In short

A critical recap of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid, focusing on her controlling parenting style, controversial on-camera remarks, and disputed health claims tied to Lyme disease and Munchausen allegations.

Guest backgrounds

The episode is hosted by Christy and Sophie (podcast hosts discussing Bravo/Housewives history and “Snarkbait” commentary). No other guests are interviewed in the provided transcript.

Key claims

Yolanda is portrayed as a “stage mom”/“almond mom” who micromanages Gigi and Bella’s careers and appearances, possibly living vicariously through them. The hosts argue she exaggerates health issues (Lyme disease) and that rumors connect her claims to financial incentives (prenup-related). They also claim her language and comments were often offensive or insensitive (e.g., sexuality as a choice; “learn English”; “make her eyes look less Chinese”).

Notable examples

“Two almonds” advice; Gigi’s “eyes look less hooded/less Chinese” comment to a makeup artist; Andy Cohen correction about sexuality; blog/tweets about Erin Foster’s sexuality; the “Amalfi Coast is a chore” remark; Bella Hadid’s DUI and Yolanda’s viral letter; Yolanda’s lemon cleanse/clear-produce fridge; her 2000 divorce settlement details; Gigi’s child-model discovery and both daughters’ IMG signing at 17.

1:43Hey, everybody. Welcome back to another episode of Snarkbait. I'm Christy. I'm Sophie. How are you? I am good. we're recording on Thursday July 30th and where did the time go what just before we were recording Sophie and I were ideating you know business tings yeah and Sophie was every day of my life is the busiest day of my life I'm like no no like I'm not trying to sound like we're so busy it is so fucking busy wait it so Christy and I don't even want to put this out into the ether because everyone's going to be like, yeah, do it. But Christy was like, what if we added an episode? And I was like, I can't right now.

2:27No, I know. Every day is so fucking busy. I had like, you know, we already recorded an episode this morning. I had like seven like appointments and shit to run to. I had to take back sort of daycare because I was like out. And then I was also trying to like work and like be online with my full time job. I was like, we can't. I can't right now. I really can't. I know. I know you guys would love that. But if you do want more and you're not a patron, don't forget, we have bonus episodes over on Patreon every single week. But Christy was saying to add an episode in addition to that. And I said, nope, I shut her down.

3:04Every day is the busiest day of my life. No, literally. Like I just I actually was telling my therapist earlier this week. He was like, you know what? Chaim. My therapist, Chaim. He was like, you know what, Sophie? I think you just need like a day where you lay on the couch because you have not had that in a really long time. No. You've just been go, go, go. I thought it would get easier. I just went on fucking vacation two weeks ago.

3:35Dude, that's the one thing I really need though, for real. I need the proper proper vacay. Yeah, you really proper. You do need a proper vacay. I think you should definitely book that. Also, you're back in your apartment, right? Or your house, your house, your house. This ain't my house. This is my mom's. Oh, my God. Wait, her fireplace looks like yours. Nance, I got the fireplace. We've done this is not mine. Oh, OK. Never mind. I said your apartment, your house. And you're like, no, no, I don't know. You guys, So clearly it's been a day, but I'm very excited for this episode. Yeah. We have done Housewives.

4:18We've done Bravo Leopardy's before. We've done Lisa Vanderpump. I'm trying. Am I missing a housewife that we've done? Or is that our only housewife that we've done? Do you know what? We're due for a Bethany Frankel episode. Yes. But Vanderpump, I think you guys keep us on. Sometimes I'll be like, did we do an episode on this person? Because I just forget now. I think Vanderpump. Yeah, because we've done so many. Yeah, we've definitely done Vanderpump. And any other Housewives, let us know if we're forgetting. We've done, you know, obviously a bunch of Bravo liberties, Craig, Shep, Jax, Stassi, Sheena.

4:53Let us know, you guys. Are we missing any? Who else do you want to hear from the Bravos here? But today we are doing the one and only Yolanda Hadid. Christy, I know that you, like me, are a Beverly Hills historian. And actually, you are more so because you've actually watched the most recent seasons, whereas I kind of like gave up because it got so boring. Yeah, that's what I've heard. But what are your thoughts on Yolanda? You know, Yolanda was always my introduction to her. And the first time she really ever graced our TV screens was when she demanded that her I think that her like Latin construction workers or someone.

5:33She was like, you need to learn English. Yep. And it was like, dude, like, I remember just being so appalled by her behavior. And I get from her point of view, she's like, well, I'm an immigrant. I learned English, you know, because I, but it's like, just because you did, people are trying, out here trying. Like, they moved to a new country and they're trying to learn, like, would you give it a break? I just didn't like that. And then, of course, the two almonds, eat them slowly, baby. And chew them very well. And can you make her eyes look less hooded? She looks too Chinese. you guys like I kind of she's been off our screens for a while I think her last season was season six and and that was the famous manchowsen season which we will discuss obviously but she's been off our screens for so long and I don't really think about her a lot and doing like the research for this episode she is so much more problematic than I think I remembered or ever realized.

6:33And we will get into why. So I guess let's just jump in. Yolanda was born Yolanda van den Herrick. I'm probably not pronouncing that right. In Papendrecht, Netherlands in 1964, January 1964. So she is 62. She is a U.S. citizen as of May 23rd, 2013. And she moved to New York at age 16. She signed with Elite Model Management. She has been a model for quite some time. We will obviously discuss her modeling journey as well as her daughter's modeling journeys that she likes to puppeteer. But her father actually died in a car accident when she was seven years old. I didn't know that. Or I forgot. Yeah, I didn't realize that either.

7:18And I think that might be why she got so triggered, obviously, when Bella Hadid had her DUI arrest and had her issue and wrote that long letter, which we will obviously talk about. And so she grew up with a single mom. And also TBT to when she was Yolanda Foster. Oh, my. Like, I forgot that she was Yolanda Foster, honestly. Never forget when he would be playing the piano with all of his Grammys. And he made everyone be—he shushed everyone. He made everyone be silent while he played at them. No, oh, my God. Like, I'm sorry. Beverly Hills used to be such an iconic franchise. no i'm sorry those are the glory years early beverly hills i always say that early beverly hills probably my favorite um housewives franchise andrea bocelli andrea bocelli season six i actually started watching season six because of this again and only got into you know one episode but uh that was a really really really strong season like honestly every early season of Beverly Hills was extremely entertaining.

8:33Has so many quotable iconic moments. But Yolanda grew up having a strong connection to horses. She was sent to Pony Kemp the summer after her dad passed away and her mom ended up buying a horse for her. And she had big dreams of becoming a professional equestrian. She worked odd jobs as a teen. She worked at a Chinese restaurant, then a grocery store, and she basically wanted to save up to become an equestrian. And she actually identified as a quote unquote barn girl. I don't know if that got lost in translation, like horse girl to barn girl, but maybe it's like a Dutch thing. She calls herself a barn girl.

9:09Yeah. Maybe it's a Dutch thing. So, um, she was discovered by Eileen Ford of Ford Models and signed a contract. And, um, it was kind of like an incidental run-in. she was at a fashion show and she was asked at the 11th hour to replace one of the models who whatever reason couldn't model in the fashion show. And she said, I was asked, she was doing a hair style for her friend. And once I got there, I was asked by the top Dutch designer, Frans Molinar, to replace one of his models and do his runway show. So there I was straight from barn onto the catwalk. Straight from the barn to the catwalk, rags to riches, barn to catwalk.

9:57I had never even worn makeup or high heels or done anything so feminine or seen anything so fancy. But I guess I was a natural. I feel like also when watching Beverly Hills, she really is a stunning woman. Like she is, she's a very pretty lady. Yeah. She is gorgeous. She is. And it's just, she's just so awful. like I hate it because she's so pretty but she is like all of the throwback photos like Gigi and Bella always post throwback photos of her and it's like she was always so fucking stunning she was but she never was like the top model it girl of her time like she really wasn't and that's why I think she has this compulsive desire to you know control Bella and Gigi's career so carefully and to make sure that they are as successful as they are.

10:50They are incredibly successful. And I think that that is by no accident. I think that Yolanda lives vicariously through them because she never really like peaked as a model, you know? She's a definition of a stage mom. And I always felt from watching Yolanda on Beverly Hills thinking, my God, for as crazy a childhood as I know people have a lot of thoughts on Bella and I'm not even going to get into that. But I think just when it comes to them, too, and how they've grown up, if you guys know anything about their father, he is like one of the wealthiest men to ever grace our TVs from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

11:25And that's saying a lot because the women on that show have legitimate money. Yes. Yeah. We could do a whole episode on him. And his, like, scandals also. Yeah. He's no angel either, sweetheart. He really is not. But when we think about the Housewives franchise, like when I think about Orange County, even like the New York Next Gen or whatever, they're not like upper echelon people. And I feel like with Beverly Hills, the people on that show legitimately have money. Not all of them. But like Kyle Richards is genuinely wealthy. Yeah. I mean, now she is. The early season she wasn't. But like Lisa Vanderpump and like Camille Grammer and Adrian Maloof.

12:03Adrian Maloof and Camille Grammer. Season one of Beverly Hills. Like that is what always kind of set Beverly Hills apart from the other Housewives franchises. Like you look at like, I don't know. OC is a perfect example. I'm like. Orange County. Yeah. I don't care about Tamara's house in freaking San Juan Capistrano. Like I really don't. Please. Orange County and like Potomac. It's like a totally different. Like it really, really, really. Even like New York. Even Roni. Like the Beverly Hills women have always been on a different level. And I think that, like you said, Muhammad Hadid, one of the wealthiest people to ever, you know, I mean, he wasn't he was on Beverly Hills just as like a cameo here and there.

12:46But they were married at the time. But Gigi and Bella grew up incredibly, incredibly, incredibly, like wealthier than you could even imagine. I think it's underrated how wealthy they grew up. Correct. Because if you didn't watch a show, you don't appreciate or understand. Yes. Yes. And I feel like also people are like, they're not really, you know, like their mom's a real housewife. Like, what's the big deal? You know, it's not like they came from like a Hollywood director or like whatever. It's like a real housewife. People don't take it seriously. It's like, no, you guys don't understand how wealthy they were.

13:16Yeah. I remember Bella Hadid had a quote once where she was like, I didn't get my first pair of Louboutins until I was in high school. Okay. Like trying to be relatable. And it's like your first pair of Louboutins in high school, you poor thing. Right, right, right. Right. And I do think that the girls, if I compare them honestly to Kylie and Kendall, they seem far more well-adjusted and polite than Kylie and Kendall. I agree. They're just like horse girls. Like, they're just like, you know, down to earth. They act like they're like small town, like country girls, you know, when they go to the farm in Pennsylvania.

13:48Right, right. I don't know. They have this humility to them that you wouldn't expect for someone of their pedigree, so to speak, is what I'll say. Yeah. And we will get to their modeling career in a bit. But back to Yolanda, when she was discovered, she became a jet-setting model going from Paris to Milan to Sydney to Cape Town to Tokyo, et cetera, et cetera. She really never went back to Holland after that. Her career just took off and then there she was. She says her childhood was quickly over when she got discovered. and she is rumored to have been an OG yacht girl before becoming big, which is, as you guys know from listening to this podcast or listening to, you know, Beyond the Blinds or whatever it is, this is a common trajectory for up-and-coming models.

14:39We talk about, you know, Nina Dobrev and, you know, rumors of Alex Earle and, you know, there are many such cases. Right. Do you believe this? a hundred percent i i think that i was gonna say it takes one to know one not that i am but not that i can ever be i meant like people have said that for years about gg and bella too and it's like well it takes you know for them to do it they may be a bit more influenced by their mother to your point she was the definition of a stage mom pushing them into the career that they are who's to say she wasn't pushing them into the career of becoming yacht girls but far more pervert than Nina Vobrev, for example.

15:18Totally. And we see how Yolanda is with her daughters and pushing them to become successful. And Bella has said she got a nose job at age 14. It would not be out of the realm of possibility of Yolanda saying, it'll be good for your career, girls. In fact, Yolanda probably was one urging her to get it. Oh, I have no doubt. Yeah. Yeah. I have zero doubt. So Yolanda modeled for about 15 years before she settled down to start a family in Los Angeles. And this is when she met Mohamed Hadid, a real estate developer, and they have three kids together, Gigi, Bella, and Anwar. Anwar? Anwar. She says, I met Mohamed, fell in love, got engaged, got married, and inherited two stepdaughters, Marielle and Alana.

16:04Gigi was born April 1994. Bella came on October 1995. And our prince, Anwar arrived on June 22, 1999. She says, I broke my back at Anwar's birth and I had a tough time recovering from a triple fusion and a terrible bout of depression. Which we will circle back to this also, which sounds very, very, very terrifying and scary and real. But if you know anything about Yolanda, her health and what she's claimed to have, and this is not us making speculation. It was a storyline on the show. If you have not watched Beverly Hills, she has been known to decorate the truth like a lot. And people have questioned her claims about her pertaining to her health.

16:45Yes. And there are rumors. Again, we will. I keep saying that. We'll get to that. We'll get to that. But like, there's just so much, you guys. Yeah. There are rumors that Yolanda has exaggerated. I mean, obviously, there's a story of Leanne and Beverly Hills. Why is she exaggerating her health issues? I think it's it's kind of a fact that she does exaggerate, but there are rumors that she has exaggerated her health issues because of her prenups. And her prenups say if she gets sick, then she gets more money than what is originally in the prenup. So again, that is just another layer there. We will dive deeper into that.

17:26But she divorced Muhammad in 2000 and moved to Montecito in 2001 to start a new life as a single mom. And when Yolanda divorced Muhammad, court documents revealed that she received a settlement that included a$6 million house in Malibu, a mansion in Santa Barbara, several cars, including her Escalade and Range Rover, sole ownership of her design business, Hadid Interiors, an Arabian horse, and$30 ,000 in monthly child support. The settlement also included a lump sum fee of$3.6 million in cash. She also was reportedly getting$10 ,000 a month in spousal support. So not including the child support until she married David Foster.

18:05Okay. These numbers today in 2026 are astronomical. The fact that all this was in 2000. Yep. Like double at minimum. The fact that she was getting 10 ,000 a month in spousal support alone is insane. Yeah. And then 30 ,000 in child support. So that's$40 ,000 a month plus all of these lump fees, plus the houses, plus the cars, plus the Arabian horse. Don't forget the Arabian horse. This is what a life. Like, it kind of reminds me of Sutton Strack now. I was going to say, Sutton has my dream job. Yeah. Getting$300 ,000 a month in spousal support. No, I know. What are you, don't act like the Queen of Sheba.

18:42You live on a fucking dirt road or main road, baby. Like, that's literally my dream job. Me too. So she ended up getting back into her barn passions. She loves calling herself a barn girl, like I said, and taught her kids how to take care of horses. And we see this today with Gigi and Bella. They are horse girls through and through. So she joined the Real Houses of Beverly Hills from 2012 to 2016, four seasons. So that would be, she came on in season three, I believe. Three, four, five, six. Yeah. One of the original, like not original, original, but like one of the earliest ones. And she, my dream team.

19:19My team, the dream team. Yeah. My favorite Yolanda quote is, who is Adrian Malouf in this world? When they were sitting by her lemons that she claimed caused the tics that bit her, that caused her to have Lyme disease or something. Was it the lemons that she said gave her tics? Okay, I may be just making that up. I don't know. She was obsessed with lemon cleanses, and she obviously had this huge clear fridge that went viral with all this fresh produce. Like, she is not a normal human being, you guys, obviously. Her salary for the show was reportedly around$100K per season. Obviously, it increases every season, but I think that was her starting salary, and then it probably went up from there.

20:02And after she left Beverly Hills, she said it took a massive toll on her mental health. There was a lot of drama and a lot of speculation about her health, and the word Manchhausen is thrown around, of course. Her memoir, Believe Me, My Battle with the Invisible Disability of Lyme Disease, was published in 2017. It covers her Lyme diagnosis, the experimental treatments she pursued, and her marriage to David Foster. Um, she has a massive real estate portfolio, as we know, to no one's surprise. Um, she has a, uh, Malibu compound that she ended up selling. Now her main house is that farm in Pennsylvania.

20:45Yeah. I feel like whenever, whenever when Zane and Gigi had their child, I feel like Zane was always spotted, like petting a horse on his Instagram. Yeah. Yeah, they're always like at that farm with like the horses. And it's funny because my in-laws live in like the Philly suburbs. And there's like a lot of, I'm always just like amazed by how much land there is in the Philly suburbs. Like from where I'm from in Cincinnati, it's kind of like compact. Like the suburbs are very, it's not so much as sprawling as the Philly suburbs, you know. But we're always driving around. They're like horses and hills and, you know, farms and stuff like that.

21:23and I always think about Yolanda's farm. I'm like, where is it? Like, I'm gonna, I'm sure I can find it online if I like dig enough and I'm like really in a creepy mood and drive past it. Just not to do anything nefarious or like stop her, but just because I'm curious. No, I mean, that's what I did with the JonBenét Ramsey house. I like, when I was in Denver, I like went to, and we, yeah, like I went to go visit the house because I was curious.

25:55So, she actually right now, even though she still has that Pennsylvania farm, barn, whatever you want to call it, she currently lives in Fort Worth with her current fiance. Wasn't she like off and on with him kind of, or maybe I'm honestly confusing. It is confusing, but she had a fiance that she broke up with or they ended their engagement. And then a year later, she was engaged to this new guy. Gotcha. So it seems like she moved to Texas for him, but she still has the Pennsylvania farm. Thank God. So many memories there, you know? Right. No, totally. Okay. So let's talk about her notable Beverly Hills moments.

26:35Uh, what about, and I don't remember this. Do you remember this? When she called sexuality a choice and after Andy corrects her, she said, well, that's debatable. Yeah. She, the thing is, if you guys watch the show, you're like, that's not shocking at all. But like hearing that, if I were just an objective person who, who had a life who didn't watch the show, like we do and consume it, I'd be like, this is, this woman is insane. Like what is her deal? She's literally insane. And I feel like it always got kind of brushed under the rug because people are like, you know, it's probably getting lost in translation, you know, like she's she doesn't really know what she's saying.

27:14And it's like, yeah, she does. She is very much fluent in English. Like, come on. She used the example of we had one child who went back and forth referencing a daughter who she claimed explored a same sex relationship before returning to dating men. And apparently she was referring to Aaron Foster, who dated Samantha Ronson and is now married to a man. And that's one of David Foster's daughters. And she got a ton of backlash for this, obviously. And she ended up writing a blog. Remember when Bravo had, like, the blogs? Yes. Every housewife would have to write, like, their nightly blog every day.

27:50Like, the episode would air. It was, like, their version of Instagram before Instagram was Instagram. Yeah, exactly. It was— Yeah. That's what it was. Exactly. Now, if they want to address something, they just use Instagram, obviously. She claimed her words are misunderstood to do a language barrier. Again, like, she speaks fluent English. But she also tweeted saying that she believed in freedom of choice because her daughter had been in a beautiful gay relationship. Whose daughter? Erin Foster, I think. Oh, Erin Foster. Okay, okay. I know. I was like, wait, Gigi? Remember when she thought Gigi was going to be a lesbian because she, like, played volleyball?

28:23Of course. I remember exactly that scene. they were in the kitchen. She's like, I don't know. She's going to start dating women. Yeah. She plays volleyball. So we often saw her on photo shoots with her daughters, Gigi and Bella. You know, her gorgeous supermodel daughters. She is such a frickin puppet master, stage, stage mom, momager, whatever you want to call her. She is incredibly, I feel like that's like the biggest through line when it comes to everything Yolanda does is that she needs to be in control. Yes. Like she is obsessed with control, whether it's controlling her daughters, like controlling the storyline in Beverly Hills.

29:12Yeah. Controlling, you know, the public perception of her health, whatever it is. Like she is just, I feel like a control freak. and never forget during a photo shoot Yolanda pulled Gigi's makeup artist aside and asked her to round out the eyeshadow saying the current look made Gigi look Chinese I completely remember that like that was and like she's being so I guess this was more of a different time this was probably 2012 but even back then it's like oh my god you shouldn't be saying that we talk a lot about Absolutely. Yeah, even like seven years ago, the way that we talked about things are very different.

29:49But still, there's right and wrong. And it's not that, okay, Gigi's eyes look Chinese. I guess maybe objectively, yes, because they looked more slanted or almond-shaped. But it's like basically what you're saying is you're insinuating that's like a bad thing. That's about it. Like it's unattractive. So it's like fine if you're like, oh, you have this like Asian look to your eyes today. Like that in and of itself, I guess, is not necessarily a problematic statement if you're just making a factual claim. But if you're just saying that, insinuating that it's a negative attribute to have, then it makes you basically insinuating that you find Asian people or Chinese people unattractive.

30:22Right. So, I mean, she just is offensive all the time. This is like one of five million things. Yeah, yeah, exactly. Yeah, you're so right. It's like saying, like, even if she did objectively look in any way Chinese, which I'm sure she didn't. I don't remember exactly what Gigi looked like on this photo shoot. For her to say, make her look less like that. Right. Less Chinese. Like, what are you even saying? Right. And then, again, when she was worried about Gigi becoming a lesbian, when she liked to wear sports jerseys to school and play volleyball. Which, by the way, volleyball isn't even, like, a masculine sport.

30:59It's not like she was playing, like, softball or, like, you know how softball is, like, the stereotypical, like, lesbian sport? Yes. Like it's always like, like big Bertha play softball. Like that was always a joke. Or like softball or like rugby or something. Yeah, yeah. She was playing volleyball. It's like a very feminine sport. I know, 100%. I'm like volleyball. I feel like the volleyball girls at my high school were always hot because they were tall and they were like the little booty shorts and guys would like to give us so. Yeah, the little booty shorts and they always had like really great legs.

31:27Yeah, yeah. Like nothing about that sport appears like masculine or like non-feminine. Yeah. Right, exactly. And then, again, we touched on this. When she told some of the guys who were moving furniture into the house that she was decorating that they needed to learn English, and she reprimanded them on camera, telling them that because they lived in America, they needed to learn the language. So, obviously, incredibly offensive. I know, and you could tell they were just kind of like dumbfounded. Like, how are we supposed to respond to this? like kind of just looked at each other like okay yeah and then remember when she said going to the Amalfi Coast was a chore I'm like vaguely picking that up I I saw the clip the other day and I meant to send it to you and I like could not oh I think it's right here actually um she says so you know we do you know the Amalfi Coast I mean that whole thing every summer and it like it gets old you know it becomes such a it becomes a job like are you fucking kidding me it's so obnoxious yeah and it's like okay I understand and this I can understand like yeah traveling in and of itself is objectively exhausting but when you're outwardly complete like maybe you can think that in your head okay maybe what you're saying is if you have to go down the off the coast every every fucking month okay yeah that gets exhausting but don't say it like that it's out of touch also like obviously we follow we don't watch the housewives for them to be relatable you know like we watch the house because they say completely out of touch stuff like this but it is just funny because it's like the amalfi coast is objectively the most beautiful place i mean it depends who you ask obviously but it's like one of the most beautiful places in the entire world it's like a once in a lifetime luxury trip for 99.9 % of the world.

33:20And for her to say, it becomes a chore. Like, she is so funny. Definition of privilege and out of touch. But I think even back then, we weren't as like, we didn't consume it necessarily as rage bait. I think we almost like brushed it off. Like, I don't recall these types of comments and people being enraged by it. Like, if this were to have aired today, oh my. No, I think it's literally because we We watched the housewives. Of course, it was a different time. But we also were like kind of under the understanding that like we're watching how the other half lives, you know, like this is this is aspirational.

33:57It's voyeuristic. And I think now that our country is in I mean, you could argue that the country was in financial straits back in 2008 when the housewives were like when housewives were saying shit like this. I mean, whatever year she said this was not 2008 because Beverly Hills didn't premiere until, excuse me, sorry. Wait, why is it saying this 2025? That's not right. I know. October 2010. October 2010. Yeah. So, but you know what I mean? Like the economy was obviously bad then. And the economy now, I feel like it's because the wealth disparity gap is getting so massive in a way that it was obviously not an economist.

34:43OK, but like I feel like people are more sensitive to that now in 2026. You know what I mean? Eat the rich mentality. And I think, yes, it's less even about the voyeuristic things that we're seeing on TV and even more about the frustration we feel from our phones. Yes. It's like, why the hell is this random influencer who I know works a job that makes, I'm not saying 75, I'm just saying a number that in California would be hard to come by and take lavish vacations. Right. Why is she going to Nantucket and saying at the, whatever, you know, why is she going to Hawaii saying at the Four Seasons Maui and she's going on all these boats?

35:16Like, you're like, how does this make sense? And it makes you angry. Yes. I guess what I'm trying to say is that people are more disillusioned with the rich right now than they were back in 2010, 2012, whatever it is. Right. But she, like I said, kind of would blame her Dutch style candor or like European upbringing as a blanket excuse for her like insensitivity towards other cultures, which viewers picked up on and would criticize. But it's just funny because, like, all of these, like, offensive things that she has said on camera, just imagine what she's saying when cameras aren't rolling, you know?

35:57That's what makes me wonder, because if you're asking these Latin furniture movers why they don't speak English, if you're telling Gigi that her eyes look too Chinese, insinuating that that's a bad look, like, I can't even imagine what she's saying to her. Saying that being gay is a choice. Saying that being gay is a choice. Like, all these things compounded together. Okay, she's talking to peers like this, friends, people that work for her. Can you imagine how she speaks to Bella and Gigi? I don't even want to know. We go into this a little bit because her letter to Bella after she was arrested and she saw stuff in her car, she's, like, appalled by it.

36:36But it's like, this is why I keep saying, or why I said at the top of the episode, I am astounded at how quote unquote normal Bella and Gigi have seemed to be despite all the wealth, privilege and fame and the crazy ass mother that they had. Because if they turned out super fucked up, I'd be like, eh, I get it. Like, I feel badly for them because their mother seems like an absolute terror. A nightmare. Super critical, very controlling. It really is amazing how like, how, I don't know, they just seem very grounded despite all this. Yeah, I agree. I mean, they've had their moments. Bella gets a DUI at age 16.

37:16And that famous letter that Yolanda writes her went viral. Do you remember this letter? And again, I feel like this probably ties back to the fact that she lost her father in a car crash when she was younger. It's a trauma response. Yeah, totally. But what an eye-opening experience to find beer cans, pink kitty bottles with vodka, bottles with Adderall, Vyvan's rolling papers, and a car full of dirty clothes, dirty underwear with bloodstains, Tampax. I've honestly never seen anything like it. Was your life that terrible at home? I'm at a loss for words. You need to do some serious soul-searching, Bella, to see how you got where you are and then get on your knees and thank God for being alive.

38:01That actually reminds me of something my mom would say. My mom always says, hands and knees. Get on your hands and knees and thank God for your life. Whenever I complain about anything, I'm not allowed to complain. It's hands and knees. Hands and knees. Yeah, like it's well, at least she encourages gratitude, you know, like I don't know. Henry says it whenever I complain about anything. He's like hands and knees, just like your mom says. And I'm just like, oh, my God, I'm never allowed to complain ever. I love toxic positivity. I know. I love complaining, too. Like, I'm sorry. I'm going to complain.

38:31I always felt like watching Bella on screen. She was clearly like the black sheep, I felt. Or maybe that's how it was edited. No, it's not what the edit was. It's what it actually was. Because when you look back at it, like Gigi was always, they were both naturally beautiful. Gigi was like, had a perfect face from the moment she was born. And that's why she got quote unquote discovered at age two to be a child model. Like she has always been so, she's always looked like a cherub with like, just like the round, like she's always just been stunning and like blonde and tan. And meanwhile, you have Bella who grew up a little paler, dark hair.

39:11She was like the brunette. She had, you know, not the most naturally striking face, which is why she has had plastic surgery. And it's crazy because you can obviously make the argument. I don't even think it's an argument to be made. I think it's like

39:30in like the supermodel world. Correct. Yeah, 1 million percent. Like it's, I would almost even say in the supermodel world, yeah, Bella's more famous. And it wasn't always that way, but she looks like a completely different person. I'm sorry, I'm like scrolling different photos of them. And the way that her face has changed is just like, it's so significant. Yeah. And she, like I said, admitted that she got a nose job at age 14. She obviously denies everything else. just like everyone else does. Kendall, you know, they're all going to deny any other plastic surgery. But at age 14 is kind of wild, in my opinion.

40:12Like I know, look, like I'm Jewish. I know a lot of girls that got nose jobs growing up. Some of them would get them. Like I know a few that got them like after their bat mitzvahs. It's like a bat mitzvah present. But I always thought that was kind of too early because their faces aren't done developing. The more common time that I think most girls that I grew up with, obviously not every girl gets a nose job, but the ones I'm saying the ones that I do know that got nose jobs, got them like after high school, the summer between high school and college. Yeah. A lot of the, yeah, a lot of girls.

40:4714 is just really, really, really young for a nose job. I've never heard of that. Like, yeah, I know a couple of girls from my high school that got no jobs, but it was never at 14. It was like 17. Yeah. The ones I do know that got them like younger after their bat mitzvahs, they always ended up like having to get them revised later on because again, it's too young. Like your face isn't done developing yet. Yeah, dude. It's like getting on Invisalign to fix your teeth when you're like 10. It's like that's baby teeth. I don't know. Sorry. I don't know anything about when baby teeth leave, but like, you know what I mean?

41:19Same concept. I don't want to judge, you know, anyone's parenting. as I judge Yolanda's. But I would say that that is not the best parenting to encourage. Because you know that Yolanda was encouraging her to get a nose job at age 14. Well, not only was she, yeah, and not only did she encourage Bella at a young age to get her nose done, but also you look at Bella's face and how significantly it's changed, and you're like, who informed this? Yeah, Bella might have, but like, maybe it wasn't Yolanda saying, do this to your face and, you know, get the Fox lift or whatever it was. But you know that there was probably criticism in the household of how she looked that caused so much trauma on Bella that she realized that I need to do.

41:58Yes. I think it's a far more complex dynamic that they probably had that has resulted in Bella looking like this. Oh, 100%. I will say, though, that, like, the one parenting moment where I'm like, you know what, Yolanda? Is this letter after her DUI? It's like, wow, she was so mad and for good reason, you know? Yeah. You want to scare a 16-year-old who gets a DUI. You want to scare her straight. Never do that again, you know? Yeah. Other than that, very questionable parenting decisions, obviously. Speaking of which, you know, she made her daughters into the supermodels they are today, which is no accident.

42:37Like I said, I feel like she is living vicariously through them. She told Allure in 2014 that her daughters weren't allowed to work until 17. But again, she made Bella get a nose job at 14, so I don't know if I believe that. And also Gigi was a child model. So like, hmm. And they ended up signing with IMG at age 17.

43:04And it's funny, though, because like I said, Gigi was discovered by Paul Marciano, co-founder of Guess at age two and modeled for baby Guess before stopping for school. and again like she was so beautiful that she got quote unquote discovered and i know it's not like really discovered because it was because yolanda was also a model but still like she got discovered at age two yeah and uh they also were allegedly again this is just a rumor all alleged they were doing like the yachting stuff when they were teenagers according to internet rumors which you can choose to believe or not believe when they were younger.

43:47I know it's so dark. Yeah. Before becoming actual models. Not only is a drug, it's like really scary. Terrifying. Yeah. Terrifying. So again, Yolanda, I feel like people brush off the Nepo baby label sometimes when it comes to them because Yolanda was just a housewife or whatever. She had so much access in like the modeling world from however many years she was in the modeling world at this point for decades and decades. The Marciano relationship existed because of who Yolanda was. Being in guests at age two doesn't just happen, you know? Well, and I was also going to say, let us not forget, David Foster, when it comes to Hollywood, all roads lead back to David Foster and all the children and the families that he's been intertwined with.

44:34Like, we all know that the, I'm sure you know, because you and I are the same like we think the same that Gigi and Kendall are like basically sisters by step we're like broken marriages do you know about this wait with who so basically David Foster who's Gigi's stepfather was married to Rodney Jenner's yes I see what you're saying Gigi and Kendall I thought Gigi and Bella and I was like wait no they're full sisters yes yes like every road leads back to David Foster and that like any celebrity relationship you can or sorry any celebrity you can think of in Hollywood they have some very close relationship to David Foster it's like if you literally do a web he's at the center of it she was married to him for a very long time not a very long time but like six degrees of Kevin Bacon but it's David Foster yes like he is if she associated herself with him he knows everyone yeah so also that and Yolanda also was able to walk both daughters into the IMG doors and get them signed with IMG at age 17.

45:38And IMG is like the top modeling agency in the world. Like that doesn't just happen. And then also like the fact that she was on Beverly Hills showing their burgeoning modeling careers also helped them gain an audience. Like it really did. It's really crazy. Like I remember specifically my co-worker in 2014 at my first job she was like oh my god I saw Gigi Hadid and I was like who's Gigi Hadid and she was like you know the model who's on Beverly Hills her mom Yolanda I like that is how people kind of knew Gigi and Bella originally it was from yeah the access that the show gave I did yeah and I remember Rinna really wanted Delilah and Amelia to have that same thing and like i think amelia's really obviously come into her own now but like she will they will never be bella and gg everyone always calls them the not hadids the not hadids on like reddit they're like anyways the not hadids the not hadids um yeah we did do our rinna's daughters episode which is kind of like a housewife episode basically because it was essentially about rinna for the most part yeah and then obviously yolanda's like strict diet monitoring, an appearance commentary, all documented on camera, was her grooming her daughters to become the models that they are today.

47:00And, you know, again, like I feel like a lot of people are like, she created what she couldn't be, you know? Like she never really, she was a successful model. She made a living from it, but she was never like the It Girl supermodel like Gigi and Bella have turned into. No. Gigi and Bella, at this point, they have created a name for themselves where I feel like people can dissociate them from their parents. Like Kendall, I don't think so. Kendall will always have that Kardashian kind of like cloud over her when she walks into any room when she tries to close a deal. Yeah, she also doesn't have like, like I feel like Gigi and Bella literally are talented models and have charisma and good runway walks and, you know, presence.

47:44And Kendall's always just there, in my opinion. And I know that I'm biased because I really don't like Kendall. She's my least favorite Kardashian sister. But I've never thought that she's a good model. And I think a lot of people agree. I think that people think Kylie even has a better walk than her. Yeah, Kylie is a better, like Kylie, like when she does photo shoots, everyone's like, oh, she's eating Kendall up. Yeah. Kylie, like she has a, the thing is Kylie has star power. I think that's the fucking difference. Yeah. Kendall doesn't really have a star power. Oh my God. She's not like other girls, you know, she likes to ride horses.

48:16She's not like other girls. She's a tomboy. I forgot to mention, I had a dream last night that I was at the surf lodge in Montauk and I was with Kendall and Jacob Elordi. So. Did you see that they were, Just on a plane with Timothy and Kylie? Yes, going to MJ's funeral. And they took a private jet to San Diego. What? Yeah, they took a private jet to San Diego for the funeral. And they were there for, you know, two hours and then flew back. So. Wait, that's actually, that's fucked. Yeah, it's ridiculous. Okay, so, yeah, I feel like her trying to groom her daughters into the models that she couldn't be is why she seeks such control.

49:03Like it all comes back to this control thing, whether it's through Munchausen's or the Zane incident, which we will discuss. That is the through line is that she is just obsessed with control. And then of course, Yolanda, I think is the origin of the term almond mom, right? Yeah, I think so, too. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Absolutely. So it's the clip from Beverly Hills of Gigi telling her I'm feeling really weak. I had like half an almond. And Yolanda responds, have a couple of almonds and chew them really well. Instead of telling your daughter, eat a real meal. That's like so concerning. Yeah. We hear it enough in like media and like growing up reading magazines.

49:53Like you don't need to hear it from your own mother. Like this is so triggering and disordered. It's insane. Yeah. And it's also crazy because. Like, there are so many foods that you can eat that will not make you gain weight like you can eat healthy if you want your if you're obsessed with your daughters who also are like 16 at this point and have extremely fast metabolisms, however old they were at this time, they were incredibly young. if you want them to be skinny they're healthy foods you don't have to tell them to starve themselves yeah right right no she was encouraging anorexia honestly she was she was literally encouraging eating disorders yeah she was yeah and it's just there are so many examples of comments about Gigi's weight and appearances and again you look at Gigi and you're like this is the most stunning person alive like just naturally beautiful from earth and you have or from birth I mean and you have her mom criticizing her constantly.

50:55Yeah. It's like even Gigi Hadid isn't safe from an overbearing, toxic almond mom. No, in fact, it's in spite of her crazy, overbearing almond mom, she is as successful and normal, seemingly normal as she can be. Right. But it's so crazy. Like, I feel like we have, there are so many conversations to be had about beauty standards and the beauty standards that are thrust upon women from literally birth. Like, oh my God, I can call out so many examples right now of moms I know and girls I know who comments are made when they're still children about their appearances, about their hair texture or whatever it is.

51:42Yeah. And it's like we will never be free when women are that obsessed with how pretty their daughters are. Yeah. And this is why we think it's really weird when women want to be boy moms so badly. I mean, sorry, boy moms so badly. It's like, what are you trying to do here? Like, I don't know. I think that a lot of it comes. There's something there with women that want to be boy moms exclusively. Women that want to be boy moms and then women that are girl moms and that are like obsessed with how pretty their daughters are. Right. There are just so many things to be said about that. I think that there obviously is a psychological element to it, of course.

52:24But I feel like I just I've seen that firsthand. And the fact that like you can be the most beautiful person from the moment you exit the womb and you can still have your mother telling you you're not pretty or skinny enough. Right. Anyway, yeah. Remember when Yolanda wouldn't let Gigi eat cake at her going away party? Yeah. When Gigi's like, okay, I'll just cut a thin slice. She's like, no, no, baby. Half of that. No, actually half of that. She like literally cut it into like the already very thin slice. Gigi had cut herself. she cut it into like a fourth and was like here you can have this it was like barely a bite yep and she also like going back to the volleyball thing she was worried that gg would look manly not only be a lesbian but also look manly from playing volleyball because she didn't want them to be muscular or healthy she wanted them to be skinny yes like she didn't want them to be muscular which is crazy.

53:24Okay. So let's talk about the health of it all, which is obviously I feel like the crux of Yolanda's entire life is her health journey. And she claims that she developed Lyme disease from a tick bite, but she says that she, you know, had this tick bite before her symptoms emerged. And her symptoms included severe brain fog, exhaustion, joint pain, and headaches that left her bedridden for long periods. And she was diagnosed in late 2012 after an initial chronic fatigue diagnosis she didn't accept. And it is interesting that her symptoms are way more in line with chronic fatigue than with Lyme disease, according to medical experts.

54:19Yeah. And I think like the thing with Lyme disease is it is odd that like, again, I'm not an expert. This is just what I've read and what I've talked to my friends who are doctors. Like the type of tick that bites you, it typically doesn't live on like the West Coast. I think it lives more on the East Coast. But it is odd that like everyone seemingly who is diagnosed with Lyme disease is a celebrity living in Los Angeles. Yes. And there are actual data points that we will talk about that really contest the fact that Yolanda, Bella, and Anwar were allegedly all infected with Lyme disease from ticks, even though that's incredibly rare in California.

55:00But she saw some woo-woo doctor in Belgium who identified something called chronic neurological Lyme disease, a diagnosis that is not accepted in the real medical community, really. And that is completely different from traditional Lyme disease. Traditional Lyme disease is real when you get bit by a tick. Yeah. Chronic Lyme disease, this is from Wikipedia, is the name used by some people with nonspecific symptoms such as fatigue, muscle pain, and cognitive dysfunction to refer to their condition, even if there's no evidence that they had Lyme disease. Both the label and the belief that these people's symptoms are caused by this particular infection are generally rejected by medical professionals.

55:45Chronic Lyme is distinct from post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome, a set of lingering symptoms which may persist after successful antibiotic treatment of infection with Lyme causing Borrelia bacteria, and which may have similar symptoms to those associated with chronic Lyme disease. Despite numerous studies, there's no evidence that symptoms associated with chronic Lyme disease are caused by any persistent infection. The symptoms attributed to chronic Lyme are in many cases likely due to fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome. Again, which is probably what Yolanda actually has is chronic fatigue.

56:18But she didn't want to accept that diagnosis for whatever reason. Honestly, like, I don't understand why. Just say you have chronic fatigue. I was going to say, it's almost like that's such an eating disorder thing, too. Like, I feel like she clearly either suffers with one or she's projected one to her daughters based on what we've seen. it's like there's a race to be like sick and if you're not you need to be not only do you have to be sick but you have to be the sickest right so like when i was in eating disorder treatment like we couldn't talk about there was things you do not touch like you don't talk about numbers you don't talk about sizes like there's things that because it could trigger people because the disease of eating disorders not necessarily a bit just it's very competitive it's almost like with lyme disease, she's like, no, no, no.

57:02Chronic fatigue doesn't do it for me. Sorry, you're going to have to like amp it up a notch. No, no, no. You're going to diagnose me with chronic Lyme. Like she needs to, it's like, it's a very black and white extreme mentality that like eating disorders often has. I'm not, I'm not diagnosing her with an eating disorder either. I'm saying the pattern of behavior from what I saw was that she was pushing an eating disorder on her children. So she may have those same traits herself. To me, it's like such extreme patterns of behavior that like you can't live in the gray or like maybe you're just tired or you need to rest up it's like no she needs to be the sickest that she can be and maybe there's like monetary reason for it which we're going to get into but like this is very disturbing to me yeah and obviously people question this because again this is not something that is recognized by the larger medical community and it is interesting because obviously she sees woo doctors and then whenever For Bella, who allegedly has the same thing, chronic Lyme disease, whenever she posts her like, quote unquote, like hospital bed selfie, she's never in an actual hospital.

58:09She's always in some like holistic wellness center. Like, it's just it's very, you know, it's not this isn't like real. It's like it's giving Dr. Moon on real hospitals of Orange County. Like, love me some Eastern, you know, I have, like, a lineage of Eastern medicine family members. But, like. Oh, love Eastern medicine. It's not even. Like, I feel like it's not even that. It's, like, it's, like, fake. Like, these aren't real. Like, she posts herself with, like, IVs. And it's, like, what are these IVs? They're, like, the ones Amanda Stanton is giving her daughter. Yeah, yeah. When I hear the term, like, I don't mean to offend people.

58:50because I'm not saying that all naturopathic doctors are crap because I've like seen one and some of them can't be very helpful. But when you're like going to them for like a one-stop shop for diagnosis, like get multiple opinions, please. But I feel like she purposefully excludes going to Western doctors because they're not going to give her the answer that she wants. That's where it becomes very disturbing and unnerving. Exactly. And if you are like as sick as you are claiming to be, and Bella has posted so much, even recently, where people are like, it's very concerning. When you're posting that you are this sick, go to a real doctor.

59:27You are not going to get any better sitting in this, you know, like yoga studio is what it looks like. And like, I already know we're going to get comments saying like, this really helped me. We're not saying one size fits all. Like, I'm sure there are cases that have worked. Oh, totally. And you guys, I love acupuncture. Like, I totally believe. We were just talking about acupuncture. I had acupuncture today. I love acupuncture. I totally believe in Eastern medicine. Like, this isn't that. This is a separate category of quack doctors. Right. Like, because I just know we're going to hear, like, well, I had this doctor and he saved me from cancer.

59:59Like, it's not that. Yeah, it's not one size fits all. Like, I'm sure that everyone has their own experiences going to yoga studios that are pretending to be medical centers. And the funny thing is, the reason we're laughing is that's actually what's happening. That's what's happening. Like, we're not exaggerating to be funny. I want to hear it, you guys. Like, this is, like, literally. No, I'm so excited. Like, I already hear it. And I'm like, please. You guys understand what we're saying. Like, you guys, like, say whatever you want. Like, I stand by the fact that if you are really that sick, you need to go to a real doctor.

1:00:31If it were your family member. It's giving, like, anti-vaxxer. Like, it's very, it's like, what I'm talking about is not Eastern medicine. It is, like, the Maha. Like, they don't trust anyone. Right. They don't trust the medical community. They don't trust real doctors. They don't trust hospitals. They're like, let me go to this quack, unaccredited. Right. Like. They went to this fly-by-night school. Like, you ask yourself if a loved one of yours said that I have diagnosed. Would you send your sick loved one to that yoga studio? Right. Who's doing IVs from, like, home health. A Pilates reformer.

1:01:04Yeah. No, no, no. Like, again, it's, we're not being exaggerative here. This is what's happening. Yeah. So. So, again, like, there's so much to be said about that. I don't want to hear it. I don't want to fucking hear it. No, but like the Bella thing also, she has inherited, people say, is this Munchausen's by proxy? As in Yolanda convincing her that she is sick with chronic Lyme disease because that is not a real disease that is accepted by the medical community? Or is this her potentially having an eating disorder, which also has probably been, you know. given to her by her mom over the years.

1:01:46who's to say who's to say but that's that's a larger conversation a lot of people you know are very concerned about Bella based on her social media posting when she is sick she's done that many many many times over the years and people are like but again like why aren't you at a real hospital like what is actually wrong um other than the fact that you look malnourished right um but again that's a larger conversation so back to Yolanda her having manchhausen's was a huge storyline on Real Houses of Beverly Hills. Never forget Rinna. Rinna's greatest moment with, obviously, a sniper from the side, Lisa Vanderpump, of course, and Kyle Richards.

1:02:29And this was season six. So this was Yolanda's last season. And this is, you know, her breaking point when she ended up leaving the show. And Rinna brought up the idea that Yolanda's illness might not be what it seemed. She repeated rumors suggesting that Yolanda could be suffering from Manchowsen syndrome. Never forget Renna saying, Manchowsens. And then she like takes out her phone and she starts reading the definition. Yeah. She was at Vanderpump's house, right? True Manchowsen syndrome. I think she was, yeah. Yeah, like I remember exactly where she was seated. Villa Rosa or whatever it's called.

1:03:02Yeah, like on that blue couch or something. Yeah. Like it was like the alfresco, like inside, outside type of setup. Yes, yes. Yeah. So Munchausen is a psychological condition where someone fakes or exaggerates being sick for attention. And it's it's like a pathological thing. It's not. I feel like I feel like it's it's never for. Like money or to scam people. I mean, there are cases of people faking being sick in order to scam people and get money. But and I feel like the general definition, it is because there's like this pathological need for attention. And then Munchausen's by proxy is when they make their child sick so that they can be looked at as this hero, savior, selfless person who sacrifices everything to take care of their sick child, a la Sharp Objects.

1:03:47I know we have talked about Gillian Flynn recently. Great book. Great HBO series, if you haven't watched it. Gypsy Rose, exactly. Yeah. Yeah. And Yolanda obviously was not happy about this. She wrote on her Bravo blog and said, I wonder why these adult women sit around drinking wine in the afternoon debating another person's health issues. As much as I wish they cared enough to learn and ask questions, I must blame it on and assume it's ignorance. And she described severe neurological and chronic symptoms that some doctors and viewers felt did not match standard Lyme disease. And so it's like you have her saying that she was bit by a tick, but then also describing symptoms that do not sound like Lyme disease that comes from a tick.

1:04:32Yeah. And again, the statistical probability of herself and her two children living on the West Coast all succumbing to this. The probability is so statistically unlikely. Yeah, here it is. So Yolanda claims that she, Bella, and Anwar got Lyme riding horses in California, which would make them three of about 100 cases per year in California. It's very rare. Yeah. What are the odds? What are the odds? Like, you have to just use. Yeah. And she also claims that Bella and Anwar got it from horse flies. I don't even think that's, I mean, like, again, I don't know too much about it. Which, again, is not, yeah, that's not like the way that Lyme spreads.

1:05:13Yeah, yeah. And, okay, where was I? Yolanda? Oh, go ahead. Oh, go ahead. Go ahead. No, I was just going to say that I bet that Bella and Anwar are so psychologically probably repressed. Like, they don't even understand that they don't have it. Like, I could imagine you living in that household for your entire life and your mother is telling you something. And you're like, okay, yeah, that sounds right. You've been gaslit your entire life. Right. Like it's that's why I feel bad for Bella. Like I feel like so many people are like, oh, my God, please like Bella. Like what is going on with you? I'm like, no, I feel terrible for her.

1:05:54I bet you that those people have not watched the show then because like to me, it is clear as day if you have two working brain cells that you would understand that Bella is clearly. Yeah. This is like a figment of like Yolanda's imagination. Like this is not real sickness. It's really actually disturbing if you think about it. And on Beverly Hills, she documents her many alternative treatments and her illnesses and her lemon cleanses and all of that. And again, it's like if you're really that sick, you would see a real doctor and go to a real hospital and not this alternative doctor who's like, just drink lemon juice.

1:06:27Remember when she got something removed in her teeth? Like she's like, oh, my cavity is causing Lyme or something like that. Like she had to go to the dentist to get it removed. And they're like, wait, what? it. Yeah. Oh, she also had to get her implants removed because they ruptured. And then people were like, that's probably why you weren't feeling well. Yeah. Cause she, it's like the silicone was like, it was like, it almost made her body go septic or something like that. Like that's why you're feeling so horrible. Okay. So we are the misfits on Reddit posted something really interesting, this conspiracy.

1:07:01So, um, she did not have traditional Lyme disease. She said she had neurological Lyme, which some say is a made-up disease. So there's a blood test for Lyme disease. You will test negative for Lyme with neurological Lyme. Do I think it was real? Meh. But here's the interesting part. Her prenup was not legitimate because she had a lifelong illness, so that means she can get more money. Chronic Lyme means that this is a lifelong chronic disease. The reason why it seems fishy is that she broke her back when she was married to Muhammad, And that prenup was voided because she would need more care after she broke her back.

1:07:41So it's like she did she learn after she divorced Muhammad that having chronic health problems would help you get more money because this is around the time that she was divorcing David Foster. Yep. Because shortly after the Housewives wrap and it was her last season, they divorced like shortly thereafter. after like all the timeline makes sense and you can say some people are just literally mentally ill and they do this because like they're mentally ill maybe she's not doing maybe it's a little bit maybe she's like a little bit you know cray cray but like she's also doing this for like financial gain because then that actually would make like some sense because she seems to be a pretty bright woman like she seems very strategic she's gotten her girls to like the top of their game she's marry one of the some of the most wealthy men in the country.

1:08:27But she doesn't she is thinking 10 steps ahead. Like she's playing chess while everyone else is playing chess. She's playing chess. She really is. Son of Taves on Reddit also said chronic Lyme disease is a hypothetical illness. It's a common example of health fraud, pseudoscience and pseudomedicine. It's not a diagnosis an MD would ever give. The concept that it is even a real disease is completely rejected by the medical community. That's just disturbing. Like, it's genuinely, I couldn't even, I can't wrap my mind around that. And of course, Lyme disease is real. Yeah. Like, Lyme disease is real.

1:09:05It's chronic Lyme disease, which is not. And it's so unfortunate for the Lyme disease community that you have this, like, pseudo illness that, like, it's not real. Right. Right. And I feel like it makes people take real Lyme disease less seriously. Right. And David Foster was allegedly cheating on her already at this time. Again, this was pre David Foster divorce, but he was apparently cheating on her and he's apparently a dog. Like David Foster is a horrible person. Like again, like him playing piano at the Real Housewives. He was so cocky and so arrogant and just like obsessed with himself. It's so fucking funny to watch.

1:09:43Yeah. And so he was already cheating on her. And so did she come up with the idea to make herself sick to nullify their prenup? And because it's so difficult to prove that she has this chronic Lyme disease, she went that route. Again, this is just a conspiracy. Right. I had never heard that, but that makes so much sense. Like genuinely. And then this other person, Bambi Lee on Reddit says, again, when she says she broke her back after giving birth and was bedridden for a year, she's posted pictures of herself with baby Anwar and the girls. So it's like, were you bedridden or were you out and about riding horses?

1:10:23Riding horses, probably. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It reminds me of Laura Owens, how like she claimed that she like, Oh my God. She had like a uterus emergency and she couldn't go to trial. And then she was like, she was at an equestrian like horse show the very next day. They were like, she's literally competing in a horse show. She like got number one. Yeah, she like did perfectly. You guys love Trapped, the Love Trap podcast. It's crazy. I'm waiting for like an update. She's been releasing new episodes. every time there is an update with the like trial. But I don't think there's been an update in a couple of weeks.

1:11:00So anyway, yeah. And like there is a chance that maybe she got like she got kind of scammed by these alternative wellness doctors that are like convincing her that she has this thing, you know? Like remember when she opened her linen closet and it was not full of any linens or towels. It was literally pills and supplements. Yes. Yeah. That was terrifying. This is my daily routine. And it's, I'm not joking, close to 50 pills that she said she was taking a day. That was actually terrifying. It was. Like, I was, raise your hand if you were scared. Like, it's ingrained. Yeah. No, like, there's something, there's something very wrong with her.

1:11:40Yes. And, yeah, of course, like, you could have the long-lasting symptoms after having Lyme disease, which is a real thing. But those do not match the symptoms that Yolanda has. And like, again, it's like, why can't you just accept that you might have like chronic fatigue syndrome or some other kind of like chronic Lyme is not what you have because it's not real. Right. Again, we don't want to hear it. And like, again, these clinics are like, they have these like super expensive treatments, which is how they prey on these wealthy people that might have manchowsons. I bet you for every IV she takes, it's probably$600.

1:12:20I'm genuinely not even. minimum. Yeah. They're always in Beverly Hills. Yeah. Like, it's such, it's such a quack doctor, quack science, quack facility. Give me a break. Come on. Give me a break. So, yeah. So, Bella and Anwar also, is it Anwar or Anwar? I'm not sure. Well, whatever. He keeps himself out of the spotlight, so it's like, I wouldn't even have the opportunity to know how to pronounce. Like, I don't know because no one talks about him. I think he likes it that way. I know. I haven't heard about him since he was dating Dua Lipa. Stop. I completely, that feels like a fever dream, Sophie.

1:12:56I completely forgot about that. So, yeah, they were also diagnosed. Was it like a horse flies, ticks? I don't know. Either way, she said they contracted it from their family's horse ranch in Santa Barbara. And again, this would be incredibly rare for three people in the same family to get something that is so rare in California. And like I said, Bella has posted extensively about her illness, said that she has dealt with almost 15 years of invisible suffering. She posted in 2023. People speculate that Yolanda has this obsession with making her daughter sick, so she needs her mom to look after her, or so that Yolanda looks like, you know, this hero.

1:13:37And yeah, I mean, I don't doubt it. Yeah. And so here is where the Mann-Challusen by proxy comes in, which is, again, where someone exaggerates or causes illness to another person, their child. Again, like, is it that or is it a lack of nutrients? Yeah, that's probably genuinely what it is. That's actually so sad. So fucking sad. Empress M on Reddit said it's clearly just an eating disorder. She looks literally sickly and dangerously underweight in her latest Instagram post. And again, like I hate speculating about eating disorders and, you know, bodies and weight. But I'm sorry. But I'm sorry we can.

1:14:18We have eyes. We have eyes when it comes to Bella's post because, again, it's like there's no clear answer as to what is wrong with her. It raises the question, you know? Especially because we've seen how Yolanda is as a mom to her daughters. Exactly. If we didn't see the footage that we saw in Beverly Hills, we would not be talking like this. Like we are seeing very clearly what Yolanda has shown her behavior to be towards her daughters. Like it's incredibly disturbing. So we can't speculate on it because that's quite literally what was shown on our screens. It is not normal for a mother to tell her mother to tell her daughter to eat almonds very slowly.

1:14:56That's not normal to have her cut a slice, already thin slice into a quarter. That is not normal. That is disorder, period. Like I will stand on that. It's not speculation. It's fact. It's a fact. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Objective Lobster 736 on Reddit said, I think it's chronic disordered eating and all the things that are associated with that. Like there might be symptoms that are associated with chronic disordered eating. Disordered eating due to lack of proper nutrition can cause permanent health issues, including chronic health issues. Yeah. Of course, we saw this in the show, like you said. Yeah.

1:15:31And then from 2025 into 2026, Yolanda posted numerous photos of Bella's quote unquote hospitalization. and heavy on the quotes because they're not real hospitals. Again, the Yoga Lottie studio that she went to in Brentwood, like I'm telling you, it's like, that was actually a very disturbing carousel. Like I'm laughing, but it's not funny. Like it's really actually disturbing. Yeah. And then remember also during the storyline on Beverly Hills,

1:16:01when Lisa Vanderpump said that Muhammad Hadid told her that his children did not have Lyme disease, which obviously contradicted Yolanda. And then Mohammed had to walk it back. And he released a statement, and I'm sure Yolanda called him fucking pissed off and made him do this, but he released a statement clarifying that his response of, oh, my kids are fine, when asked how his kids were doing was misconstrued. No, and do you remember, so if you guys don't watch the show, Vanderpump and Mohammed were close. And that's actually why he ended up being like on a cameo is because he was Lisa Vanderpump's friend.

1:16:34And then I think she might have even brought Yolanda to the show. And then therefore you have now Yolanda's ex-husband. But I remember after Vanderpump called Yolanda out, was like, your ex-husband told me that your kids don't have Lyme. I remember the relationship between Muhammad and Vanderpump was like super fractured after that. Like it actually kind of became a minor storyline of like, clearly Vanderpump spoke at a turn and Muhammad was like, you bitch, like I told you not to say anything. Like I bet you that's what went down, you know? Yeah, like I told you that in confidence. Stop. Like, why did you do that, dude?

1:17:08Like, why are you exposing me? Yeah. So I think that's actually, like, it clearly Muhammad spoke and Lisa Vanderpump talked out of turn outside of his confidence, which is that's such a Vanderpump thing to do. But like. Oh, of course. Come on. Yeah. This is real. Oh, my God. We could do a whole episode on Muhammad. No, genuinely. Real estate. It's like drama. Like, there's some dark shit. Like, we actually could do a whole episode on him. Do you remember when Yolanda Hadid had a reality TV competition show? Yeah, I'm reading this. Called Making a Model. I mean, if anyone can make anyone a model, it's her.

1:17:44It's her. It's literally her. It premiered on Lifetime in 2018. And it obviously drew a lot of criticism for putting child models as young as 13 on camera with their stage moms. As young as 13. And this is the same woman who spent years insisting that, you know, she didn't make her children work until 17. And here are these 13-year-olds with their moms exploiting them. Right. I'm curious. I've watched every reality show, like, ever, and I did not watch this. So let me know if you guys watched it. And then let's talk about the Zayn incident. So Zayn Malik of One Direction fame is the dad of Gigi's child.

1:18:26And I actually, like, I was thinking about this. I can't believe their kid is six now. almost six. I think turned six in September. Yeah. I thought the kid was like born yesterday. So like that. I know. Is that crazy? Like with celebrity kids, I always picture them still being babies until you see them walking out and about when they're like teenagers. No, that's. And I'm like, what do you mean? Like Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis's kids like Jason Sudeikis was just on the red carpet with them and they're like fully like teenagers. They're like adults. It's crazy. I've been a diehard TaskRabbit stan long before they were a sponsor.

And Gigi was in Paris out of town at the time.

1:22:29And apparently Yolanda came onto the property when her daughter wasn't there. And the dispute was about access to Kai, who was a year old at the time. and Kai is Gigi and Zane's daughter. Malik allegedly, and this is all according to Yolanda, not proven. This is just based on her account of what happened. She said Malik allegedly directed a slur at Yolanda referencing her nationality, calling her a fucking Dutch slut. Like, I know it's not funny, but like it sounds like, sorry, when I heard this initially, I was like, it's obvious that's like a very traumatic experience if this is a fact true.

1:23:06If that happened, if that happened. Zayn obviously not. And I don't think Zayn is like a stand-up fella either. Okay. He also needs severe help. Like, okay, let's all be honest. Yeah. Let's talk about people that need help at Zayn. Oh my God. No, it's like, it's like loser on loser crime. I was just about to say loser on loser crime. There are two crazy people coming at each other, okay? Obviously, Zayn is more powerful. He's a man. That's very scary, but I'm sorry to say. No, I know. But the concert and him calling her a fucking Dutch slut, Which, of course, is, like, not, it's not funny, but, like, kind of is.

1:23:43No, I know. I remember when I read this, I'm like, oh. Like, it was so random. He went there. Yeah, like, but he's also a fucking monster, so, like. Yeah, he also sucks. But apparently, and this is, again, just according to Yolanda, none of this has been proven or, you know, prosecuted or anything. Right. Um, he told her to stay away from his daughter, allegedly, then grabbed and shoved her into a dresser. Um, court documents stated that he cursed at Yolanda and yelled at Gigi, who was on the phone during the confrontation. Um, he apparently yelled at Yolanda, again, stay away from my daughter, blah, blah, blah, uh, was screaming.

1:24:20And it was this whole thing. He apparently said to Gigi on the phone, telling her to strap on some fucking balls and defend your partner against your fucking mother in my house. Jesus. He's just like a scary dude. He's also had like really weird, like problematic stuff. Remember when he went and like call her daddy or whatever, whatever it was. And he was like, I was like, just because she's the mother of my child doesn't mean I was ever in love with her. About Gigi. And it's like, why are we talked about this recently? And I can't remember like why we were talking about it. But like to say that about your very public, the mother of your child in public, you know this is going to go viral.

1:24:55It's just like so mean. I mean, he's so he's calculated it mean. Like, I just don't like him. Yeah, he's he has some problems. He adamantly denied striking a wonder, making physical contact contact. He chose to plead no contest to four criminal counts of harassment. And no contest means he did not admit guilt, but accepted the punishment. again these are all allegations and he claims that he just accepted the punishment because he didn't want this to turn into a whole thing that his daughter would read about one day he just wanted it to he just wanted to quash it basically is what he claimed and these were summary counts which is the lowest year of offense in pennsylvania closer to citations than like any sort of criminal conviction um tmz broke the story and he posted a statement saying that he's a private person and he wants a safe space for his daughter and he felt compelled to speak because the accusations had been leaked.

1:25:51And he referred to an argument with a family member of his partners who entered their home while Gigi was away. He complained that this private matter had been made public. So yeah, he was accusing Yolanda of kind of like almost like breaking and entering into their home when she was not welcome there. And apparently this was because of, you know, the daughter, Like, was she trying to, like, take Kai? Like, it's very, very, very bizarre. Because why were you, like, Gigi wasn't there. Like, what were you trying to do? Yeah. Zane ended up receiving 360 days probation, was fined, and had to complete domestic violence and anger management programs.

1:26:26He was also ordered to have no contact with Yolanda and also the security guard, John McMahon, who allegedly was part of the altercation as well. And this whole ordeal led to the final breakup of Zane and Gigi after six years on and off. and he on call her daddy said that, here's what he said, he chose not to contest the allegations in order to protect his daughter. He didn't want to leave a paper trail that his daughter would later read. And some hypothesize that Yolanda did this to mess up Zayn's visa. Avwar Reeves on Reddit says, Yolanda has successfully broken two prenups with rich and powerful husbands.

1:27:05She knows a lot about gaming and manipulating the legal system. I think her intention of filing legal charges was to get Zayn thrown out of the country and excommunicated from their daughter and granddaughter. Her machinations obviously didn't work as well as she would have liked. So basically saying that she was trying to get Zayn kicked out of the country. Yeah, that's what it sounds like. So that Gigi and Yolanda could have full custody of Kai. Custody, yep. It's pretty hard to do joint custody when you're in different countries. Well, yeah. That's pretty challenging, yeah. And then CFP mom on Reddit said there were rumors she wasn't happy that he didn't want his daughter's photo taken and shown everywhere.

1:27:43And Yolanda supposedly wanted a TV show like the Kardashians and expected the granddaughter to be included. And he disagreed. And again, I unfortunately 100 % believe this. Yeah. And like I said, like this is someone who, again, was pimping out her daughters from a very young age. And I was just saying, like, I'm so impressed that Kai has never been shown anywhere. Yeah, actually, that's a great point. To this day, we've not seen one single photo. Not one photo. And I was going to also say that Zayn also got famous at a very young age, well before he was like an adult. I bet you he has so much trauma.

1:28:17He's like, I am not allowing my daughter to be subjected to all that trauma. Like it's almost like he's trying to undo the cycle versus it seems like, not that Zayn is any angel, sweetheart. I'm just, this is just in this instance. It seems like Yolanda is pushing. like she's continuing the cycle while Zayn is actively trying to stop it and that's where they're not meeting. No, I totally, totally believe that. I also like I I wouldn't be surprised also if Gigi was like, I don't want my daughter's face out there. But I can see Yolanda. Yeah, Gigi seems to, you know, she's she's not overexposed on social media or anywhere, really.

1:28:55She seems pretty low key. Yeah. All things considered, you know. Yeah. So let's quickly just wrap up with just some of her personal life tidbits and her relationships, because I know there was some confusion with her current fiance and her ex-fiance. So David Foster, David Foster, they got married in 2011. And again, this was heavily featured on Real Houses of Beverly Hills. And it is so funny to think about how she was Yolanda Foster. Yeah. It's like so weird. Yeah. Like she was Yolanda Foster and now she is Yolanda. And I remember when she changed her name to Hadid, everyone was like, oh, cause now your daughters are like super famous.

1:29:39Yeah. Right. Right. Um, she would constantly dote on him and call him like my King. And it was a little bit like trad wifey, honestly. Oh, I, I a hundred percent that I forgot about that. Holy, that was a big part of our storyline. She's like a woman's role is to cook for a man. Yeah. She really honed in on that. I completely forgot about that. Yep. And she would make people come over for dinner parties where he would play the piano at them and shush everyone. And their relationship started to fall apart in season six. And again, this is when, you know, the Manchhausen storyline happens and the divorce was announced as the season wrapped.

1:30:19And she said in her memoir that David grew resentful of her chronic illness, feeling that she could no longer be his wingman at high profile Hollywood events. Totally believe that David Foster is all over the town. He's a man about town. Yeah. Now he's married to Catherine McPhee. Don't they have a kid? Yeah. I think so. Yeah. Following her final season, it was mentioned in one of the gossip blogs that David wanted Yolanda to do the show because he thought it would improve, you know, his career and was upset that that didn't happen. If anything, people were like, fuck David Foster because he's a narcissistic asshole.

1:30:55No, it completely tarnished his relationship because he had like a pretty pristine image at that point. And that's his own fault. Like, don't be mad at Yolanda for that. Like, that's your fault that you're insufferable. That wasn't an edit. Like, you literally were just being yourself and everyone thought you were grotesque. Mm-hmm. So the couple had a strict prenup, which again, was able to be modified because of her chronic illness. So. So she, in 2020, announced she was in a relationship with the CEO of a construction development company called Joey Gingoli. And they got engaged in 2022, but then ended their engagement in 2025.

1:31:35And she ended up getting engaged in June 2026 to real estate developer Randy Kendrick. So this is a new guy, and he's a wealthy real estate developer. And, yeah, she currently lives in Fort Worth, Texas. in a custom-designed ranch where Randy is based. I think she did an architectural digest on their house, if I remember correctly. I do remember that, actually, and I remember it being stunning. Yeah. Yolanda Hadid. Yeah, it's A.D. Fort Worth. It's from 2024. Yes. I think this, yeah. Her show-stopping Texas Refuge. Yeah. She's just a barn girl, you know? She's a barn girl. It really is, like, stunning.

1:32:16So, yeah, those are Yolanda's greatest hits. And like I said, I kind of forgot how awful she is. I know, but it's, my God, was this a good interesting one. Because it's like, it goes so much more beyond just her. Like, her lineage is crazy. Her tentacles all over the children. And like, I feel like there's so much to psychologically unpack here. Again, like I feel like I am not a psychology expert. I'm not an economics expert. But I feel like all of these different factors are so interesting. Like there's so much to unpack about her. And like I said, I feel like the through line is the fact that she's a control freak.

1:33:02And where that came from, who knows. But controlling her granddaughter, controlling her food intake, her daughter's food intake, the modeling careers, the narrative. Her granddaughter. Whatever it is. There's so much that is just so interesting about her. So curious what you guys think about Yolanda, what you guys think about her alternative medical centers. Have you been to one? Have you been to the Yogalani studio that also helps treat chronic Lyme disease? Like that's going to be a bit for the rest of time. Just I hope you know that. The Yogalani studio that treats chronic Lyme. It's so funny.

1:35:23As a lifelong renter who's probably going to be renting for the rest of my life at this point, It's hard for me to justify splurging on custom furniture or like chic, expensive vintage home finds when I know this isn't my forever home. That's what Wayfair is for. Because even though renting makes me less enthusiastic about spending money on furniture and home decor, I still want my apartment to feel chic and elevated, duh. I've turned to Wayfair for home upgrades for over a decade now, long before they were a sponsor. From an armoire in our second bedroom to our randomly extremely chic wicker laundry basket that I'm literally obsessed with, Wayfair makes quality pieces that stand up to real life without breaking the bank.
