00Never give up. My favorite quote that I've read is by Calvin Coolidge. Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not. Nothing is more common than unsuccessful. men with talent. Genius will not. Unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not. The world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan, press on, has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race. Calvin Coolidge, who was a U.S. president. Even when you think you are beaten, think again, because there's usually a way out. And this past week, I interviewed the next inductee into the Pantheon, which is my hall of fame.

54And there were some great takeaways from that. It was a good interview. You will, when I publish it, learn a lot of lessons on why he succeeded. But it was interesting to also remind myself of using tools because I said, let me take that interview and let me put it into ChatGPT. And let me see what ChatGPT says are the key takeaways and inspirational lessons from that interview with this mentee of mine. Did a great job. One of the things he said, which I think is really, really important, and I would encourage you to think this way as well, is he says he doesn't like to think of himself as having been really successful and accomplished, because if he does that, he'll slow down.

50He still thinks, quote, I hope I make it someday, unquote. What a way to approach the continuing improvement of success. Recognize that you've been successful, but don't spend so much time on that that it slows you down. So good for him. But I want to read you just a few of the takeaways that are more on point with the never quit. Persistence in dealmaking. His strategy of not giving up on deals, negotiating seller finance, and ensuring he had a solid team around him were crucial in his success. And he's in the real estate business. Valuing mentorship, which was nice of him to say. He credited his mentor, Bruce Whipple, for guidance and learning, which significantly impacted his approach to business and acquisitions.

44Remember, there are still some VIP spots, mastermind spots open. The inspirational takeaways. Resilience. Despite numerous setbacks and challenges, this person's story is a testament to the power of resilience and determination in achieving business success. Using adversity as a strength. This person used his tough upbringing and early failures as fuel to drive his success, showing that adversity can be a powerful motivator. Boy, it sure can. importance of a support system. Building a strong support system, including mentors and a capable team, is crucial for long-term success in navigating complex challenges.

27Learning from failure. He viewed mistakes and failures as opportunities to learn and improve, which is a vital mindset for any entrepreneur. This person's journey underscores the value of hard work, strategic networking, continuous learning, and the importance of having a strong mentor, guide, and support one's entrepreneurial endeavors. One of the things that I'm asked a lot is, why do you do this, Bruce? And that interview just drove that home again, is to see at a very young age somebody have this success that he's having. And this is a step along the journey. I am convinced that he will achieve the larger goals, and those goals change over time and get bigger.

17Just was really helpful and really enjoyable for me to have that interview with him, and great to see that success. So that's the reason in large part why I do it. Hard to find good mentees, but I found a good one in him. So I will publish that before too long in the Pantheon, and I would highly encourage you to watch that interview. If you want to learn the process, which is critical, go over to BruceWhipple.com. That Acquisition Advantage Boot Camp is the best that I have on the steps to do and follow. Important to follow those steps, as he commented in that interview. and if you want to just go look at what might make sense to you in starting a conversation go over to brucewhipple.com take a look at the free course there conversation starters if you want to go there directly just go to brucewhipple.com forward slash free course and it'll give you some suggested conversation starters templates etc but remember the value of not quitting it is really common that right before success people throw in the towel and if they had just stayed a little longer they would have had things change much differently so no one is going to that i know of is going to escape setbacks and challenges just remember that remember what calvin coolidge said and watch that pantheon interview when it comes out and use that as fuel to motivate your own business acquisition journey.
