In short

The episode is a chaotic catch-up between hosts Sue and Lou (plus Bill and others mentioned) about a weekend in Bath, public embarrassment, misgendering, and social media arguments, then pivots into media recommendations and pop-culture takes. Key topics include: being recognized in Bath; a waiter misunderstanding “sparkling” water; getting told twice to be quiet by a man using heavy gendered slurs; a packed train where a random woman starts singing folk songs; and “bums” (a competitive butt-kicking game) played in the park. Guests/figures discussed: Lena Dunham (writer/actor; Girls, books, NYT interviews; described as privileged, provocative, and chronically ill/rehab for pharmaceuticals), and Charlie XCX (album-cycle marketing; “dance floor is dead”/rock comeback).

Notable examples

Bath recognition via an interview with “Munna”; the London Standard featuring “the 2020s philosophers”; and the “Aunt Lena” cheating narrative from Dunham’s memoir discussions.

Key claims

misgendering and public singing are both socially harmful; Dunham’s work is “jarring but fascinating” and “deeper than credited”; and Charlie XCX’s “dance floor is dead” is PR-rage-bait that still signals a real genre shift.

2:01oh i bet she loved that do we give sparkling and she was like we literally ordered it but i thought i gave sparkling i think i do give sparkling and sorry and you thought and you thought she was just like just assumed that she was like you faggots on sparkling so i was like do we keep sparkling but i said it's so loud and i was actually thinking that she was like i think i was in on the joke and i absolutely wasn't it wasn't a joke how often do you walk down the street and think like that someone is recognizing you and then you think in retrospect that actually like no one is no one gives a fuck about me and then there was this one we were sat outside a pub before in bath bath's weird because like we were there it was like it's a toy town yeah it is and it was like 12 p.m and we were day drinking which is fine and we're outside this pub it's pretty dead like it was really nice and then the guy comes out and he's like he looks at all of us he goes all right boys you need is that all right boys you all need to be quiet and he looks at each of each one so they looks at me and he's like yeah so you know fellas you've been really really fucking loud and honestly used four different gender terms for men that he could really sweet man but like kept just fucking gagging me mate mate yeah i'm gonna need you to shut the fuck up it was more fella boy he said boys like three times he said someone in the areas complained that we're being loud twice and we've been told twice to be quiet so i've come out to tell you so someone over the road is like rang up in his fake toy town of bath posh tory town that we were like chatting we were chatting we were being loud but like they didn't tell us two times that's crazy because we would have shut up but yeah and he just like gags out and then he went inside and we were all honestly in so so much hysterics of how much gendered language he used.

3:38Do you know what we guys... Yeah, honestly, sirs, like group of sirs. Honestly, it was so fucking funny. But yeah, are you giving sparkly is absolutely is the worst thing in the world. Yeah. Do we give sparkling? Do we give sparkling? And she was like... Because I'm a star. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do we give sparkling? Anyway, the girl was very, very sweet who had watched that and too. So shout out to you. And I also quickly want to shout out D4100 and then went we took our nephews out to the park yesterday D4100 which is a pizza place in Bath no that this is now in Nunhead oh wow you've really been ticking all the boxes yeah and then so I just want to shout out Miles at D4100 who gave me a discount because he listens straightly of a shout out Miles wow and he gave me free sources allegedly I didn't get any discount also we were walking down you never went in we were walking down no just like generally walking down the street the other day you got recognised and I didn't.

4:36Tough to take. Where? When we were walking to the station from the pod, someone said they loved you and I didn't even exist. Which is fine because we're elevating trans voices always. No, but also, I think if we walked through, I don't know, Corsica, for example, I think that would have been your playground. I don't know. Or if we went to Earth or something. Yeah. People do say to me a lot, though, that love Sue. love sue why love lou everyone's like where's lou really well yeah because they're just like hungry gay people well they thinking they could win win you over i'm gonna go millennial women millennial cis women yeah love me if they if they like the pod yeah they make a special effort to go that they love you more yeah protect the dolls yeah protect the bridge protect the bricks honey protect the bricks honey i felt like a brick when that waiter left i was like dragged through the mud honey what do you so yeah what's more kind of hard to deal with being misgendered or embarrassing yourself embarrassing myself misgendered is fine assuming that you were given free spot and then we went yeah and then we went to the birthday and then i've just honestly not been that you know when you're so pissed that you actually got on a level of just like vibrating pissed like we i was just fucked like i just didn't stop drinking all day like i was i was hung over on the train bike and then whilst hung over on the train bike a girl thinks it'd be funny on a pack train where people have stood up to start singing folk songs so it's just this random girl like some irish ditty i was like girl it was so bad like and we're all just sat there like me trying not to be sick like it was so bad it's crazy when people do that it's not fucking no it's not nice it's not nice if you oh sorry sorry sorry sorry sorry it's okay not sorry to you um hill station cafe new cross um there two weeks ago having a nice pizza behind us this random couple sings thunder only happens when it's raining whatever that fleetwood mac song is the thing is i'm laughing at you repeat could we not go to one of your bedrooms the thing is no one here is from the voice no no one is na and off for the voice on bbc you're not gonna get scouted you're not gonna be in girls allowed i saw her always stood up they've been shopping at flannels like she wasn't like some like i thought she'd be like a white person with dreadlocks she wasn't she was like some regular girl that i think they're all just like sing it'll go viral at least try no one on that train wanted that to happen no it was so bad also if you're gonna start randomly singing be good like be really really good like people are gonna have to or announce to the train but she just started like randomly singing whilst being held at another platform and people we were so busy that people were stood up it was so bad it's bad enough doing it in sort of public space actually public spaces are fine a train yeah a packed train yeah come on now you're taking the piss come on you put you're making it harder for all of us yeah okay you're making it harder for the tiktok musicians you're making it really fucking hard you were day drunk like I was just day drunk I just wanted to have fun oh but it was a nice birthday nevertheless happy birthday Maisie happy birthday what Maisie Maisie wow Sue's famous guys Sue's hanging out with the big dogs now I'm not um okay great that sounds like a successful weekend it was how was yours I like do you know what me and Louie don't text on the weekends and I kind of love that yeah we just don't talk in the weekends.

8:11Do you text your other friends during the weekends? Yeah. Really? I usually text you on a Sunday. I usually give you a Sunday text. We have like one weekend check-in and it's like a funny little bit of gossip or something. Usually I just think Bill, not Bill, you're not Bill. I just think Louis is at like a 48 hour sesh. You're at someone's house who's probably called like Tilly. Tilly Norwood. I was at crazy afters at Tilly Norwood on the weekend. Crazy afters. Yeah. Sox House Meeting was there. Oh, nice. She's been texting me. Iris Law was there. Was she? Yeah. Are you lying? The Cheese Girl was there.

8:48Who's the Cheese Girl? Oh, Sue, you would love the Cheese... Are you lying? No, of course I'm not. I said I was at Tilly Norwood's Afters. No, I thought you were saying you were at another Afters. No, no Afters this weekend. Oh, really? Yeah, I had quite a straight weekend, actually. Got fisted. So, no. Have I been fingered? No, babe. We've been over this. I know, but I just didn't know when. No one's ever tried. I bet they've tried. No, no one's even ever tried. Crazy. I'm picking the straightest of the straight girls. Yeah, yeah, that's fun. Good for you, girls. Complete squares. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

9:25I love fingering. I'll get my nails done today so I can start fingering again. You got your nails done so you can start fingering again? No, I'm going to get them short again so I can. Louis, how was your weekend? Can I talk about fucking getting my nails done and fingering bum holes? Sorry, carry on, Louis. No, it was a straight weekend because I smoked loads of weed and I watched loads of sport. So it was the opposite of straight. Straight as in like straight person or like straight as in like... Straight person, straight person. I thought you meant like straight, like sober. I watched loads of sport.

9:52I watched loads of basketball. I watched loads of football. Nice. And then I played bums in the park. And yet you don't like getting fingered. There you go. Set you up. What's bums? Bums is just keep it up But You have lives Your first life is B, second life is U If you lose all your lives You have to bend over And then people take turns To kick the bull At your arse Straight people are so gay That is so fucking gay I hate you so much Have you made that up? No Gay people yeah straight people be like and then if it goes so like you're you're taking a shot at someone's ass from point mark as they like someone's stretching out your legs because like naturally when you kneel over like your legs may be too sharp yeah and so you like need to stretch them out so your ass is exposed if the ball goes through your legs you have to get down as well so quite often it's just a row of of people just getting bummed basically okay so that was my straight weekend oh i'm glad um do you feel better for it though it is honestly really fun i didn't get bummed no no i mean um not smoking weed all weekend well you know i have a tricky relationship with weed um or maybe you don't i just like in a sense of like when you start doing it it's a slippery slope vibe not slippery slope but like you then just get like not addicted to it but more like you have to then stop yourself from smoking weed and i just scare i get way less productive and i eat too much basically um so i haven't had weed in a while a friend brought it over to me that's fine you're so like zooey it's crazy really that's serious too as well yeah i just can't have it in the house otherwise i eat like a pig basically she is the same like she like not do it for a long time because she's sober and everything else so then she'll smoke weed occasionally and eventually just there'll be one day where she's like smoking too much weed i'm just gonna stop it's so much fun yeah weed hennessy and coke basketball sex workers sex workers circle jerk with the boys soggy biscuit bums arsenal city kiss yard sale pizza dalston car boot wow should we talk about that i haven't even got that on my list but the fucking North London girlie and the fucking the guy who does MK, no what's his name?

12:36I know her name is Flory but I only know that I only know that because she was next to us on the London Standard which embarrassed me a little bit because she's only been about for two minutes shout out to the London Standard and the diva whose name I forgot that put us in it what's her name? why don't you tell people, we were in the London Standard the london standard of london maxing and it said what is it it said it called so it's like it's like it's like london maxing it's like how to enjoy london to the best a guide to london and then it had like a content map of london yeah so it was like top jaw was next to us florio was next to us and then they called us the 2020s philosophers the pre-eminent philosophers of east london in the 2020s and you're fucking welcome that's it that is quite a that's quite kind quite a bar what's his name his name is m comb or mc it was mc that's it but that video that they first did together ate where she was like what's the mc they ate that and then the camera turned to him they did i was excited because i just thought because and then someone commented and it was really patriotic this is london and it's right do you know what i mean like it's that thing it's like i think on tiktok everyone's so separated be like oh i fucking hate this fucking that about this well this person said that person they've actually just i don't know who would have sent the first dm but i think it is quite oh flor oh who knows it my favorite comment was this is uni friendships yeah average but isn't that nice that's not i feel like that needs to happen more i feel like so many people like need to just like

Yeah, but there's no way, like, i wonder whether they'll have like a me and uti and they become actual friends then they start fucking exploring each other's bodies i'm just gonna check we're still rolling did you see that comment guys can i actually just say this um me and louis are friends and no matter what you try and make up we had a there was a comment on our latest tiktok that was like god louis saying he doesn't like Sue is transphobic like that and you're like no no can you pass me my phone please babe thank you Flory and MC I mean they're not dinky pork pies they're M &S dinky pork pies sorry what are you showing us that we're not friends no no no but like I've seen so many comments this one in particular the other day that said Louis only claims he can't date her because he's straight, is transphobic oh no, that person comments on all of my videos and is like constantly trying to rage baby but then someone commented beneath it, hello

16:55are they called no or something? I don't know, I saw them commenting on something else they comment on everyone yeah, no, yeah, but then someone commented and agreeing is so stupid

17:08how would you prove to people that we are friends off the podcast we are friends i'll see us about i see us about you see us about um after every podcast we usually go get a slice pizza that's probably proof i got invited to scotland yeah we were in scotland together bill likes me Bill likes you I like Bill Yep He misses you He's working today At No not even Not even He's working in acne Oh sorry yes of course He's back in He's an actor He's an actor Yeah I don't know how we Maybe we don't have to prove anything Maybe we just know we're friends Yeah So fuck you guys And lord knows The lord The lord knows The lord knows That that even there's podcast level of friendship, content level of friendship.

18:04Then there's like industry level of friendship. There's like, oh my God, who do I need? Like, who can I summon to go to an event at end clothing? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Who can I take as a date? And then there's real friendship. Yeah. Okay. Although one thing I was thinking the other day is that we, you don't really know my friends that much. No, I don't. And I think about that. And I think that's my fault. And I want to apologize for that. It's okay. But I want to let you into my world, baby, because you let me into yours. I know. You know all my friends. I don't know yours. Yeah, but they all love me.

18:43Yeah, I know they do. Yeah. Do your friends find me annoying and be honest? No, I think you find my friends. I don't find your friends annoying. Yeah, which is a projection of mine. Oh, really? you think i find your friends annoying your friends are lovely well you've bumped into a lot of them in berlin yeah and i loved them yeah i literally love all your friends milo chris love chris chris is so lovely chris is her favorite yeah chris is my favorite yeah and it's so it's my fault i think he's so nice and intense like in a nice way like just he'll give you eye contact and i'm like i i feel autistic he works for he works for cherry works in charity yeah works for mungo's or something or fucking oh really yeah oh homelessness steve yeah i know that i know the girl yeah that's okay my ex-therapist used to work at saint mungo's oh not mungo's hi-fi drop my bass dj keep up no guys we are friends i promise even though i'm not letting sue into my life at all yeah maybe i have a big birthday party and that's the kind of when's your birthday again 20th of may shit okay i need to get your prezzy yeah money would be nice would you prefer money 20 quid would you don't get me money okay so you want a prezzy don't get me money things are things are trending upwards okay do you need money i mean yes but i'm not gonna ask for money from friends okay i've got mummy for that yeah um what would i talk about now um do we do you have any other takes on florian mc they're fine they're fine okay uh no so we well we have quite a lot to talk about this week sue i guess there's there's lena dunham why don't we start there okay actually sorry right so sorry the dance floor being dead no we'll we're gonna get there for sure i want you to cook on lena dunham first but first let me take a selfie i watched sir out on friday why it's just a wild film it's crazy it made me feel really sad afterwards i didn't know what yeah it doesn't make you feel it's not a feel-good film it's like you can't but you can't even tell the listeners what happens because then it ruins the whole film yeah like it's so like it like the worst possible thing happens and then it just gets worse like i can't explain to you like one awful thing happens which just think okay and then they just carry on with journey that's the thing that really got me is they just left the thing and then they keep going and then another wild thing starts happening and then they keep happening and it's almost it's almost and then you're literally sat like this because i do you know the when the first one when she's dancing yeah i yelped in a center it was just me and bill in the cinema but if i was crazy that was a full cinema a girl mess me willow mess me the other day was like i was in a full cinema and I screamed.

21:32I literally yelped. That was an excellent piece of cinema. It's fucking nuts. Blow it up. Blow it up. Crazy. By the third one? Crazy. I was laughing. I was like, come on! Yeah, it's like a joke. It is crazy. But I'm struggling to work out what the... The meaning is. The meaning of the film is. I actually don't think there is one. And I think there's not really a higher power. I think it actually is. The thing I took from it is like, actually there's actually just no hope you can't you can't hide from it like yeah when the end is inevitable and you actually don't know when that's coming that's what i got from it i was initially thinking it was like a comment on like i don't know this sort of idea of like a european hippie yeah like who goes to festivals like they're sort of when it when when it's survival mode and there's a war going on and you're out in the fucking desert and there's nothing there like everyone is equal but i don't think it was the people who were going at the festival as the film goes on you realize aren't like your idea of like oh like euro centric like kind of destroying all the land around them like they're that you you kind of learn they're good people as the film goes on this touch on like community and sharing things and wanting to share food and share resources share petrol and that coming back up so i was like is it something on community but then everyone like then it just gets peaked for everybody and like but it's not as if like it gets peaked for everyone and then at the end it just kind of ends but it's gaggy and i do i yeah it's just gaggy that's the thing that's why i keep telling everyone to watch it i'm like it's just gaggy yeah it's crazy it's one of the craziest apparently though it's interesting because i thought it was like a political take and it's actually not it's just a guy who just made a film i think he's spanish you made it oh my god uh no it's not pedro alvalmar or whatever the fucking I was so I was typically as you do after sort of watching a crazy film and you don't really have anyone to talk to about it look it up on tiktok interviews with the director so underwhelming so like you know I got a message about I like when I was going off about it on my stories I got a message from someone who you met the other day and she was saying she was so fucking underwhelmed by everything he was saying and that like everyone kept trying to ask him about political things and he kept shutting them down and stuff as is the case sometimes with like great artists is just like they're not that good at explaining yeah he was in the clips i was seeing it's basically just like i just fell in love with dancing i was like yeah but i feel like your film was saying were beautiful yeah they were really inspiring i as a pitch to me you know i'd hate it but like actually when i was watching i was like this is sick and just like the techno music for like basically half of the film was is sick well because it felt believable it felt believable that these people are actually and it felt as though they were just like actors right they would act as that that fell street cast well so i looked up the you know the kind of the main the lead woman raver with the shaved head yes she's amazing i looked her up because i thought she was incredible um and she has like 8 000 followers on instagram yeah yeah i think that is the case yeah um it's an amazing film but yeah it was great thank you for the recommendation oh my god anytime um chat if you still haven't watched syrah watch it let us know what you think uh without further ado where are you at with lena dunham so i'm only on chapter three okay but i've been an enjoyer of lena dunham for years i think girls is a modern day masterpiece i think it was actually so necessary the thing that i very very much enjoyed about her book and i'm listening to the audiobook because i can't be honest about the book but i will is um she did a talk at hackney empire that so many people are out yesterday what i really enjoy about her is i don't think just as much as when we talked about too much when it came out the reason what i really enjoy about lena dunham is no one can do lena dunham like lena dunham could do lena dunham hence why meg stoltz couldn't do too much no shade because i think lena dunham is that perfect creation of and when i say perfect i mean fucking perfect where it's this thing of like somebody who was brought up privilege and connected don't want to gag it someone who's brought up privilege connected and told that she was good but held to a standard where she had to because if you listen to her book like she kept writing things and she couldn't impress her parents and then she wrote this film that like helped her get to where she needed to be and her parents were like we'll help you find money for this film and they were like artists and so she was exposed to art so she's a very educated person but ultimately with that which i think she really like kind of like speaks about is and she spoke about a lot in girls is she's it's really jarring too and i think it's the reason i think it's perfect is because i am yet to find someone who can perfectly annoy me but also fascinate me but then also educate me and like strike so many emotions i feel like there's very rare people very few people ever that have been able to like make me think in such different ways than she can and i think too much though couldn't be acted by her written by her she's such a complex character that actually like you you can't people can't just step into those shoes i think she's so complex and amazing and like both jarring but also thoroughly entertaining and lovely and then she'll do something else and you're like oh god that that was a bit peak and then she'll say something else you're like but that was fierce and then she'll tell the truth about something and then so that she was lying about something and say she did something bad like i think it oh my god i just think she is a concept is and a person is amazing she said i so i haven't read or listened to any of the book but i've watched the new york times yes yeah which i loved and she has she has a couple bars yeah in it but one of them that's alluding to sort of what you're saying is that uh she's been like where she's kind of explaining why she's such a or historically hated figure by some like press or people or whatever and she's like i've just been good at annoying people my whole life yeah but i think that is amazing which typifies her very well and like what you're saying like she's very good at being funny and kind of provocative at the same time she speaks about in her first book like in the first few chapters like how she got where she was with the film and how she made it happen and she moved she saw the safeties at a festival and then made friends with the safeties and then they were like move into our like space and then she moves in she's in the table next to greta gerwig and she ultimately becomes connected and stuff and she just she's just a girl that makes it happen and she just made it happen like i think girls is phenomenal and i think it's so much deeper than i think people give it credit for like i'm telling bill that we need to re-watch it i think it's an absolute masterpiece um of i think the female experience and being a female in general and how like no matter what you do like you'll never be like because she was villainized in the media like even when she broke up with like jack like i remember when that was all happening and she was just fucking villainized and then like you hear about in the book like yeah she cheated but it sounds like for a reason like do you know what i mean like no shade like the teen pop star of it all have you seen that on tiktok i've well and they kind of refer to it quite openly in interview yeah and the interview is like makes a pure heroin yes yes exactly for context i didn't even know this well apparently the whole thing is i haven't actually got there in the book so please but the videos i've saw and like people have summarized it they were basically saying that there was like an emotionally cheating relationship where basically Lena says in the book that like Jack and this alleged teen pop star, something happens and he goes to care for her in a way that he'd never cared for Lena emotionally.

29:28And then something that was just a nail in the coffin, she used to call her Aunt Lena. And I think that is so mean. Aunt Lena, I'm literally like, what? Like 10 years older than you? Like that's crazy. like that'd be like someone a co-star of bill's calling me auntie sue i'd be like do you want a sparking out like auntie sue i'll only take that from bill's nephews like are you fucking joking our nephews i'm sorry they weren't lord and jack antonoff weren't like why don't that's never confirmed who knows but it was basically that like yeah basically it alludes to the fact that something happened and then lena sees that jack cares for lord in a way that he's never cared for her so she goes and cheats which again isn't right but ultimately is right too like but i think that is the thing i think ultimately we don't debate men like this we debate women like this because how can a woman after all of that public battering still get up and be writing books that are so plain simple and communicative i think that's amazing i think i really do think she's amazing I think she's and then people will be like but what about this or what about that or you know like what when she did this when she did that and it's like do you do this to men like no you fucking don't H.S.

30:44Tiki Taki is alive and kicking like I honestly I think she's the most one of the most interesting have you watched Grey Gardens no like Little Edie and stuff no okay you need to go watch that documentary but it's basically like this like oh my god no sorry I have watched it about the woman who is like living in this abandoned mansion yeah with like cats and stuff yeah but like they just like wear loads of knots so good i like i'm as interested in leonard on them as i am in them because i just think they're just people be dancing to their own oh i didn't know you were wait what's the when you say you're obsessed with them those two women in that doc or all the people well they're dead now but well they're like gay icons right so like i first learned about them because someone did them jinx monsoon did them in snatch game and then everyone's obsessed that documentary and then obsessed with their law but their whole law is that they just like went and did the thing that they wanted to do never married and just key keyed and walked from their dresses like like i just they just i really enjoy people that just do things that against the grain i think lena dunham is that like unapologetically and also throughout all of this has been chronically fucking ill do you know what i mean and like it's like no one like i don't know i haven't got to the point where she like starts getting really ill but like she's done all of this in the face of like sickness i just think that's crazy yeah i don't really know this sorry is her sickness like addiction or is she got she went to rehab i know that yeah then they talk about rehab because she said she she in her word she puts it as she was addicted to pharmaceuticals um is that the kind of illness and sickness in totality or is it like i don't know i think she's actually sick i think she's got stuff wrong with her perhaps i don't think she spoke about any sort of diagnosis beyond not that it's not a sickness but addiction i just i just think she's amazing and also to like so plainly i really really rate when something happens perhaps in the public eye or whatever and then somebody will go back and just like confirm it all to be true like i think things are necessary not necessary but i feel like obviously they're not necessary necessary but i like when people don't like beat around the bush and like you never kind of know like beyonce what happened in that elevator it's like if that was me in the elevator and like my sister got caught beating on bill in an elevator like i'd have to be like right guys this will happen in the elevator do you know what i mean yeah but yeah but you gotta save it for the memoir as well because that shit's more monetizable well yeah but i think she yeah i just think she's amazing she is amazing even i've only watched bits of girls i think i've watched i'm thinking about season two or something um and i really like it but i just i'm not in a tv show moment at the moment yeah but she uh she sort of was on that like uh urban creative experience as a woman before which is like so cool now yeah uh before everyone else and did it way and she did it at 25 23 23 sorry 25 when it came out it came out yeah 23 when she started like she got the deal with which is insane because like she wasn't even in is crazy finished uni went to a film festival with her two mates met the safeties started like getting in with film making stuff met the safeties safeties like you should move into these studios moved into the studios with her the safeties greta gerwig or that lot start speaking about with them is writing writing writing her parents are like yeah we'll let you know when something's good she writes this film about her mom's diary her mom's like this is fucking amazing like i'll get they raised 20 000 pounds she makes this film with it they put they send it to like film festivals and then what's that called little little is it something towns or something um is it the one she made with her she have a sister or brother yes uh a sibling cyrus yeah that's they're not binary now okay um but was sister at the time which is saying the book right and they make it i think this is and then yes and then that then just started like blowing the fuck up at film festivals she won the festival and then like within she was then sent to la she gets an agent and then she's meeting with every single head of right and then everyone off is there a deal on an hbo like do you want to like a a pilot deal a big deal yeah and then and then like and then she says yes and then she has girls like she has the pilot for girls i'm like i i also find like do you know people's come-ups are really entertaining and like love and like sick to listen to because i'm just like i just love how easy it is some people and then like maybe they're just meant to do it like because my fucking come-ups have been fucking long or like do you know what i mean or like well that's an extraordinary that's an extraordinary one i feel like there's so many extraordinary people that have had so many like extraordinary come-ups and i find it really interesting i used to be obsessed with it as a kid like finding out how people got in the industry and stuff oh for sure i'm the same and then now like as an adult i'm like god it's such a slog that i'm like fuck me but you know that like it's not there are exceptions to the rule but even when it feels like it's overnight like it's yeah it's really not yeah it's really not for sure but like that is an exceptional one especially in that world of and she just knows writing and tv yeah and it just sounded like the right time uh i suppose it is when you get in the industry i suppose you don't really realize it's made me think a lot about my life and kind of like back to me uh no but it's like made me think about like you know who we kick it back with yeah who in five years is going to be like the top of the game right you know what i mean hopefully i will know but you know what i mean like it's made me think like that i'm like oh god like we actually are just at the start of things right now and and so much of her early success will have been down to the fact that she was hanging out with yeah the safety yeah yeah um you got to be in the right place at the right time scene scene is important guys but i think it is the important thing me and bill were talking about this morning on our walk around where like you need to be in the scene ultimately you need to be in the scene for one and then two you need to then work whilst you're there because i think there are we were talking about the opposite side of things where someone's in the scene and then they don't do anything there's been so many girls i know that were like around the clubs and would like host and do things and so many come to mind where you're like oh my god they're going to do amazing things and then they just kind of like which is fine that they don't want that anymore but i've met so many amazing performers that were kind of like given the opportunity and we're just kind of like yeah i'm not off but it's not it's not just about the connections and the opportunity it's about like what you do with it and luck but like yeah no but as in the the advantage of being in a scene isn't just um opportunity as well as like i don't know um it pushes you to be better as well like like the kind of the standard and the level of people you will be with if in a good scene will make you a way better we'll make it as well.

37:42Yeah, I agree. Um, but she is fascinating for sure. And she's a great, she's a great mind. She's very easy to listen to. She had her other bar was that, I don't know what she was talking about it in reference to about what her issue was, but she was like, um, we cannot separate what we desire from what we fear. And I was like, that explains everything. Yeah. we cannot separate what we desire from what we fear me with the old men when I was 14 on King me with the scat when you finally find your thing you want the whole world to know about that thing so you use a thing called Canva to make it an even bigger and better thing whether you want to create flyers for that thing make presentations for that thing or design merch for that thing you can do anything so people can see your thing feel your thing love your thing the next thing you know it's a thing canva the thing that makes anything a thing i get so many headaches every month it could be chronic migraine 15 or more headache days a month each lasting four hours or more botox on a botulinum toxin a prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine it's not for those who have 14 or fewer headache days a month prescription Potox is injected by your doctor.

39:05Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection, causing serious symptoms. Allerge your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems, or muscle weakness can be signs of a life-threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue, and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms, and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions, including ALS Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert-Eaton syndrome, and medications, including botulinum toxins, as these may increase the risk of serious side effects.

39:40Why wait? Ask your doctor. Visit BotoxChronicMigraine.com or call 1-800-44-BOTOX to learn more.

39:57What next? The dance floor is dead. We're going to rock out. Hi. Hi. Hi, my name's Charlie XCX, and due to a surplus of LaCruzze crockpots, the dance floor is dead and rock is back. Hi, my name is Charlie XCX. I've been listening to Emil and the Sniffers, and this is my new album. Album. Guys, I think it should be on SketchUp. I think it should be on SNL UK 2, season 2. You need to make more sketches then. no they should just ask me and i'll just be more skeptics that's not how it works guys that's not how it works it's a bit who's gonna get dropped al nash not gonna get dropped because he's great but al nash hilarious guy hilarious brilliant maybe have a break from doing adverts for a bit oh is he in the bear adverts maybe it's because I'm a straight man I get served So many Al Nash adverts Yeah For like money supermarket Or something Really I've not seen it He's getting huge ads man Me and my feel Demisexual ad Oh my god I'm so glad You brought it up What is that I did not know How much I did not know How much usage I signed on for It wasn't Fucking happy Tuesdays man Girl The demisexual one People like I saw you on ad The other day I'm like what ad How long are they Running this fucking ad for I should, shall I check?

41:25Babe, you're not a demisexual. You're a demigorgon. Like it's so bad. Babe, the difference between demisexual and demiromantic is, it's so bad. Am I allowed to say it's bad? Anyway, I'm so grateful. Yeah. You're so grateful. So grateful. It's for, you know, it's for a certain audience. It's not your usual tone of voice online. Yeah. I don't. Yeah. Anyway, they've been hammering marketing in general recently. Good for them. good for them good for you uh we're not going to discuss who's going to get kicked off snl obviously because replace them with us too that's horrible okay um and we've already discussed it um field not field charlie charlie xia has said the dance floor is dead did you read yeah if you haven't been if you've been living under a rock as i always say i'm so funny the uh the dance floor is dead so now we're making rock music um which and who was that straight man that was like babe the dance floor is not the dance floor is actually not dead and the dance floor was started by black and trans queer people in america who said it i screenshot so charlie you need to check yourself as someone with a predominantly queer audience are people saying that they no i'm completely uh strong i can't remember who said it but they do say in the article as well um they're like you think of all the boring think pieces this is gonna this is gonna start what is it either like charlotte sex is amazing because she just like says things exactly and it just like how winds people up in in like 10 words or less she has so eloquently and succinctly not just like said something rage-baited or controversial or that will like get people talking but she's also like just positioned her album yeah prove that she's still in charge it's so the dance floor is dead and it's so it's how many words that it's both so simultaneously stupid and genius it's genius she's the best it's so broad and meaningless like i i feel like any sort of take about like the dance like dance music is dead rock music is cool the culture is now both so like it's so massive and fast changing that like that sort of statement you could make a million arguments for and a million arguments against but the crucial thing is is that it's rage bait because she's just pr'd the fuck out a new album and it's just positioned it's just positioned she's the best she's the best and so finally if you are listening to this i think this is the album cycle you decide to come on the pod yeah come on now you're taking the piss i think and i know you've seen these because you told me last summer yeah and you said you saw my tiktok so make it happen if you don't want to completely lose the respect of um the london scene you'll come on the pod come on the pod to save your career hello um don't worry the head of atlantic uh has that email because we've been emailing about other things we'll pay just let him know yeah we'll get the ubers do not worry um but do you we'll get it it's fine do you you don't have any sort of genuine feeling towards that statement because you don't you're you're not that interested in dance music anyway or like do you no but dance music is dance i don't believe in any scene now like there's not it was i remember back in the day do you know when they're like disco's dead and that whole like politician did that thing in america disco being dead and then he was like burning all these records in like a stadium like it wasn't like i guarantee you could go to the club and like still hear disco music you just go to the disco club not like the fucking rock club yeah disco is dead you're right we still we studied it at school apologies chat oh the 1979 killed disco in a notorious the 1979 riot that killed disco uh steve dahl detonated a dumpster filled with disco records between white socks games at comiskey yes that was it yeah um dahl claimed that disco was probably on its way out but admitted that his stunt hastened its demise nile rogers of the disco group chic told biography daryl easley it felt like to us like a nazi book burning but yeah it's never dead it's never dead and who fucking cares like she's pring the album she's doing rock now that's fierce beyonce's coming back with a rock album rock's in indie sleaze is in it's back yeah and can i say that like this has been happening for years i would say like yeah that people who make predominantly electronic music are like let's pick up a guitar yeah because i feel like it's like obviously dance music feels like it expands like every year but like if you compare dance music now to like i don't know pre pre boiler room yeah it's just gone exponentially massive and then i feel like it's it's still dance music is the best clubs it's so fun but as you as you age and as dance music gets bigger like you're just like you crave something more immediate and maybe something more emotional emotional not to say that the dance music can't be emotional because it can rob improves that but like you know once you've been to two boiler rooms yeah you're fine you'll always be able to five dance music yeah we were just gonna rock out more and wear a bit of leather and do indie sleeve but also like maybe i don't know the only the only thing i find that is true in it is that like clubbing has now become this massive thing that's often like streamed or like it's at drum sheds or and there's obviously still a million alternatives to that but like stuff that's associated and like the great thing about guitars and stuff is that it feels more live whereas they're like it was so cool that charlie did all this like djing thing because it was like the party and whatever but like but the gag is if you're a real charlie xx fan from the album 14 she was an indie rocker back then true what's the what's the punk album 14 you mean like the first album like watch the rain do you mean like francesca no no like 2013 or 14 or something oh sucker sucker sucker yeah that had loads of guitars on yeah i'm just gonna get another sucker that's fun fuck you sucker i remember going to see that tour she said you wanna bang bang bang yeah well fuck you she's like put your middle fingers up and then I met her outside took a photo really?

48:14yeah what of her or with her? with her we waited outside she was so fucking ill that day as well she's like guys I'm really sick and we were like lit and I was like 16 you've got a picture with Charlie yeah but like half my face in it I'm doing white person smile so I'm like

48:28which is like in like some like red dressing gown and red lipstick why you've got such nice teeth and I don't really know why I did it um yeah that was probably like 2014 um yeah so she's already done it i've seen it yeah she started room room records good times but i thought it was a great interview i think she's just a genius and she's great at provoking but also backing it up with like actually interesting and i like how she's just been like i'm coming back here's british vogue yeah fucking but she's pushing herself artistically you know yeah it would be obvious to do another dance record but it is also maybe not as controversial as i'd love to hear it i can't wait to hear it i bet it's like what do you think it's gonna be that's the i think that's the move like i think it's gonna be like you're always in my opinion yeah i might be wrong she'll always have her feet electronically for sure and also if it's produced by easy fun and ag there's no way that it's going to be the most because also like even thinking about like george for example 1975 um and everyone on there like fucking i can't remember her name what's her name the lesbian what's her name i don't know the lesbian where the lesbian chewing cotton wool the lesbian hid in your closet yeah bill uh the lesbian japanese house oh um all of them all of them make amazing guitar based music but it's so electronic too like japanese house yeah ag cook's done a lot of well not a lot george has done loads of it as well which is obviously what i mean is like i think this rock will be modern i don't mean modern rock isn't like easy easy i mean like maybe it will but i think it will be it won't leave no it's sort of indie indie dance maybe no i reckon it'd be more rocky i think it'd be dark i think it'd be like house really but more hitty yeah and also you're thinking about charlie xx who is the queen of hooks like i mean it's yeah i guess it's still char what we're in agreement on is it's not like she's gonna bring it she's not gonna have a band i don't know i think she might really i think she might yeah she had a band at sucker did she was all girls yeah she'll have a band i think she'll she'll do the whole fucking shebang yeah right but it's not gonna be band music i guess is what i don't know i feel like it could but it'll have electronic i think it will be like yeah electronic music with guitars basically i disagree i think it'll yeah i think she'll do like a whole like i think it'll give velvet underground bit heavier everyone keeps saying velvet underground it was in the interview it'll be velvet underground i don't think she's gonna make anything did you see when she came out in paris in that dress with what's that band called not fly no air when she's like that it'll be like i think it'll be like yoko no velvet underground tees i think it'll be very airy i think there'll be a lot of electronic on it but it'll be heavily guitar yeah i think that's what it's going to be and i think george might be helping on productive with aging easy fun it'll be fab yeah it's gonna be a fun i think i think it's gonna be i think she's just gonna drop the project as well i don't think there's gonna be singles i think it's just gonna be one bam thank you project you think atlantic would let her get away with that yeah she's charlie x yeah motherfucker i think it's gonna sound like like smurs or some or ml book or something okay i think yeah i think it'd be like ml bookie but I think it will be more hooky.

51:49Yeah. And more kind of bassy and dancey. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think less dancey than Smears though. I think it'll be rocky. I think she's back to rock chick. I don't think we're going to be like to it. Maybe I'm wrong. I wonder, because obviously another little kind of trend, I guess, is this sort of New York adjacent LCD. I don't think it'll be there. No, I think it's going to be darker. Harry Styles direction. No, it's going to be dark. I think that's already done. Yeah. Well, I think she would think that's already done. I think there might be like one or two moments like that on the record, if that.

52:27It might just be none. I think there'll be none. I think it's going to be grungier. I don't think that will light her flame.

58:10That all this shit This controversy about burners Do you care? Do you think our audience cares? Well I don't So we speak about this We went for lunch with a record label Me and Louis did A really cool one My favourite record label ever Yeah And we went for a lunch with them And we were talking about this whole thing About these burners Which is basically That everyone in the music industry Uses burners Spam accounts people claim that they don't but they do so it's basically this whole thing of like i don't know if you've seen it but it'd be like when i go to this shop i do this and it's just like a screenshot or like a slideshow of different images and they'll be like have a popular song under it and basically it's a label paying to and they're called burner accounts and basically the last few campaigns that have gone really big in the music industry have been quite full of burners yeah and that's why you have artists doing like spam pages and stuff just trying to like spam their even small artists do it yeah even small i i fucking i do it i post every day on my spam account i've got a still i reckon um which i just spam with music content um and it's like the thing but like every record label is doing it and there's like different places you can go to to pay like i mean the top one takes like 20 grand for a campaign because they know it's going to bank because they've got like a hundred different users ready to go basically um and people are trying to expose this as if that's going to offend people just ignore the spam bots like well or listen to them like they're pretty they're making good music so i mainly am kind of in the camp that i'm like this is fine this is like who cares this isn't a psyop oh yeah this i think that's a debate because there was something that came out saying that like geese was like a psyop which is just crazy which i actually didn't know what psyop meant like a manufactured well you've just made that up haven't you like a manufactured like social event or something which i guess you could argue if you're doing like a hundred accounts and they pose as real people um but that's not to say a hundred accounts are going to go to one person one might the reason people do it is because the algorithm is so strange a hundred people gives you more chance of you seeing one video with that song than one person posting that one song once it's a thing of chance so i don't actually think it's a psyop at all and also you can tell when something's a burner because it's like me when i go to the toilet and it's like a slideshow of like fucking i don't know zendaya in different met gala looks and it's just like photos of yeah with a song underneath like i don't think it is like but you'd be surprised like i'm gonna leave it at that well so i do this for work sometimes and i won't say who i've done it for but when i tell friends that that's what's happening that that's what's happening they do generally go like what which is surprising because like people are like exposing it as if people didn't know what's happening but like right i've known it's been happening for so long that i just don't right but you bill doesn't know what yeah but like does it affect it doesn't take away from the fact that like your brain's not being washed if you enjoy listening to geese you'll still listen to geese like i hear that i hear the crucial thing but i yeah which i think is is like i hear geese on those burners and i still don't like it yeah do you know what i mean like and that is at the base note right and then you scroll past and then you get served less geese burners yeah basically but the reason they did so well was because people liked the music yeah right so it's like it still has to click there are loads of burner campaigns that are even with chaotic good who are like incredibly big one of these big ones that is incredibly expensive to use like they still had like the thing that the article about geese being a style it was a fine article it was just the headline was a bit yeah clickbaity and it ignored the fact that like as we were saying the other day at this lunch like they were slowly building for a while like it's been around fucking ages cam winter had one of like the most critically acclaimed albums of the year they had a really good live reputation it was all pointing in the right direction and then cameron winter was going viral regardless of burners yeah and then they kind of threw money at a fire that was already burning which has been going on for the dawn of time that's music when music starts popping off yeah you'd be surprised at how much ad spend is put on it what i'm saying hundreds of thousands of pounds those songs that have a billion streams and none of them are organic the amount of money being pumped in to make money i can't believe surprises people yeah yeah like i like well i guess it's just a new version of like ads of ads or like yeah something that people are surprised by i'm trying to think of another thing i think it wouldn't happen if tiktok wasn't such a fucking ball egg to make anything happen because i've i've been seeing a lot of like tiktok shop people being like the way tiktok keeps changing its algorithm differently means that like people aren't getting seen so people that are able to like have tiktok shop and make a career out of it which is i did oh my god crazy in sync and sync just tim blake but i think that um it is that thing it's like like people i need a dht moment sorry that's okay but people on tiktok shop basically saying that like at one point tiktok was fun because you're able to make a career of it not from like posting but from selling now you're paying a shitload of money to get either i'd spend to get posted everywhere or you're lucky and like you're lucky you're fucking lucky and then at once like people are invited down to tiktok to be able to like speak about like thing and now like tiktok tells other people how they did it so then everyone copies how they did it now everyone's doing this and i need to think of a different way to do it the reason labels are doing this is because like well you can't not do it in a world where like you know and then now what you'll get some like fucking like or no not it's not do it and pop off and everyone like see that's how you do it but ultimately like it's the way that it's just headed at the minute just due to algorithms and so forth and like it's kind of like well yeah it's not i don't think it's any of the music fans business in my opinion like as a fan of music like and i'm not just saying that because i'm on a label but Like as a fan of music first, it's none of my idea and knowledge or like of any interest to me of how someone's marketed that thing.

1:04:35If I hear it and I like it, that's fine. That's for me. Right. If you see a video of Robin. Come on. On stage performing. I don't think. You don't care. Where's this fucking Robin spam page that she's fucking spamming? I don't give a fuck. You don't give a fuck if the label paid for that post or. No, because, oh my God, Robin's back. Because you love Robin. but it's the same like new artists like it's like you know it's genuinely when an artist starts trending babe and it might be their first video that pops off that's fine the next videos the ad spend that will be on the next few videos i promise you will be mad once something starts popping off that video is then paid for spent for yeah even if it's by the artist himself independent artists can do it too it'll be less so but they could still do it and put like spend under i remember piri actually shout out piri she was talking about how she was able to buy she it was a different thing about her career and other things but she was saying that when she was able to do one career that was able to pay for ad spend on tiktok which thus gave her her music career and she was saying like with ad spend and ads and like spam bots she was able to get the career that she got she's what i'm saying if you discovered piri that's great because she's and that's a great thing like that's the game like yeah it just is the game and like i've seen arguments that like this is just reinforcing like the issues of class in the music industry or like issues of inequality and like the major labels i actually way it's always been i feel like of all the sort of like music marketing techniques this is one that is more like it's so doable for everyone to do you get your mates get a group of your seven mates to make a tiktok account yeah you can make the videos just send them each a video every day or they just have to post a selfie with your song right and spam it with a stupid caption or whatever hopefully one picks up also this is the thing like labels go to people like louis people like me people like other people and spend money for them to do like for them to have a spam account in hopes it goes big there's so much money wasted in the music industry waiting for something to go big when one eventually goes big they will run to it and then make loads of money but until that moment there's so much money getting spaffed on the wall which actually if we stop looking at tiktok and start walking away from it like i'm not saying like boycotting tiktok but like i wish we lived in a world where it wasn't a thing where someone would pay 20 000 pounds towards spam bots instead of just like 20 000 pounds to an artist to live like it is all fucked but it's the way that it is because all we do is sit on our phones all day yeah like we can't get upset that fact because we made this issue for ourselves has it got really dark or am i having a joke it's got slightly darker outside but it's still okay um and like crucially at the thing of all this is i guess that we're like as we've spoken about past the peak of sort of artist-led social media i'm gonna break a song on tiktok i'm just gonna like make it go viral myself it's like people are jaded of seeing just an artist promote themselves and the age-old thing of like a more like stereotypical like press pr thing is that like you want to be seen from other places that aren't just yourself this is the main thing like you want it to feel at least uh simulated that like you are not in a you are not in a fucking vacuum just just shouting into the abyss this is the thing like i'm about to release project and like i've been like teasing a single for like a couple months so i've been figuring out how to release it and everyone's commenting like people were commenting like at first so like release this releases and now people comment like not bothered now and you're like all right then well from that post okay you might not be bothered but then if a fucking spam bot then puts it up again it's oh that song's finally out and reminds you like we live in this like two second economy where you're getting clicks all the fucking time and you're moving away constantly add bots and shit like that remind you whilst the artist has to do other shit like work and do other fucking stuff so i really don't see the issue with him i'm really surprised that people are trying to like drum up a storm i think this is such like false news i think it's so stupid but yeah i don't i i agree i think fundamentally i think it's just like a momentary i think it's a short-term thing because i think it's just like it's it's yeah it's just about being like ad literate it's just about like i'm trying to think of another example but it's like ai like it's about like saying seeing that video and knowing it's ai it's like oh it also just like when you it's like when it's it's a less scary example of like when you learn that like adverts online are based on like your yeah imagine on your cookies on your seeing my field ad and just skipping past it yeah that's what it is it's like seeing a spam page it'd be like when me and my friends go to the you don't even know that they're ads most of the time because they're they're not even ads it's just like it'll be like it'll be a photo dump of a random person with just the usage of the song guarantee half of the time that you see influencers lip syncing to a song it's been paid for i've done it i did it for some artists yeah like i've done it where i've like if i have put music that isn't my own underneath my thing i guarantee i've got paid for it there's promo in the song i guarantee i got paid for and i guess that a thing yeah a thing that people have an issue with the thing that terrifies people is that like they just don't know that they just don't know that's not yeah and of course it's not listed as an ad but then you are kind of like it's music is it really you can use it just as much as i can um but like people are paying for people's followers it's a real there's a business here that i think people yeah might feel like a bit like short-sighted or haven't like haven't short changed on i suppose but ultimately there's a business everywhere you look babe there's business in billboards outside there's a business on really great like marketing like there's a business everywhere you don't even realize half of the shit there's a business in your phone listening to you say you need new headphones and you get sold headphones for three days yeah like there's business everywhere and actually of all the sort of like horrors of business or whatever of marketing of social media of capitalism blah blah blah burners to me is like not it actually like it's a good way for young people to show that they're like knowledgeable or like there are loads of people who get it's a good it's a great way to get a job in the music industry is to run a fan account yes and then you get hired by a label yeah um which has which has been the case for like ages ages like you know you think of like lana stan accounts or something getting jobs at major label why why are you laughing you had one What Why are you laughing What Well because I've got one Yeah Not of my own No no no People have them for me As in you made Alana Sane account When you were a teenager No for me So I think Oh yeah Yeah yeah yeah Yeah But it's not me Yeah Wait what You're not seeing it No Yeah

1:11:31Why are you going on Sane account Because it's like It's like a minute That you do the thing Everyone's kicking off about you Oh oh yeah Yeah, but I do it as well. Everyone does it. Everyone who has a fan account, I guarantee there ain't a person behind that. Or if there is a person behind that. And I get, I get. Is that awful? Is that like behind the bar? But I get if people are shocked by it or if they, or if an artist thinks that like, I don't want to do that, it feels disingenuous. Yeah. I completely get that. But I also, it's just like, you have to make use of the tools at your disposal. And if you want to make edits with your song over it that aren't like you going like, did I just make the song of the summer?

1:12:09That being said, there'll be one fan account by the label and then a bunch of fan accounts will get made because of that fan account. And then there'll be like actual fans. Oh my God. And actually one thing I hate about Burners is that like there are now, I can now see the major label Burner from a fucking mind away. Oh, from far away. Yeah, because they're just not involved. Saw the best band I've ever seen last night. And they like, don't put the name of the band in it because they know people will comment. Yeah, there's one fan account of mine that I know is the label. the rest fears yeah because i've seen others yeah so guess go find it bitch but yeah it's just about like people knowing that that exists and then it's like oh i don't care i don't yeah i think you're i think most people will be the same as you they won't care how it's got to their feed yeah if it's whether they like it or they don't or they don't because if you don't like it say not interested yeah that's it that's it that's all um and in speaking of music promotion what do you think what do you think of um calling the paparazzi on yourself on yourself again that's a business in itself because sometimes has bill told you about the time he got packed in on the field well him and i don't know i'm gonna tell it fuck it um him and mazy were walking in on the fields when Game of the Arts is popping up.

1:13:29No, they went running. Bill went running one time in... I'll ask him if I ever can put this in. So if this is in, I've asked him. Him and Maisie went... Sophie's snoozing that up. Bill and Maisie went running for one time in London Fields and they got papped. But actually not paid papped. Really? Yeah, yeah. And it's so fucking funny. Bill in running leggings. Bless them. But fake paps. Everyone pays for fake. well they're not fake paps because they're real paps but like a lot of the time people pay for their own paps so if you see Love Island girls getting papped that's paid for basically unless it's like the week of Love Island finals yeah paps can be real but also paps also can be fake it's the same thing with the burners and fan accounts yeah exactly that's a perfect analogy paparazzi paid for when Julie Fox is in New York and out and about that's probably real paps when Julie Fox is walking around her house in LA or she's got a movie to promote or like probably might be real paps there's real paps and fake paps like there just is like and the real paps are still the fake paps because they're all the real pat but sometimes people call up the actual pap before it happens and of course there's overlap of when it's not intentional or when it wasn't the wildest thing is when they're real paps who's rang the paps that's always the thing that i get like when that no no no when they're real like as in like oh sorry doesn't want them there so bill getting right right right paps that was they've not rang them up so then who's done that in London Fields being like oh we just saw them out for a run do you know what I mean well I was imagining if it was a run that there wouldn't be enough time for someone to call I mean I don't know how quick Bill is what's it it's just like a pap there was just a pap there was just a pap about I mean to be honest not a worse place to be a pap like yeah it's probably a good place to be uh the image is well it's not even a funny image they're just like walking in running game it was just funny that Bill was like the one time I ever went for a run outside yeah he got paps but do you think Olivia Rodrigo or her manager called the paparazzi on her date with Cameron Wenter no really no she's just had a song come out also they can be friends I don't are we still friends yeah I just think they're friends really why you don't think they've got because she's just broken up what's you don't think they got bed cam who did she break up with her producer No, an actor Oh, the English actor who was in House of Guinness By the way, found out that was a thing last week Yeah They made a show about Guinness The house of it, yeah, like the story The house of Guinness The house The house of Guinness The girls are going to the house of Guinness Who cares about your poops?

But regardless, it's great promotion for her new single. and great little alignment like who's the kind of indie darling of right now who's got like pitch drooling and you don't like the song i don't not like the song i stand on it no olivia please i love you i really do love you you know all the words to just like heaven which is relatable to deja vu from the first album where she mentions a song in a song so you think she's repeating herself i think i hoped and it might still happen that by the third album with the same producer i'd get in another songwriter to switch it up okay that's all i'm saying i love the first two albums i guarantee i love this album too but i think that does hit a point with every artist where it's like she just put tovlo in the room with them see how far we get i think every artist needs to have like a panda bear santa gold no it's tea like yeah um but i think it is there is tea where like i hope that i've just finished the project it's coming out i i hope that in the next project i mean i'm already planning with other songwriters to get in with sam so we can like change up what we've done yeah but you also work great with sam babe i know we work great together but i think ultimately we can't give the same shit that we've gave oh for sure and you keep having uh you should keep pushing whereas i think some of the big divas who are really big in the industry have been like all right you've done that let's just run that again it's like i actually don't think that well it will she's massive and like good for her yeah why didn't you make an album with jack hanton off and then call margaret collie auntie margaret and with that you've been watch straight do you kidding oh hi Sophie do you want to do a um an agony aunt I would love nothing more than to answer one of our listeners stupid questions I kissed my best friend's brother and she got really mad at me and didn't speak to me for weeks and now we're going to Australia to stay with him for two weeks and I'm hashtag scared any advice love you both shout out to the Aussies by the way yeah we see you we see you Melbourne um I three on our list.

1:19:23I think you should just fuck him. And she needs to grow up. My brother used to fuck all my friends. It's horrible. Not all of them, but he got in a relationship with one of my besties. When I throw it back. When you throw it back. Get him sexy. Get him sexy. Get him sexy. So, but surely she can't. Is she saying before the trip? She's kissed him before. She got mad and now they're going to stay to his in Australia. Oh, they're staying with ease in Australia. Okay, sorry, I didn't catch that. Do you know how many fitties are in Australia? Yeah. Proper rugged surfer boys as well. Oh, you've got yourself a lovely tashed up lad.

1:20:06With their natural frosted tips and sensual bodies. Yeah. Lou's excited to go to Australia as well. Melbourne show when? Melbourne show when? I think Melbourne show next year. Okay. That's what I'm telling you. Okay, I hope so. Look, Australia, we see you, okay? Get him sexy. But you need to start getting the word around Melbourne that this is the podcast to listen to. And then the sooner you do that, the sooner we can come and see you. Yeah. And have a couple of schooners. Okay. I'm sorry. In regards to this person's issue with fancying her best friend's brother. Don't. There's plenty of men in the world.

1:20:46Yeah. And it's... I'm not I'm not averse to shagging your best friend's brother. You're a tar. Yeah. But when you're going on holiday with someone for an extended period of time, maybe just try and keep the peace a bit for both your sakes.
