Guests
Susan Crickin and Lewis Blewett (co-hosts). No other guests appear in the transcript.
Guest backgrounds
Susan Crickin is a musician/performer who discusses signing a record deal, touring, and mental health struggles while freelancing; Lewis Blewett is her co-host and frequent collaborator, also commenting on fashion, internet culture, and podcasting.
Key claims
2025 was a “fierce” year for both hosts; hate online and fashion criticism are “inexplicable” targets; heteroflexible/bi-curious labels are rising (hosts cite a 193% increase for “heteroflexible” self-identifiers); “cis men” should “give up” control/performative behavior and embrace pegging.
Notable examples
Sombra as “easiest target”; weakest styling includes Bershka faux-fur bomber (“misunderstood” on back) and fashion TikTok critics; biggest beefs: Cardi B vs Nicki Minaj, plus JT vs Santana; lowest moments include missing Prima due to severe mental health and a disastrous comedy set at “I Love My Wife” at Moth Club; Diva of the Year: Lily Allen.

0:58We'll be right back. they can't get me beat match me and welcome to the Diva Digest hello Susan Crickin it is so nice to have you on the show and it is so nice to be here Lewis Blewett it's been one year of the straight diva podcast cover yeah and to celebrate we're going straight back to our roots and looking back on the year that made us. It's been a lovely year and a perfect way to round this up is us wearing suits and thinking heavily about things. Yeah, if you haven't got the video on, turn it the fuck on. If you haven't got Smell-O-Vision on, I haven't washed today. And Louis is ponging.
1:45I'm joking, you're not. I'm kidding, you're not. I'm showered twice today. Twice? I haven't showered twice today. I showered this morning. Okay, good. Yeah. How are you feeling? did you have a good Christmas? Yeah I had a lovely Christmas Jamon
2:03I did yeah Jamon I did have a lovely Christmas I'm very anxious that I have ripped these well they're not ripped but we'll be able to just looking for an excuse to say where the suit's from I'm so nervous to say that I'm wearing Tom Brown but it's my boyfriend's Tom Brown so it's not my Tom Brown but well that's okay Tom Brown if you ever want us to do some hosting for you. We've got you, Tom Brown. For sure. Yeah, and if, like, End Clothing or Zara or Flat Spot, the skate brand, do you ever get anything from Flat Spot? Palace. Palace. Levi's. I actually do need another pair of jeans. Did you ever have a street wear?
2:45No. Never was a hype beast? No, I was more of, like, a freak. Okay, nice. Like, platform shoes and stuff. Not buffaloes, though, like, demonias. Proper freak. But you couldn't have got Supreme in Nottingham if you tried anyway. Oh no, but I did because I got the Nan Golden Club. Thank you. Got two things from the Nan Golden Club and I got one with the Velvet Underground Club. Well, good for you, girl. So I could have been in the basement. I didn't want to because I prefer to be in the attic. That's two episodes in a row we've mentioned the basement. The basement. The basement. There's rapey people in the basement.
3:13There's some bad men in the basement. They are awful men. Sue, I think, how was your year? Fierce, actually. Fierce, Jagdars. I did everything that I've ever wanted in my life, really. You said at the start of our first episode, the 2024 in review episode, that 2024 was the best year of your life. Absolutely. And this has topped it. This has topped it. Yeah. God. I've also been topping too. It's only downhill from here. It's not, because next year is going to be even better. Because you're going to start sucking it. Yeah. Because I'm going to flip flap it. Why has it been such a good year? Because I signed a record deal.
3:52Yeah. Equal record deal. And I signed away my rights I'm joking kidding I moved in with my partner I'm in love Went on tour Damn Do this every week People actually listen to it People come up to me every day Two people come up to me today Really? Saying that they listen to State Diva Just that they listen to it? Yeah and they were like And I love your music And I just want to eat Louis out That's what they said Right They usually say that Yeah yeah They say that every time And then, but yeah, what about your year? I think it's also probably been the best year of my life yet Yeah I think that it's just a bit, it feels a bit silly really Feels a bit mad that, to not have a real job Yeah That's also, yeah And like, and putting the things that you're, you know, you're dreaming of in motion Yeah and I don't know a year ago I was telling people I worked with that I was going to start a podcast and I think they very politely were like that's a great yeah that's a great idea yeah even when we started doing it I was like why are we doing this and release some music and lots of people said lovely things about it and I'm very happy with it and but i'd say more than anything just feel like i have such a brilliant group of friends and um and yeah had a great year yeah not with not without its complications no for sure i was thinking today that like it's been a not having a nine-to-five job makes you have to deal with a lot more thoughts i think deal with yourself more exactly yeah you don't have the kind of just the the socializing that you do i think honestly you can't win because it's like you either work a nine to five and you're mad at people who don't have a nine to five you hate the people you work with yeah or and then thus you hate people who are freelancing complain about it yeah or you're freelance kind of miss having a nine to five but you can't have a nine to five in the job that you're in yeah and have more time to focus kind of like not focus on yourself but belittle yourself so there's like no winning because people in the nine to five are like well why don't you just focus all that energy and be nice to yourself and it's like because you try waking up every day like you can't win it's all hell, capitalism is hell save me but at least you have our bill to keep thoughts at bay it's got food poisoning today lads chicken burger at the pub sounds like a you problem Bill hello Bill okay Sue without further ado, I've got my list you got your list?
6:36yeah I think I sent it to you in the correct order Yeah Which means that We will be starting the Diva Digest With our easiest targets Which is the only one that I haven't got But I probably I might hear what you're saying Okay cool I mean to be honest They're all kind of a similar vein Actually bar one maybe But these are kind of people that captured An inexplicable hatred of the internet Yeah up first and in pole position. I kind of have quite a lot of names for everyone and it may be like you should pick the winner. Okay. So in this category we have Sombra. Yeah. For obvious reasons. Yeah. Stratospheric Rise.
7:22Weird Nancy. Oh yeah, exactly. Almost forgot about that. Yeah. Maybe not so inexplicable then. We have Geese, who is more in the past month but I feel like everyone is salty at their success in an understandable way of like, they all went to private school. But often I just feel like it's such a lazy argument. It's like, of course the industry is too posh, but it's not Geese's fault. And I feel like there are much easier targets than Geese. Yeah, I think there are people who are bad at music and still went to private school. Do they look like they stink? Yes. Yes, they probably do. Did they have countless advantages and probably access to space as a result of their parents' wealth?
8:12Yes. Did they never have to work a day job? Well, Cameron Winter did go on the Part-Time Jobs 101 podcast. Have you ever seen that podcast? No. It's like a podcast that a guy does. I don't know the name of him. What was his part-time job? Working in a restaurant. Okay. What did you think it was going to be? Social media freelancing? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
8:37Elsewhere, in the easiest targets category, we have Donnie Stunners. Oh, yeah. I think we punched her a bit too much, so I might leave her be. Okay. And then we have Barry Keohan. Okay. Am I saying his name right? Barry Keoghan. Keoghan. Is your Tom Brown all right, love? No, I just... You're just begging it, aren't you? Guys, I am wearing Tom Brown. Guys, it's Tom Brown. That's nice. Where's it from? Tom Brown. No, no, no, not even where's it from. That's nice. Thanks, it's from Tom Brown. That's literally me. I opened the door, I was like, where's Tom Brown?
9:12Barry Keohan, whatever. Did he do anything? Did he cheat on Sabrina Carpenter? No, just a bit of a bag. Uh-oh. You got something you can't say? Yeah. Wow. He's a slippery fish. He's a slippery fish? I couldn't possibly work out what that meant. Well, do without what you will. Yeah, nice. But I just feel, I don't know. He's not the most charming guy, but I feel like... Who's that? Whenever I see a video of Barry Keoghan. Keoghan, sorry. That guy. That guy, Barry. Baza. Yeah. It's just so much hate. Yeah. So much hate. And there may be good reasons that I'm unaware of. But yeah, I don't know if there's a common thread, but I mean, they're all men.
9:56Yeah. Some more warranted than others. Who takes the cherry for you out of the group? Oh my god Somba, Geese, Donny or Barry? Between Somba and... Arbaza? Nah. Geese. Somba, no. Somba and Donny. You said you can't pick Donny. I know that's what I mean. So like concluding it has to be Somba. It does have to be Somba. Oh wait, oh my god. How is Youngblood not in this category? Because Youngblood isn't in a category. I don't understand. Like Youngblood doesn't exist in our spaces. He's non-binary. yeah he's non-binary wake that up well yeah I think even though I didn't put young blood down I think it's between young blood and somber just by it's like no matter how is he actually non-binary no are they non-binary sorry as far as I were it's like no matter it's kind of like Brooklyn Beckham syndrome it's like no matter how hard you this person tries yeah they have something that is immediately annoying about them to people.
11:04They're greats in the wrong way. They either think they don't deserve where they got to or that they're arrogant or just not good at what they do. And Youngblood, as much as I love to hate, has had a couple clips. Yeah, he's done some stuff. And at least he's funny. Yeah, I reckon he'd be alright. But I do like that Sombra song as well. Yeah. Who are we going for? Sombra. Okay. Up next We have the weakest styling moment of 2025 Okay I can go Where are you starting with this one? First year did start on me on my birthday This birthday? Yeah What we She wore a plain shirt It was Givenchy Oh I liked that It was I'm currently going through an identity crisis It was a bit Well I'm not That's a lie It was a bit yeezy But I quite liked it Yeah I quite liked it But it was like It was naff Talk the audience through If they haven't seen it It was I was trying to give is it Mike Skinner from the streets?
12:00Yeah. I was trying to give that. I was in a fresh pair of Adidas superstars. Can't stop playing at Southall House, by the way. Playing? Played the festival. He's playing there for New Year's. God, he's obsessed. Don't ask me how I know. So him, it was giving that baggy jean, Givenchy shirt. Yeah. Nice. Then from the photos. Big pointy collar on the shirt as well. Big pointy collar on the shirt. Nice collar. But it was just a bit naff. I feel just a bit naff at the minute. I do feel a bit naff on myself. But I just think it's this time of year. not like a cry for help type thing it's just more like a little bit now I probably need to buy some new clothes for myself.
12:33It's almost the time of year where I'm like least worried about my feeling shit I'm just wearing baggy jumpers I mean at least you wore like an outfit like I'm just that was one of my worst styling moments of 2025 is my Bershka faux fur hoodie foot she slimps in the lady gaga foot dress hello um to anyone who hasn't seen i got a uh faux fur hooded bomber jacket with my burshka voucher yeah and it was getting a lot of flack on friday night at su's birthday he looks like three hollis yeah exactly it's just like when you're in burshka and i and And they never made me sign a contract, so this is fine.
13:25But I was telling people, you think you've bought a normal jacket from Bershka. Yeah. And then I got a cropped bomber. Great. We'll get another cropped fucking bomber. And I'm like, this will blend in. This is fine. It's black. And then I turn around and it says misunderstood on the back of it. And that just says all you need to know about Bershka. Yeah, that it is misunderstood. So then I'm like, what the fuck am I going to get? I need a jacket. So I might as well just dress for comedy And that's what it comes down to Don't be afraid to dress for comedy Especially like me if you can't Really dress that well You can't dress well And you're wearing Tom Brown I'm wearing Tom Brown And then also my second choice Is any fashion critic on TikTok Nothing Grinds my gears Than seeing some faggot Who sat in his living room In like a toppy mic let's talk through the met gala let's talk let's talk about it yeah let's talk about the met gala outfits he's in maybe like a h &m collab with like i don't know mugh glare top jw anderson yeah and then he's just like being like in out off awful dreadful yeah love it love it and like he loves all the shit ones and then you go on his profile and he'll just wear like a really tight waistcoat on his way out on a night out and you're like i honestly there's something that i really hate about critics but especially fashion critics fashion critics specific like also tam france from queer eye despise that guy and i know he's someone like manchester queen it's like gone and like made it to hollywood like shut up what is it about time that you don't like it just does my head and he just talks and talks and talks like no on queer eye or off queer eye both like he'll just tell people no and like they're sat in a third about style and then they'll turn up in some like pinstripe boring suit yeah like right queen yeah like i just think i honestly and i think also as well especially with like fashion criticism i think it's mainly gay men that are doing it and then it's like girl it's given misogynistic but that's just another thing oh hello well i just think it's just like they're just like telling women what to wear and what not to wear it's like why don't you transition or shut your mouth it also seems like that up wow it seems like whenever i see those videos of like let's review these red carpet outfits yeah it's basically just the the the joke of it is it's just like it's just negative basically well yeah if you're like without any real additive and also as well like a lot of the time as well it's like a as as anything is nowadays but like it's a popularity contest so it's like they'll be like they'll say yes to the people who are followers and then just like gags on like random woman who might have been an extra in something or like even like is it ayaz do you know oh ilias ilias yeah was on the days 100 yeah he was so we um but i less about him um but like he's like good but like at least then he backs it up by wearing like couture everywhere he goes and he's like all wearing runway pieces and like backs it up with his own personal style i think it's just so off-putting when there's like people who clearly just don't know and just like i don't know i really hate do you know we're always i know we share our opinions on stuff but it's on like opinions of like things like about music or like whatever i just think with like clothes and stuff i don't know it really bores me i just think if you can back it up you carry on but i think a lot of the time it's just people who just like girl you're just sat in your cold living room put the heat on girl and it's also like ilias does like and he's friends with everyone he's friends like Alex Gonzalez is at every party.
16:59But before that, he was doing like really, he earned his right to be there. He was doing really funny. And really honest reviews, getting people together. And being a host, like almost what we were saying, like he did that thing on like, he hosted his own like viewing party, didn't he, in Paris and like shut it down. Yeah. And then shot it all on an iPhone 5. But like it's, but it is that thing, isn't it? It's, it's, I really have some, I don't know. It just boils my piss when I just see some gay, just some like gay, like a random fitted, like cropped, Bersh guitar, like just telling everybody else giving their opinion like shut up why are you coming for Bershka like that?
17:31I love Bershka love Bershka Bershka babe I would love my own fur hooded cropped jumper too my weakest styling moments of the year were Timmy and Kylie's all orange chrome hearts fair dudes yeah but I want to preface it with I think it's it was also fun yeah it's fun it's of the time yeah we'll remember it forever also had Benson Boone's Grammy jumpsuit didn't even see that It was like blue sequin. I did see that. I lied. Something like your nan would wear at the Blackpool Ballroom in 1955 or something. Scott McTominay, Scotland and Napoli footballer, accidentally dressing as a line judge to Wimbledon.
18:12Literally dressed like... As a line judge. The line judges are now extinct at Wimbledon, but they wear like... They're on the line calling it in or out. Okay. And he wore the exact same thing. Like oversized blue blazer. and then white trousers. And then finally, and probably my personal favourite, it was Gary Stevenson's Peruvian travelling hoodie. Oh, God. I don't even know what that is, but I can only imagine. Yeah, it's awful.
18:46Come on. No, I'm never going to find out. God bless Gary Stevenson. Oh, it's you. Oh, there it is. That. Like, you know, the hoodie you get travelling. Yeah, yeah. The hoodie you get travelling or a festival. The hoodie when you're about to tell everybody that you like Jesus. Yeah. Or you're starting to read, like, stones and chakras and shit. The hoodie that says you definitely have been to Summer Soul Sister Stonehead. Yeah. Which moves us on nicely, Sue, I think. Yeah. To the best beef of the year. I only have one Okay And it is Cardi B And Nicki And Nicki When that was happening It was like Another plane's hit the second tower Like it was like Every time it went It was like I don't think I I think I knew more about their beef Like I don't know Four years ago or something Yeah but it was like the real What was this year?
19:45They just started tweeting really Basically what was it? Just like the old times Cardi's I kicked off because Cardi's album cover is like With like crows or ravens on the front Right like saying am I the drama so then Nikki tweeted like an eagle which basically like kills crows and ravens or whatever, something like that Stretch? And then it like stopped, no no no but then it like she called and Cody answered and Cody just ate her up, like just ate her up Do you feel like you were Also my second favourite beef is JT and Santana because they're the ones like I actually rate those girls because they don't tweet, they'll go on, do you know the Twitter chat rooms where they're all talking and they were just saying some I understand Hannah's like talking about Lil Uzi And it's your birthday dinner Did you see that?
20:29And then when you were at the backstage here Wait how was Lil Uzi involved? Because Lil Uzi is JT's partner Oh And they've been together but everyone says there's a lavender marriage What's a lavender marriage? That Uzi's actually gay And he's like mean to JT Now she won't phone my clone I told her the little bitch that she got it just do better And And yes, that's basically the premise. And Santana was basically calling it out. And then she was just calling Santana some like absolute mad shit. Twitter chat rooms are really a lost art of beef. And you will never, ever catch me in one. No. Like getting online, getting on my microphone, just be like this bitch.
21:11Like no one can make me rise like that. Even TikTok live or Instagram live is pretty scary. I mean, if someone ever called me out, they're like, so I think it's a card. I'd be like, oh. Yeah. Do you know what I mean? I'd be like, okay, and what are you going to do? Yeah. Do you know what I mean? Why would you give them the platform? Yeah, why would you reply? Yeah. Stupid. Don't engage. Elsewhere on my beefs. Yeah, beefs, yeah. I've got HS Tiki Toki and Louis Theroux. Yeah, that was fun. Who knows where that's going to go in? Maybe potential doc impending. HS Tiki Toki and AI. Yeah.
21:47That was the best. I'm gay. that was so good going out on my gills tonight in dubai in full heels um lana and ethel taylor and charlie yeah taylor and charlie but i suppose that was the year before oh no but the taylor replied this year but that wasn't even beef that felt elon and trump okay oh yeah but i think my favorite which i only really found out about this week is the beckhams What? Oh yeah I know With Victoria and their daughter-in-law and stuff It kind of seems like Brooklyn's been exiled Yeah disowned yeah Brooklyn said that his parents Unfollowed him And then Cruz Parents unfollowing you is Crazy world Cruz who's currently releasing music And singing about giving girls head Is Posting stories Responding to Daily Mail showbiz headlines Really?
22:50Like saying that, you know, Brooklyn's saying that the parents have unfollowed. And then he's saying, my parents would never do such a thing. Brooklyn has blocked us. Which is crazy. You know, Brooklyn Beckham is obviously one of the easiest targets of all time. He's on it. If there's low hanging fruit, he's the apple that fell on Isaac Newton's head, girl. He's on the floor. He's defying gravity. You just get, it's like, yeah, literally. Honestly, you just opened his photography book and that photo of the elephant, like, photo of an elephant, you can't really see it though, or whatever he said.
23:28So, yeah. His food is getting better, though. Girl. His food is getting better. I'm going to give Brooklyn a chance in 2026, I'll tell you that much. I do feel bad for him, because he's tried. I wonder why he's been exiled. I think it's something to do with... It sounds a lot... It's the daughter-in-law. Yeah. Like, it's his wife. Nicole Ann Peltz. Yeah. It's feeling very Harry and Meghan. you were her but did you see that the dress that was done by victoria beckham basically my friend here's something my friend was working at victoria back at the time and like they were doing cuts and people getting fired and then victoria beckham comes in one day and she's like there will be no cap on how much you're spending on this dress like this dress or whatever it costs will be what it will be like it was like if if she wants like fabric that costs like thousands of thousands of pounds we get the fabric sorry what was the dress for her wedding oh so victoria did the dress okay but then when the dress came out girl that shit was unhemmed that shit was messy boots like now me being a fashion faggot but like no but like it was like in the papers like it was like the dress was so poorly made but they spent so much money and at the same time they were letting a bunch of people go at victoria beckham and it caused some like friction inside and that though it's always the wedding that's really the beginning of the end i think yeah i think also the daughter-in-law and the mother yeah the mother-in-law and the daughter wife that's something um oh me and iris law you and iris law has been good and i fear she might have like you need to respond girl she might have squashed it yeah i think she she wants to be friends uh you and iris law yeah the photo at the end the manga the way she's risen to it also but the way also you triggered her it's kind of like it's quite amazing that she's still thinking about it like i think that's more like and it's like iris good for you girl yeah but like and it's like no shade it's just more like the way you're on her mind girl it was such good no follow was that this year no follow was it this year that video it was january yeah god it was so good and it just yeah it came out of nowhere i didn't i didn't have it on my new year's resolutions i didn't have it on my forecast it just it just came to me um okay i don't know what wins there what was your one what was the first one you said mine was nikki nikki and cardi and then santana and jt i think lana and ethel was fun even though it's predictable because it was it was good for the scene but nothing happened right it was just it was kind of um because ethel immediately shut it down saying ethel kane's been blocked by london it had potential and never really yeah they could have thought um okay cool uh next up we have our lowest moments of the year so our biggest flops the thing is i spoke about mine whilst they were happening yeah but you know this is it's it's a it's the rap it's yeah it's the greatest hits yeah yeah yeah do you want to go first or am i Well I've got so many I've got nine and I don't know if I want I've got two Well to be honest I don't have to go through all nine Okay And actually well I've got one for you Which I don't know if you've written down You know I've written it down Because I know exactly what you're going to say Okay well why don't we start there You're going to say Prima Yeah
26:47So guys if you don't know If you are just tuning in but you probably do know I don't know if you really spoke fully spoke about it so basically i was becoming i was working a full-time job whilst doing this whilst slowly signing a record deal all at the same time uh kind of like partly moving into my boyfriend's house kind of like it was all everything and then i was explaining to louis over the weeks going up to it that like i was really not doing mentally well like i was really struggling i was exhausted i was run out i was not well basically what had happened was my boyfriend was going to Prima he goes Prima I'm looking after the house, fine Louis comes around in the morning, he's like how you feel, I'm like a bit peak actually to my discovery around that time everyone that I knew other than Louis had gone to Prima, so my best friends are there at Prima too, so they're all meeting up having a kiki I'm in my most mental health state ever, like lowest mental health state ever, like ever it made me go back to therapy it was that bad um and as you know i would rather not be in therapy but it made me go back and then i remember louie coming around and then me being like i'm really done out like i'm not well like everyone's like sending me messages like why aren't you here wish you were here which was just honestly even if i think about that weekend enough like it will it will make me feel exactly the same they're trying to make you feel better yeah they're trying to make me feel better inadvertently making laura's texting me being like just saw an only she's you really are my sister i'm like i've never fucking seen an only she's one of the favorite fucking artists but you're there with my boyfriend.
28:18I have a good time. Like it's like, and it's like, it's no one's fault. It's my fault. Like I could have gone. I could have bought a ticket. I was annoyed. The OP girls were there, kiki in with days. I was like, fuck, looks like I'm kiki. Everyone's having fun. And also like all of my support networks are like away. So I was texting. So I'm like, just like being mentally ill. Then there was just one evening where like I was just hysterically crying. I was just so not well. And then it was really strange. And then I called Bill. Oh, fine. going for a shower all how do i say that sound like i'm okay we have speakers we've got a bow system right like all of all of the audience have just lost sympathy it just went there like a pin all of it every loud just started playing addison ray was in the shower like i was on the floor of the shower like crying yeah and my whole house so i text me i was like have you just put that off he was like no so i was like wow i'm being haunted so i couldn't sleep that night anyway the next day woke up um and i just i just couldn't cope anymore so i rang my mom and i was like i'm no i rang bill and bill was like i think you're not doing too well like what's up and i was like i'm really really sick like i can't do work i can't bear going in like i'm really really sick and he was like babe you really do need a break like we were doing straight either as well and like also it was that time it's straight i don't know if you felt the same but i think we did january to summer yeah quite like yeah and i think balls deep yeah balls deep and then we obviously if someone comes around you get more jobs so i was doing like three jobs at the time trying to sign a record deal as well dying anyway i call him i'm crying i'm like i'm dying i don't know what to do and he's like literally leave the country leave the country and like at this point i made a bit of money i called my mom my mom's in bulgaria at this time and i was like mom i'm coming like i'm coming now like i don't know that's so like first world but i'm sorry bulgaria i'm coming yeah i'm going home um and i just called my mom and i was like have you got space to me she was like yeah i was like right and then i was in bulgaria within 24 hours but i was probably my lowest i still can't talk about that weekend and then when people but it's brought me so much joy like my friend lauren bill and lauren out in prima and they came back and they're having a great time without you and they and then whenever lauren and lauren introduces a friend to me and bill they're always like so how did you meet and then i have to sit there and be like so i was at home mentally ill and uh um but anyway so it's a sore spot for me so that was probably my lowest bit and then my second lowest bit is hey and why oh what crashing the car or listening to a bunch of oxbridge people talk about poetry just kind of like coming back to london and being like i have no idea what the fuck my life is anymore yeah that was a that was actually one of my favorite uh episodes that's one of my favorite episodes but it was dark that was a dark dark time like that felt dark like primo is bad but then I went on a holiday.
31:05Yeah. And you're going next year. Oh yeah, babe. You booked your tickets. Babe, we were early bird. Like, babe, I'm going, I bought my tickets, we booked a hotel, we're going. Book flights, and then I'm going for a holiday after. I'm going to Porto or Lisbon for like three days after. Oh, One of them. Well, yeah. The holiday after the holiday, decompress. Yeah. Come down. Hello. I'm not missing that again. I don't give a fuck. Book three days somewhere just to stay in the flat. Yeah. Honestly. What about you? What are yours? I'm just going to say, if any listeners haven't listened to that episode, Hay on Why Sue Nearly Dies, Lou Still Not By.
31:45Yeah. That's one of our best episodes. It is one of our best. And also, but it did open a lot of conversations about like class and about, it's a very interesting episode actually. Class through the lens of friendship, but also food. Through relationships, through food, through, oh my God, food. Yeah, that was food. I was crying in the food court at Hay and Wye festival I will never go there again Ever Yeah it was so fun, it was so nice just meeting like Like minded writers and like everyone kind of in the same boat No it's the most classist Event in the world And honestly genuinely if you I'm like I am middle class let's be real but like I'm like Northern middle class which I think is different to southern middle class I'm sorry I will down this hill But what I will say is even I felt like It was classist, it is honestly Hey and why And I had a lovely time I even met up with Bill's family as well That couldn't even say Bill's family was there Well like His sister and his mum were there Which was actually The saving grace of my whole weekend But it was more when you were alone And I was like I don't know where to go in this place Because it doesn't feel very accessible Yeah Everything was ticketed Everyone was a bit of a cunt Right It was And I wasn't even meant to be there So actually I just I just went there to spot my wife I was actually on the blacklist Yeah They didn't let me in Could you just please check That we're still recording I'm just paranoid
33:12Amazing, thank you so much Amazing Okay, so my lowest moments of the year I'll rattle through And you stop me where you want to explore Relapsing on vapes Yeah, that was Pete That's going away in January Best believe Getting kicked out of my friend's house For wrestling my friend Terry
33:35You actually got kicked out of that Yeah I actually got kicked out of my Terry's your mate I know but it was less Terry's reaction And more my friend Callum's reaction And he kicked you out Whose house it was And it was kind of getting to that point in the night Where everyone was getting a bit drunk and sloppy And he kicked you out And he actually followed through with it He was like get him out now That's weird and then i thought i got an uber home yeah but i'd actually uh so i get in an uber fall asleep wake up i'm at my mum's house go into my mum's house at 5am or whatever it is and then make some eggs on toast and then i'm like i don't want to wake up in my mum's house just get a car home Get an Uber back to my house in North London.
34:24That is so funny. Okay, so I'd say I love my wife three at Moth Club. Had a couple of bad moments. It was a good night in general. Who was on? Who was on? It was Tesney, Sophia Bartlett, Norman DeLoco, Wing, and Little Grandad. The one after the Dove Ellis one at Moth Club. Okay. I was Putridly stinking What smell it? In the Paul McCartney sweatsuit Oh the muffler one But the real low moment for me Was on the microphone I've kind of used I love my wife as like a Thing to kind of Try out your comedy We know Yeah And I made a joke about I said behind the bar we're giving out free jam we're giving out free donuts just ask for jam I can't even fucking say it now no laughs, silence, pin drop I was like that was my banker and then I thought it couldn't get any worse but then I shouted on the microphone shut the fuck up to the crowd because they kept talking during one of the sets what I will say about that night though is you did it on Halloween everyone was trying to get lit yeah and you did the most acoustic i love my wife ever like the first i love my wife was like me big softy big softy yeah the second was like don't fucking ellis for god's sake and then the third i love my wife might as well have been like it was like folky it was like gabrielle aplin yeah uh and then which was amazing but like spooky it It wasn't.
36:13Like, it was beautiful, but I felt bad for everyone playing because everyone was there to get lit. And, like, all the girlies that were there from, like, Straight Diva, who were so lovely, they'd come before a night out, and they were already lit. Like, there was a group of girls who I met who were so lovely, and they were litty. Like, I felt, I did feel, it's not that I felt bad for the bands, but I did, because I was... No, I felt really bad for the bands. I felt bad, but then I was having a chat, I was in a photo booth, I was kikiing about. It was also, it finished at 10.30, so everyone was, like...
36:42And he had to be out. Yeah. It was all kind of rushed. Getting kicked out of a cab for farting. Yeah, that was... Being sent hate mail by Donnie's Donna's expecting wife. Oh, yeah. That probably takes the cherry. That probably takes the cherry. That's the winning. For those that don't know, we understandably got quite an angry message from Donnie's Donna's wife around the time of the video going viral, who was kind of angry about how much hate he was getting on the internet, given that he, you know... Yeah, he just opened a sandwich shop. He just opened a sandwich shop, and that, you know, this is harming the chance of their baby's future.
37:22So we ignored it. So we ignored it. I was like, this doesn't feel like the time to reply. Yeah. It doesn't feel like, with my PR brain on. But we just... I don't think she had her PR brain on, though. We're just so happy that you're doing well now. Yeah, you're doing well now. Serving a much more kind of palatable, gentrified food in the form of chopped cheese and New York subs. And we hope your baby enjoys its first Christmas. Yeah, exactly. That was bad for myself. Not being able to do the London Marathon because I didn't get a beer, but then trying to do a run in anger and then only being able to run 2K before getting paralytically drunk.
38:01I do remember that. Do you think that's... It was more when we were in the park doing the episode and me and Bill were like, sat sunbathing, we were like, how was it? And you were like, it didn't. And we were like, right. And explained to me and Bill we were just like, right. Trying to get with two girls in one night who both had boyfriends. Oh, that's not bad. Being plagued by a mouse in my room for nine months only to kill it and then find out there was another mouse. Eesh. And lying to my friends about going on a hinge date. You really pranked out about that? Yeah. And I don't think that was that loud.
38:33That broke my heart a little bit to see you like that. But I think that might have just been like where we both were. Was that like rundown days? Rundown days. And I just don't like it when I lie to my friends. Yeah, I remember you saying. Then it's a problem. I think I gave you proper tough love back. What did you say? I was like, there's no fucking issue. What's your mate's issue? For context, I was watching the Wimbledon men's final with my friends. TV in the garden. Gorgeous day. Yeah. And I didn't tell my friends that I was going on a hinge day. because I was like, they're going to think, they're going to go like, Louis, you're a slag.
39:07Come on. Okay. And my friends don't have any problem with me being a slag. But it just felt bad hiding it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I immediately confessed the next day, I went on a hinge date. And they were like, cool, right? Anyway, I don't know what takes the cherry there. I'd probably say being sent hate mail by Donnie Donner's affecting wife. Okay, moving on. I think that, I just want to say for the final bit of that, year and we are we are going to leave donnie's honest to just be in 2026 gonna leave them be this last thing i say but my favorite thing is the other white creators that now go to his place and talk about how much he was bullied online as if any of it was for any reason no one bullied that man and to like move with it and everyone's like yep classic like oh what were they saying like classic online bombard and hate train and you're like, and everyone's just like, what are you talking about?

40:03And it's classic internet bullying. You're like, girl, it wasn't. It wasn't bullying at all. It was just a funny moment. It was a joke. It was a joke. And if they were Gen Z enough, they would have just been like, this is perfect springboard to get my new opportunity. Well, and they eventually did. Which they eventually did. But I think when shit like that happens, they're going like, look at James Charles. Got a career out of being awful. So ride it, Donnie. Anyway, donny philip defranco thank you for the laughs that you've given us this year yeah um and well he's actually he's coming back he's in the next category which is the straight man of the year oh um okay i have two um okay well tell me who they are one is pedro pascal okay because we all know that guy's gay.
40:55And the way people are still like, he's not, that is a gay man. But we can move with that one as we will. Um, and, well. Didn't know he had a trans sister. Yeah. Until today. Yeah. And so do you. Oh! And speaking of my second straight man of the year, it's you. Yes! Yeah, back of the net. Sorry, Bill. Um, that is it, really. Straight people did let me down. this year. Okay, wait, let's go into that. Well, because I said they were in. And you feel like they let you down. And I let them in and then you add Young Lean on a thing saying they're bringing like the nuclear family and like Catholicism back.
41:36Yeah. The Catholic church back. Catholicism. Yeah. And now Nicki Minaj just like sold herself out to a straight mind, so I'm just like, guys. Hey, but that's not our fault. I think it was. Yeah, it probably was. Your go. I'm going to reel off some names. Maybe you quick fire us once again. Okay. Angry Ginge. No. Kendrick Lamar. No. Did the Super Bowl and, like, bodied Drake. SD Kid. Yeah, fine. Bob Mortimer. Always. Justin Bieber. No. Steve Coogan. Uh, had a good Partridge TV series? I like him. Okay. Harris Dickinson. Okay. Yeah, I like Harris. Cameron Winter. Yeah, I mean, fair dues. Timmy Chalamet.
42:19Yeah I mean I'd like to go back on Kendrick So yeah for Kendrick actually Wraith9 the producer behind SD Kid Fake Mink But we don't know what he's like Could be a dickhead And Kershaw Kershaw is the guy That does the videos Where he's like he spits on the ground And then he like barges past someone And he's like wearing like Popstar in the bits Outfit Oh yeah, you really like him I just think he's fucking it Slu Slu Are you in enough? Get in babe No I am Come closer Slu's our money Who wins that? Slu Yeah Don't know why But Slu is just on my FYP I've never liked a video I just watched Came through with a different stance Money came through Like the disco dance Yeah, Slu Come on the pod Who Do you know him?
43:15Do you know his manager? I know his manager Yes because his manager followed me the other day. And he is a very good friend of mine and a very, very lovely man. Yeah, he slews fears. Okay, great. Love giving it to slews. Diva of the Year. Okay. Have you got anyone for this? You did that. Yeah, that was a late addition from me because I was like, well, we can't have straight man of the year and not have Diva. Diva of the Year, gosh. Not the strongest. No, no, no. An incredibly strong line. Well, I know who it is. It's Lily Allen is the Diva of the Year. Have you seen it on my screen? No, no, no.
43:44Wow, you just off dome. I think she might be winning a lot going down now into the other categories. Yeah, okay. Right, you go. Denise Welch. Fine, but not Deva every year. She's always been iconic. But, like, she's doing... She hasn't come out this year. She's interviewing at GQ Man of the Year, interviewing, like, Control and shit. But, babe, you... She was doing Loose Women. Babe, we're... No, don't put her down to that. Thank you. She was on Waterloo Road. No hate on Loose Women. No, we're not... This is not happening. Denise Welch has always been a national treasure and queen of Huns. She's always been the diva of the year For years But she's gone global I know but She's gone global I know but that's like When people were like Charlie's finally gone global I'm like nah She's been my diva of the year forever See what I mean The heads now Denise Welch has always been my girl She's been there for me When people haven't Thank you Even when she was Maxine's mum In Waterloo Road And then Maxine got shot And just before she got shot She goes You're a little boy And then he shot her You need knocking down Lily Allen was second on my list Pink Pantheress Tilly Norwood Zoella No but she hasn't done anything We made Zoella relevant this year Yeah true She hasn't done anything this year Addison Rae Yeah fair but like obvious And Sue I think I'll take that It's Lily Allen or me Why it's Lily Allen I've had a really good year You've had a good year as well um why is it lily allen because to come out with such a pr campaign that is so i think as women i think there's a lot of guilt that like sits in you like you might start so for example when i got majorly cheated on and like i came out of an abusive relationship i doxxed him on his instagram account i locked him out of it and i was like i am this person i'm a cheater and i started putting screenshots for this shit uh which is really peak and he got so many screenshots because I did it on Snapchat as well.
45:41Because I just thought, fuck it, if we're going down, let's swing. And it didn't make me feel good. Keep the fire burning. But she has kept that fire toxic burn inside of her stomach and she's riding it. She's on SNL. She's got Dakota Johnson on her side. She's like, I reckon she's going to do a different Madeleine every spot with a different celebrity. Because that'll be kind of like her Apple dance. I reckon it'll be a Madeleine. Okay. So, yeah. She really did fully commit to the bit. Oh, she said... One thing I like about Lily Allen is she does things full puss. So, it's Lily Allen. And she's still going.
46:21It's not done. The tour hasn't even started. And though she's had an amazing career, she has revived it in a massive way. Yeah, she's revived it and she... Not saying she was flopping. Amazing, too. She does look amazing. Okay, great. I did Person of the Year. Okay, it's either Funeral Stud. I don't know who Funeral Stud is. Lord, I got some things I need to say. Lord, I got some things I need to say. One, two, one, two, three, release them. Funeral Stud. Or Kate King again. Kate King? Again. Because did you see that producer has just come out saying that he was the person that was meant to do the Kate King documentary?
47:06Why do I know Kate? I don't know what it is that make you love you so going to cost a coffee medium and extra hot with two sugars on the top have a lovely day the one that deleted their social media yeah because she's kept another year online on the internet being the most relevant girl of all time despite having deleted all of her social media yeah how has she done that because she's fucking iconic what are you talking about how has she done that because she's Katie Louise King, babe. Five years ago, she posted her demographics on YouTube. Yeah, she's sick. Sweet. Going to Costa Coffee. I had Malala, Bonnie Blue and Alan Carr.
47:50Oh yeah, maybe Alan Carr. Worst collab of 2025, I have The Kooks bringing out Rebel Wilson for Gangster's Paradise at Reading 2025. I never got a worst collab. I think I sent it to you later. Okay, worst collab. Cressida Dick and Desert Island Discs Cressida Dick, Chief of the Police Going on Desert Island Discs First question Being about what they're going to do About combating phone snatchers Why do you think Ramming them with cars is going to help
48:25Worst collab I just basically wanted a way To talk about the kooks Bringing out Rebel Wilson Yeah I guess so The Straight Divas Over 25 Under 25 You had a great one for this Sam Bailey on TikTok Live singing Defying Gravity I similarly had Suzanne Suzanne Boyle As Timmy Chalamet refers to her Thanking Timmy Chalamet for the cosign But I think Sam Bailey wins Because I actually had to look up who Sam Bailey was The winner of X Factor I can't believe she won She's still singing And you know what Matt Cardle Is still about as well Matt Cardle's archived most of Instagram He's only got four posts Somebody's managing that Go Matt Bring the trilby back I'm doing Matt Cardle's socials I won't be surprised Oh wow Okay, so We're on to the biggest and baddest Sexiest, horniest, curious Segment Of the year It's time for Field Roar Okay folks It's been a big year for the fielders The spiritual healers And the formerly bicurious And speaking of the formerly bicurious Sue The number of lost souls That refer to themselves as heteroflexible Has increased by 193 % this year Because you logged on So Sue who are the winners And losers of this land grab By the flexitarians Who's winning because of that Who's winning because of the heteroflexible kind of takeover goth goth girls goth girls goth non-binary afab people avalon cafe yeah um who else who's losing yeah who's trans women probably trans women trans women having straight men messaging for a bit and then be like have you still got it yeah um we're probably losing there i would say it's like the the losers are the hard left and the hard right of the sexual yes it's it's It's the gay gays and the straight straights are losing.
50:32And then the kind of the centrists. Yeah, are the ones who win. The rest is politics are winning with the heteroflexible. Yes, exactly. Yeah. Who else could be winning? Like Torture Garden, the club night, because probably winning. Yeah, Kit Kat. Yeah, got a few more people going. The music industry. Yeah, the music industry. Role model. Yeah, somber fans are probably winning. The Beatles campaign, the Beatles movie campaign, Harris Dickinson, Joshua Connor. Yeah. Charlie XCX, probably getting a few more listens. For sure. For sure. Some straight boys being like, I'm going to have to listen to Charlie XCX to understand what this goth bitch is saying.
51:12Yeah, lads, if you want a way to fucking get tarts, just go to a Charlie XCX at the fucking, at all points east. Go see Charlie XCX and say you're bisexual. You don't have to be lads. Yeah, well, and speaking of that, I feel like the maybe the bi-curious are the losers of this as well because it's really I thought they'd be the winners well but like I see it as bi-curious are just like the millennial hetero flexible okay so they're kind of looking at that like you just you copied my whole flow word for word bar for bar yeah but how do you see it people like you were winning people like me are losing that's how i see it my love um elsewhere so it's a great note to end on yeah i think it is good um i think it is good um no i'm not gonna say that uh elsewhere susan uh cis men's hearts and holes were open with pegging increasing by over 200%.
52:16They may not be able to relinquish their control in public life, but in the bedroom, their holes were agape. Period. So, what do you think cis men should give up next? Breathing. Breathing. Stop getting pegged and just end it.
52:37What should they give up next? I don't know. Men's mental health. Yeah, men's mental health. Give that up. Probably drugs. Cooking. They should give up cooking again. Probably give up. Yeah. Please. Like performative cooking. Yeah. Cooking for Instagram, but not - Yeah, when lads are cooking on Instagram, they're like cutting and they're like looking at the camera like - And you're holding a baby while you're fucking cooking. Yeah. Go to the bedroom and get fucking pegged like a real man. Yeah. Would you get pegged? If I can get over the phobia of bum holes - It's fierce Jag Jaws. Pegging a man.
53:13Because you do ascend. Girls that want to peg, go ahead. Well, and everyone's chatting about how great it is. And guess what's happening at the back of the bus? I'm pegging that man. Sea China. Where's Sea China this year? I know she's come back. I hope she's okay. Yeah, stop cooking for fucking Cameron and start cooking for your fucking mum. Yeah, yeah. And go and get pegged. Yeah, please. But I'm not surprised at that statistic at all. No Because also Did you see That the top two Porn categories Were trans and lesbian Really What does that say I mean we don't want to do Pornhub On the field segment Yeah Yeah By the way guys The field segment's back Yeah Hi field For one time only For one time only Also Could a cis gay man Get pegged Would that ever happen Maybe Or wouldn't I just be getting No because then they're gay Babe Yeah, oh no.
54:10Yeah. Yeah. Like oh do you want to put a dildo on maybe if it was bigger Transmending yeah, yeah, okay So yeah, you will get this if this sounds like you please write into straight diva with two ways at gmail.com. Thank you Finally in the field role Statistics of the year sue generational divides were reflected in the bedroom as much as they were in politics with the most vanilla age groups being Gen X and boomers and the most bratty age groups being Gen Z I think you guys have been hanging around with the wrong boomers I've really I've fucked with some pretty fucking naughty boomers we're talking yeah no but they're coming to you because they know you're freaky no I go out searching for elderly homes P &O cruises Home base Flat roof pubs Flat roof pubs Mumsnet Yeah Like you just You don't know where to look man Finding gal on Mumsnet Yeah Fair dues girl I didn't know that Vanilla and Brat Were on Different Ends of the same spectrum Well one just says Missionary And the other one says pegging But No But was Brat Would that have been The thing The word On field Before Brat By Charlie XCX Yeah No, because Brat was already there before, I think.
55:29Really? I think so. I think. Sue. Hmm. Aww. Any other thoughts on the boomers and Gen X being vanilla and Gen Z being freaks? Let yourself go. Where the real goon is at? To be honest, I didn't know there were boomers and Gen X on field. But then there's this debate with trans women where it's kind of like, I think we even said it a bit with Sean where it was that kind of thing. It's like younger guys are into trans women because they get it a bit more. Do you know what I mean? So then you're looking towards people who are Gen Z because they've got a more forthcoming. Do you think we are on a one-way train to being more sexually liberal and explorative?
56:09Yes, for certain people when they're good at communicating, et cetera, et cetera. But it feels like the arrow is going in that direction if we compare ourselves to... I hope so, yeah, to what has come before. And that's a wonderful note to end the Field Raw segment on. Thanks, Field. Field, you've made our podcast very special over the past year. Yes, and you're keeping it afloat. Thank you so much. And we dressed up like news reporters just to do that segment. So I think what were your top five albums of 2025? Top five albums are Lord Virgin, George Riley, More Is More. Come on. Rose Grey, Louder Please, Rosalia's album that I forget the name of.
56:44Lugth. Lugth. And Lily Allen, West End Girl. Okay, great. You? I picked Nourished by Time, The Passionate Ones. okay Lou I've gone full just predictable pitchfork review actually there's one there's one different one now it's my time the passionate ones okay Lou Choke Enough sdkid rebel geese getting killed I do believe the hype and venturing ghost holding which is even more pitchfork than any of the other pitchfork you just chose that to be different I didn't I didn't yes I didn't it's you can check the fucking top songs 2025 it's jane remover's side project that's all just guitar okay and her being an emo and as much as i love jane remover going ham and making some of the most crazy modern sounding music i've ever heard when she when it's just her and a guitar man yeah thanks jane you make me feel so like honorable mentions justin bieber uh model actress and ear and blood orange blood orange but you know what and you know what i really think about an album and i think even though rosalie's was quite long yeah it still felt like it wasn't bloated blood orange's album even though i loved it yeah i really i really value an album being concise yeah i agree um if you had to pick one of yours that was your favorite is it lord what is lord yeah it's not necessarily my favorite album but statistically is my cousin of the year of hers of the year but why is it why is it top then?
58:13I think it gets a bit muddy at the end. But why is it still top regardless? It's not. They're not in any particular order. Oh, statistically, because I listen to it the most. Oh, I see. Okay, got you. Yeah. And then sometimes you just can't argue And I skip a lot. There's like three songs I skip on that. Sorry, Lord. Shuffle. Shuffle girl. What were your top five songs of 2025? Pussy Palace, Lily Allen, I Was Gooped, as everybody else was. Not Like That Anymore by Lily Young. a smash hit pop song that's also side noted with Dealer by Lola Young her singles from her latest album incredible incredible pop song I still haven't listened to it and Elton John the project I liked but like Elton John released an album this year no Elton John co-signed Dealer and said if this doesn't become a hit I'm going to give you my house and it didn't become a hit The Girls Who I think for obvious reasons I think come on that's a brilliant song but also Hit Me There by Sue I think You Sex Were by FK Twigs I know it technically came out last year.
59:10That's fine. But it had a re-up. The album came out this year. And Shapeshifter by Lorde is one of the best songs, I think. Yeah, good shout. When those strings come in on a second bit. That's a good list. What about you? Juanino, Sweden Freestyle. Gym Legacy, Father. Yeah. Nice, good. I think that album, though it was good, I was slightly underwhelmed with it. Yeah. But I think that song is incredible. Yeah, I agree. Justin Bieber's Sweet Spot with Sexy Red. Okay. I think it had the best top line of the year. Yeah. Play by James K and Tonight by Pink Panther S and I didn't put Pink Panther S in the top 5 because I don't think it was an album really and I will say this, I thought the project was amazing, the remix album wasn't I didn't know there was oh no I didn't know, I haven't listened to it so many features and it just didn't give they put all the featured artists as pluses plus plus plus it wasn't and it was like, even though I know it's kind of a bit it was too It was too remixy The original thing as well I would like to see her push the boat A bit out While still staying true to her style What was the 2025 cup of soup That filled our cup Our cup hath runneth over Moment of your year Chicken
1:00:30You? What? I didn't really get that It's my favourite soup of the year what was your what was like the the moment that filled your heart the most like the moment that was like i guess your best moment of the year but like doesn't maybe have to be kind of the moment where you felt the most love and grateful and wholesome for lack of a better word i honestly think this year has been full of it i think i am the most safe i've ever been I love being safe Yeah like safe and like But for like the first time in my life really I don't know there was a couple When I signed the record deal I signed it at home in the stairwell And my parents all sent me down some balloons And my sister sent me down some balloons and some cakes And then Bill went out for dinner And that was really beautiful Or I would say my birthday that's just gone I think I invited a few people Put it on my close friends And people actually came And then we all came back And it was like this beautiful moment of like oh my god like i love all these people in this room they all love each other and i actually got a really lovely message from lucy because i was like thanking everyone for coming and lucy mentioned me saying it was absolutely a blessing to like meet everybody you've got like a wonderful good friends and i think that means a lot to me but also like in base note and actually in truth and i know people will probably roll their eyes but like to be another bill and to like i just love that one so much he loves me so much and i've like never ever had that and like i don't know i I think I just would say to everyone, like girl, I've been in some bad relationships, babe, bad.
1:02:06But just living with him and being able to live in here is crazy. I would similarly say that my Cut Path Runneth Over, Cup of Soup moment of the year isn't a moment, but as a single person, I have learnt to appreciate the good examples of love in my life through my friends and you and Bill are definitely one of them. We love you so much. But I also have, oh, I love you too. But there's so many, I have so many friends who have relationships and I like, I love to joke how I hate about, you know, being the only single one, but there's so many great relationships and it does like, it gives you a good standard and example for what a loving relationship should be.
1:02:57so the only other thing I had was the painting that someone did of us that was amazing that was amazing amazing also when Shigo randomly shouted us out that was amazing I think also when we posted who wants our Patreon and the photo got like 2 ,000 likes immediately and then nobody signed that and also yeah I suppose also yeah yeah which I write No, people did sign up and then we didn't deliver at all. I think finally I would say, just every time we do the Agony Arts, and I know obviously like time moves on and the feeling necessarily doesn't stay the same, but like I just want to always stress that like, you know, it does mean a lot that like people actually write in and if we call people reply like that, this is the first year that that's ever happened and I'm not taking it for granted.
1:03:50And I don't think I ever will. I don't think we ever will really. As cool as like being in Dazed 100 is or whatever, like the real crazy thing is like how quick people respond to our stories or the fact that people trust us with offering advice to whatever's going on in their life or just the nice messages we get. Yeah. And like I'm still, I know I'll meet one, but I'm still yet to meet a dickhead who I've met in the street and is like, I love your podcast. Yeah. Okay that was Maybe my favourite segment yet How are you feeling? We have three segments left Yeah I'm happy And then we have four Our own musical review I didn't put anything there I feel like we've kind of done that Yeah That's been it It was fine It was great Brain rot of the year Okay I have Ashton Hall Daily Routine The guy that like Dunked his face in the water Oh yeah yeah yeah At like 5am, three times.
1:04:53Nice. Warning! Warning! I never find that funny. Really? Never find that funny. Okay, Bennett. Easter's got that juice. That was really... Terry Funbath ate with that one. Sack It All Off and Go Terrace. And the guy who wrote a song about going back to Leeds Uni, who I took the piss out of. And Jing Jing the Monkey. Do you know Jing Jing the Monkey? No. Okay, well, let's Bennett. those who know Jing Jing the monkey know he's his little monkey oh no I got so many the little old monkey who looks like a granny and just like eats food and just like bites people the kingdom of Kabbalah yeah Kabbalah Kabbalah Elise Wei that was yes that was such a good time Wake Up is good yeah Wake Up who started Wake Up did you know did you know did you know did you know those girls love those girls what are they called uh I just remember Nogginua, but that's not their names.
1:05:51Their names are Beatrice and... What's the other girl? You know who I mean. You know who I mean. You know. You know the legends. Yeah, God, I mean, there's so much. But I suppose Wake Up and Fierce Drag Jewels. And who started Fierce Drag Jewels? Fierce Drag Jewels is you and a year supplier of Fierce Drag Jewels. It's like a company for, like, drag. It was branded. It was corporate comms. Fierce is fierce. and then I just started adding Drag Jewels because So you started it? No I copied it from Rhys de Veil All my stims I copy from someone else Wake it up I copy from Charlie from Depeche Lode Wait Rhys de Veil came up with Fierce Drag Jewels No Rhys de Veil said it to me Fierce Drag Jewels is a company And it's like where did you get that old Fierce Drag Jewels Okay Our brain rot is clearly very mine's straight and yours is gay Yeah basically Fierce Drag Jewels wake it up it was kind of crazy Okay Wake Up's kind of mistress Isabel Brooke Let's do Wake Up I feel like Wake Up has been Yeah My favourite of yours Yeah that was fun Your favourite trends of the year Sue I've got some really quite soppy ones I think I would like to say Because she actually tagged the girls As her interview with Julia Fox today on Vogue But Shantae Joseph Is having a boyfriend embarrassing She did a follow up today That came out about relationships And it's an interview with Julia Fox and the music is No way The girls by Let's go And then she commented below saying Sue Sue I think what I've put in her song That's sick She is a legend Doesn't that sound like a trend No no but like it was everywhere It trended everywhere It got translated to every Vogue in the world Oh sorry You're saying Shanta the article she wrote Yeah Okay It was everywhere No no no I thought you were talking about your audio being tagged No no she just I'm also just saying that she's actually a legend She is a legend She's a legend Shout out Shanta Again She broke the internet She did She's probably the biggest moment of this year.
1:07:44She's got the girls talking. And it's been really nice to like see. I followed her when she had like 50 ,000 followers, 6 ,000. Now she's in like way past 100 ,000. It's like a few girl. Yeah. Like it's amazing. I hope she writes a book or something. Oh, she will. She's definitely got a book deal. She will. You can feel it. Okay, so I've had best trends of this year. Honestly, maybe I was being soppy. I was waiting for George today. And I put like sticking together and laughing as this all goes downhill. Aww. Like it's really getting peak out there. Yeah. But I think we are just, it is funny. Like everybody just making awful jokes.
1:08:18Nihilism. Yeah, nihilism. Just like, it actually is like masochism at this point. But it's just like everybody just like, you know, when something bad happens, you know, you could find a Lady Miss Kay video on TikTok. Someone's taking the piss out of it. And it may be distraction. It may be, what would Karl Marx call it? Opiate of the masses. Yeah, but it's just funny. But it's a warm, cosy blanket. Because it is peak. And eventually there will hit a time when we're older And like it will be easier for like trans individuals Or like black and brown people It will be easier But like you know Right now it's not For now all we've got is laughter And Charlie Kirk memes Yeah god Did you know I wrote that on that Nice Dressing like a man I wrote that Which is a bit of me Which may be out for 2026 And straight Diva guest episodes Wow I thought that was a good trend That was a good trend I don't think it will stop anytime soon Unless our audience say it Great I had Kent I feel like Kent's having a moment Yeah I was in Kent the other day And similarly like Localised meme pages There's the Kent meme page There's the Norfolk meme page There's the Waltham Forest meme page and I feel like it's really refreshing to not just have like East London memes you know we're really kind of leveling up the country people releasing lots of music or like similarly like people listening to albums more yeah I feel like the the idea of like social media being the only thing that like is crucial to people liking your music is like slowly fading not that it's not important but like i think the thing that is winning people over and making people love artists more than previous years is albums yeah and like thinking thinking less about like being less precious about releasing music and just releasing more music and i think that's a good thing i agree um house music scouse rap uh guitars and ai memes that worst trends of the year ai i have ai music ai music ai actors ai edits of songs like i've been used in general 60s soul versions of like oasis wonderwall yeah i was in a cab the other day he's like mate have you heard this yeah have you had it was a 60s soul edit of wonderwall um worst trends i really hate um kind of like i've really started to hate it at the minute uh there's like a i think this whole year has been a trend of people being like if i don't like you i don't fucking like you i'm gonna leave you and i'm gonna like i don't know whether it's just coming off my fyp but it's like stop talking to that person get rid of that person i think it's like the most unloving thing in the work being nasty yeah i just think it's really boring like it's like i can forgive you but i don't have to talk to you and shit like this it's like oh i'll be boring on your own it's creating individualism when actually right now we need to just have a giggle together because maybe the ship's going down and i'd rather be for sure less alone and similarly edge loading yeah for the sake of edge loading yeah i think also this like right uh wing politics kind of like topic of debate is if they actually debate instead of just shouting over women.
1:11:52That's literally one of mine. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like the, let's get 100 students versus one alt-right thinker and they're kind of slapped away. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's just like... It's not debate. It's not debate. That's not debate. And also, us two both having a mic and you're shouting at me. Yeah. That's not a debate, you're shouting. Yeah. And everyone's like, that's passionate. I'm like, babe, there's no points being made because I won't rise to it. but like and also if you're shouting at me i'm not going to talk because i'm not going to listen to it debate by all means let's yeah let's let's debate but like this kind of cartoon set up of like a hundred people so you don't want to debate you lost a debate it's like it's a debate no one loses a debate um that's the point of a fucking debate you freak performative calf core taking photos of yourself in a calf oh yeah just eat at the calf man just enjoy the fucking full english Nostalgia For 2016 For camcorders I love 2016 For Jamie Oliver's style I was actually thinking, yeah For iPod Nanos For iPhone 5Cs Yeah, that needs to stop American Apparel Yeah, love though 2016 though 2016 music I would like to bring back I actually was thinking about that today I was like, I'd love to do an EP Of like Features of some of my favourite artists In 2016 That's a cool idea Your Khalifas Because that is additive And that is bringing something new Yeah But just endlessly going Oh it used to be better before man Yeah no no no It wasn't No it was better now But like I think it was a brilliant time It was fun Or maybe it was better before But like Endlessly Losing your mind over How it was better before It's like It's not gonna get us anywhere Yeah Bands with more than five people Yeah Gooning Simmer meals Oh god Pseudo organic content Like Like Street interviews that are posing to be completely authentic and like spontaneous that aren't.
1:13:47Yeah. Almost forgot that this was the whole point. Oh, girl. There's no point to anything. And AI edits of songs. Yeah. Bloody hell, so I think that's the last segment. Did we do an agony on? Did we even... How long has it been? It's been... It's been two hours and 17 minutes. Has it? No. one hour and 17 minutes. Let's do a couple of agony arts. I think we should because it's like the final. But firstly, before we do the agony arts, I just want to say if you have tuned in just to this episode or any episode over the year, I just want to say thank you. And I know my beautiful straight friend here would also like to say thank you.
1:14:29Yes, I would. Yes. Sexy little thing. But going into 2026, you know, I met with George Riley, our beautiful friend of the pod and gorgeous artist today. And she said, I can't believe that you've only been doing this a year. We've had cosigns from Shy Girl. We've had Perfectly Imperfect. We've had Dazed. We've had so many people. We've grew over like 10 ,000 followers on both our accounts. It's now our job. We're super grateful. We've got beautiful group chats. Full of your guys chatting and just living your life. Shout out Luke. Shout out Em. Shout out Roo. Shout out anyone else. and the group track and it really does mean a lot so thank you for being here and more straight diva in 2026 and let's see where we can go I would like to New Year's resolution I'd like to do some more DJ sets I'd like to be doing I would I'd like to get more into DJing I'm not even kidding straight diva DJ sets what do you think so I think a year ago we decided that I've got to make this money yeah yeah babe so I think a year ago I had a day job babe but I like to start doing DJ sets I like to be doing panels I would like to do Straight Diva Live we are in talks about it it's very loose talks but we have been told by a place that they'd be happy to do it with us and we don't even have to do it there we should do it there we're going to do it there it's going to be sick no I think you said it great I would like to echo everything you said and yeah just reiterate that I know we complain a lot I know we moan a lot about everything but I can't stress enough how cool it is to be able to do this and to have just so much interest and love and weird relationship issues to deal with and hopefully in 2026 you can maybe you know give us some problems with career or long time goals or cheating on your husband.
1:16:39Yeah, yeah, we'd love that. Get married and then cheat and then write in. Yeah, please. Stop writing in about, you know, I like my friend, I don't know how to tell them. Yeah, bin them off. And in saying that, what have we got this week? I broke a phone apparently. Oh, we clipped a couple times. Oopsie. Oops, that'll be fine. That will be fine. um oh Alice has sent a voice note actually she said she's voicing it right okay you ready this is one minute long guys sorry I need to re-record this because the last one I sounded like a robot um okay my agony on for Stray Diva is is LinkedIn a good place to hook up with people and like sliding people's dms like is it giving low-key like sexy siren like office siren call or is it actually like really like pervy corporate like deeply unattractive um i'm asking because this year my ex tried to like slide back into my dms after 10 months of no contact via linkedin and i just thought it was a really fascinating sort of um comms to use um i think it's really divided like my friendship group there's very much like two camps um and i don't know where i sit with it i find it kind of low-key like really horny other people are like that it's like so inappropriate um and like so not sexy so yeah i just want to know your guys take on it because i think there are two camps here also one of my best friends used to send nudes on LinkedIn and again I think that's like so fantastic and like really fun and like filthy um but other people were like that is so not okay and you really can't do that so yeah just want to know like going into 26 like in terms of like dating law like do we think that LinkedIn is like like is it on the up is it going to become like quite like hot and sexy to like start sexting on LinkedIn um and like is connecting now then you're like sweating right I like really want to of your opinion wow christ one of the best questions we've ever had that's a beautiful question that is gorgeous linkedin uh intrinsically not a sexy place not a sexy place sliding in on linkedin sexy in my crazy but people take the opportunity i'm not gonna name who it was one of my beautiful friends gorgeous bod like just like stunner uploaded a photo in like a veil fair do they had a bikini on under the veil men were crawling into dms being like does does this like does this veil come with your bras and panties as well and shit like this like men will take on linkedin not on vinted oh let alone linkedin like linkedin i think vinted depop slide crazy grosses me a little bit but like i think linkedin's kind of fierce if you're sending nudes over linkedin that's funny also though but you must be aware you're not going to get the job but like maybe you are i don't know if we're if we're you know encouraging you know using our sexuality to um boost our social media prowess why is linkedin any different let yeah it's all about connections on there you know how else are we going to entice the heineken brand manager yeah um my butt yeah i don't know if i'm i think i'm anti-sending nudes on linkedin yeah nudes feels excessive i think let's slow down there and i think maybe it's not sexy that this is 10 months no contact and it's your ex i think that's a little not sexy yeah but as a concept using linkedin to slide in i'm into it i just read another question what is it so that's it for linkedin my pussy is too tight what advice would you have for me to get some mummy in there
1:20:33I don't know who sent this
1:20:39One plus here is too tight
1:20:48Well there's only a few things you can do really You can have a kid Guys honestly Right this is my thing I've sweared it before and I'll say it again Bottom in is hard right it hurts for a bit and then it doesn't hurt for a bit. Some people don't. Some people can just swallow it. Some people are nasty. But sometimes just taking a dick sometimes you just have to breathe in and pray. It is dreadful. Sometimes it does hurt. Whether you have a pussy or a bussy or both. That's why you made grit. Grit is about gritting my teeth and getting shagged. Big man is about a big member in me. No, but you just have to rock it, babe.
1:21:31Yeah. And I think a lot of it is to do with anxiety. Okay. I think if you tell yourself it's going to hurt, it's going to hurt. So, beta blocker. Beta blocker. Loads of drugs. Yeah. And drink. I'm kidding.
1:21:49Honestly, it's just a finger game. Finger, finger, finger, finger, finger. Lube and patience. Lube and patience. Finger, lubes and patience. Yeah. Sue I Think's debut memoir yeah finger lube patience and then my second memoir is called Rockin' on It yeah I think that's that's all to say on that really do we end it there or do you want another one I want one more okay trees the magic number I want to push one more out of you yeah oh someone says don't really have a question just want to say I love the pod you're awesome Oh. Okay. What's the best way to rebrand yourself for the new year? That's a great question to end on.
1:22:34Yeah. Okay. Estrogen. Move city. Move city. Move city, quit job, if you can, if you're safe to. Start a pottery class. Yeah. Do something nuts, like nuts. But do something that you wouldn't necessarily do. Start guitar lessons. do something silly yeah perhaps start like listening to like something like a genre reading a genre or like listening to a genre of something that you wouldn't usually listen to find a new creative team yeah and that sounds ridiculous but um you need to delegate who's gonna be your who's gonna be your stylist yeah who's gonna be your fashion friend yeah and who's gonna be your music friend who's gonna be your film friend yeah i think also what you can do too which i think is always good is i used to love wearing like when i used to dress like more weird i used to love putting an outfit that made me slightly uncomfortable and forced myself to go out of the house just to like give me that ego death that i needed to not care about let's push the boat out yeah there are some outfits i've left the house in that i was like i will die let's put some stripy tights on yeah stripy tights call me i'ma be i'ma be i'ma i'ma i'ma be um so yeah maybe be like stripy tights stripy tights piercing tattoo yeah tattoo that'll be doing move to australia get your hands tattooed and force yourself to be a podcaster quit drugs uh start music yeah um become an influencer vlog yeah vlog vlog there we go there is and that's us that's straight either happy new year tag us when you make your first vlog happy new year everyone yeah thanks for sticking with us genuinely means the world can't wait for 2026 hope you'll have a Great New Year.
