grant and I wrote out a purity contract and sent it to our best friends to hold us accountable. The amount of money I would pay to get a hold of that purity contract. What if I like did that with my friends? That's such a fucking crazy thing to do. I wouldn't be friends. Like we're stopping. Oh my God. Like don't bring them into this i'm co-hosting with a freak like that is insane what do you mean you had your friends like co-sign on your purity contract and sent to them via email on a pdf like did you docusign it then you sent it yeah they had to like do like the pdf like edit software yeah the adobe reader yeah like that's fucking crazy again unclear it is it makes sense you guys like nothing against Christianity.
1:07:06This is like an extreme, extreme level that I am just having so much trouble wrapping my head around.
1:07:14Christy Noel:As you should. As you should. Not normal. Not normal. Going into their ministry work and other criticisms. So as I mentioned, she speaks at churches, youth conferences throughout Texas. She even has on her website, like maddieprue.com slash speaking. And people see her as kind of this grifter of the Bible. And I didn't realize where the term like Babel came from, I often think about it in a term of like psychobabble bullshit. Where does that term actually come from? And it basically means meaningless talk in the context of prayer and religion. And it's used in the New Testament in the Bible to warn people against using prayer for your own vanity.
1:07:48Christy Noel:And I guess in the Old Testament, humans try to build the Tower of Babel to reach the heavens. But God is like, this isn't praise. You guys are just being really prideful. So then God basically confuses their languages so they can't understand one another. and Jesus brings up Babel in the New Testament and is like, you guys are just repeating words without actually understanding the meaning behind them. And he highlights that lengthy and repetitive prayers are unnecessarily, especially when using it for your own personal gain, which is quite literally what Maddie does. She'll just spout like buzzwords from the Bible and from, you know, scripture, but without having like true meaning behind it or really abiding by the scripture of the Bible itself.
1:08:27Christy Noel:It's Babel. Yeah, it's so like surface level. Yes, it's very, very surface level. And as we continue saying, cherry picking what she wants to live by and what she wants to tout, but like living not by the Bible at all in other respects. Right. People accuse her of monetizing faith under the guise of sharing gospel. Like when she spoke at Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church, which is a mega church that is owned by Joel Osteen. Joel Osteen is another one that's really bad. Like Kenneth Copeland. Right. huge Christian Christian grifter. And he also said at one point, homosexuality is not God's best. His words.
1:09:04Christy Noel:Yeah. Oh, but like, that doesn't surprise me at all. In fact, if they were for gay marriage, I would be like, the world is crumbling. Like we're not living on the earth of Maddie Prude and Grant Trout because something must be afoot. Like, of course, they wouldn't believe in homosexuality. Like, give me a break. Of course, the wealth in authenticity to their followers and to the Bible. So the hypocrisy between their extreme wealth and preaching piety is obviously very evident amongst their viewers and followers. And it's speculated that Grant is, you know, like nepple babies often do. He doesn't even have a real job.
1:09:36Christy Noel:Their life is bankrolled by his billionaire family. And they can afford to go on, you know, these influencer trips, host lavish events, like look at their baby shower, their wedding, go on influencer trips and do their own podcast, but like not actually have or earn money for themselves through just like hard work. Right. And they're just emblematic of Christian influencers who promote denying themselves of life's pleasures yet touting their own wealth, which of course the Bible has a lot to say on greed. One TikTok that was really offensive to a lot of people that I watched, it was this like trend where you're putting different like buzzwords on the screen and you're pointing to each and talking about whether it's in or out.
1:10:12Christy Noel:And so at the top of this TikTok, it read like reading the Bible, prayer and fasting. So those are like the good things. And at the bottom of the TikTok, it said like zodiac signs and tarot cards, serving at a local church practicing yoga she pointed to the yoga and she goes this one's out and people were saying that's actually like very racist because yoga is like a spiritual practice that is rooted in Indian culture and rhetoric like this like it being quote-unquote out supports xenophobic attacks and hate hatred against other cultures right yeah because she basically said like it's anti-christian because it's rooted in Hinduism right it's like why is Christian, the only religion that's.
1:10:52Yeah, it's not anti-Christian to partake in something that might be rooted in another. That's like saying it's anti-Christian to eat bagels because they're Jewish or it's anti-Christian to go to a bodega. I'm using all these New York references. Go to a bodega run by Muslims. That is not anti-Christian. Right. That, if anything, is I feel like a Christian thing to do is because we're all made in the image of God as Christians believe. You're not like it's not like a competition of religions. Like we all have our own religions. That's beautiful. Like we are all human beings. Like it's just so fucking crazy and like xenophobic.
1:11:30Christy Noel:It's xenophobic. And it's it's it's almost rage baby. It's like, you know what you're doing when you're when you're writing stuff like that. She doesn't care because she is exalting herself as this like the pinnacle of like christian faith and the people that are as insane as her follow this and attach themselves onto her and she's just collecting even more followers that are so extreme like her that she doesn't give a fuck who she's offending and it's dangerous quite honestly it's like she is i mean if she's not already red-pilled she is very close to being red-pilled like she is extremely it's it's giving like white supremacy right and in one of the comments when people called her out on it they're like why are you saying yoga is not in quote-unquote and she said yoga is anti-Christian because, yeah, it's rooted in Hinduism.
1:12:13Christy Noel:Like she said that herself. She literally said like if it's rooted in another religion, that's anti-Christian. Like what the fuck are you talking about? Right. Her and Grant also constantly preach about the husband and wife role in a marriage. And obviously it's sexist and patriarchal teaching centered around wives practicing submission to their husbands. They must respect, surrender and support their husband's leadership, which is just you not having a voice basically in their world. And it's hypocritical, quite honestly. The churches that they belong to and speak to are filled with molesters, literally.
1:12:47Christy Noel:So Grant works as a young adult pastor at the Harris Creek Baptist Church in Waco, Texas. And it's a Southern Baptist culture with a conservative stance on gender and sexuality. But interestingly enough, in July 2025, so this month, a man from their ministry program was arrested for child pornography possession. It's always that way, right? You don't protest too much and then you're arrested for child pornography. Like you're a sick fucking freak. Yeah. The Watermark Community Church in Dallas, Grant graduated from this Watermark Institute and works as a youth ministry leader there as well. And it's a non-denominational evangelical megachurch.
1:13:23Christy Noel:And this year, Watermark said it knowingly employed a registered child sex offender named Chuck Adair. And they restricted him. They just restricted him from working with the minor children. Oh, OK. Well, that's fine then. So, you know, as long as that's there, then he can be around the premise. Yeah. That makes sense. This particular church is also known for its program called Re-Generation Recovery, a 12-step Christ-centered recovery program that is devoted to helping people find freedom from all struggles, including anxiety and depression, pornography, fear control, substance abuse, codependency, sexual abuse, same-sex attraction, not orientation, same-sex attraction.
1:14:06Christy Noel:God. It's literally like conversion therapy. It's conversion therapy. Eating disorders, body image, anger, obsessive thoughts, as well as multiple other struggles. And in 2016, Watermark removed a formerly gay member after he ceased desiring to turn from sin. Quote, a process that the church defended as loving correction. Yeah, so it's literal conversion therapy. So fucked and disgusting. Horrifying. They, of course, which comes as zero surprise, they're billionaires from Texas and are really Christian. They have some MAGA connections. not only did they vote for Trump, but they like attend a lot of his rallies.
1:14:38Christy Noel:So in 2023, Grant and Maddie attended a Trump pre-election event in Dallas. And Maddie's mom posted a pic of them from the rally, but she photoshopped the Trump lanyards out of her Instagram post. But on Facebook, the legitimate picture was still up. So she's like ashamed. So funny. But on like certain avenues. Also, I can't with Grant's like hair and face. He just looks so young. He's so off-putting. No, I agree. He just gives me the willies. This past election year in 24, Maddie posted an IG story urging voters to vote for policies and not for the person because, quote, religion is at stake here if the wrong candidate wins.
1:15:17Christy Noel:She emphasizes how, quote, God's design for family, marriage and children will be impacted. And interestingly enough, that same friend that I had years ago who said she was going to divorce her husband because he was watching porn. during the election she posted to her close friends that I was on saying we need like she had a MAGA hat on and she wrote Trump is adhering and saving Christian values they must be part of the same little church or something I don't know like it's again I'm not even trying to just like if you voted for Trump I'm not trying to hate on you it's more so just like being so outward about how he's upholding certain values which yeah I'm struggling to understand how that is true yeah um yeah like help us understand and also like the i feel like they also use the term like judeo-christian values a lot and i'm just like not no like don't don't bring me into this what do you mean judeo like i get what they're saying like western values it's very rooted in like white supremacy yes yes it is and it's also kind of calls into question well what about women's rights.
1:16:25Christy Noel:That's right. I feel like Jesus would have something to say about loving all humans, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation. What about Christian immigrants who are getting chased out of this country and arrested? It's just it's so crazy. Again, cherry picking. That's what she does best. Yeah. Grant's dad is a Republican mega donor. He gave 500K to a GOP super PAC. So as if we needed more confirmation. Yeah, which is like, of course he did. I mean, in fact, if he didn't, I'd be shocked. I'd be shocked if they endorse Bernie Sanders, you know? I mean, no, the world would be flat if that were the case.
1:17:00Christy Noel:Like, we would be on a different atmosphere or stratosphere. That about ends it as it pertains to a girl, Maddie Pruitt. She is a, in closing, it's crazy because I feel like she was able to kind of water down her hyper Christian beliefs. We kind of just knew she was a virgin, which has not been, she's not been the only virgin, I think, on The Bachelor history. Like that's a storyline. Yeah. It's like, okay, who cares? Okay, cool. But ever since then, she's really been able to market herself into this like different person. I think it's like a branding thing. Like again, like I think that she's a smart businesswoman.
1:17:38And that is why so many people become, you know, really red pilled on the internet. And this is like kind of like a, I think that would fall under that category a little bit. Like I do think that she is genuinely really, really, really extremely Christian, obviously, and believes a lot of this stuff. But then I think some of it is, like we said, kind of rage baby. She knows it brings in the dollars to say really extreme things like doing yoga as anti-Christian.
1:18:06Christy Noel:Yeah. And that's what I – I have no doubt she has these thoughts and she's like super white supremacy. But at the same time, it's like the things that you post are so egregious. You know what you are doing. and it has to be a little bit for clicks and views. Again, I think she fully believes these thoughts. She's putting them on the internet so blatantly because she wants clicks. It's more money in her pocket. So every time you guys go to her YouTube, unfortunately, I was part of this because I was researching for the episode. I was on this damn flight, 2X, listening to them. And I was so embarrassed, Sophie, because I had, you know, on YouTube, you have the faces and people are reporting the plane.
1:18:39Christy Noel:I'm like, I hope people don't think I'm watching this for recreational purposes. Like earnestly. Yeah, I was so embarrassed. I like had to put it down. but I was listening to them and I'm like, the things that you were saying are so egregious and so wrong. Again, I know you believe them, but it's one thing to believe them. I think plenty of fucked up things in my head, right? I'm not saying them all the time. It's like intrusive thoughts. You don't need to say intrusive thoughts every single time. Things can be left just to your own imagination or brain, but she purposely puts it out to enrage people, to put more money in her already billionaire pocket.
1:19:12My God, she is genuine. I mean, they both are. They're genuinely terrifying. to me, honestly. Like, I knew they were scary, but like, I feel like after this episode, I'm like, way more scared of them.
1:19:24Christy Noel:You should be, to be clear. Oh my god. Crazy. Crazy, crazy, crazy, you guys. Just reiterating that we are not anti-being religious. It's just when it goes to this extent. Absolutely. Do you? I mean, I love you regardless if you're freaking, you know, you practice Hinduism, Buddhism, you're Christian. I don't give a shit. Like be a good fucking person. But when you use your religion to weaponize against other people and subsequently cherry pick the scripture that you want to believe in when it fits your narrative and more money in your pocket, that's where I draw the line. Simple as that. Yeah, exactly.
1:20:05Oh, good.

1:20:42Christy Noel:Bye guys. Bye.
1:20:58Nothing makes you appreciate good bedding more than a hot August night. Having something that's lightweight, breathable, cool, and easy to sleep in no matter how hot it gets is so freaking important. That's why I love Quince. It's my go-to for bedding for so long now with high-quality materials like 100 % European linen and organic cotton. You can feel the difference, you guys. It feels like you're in a hotel bed, okay? Quince has everything you need to give your bed the biggest upgrade, from breathable sheets to linen shams and duvet covers and soft seasonal colors, stripes, timeless neutrals, you name it.
1:21:32My absolute favorite is their 100 % organic cotton percale sheets and duvet cover. The material is so crisp and comfy. And when nights start to get cooler this fall, there are lightweight quilts and coverlets at the perfect finishing layer, adding warmth, texture, coziness to your bed as we go into fall and winter. And in case you need a reminder, everything at Quince is 50 to 80 % less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical manufacturers and cut out the middleman. So you're paying for quality materials without the luxury markup. Upgrade your every day. Download the Quince app for app-exclusive offers or go to quince.com slash snarkbait to get free shipping on your order and 365-day returns.
1:22:13Now available in Canada and the UK, too. That's quince.com slash snarkbait. As a lifelong renter who's probably going to be renting for the rest of my life at this point, it's hard for me to justify splurging on custom furniture or, like, chic, expensive vintage home finds when I know this isn't my forever home. That's what Wayfair is for. Because even though renting makes me less enthusiastic about spending money on furniture and home decor, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated. Duh. I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now, long before they were a sponsor.
1:22:49From an armoire in our second bedroom to a randomly extremely chic wicker laundry basket that I'm literally obsessed with, Wayfair makes quality pieces that stand up to real life without breaking the bank. Budget-friendly but chic finds make all the difference in your space, in my opinion. Whether you're a renter like me or an actual homeowner, which don't rub it in, you can even see real customer feedback and photos before you buy, so you can shop with confidence. And with Wayfair Awards, you can get 5 % back on every purchase, helping you get even more value from your Wayfair purchases and create a home you love without overspending.
1:23:22Join Wayfair Awards today to get 5 % back on every purchase and start saving on your next home upgrade. Head to Wayfair.com to shop all things home. That's W-A-Y-F-A-I-R dot com. Wayfair. Every style, every home. Wayfair. Every style, every home. I've been a diehard TaskRabbit stan long before they were a sponsor. I cannot remember the last time I moved without enlisting a Tasker, whether it was for assembling furniture, mounting a TV, hanging artwork. The list goes on. And it's not just during a move when your to-do list can feel like it's 10 pages long. Sometimes I really just need an extra hand for those little things I feel like I never end up getting around to myself, like finally hanging the wedding photos I promised myself and Henry that I do for months now.
1:24:08Wherever you are, TaskRabbit is there to help. TaskRabbit connects you with skilled taskers in your area for moving, furniture, assembly, home repairs, yard work, mounting, and more. You can search for a tasker based on cost, skillset, availability, and past client reviews so you know exactly who's showing up and can have confidence that they know what they're doing. It's okay to ask for help with your to-do list, you guys. In fact, it's the most efficient way to get things done, in my humble opinion. When life happens, your to-do list grows. Get ahead of it now and get$15 off your first task at TaskRabbit.com or on the TaskRabbit app using promo code SNARK.
1:24:45Taskers book up fast, especially for same-day tasks, so book trusted home help today. That's$15 off your first task using promo code SNARK with the TaskRabbit app or at TaskRabbit.com. This episode is brought to you by ChatGPT. Hey, it's Bill Simmons from the Bill Simmons Podcast. Have you guys heard about ChatGPT work? It's the new way to use ChatGPT for bigger multi-step projects. And when you need more than just answers, give ChatGPT work access to your apps and files, and it can create real work documents like spreadsheets, slides, and structured reports. Get started at ChatGPT.com by selecting work mode available on Plus and Pro Plans.
1:25:27Hey, it's Ryan Reynolds here for Mint Mobile. Now, I was looking for fun ways to tell you that Mint's offer of unlimited premium wireless for$15 a month is back. So I thought it would be fun if we made$15 bills. But it turns out that's very illegal. So there goes my big idea for the commercial. Give it a try at mintmobile.com slash switch. Upfront payment of$45 for three months,$90 for six months, or$180 for 12-month plan required. $15 per month equivalent. Taxes and fees extra. Initial plan term only. Greater than 50 gigabytes may slow when network is busy. C-terms.
