0:32Alec Baldwin:Before we dive in, I've got something incredible to share with you, and it's a real game changer, and it has been for me. You know I'm about the intersection of ancient wisdom and cutting-edge science. Well, monovitality has found a way to fuse both in the most powerful way I've seen. Every monovitality product is a blend of sacred ingredients from Himalayan shilajit, which has been used for over 10 ,000 years in the Ayurvedic tradition, as well as Ormus, Dead Sea Minerals, and essential oils like Ode and Rose Auto. All combined with modern frequency-enhancing delivery systems, it's like putting a tuning fork in your cells.
1:20Alec Baldwin:These aren't isolated supplements. They're designed to work together to support your overall energy, your immune system, your skin, your mood, your radiance. It's luxury wellness with no compromise, with a deep respect for the vibration of what we put in our bodies. If you're ready to align your biology with the highest potential, this is it. It's about living in harmony with your greatest and highest potential.
2:24Jason Momoa:quietly filming something very special. Traveling, sitting down with people, digging in, adventuring, listening, gaining insight, finding solutions, as well as sitting down with incredible people and conversations and celebrities across cultures and landscapes. If you're following my social media, you may have seen a few headlines out of Sundance. We finally released a teaser trailer to the project. And you may have seen a few familiar faces. Shailene Woodley, Jason Momoa, Elijah Wood, and Alec Baldwin. And we are still filming, which is why we're not revealing everything. I'm going to share a little bit from the insight of Sundance and a little bit of insight into the show so that you can join the movement.
3:17Jason Momoa:Because the movement has started.
3:20Alec Baldwin:But this project was never about celebrity. It's about one question, maybe the most important question.
3:27Jason Momoa:What actually makes us happy?
3:30Darin Olien:That was the birth of Roadmap to Happiness. So if you want to stop right now and check out RoadmapToHappy.net,
3:40Jason Momoa:make sure to tune in on that and we have a social handle as well.
3:44Alec Baldwin:But I want to let you know about this special moment at Sundance because we're not done with the project, but getting to reveal it was very special.
3:53Jason Momoa:And with me was on a panel. Alec Baldwin made it. Elijah Wood made it. Shailene was working. And of course, Jason is always working. So they couldn't make it. Shailene and Jason couldn't make it. But Elijah and Alec made it. And we did a panel together. It was unbelievable. And it was fantastic. And it's all over the media. And it's just a creative adventure when you get to see something and they saw the trailer for the first time and get to see not only the audience's raw reaction to this extraordinary adventure that we are on, but to see your fellow co-hosts because each celebrity did one episode with me.
4:37Jason Momoa:Again, we have more to come. We're about halfway done filming. But I want to bring you into Sundance a little bit in this event. So I'm going to replay the questions that they asked me and give you the answers. And that will give you a cool insight into not only that event, but also what it is that we are doing. Again, I'm not revealing so much here because we're not done. And we are building this thing up to be an incredible movement as well as a TV series. So at Sundance, I was asked something that really stopped me. The question that the interviewer had was, as a host, you're not just observing, you're participating.
5:23Jason Momoa:How did these journeys challenge or reaffirm your understanding of happiness?
5:27Darin Olien:And my answer was, the truth is, the road affirmed something deep about us as humans.
5:36Jason Momoa:Getting to travel and immersing myself in many cultures and talk to so many people
5:41Darin Olien:made something so very clear to me. That when people are given the opportunity of health, generosity, community, security, purpose, access to nature, balance, a sense of freedom to be and in their life, it creates an incredible
6:01Jason Momoa:framework for this expression of contentment and happiness.
6:06Darin Olien:It's not about perfection. It's not
6:08Jason Momoa:about constant joy, but this contentment for a greater opportunity to truly be happy.
6:15Darin Olien:It sets that tone. It sets that table for us. So these are foundational.
6:22Jason Momoa:The next question they asked was, what did this series reveal about happiness as a global experience? Well, it always continues to surprise me. And even after decades working in the wellness and sustainability and longevity space, no matter where we are from as people, no matter what economic situation, no matter what
6:46Darin Olien:country or invisible boundary we come from, everybody wants to be happy. Everyone wants joy. Everyone wants to feel safe. Everyone wants a life that feels meaningful. Everyone wants love and connection and community. And when people have many of these things, they are content. They have more happiness, which means they're less reactive, they're more or less afraid, and they're able to express more, maybe even open up their heart more. That's what we're going for. And on top of that, you have more expression of who someone is and more generosity. This journey continues to reinforce the powerful idea that the majority of people are good and they want a good life.
7:40Darin Olien:And the third question they asked was, each episode takes place in a different part of the
7:46Jason Momoa:world with a different culture and guide.
7:48Darin Olien:And people ask me, what connects all of these stories? The answer is pretty simple. When people are given the opportunity, when they feel seen, respected and safe, they are more kind. They are more open. They're coming from their hearts. They share themselves. They share stories. They want to connect. This is us. This is all of us.
8:12Jason Momoa:Across every place we filmed, which again, I'm not revealing, there is a deep desire to live from that sense of freedom, that joy, that connection, that community.
8:24Darin Olien:And to share that, The people we talked to and interviewed and met with wanted to share themselves. We saw this on Down to Earth as well.
8:34Jason Momoa:So as these conversations unfolded, clear themes kept emerging that were really the pillars,
8:43Darin Olien:not rules, not hacks, but foundational things, at least from the context of happiness. Of course, you have subjective happiness. What do you like? Do you like reading? Do you like hanging out with your family? Like all of these things, many things are subjective, right? I love to be outside. I love to play with my dog. These are subjective happiness. But there's pillars. There's foundational things from a community, global type of family, that government family, whatever you want to call it, that when there are more pillars of these things that I'm going to get into, that sets the table for a container of some of these great expressions
9:28Jason Momoa:of life as a human family. So first is, I want to take a break from this podcast and talk about my newest sponsor,
9:35Shailene Woodley:Shakeology. You know, I've spent nearly two decades traveling the world searching for the most powerful nutrient-dense superfoods on the planet. And one thing became very clear to me. Most people are massively nutrient deficient without even realizing it. As I discovered incredible superfoods and botanicals in remote corners of the world, I kept thinking, why isn't there a simple way to get all of these powerful nutrients and botanicals into people's hands and bodies? I knew I needed to create something that delivered a potent, complete nutritional foundation. But no one wanted to pay for the high-quality formula I envisioned until I met Isabel and Carl Deichler at Beachbody.
10:22Shailene Woodley:Carl looked at me and said, literally, don't worry about the cost. We're not going to compromise on this formula. And that's when I knew we were about to create something truly game-changing. So we did. That's when Shakeology was born. It's not just a protein shake. It's a complete superfood nutrition shake with an ideal mix of proteins, fibers, prebiotics, probiotics, digestive enzymes, essential vitamins and minerals, nutrient density. It takes the guesswork out of getting all of the right nutrients with all of the botanicals. So even if my food choices or your food choices later aren't perfect, I know I've already set myself up and set you up for success, which is why I created this stuff.
11:14Shailene Woodley:And let's talk about taste. Because if it's not delicious, no one's drinking it. Shakeology is so good, creamy, rich, super satisfying, and that wasn't easy to do it right. Plus, it actually curbs cravings. thanks to the high-quality protein and fiber that keeps you full and on track. Shakeology is a superfood powerhouse sourced from the highest quality, sustainably harvested ingredients from all over the world. It supports healthy digestion and energy with gut-friendly ingredients to improve regularity and provide clean, sustained energy. Shakeology fills the gaps with an all-in-one blend of greens antioxidants, and nutrients in a convenient, delicious shake.
12:06Shailene Woodley:With zero added sugar, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives, and only 140 calories per serving, there's no junk and no guilt. For me, Shakeology still is my daily safety net of botanically rich superfoods. Even though I eat clean, even though I know what my body needs, I still drink it every single morning after 20 years because it helps me stay on the top of my game. And right now, there's an awesome deal. Free shipping, free shaker cup, and an extra discount on your order. Go to Shakeology.com and use the code SUPERLIFE for 15 % off. That's Shakeology.com, S-H-A-K-E-O-L-O-G-Y.com, code SUPERLIFE for an exclusive 15 % off discount.
13:07Shailene Woodley:Trust me, this is one daily habit you'll actually look forward to.
13:12Darin Olien:So first is generosity. Happiness expands when it's shared. When you share and give to others, you immediately feel happy, regardless of the outcome. And regardless of that person even knowing that you gave them something, paying for someone's
13:32Jason Momoa:groceries and being anonymous, right? You say, you know, I did this once many years ago. I got to do it again because it's fun to do. I did this years ago where three people, I just randomly, three people from me, I didn't even look at who it was. I gave the cashier like 200 bucks. They said, this goes to the third person from me. Don't tell them it was me. What happens when that type of generosity is given? We can do this just by telling someone I love you without it being warranted, right?
14:01Darin Olien:That you're immediately uplifted chemically, biologically, your spirit, and that person is affected. That is generosity. Purpose is another huge pillar. purpose of not just the title of your job, but the knowing that what you do and what matters, and of course, finding your big thing, what really matters to you that you want to put in the world, doesn't always have to be how you make money. Purpose is powerful. Community, community. People can't thrive when you're stuck in survival. So when you surround yourself with like-minded people and lift each other up, you can affect more than we can possibly imagine.
14:46Darin Olien:Also, community security, that's another pillar. People feeling safe. There are places that we went to that literally people felt safe and they felt protected by their own governments, by their own communities. Wow, right? What a concept. Access to nature was always something. Not overworking bosses, not pushing employees to just produce, but to go, hey, go outside, have a two-hour lunch, like all of this stuff. Access to nature, cities built where you can literally walk most places, not be in a car. This is a biological need. When employers know that when people are happier, they work better, they contribute more naturally.
15:32Darin Olien:And of course, health is a pillar. Mental health, physical health, real health is the ability to have so you have more energy, clarity, resilience. So again, I spent a career doing this stuff, surrounding ourselves with whole food and eating and good. I mean, there were places we went, again, I can't say right now, but there were places we went, the whole huge city had glacier water in every building in the city, right out of the tap. What? That's, that's power. That's what we should do. Freedom. The sense of feeling free to be who you are, what you are. This is huge. Having the freedom of a little more time rather than pressure.

16:20Darin Olien:Freedom to express yourself without fear. These are pillars of what we need. They show up everywhere in this series that we took on. Cultures, ages, belief systems does not matter. That when these pillars are in place, you get happy.
16:38Jason Momoa:You have more contentedness.
16:40Darin Olien:So it's more than a show. It's more than a show that we're creating, which is why I want to talk to you about it. It's early. We're not done. We're filming for a bunch of more months here.
16:52Jason Momoa:If the final question at Sundance was, As the viewers walked away having learned one thing, what do you believe or what would you want it to be?
17:02Darin Olien:What hope would you want? I said hope. I want people to have more hope rather than catastrophizing everything that we're being inundated with at all times. Be aware, be concerned, but don't let it crush you. If we give up hope, we give up everything. So that is why we're here to create a movement. That is why we're here to build it right now, today. And that is why I shout out to my good friend,
17:30Jason Momoa:producing partner, Kerry Floyd. Because without him, he does all of this other stuff and production and producing that just makes this happen. You know, ever since, he's been with me since down to earth. And ever since down to earth,
17:43Darin Olien:something that happened that was so very powerful is that we had hundreds of thousands of people that reached out. I'm inspired. I learned something. I want to make a change. Hundreds of thousands just reached out to me. So we knew we had something, but we didn't have a foundation to help people grab that opportunity. But that's what we're doing now. Imagine millions of people just 1 % happier. The cascade effect, the butterfly effect that that would have on the global world stage would be powerful. World altering. Happiness is magnetic. It does create real change. So at this point, on this road, it became clear that it wasn't just a TV show.
18:35Darin Olien:We didn't want to just talk about happiness and joy. We wanted to put it in practice. That's why the Roadmap to Happiness is right now a living movement that we started at the launch of Sundance. If this resonates with you, please, please go to roadtohappy.net. Like all our posts, do all that stuff, share it with people, join the movement. We are going to be creating a lot of powerful things, community, giveaways, all kinds of things, behind the scenes stuff when we can. This is where it comes together, when we come together. when we explore these big questions when we dig in we don't want to wait until the show is out we want to build it now but when the show is out there is more coming so we are creating some exciting things that we can live from that you can live from and clearly this intersects with super life and everything i'm doing because that's what we want we're still on the road We are still filming.
19:37Darin Olien:We are still listening. We are still learning. But I want you to hear this directly from me. This is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, remember what matters. Join us right now and I'll see you on the road. The road to happy.net.
19:53Jason Momoa:I'm super excited. I hated having to hold back and not communicate this with you, but that's part of the deal. I've been doing, we've been creating this for the last, like I said, two and a half years. And this just feels very powerful. And just like the reception we got at Sundance, it is a dry sponge to water that we need this in the world.
20:16Darin Olien:And we need to come together and not be manipulated by amygdala and dopamine and scrolling all the time.
20:24Jason Momoa:Let's stop the scroll and start the roll on the road to happiness. I love you all. Thank you for being on this journey. Let's freaking go.
