In short
The podcast “3 Putt Bogey” introduces the show’s premise: weekly golf stories focused on the absurd, frustrating fun of playing, especially avoiding doubles and triples rather than chasing birdies. Hosts discuss personal golf journeys—one plays casual rounds in Atlanta with longtime friends, shooting low-to-mid 90s, while the other plays club tournaments in Los Angeles. Notable examples include a driving-range bit involving a golf club wrapped in saran wrap and painter’s tape.

1:29bogey is kind of the purest expression of that. Every golfer knows what that's like. Yeah. I mean, that's kind of the show in a nutshell. Obviously, we're going to talk a lot about the game of golf that we love so much, how absurd it is and how fun it is and how just, you know, it's vexing and frustrating. But more than anything, just how much we love the greatest game in the world. We love it anyway. We're putting these out every Friday morning for your weekend golf routine. Yeah, Adam, I wouldn't hit a shot the other day in front of the card girl. Let's talk about the meltdown a little bit because at this level, it is so much less about making birdies.
2:08Yeah. And so much more about avoiding doubles and triples. It's the curse of where I am right now, which is truly great shot, truly terrible shot. It's weird how much it changes from shot to shot at this point. This is a show about sharing our experiences on the golf course and how absurd and funny they can be. Yeah, and you know, one thing for sure we're going to do every week is our personal golf journeys because we come from a couple of different places. I'm here in Atlanta playing basically weekly casual rounds with some of my oldest friends and shooting like in the low to mid-90s still. And I'm playing a lot of club tournaments in Los Angeles, which for some reason hasn't managed to take all the fun out of my game.
2:54We're trying to make the golf podcast we want to see out in the world. Exactly. I would listen to this show if I wasn't me. And that's what 3 Putt Bogey is. It's 3 Putt Bogey, everybody, out every Friday. You can find it on the iHeart Podcast app or wherever you get your podcasts. So just to paint the picture here, you went to a driving range with a golf club covered in saran wrap and painter's tape? Yes, yes, yes. Did you take pictures of this? Thank you.
From the publisher
3 Putt Bogey is a golf podcast hosted by Chuck Bryant and Adam Pranica, two mid handicappers who are just good enough to know exactly how bad they still are. The name says it all: one great shot, followed immediately by the kind of self-inflicted disaster only a mid-handicap golfer can produce. That's the whole sport, really, and this show lives in that gap.
Every week, Chuck and Adam break down their most recent rounds, dig through the bag, and try to actually get better — which is harder than it sounds when social media serves up an endless, contradictory firehose of tips, drills, and gear you're told you absolutely need. They'll talk about what's actually working, what's total crap, and what happened when they tried it on the course anyway.
Expect gear talk, course recaps, golf movies and video games, rules debates, questionable gambling picks, and a healthy amount of self-inflicted misery, all in service of two guys trying to shave a few strokes off their game and laugh about it along the way.
