In short
The hosts discuss “bull spend” in marketing dashboards, then pivot into relationship/social-media debates (tagging partners, privacy), travel and holiday stories (Spain, Bulgaria, Naples, Sitges), nudist beach observations, audiobook/book recommendations, and a game about UK singles chart “top 10” artists. The episode later covers AI “rage bait”/political content farms and a TikTok manosphere trend where “touching the receipt is gay,” arguing it’s about broke/masculinity symbolism rather than receipts’ purpose.
Guests (and backgrounds)
Maisie Williams (A-lister actor; known for Game of Thrones) appears as a guest. Bill Milner (actor; co-host/guest in the episode; later plays the UK Top 10 Five Aside game). Sue and Bill are the main podcast hosts; other named contributors include “Oliver” (shoutout) and friends mentioned like Sean Faisal (author/creator of Love and Exile).
Key claims
LinkedIn ads should be judged by revenue/pipeline, not vanity metrics. Tagging partners is framed as a privacy vs visibility choice. Nudist beaches are portrayed as often queer-coded and PDA-friendly. “Touching a receipt” is mocked as a broke/masculinity superstition. AI political content is monetized via ad revenue targeting.
Notable examples
UK Top 10 Five Aside game includes Elvis Presley (76 entries), Madonna (65), Cliff Richard (68), and the final tally where Bill wins by an 8-point gap. Travel examples include a capsule hotel in Naples, a gay nudist beach in Barcelona/Andalusia, and “AI slop” vox-pop videos targeting far-right audiences.

1:19From her travels in Spain and Italy and Greece. Italy was only in a capsule hotel for an overnight layover. That's okay. Don't go to a capsule hotel. Capsule. Capsule. Gives it a beautiful sound. Hello, Missed You. Missed You Too. Can we give a round of applause for Blue Blue, please? Can we give a round of applause for Sue I Think and Stand In Straight Diva host Bill Milner, please? And wonderful A-lister guest, Maisie Williams. Maisie Williams as well.
1:54We're back, bitch. We're back. Did you miss us? Can you hear it, Bill? Bill said yes. Did you miss us? We missed you. Do you know what else is coming back? Glee.
2:12Well, funny you should say that because that is relevant to the game we're going to be playing later this episode. Yes. Record UK top 10 five aside. I know who's going to be. Stick around for that one because Bill Milner's going to be back as a guest to play against Sue, I think.
2:34I realise I hard launched your relationship when you were on holiday. Realise that as well. I did tell you though. Well, no, I consented by sending you the picture. Yeah, I said, I'm going to do a holiday dump. And then you sent those photos and I thought, oh, okay, work. I'm like really happy. Sorry. No, no, no. It's all good. I sent you the picture. so I think I did already think okay this is implied yeah by me sending this picture that I consented and it wasn't until someone commented oh my god hard launch I thought oh shit yeah that's something that people do and worry about I had a couple of thoughts about that yeah one I thought it was lame one I quit two this is the last episode no one was that I thought it was lame that I picked a picture where I am like trying to look ugly and my girlfriend is trying to look hot I loved it though she bogged you hard it's like a really lazy joke no I love it second thing is brings up an interesting I guess you don't have to think about this or maybe do more because Bill is famous but the politics of tagging your your partner on social media because if you don't tag them it's like almost like you're hiding them but it's also like I respect the privacy whereas if you tag them I love those divas yes you tag them then it's like a thing I love those divas that don't even post like we'll get married to a man and only post the back of his head then I'm like you are tapped beyond belief If you think you posting that man's face is going to make him sway in your marriage, you should not be marrying that man.
4:23It all like people. Well, I guess that is legitimate, but people who blur out their kids faces. I mean, you know me and everyone knows me. Hi, kidding. But I, I even think, you know, people I hate even seeing videos where people are like, oh, yeah, you're bringing your boyfriend. Yeah. Right. Like if your partner's fears, no one cares that they're there. Do you know what I mean? Like everyone's happy they're there. Yeah You've just picked a shit boyfriend Or girlfriend Yeah Whereas it's like actually If you were like Rowan's coming to every Straight Deaver episode For the rest of my life I'd say okay That's fun If I fucking Yoko'd it Yeah Or if she Yoko'd it It'd be fierce She'd be sat there right now With the frothy coffee We're not there yet And that's okay There's time And when does she get Into performance art Where does she get To performance art When will she get Into performance art I'd say we'll do After your death Yeah, after my death, before moving in together, and just after the first time we shag.
5:22Or before, after you die, will it be before Harris gets the part, or after? Harris actually gave up the part for Jamie Vardy. Okay. Yeah, Jamie Vardy will have done his pivot by then. Harris wanted to do it, but he knew that he would never look as similar to you as Jamie Vardy. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Shout out, Harris. Wait, but do you tag... Do you ever post Bill on your Instagram? Yeah, I don't tag him anymore because it's like you... You know by now. If it's a crow, you'll know. Were you there in Sky when we did that? The difference between a crow and a raven? And now a stim that me and Bill always have in our houses, if it's like you know or I know, it's a crow.
6:03No, I didn't know. What is it, Bill?
6:17yeah if it's a if you want to think if it's a raven or a crow if it's a raven you'll know that's it don't not sure i follow what was the example you were just talking about tagging your partner yeah like you know who he is okay you know i mean i'm a public gal okay so that would be you could find him if you wanted to find it that would be a crow you'll know yeah i guess so okay this is like cockney rhyming slang bills learned from ray winston or something yeah probably probably we bill met my brother the other day for the first time whoa we are for coffee if you didn't know me my brother stopped speaking for a long period of time and now we're back on and we're having a laugh um and the most gooped he was about bill's career is the fact that he knows right yeah no sorry he was absolutely cute okay and that tells you all you need to know without yeah men um wow okay uh you've been watching straight diva god there's there's so many there's so much i know where to start let's start with you how's your two weeks been without me good it was uh let's do podcast first then outside podcast it's it's tough doing it alone doing it on your ones even just like a springboard because one thing i I'm really glad that you did event like eventually I think over your first couple days there you were quite online and stuff like that and replying like after a while you start replying which I was so grateful you did for you to rest like seriously like I'm not even being a con I'm I was I was saying to Bill like I'm really glad you're not replying but similarly you know this is an empire so then it's like so then I'm getting uh things texting you but I'm like please don't reply but I've got a text you these because there'll be an email coming or something and that what it wasn't like stress of anything but it was just more like i think you forget when you like doing something with someone you're kind of like it's like an immediate springboard and then we don't have that springboard it was like well i think yeah i think he'd like that and i think i'd like that too and so it's just kind of like that um editing was fine my laptop's going to shit okay the episode that you sent me when you're on the just landed that genuinely i i haven't been able to watch that episode because it's like primavera two years ago where i still can't talk about it really because i know we were on top four my episode hence why i haven't edited any is because i can't bear to sit to it because i was so stressed around that uploading that episode because i'm mental um that just like nothing to do with you sent it me and then it was like because it was like a four it was like 12 gigs or no as your capcord upgraded so that you have to have 12 gigs free to export the video yeah yeah this is never had 12 gigs the bane of my life yeah this has never had a 12 gig free and genuinely like i was in the studio week that week with sam working on the project tough next and i was like in the studio like trying to delete videos just like is this an important family heirloom do you know what i mean it's just like no one understands the perils of using cap cut desktop as a content and then what i did was i thought i was being smart and i filmed the one when me and bill are in bed not in 4k big mistake big mistake don't film in 4k yeah don't film don't we film in 4k don't not film in 4k no don't film in 4k in my opinion really well at least my eyes are like that when we're maybe because you're a bit further away but it looks yeah nice and it looks fine but i yeah but it's been fine just editing is like when you're busy like an edit will only take literally less than an hour but sometimes it just feels eats away at you and it's the self-analysis thing it's just like yes why did i do that yeah yeah Yeah.
9:59But it's been good. It's been fine. Everyone's been lovely. There was one bit you didn't clip that I thought you should have clipped up. Which bit? From the last episode, which I might do. I still have two left to do. I've written a list. The Bulgaria clocking bit. The fish. Donate to the GoFundMe. Yeah, I know. It's already written down. That's my next one.
10:22Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I know. And Bill's hot take. Clocking isn't necessarily bad. and then me just had the lies what are you cooking me looking at him in the eyes to try to get him to stop talking so I don't have to go do you feel like that do you feel like clocking in isolation isn't necessarily bad it's more that it's just gender like most people are transphobic yeah I think it's more fear in them that like you can clock someone and be like oh god do you know what I mean but I think it's like the clock in someone's like immediate I don't mean someone like clocking me I'm off to be clocked yeah but I think it's the like the kind of like the behavioral change after it well if you missed last week's episode guys you want to hear that point expanded on yeah turn it off because i could have edited the audio better to be fair lads uh i was very impressed with your management of the podcast thank you i was very impressed with bill milner's performance yeah bill milner is the best um i thought you guys were quite harsh on yourself in the last episode yeah yeah um i think as you know the podcast thrive sometimes when it's sort of...
11:27Flowing ad budget on metrics that look great till the CFO sees them. That's bull spend. And marketers are calling it out in Dashboard Confessions. I remember telling my boss, it'll be good for the brand, when leads were slow. Yeah, it wasn't. Cut the bull spend. LinkedIn lets you target by company, job title, and more. Advertise on LinkedIn. Spend$250 on your first campaign and get a $250 credit. Go to linkedin.com slash This episode is brought to you by PayPal. You know how a mom's bag has everything? Sunscreen. Snacks. A stapler? 12:15And with purchase protection on eligible items, biometric security, and pass keys, you're protected at every step. Download the new PayPal app to get started. See paypal.com slash protection terms. Like here, there, and everywhere. Yeah. And just like gutter chat basically. And I'm really excited to use my skincare products from 47 skin. Thanks guys. Oh yeah. I do actually have the person's name, which I would like to say. Cause last week when I was like, I don't have your name and I actually regretted that thoroughly. Your name is Oliver. Shout out Oliver. Shout out Oliver. how was your life outside of the podcast?
12:57Good, it's been busy, really, really busy You released a fucking song You released Island! I released Island And real heads will know real heads will know that anyone that was at the South Bank show anyone that's seen the South Bank YouTube video from early 2024 or 5 5 Just as we started Straight Diva yeah yeah um did the song and it's finally come out it's it's been received nice it's actually i feel like people are listening like i feel like it's like it's like a nice group of people that are actually relating to it like there's like new listeners there and like yeah well it's a very obviously serious sincere song yeah which has been difficult to do which you're and you're sometimes doing a more nuanced yeah it's like sort of presenting as well and it's kind of like the shift because the next music is away from the first project the first project i think is standalone in its own like electronica base and i'm trying to find my sound and i feel like i've found it and it's far away from there so yeah it's ireland is closer to the sound that we're moving into okay i think okay fantastic and why did ireland take so long to come out when question I guess we wrote it I wrote it with Jordan my friend Jordan on the piano and then
14:20and it's really fucking hard to sing in truth it's really really fucking hard to sing and when we finished the project like I basically had nothing left but I was like there's this song that people would occasionally DM me and be like please can you release this and I was like oh well yeah I will but actually now that it's in my set list I'm like shit what is the hardest bit to sing that's fine because you can kind of put that here in your am I on a wire there I can't You can do that here Where it's like full belting So I've started going singing lessons To try and do it But all the next music is quite vocally challenging So like shouting Vocally challenging for a mentally challenged person Did I tell you In the pod The camera up my nose And he was like do you do cocaine Yes I heard that But I didn't I still don't get what a vocal node is So you get like a lump on your vocal cords.
15:13So it's a bad thing? It's an illness? Yeah, and I don't have. Why did you think you had it? Because I would lose my upper range, but it's probably just the fact that I had really bad reflux and should stop drinking. What, are you drinking too much of Bill's cum, yeah?
15:30It doesn't stop. It doesn't stop. No. Yes, kidding. He's been eating a lot of pineapple, yeah? Yeah. Yum-o. How do you make your cum more yummy apart from pineapple? Is there any... I guess just be healthy. Health as well. Drink less, smoke less. But my ex-boyfriend used to follow me after I released an island. I checked yesterday. Unfollowed. She's gone. Later. Bye. I thought she'd be able to survive it, but... DJ boyfriend or horrible boyfriend? DJ boyfriend, yeah. Which someone came up to me the other day in the street and told a story that I said about him on here and she was like, that's this person, isn't it?
16:07And I was like, well, yeah. yeah it was well so shout out to you it's not that he necessarily disagrees with anything in the song it's probably okay I don't I don't need yeah my money is about a trip to island now don't get me wrong have I done video saying you broke up on me island yes well I continue like yes like well if I mean someone else listed the song mmm sign me up Irish love Island I've started reading or started listening to a book on the troubles because I really don't know anything about the troubles yeah and reading is cool or listening to books is cool he's amazing and i am going to do more of that this autumn that being said um also can you say what the book is sorry not to move on from the trouble so quick uh patrick madden keith who is the author of dope sick london falling and people love london falling people obviously love london falling oh it's not on my way it is say nothing a true story of murder and memory oh it's a series as well is it a series as well i think i think everything he does gets made into it yeah they're already making on and calling into a series um but yeah it's calling it's i don't know much about history but i feel like that's a big one i do know i do know about it then because i watched say nothing okay fantastic um but to move on to audiobooks in general that's okay that's okay If I may.
17:27Yeah. I was on the flight back from Bulgaria and I obviously... We haven't even got to Bulgaria, guys. Fuck. No, no, but we will go to you. Yeah, we covered it. But on the flight back, I was like, do you know what I'm going to do? Play an audiobook. And I've undownloaded everything from my phone just for space. And the only audiobook I had saved was our lovely friend, Sean Faisal of an Exile. So I thought, fuck it. Okay, run it back. I'm going to run it back. I never really listened to it. Oh, yeah, you didn't because you were like, I know this. I know this. I am a trolley. So I was like, loved Sean.
17:56Love with Omaha. I bought it. I've got it downstairs. And it's the same with Transgender Issues. Just like, God, this is dragging me down. Yeah, it would be like if I read like Orwell. And I think, yeah, yeah. No, it wouldn't be like that. I never said that. I never said that. No, it'd be like if you bought Sylvia Plath or something. Yeah, or like did like Simon Amst. Oh, but he's gay. Well, well shit. But basically, I was on the fly and it just made the fly. music I can maladaptive daydream I'm performing the song at Glastonbury I performed Phoebe Bridges album to Bulgaria and back like I've active listening whereas actually when I listened to Love and Exile it was like the longest 10 minutes of my life yeah audio books are very tricky because you have to focus you really have to focus it's not like a podcast it was a long flight no offense Sean no I think she'll laugh and if you don't laugh Sean then the audio books are flawed medium in that they're only good if you're washing the dishes walking somewhere maybe or trying to calm down there has to be a very boring activity that is happening that is just made slightly less mundane but you can still dedicate all of your attention and how the fuck are you?
19:15how was holidays? how were you rested? how were you feeling before holidays? during holidays? after holidays? Well, I tell you what did rest me while we're still on the subject of books was actually George Orwell's Keep the Asperdistra Flying, which I recommend to any listeners. It's a great book about a guy who leaves his job in advertising to become a poet and he tries to resist the money game, as he calls it, as much as he can. But he finds it increasingly difficult to nurture his relationships or happiness while resisting the money game. And that's all I'll say on that one. Otherwise, Sue, fantastic.
19:57Absolutely. Hated it. Yeah. Hated it. What are the headlines? I think it's just, I'm just going to still enjoy the moment now where I'm remembering that all the stresses of life, not to segue into 70 up, because we will talk about that as well, but that reinforced it as well. All the day-to-day stresses of life, all the bullshit, it doesn't matter. What matters is holidays and friendship and love. Cheap cigarettes. And cheap cigarettes, exactly. And cheap cigarettes. And yeah, it was fantastic. I went to Corfu with my mum and Rowan. Fab. Mum and Rowan got on great. Gorgeous. Rowan's good at asking questions.
20:47mum's good at talking um we didn't do much good uh we chilled by the pool we went to the beach i drove a boat at one point that was so that was pretty cool i'm the captain now yeah uh made rowan wet made my mum also upset um then i had a night in naples in a capsule hotel as a layover to get to spain where i went on holiday in andalusia with some friends quick little stop uh on capsule hotels not opposed to the theory of them but in practice it was hell horrible really really bad but it was 40 euros i got a morning in naples you've discussed that you don't like naples starts to the naples napolitans of the world you thought the pizza there was shit it was shit pizza was made there well done i feel like you figured out to put tomato and bread with cheese on top then everyone else took it and made it fierce domino hoo-hoo like i a couple times i've been to naples i went to the restaurant that says they originated pizza it was it was i think that's the mistake yeah is that everyone goes to this restaurant where it's like this is it this is fucking it guys and really it's like you could go to any pizza place i just wasn't gagging and there was yeah naples is fine go to any pizza place don't go to the pizza place that being said you will just kill yourself i will probably go back yeah i like i was saying to you off here i liked how compared to rome or florence just a little travel advice here it feels less touristy and a bit more like oh people actually live here i can see people going about their day-to-day lives rather than it just being Americans.
22:34Oh, you're like Jane MacDonald. What are you going to sing? And then this is Louis' cover of Jai Ho by the Pussycat Dog.
22:46But yeah, it was fine. Had a morning in Naples, then went to Sitges, did a bear con, did some appearances, did some keynotes. Sucking. Our friend Zooey's in Sitges right now with his friends. Oh, wow. they're doing it wrong do you know do you know when you see on people's stories like he's at the wrong beach he's meant to be the gay nudist beach yeah okay you don't have to get nude on the gay nudist beach girls get yourself to the nudist beach that is the first beach I'm sorry you don't have to get your chopper out well speaking of nudist beaches it was something I wanted to bring to the episode because I know you love them I know you and Bill love them and I had the privilege of going to one not in Citrus because I didn't really go to Citrus that was a laugh I went to Andalusia and we went to one and I was kind of, I guess I felt a bit boring because I kind of, I was thinking why are, because I feel like they're cool.
23:40I feel like nudist beaches are slightly on vogue. Yeah. And then I was like, why is that? And then I thought of, okay, maybe women like going there because free the nipple. Yeah. And partly because they're quite, we're not all nudist beaches are gay, but most are gay. Right. And then that was my next thought. Yeah, yeah, yeah. queer people can go there and feel like they can do pda for sure um when they can't in most public spaces the ones that i've been to they're very like gay heavy especially like older gay heavy right which is fierce like girl but like so many old dicks there yeah but when you're not involved it's fierce because it's like no one wants me in my abt is like it's cool so i'm like I'm free then So almost That must be how Like the girlies feel Maybe Unless the girls are lesbians And the lesbians do it I really wish I wanted To get my chopper out At the beach But I don't I don't get my chopper out To be fair I'm just like untucked With my tits out Bill's full chopper Which I really appreciate Really?
24:39Yeah Because even when we We went with like A group of people After Primavera Line up announced Absolutely buzzing Really? Yeah Bjork Phoebe Bridges Massive Attack Wow Who else is playing? um uh you're my say it i don't know avalon emerson honey oh really yeah let's go um so you're coming uh who else so arc is playing just uh slate is playing the full line up playing yeah yeah oh wow yeah but i have to fly back for one of the days why can't tell you yet wow your calendar's that far booked yeah so i have to fly back for the last day But I'm thinking if I can fly back in the morning, do whatever I need to do, and I'm going to fly back for the final night, I don't give a shit.
25:30I've decided, guys, Easy Jet's going to hate to see me coming. That was like when mum flew back from holiday to go on Strictly Come Dancing and then came straight back. And when I say holiday, it was Christmas in Australia. She flew across the world just to do the Strictly Christmas special. That'll be you. What? That'll be you. That's what stars do, guys. Yeah, that'll be you. Okay, wait. Where were we? Nudist beaches. Yeah. Yeah, I wish I... I saw the biggest dick I've ever seen in my life. Yeah, you see some absolute choppers. And I was like, well, of course you love a nudist beach. Yeah. And you're literally walking up and down.
26:09We're talking eight inches and thick, Sue. No, no, no. Eight inches and thick. Flaccid. What I really liked about the nudist beach in Barcelona was it was more like everyone knew that they were going to be at the nudist beach. everyone was like so then it's like a weird difference between there and like citrus for example because citrus is like this is like like gay the bears and stuff like that so it's like love love your curves right this is yeah pruney ones yeah but in barcelona it was very like and so when you're in barcelona it was seeing these like absolute gargantuan built men with the biggest dicks you've ever seen in your life and i think that's okay to look at someone with an 80 inch dick and be like i have that kidding and look at a guy with an 80 inch dick and be like that is too much yeah it's too much and i'm sorry if you've got an eight-inch dick like good for you beauty is a curse but for me and i can power me yeah too big yeah so i wouldn't mind i wouldn't mind he was smaller he was like five seven well i like to go somewhere the energy it just goes to show guys short kings short kings rule short kings can pack yeah um and the rest of holiday was good any any teachings for our friends there was one other thing maybe oh well i saw you talk about brits abroad in bulgaria yeah we did very much brits abroad it was crazy and it made me i don't know if i've said this on the podcast before but airports make me feel particularly snobby when yes and classy flowing ad budget on metrics that look Great.

30:04Do you know Toph from Made in Chelsea? Georgia Toffola, yeah. Do people just like... Tolerate her? Yeah, well like why do people like... Oh No, no, no her name's Georgia. Her surname is Toffola or something. Toffola. And people naturally caught on and connected the dots that she is a Toph. She kind of disappeared. She was kind of everywhere for a second. Well, she is married with the guy who is the founder of Brudo. who I think are having a hard time. So I think she's probably gone. She's taking that ring off. Ring off by Beyonce. Yeah, big time. But no, my holiday was great. I feel recharged.
30:47I managed to finally unplug and get off Instagram. So you got it out? Well, we did some skinny dipping on the last night. Nice. But even then I was a bit like, but it was one of my weird nights. Yeah. I don't know I'm sure you would be the same but it was a holiday of like 15 people right yeah you'd be tired by the associative and even us or maybe especially us who can be loud and are usually performing it's quite nice to take a back seat in those situations and my god this group of friends they just play games Sue they just there's games there's like there's mafia there's splash there's no more jockeys there's oh god I can't even remember and I just do like go like okay can we stop now yeah yeah that's such a bit of me can we do gossip um and who do we hate in this circle yes exactly yeah yeah exactly it's just nice to get it out that's gossip yeah but and you don't even hate them it's just something to say passes the top there are times when you know we're making nice dinner every night and then i'm i'm digesting you know and then it's like i i fall off a cliff social battery wise and then i did start to feel like am i is there something wrong with me yeah am i ill am i why am i on holiday and all my friends are literally having the best time in the world and i've gone non-verbal and then we did the lip sync competition i couldn't even and i obviously won but i wasn't no i couldn't even bring it for the lip sync oh really and then it just gets worse though because then you get in a circle like why can't i bring it why can't i yeah and then that would spiral and then terry's bullying me for how i didn't nail the key change and the stepbrothers uh sweet child of mine thing but we were made up afterwards so it was all fine but yeah it was really great and one game we did play on holiday which I do want to play with you is the UK Top 10 Fivers side and Bill Milner would you be free to join us right now or in five minutes or whenever okay because I do want to ask you about your autumn my autumn introduced to the stage the incomparable Bill Miller okay thank you Bill for joining us today so and also I need to just go like this okay so the premise of UK top 10 five aside is that you guys are going to go against each other and build a five aside team of five artists who you think have the most top 10 entries into the UK singles chart since I think ever World War II but we'll say ever but it's old old artists as well as well as new I've got this Sue seems very confident that she knows exactly who she's going to go for so why don't we start with you Sue oh sorry I forgot to clarify one thing yeah which is that I only have a list of people with 20 entries or above okay fine and it's about 40 names and if they don't if they're not on this list they're not coming in they're not coming in okay You ready?
33:54I'm ready. Robbie Williams. Yeah. Right, okay, I see. No, no, no. Well, you could just do... Are you ready to go? Well, yeah, I probably can start, like... Do one for one. I like that. Yeah, I could start picking some names out of a hat. I do just want to flag that this isn't my forte. Bill, shut up. It is your forte. You're very knowledgeable about music.
34:23From forever So I'm just going to go with a heavy hit and say Michael Jackson Great shout We've got a strong start from both teams Hit me Sue Rod Stewart Wow Did not see Sue Cricken going there Okay I'm going to keep going basic The Beatles Sue's trying to beat all Bill's playing the hits That might not be good because I don't think they were like single. Music was different in those days. No. Elvis. Wow. Right. I think you might still win though. I think you are actually like... You did the Beatles though. I think you're about to win. I know what I'm going to say next in my development. Bianchi?
35:11This might be wrong, but I know she's one of the most dreams artists ever. Kesha.
35:22I actually don't know what we're doing. This is number one. Man said Kesha. Yeah, exactly. This is number one. Man said Kesha. Man. Man. I got you.
35:35Getting clocked's fine. Sorry? Getting clocked's fine. Well, it is. No, I agree. As long as you're clocking them in. It's not intrinsically bad. In like a... I see you. and I don't necessarily dislike it.
35:54I took a credit race.

36:00Oh, he who should not be named currently or is being named a lot currently, Ed Sheeran. Okay. Yeah, I think Bill's won actually. Well, you've got one more pick each so this is a big one guys.
36:18hmm
36:23UK though I feel like I want to say Lady Gaga but I feel like that's not excuse me sorry amazingly fierce because I think after like her first or two albums like in the UK I feel like she's in the UK it's different everybody want to say UK and then I'm like do I say like Calvin Harris and then it's like or do you then go like god there's so many you could go for right yeah i think you've won bill oh adele okay nice shout i'm now i think cash is lost it for me it was a rogue one i'm um i'm between two but in the same vein well tell us tell us who they are I'm either between the Spice Girls or Take That.
37:13So I think I might see your Robbie Williams and raise you a Take That. Wow.
37:21Okay. Some really strong entries. Number one or top ten? Top tens. Top ten entries. But Sue, she's only got like one massive album. Do you know how many of the longest streaming... Yeah, One Direction. But longer streaming is not what we're looking for. We're looking for short bursts. I just wanted to say that I'm an animal. Okay. What about Emily Sunday, hey? Okay, should we go through Suze's team first? Who's number one ever? I don't mean between me and Bill. I mean like... Okay, actually, I'll go through the top ones. Okay. so with 70 Rolling Stones we forgot the Rolling Stones sorry Rolling Stones are a bit further down okay so the record holder with 76 entries is Elvis Presley Fierce I did I did take top shots oh sorry you said Elvis Presley of course yeah yeah okay with 68 entries who nobody said in my pub quiz that I did on holiday Cliff Richard yeah he's like a Rod Stewart type thing like that Christmas one Simply Heaven No, that's Paul McCartney, isn't it?

40:29Pink the Craziest IO. Yeah. Pink the Crazies There's been so much news Since I was away I know Liked how you sidestepped The Ed Sheeran issue guys By the way Jesus Your silence is deafening I think I've been very clear About how much I've hated Ed Sheeran Forever Well We should have asked Maisie Williams What she thought of her Former colleague Former colleague Don't you remember Him in Game of Thrones So funny I've never watched it He's in Game of Thrones He's practically like Playing a ukulele And singing a little song And it's like I don't know they had many not that it was in I know it's a different universe and he's looking at Maisie whilst he's also looking at Daenerys like this um did I say Rolling Stones on 21 neither of you said that but you were curious okay and then finally on 20 it's Abba the Shadows the Shadows who nobody knew take that Timbo Timberlake and Usher so who won I reckon who said Elvis Presley me probably you Oh but then you had You had MJ and Ed Sheeran Okay I might actually need to add this up I think you might win Kiss Yeah yeah yeah Adele also zero Adele also zero Top ten Well she didn't get 20 or above But I reckon it's because Three albums Yeah yeah yeah Like the last one was just Hello Hello.
42:02It's me. Rod Stewart, I believe, was 25 soon. That's crazy. He's definitely older than 80, though. And Robbie was 31, which takes you to a total of 31 plus 25 is 56 plus 76 is 132. Bill, you've won because all of yours are in a thing. Yeah, Bill's won. Bill's won. Bill got MJ on 45, Sheeran on 43, Beatles on 29, Bianchi on, sorry, should we stop saying that? Beyonce, because it sounds like she's a donkey and that's really not nice, Bill, actually. And take that one 20. You've won. I don't know. Elvis number's crazy. 8 10 140 yeah you're older you're older than me queen only an 8 point gap thank you and that's been UK top 10 5 aside not the first time Bill's ever said it was tight bye guys oh everyone on my holiday we were doing a game where people stood up if they don't it was like never have I ever kind of it was a finger up the bum and obviously this is a big subject for me right all done bum stuff everyone but me of 15 people who are all straight apart from one who's bi.
43:30It sounds like the straights are actually really getting into that stuff more and more. I think it's good intel. Well, I know, but I just didn't know if you wanted to chime in. Okay. I think, not that I really know what the straights are getting up to, but I think we need a bigger push on rimming. Yeah. That's awesome. I'm glad they're all getting fingers involved, uh but um stop being a pussy get your tongue in there yeah and also for the an arsehole and for the heteros um girlies should be licking buttholes as much as the guys um it sounds like it sounds like the rimming is very much guy on girl action in the um in the heterosis world and i just think do you think it's a hair thing i think fellas would um probably but i think fellas would enjoy having their bumhole kissed as much as the girls.

Well, any guys who do get it done are really it's I think even something that will exist on the internet forever and I've just I think even very straight men. Everyone go watch Yeti when it comes up. Am I allowed to say that? Bill, one thing you're looking forward to this autumn as we move into as the seasons change? Pumpkin spice lattes. No, um it's classic but layering knitwear and the football fixtures yeah amen but that bloody international break am i right listeners it's a little bit annoying because west ham are really picking up a head of steam and then championship stays no doesn't no no wow we've got four internationals out on duty i mean we can't and it's one of them an israeli yes peak sorry and he scored in his debut and that was a really strange like conflicting like bye bye you've got me talking about rimming and Israel in one brief window of the podcast I would like to say Free Palestine yeah Free Palestine well done Ireland well done to that goalkeeper Bizzunu well done to Bill Milner for being such a lovely guest and such a lovely host guest host on the podcast you've been great lovely pink jumper rimming and layering yeah what are you looking forward to this autumn?
46:53yeah putting on a jacket and not being boiling like you put on a jacket in the morning because it's a bit nippy you walk for about half an hour you're on fire and then you're on fire for the rest of the day and then you're just in a light vest I wouldn't have thought you'd suffer from that with your body fat percentage but I do suffer from that with my body fat percentage no I definitely do I put on some body fat percentage this year amen but we're about to shed it because we're going on the pen and this episode is sponsored by Manjaro. Manjaro. Are you sick of being disgusting? Well, you can take Manjaro for$39.99.
47:29You inject it in yourself before dinner and you will feel sick for months but you'll be so thin. Do you want to work hard to achieve the body of your dreams? well then this product is not for you I am let's not get into another Manjaro conversation about our so let's talk about AI god that's actually one thing about coming back from holiday it's been a lot of depressing news across the world and it was really nice not doing that for two weeks but one thing I am happy about is I saw this thing and I said last week and I'll say it again but the thing that there's when there's so much depression that means that a lot of everyone is like seeing that the depression is happening and it's happening right now so then already people are looking forward so let me go to fascism to see to see in how we can like stop the depression and so the pendulum will swing back to good eventually so just know for sure everything is a cycle if it's bad the day is not done the sun always comes up but actually speaking of ai i do want to shout out a video i watched on youtube which was called why is rage baiting them or how to rage bait americans which is obviously a very click-baited title but it's about how you i'm sure you've seen well they're not going to be on your feed all the time nor mine but ai slop vox pop videos um targeted at um far right people like anti-immigration rhetoric basically this guy found out this study found out that a lot of these things that are like classic just anti-immigrant rhetoric like get them out fake vox pop ai slot videos are being produced by in like other countries so he found out all these facebook pages um that are targeting like old racists who i'm seeing in the maligar airport yeah and um all these hubs of AI content are in like Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Cambodia, Nigeria, and India and Pakistan.
49:43And they're basically like sort of AI creators of like running like schools slash businesses where they teach people how to basically build AI content and target it at like regions or countries where you can make way more money off of uh ad revenue which is like us uk australia yeah um and like while like some of the most monetizable niches are like arts and crafts or cat videos exactly also one of the most monetizable niches is like politics or news um so it's all these like it's really weird um thing of like working class people of like former british colonies making money off of like people's racism people's racism in the former colony country um i mean work and they just i don't know like it's yeah in one sense and then it's like oh but they are just spreading hate yeah to make money it's really really interesting i saw something of some idiot no offense to her but sharing her boyfriend who refuses to touch a receipt have you seen this no that there's that it's like new like um what do they call them mananess what are they what are they called what's a manosphere manosphere yeah thing where like to touch a receipt of something that you buy touching receipts gay yeah basically it's like it's like the opposite I'm like men are getting more like spiritual It's like the opposite of manifesting He like touched a receipt and he was like carrying it And he was like fuming and she was filming If your man refuses to touch a receipt He's a brokie That's fucking gay that Like only people Like what Like that's gay that Or is it the thing of like I don't need to look at the receipt I think that's where it's come from It's like yeah babe because you went Costa Coffee And got a ham sandwich in my drawer alone Also what about the freelancers we need those receipts Yeah you need the receipts if anything that is the most brokie thing i've heard also most of the manosfears are self-employed they're like exactly you need your receipt in fact you're just gonna like get up a massive tax bill and then you'll be even more broke yeah broke than you actually are and then i also got on the side of tiktok where it's these boys um that sell uh like how to make millions courses and then they all go to like malaga and then they do wake up at five in the morning they all do like a a cold plunge but they run into the sea and it's like girl the sea is hot at this time of year honey and then they're like say congratulations to mickey who's got a 45 000 pound job and like that's far away from don't get me wrong well done mickey 45 000 great yeah nothing but she's not a millionaire do you know what i mean and like i'm like can you then at that point mickey not see that this course isn't working because you're not a millionaire from taking this course millionaire mindset yeah it is just uh like boys are going broke it's the same shit as the louis fruit documentary it's like people that believe it is like people that believe it like i start to one hate women and hate everything and then they truly believe that doing these like affirmations or not touching a receipt is going to make you rich honey it's not like it's not like working is get up stop going to the gym stop running to the sea every morning like i don't know it's also not what life is about it's interesting how like that sort of self-help like cold plunge or like even slight spiritualism has like gone they've like ruined even right-wing people do it yeah do it for sure but instead it's the opposite way where it's for money not for you it's for like right self to like going so you can make loads of money just because there's one person in the group who's a millionaire selling you that horse.
53:40They're a millionaire because you're paying them, my love. It also made me think that it's just, it is all just like copying religion or like Christianity. It's like, it's the same shit. These girls, King Princess fucked a man. Who's that? King Princess. Who's King Princess? King Princess. King Princess. That lesbian artist. My pussy is good and I love you. No, no idea. Apparently, from the shit that I've seen, they fucked a man and I literally don't care about this news. Shout out to King Princess. Like, good for you for shagging a man. And everyone's really upset because everyone's saying that every lesbian and ends up shagging a man.
54:11Well, they're allowed. They're allowed. We all like to fuck men. Also, if you're lesbian, like, good for you, you like to fuck girls. It's fine. Girls like girls. Wait, sorry. Why is touching receipts gay? Because it's kind of, I think it's like the mindset that touching your receipt or having to look at a receipt means you ain't got money or you need to just check how much it was. See what I'm saying? Okay. Which is not the point of a receipt. The receipt is proof of purchase. So you can later on prove how much you paid for it to tax. Yeah. You lemon. Or you can return it if it's a faulty top from Matalan.
54:49Yeah. I was so disponsored by Matalan. I was too busy 10xing my portfolio to worry about the fucking receipt, bro. Oh, I didn't see that video because I was trading. Yeah. Because I was trading. How have you 10xed your mindset? Oh, I 10x my mindset by waking up every day, putting on some lingerie, tucking, and starting to trade. I sit at my desk and I trade all day. I don't stop and I have a cup of noodles and then I end the day and drive my Ferrari home. I buy everything on Monzo Flex. You? Have you 10 extra day? Did you see that the boy who it's facing with, the hammer, was done for rape? Oh my God, yeah, Clav.
55:30Clav, always surprised. Paul, sending love to the girl he, unfortunately, Yeah. Like sending love to her and her family. Fuck that boy. And the Cornell 7 thing. Did you see that? Oh, God. That's actually horrendous. That's ming. Kill them. Yeah. Line them all up with a gun and shoot them all in the head. That's ming. What now?
55:53Tough, tough moment for the straight man community. Well, thank God. Another week in hell. No, that was like horrendous. Did you see the Snapchat screenshot? No. No. So to be honest, I read the headline and just thought, fucking hell. And then I saw Florence Pugh's post, which I thought was very correct. She was like, it's now more than ever that we need to look at teach our men not to be fucking weirdos. To unify, to unify. Stop saying boys will be boys, you're absolute dickheads.
56:28Okay, wait, we digressed from... What are you guys looking forward to most this autumn, guys? Sincerely. Sincerely, sincerely. I'm looking forward to most... Let them know, Sophie. Let them know what you're looking forward to.
56:48Oh, I'm looking forward to balance. Because I feel like summer for us is not only more fun as it is for everyone. But for us, it's more work. Yeah. usually so and both of those are going to be going down yeah in the autumn I'm getting your surgery getting my top surgery getting my BBL getting my nip tuck getting my hair transplant starting Manjaro family members started Manjaro on the topic of Manjaro they really don't need it by the way and they got hiccups for two days it's not good is it I still might do it though Writing music Nice Haven't been able to write music for a while Routine I am one of those boring people that does really crave routine Yeah same Yeah Even the last couple days Monday to Thursday I've got shoots or rehearsals And I haven't been able to get a coffee in the morning That's really It really throws me Are you still not drinking caffeinated coffee?
57:56No I'm back on it Good but I need nope not even going to say it we know what I'm going to say you can't keep saying it I know it's just boring I like to be drunk and kissing kissing and cuddling on the sofa oh that's so nice because now I have someone to kiss and cuddle but if you don't have someone to kiss and cuddle guys you can still nurture your relationships this summer or how about download Breeze the ad that is made to be I don't even know if we can talk about even in a jest another dating app for a while. It was a joke. It was a joke. Breeze. There's a dating app. We can't even give it promo.
58:34Okay. In a sense, I want to get us a sponsorship from my new, well, no, old. I've spoken about it on the podcast before, but it's called Yarn. And I know you spoke about Breeze. No, sorry. Not Breeze. Jesus. Breeze. The block. The brick thing. Oh, yeah. Which you don't have on. I'm not bricked up at the minute. No, you keep it by the door and you tap it in. I still don't. I've had a very busy working day, actually. But I want to talk about Yarn. I want us to get a sponsorship from Yarn, which is a really good blocking. It's one where you have to journal every time you have to open up. But they ask you good questions.
59:08They're like, what's the light like in the room right now? And you're like, oh my God, thank you for asking. The light is perfect. Let me on my phone, please. Shut the fuck up. Shut the fuck up. Yeah. It's fucking fine. Open Instagram, please. Need to send bits to Bill. Hello. Do you have any songs of the summer that retrospectively? I'm crying on a phone to start a fight. It's brand new Chanel's summer by Slater. And Island. Island Autumn. TTLA? Yeah. No, that wasn't your favourite. My favourite was Brutalist. Brutalist. There was a build in that. But not really. I like Birds by Turnstile featuring Slater.
59:52I enjoyed the... Was that on the remix album? Yeah. I never listened to it. Oh, it's probably something by Phoebe Bridgers. Whoops. No, do you know what actually is this song? I need all my gold on the front line. Oh, it's Aikido. Attention, left, right, left, right. I still haven't listened to that as well. It's really good. I need to listen to that EP. Back up my back. Shout out Aikido. Shout out Talcho. It sounds like M.I.A. when you're singing it. Oh, na, na, oh, na, na, na, yeah, na, na, na, na, na, na, na. It's really good. No, this is my summer song. Flowing ad budget on metrics that look great till the CFO sees them, that's bull spend.

1:01:37I don't know, Fiona Rapper wouldn't report it. He can play 10 seconds of it. And I will live No, I'll tell you what actually was my summer song when I've been so busy working. Travelling, listen to Baptism by Crystal Castles. Wow. It's, sorry, I know we're not meant to listen to Crystal Castles. Shout out Alice Glass in the review. But Baptism was recommended by my friend. I was saying I was listening to Crystal Castles to my friend Ryan and Ryan was like, Baptism, I had an iPod and deleted a thousand songs to download Crystal Castle's Baptism. And it is the perfect song. Like when your brain is on 10, it just goes and then you just can't feel anything.
1:02:19And this is - I don't know any Crystal Castle song. I know that they're obviously - They are amazing. hugely influential for the guy-girl electronic community. Which I'm sick seeing now. Yeah. There's too many. Yeah. Go away. Yeah. Do something else. Just start a band. Or just add a third. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. That's always the solution that Straight Diva recommends. Get a third. Actually, no, we've never recommended that. We're quite monogamous. Monogamous girls. What about you? Songs of the Summer. Yeah.
1:02:51Sophia Stel, I've got a lot you know. Sophia Stel, I think, is about to blow, Sue. I know. My manager was asking to support them in thingy, and they said no. Had the chance to interview her at... No offence. No offence. Had the chance to interview her at End of the Road. Can I say one thing about Sophia Stel that she did? what she was chewing on she was reheating effecane nachos for a short while whoa well actually one of her favorites one of my my favorite song now i've got a lot you know you could definitely say that you could but i just know but the sort of it starts as very yeah very ambient two chords but then it goes into like a club banger like ag cook Oh fab That's not me gagging this fear stuff Charlie XCX Magic Metal Montana Fab Magic Metal and Montana When's Charlie coming on the pod this autumn?
1:03:47Come on Charlie now Magic Salak Man Who Seeks Pleasure Guys Magic Salak are about to be one of the biggest bands in the world They're from Ireland Everyone loves Ireland They had this one song that was plastered all over my social media Well the man who seeks pleasure is the man and I got so annoyed of hearing that line on social media and then I saw it live at End of the Road and it is one of the best songs I've ever seen
1:04:16Junior Messa The Cops Are Coming James Casper favourite Alex Cameron She's Mine which you just need to listen to and Stevie Wonder Golden Lady because it makes me think of my golden lady aww right here
1:04:35but I guess the other thing is who there weren't really any songs of the summer no I agree even O-Rod's who had a massive summer she didn't none of those Charlie's songs really stuck oh I guess well it's not really either of our things but if you ask the Billboard Top 100 it would be

1:05:08oh i didn't know this good vocal performance yeah the billboard top 100 would say she's room tixas i can tell i know she's broke all the records ever it's the longest lasting ever song on the Billboard Top 100. 1:06:45Malala's brother DJed topless at my Ibiza party last week. Malala DJed topless? Malala's brother Oh And then we actually do have an agony aunt Do you want that? We got three responses No we got loads Oh great Okay We did the funny ones Do you want a serious one? You tell me You drive My partner says he loves me And wants a future with me But we had a summer But in the summer We had a blip And breakdown in a relationship And he said he had doubt And was not sure He wanted those things anymore Then broke up with me Within an hour He regretted it And we made up takes a really long time to build trust again and he has since been very reluctant to ever investigate any conversation about our future instigate any conversation about our future together or no bother for context we've been together for two years we stay at each of his houses all the time he before me never has had a relationship me before him i've had three very long-term relationships one where we had a flat in cats and then eventually he cheated on me and emotionally manipulated me sorry about that i love my partner and i can understand he is scared but I'm also very unhappy in the rate at which we're moving.
1:07:51What should I do? Oh, gosh. Oh, they kind of carried it on. You tied it up there, hon. He wanted us to live together next year and was suggesting monthly check-ins now. I have said I want to be with someone who wants to eventually live together with me, but he never intersects the conversation just to pieces. Who said they wanted to live with each other? Their partner. Okay. Wow. Fucking hell. You know what? I feel like I've been in this, not this position, but a similar position. And I feel like the answer is sometimes scary. But you have to, like, deep, deep, deep down, you know. It just sounds like a lot of work right now.
1:08:42Relationships are definitely a lot of work, especially when they're long term. but if you're listening to this podcast you're also probably quite young and um you're not in your 50s or having kids yet i imagine and not only should it not feel too arduous to be in a relationship but i think you know deep down whether you're willing to put in the work or not um because you deserve good time yeah and you got to make a risk assessment is could the grass be greener? And that's all it really is because some people make that risk assessment and they're like, actually, you know what? I am fucking clapped.
1:09:25So like... Just ask yourself. Am I clapped? Is this the dream? Both. Is this the dream? It doesn't sound like it's the dream, but maybe there were times where you're also in a bit of a crisis moment and I'm sure there are loads of lovely pros to the relationship that you haven't said because... You're in a crisis. I'm on my way. but deep down deep deep down you know whether you're willing to go through all this work yeah and communicate that all you can do is communicate and talk to your partner yeah and don't bottle it up and with that me Louis Sophie and Bill are all gonna go leave now thanks everyone you've been listening to Straight Diva subscribe, comment, like and blah blah and listen to our music listen to Island by So I Think follow Multiscreen on Instagram so we can get booked for more shows Feeling short on smiles?
