In short
Straight Diva chats about music-industry frustrations (A&Rs “keep it hot” but don’t deliver), promoting a new single and upcoming project, UK underground rap scenes (including Fake Mink), internet culture (Zoella fandom), and answers to listener “agony ants” about sex and relationships. They also discuss bisexuality/transness and how queer identity is judged when someone is in a straight relationship or presents differently.
Guests
Louis (host/guest; co-host Sarah is mentioned; both are East London-based podcast hosts). Greta appears briefly as a person in the intro. “Sophie” is a recurring third-party presence (allergy/housemate vibe). No other named guest with a clear biography is introduced.
Key claims
A&Rs often prioritize relationships and viral timing over real support. “Underground” is mostly branding/social media status, not a strict label. Bisexuals in straight relationships are often treated as “less queer” or “pick-me.” Trans people can face extra scrutiny about presentation.
Notable examples
Drake in-ears work; Fake Mink’s “London Saviour”; Cher Lloyd and X Factor as pop inspiration; discussion of UK underground rappers like Lola Young/George Riley; listener advice on a 23-year-old dating a 55-year-old and on telling a friend you’re not interested in their sex life.

0:28Like... Yes. AI... Like your dirty tart would like that. How did that happen?
0:42Greta hi I'm Lou hi I'm so welcome to straight diva why is it called that don't know I'm a tar really good how are you I'm good it's really nice to see you actually so good oh so good to see you yeah we've actually spent the day together guys yeah I mean kiss link could limb we have been walking through London fields It's a gorgeous, gorgeous summer's day. An Indian summer in the middle of September. It's like kind of when you're maybe five... Oh, sorry. Neighbours just shut the door. I was going to say this weather is like when you're kind of four shags deep into like having sex with someone.
1:26Like in one session. Yeah. And you're like dick is kind of... Throbbing. but maybe slightly lost its rigidity and robustness that it once had. But then it really just comes through on a clear day like today. Yeah, and then you come and it's brilliant. And it's brilliant. And then you never see them again. Yeah. Because it's a sunny day in September. Because they never existed and you're on mushrooms. Yeah.
1:54You've got a single out today. I do. You make music. I make music. My name is Sir. I think I make music. What are you here to promote today? I'm here to promote my new single, Yeah Right, which is out via me and my label. And we've put it out because we wanted more songs about cocaine. Yeah, so why don't you give us a little bit of context, set the world in which Yeah Right arose. So I've got a project coming out at the end of the year called I'm Not Rich Enough Tough Shame. And it's a project about me entering the music industry over all of the years in which I have been in London. and as many despite the woke media's best efforts to keep you out yeah to keep me away me and Sean Faye got through and read love and excel thank you but it's years and years of like trying to get in the industry finally getting there the projects about that and about kind of realising that actually everyone's just on drugs and is nasty and there's lots of like as musicians will know but also artists will know there's a lot of false starts a lot of like bullshit companies coming to you like we think you're the next best thing and then the song is basically about getting parred off by record companies so like the first verse is literally all about that like they said i was perfect um but they don't reply yeah in the morning after you've gone to the party and everything and then you want to continue things no one's replying to you and you're just trying to come down so it's kind of a fuck you to yeah so fuck you to the label is it's the part of the project which is the song before the breakdown and then there's a breakdown song okay uh she's breaking it down god i really wonder what your neighbor thinks of us she thinks of the best podcasters in the land do you know her um bill will i'm new um yeah because a and r so it's a fuck you to a and r's if anyone if anyone doesn't know how the music industry work a and ours are the people who um scout out the talent and then communicate with them on how their music's going and maybe give them a direction once they're on the label but their job is essentially to be just like a village slag really they have they're meant to keep relationships sweet with everyone yeah but it does but the thing the gag is is it's like a and is how it used to be was like you'd find someone who's really talented and make them something now a and r's talk to everybody friends with everybody yeah and then just wait for somebody to have like a viral tiktok and then they all jump on you exactly so even like this year when my gorgeous friend louie sat next to me sorted me with management i had a friend in the industry because i am an a and r because louie's also an a not but like i started signing on my management and at that time it was like there was loads of other managers hitting me up because they found out that managers were hitting me off.
4:41So then I was like talking to loads of managers. It's like a whole It's a circle joke. It's a circle joke. Once someone hears that you're good they'll stop coming. It's not even hears that you're good it's that they've seen a certain person follows you on Instagram they're like shit it's hot. Yeah. It's hot. Well that's it. But like that's not the part I have a problem with because unfortunately that is just that's life. The A &R's job is to jump on something when it's hot. Well, no, sometimes you'd hope they could jump on it before it's hot because they can see that it's good. There are some good A &Rs.
5:20There's a few A &Rs that are in my brain right now who I love very dearly. They're not all bad. They're not all bad. Look, you're great. I like you. It's like, you know, your dad's family, your dad's cousins, they're not all bad. A couple of them have kind of maybe slightly racist views, but Sandra has always got you nice socks for Christmas. Hi Sophie. How are you doing? So if you stop this recording we'll knock your block off, because she might. No, she's on the wrong application. But she's on your keyboard, right? Yeah. Sorry. Is it still recording? It's still recording. We're good. You silly sausage self.
6:01But it's not it's not the jumping on things when it's hot I have a problem with it's the fact that like I don't know who's telling them to do it it must be the old guard or the boss but my old boss when I worked at a label would always tell the A &Rs it's like keep it hot so like keep the relationship warm so like message the artist a lot like before you sign them yeah so that like if anything happens they'll come to you first yeah when in reality so it's like so you're being encouraged to go for coffees with an artist it's like can we hang out next week it's like no like and also it's that thing we're going to talk about meeting up because you've got the possibility to make my dreams come true and you're not making them come true yeah i think that is just like it's like the most like fucked controlling relationship that's why i really struggle with like a nods even ones that are for my friends it's like it's like you have every power in your system to give me a shitload of money to make a project that i've always dreamed of yeah and yet like you're not doing it do you see what i mean It's somehow...
7:01That's the game. They've professionalised... Yeah. Fuck boy. They've professionalised Blue Bowls. Yeah. Leading on. The promise of everything and the reality of nothing. But we can go for coffee every week just to check in. Yeah. And chat about nothing. I'm not going to go into King's Cross. I don't want to go into the Universal Office anymore. Yeah. Anyway, at risk of complaining too much about... I'm joking, I love all the A &Rs and you should keep hitting me up. I was more thinking that people probably think we sound entitled and... We probably are. Spoilt. And we are massively spoiled. But today, we went and got lunch.
7:41Yes. It was really, really lovely. It was really nice. We can't say where because... Yeah, we actually probably can't say. Because then everyone will go there. No, we can't say where we went because... People we know work there. Yeah, exactly. But it was gorgeous. I had a chicken Caesar salad. I had a chicken thigh thing. With some olives and some rice. They sorted us out. We got really sorted out. And I bought it. Because lunch on Sue today. Anti-Sue. First time you paid for anything. First time. Fuck off. Because you never go for lunch. We had a katsu curry on Broadway Market once. Yeah. And we went half seats on that one.
8:15Yeah. I just don't remember. Well, I know because you were like me. And you were like, I'm getting this. And I was like, no, you're not. But this is before we made money. Before we made money. And also. But we would still like to make money. so I just want to say for anyone out there PR girlies just know that they can get us one advertisement on a straight diva yeah today was nice though yeah today was lovely we had a watermelon and cantaloupe salad we had a chicken season salad we had an artichoke yeah which and a dip almost like an ayoli which was I've only had artichoke once not artichoke heart artichoke that you dip yeah in a mayonnaise it was amazing though but like you didn't actually think that no my somebody else ate most of it it wasn't us hmm who's this phantom third person we could be hanging out with god no sophie um and just commemorate just back on yeah right oh yeah because we want to promote your single otherwise why did we make this podcast in the first place yeah you're right please listen to my single i promise i'm really good i'm about to go on tour come to the tour you're about to do a bloody fucking pop-up yeah today we're doing a pop-up shot which is actually i thought about yesterday and instead of getting nervous over things and getting like putting pressure on myself for it to be good or whatever it's actually like i'm doing a pop-up that's fun yeah no i see it's kitsch yeah i've been seeing artists do that for years and now i get to do one mine's tonight yeah so that's fun imagine if you were 18 year old yeah 16 year old me would be gassed with me there's some there's some 31 year old listening right now about to go to the meet and greet and they're like i'm gassed yeah to meet you yeah the thing is i haven't smoked a cigarette in nearly a month a month tomorrow thank you thank you driver um but i um don't know what i'm gonna do to socialize because i'm not smoking nor drinking yeah really tough in that moment when you just want to have a diet just want something to do kiss everyone of age if in that situation i can clean through a pint just know yeah i could be drinking yeah but i'm not I'm just not drinking.
10:20Because I've got to go on tour, Louis. I need to be best for tour. See, the thing is, guys, also, not to side note it back to me, but, like, I am allergic to Sophie. Really? The more and more I go to bed with a stuffy nose because of this lady. Maybe you should break up with Bill. Oh, no. God, that would actually be hell. I'd hate that. Maybe you should get rid of Sophie. Does anyone say I couldn't? Have you seen her? Do you take anti-estimates? Yeah, I do every day. Take a morning, noon and night Do you have industrial strength ones? Yeah I have really good ones Really? And it's still bad? Yeah Oh well Yeah But look You're not getting rid of her?
10:57No absolutely not Have you seen her? Well, I got my in-ears done the other day. Yeah. And she was lovely who did my in-ears and I was like, what did you do this weekend? She was like, actually, I worked yesterday because I'm on a Monday.
11:37She was like, I worked yesterday. I was like, oh, where'd you go? She went 12 hours in Paris. I went, why? Where were you going? She was like doing Drake's in-ears. So she came from Drake's in-ears to mine. What? Did she give you any gossip? The Bob and the Drizzy Drake Did she give you any gossip? No, apparently he's just actually wonderful He's a really, really nice guy I can imagine he's charming I'm like this in his ear And I'm like, oh sorry, I'll do the mod now You fancy Drake? 16:55no but if you get it you get it Zoella is the goat of the internet I am now the goat so that's why I'm hashtagging Zoella Not that I don't completely agree that Zoella's the undisputable girl of the internet. I hate it when Zoella fans comment, why is Zoella hashtag? That's so rude. It's not rude. It's actually, I'm admiring her. And it's also kind of like a really funny thing. Like I do like little vlog things. I'm hashtagging Zoella because I'm referencing Zoella. And then everyone will be like, this has got enough to do with Zoella. I'm like, yeah, but like me being on the internet is referencing Zoella.
17:25Think about it. It's like goat talk, game recognised game. And I'm like, start in my calendar, which will be out in December. And you get a load of different things. Wait, what? Zoella's calendar. Can you remember when she did that? Oh, my God. On, like, day seven, you got a pack of, like, sparkly thing, glitter. Wait, so why does Zoella mean so much to you? To me? Well, because she was so integral to me growing up. Like, she was, like, the OG YouTubers. And there was, like, Jack's Cup and that. Went to my school. Oh, yeah, it's been to Bill as well. Yeah. The curtain comes down. And then Conor Franta, Choice of Anne.
18:01All that lot. Tyler Oakley Pointless Blog Alfie Days I'm not going to make fun of Alfie I love Alfie too I am not a toy I just want to say guys I am not a toy You are really good at impressions And again I was stalking your mum the other day This morning in fact When I knew I was coming to meet you And I was just watching her impressions She was a brilliant Theresa May Theresa May is good It's really good Liz Truss is good Yeah I saw that one Guys if you want something If you're you know Struggling to Find things To do Sorry Sorry Sorry John If you're struggling To find things to do With your parents Yeah And you live in One of the major cities In the UK Could I recommend Taking your parents To Dead Ringers What's Dead Ringers It's the show My mum's in Oh my god We should go Are you going I'm going I've got a spare ticket I'd love to go Yeah I'd really love to go Okay I Yeah she's funny as fuck When you were growing up Did you just used to Do impressions to each other because you're really good at them.
19:03I don't even think I did. I think I was probably two, because I'm the youngest of five boys. So you locked in the closet? I was locked in the closet. I was so much younger.
19:20I was just getting too lost in talking about myself. I was like, me, me, me, me, me. I just didn't see the joke I was walking right into. No, I was, I think in my, at the family table, there were enough voices that were louder than mine. I've only learnt to be good. You've learnt really loud. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. Yeah, for sure. Well, he wasn't only loud, but he would take the piss out of anything that I thought. Oh. You know, like, you know how I can be snobby about things sometimes and I can be like. I don't think you are, but I know what you mean. You are as well, that's why. Yeah. But, you know, you get snobby about taste in music or film or whatever.
20:07That all comes from my brother ridiculing me for liking anything. A table at your family meal, I'd feel so slow. I'd be like the slowest in the room. I'd be like the boy in the corner. Well, no, there's my mum and my brother who are like fast, loud, love the spotlight. That is a bit. It's not quick, though. it's just to be honest a bit insufferable it's probably like having a meal with us yeah you know we've just they've and rightly so they've got a bit big for their boots because they're good at what they do and they've been paid to be funny yeah and that can only last so long and then you do start to become a little bit insufferable and we are already becoming those people yeah uh growing up the thing is though i think we're i'm only funny when i have to turn on honestly when I go out with my friends I'm silent Sarah I'm silent Sarah my friends are so much funnier than I am I'm quite quiet or if you meet me in real life and you know who I am and you're like oh my god hey Sarah and then that's it I actually have nothing interesting to say most of the time and that's not a black or bad thing it's just more like I actually I'm a bit of an introvert for sure I'm actually realising I'm a bit of an introvert but like I lose energy from like talking to people.
21:26I don't gain it. I don't come away like, I'm so glad. Unless I like people like you or like Laura or like... Until someone asks you a question about yourself and then it's like... Oh my God. No, but then even I hate that. How's music going? It's like, fine. Like, off my dick. Do you know what I mean? I've got a song out today. How's it going? Perfect. I ask you so much how your music's going. No, no, but like that's what we're meant to be doing. But how's your music going? Good. Similarly, like you've got to fuck you to the music industry. I've got to fuck you to people who like dumb phones people I guess ultimately myself but like the kind of regression of maybe like east london people yeah to go like oh I'm just gonna go and you know remove myself from the wonders of technology because I have the means to and just go to my go to the countryside and unplug and live a very simple bare bones life it's like no let's just enjoy the wonders of modern life yeah and stop and live it up and stop being such a luddite or a golden age nostalgic bastard but to be honest it's kind of about like the worst parts of myself yeah it's kind of about performative males i guess a little bit you'll love this james's friend who was telling me about it yesterday James' friend I'm not going to name his name but James' friend loves the iPhone 5C so much the one with loads of colourful backs apparently he's just so incessant that that's like his phone and he's bought 10 because they stopped making them yeah I mean fake mink and a lot of people in that world that's so that do take all their pictures on iPhone 5 and it's just like I hate that It's so, but it's, I hate it, but I have to teach myself to hate it.
23:17The automatic reaction is to go, oh, that's cool. Like, and when someone does something on a camcorder. Why is Fake Mink famous? Like, because, like, for me, like, I see so many people like that. For years, like all the SoundCloud divas, what has made him different, if you don't mind me asking. No. Just because I see him everywhere at the minute. Oh, glad you asked. Because I see him everywhere at the minute, and I really want to listen, but I haven't yet. But why is he different? Why? See what I mean from like the SoundCloud girls. Yeah. Because I see other posters for like similar artists like Fake Mink and I'm like, this is just what the SoundCloud Divas were doing back in 2017.
23:50What's different, what's new? Okay. Or is it just researched? Wait, when you're referring to the SoundCloud Divas, who are you referring to? Well, it kind of was like, so the scene that I was kind of in never made music like, but kind of like fell into was like the internet, the SoundCloud Divas. So kind of started with like Young Lee and started with Charlie. This is like 2015. Charlie doing PC. Then it was kind of like PC Jason. And then it was like a hyper poppy kind of thing. But then not hyper poppy. Kind of like gothic, emo, hyper pop. And then it all was like that scene. Then it was like SoundCloud rappers.
24:21Everyone looked a bit dirty. Everyone's in Rick Owens. Saving all the money up for Rick Owens. That kind of scene. And I'd get put on shows. And I'd be like, hey, this song's about loving my boyfriend. And then they'd be like, ugh. Sucking on my teeth, ugh. Dibbidi, ugh. And then it was like Playboy Carty. Kind of like sits in that. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then all that. The altinos. Yeah. The alt divas I'm only 20 I was trying to say Anthony Fantano But I said altinos What? Altinos Altinos But like And all that like Yeah So like fake mink To me Is in that same bracket Just of like How they were designing posters Yeah for sure That's exactly The right positioning And everyone's called like Young Yeah Or Lil Yeah Not in this Not in this scene Okay so the reason It's a scene I would say Yeah It's basically because it's the UK.
25:14Okay. There's like a generation of a lot of, yeah, it's mainly rappers who are all pretty young. Yeah. They're like all 17 to like 24. Nice. How old's that being? 20? Nice. I'm only 20, but it feels like plenty, but my jeans still heady. They all like heady Slimane. They all like The Help. Yes, they're exactly the same. um it's yeah it's taken the spot of like kind of the type of people who get booked by fashion brands when they do fashion okay so it's exactly the same thing sorry i didn't actually answer your question it's because he's really good yeah no he's really good um he's really good at writing hooks he can get a bit emo that's a good thing about this current wave they can they can be a bit vulnerable it's not so macho um the beats are really cool to me it is kind of just like um like young lean drain okay yeah like in the uk so it's like so it's like a similar vein because yeah that was similar to like what the scene that i was describing how it was everyone was wearing like everyone was like walking selim in that scene at the time there are people in my head that i could reference but i'm not going to because i don't want to put them but there are a I'm friends at my friend tomorrow.
26:31Yeah. Okay. Nice. Yeah. Like, yeah, really good at writing lyrics and then autistic in real life. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Won't talk to you in real life. Yeah. Quite quiet. Look at the floor. But London Saviour by Fake Mink is. Okay. I'll give it a listen. Incredible. I was just like curious. It's like, cause people love him. He's really good at writing hooks. Yeah. He has some quite funny lyrics. They're quite simple. sometimes in a way that like Pink Panther might master I feel like we both like I know I love it I was just curious as to how no it's a good question it's for like it's for the Tumblr kids of now yeah it's what the Goths listen to I guess but I think it's fun because it takes it's like yeah it's like a less macho version of rap yeah for sure and actually someone would put people I don't know if we have any heads in the chat but people would probably say it's like Playboy Carti and then like Lancey who set the foundations but yeah shout out to the UK underground right now I almost went to a gig last night with a load of UK underground rappers but oh my god but it was it was a Thursday last night and it was from 11pm till 3am.
28:04What makes you on the underground? Am I underground? Well Sue that's a great question. Am I underground? Because it kind of is meaningless although that is actually another fun thing about the scene because I think. It is genuinely underground in a modern context. None of them really get like Spotify editorial none of them do press. They all release songs like once a month and they just fucking churn them out. Well, this is the underground to me means not getting paid yet. I think that's what used to annoy me when I used to do interviews back in the day when I was like 18 to like 21, 22. Everyone was like, oh yeah, an underground artist.
28:40I'm like, that just means that no one's booking me. No shit. Do you know what I mean? I was released to music all the time. Underground in a historical musical context, I think, means that like you're not approved by like you know a major label or a or a big bookings agency or so like i don't know underground illegal raves would have been underground in dance music i guess it's like yeah it's it can often lend itself to like illegal parties or but then it's almost in the modern context just become a thing for alternative or small and it's kind of just like a cool way to say it's a cool branding or marketing tool to say someone's underground when really it's like social media has made everything a lot more or it's not as simple as like if you're on a label you're this and if you're not on a label it's a bit more, there's more middle class.
29:38We're underground. I can't say I'm underground. Why? Because I went to private school Is that right? Am I underground? I did go to private school I've got management though You've got management I don't know what it would I've been underground I honestly don't know No you're not Because you did I used to be You did a playlist for Spotify Sorry But then Why could you be underground? I'm not on a major label You're not on a major label I'm on a label But not a major one And you've only just started to get support from Spotify. Yeah. Like Mink will have support from Spotify. No, literally. Like, it's bizarre.
30:20If you go on any of these rappers, I mean, maybe as a result of like... Is John Eno in that scene? Well, I think John Eno's like the... I don't know what the word is. He's been... Not played, but like he popped off before this whole scene popped. Yeah, I know, because he popped off And I think he's like a few years older than everyone else. But he did have a freestyle called Sweden Freestyle that came out with this producer called Wraith9 who produces for everyone in the scene. Best producer in the whole scene. Which popped off. But like he's kind of in the scene but he's not also. He kind of was like in that world before everyone else was.
31:02Yeah. But not coming up at the exact right time. But he'll go massive. He'll be fine. Yeah Johnny knows fab. I was in I was in Got the whole thing going Bananas I love Because my friend Mika Produces for Johnny now Oh really? Oh Cold Sick producer Cold Formerly intentionally cold Intentionally cold Amazing producer So good Really good friends with James now But we've been friends Produced one of my Produced one of my favourite songs ever Which is a Johnny No song called It's Cold Out It's Cold Out Yeah that's what I love the song With a guy called Oliver Twist or something Yeah yeah yeah That's one of the best songs of all time Sorry No no Mika?
31:38Yeah, Mika produces for... Who else do we know that's cool? Johnny. What other cool people do you know? Yeah, God bless. Did you ever flirt with rapping? No. I think that was the thing, because even being in that scene, even being around loads of arty girls, and everyone being in art school, I really wasn't. I was too mainstream for my own. I used to apply to indie labels, and I was always just meant to be a pop girly. So I'm glad it's not happening now What do you think your first Watch that now Sorry not you I mean the cut What do you think your first Sophie Oh Sorry she's pulling on the wire That wasn't another one of this Sophie was just like that Pushed off the cliff edge That was me Hanging off a dear life Yeah sorry Like Simba But she's playing with the wire No no no Nobody Hey it was nobody's fault It was nobody's fault It was nobody's fault She's fine Are you going to be friends now I love her I feed her every morning who was your like first inspiration to be a pop star or when did you know that you wanted to be a pop star it was the X Factor really yeah heavy on it's like Cher Lloyd year six I know every word Cher Lloyd's first album six and stone yeah I mean you've told me your love for that but I didn't know why was it Cher Lloyd it was the X Factor and it was also like the winning moment and kind of like I think that I think that's what I've struggled with this year is like sign a record deal this sat on the third and like you know game recognition she had gone viral a couple times, a few times.
33:08Yeah, gone viral a few times. But the point being is like back in the day that would have been like this huge thing. And now it's not. And so I think that's kind of like I'm waiting for this like X factor feeling that is never going to come because there's not some massive garden buzzer. I'm not in Wembley and everyone's screaming and like crying and there's confetti falling from the roof.
33:33which is back on the project. I asked you a question about what made you start to dream and then you made it depressing within like 25 seconds. No, because the dream isn't real. Yeah, the dream isn't real. But the X factor. But you're chasing that feeling of winning some big thing and then when it happens it's the most underwhelming thing in the world because all you've gone for is a contract. And then you get it and then you've hit your roof and then you're like, oh. It's like Kobe Bryant said. It's like you get to, you know, you win the NBA championship, you get to the top of the mountain and then you realize it was it wasn't even about that.
34:03Yeah, it wasn't. It was a fence that you made along the way in the jogs you did. Bars. What was it about Cher Lloyd, though? Damn, give it to me. It was the swag. That's what I was literally. But it was seeing a 16 year old girl get up there with a different take on things and go up, give her attitude and be like. Like Katie Wessel or your... Katie Wiesel, yeah. Wiesel. Wiesel, yeah. Or your Diana Vickers. There was a mould, wasn't there? Yeah, whereas Cher wasn't that. And then she just kept getting like, yeah, kind of like that. And then I got... Realistically, that was Charlie. When I saw Charlie spot Paramore at 15, I was like, oh, like...
34:43Spotting who, sorry? Paramore. What? Yeah, I saw Charlie at six spot Paramore in Twitter. I was 15 years old and... Was there many people on that? when super love came out so she did the first whole album it was amazing were there many paramore fans who were enjoying it no no there was interesting who the fuck is it and then she was like oh this is also my song and she played i love it and then everyone everyone went scaring i know that i'm using that word wrong i just want to like preempt that now scared it's what my sister says and all her friends say because it's really no no ruby when when things get lost in translation as they go further up north.
35:25Yeah. So skeng up north and all of their friends mean like getting like really, really angry and like kicking off. Interesting. But that's not what skeng means in London. Skeng means a gun. Yeah, yeah, that's what I mean. But like they all say skeng. So I know I'm saying, I'm like saying it wrong, but I'm saying like this. Skeng. Skeng. Go on, go on, go on, go on. That's it. Why do you think that word became that thing? I don't know. They just, ah, ha, ha, ha, ha. She biting me. I don't really know. you heard this one? no

39:32like like like and then last one obviously that is a very serious question and we appreciate you feeling vulnerable and sending it in. But like, neither of us are professionals, so do take our advice with those thoughts. That one was personal. That one was like, girl. Seven crying laughing emojis. Crazy. One of them myself, just to be clear. Just to be clear. Okay. Sue, I think. Is it time for another 1975 album? No. Are straight men completely washed as culture would like us to think? No. yeah they never will be yeah I think straight moon will always come back we will always be on top will the vinyl bubble collapse the what?
40:19the vinyl bubble what's that? I don't know
40:27I don't know if there is a bubble like I'm presuming the vinyl bubble would imply that like there's a there's a vinyl market there's a vinyl Yeah, vinyl. We're doing vinyl. Are you? Why? Just because it's fun. Yeah. So expensive. Have you seen the cover?
40:49I think you showed it me ages ago, but I can't remember what it is. We only shot it the last week. Oh, then no, I haven't seen it. The cover of the thing. It's really fierce. Uh-oh. The vinyl bubble. It is very expensive to print vinyl. It is. It doesn't make any money, but I don't think that many people are doing it. Vinyl. Yeah. So I don't know.
41:09Coachella Coachella? Oh, fine Coachella It's just everyone playing it that you would have thought was going to be playing it I wanted some more big names Yeah I wanted some more legacy names Who did we get headlining? Biebs Carpenter Should we get it up? I think that's fine There's quite a lot of like I don't know Not that big people Yeah Incredible analysis and carol g carol g is amazing
41:43i can't speak spanish is it bad that i don't know who carol g is really yeah the xx are the second name that means with you i know that were you ever an xx fan no love you on me nine inch noise Not Nine Inch Nails I don't know Disclosure Turnstile Ethel Is Ethel playing? Ethel's playing She's on the top God Good for her Ethel's above Central Sea Come on Come on Get him sexy Blood Orange Yeah it's good Addison Rae The Strokes I'd be happy David Byrne Interpol Sombra Who is Sombra? Babe I have no idea He's come out of nowhere What the fuck? I know And he's just got millions It is amazing I'm not saying he's an industry punk because i think that's a stupid thing to say he is obviously on a major label and he has where have you come from but like the fans are there the fans are real yeah yeah i just it's mad how obviously he's popped in america before he's popped here so we haven't really seen the rise but like major labels do just have insane amounts especially american labels if you're ready to go they can just make your start overnight was that popping and then she just But Ice Place had a song that went viral.
42:59Yeah. What's a somber song? I have no idea. Then we're not straight. No. Well, I've got news for you. Shit. Is there anyone in Brixton looking for a flatmate, i.e. me? I don't know. Chat? Sound off. Is anyone looking for... Is line biking a force for good? Yes. Yes. I'm going to line bike there tonight. It needs to be regulated. because my mum is getting quite angry about people running red lights. Oh, I'd be running red lights. I'd be running reds. You knew that. But yesterday, I was coming back from the party, H &M party. Oh, you were at the H &M party? Oh, hello, everyone. I was at the H &M party last night.
43:42Hi, I'm Sir Fink. Hi, I'm Sir Fink, and I'm here at the H &M party. They didn't ask me to host. There was another host interviewing, which I thought was hilarious because who's me? No one. Thanks, H &M. Crazy. and I had a lovely time met a lot of listeners which was Rebby and I was line biking back and I had one of the line bikes where the seat lowers so I was like fuck this it's annoying so I parked up next to four line bikes and I was like oh one of these all of them had broken pedals and I was like I'm not getting back on this one that's like got a sheath thing so I walked and when I tell you I was walking for half an hour to find a line bike that had two pedals and a working seat in central London yeah I was in Shoreditch it was long but I had headphones in it's like when you're at a gangbang and then like Larry can't get his dick up and then Johnny's fucking Tina and then it's like what I gotta do to get some dick around here what I gotta do to get filled up live show recording of the pod question mark we have spoken about this before I think we'd rather do some sort of a show well I feel like if I'm imagining what a live show recording of the podcast would be we would want to put some actual thought and planning into it i'd love to do it just doing this i'd love to do it but i'd like to know that people are going to come that's my only thing i'd love to do it but like that's the way they'd have to be like a sign up sheet and if there's enough people that sign up for tickets or something like that yeah and well i'm not doing it like and with all my love like a lot of people would you actually come yeah and like a lot of people like don't live in london it's like realistically it's going to be london we'd have to start in London for sure yeah baby baby steps and a Melbourne or something stupid the world tour but no I'd be down I'd just yeah I'd want to know people are going to come and I wouldn't want it to just be like I'd want it to be a bit of a show yeah I wouldn't want to just do like a pub yeah a pub and we just chat and it's like I'd want it to be special yeah is it time to just say goodbye to the Waterloo and Cityline no let the bankers have their fun yeah That dog's annoying Just don't think about it Agony ants?
45:55Yeah What can we help you with today? Hi, how can I help you? How's your day been so far? Good Good Can I get you some pancakes? I must say I gotta recommend the grits At that point Wouldn't you just like Lucky come inside Lucky
46:20I just toss Lucky off Yeah I grab that dog's dick And I just make him absolutely clean Let's get beastio Beastio I wanna get beastio 26, female pan How do I tell my best friend that I don't care about their sex life And it's getting exhausting to have to listen to it constantly Is this my friend that wrote it in? Did Terry write this in? It's about us No, someone else Honestly as someone who Not that I'm shagging all the time But I do like to Anytime I'm in anything romantic Or kissy Yeah I like to bore my friends with it at nauseam So do I And they just tell me To be honest I kind of clock it myself And I'm like I make a joke I just love talking about sex Well yeah so do I I feel like a lot of people don't they're the issue they're the issue it's like one of the biggest reasons we exist well exactly we exist because of it yeah and to reproduce I just love it so actually you're the problem you're the problem and you just ain't fucking enough and on Patreon we're gonna both describe in depth our sex routine yeah our sex routine no okay in all seriousness how do you tell them that you're not interested You just make Just like babe Shut up Yeah you just say babe Shut up If they're a real friend They'll go like okay sorry Yeah fair do Or you make a joke Or is it giving jealous Is it giving jealous No because I definitely Talk about Oh my god Oh my god All my days Sophie's scrapping a fly Banged up a fly You just make a joke That they're too horny Yeah you're too horny Heather Yeah and then And then they'll panic And then they'll be like Oh my god That's it 23 year old hot girl do it for the plot diva shagged a 55 year old man this weekend am I too freaky
48:23no you really delivered that well you really put emphasis on the 55
48:34it really depends what kind of 23 year old you are nonsense answer like for a shag fine and fun relationship baby i'm advising you not yeah i agree even for the shag it's it's getting up there because the thing is it is not the thing of being with the guy it's just more what does a 55 year old guy want with 23 year old i think it's different when you hit 30 30 you can go out with a fucking 70 year old if you want i just find it so weird when someone wants someone in their 20s because specifically 20 to 25 are such vital years of your growth and living alone and being a person alone. What the fuck does a 55-year-old man want with you?
49:19Yeah, the dynamics are from the outset, they're going to be loved. You have no money at 23. Let's be real. Even if you were born into money, you still have no money yourself, unless you inherited loads. But in fairness, I don't think she mentioned anything about being in a relationship, although So she might be flirting with us. Are you too freaky? No. Fuck as many guys. Fuck who you want. Fuck who you like. Dance all night. There's no any time. What is the point of life if not to get your freak on sometimes? Get your freak on. So no. But be careful. Yeah, be safe. Be smart. But no. And keep us posted.
49:56All right. This is probably from a lesbian. I'm gay, but I keep shagging men. Help. Good for you. but that is peaked I wish you didn't say it was from a lesbian but like if they're gay and shagging men why is it oh unless unless they no they yeah no you said you said before you said she's a lesbian yeah she's a lesbian yeah she looks like a lesbian um I'm gay but I keep shagging men well don't vilify it yeah look as as much as uh the media tries to tell you being bisexual maybe isn't the worst thing in the world I wouldn't know Whenever Louis says anything about bisexual I'm just like Go on girl No but they are vilified Yeah they are They're at the bottom of the Well it's not that The truth with bisexuals is With all my love in my heart They're greedy They're disgusting No It's not that They're pick me There's nothing louder Than a bisexual Who's in a straight relationship Obviously you're still queer Obviously you still have your queer card No one questioned you But instead you're like Why is everyone what's that TikTok sound it's like why is everyone looking at me why is everyone talking about me or whatever it is that is bisexual people when they get in a straight relationship right um yeah fuck you bisexuals no it's like it's fine but like I don't know it's like girls it's like trans girls who pass and it's like and then they're like don't look like a man it's like no you don't you've had your whole body done your face done there's nothing about you that's giving that and I think that's dangerous for younger trans people who um this is a different rhetoric but like who haven't had surgeries because it doesn't matter that you like a man.
51:36Just as much as at a bisexual person it's like no one's questioning your queer identity. Bar you. Shut up. Be happy with yourself. We're all happy with you being here. Yeah, love to the bricks. You said you look like a bear. I'm a bear. Obviously not a brick. The thing is I was thinking about this in that I'm a bear. I'm a tiny little bear. No. I was thinking about this in bed yesterday weirdly enough and I was obviously at this party and I went in like a pair of I went in a pair of Ricks a pair of Burberry shorts and a Kaeperni jumper wow but I was dressed like what a life but I was dressed in like I was dressed like in boy drag do you know what I mean and like I just had my parts of makeup on and like there was a load of dolls there who were all lovely don't get me wrong but I was just thinking some of them like I think they do look at me like what is this bitch doing really?
52:28yeah because I think they're like why would you how are you like a trans woman doing that but like I actively choose to do this because I don't care about presenting feminine because I don't care about presenting feminine anymore see what I mean no I know that I'm above it babe you have great style but I'm actually surprised to hear you say that because if anything I feel like like this blends in more than when like you're wearing like a skimpy dress A skimpy dress. No, 100%. I just think it's like, I think there was one thing last night where I was trying to talk to this girl. Uh-oh. And she was just like giving me nothing left.
53:10And it felt as though she was already writing me off. And before I had, I'm going to say it, a small following online. Yeah. I think there were a lot of girls that wouldn't take me on anyway. Ooh. But now will come up to me, run up to me at events. and I'm just saying you need to open your mind to what transness is and that transness means to get across and to be across or something like that and the cross never ends is this a specific brand or career of women that often I think there's within the trans community I think within the trans community I think there's a level of like everyone claps when you go watch FM some of my most liked photos are the ones where I'm watch FM and I think everyone claps it's like oh my god look at Sue doing it right whereas it's kind of like right doesn't exist with transness right doesn't exist and so I think it's exhausting when we are clapping for and celebrating people who people more for when they do like present more feminine or like you know why are we all clapping for that when we should have been clapping for them all the time.
54:25It's my point. So trade the Topshop pencil skirt out for some... A jort. Some diesel jeans. Well, yes. Or whatever makes you comfortable. Obviously, some people want to be the most feminine. Kiki Cockroach. That's so cool. But some of my friends are the most... Like America, for example, is the most puss woman in the whole wide world. And we roll up to the function. I'm like her butch lesbian mate. Do you know what I mean? but that girl sees it for what it is. Do you know what I mean? Like she sees we're exactly the same. She just looks cunt cunt woman woman and I look like, I'm choosing how to look like I look.
55:03So do you feel, I would, Well all the same is what I'm saying. I would describe your style as like streetwear femme. Yeah, same. Cheers. Do you feel like you, do you feel like you face more heads turning or weirdness or? No, see, I think I get, I'm not saying I pass more. I don't know what I pass as, but I get left alone more, I think. Right. I don't get called back in my North Trinity. I'd get nothing. Because I think people are more like, what is that? Rather than like, is that like a boy pretending to be a girl or a girl pretending to be a boy? Right. It's more like a, that's what I get. I'm like, more than like, what is this?
55:45It's like people can't tell. An era of mystery. Yeah. Who is she? Who am I? Who is that? I don't fucking know. My name's not even Sue. What is that? That's my most, the hate comment I get the most is, what is that? And you're like, do you know what? Yeah, I've done my job right. Yeah. So yeah, that's a bit of me. I'm something you couldn't even begin to understand. What Prince said, I'm not a woman, I'm not a man. I'm something that you'll never understand. I never teach you. I never lie. You, I will die for you. Ooh. Darling. I actually flopped my harmony there. Oh, that's okay. I would dare for you.
