In short

April Fools/holiday greetings, internet culture (streaming vs privacy, Gen Z trends), celebrity/radio gossip (Scott Mills, Hugh Edwards, Kanye Wireless), and a weekend roundup of gigs and shoots. A major thread is trans visibility and experiences of transphobia, plus broader thoughts on queer venues and club culture.

Guests

No named guests appear in the transcript; it’s a duo-host conversation (Sue and Louis are referenced repeatedly) with recurring “agony aunt/mailbag” questions from listeners.

Guest backgrounds (as mentioned)

Sue is a trans woman and works in/around arts/media (BFI-related events, shoots, live sessions). Louis is a co-host/producer type involved in gigs and drinks at events.

Key claims

Streaming is mentally/creatively draining and often boring; trans people may need visibility but “seeing you” can feel condescending; Corsica Studios’ closure is partly due to noise complaints and becoming too mainstream/creepy; Kanye Wireless booking would be surprising given his recent comments.

Notable examples

Robin at Hackney Empire; multi-screen “George Tavern” performance at Shadwell; Corsica Studios closing; transphobic incident at McDonald’s; discussion of Clavicular (body mods/body dysmorphia) and Sidemen monetization.

1:09Happy Clocks. Happy Clocks going forwards. Yeah. Happy Good Friday. Happy Easter Monday. Yeah. Thank you, Jesus. Happy Feet. Lovely film about a penguin. Happy Feet. Happy Go Lucky. Yeah. Happy Gilmore. Wednesday so Waterloo Road's on tonight is that still it's been a long season no it's just as a kid I think it is it's just funny it's something we do just a little inside joke Corey's not on on Thursday I think it is crazy week we've had happy Kanye wireless day happy Kanye wireless day happy sex existential week happy is it really really real happy rest in peace Corsica week rest in peace Scott Mills week Scott Mills is a not Scott Mills is a not Scott Mills is a not which I was saying to Louis it surprised me and then I saw a photo of Scott Mills because you only hear his ear, you only hear him and I was like are we surprised?

2:21yeah I well you were saying you were surprised and I was saying I'm not yeah well yeah And when I saw a photo of him, I was like, oh, she's pumped. Her face is like. Yeah, it's juiced. It's juiced up. I didn't realize she's gay. She has a partner, a poor partner. Really? Yeah. Oh, girl, she's pumped, heavy on it. Pumped in the cheeks. I would never get cheek work. I'd get a load of work. I'd never get cheek work. Unless you're going to do a Sophie and get like the biggest cheekbone you've ever seen. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What a shame, Scott Mills. You nasty, nasty bastard. I can't say I was ever that much of a fan Who was?

2:59He was just there really I was reading a quote about him Poor kid though too, like it's actually peak It's really fucking peak Teenage boy at the centre of Scotland sexual festivals Under 16 Oh goodness Scott That's absolutely rank actually You couldn't just stick to being a mediocre breakfast DJ He replaced Zoe Ball in January 25 Lovely lovely Zoe Ball Bring back Zoe Ball, lovely lovely Zoe Ball And had the most listened to radio show in the country, apparently. It's quite impressive. He also is quoted as saying that he started his career on the BBC and he was really boring in his own words. But I can't find the exact quote.

3:40Okay. They talk about Hugh Edwards. Yeah. I mean, he's in the big league. God, is everyone just a fucking nun? He's in the big league. He's actually ranked. Yeah. Apparently, when you get rich, you just become a nun. It's like, ugh. Also, 355k at the BBC. What? Whoa. I didn't know you could get that much money at the BBC. How much does your mums get? Like 400 quid a show. If that. Oh, God, yeah. It's... I thought it was capped for like... But I mean, he is obviously... Like, why are you people nonsense? He's... He's just not being nonsense. He's one of the top 10 owners at the BBC. Like, he's obviously in a big, big league.

4:21Yeah. why is everyone a nonce because they get drunk off power yeah but I know but you can be like drunk off power and not be a nonce drunk off power and not be a nonce well apparently seemingly not sorry to the victim but I would like to just actually push back on that obviously there are a lot of nonce cases coming out it's crazy it's crazy it's really sad it's fucked up do you know what a jarring to me anyone younger than me you're jarring like I don't understand how you can be like 40 and be like do you know what i fancy a teenager there's nothing more annoying to me now than even seeing like teenagers in the street that pisses me off like go away out of my sight they're jarring jarring jarring loud girl no you freaks what you don't fancy a little no no that's not even bonnie's joke about no no just a little bit even when people are like I'm 23 I'm like good for you ho away away 23 is my man no man thoughts what have you dreadful 23 I'm 27 I know chat discuss no well to be honest I'm 27 and Bill's 31 so yeah you fucking slag you fucking pedo tease but I like yeah I wouldn't go out with anyone younger than me why not sorry we've gone from straight paedophilia to just going out with anyone younger than you.

5:46But it's an interesting discussion. Men are just minging. Men are really fucking minging. Not so rank. And you want a man to be mature. Yeah, older than me, I think. Yeah. Not like pappy. Not super old. Well, my age or older, yeah. Because also, I'm starting to realise they are such echo chambers now. Usually, do you know when it's like, what is it, every 12 years there's a new generation? Like, you know. Right, right, right. Like Gen Z, millennial. Yeah, millennial, whatever. I think that needs to change and it'd be like every three, four years. Trends are getting quicker. Yeah, yeah, it's getting quicker.

6:16Like skibbity toilet. Skibbity riz toilet. Boots. Well, similarly, I was thinking yesterday I was watching a fucking clavicular be interviewed and he got arrested. He did get arrested. He's also just not laying. You don't see it? No, he's not. Just because he's like hammered himself a jawline and a cheekbone doesn't make him laying. and he's got an awful personality and it's almost doing the, like, this like Lux Maxson is so shit because you're also, some people are pretty, some people aren't. You can get all the work in the world and still make you pretty. Because of your, because of your kind of demeanor.

6:54who you are, which makes it worse. But I think ultimately, like, he doesn't, he's not amazingly good looking. I think he's kind of not. Really? How do you spell his name? Clavicular. I mean, he's pretty kind of boring looking, I guess. Well, yeah, that's the thing. If I walk past him in the street, I would not think anything about it. But then I think people are weird when they look like aliens Do you know what I mean? Yeah, I think aliens are kind of hot He's not hot, babe You don't see it? No I mean, his personality Is awful His aesthetics That's edited I was going to say, that's a man with body dysmorphia And yeah I mean, he's definitely He's fucked up in many ways but the reason I bring him up bad to say uh there's one of those people that's like do you know when they do so many body modifications at by 30 they die yeah it's like girl I'm tired I don't know but in this interview he's obviously uh it's it's it's a weird one because he's obviously such a nihilistic person he's so I suppose it doesn't matter he doesn't think anything matters apart from looking good really and yet he's very very like well-spoken and eloquent it's a weird combination to uh witness but yeah the reason i brought him up is uh is that obviously we do a podcast yeah which appeals to the older part of gen z and millennials but um clav and um and all these other fucking guys you know everyone's fucking talking about jim's skin at the moment um like would you ever stream i started to think like shit maybe we should stream and then i kind of thought about it and i was like i'm not sure i'm willing to give up your privacy give up my privacy like that like i don't know if it's really a life i want also as well like you need like a big room that's empty yeah i feel like every every streamer's got like a gaming chair up to the camera and then they're in this just big room that hardly has anything in there neon lights and yeah like also um i think you'll find out just really boring and probably mentally ill i don't know how they do it where like there are lots of things in my life like i prep for like yeah yeah when do they prep like well they don't they're streaming every day but i think that thing is like with streaming like i think the world is going in two ways people are almost going to the opposite end where they don't want to know much or they want to know but in certain really concise really edited and very informative bites and then there's also like stream where it's like this endless gush of like fucking content and i think it's gosh i think it's swinging the other way it's gushing over there right which is like people wanting like really concise beautifully made stuff that is good and informative about something whereas like I think streamers are the final end of the like just kind of like watching people to watch them DIY completely yeah off the cuff authentic yeah making something having a point to content again you know I thought you're gonna go somewhere else where you're like you're either completely online or you're completely offline like but I think that stands with it as well um and speaking of streamers have you been keeping up to date with the sidemen inside Sue and which one of the sidemen would you let inside you?

10:21No, they're all minging. I see that Randolph has a McDonald's advert. Have you seen that on TikTok? I don't know which Randolph. He used to like produce for all of them. We're from the same village. And not in a rude way. I love Randolph. Everyone's like, he's really cool. I'm like, is he? Because it's a school girl. He wasn't, but that's okay. We're at the same school. Yeah. we went to the same school like we're from the same village what was he like at school like christian oh well like he used to hang around with all that he used to go to church like all the new churches and stuff okay they're like the christian lot and um for any new listeners who might have not heard it on uh the pub before what were you like at school the same but probably a bit meaner and gay so i had a going to church no no no not the same as them the same as i am now oh yeah yeah no honey i've never been to church but like randolph yeah and like him oh no i'm not trying to like dog out i can't believe that he's the person from my school that has a lot of followers but that's the appeal of the sidemen i think it's that they're all kind of weirdos quite um that was mean sorry i wasn't gonna say that i know that one slipped out sorry but they're very like they're kind of nerdy they're kind of slightly they're like middle class middle england guys who are very relatable for the average normie young male I suppose he's nice and he doesn't care whether I live or die so it doesn't matter and he'll be fine regardless one thing I will say is me and Bill have spoken about this, they are absolute geniuses on how to make money from the internet because no one will ever be them is the thing, you can't even try to recreate what they've done because it's, I think it's impossible to do that now.

12:06I think because they obtain all the space, in my opinion. So you wouldn't let any other sidemen inside you? No. Oh, the stench. KSI? All of their dicks smell bad. How much wood would a woodchuck wood if a woodchuck looked like you, bitch? When KSI won a Brit, I knew it was over for the music industry. What? Shut the fuck up. He did not win a Brit. 13:32what yeah what he was nominated yes oh my god the british is so fucking shit man i knew it was over well actually they had an all right year last year but jesus christ the thick of it that's did you hear that song oh is that the one i'm in the king I'm in the thick of it Everybody knows No no no no no no no no no It's awful It's really really bad It was like one of the most clowned on songs of last year And rightfully so Anyway he's He's trying But like good for them and I think they are geniuses It's just like I don't want to be around them In my life So but would you do a sort of We're getting on to kind of dystopia And just filming your whole life for removing all yourself of your privacy.

14:24I think people... Would you stream? Would you go on? Like, it's basically a big brother style thing. I'd stream for little things like, okay, for four hours I'm going to stream. But like, constantly, we don't want to see it as boring. And I also don't want people to talk to me a lot. Like, I get really overstimulated. I'm actually quite mentally ill. So like, I'm like, you know, you'd find it extremely boring. It's just me stimming at Bill. Like, if we streamed Sky when it was me, you were there, like, it would be so boring. yeah but that's the thing i think i don't really watch streams but me neither i've never ever probably are quite boring a lot of the time um well because you can i mean it's it's kind of like a podcast but it's it's like our podcast i would argue is more interesting but like because it's more concentrated but it's like it's just to check it's a clip economy but this but this is a thing where like we were saying with our podcast like when we're doing two episodes a week which we'll go back to like two's really enough because we have nothing else to say like there's not enough points do you know what i mean like yeah it would be extremely boring and then you would be like waiting for us to say something funny and we need to live life to be able to talk about it yeah exactly thank you that was really beautiful thank you um okay elsewhere in our week sue uh we had the privilege of going to see Robin at the Hackney Empire.

15:46Loved it. Why don't you talk us through your mental space before and after? So that day was the day. So I'm actually meant to be in Budapest right now. So I'm meant to be in another country where my partner is. And then basically the day before I was meant to fly, no, the day before he was, I'm coming home that day. So I was like, oh, great. I'll try and get you a guest this for Robin because we got guests this for Robin. So we're like, okay, cool. Like whatever, whatever, whatever. um day comes right the next day comes and he's like oh babe i'm not coming home anymore so you can go to budapest but the day of like the day before when he said um you can do he was basically like i was trying to change my name legally because i'm not changing my passport and he was like oh the cutoff's the end of march so you have to send your passport off so he was like oh now i'm coming home you don't need to come out here so change your passport so i changed my passport found out that i set my passport off and he was like oh no you can actually come because plans have reverted back to what they originally were reverted reverted back so i had this massive a breakdown because it was a store that brought the camel's back and the camel's back split in half so i was just mentally ill so i have this breakdown at the same time i start getting messages we get the confirmation we're going to robin which is fab that's me and then i get a message from foundation fm saying they'd love me to be on the mic for robin and the potential to be like interviewing robin so i'm finding this all about 5 p.m after crying all day like my eyes are fat like i've like swollen my face swollen my eyes and um and then i'm like i might be interviewing like my favorite all-time artist um and i was like shit so then we went to robin and i was in a bad mood wasn't i i felt sick how bad of a bad you were in a bad yeah and then we like sat down and they started playing handle me and i was like yeah i was like right we'll and then we got lit and then we went to the after party at ellie's which was fun i was on the mic foundation because it hasn't come out yet so hopefully when that comes out i'll actually get credited at the front of the video instead of the back uh just quickly on you at the gig it was like um it was like a kid having a tantrum and then you just you're putting like bluey or peppa pig on and then immediately they're just in a good mood i know because i love her so much and every song i was like i love this one i love this one and then it's like love is free came on i was like louis this one and i was like this the other thing the other thing i noticed is like your reaction to each new song was like um reminded me of like straight men at like a drum and bass rave like the same noise that they make was is when it's like oh i love this one i couldn't believe she was doing some deep cuts i was like yo it was amazing but the gag is so we went to the after party i didn't i was meant to interview robin she was there and she was with our friend nilce because lilsie's um friends with her and i'm not gonna beg i'm really not a beggar events like if i get like if we end up in the same space i'll go over but like i'm not gonna be like the rest of the influences and just swan around her and film her as if i know her yeah no hate to you guys no hate to you guys um just standing in the corner around robin yeah just like I love you forever So I was like I'm not gonna do that But it was amazing and like Wait sorry for context This was the after party of the Robin show At Ellie's At some place called Ellie's We were invited And then Robin shows up Like two hours in And we're pretty lit at this point And everyone's going crazy And she's kind of just sitting in the corner While the DJ's playing some of her music music uh the dj being lagoon she's oh yeah it was lagoon fuck at that point um and she's kind of just sitting in the corner doing photo ops and everyone else at the party is kind of just swarming around the people that are like i don't want to be a weirdo so like the people who are actually like musicians i was on the dance floor yeah we were all on the dance floor because it was like if she comes over here it'd be fun but like if she don't i didn't even know to be honest that she was there i was like is she there i knew she was clearly crowding people were crowding I'm not just going to stand there and film her I think that's really strange but I love her so much and I was like we'll meet another time for sure and in a better context where you don't have to like crawl to her and she'll actually want to have a chat she's been put to work she's around the UK at party party party at the minute so I was like alright she was in Manchester for Radio 6 and then she was at Rough Trade she did three Rough Trades in a day she was at Feel It which god bless her having to go to feel it party she's been she's done this before she's a she's a she's a pop star um but it was amazing we had a lovely time and the best thing about it was louis got all of the drinks in the at robin at the gig because he was like no this is your time and i just said if wherever lcd sound system together i'll be getting the drinks it was so fun though should i get us another round yeah and i was like no i can go and you're like no no no It's okay.

20:47So I really appreciate it. But it was so fun. It was incredible. I know like three Robin songs. I'll hold my hands up. But she was one of the best gigs I've ever seen. Yeah, it was amazing. 10 out of 10. And also, I just kept saying to Louie, I was like, isn't this so funny? We're in Hackney right now. Hackney Empire, which for context, if you don't know, Hackney Empire is a theater where usually they do comedy shows or plays. Yeah. I left my headphones there actually, so I need to go back and get them. Oh, yeah. But Have they got them? I haven't checked We'll just message Nothing Nothing again Nothing We need another pair See that you're giving them out to everyone Also nothing When will it be our turn to work with you girls?

21:27Yeah you fucking pricks You're working with everyone but us Yeah I saw one of their budgets the other day for a new op Which I'm sure I can't speak about But they got money Oh I know I know So we're waiting They must have some kind of Oil money or something Who are the oligarchs behind this? I'll tell you later But no, Robin was amazing The set design was incredible She was incredible She kind of does this thing where she's like She kind of mum dances But it's elevated mum dancing It was sick It feels quite Swedish I love her so much She was Dancing very comfortably in very very high heels yeah there was one stumble but she like pulled it off like it was just nothing um nothing we love headphones um she was fantastic yeah she was amazing um and yeah it was just spellbinding yeah and then uh moving on swiftly uh to another spellbinding performance um multi-screen play the george tavern multiple screen on saturn multiple screen Pay-per-view screens Yeah Was at the George Tavern On Saturday night How the fuck did it go girl?

22:47We blew the house down Did you? Yeah It was amazing It was amazing Three little pigs Three little pigs You what? You fucking want some You dickhead I'm talking to Sophie Not Susan Yeah But also We were on at 11.30 And the George Tavern Is as you know Quite a Gross place to be Yeah And just quite drunk It's a pub Is George The Shack Row What? Which one's George Tavern? George Tavern's the one That I love my wife was at Oh yeah, Shackwell No, Shackwell's in Doolstead Oh yeah, the Shackwell's a Shackwell They're kind of similar George Tavern is the one I think it's a Shackwell And it's in Shadwell That's what I meant to say Yes Shadwell, not Shadwell Yes Easy mistake to make We're not 11.30 Everyone was shit-faced Which was good for the loud ones Not good for the quiet ones Yeah I felt more comfortable As a front man Yeah I felt like I was commanding The stage more We had loads of technical difficulties Going in But it was all fine And And yeah the next one is on Friday the 8th of May At Jaguar Shoes if anyone is around Okay I'll come to that one I'm sorry I missed it That's a normal time Although I think we kind of suit late night I can't lie And then went straight Not straight to but slept And then went to the closing of Corsica Studios everyone and their mum was there which felt very um nice was it mad it was really great yeah um they had a great lineup everyone was on fantastic form everyone was very very thrilled to be there it wasn't too busy it felt oh sophie said to the other seat to the table um it felt very nostalgic i'm quite uh an anti-nostalgia person but it was nostalgic but it was nostalgic course because studios was the first club the first good club i ever went to first club i took a ping um and the dj first saw that the first night i ever went there was playing tonight no way move d and i just felt very um i don't know i uh i feel sometimes like cynical when people post about like the passing of musicians or or venues because i'm like like obviously it's sad but like i can't i kind of get like cynical in that i think people are being slightly performative about it or something and this was the first one that i was like oh oh, maybe I do get it now.

25:27I love it. Because I do think it, for better or for worse, did give me quite a lot of my personality. No, it is hard though. Because it's like, even when the glory closed, like a few years ago, that was crazy. And I like driving past it and I swear it's like an apartment block or like a shop or something. I drove past it the other day and I was like, I can't believe that closed. Like, I can't believe it. Yeah. And like, we all just get on like it's normal. It was like such a massive, like part of like, Why did the glory close? Noise complaints. Okay. So bad, I think. Well - People moved above it and then got surprised when it was loud.

26:02I'm like, you're at like the most iconic queer pop. Like, what the fuck? Do you know how long the glory was open for? Fucking ages. Yeah. I think that's the thing, right? Like - Did I find out? Yeah, I find out. The thing it made me think of with Corsica is that it has been open for 25 years, which is a decent stint. Like - Yeah. Obviously, it would be good if it could stay open. but like it made me think of like kind of should a club be open for that long like I think of somewhere like Fabric which has just in my opinion been shit for ages because it's just too popular so the crowd is like in my opinion quite creepy and weird the glory was 2014 to 2023 so like 10 years could have been longer I feel like with queer spaces it's different as well because at least historically there's been a lack of them yeah but my thing right is that like Korska Studios was open for 25 years as long as like new clubs and spaces open yeah it's not necessarily the worst thing in the world for a club to shut down because like firstly like the people running a club should be kind of part of the scene like I don't know if you should be 60 years old and running a club nor should nor like should you want to be because like it's just yeah girl fucking hellish yeah but the other thing is like yeah a club gets popular and then it just it like it becomes a victim of its own success yeah so that like the people who were originally there like in corsica's case in my experience it started to become filled with like people that went to fabric so like suits yeah and creeps for sure and then and then it just becomes too busy and then but like i don't know what the club is meant to do about that in that situation i suppose you can't you don't become an institution because it's the same i did a film for coco that still hasn't come out but like with coco it was so many different it was like the new romantics home and then it changed to like the skinheads home and all of these different things it's been around for 125 years but like it's been all of these homes where like you know the creeps would have moved on if it stayed open but ultimately like they're the thing that shuts it fucking down do you know what I mean like yeah so peak that's yeah I mean it's it's obviously very contingent on new places opening up and also I'll add new places opening up the aren't all in industrial estate yeah please I love the industrial states like they're freezing but like I can't be going to Meridian water or Enfield yeah what's the big one just opened the old Ikea um sheds we drove past it but was at last drum sheds and I was like girl and you'll never catch him so sorry you'll never catch you there dreadful you'll never catch you there but yeah that was a that was my crazy weekend pair that with a fucking hemorrhoid the size of a fucking golf ball so no women couldn't even get rimmed on the we couldn't even get fucking rimmed yeah I made up for it and what do you want to talk about my weekend maybe i'll just check this still recording i just checked we're still recording absolutely yes my weekend was fab i had a shoot with a well-known museum and i also shot for the next single finally got the shot got the shot i'm so fucking back oh why did i what what

31:19It's not like I'm trying to say it, is it? But we're basically about to start launching the next single, which I'm really, really excited for. But it's like this kind of stuff. But I'm like running around here. So that'll probably be the cover for the next single. That's cool. Where are we? It's an old 70s house. How did you find this location? That's sick. We played for a location shoot. It's kind of crazy. But we've done like this. Sue's doing the bridge position for anyone. But we've done a full live session It's going to be fab Oh it was the live session So I full Bailey J Milled it The performances are crazy I'm so excited to share them Wait sorry how did you Bailey J Milled it We set up a camera like that in one thing And then we did like five different takes And I'm like crawling around the floor It's fucking fierce I'm so excited to release it So anyway so that happened really happy and then so that took me all the way up to saturday evening got home was fucking knackered went to the pub anyway just for a light one and i'm getting absolutely twatted and then that then it was 10 so then i had to go home because i knew the clock was going forward i had to wake up at 6 a.m to do work for this uh this museum which i can't really announce but we were on location and that's where i got my recorder from and now i've got recorder yeah why don't you tell us about the recorder so this is my recorder um recorder i used to play recorder at school because i could play piano but i was i'm not going to learn to play piano because i already know how to play piano um and i've really enjoyed playing recorder what was i playing earlier oh yeah i can't i can't fall in love falling in love

33:25I Got it. I got a little video. It'll be it'll be on us

35:14I've been sending them to Bill and Bill must be like what the fuck is that oh that was I can't make you love me

35:25three notes

35:37I'm giving him my so yeah I fucking rocked it sounds like you've had quite a fucking and how did you celebrate uh celebrate celebrate I've not had sex in three weeks oh so so you're not feeling visibly trans

36:03no you're right you're right that's the problem that is the issue right here's my hot take okay um trans people need to give up

36:17no do is visible the first word you think of in in your trans experience it makes me it makes me think that like well it's just another day hi hello yeah we notice you yeah I see you it's like don't you just want to be normal I think in a few years eventually we'll be like that's a bit condescending right but you kind of need to have the visibility first yeah I think so to get to normalcy I think it is like yeah Yeah. It's like when people make videos, like trans people, I see you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Did you see the one that was going around? Munro asked a bunch of trans people to do this video.

36:55Thanks for asking me, Munro. I didn't get asked. And it was like, it was Anthony Lexer and she did, I'm trans and I sing. And everyone was like, I'm trans and I skateboard. And then Fizz, Sinclair did one and it was like, I'm trans and I waved at someone I thought was my friend today. Or something like that. It is so funny. and it was so sincere but like actually painful to watch and yeah I never get included in those things because I think they know I would just be like I'm trans and I like to fist do you know what I mean I think they know so I was like boring but yeah never got asked so many people got asked just like watching all your mutuals do things right anyway the girls but I did get invited to a screening by Maxine Maxine Heron and Talia at the BFI showing two Wong Fu have you seen that film two Wong Fu?

37:47No. I think so. Never even know that. It's fab. You should watch it. It's about drag queens. But it was like a bunch of trannies in a room and it was really amazing. It was really, really amazing. Like I've never been in a room full of so many trans people just like enjoying something. It was really, really beautiful. So Talia, I know you're listening to this. I love you very much and I think you're absolutely brilliant. I think she's so brilliant, Talia. I think she's like genuinely ethereal being that's just like, and I'll say that and she'll probably laugh at me and call me dickhead. But I think she's I just see her and I'm like, God, you are magical In every sense She's got a lot of strings to her bow She's got so many strings on her bow She works at the BFI And if you are in Glasgow, she's got a show all of June So you should go see it True multidisciplinary She's an artist Like an artist artist Usually when people are like that High up in Multiple art Spheres they're really boring to hang around yeah where she's where she's amazing yes he had a lovely time um wait but just back on visibility yeah right do you personally feel like you want to feel visible no i don't but that's me don't you want to feel safe and like just normal i'm lucky i do feel safe but i also know that like i've got like immense privilege in fact i'd like to not feel visible the way that we are because everyone's focused on you i really don't like it i'm just like leave me alone but that's just me if anyone there gets offended i'm just like my whole thing is like i have my little life i've done everything i need to do i'm just getting by like i always say like the least fun thing about me is i'm trans like it's like the least interesting thing about me um and i think they're obviously trans people need your help and like just like visibility like Like support, I think ultimately, as long as you know that you're like a good, oh, because I got transphobially abused at McDonald's.

39:48Did I tell you on Saturday night? Oh my God, no. Oh my God, it was so bad. So actually I didn't like, I didn't tell anyone because I was like, don't put a story because it's funny, but it was bad. Me and Lauren were out the other day and we were getting food and we walked into the establishment and this guy points at me, he does look homeless, no shade, but he goes, that's a fucking man, like loud. That's a fucking man. so I'm like don't get me wrong I'm just in like air max jeans and things I do like over the makeup on like I'm like I could be whatever whatever but I just thought it don't matter so we just I laughed because it was like we were quite drunk so it was quite funny I've never been in a position where I like wanted to fight more we go to the thing he gets up he gets up becomes over you're a fucking man you're a fucking man and me and Lauren as he's walking over we like laugh because we're not scared because me and Lauren are like I don't know what came over us but like I'm a girl from Lightingham she's a girl from Glasgow.

40:40We can, we can throw it down. Do you know what I mean? So she was like, you're going to have to back the fuck up. And I was like, I'm what? I'm what? Then this guy, then this guy comes over, he was at a gig around the corner of a band where the front man used to be in my DMs. So like, it's very like punk. It's very like, I love the Chinese. And he gets, and he like goes into like, he goes up to this, to this person. He's, he's from Manchester and he goes, fuck off to this man. And this man's like, fuck off. I'll try it. And he goes, do it then. and then he goes and sits down i'm like yeah sit down you freak and then he's like you're right and he walks us out in the end but i was like yeah it was crazy but it was crazy because one i'm not offended also calling a trans woman a man like gag it like well what was i born like i don't is that meant to offend me do you know what i mean like i don't find that offensive because i'm like well sorry and he was like shouting it like yeah like screaming to the restaurant yeah yeah no one cared well basically it sounded like he wanted to fight because this other lad came up to us after and said like oh my god what happened a bunch of boys he was starting on a bunch of boys outside and they were gonna fuck him up like they're like shoving him and stuff so i think he just like was this man that he was just looking for trouble yeah and he was and then he was like oh transphobic and then lauren was like yeah he's being transphobic and he just goes oh fucking hell should i let him kick him in i was like lol but it was what was really wonderful was like how many i think we're british people and everyone in the uk i think we're not like the most like kind outward facing but i think everyone does have everyone's back where it's just like why are you disturbing the peace like that it was crazy wait what why did you say that because of this guy from manchester well just everyone stood in this guy stood in this girl stood in me and lauren just like weren't gonna back down but like come on then like me and lauren so people showed up yeah yeah and then people came over the only people that didn't like with the staff but like i kind of guessed like the staff probably see loads of things happen right So anyway, so yeah, that happened Fucking hell So like on things of visibility I suppose that is important But like I'm That was the first time That's ever happened to me In what, like many years?

42:39Yeah Do you know what I mean? He was just mad Damn But I would have given him a fight Was he But we were so drunk Okay, here's the thing Yeah We need to think of a Non-disrespectful word That Can describe someone Who is Homeless and using hard drugs yeah there isn't uh well i'm not gonna say it but um was he of that persuasion is it like was he on was he was he on drugs yeah he was like yeah i think he was high and angry but the thing is what one thing i i i noticed about it was i think we get told you know people who read the news whatever and like are brainwashed by the media who like are blaming like immigrants or trans people or whatever when they're put face to face with that said person so this man had got me face to face and he was like you're a fucking man and i was like okay and we were like okay and what and then he he didn't know what to do with the anger that he's like made up for himself yeah and i found that like a very interesting yeah an interesting point to take from it because it was like okay this man's angry and like you said like not no offense to him like but he was on drugs like he must have been fucked up um like no offense no offense but like and he was like you know he had really dirty fingernails and i was like oh just to get smacked by that would really piss me off give me spots um but he um yeah it was interesting because it was like talking to him it was like okay like now what but he didn't know where to put his anger he was like well let's fight and it's like for what like no one's denying your claim if it means you'll go away i'm the biggest man you've ever met like do you know what i mean like now what like it's it's like that's the thing that i don't get it's like there's so much anger going around at the minute but not much not much theory behind yeah no theory or like or when they get face-to-face with the thing they don't know what to do because they realize that they're not actually angry at them they're angry at the system that's telling them that it's this thing that is the problem and i think that's so fucked and you're also very unintelligent so anyway well i think you probably disarmed him a bit yeah so everyone everyone by saying and what yeah we because i was like well okay like what if i what if i was okay i've got a beat on but other than that and it was a light beat anyway because i was like working the day so i was like well what now yeah so it's crazy but my faith in humanity was instantly restored because like basically well i'm glad to hear that because i maybe cynically don't know if i would have expected that i think weirdly maybe it's more likely on a saturday night that's why i like it like it's more likely it's more likely to happen on a saturday night and also simultaneously people are more likely to come and help you like you know not in a rude way like not to compare it to like i don't know like a psychopath or like you know you get all the crazy cunts that just like go and shoot people for no reason like some people just are fucked and like some people are mentally ill and you can't do it about it i mean i think he just was that you know he probably went and tried to fuck someone else up and they fucked him up but yeah it was i i just find it really funny like the whole thing wasn't offensive at all it was just like why is this happening and then like it was really funny to see just everyone be like right we'll all scrap then do you know what i mean me and lauren were like okay like we weren't like scared it was really weird like because usually i'm a bit like oh but like we just like laughed it was like funny you know we sat down but we didn't leave we like sat down ate our food and then left with the other come on yeah it was crazy held it down Yeah Good Well I'm not surprised You acted in such a Cordial manner Yeah it was just like It's not like you can't gag me with the trans thing You're like a man you're like this like okay And you're bothered Maybe we do need trans to invisibility Yeah I think we probably do It's not that I don't think It's not that I think it's bad I understand what you're saying It could be a better word I think so like it sounds condescending Yeah exactly And then obviously well intentioned but when people are like we're visible every day i see you it's like and it kind of reminds maybe this is fucked up it kind of reminds me of like the drawback of like valentine's day which is just going to make me sound like a dick the drawback the pullback of valentine's day like in the sense that like shouldn't we be doing this every day yeah yeah no for sure yeah yeah um but it's a it's a different thing when you start a kind of a point of disadvantage i get i know yeah um so happy trans day of visibility um what out a kanye wireless any thoughts what's going on there um like good for everyone that's going i don't i don't know if that would have happened i don't know if it's good like i don't that would have happened 10 years ago that someone that made comments like he did a year ago and songs like he did a year or two ago would be getting booked for wireless.

47:35That's crazy. Yeah. But maybe we don't want to contribute to the fucking... I'm not going to go. And you know he's my... One thing I will say about Kanye is I still bump some of his tunes. I'm sorry. Oh, for sure. I think this is the best album ever but I won't be going because I think some of the shit he's done is just fucking stupid. Yeah that's I think that's a fine place To draw the line Yeah I think I think most people Enjoy a lot of his music Still And That being said Blackhane shared it And so I think Blackhane Might be doing something for it Which is really exciting Uh oh Choreo Hopefully Because his stuff's sick And I love him from afar I don't think he realises How much I do love him from afar Shout out Blackhane We had a lovely time Shout out the White Hotel Yeah Shout out Manchester We see you let's do the brits set every year or something uh do we have any agony aunts or mail bags here's the thing we started our world we got some questions from our from our patreon chat if you want to be in our patreon chat join the patreon and you can be in our whatsapp community because we've commodified friendship uh sue what's more of an x snus or vapes uh vapes i don't mind it's not i don't even notice it i go snus okay i think both are for me at the moment just smoke but to be honest not many straight women do snus are you sure i think they're the one they're the demographic they do the most really we used to do them at uni because you couldn't get them in the uk at that time and like all of our swedish friends would bring them over because we were at them and everyone's all of our swedish friends yeah i know but they would but like we do them there and like i just think it makes me feel sick that i think you're addicted you're addicted to nicotine when you're doing snoss i think that's crazy nicotine when you do vapes as well yeah true when you're when you're up late at night or first thing in the morning and you've got the vape in the bed that's why i had to stop uh i would go oh it's tough vapes is like an adult pacifier and like the reliance on it and the dependency people have on it and like the way people carry it around like it's glued to their fucking hand is definitely unattractive but something about snus when people like literally are going like yeah like showing their whole gum they're getting up from the wedge out and then they my friend has got like a burn a burn a patch on his gums okay that's right so i'm gonna go snus Okay And then Luke asks Jesus Luke's asked Three fucking questions Something a friend and I discuss is how playlists have made music Actually no we're going to save that for next week That sounds like a big one If you had to choose one would you pick having a pimple Or a splinter in your arsehole A pimple because you can pop it and then you just get on it Yeah a pimple will pass A splinter Actually splinters do pass as well You'd have to get a splinter out I did have a pimple on my pubes the other day.

50:35It's not fun. Lasts a long time. No, not itchy. Not itchy. Okay. Don't have crabs. Don't have crabs. Your brother followed me the other day. Oh, did he? Yeah. Speaking of crabs. Yeah, yeah. And Lou, did you get your hemorrhoid sorted? No, it's bugging me a lot. I actually think I might have to go to the doctor. Get a finger up your bum, Bob. Get a finger up my bum. And also, I've, I heard recently a friend of a friend getting their like pipes cleaned a straight man like a colonic yeah yeah fun and i suddenly have convinced myself that that is what i need i do like every few days just because i can right well when i first heard about what he was doing i was finding it funny because i was like this is quite a blokey guy yeah yeah and i was like so he's just he's just douching yeah but then i found out no he's going really high getting his heart cleaned out for his arse and then i heard about like out when Elvis died he had six month old shit in his intestines so suddenly I'm paranoid that I have like super old shit in my shit honestly douche feels great I did like a really good session the other day and it just I felt maybe that's how I wore myself up yeah vocally right my first boyfriend now ex-boyfriend gave me scabies the first time we slept together he didn't tell me anything until I started itching a couple weeks later that he said oh yeah it might be scabies I had that I had that in October but got rid of it before I met you anyway long story short got rid of it and didn't dump him for another six months until this past May should have got rid of him instantly and now I really overthink the physical touch Jenny you wouldn't wish scabies on my worst enemy okay I like how that was just like a statement good for you diva good that you got rid of him I guess Well done.

52:28Big pat on the back for you. 26-year-old, small, hot, big, fanny, bye, lover girl. How do I break up with my boyfriend who is so kind and sweet but cringed and ugly? Help me. I think I just love being treated like a human by a man for once in my life. Daddy issues, XXO. But now I've awoken and realised he's just not for me. I realise he's a materialistic, performative male, lol. What's a kind way to do this, please? I'm usually brutal. Am I heartless? Am I evil? No, you just don't want to be with him anymore, which is like a shame, but ultimately like um you know if it's time to break up it's time to break up my love and uh sounds like um you may kind of be i don't know how to put this kindly have low standards but ultimately i think you said something once on the pod really yeah yeah you did yeah but i think it was really beautiful that you said like just because you got yourself out of a bad place and got with someone who was better doesn't mean that that has to be a final stop yeah this is just part the journey it's like you'll look back and go like okay i needed i needed that i needed that for what that time was i needed to be treated nicely yeah yeah and that's great intimately but if someone cringes you out you can't you can't it's never gonna go you can't fake a boner yeah you can try you can try but it's very very hard yeah um and you can find someone that gets your uh pp hard and uh never gonna say that again uh gets your dick hard and is really nice to you as well gorgeous hey sarah and sue and lou there hey sarah and sue and lou and shout out bill hope you are oh he is well who's bill i know honestly it's been three weeks i don't even quite remember his touch uh cheeky agony aren't for you here 23 year old fag moved to london at 17 currently doing a PhD in microbiology.

54:20I've been dating randoms on and off for the past five years and for some reason, the only men that want to commit are either drug addicts, have no aspirations. I'm obviously not a grind set person, but a goal wouldn't go amiss. Or seem nice, but end up cheating or lying, hence a previous DM about blown out gutless Berlin Fister, who I dated for a year. Would appreciate, gutless is horrible, would appreciate any advice on meeting men who aren't shit and getting them to stick around. Would obviously trap them into pregnancy, but I am biologically incapable. love you guys i hope you're enjoying the good weather and longer days sorry that this is long as fuck never apologize okay you just dating is just trying people out yeah and you just have to do like you gotta be willing to fail yeah and also it's like maybe it's the thing of you like leaving earlier i've just been like you're a bell like from the first like dating is really hard especially when you're outgoing and fun you seem fun because you've dm'd us a couple times you're funny where it's kind of like i find i found dating really fun but it's because i'm really fun and just having someone to bounce off and them laughing at me.

55:19I'm like, God, we had a good time, but they didn't really say much. And I was just there like stimming. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Do you know what I mean? Vox popping. Do you fancy me? Like, so I think ultimately you need to just like, keep looking. Like it really is that. And similarly to the last question, I think too many people try and force i don't know something my mom and me actually speak about because like when she met my dad yeah she didn't fancy him she just thought he was like a nice guy and she's always like told me she's like you know that sort of attraction yeah can build and i kind of fundamentally disagree do you know what obviously that's only one part of it but like yeah and more widely don't just don't try and force something if you're not it should be really easy at the start and like similarly to the last question it's like if it's if there's as there's residual consistent like doubt and a bad feeling oh that you're like making an effort or you're just it It should feel relatively easy.

56:35Like obviously everyone has arguments, everyone has disagreements, but at least at the start, you should be fucking pumped. And if it's not that, then you can find someone else. I think you are right though. I think obviously it can grow because I know it can grow, but I used to have a conversation with one of my exes where he was like, I don't think you like me. And I think he was right. I think I liked the concept of having a boyfriend, so I just got with him. Do you know what I mean? but like when I actually think about him I can't there was no resounding qualities do you know what I mean I just got with him sorry you didn't like his personality well we sat together in a park one day and he was being a fucking cunt to be fair but he was like I just don't think you like me and I was like I don't think there's much to like do you know what I mean it'd be different there was a lot to like but there wasn't so like yeah I think he was right yeah do you know what I mean like it'd be fine if there weren't I don't think there's much to like yeah but there's not there wasn't so gaga but yeah just keep on fucking rolling keep on keeping on keep on keeping on in the free world um there'll be someone that truly fucking throbs your clit yeah off off clean off yeah until it grows into a penis happy trans invisibility day yeah bye bye i love you
