52This isn't about health. It's about living in harmony with your greatest and highest potential. Welcome back to the Superlife Podcast. Today, I'm going to pull back the curtain on one of the most important parts of my life, how I prepare to travel. Since I travel quite a bit, now I'm cranking up even more. Whether I'm flying across the world or just flying a few states over, If I'm exploring something or filming something, I never leave my health and wellness to chance. I prepare, I get ready, because travel is already stressful and it can be a big disruptor to our bodies. Our immune system, stress, hydration, circadian rhythms, different shifts, EMF exposure, nutritional deficiencies, and so much more.

56But with preparation, you can turn travel into an empowering experience that can lead you to greater health. That's right. It can lead you towards some great habits. So let me take you through my ultimate travel wellness preparation, what I pack, why I do it, and I have all the research in the show notes. Okay, so the first thing, I want to go through the supplements. Now, I don't go too crazy on the supplements, but my main objective is to keep my immune system humming. because of stress. And sometimes when I'm filming, it is ridiculous hours, in and out of hotel rooms, lack of sleep, and everything else.

49My number one thing that I dive into is a good vitamin D3 and K2 supplement. This certainly supports the immune system and the respiratory system and vulnerabilities, especially when the plane I start dosing high on my vitamin D and K2 now normal prescription could be around 4 ,000 international units I start cranking those depending on if I'm gone for a week or two weeks this is not medical advice but I go over 10 to 20 ,000 international units when I'm under those conditions. The second thing I do is probiotics. Because you're being exposed to so many things and stress affects your gut, I make sure I'm supplementing with a great probiotic.

48I'm not giving all of the specifics as to the products I use, but the probiotics I use in this case is I use seed probiotics there's a lot of good probiotics out there I also make sure that I have zinc and vitamin c supplements so zinc can shorten duration of cold so again I preempt that and obviously vitamin c reduces the incidence of colds and stressors. So increase that antioxidant capacity. The other great one is the master antioxidant, and that is glutathione. I've got some stuff from some researchers, some liquid glutathione that has been fantastic. It's not out on the market yet, but this reduces oxidative stress and certainly from radiation exposure when you're in those long, long flights.

52So glutathione is a must. The other one that I've most recently implemented is CBD. Learning more and more about the endocannabinoid system and the incredible need to keep that in balance. certainly from the guest I had on my podcast and a good friend now Danny Fontaine. The research is so compelling around the endogenous endocannabinoid system but also what you can do to support it. I got some terpenes that I inhale from Danny as well as CBD. So this is great, supports stress resilience, sleep cycle regulation. And then the next thing that most people are deficient in just generally, but certainly under stress, a good fully spectrum magnesium.

52Many different types of magnesiums do many different things. So I just use a full spectrum that hit it on many levels. Bio-Optimizer has a great magnesium that I use. The other very important supplement that I take is NAD. And now I'm using multiple NADs, some from a researcher that has a stable form of direct NAD, but I have always and continue to still use the nicotinamide riboside, the precursor for NAD from true niagen. So I load up on all of those things, especially under travel and under stress. Now, it doesn't mean that I'm not also including superfoods, super nutrients, and elixirs and adaptogens.

50So I pre-mix this to make this as a part of my morning ritual. It typically is a great ceremonial organic cacao powder. I mix it again. I mix it in a mason jar before I travel. Cacao guarana, which is a Amazonian caffeine, but different than coffee. I really, really like this Amazonian guarana. I've used it for 30 years. Also, Nan, I load it up, again, mixing up all in the powder form. I load up with ashwagandha, as well as, of course, chaga, my favorite medicinal mushroom, and as well as the great adaptogen, the powerful one from traditional Chinese medicine, and that is ginseng. So for the most part, that's what I pre-mix.

54It tastes amazing because I also add this last ingredient, monk fruit, clean source of sweetener. So I mix all of the stuff. Sometimes I'll just mix everything else and then I'll bring monk fruit powder with me and then I'll just mix it to taste. So what I'll do, and I'll talk more about the water side of things, I boil water, I make an elixir, I bring my own kind of canteen, and then I make that every morning. And that's my up and go, super food, adaptogenic, warm, comforting liquid that I use in my meditations and stuff like that. So the cacao also supports and delivers magnesium,

46theobromine, phenylephlamine. All of these things come from the cacao. They're amazing. And certainly the guarana and the ginseng are great natural forms of energy. Ashwagandha certainly supports the cortisol balance and regulation. and chaga is an incredible, incredible immune-supporting adaptogen. So again, I think of the stress I'm under when I travel, so therefore I'm adapting what I'm taking and I'm amplifying what that is. Instead of reaching for airport, coffee, or anything else, I am getting nutrient density. there's more that I take but I'm just going through each one of these things because we're going to get I'd like to take a quick break from this episode

39Darin Olien:to thank our sponsor Fatty15 that's right I want to talk about something that isn't talked about enough keeping our cells healthy here's what I'm doing now to prioritize cellular health supplementing with this new exciting research and it's called fatty 15. Fatty 15 has three times more cellular benefit than omega-3s or fish oil. This is dietary odd chain saturated fatty acids, OCFAs. They are present trace levels in dietary fat, some fish and plants. Higher circulating concentrations of this OCFS, we realize through the research that higher circulating concentrations of this is extremely good for us.

33Darin Olien:It is called pentadonic chaotic acid or C15. Omega-3 fish oils and algae oils often go bad before they're even in the bottle. That's right. They're susceptible to oxygen and sunlight and the supplements can't even help to improve our health usually. But fatty 15 or C15 naturally protects against damaging oxidation both in the bottle and in your body. If you want to get a little more science-y about it, studies show that C15 works by strengthening our cells, improving our mitochondria function, and protecting us against damage from free radicals on a very deep level. The result, better long-term metabolic liver and heart health functioning.

23Darin Olien:It ends up many of us are massively deficient in C15, which results in weaker and weaker cells that makes us have less energy. And we quit working earlier. We're seeking to find that energy. Where is it? All of this makes us age faster and faster. and the science around this is so fascinating. We sleep poorly, we feel sluggish, and we're all looking to feel better and have more energy. Does it sound familiar? Fatty 15 is science-backed, award-winning, vegan-friendly, and pure C15 supplement. That's it. By replenishing ourselves with this newly discovered C15, the nutrient of fatty 15 effectively repairs our cells and restores our long-term health.

20Darin Olien:That's when you have to celebrate science. When science discovered something sitting there all along, after 90 years of discovering essential fatty acids like omega-3, 6, and 9, we now have discovered this incredible odd chain saturated fat c15 fatty 15 is on a mission to replenish your c15 levels and restore your long-term health and i'm with them in that you can get an additional 15 off your 90 day subscription starter kit by going to fatty 15 f-a-t-t-y-1-5.com slash Darren, D-A-R-I-N, or use the code Darren, D-A-R-I-N, at checkout. You will not want to miss this incredible deal and this incredible uptick to your healthy cells.

18More into the the superfood supplements that I also take. But in terms of hydration and nutrition, hydration is key this is a non-negotiable whatever you know i was traveling in some of the nordic countries they have some of the best water in the world tested amazing i didn't even need to worry about it in some of the locations i was in so but what i always do and never leave it to chance and that is using a manual reverse osmosis pump filter. So it's a manual pump. I've shared it on my socials before. You put one tube in a sink in a hotel room, another of the clean water going into your bottle, and then discharge water, that's the filtered water, into another glass.

15And then I pump that. So I make two liters of water every day if I don't have access to water. So I always travel with that pump. You can look that up on Amazon and look up camping or travel RO manual pump filter and you can get one. It takes a little bit of effort because it's a lot of energy to push down. so you've gotta it takes a little practice but for me it's a little bit of a ritual at this point in the hotel rooms but super important and of course now I have a super life blue bottle that will be soon for you to buy so I travel all around with this literally says super life on it and that's the bottle that I use.

11I always carry a glass bottle with me so I can take that water that I just filtered, put it directly into glass, then add my monovitality, Ormus minerals, electrolytes, She Legit, fulvic acid. Boom, now I have this massive nutrient-dense monovitality with clean water. I cannot emphasize this enough. Imagine no plastics, no dehydration. You're in full control of your hydration. Okay. These are things are key. These are jewels for me. So take notes, take this with you, look in the show notes and write this stuff down. Nutrition on the go. A great, one of my favorite superfoods in the world is chlorella and spirulina.

20I always, always, always love and consume this on a daily basis. I have a new partnership with energy bits i've dug into all of their testing all of their research all of their protocols and the nutrient nutrient value of this tablet that you can add to a smoothie or just bite on it and swallow it whatever you want to do studies show that it absolutely supports detoxification and the immune system and certainly any exposure to other things will help the body kind of flush things out the next very important thing that i've traveled with for over 20 years that is my baby the thing that i started creating in 2006 and has been on the market ever since selling billions and billions of dollars and millions and millions of servings.

22That is Shakeology, the greatest superfood shake on the planet. Tested over 5 ,000 times per batch. You don't think we take safety and nutrients as number one? Well, we do. with 5 ,000 tests per batch. It's incredible. Plant-based, it comes in packets. So depending on how many days, I grab a bunch of packets, I threw it in. I've also taken the big bag with me. And then once its seal is broken, I put it into a Ziploc bag when it's in the suitcase. So Shakeology so I can have a superfood shake every day, non-negotiable. The other great snack on Plains is my other baby, the incredible nutrient power of Baruca nuts.

19So Baruca is my favorite nut in the world. It's the most nutrient-dense nut in the world. And it's supporting, obviously, I've said this many times, it's supporting the indigenous people of Brazil. So there's no good food. If there's no good food available, I have Shakeology, I have Chlorella, I have Barucas, I'm good. And I can also just fast. So this is really important. You want to always be in your own sovereignty as it comes to taking care of yourself. There are restrictions on planes and stuff like that, but you can do so much. The other thing that I want to dive into is physical fitness and activity.

13I always bring a portable gym. I pack bungee cords. I have used bungee cords for 30 years. They are my gym anywhere, any hotel room. I can hook it around knobs. I can find open spaces. I can find trees. I can find railing. I can wrap the bungee cords around. I can do legs. I can do back and chest. I can do shoulders and buys and tries. I can do everything. And sometimes I'll just do body weight stuff. And if I find pull-up bars, then of course I do that. So even, you know, in the last travel that I just did, sometimes I literally had only 20 minutes or five minutes. I just did something. I moved my body no matter what.

10And this is huge, especially when, I don't know, the kind of travel I do. I'm usually on a mission. I'm usually boogieing. I'm usually doing a lot of stuff. So I make sure that I take care of myself. This is wildly important. There's a bunch of other things that I want to talk about. So I want to walk through like my morning routine, which is not too different than my normal morning routine. But it's important to state that when I need to be there. If I am doing something, I have a meeting, I have a talk, I am filming something, I wake up two and a half to three hours before I need to be there.

55So I have no stress. I can prepare my water. I can hydrate. I can do my meditations. I take, I use NuCalm, that meditation app. It's more than a meditation app. It's a neuroscience app that helps reset my brain, especially with all the travel. And even on the plane, I will use New Calm. It just really helps the body deal with the stress as well as the disruption of sleep. Also, another morning routine I do after the New Calm is I just went through this book, The Healing Codes. So I do self-healing on myself. And if you want to check out that book, I'm diving deeper into it, into my Patreon. So if you haven't heard, sign up for my Patreon.

51It's only$7.50 a month. And most of what I'm sharing, I'm sharing there. No more social media from a deep dive perspective. Social media is not the same anymore. so I'm going to create greater and greater value in my own community and that community is you so check that out so I dive into my my it only takes a few minutes to do my healing codes for myself for others and for my dog I go through that routine and then as I'm kind of doing that journaling is my next phase I'm drinking my cacao elixir that I just talked about so that's where I'm have this whole amazing, uh, routine. And also during that process, I will be sitting on a Therisage red light pad or a red light hat or a red light face, uh, thing that I travel with.

54So Therisage is my go-to there. Um, easy to pack those easy red light panels, um, that are kind of no bigger than a large piece of paper, a little thicker than that, but easy to pack. And then the other thing I do, I do some stretching routines, some movements of my hips, my upper body, my hands, some twists and stretches and mobility stuff. These things I do every day. So notice that I have time to do all those things, which is extremely important. After I do all of those things, then I will go into my workout. After the cacao is kind of kicked in and I'm feeling good, then I got a workout in and I'm ready to go when I need to meet somebody and ready to have a clear direction.

53and filling my cup up every morning is the greatest thing that I do for an everyday life, but as well, and it's certainly and more powerfully even when I travel. The next thing that I want to talk about is electromagnetic frequency or radiation protection. so airplanes TSA by the way TSA you never need to go through that big scanner that radiation scanner they're finding more and more evidence of course they are that that puts your body under stress you can always opt out it's all you say if they if you don't have TSA and you have to go that big thing you say i'd like to opt out they have to let you opt out and then they just takes a little more time so make sure you go to the airport earlier and let your and pat let let someone just pat you down and then you're good the other thing that i always carry with me is the emf disbursement device that doesn't need to be plugged in and that's from waveguard my good friend and Hagen Vairs, who developed it and have proven it through research and studies that this helps mitigate electromagnetic field stress.

23So it's always in my backpack, and it's always with me on the plane. TSA always pulls it out, so what is this? And I either tell them, and they don't believe me, or I just say it's just copper. There's nothing else in there. Looks like a little tube. There's nothing else but copper wrapped around it. And then I sometimes make stuff up and just have fun with them saying, oh, it's for field work with electroculture with plants. And I just have fun. But they always let it through and it's never a big deal. So that's what's important. So I just want to recap a few essentials. Cacao helps me not only with energy and magnesium and helping the brain.

14It also is grounding to me. I also use small nicotine doses, three and a half milligrams of nicotine from a good buddy who has a company, Athletic Nicotine. athleticnicotine.com. So when I need to be on, be sharp, I put a little nicotine patch. Plus, it's good for the immune system. It's good for not necessarily modulation, but it helps if there's so little nicotine for some energy. And at those low doses, it's not habit forming. It's just a little bump in brain support and immune support. I also, within my routine, which I didn't mention before, but I wanted to make sure I mentioned, I do my breathing practices.

12So I do three to four rounds of 40 deep breaths in the nose, out the mouth.

24It's like Wim Hof method in the nose, out the mouth though this helps de-stress helps the immune system helps stress control essential essential so those are the main things that i do while i travel without exception i always do all of those things because that's what works for me take what you want from what i shared but again I don't like to give my power away I don't want to be on a plane oh the other thing I want to mention is prepared and preparing foods so if I'm leaving uh and I am going to be on a plane for a while I prepare in a mason jar I put fruit watermelon is like cut up cubes fill up one mason jar watermelon one mason jar of strawberries and berries so now keep in mind watermelon hydrating on the plane blueberries strawberries not only hydrating but also antioxidants so that would be like if i have an early morning flight that's my breakfast right i'm not eating airline food it's very very very rare that i will eat any of that stuff and if I'm also if I want a salad if it's going to be later I will mix mix a salad in a big bowl throw all the rainbows in there of colors and mix it with hummus so there's no liquid if they see liquid migrating on the bottom of your mason jar then that's going to be a problem and they'll probably throw it away.

14But if you mix just a small amount of hummus, so you have hummus and taste and you have nuts and seeds and your salad, and then you bring, you know, wooden utensils, you are set, man. You don't need airplane food. These are the things. Preparation, preparation, supplement preparation, hydration preparation, fitness, electromagnetic field awareness, grounding practices. When you get to your location, take off your shoes, find some ground and put your feet on the ground, lay on the ground, get outside as much as possible, get your eyes looking, getting some real light in your eyes whenever you get to location.

03These things are powerful. Okay. So hopefully that is super helpful for you. It is rock solid for me when I travel and I'm about to travel a whole lot more. I've got four countries to hit in three months. So these will be implemented every step of the way. Okay. Thanks everyone. Love you. Peace.
