In short
The episode is a chaotic chat in London Fields during a heatwave, mixing diet talk, sex/transition anecdotes, music and nightlife stories, and a long rant about UK politics. Guests discuss “clean carbs” and satiety, then swap explicit details about being on hormone blockers, how orgasm/“coming” feels, and how long they’ve been on blockers. They also recommend coping with heat (drink water, stay indoors) and complain about sweating and public transport. Key examples include: a Hastings beach trip; a shoot for singles in extreme heat; watching England vs Ghana at the Perseverance pub; and an album listening session at Third Man Records. The biggest guest story is seeing Hayley Williams at the Roundhouse, including how they got tickets via PR/guest lists and the surprise encore collaborators (including Wet Leg’s Rianne). They also debate Keir Starmer, claiming he’s “Tory dressed in red,” weak, and has villainized refugees and trans people.

But Sue we need satiety. No we do and like it's nice to like yourself and like your body. So clean carbs are actually all right. Yeah. And I often find that when you cut out carbs when you bring them back it just cuts back. Yeah it cuts back. Water away. This is a thing bring back um courgette spaghetti. Do you know what I mean? Is that what your mum would make you? No, I'd make it myself when I had a eating disorder. And I loved it. Do they have courgette spaghetti in Derbyshire?
03No, I had a spiraliser in my old East London flat where we had cockroaches. I've lived a life. Why are all the memes about the storm just focusing on South East London? Yeah, as if it didn't just happen here. That shows you that South East London culture is just dominating the meme scene at the moment. Really, though? I feel like, yeah. Who's the South East? Places to get fingered There's that lesbian one Zeobat Who's a lesbo? Hackney lesbian Quirked up Hackney lesbian Oh yeah I know her Of course you do Guys She came to view of My room and my Old flat Really? Yep Sox House meeting Saw me a pair of Prada And I couldn't believe it was her She was like it's me And I was like oh my god It's me And I was like fuck off Is that you?
45And it was Sox House meeting Saw me a pair of Prada shoes Did he? Guys if you've seen A London meme page admin Chances are We gave birth to those fuckers Okay? Other than Socks, because he was there probably before us. Also, though, he's copying you. Has he? What do you mean? I think Socks has been inspired by you recently with all the writing and like the... Oh, create mode? Yeah. No. No, but it happened after. But I stole that from many American meme pages. Yeah. Tom Austin, Nico B, whatever his name is. What is his name? I think it's Tom Austin. And Nico B was an alias. An alias. Is it actually Tom Austin?
25I think so. I thought Nico was his name. That's okay. Welcome to London Fields. Welcome to Straight D. We're in London Fields. We're in London Fields. Kind of a bit embarrassed, kind of a bit shy. I think it's good. I think it's good to be shy sometimes because we're so obnoxious. Yeah. We're here because it's obviously a heat wave. We thought we'd come to the only place we know appropriate. But the funniest thing is my flat's really cold. Yeah. Because it's a basement. It is actually. It's too hot to be in the park, really. yeah yeah but i thought this would perform better yeah um when we talk about best places to get your minge out in the in the heat wave best places to dog in london fields how have you been keeping keep it i've been okay like we've actually been okay i mean we went to the beach yesterday which beach did you go to hastings we went with joe lovely lovely joe shout out joe should be sister bill sister and we had like an absolute key we were only there for a couple a friend of the pod we were only family of the pod in a way um but we yeah we just had a lovely time and then we came back and then had a shoot on monday in the heat which was hard it was like one till 10 p.m with pip and lib just doing content bits for my next few singles which is fun but that was for music yeah yeah um but i like didn't reply to anyone all day i kind of realized so like this week still doesn't feel like it started and it's wednesday so i've been like chasing invoices today Nice Just something to feel the void Because there's like Three over Like invoices That I'm owed Yeah Which then like Makes my bank account Look really really sparse But it's not sparse Life, death And overdue Sausage rolls Come on English England Score us a goal Come on English Score a goal Come on England Score a goal They weren't very good At that last night I know Awful game Did you watch I was at the Perseverance By Oh yeah Yeah I was at the Perseverance Big old boozer Big old boozer.
18Never been in. Big old. It's nice. Is it a happy cocktail of geezers and Londonfielders? Yeah, but when I got there, it was still like quite man. It was like men. Sweating. Bias. Yeah. And yeah, for a long while, I was a bit like, and I'm not drinking at the minute. I'm still not on the source. I know. Nice. Me and Bella, like literally, he did last night sober as well. We were at two different pubs because, you know, love is boundaried. And, yeah, so it was fab. But it was a really frustrating game. Like, when they got to the second half, I couldn't believe that they hadn't scored. I don't...
55Their... Garner, their defence was fierce. Yeah. They were just there. Physical, strong. Yeah, it was amazing. What do you think? I thought, hey, clean sheet. Yeah. Clean sheet, all right? I think it's a good little wake-up call, you know, Sue. I think it's good to have this sort of thing early in the tournament so you know how to sort it out later when it comes up against her for a position. You know what I mean? I think we'll learn from this. But it was, yeah, it was quite boring. As a nation, I think we're better for it. Yeah. It is nice that everyone sort of gets involved. Gets involved. It was funny.
30Like, Lauren came, which is funny because she's Scottish. And she was like, I'm not arsed. I'm not arsed. And towards the end, she's like, kick the fucking ball. Yeah. Your bird screams at the TV at the live football match. There was this one girl behind us who I was actually living for. But she was like, go to the oversight. Yeah. I was like, babe, you're not in America right now. You know what I can't handle is it's just miserable football fans in general. Yeah. How are you yelling? Armchair pundits. Yeah. I'm all for a big like, come on, England, and a clap. What I find is like men just do this and it's like a singular clap.
01They just go. It's so weird. They'll clap just once. Yeah. As if they're like starting it. I think it's interesting. I think football is the one thing that makes people do the things that they do at home alone, but in public. like I think like maybe you'd scream at the TV at home but then like football like allows you to like just do it with friends right is yeah it's an enabler for sure an enabler of weird behavior an enabler of maybe people becoming a bit more laddie yeah I do like it's a bit of fun yeah it's a bit of fun but ultimately back in the day when I used to be like chatting to all these straight men online I couldn't do that anymore yeah I'm so happy with my gay boyfriend like I'm upset like I'm like I can't like I see all these straight boys and I'm like god I would have sucked your dick in balls and I'm like please keep me away from you do you know what I mean it makes me realise how far away I am yeah it's nice it's nice Bill's good like that because he likes football and he'll be in a football and he'll be like sexy and then like but he's like soft and like good he's the best of both worlds he's the best of both worlds also I've been eating bulk I've been putting bulk in my morning smoothies because I do morning smoothies to make sure I get my five a day and so I'm regular and um it turns out that if you have bulk it actually makes you bulk and i've not been exercising and so i've bulked a bit so this skirt used to be used to hang on my hips and now it's fully on my waist yeah but you got the weight's going to the right place am i right oh honey yeah bulk is like um so i've stopped bulking bulk is like when you eat chewing gum it just stays there for like seven years yeah i've actually been i've had to stop douching as well i've got serious blow at the moment so yeah yeah do you have any sort of um bloke remedies fiber foods that you really like well yeah so basically at the minute i'm chipmese fiber right right come just come yeah yeah i like i like mangoes um come yeah i love come we came all over to become if you will does come have any nutritional properties salt prob's protein vibes you reckon um yeah yeah but i yeah no i don't swallow i'm more just like come all over me yeah um just like that i say in that voice um sorry to anyone who knows me or my relationship for that information but he loves it and it's weird as well because i've started coming again because i'm off blockers yay yeah which is strange so just like my dick be spitting how does it feel um how long were you out the game for out the game for like six years actually i was on blockers six years you didn't come for six years no you like calm and you like feel it and stuff.
38Hang on, you went on block, what? You were on blockers for six years? Yeah, I started barely transitioning six years ago. Yeah, but I thought you'd been on and off them in like sort of six month sort of intervals. No, no, no, I'd come off them once and then when I got with Bill I came off them because I was nervous about shagging themselves. I thought you'd been on and off them like loads of times. No, no, no, I was on them maybe straight for like four years, straight to five years and then yeah, yeah, yeah. So I can't have kids. You edged for six years? But it's not edging, it feels like a female orgasm because you're like calm and you can just keep coming because like nothing actually comes out so it's just like you have a feeling like nothing else yeah it's quite fierce wow your call has been forwarded to voicemail hi this is zoe deutch and nick robinson our brand new movie voicemails for isabelle is all about those little moments that feel like the universe is looking out feeling homesick then your sister calls hearing that perfect song exactly when you needed.

01That in four years someone's like I'll win with like some like ballad and then I'll be like now my dick is actually throwing ropes out of it again. And my mum said I couldn't make it on the internet. Mum take that. No my mum was that parent that was like never put anything online so I was so scared to put anything online and now I'm talking about my ropey spot. How crazy. You rebounded all the other way. I really did. I think it's part of the plot. I think it's... But let us know in the comments below how you come. Yeah. I come and then I'm like, okay, I'm good for like two hours. Yeah, Bill's the same.
35Whereas I'm like, rock my shit. I could keep going. But you know, I think I could get fisted. Just like England against Ghana, sometimes I can thumb it in. Yeah. Actually, they couldn't thumb it in, I guess. Also, what I liked about that match was I felt like everyone was just shoving each other. yeah it was very yeah it was very yeah and they were very like just throwing each other about like i there was like one bit where like one of the Ghanaian guys like pushed one of our guys and like play carried on so then like five minutes later one of the Ghanaian guys got shoulder done i was like oh my god this is just like tip-tap and they let it play on i was like oh the reference to be like eye for an eye speaking of fisting yeah um one of my friends was just at a festival called Waking Life, which is in Portugal.
19Portugal. If any of our listeners was there, Lithuania. Drop a comment, drop a follow, drop a subscribe, drop a kiss.
29And Waking Life is sort of a, it's an electronic club festival, but it's sort of got a bit of a rep. It's like very, no phones allowed. It's in the middle of nowhere in Portugal. Portugal. In a place called Crete. Anyway, so it's kind of mysterious, right? And my friend Henry comes back and he was telling me all about these workshops that they do at Waking Life. Yeah. Because they're quite sex positive. Love. And yeah, they had workshops on oral. They had workshops on fisting. That's nice. And I wanted to know, Sue, I think if you were going to give a workshop on fisting. Yeah. I've not been fisted.
14and as a popular person I won't say who that is but that has tried fisting some of my friends have been fisted I feel like I just could but it takes a lot of time and like I just can't be bothered I just cannot imagine that being fun you'd be surprised neither could I but I think I could do it but I don't think I think if I got fisted it would just kind of be like oh my god lol and then I'd be like right out you get now the great thing about a penis right is that even if it's fucking massive it's got a It's got an entry point. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. A fist is like flat as fuck at the top. You'd be surprised, girls.
49I know there's some fisting girls at this straight view, bro. Yeah, please educate us. Yeah. No, it's interesting. I just think whatever floats your boat, really. I know girls that would be like sitting on those tentacle shit and like poking eggs up there. That's not for me, but I think if you like doing that, Poking legs up there? No, like eggs and that. Do you know the ones that are tentacle dicks where they're like big fucking tentacles? No, no, no, no. No, everything else is fine. If you do that, stop listening to our podcast. If you do that, want to be a guest? I would like to talk about I saw Hayley Williams.
23I finally got here. Hi. I begged, borrowed, and stole for that ticket. Basically, this is what went down. You know what? I really liked how you were begging for that ticket because... And I paid for it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And I paid for it. I liked it. I think it was good PR for you to be like, I will die to see this person. Hayley Williams was my first gig as Paramore, Charlie, it's exported, we all know that, right? So I was like, I need to be there. Bill is obsessed with that album. We both are. And he, when we went to get the tickets originally, they saw that immediately and Bill was like, fuck, like the dream's over.
54And I was like, Bill, we're getting into this gig. Like if there's anything that I can do is scream about something on Instagram. So I was like, okay, right. That all happened, whatever. I saw, so I messaged the record label because we've done work first because it's owned by Secretly Canadian, her record label. They were like, okay, I'll forward it to someone. they were like the guest list is like closed now so I was like so I was like but we fucked it and so I was like okay cool then uh shout out the PR from roundhouse can't remember his name he starts messaging me and he's like look the guest list for our thing is over is like over capacity but I can put you on the list so you're on the waiting list for it I was like okay brilliant whilst this all happening I was putting story after story on begging it out so then I was on the wait list and they were like you can have two tickets for Friday I said I can't do Friday because Jess Barden was in town who will be coming on the pod by the way she said that she wants to come on which would be fun for any end of the fucking world fans out there.
43And other things that she's done, like American Horror Story and stuff. There you go. So she, we were like, we're not, she was like, please go. And we were like, no, we're not dating Jess Barden because she's amazing. So we went off dinner and said whatever the fuck we did. And then I was like, the dream's over. Because that day on the Friday at Towpath, our friend and friend of the pod. Our friend and friend of the pod. our friend of the pod our actual friend yeah she was at topaf serving this guy who said i'm working on hayley williams toll turns out it's hayley williams close collaborator and the producer of the whole fucking album that is touring it with her he was like i'll put you on guest list because i've got no one on guest list so then he puts her and bill on the guest list and they're like you need a ticket for saturday otherwise we're going without you so i was like fuck so then i put it on the straight leaver account and then that's when i got sent it by a lovely person whose name i can't remember whose friend was selling a ticket and i begged begged begged begged begged and then I got a ticket and got in but just shout out the roundtale shout out everyone involved because I got in and it was amazing but what I would like to say and why I brought this all up thank you for listening to my rant about how I've got a ticket.
47You have such a skill at talking at pace. Thank you. Uninterrupted you're like gym skin. I remember there was this one girl there was this one guy at school that once tweeted um Nicki Minaj would get it at pace and I just remembered that uh which is horrible um which is dreadful and it's called like Tom and he just says it's a random little like 14 year old boy why would you tweet that Nicki Minaj would get it at pace it's horrible anyway so that's what he tweeted but how awful
21so I want to talk Nicki Minaj would get it at pace that's crazy and he not he the crowd at Hayley Williams was very interesting because she'd tell there was a bunch of Paramore fans that were there that were just trying to like see her do a primal song and she didn't she did like the new album and like they were like boomers and we stood at the back and they're like boomers and millennials now millennials and boomers when you go out can i just say if there are any are any millennials boomers who were there and they all got a bit too pissed clearly silly ones from work and there's this one girl that's in front of me and i like when i'm at a gig i'm not moving if i find a place that i like i'm like steel cap toes on the floor like 10 toes down i'm not moving for shit and she was almost like kind of drunk leaning kind of like thing so in the end she was like so close to me i was like that but i wasn't gonna move like i wasn't going to move because i'm like you move like you've walked into me and she had like a whole load of space so she was like you fought hard for this yeah for the whole gig she was genuinely so close to me that she must spot for i was a weird i was like clapping in the rear to hopefully make a move but she was so hammered and she was like such a boomer and like all of her mates were so weird like her mate was like when the music would start he'd like enjoy the music by doing this and he's like feeling the music and like they were all like caricatures of themselves.
29Like, it was so weird to watch. And I just thought, like, user are weird and they're in front of us the whole time. Anyway, during the last song, which is Parachute, which is basically the song that's massive on TikTok. Right. And they were booking Ubers and so they were talking so fucking loud over Parachute in front of us, booking Ubers like, mine's seven minutes away. Anyway, so the point where I just started screaming over them, like, I thought you were gone. It was crazy. Anyway, thanks for listening. I feel very ADHD today, actually. No, it was wonderful. I feel like you could just do this podcast alone today no no i can't do without you i can't do without you what's that i can't do without wait but how was hayley amazing oh the best i mean it's like watching a masterclass like it's like it's almost like so good that like you kind of i wasn't impressed because it's so matter of fact that she gave you an amazing show her voice live like my voice would be dead yeah to that gig like oh it was so amazing and then she brought out this like random man at the end didn't introduce him he did a song with her and left and then they never said anything oh and then she brought out the girl was it the guy from American Football oh was it does he look trans kind of looks like a trans guy so she brought out someone no one ever said anything and like the crowd went mild like no shade because like who was this random guy so everyone did anybody know the song no so it must have been like there must have been teasing something new and then on the final bit a parachute she brought out rianne from wet leg now i love wet leg and i think you're great but like they don't exactly get like so everyone was just like oh the girl from wet leg just run out like everyone was just like okay what is it there's not much obvious overlap between them well do you know if you saw charlotte's actually put out lord or like when i saw charlotte's actually brought out robin and young lean right and everyone was like fuck or like she brought out like people who like you stand like i love wet leg because they're these amazing talented musicians and perhaps they do have maybe i don't know the indie scene but like she kind of brought her out and everyone was like, yay.
23Do you know what I mean? Like the crowd was just kind of like, yay. Yeah, yeah. But maybe that was something on us rather than... They aren't the most obvious overlap, but I feel like Hayley Williams is good at sort of collaborating or platforming people that aren't necessarily obvious. And I think Rianne from Wet Leg and Lava LaRue's relationship is so nice. Yeah, and Wet Leg are sick. And they're amazing. And I met them in a smoking area once and they were really lovely. Yeah. She had Lava. she listened to me moan about uh like my music not being cohesive and she actually gave me some really nice advice who are there rian oh rian that's so nice rian rian well she came out and i wasn't gagging her out there but like i think the crowd didn't do her justice is what i'm saying right well it's hard when it's hayley williams is so beloved well yeah and also you're performing to a group of people that perhaps didn't know who she was because they're all 46 right do you know what i mean um was the did the guy that she bring out would did he have a pretty struggling singing voice it honestly it was like genuinely at that point because they just came out for the encore and this random guy walked out and then it was like okay like the whole thing oh it was the encore yeah so like they all come back out everyone's clapping clapping clapping and then she did that song and she did she does a cover of you and me baby you're nothing but mammals so let's no way which is on the album which is like the deadest song on the album in my honest opinion and she kind of did that in the encore.
46So it was a very weird encore until she did Parachute and then everyone loses their fucking minds. And then they brought out Rianne from Wettleg, which is kind of crazy. It's kind of cool how well she's done. She's pretty independent now, right? So she's on Secretly. Yeah, no, she's got her own label through Secretly, but it's a Secretly. I learned this from our lovely friend at Secretly, Tallulah. Oh, yeah. Who I was begging for tickets. Thank you. She's not on the record label at Secretly, she's on the distribution of secretly so she's got her own label called post oceans i bet she's loving not being oh babe she must be fucking loaded mate um and just like her and a mate who got sophie and bill on guest list like they just they just do like the project together and that's it like it's so fierce what was the crowd like besides the annoying um oh amazing people every people knew every word i didn't realize how much of the album i knew bill was like you'll know every word i was like no i won't and then music starts and i was like oh my god i'm like singing it all like yeah because it's on it's such a car album for me and bill like we put it on and it's like but she never did anything from her first album which threw me because i loved that album as well i remember her dropping that i like college or school or whenever she dropped that petals for armor wow yeah i love that album yeah big deep cuts big d you want to see my fucking deep cut um who was who was supporting did you see the support um we did but then when i tried for figure out okay so i actually don't know you can't win them all they can't win them all Shout out to the support that Apparently they were great Apparently they were great Okay so all in all A great night at Hayley Williams Yeah So I just wanted to thank everyone That was I went to my first playback Last week Like pitch back playback Like an album listening session Now I tell you what I've done that once And I did it at Lapsleys Which was fun Because Lapsleys is a key But like it is a bit Like a play on the faithful zone And everything And we're all just kind of like sat Yeah In rows And then occasionally like You were kind of like nodding along with everyone.
41Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then, like, occasionally, like, someone, maybe, play my favourite, would be like, yes! And, like, it was so weird. It was at Third Man Records in Soho. I feel like there's so many record stores opening at the minute. It's like... Listening bars. There's a listening bar now. Is it that one? Oh, I can't be doing a listening bar. Whose album was it? It was one of my favourite musicians called This Is Lorelei. Yeah. He's in a band called Water From Your Eyes. Ooh. He's releasing an album in September and I was invited by the label to... Oh, that's so nice. What label? Matador.
16Oh, love Matador. I wish I was a Matador girl, but I'm too bait. Yeah, me too. Yeah, I talk too much. But they'll invite me as an influencer. You see, and that's fun. But yeah, it was my first album listening session and I get why they do it because they want to get all the people in the room and it makes an event of it and it makes people care more. But holy fuck. Everyone was just dripping. Oh my God. I can't even imagine. And so it was in the downstairs of this record store. And I get in there. And I'm like, I assumed an album listening session would be seated. And it would be like... It was standing.
54And we're dripping with sweat. And there's like fucking bright blue lights, but it's also really dark. I'm like, what am I going to do here? Shout out to Jennifer Walton. Lovely lady, NTS DJ and musician who saved me. and whose partner is a huge fan of our podcast. Oh, love you. So I chatted to her for a while. But yeah, basically, album listening sessions, I get why they happen. Overrated. This is Laurel. I did three songs on his acoustic guitar, which saved the day. Nice, nice. But everyone was just... It's hard. It's a tough time for live music right now with these temperatures, Sue. Yeah. And I think ultimately, Con needs to exist.
32And I also think with listening sessions, they're very specific, where you know i think you as an artist need to like what lapsy was really good at was in between talking about her music funnily and like not making it deep do you know what i mean because i feel like yeah i don't know it can get a bit deep but this is laurel i was great uh oh fuck what was i gonna say darling oh So I know there's all this like global warming stuff happening, right? But why is it that any time the weather is nice, then the Guardian and BBC are like, actually guys, this is going to be the coolest summer yet. I know.
20I find it so strange. Also, because the past few years, temperature has gone up to like 30, 40, which is fine. Like other countries do that as well, like LA and other places like that. but my thing is the thing that really throws me is like why after like at least two years of it because it's been at least like four now why we haven't like installed aircon right right right do you know what i mean yeah it's um we're slowly moving country surprisingly yeah for how uh like every year that we get to this point and then we're like what's happening yeah do you know what mean no i know but like obviously they're capitalizing on you know when they're sort of it's most visible that it's this fucking hot yeah but also it's quite nice how are you coping in the heat plan b is a backup birth control option that's there for you when things don't go according to plan it specifically works after unprotected sex and before pregnancy occurs by temporarily delaying ovulation.

09fine i mean in the house it's fine but like outside i just get like it was funny at this shoot that I was on on Monday they were like you don't sweat and I was like it's not that I don't sweat it's just like the thing that sweats is like my face my face is like I'm not like a dripping sweat but I'm like an uncomfortable sweat where I sweat enough but like and so I think it's just a bit fucked do you know what I mean? shout out to all the shout out to all the tradies working in this heat yeah shout out to people working security I know we've got a lot of security guards yeah yeah shout out to the tree surgeons shout out to you sexy sexy shout out to the gardeners yeah shout out to the hospitality guys and girls and everyone else and non-binary twirls and that's okay do you have any tips for dealing with this heat so how do you cope you kind of can't balls in the heat wave I stay in balls in the heat wave you kind of can't I think you just have to send it drink water have you been have you managed to avoid the tube in this heat or have you yes but I've got to go in central now today What's happening in Central?
14I'm going to Spotify Yeah, for music So I'm meeting my radio plugger And we're going to go Okay Let's go It's for Glow So shout out to Spotify It's for like LGBTs Are you LGBT? Yes Oh my god, that is so powerful I know Thank you I don't think anyone Am I LGBT? Yeah Okay You're cute Questioning, honey Questioning whether to throw a brick What's that A? asexual androgynous almighty pain in the R allowing the A stands for a non-binary person asking for money on just giving on GoFundMe a GoFundMe page that's what the A stands for the A stands for and done yeah yeah um okay oh Scotland World Cup Keir Starmer?
12Keir Starmer. Keir fucking Starmer, my love. And it just, yeah. I hate the fact that they leave so like meekly. It really bothers me. And everyone sort of immediately feels like really sorry for them. Yeah. Do you remember Theresa May resigning? And everyone was like, oh God, that's a bit dark. Like that photo always, there's always a photo that gets released and they're getting shot through the car. Yeah. And so they look minging in the back of the car. The great British tradition of the... I feel sorry for them. And then it's also like, I just don't I don't feel sorry for him And he's also like He's done I think someone Everyone was reposting The same post But it was like This thing about All the things That he has done In his time And I'm like He really came in And just was like I'm gonna ruin this For everyone involved And then he's just left I think he's really weak Like I actually think He's just come in Like Not even fucked things up Just like ruined everything Like Like I'm not even Standing up for the Tories But the Tories Were kind of like Awful Here we go No I'm not standing up for the Tories No, no, but it feels like Labour got in and made it worse.
13Like, how has Labour made it worse? Like, we're cooked. Those two parties are both cooked. I can't believe that we're, like, a point in our lifetime. Those parties have been, like, neck and neck for hundreds of years. And then, like, within, like, the past few years, those parties aren't even, like, the front contenders. It's green and whatever, reform or whatever the fuck. Do you know what I mean? Like, I can't believe that a Labour person has ruined it this bad. Like, I can't believe it. Like, if you told, like, younger me that that's the thing that would happen. It's kind of crazy. Do you know what I mean?
42No, I... Hi, how are you? I know, got to do it in the park, babe. Say cool.
52You too, babe. When you say... When you feel like Keir Starmer is shit, what is coming to the top of your head? Like, what was... He sold everyone and he'd sell his mum down the river if he meant he could say in parallel. Yeah, it was overwhelming. It was obvious. like I can't believe everyone he sold down the river like not obvious that's awful he's just a cunt bag like it like he's he is just a Tory dressed in red how you a sir and the head of leader party and I'll say that to the day I die yeah you have said that like how you head of Labour party as a sir like sucking dick of the royals like you're actually cook like that's literally the opposite of what Labour is I do I feel simultaneously like the you sold everyone down the river like every fucking one and like in five years they'll be like oh yeah I didn't mean what I said I'm like yeah of course you didn't you fucking tenancy laws though so I think I know but right doesn't affect you in your yeah London Fields mansion but like rights for everybody else like fucking refugees and I like villainized trans people villainized yeah it's not white villainized like it's like crazy and he's just like there being like I don't know beyond like it's so beyond like so how do you feel I'm like girl get rid but then And ultimately the mess he's made that we're going to have to like untangle is like so fucking huge.
10And that also wasn't me standing up for the Tory party, by the way. I just want to like say that. But like at least the Tory parties are like known like villains. And like they're like absolute bastards from the get go. You know what you're signing up for with the Tories. Little Red Riding Hood, but instead he's Little Red Voldemort. Like it's crazy. Like just the worst type of human being. well I guess the advantage of him initially was that he was sort of a man of the underdog supposedly being a human rights lawyer and then he was like sort of he was a human rights lawyer? yeah yeah are you kidding me?
39yeah that was his that's why he became knighted is because I can't sleep at night I don't agree with that because I don't like I'm kind of nihilistic to the point where I feel like who who is gonna do who's gonna solve who's gonna do a better job who's gonna solve this problem like i i don't see anyone coming in and it being like and this is quite a yeah obviously a depressing nihilistic thing to say i don't think i feel like keir starmer was like a bit too toothless a bit too like trying to appease everyone a bit too underwhelming but like he just go with like what like i i mean i'm not saying i don't know this fucking man i'm also not standing up for him but I think he just went like, oh, the majority think like, we should like dog on refugees.
29So I was like, yeah, gag you refugees. And then he's like, oh, well, let me fucking dog on trans people because people are just like probably saying that. Like, no survivor. Like, it's like, it's like someone with weak insecurity, analogy of a school, like weak insecurity. And then like, do you know those guys that would be nice to you alone at school? Right. And then when they get in front of the boys, I won't say anything to you. Like you fucking pussy. You're worse. You're worse than the fucking, like it is like you're worse than Tories because you are like such a spineless fucking freak, ugly cunt bastard.
58I feel, I feel... Like don't ever, and also in five years it'll be a human rights like thing. And don't know why, but they'll probably invite Straight Diva to be there because that's probably where the world's going. Yeah. If one of us hasn't died in five years, hopefully not. But like we'll get invited and he'll just be there and then you're just like meant to sit next to him and he'll be like turning up places and it's like, actually fuck you. Fuck you. I feel, I think I feel I can't believe you get to go and like live live. I love your passion. Yeah, I didn't know I felt like this. I just think it's just like rank.

30I feel less. He put the car in reverse and drove it into a lamppost. I disagree with that. Really? Yeah. I think he's a prick. I don't like, I don't know what Keir Starmer's even done. Like I know stuff that he said apart from these like the only thing, the only sort of policy that affected my life or came across my radar was like these changes to tenancy laws, which were great. he it's more like with him i guess the thing that is uninspiring is that like he is yeah he sort of tries to please everyone everyone and then he's obviously got like a real sort of lack of charisma he's got a riz problem but the reason i don't like feel as hateful to him as as maybe you do is because i don't like i don't know what anyone else is going to come in and do because it's just like well it's shit now the country is so yeah it's cool the country is so split yeah yeah um or at least from the current like sort of uh painting of it that unless someone is like trying to appease the sort of the far right and the center i don't know i don't know what happens but you know when people are like he's center i'm like he's right leaning he's never been center like the shit that he was doing i think he's completely right leaning i can't believe it other than the tennessee laws yeah the things that you would like say about people and like just like yeah i just can't believe definitely the quotes the the are so rightly the quotes are definitely sort of i can't remember what the ones on refugees and immigration were but they were like and there was one about yeah there was one about trans women like right before the election or something yeah just yeah as if like he's gonna say it's just like oh yeah gag it make sure i get the file right on side of the quote about you know toilet use yeah that's what i mean it's just like obvious like obvious campaigning just dogging anyone out to try and get votes like it just useless human being just a useless fucking human being like i think i think that the reason why like i'm bothered not bothered but like i suppose is i'm like i'm all for people being the worst but like say you're the worst do the worst be the worst like you know at least be some like fucking but then we're penalising people trying to be good.
45But he wasn't trying to be good. I think Kirsten, I think he's a good person on the inside. No, fuck off. No, he's not inherently. He's not. His career would indicate yes. Well, that's what I mean. But my thing is it's an impossible job because you are trying to please the whole electorate. Yeah, but then you just feel like I'm not going to say that. And our electorate is so horrible yeah it's horrible 100 % horrible but I think your prime minister I'm not going to say that yeah and I suppose you could be more optimistic and like well it's your job as a leader to both people to like show them when they're wrong and stand up for what's right if you're that bad down for votes you'll just start mentioning like toilets and shit like that you're tapped mate you're losing just admit defeat like it was like he was just clicking every end of the world button in the world like he was just like clicking the big red button whenever he could because he's a fucking freak like that's where politics is that you'll sell anyone down the river to just get where you need to be and maybe that's the way that it is like fuck you yeah like i like i don't want to see that stupid face like like honestly freak mate babe the weight gain that you get from being the leader of a political party is crazy that needs to be studied i think that's mainly where my sympathy comes from it's just like but then you shouldn't do it then do you know i mean like you're gonna be probably about narfans barely anyone can do it well yeah no one can do it like basically within the 20th century it's like 21st century whatever century we're in the only ones that are good at it are like the complete psychopaths yeah 100 % like the or like the ones where it's a joke like the longest one I can really remember is like Gordon Brown was in for a while right no Gordon Brown was only he felt for fucking ages David Cameron was oh he was left for ages you need those you need those maybe we need spineless stories because they're just psychopathic enough for the job it's just crazy no I hope I feel like the Tories that they've got now, like, are scary.
44Like, because they're like, right, we're going to lean right. No, no, no. Well, yeah, they're all appeasing. Well, it's all a game, isn't it? They don't care. It's like you don't exist. Like, do you know what I mean? Like, you don't exist to them. Like, they talk about they're never going to be in a room with trans people. Like, do you know what I mean? Like, it's not going to be in a room with, like, well, they barely get in a room with any fucking black people. Do you know what I mean? Like, it's fucked. I think my sort of nihilism with it all is that I don't, i look at uh like zoran and i'm like i don't see anyone in our or at least in the labor party that's like can sort of yeah it's fun it's cool lead and communicate like that it'll be a new election i think it'll be out of labor now don't labor's cooked mate i think labor's like i mean i love green so i love green but like labor's much more cooked than green is well we're in the green stronghold of London Fields right now.
36Yeah. Like, I think it's like, I think genuinely, how I see the world going is I think Labour's just going to like fizzle. Because if you have views, whether your views are left-leaning or right-leaning, there's no need for Labour because you either need to be really left or you need to, because everyone else who was on the right is extremely right-leaning. I think Labour's cooked. I think it's done. Where are the Lib Dems?
00But there does, there needs, something needs to come in where like, it's like it makes everyone happy where it'd be like, Well, like a situation needs to come in where it's like we are one nation. Like I feel like we're so fucking... Well, maybe Andy Burnham's the guy. Where's Angela Rayner at? Is she still sorting out the second house? Why isn't she in the leadership election? Maybe she'll pop up. We need Nicola Sturgeon. I just know that if Nicola Sturgeon... Nicola Sturgeon got done for fraud or something. Fierce. Fierce. We love her. It just seems like, yeah. No, I was telling me that Nicola Sturgeon has a Karen Piri cup that she drinks.
30How sick is that? How sick is that? wow shout out to you Nicholas fuck them all to be honest like it's just going a bit of shit at the minute isn't it oh I don't know maybe Andy Burnham well Andy Burnham was like mayor of Manchester yeah so we must like him I've actually got love for Andy Burnham but only as mayor of Manchester and then as soon as you become fucking leader of the Labour Party it's like suddenly you're just like it's like all of this shit you did all of the shit you said but then I'm just kind of like I don't know maybe like Holding mayor is just like so much easier. you've got to be on Canal Street popping balls.
09And they love him in Manchester. He's been mayor there for like 12 years or something crazy. I just think it takes the balls to just be like, and they can't, to take and just be like, nah, I'm not going to say that. I'm not going to sell these people down the river. There's an issue. The issue is always money. It's not about attitudes towards people and making people get along. It all comes down to money. but also Andy Burnham can sort of talk to people in a way that Keir Starmer could never well we'll see Andy Burnham has it but yeah there'll be something that comes out and he'll say something that'll be horrible horrendous I imagine but who knows you know this is this is straight divas Britain oh god I fucking hoped I'd literally run prime minister I'd be like what's that bin face count bin face it's really fucking good it's really good I don't think I would ever run for public office if the money was a million pounds a year a million pounds a year?
15yeah I'd be like 62 trillion pounds a year for me to do it I don't like it's not even that I don't care enough I have opinions but like they'll be like we need to do this because of money I'll be like no that's stupid just make more money that would be me we're just going to make more money guys yeah like girl but uh We're going to make Elon Musk pay tax. Respect to anyone of our listeners that are working in politics or the civil service. Yeah, the civil servants. Fuck me. Jesus Christ. What a thankless life. But actually, genuine respect. 45:13I literally know none of these guys. Actually, no, sorry, I know Craig Gordon. Okay, Angus Gunn. Button. Sorry, in context, Scotland are playing Brazil tonight. Okay. And I don't think they need to win, but they beat Haiti. They lost to Morocco and they've got Brazil tonight. These kids are having a water fight right by us. That's really jarring. Craig Gordon.
41Top. Liam Kelly. Probably verse, but I'm going to say bottom because it's funny. Oh. My hero, Andy Robertson. Bottom. He looks like he'd ride Pondokoki. Andy Robertson, friend of Ian Sterling, friend of the pod, Liverpool legend, really sweet guy, definitely left wing, definitely loves trans women. Yes. Definitely just an all-around good bloke. I would agree with you, though. He loves taking it out of the arse. Yeah Kieran Tierney Button Sometimes it just writes itself Yeah Nathan Patterson Verse Okay Why would you I would have gone top Okay No no no Because he looks like he could grow a mullet Yeah Shout Shout Sometimes you've got to trust the experts Aaron Hickey Oi Top Grant Hanley Top Yeah top probably Yeah I don't want to say top because it's obvious but it's true right okay interesting jack henry's sorry jack henry yeah i don't know who you are uh no disrespect to jack henry no we're not doing any of these uh okay scott mctominay bottom those cheekbones are too high you're right okay he's also uh he's moved to napoli recently oh yeah they fucking naples yeah some fucking pizza flour wrapped over his hips as he gets pummel that's just like the flowers just going up in the golden light.
20Oh, lovely. John McGinn. Top. Top but probably not gay. He's quite a small man. We're talking about tops or bottoms with kids running around us. I know, this is really bad. Slightly jarring. Can you just get your fucking kids, please? I hate kids so much. Kids shouldn't be allowed. Like, get lost. Kids shouldn't be allowed until I meet the love of my life and then I want to have kids. Ryan Christie. Uh, Bottom. Lovely, lovely ears. Hold on to those. Uh, we'll do Ben Doak. Bottom. Uh, okay, none of these. Ben Dover. Okay, Lyndon Dykes. Top, honey. Good with her hands, honey. Yeah, too many tats and too bald of a head.
05Yeah, that's a man that loves trans women. Uh, and we'll do Che Adams. Oh, Top, probably. First, maybe. Probably first. Do you think it'd be a considerate top? Yeah, really kind. He looks quite kind. Do you, is considerate top always better? Yeah, because babe, you need to have someone that will slow down when you need them to slow down. Like, when people, I like to be put through, please go away. Thank God, she's going away. It's like, it's like they don't understand that we're doing a podcast on, Yeah. in public, oh. I think a listener of Straight Deaver just went past on a bike and they're clapping to themselves.
45Clapping with no, And if that was you, we love you. You're beautiful. Okay, to be honest, we're not going to do any other players because they're not viral enough. So that was the Scotland squad, top or bottom. Let us know what you think, guys. Let us know. Drop a follow. Guys, seriously, drop a fucking follow and drop a rating and subscribe because you're still not doing it enough. You're still not doing it, you little pricks. And if you like us moaning about kids... Yeah, sorry. I do actually like kids. They're fine. No, I do like kids. And you should have kids if you want to have kids. That's brilliant.
21Should we do that agony on? Oh, yes. Yeah. Yes, yes, yes. Hi, Sue and Lou. Just wondering what your ops are on flirting your way through the music business, even when you're in a relationship. This guy who booked me for a small festival flirty with me the whole day I was there and invited me to an afters with everyone. But on the way to the Saffers, he suddenly mentioned he had a girlfriend. He suddenly mentioned his girlfriend to someone and I overheard. bear in mind we were both already a few drinks deep and i had been flirting back heavy all day i left v quickly afterwards he's pretty young but i feel like he'll go far in the music biz just by flirting his way through i didn't feel used or anything as they'd already played the gig and they were paying me anyways but i wonder if he does think does this to everyone what do you guys think have you flirted your way through the music industry even when in relationships do you see it happen often thanks love you love you firstly um i'll go first on this because i don't how much to say i've never flirted within music industry because it's straight mostly straight guys or uh fun gay girls who so like girlies are kiki with the girlies and then the straight guys that like me are like really respectful towards me that they don't want to fuck me they're all like your scene or they're like i think the guys that i deal with now are like much older guys who are like like really successful people in the business and so it's like none of that so i i've never had to flirt my way anywhere because the ones of that age that are still around yeah because It's like you get the young guys in music and they can barely look you in the eye.
45Do you know what I mean? Because they just don't want to. And the older ones who are creeps aren't around anymore. Yeah. And the older ones that are around me are really just lovely men who have done really well for themselves. Daddy. What about you? Because I don't have much to say. Yeah. But I would say in a complimentary way that you are flirtatious. I'm not flirtatious. I don't know in a music industry context. but I think I think you can be charming but I don't think I'm flirting I don't think genuinely I can maybe count my hands the times I've like successfully flirted with someone like I'm really not like ooh is it because I'm like when someone starts flirting with me I'm like is this happening and then I'm like are you flirting with me and I ruin it do you know what I mean like I'm really like I think me and Bill are both like that like our intention is to never like flirt with anyone like if you think I'm flirting with you I'm probably not.
41No offense. It's just more like that isn't something that comes naturally to me. Okay. Here's my two cents. Is he doing this to other people? Absolutely. 100 % yes. Do I condone his behavior? No. Do I think you should take whatever opportunity you can as long as you feel okay with it? Yes. Yes. I don't think there's anything wrong. Firstly there's nothing wrong With being flirtatious Yeah I personally feel like Even if you're in a relationship It's fine I don't give a shit If like If Bill was at a bar With someone You can flirt Bill can flirt in front of me I don't give a shit He's not trying to do anything I'm not trying to do anything I would trust someone I'm with To know where the boundary is The boundary The boundary is Like verbal flirting Someone could ask for Bill's number In front of me And I'd be like Ha ha Yeah Like I'd be like Oh my god that's sick Because I'm like Yeah he is fit isn't he And then you talk about it In the bedroom later You're like, oh my God, that's so nice that someone fancies you.
39That's sick. You're a very attractive and amazing person. Babe, if it gets you somewhere quicker, I would have fucked my way to the top if I had a punane. But I don't. I would have done it. Yeah. I mean... Not that I am advising that, but I just think if you know that, I don't know, someone's got a flirty vibe with you and you know that you can get a job quicker by doing that, then fucking do it. Yeah. I remember there was one conversation, I mean, God forbid me for saying this, but like an older woman in my family was telling my sisters, like, honestly, if you can get a man to carry books up the stairs, get it.
11Do you know what I mean? She's like, honestly, like, she's like some of the girls that she was working with at the time, like got so much done by all the men by being like, oh, I just don't know how to do it. It's like, so this person in my family was like, to my sisters, like, girl, go do it. Like, if it means you get the job done, you don't have to do much and fucking do that. Yeah. Use it. I think there's a currency there that I've never felt like involved in that conferencing so like i've got in other ways i think that's probably why i'm funny because i knew i wasn't i wasn't going to get by right yeah i would love to know what sort of flirting it was like how far this went but i think like casual verbal and also do you know that it was flirting i mean trust your instincts but like have we not considered that maybe he's just like nice or he just thinks you're good at your job i I don't know.
03Or like he thinks you have good music taste. I don't know. But I'll be real. Use the je ne sais quoi to your advantage. Use sort of men's sort of moldable minds to your advantage. At the end of the day, it's also like we live in a progressive world and God forbid me tell anyone to do this. But babe, if it means you can get someone, if it means you can get drinks at the bar and you're safe and you're happy to do it. And you're not hurting anyone. I used to love those friends that would get us drinks at the bar. and I just stand there quietly like yeah being beautiful is a privilege as well as a tax but so you got to take the yeah because there's also a tax to it like I hang around with a lot of beautiful people and like one of my friends is a model and we would be on the train with her and it'd be uncomfortable because men would go up and yeah exactly she's a beautiful girl and so I was like oh there's a tax but like alternatively we'll be at the bar and then we'll get free drinks exactly so you got to take the rough with the smooth you got to take the opportunities when you can Obviously, we wish it wouldn't be that way, but what I'm saying is, if it means that you'll get an opportunity and you know you can ride it safely and affordability, it's fine.
07Exactly. But I'm not, in my opinion, flirting my way through the industry. Exactly. As long as it's safe and you're not hurting anyone, it's flirting. I think flirting is the spice of life, personally. I think if my future wife is okay with it, I would encourage both of us to flirt with people deep into our lives. with the cashier, you know, at one stop, at Londis. My flirting, perhaps isn't flirting, I always get things for free in cafes because I just go and I'm really nice. But I don't think it's flirting. I'm like really overbearingly nice. Like Mr. Bao, my favourite restaurant in South London.
47I would say I'm kind of the same. I get like free drinks all the time because I'm just kiki in with the girls. When Sue goes into a, sorry, I hate when I speak to the audiences if they're in the room. But when you go into a corner shop. Oh, yeah. I'm like, hey, babe. And you're like, hey, babe, how's your day? You all right? Yeah, I'm good. Still alive. Yeah. They love that one. And they're like, yeah. Yeah, yeah. They're like, okay, great. All right. And we won't be getting 10 % discount this time, will our girls? But no, you're great with everyone. You're just a really great person. Thank you.
