In short
The Buckleys chat about a late-night kebab that cost £12.50 for a single wrap (no chips/sauce/salad), then pivot into “time travel” hypotheticals—what era they’d live in, whether time travel is real, and what they’d change. They also discuss apocalypse survival plans, listener emails (driving test nostalgia, superfluid “drink instead of eat,” and old magazine memories), plus “Buck in the Day” and games memories.

Key claims
53% of Britons prefer going backward in time (YouGov); 25% prefer forward. Most popular decade to live in is the 1960s; pre-20th-century is Victorian. Time travel may be possible only forward; language would sound unintelligible. Apocalypse plan: shelter first, then food/medical.
Notable examples
Victorian cholera leading to more beer than water; mini penny-farthing sighting; viral 1928 “time traveller” phone footage; JFK assassination photo with “iPhone” claim; Goodnight Sweetheart’s money-printer plot.

1:28The world's gone mental Do you know how much English language has changed? It's like...
1:37Honestly, it's bizarre. But I also do like seeing kids play instruments. Oh, don't take that out of context. Well, listen, there's your title! There's your title!
1:55Anything? Oh, James, come on.
2:02Have you got it? I don't know. No, I heard something there when you sniffed back up. Oh, now my ears have gone pop. I'll get to it. I'll get to it at some point. Stay tuned. Hello and welcome to the Buckleys, the podcast where we sit down. And wait for James to find his snotter. Moan a bit and invite you into our lives. Before we get into it, we just want to remind you that you can get in touch with your stories and questions for us by emailing thebuckleys at platformmedia.uk or you can message us at thebuckleyspod on Instagram and TikTok. 2:36And if you do enjoy the show, why not go ahead and leave us a nice review? Nice one. A nice, well, it doesn't have to be nice, but it needs to be five stars. Hey, Claire. Hey. Do you say snotter or is that a Scottish word? Snotter? Do you say bogey? Not really. Say bogey, yeah. Bogey. Is that what you call a bogey? Snotter. That's snot. I bet an individual one is a snotter. How are you? I'm okay. I'm having a problem with the repost button on Instagram. This is a fairly new feature. You keep hitting it. Sometimes I'm scrolling and I can feel like a little pulse on my phone. Yeah, those are scary when you can't see what the pulses come from.
3:19As if like I've clicked a button or something. Anyway, I checked my reposts the other day. Did you have loads? I didn't have loads. I had one. Oh. Because like I say, usually you can go back and go, what was that? Have I just fucking liked something? What was it? I don't know. How long has it fucking been there? I took it off. It's a little boy playing guitar. When you say a little boy. I mean like a five-year-old boy playing the guitar. Right. Now, fine to scroll by and be like, wow, that's cool. Yeah. But to repost it. It's creepy. it's a bit be careful Buckley it's a bit odd wow oh I wonder how long that had been there I don't know how long that had been there did you check it was it a well liked video like was it like a million likes or something no I don't think so I see for worse yeah I think it was just like four likes or something like that it was really random was it not caught did you check the comments no did you go you've seen James Buckley's reposted yeah I just I panicked and I was like why is James Buckley reposting hosts of children.
4:30Oh no. Yeah. But do you know what is weird is I do genuinely, that does come up quite a lot, kids playing guitar for me. Yeah, well, you and Harrison watch those all the time. I know, but I also do like seeing kids play instruments because I just think, oh, that's great. Oh, don't take that out of context. Well, listen, there's your title. There's your title. So you date me all the time. Click that Click that But you know what I mean When we're in a We're in a day We're in a world Where it's like You know They're all on their phones They're all on their phones I know what I mean They're more likely to Fucking Become shit hot A guitar hero Than they are Actually picking up An actual guitar I know what you mean And then when you see Some kids that are like Actually And you go Fucking hell I like Plays guitar Better than I could Ever dream to And he's like Five years old Oh was he really good Yeah Right Some of these kids Are amazing Yeah let's move on don't repost it no it's too much Claire let me have a quick little moan okay and then we'll then we'll really get into this podcast okay just a quick one just a fucking journey in journey in today oh my god our train we got on the train the train turned up on time did we got on the train the train took over an hour longer than what it would usually to get to the station yes we crawled all the way yeah into town today yeah and my and that's fine I get that It happens sometimes, all right?
5:55Yeah, it's annoying. It's irritating. But you can, you know, life's life. It's what it is. My problem with trains, you know, when they just stop in the middle of nowhere for ages, why does it always have to be where there's no fucking phone signal? Yes, you are having a little. And 5G is bullshit. It is, isn't it? The amount of times when my phone is on 5G and it still won't do fuck all. And I'm like, well, you're lying to me. Yeah. James when I take my phone Out our back door It says 5G Yeah we've got bad Yeah it says 5G But it doesn't work No Never works As soon as I leave the house And I'm trying to put something in maps I know I have to drive around the corner From our house Nowadays To put stuff in the maps In the maps yeah It never used to be like that No No that's a nightmare actually Yeah We've had one of those journeys Where at every single point There was a delay Yeah there was a problem Somebody fucked us on a taxi Yeah Even coming in here, some door was shut.
6:53We had to walk all the way round somewhere. We were just like, we're not supposed to be here today. Hey, Claire, let's have a little swipe because we're going to talk about some interesting stuff. Okay. You look like you don't believe me. I don't believe you. I see a bit of scepticism. Yeah. Okay. Right, come on then. What's this big interesting thing you've got? Time machines. I'll just come out and say it. I'll just come out and say it. We're going to hypothetically talk about if we had a time machine and what we would do. That's a good conversation. It's a great conversation. That's a good pub conversation.
7:28Now, we spend a lot of time reminiscing about the good old days, especially the 90s.
7:37I feel like your heart's not in this anymore, Claire. But this week, we are going way back. Okay, now you're talking. According to a YouGov poll, 53 % of the British public would rather go backwards in time, while only 25 % would choose to go forward. I can understand that. Yeah, I think so. In another poll, Watchpilot surveyed 2 ,000 adults across the nation to finally learn the answer to the question, if you could live in another time period, which would it be? Now, I wouldn't, I'll be honest with you. I know that I do bang on about the 90s and I love the 60s and the 70s and stuff. generally speaking we do not live in a better time than right now oh no i know i know that there's i know there's loads of shit i'm not even talking about like big stuff i'm just talking about i would much rather bring my kids up in a time right pre-internet and phone and stuff right yeah right okay so just ignore that for a second but just living longer eating better yeah sure sure most people do have a roof over their head even though a lot of people are still struggling at the moment but like what I said to you about the middle ages when like life expectancy was the average life expectancy was like 32 or something like that it wasn't actually you didn't actually get to 32 and you were like well that's me, I'm an old man now it's because you were lucky to get past your first week I'm mainly thinking about health we're so much more healthy medical science is really I know it is but This isn't a pub conference.
9:11If we were in the pub right now, I would have been like, right, okay, but let's talk about the fun stuff. But do you know what I mean? Like, you'd get, you'd, you know, go back 100 years. Go back to the American frontier, right? Cowboys, that sort of thing. Yeah. Turn of the century, late 1800s, yeah? Right. If you cut yourself, you'll get infected and you'll just die. Okay, but we don't have to go into that much detail. Don't you want to sit around a fire with your horse beside you eating beans at a pot? don't worry about medical those beans are probably off there's no there's no refrigerator I tell you what if I get a time machine you're no coming with me right let me tell you something you are no coming let me say one thing to you right now and you'll go oh yeah do you know what yeah you're right delivery no that's a deal breaker for you I'm fine I cook I cook my own dinners yeah just me myself yeah yeah where's the shopping come from Claire?
10:08what you think I can't again catch a fish? easy no I'm not saying that easy and also it's been a while since you walked you trotted around and got into a fight in a supermarket yeah well I'm banned for the more I've got to do I've got to do delivery no but I wouldn't go that far back I'd maybe go for like a couple of hours or something yeah that's what I mean I wouldn't want to live there no I'd like to go back and visit and then come back again well that's the whole point of the time machine no if you could live in another time period which would it be so the survey survey found out the most popular decade that people wanted to live in was the 60s.
10:44Yeah, that would be me. The most popular pre-20th century time period was the Victorian era. So quite interesting how they're both modern. Yes. See, I wouldn't mind the 1920s either. That would be kind of cool. I also need to be rich. Yes. Because for anything I know about history, and it's still the same now, isn't it? You have to have some money. But if you're poor, you're fucked. Yes. Even more so back then. Oh, God, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'd want to be one of the women with the big feather hats. Yeah. Yeah. What? In the 20s. Right. A flapper girl? No, like the big to-do with a petticoat dress.
11:25Right. But when you think about... 1920s in New York. Oh, yeah. Well, yeah, but you'd have to be rich again. Yeah, well, or... Or a gangster. Yeah, that's what I was going to say. I'd marry a gangster. I'd love that. Yeah. so like Jack the Ripper times Victorian times yeah like the reason why this geezer was just killing people and getting away with it so much just was because he was a doctor because he was in the well we don't know that but he was in the east end which was fucking grim absolutely grim and when it got to night time it was just pitch black no lights no lights mate didn't they have little candles on their doors they were smashed right it was just a it was just a real shithole people used to visit used to come in from like Westminster and Mayfair and places like that.
12:11They used to visit the East End to be like, oh God, isn't it awful? Right. Honestly, it was so bad. Wow. You've got to be rich. If you're going back in time, I would do, and I think about this all the time. Do you remember Goodnight Sweetheart? Oh, yes. I loved that. When Rodney would go back in time. Yeah, it wasn't Rodney, but yeah. And Gary. Yeah. And then he had, so he. When you really think about that, by the way, what an absolute asshole he was. He had like two wives and stuff, didn't he? Yeah, he had like two families on the go. So in his present day guy, he had a World War II shop. Yes.
12:49So he would bring stuff from World War II and sell it in his shop, right? Right. And they'd all be mint condition, obviously, wouldn't it? But in his World War II life, he was a spy, which is why he always disappeared a lot and stuff. And he always had the hat on. But he also had In his present day World War II shop A money printer Right He had an old fashioned How they would print money Back in the 40s So he would print money And then go back So he was fucking minted Whenever he'd go back Right And I always think about that I always think Right yeah If I had a time machine I'd make sure I had like An old A really old fashioned Money printer And print loads of old money There you go There you go See There you go You can do that That's fun I don't think you needed to be Rich in the 60s To have a good time maybe I'm just romanticising it but I would either stay here and obviously just like hunt down the Beatles before they got too famous and try and marry one of them or I would go to LA and I don't know I'd probably end up with like Manson or something yeah you'd be in some sort of cult wouldn't you yeah maybe maybe it's best I don't actually fancy travelling to any of these World War 2 no nah too scary yeah too terrifying too scary Roman occupation nah The Roman Empire reached Britain and built roads, forts and towns.
14:07Again, if I was rich. I'd maybe do Egyptian times if I was rich. Right. If you're listening to this, if you're going to go back in time, just make sure you're rich. Right. Okay. Victorian period. Again, fascinating period. Absolutely incredible period. Fucking lots of stuff going on during the Victorian period. Electricity starting to become a thing. they had the telephone bicycle do you know what we spoke about it didn't we? did we? I'm sure we did I think we just told the kids we talked about the woman with a little mini penny farthing we saw a woman at a train station saw a woman at a train station and it was it was mini it wasn't like a huge big one it was a tiny penny farthing so it had like a big wheel right honestly so the wheel was like a normal size wheel and then like a push chair wheel it was a bit bigger she she came out in front of us right and me and James and you were in front of me I was me we and you just looked at each other no this is what's brilliant is Claire spotted this mini penny farving woman with a mini penny farving and instantly knew to look at me because I could tell you were just like got to see what James has got to say about this and you looked at me and quick as a flash I just went stupid yeah Oh, God.
15:30Anyway, yeah. More people drank beer instead of public water during the Victorian times because of cholera. Saver, isn't it? Yeah. It was because of cholera. Yeah. The Elizabethan era, again, too much Shakespeare for me. Right. Okay. Yeah, a bit too prim and proper. Too much Shakespeare. Apart from the Beatles and all that sort of fun stuff, the one time and place that you must know I would go back to in a heartbeat, would be though you first met me no absolutely not JFK oh yeah yeah yeah you know it's interesting you say that I'd get him before he left because I'd also like to have seen the moon landing right imagine being there that was 63 as well wasn't it 69 69 because it was after he died right it was way after he died right he was the one that said we're going to go to the moon and do all the other things not because they're easy but because they're hard well he died in 63 so Ask not what your country can do for you Do you like this?
16:30Do you like this JFK impression? What? What you can do for your country It's a bit more Mayor Quimby but I'll take it Ah yeah Yeah If you could travel would you do some of these things? I feel like I'm going to say yes to most of it Put a bet on future sporting events Absolutely Yeah Would you visit your younger self? Yes and I would tell her to do stuff. Oh, what? You're doing stuff. I know, but I'd say, see when you get to this age, go there, do this, do that. I wasted a lot of time. When? When I was like a teenager. But we got shit done. No, I know, but I would say, go and do this. This is a good idea.
17:13Go and do this. Do you know what? I wouldn't visit my younger self. You wouldn't change anything? Everything's touched with the old wood there. I fucking, I genuinely think I think with my talent and intelligence and ability, I've maxed. I've done as good as anyone could possibly do with what I've got. Okay, and that's fine for you. Look at you. I'm saying I would say, hey, listen. Make some changes. Come on. Be careful. Yeah. Would you give a picture of me? So if you ever see this one. No, there's nothing. I wouldn't dream of changing anything. Okay. I'd like to go back and see dead people. Well, they'd be alive, wouldn't they?
18:00That's what I mean. Well, you can go and see dead people now if you want. People that are dead now, I'd go and see them. Yeah, go and catch it. Yeah, loads of music. Go and watch fucking the original line of Lynyrd Skynyrd or something like that. Imagine. Marron, yeah. Also, I'd say hi to my papa again. Well, yeah. Probably freak him out a bit, though. Would you not worry about the... Oh yeah, you wouldn't be able to go and speak to them because I wouldn't be who he knew me as. Well, I'm sure he'd recognise you as a bit older and that would fucking... I'd probably kill him off. I'd probably get him a heart attack.
18:32Would you bring anything back? No, you're not supposed to do that. You're not supposed to do that. You're not supposed to bring anything back. But what if I get my World War II shop? You're not supposed to do it. You're not supposed to. You're not supposed to touch anything. You're not supposed to talk to anybody. I mean, I'm just going... That's what Stewie and Family Guy says. Here's another thing for you. So it says here, could you explain electricity to someone in a medieval village? Absolutely not. No, I can't. Do you know how much English language has changed? Right. So we would speak different, it would basically be a different language?
19:06It's like...
19:11Honestly, it's bizarre. I've watched YouTube videos of it, of people that have gone to university and they've studied ancient languages and stuff. And what did it sound like? tomorrow we'll go to the door. Here to the church. Like you can catch like bits of words. So we clip this and we just feel like he's finally lost his fucking mind. You catch bits of words and you're like. Right. On the tomorrow, good fish are. Right. Like it's really, really weird. And there's people that have like gone to university, have studied like ancient English. But you can read along what they're saying. and you can hear them talking and it's really, but you wouldn't understand them, Claire.
19:55You wouldn't fucking have a clue. Crazy. Be like when we go up to Scotland. I knew you would have got to say that. Were you trying to have a conversation with my gran? Yeah. It's all Greek. Yeah. So talking about time travelling. Now, every now and again, since before the internet, it always pops up that a picture or a photo of a man at JFK's, you know, and he's got a fucking eye. The guy with the glasses. Or the glasses. He's got an iPhone or something, right? You get these pictures all the time. What's your thoughts on those? It's true. Yeah, I know you'd say that. Absolutely. Have you seen the guy at the Mike Tyson fight?
20:34No. Check that out. He does have an iPhone. He's got an iPhone. People do believe time travellers exist. A viral 2010 internet mystery claimed a time traveller was spotted holding a mobile phone in a 1928 bonus footage from the premiere of Charlie Chaplin's film The Circus. In the footage from 1928, a woman walks through the shot seemingly talking into a device in her hands. She does. Mobile phones. Thanks for putting this down, guys. Mobile phones were, of course, not invented at the time. That was in case I was reading it. Leading people to suggest she may be a time traveller. Yeah. But there's also another one, and it's like early photography.
21:24So mid-19th century, very early 20th century. And there's pictures of people dressed very modern. Right. Like there is one picture of a guy who looks like he was just in Shoreditch five minutes ago. but to be fair those people do dress like they're from the fucking 1800s oh yeah no but there is some I mean there is there's the guy at the JFK assassination and he's wearing like these weird glasses now it doesn't look like they're from this time I think he's even further ahead than us right do you think it exists? no I don't think it's I think you can go forward but you can't go back I think you can go forward in time but you The technology isn't there.
22:12It's about how fast you can travel. Right. If you can travel at the speed of light, you fuck around with time, space time. You fuck around with it. Space time continuum. There we go. Right, let's move on. This episode is brought to you by Apocalypse on Channel 4. Realistically, how long do you think we're lasting in an apocalypse, Claire? I mean, me, I think a while. You, if anything, I think you're going to hold me back. Yeah, you'll probably get a bit further on your own, won't you? Yeah. Right, let's set the scene. You're in an abandoned town without food, water, electricity. You're fending for yourself.
22:55You're still confident? Mm-hmm. So what's your plan of action then, Claire? Find shelter. Shelter. Get boarded up. Yeah. Go and get some food. Okay. Maybe try and get some medical supplies. Sure. And then get back to your shelter. Like it, logical. Yeah. I just look forward to repopulating the earth. Well, that is what the show Apocalypse is all about, apart from the repopulating stuff. What would you do if modern lives came to an end? I hate this already. Two groups must survive 28 days in an abandoned town. No food, no nothing. Push to their limits. If you take, you die. Will they make it to the end?
23:32Survival is the fittest. See, it's all about using your smarts to survive. Sorry, you might struggle there Cheers Stream Apocalypse now on Channel 4
24:00We've got a listener email here from Vicky Vicky? Hi James and Claire I just thought I'd share a birthday present my daughter made for her dad. He enjoys watching your podcast, so she decided to draw him a picture for his birthday. She even wrapped it in tissue paper. Look at that. That's me and you. She spelt my name wrong. We can let her off. Oh, that's so cute. That's really good. I do hope she also did get him something else, though, because... Dan loved the picture as I'm sure you guys will too What else have we had? We've also had a comment from Dave on one of our latest episodes Davey I think you guys are great but the off-camera laughing of the people in the background is so annoying enough to make me not to want to listen to the podcast Who hates the sound of laughter?
24:55Our listeners That's why they listen because it's no fucking funny Exactly And then someone just put cheer up Dave underneath it Hey listen Dave don't worry about it when we first started talking about making podcasts and stuff um a thing that i always like to talk about was like um tfi friday and the big breakfast and i really like that sort of um rough around the edges um just produced on the spur of the yeah yeah yeah we do it on purpose that's supposed to be the vibe we do because no one did it before we these are we were like we We always said, oh, if you guys find something funny, make sure you laugh.
25:32If anything, we wanted more. We made sure that we got a microphone for the team to get pulled up with. Yeah, Dave, we do have the special mic so that we can... We do it on purpose, Dave, because we like it. I like that... Vibe? That vibe, yeah. I like that sort of, you know, we're all... Everybody's just here chatting. We've got another one here from James, who wants to talk about superfluid. Okay. Hi, James and Claire. Spelled with an E. huge fan of the show and just thought I would get in touch after listening to recent episodes thank you James that's what our point that's what that's how you should describe our point James has had a recent episode when you mentioned about superpowers I think a great one would be if humans could just drink fluids instead of eating I think we can do that we all love and need food but sometimes when you're busy you'll have so much on and still have to think what to eat or cook and what the kids want and everyone likes different things.
26:29Imagine just giving people water instead and you don't need to worry about cooking or food shopping. Also, the episode where you mentioned names for things, I live in the Midlands and there is an Indian takeaway slash restaurant called Korma Sutra. Whoa. Isn't that sex? Yeah. I'm surprised I've not heard of that. Korma Sutra. I mean, that's a good one. Yeah. That is a good one. What a great name. I see what he means. like he got me when he was like oh you have to make something for dinner every night and everybody wants something different it would be good it would be good to just have a bottle of water and you go right I'm done I guess the easiness sure I've got myself into a really really bad situation and it's my own fault I did it you said I do and I yeah basically I did it and I'm stuck in it now where I'll get there I do make you and the boys different dinners quite a lot.
27:27I've told you never to do that. And the only thing I don't like about that, I don't mind doing it, but the only thing I don't like is then everybody goes and eats separately. That can happen as well. It does happen when I'm making something different. But yeah, no, on those nights, it would be good to just be like, here's some super fluids. We need to go to Korma Sutra, Nottingham. Yeah. We love Nottingham. I bet it's spicy in there, Claire. it's a joke for you let's have a swipe because I've got a feature coming okay Claire it's well it's a very sort of apt feature today we haven't done this for a while actually we're going to do Buck in the Day love it tell your family tell your friends things were so much better then I just really want to say how I miss Buck in the Day first just a quick reminder keep your emails coming in thebuckleys at platformmedia.uk or message us on Instagram and TikTok at thebuckleyspod.
28:28This is from Bella. Bella. Bella says, I found this little gem while I was sorting out my old stuff, a driving magazine from 2012 slash 2013 from when I passed my test. For audio listeners, this is a picture of a magazine called its first car magazine, glove box edition. and it's me and the other in-betweeners with the yellow car on the cover. Now, that picture, Claire, I think even though this magazine is from 2012, 2013, which, by the way, was when we finished the in-betweeners, I think this picture is actually from 2007. Yeah, it's way older for sure. When we first made the in-betweeners, I've got no memory of doing it and I don't know why we did it.
29:19Stuff you got to do when you're starting it. But I can see the clothes that I'm wearing, all freebies. Of course. All free stuff because I didn't have enough money to buy clothes. Of course. And it's weird when you first get on the television because you don't really earn any money, right? But still you've got to be on magazines and go on talk shows and stuff like that. And it was like, I was literally like, at some points I was like, I can't fucking afford a travel card to get to this place. Right. Like I don't have any money. I'm fitting kitchens yeah oh it's funny I took it out I couldn't believe you look so cute I couldn't believe who was on the cover and then I look inside and there's a whole interview with the boys I wonder if James remembers this at all no no I don't Bella I thought this was a funny little throwback love the pod and all the fun 90s early 2000s nostalgia from Bella thanks Bella what the hell that's amazing James one of the questions in here is any tips for young drivers who are taking their test and you said keep cool and remember that no one is going to shoot you if you fail yeah what the fuck well no because i just remember i remember being really nervous when i took my driving test like like feeling really sick and stuff and then it wasn't until i did it and passed it and years later when i was like i could have just done it again like if i if you fail it you just do it again oh here he is though jb i did a year of lessons before my test but when the day came I was really confident and passed first time I only got about four minors had to get that in didn't you I don't think that's me sometimes they get you mixed up but also they they just paraphrase so I definitely I know for a fact that I definitely didn't say keep cool that's not something I say no you probably didn't keep cool did you say no one's going to shoot you if you fail yeah I probably said that these answers are so boring how close is the show to your own experiences of being a teenager.

31:18JB, very close. Although situations were not as extreme. I remember growing up and constantly taking the piss out of my mates, just like we do in the show. I think sarcasm and taking the piss is a very British thing to do. Selling your PR training? I don't know. I was probably about 19 when I said that. That's so funny. Oh my God. Well, make sure you keep that, Bella. That could be worth a lot of money one day once James and Tom Holland are doing blockbuster films. To be fair, you missed the funniest bit. When asked if they had any tips for young drivers taking their test, me, I said, keep cool and remember no one's going to shoot you if you fail.
31:56Joe Thomas followed up with, except in America, where the test is so easy. If you fail it, you should be shot and probably will be shot. And then Blake said, probably by someone taking their gun test. Right. Okay. So you weren't PR trained then. No. No. God, you did the best out of that. Yeah. I noticed Bud was very quiet. Yeah, he's probably got an eye in fucking saying anything there. Jesus. Simon Bird, I failed my UK test the first time, but as I had already had my American license, when the examiner got out, I totally forgot to wait for my instructor and just drove off on my own. He's not that fucking clever, is he?
32:34We've got another message here from Sean. Johnny. G'day, James and Claire. Just want to say your podcast really helps me on my boring long drives to and from work. Anyway, do you remember the Solero shots? I do. Absolutely I do. They were so good. Where and when did they go? I didn't notice them going. I obviously didn't buy them enough. No. I probably maybe had them. Well, they're quite dear, aren't they? Yeah. That's pricey, that one. I probably maybe had them four times in my whole life. Yeah, same. Same. That is a pricey one. But they're like those things that you get in... America. Universal.
33:06Yeah, the theme park. Diffin' Dots or something. Diffin' Dots. Is that what they're called? Yeah. They're well good. Oh, yeah. Now I've remembered. Now I've remembered why I remembered the name. That's it. Because I came up with a really annoying song for them. And me and your sister just sung it the whole day we were at Universal. Oh, my God. Me and your sister do shit like this all the time. Yeah, you do. A dip, dip, a dipping dust. A dip, dip, dip, dip, dip in dust. That's it. That's the one. Wow. That went on for hours and hours and hours. Yeah, yeah. Also, the Babaloo Bubblegum. I love that.
33:39Is that gone? Yeah. It's got juice in it, isn't it? Yeah, yeah, yeah. It squirted out in your mouth. Yeah. You know all about that Anyway Love the pod Keep up the good work Thanks Sean Yeah thanks for reminding us Of the Solero shots And the Bubbaloo bubblegum Again I think they were Premium stuff Like that Bubbaloo bubblegum You got one You got like one It was one In a packet I think you had to buy Just one Yeah Packet And it was That was probably the price Of Like A load of Hubba Bubba Or something Yeah Yeah I said to the boys The other day To get some 10p crisps For the shop nah because that's just what I call them you know like your Transformers your Space Raiders and they were like 10p Transformers next they were like no Chris cost 10p and I was like well no but you know what I mean nothing costs 10p 20 pence 25 I bought a kebab the other day that was insane I could have knocked you down with a feather I honestly you could have blew me when you told me you told me to guess first of all one it wasn't even a proper kebab it was one kebab wrap no chips it was a kebab wrap no sauce no chips just that he dips it in ketchup which is grim but that's all he got and he said to me because you came in late and it was just me and you in the kitchen it was after I bought you when I looked at the price and he said to me how much do you think that kebab wrap was and obviously when somebody asked you that I was like what did I say like I was thinking expensive I said 6-7 quid yeah what was it £12.50 for a kebab one wrap the world's gone mental that's insane that's what you buy when you've run out of money at the end of the night nuts you've got a couple of quid left over for a kebab £12.50 for a kebab wrap and it weren't by the way it weren't like a posh one a gyro or a gyro or whatever it was your fucking kebab no sauce no salad nothing no I didn't get any extras with it because I don't like it I like it plain just dipped in ketchup I know you do £12.50 not even a pita bread a wrap the kebab wrap by the way has changed my world I've got to get the pita it's too thick I've got to get the pita I've got to have chips I've got to have the whole shebang I need the onion the lettuce I need the little chillies the way I eat it it becomes with a pita bread it becomes too much of a thing because I tear off a bit of pita and then I put a bit of bread make a wee sip oh I love it kebab wrap it's just there it's just just go for it straight away okay what's Scott saying Scott's got a message Claire.
36:14Good. Scott says, hello Buckley's. As a fellow game fanatic, I wanted to reminisce about some of the greatest memories a child could have, opening a brand new video game. Well, not for long. You'd have saved up just enough pocket money to buy it and then play it all the way through until you completed it. Those were the days. Yeah, absolutely brilliant. I love them in the cases, the cartridges. Love the cartridges. I love the whole thing. Were you always blowing in the cartridge to make it work. Sometimes you'd open up the... Okay, that is unbelievable. Sometimes you'd open up where the cartridge goes in and you just...
36:49That is unbelievable. You just give it a little... Well, you remember those days, didn't you? Read that email before I get you into trouble. On the flip side, when you played it too much, it would inevitably get scratched. Oh, so you're a bit younger than me, Scott. And no amount of breathing on it or wiping it with your T-shirt would save it. Yeah, no, scratching your PlayStation game. That was the only problem when they moved to discs. I mean, it did. It blew the fucking doors off, Claire. It really showed what compact discs could do over cartridge, but they were delicate. Yes. And it was kids constantly putting them in, you know, myself included.
37:29Pull them out, put them in, put them out. You were playing with fire. Unfortunately, it looks like discs will soon become obsolete. so no need to worry about games breaking I suppose but you don't own the game Scott thanks for that Scott love that buck in the day I love talking about all this stuff if you've got any in-betweeners memorabilia or any fucking because I've got absolutely no recollection of doing first car magazine it's probably one of the very first you did you think you'd remember stuff like that though wouldn't you like you think Oh, you've done a lot of magazines, babe. No, but I don't want to be like that.
38:09I don't want to be that guy. I can't remember every fucking magazine I've done. You think you just would. You think you would just remember it. I've got a bad memory. You do. You do. Which is a shame as well because all this stuff I should be remembering and appreciating. Young, in a sitcom, not caring the world. But at the time, I was fucking stressed out. I know. that's your problem why didn't I just go I'd love to just go back to that guy that little fella there in that stupid car magazine is that what you would say if you could go back and time machine go back and tell yourself to chill out and relax and have fun I'd say yeah I'd say believe me it's about to get a lot worse someone's about to come into your life and rock your world yeah exactly wrap this up please that's it that's it for this week's episode sorry
